- 3:49Speaker 4: favorite high school basketball team? And they ever won a championship?
- 3:57Speaker 2: High school basketball team? Yeah? High school wrestling?
- 4:01Speaker 3: No basketball basketball, Spaulding wrestling.
- 4:05Speaker 4: Come on, Scotty, you got something here?
- 4:07Speaker 5: Well right, I'm hometown guys, come on, come on, I
- 4:12Speaker 5: don't know I've never watched it.
- 4:15Speaker 2: I only watched it, absolutely, that's what I did.
- 4:19Speaker 4: What do you remember the most about Spalding Hoop? You
- 4:23Speaker 4: remember a particular game, Scotty, No, I sure don't.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I remember the only so it was the same same
- 4:29Speaker 1: time as the year.
- 4:30Speaker 3: The only reason to go to a basketball game was
- 4:32Speaker 3: because a girl invited you, or you invited a girl
- 4:34Speaker 3: or somewhere to go.
- 4:35Speaker 1: And then you don't remember much of the game.
- 4:37Speaker 4: That's okay, all right, that's that's fine.
- 4:39Speaker 2: That's how high school games were, all right, you.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Know.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Chuck Welch oh, Jim Andy, you're old.
- 4:48Speaker 1: I am.
- 4:49Speaker 5: I remember I was on the last team team for
- 4:54Speaker 5: what else, And we won the state champions, the last
- 4:57Speaker 5: time anyone's won it other.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Than oh, you must had Cobek on your team.
- 5:01Speaker 5: Yeah, Colbeth, uh, you had Sean Colbeth, Sewan, Colbeth Hector,
- 5:06Speaker 5: Shalou Hector, y yep.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Mike Bernier, Yeah, that was car Carrie Welch, Rusty Copping.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Those guys were all state champions.
- 5:16Speaker 5: And then a couple of us other slubs brought in
- 5:18Speaker 5: a couple extra points and we were the state champions.
- 5:21Speaker 3: And that was the last time ever since then, Mount
- 5:23Speaker 3: Anthony's won every single year.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Yeah, there's been some sketchy years.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Last year was a sketchy year because they shouldn't have won.
- 5:30Speaker 3: They didn't deduct the points out of the same thing. Well,
- 5:34Speaker 3: they just did it to a kid from Spawling and
- 5:36Speaker 3: they took third at wrestling because they disqualified him to
- 5:39Speaker 3: his points.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Away or something. I don't remember what that was.
- 5:43Speaker 4: Chuck Welch is great, dude.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Oh he's awesome.
- 5:45Speaker 4: He's such a great guy.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Oh yeah, he was coaching when my dad wrestled, I
- 5:49Speaker 3: think in nineteen seventy.
- 5:53Speaker 2: That's so old.
- 5:53Speaker 4: That guy was uh Mikaela Bernier. Yeah really, she's saying
- 6:01Speaker 4: that's my dad.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, BURNI here, no.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Shit, yeah he was. He was a force to be
- 6:06Speaker 1: reckoned with.
- 6:08Speaker 3: My god, it's different when you get grabbed a hold
- 6:10Speaker 3: of by a wrestler.
- 6:11Speaker 4: By the way, Hastin beat White River Valley last night,
- 6:14Speaker 4: sixty two to fifty and Thetford took out Wenouski sixty
- 6:18Speaker 4: two forty six. Uh you guys, watch any march madness.
- 6:21Speaker 4: You getting worked up about this falling at the mouth
- 6:24Speaker 4: over march madness?
- 6:26Speaker 1: Yeah, like I like this.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Basketball?
- 6:29Speaker 1: Yeah, basketball?
- 6:30Speaker 2: What is that.
- 6:30Speaker 1: No, isn't there hockey going on? Okay?
- 6:32Speaker 5: Sorry, I like to bet on it, and I don't
- 6:36Speaker 5: get too worked up about it. Again, I'm I'm a
- 6:38Speaker 5: local guy. I vote for local teams.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Go o Vermont.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Well we get to Well, one of the thing is
- 6:43Speaker 3: Scott he's always at our fights. Yeah, I know, Greg,
- 6:45Speaker 3: those those guys have.
- 6:46Speaker 2: A table up.
- 6:47Speaker 4: He was just telling me always absolutely yeah you said,
- 6:50Speaker 4: you said, at the same table with Gabe Cole.
- 6:53Speaker 5: Well yeah, sometimes yeah, yeah, wow yeah, speaking of great whoever,
- 6:57Speaker 5: let everybody will let me sit at the table.
- 6:59Speaker 4: I'm okay speaking of Uh so your hockey guy, you
- 7:02Speaker 4: like hockey? Yeah, you can watch any of this Norwich?
- 7:06Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Norwich.
- 7:07Speaker 5: You know I go a couple times a year's uh
- 7:10Speaker 5: down to Christburg and it's always fun, you know, it's
- 7:13Speaker 5: it's great fast. Yeah, you know, college hockey right in
- 7:17Speaker 5: our backyard.
- 7:18Speaker 2: If you haven't been, hopefully the way, you don't realize.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Even wrestling, like when we went from high school wrestling
- 7:25Speaker 3: and then Stoner Corshack and Tony Calcanny came back from
- 7:27Speaker 3: college and beat the ever living ship out of us.
- 7:30Speaker 2: It was just a total different level, different level.
- 7:33Speaker 4: Yeah, Hopefully Norwich is going to be in the championship
- 7:37Speaker 4: game and Sunday we'll see what happens. We're rooting for him. Yeah,
- 7:41Speaker 4: we'll be uh, we'll be watching.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Man.
- 7:43Speaker 4: It's uh, just checking some of the headlines this morning.
- 7:47Speaker 4: The Cross of Brook Middle School in Duxbury closed yesterday
- 7:50Speaker 4: because of flooding. Uh, they're going to stay closed today.
- 7:52Speaker 4: The water came into the building through an underground telecommunications
- 7:57Speaker 4: conduit from the Brook following heavy rains and snow.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Mell failed.
- 8:03Speaker 4: They've been they've been trying to get the state to
- 8:06Speaker 4: to get that fixed for a long time.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Good luck.
- 8:08Speaker 3: Maybe, Yeah, you should have done that four years ago.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Them federal funds to fix that.
- 8:14Speaker 4: They be warning them about it, and then they just aren't.
- 8:17Speaker 3: They didn't just sign in executive order to dismantle the
- 8:19Speaker 3: whole Department of Education as well.
- 8:21Speaker 2: That's that's the state's deal with the states.
- 8:23Speaker 4: Don't have the money for you, Scott.
- 8:25Speaker 2: You see what's happening here.
- 8:26Speaker 4: See where it's getting me in trouble already, Jesus Uh.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Romont State Police investigating a report of gunfire in Richford
- 8:36Speaker 4: say they received to report Thursday afternoon about shots fired.
- 8:39Speaker 2: No way, somebody shot a gun in Vermont. That is
- 8:42Speaker 2: so off the wall. Who would think of such a thing?
- 8:45Speaker 2: That is absolutely nuts?
- 8:47Speaker 3: What kind of world are we living in when people
- 8:49Speaker 3: just shoot in Vermont? Next they're gonna be out there
- 8:52Speaker 3: fucking hunting it. There's my jd where you got a
- 8:56Speaker 3: star some money, dude. I watched my podcast some last
- 9:00Speaker 3: Friday and it was absolutely ridiculous. You can't let my
- 9:03Speaker 3: body mouth run like that here, Jim, and I'm gonna
- 9:07Speaker 3: give you another.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Fifty bucks just to cover for a couple of days.
- 9:13Speaker 2: All right, all right, So there we go.
- 9:17Speaker 4: Just slide it in, yeah, just put it in so
- 9:20Speaker 4: national headlines. Uh, let's see if Rachel interrupt me here.
- 9:25Speaker 4: President Donald Trump could decide this week to take the
- 9:28Speaker 4: first steps to eliminate the Department of Education. See what
- 9:31Speaker 4: I do, Scotti is I just kind of read what's
- 9:34Speaker 4: going on here? And then he jumps in and gets
- 9:37Speaker 4: blood pressure goes right.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Color. He brings the color.
- 9:40Speaker 4: White House officials has prepared in executive order directing Education
- 9:45Speaker 4: Secretary Linda McMahon to begin the process of dismantling the department.
- 9:50Speaker 3: Did you ever think that we'd have somebody from the
- 9:52Speaker 3: WWF running our government.
- 9:54Speaker 2: But how cool is that? Now? Huh? She was she's
- 9:57Speaker 2: Vince's wife. Huh Yeah, I don't know.
- 10:04Speaker 3: After them text came out of what he was doing
- 10:06Speaker 3: to them girls, and well what they were all doing
- 10:08Speaker 3: to them girls.
- 10:09Speaker 2: I don't think he has a wife anymore.
- 10:11Speaker 4: Vince McMahon has got one of the scariest faces I've
- 10:14Speaker 4: ever seen on somebody, almost.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Voided out for years. I'm sure he's in angry elf.
- 10:22Speaker 4: Roided out for years, Scotty, have you been roided out
- 10:26Speaker 4: for years? So what else we have? Department of Government
- 10:33Speaker 4: Efficiency is swinging the acts on veterans. Veterans making up
- 10:38Speaker 4: thirty of the federal workforce.
- 10:42Speaker 3: They voted for it. They're getting what they want. I
- 10:44Speaker 3: don't know what to tell them.
- 10:45Speaker 2: I mean, you.
- 10:48Speaker 4: Voted for Scottie is such a smart guy.
- 10:51Speaker 1: See, I'm just here, mart guy.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Yeah you are really I know, and I gotta stop. Yes,
- 11:00Speaker 2: thank you. I don't care. People got what they wanted.
- 11:03Speaker 4: National Transportation Safety Board says a can we still have
- 11:08Speaker 4: one of them? Apparently we do right now we do.
- 11:12Speaker 4: It's fifteen Who knows that could change by nine third?
- 11:17Speaker 2: Could?
- 11:18Speaker 4: They're saying to the cockpit voice recorder was not working
- 11:22Speaker 4: on that medical transport plane that crashed in Philadelphia in
- 11:26Speaker 4: January and likely uh that voice recorder had not been
- 11:30Speaker 4: working for several years.
- 11:33Speaker 2: How did it pass? Okay? So there don't they inspect
- 11:36Speaker 2: these planes?
- 11:38Speaker 3: So every single time you have to have an inspector
- 11:41Speaker 3: go out through and they go through so you first
- 11:43Speaker 3: you have your crew members, your crew chiefs. They have
- 11:45Speaker 3: a logbook that they go down through. Anything that's not
- 11:47Speaker 3: working has to be in there. So it either becomes
- 11:49Speaker 3: a red X to aircraft when they put when they
- 11:51Speaker 3: put a red X in there, that means that something
- 11:55Speaker 3: that means it can't fly. If they put a red
- 11:57Speaker 3: dash in there, that means it can still fly.
- 11:59Speaker 2: But there's a def act.
- 12:00Speaker 4: This is what drives me nuts about the news is
- 12:03Speaker 4: that they just say give you half story.
- 12:05Speaker 2: They give you half the story it want.
- 12:08Speaker 3: They only want to get you the part, the sensational part.
- 12:10Speaker 3: That's that's all right.
- 12:11Speaker 4: Anybody ever want to know why? I want to know why?
- 12:15Speaker 4: Why was why did this slip through the cracks? What
- 12:18Speaker 4: else is slipping through the cracks?
- 12:19Speaker 2: Stop asking silly questions like that did you check.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Them bolts on the door Oh my god. So I
- 12:26Speaker 3: used to fly on Hell and I remember I went
- 12:28Speaker 3: on a test flight. We had just gotten a helicopter,
- 12:30Speaker 3: drawing me a test pilot and stuff like that, and
- 12:32Speaker 3: he was new, brand new man, and I was like,
- 12:35Speaker 3: I just remember we flew we we fired it up,
- 12:38Speaker 3: and he was checking the controls and I was like, hey.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Sir, I had a can of nuts and bolts. I
- 12:44Speaker 2: was like, I have no clue where this can came from.
- 12:48Speaker 3: He was so upset the jokes you would play on pilots,
- 12:51Speaker 3: new pilots.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Like, I watched the guy.
- 12:54Speaker 3: He was you do a fire up, sit now, and
- 12:58Speaker 3: he's giving you your hand signals and stuff like that.
- 13:00Speaker 3: And he noticed that the pilot was really focused on
- 13:03Speaker 3: his logbook and shit like that, and he threw his headset.
- 13:07Speaker 3: He was wearing a headset just like that, and he
- 13:09Speaker 3: threw it up onto the windshield and went down and
- 13:10Speaker 3: then he ducked underneath. Dude, that pilot thought he took
- 13:13Speaker 3: the head off of that fucking guy over there.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Just freaked him out. They had a lot of fun
- 13:19Speaker 2: in the area.
- 13:20Speaker 4: Vladimir Zolensky, or as Rex says, vlat Vlad is now
- 13:26Speaker 4: saying Thursday, which was yesterday, that his country is going
- 13:31Speaker 4: to be holding talks with the United States about ending
- 13:33Speaker 4: the war against Russia next week.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Yeah so, but part of the get together and have
- 13:39Speaker 2: a cup of coffee.
- 13:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I doubt it that Zelensky Obviously obviously Trump doesn't
- 13:44Speaker 3: like Zelensky. He got him in Peach last time. There's
- 13:47Speaker 3: a reason why this whole revenge thing. I mean, you
- 13:51Speaker 3: could say it's about money or whatever it is, but
- 13:55Speaker 3: Israel is not giving back their three hundred and ten
- 13:57Speaker 3: billion dollars. They're not conceding any land of the Palestinians.
- 14:00Speaker 3: So it's not really about money. It's it's about tit
- 14:02Speaker 3: for tat. There's lithium that those mineral shits on a
- 14:06Speaker 3: lithium who uses a major amount of lithium in the
- 14:09Speaker 3: United States Tesla, Yeah, come on, it's gonna we all
- 14:13Speaker 3: know what's going on. But they already met with the EU,
- 14:16Speaker 3: and the EU they talked about what they would concede too,
- 14:19Speaker 3: and one of them is they're not conceding any minerals
- 14:22Speaker 3: unless we once again say that we're going to provide security,
- 14:28Speaker 3: just like we promised them in nineteen ninety four, and
- 14:30Speaker 3: we backed up. Why I don't understand how we have
- 14:32Speaker 3: any allies. We've screwed so many allies over throughout the year, but.
- 14:37Speaker 1: They still look to us.
- 14:38Speaker 3: Yeah, why I wouldn't if you if I kept going, hey, Scottie, uh,
- 14:44Speaker 3: would you pick my mom up at the airport? And
- 14:46Speaker 3: you just failed to pick her up every single time?
- 14:49Speaker 3: At some point, No, at some point, you're not really
- 14:53Speaker 3: an ally, You're not really a friend. But we do this,
- 14:55Speaker 3: whether it was the Afghan people we pulled out, the
- 14:58Speaker 3: Vietcong people that we became allies, you know that those
- 15:02Speaker 3: Vietnamese mountain yard people that we left behind.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Every single time we get into.
- 15:06Speaker 3: A conflict, we fuck our allies over. So and the
- 15:09Speaker 3: reason is is because.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Put it in there.
- 15:13Speaker 3: But but it's every four years, because every policy changes
- 15:16Speaker 3: every four years, so that so allies can only depend
- 15:20Speaker 3: on four years at a time with us.
- 15:22Speaker 4: Really, let me explain to you exactly what Scotty Wilson
- 15:27Speaker 4: is thinking right now.
- 15:29Speaker 2: When are we going to get to the samples of miles.
- 15:32Speaker 3: Let's talk about Scotty, Let's stop talking about policies.
- 15:35Speaker 4: Scotty is right now saying in his mind, oh my god,
- 15:41Speaker 4: what what's going on? Right now, What have I gotten into?
- 15:44Speaker 4: What day of the week is?
- 15:46Speaker 2: Where? Where am I?
- 15:47Speaker 6: What?
- 15:47Speaker 3: He brought a window sample down here, and he's like
- 15:51Speaker 3: and and the owners of RK miles are sweating right
- 15:55Speaker 3: now profusely, like.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Does anything, don't say anything, you know, and I don't.
- 16:03Speaker 3: I don't think about that, but that it absolutely politics, religion,
- 16:06Speaker 3: all that stuff can affect business.
- 16:09Speaker 4: Of course, Scottie, take a deep breath. It's gonna be okay,
- 16:15Speaker 4: It's it's gonna be okay.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Let's talk about Scotty. He's a local legend. You were
- 16:21Speaker 2: with you were with Alan first, Yes, thousands of years,
- 16:26Speaker 2: thousands and thousands.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I started there when I was ten.
- 16:30Speaker 2: No, no, I uh honestly wouldn't. It wouldn't surprise me though,
- 16:35Speaker 2: it wouldn't.
- 16:36Speaker 5: Well back in the day, all right, My first experience
- 16:39Speaker 5: with the forklift was with Leomanaghan.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Oh my god, the child molesser.
- 16:44Speaker 3: Dude, Hey, hey, hey, no way, I that was my
- 16:48Speaker 3: very first job at two dollars and seventy five cents.
- 16:50Speaker 2: And now that old perv.
- 16:52Speaker 4: Yeah, well he gave I'm looking from my whistle here
- 16:55Speaker 4: got an air.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Oh I have not heard that name in a long time.
- 16:59Speaker 1: That's I got my start on the forklift.
- 17:01Speaker 4: But anyway, South Burry very yet, he's fine, He's okay.
- 17:07Speaker 2: And then I you know, I went to college at VTC.
- 17:10Speaker 5: Yeah, and I well, let's just say it was the
- 17:13Speaker 5: most expensive hotel I ever stayed in.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Well, anyway, I didn't make it through, let's just say.
- 17:20Speaker 1: And so.
- 17:22Speaker 3: I went and my dad said, well, you got to
- 17:25Speaker 3: get a job, boy, And so I said where And
- 17:27Speaker 3: he said.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Well, go try Ala Lumber.
- 17:29Speaker 4: How old are you now?
- 17:31Speaker 1: I just turned fifty seven years old yesterday.
- 17:34Speaker 2: So you are that much older. I didn't realize you're
- 17:36Speaker 2: five years older.
- 17:37Speaker 7: Man.
- 17:38Speaker 4: This was in the seventies. Dad's saying, get off your ass.
- 17:41Speaker 4: In the seventies.
- 17:43Speaker 5: Uh no, this was eighty eighty eighty six, eighty seven,
- 17:47Speaker 5: all right, all right, okay, So I was just getting
- 17:49Speaker 5: into high school.
- 17:50Speaker 1: You were just in high school. Yeah, you're just a.
- 17:52Speaker 4: Young whole different world back then, yeah, a whttle different world.
- 17:55Speaker 4: So he says, get a job.
- 17:56Speaker 1: You get a job.
- 17:57Speaker 5: I went to Ala Lumber, put in the thing, got
- 18:00Speaker 5: a call, you got the job.
- 18:01Speaker 2: I showed up and Bernie Allen, who's the boss.
- 18:06Speaker 5: I walked in there, and I'm like hey, I'm here
- 18:08Speaker 5: to start start working. He says, who the hell are you, Jesus,
- 18:12Speaker 5: And I said, well, I'm Scott Wilson, and he goes,
- 18:15Speaker 5: oh no, I'm like, what do you mean. Well, my
- 18:18Speaker 5: dad's name was Scott Wilson too, So my dad had
- 18:21Speaker 5: done work for Bernie at his house. He used to
- 18:24Speaker 5: work for Pools Incorporated in Tigerson Construction and had fixed
- 18:28Speaker 5: his swimming pool and done a really good job. So
- 18:31Speaker 5: Bernie's was like, oh, I like this guy, I'm hiring
- 18:33Speaker 5: him and then this, and he's.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Like, well, okay, I'll give you a chance. And so
- 18:42Speaker 2: thirty seven years later, Wow, I'm still working.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Out of the same building.
- 18:47Speaker 4: Damn fella.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm boring.
- 18:49Speaker 7: Wow.
- 18:49Speaker 2: That's loyal and commitment.
- 18:51Speaker 4: Right, yeah, yep, yep, yep, that's a lot of loyal
- 18:54Speaker 4: anybody stay with a business.
- 18:56Speaker 3: So just thirty reference, I think I've been through probably
- 19:01Speaker 3: thirty salesmen in the amount of time that I've been
- 19:06Speaker 3: in business.
- 19:07Speaker 2: I've been in business.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Me and Pete started with started together in ninety seven,
- 19:11Speaker 3: ninety six, and so every lumberyard it's like the turnover
- 19:18Speaker 3: rate on salesmen. So to have a salesman that's been
- 19:21Speaker 3: at RK Miles for thirty seven years.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Insane.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Whether it's Harvey's, whether it's Poolands, whether it was Laccolades.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Nobody can retain their salesman like that.
- 19:31Speaker 5: Well, you know, the Allens took me in, you know,
- 19:33Speaker 5: Bernie Allen gave me that chance.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Yeah, and you know, he he uh.
- 19:38Speaker 1: He believed in me.
- 19:39Speaker 2: And you know, uh, you know, there was a couple
- 19:42Speaker 2: of stumbling blocks.
- 19:43Speaker 1: That was a kid.
- 19:44Speaker 2: You know, I drank a lot of joelt cola.
- 19:46Speaker 4: How many how many people think that your last name
- 19:50Speaker 4: is Allen.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Well Miles, yeah or Miles. It gets messed up a lot, seriously.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:56Speaker 5: Well, you know, I'm an advocate for my company, right,
- 20:00Speaker 5: an ambassador, so to say, very much. And I was
- 20:03Speaker 5: always for the Allens, and now I am for my
- 20:06Speaker 5: new employee, mister Miles, who is also a local family
- 20:12Speaker 5: no way family guy.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Yeah, well he's so. RK Miles started way way back,
- 20:17Speaker 2: way way back.
- 20:19Speaker 5: You know, four generations ago when they were they cut
- 20:24Speaker 5: trees down right, they did logging, and then in nineteen
- 20:27Speaker 5: forty they started r K Miles as we know it
- 20:30Speaker 5: down in Manchester, Vermont. And that was Robert, that was
- 20:34Speaker 5: running that second generation. And now you said nineteen forty,
- 20:37Speaker 5: nineteen forty, so this year is a big anniversary for
- 20:40Speaker 5: us eighty five years.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Wow, yep.
- 20:42Speaker 2: But then Joe.
- 20:44Speaker 5: Miles took over nineteen ninety and so that he's the
- 20:48Speaker 5: third generation, and Henry Miles, which is his son, is
- 20:51Speaker 5: now up and coming you know in the thing.
- 20:54Speaker 1: So yeah, R K.
- 20:55Speaker 5: Miles is a family owned in a Vermont, family owned
- 21:00Speaker 5: and operated business.
- 21:01Speaker 2: A lot of people say, oh, it's corporate.
- 21:03Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I absolutely I assume that I have one
- 21:05Speaker 3: hundred percent assume that JD assumed that.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Yeah. No, no, we're definitely not.
- 21:09Speaker 3: Because when pulland got bought out, they actually got bought
- 21:11Speaker 3: out by USBLM and Alls. They are is a huge
- 21:14Speaker 3: conglomerate that buys up businesses, run them into the ground,
- 21:17Speaker 3: and then sell them again.
- 21:18Speaker 2: That's what they do.
- 21:20Speaker 3: So I was assuming, you know, because as we've seen
- 21:23Speaker 3: in the past few years with COVID and everything, the
- 21:25Speaker 3: price rushed companies.
- 21:28Speaker 2: It really has, it really has.
- 21:29Speaker 5: But one thing I really like about mister Miles is right,
- 21:32Speaker 5: he's what he must be. Maybe he's a little older
- 21:35Speaker 5: than I am, but anyway, he's still striving to do
- 21:39Speaker 5: more and to do better and to and could get
- 21:42Speaker 5: bigger and to be able to supply.
- 21:44Speaker 1: You know.
- 21:44Speaker 5: Basically his motto is everything you need to build anything.
- 21:49Speaker 5: So we got it down.
- 21:51Speaker 4: So what was up with with Morrisville?
- 21:54Speaker 2: So Morrisville, so you know I agree about that.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:59Speaker 5: So what happened was Arcade Miles was down in Manchester, Vermont.
- 22:02Speaker 5: They were trying to expand and they bought the morris
- 22:04Speaker 5: Field store and then they were driving by all the
- 22:07Speaker 5: Allen Lumber stores you know, with trucks, and then the
- 22:11Speaker 5: Allens were looking to get out and so yeah, it
- 22:14Speaker 5: was a perfect perfect match for mister Biles. You know,
- 22:17Speaker 5: we sell the same exact products, right, still sell the
- 22:20Speaker 5: same windows and doors and everything. So they were like
- 22:23Speaker 5: sister stores. Yeah, same Vermont. You know, it's flannel Friday.
- 22:27Speaker 5: That's one of Joe's things. He's a Vermont guy. And yeah,
- 22:31Speaker 5: I slid right into the new position very easily.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Man.
- 22:34Speaker 3: I'm so glad we had you on here, because I
- 22:36Speaker 3: honestly did not. I thought Arcade Miles was.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Just some Yeah, you know, the Allens were good old boys,
- 22:41Speaker 2: been in them.
- 22:41Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 22:42Speaker 2: I've been in business for uh, you know a long time.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Yes, thirty seven years.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Yeah, and they built up with what is it, the
- 22:51Speaker 3: Huntington homes.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Yeah, they built up hunting At homes and thunder Road.
- 22:54Speaker 6: Right.
- 22:54Speaker 5: They were good old boys and and people, especially in Vermont.
- 22:59Speaker 2: I don't like change, right. I've lived in the same
- 23:01Speaker 2: house my whole life. I've had the same home phone
- 23:03Speaker 2: number life. Ye lame capital l well in that way.
- 23:09Speaker 2: But you guys need me for excitement.
- 23:13Speaker 4: I think I think that's incredible. You my god, you know, Uh,
- 23:19Speaker 4: Carl Rinker was was just was just.
- 23:21Speaker 2: In here one hundred years.
- 23:23Speaker 4: He just told me that he's still living in his
- 23:26Speaker 4: childhood home. And he's like one hundred and five years old.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Now he's wicked old. Yeah.
- 23:30Speaker 4: And where's she where's this childhood home?
- 23:33Speaker 2: Uh, it's up in uh in Granville on Holden Road.
- 23:37Speaker 2: My god, many same same spottle. You know.
- 23:40Speaker 5: Uh, my dad died when I was you know, twenty
- 23:45Speaker 5: and uh, you know, my me and my mom, my
- 23:47Speaker 5: sister lived there. And then you know, after a while,
- 23:49Speaker 5: my mom you know, started to date and got out
- 23:53Speaker 5: and got a new and then she was ready to
- 23:54Speaker 5: sell the house.
- 23:55Speaker 2: And I was at the age where I was ready
- 23:57Speaker 2: to look in for a house.
- 23:58Speaker 1: So there. Wow, know what happened? Got lucky wretch?
- 24:02Speaker 4: Isn't this You talk about this all the time all
- 24:05Speaker 4: the time?
- 24:05Speaker 2: Keeping families together together, community together.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Absolutely, you want to really screw the government over it
- 24:12Speaker 3: becomes self sufficient?
- 24:14Speaker 2: Self sufficient they hate you when you don't need them. Yeah,
- 24:18Speaker 2: I really I think that's remarkable. Man.
- 24:20Speaker 4: And and are you dad?
- 24:23Speaker 1: Yes, I am a dad.
- 24:24Speaker 2: How many kids? I have one boy?
- 24:26Speaker 3: All right, his name's Brad, Brad Wilson, and yeah, he's.
- 24:31Speaker 2: Coming up on his twenty seventh birthday.
- 24:34Speaker 4: We have Stacey here saying that you that she's your
- 24:37Speaker 4: sister and she's been at her job for thirty three years,
- 24:40Speaker 4: and she says something that our parents, our parents instilled
- 24:45Speaker 4: a strong worth work ethic. You knows, that's what she says.
- 24:48Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, I was thinking about how many days
- 24:52Speaker 5: and hours that I have, you know, had to wake
- 24:54Speaker 5: up to be to work for seven o'clock in the morning,
- 24:57Speaker 5: and uh, yeah, that's a tough one.
- 24:59Speaker 3: Yeah, you know. Now I can't even sleep late on
- 25:02Speaker 3: the weekend. It just my eyes like, nah, I can't
- 25:05Speaker 3: e Like I slept until seven thirty the other day.
- 25:07Speaker 2: I was like, oh my god, I must be coming
- 25:09Speaker 2: down with something.
- 25:10Speaker 3: Start drinking vitamin sea and zinc because if I sleep
- 25:13Speaker 3: till seven thirty, I know something wrong.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Yeah, it's uh, you know.
- 25:18Speaker 3: And it was really hard when I was young though,
- 25:20Speaker 3: and you didn't know, like when you had to get
- 25:21Speaker 3: up mere like I don't want to go.
- 25:22Speaker 2: I just don't want to go. It was hard to
- 25:24Speaker 2: wake up. Now it's just as well.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I just else you're gonna do.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Said exactly, I'll sleep when I die.
- 25:31Speaker 4: What's what's uh? What keeps you in this this field?
- 25:35Speaker 4: I mean, obviously you're you're very familiar with it. You
- 25:37Speaker 4: must love what you do if there's no way impossible
- 25:41Speaker 4: that you could be doing it for thirty seven years.
- 25:43Speaker 5: No, you know, I say I've been doing the same
- 25:45Speaker 5: thing for thirty seven years, but that's not really true.
- 25:48Speaker 1: You know.
- 25:48Speaker 5: When I first started, I was waiting on the counter,
- 25:50Speaker 5: you know, waiting on people.
- 25:52Speaker 3: And now you're not really a salesman. I just like
- 25:54Speaker 3: call you and bug you because I know.
- 25:56Speaker 5: You, you know, but I've done the you know, in
- 25:58Speaker 5: the counter sales. I've done the ordering. Then I went
- 26:01Speaker 5: to mill work, you know, doors and windows, and then
- 26:05Speaker 5: I actually was the manager assistant manager down in Montpellier
- 26:09Speaker 5: and the manager down there for ten years and then
- 26:12Speaker 5: and outside sales really wasn't something that all Lumber had.
- 26:15Speaker 5: And then one day an outside sales person from another
- 26:19Speaker 5: company came into town and we heard about it. And
- 26:22Speaker 5: you know, I said to Gary all and I said,
- 26:24Speaker 5: we need an outside sales person.
- 26:25Speaker 1: He's like, well, shut up and go do it.
- 26:27Speaker 5: And so I started doing outside sales now. And for
- 26:32Speaker 5: Urk Miles, I'm a service technician, so that is awesome.
- 26:37Speaker 4: You know what in the hell is a service technician.
- 26:41Speaker 5: Well, so we sell products right to two people, and
- 26:46Speaker 5: sometimes something isn't quite right.
- 26:49Speaker 1: You know, I bought a window.
- 26:51Speaker 2: I'll tell you why I switched the ark Miles. Here.
- 26:54Speaker 2: He gets done, though, the.
- 26:54Speaker 5: Sash lock might be broken when you got it, Oh Darren,
- 26:58Speaker 5: Oh my god. You know, before or before I had
- 27:01Speaker 5: this position, we would have to wait for the service
- 27:04Speaker 5: technician from the specific company to come and fix it.
- 27:08Speaker 5: And in Vermont, we only have three months of summer,
- 27:11Speaker 5: and the contractors can't wait that long to wait from
- 27:14Speaker 5: some guy from Minnesota to come all the way out
- 27:16Speaker 5: here to fix the sash flock. So mister Miles said,
- 27:19Speaker 5: I'm gonna buy you van. We're gonna train you up
- 27:21Speaker 5: and we're gonna get you out there in the in
- 27:23Speaker 5: the field helping, helping people whatever their problem might be.
- 27:28Speaker 5: Whether it's oh, geez, you know, my window doesn't close correctly,
- 27:32Speaker 5: or God my my my cabinet drawer doesn't close all
- 27:35Speaker 5: the way, or it's something wrong with my roofing, or
- 27:37Speaker 5: whatever it might be.
- 27:38Speaker 2: I'm going out.
- 27:40Speaker 5: To meet with the with the with the people that
- 27:42Speaker 5: are having the problem and fix it. So that way,
- 27:46Speaker 5: you know you expect a quality product when you get
- 27:48Speaker 5: it and and something's wrong, we make sure that you're
- 27:51Speaker 5: happy at the end.
- 27:52Speaker 3: And I can install stuff, but if the product fails,
- 27:58Speaker 3: it doesn't fall on me, but I get I get
- 28:00Speaker 3: the phone call.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Yep.
- 28:01Speaker 3: So it's all of the lumber yards around they all
- 28:06Speaker 3: claim the same thing. We stand behind our product, we
- 28:09Speaker 3: stand behind our produce, and they all say it, but
- 28:12Speaker 3: it's all lip service. Because I put in a door
- 28:16Speaker 3: for a guy in Williamstown. It cost him five thousand dollars.
- 28:20Speaker 3: There was the door was warped, there was a three
- 28:22Speaker 3: eights inch gap on the on the between the hinge side.
- 28:27Speaker 2: It took me six months for them.
- 28:30Speaker 3: To finally agree to have somebody come up and just
- 28:32Speaker 3: look at it. Then they came up and they we
- 28:35Speaker 3: put a level on it, and we showed the bow
- 28:36Speaker 3: right inside of it, and they said, well, we're not
- 28:39Speaker 3: going to replace the door that's within you know what.
- 28:41Speaker 3: They told me, that's within industry.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Standards and made him eat that five thousand dollar door.
- 28:47Speaker 2: They said, well, we'll give you like a thousand dollars
- 28:50Speaker 2: credit and you just live with it.
- 28:52Speaker 4: Do they understand that homes up here in the North
- 28:54Speaker 4: Country move and ship?
- 28:56Speaker 3: No they don't, because I'm telling you that that's where
- 28:58Speaker 3: the difference between our miles and other lumber yards is.
- 29:02Speaker 3: Their service doesn't stop once your check clears. Of the
- 29:08Speaker 3: other lumber yards, they'll tell you anything to get you
- 29:10Speaker 3: to write that check. They'll tell you, like I specifically
- 29:14Speaker 3: buy my windows from him because you carry those ones
- 29:16Speaker 3: that come with a lifetime warranty out of Maine.
- 29:18Speaker 2: What the hell's the name of them?
- 29:19Speaker 1: Paradigm.
- 29:20Speaker 3: Yes, those things are incredible. So I had another example.
- 29:25Speaker 3: They came out with a new product and it was
- 29:27Speaker 3: supposed to be a pre primed.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Trim board.
- 29:31Speaker 3: Okay, okay, I put it all on Carl Parton's house
- 29:36Speaker 3: all the paint peeled off, it like flaked right off
- 29:39Speaker 3: of Then I called the lumber yard. We're talking about
- 29:43Speaker 3: four or five thousand dollars worth of trim on a house, yep.
- 29:46Speaker 3: And I called the lumberyard.
- 29:47Speaker 2: I called them. I called them.
- 29:48Speaker 3: I talked to the salesman over and over, and this is,
- 29:50Speaker 3: you know, of course, another salesman, because it's not the
- 29:53Speaker 3: original salesman. And they're like, well, you have too much,
- 29:56Speaker 3: you have too much moisture. And I was like, you
- 29:57Speaker 3: didn't even go up and look at it. I was like,
- 30:00Speaker 3: it came pre primed, we put it on. If there's
- 30:05Speaker 3: too much moisture, then it came from the factory.
- 30:06Speaker 4: That way.
- 30:07Speaker 2: So interesting, they refuse.
- 30:10Speaker 3: To do anything about it. I finally got a hold
- 30:12Speaker 3: of the manufacturer. I talked to the little old man.
- 30:14Speaker 3: We went back and forth. I sent him the pictures
- 30:16Speaker 3: and he explained to me the whole process of it, how
- 30:18Speaker 3: it couldn't work and YadA yady, and then I sent
- 30:20Speaker 3: him the pictures and he goes, you're right, something happened
- 30:22Speaker 3: in the process of us making it, and it was
- 30:24Speaker 3: a failure at the manufacturer. And I ate I had
- 30:28Speaker 3: to go up and eat all of that trim up
- 30:30Speaker 3: on Carl Parton's house for my own reputee, for my
- 30:35Speaker 3: own reputation though, So I could have just said, hey,
- 30:38Speaker 3: that's on the manufacturer, go fuck yourself. And I have
- 30:41Speaker 3: to live around here and face these people every single day,
- 30:44Speaker 3: thanks Scotty. So and that's the nice thing between like
- 30:48Speaker 3: having a big corporate and having someone like RK.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Miles and Scotty. Scotty walks around here every day.
- 30:52Speaker 3: He goes into Gusto's and has to face those people
- 30:55Speaker 3: that are customers and stuff. Those guys over in corporate
- 30:59Speaker 3: don't have to face, so they don't care. So that's
- 31:03Speaker 3: why I had to eat those things. That's the reason
- 31:05Speaker 3: I stopped going to them, because I'm done eating it
- 31:08Speaker 3: to save my face, because your product sucks.
- 31:13Speaker 5: This We'll be okay, you know, high quality products is
- 31:16Speaker 5: what we're selling, right. Yeah, see how I did that? Yeah,
- 31:19Speaker 5: beautif see I'm working it. Uh, we sell high quality products.
- 31:22Speaker 5: And yeah, sometimes stuff happens, right and and and I've
- 31:26Speaker 5: gone out to the job where maybe the install wasn't
- 31:28Speaker 5: perfect right, But my job is not to point at that.
- 31:33Speaker 5: My job is to try to get the product closer
- 31:36Speaker 5: to the way you expect it. So you know, if
- 31:39Speaker 5: I see, if we see a door that's way out
- 31:41Speaker 5: of square and way out of plumb, do I say, well, hey,
- 31:44Speaker 5: you guy, I didn't put it in right. No, I say,
- 31:47Speaker 5: let's come up with a solution on how to get
- 31:49Speaker 5: this to work better.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Yep, it's all in how you word it, baby.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, right, because it's how.
- 31:56Speaker 5: And then I sit there and I talked to the
- 31:59Speaker 5: contract I'm like, oh, hey, if we do this, we
- 32:01Speaker 5: do that, I think we can get this door to
- 32:02Speaker 5: come back into it right. And then that way we're
- 32:04Speaker 5: all working together, and at the end, the homeowner's happy,
- 32:07Speaker 5: the contractor's happy.
- 32:09Speaker 3: You don't have a kissed off contractor because you just
- 32:11Speaker 3: threw him under the bus to the home roller.
- 32:13Speaker 2: Because and that that's another thing that happens so often
- 32:16Speaker 2: is a customer.
- 32:17Speaker 3: You're like, hey, that is a manufacturer's this issue.
- 32:21Speaker 4: The phone ring, and it happens every Friday.
- 32:23Speaker 2: But this is this is but this happens a lot.
- 32:25Speaker 2: He's absolutely right, this happens a lot.
- 32:27Speaker 3: You you put a you put a door in or
- 32:30Speaker 3: a window in, and they don't want to they don't
- 32:32Speaker 3: really want to pay attention to it. They don't want
- 32:33Speaker 3: to know what the problem is. And they walk up.
- 32:35Speaker 3: They take two seconds, they go, well, he just installed
- 32:37Speaker 3: it wrong. Throws the contractor under the bus, and then
- 32:40Speaker 3: the homeowner calls you, screaming at you because nobody's. Some
- 32:44Speaker 3: salesman that's never worked on a window just called.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Up and just told him that. Well, the salesman said, well,
- 32:50Speaker 2: how many windows does a salesman ever put in? Yeah?
- 32:52Speaker 3: None, here's the manufacturer's installation process. Tell me where I
- 32:56Speaker 3: installed it wrong? If I absolutely, But so a lot
- 33:00Speaker 3: of times other companies will use that just to throw,
- 33:04Speaker 3: just to be like, no, it's not our product.
- 33:05Speaker 2: Just you know, there's certain there's certain there's certain.
- 33:08Speaker 5: Steps to everything right, whether you're installing roofing or a
- 33:12Speaker 5: window or whatever. You know, you gotta put the nail
- 33:15Speaker 5: through the line, right, yep. And if you don't, let's
- 33:18Speaker 5: just say that you don't do it by the manufacturers,
- 33:20Speaker 5: they blow off. Then they have a way out.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Yep. So read the instructions.
- 33:26Speaker 1: Did he wait?
- 33:27Speaker 2: Is this on? It's on?
- 33:28Speaker 5: Read the instructions they tell you how to do it.
- 33:32Speaker 5: If all the instructions, then you you you know.
- 33:36Speaker 2: And you've got to really tell the old school guys.
- 33:37Speaker 3: Because the old guys guys they're like noah, yeah, they
- 33:43Speaker 3: don't believe in evolution. They don't believe that things have
- 33:46Speaker 3: changed since nineteen forty four.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Never had to do that.
- 33:49Speaker 5: You're not gonna shim this window, well, yeah, exactly, shim
- 33:54Speaker 5: the window.
- 33:55Speaker 3: Just put metal on the first three feet. You don't
- 33:57Speaker 3: need an insulation. The metal will take care of that ice. No, no, no,
- 34:02Speaker 3: sure does it?
- 34:02Speaker 2: Scotty?
- 34:03Speaker 4: I uh, hope we got Ed Collins tuned in this
- 34:06Speaker 4: morning patio character.
- 34:09Speaker 2: God. Uh gotta start screening guests. JD.
- 34:18Speaker 4: You want to fight that guy, Scotty. I have been.
- 34:23Speaker 4: It was in radio a long long time ago, and
- 34:26Speaker 4: way back like w D e V days. I would
- 34:29Speaker 4: always get the Alan Lumber spot which was on reel
- 34:34Speaker 4: to reel and I'd have to dub it in to
- 34:38Speaker 4: the computer system to play. Bottom line is, for over
- 34:44Speaker 4: thirty years I've been listening to the Allan Lumber commercials
- 34:48Speaker 4: and the Scotty Wilson whistle, which I've been trying all
- 34:54Speaker 4: of these decades to to copy.
- 34:56Speaker 2: That's patented.
- 34:58Speaker 4: I understand it's patented, but here here it is. You're ready, No,
- 35:04Speaker 4: come on? So every Friday morning, right this morning. I
- 35:08Speaker 4: gotta do it live. Yes, you know, And what are
- 35:11Speaker 4: we talking about?
- 35:12Speaker 2: I've never did the Scottie Wilson.
- 35:14Speaker 3: What is Scottie Wilson will? How do I not know about?
- 35:19Speaker 6: What?
- 35:21Speaker 2: I don't know? So you know, I've been doing advertising.
- 35:23Speaker 1: On w d e V since the Turn.
- 35:26Speaker 2: I've never listened to w Yeah.
- 35:28Speaker 1: No, I'm a regular.
- 35:29Speaker 2: I'm not. I'm not well.
- 35:31Speaker 5: You probably don't get up that early. I'm yeah, you're
- 35:33Speaker 5: probably not up that early. It's six thirty in the
- 35:35Speaker 5: morning on Fridays.
- 35:38Speaker 2: Definitely, no. And I have a patted whistle. Now.
- 35:43Speaker 5: So Bernie Allen came up with this idea of I
- 35:47Speaker 5: want to sound, you know, so even if people aren't
- 35:49Speaker 5: paying attention, they hear that sound, they know. And we
- 35:54Speaker 5: were trying to come up how about a hammer and
- 35:56Speaker 5: how about a circular.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Saw or whatever?
- 35:58Speaker 2: And then I got a big window order and I
- 36:00Speaker 2: went no way, yeah, and.
- 36:06Speaker 5: It stuck and he's like, that's it and I'm like,
- 36:08Speaker 5: what do you mean? Yeah, that's still un And so
- 36:12Speaker 5: now I'm known as Whistling Wilson's Whistling Wilson.
- 36:18Speaker 2: I'm just known as an asshole.
- 36:20Speaker 4: There is some truth to that.
- 36:24Speaker 2: That's incredible.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Well that's the story.
- 36:27Speaker 4: I've always wondered about that. Seriously. Now, if you do
- 36:32Speaker 4: that somewhere on the property, yeah, put that in there.
- 36:36Speaker 4: If you do that on the property, is does do
- 36:41Speaker 4: they know where you are?
- 36:42Speaker 2: Is that like ringing the bell in the bar and
- 36:44Speaker 2: everybody gets a free drink? Its Scotty Wilson wist.
- 36:50Speaker 5: No, it's just you know, it's funny though. People come
- 36:53Speaker 5: in and say, is Wilson Wilson here?
- 36:57Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, Yeah, I'm pretty okay.
- 37:01Speaker 3: Josh Howard is asking about He's like, he knows, it's
- 37:05Speaker 3: not our expertise, but how would you fill the potholes?
- 37:07Speaker 2: All right? So Barry, he's how would you fill the
- 37:10Speaker 2: potholes with bodies? This with bodies?
- 37:13Speaker 3: I don't Know's the only way that you can do that.
- 37:17Speaker 3: I used to work for the city. The only way
- 37:18Speaker 3: that you can do that is with cold patch during
- 37:21Speaker 3: this time of the year.
- 37:24Speaker 2: Yeah, it comes, it's it's heated up, but it's it's
- 37:26Speaker 2: really not that great falls out there. What about spray phone?
- 37:33Speaker 2: Spray phone, I don't know.
- 37:36Speaker 4: Spry phone will stick to your skin for hundreds of year,
- 37:40Speaker 4: so you probably still have some.
- 37:41Speaker 3: I remember the first time it came out, a guy
- 37:43Speaker 3: came in with it on both hands.
- 37:45Speaker 1: He's like, how do I get this off?
- 37:46Speaker 2: You don't didn't read. I had that guy working for me.
- 37:50Speaker 3: Ink he's the one that stabbed them two kids down here,
- 37:53Speaker 3: but he worked for me before that.
- 37:55Speaker 2: But anyway, I used to have a picture. He was
- 37:57Speaker 2: such an idiot. He'd run his mouth and I just ream.
- 38:00Speaker 3: Remember we picked him up one day and stuffed him
- 38:02Speaker 3: upside down in a trash can.
- 38:04Speaker 2: He was so upset, and because he was supposed to
- 38:06Speaker 2: be a big tough guy. Oh that's nice, right. He
- 38:10Speaker 2: was playing with the he was playing with the spray
- 38:12Speaker 2: foemen and it exploded and he had a beard and
- 38:15Speaker 2: it was all over his face, his eyebrows and his beard.
- 38:19Speaker 2: He's like, oh no, we made him shave his eyebrows,
- 38:23Speaker 2: his beard, everything.
- 38:24Speaker 5: There was nowhere around read the instructions, wear gloves.
- 38:31Speaker 2: I just don't understand.
- 38:32Speaker 3: I've been out to Colorado washing his state in our
- 38:34Speaker 3: roads are the word even New York. Like I ride
- 38:38Speaker 3: yesterday it was sixty degrees and today it's not.
- 38:40Speaker 4: Well, that's it got extreme.
- 38:43Speaker 2: You don't think Maine, Canada Michigan.
- 38:48Speaker 3: They don't have like the same extreme weathers. I listen Alaska.
- 38:52Speaker 3: I would love to say something seeing it. Last I
- 38:56Speaker 3: checked it was my podcast, but it is.
- 38:59Speaker 2: Here's the It's Friday.
- 39:01Speaker 4: I bitch about the potholes, but I don't connect it
- 39:06Speaker 4: on a personal level to any I don't point the
- 39:10Speaker 4: finger at it any like someone's not doing their job.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Or yeah, we need to blame someone. Well, come on,
- 39:16Speaker 2: it's twenty twenty five.
- 39:18Speaker 4: It's a Democrats fault because listen, man, these city employees
- 39:22Speaker 4: are busting there.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Especially during the winter.
- 39:24Speaker 7: Man.
- 39:25Speaker 3: So what a lot of people don't understand a lot
- 39:27Speaker 3: of people don't understand this is they're like they'll see
- 39:30Speaker 3: a city city worker sitting around, there's.
- 39:32Speaker 2: Like ten of them doing a plothole or something like that.
- 39:34Speaker 3: Yes, it's a whole. It's not a great view. But
- 39:38Speaker 3: believe it or not, it's cheaper to have those guys
- 39:40Speaker 3: there because you can pay them an hourly wage, but
- 39:43Speaker 3: they still have to get their forty hours in. You
- 39:45Speaker 3: can pay a subcontractor to come in and do that,
- 39:47Speaker 3: and you can give them one hundred dollars an hour,
- 39:50Speaker 3: but it's still going to equal out to what you're
- 39:51Speaker 3: paying these guys in a in a week.
- 39:54Speaker 2: It's probably more.
- 39:56Speaker 1: So.
- 39:57Speaker 2: They have to find things busy work when they don't
- 39:59Speaker 2: have work to do.
- 40:00Speaker 4: Most of Vermont is built on ledge. Was the excuse
- 40:03Speaker 4: that I was given, says Patty Todd. Anderson says, our
- 40:07Speaker 4: roads are what they are from years of neglect. You know,
- 40:12Speaker 4: here's the thing, man, you got, the plowing, you got,
- 40:15Speaker 4: the salting, you got like you like you said, Scotty,
- 40:18Speaker 4: the changes in temperature. These are just some of the
- 40:20Speaker 4: reasons why the potholes are so bad.
- 40:24Speaker 2: I'm definitely not an expert. I have no clue.
- 40:26Speaker 3: I would go to a state that's similar to ours,
- 40:28Speaker 3: that has great roads and not ask them.
- 40:30Speaker 2: How they did it. I don't know, man. I listen, when.
- 40:33Speaker 3: I want to get better at something, go to the experts,
- 40:35Speaker 3: go to the guys.
- 40:36Speaker 8: That are they just I know they know what about hovercraft,
- 40:44Speaker 8: picking outside the box, drones.
- 40:46Speaker 2: Absolutely, we should be flying Jones. I don't know why
- 40:49Speaker 2: we're not.
- 40:49Speaker 3: George Jetson atay, Hey.
- 40:54Speaker 2: What do you guys got for sales going on? For
- 40:56Speaker 2: the spring? See?
- 40:58Speaker 4: Look did you see how he shifted clutch down?
- 41:01Speaker 2: I brought some samples recks perfect. Let me move my
- 41:04Speaker 2: swear garon. I'll keep it down, all right.
- 41:06Speaker 4: When I see this, when I see that this is
- 41:08Speaker 4: the trecks stuff, I see this, and I'm thinking, right off,
- 41:12Speaker 4: I can't afford that.
- 41:14Speaker 2: I can't afford that. You're probably right, you're.
- 41:20Speaker 1: Number one there.
- 41:24Speaker 3: So the biggest mistake people make with these things right
- 41:27Speaker 3: here is they think they're gonna frame it out like
- 41:31Speaker 3: a regular deck. And once again, this is where the
- 41:35Speaker 3: directions come in. Are very very because people will frame
- 41:39Speaker 3: it like a regular three.
- 41:41Speaker 2: Quarter inch board or a five quarter board, but in.
- 41:44Speaker 3: Actuality there's supposed to be twelve inches on center because
- 41:46Speaker 3: it's a composite board, and they'll warp and they'll move
- 41:48Speaker 3: and everything else. And then they call you up and
- 41:50Speaker 3: they're like, who what is this happening? Because you didn't
- 41:52Speaker 3: frame it twelve inches on center?
- 41:54Speaker 2: He's right, Scotty. It depends on the board, right.
- 41:57Speaker 1: Different boards.
- 41:58Speaker 2: Some of them, if you look, are engineered structure, right,
- 42:01Speaker 2: some of.
- 42:02Speaker 1: Them are structural.
- 42:02Speaker 5: And then I don't know if you can see, but
- 42:04Speaker 5: some of them got holes in the back, see it there?
- 42:06Speaker 4: Just bit yeah right there? Perfect?
- 42:09Speaker 5: So these are less expensive, okay, right, we save some
- 42:13Speaker 5: money by not putting as much material in there.
- 42:15Speaker 2: But do you really save money? Well, you got a frame,
- 42:18Speaker 2: now you gotta frame it is less expensive.
- 42:22Speaker 5: So here's the question, Right, you're gonna put pressure treated down, right,
- 42:27Speaker 5: You're you're paying Rex to install your deck and you're
- 42:31Speaker 5: gonna put pressure treated down, and then you're gonna have
- 42:33Speaker 5: to stain it every year after that and pay Recks
- 42:36Speaker 5: to stain it. Now, after however long the longevity of
- 42:41Speaker 5: that pressure treated runs out, and you gotta pay res
- 42:44Speaker 5: again to put it on, or you could have paid
- 42:47Speaker 5: bought a little bit more expensive product, have Rex put
- 42:50Speaker 5: it down once and then every summer you get to
- 42:54Speaker 5: sit on the deck instead of staining.
- 42:55Speaker 4: It, instead of Rex coming back with me being subjected
- 42:59Speaker 4: to looking at us plumber's crack every time.
- 43:01Speaker 2: Everything to that is how old are you? How long
- 43:06Speaker 2: are you gonna live? How long?
- 43:07Speaker 1: Pressure treated?
- 43:08Speaker 7: Would?
- 43:08Speaker 2: These days? Last a long time?
- 43:10Speaker 3: And if I do my job properly underneath with gravel
- 43:13Speaker 3: and don't let mud and everything hit the bottom of that,
- 43:16Speaker 3: it'll make it last even longer. Because I'm going to
- 43:17Speaker 3: build you a professional deck. Whether it's whether it's pressure
- 43:21Speaker 3: treated or not, We're going to do it the right way.
- 43:23Speaker 3: So he's absolutely one percent. If you're young, I do this.
- 43:28Speaker 5: You're young, and you're gonna this is the first deck
- 43:30Speaker 5: and you want it to last forever.
- 43:32Speaker 2: Do it all in tracks same thing.
- 43:34Speaker 3: People come to me, they're like, what a standing scene
- 43:38Speaker 3: roof versus a asphalt roof. Well, if you're seventy five
- 43:41Speaker 3: years old, what the hell do you need one hundred year?
- 43:43Speaker 1: Why are you going to.
- 43:44Speaker 3: Spend all of your retirement, all your money on double
- 43:47Speaker 3: the cost of a roof when you could put one
- 43:49Speaker 3: hundred year limited lifetime Dynasty single on there.
- 43:52Speaker 2: And it's gonna outlive you. So you have to find.
- 43:55Speaker 3: Out what the purpose is for people in order to
- 43:57Speaker 3: get within their budget. You have to understand your before
- 44:00Speaker 3: you ever sell anything.
- 44:02Speaker 5: Here's my thing that I've always I love that, yeah,
- 44:04Speaker 5: but that I've always said is that if you are
- 44:06Speaker 5: going to pay a contractor or someone a professional to
- 44:11Speaker 5: install your product, why would you cheap out on the product?
- 44:15Speaker 1: Right right?
- 44:16Speaker 2: If you're doing it yourself, Yeah, then get the cheapest thing.
- 44:19Speaker 1: If you're looking to do cheap, but yeah, you're gonna
- 44:23Speaker 1: do it.
- 44:23Speaker 5: You're gonna pay a professional, get a quality product so
- 44:26Speaker 5: it lasts a long time and you don't have any
- 44:28Speaker 5: problems with it.
- 44:29Speaker 2: There's always someone cheaper, there's always something cheaper.
- 44:33Speaker 4: Question here, Yeah, and Linda's saying, composite is the way
- 44:38Speaker 4: to go. Our deck is ten years old and only
- 44:41Speaker 4: maintenance is pressure washing once a year.
- 44:43Speaker 5: All careful on the pressure washing. Let's talk about the
- 44:45Speaker 5: pressure washing, just at least on the tres products. Right,
- 44:49Speaker 5: These these are composite products. So the insides made up
- 44:53Speaker 5: of the old palettes and plastic jugs that they've made
- 44:58Speaker 5: recyd to this here and recycled material. And if you
- 45:01Speaker 5: hit the pressure washer too high pressure guilt, you lift
- 45:05Speaker 5: those little hairs up of the wood and now they're
- 45:08Speaker 5: catching more dirt.
- 45:10Speaker 2: And then you put a little dirt, a little water,
- 45:12Speaker 2: and then we're growing stuff. So low pressure, just use
- 45:15Speaker 2: your hose and a little brush.
- 45:17Speaker 4: Interesting never knew that, but I will. I'm absolutely just
- 45:21Speaker 4: so I have to ask you.
- 45:23Speaker 2: And and I know that.
- 45:26Speaker 4: Mister Miles is probably gonna sweat a little bit and okay,
- 45:28Speaker 4: and I know you'll be careful with with with your
- 45:31Speaker 4: Rex will not be careful at all.
- 45:34Speaker 2: But what do you what do you.
- 45:37Speaker 4: What's your what's your feeling now about the tariffs with Canada, because.
- 45:45Speaker 3: Everybody wants to know what's gonna happen with building prices.
- 45:48Speaker 3: That's why you're really here, man, we're here.
- 45:50Speaker 2: That's why you're really here now said, but a lot.
- 45:52Speaker 3: Of people are really worried, as you know, because I've
- 45:54Speaker 3: been talking to you. I've already bought a couple of
- 45:57Speaker 3: roofs from him that we're not actually doing till summer,
- 46:00Speaker 3: but we are getting the materials and getting them now
- 46:02Speaker 3: because we don't know.
- 46:04Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 46:05Speaker 1: Right, nobody knows right.
- 46:06Speaker 5: And that's that's the scary part, right, is that we
- 46:09Speaker 5: don't know. You know, he put up a tariff, you'll
- 46:13Speaker 5: take it down.
- 46:15Speaker 4: It's under pause right now until April second. Why don't
- 46:19Speaker 4: we just make it April first, April full stay?
- 46:23Speaker 5: You know, it's a it's a tool that he's using
- 46:25Speaker 5: to get to get what America wants. I guess is
- 46:28Speaker 5: what is what he that's his strategy.
- 46:31Speaker 2: That's whether we agree with his strategy, that's a different story.
- 46:35Speaker 2: But that is his strategy.
- 46:36Speaker 1: He is right.
- 46:37Speaker 5: So in the building industry, we get a lot of
- 46:41Speaker 5: you know, lumber from from Canada.
- 46:44Speaker 1: At singles up northeast.
- 46:46Speaker 2: We use a lot of uh Canadian.
- 46:49Speaker 5: All of our trustes, some trustes come from from Canada.
- 46:54Speaker 3: Only gets them from Canada. They don't get them from
- 46:56Speaker 3: anywhere else. That's the only place they get them from
- 46:58Speaker 3: is Canada.
- 46:59Speaker 5: So that's going to be there, right, and it's going
- 47:00Speaker 5: to affect you know, aluminum products, you know some of
- 47:03Speaker 5: the you know the Marvin aluminum ut right, you know,
- 47:09Speaker 5: the steel and the rebar, all of this stuff is
- 47:13Speaker 5: going to affect.
- 47:14Speaker 1: It's going to affect us.
- 47:15Speaker 5: So you know, we are only holding our quotes now
- 47:19Speaker 5: for you know, very short time because it could, right
- 47:23Speaker 5: and we don't want people to get in trouble. But
- 47:25Speaker 5: we are doing a lot of estimating right now. People
- 47:27Speaker 5: are coming in with their house plans and and we
- 47:29Speaker 5: do you know, takeoffs for those as a free service
- 47:33Speaker 5: at RK miles. Okay, so you bring in a set
- 47:35Speaker 5: of plans, we'll say, okay, it's gonna cost right around
- 47:38Speaker 5: here for the building materials. But you know, we can't
- 47:42Speaker 5: hold that quote very long because it's.
- 47:45Speaker 2: Changing every day. It's the market is yeah, and we
- 47:48Speaker 2: follow the market. So it's it's it's hard to tell
- 47:54Speaker 2: what's gonna happen in the future.
- 47:55Speaker 3: And if I could, I probably wouldn't be working here
- 47:58Speaker 3: because I would have boughten right right stock.
- 48:00Speaker 2: Back in the day.
- 48:01Speaker 4: Yeah, do you think the lumber yards are all pretty
- 48:07Speaker 4: much on par for they're all right around the same price,
- 48:11Speaker 4: the same price.
- 48:12Speaker 1: Ye?
- 48:12Speaker 3: Absolutely not, absolutely not. I'll tell you he's saying, absolutely not.
- 48:19Speaker 3: You could go from Alba Sean to RK. You could
- 48:23Speaker 3: go to pooling and you're gonna help find so I
- 48:25Speaker 3: know for a fact, pulling lumber.
- 48:27Speaker 2: They would call.
- 48:27Speaker 3: Down and ask pricing, pretending to be a customer, and
- 48:30Speaker 3: they would ask pricing right before their sales meeting so
- 48:33Speaker 3: that they could go in and adjust to make sure
- 48:34Speaker 3: that they weren't higher than you guys and stuff.
- 48:37Speaker 2: So, no, you it really depends.
- 48:39Speaker 3: And the way that they try to sell it is
- 48:42Speaker 3: they'll say, well, yes, we are more expensive, that's because
- 48:45Speaker 3: our product is better.
- 48:49Speaker 5: Well, and that can be right, Listen, I do competitive
- 48:53Speaker 5: estimation all the time, right. Somebody says, you know, hey, hey,
- 48:57Speaker 5: I can you know buy this here?
- 48:58Speaker 1: And what can you do?
- 49:00Speaker 2: So I usually just go I don't call the competition.
- 49:04Speaker 5: I do what we have and I give you the
- 49:06Speaker 5: best foot forward, and and our prices are super sharp
- 49:09Speaker 5: I got to admit, you know, we're pretty big corporation
- 49:12Speaker 5: right now. We've got great buying power. So yeah, our
- 49:15Speaker 5: prices are very sharp. I hear it a lot that
- 49:18Speaker 5: even compared to some of the big boxes. We beat
- 49:20Speaker 5: the big boxes too. So it depends on the product,
- 49:23Speaker 5: you know, because you can you can buy cheaper, cheaper quality, right,
- 49:29Speaker 5: or less expensive.
- 49:30Speaker 1: Right. You gotta write be careful there.
- 49:33Speaker 2: Right.
- 49:33Speaker 3: You can go buy a John Deere tractor at home Depot,
- 49:36Speaker 3: or you can go to John Deere and buy John
- 49:38Speaker 3: Deere because one of them is gonna come with a
- 49:40Speaker 3: whole service plan and service and people that stand behind
- 49:43Speaker 3: the product, and one doesn't different.
- 49:46Speaker 2: A lot of difference that you can't tell looking at it.
- 49:48Speaker 2: They both green.
- 49:49Speaker 1: Yeah, the same with you know, power tools that we
- 49:52Speaker 1: deal with.
- 49:52Speaker 3: The vinyl windows, per every vinyl window looking from the
- 49:56Speaker 3: outside looks exactly the same. The two hundred dollars window
- 50:01Speaker 3: from home Depot looks just like his five hundred dollars window.
- 50:03Speaker 3: And you'll never know the difference if you're a homeowner,
- 50:06Speaker 3: as a builder, as an installer, I absolutely know the difference.
- 50:11Speaker 5: Wow, we sell a bunch of different brands because not
- 50:15Speaker 5: everybody's budget is the same, right, so you know, not
- 50:18Speaker 5: everybody can afford champagne.
- 50:20Speaker 1: Somebody's got to get some wine.
- 50:22Speaker 5: So we've we've got different levels of different things, be
- 50:25Speaker 5: it cabinetry or windows. Right, we're talking windows, you know,
- 50:30Speaker 5: so we have different ranges. You come in, you say, hey,
- 50:33Speaker 5: I've got this amount of money. I want to see
- 50:35Speaker 5: what you got available, and then i'll give you a
- 50:36Speaker 5: price on this window, this window, and this window. I'll
- 50:39Speaker 5: show them to you. Have you opened them and close them,
- 50:41Speaker 5: tilt them in, do whatever you want, look at the
- 50:44Speaker 5: you know, energy performance on them, and then make a
- 50:47Speaker 5: good educated by Wow.
- 50:49Speaker 2: Yeah, weren't you.
- 50:50Speaker 3: The one that screwed me on all them windows. You
- 50:52Speaker 3: went up there and fixed that lady's windows, and then
- 50:54Speaker 3: I lost the job on doing all the window I
- 50:56Speaker 3: didn't know how to fix the I was like, this
- 50:58Speaker 3: window is shit, and so I sent him up there.
- 51:01Speaker 2: I was like, also, I said, I'll send a window
- 51:03Speaker 2: guy up there. That was Verify.
- 51:05Speaker 3: I'm a picture guy, right, And he went up there
- 51:07Speaker 3: and fixed their windows and I and She's like, all right,
- 51:09Speaker 3: I'd like my money back. He fixed my windows. I
- 51:11Speaker 3: was like, damn it, But I did know it was.
- 51:14Speaker 3: It was good to save the lady, like almost six
- 51:17Speaker 3: thousand dollars in windows because you were able to just.
- 51:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it was something.
- 51:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I had no clue about them things. I I
- 51:25Speaker 3: just replaced them.
- 51:26Speaker 4: Scotty, Scotty, please please don't swear. Your mom is watching Venice, Florida.
- 51:33Speaker 1: God, that's awesome.
- 51:34Speaker 2: Huh. How often do you run down there?
- 51:37Speaker 1: Do you know?
- 51:41Speaker 5: So back to Trump, No, my mom wants me, my mom,
- 51:45Speaker 5: my mom wants me to go down there all the time.
- 51:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I had to send Brenda. Brenda's going down in April.
- 51:50Speaker 3: Million laws keep asking have you.
- 51:52Speaker 2: Been invited to the party at his house? When Brenda goes, yeah,
- 51:57Speaker 2: matthen hookers. You gotta get tickets. You gotta get tickets.
- 52:01Speaker 2: That's the first thing.
- 52:02Speaker 3: So Brenda's taking Big Kenny's Big Kenny's wife is going
- 52:07Speaker 3: with my wife. They're going down to Saint Petersburg to
- 52:09Speaker 3: stay at our house. And so they go down there,
- 52:11Speaker 3: and first thing Kenny calls up. He's like, bro, they're
- 52:15Speaker 3: leaving April, sucond, where are we getting the math? Where
- 52:17Speaker 3: are we getting the hookers?
- 52:19Speaker 2: I was like, Kenny, you're like seventy years old and
- 52:22Speaker 2: on your way out. I'm not. I mean, that's a
- 52:24Speaker 2: great way to go out, but I'm getting ready to
- 52:27Speaker 2: do that, poor Scotty.
- 52:30Speaker 4: For windows, are triple pain windows worth the cost over
- 52:33Speaker 4: double pain?
- 52:34Speaker 2: Absolutely?
- 52:36Speaker 3: I believe they are in our winter because especially with
- 52:38Speaker 3: the cost of fuel.
- 52:39Speaker 5: What do you say, Scotty, I say, there's three things
- 52:43Speaker 5: you need to worry about when thinking about insulating.
- 52:47Speaker 2: The ABC's of insulating.
- 52:49Speaker 5: Oh A, your attic, b your basement, and then C
- 52:56Speaker 5: is everything in the center. So once you've looked at
- 52:59Speaker 5: how much you've got, once you in your attic, once
- 53:02Speaker 5: you've learn about insulation in your basement, then you look
- 53:05Speaker 5: at the windows.
- 53:06Speaker 2: That's the last thing you want to look at.
- 53:08Speaker 5: People come to me and say, hey, Scott, I got windows.
- 53:11Speaker 5: They're double pain, they're twenty years old. I want to
- 53:14Speaker 5: put triple pain in because I'm gonna save so much
- 53:16Speaker 5: heat costs.
- 53:18Speaker 2: That's kind of like JD. Greeny has a really cold
- 53:21Speaker 2: gable end.
- 53:21Speaker 3: He's like, we should change the window inside there. I
- 53:23Speaker 3: was like, you should take the sheet rock off and
- 53:25Speaker 3: put insulation in the.
- 53:26Speaker 2: Wall right right.
- 53:28Speaker 5: Your money is better well spent up in the attic
- 53:31Speaker 5: than thinking that changing your window is going to save
- 53:33Speaker 5: you heating cog.
- 53:35Speaker 2: Now, let's just say you are building a new home
- 53:38Speaker 2: and you.
- 53:39Speaker 5: Are planning on all this energy just having right super
- 53:43Speaker 5: windows and then cruddy, sorry mom, cruddy insulation in the
- 53:49Speaker 5: walls and in the attic. It's it's it doesn't make
- 53:52Speaker 5: sense right, So look at all of the component the
- 53:56Speaker 5: whole envelope.
- 53:58Speaker 2: Just changing out your windows from double pain to try pain.
- 54:01Speaker 5: Thinking you're gonna save a bunch of money, You're gonna
- 54:02Speaker 5: spend a bunch of money more to get the try pain.
- 54:05Speaker 1: And I don't know again, how old are.
- 54:07Speaker 3: You if you're going to get your money back in
- 54:12Speaker 3: energy savings over? You know the amount it's gonna take
- 54:15Speaker 3: you fifty years to get your energy SAE things?
- 54:17Speaker 2: Is it worth? What are you gonna get?
- 54:18Speaker 4: Over to Brombert's house, he's saying that he's got windows
- 54:20Speaker 4: that are leaking like a seef and he put him
- 54:23Speaker 4: in twenty seventeen. I have to put you in a.
- 54:26Speaker 2: Arm Why why are your windows failing from two thousand
- 54:29Speaker 2: and seven?
- 54:29Speaker 1: You shouldn't be me that.
- 54:32Speaker 2: Who did he? Who did he buy the windows from
- 54:34Speaker 2: a window? I don't know.
- 54:36Speaker 4: We'll find out, all right.
- 54:38Speaker 3: We absolutely need to find that out because that's not Yeah,
- 54:41Speaker 3: so they're speaking.
- 54:42Speaker 2: What do you mean by their leaking? Are they closed
- 54:44Speaker 2: and locked? Probably? Probably?
- 54:48Speaker 1: You know, it's amazing.
- 54:48Speaker 2: I go to people's house and they're like, jees, I
- 54:50Speaker 2: feel air coming in here.
- 54:51Speaker 1: And I go over and I'm like, I locked the window.
- 54:55Speaker 1: And that's the other thing. So another thing.
- 54:57Speaker 3: People they love to have double hung windows because especially
- 55:01Speaker 3: for a second story, they loved to bullet it. But
- 55:03Speaker 3: a double hung window is less energy efficient than a
- 55:06Speaker 3: single hung welded window.
- 55:08Speaker 2: Correct.
- 55:08Speaker 5: You know when you think about operating right, you've got
- 55:11Speaker 5: just one panel that slides instead of both.
- 55:14Speaker 2: Yep. So you know the tightest window is a picture window.
- 55:17Speaker 2: That is absolutely right. Right, Wow, But we like air
- 55:22Speaker 2: learn so much?
- 55:23Speaker 3: Yeah, right, So, And that's the thing is, just don't
- 55:26Speaker 3: blindly believe people talk to somebody. Scotty's obviously knowledgeable, been
- 55:30Speaker 3: in the business for thirty seven years.
- 55:32Speaker 2: Don't let somebody bullshit you.
- 55:34Speaker 5: And I'm just calling and ask I'm an honest guy,
- 55:36Speaker 5: right too, right, people, two honest people, well too honest? Right,
- 55:40Speaker 5: people bring bring me into their homes, right and I
- 55:43Speaker 5: and I take my shoes off when I get to
- 55:45Speaker 5: your house.
- 55:46Speaker 2: I respect your home. I tell you the truth. Right.
- 55:50Speaker 2: If you're gonna.
- 55:51Speaker 5: Come in and say, Scott, do I need new windows,
- 55:54Speaker 5: I'm a window, says guy.
- 55:55Speaker 2: Yeah right, yep. And when I say no, that's that's amazing.
- 56:00Speaker 2: It's because I know that when you do, you'll come
- 56:02Speaker 2: back to see me. That's amazing. I love that. Absolutely.
- 56:06Speaker 2: I have to see you at Hanneford's. Yep, Patty.
- 56:10Speaker 3: The cool thing about buying local and buying you know
- 56:15Speaker 3: right right you have to face your customer.
- 56:18Speaker 4: Uh, Glenn says. The insulation around them is faulty. Patty says,
- 56:22Speaker 4: I just had a brand new house put in as
- 56:25Speaker 4: flood replacement. The blown in shit that they put in
- 56:30Speaker 4: is weird to me. Is it worth it?
- 56:33Speaker 3: I just did a brand new house, a half a
- 56:35Speaker 3: million dollar house. That is some of the best insulation
- 56:38Speaker 3: you can get when you dense pack those walls. Absolutely.
- 56:42Speaker 3: I prefer dense pack over spray foam, honestly.
- 56:45Speaker 4: But what what about when they when they start to
- 56:47Speaker 4: settle down on the gable at they don't.
- 56:48Speaker 3: That's why we do that. Okay, So what I was
- 56:50Speaker 3: talking about with you, your fool, is that stupid insulation
- 56:55Speaker 3: they used to use back in the day. Yes, and
- 56:57Speaker 3: it was not dense packed, so we do it right.
- 57:01Speaker 3: They just poured it in so it would settle settle.
- 57:03Speaker 2: Now we use big.
- 57:04Speaker 3: Blowers and we force it in there and we pack
- 57:06Speaker 3: it in. It's almost like concrete. When you pack it
- 57:09Speaker 3: in in a dense pack, there's nowhere.
- 57:11Speaker 2: For it to fall back down. Interesting. Yeah, you know
- 57:15Speaker 2: it's funny.
- 57:16Speaker 3: You've been driving around, you know, before it got warm,
- 57:19Speaker 3: and looking at people's roofs and some people have the
- 57:22Speaker 3: snowpack still on the roof.
- 57:23Speaker 2: Yeah, and then other.
- 57:24Speaker 5: People there's it's all melted and there's a forty two
- 57:26Speaker 5: inch you know, forty two foot long icicle.
- 57:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 57:29Speaker 5: Right, and those people are worried about their windows. Right,
- 57:32Speaker 5: You're all of that heating costs, all that oil, all
- 57:35Speaker 5: of that whatever you propane or whatever you you spent
- 57:37Speaker 5: your money on. That heat is escaping through your insulation
- 57:41Speaker 5: because you don't have enough. So wow, put more insulation
- 57:45Speaker 5: in your attic people.
- 57:46Speaker 2: Wow.
- 57:48Speaker 4: Man, we're getting like all kinds of questions here for you.
- 57:52Speaker 4: It's like bob By the Scottie, Damn, you got to
- 57:55Speaker 4: come back, brother.
- 57:56Speaker 2: I mean, this is this is good. This is as
- 57:58Speaker 2: I told you, I was all nervous. I told you
- 58:01Speaker 2: where's the hard hat? I brought the hard hat right,
- 58:04Speaker 2: because safety is first.
- 58:05Speaker 4: But I left it over there, especially when you're sitting
- 58:07Speaker 4: next to him, right. She's I just hope you still
- 58:12Speaker 4: have a job by the end of the day here today.
- 58:16Speaker 1: Well me too, you know. If not?
- 58:18Speaker 4: Hey, God, I mean lots of Look at look at
- 58:21Speaker 4: the comments that.
- 58:22Speaker 2: Are coming amazing.
- 58:23Speaker 1: I can't see it. Is it all bad stuff?
- 58:25Speaker 4: But no, it's just questions about you know, experien in
- 58:29Speaker 4: the attic.
- 58:29Speaker 5: And I'm sure this is you know, hugely popular, especially
- 58:34Speaker 5: around here where we need.
- 58:35Speaker 1: A bunch of insulation.
- 58:36Speaker 4: Patty's saying that she loves double hung with a wink.
- 58:39Speaker 4: What's that all up?
- 58:40Speaker 5: Uh?
- 58:41Speaker 1: That means both windows operate.
- 58:43Speaker 4: And thank you for explaining that to me. We put
- 58:47Speaker 4: a fire out from a house built in the eighteen hundreds,
- 58:50Speaker 4: found old newspaper layers deep inside the insulation. Interesting, Ashley
- 58:57Speaker 4: apparently missed the whistle that you did early. Would like
- 59:00Speaker 4: to hear it again. There it is right there.
- 59:05Speaker 1: I'm trying to copy it, Rex, I know you.
- 59:08Speaker 2: Sorry, I was trying and failing. I can't. Let's talk
- 59:14Speaker 2: about you said the fire there.
- 59:16Speaker 5: And that's another thing that we've been talking a lot
- 59:19Speaker 5: about is egress windows. Yes, right, so people don't think
- 59:23Speaker 5: of windows as a life saving thing, but they are
- 59:28Speaker 5: right you. If you need to get out of window
- 59:32Speaker 5: in case of a fire quickly, quickly, it needs to
- 59:35Speaker 5: be the right size right right. Can't be a little
- 59:38Speaker 5: window like this, well for me, well anybody, what is it?
- 59:43Speaker 2: Thirty by sixty has to be the interior? Well what
- 59:45Speaker 2: the code says.
- 59:46Speaker 5: It has to be a minimum of twenty twenty inches wide.
- 59:51Speaker 5: It has to be a minimum of twenty four inches tall,
- 59:56Speaker 5: and then those dimensions need to add up to five
- 1:00:00Speaker 5: seven square feet. So on a casement window where you
- 1:00:02Speaker 5: crank the whole window open, it's a lot easier to
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: breach that, But on double hungs you're only counting the
- 1:00:08Speaker 5: bottom half when you slide it up. So in bedrooms
- 1:00:13Speaker 5: where you're sleeping, right, you need two means of egress.
- 1:00:16Speaker 5: One is the door that you walked in and out of,
- 1:00:19Speaker 5: and the other one is a window that you can
- 1:00:21Speaker 5: get out of.
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: And it's and a lot of people say, well, Scott,
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: I can get out that window.
- 1:00:26Speaker 5: It's not really that we can get out it's more
- 1:00:28Speaker 5: of a fireman with his backpack on getting in to
- 1:00:32Speaker 5: save you. That's interesting, drag you out right. So that's
- 1:00:36Speaker 5: where they came up with this egress size. And you
- 1:00:39Speaker 5: know it's a code. So yeah, if you've got if
- 1:00:42Speaker 5: you're thinking about changing out the windows in your bedroom,
- 1:00:45Speaker 5: just remember it needs to be of a certain size
- 1:00:47Speaker 5: and we can help you with that when when you
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: come on down talk to us.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: Right, Well you need to get if you're in the
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: city of Barry, you have to get a permit and
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: they have to come out and inspected.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: Make your inspectors. They have to come.
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: Out and they have to make sure you're in an
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: egress window. Yeah.
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: You know, down in Montpelier, a lady went to the
- 1:01:03Speaker 5: big box bought a bunch of windows, and of course
- 1:01:06Speaker 5: the inspector comes in and not one of them met
- 1:01:08Speaker 5: the code, and then.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: So she couldn't return them.
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: So she got stuck with a bunch of windows that
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: they wouldn't allow her to put in.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: You know, she reached out to us and we made
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: a deal with her.
- 1:01:19Speaker 5: But but yeah, I know it was a bad thing.
- 1:01:21Speaker 5: So be careful, be careful, buyer beware.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: Yeah, wow, a lot of regulations and a lot of codes,
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: a lot of state city redundant codes. They're all put
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: in place. It's for safety, right, you know. M I'm
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: not a big seller on the whole safety thing. I've
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: just because that's okay.
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: So and the reason, and that's just my own perspective
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: is because when we went and we did the sanctioning
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: for the state, that was the same thing. It was
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: all about safety. Then when it came down through it's
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: all about money.
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: Yeah, do you need to do you really need a
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: permit to put windows in?
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: Yes, in the city of Bear, you do. Wow, Well
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: you can do it at night, but you're.
- 1:02:04Speaker 5: Gonna get busted because your neighbor's gonna see it and
- 1:02:06Speaker 5: they're like, I had to get a.
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: Permit put the window in. Oh my god, he's busting
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: in right down, rat on your neighbor.
- 1:02:16Speaker 5: Telling your neighbor. But you know, listen, before you do
- 1:02:22Speaker 5: any construction, right before you dig in the dirt, you
- 1:02:25Speaker 5: got a call to make sure there's no wires.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: Yeah, right, there's always things.
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: I don't even know all the codes I've gotten because
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: I just got I actually got a fine from john
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: Hammer for illegal plumbing. I was like I didn't do
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: any illegal plumbing. I said, we replaced the sink. I said,
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: we use the existing plumbing. And that's when he informed me.
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: He's like, well, code says, once you touched it, because
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: it was a commercial property.
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: Now everything needs to be brought up to code.
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: They needed to put some sort of thermal tank on
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: the hot water tank.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: They had to.
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: I was like, so I got a two hundred dollars
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: fund and John Hammery he says to me, He goes, well,
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: you can appeal it. I was like, John, I just
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: explained to you that I thought that this is how
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: it went and that what I did was wrong. I said,
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: what the fuck would that say to my kids if
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: I went and appealed it.
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: Why would I appeal it?
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: I was in charge you again, to appeal it.
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: I was like, I'm not, but I just don't understand
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: that I knew I was. I was in the wrong.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: Just suck it up. Sometimes hard for people to say, oops,
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: I made a mistake.
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: Yeah, apparently Glenn's contractor made a mistake. Didn't didn't get
- 1:03:30Speaker 4: a permit before putting in windows.
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: Oh well it was twenty seventeen though.
- 1:03:37Speaker 4: Okay, when did when did all this change.
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: The codes are always changing, right, Yeah.
- 1:03:46Speaker 5: There's insulation codes, there's you know, plumbing and electrical codes.
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: Of course, there's there's eighty A requirements, there's fire there's
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: a lot to know. Yes, you know, I had mistake
- 1:04:00Speaker 5: that I made where you know, we were putting in
- 1:04:03Speaker 5: a fire door into a restaurant and we had with
- 1:04:08Speaker 5: a panic hardware and we put in you know, they
- 1:04:13Speaker 5: wanted a view panel, but the view panel was up
- 1:04:16Speaker 5: too high in the door. It was a seven foot
- 1:04:18Speaker 5: tall door, and the code said that because you know,
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: if someone was in a wheelchair out in the hallway,
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: the window needs to be down within forty four inches
- 1:04:27Speaker 5: of the floor, so that way you could see them
- 1:04:30Speaker 5: and not wipe them out when you went out.
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: Gotcha.
- 1:04:32Speaker 5: So I had met I had met one code, the
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: fire code, but I did not meet the eightya code.
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: So it was wrong. So they put a ding on it.
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: They couldn't open the restaurant to change this thing.
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: So that's a good point, is why you hire a
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: general contractor exactly. So a lot of homeowners they're like, well,
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: I don't want to pay the cost of a general contractor.
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: I can hire this, I can hire my buddy the electrician.
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: I can hire my other friend and I don't have
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: to pay you to do it all.
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: Do it all.
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: And this is where so my fine that I got
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: for where the illegal plumbing that I did was very,
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: very minimal. It was a couple of hundred bucks. The homeowner,
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: he got a huge fine, had to bring in a
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: professional plumbing company that I told him we would have
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: covered all that, but he didn't. He wanted to save
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: the cost. He's like, well, I could be a general contractor.
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: I said, cool, you can be a general contractor. And
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: then he would be like, well, can you go pick
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: up materials up in home depot. I was like, no,
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: that's really on the general contractor. Make sure the materials
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: are there for my guys on Monday, because that's what
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: my that's what a general contractor does.
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: And I said hey.
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: I said, hey, my man, you wouldn't get these fines.
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: And me and John talked about it. I was like,
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: I would accept all the fines if I was a
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: general contractor. But if I was a general contractor, I
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: would have had a plumber in there because I know
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: I would have been screwing myself.
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: I want to talk about a couple of sponsors here
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: if you need any kind of support whatsoever. Assessment, brief treatment,
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: safety planning, getting you connected with additional services is key

- 1:07:24Speaker 3: Well, you know, we're kind of in hiatus COVID kind
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: of a reunion chour.
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: What's going with that? A reunion?
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: Well?
- 1:07:33Speaker 5: Yeah, the guitar yeah two Token Joker is the name
- 1:07:38Speaker 5: of the band.
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that right, local original rock and roll band.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: Been around for a couple of days.
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: Well, uh, guitar player Robert bo passed away. Oh that's right.
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: So you know it's such a good such a good guy.
- 1:07:53Speaker 5: Yeah, really good close friend of mine, but passed away.
- 1:07:56Speaker 5: And uh so we're kind of on a hiatus.
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: I gotta learn how to play the guitar.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: It's pretty hard.
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: Yeah. Wow, Well I can't help you out, man, I
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: play a saxophone.
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: Oh well, hey maybe, Well Bobby is doing some some
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: great things. He is basically offering up right now a
- 1:08:17Speaker 4: box of girl Scout cookies for every quote that he
- 1:08:20Speaker 4: gives out, no strings attached. It can be a quote,
- 1:08:23Speaker 4: by email, by phone, by text four seven nine thirty
- 1:08:27Speaker 4: three fifty three. But if you get in touch with
- 1:08:29Speaker 4: Bobby Bartlett over at State Farm, he's going to give
- 1:08:32Speaker 4: you a quote.
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: Whether it's like what kind of girl scout cookies he's
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: got them all?
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: Oh, I was just I was just over there.
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: Literally, I'm a thin mint guy.
- 1:08:41Speaker 4: He's he has copious amounts of thin mints. He's basically
- 1:08:46Speaker 4: got a room that's to the ceiling.
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: Oh I hate thin min's. Oh mate, me gags. But no,
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: I'm not a mint guy. I don't like them York
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: peppermint things. I don't like mint. Are you from Canada?
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: There's something pretty fair, very wrong.
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:09:01Speaker 4: I made homemade beef jerky, a ton of it.
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: Oh my god. So I'll tell you a funny story.
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: I bring it over to his house.
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: I don't even no, He's like, I don't like beef jerky.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: So I want to hear an I'll tell you a
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: funny bananas. I do bananas. So we want to hear
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: a funny story about Tim Brick.
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: So Tim Brick was at my house and his mom
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: made him all this homemade fucking beef jerky, right, and
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: he's mawing on it on the couch and he offered.
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: It to me.
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: I was like, no, way, I don't. I don't eat
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: beef jerky. I was like, you know how that's made right?
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: And he's like and he instantly stops eating and he's
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: like no, And I was like, you know why it's
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: so salty? I said, beef jerky is originally made with bowlsperm.
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: Dude, he spit it out. He was so disgusted and
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: it took him a while. He's like, wait a minute,
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: my mom doesn't use beef sperm.
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: To make these things.
- 1:09:57Speaker 3: He was so upset that I couldn't atement was beef
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: sperm that gave it all the salt.
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: I hope he's not.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Yeah, he's definitely listening.
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: Boy God.
- 1:10:07Speaker 4: Anyway, Uh, if you give Bobby call, he'll get you

- 1:10:31Speaker 2: Well that'd be a good morning snack for you. Didn't work. Tried.
- 1:10:35Speaker 4: I love the peanut butter.

- 1:10:58Speaker 2: like six tries to jump.
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: Out, but he did do the move. Did he have
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: some good moves?

- 1:12:42Speaker 3: We I'm hoping by next Friday we're gonna announce some huge,
- 1:12:45Speaker 3: huge news. So I'll just give you I'll just tell
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: you what we have for a plan going on, because
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: we just hooked up with an investment company that wants.
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: To invest into Donnybrook.
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: They're looking to invest seventy five to one hundred thousand
- 1:12:58Speaker 3: dollars into our Donnie Brook. If that happens today when
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: we finalize. We've been working with them for a couple
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: of weeks. But if that happens today, then what we
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: are actively looking for is a former UFC fighter to
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: fight our champion John Pena and bring a UFC fighter

- 1:13:30Speaker 2: Plus our paper who So we've been talking to him.
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: I mean, they want to do it.
- 1:13:34Speaker 3: It's just if we agree to what they want for
- 1:13:36Speaker 3: terms and stuff. But we're definitely going to expand our
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: digital platform. We have one of the biggest fights in
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: New England for this fight. We have that number one
- 1:13:45Speaker 3: rank guy that's going to fight for the professional middleweight
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: title and that's going to be against the local undefeated
- 1:13:51Speaker 3: professional fighter, Chris.
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: You know, I've been to more than one of those.
- 1:13:55Speaker 4: Oh yeah, and I do want to.

- 1:14:01Speaker 3: He gets he has a VIP table games usually walking
- 1:14:03Speaker 3: around throwing out tea shirts for the source out there.
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: He's a. He's always at our show.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: But I just wanted to give you a compliment.
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: You know, I've I've been to many of your shows
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: and every time I go it gets better. The you know,
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: the sound last time was really good.
- 1:14:22Speaker 5: The fighters are getting more and more, you know, big
- 1:14:26Speaker 5: boys coming, and you put on a really great show
- 1:14:29Speaker 5: for you know, little old Barry from one. It's a
- 1:14:31Speaker 5: pretty professional fight show. So yeah, if it's something that
- 1:14:35Speaker 5: you haven't gone to see, I I strongly suggest that
- 1:14:37Speaker 5: you do it because it's definitely a.
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: Good time to be had.
- 1:14:40Speaker 3: All the officials now that we use are all UFC judges,
- 1:14:43Speaker 3: UFC refs. Kevin McDonald's one of our very professional though
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: from the introductions, you know, the whole way you.
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: Just see he's the MC for the New York Mets.
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: Justin Manning.
- 1:14:53Speaker 4: Amazing, Yeah, really good Jesus, good show.
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:14:59Speaker 4: Do you need an help with anything for this year's
- 1:15:01Speaker 4: Battling Berries.
- 1:15:02Speaker 3: Yeah, so we're looking to hire a staff for a
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: breakdown staff for the Sunday because now the city's having
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: us break it down on Sunday the day the day
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: after so we got everything out of there, we need
- 1:15:13Speaker 3: a clean up crew and a breakdown crew, and we
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: look to hire those people that work on Sundays to
- 1:15:17Speaker 3: help us with breaking it down. Okay, we're always looking
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: to hire a staff. It's a cat, it's a cash
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: yeah it is. But what yeah, what else? M M
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: just fans, get your tickets, Get your tickets, Get your
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: tickets dot com yep, absolutely easy to find.
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:15:38Speaker 5: I was thinking, this is the idea I had, yeah,
- 1:15:41Speaker 5: is that you should do like celebrity match.
- 1:15:45Speaker 3: So yeah, well that's what we're trying to work on
- 1:15:47Speaker 3: that Michael Poetros fighting on uh Aaron Aaron the fountain there.
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: And it's funny because I mean, JD, you've definitely said
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: and all these guys want to fight over politics. They
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: got into it online and then the one.
- 1:16:03Speaker 3: Guy's like, I'll beat you up, and the other guy's like, oh,
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: I'll put you in you'll turtle right up. And I'm like,
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: wait a minute, I know the one guy. I got
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: to find out who this guy is. And so I
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: look and I'm like, man, so number one, the guy
- 1:16:15Speaker 3: that you're messing with as a trained fighter, and he's
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: like two hundred and forty pounds, You're like one hundred
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: and forty and live in your basement and you want
- 1:16:22Speaker 3: to fight with the guy. Yeah, it's probably not the
- 1:16:25Speaker 3: best idea, you know, you know.
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: But if you know, but I'm saying, if if you could,
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: you know, throw that out there.
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: And John kind of like run with your you know,
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: I thought about grappling another black belt in there.
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: A lot of people on it because they wants to
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: see me lose do it. Yeah that I'm still my
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: surgery from my bicycles. I'm not blew that out.
- 1:16:47Speaker 3: Slap fighting, Yeah, oh so I actually offered a fight
- 1:16:51Speaker 3: one of the slap fighters to fight on our next
- 1:16:53Speaker 3: show as.
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: A code, right, like a little a little slap slap
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: Andrew Tobos he's he's a big would you I would
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: love to watch that? Yeah, really I slash.
- 1:17:06Speaker 4: I gave I gave Rex a good slap one time

- 1:17:33Speaker 3: Wilkins, Harley Davison is bringing up a Harley. They're gonna
- 1:17:36Speaker 3: bring a Harley up. They're gonna set up a tent

- 1:18:52Speaker 3: start advertising the bikers for Bath. Oh, that's right around
- 1:18:55Speaker 3: the corner. Travis is putting it on this year. I'm
- 1:18:59Speaker 3: urging many people to get out here. And I'll tell
- 1:19:01Speaker 3: you why. Number one, the beneficiary for it is Eddie Sanborn.
- 1:19:05Speaker 3: Eddie Sanborn has cancer right now. Eddie's been He's worked
- 1:19:10Speaker 3: throughout his entire life. It's Travis's father in law, it's
- 1:19:14Speaker 3: Samantha Payette's father, It's my cousin Eddie. So it's not
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: just cousin Eddie. The Sandborne family has been hit with cancer.
- 1:19:23Speaker 3: Like so he just lost his nephew three with Yeah,
- 1:19:27Speaker 3: we just lost Raymond. So the Sandborns have been really
- 1:19:31Speaker 3: taking it hard when it comes to cancer. So this
- 1:19:34Speaker 3: is this is really close to not just the community,
- 1:19:38Speaker 3: but it's close to me personally.
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: So I'll be there. I have it.
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: I'll be there.
- 1:19:43Speaker 3: I'll bring two motorcycles. One can take a passenger, one can't.
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: My son will probably drive whatever. I'll let him drive
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: the fast one or whatnot. So if I need to
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: give someone a ride or whatever. But when that third Sunday,
