- 0:00Speaker 1: He's always a headline ahead.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Mark Simon seven to ten.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Wo R Well Bill O'Reilly, the number one TV anchor
- 0:08Speaker 1: for a decade's number one best selling nonfiction author on Earth,
- 0:11Speaker 1: off it and reading this new book it's coming out.
- 0:13Speaker 1: It's great. He's got a new podcast called Will Do
- 0:16Speaker 1: It Live. It's excellent, one great guest after another Will
- 0:21Speaker 1: do It Live. And you can go to YouTube. You
- 0:23Speaker 1: can go to his YouTube channel, Bill O'Reilly on YouTube.
- 0:26Speaker 1: But the best thing is you go to Bill O'Reilly
- 0:28Speaker 1: dot com. You get everything there, the book, the podcast,
- 0:31Speaker 1: the YouTube channel, the TV show, the column billoreilly dot com.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Bill O'Reilly, congratulations, I love the new book.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Thank you for reading. And you know, I said it
- 0:40Speaker 2: to five people, this is absolutely true, and I said,
- 0:45Speaker 2: who knows me the best? Because it's a little bit
- 0:49Speaker 2: different confronting America? What has to change a little bit
- 0:54Speaker 2: different than killing the witches or confronting evil? Because it's
- 0:59Speaker 2: based on on my face to face encounters throughout my career.
- 1:04Speaker 2: I said, who knows me? Who could give me an
- 1:07Speaker 2: honest assessment? So Simone, your name popped up and then
- 1:10Speaker 2: you got the first of five copies that went out.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Well, tell us who are the other for? Can you
- 1:15Speaker 1: reveal it?
- 1:17Speaker 2: No, I can't really reveal it because they'd have to
- 1:20Speaker 2: leave the country. They'd be deported.
- 1:23Speaker 1: It's quite a riveting book because it's more it really,
- 1:25Speaker 1: and it takes it through your journey through war zones,
- 1:29Speaker 1: through everywhere, through Harvard through it's a fascinating look at
- 1:33Speaker 1: the news business and all of that. Was it that
- 1:36Speaker 1: must have taken longer than your usual books? It's a question.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Yeah. It was a killer for me because I couldn't
- 1:42Speaker 2: use researcher on it. It was all, as you point out,
- 1:47Speaker 2: a personal journey. But I don't think that I was
- 1:52Speaker 2: unfair to anyone. I had to keep that in mind
- 1:55Speaker 2: because we're talking about Dan rather we're talking about Mike Wallace.
- 1:59Speaker 2: We're talking about the big his names in the media
- 2:03Speaker 2: and in show business, Jack Nicholson, Clint Eastwood and the
- 2:07Speaker 2: encounters that I had with them, some good, some bad.
- 2:12Speaker 2: And so I think that people when they read it
- 2:14Speaker 2: will get a good perspective of where this country is
- 2:19Speaker 2: as far as how it's changed and it has, you know,
- 2:23Speaker 2: over the Voyd July, I was cruising around just and
- 2:27Speaker 2: I was happy with the response of the American people,
- 2:31Speaker 2: most of whom were very respectful to our nation and
- 2:35Speaker 2: our our founders, but there were some who werer't. I mean,
- 2:39Speaker 2: this Newport, California thing where the ANTIFA all got together
- 2:44Speaker 2: to loot the town. I mean, you know, that's the
- 2:46Speaker 2: kind of thing that's going to have to be confronted.
- 2:49Speaker 2: But what struck me locally was, ma'm Donnie, he really
- 2:54Speaker 2: hates America. I mean he really does. And you know,
- 2:59Speaker 2: you got the guy with the smile and he's up there,
- 3:02Speaker 2: he's jumping into fountains or whatever he's doing, but he
- 3:07Speaker 2: really despises this country. And when you listen to what
- 3:12Speaker 2: he said, I'm going to use it on the note
- 3:13Speaker 2: Spin News tonight, when you really listen, it is so
- 3:18Speaker 2: close to Maosee Toungue and what Mao believed. It's frightening.
- 3:26Speaker 2: And I know that ma'am Donnie studied Mao and Stalin
- 3:32Speaker 2: and all of these people, and along with his godfather
- 3:36Speaker 2: Bernie Sanders. I mean, these people are out for vengeance, Simone,
- 3:42Speaker 2: and I don't think they're gonna win, but boy, they're
- 3:46Speaker 2: gonna try. And to be elected mayor of the nation's
- 3:50Speaker 2: largest city is a frightening occurrence when you really understand
- 3:54Speaker 2: the guy's psychology.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Yeah, he heard him a couple of times. He used
- 3:59Speaker 1: the word decam out of housing, decommodify. That's an actual
- 4:02Speaker 1: Karl Marx word.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Yes, he is very steeped in that. And it's because
- 4:09Speaker 2: of his father. So if you trace him back as
- 4:12Speaker 2: we have, because I always want to know why people
- 4:16Speaker 2: do what they do. It's not enough for me to
- 4:18Speaker 2: know what they do. I want to know why they
- 4:21Speaker 2: do it. And if you look back at his father
- 4:25Speaker 2: as an academic, his father is the same way. Now,
- 4:31Speaker 2: why you would stay here in this country when Donnie
- 4:37Speaker 2: was born in Kenya? Okay, If it's so bad, you
- 4:42Speaker 2: can go a lot of places, you go back to Nairobi, okay.
- 4:47Speaker 2: But no, they have to come here and try to
- 4:51Speaker 2: under underpin our entire system because there are poor people
- 5:00Speaker 2: and there'll always be poor people always if you read
- 5:04Speaker 2: the Bible, and the poor will always be with us
- 5:07Speaker 2: for one reason or another. But what Mandani and his
- 5:11Speaker 2: father are selling is it's the regular folks, the cops,
- 5:17Speaker 2: the teachers, all the people. I grew up in Levittown
- 5:21Speaker 2: where the problem where the problem because we're not compassionate enough,
- 5:28Speaker 2: or we don't give enough to the folks who don't
- 5:32Speaker 2: make it, and that's communism.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Yeah, Now, nobody has more poor people. In fact, everybody's poor.
- 5:39Speaker 1: And Uganda, it's the worst place in the world. That's
- 5:42Speaker 1: where he's from. Why doesn't he ever complain about you? Ganda?
- 5:44Speaker 1: Have you ever heard him say a bad word about that?
- 5:46Speaker 2: I think he has, you know, Thanks for correcting me.
- 5:48Speaker 2: I thought it was Kenyananda. They're adjacent countries, but they're
- 5:53Speaker 2: the same. The poverty, tribalism, on and on and on
- 5:57Speaker 2: and on. I just don't get Look, I understand power,
- 6:03Speaker 2: and part of confronting America is the absolute corruption that
- 6:08Speaker 2: occurs when a human being gets power and uses it
- 6:14Speaker 2: in a way that harms other people. Nancy Pelosi is
- 6:19Speaker 2: a great example of that, tremendous. Now, you can make
- 6:22Speaker 2: an argument that Trump might be in that category. But
- 6:25Speaker 2: Trump has always had power since he's eight years old. Okay,
- 6:31Speaker 2: so there's nothing new to him. But once Belosi and
- 6:36Speaker 2: Bernie Sanders and Bernie Sanders is the worst Okay, once
- 6:41Speaker 2: they tasted that power, ain't no stopping him.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Now, Yeah, you're America's best selling historian. Has this happened
- 6:53Speaker 1: in the past? In America's history where there was a
- 6:55Speaker 1: rise in communism on the left.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Is this something, Yeah, it happened in the Great Depression
- 7:02Speaker 2: in the late nineteen twenties early nineteen thirties when people
- 7:06Speaker 2: just didn't have enough to eat, and so they were
- 7:10Speaker 2: lined up to get food and the Hooverville's and they
- 7:14Speaker 2: didn't anywhere to They couldn't rent an apartment, they couldn't
- 7:19Speaker 2: do anything. So there was a rising socialism communism movement there,
- 7:24Speaker 2: led by a man named Eugene Debs CBS, and it
- 7:29Speaker 2: didn't go anywhere because Roosevelt. President Roosevelt saw it coming
- 7:35Speaker 2: and then instituted all the entunnement programs. So all of
- 7:43Speaker 2: the social security and the safety nets came in under
- 7:47Speaker 2: Roosevelt because Roosevelt said, oh, you know, Hoover screwed it
- 7:51Speaker 2: up so bad, and we have so many people walking
- 7:54Speaker 2: around they can't make a living and they can't and
- 7:57Speaker 2: feed their families. We have to do it. And that's
- 8:00Speaker 2: what happened. That's what aborted that original communist movement. But
- 8:06Speaker 2: now it's back, and it's back because of high tech.
- 8:10Speaker 2: See all of these gazillionaires, they made their money inventing
- 8:14Speaker 2: things and it's just beginning. Because Ai, you're going to
- 8:19Speaker 2: have another set of billionaires off that and the regular
- 8:24Speaker 2: folks aren't going to be inventing what Elon Musk is inventing. Okay,
- 8:29Speaker 2: but that's capitalism. If you have a talent, if you
- 8:31Speaker 2: have something an ability that you can market a product
- 8:36Speaker 2: that three hundred and fifty people want, you're going to
- 8:39Speaker 2: be a billionaire. But under communism you get have that
- 8:43Speaker 2: same talent and the government will take away all of
- 8:47Speaker 2: the profits that you make. They'll just take it. So
- 8:52Speaker 2: you decide what kind of system you want to live under.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Yeah, before we runt of time, grand play, he's finished, right,
- 9:01Speaker 1: We're not going to see him again, are we.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Now? He's done and should be. And I don't know
- 9:08Speaker 2: about this case. I'm looking at him. I'm having my
- 9:10Speaker 2: staff look at it now because remember this is a
- 9:15Speaker 2: plague upon the land. Now. The accusation is conviction on
- 9:20Speaker 2: no due process, and that's another Communist tenant. So if
- 9:26Speaker 2: she in China says you're guilty, you're guilty. There's no
- 9:30Speaker 2: feal process. That's it. You're guilty. It doesn't like you.
- 9:34Speaker 2: You're going Now. Platiner is such a bad guy, such
- 9:39Speaker 2: a horrendous individual that I'm not even cutting him any slack,
- 9:44Speaker 2: all right for due process, I'm not, but I'd like
- 9:48Speaker 2: to know a little bit more about the incident that's
- 9:52Speaker 2: going to ruin him, because it will.
- 9:56Speaker 1: No, we're glad to be rid of him. Hey, we'reight,
- 9:58Speaker 1: but just buy out of time. The new book. Bill
- 10:00Speaker 1: O'Reilly's new book is Confronting America. Can people pre order
- 10:03Speaker 1: it now?
- 10:04Speaker 2: Yeah, you go to Bill O'Reilly dot com and you
- 10:07Speaker 2: can pre order. It'll be out September fifteenth, and you
- 10:10Speaker 2: know it's coming up fast, and I think people will
- 10:13Speaker 2: enjoy it. At least give you a conversational structure about
- 10:19Speaker 2: what I've seen. And all of this that I put
- 10:23Speaker 2: in the book is absolutely one hundred percent rock solid true.
- 10:28Speaker 2: I didn't have to analyze, I didn't have to investigate.
- 10:31Speaker 2: I didn't have to do any of that because I
- 10:33Speaker 2: was standing there as the guy pointing to M sixteen
- 10:38Speaker 2: at my head. Okay, I mean I don't any research
- 10:41Speaker 2: on that. If you pull a drigger on dead and
- 10:46Speaker 2: I said to the guy, I said, period decent noticebor a,
- 10:50Speaker 2: journalists don't shoot. Kid was maybe seventeen maybe, And this
- 10:56Speaker 2: was in the Argentine Rebellion against the Falkland defeat. So
- 11:01Speaker 2: I'm proud of the book. It's a good way. I
- 11:04Speaker 2: don't know if I'm gonna do any more books or not,
- 11:06Speaker 2: but if I don't, it's a good way to go out.
- 11:09Speaker 1: You got plenty of books, but this is quite a book.
- 11:11Speaker 1: You should get it that. There's a lot of riveting
- 11:13Speaker 1: stuff in there. It's confronting America. Bill O'Reilly's latest book
- 11:17Speaker 1: and the podcast will do it live. If you didn't
- 11:19Speaker 1: see the latest with Glenn Beck. It's quite a conversation
- 11:22Speaker 1: and you can get everything at Bill O'Reilly dot com.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Just go to Bill O'Reilly dot com, the YouTube channel
- 11:29Speaker 1: and billoreilly dot com. Bill O'Reilly, congratulations on the book.
