- 0:10Speaker 2: I am six forty bill handle.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Here.
- 0:13Speaker 1: It is a Friday morning, November the seventh. Quick reminder
- 0:19Speaker 1: that tomorrow Neil and I are broadcasting his show live
- 0:24Speaker 1: from the Wild Fork Store in Laguna Neguel, the purveyor
- 0:29Speaker 1: of some phenomenal meets, and they are going to be
- 0:31Speaker 1: supplying the meets for our thanks grilling which takes place
- 0:36Speaker 1: tomorrow afternoon, and inviting you there. They'll be samples galore,
- 0:40Speaker 1: I mean, Siria samples. Chefs will be there, Zelman's will
- 0:45Speaker 1: be there. We have some great giveaways that I was
- 0:48Speaker 1: talking to Leslie, who is the account executive running this thing,
- 0:51Speaker 1: and I'd love to see you there. Great fun and
- 0:55Speaker 1: we will take pictures and Neil has said he will
- 1:00Speaker 1: wear shorts and you will be able to see the
- 1:02Speaker 1: just very typical of his Okay, all.
- 1:07Speaker 3: Right, all right, all right, moving on little after your
- 1:10Speaker 3: handsy you know, yes experiment, Yeah, yeah, my incident with
- 1:17Speaker 3: my previous guest.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Not quite and you have to listen to the opening
- 1:22Speaker 1: of the show in order to get that one. All right,
- 1:25Speaker 1: Today starts the delays and cancellations of flights four percent
- 1:31Speaker 1: of the flights, moving up to ten percent of the delays.
- 1:35Speaker 1: And five California airports out of the forty five or
- 1:39Speaker 1: are in California Lax, San Francisco, San Diego, Ontario, Oakland
- 1:48Speaker 1: just among the airports that are targeted for cuts. And
- 1:52Speaker 1: we're looking at at this point even now, thousands of flights.
- 1:56Speaker 1: So what is going on, Well, this course has to
- 1:59Speaker 1: do with the shutdown. The government will shutdown, which is
- 2:01Speaker 1: now what day thirty eight, which is the longest shutdown
- 2:06Speaker 1: of our government in the history of the United States.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Because Congress has to vote itself the ability to keep
- 2:13Speaker 1: on doing business, and if it does not come to
- 2:17Speaker 1: a budget which has to be signed by the president
- 2:19Speaker 1: and both sides of the aisle have to agree, the
- 2:23Speaker 1: government just shuts down except for certain exemptions. Now, one
- 2:28Speaker 1: of the more fun exemptions are the air traffic controllers.
- 2:32Speaker 1: And you think you can't try flying in the United
- 2:35Speaker 1: States without an air traffic controller or any place.
- 2:38Speaker 2: They have to continue working, but they don't.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Get paid, and so they are taking side jobs and
- 2:45Speaker 1: so many of them are calling in sick. I mean,
- 2:50Speaker 1: there are thousands of air traffic controllers out there. I
- 2:53Speaker 1: think the number is fourteen thousand that work for the government,
- 2:57Speaker 1: and they have been working now without paid. Keep in mind,
- 2:59Speaker 1: the controller is considered, I think, the most stressful job
- 3:03Speaker 1: that exists in the United States or anywhere. I mean,
- 3:07Speaker 1: they have people's lives, and I mean the focus has
- 3:10Speaker 1: to be in so intense you missfocused for a moment,
- 3:14Speaker 1: and people's lives are at stake. So one of the
- 3:16Speaker 1: things they didn't have to worry about is putting food
- 3:18Speaker 1: on the table. It's reasonably well paid position. It's a
- 3:22Speaker 1: government position, a lot of benefits, and can you imagine
- 3:27Speaker 1: going to work and knowing you're not going to have
- 3:30Speaker 1: enough money to put food on the table, which is
- 3:32Speaker 1: why food banks have exploded.
- 3:35Speaker 2: And we are in a world of hurt.
- 3:37Speaker 1: And it's not that the other employees aren't affected, but
- 3:41Speaker 1: the janitors that clean up the federal buildings. Of course
- 3:45Speaker 1: they should get paid and they're not. But when a
- 3:49Speaker 1: janitor sweeps the floor, it's not three hundred people's lives
- 3:52Speaker 1: at stake at any given moment. And that's what's going on.
- 3:55Speaker 1: And we are now talking about the shutdown is to continue.
- 3:59Speaker 1: It was they were actually talking this week the Republicans
- 4:02Speaker 1: the Democrats. Democrats were talking this week about coming to
- 4:06Speaker 1: an agreement with the budget, and both sides are adamant
- 4:10Speaker 1: about their position. Won the Republicans, which is a perfectly
- 4:13Speaker 1: reasonable position. They're coming up with, Hey, let's just keep
- 4:15Speaker 1: the government going for God's sake. We'll talk about the
- 4:18Speaker 1: other issues. We just have to fund the government. And
- 4:21Speaker 1: the Democrats are saying, nope, we're not going to fund
- 4:24Speaker 1: the government until we deal with and you agree that
- 4:28Speaker 1: the expansion of Obamacare that was given to twenty somethingter
- 4:33Speaker 1: million Americans, which is sunsetting at the end of this year,
- 4:37Speaker 1: that that continues on basically forever. It's like you get
- 4:41Speaker 1: a job raise and it's only going to be for
- 4:44Speaker 1: six months. And at the end of six months they go, okay,
- 4:46Speaker 1: we're going to cut back what you don't think that way,
- 4:51Speaker 1: and certainly you take it to the level of food stamps.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Gee, I'm able to buy my kids more.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Than pasta at the end of the at the end
- 5:00Speaker 1: of the month, and all of a sudden, that's taken away,
- 5:03Speaker 1: And to the Democrats, that's a make or break. To
- 5:06Speaker 1: the Democrats, the bottom line is you don't let twenty
- 5:09Speaker 1: million people in this country not have enough food. A
- 5:13Speaker 1: country as wealthy as we are, allowing this many people
- 5:16Speaker 1: to go country to go hungry is a shanda. It
- 5:19Speaker 1: is a shame beyond a shame.
- 5:21Speaker 2: So there it is. Those are the two.
- 5:24Speaker 1: And the Republicans are getting most of the blame, not
- 5:27Speaker 1: the Democrats. And it's the Republicans that are arguing, let's
- 5:31Speaker 1: keep this government alive, let's keep it going. People have
- 5:34Speaker 1: to get paid, they have to eat, and the Democrats
- 5:36Speaker 1: are saying, nope, not until we figure out what we're
- 5:41Speaker 1: going to do with this insurance, a medical insurance, because
- 5:44Speaker 1: we are at a crossroads where people are going to
- 5:47Speaker 1: have their premiums doubled under Obamacare in certain cases.
- 5:52Speaker 2: So there it is.
- 5:53Speaker 1: It's a fundamental philosophical difference. The Trump administration feels in money,
- 6:00Speaker 1: money is better spent on enforcement of the borders, better
- 6:06Speaker 1: spent on our defense defenses internationally, our army, our Navy,
- 6:11Speaker 1: Air force, redoing the entire navy, and that is more
- 6:15Speaker 1: important to them than social programs. It's that simple. And
- 6:18Speaker 1: Democrats go the other way. And there is the rub,
- 6:21Speaker 1: there's the impasse. Is it going to be figured out?
- 6:25Speaker 1: And they're going to come to some kind of compromise.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I mean, I mean it's impossible to keep on going.
- 6:30Speaker 1: At what point does an air traffic controller simply stop
- 6:33Speaker 1: coming to work month two, month three and not get paid.
- 6:41Speaker 1: It becomes impossible, all right. There is a global summit,
- 6:47Speaker 1: the cop Global Climate Conference, which happens every year. This
- 6:50Speaker 1: one happens to be in Baileem, Brazil, which is in
- 6:53Speaker 1: the northern Prodate of Brazil, and Balim is very interesting.
- 6:56Speaker 1: I should tell you about it sometime, but I don't
- 6:58Speaker 1: have time. So say I tease this stuff, and yeah,
- 7:02Speaker 1: you're left wanting. And so guess who is going and
- 7:06Speaker 1: who is not going. Well, no surprise that President Trump
- 7:09Speaker 1: wants no part of a global climate summit. He does
- 7:13Speaker 1: not believe, number one, that there is such thing as
- 7:16Speaker 1: climate change, and he wants nothing to do if there
- 7:19Speaker 1: is dealing with it. He just doesn't believe in it.
- 7:23Speaker 1: He thinks fossil fuels are the wave of the future,
- 7:27Speaker 1: and electrification and alternative energies don't really mix as.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Far as he's concerned.
- 7:33Speaker 1: And so you got two otter nations gathering this week
- 7:36Speaker 1: in Bilim, and one of the big groups, one of
- 7:40Speaker 1: the big delegations is from California, a state delegation at
- 7:46Speaker 1: an international country move or a climate conference. And so
- 7:57Speaker 1: why is it going there? Well, there are two reasons,
- 8:00Speaker 1: one which is I think inherently good and the other
- 8:03Speaker 1: one is purely political. I believe that climate change is there.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I believe in electrification and alternative energy.
- 8:11Speaker 2: I believe that.
- 8:13Speaker 1: One of the reason my daughters and I always talk
- 8:14Speaker 1: about how difficult it's going to be for their kids,
- 8:18Speaker 1: and why one of my daughters says, I'm not going
- 8:19Speaker 1: to have kids because it's going to be just too
- 8:21Speaker 1: difficult for children to live in grow up.
- 8:24Speaker 2: In the mode in the new world. New world being.
- 8:26Speaker 1: That it's the climate change is going to affect everybody,
- 8:30Speaker 1: and so to deal with climate change, California is ahead
- 8:35Speaker 1: of the game.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Boy.
- 8:36Speaker 1: They were the first and mandating alternative energy. I think
- 8:40Speaker 1: over thirty percent of our energy here in California is
- 8:43Speaker 1: alternative already, the first and the most progressive state in
- 8:47Speaker 1: terms of evs, and.
- 8:48Speaker 2: I mean just on and on.
- 8:51Speaker 1: So California has a tremendous reputation for being the leader
- 8:56Speaker 1: not only internationally among countries, but among any governmental agencies
- 9:00Speaker 1: or governmental organizations. So Okay, that is the non political part,
- 9:05Speaker 1: which I think is I'm all for it. Now, who's
- 9:09Speaker 1: going there for the first time? Gavin Newsom. This is
- 9:14Speaker 1: his first year. He's going there and he has not
- 9:17Speaker 1: been there before. And this is the most important environmental
- 9:21Speaker 1: conference that exists on the planet. The Paris Climate Cords
- 9:25Speaker 1: came out of this organization ten years ago. And Newsom
- 9:30Speaker 1: is going for the first time. Why because he believes
- 9:35Speaker 1: the climate change.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Of course he does. Because he believes in alternative energy.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Of course he does.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Because he is ramping up his run against any trumpest
- 9:48Speaker 1: coming in in twenty twenty eight. Of course he is
- 9:52Speaker 1: one of the things about Donald Trump. He's not going
- 9:54Speaker 1: to run, but I truly believe he's going to be.
- 9:56Speaker 2: A king maker. There is no issue in my mind.
- 10:00Speaker 1: And Newsom is there to establish his credentials, his creds
- 10:05Speaker 1: not only as a leader of the environmental movement, but
- 10:08Speaker 1: what a springboard for a run for presidency. He is
- 10:13Speaker 1: doing everything he can to establish his run, even to
- 10:17Speaker 1: the point of is he putting issues of California aside?
- 10:21Speaker 1: Don't know that answer, but I know he's spending an
- 10:23Speaker 1: inordinate amount of time running for office. But he's turned out,
- 10:27Speaker 1: so he doesn't care. He's not going to run again,
- 10:30Speaker 1: and we're going to see what happens. Is there going
- 10:34Speaker 1: to be any big news coming out of the No,
- 10:36Speaker 1: the climate conference? No, you know, why was it ten
- 10:39Speaker 1: years ago under the Paris Climate Accords we were not
- 10:44Speaker 1: reduced but slow down global warming I think to one
- 10:48Speaker 1: point two percent or one point two degrees co celsius
- 10:52Speaker 1: or whatever. We're not making it. It's now, it's universally
- 10:56Speaker 1: agreed by virtually every climatologist, every scientist out there looks
- 11:00Speaker 1: at this. There's no chance we're even going to make it,
- 11:02Speaker 1: not even close, which means that climate change, global warming
- 11:07Speaker 1: is going to increase dramatically. And what you're going to
- 11:11Speaker 1: see at the cop Global Climate Climate Conference are political
- 11:19Speaker 1: statements Mia Culpas, a lot of chest banging, and some
- 11:25Speaker 1: ideas of which California will will absolutely join in the
- 11:29Speaker 1: fray the United States, though, as a matter of fact,
- 11:31Speaker 1: the president has killed virtually virtually every major alternative energy
- 11:37Speaker 1: program that exists, even those that are almost done where
- 11:43Speaker 1: ninety or ninety five percent of the money has already
- 11:46Speaker 1: been spent. Newsome had said the Trump administration has doubled
- 11:52Speaker 1: down on stupid, not only in terms of the alternative
- 11:56Speaker 1: energy programs that have been just under just actually eliminated, decimated,
- 12:03Speaker 1: but also China is moving ahead as a world later
- 12:07Speaker 1: in dealing with the climate, with global warming. All right,
- 12:10Speaker 1: coming up, Oh, we have to do some Trump stuff today.
- 12:15Speaker 1: You know, I try to stay away from it, but
- 12:17Speaker 1: I wake up in the morning. It's almost as if
- 12:19Speaker 1: Donald Trump wakes up and the first thing on his
- 12:22Speaker 1: mind is what can I do today to have handle
- 12:25Speaker 1: talk about this. Okay, maybe I'm being the little self
- 12:30Speaker 1: aggrandizing here, but it almost seems that way. It becomes
- 12:34Speaker 1: almost impossible simply because President Trump is President Trump. So
- 12:39Speaker 1: here's a new one that I kind of like. All Right,
- 12:43Speaker 1: coming into the United States, especially if you're asking for permanent,
- 12:47Speaker 1: permanent visa like a green card, you are screened, background
- 12:53Speaker 1: check is made, and a medical background check is made,
- 12:58Speaker 1: and you have to have certain vaccinations before you can
- 13:02Speaker 1: get in. You have to have distemper shots and raby
- 13:05Speaker 1: shots and parvo shots before they let you in the country.
- 13:11Speaker 1: And they test for communicable diseases diabetes, and it used
- 13:15Speaker 1: to be for syphilis. By the way, it used to
- 13:17Speaker 1: be conjuncti bitis back at the turn when they first
- 13:20Speaker 1: started testing people. Literally, there are videos you can see
- 13:24Speaker 1: of the doctors at Ellis Island that were checking people
- 13:28Speaker 1: immigrants coming in, and they had this little device where
- 13:32Speaker 1: it was almost like a little like a little hook
- 13:35Speaker 1: that they would hook on the eyelids and pull down
- 13:39Speaker 1: to see if the eyes were red. It was conjunctiveis
- 13:41Speaker 1: and that was the basis of throwing people out. It's
- 13:44Speaker 1: really interesting, just a little factoid I wanted to share
- 13:46Speaker 1: with you. So here's a new guidance issue by the
- 13:50Speaker 1: State Department and sent to embassies and consular officials around
- 13:54Speaker 1: the world, directs visa officers to make or to rule
- 14:01Speaker 1: that folks are ineligible for new reasons, including their age
- 14:08Speaker 1: or the likelihood they might rely on public benefits. I
- 14:10Speaker 1: think guys around knowing but really is a problem with that,
- 14:14Speaker 1: but argues that people like that could become a public
- 14:18Speaker 1: charge and a potential drain on US resources.
- 14:21Speaker 2: All right, I mean that's fair.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Now, Assessing health has been part of the application for years,
- 14:28Speaker 1: as I explained to you, but this one is kind
- 14:31Speaker 1: of neat because this one says a counselor officer can
- 14:37Speaker 1: deem you too fat to come into the country.
- 14:41Speaker 2: I don't quite know what too fat is. Does it
- 14:45Speaker 2: say BMI, huh? Is this what you were tying to me? Yeah?
- 14:49Speaker 1: You and will Thank goodness that you guys are already
- 14:52Speaker 1: American citizens, or you'd be in a lot.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Of trouble.
- 14:56Speaker 1: For having a non medical person say you are too
- 15:00Speaker 1: fat for the reasons that you are going to cost
- 15:03Speaker 1: the American public money.
- 15:05Speaker 2: And then it gets beyond that.
- 15:08Speaker 1: One of the one of the concerns, and this is
- 15:11Speaker 1: a counselor official. You're applying and you have a counselor
- 15:14Speaker 1: office and you're talking to him during an interview, and
- 15:16Speaker 1: the guy goes, yeah, you're pretty heavy.
- 15:18Speaker 2: You know, you're quite the heifer.
- 15:19Speaker 1: You know that.
- 15:20Speaker 2: I don't think we're gonna let you in because you're
- 15:21Speaker 2: just too fat.
- 15:22Speaker 3: You think we just go faty fatty two by four
- 15:26Speaker 3: can't get through the country door.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Yeah, pretty much. It's they look at particularly, I like
- 15:34Speaker 1: the one of obesity because of my history that obesity
- 15:40Speaker 1: can cause asthma, sleep, app you know, high blood pressure.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Yeah, it can any particular reason when that's going to happen.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Well, no, we don't know, but we know it can
- 15:50Speaker 1: can it can cause that and one of the one
- 15:54Speaker 1: of the criteria is, well, let's say you're fat, or
- 15:58Speaker 1: let's say you have the puss ability of disease, do
- 16:01Speaker 1: you have the money to treat yourself? And that is
- 16:05Speaker 1: to have your money to get enough medical treatment so
- 16:09Speaker 1: you will not be on the public goals, so the
- 16:12Speaker 1: American people don't have to pay for your medical care. Okay,
- 16:17Speaker 1: I don't know how much money that is. By the way,
- 16:19Speaker 1: what does it cost someone who is obese over the
- 16:23Speaker 1: next thirty or forty years to be treated for cardiovascular
- 16:27Speaker 1: disease or treated for high blood pressure? Because I certainly
- 16:31Speaker 1: can guess as to what my costs are going to be, right,
- 16:35Speaker 1: I know exactly what my costs are going to be
- 16:37Speaker 1: over my lifetime for treatment of diseases. Neil, you certainly
- 16:40Speaker 1: know who the hell knows how much is going to cost?
- 16:43Speaker 1: How much money do you have to have put away
- 16:45Speaker 1: to make sure you have enough money to pay for
- 16:47Speaker 1: medical costs in the future, and we don't know what
- 16:49Speaker 1: they are.
- 16:50Speaker 2: I mean, this is getting really insane. Do you have
- 16:53Speaker 2: enough money for long term care?
- 16:55Speaker 1: Is asked, Yeah, well no, because when does long term
- 16:59Speaker 1: care start? We don't know, but we can say no
- 17:04Speaker 1: to you, just really interesting stuff. By the way, immigrants
- 17:10Speaker 1: already undergo a medical exam by a physician that's been
- 17:13Speaker 1: approved by US embassy. And if you have high blood pressure,
- 17:17Speaker 1: where's the high blood pressure come into play? At what
- 17:20Speaker 1: point is it one forty over ninety? And then you're
- 17:23Speaker 1: not allowed in? And by the way, who makes that
- 17:27Speaker 1: decision a counselor office officer, the guide behind the desk.
- 17:30Speaker 1: You're saying, I want to get in the United States,
- 17:34Speaker 1: chronic diseases should be considered according to the guidance. I mean,
- 17:40Speaker 1: sometimes there is legitimacy to what the Trump administration is
- 17:45Speaker 1: doing in terms of immigrants, and sometimes there is crazy.
- 17:49Speaker 1: And this is crazy. Coming up next Wednesday, incidentally, I've
- 17:52Speaker 1: been telling you about the story of one of Lindsay's
- 17:56Speaker 1: best friends. Her son in law was deported. Her son
- 17:59Speaker 1: in law was picked up by ice, and I'm going
- 18:03Speaker 1: to bring her on to talk about her experience and
- 18:06Speaker 1: how the family is dealing with it, because I haven't
- 18:08Speaker 1: talked about what happens with family members.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Uh. And there's a world there, and I want to
- 18:13Speaker 2: keep in mind Christy Noome is talking about we're only
- 18:16Speaker 2: deporting the worst of the worst, the worst of the worst,
- 18:21Speaker 2: if you.
- 18:22Speaker 4: Had gone Mike heard some controversy with this the other day,
- 18:24Speaker 4: by the way, because you mentioned he was a photographer,
- 18:27Speaker 4: and you always tell people that jobs aren't being taken away,
- 18:30Speaker 4: and a photographer left left a message and says, you're
- 18:32Speaker 4: full of crap.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Why because I didn't hire him. This guy is this
- 18:36Speaker 2: kid has been our kid.
- 18:37Speaker 1: He's been in this country for uh since he's been
- 18:40Speaker 1: thirteen years old and brought over because yep, he is
- 18:45Speaker 1: not picking grapes.
- 18:46Speaker 2: He is a photographer. You're right, And so then people.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Could have and there are people that are going to say, yes,
- 18:51Speaker 1: he should have been picked up and deported because he
- 18:53Speaker 1: is the worst of the worst, or even if he's not.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Came over here when he was thirteen, his aunt was
- 18:58Speaker 1: murdered and thrown in front of their porch with their
- 19:01Speaker 1: tongue cut out by MS thirteen and they fled to
- 19:06Speaker 1: the United States. His brother was given asylum. He was
- 19:09Speaker 1: in ten years. He's been trying to be given asylum
- 19:11Speaker 1: and they picked him up. And Jeannette will be here
- 19:14Speaker 1: and explain all of it. It is an astounding story.
- 19:17Speaker 1: And yes, I hired him to be a photographer my
- 19:21Speaker 1: daughter's wedding, yep, And I know, well yeah, actually yeah,
- 19:26Speaker 1: because I threatened to call Ice if he didn't give
- 19:28Speaker 1: me a great deal. What a deal I got for
- 19:30Speaker 1: the photography too, my god? And the pictures are great
- 19:34Speaker 1: all right?
- 19:35Speaker 2: Now.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Katie Porter, Democratic congresswoman running for governor, and she was
- 19:42Speaker 1: the lead and no longer the lead because a couple
- 19:46Speaker 1: of videos came out. There was a CBS reporter, Julie Watts,
- 19:51Speaker 1: asked her what she would say to the nearly six
- 19:54Speaker 1: point one million Californians who voted for Trump in twenty
- 19:56Speaker 1: twenty four, and Porter said that she didn't need their
- 20:03Speaker 1: support if she competed against the Republican in November of.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Twenty twenty six.
- 20:08Speaker 1: The runoff then wants a follow up question, and Porter
- 20:13Speaker 1: accuses her of being unnecessarily argumentative and then holds up
- 20:17Speaker 1: her hands towards reporter's face and later said I don't
- 20:19Speaker 1: want I don't want this on camera. And then there
- 20:23Speaker 1: was a twenty twenty one, five years ago video emerged
- 20:27Speaker 1: of her berating a staffer who corrected her about some
- 20:30Speaker 1: information that she was discussing about EVS, and Porter's screaming
- 20:35Speaker 1: get out of my effing shot because the woman was.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Behind her and that went.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Viral and that cost her among the Democrats just she
- 20:48Speaker 1: lost first place. I mean, this may have cost her
- 20:53Speaker 1: the candidacy because Democrats can't do this, They're not allowed.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Now there's one person that gets away with this, and
- 21:05Speaker 1: I kind of like it, and that's Donald Trump. Donald
- 21:09Speaker 1: Trump can post she's so ugly. I would never have
- 21:14Speaker 1: sex with her. She's too ugly when accused of sexual misconduct,
- 21:19Speaker 1: telling his opponents they are liars, their thieves, small hands, crooks,
- 21:25Speaker 1: I mean, just straight out. I happen to like that.
- 21:28Speaker 1: I happen to think that that's real. That's the way
- 21:31Speaker 1: people act, This is how they feel. This political speak
- 21:35Speaker 1: is just it doesn't do anybody any good. Reality does.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Because when Trump does that, I think it's great. But
- 21:43Speaker 1: he's the only way and get away with it. He's
- 21:46Speaker 1: the only one that can get away with it. Remember
- 21:48Speaker 1: Hillary Clinton when asked about Trump's supporters, and she said
- 21:54Speaker 1: they're the deplorables.
- 21:57Speaker 2: They are racist, they are xenophobic. Wow.
- 22:02Speaker 1: When asked, how what do you feel about those Trump
- 22:05Speaker 1: supporters who are Democrats are going to vote for them?
- 22:09Speaker 1: Deplorables as opposed to saying something smart like, well, I'd
- 22:15Speaker 1: like to bring them over to our side. I think
- 22:18Speaker 1: their belief in Donald Trump is misguided, and it's my
- 22:21Speaker 1: job to inform them that they're basically backing the wrong horse,
- 22:27Speaker 1: as opposed to you're deplorable, you're disgusting. How many people
- 22:32Speaker 1: do you think that we're on sort of, let's say
- 22:35Speaker 1: on Republicans Democrats didn't know which way to go that
- 22:40Speaker 1: were and she was talking about way lower socioeconomic classes.
- 22:44Speaker 1: He was basically she was basically saying, this is white trash.
