- 0:05Speaker 1: NFL Now is a production of the NFL in partnership
- 0:08Speaker 1: with I Heart Radio. How much snow is Buffalo going
- 0:20Speaker 1: to get Saturday evening live on NFL Network will tell
- 0:24Speaker 1: you coming up shortly. We're also live in Buffalo to
- 0:27Speaker 1: talk to a snowman, not a snowman. Uh well, you'll see. Hi.
- 0:33Speaker 1: I'm andrews Siciliana. We are alive and reasonably warm Los
- 0:36Speaker 1: Angeles for NFL Now on a game day. Let's get
- 0:38Speaker 1: to that game. It's coming up in Seattle this evening.
- 0:42Speaker 1: It's at Lumen Field. It's where the forty Niners can
- 0:45Speaker 1: sweep the Seahawks for the first time in eleven years.
- 0:47Speaker 1: And if they are to do so, guess what, they
- 0:51Speaker 1: win the NFC West for the first time in twenty
- 0:54Speaker 1: or since twenty nine. Team we talked last hour about
- 1:00Speaker 1: Rock Purty. He should be good to go, James Palmer,
- 1:03Speaker 1: Brian Baldinger with me as well. The key for Pete
- 1:05Speaker 1: Carroll and Shane Waldron is to keep the ball away
- 1:08Speaker 1: from Kyle Shanahan and his toys. And to do that, James,
- 1:11Speaker 1: they need to get that run game going again tonight.
- 1:17Speaker 1: They really do, and we know that's the philosophy of
- 1:19Speaker 1: Pete Carroll right, Andrew is running the football consistently and
- 1:22Speaker 1: through the first nine games they're running out about a
- 1:24Speaker 1: hundred and thirty three yards per game. These last four
- 1:27Speaker 1: games about sixty yards per game on the ground. Now,
- 1:30Speaker 1: the two big issues are this, Pete Carroll says, they're
- 1:32Speaker 1: not converting the third downs to keep the run game going,
- 1:34Speaker 1: to have more attempts to get more yards. The other
- 1:37Speaker 1: part is, he says, the inconsistency to get a start
- 1:40Speaker 1: at the line of scrimmage. They're not blasting off the
- 1:42Speaker 1: ball to get those pop runs he said, going down
- 1:45Speaker 1: the field. Now, the issue is they're going against the
- 1:47Speaker 1: forty nine tonight, where the number one total defense, number
- 1:50Speaker 1: one scoring defense, and number one against the run. And
- 1:52Speaker 1: if you ask anybody in that forty Niners building, they're
- 1:55Speaker 1: going to tell you the same thing. The identity of
- 1:57Speaker 1: that defensive line is their get off the key on
- 1:59Speaker 1: the ball so well, and they push you downfield, you
- 2:02Speaker 1: can't get up on them. I was told it could
- 2:04Speaker 1: be a sad day walk through. They're working through their
- 2:06Speaker 1: Hell Mary scenarios at the end of practice and the
- 2:09Speaker 1: defensive line is flying off the ball, getting down field.
- 2:11Speaker 1: It's their identity, it's what they do. Now those numbers
- 2:14Speaker 1: I gave you at the top of that Andrew about
- 2:16Speaker 1: the run game and the issues for the first nine
- 2:18Speaker 1: weeks compared to the last four. First nine weeks, Juno
- 2:21Speaker 1: Smith just four turnovers. The last four weeks, He's got
- 2:24Speaker 1: seven turnovers. So the inability to run the football affecting
- 2:27Speaker 1: their quarterback as well. All Right, they're gonna have to
- 2:29Speaker 1: get that run game going this evening. And Kenneth Walker
- 2:31Speaker 1: is not on the injury report, for what it's worth,
- 2:33Speaker 1: so he should be good to go. Baldi, they're facing
- 2:36Speaker 1: the number one defense and football. They're facing a defense
- 2:39Speaker 1: for the last couple of weeks for Debeco Ryans, their
- 2:41Speaker 1: coordinator a former linebacker himself. Their linebackers have put on
- 2:44Speaker 1: a show, Thank you, James. Thursday Night Football leads to
- 2:49Speaker 1: Saturday Showdown on NFL Network with three games starting at
- 2:53Speaker 1: one in Minneapolis, at four in Cleveland, and the nightcap,
- 2:57Speaker 1: on which we will focus now eight pm Eastern time.
- 3:01Speaker 1: The Bills and Cold and Snow and the Dolphins Miami
- 3:06Speaker 1: comes in at eight and five Right now in a
- 3:09Speaker 1: wild card you don't want to follow eight and six
- 3:11Speaker 1: give those other teams, the Patriots, the Chargers, the Jets
- 3:14Speaker 1: a chance to tie in the standings and knock you
- 3:17Speaker 1: into the far right of the screen. The in the
- 3:20Speaker 1: Hunt side of the screen. The Bills are ten and three.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Let's talk about them for a little bit. Trying High
- 3:28Speaker 1: Cam High Mark to win their third consecutive division tie.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Do you look at the scoreboard last week? Cam against
- 3:33Speaker 1: a very good defense that the Jets throw at you.
- 3:36Speaker 1: They got the job done, certainly, But afterwards Josh Allen
- 3:39Speaker 1: was told by a reporter, this doesn't look like a
- 3:41Speaker 1: playoff offense. He didn't like that, and how are they
- 3:44Speaker 1: answering their critics this week? Ye Andrew. First of all,
- 3:48Speaker 1: Josh Allen is getting healthier and that should help as
- 3:51Speaker 1: they go into the playoff season. Earlier today, Sean McDermott said,
- 3:54Speaker 1: this helbal injury. They're continuing to increase his workload and
- 3:57Speaker 1: as they get close to the playoff time, you'll get
- 4:00Speaker 1: close to the healthier version of Josh Allen we saw
- 4:02Speaker 1: early in the season. We forget that he suffered at
- 4:05Speaker 1: elbow injured. That looks significant because he decided to play
- 4:08Speaker 1: through it, and so because of that, they've dialed out
- 4:10Speaker 1: back the offense a little bit. There was a period
- 4:12Speaker 1: about four weeks ago where all we were talking about
- 4:15Speaker 1: is why is Josh Allen playing so much hero ball?
- 4:18Speaker 1: Why is he throwing so much interceptions? Well, over the
- 4:20Speaker 1: last four games, he's had just one interception, and of
- 4:23Speaker 1: course because of that, they've dialed back some of the yardage.
- 4:26Speaker 1: He hasn't had as many three d yard games. So
- 4:28Speaker 1: as much as the Bill's offense is struggling, they found
- 4:30Speaker 1: ways to win with Josh Allen playing this way and
- 4:33Speaker 1: for this game Saturday Night, it's his style of game.
- 4:37Speaker 1: He's there, all weather quarterback. He makes plays with his
- 4:40Speaker 1: legs when the arm plays aren't available. And there was
- 4:42Speaker 1: a play last week against the Jets on third and
- 4:44Speaker 1: fifteen and Baldi did a great breakdown about this on Twitter,
- 4:47Speaker 1: where the pressure comes from the Jets, he escapes, he
- 4:50Speaker 1: leaps over a Jets defender and gets sixteen of the
- 4:53Speaker 1: fifteen yards needed and goes to the first down. Those
- 4:56Speaker 1: are the plays where Josh Allen does Josh Allen things
- 4:59Speaker 1: that makes him an equalizer and the Dawsons Dolphins have
- 5:01Speaker 1: talked all week about rush lane integrity, stopp Josh Allen
- 5:05Speaker 1: in those ways. But the Bills, despite their quote unquote struggles,
- 5:09Speaker 1: are Super Bowl contenders because of Josh Allen and they'll
- 5:11Speaker 1: continue to be. So. Yeah, the keys to keep him
- 5:13Speaker 1: out of those third lungs where he has to play
- 5:15Speaker 1: hero ball, but he seemingly finds a way almost every time.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I'm checking the weather cam here on Dolphins for cam
- 5:21Speaker 1: right now, cam on Dolphins cam. It is eighty four
- 5:24Speaker 1: degrees outside where you sit right now. It's gonna be
- 5:28Speaker 1: mid twenties with a lot of snow potentially Saturday evening.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Here's what too I had to say about that could
- 5:35Speaker 1: be snowing, could could rain. I don't know. Um, you know,
- 5:39Speaker 1: and like I I think it's for for me at
- 5:43Speaker 1: least I can speak for myself that it's a mindset thing. Really.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Um and if I'm too focused and worried about you know,
- 5:53Speaker 1: is it two code? Is it? Can I Can I
- 5:55Speaker 1: really grab the ball? Can I not? Like? Then you know,
- 5:58Speaker 1: I would say I'm focused on the wrong things. Um.
- 6:01Speaker 1: So yeah, it's snow to in Alabama my year. Yeah,
- 6:07Speaker 1: so it snows in Alabama, guys, it doesn't really snow
- 6:12Speaker 1: in Hawaii. Were two is from Mark Ross Unless you're
- 6:15Speaker 1: on top of a volcano, which I don't recommend, or
- 6:18Speaker 1: a tall mountain. You get my point, Mark, you buy
- 6:21Speaker 1: what he's selling there, Uh, not at all. A little
- 6:24Speaker 1: dust things in Tuscaloosa, that's not snow in Tuscaloosa what
- 6:28Speaker 1: he's seen. But let's just talk about the play on
- 6:31Speaker 1: the field first, with two of and the struggles that
- 6:33Speaker 1: he's had. Their whole offense and two is all predicated
- 6:37Speaker 1: on him being in a rhythm. This was when he's
- 6:39Speaker 1: at his best, even at Alabama, when things were so
- 6:42Speaker 1: easy for him that he essentially just gets the snap
- 6:45Speaker 1: and he sees his target and he goes with it.
- 6:47Speaker 1: And the last couple of weeks with the forty Niners
- 6:49Speaker 1: and Chargers, they've been able to get him out of
- 6:52Speaker 1: that m rhythm. And two of them struggles because the
- 6:55Speaker 1: second dairy playmaking that he has to have, he really
- 6:59Speaker 1: hasn't shown he's proficient at that. So the Bills will
- 7:02Speaker 1: will definitely copy that. The Bill are great defense anyway,
- 7:06Speaker 1: no matter who they play, but definitely sort of replicate
- 7:08Speaker 1: that defense and see if to A can have a
- 7:12Speaker 1: counter to that, if he can make plays, if he
- 7:15Speaker 1: has to move off of that second the first target
- 7:18Speaker 1: if he has to move in the pocket. But also, yes,
- 7:21Speaker 1: the weather is going to be a huge factor in
- 7:24Speaker 1: this because you can't just throw the ball all over
- 7:27Speaker 1: the place if it's snowing, if it's windy up there
- 7:29Speaker 1: in Buffalo. The mindset there, he's talking about the mindset,
- 7:32Speaker 1: but the actual elements that you actually have to do
- 7:35Speaker 1: to to operate the offense. In those elements you just
- 7:38Speaker 1: can't do. So then the Dolphins will have to have
- 7:40Speaker 1: a counter with well, if you gotta run the ball
- 7:42Speaker 1: in those sort of elements there twenty nine in the
- 7:45Speaker 1: league running the ball. That's not a good formula for
- 7:49Speaker 1: the Dolphins to go up into that weather against that
- 7:52Speaker 1: great defense knowing they can get him out of their rhythm.
- 7:55Speaker 1: And then also, okay, in order to play in this cold,
- 7:58Speaker 1: in this snow, we have to run the ball, and
- 7:59Speaker 1: you don't do that well either. This might be another
- 8:02Speaker 1: struggle for this Dolphins Dolphins offense up there. Andrew my
- 8:05Speaker 1: quick google, does it snow on Oahu where two is from?
- 8:09Speaker 1: Got back? Yes, it does snow across the Hawaiian islands
- 8:12Speaker 1: on top as I mentioned, of the three volcanoes Manola,
- 8:14Speaker 1: Monichi and Hallakla, so unless you're up there at altitude.
- 8:18Speaker 1: You're not gonna see snow in Hawaii, but you will
- 8:20Speaker 1: see it live in in HD on your television. Coming
- 8:23Speaker 1: up on Saturday in Buffalo. Thank you Camp, Thank you
- 8:25Speaker 1: Mark Ross. Should be fun of snow game. We didn't
- 8:28Speaker 1: get it a couple of weeks ago. They moved the
- 8:30Speaker 1: game to Detroit. We're gonna get it Saturday. We're gonna
- 8:32Speaker 1: get the insiders now. Ian Rappaport, Mike aarra Folo, Hello, gentlemen,
- 8:35Speaker 1: with some news from around the league. News that broke
- 8:38Speaker 1: as you guys were packing up and on the air
- 8:40Speaker 1: there Ian yesterday at the league meeting. UH news out
- 8:44Speaker 1: of Arizona. What do we know about Steve Kim. Steve com,
- 8:49Speaker 1: the general manager of the Arizona Cardinals since the two
- 8:51Speaker 1: thousand and thirteen season, the mainstay at the organization since
- 8:55Speaker 1: he came on as a regional scouting has taken what
- 8:59Speaker 1: has described to me as an indefinite health related leave
- 9:03Speaker 1: of absence. Read. The news came last night, around the
- 9:05Speaker 1: time others in the organization were notified about a situation
- 9:09Speaker 1: that really, I would say had been kind of building
- 9:11Speaker 1: over the last couple of months. Steve Come stepping away,
- 9:14Speaker 1: it is unclear when he is going to be back. Franka,
- 9:17Speaker 1: I think it's fair to say Andrew's future up in
- 9:20Speaker 1: the air in the organization. We just do not know
- 9:23Speaker 1: where he is going to be health wise and when
- 9:25Speaker 1: he is going to continue in his job. Obviously, best
- 9:28Speaker 1: wishes to Steve Come during his ongoing situation. Meanwhile, from
- 9:33Speaker 1: a football sense, it has been a tumultuous season for
- 9:35Speaker 1: the Arizona Cardinals. On field it has been rough. Of course,
- 9:39Speaker 1: you have the Kyler Murray torn a c l now
- 9:41Speaker 1: out for the season. Off the field it has been
- 9:43Speaker 1: difficult as well. But as far as handling the off
- 9:47Speaker 1: the field issues and the football issues of two of
- 9:49Speaker 1: time's top lieutenants who have now been elevated to handle
- 9:52Speaker 1: his work in the interim, Adrian Wilson, the VP of
- 9:57Speaker 1: Pro Personnel, that is one Quentin Harris, the VP of
- 10:00Speaker 1: Player Personnel, are going to split his duties Adrian Wilson,
- 10:03Speaker 1: the former Pro Bowl safety. Of those guys they're doing
- 10:06Speaker 1: Steve Coimes duties. Also great access by the way, HMEO
- 10:09Speaker 1: Max last night The Hard Knocks with the Cardinals. Good stuff.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Cliff Kingsbury his postgame speech, I recommend everyone checking it out.
- 10:16Speaker 1: After they lost to the Patriots in Baltimore. Mike garre Folo,
- 10:21Speaker 1: Tyler Huntley is cleared concussion protocol, but John Harball is
- 10:24Speaker 1: being coy with whether dot Huntley is gonna play Saturday. Okay,
- 10:28Speaker 1: so I'll tell you Tyler Huntley is gonna start at
- 10:30Speaker 1: quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens. Anthony Brown did an admirable job,
- 10:34Speaker 1: but Tyler Huntley a guy that they are extremely high on,
- 10:37Speaker 1: a guy whose style is similar to that of Lamar Jackson.
- 10:40Speaker 1: So when Jackson's out, you can just slide Huntly right
- 10:43Speaker 1: in and it doesn't disrupt many things. He's also a
- 10:46Speaker 1: guy who works very hard, studies very hard. The players
- 10:48Speaker 1: like him a lot. So yeah, you can do a
- 10:50Speaker 1: lot worse than Tyler Huntley as your backup quarterback. And
- 10:53Speaker 1: I say back up. He'll be the starter because Lamar
- 10:55Speaker 1: Jackson still has not practice. I know there was some
- 10:57Speaker 1: hope that maybe it would only be a one game absence,
- 10:59Speaker 1: but he is going to miss his second game. So
- 11:02Speaker 1: Huntley will be there in Cleveland for the game that
- 11:05Speaker 1: is on NFL Network. I will be there. I know
- 11:08Speaker 1: you love when I plugged that Andrew as well as
- 11:09Speaker 1: my presence there for the pregame. Uh, and the boss
- 11:13Speaker 1: is gonna be there. Just got an email from Charlie
- 11:15Speaker 1: you saying he's gonna be there, so I'm gonna have
- 11:16Speaker 1: to be on my best behavior. What's up, Charlie. Elsewhere
- 11:19Speaker 1: on the NFL quarterback front, I thought, who cares? Well,
- 11:23Speaker 1: you're not typically I'm not mad. I'm impressed. As somebody
- 11:25Speaker 1: once said, thank you, yes, but call me a dog elsewhere,
- 11:34Speaker 1: I'm not. You know what I got you? Keep going?
- 11:37Speaker 1: I got you, Yeah, I got you. Bastair. Good rehearsal, guys,
- 11:41Speaker 1: good rehearsal. All right, yeah, good rehearsal. Baker Mayfield he
- 11:45Speaker 1: is going to start as well. Uh. If you're surprised
- 11:48Speaker 1: by that, you probably didn't see the game last Thursday.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Baker Mayfield was really impressive with no preparation, So imagine
- 11:54Speaker 1: what he can do with some preparation. Sean McVeigh say,
- 11:56Speaker 1: John Wolford is out. So Baker Mayfield in his seventeen
- 11:59Speaker 1: jersey that he doesn't seem to love. They asked him
- 12:02Speaker 1: about that on the Amazon post game show and he
- 12:04Speaker 1: was like, don't say that. I look good in this number.
- 12:06Speaker 1: It clearly wants to change it, but you can't change
- 12:08Speaker 1: in season that numbers already taken. Andrew, I know you
- 12:11Speaker 1: remember who it is because I forgot off the top
- 12:13Speaker 1: of my head. So I'm putting you on the spot,
- 12:15Speaker 1: and you're gotta tell me. Number six for the Rams
- 12:17Speaker 1: is uh Darien Kendrick rookie corner out of Georgia. There,
- 12:22Speaker 1: But you can't want anything Rams in all seriousness, that
- 12:26Speaker 1: seventeen was the only number they had between one and
- 12:28Speaker 1: nineteen that was available. Every number was taken um. The
- 12:32Speaker 1: only one that wasn't taken was Bob Waterfield's number seven,
- 12:36Speaker 1: which is retired. So seventeen was the only number that
- 12:40Speaker 1: Baker Mayfield could actually were. So he dressed up like
- 12:44Speaker 1: had no number, marched him down the field. Say that again,
- 12:48Speaker 1: good question. What would happen if they had no numbers?
- 12:51Speaker 1: He could have worn a like a twenties like Flutie
- 12:55Speaker 1: or Bernie Kosar back in college football when we were kids.
- 12:59Speaker 1: I guess, but you can technically can't do two. Didn't
- 13:02Speaker 1: flute War two anyway? I don't think, Yeah, you can't
- 13:05Speaker 1: do that. It's a great question. They didn't have to
- 13:07Speaker 1: have it answered, but we do have to have answered
- 13:09Speaker 1: Ian Darren Waller's status. We haven't seen him since October two. Yeah,
- 13:15Speaker 1: help is on the way for the Las Vegas Raiders.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Had they pulled out that game last week or the
- 13:21Speaker 1: last time they played, would have been a much different situation.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Winners of four in a row with two of their
- 13:24Speaker 1: best players set to return. Both of the practice windows
- 13:28Speaker 1: have been opened for Darren Waller, the star tight end
- 13:31Speaker 1: for the Raiders they locked up before the season. He's
- 13:33Speaker 1: been deal with a hamstring injury that really has bothered
- 13:36Speaker 1: him since the beginning of the season, it seems, and
- 13:38Speaker 1: Hunter Renfro went on i R with an oblique injury.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Both these guys practice this week. Both of them have
- 13:43Speaker 1: a chance to play on Sunday. Still a lot to
- 13:46Speaker 1: play for with the Raiders, not out of anything. I'm
- 13:48Speaker 1: just saying would have been a little different had they
- 13:50Speaker 1: won that game, and they would have had one four
- 13:52Speaker 1: in a row and just had seven losses. Anyway, it
- 13:54Speaker 1: is okay, there you go. So help is on the
- 13:58Speaker 1: way for the Raiders. As we turned this into an
- 14:00Speaker 1: Anchorman segment, and now Mike Garafolo is going to go
- 14:03Speaker 1: get a try. I did, but you know we did
- 14:06Speaker 1: office space yesterday, so we're showing our age. Thank you, Ian,
- 14:10Speaker 1: thank you, Mike continuing, We'll go to Buffalo straight ahead.
- 14:15Speaker 1: What's it like to block for this guy? What's it
- 14:17Speaker 1: like to play in the snow. We're gonna talk to
- 14:19Speaker 1: a snowman? No true story. We will straight ahead in
- 14:24Speaker 1: Buffalo when wwin win win, win, Love me some Saturday football.
- 14:35Speaker 1: We have three games for you on NFL Network coming
- 14:38Speaker 1: up and NFL Plus as well. Take it with you.
- 14:40Speaker 1: This is how your football. We'll do it with the
- 14:42Speaker 1: Colts and the Vikings, the Ravens and the Browns. We
- 14:45Speaker 1: spoke to Joe Pltonio before. It's a Big Man Thursday
- 14:48Speaker 1: here on NFL. Now, let's focus on the Dolphins and
- 14:51Speaker 1: the Bills. From Bill's cam live with the weather report
- 14:55Speaker 1: there Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee presented by
- 14:57Speaker 1: nation Wide Dion Dawkins. Isn't snowing yet. It is not snowing,
- 15:02Speaker 1: but it might be on Saturday Day. They say we
- 15:05Speaker 1: should get seven inches, but in Buffalo, you really don't know.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Seven inches can really turn into a foot and a
- 15:10Speaker 1: half or two ft, but you never know. Hopefully they
- 15:13Speaker 1: bring their snow gear, their snow gear, because you are
- 15:16Speaker 1: in this before the snowman. This goes back to growing
- 15:21Speaker 1: up in New Jersey. You'd be shoveling driveways trying to
- 15:24Speaker 1: make what did you say back then? Money was that what?
- 15:28Speaker 1: It was a couple of well at that point it
- 15:30Speaker 1: was it was still dollars. But you know this money
- 15:32Speaker 1: does fall, Okay, a couple of dollars? Okay? So so
- 15:36Speaker 1: do people still call you the snowman? Do you build
- 15:40Speaker 1: snow men in Orchard Park? So the I don't build
- 15:45Speaker 1: snowman anymore, but I am still the snowman. And then
- 15:49Speaker 1: you know, on game day I turned into Obamamo show.
- 15:53Speaker 1: You know, I got the good in the bad. So
- 15:54Speaker 1: you know a little bit of both. Okay, well you're
- 15:57Speaker 1: going to turn into the bad snow man, I would
- 15:59Speaker 1: assume coming up Saturday evening with the Dolphins coming to town,
- 16:03Speaker 1: who say that they're not going to be affected. Dion,
- 16:08Speaker 1: if the snow is coming down and it's mid twenties,
- 16:11Speaker 1: do you buy that? Of course not? Um no, you
- 16:16Speaker 1: know people people talk about things before they know and
- 16:19Speaker 1: what's coming. But um the weather really doesn't win or
- 16:24Speaker 1: lose games. It just makes you play harder and just
- 16:26Speaker 1: puts you in an uncomfortable situation. Where is your comfort
- 16:31Speaker 1: level with the offense right now? Dann, Because like Josh
- 16:35Speaker 1: was asked last week, or this looks like a playoff offense.
- 16:38Speaker 1: I know he didn't like that. You guys are scoring
- 16:40Speaker 1: enough points though to win. Isn't that what matters? See
- 16:43Speaker 1: and it seems like you got it, which which is
- 16:45Speaker 1: why you're and my guy. You know, um, if you're
- 16:49Speaker 1: putting points out, you're doing the right thing. If you
- 16:52Speaker 1: have more points than the other team, you're doing the
- 16:55Speaker 1: right team. Um, the right thing. It's never supposed to
- 16:58Speaker 1: be perfect. It's never gonna look like the week and
- 17:01Speaker 1: before because you're playing against different guys and every team
- 17:04Speaker 1: is drastic, really good. This is the NFL. So if
- 17:08Speaker 1: we went by three points, if we went by six, seven, whatever,
- 17:12Speaker 1: you know one you know, a win is a win,
- 17:14Speaker 1: and if it goes down in history like like they
- 17:17Speaker 1: don't look at oh Man like they had like one
- 17:19Speaker 1: week where and they looked a little shaky. But you know,
- 17:23Speaker 1: adding more wins than losses is really all we're looking
- 17:27Speaker 1: to do. Anyway, have you ever picked because we saw
- 17:31Speaker 1: these highlights of Josh jumping over dudes and you know,
- 17:34Speaker 1: doing helicopters like John Away in the Super Bowl. It's
- 17:36Speaker 1: third and fifteen, he gets sixteen, blowing over five guys.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Have you ever picked him up off the ground after
- 17:41Speaker 1: one of those plays and said, dude, don't do that,
- 17:44Speaker 1: like like you scared me? Like no, just just go down.
- 17:49Speaker 1: So multiple times, but usually it happens on the sideline
- 17:53Speaker 1: when you walk past him, and then you're like, Josh,
- 17:55Speaker 1: just just take it easy. It's like that was the
- 17:58Speaker 1: first dride, like, Chill, we got a whole game. Just chill.
- 18:01Speaker 1: You know, He's like, I got you, whatever takes, whatever takes,
- 18:05Speaker 1: and then he just goes back to being Josh. But
- 18:08Speaker 1: you know, it could be the first play the first
- 18:10Speaker 1: series and Josh is doing something out of It's like, oh,
- 18:13Speaker 1: like we got a whole game, but you know, uh,
- 18:16Speaker 1: just to it hurts down, chill. You know, like this relacts.
- 18:20Speaker 1: He has wired differently and he does whatever it takes
- 18:22Speaker 1: on the field and off the field. Dion, you do
- 18:24Speaker 1: as well. We're looking forward to a piece we're gonna
- 18:27Speaker 1: run next week on NFL that work on Good Morning
- 18:31Speaker 1: Football about the work you do in the community. Um,
- 18:34Speaker 1: mentoring and boys and girls clubs. Uh. Inspired change. Talk
- 18:39Speaker 1: to me about that what that means to you? Yeah, so, um,
- 18:44Speaker 1: first of all, being a part of anything to inspire
- 18:47Speaker 1: and to just be something of you know, life for
- 18:51Speaker 1: for for people, it's a it's an honor and uh
- 18:54Speaker 1: with being able to mentor kids and and have kids
- 18:58Speaker 1: that are close and nearby and even afar like look
- 19:01Speaker 1: up and reach out and just ask for for help. Um,
- 19:05Speaker 1: it's like like it's amazing and just to be present
- 19:08Speaker 1: for a human being is honestly the biggest part of it.
- 19:13Speaker 1: And that's what means. That's where it means the most
- 19:16Speaker 1: for myself, for a kid or a teenager to understand that,
- 19:22Speaker 1: you know, our schedules are full, full, all day long,
- 19:25Speaker 1: and then for us to give our hours and time
- 19:28Speaker 1: to them and for them to understand that if it's
- 19:30Speaker 1: an hour, if it's two hours, if it's three hours,
- 19:32Speaker 1: it's thirty minutes, you know, they accepted and they admire
- 19:37Speaker 1: the time that I'm giving and even at my teammates.
- 19:41Speaker 1: But it's a it's truly and and honor but inspiring change,
- 19:46Speaker 1: you know, just just and just being a human that
- 19:49Speaker 1: can open up the world of people being able to
- 19:53Speaker 1: be their selves. You know, I'm able to inspire and
- 19:57Speaker 1: change lives because I'm vulnerable and I live in a
- 19:59Speaker 1: vulnerable state of being natural to my true self. And uh,
- 20:04Speaker 1: I truly walked with it. I live with it. I
- 20:06Speaker 1: talked with it, and I'm true to myself and people
- 20:09Speaker 1: see it. And with me being true, I'm inspiring other
- 20:12Speaker 1: people to be true to their true selves as well,
- 20:15Speaker 1: and it just creates more positivity for people to just
- 20:19Speaker 1: want to be be their own. Dan, I hope you
- 20:23Speaker 1: realized how much that comes through the screen, how genuine
- 20:25Speaker 1: that feels with your work. They're big brothers, big sisters,
- 20:28Speaker 1: and your foundation as well, and that is why you
- 20:31Speaker 1: are The Bills nominee for the Walter Payton Man of
- 20:33Speaker 1: the Year were presented by Nationwide Last year. Andrew Whitworth
- 20:37Speaker 1: won the award and then played in the Super Bowl.
- 20:40Speaker 1: He had to make the decision do I have time
- 20:42Speaker 1: here getting ready for the game to make it to
- 20:45Speaker 1: the auditory and make it to the theater? Should I
- 20:47Speaker 1: be game prepping? He was there and he was on stage,
- 20:49Speaker 1: gave a great speech. Can you imagine if you guys,
- 20:51Speaker 1: what it would mean are in Glendale if you're in
- 20:54Speaker 1: Phoenix and you had to have that same thought here
- 20:57Speaker 1: if you want, man, it would it would be a
- 21:02Speaker 1: true honor. Um. You know, I didn't really really think
- 21:05Speaker 1: about that until right now. And uh, just to even
- 21:09Speaker 1: think about it, like an offensive linemen like with work
- 21:12Speaker 1: like I look up to guys like like Big with
- 21:16Speaker 1: I actually met with for the first time when I
- 21:18Speaker 1: was a rookie when I went to the Pro Bowl
- 21:20Speaker 1: with Richie and he introduced me. And uh for him
- 21:24Speaker 1: getting that and being there and speaking his heart and
- 21:27Speaker 1: then going on the like on the football field and
- 21:31Speaker 1: playing with with his passion, you know, Um, it's an honor.
- 21:34Speaker 1: But hey, man, if I can do it, I will
- 21:37Speaker 1: do it, and I will continue to to to show
- 21:41Speaker 1: my true self and whatever needs to and be done,
- 21:45Speaker 1: you know, I will. I will carry it and I
- 21:47Speaker 1: will do whatever it's needed and whatever it is to
- 21:50Speaker 1: continue to show the world big snow And Uh, I'm
- 21:54Speaker 1: true to myself man, and I'm a and I'm a
- 21:56Speaker 1: lover true and that, as I said, comes through the
- 21:59Speaker 1: Snowman for Walter Payton Man of the Year Award presented
- 22:03Speaker 1: by Nationwide. Let's make it too straight, Old Leiman after
- 22:06Speaker 1: Big wit one last year and his work continues in
- 22:09Speaker 1: the community. Just did an event with him here in
- 22:11Speaker 1: l a couple of weeks ago. He's the best. You
- 22:12Speaker 1: are too, Deon Hey. Good luck with this obviously, congratulations
- 22:16Speaker 1: and everything you do, and good luck Saturday night as well.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Thanks my dog, Hey, and a message for you. Stayed
- 22:22Speaker 1: true here so I support you with the good and
- 22:25Speaker 1: the bad and the ugly man. You know, continue to
- 22:27Speaker 1: be or so and I love you for it. I'm trying.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Happy Holidays, yeah, Dan, Deon Dawkins, everybody live there on
- 22:36Speaker 1: Bill's Camp. Time Now for the Pepsi zero Sugar Rookie
- 22:39Speaker 1: of the Week. Are the Jets stuffing the ballot box?
- 22:43Speaker 1: Zonovian Knight? Bam Knight, Congratulations, We are happy for you.
- 22:47Speaker 1: You had a nice game and a loss to the Bills.
- 22:50Speaker 1: It was a nice game, but shouldn't brock Purty win.
- 22:55Speaker 1: And if you're sensing a trend, and again I'm happy
- 22:57Speaker 1: for for Bam Knight. It is now ten of fourteen
- 23:02Speaker 1: weeks that the Jets have won the Pepsi zero Sugar
- 23:06Speaker 1: Rookie of the Week. Jets Twitter noticed Dan Handzus, I
- 23:11Speaker 1: think you're hitting refresh a lot on that browser, or
- 23:14Speaker 1: maybe it's eisen who who's stuff in the ballot box? Congratulations?
- 23:19Speaker 1: Do another jet coming up next? We are going live
- 23:24Speaker 1: to Tampa. We will hear from that man. How do
- 23:27Speaker 1: the Bucks bounce back against the Bengals? Gig all right?
- 23:39Speaker 1: That is lumin Field, that is Seattle. That building is
- 23:42Speaker 1: going to be loud this evening. It's the Seahawks try
- 23:45Speaker 1: to prevent the forty Niners from winning the West. The
- 23:49Speaker 1: Seahawks try to prevent the Forts from sweeping this series
- 23:54Speaker 1: for the first time since the news is James Palmer,
- 23:58Speaker 1: the brock Purty we discussed earlier. Seems good to go.
- 24:03Speaker 1: He stared down Tom Brady and Bucketeers last week. Why
- 24:07Speaker 1: do his teammates believe that he is up to the
- 24:10Speaker 1: challenge again tonight? And we talked to the first hour
- 24:14Speaker 1: Andrew about the moxie of brock Purty. Kyle, you check
- 24:17Speaker 1: their fullback to me, I don't know how to put
- 24:18Speaker 1: my finger on it exactly. He just has that makeup
- 24:21Speaker 1: that you say he is a football player. They love
- 24:24Speaker 1: everything of the makeup of brock Party. And now he
- 24:25Speaker 1: goes out on the road, as you mentioned here in Seattle,
- 24:28Speaker 1: chance to win the division in one of the most
- 24:31Speaker 1: hostile environments in the NFL on a short week, his
- 24:34Speaker 1: first short week preparation. He's also battling that oblique and
- 24:38Speaker 1: rib injury to when he spoke to the media on Tuesday,
- 24:40Speaker 1: had yet to throw a football this week. Just tack
- 24:43Speaker 1: the injury on now to the list of things he
- 24:45Speaker 1: has to go out and try to win a game
- 24:47Speaker 1: here in Seattle. Alright, win a game. I work is
- 24:50Speaker 1: cut out for us. You know, we we understand it's
- 24:52Speaker 1: gonna be a difficult test on a short week to
- 24:54Speaker 1: play a division raval and it got a lot um
- 24:57Speaker 1: a lot of implications in this game. Um, but that's
- 25:00Speaker 1: what we're here for. And I think it's just another
- 25:02Speaker 1: big test for him, you know, to be able to
- 25:06Speaker 1: play in that environment, to be another box he checks off.
- 25:09Speaker 1: He's very cool, calm and collected, just like uh, you know,
- 25:12Speaker 1: all the you want your quarterback to be. I guess, um,
- 25:15Speaker 1: like I said, he's been a pro. I don't know, No,
- 25:17Speaker 1: no moment has been too big for him, No moment
- 25:19Speaker 1: has been you know, overwhelming for him. He's been unbelievable
- 25:23Speaker 1: in the last you know, two weeks. No, Andrew, what
- 25:28Speaker 1: helps Brock Purdy out in this situation tonight, is that
- 25:31Speaker 1: they're coming off of a season high two nine rushing
- 25:34Speaker 1: yards going against the Seattle defense that ranks thirty one
- 25:38Speaker 1: in the NFL against the run. The run game of
- 25:40Speaker 1: the forty Niners could really help Rock Purdy out this evening.
- 25:43Speaker 1: It would help, and that defense would help. And if
- 25:45Speaker 1: you watch some of the Brock pretty wired stuff from
- 25:48Speaker 1: last week, you hear that defense loving them some Brock
- 25:52Speaker 1: Purty will see this evening. Thank you, James Palmer live
- 25:54Speaker 1: there in Seattle. Niners could wrap up the West become
- 25:56Speaker 1: the second team to make it in to the postseason.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Right now, San Francisco does lead the NFC West. Meantime,
- 26:02Speaker 1: the Bucketeers lead the NFC South, but they do so
- 26:06Speaker 1: with a losing record. Let's get the Tampa as the
- 26:09Speaker 1: Bucketeers get ready for the Cincinnati Bengals. If you noticed
- 26:15Speaker 1: last week, all Tom Brady and the Bucks managed against
- 26:18Speaker 1: the forty Diners was one measly fourth quarter touchdown, one
- 26:23Speaker 1: that some might describe as a garbage TV You know,
- 26:29Speaker 1: I think it's a I think the one thing about
- 26:31Speaker 1: football is you you get what you deserve. You know,
- 26:33Speaker 1: you gotta go earn it. There's no you know, the
- 26:36Speaker 1: Rams were in the Super Bowl, they were the Super
- 26:37Speaker 1: Bowl champions last year. This year they're not having a
- 26:39Speaker 1: kind of year they want. You know, it's just it's
- 26:41Speaker 1: a competitive league. Every thing brings you back to five.
- 26:44Speaker 1: You you know, you get some you don't do. You know,
- 26:47Speaker 1: play the right way, you don't, you know, execute the
- 26:51Speaker 1: way you're capable. It's it's a challenge, you know, and
- 26:54Speaker 1: you just try to figure out the challenge. And it's
- 26:56Speaker 1: a long race. It's yeah, you still got you know,
- 27:00Speaker 1: you don't. It's not over in week thirteen. That's why
- 27:03Speaker 1: you play all seventeen weeks. So that's what we're doing.
- 27:06Speaker 1: And you know, we'll see where were measured at the
- 27:08Speaker 1: end of the year. But there's no lack of I
- 27:11Speaker 1: guess maybe it's one of the strength. There's no lack
- 27:12Speaker 1: of quit, there's no lack of fight. Guys are practicing
- 27:14Speaker 1: their ass off. We're trying to work hard to make
- 27:16Speaker 1: the make the right improvements. And it's you know, every
- 27:19Speaker 1: day you're challenging this sport. You know, you get up
- 27:21Speaker 1: every day and your body feels a certain way. In
- 27:23Speaker 1: your mind and your confidence and your and then you
- 27:26Speaker 1: got to coordinate that with everyone else's body and confidence
- 27:29Speaker 1: and attitude, and you're trying to strain together special team's
- 27:32Speaker 1: offensive and there's a lot to do and it's really
- 27:33Speaker 1: rewarding when it pays off, and when it doesn't pay off,
- 27:37Speaker 1: it sucks. But that's like all of our jobs. You know,
- 27:39Speaker 1: when it doesn't go the way you want, it sucks.
- 27:41Speaker 1: And we gotta camp stand up here and answer questions
- 27:44Speaker 1: about why it's not going great. Believe me, it's you
- 27:47Speaker 1: wish it was going great every week, but that's not
- 27:49Speaker 1: our reality. And we gotta the our way out of it.
- 27:50Speaker 1: It's not anyone's no one's feeling sorry for us. No
- 27:54Speaker 1: one's outside of the locker room can do much about it.
- 27:57Speaker 1: We gotta come together and we gotta do it ourselves.
- 27:59Speaker 1: And I think I really appreciate what Todd is doing,
- 28:01Speaker 1: and you know he's putting it on us to fix it,
- 28:03Speaker 1: and you know that's what our responsibility is to do.
- 28:05Speaker 1: As the communication with other players on offense, is it
- 28:08Speaker 1: at the level that needs to be at right now?
- 28:11Speaker 1: Is it constant changing from week to week? I think
- 28:14Speaker 1: communication is important in life period, you know, business, sports,
- 28:18Speaker 1: everything it's about, you know, communicating the right way, and
- 28:22Speaker 1: you can always do a better job communicating, certainly in football.
- 28:25Speaker 1: We can. You know, the more you're more you play together,
- 28:27Speaker 1: I think you can. You know, nonverbal communication is really
- 28:30Speaker 1: important because you can't verbalize everything when there's seventy thou
- 28:33Speaker 1: fans but head nods and you know that's what you
- 28:37Speaker 1: talked through all week. You know, we only have three
- 28:39Speaker 1: hours a week to get it right, and and you
- 28:41Speaker 1: work pretty hard in advance of that to try to
- 28:42Speaker 1: put yourself in a position to succeed. Yeah, it's been
- 28:45Speaker 1: that kind of season, Brady said, week thirteen. We're heading
- 28:48Speaker 1: into week fifteen when the kick up the ball running.
