- 0:14SPEAKER_01: On whatever podcast platform you like to go.
- 0:20SPEAKER_01: So stay hello.
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: Cook it up, trouble making beautiful mess.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: Grab your ears and bring your laugh track friend.
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: And now here's Steve and Jeff.
- 0:35SPEAKER_03: Well, hey, that is pretty exciting.
- 0:38SPEAKER_03: We got sung in by the Steve and Jeff show band.
- 0:41SPEAKER_03: They picked up when Johnny took off to go, you know, get the brownies last time.
- 0:46SPEAKER_03: I I gotta tell you, Jeff, I never thought we'd have a band.
- 0:49SPEAKER_03: And it's it's really it's all due to your brother.
- 0:52SPEAKER_02: Well, all of this stuff is confusing to me.
- 0:55SPEAKER_02: Johnny should be starting the show.
- 0:57SPEAKER_02: I should be saying, How's it going, Steve?
- 0:59SPEAKER_02: I should have had dinner ahead of time, and none of those things are the same.
- 1:03SPEAKER_02: So I'm just I'm in complete shock.
- 1:06SPEAKER_02: But it feels good, Steve.
- 1:07SPEAKER_02: Feels good to not do the same thing.
- 1:09SPEAKER_02: And you're right about this song.
- 1:11SPEAKER_03: It does, you know, because now that you're back from Florida, you're back kind of in the in the normal time, in the post-reality reality that we live in.
- 1:20SPEAKER_03: You know, you're you're back to normal as we call it.
- 1:24SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you know what I'm saying?
- 1:25SPEAKER_03: So you're not in Florida anymore, you're not living in the past.
- 1:28SPEAKER_03: That's like changing time zones.
- 1:30SPEAKER_03: You know, that's gonna take you a few days to really adjust to 2026 because it's there's a lot to adjust to.
- 1:37SPEAKER_02: You know, I take off and go to Florida, I come back and the whole world is different.
- 1:41SPEAKER_02: So that's you know, it's a little disorienting, but the song is great, you're right.
- 1:45SPEAKER_02: My brother chose a good one.
- 1:47SPEAKER_03: I understand he's managing bands these days.
- 1:50SPEAKER_03: That's right.
- 1:51SPEAKER_03: And he heard our show, he's a big fan of the show, and he said, you know, you guys need your own band, just like Paul Schaefer was for Letterman, you know, we need we need our own band, you know.
- 2:04SPEAKER_03: And he sent us a band.
- 2:06SPEAKER_03: And in fact, Jeff, yeah, this band is so good.
- 2:09SPEAKER_03: They've actually got another song that your brother had them write for us.
- 2:13SPEAKER_03: It's all about our show, Jeff.
- 2:16SPEAKER_03: It's it's just stunning.
- 2:17SPEAKER_02: I have to admit, I did talk to my brother about this a little bit earlier, and I did make a recommendation.
- 2:22SPEAKER_02: I was kind of hoping we'd go with the Partridge family as our in-house band that would represent us because I don't know if you remember, but I met Danny Bonaducci once.
- 2:33SPEAKER_02: He was hitchhiking, yeah, I think through Arizona, and I picked him up and you know, we we were close.
- 2:40SPEAKER_02: I mean, we spent quite a bit of time together over the you know, a couple hours together, and I thought a reunion with Danny would be really good.
- 2:47SPEAKER_03: I think he did talk to the partridge family and he he asked all nine of them.
- 2:52SPEAKER_03: And I think the results he got were dead, dead, can't find, won't do it, can't talk, dead, jail.
- 3:01SPEAKER_03: I don't think we're gonna get them.
- 3:02SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 3:03SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 3:04SPEAKER_03: Well then I'm you know, I'm deferring to him and to you.
- 3:07SPEAKER_03: So I think we should, I mean, we've got a great guest tonight, just the other side of that glass.
- 3:12SPEAKER_03: And we are gonna get to that guest, but I think before we get to the guest, let's play the song that your brother's band created for us.
- 3:23SPEAKER_03: Because it's yeah, it's a song about our podcast, and it's a way of it's a way of marketing our podcast, which is kind of what we're gonna be talking about tonight, Jeff, with this guest.
- 3:32SPEAKER_03: I dang, I hate to spill the beans, so to speak, so early, but we are gonna be talking about marketing our show.
- 3:38SPEAKER_03: And what better way to talk about marketing our show than to have a song that markets our show?
- 3:44SPEAKER_03: Ooh.
- 3:44SPEAKER_03: I think that sounds perfect.
- 3:46SPEAKER_03: Can't wait to hear it.
- 3:47SPEAKER_03: Hey, let's play it.
- 8:06SPEAKER_03: Or something.
- 8:07SPEAKER_03: I just I you know, it just it blew me away.
- 8:10SPEAKER_02: I haven't been this impressed since I heard William Shatner do MacArthur Park.
- 8:14SPEAKER_02: Oh gosh, you know, which was pretty amazing.
- 8:17SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I mean, I don't know that it rises to that level.
- 8:20SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, that's we're talking Olympian here.
- 8:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 8:25SPEAKER_02: Now let me ask you one question though.
- 8:27SPEAKER_02: Is Johnny still going to be a part of the show?
- 8:30SPEAKER_02: Because, you know, I feel like we kind of owe him something, don't we?
- 8:35SPEAKER_03: Well, you know, he still is hanging with my mom.
- 8:38SPEAKER_03: And so I see him all the time, and he's, you know, I think he's hanging over there.
- 8:42SPEAKER_03: He got a bunch of brownies.
- 8:44SPEAKER_03: He when he went out for the brownies, he got like, I don't know, a year's worth of brownies.
- 8:49SPEAKER_03: Those chewy brownies won't be chewy by the time he gets to him.
- 8:53SPEAKER_02: To be honest with you, I really don't give a shit if Johnny's on the show or not.
- 8:56SPEAKER_02: But I am excited to about this guest that you keep speaking of.
- 9:01SPEAKER_03: Oh, Jeff, you should be indeed excited about this guest.
- 9:04SPEAKER_03: Because you know, you know, Jeff, we've been talking about how to market our show, what the best way to to really market our show and get get more listeners.
- 9:13SPEAKER_03: I mean, because we you know, we've got, let's face it, Jeff, we got the millions of listeners that we've got now.
- 9:18SPEAKER_03: But there are more out there.
- 9:19SPEAKER_03: There are billions of people, and some of them don't listen.
- 9:23SPEAKER_03: So we've been looking for somebody that could really help us market.
- 9:26SPEAKER_03: And I was kind of inspired when Musk or VD Jance, uh JD Vance, whatever's uh whoever it was, uh they start firing people right and left, you know, and thought, you know, I bet in there is somebody, I mean, somebody in there in their marketing department was able to sell this administration.
- 9:47SPEAKER_03: So they're probably really good at marketing, you know.
- 9:50SPEAKER_03: So I started thinking, you know, maybe, maybe somebody there can be our marketing director.
- 9:56SPEAKER_03: And, you know, wouldn't you know, Jeff?
- 9:58SPEAKER_03: I found somebody that I think I think is gonna be perfect, but you know, I we're not quite there yet.
- 10:04SPEAKER_03: I just wanted to bring her in for a final interview.
- 10:06SPEAKER_02: And she's I think that's yeah, it's a great idea.
- 10:08SPEAKER_02: And to be honest, we are a bit of a fake, our show.
- 10:11SPEAKER_02: You know, we have a lot of stuff that isn't always exactly real.
- 10:16SPEAKER_02: And who better to manage us than somebody who comes from the the capital of fate?
- 10:23SPEAKER_03: We've got home of fate.
- 10:25SPEAKER_03: They've got the experience, right?
- 10:27SPEAKER_02: They know how to do this.
- 10:28SPEAKER_02: So I'm so excited.
- 10:29SPEAKER_02: I think it's a great idea.
- 10:30SPEAKER_02: Why don't you uh introduce he or she to our show?
- 10:33SPEAKER_03: Let me let me bring her on here.
- 10:34SPEAKER_03: She's just the other side of that glass.
- 10:37SPEAKER_03: I want to introduce you to Ms.
- 10:39SPEAKER_03: Lex Lutheran.
- 10:40SPEAKER_03: Uh welcome to the show, Ms.
- 10:42SPEAKER_03: Lutheran, and thank you for coming in.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: Thank you for having me.
- 10:47SPEAKER_00: I'm so excited to get back to my passion marketing and advertising.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: And just for the record, I love this show.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: Even if you were sent to Mexico for a bit, for you know, being bad people.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: I'm glad it got worked out.
- 11:07SPEAKER_02: We've changed so much since that mistake.
- 11:11SPEAKER_02: We're on the straight and narrow now.
- 11:13SPEAKER_02: You know, we're we're we were we bleed red, white, and blue.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: So I heard you lost your dad's.
- 11:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah, well.
- 11:21SPEAKER_02: Wow, yeah.
- 11:21SPEAKER_03: That was when I started bleeding.
- 11:23SPEAKER_03: That was part of the bleeding.
- 11:25SPEAKER_02: It was part of the bleeding.
- 11:26SPEAKER_03: And that was not I didn't see a lot of white and blue there.
- 11:29SPEAKER_03: We are indeed on the straight and narrow these days.
- 11:32SPEAKER_03: We're mostly on the straight, because we're not so good with the narrow, you know, we got balance issues and all that, but but but I digress.
- 11:41SPEAKER_03: So uh Lex, you have you have a really interesting background.
- 11:44SPEAKER_03: It looks like you've known our king for many, many years, but that's a little surprising because you're still you're still so young.
- 11:51SPEAKER_03: How'd that happen?
- 11:52SPEAKER_03: How'd you happen to know our king?
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: Oh, you know, I have known our uncle Donald, or well, that's what I used to call him.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: I was in my early teens.
- 12:05SPEAKER_00: I was the only American fantastic room.
- 12:15SPEAKER_00: In the arena, I was dressed for the king.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: I was surprised.
- 12:20SPEAKER_00: How nice he was under his wing, so to speak.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: He really couldn't have been more gracious.
- 12:38SPEAKER_02: That sounds like our king to me, you know, as as he always says, the future of this great country is with the children.
- 12:46SPEAKER_03: That is so true, Jeff, and yeah, it is all about the kids, but oh, don't let those kids use C BD oil.
- 12:53SPEAKER_03: Now, an old guy in their dressing room, sure, sure, no problem.
- 12:56SPEAKER_03: But C BD oil, that could lead them to more serious ointments.
- 12:59SPEAKER_03: But but I digress again.
- 13:02SPEAKER_03: Lex, how'd you end up working for our king?
- 13:04SPEAKER_03: I mean, you met him at the beauty pageant, but how how'd you wind up working for him?
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: Well, it it's a funny story.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: Because I'm from an area in this country where all great Americans are Christian and white.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: So I was shocked and horrified when the Socialist Party, I mean Democrats, they wanted to elect Iraq in Obama.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: I remember telling Uncle Donald.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: Like I doubted whether that Obama was a US citizen, which ultimately helped every king take off the birth campaign.
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: So, you know, just a little feather in my cat, something I'm very proud of.
- 13:48SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 13:49SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 13:50SPEAKER_02: Talk about a grassroots campaign.
- 13:52SPEAKER_02: Like you were you really started at the very beginning of all of this.
- 13:57SPEAKER_02: Did he hire you right away after that?
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: Not immediately, but as soon as I filled out, I mean, as soon as I, you know, celebrated my 18th birthday, he brought me on board.
- 14:09SPEAKER_03: Wow, it sounds like you were really a true child prodigy.
- 14:13SPEAKER_03: Uh it sounds like also you're a very important part of our king's success.
- 14:17SPEAKER_03: You know, what other accomplishments can you share with us that you maybe you helped our king advance?
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: Oh, there's just too many to remember all of them, of course.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: But the king often refers to me as his imagination for making, you know, January 6th disappear.
- 14:36SPEAKER_02: So you were involved in that.
- 14:38SPEAKER_02: That is so impressive.
- 14:40SPEAKER_02: I mean, here we all saw this on TV.
- 14:43SPEAKER_02: This is like something you would see in Las Vegas, you know.
- 14:46SPEAKER_02: It's amazing.
- 14:47SPEAKER_02: Who would have thought an event like that that the whole world was watching, and all of a sudden it's gone?
- 14:52SPEAKER_02: You must be so proud.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: And proud of what?
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 14:59SPEAKER_00: It was just like any other day of the year.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: I mean, all the habits are hard to break, but it's like trying to say that tariffs instead of taxes.
- 15:10SPEAKER_00: You know, it takes a little work to break it.
- 15:13SPEAKER_03: Oh, well played, Lex.
- 15:15SPEAKER_03: I can see you are the one to tell the Stephen Jeff story.
- 15:20SPEAKER_03: You know, can you share some of your ideas on how you would promote our show?
- 15:24SPEAKER_03: How would you market us?
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: Well, I guess it all begins with, you know, Antifa and Black Lives Matter.
- 15:32SPEAKER_02: What starts with Anti Titha and Black Lives Matter?
- 15:36SPEAKER_02: My aunt my aunt just drinks too much.
- 15:37SPEAKER_02: She can't, she's not here for marketing.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: There I can go again.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: Forgive me.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: Like I said, all habits are hard to break.
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: What I meant to say is that it all starts with brandy.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: Letting people know what you stand for and what they can expect from you.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: I mean, Steve and Jeff represents everything good in America.
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: And anyone who doesn't listen to our show is what we refer to as the enemy within.
- 16:08SPEAKER_03: Wow.
- 16:10SPEAKER_03: Oh, Lex, I like the way you think.
- 16:13SPEAKER_03: The enema within.
- 16:14SPEAKER_03: Well, that's better than the enema without, I suppose.
- 16:17SPEAKER_03: But so you know, if people choose to listen to, oh, I let's say a former M MMA fighter, comedian, or a couple of sitcom B listers, you know, instead of our show, they're gonna be making a big mistake.
- 16:30SPEAKER_03: Like with the King, with that mistake comes consequences.
- 16:35SPEAKER_03: Hey, maybe they'll be indicted.
- 16:37SPEAKER_03: What do you think?
- 16:37SPEAKER_03: I like it.
- 16:38SPEAKER_03: I like it.
- 16:39SPEAKER_03: You have some experience in that area.
- 16:42SPEAKER_03: We just need to know the good guys from the bad guys.
- 16:45SPEAKER_03: And so, yeah, let's indict the bad guys.
- 16:48SPEAKER_02: I mean, yes, we did sweep the 2024 potty awards, not just because we're good looking, we won it because Steve and I are talented and good looking.
- 16:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so you know, I've heard some of these other podcasters do contests to get people to sign up, but to me, it really takes a special person to understand us and project who we are.
- 17:10SPEAKER_02: It sounds like you might be that person.
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so here's what I have for an idea.
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: I'm thinking of a contest where listeners can simply answer all 500 questions about the seat and show, with the winner being eligible for a live giant, or the winner of that giant will be eligible for another giant.
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: With that winner, could we get a Starbucks gift?
- 17:51SPEAKER_03: My goodness.
- 17:52SPEAKER_03: And just thinking, and with that quiz, after answering 500 questions about the Steve and Jeff show, they'll only need to answer 300 more questions to be able to register to vote.
- 18:02SPEAKER_03: Hey, that's pretty exciting, you know.
- 18:05SPEAKER_03: Now, you know, I some marketing, some people do live appearances, live performances.
- 18:10SPEAKER_03: Do you think we should do that?
- 18:12SPEAKER_03: Should we get involved in doing those live appearances?
- 18:16SPEAKER_00: The more you cannot with your millions of things, the more you're able to grow your audience.
- 18:24SPEAKER_02: Of course, these appearances will be enhanced, you think and Lex, I don't want to dip into something that I'm not an authority on, but is this maybe an opportunity for the survivors of the Partridge family to open up for us, you know, to kind of get out there?
- 18:43SPEAKER_02: I think Danny might be one of the survivors.
- 18:45SPEAKER_02: Well, we could, I mean, we could AI the rest of them, sure.
- 18:48SPEAKER_03: I mean, yeah, without a problem.
- 18:50SPEAKER_03: And you know, hey, if we're gonna use AI for the show, it sounds like if we do this right, we we won't need to show up at all.
- 18:57SPEAKER_03: AI is gonna be a big part of that part of our podcast now, huh?
- 19:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, everything will be AI, including you, your guests, your audience.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's a little technical, but that is why you're hiring me, right?
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: AI, Steve, you guys in real life are hilarious.
- 19:18SPEAKER_00: But AI, Steve, and Jeff are hilarious, even more so.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: So when we add an AI audience, they we know that they will love you, regardless of what you do or say, you know, it really takes the pressure off.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: Like you can say, you can be a little racist, you can you you want to do, you know, some casual, you know, sexism.
- 19:41SPEAKER_00: They'll love it, they'll eat that up.
- 19:43SPEAKER_02: Wow, I can do that.
- 19:45SPEAKER_02: I can do that.
- 19:46SPEAKER_02: Steve, I think we're we're flexible, creative enough to do that.
- 19:49SPEAKER_02: And sure, you know, I'm just legit now, right?
- 19:52SPEAKER_03: It's above board, it's all okay, right?
- 19:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, my only concern is you know, there's so many people out there doing it.
- 19:59SPEAKER_02: But I think we're so good at it that that I think we would be special.
- 20:03SPEAKER_02: And will we still be in contact with the king?
- 20:06SPEAKER_02: Is that is that possible too?
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: Well, I mean, I think you can usually you know late night child.
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: And when I say child, I'm talking about the picture the truth.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: It's always about the child.
- 20:32SPEAKER_03: It is all about the children, yes indeed.
- 20:35SPEAKER_03: Lex, thank you so much for being on our show.
- 20:38SPEAKER_03: You know, Jeff and I, I guess, need to talk about it and kind of finalize things, but I I think it's safe to say, I don't think I'm jumping to conclusions, that I think it's safe to say we are very impressed, and I think we're gonna be seeing you real soon.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: One more thing, Jeff.
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: We can own out your balls.
- 20:56SPEAKER_02: There you go.
- 20:58SPEAKER_02: Awesome.
- 20:59SPEAKER_02: I think that's great.
- 21:00SPEAKER_02: And I I don't want to get hung up on this, but if the Parchis family's not available, the cows.
- 21:06SPEAKER_03: You know, they were just can't find them, jail, dead.
- 21:11SPEAKER_03: We we talked to them too, yeah.
- 21:13SPEAKER_03: Or well, we tried to, let me put it that way.
- 21:15SPEAKER_02: I remember King telling me that the cowsils was one of his favorite shows, you know.
- 21:19SPEAKER_02: The early ones, you know, the ones with when when the kids were still pretty young.
- 21:23SPEAKER_02: When they were little, yeah.
- 21:24SPEAKER_02: When they were little, you know, because they aged out at some point, yeah.
- 21:27SPEAKER_02: A little bit, yeah.
- 21:28SPEAKER_03: So but yes, it was great, and I'm really looking forward to that.
- 21:32SPEAKER_03: Well, I am excited to have somebody to market this show to the uh let's face it, the the other millions that don't listen yet, but could and should and will once they understand what this show is all about, once they get that message.
- 21:47SPEAKER_03: I am so excited.
- 21:48SPEAKER_03: And Jeff, you know, we are just about to get kicked out of eccentric Lady Land Studios again, but this band, I tell you, they're I'm so impressed with this band, they're gonna take us out.
- 21:57SPEAKER_03: I'd usually say Johnny, get us out of this show.
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: No, Johnny, the band is gonna sing us out of the show.
- 22:03SPEAKER_03: Isn't that exciting?
- 22:04SPEAKER_03: Perfect.
- 22:04SPEAKER_03: That's so perfect.
- 22:05SPEAKER_03: All right, take it away, band.
- 22:17SPEAKER_01: Down on the corner neath that flicker sign.
- 22:21SPEAKER_01: Five guys laughing, keep in time.
- 22:25SPEAKER_01: We are the Steven Jeff show bags saying about a little show they play.
- 22:32SPEAKER_01: We're here to help establish their show breath from a kitchen table tree to a whole Steven Jeff on straight.
- 22:56SPEAKER_01: Wow, they try to make standards.
- 23:05SPEAKER_01: This was a standard of the crowd.
