- 0:00Speaker 1: Cleaning out the sound fridge because there was a goat
- 0:02Speaker 1: in there. Huh, it's one more thing, one more thing.
- 0:09Speaker 2: I don't like these nonsensical teases. They leaves me wondering
- 0:14Speaker 2: what's happening.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Goat is in greatest of all time, Tom Brady if
- 0:18Speaker 1: part of cleaning out of sound fridge, not the.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Not the bearded can eating beast.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Oh you know what that reminds me? This is this
- 0:27Speaker 1: is a audible at the line of scrimmage like Tom
- 0:30Speaker 1: Brady himself would make. I wanted you to comment on this,
- 0:34Speaker 1: and we never got to it on the show. Uh
- 0:37Speaker 1: this is uh uh. What's the Brendan woman's name on
- 0:41Speaker 1: Face the Nation? Margaret Margaret Brennan. Boy, is she a
- 0:44Speaker 1: piece of work? Anyway? This is with the dog murdering
- 0:47Speaker 1: Christy home of South Dakota. Dog had it coming in
- 0:51Speaker 1: my world, but anyway, didn't like the way he looked
- 0:54Speaker 1: at me. Hey, it's reality, Katie, wake up and smell
- 0:58Speaker 1: the reality.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Sorry, I'm not a dog.
- 1:01Speaker 1: I'm not either. I just support them anyway. There are
- 1:04Speaker 1: subtleties here, folks. I'm just being broad for the purposes
- 1:07Speaker 1: of humor. But Michael play us thirty five.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Because you put it in a part of a chapter
- 1:14Speaker 3: called bad Day to be a Goat. And then after
- 1:17Speaker 3: you shot the dog, you quote realized another unpleasant job
- 1:21Speaker 3: needed to be done. Walking back up to the yard,
- 1:24Speaker 3: I spotted our billy goat. You said he smelled and
- 1:26Speaker 3: would chase kids, so you took him to the gravel
- 1:29Speaker 3: pit and shot him twice. How do you justify that?
- 1:34Speaker 3: How was the goat a threat? And I'm asking you
- 1:36Speaker 3: this because it seems like you're celebrating the killing of
- 1:39Speaker 3: the animals, not at all.
- 1:41Speaker 4: This has been a story that my political opponents have
- 1:43Speaker 4: tried to use against me for years. It's well known
- 1:46Speaker 4: in South Dakota and it has been to other people.
- 1:49Speaker 4: And I want the truth to be out there and
- 1:51Speaker 4: to understand that these animals were attacking my children, that
- 1:56Speaker 4: we live on a farm in a ranch, and that
- 1:58Speaker 4: tough decisions are made many times and it is to
- 2:01Speaker 4: protect people. And I'll tell you the extremism of other
- 2:05Speaker 4: people and how they have attacked me politically, I understand it.
- 2:08Speaker 4: They're doing the same thing to me that they do
- 2:11Speaker 4: to Donald T.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Everybody not know this since you're newer to the show,
- 2:15Speaker 2: but I have dispatched of quite a few different kinds
- 2:18Speaker 2: of animals living out on farms. I won't get into
- 2:20Speaker 2: all the details many have talked about on the air.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Some I have not because I know how people who
- 2:25Speaker 2: are from urban areas react to this sort of thing.
- 2:28Speaker 2: But particularly with a goat, where do you think what
- 2:31Speaker 2: do you think happens to most goats? Do you think
- 2:33Speaker 2: they mostly die of old age? Do you think that's
- 2:36Speaker 2: where most goats go on a goat retirement hall? I
- 2:39Speaker 2: would like to think so. They get slaughtered for meat,
- 2:42Speaker 2: almost all of them.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Best burger I ever had was a goat burger, by
- 2:46Speaker 1: the way, and.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Being you know, I suppose you could get into the
- 2:50Speaker 2: intricacies of the way they kill goats at rendering plants
- 2:54Speaker 2: versus shooting in the head. I don't even know how
- 2:56Speaker 2: they dispatch a goat, so I've seen cattle dispatched before,
- 2:59Speaker 2: but probably but getting a shot in the head is
- 3:02Speaker 2: not worse than what they're gonna do to the goat
- 3:04Speaker 2: if it goes to the rendering plant.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Right, And the thing I was gonna bring up is,
- 3:07Speaker 1: I know you've dealt with super aggressive goats, and the
- 3:10Speaker 1: idea that how is the goat and roosters.
- 3:12Speaker 2: And dogs and all kinds of animals neighbor anyway, get
- 3:18Speaker 2: behind though the birds men that whole story. I won't
- 3:20Speaker 2: even get that one again.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Yeah, the day the California condor was bothering Michael and
- 3:24Speaker 1: he shot it out of this anyway, back to you,
- 3:29Speaker 1: that's a joke, folks, especially federal agent folks. No, but
- 3:34Speaker 1: a super aggressive billy goat around children is an enormous risk.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Well, yeah, yes, it's true. But it doesn't even need
- 3:45Speaker 2: she doesn't even need to justify it. What we wanted
- 3:47Speaker 2: to eat it? We needed less goats. Is it perfectly
- 3:51Speaker 2: good enough reason we needed less goats? What else are
- 3:54Speaker 2: you gonna do with it? It's quite possible as a male,
- 3:57Speaker 2: as an uncut male, which is why it smelled. So
- 3:59Speaker 2: you probably don't know this either, Katie. Male goats stick
- 4:02Speaker 2: their head between their legs and pee on their face.
- 4:05Speaker 2: That's a fun fact. That's a goat thing, fun goat fact.
- 4:11Speaker 2: So there are a reason, yes, because they want to
- 4:13Speaker 2: make themselves as smelly as possible. It's got something to
- 4:16Speaker 2: do with if I'm smellier than that, dude, it's going
- 4:18Speaker 2: to attract more female goats. But they smell horrible, but
- 4:23Speaker 2: any erisive scent. The fact that she said this was
- 4:25Speaker 2: a smelly goat leads me to believe that it was
- 4:27Speaker 2: a male. So you got an uncut male goat and
- 4:30Speaker 2: you don't need it. You can't freaking give those things away. Honestly,
- 4:34Speaker 2: I know for a fact I've lived in this world.
- 4:37Speaker 2: There are fifty goats at the farm my own right now,
- 4:42Speaker 2: So they're worthless. So what do you think's gonna happen
- 4:44Speaker 2: to it? What are you gonna do with it? Just
- 4:46Speaker 2: you don't need it anymore? Is the reason that people
- 4:48Speaker 2: would dispatch of it.
- 4:50Speaker 1: That's a farm animal.
- 4:51Speaker 2: So I don't know what to tell people. Where do
- 4:53Speaker 2: you think meat comes from?
- 4:56Speaker 1: Animals that volunteered to be on plates? All right, enough
- 5:01Speaker 1: goat murder, let's move on clean out sound for I
- 5:05Speaker 1: was gonna say, thanks metal guys. I was gonna say, like.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Then, writing a book where you put the name of
- 5:12Speaker 2: the chapter bad Day to be a goat, I don't
- 5:14Speaker 2: get that. I mean, what is your what is your
- 5:16Speaker 2: angle that you know what that is? Honestly, that's a
- 5:19Speaker 2: person who spent her entire life around people who understand
- 5:22Speaker 2: what you just said.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Yeah, but and she lacks the imagination or insight or
- 5:28Speaker 1: advisors to understand. Okay, in urban America, suburban America, whatever,
- 5:33Speaker 1: we got to take a really different tone with us.
- 5:36Speaker 1: I know it's silly, but we do.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Like, so, how do you feel about roosters as a
- 5:39Speaker 2: suburban person in your whole life? There, Katie, we had
- 5:41Speaker 2: a rooster jumped on Sam's shoulders when he was like
- 5:44Speaker 2: two years old, started pecking him. I shot that thing
- 5:46Speaker 2: a half hour.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Later, barbaric.
- 5:49Speaker 2: I've heard that roosters can be really mean, so I
- 5:52Speaker 2: I mean, shoot away, Jack. I don't know. I have
- 5:55Speaker 2: zero experience with this. So yeah, well as do most people.
- 5:59Speaker 2: But you know, if you'll be vice president of the
- 6:00Speaker 2: United States, you got to have a better idea of
- 6:02Speaker 2: what things sound like to suburban voters. And the way
- 6:05Speaker 2: Margaret Brennan laid it out there made it sound like
- 6:07Speaker 2: she went on a rampage.
- 6:09Speaker 1: You know.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Oh, you shot the dog, then you took the goat
- 6:12Speaker 2: to the gravel pit, you.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Know, like you know, honestly, Katie, I got to admit
- 6:16Speaker 1: I kind of got the feeling that Margaret had her suerve.
- 6:19Speaker 1: She was kind of felt like she had momentum, you know,
- 6:22Speaker 1: got a little blood loss going, all right, what else
- 6:24Speaker 1: around here needs to die?
- 6:26Speaker 2: She got all warmed up.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Got a little feel of that to me.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, yeah, well you might actually do it that
- 6:32Speaker 2: way because you just don't bring out the gun all
- 6:34Speaker 2: the time. So you've got a couple of animals now
- 6:36Speaker 2: that need to go. You might do it the same afternoon.
- 6:38Speaker 1: You know what, You're right because you don't particularly want to.
- 6:42Speaker 1: It's not an easy thing to do, and you'd think,
- 6:44Speaker 1: all right, I've gotten over the revulsion, let's get it done.
- 6:47Speaker 1: All right, you know what? I sit corrected. I apologize
- 6:50Speaker 1: to rural America for my stupid, soft, suburban lack of
- 6:56Speaker 1: the reality. Now, can we move on to the jokes
- 7:00Speaker 1: unless there's I don't know, a.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Cat you would like to No, no, no, no, no
- 7:04Speaker 2: no no, no, all right, super let's do h But
- 7:08Speaker 2: it's okay, And now I'm back to this.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Uh oh, I don't did she say.
- 7:11Speaker 2: This on the air?
- 7:12Speaker 5: Not?
- 7:12Speaker 2: In case she didn't say it on the air, I
- 7:14Speaker 2: won't specify who, but we had a guest who grew
- 7:17Speaker 2: up in China. I think she did, just in case
- 7:20Speaker 2: she did, not momentary, but we had a guest who
- 7:22Speaker 2: grew up in China, back in the day when it
- 7:25Speaker 2: was mostly really poor and they didn't get to eat
- 7:28Speaker 2: all the time, and there were straight cats all over
- 7:31Speaker 2: the place, so they go. She would grab a straight cat,
- 7:34Speaker 2: put it in a bucket of water, and put the
- 7:36Speaker 2: lid on it till it was drowned, and then they
- 7:39Speaker 2: would eat the cat. That struck me as pretty rough,
- 7:44Speaker 2: even though I've grown up with more of a realistic
- 7:47Speaker 2: about animal's lifestyle. But imagine that compared to the way
- 7:51Speaker 2: Margaret Brennan and others are reacting to the shooting the goat.
- 7:55Speaker 2: I mean, that's I'm not saying it's good, but it's
- 7:57Speaker 2: just different ways you grew up the reality's of life.
- 8:01Speaker 1: You know what. I remember the night I'd meant to
- 8:04Speaker 1: read my kids The catt and I accidentally read them
- 8:09Speaker 1: the Cat in the Bucket.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Oh story, it's very different. And that's why they're on
- 8:13Speaker 2: the couch every night talking to a therapist. I mean,
- 8:19Speaker 2: I was shocked by that story. Here's this woman talking
- 8:22Speaker 2: about when she was a kid, she'd go grab a cat,
- 8:24Speaker 2: putt in a bucket, and put a lid on it.
- 8:25Speaker 2: I mean, that's rough. That's desperation, though and you're starving.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, it reminds me of I used to talk
- 8:32Speaker 1: about this a lot. There's like a continuum, a spectrum
- 8:35Speaker 1: from uh, necessity to nicety. There's like you are a
- 8:41Speaker 1: moment from death and you do whatever it takes to
- 8:44Speaker 1: stave off death. Then you move into your poor you're
- 8:47Speaker 1: in a poor society, you're in an okay society, and
- 8:50Speaker 1: then you're a very very rich person in a rich society.
- 8:54Speaker 1: And the only thing you need to worry about is
- 8:55Speaker 1: that last tenth of a percent of nicety, of fanciness
- 8:59Speaker 1: or culture or whatever. And so much a human life,
- 9:03Speaker 1: where you are on that spectrum determines what you do
- 9:07Speaker 1: and why you do it.
- 9:08Speaker 2: But Margaret Brennan and others made it seem like Christy
- 9:11Speaker 2: Nome shoots animals because you know, I was having a
- 9:13Speaker 2: bad day, and you know what makes me feel good
- 9:14Speaker 2: ending life?
- 9:15Speaker 1: It just does right right, Like she went into some
- 9:18Speaker 1: suburban backyard and gun down a golden retriever. Oh God,
- 9:24Speaker 1: after the neighbors pets. All right, right, I don't like
- 9:27Speaker 1: that one either, k Bluie, That's not what occurred.
- 9:31Speaker 2: I'm gonna have to read Cat in a bucket.
- 9:33Speaker 1: O sing one and thing two. It's just it's just terrible.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Oh boy, oh boy. Do we want to play a
- 9:43Speaker 1: couple of these jokes? That was the original plan? Yeah,
- 9:47Speaker 1: all right, go ahead with two. Michael.
- 9:48Speaker 5: President Trump, for the first time in his trial, wrote
- 9:51Speaker 5: a message on a yellow post a note and handed
- 9:53Speaker 5: it to his lawyer while he was making an argument.
- 9:56Speaker 5: The post it read, simply can't pay you.
- 10:02Speaker 1: That's jo If you know Trump's history is a developer.
- 10:04Speaker 1: That's a pretty good joke. All right, let's do number five.
- 10:09Speaker 5: An eleven day cruise is being offered next year from
- 10:11Speaker 5: Miami to the Caribbean in which passengers will be nude.
- 10:14Speaker 5: The cruise will offer pickleball, cornhole and also games.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Play that one on the air. Yeah, that's rough, speaking
- 10:27Speaker 1: of things probably shouldn't be aired. Six.
- 10:30Speaker 5: A new a new report chronicles a disorder called sexsomnia,
- 10:33Speaker 5: in which people try to have sex while they're asleep.
- 10:36Speaker 5: The report was written by someone named Phil Fosby.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Pretty cool, that's what's that reference to Bill Cosby?
- 10:50Speaker 5: Oh?
- 10:50Speaker 1: Got it, got it, Phil Fosby. Sorry, did they show
- 10:55Speaker 1: a picture? That's yeah? Okay, any nose and glasses. It's
- 10:58Speaker 1: like you usually get jokes. I get it.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Usually I get jokes that's good.
- 11:04Speaker 1: And this is you just want to hit ten and
- 11:06Speaker 1: then call it good. This is just interesting. Ah, Michael,
- 11:10Speaker 1: anything we need to know about this one?
- 11:11Speaker 2: No, I just didn't know about this.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Okay.
- 11:13Speaker 6: A lot of employers are using AI to scan resumes
- 11:16Speaker 6: before they even read them. The problem there is that
- 11:19Speaker 6: AI will say you're not a good fit if the
- 11:21Speaker 6: formatting is an AI friendly. Sorry, I don't know how
- 11:23Speaker 6: to make a resume AI friendly. Step one, you're going
- 11:26Speaker 6: to highlight the entire job description and you are going
- 11:28Speaker 6: to copy it then paste it onto your resume. Then
- 11:31Speaker 6: you're going to make that text super tiny and in
- 11:34Speaker 6: white ink, so it's not visible to the human eye,
- 11:37Speaker 6: but to AI it still sees it and it reads
- 11:40Speaker 6: every keyword that is there, so your resume looks like
- 11:43Speaker 6: it's a great fit.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Interesting.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Okay, Wow, that plucky young lady's got some good advice.
- 11:50Speaker 2: So all the who's and whovill marched to the gravel
- 11:53Speaker 2: pit what they had going wah? Alright, Well, I guess
- 12:03Speaker 2: that's it.
