- 0:03Speaker 1: We have the Housewives, Meredith Marx and Alexia Napola joining
- 0:07Speaker 1: US Live this morning.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Yeah, so, Meredith, The Housewives of Salt Lake City is
- 0:12Speaker 2: airing in just over a month, right, and it's recently
- 0:15Speaker 2: come out that two of your castmates have recently gotten divorced.
- 0:20Speaker 3: No, no, I don't think any divorced. I think it's
- 0:22Speaker 3: all separation unless.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Unaware of is it true? Is it the same thing
- 0:28Speaker 2: in Australia you have to be separated for a year
- 0:31Speaker 2: and then you can get divorced. Does that happen in America?
- 0:33Speaker 4: Now you can get divorced.
- 0:35Speaker 2: You can get divorced straight away like a day.
- 0:37Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, look at me, We've got divorced pretty quick.
- 0:40Speaker 2: So that makes more sense. In Australia, there's this measure
- 0:43Speaker 2: in place where you have to legally be separated for
- 0:47Speaker 2: an entire year.
- 0:48Speaker 5: Well, I think that that's a good idea. I think
- 0:50Speaker 5: it kind of pushes things back and you have some
- 0:52Speaker 5: time to reflect, yes, and see whether this is the
- 0:55Speaker 5: right decision or not.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Actually like it? Yeah, it does make sense.
- 0:59Speaker 1: But if you really know you're, like God, I am
- 1:01Speaker 1: over these marriage You've got to.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Do anything that you won't realize it as a divorce
- 1:06Speaker 2: for twelve months.
- 1:07Speaker 5: But I feel like there's legal separations in the US.
- 1:09Speaker 5: In certain states there are legal separations, but I think
- 1:12Speaker 5: they have more to do with like finances against Yes.
- 1:15Speaker 2: But obviously your castmates have had a lot to say
- 1:18Speaker 2: about your marriage. Do you feel a little bit good
- 1:21Speaker 2: about the fact that they are now split and you
- 1:24Speaker 2: guys are together.
- 1:25Speaker 4: No, I don't feel good about anyone but smug.
- 1:30Speaker 3: No, It's more like it just was more in my brain, Like, Okay,
- 1:35Speaker 3: I didn't know why everyone kept saying things and coming
- 1:38Speaker 3: after me for things that just weren't true, And now
- 1:40Speaker 3: I realized it's just a projection, and so in some
- 1:43Speaker 3: level it makes it a little easier for me to
- 1:45Speaker 3: accept what.
- 1:46Speaker 4: Happened, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Yes, of course, but you know, but I hope whatever
- 1:52Speaker 3: they end up doing, whether they divorce, stay separated, reconnect, whatever,
- 1:58Speaker 3: hope they find happiness. Yeah, whatever works, Like you know,
- 2:04Speaker 3: I don't. I don't wish any even the ones I
- 2:08Speaker 3: don't like.
- 2:09Speaker 5: It's really hard being married on these shows. I can
- 2:12Speaker 5: imagine a man like you and Seth and all the
- 2:15Speaker 5: other housewives that make it. You know, I really don't
- 2:17Speaker 5: believe that the show is a cause of their divorce.
- 2:21Speaker 5: I know it's easy, you know, to blame the show
- 2:24Speaker 5: and to bring Bravo and to blame and need to
- 2:26Speaker 5: blame everyone, but it's actually not true. I feel like
- 2:29Speaker 5: there were already problems there.
- 2:30Speaker 3: You see, the show makes you look into those things
- 2:35Speaker 3: because it depends on how you embrace into.
- 2:37Speaker 5: It, and it makes you better corres like Ton and
- 2:39Speaker 5: I what happened to us? Like mad? Sure, relationship better.
- 2:43Speaker 3: If you get like self reflection onto the show and
- 2:45Speaker 3: you use it to say, like, oh that's how my
- 2:48Speaker 3: communications interpret it or whatever it may be, it can
- 2:52Speaker 3: really help a relationship. But it also if there are
- 2:55Speaker 3: certain cracks or whatever, it can exacerbate them too. So
- 2:58Speaker 3: it depends on how you receive what's going on in
- 3:01Speaker 3: the whole process.
- 3:02Speaker 5: And you know, remember the guys really don't sign up
- 3:04Speaker 5: to do these shows not to support us.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Right, So how did that conversation go? And even both
- 3:08Speaker 1: of you deciding to go on a show like this
- 3:11Speaker 1: would have been a big call, you know, what it
- 3:13Speaker 1: could do to your life or your relationships, Like what
- 3:15Speaker 1: you think?
- 3:16Speaker 4: I fully understood.
- 3:17Speaker 5: That I was with my second husband and I you know,
- 3:22Speaker 5: we didn't know that either. He never. I don't think
- 3:24Speaker 5: like a real smart business matter is going to say, yeah, babe.
- 3:27Speaker 1: I support you.
- 3:27Speaker 5: I wanted to do this show. It's going to be
- 3:29Speaker 5: great for us. I don't think any man, yeah, we'll
- 3:31Speaker 5: do that. But when we signed up, which was earlier
- 3:33Speaker 5: than you, this was in twenty ten, you know, there
- 3:36Speaker 5: was no social media and there saw it called changed
- 3:39Speaker 5: the whole world of Housewives on.
- 3:40Speaker 1: So would you do it all again?
- 3:43Speaker 4: I would?
- 3:43Speaker 3: But I also had no clue about the social media
- 3:46Speaker 3: aspect of it. Like I was on social but I
- 3:49Speaker 3: didn't know there were like housewives accounts and things like that.
- 3:52Speaker 2: I say, do they do when you'd go on like
- 3:54Speaker 2: a shows in Australia reality shows they actually take your
- 3:57Speaker 2: phones off? Do they do that when they're filming Housewives?
- 4:01Speaker 4: Everythings have changed a lot.
- 4:02Speaker 5: We have a lot more freedom today than we did
- 4:04Speaker 5: like eighteen years ago when the new show started.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Yeah, well, look people love it and you are here.
- 4:10Speaker 1: There is going to be a fan fest, so I'll
- 4:11Speaker 1: tell you about that. Meredith Marks, Alexi Nopola are here
