- 0:00Speaker 1: Want more Treehouse, check out our YouTube exclusive shows at
- 0:02Speaker 1: YouTube dot com slash at Treehouse on air.
- 0:09Speaker 2: It is time to believe your worries outside and laugh
- 0:13Speaker 2: with us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley along with
- 0:17Speaker 2: Tredy Trenholm and Raj Sharma. In a weekend that was
- 0:23Speaker 2: filled with tons, tons of newsworthy content, I'm choosing positivity
- 0:32Speaker 2: today and that is pre solo star Alec Honald successfully
- 0:39Speaker 2: climbed to tiepay one pH one on Saturday, and he
- 0:45Speaker 2: did it an hour less than what he originally thought
- 0:49Speaker 2: he would be able to do it. Uh So I'd
- 0:54Speaker 2: like to thank him for offering a brief distraction through
- 0:59Speaker 2: a weekend there was very foggy, and also for delivering
- 1:04Speaker 2: on some cut wrenching video get I just I couldn't
- 1:09Speaker 2: watch it all. Oh got the videos and the stuff
- 1:12Speaker 2: that dropped from Netflix. I didn't even bother trying to
- 1:15Speaker 2: watch it on Netflix, because one was by the time
- 1:18Speaker 2: that thing started airing, and by the time he may
- 1:21Speaker 2: or may not have gotten to the top, I would
- 1:23Speaker 2: have been asleep. I'm in a different time zone. But
- 1:25Speaker 2: I did watch plenty of eclipse and just seeing the
- 1:27Speaker 2: backdrop of the Earth beneath him as he scaled that
- 1:32Speaker 2: skyscraper with no ropes, no tethers, no safety equipment, no harness,
- 1:38Speaker 2: and no parachute. I thought, at the very least that
- 1:42Speaker 2: man would have a parachute on his back just in case. Nope,
- 1:45Speaker 2: it was just him, his shoes and a chalk bag.
- 1:49Speaker 1: I actually watched it.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Oh how at.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Times I had to turn away, and then.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Mad of I asked this real quick? Is it bad
- 2:01Speaker 2: to say that I would have an easier time watching
- 2:05Speaker 2: him fall off that tower and hit the ground than
- 2:08Speaker 2: just watching him climb it.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Only reason it's just quicker. Yeah, but no, it was. Yeah.
- 2:18Speaker 1: It was gut wrenching at times, just at different angles
- 2:21Speaker 1: and everything else. And the thing that really is they
- 2:27Speaker 1: were allowing people on certain levels. So you know, he's
- 2:30Speaker 1: climbing up this building and all of a sudden you've
- 2:33Speaker 1: got a throng of people taking pictures and everything else.
- 2:35Speaker 1: I'm like, is that really the best idea? Yeah?
- 2:38Speaker 2: That doesn't seem nice. It's like, if you're going to
- 2:40Speaker 2: do that, you know that sign they put up in
- 2:42Speaker 2: places no flash photography. Can we can we enforce that, please?
- 2:46Speaker 2: Because let's not blind the man climbing sixteen hundred feet
- 2:51Speaker 2: in the air.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Well, and then then you looked. You know, there were
- 2:55Speaker 1: sometimes where all of a sudden, you know, a gust
- 2:57Speaker 1: of wind and his shirt would go one way, and
- 2:59Speaker 1: you're like, oh.
- 3:01Speaker 3: But there's also one moment where he well, when he
- 3:04Speaker 3: was climbing, like he adjusted his legs so he could
- 3:07Speaker 3: get back into his like lean back and to get
- 3:11Speaker 3: to his chalk. Oh, I had this color They have
- 3:14Speaker 3: color commentary going on. They're like, oh, no, I'm like,
- 3:19Speaker 3: let's not do that.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Look. I don't take my heart very often, but I
- 3:24Speaker 2: really think they should have had me do the color
- 3:26Speaker 2: commentary on that because I saw that clip where it's
- 3:31Speaker 2: just his right leg hanging on the way that we
- 3:33Speaker 2: did monkey bars in elementary school on the playground. Yeah,
- 3:37Speaker 2: that's exactly right, And I would have just thrown up
- 3:39Speaker 2: right then. I mean it would have been the greatest,
- 3:41Speaker 2: most terrible color commentary in the history of broadcasting, but
- 3:44Speaker 2: it would have been authentic.
- 3:46Speaker 3: But when he got to the top, did anybody notice,
- 3:48Speaker 3: Like when he was like yay and everybody's cheering, where
- 3:51Speaker 3: do you go?
- 3:53Speaker 2: There's that's an important question. And my wife said the
- 3:58Speaker 2: same thing. He's like, so how how does he get down? Like,
- 4:02Speaker 2: I don't know, jump like.
- 4:04Speaker 1: They So they had a harness up there for him
- 4:09Speaker 1: that he could put on and then basically repel down
- 4:11Speaker 1: to the first which, like the the there was an
- 4:15Speaker 1: observation deck, not like at the base of the of
- 4:18Speaker 1: the a spire or whatever you want to call it,
- 4:20Speaker 1: at the top of the building. So but yeah, I
- 4:24Speaker 1: wanted the same thing. I'm like, hell the fuck does
- 4:26Speaker 1: he get down.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Back the way you came?
- 4:30Speaker 1: Bro?
- 4:30Speaker 3: Yeah, just to me, like I just know me, Like
- 4:35Speaker 3: I wouldn't have thought it out. I would have gotten
- 4:38Speaker 3: to the top and be like, yeah, fuck.
- 4:43Speaker 2: I do I've forgotten something.
- 4:46Speaker 3: The down part, oh man, that's.
- 4:49Speaker 2: The part they never think about. That's the part that
- 4:50Speaker 2: people never think about when they go hiking. You're like, oh,
- 4:53Speaker 2: I went on this beautiful up going on this beautiful hike.
- 4:56Speaker 2: It's going to be four miles to get to this
- 4:58Speaker 2: beautiful overlook and blah blah. And I'm the person that
- 5:01Speaker 2: asked how long is that going to take you? And
- 5:04Speaker 2: how are you getting back? Because like you go, the
- 5:08Speaker 2: idea is supposed to be that you calm back, have
- 5:10Speaker 2: you thought that far ahead?
- 5:11Speaker 1: Well, it's like I think it's like eighty five or
- 5:14Speaker 1: ninety percent of people that dian everest it's on the
- 5:16Speaker 1: way down.
- 5:18Speaker 2: It's they're spent by the time they get to the top.
- 5:22Speaker 2: They hadn't thought about the return trip. You need to
- 5:25Speaker 2: plan for these things.
- 5:26Speaker 3: That's why the sherpas get their money up top. So
- 5:31Speaker 3: I'll get you back down. Can we cash this out
- 5:34Speaker 3: right now?
- 5:35Speaker 2: Yeah, you're gonna venmo me as we hit the you
- 5:38Speaker 2: the top. And I thought the same thing seeing all
- 5:42Speaker 2: the different clips, all the different video on social media
- 5:46Speaker 2: of him making this climb up this skyscraper, the type
- 5:50Speaker 2: one oh one, and when he gets to the very
- 5:52Speaker 2: tippy top, as he's holding that little antenna thing whatever
- 5:56Speaker 2: it is at the very top. My also sort of like,
- 6:01Speaker 2: oh no, what if morbidity crept in, which is what
- 6:04Speaker 2: a great accomplishment, but what happened? But just imagine if
- 6:07Speaker 2: he just happened to get hit by a bird. It
- 6:12Speaker 2: is look at the great uma.
- 6:14Speaker 3: I can't tell you how much money I would pay
- 6:23Speaker 3: to see that happen. I know.
- 6:28Speaker 2: That's why I said my morbidity, and also because my
- 6:31Speaker 2: dark humor would be like that'd be really really like yes.
- 6:36Speaker 3: And then just a fucking goose flies in the face.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Oh sorry.
- 6:40Speaker 1: And then.
- 6:46Speaker 3: And then he was talking about how much he got
- 6:49Speaker 3: paid for it, and he's like, it's not near enough.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I believe. I believe. The quote that he gave
- 6:55Speaker 2: was it was an embarrassing amount. And when I first
- 6:57Speaker 2: saw that headline, I thought that he was like, Oh
- 7:01Speaker 2: my god, people are going to pay me like this
- 7:03Speaker 2: embarrassingly large amount of money to climb this tower. And
- 7:08Speaker 2: turns out it was the opposite. He hasn't come out
- 7:10Speaker 2: and said how much he got paid.
- 7:12Speaker 3: He did.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Not according to the last thing I saw, how much
- 7:16Speaker 2: did you see he got paid?
- 7:17Speaker 3: He didn't say the exact number, but mid six figures.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Okay, that was one report I had heard. According to
- 7:23Speaker 2: this story on the New York Post published on the
- 7:26Speaker 2: twenty sixth, he said it was an embarrassing amount, but
- 7:31Speaker 2: not in the high dollar amount. He was basically saying
- 7:35Speaker 2: that it wasn't very much. But near the end of
- 7:39Speaker 2: the article, I'm fascinated by what he said about the
- 7:43Speaker 2: pay for it, because let's see where did it go?
- 7:48Speaker 1: Just as did either one of y'all actually watch Free Solo? No, okay,
- 7:55Speaker 1: something people need to realize about him and what I
- 7:57Speaker 1: say of people that questioned about like whether he has
- 8:01Speaker 1: aspergers or not his father did, he is very like
- 8:07Speaker 1: the whole one of the things about Free Solo is
- 8:09Speaker 1: like he it's kind of covers the beginning relationship with
- 8:13Speaker 1: his wife, and she talks about how he doesn't even
- 8:16Speaker 1: really know how to express like no one in his
- 8:19Speaker 1: family ever said I love you.
- 8:23Speaker 2: So he's Indian, after me Indian.
- 8:30Speaker 1: She literally had to teach him how to like process emotion.
- 8:35Speaker 1: So I don't know if people realize that. So that
- 8:39Speaker 1: makes me if he said embarrassing amount, it could go
- 8:43Speaker 1: either way for him because at one point in his life,
- 8:45Speaker 1: you know, I mean, he's made a very good living
- 8:47Speaker 1: doing this. But yeah, the whole thing about Free Solo
- 8:50Speaker 1: is it's I mean, he at the time it started,
- 8:54Speaker 1: he was living in a van. Yeah, by his own choice.
- 8:58Speaker 3: He said he would have done it with no paycheck.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:01Speaker 2: And this is the part that's fascinating to me because
- 9:03Speaker 2: he's kind of throwing shade at how much Netflix paid
- 9:07Speaker 2: him to climb the skyscraper by comparing it to no
- 9:11Speaker 2: name major League Baseball players who will make one hundred
- 9:14Speaker 2: and seventy million dollars on one contract. He's a known
- 9:19Speaker 2: person and didn't make any work close to that for
- 9:21Speaker 2: this one climb. That being said, he does say that
- 9:25Speaker 2: it was in the mid six figures. He also said
- 9:31Speaker 2: that regardless of the payday, he would have gladly completed
- 9:35Speaker 2: the death defying feat for free as long as the
- 9:38Speaker 2: building gave him permission. He said, if there was no
- 9:41Speaker 2: TV program and the building gave me permission to go
- 9:44Speaker 2: do the thing, I would I would do the thing
- 9:47Speaker 2: because I know I can, and it'd be amazing. So
- 9:49Speaker 2: while he's great at climbing, he sucks it negotiating.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Well the other thing. So after we watched that, Brandy
- 9:59Speaker 1: and I went back and watch Free Solo and then
- 10:04Speaker 1: you realize, like that building was easy compared to what
- 10:10Speaker 1: he does in the in the documentary, which is El Capitan,
- 10:13Speaker 1: which is three thousand feet and it's rock. I mean,
- 10:16Speaker 1: it's like, you know, they're looking at you know, it's like, oh,
- 10:20Speaker 1: I have to go here and hook my thumb and
- 10:23Speaker 1: index finger and hang on and then do a karate
- 10:26Speaker 1: kick over here to this. I mean, whereas that building
- 10:30Speaker 1: is all basically uniform in its you know, structure and
- 10:34Speaker 1: everything else, So not near as hard as doing El Capitan.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I saw one person put it into wonderful perspective,
- 10:43Speaker 2: which is for people that were taking like people that
- 10:48Speaker 2: were taking bets that he would fall off the skyscraper
- 10:52Speaker 2: clearly have no idea, no perspective on how difficult to
- 10:56Speaker 2: climb El Capy ten is, because, like you said, Trey,
- 11:00Speaker 2: that's a thirty seven hundred sheer foot cliff. No, no, sorry,
- 11:06Speaker 2: that's different one. He's best known for his ropeless record
- 11:09Speaker 2: setting ascent of Yosemite's El Capy ten, and in twenty
- 11:12Speaker 2: twenty two, he became the first to scale a three
- 11:15Speaker 2: thy seven hundred and fifty foot sheer cliff in Greenland
- 11:19Speaker 2: with climber Hazel Finley. So climbing. So the person put
- 11:23Speaker 2: in respected by saying he climbed El Capy ten with
- 11:26Speaker 2: no ropes, no harnesses, no nothing. This is easy by comparison.
- 11:31Speaker 2: And when I saw the video that one of his
- 11:33Speaker 2: friends had taken, he had told to meet me on
- 11:36Speaker 2: the eighty ninth floor, and that's one of the videos
- 11:38Speaker 2: you see of all these people inside with their cell
- 11:42Speaker 2: phones going like, oh my god, look at this crazy
- 11:44Speaker 2: white guy, and you see him, it really does almost
- 11:47Speaker 2: look like this building was built for him to climb.
- 11:50Speaker 2: It's like your hands here, hand here, like herefoot here, McMahon.
- 11:54Speaker 2: And then the most astonishing thing might be that he
- 11:57Speaker 2: made it look easy. And it makes sense. It's like
- 12:00Speaker 2: when you're used to, you know, going up sheer cliffs.
- 12:03Speaker 2: A building with footholds that and handholds that have an
- 12:07Speaker 2: inch of something to grab onto is a lot by comparison.
- 12:13Speaker 2: And then seeing all the people in the building watching
- 12:17Speaker 2: him do this is one thing. But his wife was
- 12:21Speaker 2: on the sixtieth floor watching him, and I couldn't help
- 12:24Speaker 2: but wonder perhaps maybe in his mind when he sees
- 12:28Speaker 2: her as he's halfway up this building, does the thought
- 12:31Speaker 2: cross his mind of oh no, what did I do?
- 12:35Speaker 2: Did I forget something? Did I forget to take out
- 12:37Speaker 2: the trash? Oh? God, am I in trouble? Please don't
- 12:40Speaker 2: get mad at me in front of everybody.
- 12:42Speaker 3: I would just love for her to swing the window
- 12:44Speaker 3: open and be like Life Insurance, cash.
- 12:49Speaker 2: It in, bitch, I'm just getting a brand new van.
- 12:58Speaker 1: And then every time he would reach a certain level,
- 13:01Speaker 1: like he would just stand on the ledge and then
- 13:03Speaker 1: turn around like l Duncan was hosting it. And then
- 13:06Speaker 1: it was seth Rawlins shameless Netflix. You know WWE plug
- 13:12Speaker 1: head because they asked yo seth Rawlins. Obviously they didn't
- 13:17Speaker 1: know him or anything else. He was just there to
- 13:20Speaker 1: because they got a lot of money invested in WWE.
- 13:23Speaker 1: But I mean he would just turn around. He's standing
- 13:25Speaker 1: on just the ledge a turnaround, looked down. Oh yeah,
- 13:29Speaker 1: I could see you guys, hey, because he had obviously
- 13:32Speaker 1: had an ear pce in and they're talking to him. No,
- 13:35Speaker 1: that's that's where I would have been, like, you know,
- 13:39Speaker 1: get all the way up there and then turn around.
- 13:41Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I'm the guy that even if even if
- 13:46Speaker 4: by some sheer miracle like I would have had to
- 13:48Speaker 4: have found a genie in a bottle inside of Mephistopheles
- 13:52Speaker 4: hanging out with Jesus and God themselves for me to
- 13:56Speaker 4: be able to even come near climbing to the top
- 13:58Speaker 4: of that skyscraper.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Reality is, if you stick me on top of that
- 14:02Speaker 2: skyscraper just standing there, I would fall off and die.
- 14:09Speaker 2: I wouldn't be able to balance just standing on top
- 14:11Speaker 2: of that thing.
- 14:14Speaker 3: I would just go to the ground and just hug
- 14:16Speaker 3: the dome that he was standing on. And if you
- 14:18Speaker 3: want to also, if you want to need more money,
- 14:21Speaker 3: change your name to Han. Just just be Han Solo,
- 14:25Speaker 3: like i'd watched that. Oh and by the.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Way, one of the things I had completely forgotten about
- 14:30Speaker 1: Hope and Free Solo is at one point when he
- 14:34Speaker 1: at first starts dating his wife like she's supposed to
- 14:37Speaker 1: be watching his rope and gets distracted and he falls
- 14:40Speaker 1: and like breaks at cracks a vertebra.
- 14:44Speaker 2: So let me get this direct.
- 14:46Speaker 3: That's love.
- 14:46Speaker 2: He made a life and a career out of climbing
- 14:50Speaker 2: things without any harnesses and any support whatsoever. The moment
- 14:55Speaker 2: he involves a woman, he falls and breaks his back.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Well, when they're training, like when he was training for
- 15:02Speaker 1: El Capitan, he has ropes like he's on a harness
- 15:06Speaker 1: system and everything else. But yeah, the first time he
- 15:08Speaker 1: trusts somebody, he's like, yeah, watch my rope.
- 15:12Speaker 3: That's how That's what women will do to you. It's like,
- 15:14Speaker 3: you know what, I'm gonna climb this thing with a
- 15:16Speaker 3: rope and you fall because she's distracted, Like you know what,
- 15:19Speaker 3: fuck this, I'll just go ropeless.
- 15:25Speaker 2: When you trust yourself more.
- 15:33Speaker 1: You're in the Treehouse.
- 15:38Speaker 5: Listen us online Treehouse on air dot com.
- 15:42Speaker 1: When gravity is more forgiving, you've got a problem.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Let's get Daniel Cook from Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration
- 15:54Speaker 2: into the Treehouse for your free roof inspection and free
- 15:58Speaker 2: property review. Call the Man three three cook DFW or
- 16:01Speaker 2: the website COOKDFW dot com. Daniel. Storm season is fast
- 16:06Speaker 2: approaching and like most storms, it'll be here before you
- 16:10Speaker 2: know it. What's something that we can do to get prepared.
- 16:14Speaker 5: Dan, you're a one hundred percent right before you know, we're
- 16:16Speaker 5: gonna be here at the end of February going into March,
- 16:18Speaker 5: and that's where we start getting our thunderstorms and heavy
- 16:21Speaker 5: wind events.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Uh.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Sometimes we have some hail.
- 16:25Speaker 5: Unfortunate, some areas get some tornadoes and some of those
- 16:27Speaker 5: things you just can't prepare for unfortunately. But you know,
- 16:30Speaker 5: majority of the time you always hear about trampolines getting
- 16:32Speaker 5: blown out of people's yards, patio furniture.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Toys, different things like that.
- 16:38Speaker 5: So make sure your yard is you know, if things
- 16:41Speaker 5: go into your yard and they're not gonna be moved.
- 16:43Speaker 5: They make great steaks to put around those trampoline, you know,
- 16:47Speaker 5: feet on the trampoline, the posts that make some stakes
- 16:49Speaker 5: that you need.
- 16:50Speaker 1: To add to those.
- 16:51Speaker 5: Uh, if you have lawn equipment or pull equip up,
- 16:54Speaker 5: you know, chairs, things like that. You probably need to
- 16:57Speaker 5: fold those up if you know you're gonna have some
- 16:59Speaker 5: high through and set them into a storage area somewhere.
- 17:04Speaker 5: The main thing that people forget is all of these
- 17:05Speaker 5: items are projectiles. So when you get seventy and eighty
- 17:08Speaker 5: miles winds coming through your backyard, that's going to cause
- 17:11Speaker 5: some major damage to those items, and if they hit
- 17:14Speaker 5: your windows. I saw a trampoline fly all the way
- 17:17Speaker 5: up and damage a person's roof two years ago. Trampoline
- 17:20Speaker 5: land That was like, I don't know, eighteen feet up
- 17:23Speaker 5: on the roof. You're talking about an eight foot circumference
- 17:26Speaker 5: trampoline flying all the way up there and denting the
- 17:30Speaker 5: roof and causing rain to get into the roof. Then,
- 17:32Speaker 5: so winds are damaging, windows might get blown out. You know,
- 17:37Speaker 5: there's so many things that you have to be prepared for,
- 17:39Speaker 5: and you just you know, you got to do the
- 17:41Speaker 5: best you can. Some things you can prepare for you can't.
- 17:44Speaker 5: But that's a list of everything I've seen in the
- 17:46Speaker 5: field lately.
- 17:47Speaker 2: And one of the things you can do to help

- 19:13Speaker 2: and the fact that she got distracted and dropped him
- 19:21Speaker 2: it was I wouldn't I would think that would give
- 19:23Speaker 2: me pause about the future of the relationship.
- 19:28Speaker 3: He started this at a work retreat.
- 19:36Speaker 1: If she literally doesn't know where the rope ends figuratively,
- 19:40Speaker 1: you're screwed.
- 19:43Speaker 3: How fast did he want to get out of that relationship?
- 19:45Speaker 3: Was like, fuck it, I'll climb this wall.
- 19:50Speaker 2: It's safer for me to climb than it is for
- 19:53Speaker 2: me to stay here.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Well, no, it's in the documentary. She's basically like, we
- 19:58Speaker 1: can get through this. Oh, and clearly they did. But yeah,
- 20:08Speaker 1: it's it's actually a fascinating little piece. If you ever
- 20:11Speaker 1: get time.
- 20:12Speaker 2: They're I'm I am a firm believer, and I didn't.
- 20:15Speaker 2: I didn't realize this. I don't remember when it was
- 20:19Speaker 2: that I realized this. But rock climbers, mountain climbers are
- 20:22Speaker 2: the strongest people on this planet. And there is no
- 20:25Speaker 2: doubt in my mind. And I'll fight anybody in the
- 20:29Speaker 2: comments that says otherwise. You can talk about the guy
- 20:31Speaker 2: who is you know this merse Musrouden, you know guy
- 20:36Speaker 2: who can lift forests and boulders and things as part
- 20:40Speaker 2: of as part of the World strong Man competition, and
- 20:44Speaker 2: he is strong. But that dude is not climbing a mountain.
- 20:48Speaker 2: He might be a mountain, but he's not climbing it
- 20:51Speaker 2: the way that Alex Hannold can. Rock climbers are the
- 20:54Speaker 2: strongest people on this planet period.
- 20:58Speaker 3: And and dumb are we skipping over that? Yeah, Magnus
- 21:04Speaker 3: Samuelson the world's strongest man seven years in a row
- 21:08Speaker 3: or whatever it is on the ground. Great, he knows
- 21:14Speaker 3: where his place is. He's like, I'm on the earth.
- 21:17Speaker 3: I'm good. These guys are like, hey, let me climb
- 21:21Speaker 3: up the side of slate. That's that's fucking stupid, Like
- 21:27Speaker 3: that's like that's like, hey, wait to watch me die
- 21:30Speaker 3: one day.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, look at that. Look at that really flat mountain.
- 21:33Speaker 2: I'm gonna climb that side of it. Yeah, maybewhile. The
- 21:37Speaker 2: people are like as explorers, like you realize you could
- 21:39Speaker 2: just walk up the other side.
- 21:42Speaker 3: And Magnus Samuelson's like, I'm sorry, let me put the
- 21:44Speaker 3: mountain down.
- 21:47Speaker 2: But it is, it is. It is a different type
- 21:49Speaker 2: of strength. There's no doubt, Like I'm sure that little
- 21:52Speaker 2: Alex Haneld is not going to be able to pick
- 21:54Speaker 2: up one of those boulders the way that Magnus can.
- 21:57Speaker 2: But the control, the overall strength of the body that
- 22:02Speaker 2: he has being able to do. I watched him, in
- 22:05Speaker 2: like thirty seconds climb around an office chair in his
- 22:08Speaker 2: living room, and I was like, Jesus, that guy is strong.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Well, the hand strength is the thing that I can't
- 22:14Speaker 1: even fathom. Uh yeah, I mean just the way you're
- 22:19Speaker 1: watching that just with a couple fingers they're hanging on,
- 22:24Speaker 1: you know, they're climbing up a mountain and you're you're
- 22:27Speaker 1: got a lot of your body weight hooked on two
- 22:30Speaker 1: or three fingers.
- 22:31Speaker 3: No, yeah, yeah, that's a forearm because there's no muscles
- 22:34Speaker 3: in your hands, it's all tendons and yeah.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Still, yeah, you get it's the grip strength.
- 22:39Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, it's It's amazing because like watching the clips
- 22:42Speaker 7: of this guy scale that skyscraper and I was remembering
- 22:46Speaker 7: back to that time I slid down a ladder like
- 22:48Speaker 7: Clarke Griswold, and I'm just like, you know what, well done.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Well here's the even crazier thing. If you ever want
- 22:56Speaker 1: to see Alex Hannell is saying they did an other
- 23:00Speaker 1: documentary called The Alpinist, kind of the What Alpinist. No,
- 23:10Speaker 1: it's yes, I believe it. I know it sounds funny,
- 23:17Speaker 1: but no, it's not alpinist. It's anyways about this guy
- 23:20Speaker 1: that was whatever there was. There's one place in the
- 23:24Speaker 1: United States where Alex Hanold had the record.
- 23:26Speaker 3: Okay, this guy, he's a kid at.
- 23:30Speaker 1: This point, like eighteen nineteen years old, literally just drives
- 23:33Speaker 1: up in his van, scales the mountain. It beats his
- 23:38Speaker 1: time by like twenty minutes.
- 23:40Speaker 3: Damn, and we end up was white kid's name.
- 23:45Speaker 1: I can't remember, but you're absolutely correct. And uh and
- 23:51Speaker 1: he was better than Alex and I mean, but ended
- 23:55Speaker 1: up dying on some mountain in Alaska, which this is
- 23:59Speaker 1: the question made me think about. It wasn't better because
- 24:04Speaker 1: when they did free Solo, Alex Hannell is late twenties
- 24:09Speaker 1: at that point early like right at thirty. He's now forty.
- 24:15Speaker 1: You've made a good living, You've done on At what
- 24:19Speaker 1: point do you go? I'm not pressing my luck anymore.
- 24:22Speaker 3: I want him to do the Borges Khalifa in Dubai.
- 24:29Speaker 3: That's what I want him to climb. I'm with Raj
- 24:32Speaker 3: climb now, because when you die, the fountains are amazing.
- 24:36Speaker 1: I've been.
- 24:40Speaker 2: I mean, when he falls off that thing, we'll have
- 24:43Speaker 2: time for an intermission to go get popcorn. Made before
- 24:46Speaker 2: he splats.
- 24:47Speaker 3: Oh yeah, for sure, like, oh he fell, all right,
- 24:50Speaker 3: hang on, if we go make some popcorn and by
- 24:52Speaker 3: the time you get back and pop two or three
- 24:53Speaker 3: kernels in your mouth, that's when he's eventually gonna land.
- 25:00Speaker 3: I've been there, I've seen it. It's beautiful. The fountain
- 25:03Speaker 3: show is amazing. You'll be distracted. You won't hear the
- 25:06Speaker 3: scream on the way down there. I think they start
- 25:09Speaker 3: off with Don't Stop Believing with the Journeys, ended with
- 25:14Speaker 3: Rick Astley.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Throw beneath My Wings in there somewhere.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Look, you're gonna have time for an entire medley before
- 25:23Speaker 2: he hits the ground from the top of that thing.
- 25:25Speaker 3: It's Tom Petty's free falling.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Come on, guys, followed by Alicia Keys following you can
- 25:37Speaker 2: play an entire album. You hit play as soon as
- 25:41Speaker 2: he slips, and then event and then you might have
- 25:44Speaker 2: a couple seconds of album left by the time he splats.
- 25:48Speaker 3: I mean, I mean you can practice with like the
- 25:50Speaker 3: Patrona's towers in Malaysia, right, Like he can try that first, and.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Then I climb the patron towers.
- 26:00Speaker 3: I've climbed them with you, buddy.
- 26:03Speaker 2: There were two that.
- 26:08Speaker 1: Oh yeah. I feel like if he did it in
- 26:10Speaker 1: Dubai or something like that. I mean they're going to
- 26:12Speaker 1: have a whole like Tiesta will do a whole set
- 26:14Speaker 1: on his way down.
- 26:20Speaker 2: I look forward to that. I think it's a great idea, Raj.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Now that he's done type one on one, he needs
- 26:25Speaker 2: to do Whiz Khalifa and uh.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Not Whiz Khalifa. I mean he can like I would.
- 26:30Speaker 3: I'm sure Wiz wouldn't mind. But the khalifa, my bad.
- 26:35Speaker 3: I always call it by the wrong name. Here's what
- 26:37Speaker 3: you can do to really add steaks to it. So
- 26:42Speaker 3: he goes to climb the borge khalifa and then on
- 26:48Speaker 3: top of it stick Whiz Khalifa. And then Alex has
- 26:51Speaker 3: to climb to the top of Whiz on the top
- 26:53Speaker 3: of the birch. And then there's your there's your ultimate stuff.
- 26:56Speaker 2: And then there's getting you better than.
- 26:57Speaker 1: That, and then there's me a khalifa on top.
- 27:03Speaker 8: Right, stop tray, She's always a bottom.

- 28:30Speaker 2: Speaking of death defying stunts, hang on, there we go.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Are you ready for one of the most unique wellness
- 28:44Speaker 2: experiences Las Vegas has to offer. Yoga with Lions is
- 28:50Speaker 2: coming back to the Lion Habitat Ranch, giving you a
- 28:57Speaker 2: chance to stretch, breathe, and find peace, all while hanging
- 29:02Speaker 2: out near some incredible animals lions. These all levels sixty
- 29:12Speaker 2: minute flow yoga classes are set against the backdrop of
- 29:17Speaker 2: the lion habitat ranch. The first two sessions are February
- 29:21Speaker 2: seventh and March seventh. More dates are planned for April
- 29:25Speaker 2: and May. Due to limited space, tickets are final and
- 29:29Speaker 2: non refundable. Also because just in case you don't get
- 29:35Speaker 2: your money back, if you get eaten.
- 29:39Speaker 1: That's got to be whiter than a NASCAR race.
- 29:43Speaker 3: Thank you so much.
- 29:46Speaker 2: It's important that you say these things Tray not because
- 29:49Speaker 2: we don't want Raj being accused of yet again white bashing.
- 29:54Speaker 3: For this one, I would.
- 29:57Speaker 2: Is that next up in Las Vegas white bashing. Just
- 30:00Speaker 2: pay thirty five dollars for the club.
- 30:03Speaker 1: You pay thirty five dollars to watch the lions eat.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Let me.
- 30:08Speaker 3: Let me ask. I'll of you a question. Have you
- 30:11Speaker 3: gone into a yoga studio and ever seen an Indian? No?
- 30:15Speaker 2: No?
- 30:15Speaker 3: And we invented yoga. We're like, we'll leave this dumb
- 30:20Speaker 3: shit to you. Guys, like we're fine, and now you're
- 30:25Speaker 3: gonna so and then they got goat yoga. Okay, so
- 30:28Speaker 3: they have goats shitting on your back, all right, which
- 30:31Speaker 3: you guys love and it's in every TV show now
- 30:35Speaker 3: Lion Yoga. Okay, here's the here's the thing. Go ask
- 30:39Speaker 3: Ziegfried how that worked out. One that was a tiger.
- 30:47Speaker 3: Oh sorry, why?
- 30:48Speaker 2: Two they weren't doing yoga.
- 30:52Speaker 3: Oh they were backstage.
- 30:59Speaker 1: Doing yoga with somewhat something that has the nickname murder Kitty.
- 31:02Speaker 1: I don't think it's a good idea.
- 31:07Speaker 2: They go on to say here that if you want to,
- 31:10Speaker 2: you know, partake in the yoga with lions at the
- 31:14Speaker 2: Lion Habitat ranch in Las Vegas, anyone ages ten and
- 31:19Speaker 2: up can join in for thirty five dollars per person.
- 31:23Speaker 2: So if you want to bring your snacks I mean
- 31:24Speaker 2: kids with you, they're welcome. They do, however, request that
- 31:30Speaker 2: you bring your own mat. But if you don't have one,
- 31:34Speaker 2: there are some mats that they have on hand, possibly
- 31:37Speaker 2: from previous yoga participants who no longer need them.
- 31:43Speaker 3: You know, Joe Exotic is like son of a Bitch.
- 31:50Speaker 3: I could have stayed in business.
- 31:54Speaker 2: Had you just gone the yoga route and not the
- 31:56Speaker 2: attempted murder.
- 31:58Speaker 3: Oh, trust me, this is a tempted murder. This should
- 32:05Speaker 3: be criminal. I don't even understand how this works.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Can can you take life insurance policies out on other people.
- 32:12Speaker 3: Yes, you can, you can't.
- 32:14Speaker 1: You can. There's the angle on this business.
- 32:20Speaker 3: Get lion yoga.
- 32:24Speaker 2: I mean, I'd offer you the opportunity to ask me
- 32:26Speaker 2: how I know whether or not you can take life
- 32:29Speaker 2: insurance out on another person. But if you think just
- 32:31Speaker 2: an extra second and a half, you'll know how I know.
- 32:36Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I got it.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:40Speaker 2: Uh so does yoga with lions sound like a relaxing
- 32:44Speaker 2: yoga session to you?
- 32:48Speaker 3: No, No, I'd rather do I'd rather do yoga with
- 32:51Speaker 3: the Detroit Lions than this.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:55Speaker 2: I would much rather be next to head coach Dan
- 32:57Speaker 2: Campbell as he screams at me to downward dog harder.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:03Speaker 3: I would like him on my back because I'm planking.
- 33:05Speaker 1: I'm like that.
- 33:06Speaker 3: That's a lot easier than a tier. That's like you
- 33:10Speaker 3: know what. I can eat him and sleep for a
- 33:13Speaker 3: few days. Yeah, I'll be satiated.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Now.
- 33:17Speaker 2: They don't say it explicitly, but I'm I think the
- 33:22Speaker 2: lions are still in their enclosure. I don't think you're
- 33:26Speaker 2: yoga ing in the enclosure with them. I don't know.
- 33:29Speaker 2: I haven't been able to dig up any photographic evidence
- 33:33Speaker 2: from prior classes to see the setup of where the
- 33:37Speaker 2: yogaists are versus you know, the lions. But as you
- 33:43Speaker 2: just pointed out, you would rather do yoga with the
- 33:46Speaker 2: Detroit lions than real lions. And Las Vegas is certainly
- 33:50Speaker 2: known for some wild attractions. The good news is yoga
- 33:54Speaker 2: with lions is not the only bad idea coming to
- 33:57Speaker 2: Las Vegas this year. There are others. For example, how
- 34:00Speaker 2: about WHOHI with sharks?
- 34:04Speaker 3: Yeah? That's yeah.
- 34:06Speaker 2: Why not cooking with Hannibal Lecter hmmm? Investing with Bernie Madoff?
- 34:15Speaker 3: Is he dead?
- 34:18Speaker 2: Don't let that get in the way. A Game of
- 34:20Speaker 2: Memory with Joe Biden, Trampling of Rights with Ice at
- 34:26Speaker 2: My at my personal favorite, facelifts with Wayne Newton. All
- 34:35Speaker 2: sure to be high ticket experiences coming to Las Vegas
- 34:39Speaker 2: in twenty twenty six.
- 34:42Speaker 3: You can get the Kenny Rogers package. You got to
- 34:47Speaker 3: no one to fold them I yeah, yeah, that's really
- 35:04Speaker 3: the Bernie made Off experience. Like it's thirty five dollars now,
- 35:09Speaker 3: but we'll give you seventy back.
- 35:11Speaker 2: That's right, we promise. All you gotta do is find
- 35:15Speaker 2: three more people.
- 35:20Speaker 3: The multi level marketing experience in Vegas. It's at the sphere,
- 35:24Speaker 3: so it's gonna be nice.
- 35:27Speaker 1: Yeah, fantastic, we'll have it at lux Or.
- 35:30Speaker 2: I mean, I've never been to Vegas, and all of
- 35:39Speaker 2: a sudden, I don't feel the need to go.
- 35:43Speaker 3: You've never been to Las Vegas. Never been to Vegas,
- 35:47Speaker 3: Oh my dan.
- 35:50Speaker 1: I know.
- 35:50Speaker 2: But but I have been to Shreefport.
- 35:56Speaker 3: Okay. That's like, Hey, I've never done and Flake, but
- 36:01Speaker 3: I have shot meth between my toes.
- 36:07Speaker 2: And that's the reason I don't feel the need to go.
- 36:11Speaker 3: There is a Taco Bell in Vegas that has a
- 36:15Speaker 3: full on bar and upstairs nightclub, so you can eat
- 36:22Speaker 3: your bean burritos. Uh, grab yourself a couple of Jamison's,
- 36:26Speaker 3: go upstairs and dance the night away inside of a
- 36:30Speaker 3: Taco Bell. And when you're done with that, across the
- 36:33Speaker 3: street it just opened.
- 36:35Speaker 1: A water Burger.
- 36:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:37Speaker 2: That's not gonna happen, at least not the way you
- 36:40Speaker 2: described it. If I go to Las Vegas to go
- 36:42Speaker 2: to the Taco Bell, I will not be dancing the
- 36:44Speaker 2: night away in the club. I will be dancing my
- 36:47Speaker 2: sloppy ass straight to the bathroom.
- 36:51Speaker 3: That's where the bathrooms are is on the second floor, so.
- 36:56Speaker 2: You're saying the taco bell in Las Vegas is like
- 36:59Speaker 2: a taco bell. Well, and then there's some really big
- 37:01Speaker 2: bathroom aria.
- 37:02Speaker 3: See you know how like we're talking about BUCkies the
- 37:05Speaker 3: other day, Like there's music that plays through. Uh, they
- 37:09Speaker 3: got a DJ for you, follow you do your business
- 37:14Speaker 3: so they can drop a sick beat while I drop
- 37:18Speaker 3: a sick beat. Yeah, you can't go wrong Vegas. If
- 37:33Speaker 3: you're ever going West Coast and you get the layover
- 37:37Speaker 3: in Vegas, it's usually about seven or eight hours. That's
- 37:40Speaker 3: about as much time as you need in Vegas. When
- 37:42Speaker 3: people are like we're going for a week, I'm like,
- 37:44Speaker 3: you're going to hate yourself.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Oh god.
- 37:46Speaker 1: The perfect Vegas trip, in my opinion, is like two nights,
- 37:52Speaker 1: fly fly in, get late in late Friday, yeah, Friday night, Saturday,
- 37:57Speaker 1: and then get out of there midday Sunday. That yeah. Perfect.
- 38:01Speaker 3: Yeah, that's exactly why it's too much. It's too much
- 38:04Speaker 3: the bells and whistles and the lights and all that.
- 38:06Speaker 3: Like it's just a sensory overload. Like you don't you
- 38:10Speaker 3: just don't need it. But if I've done it where
- 38:13Speaker 3: there was a seven hour layover and I just want
- 38:14Speaker 3: to go visit a buddy of mine because I wanted
- 38:17Speaker 3: to get out of the airport because there's slot machines
- 38:19Speaker 3: in the airport. Yeah, so they do all the ringing
- 38:23Speaker 3: and lights and stuff as well, and it was perfect.
- 38:27Speaker 3: We went and I kind of walked down the strip,
- 38:29Speaker 3: you know, hit the eminem store and then went to
- 38:32Speaker 3: the Taco Bell that's where both Indian and He's like,
- 38:36Speaker 3: you got to go check out the DJ upstairs, and
- 38:40Speaker 3: I was like, there's like and if DJing was what
- 38:45Speaker 3: you wanted to do with your life, the Taco Bell
- 38:50Speaker 3: gig has to be the shittiest part of it. Like,
- 38:53Speaker 3: you know what, I got this new gig where you at. Oh,
- 38:56Speaker 3: don't worry about it. I'm right next to the GM.
- 39:00Speaker 3: Oh no shit, really, what is it? I'm the Taco
- 39:03Speaker 3: Bell DJ.
- 39:06Speaker 2: Which would sound really cool if you were living in
- 39:09Speaker 2: the movie Demolition Man.
- 39:12Speaker 3: Yes, that is correct, where.
- 39:17Speaker 2: All their restaurants are Taco Bell.
- 39:20Speaker 3: I mean I think everybody inside of a restroom inside
- 39:23Speaker 3: of a Taco Bell is a demolition Man.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Which, by the way, I watched the latter half of
- 39:30Speaker 1: that that surprisingly still holds up.
- 39:33Speaker 3: It's a really good movie. Yeah, stallone kills it.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Yeah, there's some jokes in there that are still funny.
- 39:41Speaker 1: Great Cask.
- 39:44Speaker 3: When he goes down into the sewers or whatever it
- 39:46Speaker 3: is or the tunnels and gets the burger and rat
- 39:50Speaker 3: the rat burger. Oh, and he's like, no works, I
- 39:55Speaker 3: still remember it.
- 39:57Speaker 2: Larry tells him it's Rat. That's demolition. Demolition Man is
- 40:05Speaker 2: not a movie, really, I think, to ask the question
- 40:08Speaker 2: does it hold up? I feel like it's the movie
- 40:12Speaker 2: that all the other movies are compared to as far
- 40:14Speaker 2: as holding up. It's that good at being held up.
- 40:18Speaker 3: But that's the most money. And this is how he
- 40:21Speaker 3: got in trouble is that's the most money that Wesley
- 40:24Speaker 3: Snipes had ever made for doing a movie prior to Blade.
- 40:28Speaker 3: And that's what got him in trouble with the IRS
