Mount Hope Bridge Gets Spa Treatment | Providence News
Traffic delays are coming to the Mount Hope Bridge this Wednesday between 9:30 AM and 2:30 PM as crews install a dehumidification system to combat rust in its steel cables—essentially giving the nearly 100-year-old bridge a spa treatment to extend its life. Expect alternating lane closures nightly from 9 PM to 1 AM, plus surface repairs on four Sundays (8 PM–5 AM) weather permitting.
