- 0:24Speaker 1: Welcome inside the treehouse. Sidly your warriors outside join me
- 0:32Speaker 1: Daniel Mountain, Trade Trenholm, and Raj Sharman for this Monday
- 0:38Speaker 1: episode September ninth, twenty twenty four. We like to start
- 0:43Speaker 1: most shows with the absolute stupidest thing possible to really
- 0:47Speaker 1: grab your attention hook. You bring you inside the treehouse
- 0:52Speaker 1: and then keep you here for the show's entirety, and
- 0:57Speaker 1: we rarely struggle to do that. Today there's no exception,
- 1:03Speaker 1: because today is one of those days where we have
- 1:05Speaker 1: an overabundance of stupid. It is a veritable flood of
- 1:11Speaker 1: treehouse stupidoty. And then Tray came along and sent me
- 1:15Speaker 1: the news story about the Boeing Starliner returning to Earth,
- 1:17Speaker 1: and I said, yep, that rose to the top of
- 1:23Speaker 1: the floodwaters.
- 1:25Speaker 2: I don't know how you could watch the story like
- 1:29Speaker 2: when it landed, like it made all the channels and
- 1:32Speaker 2: everybody was just, i mean just applauding Boeing for landing.
- 1:40Speaker 1: So you remember, you remember the news story we did
- 1:42Speaker 1: last week about the corporate retreat where it was on
- 1:47Speaker 1: a mountain, Colorado, and the headline made it sound like
- 1:49Speaker 1: the corporate retreat just left one guy on the mountain,
- 1:53Speaker 1: when in reality, he got lost and they couldn't find it.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Oh do you know what happened?
- 1:57Speaker 2: Well, when they were coming down the mountain, they took
- 1:59Speaker 2: the flags, the markers. They forgot he was there, so
- 2:03Speaker 2: they took the markers out.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Oh, it is still really bad. I thought it was okay. Anyway.
- 2:09Speaker 1: There was a headline that read to the effect of
- 2:15Speaker 1: co workers leave man on mountain during corporate outing, which
- 2:20Speaker 1: made it sound like it wasn't. They didn't make it
- 2:23Speaker 1: sound like he was lost or something or like it
- 2:25Speaker 1: made it sound like they left him there intentionally. This
- 2:27Speaker 1: headline from CBS News sounds very similar to that from
- 2:31Speaker 1: CBS News Boeing's troubled star liner makes safe return to
- 2:35Speaker 1: Earth after leaving.
- 2:36Speaker 4: Its crew behind.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I mean, you had one job, right.
- 2:43Speaker 5: But you know the crew has been up so this
- 2:46Speaker 5: was in space turns this was the equivalent of a
- 2:49Speaker 5: three hour tour.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Who's Gilligan, who's the skipper? That's all I want to know.
- 2:58Speaker 4: They got up there.
- 3:00Speaker 5: They've been up there for ninety something days because they
- 3:03Speaker 5: deemed that the star Liner was not safe to return.
- 3:05Speaker 5: So you know, the two people who are watching this going,
- 3:09Speaker 5: I'll f youf you, f you when that thing made
- 3:13Speaker 5: a safe landing.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Really the rocket should have just done this the whole time.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Oh, just two middle fingers back up at.
- 3:21Speaker 3: The well astronauts.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Well, I mean if it was like a regular rocket
- 3:28Speaker 1: going back down, it looks like one middle finger.
- 3:30Speaker 2: But they literally have to be there until February because you.
- 3:38Speaker 4: Get Elon Musk.
- 3:42Speaker 1: And that doesn't seem to be high on his priority list.
- 3:44Speaker 2: No, he's sending a cyber truck. That's gonna be all.
- 3:49Speaker 2: You have to give it to Bowing. Any win is
- 3:52Speaker 2: a win. Like their stock went through the roof because
- 3:55Speaker 2: they landed. Wait what Yeah, the rocket landed as they said,
- 4:05Speaker 2: entered the fiery atmosphere of Earth and landed safely, So
- 4:09Speaker 2: their stock went to the roof.
- 4:10Speaker 3: Well, that's your job.
- 4:12Speaker 4: At one point there.
- 4:14Speaker 5: Was talk that they were just gonna have to jettison
- 4:16Speaker 5: this thing from the space station, and you're just talking
- 4:19Speaker 5: about like ten billion dollars just drifting off it.
- 4:22Speaker 2: They were going to call it, they were going to
- 4:24Speaker 2: take the loss as quote, I'm not making this up
- 4:27Speaker 2: space trash.
- 4:31Speaker 3: When your rocket is called space trash.
- 4:33Speaker 2: And then three months later it's like, Yay, we made
- 4:37Speaker 2: it and your two astronauts are like, what the seriously,
- 4:41Speaker 2: we could have gone home now they have to wait
- 4:44Speaker 2: till February.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Wow. Okay, so now if you're now, let's let's play
- 4:49Speaker 1: a quick hypothetical. If if you're the astronauts, Trey, if
- 4:54Speaker 1: you guys are the astronauts on the space station and
- 4:58Speaker 1: NASA gives you the option to stay where you are
- 5:01Speaker 1: until February or actually, hang on, I think we have
- 5:06Speaker 1: another game that we can do this for. Hang on,
- 5:08Speaker 1: let me see you here. It is time for versus
- 5:13Speaker 1: inside the tree house. Today's contestants Trey Trenholm and Raj Sharma.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Big fan.
- 5:20Speaker 4: Welcome, gentlemen, long time, first time.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Today's question for you in versus is if you too,
- 5:31Speaker 1: If the two of you were the astronauts stuck on
- 5:34Speaker 1: the International Space Station right now, and NASA came to
- 5:37Speaker 1: you with the option of a hop on this Boeing
- 5:43Speaker 1: star Liners attempt at returning to Earth, you might make
- 5:46Speaker 1: it or you might end up as space trash. I
- 5:51Speaker 1: guess that's B.
- 5:52Speaker 4: No.
- 5:52Speaker 3: No.
- 5:52Speaker 1: So A is you get on this Boeing star Liner
- 5:56Speaker 1: and you either make it to Earth or you become
- 5:59Speaker 1: space trash or B you just hang out there until
- 6:03Speaker 1: February until we can send uh one of Elon's cyber
- 6:07Speaker 1: truck rockets to get you.
- 6:11Speaker 2: I'm Indian, like, we we can't even go to Pakistan,
- 6:14Speaker 2: so we're not We're not going to.
- 6:21Speaker 3: We're not going to the moon, buddy, We're not going
- 6:24Speaker 3: to space.
- 6:25Speaker 1: We're good, Okay, So are you gonna are you gonna
- 6:27Speaker 1: wait it out? Or are you gonna take the Boeing
- 6:30Speaker 1: star Liner back to Earth?
- 6:31Speaker 2: I mean it's not called the Challenger, so uh, I'll
- 6:35Speaker 2: take the too soon really eighty six? Uh, but I
- 6:40Speaker 2: mean I would, Uh, I would risk it to come
- 6:42Speaker 2: back instead of waiting in space. Like if I called
- 6:46Speaker 2: you right out, Dan and I was like, hey, we're
- 6:50Speaker 2: gonna we're going to space, and you have to be
- 6:51Speaker 2: there till February.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Or we could do this, I would take the rocket down.
- 7:00Speaker 5: Well, but I also gotta remember it again, this was
- 7:04Speaker 5: a three hour tour. They were only supposed to be
- 7:06Speaker 5: gone for ten days.
- 7:08Speaker 2: I think it was eleven days was the max. That's
- 7:11Speaker 2: what they were told. So the fact that they.
- 7:14Speaker 3: Even have enough food and drinking water, which although.
- 7:18Speaker 5: They're still dependent on a resupply ship, docking would be unmanned.
- 7:23Speaker 5: But they've they've gotten that down pretty well. But yeah,
- 7:26Speaker 5: you're already up there ninety days before the water tray.
- 7:30Speaker 3: What's the water repurposed what you're in? Yes, at least
- 7:36Speaker 3: some of it.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Yeah, you have to drink pea and stay there until February.
- 7:41Speaker 2: I'll take the fiery crash trey.
- 7:45Speaker 1: What say you? Are you gonna wait till February and
- 7:47Speaker 1: drink your own pea? Or are you going to take
- 7:50Speaker 1: a fifty to fifty shot on the Boeing aircraft back
- 7:53Speaker 1: to Earth?
- 7:57Speaker 3: I like, how you have to think about this?
- 8:00Speaker 5: Hey, we asked a hard questions and the biggest variable
- 8:04Speaker 5: in this equation is do I like the other person
- 8:08Speaker 5: I'm with that?
- 8:09Speaker 3: I didn't even think about that.
- 8:11Speaker 4: Yeah, she's a girl. It's a guy and a girl.
- 8:13Speaker 5: It's like, you know, it's there a little sex on
- 8:15Speaker 5: the side if you come to an agreement.
- 8:17Speaker 3: What okay, space sex? I could kind of, I could.
- 8:20Speaker 3: I could stay till February.
- 8:24Speaker 2: A space handy just looking at the moon.
- 8:34Speaker 1: And on the phone with your spouses.
- 8:39Speaker 4: What's that floating by?
- 8:42Speaker 1: That was deserved to shut up?

- 11:01Speaker 1: That's fair least dot o r G coming off of
- 11:07Speaker 1: the tale of Grand Adventure to Space for the two
- 11:10Speaker 1: astronauts who are going to unintentionally stay in space way
- 11:13Speaker 1: longer than they ever were promised or intended or planned on.
- 11:17Speaker 4: Yeah, and my mind you the February rescue date is
- 11:21Speaker 4: in pencil.
- 11:23Speaker 3: It's a tentative. It could be March.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Yeah, it's February with an asterisk because because this is
- 11:29Speaker 1: also because this is a rush job getting a manned
- 11:34Speaker 1: vehicle into space, because it wasn't planned well that if
- 11:37Speaker 1: there's anything we know NASA loves, it's hurrying.
- 11:41Speaker 4: And this isn't even NASA is like bailing bowing out.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't see.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, the saying it's like the blind leading
- 11:54Speaker 1: the blind. I think I think, I think elon musk
- 11:57Speaker 1: and uh leading boeing is kind of the new equation
- 12:03Speaker 1: for it. Because what was it you were saying before tray,
- 12:05Speaker 1: It's like on the cyber truck, they didn't research the
- 12:07Speaker 1: materials enough, so there's fingerprints all over them.
- 12:10Speaker 5: Now, yeah, there's like the oil on your skin if
- 12:12Speaker 5: you look at the original whatever that alloy is they
- 12:15Speaker 5: are made with. If you look at a cyber truck,
- 12:18Speaker 5: now look around the door handles and everything else, they're
- 12:20Speaker 5: starting to discolor because something about the oil and dirt
- 12:24Speaker 5: on skin reacts with it and it's discoloring it permanently, Jesus.
- 12:29Speaker 2: And you can't and here's the thing, you can't paint it.
- 12:32Speaker 2: It's just two hundred thousand dollars thrown away.
- 12:37Speaker 4: Well, i've seen and God forbid you get one in
- 12:38Speaker 4: a puddle.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Yeah, and so I've seen a few of the cyber trucks,
- 12:44Speaker 1: and I've also seen what their supposed capabilities are.
- 12:47Speaker 5: Also no car wash, no car washes, oh you know
- 12:53Speaker 5: why rust. But also if it has that undersprayerh are
- 13:00Speaker 5: you do the wheels?
- 13:01Speaker 4: It can get up there and fry your whole system.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Oh my god, it can't go through an actual you
- 13:06Speaker 2: can't even take it to like a high school car wash,
- 13:09Speaker 2: like to donate to the football team.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Like you can't cyber truck.
- 13:13Speaker 3: Sorry, screw team cyber truck.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I've I've seen videos of the supposed
- 13:20Speaker 1: capabilities of the cyber truck and people go, look at
- 13:22Speaker 1: my cyber truck can do. And then people come in
- 13:24Speaker 1: and then they show like them stepping over the same puddle.
- 13:26Speaker 1: It's like, look at my feet can do? Or I've
- 13:30Speaker 1: seen old ladies on rascals with more off road capabilities
- 13:35Speaker 1: than the cyber trucks.
- 13:37Speaker 5: The best what is and Roger just see the video
- 13:38Speaker 5: there's this mom who just does they take a promotional
- 13:43Speaker 5: video for the cyber truck about oh my gosh, look
- 13:45Speaker 5: at all this space.
- 13:47Speaker 3: It's it's it was geared.
- 13:50Speaker 2: It's geared to moms like, look at how much room
- 13:53Speaker 2: this has. Look at what you can do with the console,
- 13:55Speaker 2: look at what you can do with this.
- 13:56Speaker 5: And it's a mom in a mini van. So the
- 13:59Speaker 5: promotional video just like like oh with me had a baby,
- 14:04Speaker 5: you know, and my six or three husband. We have
- 14:06Speaker 5: plenty of room. And she's in the third rush going
- 14:08Speaker 5: this seat seven.
- 14:12Speaker 4: And that's real.
- 14:13Speaker 5: Yeah, yes, yeah, it's a folks I think she's in
- 14:16Speaker 5: a Folkswagen or something.
- 14:17Speaker 4: The final one is, you know, the cyber Truk.
- 14:19Speaker 5: Mom is like, and you know what, your kids think,
- 14:21Speaker 5: you're really cool and a badass. And the woman goes,
- 14:24Speaker 5: if you have kids, they think you're cringe mind telling me,
- 14:27Speaker 5: I'm cringe every day.
- 14:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:34Speaker 2: So she's like trying to like show the comparison, and
- 14:39Speaker 2: it's God, love that lady. She's so funny because every
- 14:44Speaker 2: single thing they just cut and she's just always in
- 14:46Speaker 2: the back seat of this vein.
- 14:48Speaker 3: I don't know, he's never in the front seat. Ye.
- 14:50Speaker 5: They're like, oh, there's a secret compartment. She's like, oh
- 14:53Speaker 5: my god, a glove is the glove rush? Oh my god,
- 14:56Speaker 5: look at this.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Who knew? Yeah, there are certain things that you know.
- 15:06Speaker 3: It's like the DeLorean m they they made them, we
- 15:11Speaker 3: didn't have to buy them. Well that was the thing.
- 15:13Speaker 1: At least at least the DeLorean was was manufactured and
- 15:18Speaker 1: sold and marketed as a novelty. The cyber truck was
- 15:22Speaker 1: manufactured and marketed and attempting to be sold as somehow
- 15:26Speaker 1: an improvement over every other existing vehicle on the market.
- 15:30Speaker 1: I'd rather drive a Mini.
- 15:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I I would.
- 15:34Speaker 2: I would rather have any other car, and a buddy
- 15:38Speaker 2: of mine has one, and I've seen it. You want
- 15:42Speaker 2: when they're like, why I got all the bells and whistles. Uh,
- 15:44Speaker 2: you can get the same thing in a in a Honda.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Not gonna lie, it's the same thing. It's so terrible.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Like you're a doctor, you have two hundred thousand dollars.
- 15:55Speaker 3: Go ahead. It's like he's like, you can borrow it
- 15:58Speaker 3: anytime you want.
- 15:59Speaker 5: No, you can go get a tricked out escalade everything
- 16:07Speaker 5: for half the price.
- 16:09Speaker 3: It'll come with R Kelly in the back.
- 16:16Speaker 1: So, speaking of speaking of failed adventures, whether it's the
- 16:19Speaker 1: cyber truck or going to space and expecting to come
- 16:23Speaker 1: back after a few hours. I don't know if you
- 16:28Speaker 1: guys saw our post the other day. It was Tara's
- 16:30Speaker 1: post on Instagram and Facebook. We actually scaled forty two
- 16:35Speaker 1: point seven percent of a volcano last week. Yeah for us, right,
- 16:42Speaker 1: what's the look of indignation, raj No?
- 16:45Speaker 3: I mean, well, white people gonna white. Uh, that's what
- 16:50Speaker 3: you guys do? Were you forced?
- 16:54Speaker 1: No, it's an it's it's an Airbnb excursion. So if
- 16:57Speaker 1: even if you don't actually stayed in Airbnb or anything
- 17:00Speaker 1: like that, if you go to some city that you're
- 17:01Speaker 1: unfamiliar with their excursions, you can do you know how
- 17:04Speaker 1: you do like the the various excursions when you go
- 17:06Speaker 1: to resorts in Mexico and stuff, Well you can do
- 17:08Speaker 1: those in regular cities. I'm sure Dallas has some as well.
- 17:11Speaker 1: I haven't looked him up, but like in Seattle, there's
- 17:14Speaker 1: a mount Rainier hike that you can do. And uh,
- 17:18Speaker 1: so that's what we did, what Trey.
- 17:21Speaker 5: Because nothing says white like hiking an active volcano?
- 17:27Speaker 3: Thank you? What guy?
- 17:29Speaker 4: Hang on?
- 17:30Speaker 1: Hang on? Our tour guide promised us. He assured us
- 17:34Speaker 1: that it was not going to erupt that day, and
- 17:36Speaker 1: he ended up being right Dan.
- 17:40Speaker 4: He was. Did you have to ask for really?
- 17:49Speaker 3: Skyler?
- 17:55Speaker 2: His name was Nate, Nate his middle name, Noah.
- 18:01Speaker 5: There's a day and there's a documentary I'd like you
- 18:03Speaker 5: to watch on Netflix called The Volcano Rescue from Wakari.
- 18:08Speaker 7: Yes you've seen this, look I I trusted our tour
- 18:16Speaker 7: guide and if you can trust a.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Name, I can't believe anybody's outside of me has seen
- 18:26Speaker 2: this because I was like, let me watch to white
- 18:28Speaker 2: people do stupid ship and then.
- 18:31Speaker 3: There it is. I know it's what there it was.
- 18:34Speaker 1: I mean, come on, if you can't trust a tour
- 18:37Speaker 1: guide named I think his full name was, uh yeah,
- 18:40Speaker 1: it was Nathan Noah Honky guide. If you can't trust
- 18:44Speaker 1: a guy with with that credible of a name.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Of the Connecticut Honky Guides, Yeah, that's just okay. I mean,
- 18:56Speaker 3: and it was it fun? Did you? Yeah?
- 18:59Speaker 1: I mean it was.
- 18:59Speaker 3: It looks.
- 19:00Speaker 1: The reason why I positioned it that way is that, yeah,
- 19:02Speaker 1: we got to say that. We we climbed up, you know,
- 19:04Speaker 1: damn near half a volcano the other day. Now it's
- 19:09Speaker 1: fourteen four hundred and ten feet to the top and
- 19:12Speaker 1: requires four days worth of of stuff to attempt to
- 19:17Speaker 1: make the actual summit of the mountain slash volcano. We're
- 19:20Speaker 1: not doing that. It's like Nate, our guide, was telling us,
- 19:24Speaker 1: it takes two days of mountaineering training and then two
- 19:27Speaker 1: days of actually going up and coming back down. So
- 19:29Speaker 1: we're not doing that. We're just doing the Airbnb version
- 19:32Speaker 1: of just kind of hike up to about half the middle,
- 19:34Speaker 1: get some pretty views of up at the mountain, take
- 19:37Speaker 1: some video, take some photos, and go back down and
- 19:39Speaker 1: eat some lunch.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Gotcha, how many Nipolice people walked past you with the
- 19:42Speaker 2: middle finger?
- 19:46Speaker 1: I think they're still in season on Everest, so we
- 19:48Speaker 1: didn't see any of them. But it stuck because we
- 19:52Speaker 1: went up like six three hundred feet and my legs
- 19:57Speaker 1: still hurt and the other or wrinkle on.
- 20:00Speaker 4: This is.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Altitude, so it's hard to breathe when you're up that
- 20:05Speaker 1: high as well. So not only were we in our
- 20:08Speaker 1: little tour group surrounded by twenty somethings, so we were
- 20:13Speaker 1: the olds, we were the old heads of the group
- 20:16Speaker 1: and we're just trying to just make it as far
- 20:18Speaker 1: as we can, trying to keep up, and Nate was
- 20:21Speaker 1: kind of come back, go like okay, But we held
- 20:25Speaker 1: our own.
- 20:25Speaker 4: We did well.
- 20:26Speaker 1: We got up to the good spots. Are my legs
- 20:28Speaker 1: still hurt? Yeah, Jesus. And then Eri's post, you know, say, oh,
- 20:34Speaker 1: we hiked right here, blah blah blah, and there's a
- 20:36Speaker 1: few people that actually posted congratulations. I think some people
- 20:39Speaker 1: are assuming we went to the top. We didn't go
- 20:41Speaker 1: to the top. If we went to the top, there'd
- 20:43Speaker 1: be a photo of us up there, and because we'd
- 20:47Speaker 1: be covered head to toe in some sort of winter garb.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Well, you also didn't say you didn't go to the top.
- 20:51Speaker 2: You said we hiked Mount rain near You didn't say
- 20:54Speaker 2: we went forty two percent of mountain.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Well, I'm I'm setting the record straight. And then if
- 20:59Speaker 1: you think we hiked to the top, we didn't. I
- 21:01Speaker 1: think I feel I feel uh, you know, accomplished enough
- 21:06Speaker 1: to say that we hiked forty three percent of it
- 21:09Speaker 1: forty you're the the.
- 21:11Speaker 2: The boweling skyliner of hiking.
- 21:15Speaker 3: What you guys are I am?
- 21:16Speaker 1: I made it back down safely.
- 21:20Speaker 3: By yourself.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Look, Nate the tour guy told us about there was
- 21:23Speaker 1: a situation I forget how long ago, where people were
- 21:26Speaker 1: going to the top of Mount Rainier and a strong
- 21:29Speaker 1: wind gusts blew.
- 21:30Speaker 4: Them off the freaking mountain.
- 21:33Speaker 1: So I'm okay to stop at the at the nice
- 21:35Speaker 1: scenic overlook, take some photos and go back down to normal.
- 21:38Speaker 3: And how many people went, how many people were on
- 21:40Speaker 3: the hike with you?
- 21:41Speaker 1: It was a group total of eleven, so us plus
- 21:45Speaker 1: nine and Nate and.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Nate and Nate can can I ask if there were
- 21:49Speaker 2: and I know I get a lot of grief, but
- 21:52Speaker 2: Trey's got my back on this one. I know you're
- 21:55Speaker 2: going to say, were there any other huh, any other
- 22:00Speaker 2: people of color or any people of color that went
- 22:03Speaker 2: hiking with you?
- 22:04Speaker 3: Guys?
- 22:06Speaker 1: Our group consisted of me and Tara, a white couple
- 22:11Speaker 1: from Australia. Yep, Michael from London.
- 22:16Speaker 3: Mm hm.
- 22:17Speaker 1: There was a girl from Brazil who lives in Germany.
- 22:21Speaker 1: And then there were three girls wearing hiking stuff, and
- 22:26Speaker 1: then there was there was a girl from Dallas, Hi, Genebeth.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Yeah, you still have not answered my question at all.
- 22:33Speaker 1: And then and then another girl who was from Seattle.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Still again, I was asking if there were people of color.
- 22:39Speaker 2: You told me where everybody's from.
- 22:41Speaker 1: I don't like to assume everyone's race just based on
- 22:43Speaker 1: skin color.
- 22:47Speaker 3: With the Brazilian living in Germany, you're okay.
- 22:49Speaker 1: With Well, she was clearly not a person she appeared.
- 22:55Speaker 1: There were the Jennebeth was was mixed. She's white and Asian,
- 22:59Speaker 1: and the girl from Seattle was Asian, and I think
- 23:02Speaker 1: everyone else was lily.
- 23:04Speaker 2: White, yes, and and and and hiking mm hmm that's awesome,
- 23:11Speaker 2: was it?
- 23:12Speaker 1: And you didn't even ask me about the about the
- 23:14Speaker 1: lunch that we had?
- 23:16Speaker 3: No, Wow, was it sandwiches? No?
- 23:20Speaker 1: It was whiter we had.
- 23:26Speaker 3: Was that the Asian girl's name?
- 23:32Speaker 1: No, that's that's what Nate brought. Nate brought in his
- 23:35Speaker 1: in his backpack with his uh smoldering legs.
- 23:38Speaker 3: Uh.
- 23:38Speaker 1: He had the food for all of.
- 23:40Speaker 3: Us, and it was uh you had badpah. Yeah, boy,
- 23:44Speaker 3: that's the whitest.
- 23:45Speaker 4: You didn't have to You didn't even have to bring
- 23:47Speaker 4: your own food.
- 23:48Speaker 1: No, that's part of the excursion. That's part of what
- 23:51Speaker 1: you pay.
- 23:51Speaker 3: For the excursion. I don't know how you guys roughed it.
- 23:59Speaker 1: I don't understand why you guys thought that this was
- 24:03Speaker 1: going to be a rough kit type scenario.
- 24:06Speaker 4: And how how you said you went like thirty six
- 24:08Speaker 4: hundred feet.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Sixty three hundred sir, don't you dare short on that?
- 24:12Speaker 4: There wasn't even like up there, just just to make
- 24:17Speaker 4: it challenging.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Look how the.
- 24:20Speaker 2: Sherpa would be at sixty three hundred feet making your
- 24:23Speaker 2: keish like you guys made it good to see you guys.
- 24:27Speaker 3: I gotta go up the other wrist to feed my family. Now. Wow.
- 24:35Speaker 1: So this is why, this is why I hate sharing
- 24:37Speaker 1: things with you, guys. I'm excited to tell you about
- 24:39Speaker 1: something and then you just, you know, take big old
- 24:42Speaker 1: steaming dumps all over.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Speaking of that, like, where did you guys go when when.
- 24:49Speaker 3: You were trucking up the mountain? Where did the report?
- 24:52Speaker 3: Did you guys?
- 24:53Speaker 1: They had something there? There's a visitor center, very nice bathroom.
- 24:56Speaker 4: Did make pat that up to?
- 25:00Speaker 3: Didn't Neyate hold his hands out?
- 25:04Speaker 1: I'm never telling you guys anything ever.

- 25:35Speaker 1: Be sure to check out all things Treehouse at Treehouse
- 25:37Speaker 1: on Air dot com. Be sure to check out our
- 25:40Speaker 1: YouTube channel as well. We've got something new and exciting
- 25:44Speaker 1: happening today over on our YouTube channel. It is the
- 25:48Speaker 1: Treehouse Cowboys Show. Treehouse Cowboys Show. I think I like
- 25:52Speaker 1: the name of it, the Treehouse Cowboys, partly because I
- 25:55Speaker 1: think that'll keep us from getting sued because the Cowboys
- 25:58Speaker 1: don't own the rights to cowboys. What with Dallas in
- 26:04Speaker 1: front of it, then it might be a problem. So
- 26:05Speaker 1: if we call ourselves a treehouse, cowboys were referring to
- 26:07Speaker 1: us as cowboys, not necessarily the cowboys, but we'll be
- 26:09Speaker 1: talking about the Cowboys in the Treehouse Cowboys Football Show
- 26:13Speaker 1: on YouTube exclusively. So go to YouTube dot com slash
- 26:16Speaker 1: Treehouse on air and you will find that there.
- 26:18Speaker 4: Thank you very much.
- 26:19Speaker 1: What's the question, ROJ?
- 26:21Speaker 3: You said they don't own the Cowboys.
- 26:24Speaker 1: They don't own the name, like the term cowboys?
- 26:27Speaker 3: Gotcha?
- 26:28Speaker 4: Okay?
- 26:29Speaker 1: I didn't, because otherwise you wouldn't be able to like
- 26:31Speaker 1: have actual cowboys without paying royalty to the Dallas Cowboys
- 26:35Speaker 1: football team versus you know, cattle wrestlers and such. Does
- 26:40Speaker 1: that make sense?
- 26:41Speaker 3: So who owns the name?
- 26:43Speaker 5: Hey, cowboys is such a generic term, no one can
- 26:45Speaker 5: put ownership on it right now.
- 26:47Speaker 1: If you put Dallas Cowboys in front of it, then yeah,
- 26:49Speaker 1: they own that.
- 26:50Speaker 2: Michael Jackson owned Happy Birthday, they bought it.
- 26:55Speaker 5: Yeah that was there was original author that actually got
- 26:59Speaker 5: thealties on.
- 27:00Speaker 4: That for kits.
- 27:02Speaker 3: So can we buy Cowboys?
- 27:05Speaker 1: Sure, we'll just you know, we'll just we'll send a
- 27:09Speaker 1: note to dak and ask for a loan with that,
- 27:13Speaker 1: real quick, real quick. I just want to point this
- 27:15Speaker 1: out because we're going to cover this in the uh
- 27:17Speaker 1: the Treehouse Cowboys show on YouTube YouTube dot com slash
- 27:20Speaker 1: Treehouse hun There. Uh do you remember so? Dak's new
- 27:25Speaker 1: contract is worth a reported two hundred and forty million dollars,
- 27:28Speaker 1: two hundred and thirty one of which is guaranteed. Jerry
- 27:31Speaker 1: Jones bought the Cowboys back in nineteen eighty nine four.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Do you remember how much one hundred and eighty five Roger.
- 27:40Speaker 3: From? Uh, I'm gonna guess one.
- 27:44Speaker 1: You're both close but a little over. According to by
- 27:47Speaker 1: Google search, it was one hundred forty million dollars, and
- 27:50Speaker 1: in my memory I thought it was two fifty. So,
- 27:53Speaker 1: whatever way you want to look at it, with Dak's
- 27:55Speaker 1: new deal, if you wanted to go back in time,
- 27:56Speaker 1: he could buy the Cowboys for one hundred and forty
- 27:59Speaker 1: million and still have one hundred left over. Not a
- 28:01Speaker 1: bad not a bad pay day for him.
- 28:03Speaker 3: Eighty million I think was the signing bonus.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a good signing bonus.
- 28:07Speaker 3: Yeah, solid you Jella.
- 28:10Speaker 4: Roger Staubach was the first million dollar contract.
- 28:13Speaker 1: Yes, Cowboys have a have a true legacy of paid.
- 28:19Speaker 3: I think that was after his second Super Bowl win,
- 28:22Speaker 3: when he got.
- 28:23Speaker 4: That was to keep him from retiring and playing another year.
- 28:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Meanwhile, Walt Garrison got a new horse trailer. Everybody won
- 28:29Speaker 1: on the Cowboys back in the day. I just forgot
- 28:40Speaker 1: the story I was going to do. Hang on, let
- 28:41Speaker 1: me check my notes. Where did it go?
- 28:42Speaker 3: Oh?
- 28:43Speaker 1: Yeah, so you guys trounced on my hiking excursion up
- 28:48Speaker 1: Mount Rainier the active volcano halfway almost halfway, almost halfway.
- 28:53Speaker 1: We did not make it to the top. I don't
- 28:54Speaker 1: want anyone confused on that whatsoever.
- 28:57Speaker 4: Mm hmm.
- 28:59Speaker 1: But uh our tour guiy Nate did also tell us
- 29:05Speaker 1: that yes, it is not only an active volcano, but
- 29:07Speaker 1: it's on the verge of going boom, meaning like it's
- 29:10Speaker 1: it's on like the list of ones that it's expected
- 29:13Speaker 1: to blow up soon and by earth soon it could
- 29:17Speaker 1: be a thousand. I don't know, but he did say.
- 29:20Speaker 1: But he did say not today, but it is gonna,
- 29:24Speaker 1: you know, explode again.
- 29:26Speaker 2: So I guess that's when his excursions we'll come to
- 29:30Speaker 2: a halt.
- 29:31Speaker 1: Yeah, that's when he has that's when he has to
- 29:33Speaker 1: go back to Salt Lake City and do his h
- 29:36Speaker 1: his music from Salt Lake City. He splits time is
- 29:41Speaker 1: also a.
- 29:41Speaker 9: Musician harmonica or acoustic guitar ur bongo.
- 29:54Speaker 1: I think he's one of those guys that can play
- 29:55Speaker 1: all three at the same time.
- 29:57Speaker 4: He does he protest to.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Only in his free time.
- 30:05Speaker 3: What were his pronouns?
- 30:08Speaker 1: I didn't ask ahs. So, speaking of discovering scary things,
- 30:18Speaker 1: a death pool has been discovered at the bottom of
- 30:20Speaker 1: the sea that kills everything immediately. And how do we
- 30:24Speaker 1: know this? Someone went and found it. The darkest depths
- 30:30Speaker 1: of the Red Sea could shed light on the origins
- 30:33Speaker 1: of life itself thanks to a stunning discovery made by scientists.
- 30:37Speaker 1: A team of researchers at the University of Miami hit
- 30:40Speaker 1: the bottom of the Narrow Sea, which lies between the
- 30:43Speaker 1: Arabian Peninsula and Africa, and were met by dense salty
- 30:46Speaker 1: lakes known as death pools. The alarming name is fitting
- 30:50Speaker 1: given that these are among the most extreme environments on Earth.
- 30:52Speaker 1: The rare pools, which form on the seafloor are hyper saline,
- 30:58Speaker 1: meaning on a mass imaginably salty, which means this is
- 31:02Speaker 1: something that would tempt my wife, because my goddess, she
- 31:04Speaker 1: loves salt. Oh and by the way, it also contains
- 31:07Speaker 1: zero oxygen. They are so inhospitable these death pools that
- 31:11Speaker 1: any animal that strays into their briny waters is immediately
- 31:15Speaker 1: stunned or killed. And yet despite all of this, they
- 31:18Speaker 1: still manage to team with living microbes, the fact that
- 31:21Speaker 1: could offer insights into how life on the planet began
- 31:24Speaker 1: and how beings could evolve on water rich worlds beyond
- 31:27Speaker 1: our own. And which finds University of Miami scientists poking
- 31:31Speaker 1: around a death pool that kills everything immediately trying to
- 31:34Speaker 1: find the origins of life.
- 31:36Speaker 3: M pretty cool, right, was Nate there?
- 31:42Speaker 1: I don't know if he does underwater tours. Keisha doesn't
- 31:47Speaker 1: taste as good at the bottom of the ocean.
- 31:52Speaker 3: He brings the salmon rules.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Uh, this is just one of the like keeping in mind, Yes,
- 32:00Speaker 1: I understand, Like you know, I like to go on
- 32:02Speaker 1: a hike here and there, Like it's it's not so
- 32:04Speaker 1: much like a hike, like like I see people hiking
- 32:06Speaker 1: on serious trails that's almost like climbing mountains and stuff,
- 32:09Speaker 1: and that's not what I do. It's like I go
- 32:11Speaker 1: on on an exaggerated walk. Not granted, the hike we
- 32:15Speaker 1: did was steep and it was very strenuous, but we're
- 32:17Speaker 1: not hanging off the mountain edge. We're not going anywhere
- 32:19Speaker 1: where only goats go kind of a thing. So I'll
- 32:22Speaker 1: do that, but I have absolutely no interest in going
- 32:24Speaker 1: to the bottom of the ocean floor to go exploring,
- 32:28Speaker 1: because I might find a death pool or and I'm
- 32:30Speaker 1: definitely not going, you know, in one of those Xbox
- 32:33Speaker 1: controlled submarine kind of a deal. But you know, give
- 32:37Speaker 1: me a little bit of area in which I can
- 32:41Speaker 1: control which is breathing, and I'll do a little exploring,
- 32:45Speaker 1: but I'm not going to the bottom of the ocean
- 32:46Speaker 1: where it says place kills everything. You would snorkel, Yeah, snorkel,
- 32:51Speaker 1: absolutely love snorkeling. Stay on the surface.
- 32:53Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, I'm a scuba diver and I I'm much
- 32:58Speaker 5: more comfortable being underwater and on the surface.
- 33:01Speaker 2: That's what everybody that scuba dive says that snorkeling scares
- 33:04Speaker 2: them because they are worried about inhaling water and choking.
- 33:08Speaker 5: Well that and you know, you're on the surface like that,
- 33:10Speaker 5: you're much more likely to be seen as food.
- 33:15Speaker 1: He's got a point there. That's why I stay in
- 33:17Speaker 1: shallow waters where I can see the bottom.
- 33:19Speaker 3: Gotcha.
- 33:20Speaker 2: Okay, So even given your fear of heights, like underwater,
- 33:24Speaker 2: you're fine, that's okay, Like, I.
- 33:28Speaker 1: Guess you're talking to you dre because I like to
- 33:30Speaker 1: I don't know a scuba guy.
- 33:31Speaker 2: No, but you're like snorkeling, like even being on top
- 33:35Speaker 2: right being No, that's still the water, that's okay.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Like, yeah, I'm fine with that. Snorkeling I'm fine with
- 33:41Speaker 1: but if I get in and it's immediately really deep,
- 33:43Speaker 1: then I'll start to hyperventilate and.
- 33:45Speaker 3: Oh okay, yeah, yeah, okay, so the same.
- 33:47Speaker 1: That's unreasonable fear, Like I know I can float, but
- 33:50Speaker 1: if I can't see the bottom, I'm freaking out.
- 33:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:52Speaker 2: Same, that's that's the same with me and scuba divers.
- 33:54Speaker 2: Are you guys are a very rare breed where you
- 33:57Speaker 2: don't mind like walking on the ocean floor.
- 34:03Speaker 5: If it's I mean, I'm not going way down deep,
- 34:06Speaker 5: but uh, it's beautiful and it really like like I said,
- 34:11Speaker 5: it's once you've done it, it's you feel far safer
- 34:15Speaker 5: underneath there than you do snorkeling.
- 34:17Speaker 4: The only thing I will I will never do again
- 34:19Speaker 4: is cave diving.
- 34:20Speaker 3: Mm hmm, okay, what is that?
- 34:25Speaker 4: It's just it's where you go.
- 34:28Speaker 5: Diving into caves, and but at a certain point, you know,
- 34:34Speaker 5: you lose light and so you like you have like
- 34:37Speaker 5: a guide rope. It's the one time I like, I
- 34:40Speaker 5: freaked out and I had I had to turn around.
- 34:43Speaker 5: But at a certain point, because you have no reference,
- 34:45Speaker 5: you can't see light behind you or in front of you,
- 34:47Speaker 5: so you're just hoping you.
- 34:51Speaker 4: Down well or our front and back.
- 34:54Speaker 5: You're really and that that when you turn around, you're
- 34:57Speaker 5: because then you start thinking, what if I got dis warrented?
- 34:58Speaker 4: What if I'm turned around?
- 35:00Speaker 5: And I actually came close to running out of air
- 35:02Speaker 5: because I started going through my oxygen too fast, but
- 35:04Speaker 5: it got out in time.
- 35:06Speaker 4: Never do that again.
- 35:08Speaker 1: It actually makes sense to me, Trey, that you would
- 35:10Speaker 1: love scuba diving being underneath the water, because that's one
- 35:16Speaker 1: of the only places on the planet you can get
- 35:18Speaker 1: some goddamn peace and quiet. You can't hear your girlfriend
- 35:26Speaker 1: or why or whatever scream at you. You can't hear
- 35:28Speaker 1: any phone calls from your mom, Trey. When you're you know,
- 35:31Speaker 1: five hundred feet below the surface.
- 35:35Speaker 3: We're gonna call you Aquaman and Dan.
- 35:40Speaker 4: You just figured it out.
- 35:45Speaker 6: You're in the visit us online a treehouse on Air
- 35:50Speaker 6: dot Com.
- 35:51Speaker 1: It's like Trey gets lost and drowns while cave diving,
- 35:54Speaker 1: but when his body's found, he's still smiling because he's
- 35:56Speaker 1: still died doing what he loved, which was getting some
- 36:00Speaker 1: piece of quiet.
- 36:11Speaker 6: You're in the Treehouse. Listen us online at Treehouse on
- 36:15Speaker 6: air dot com.
- 36:23Speaker 1: This is already a good sign for us starting the week.
- 36:27Speaker 1: Is having so much fun in the plus episode this episode,
- 36:32Speaker 1: and we haven't even gotten to half the other stuff
- 36:34Speaker 1: that we could get to and the stuff we've been
- 36:36Speaker 1: talking about during the breaks. So I'm looking forward to
- 36:39Speaker 1: all things Treehouse this week. And there was one thing
- 36:44Speaker 1: that I saw today that was absolutely unexpected.
- 36:47Speaker 4: What is it, Raj?
- 36:48Speaker 3: No, No, I can tell when Trey has found the story. Okay,
- 36:54Speaker 3: coffin that spins save that.
- 36:57Speaker 1: I want the seated spinning coffe Yeah, that is. That
- 37:01Speaker 1: is now the teas for tomorrow. Okay, because I haven't
- 37:05Speaker 1: seen it. Trey, you've seen it, Raj, you're aware of it.
- 37:07Speaker 4: I have not.
- 37:08Speaker 1: I am unaware. I'm gonna save it for tomorrow. So
- 37:10Speaker 1: the seeded spinning coffin, that'll be tomorrow as it is
- 37:12Speaker 1: one last thing in the Treehouse. And it was unexpected
- 37:14Speaker 1: for me today, and it's going to be an interesting
- 37:17Speaker 1: surprise for the two of you as well. You guys
- 37:24Speaker 1: are aware of the hold that pumpkin spice has on
- 37:28Speaker 1: our country, right, well, okay, yep, it's well coffee, yeah, pumpky, yeah,
- 37:36Speaker 1: but not just the coffee, but pumpkin spice seasoning is
- 37:39Speaker 1: everywhere now. It's not just coffee. It's now infiltrated so
- 37:43Speaker 1: many other parts of our lives for those that love
- 37:46Speaker 1: the taste and the scent, right so much so that
- 37:50Speaker 1: it now includes pumpkin spice scented things that people are
- 37:57Speaker 1: searching for online and there are a number of surprises
- 38:02Speaker 1: in store for you. Okay, so Google released some data
- 38:06Speaker 1: on pumpkin spice related items that will shock you. In
- 38:10Speaker 1: many states, the most popular pumpkin spice scented items are
- 38:14Speaker 1: personal care things like soap, body wash, shampoo, deodorant, lotion,
- 38:20Speaker 1: lip products, and hair color which I didn't even know
- 38:24Speaker 1: hair color came in you know, flavors. Now, this includes
- 38:30Speaker 1: many people in the Midwest, Middle America, the Mountain Stakes
