  day. Through this podcast, you'll

  hear voices from across the region sharing devotionals that

  reminds us of God's presence in our everyday moments.

  This week we will join the Western Mediterranean field as
• 0:46
  they share about the team new wine.
• 0:48
  Across the field, they are witnessing a fresh movement of
• 0:51
  God within the body of Christ. People from around the world are
• 0:55
  coming together to celebrate and take part in what God is doing
• 0:59
  in these countries. Today we will listen to Diego
• 1:03
  Lopez. Diego is the field strategy
• 1:06
  coordinator of the Western Mediterranean Fields.
• 1:09
  In addition to this role, Diego is the District Superintendent
• 1:12
  for the Spanish District. For eight years, Diego LED the
• 1:15
  denomination's youth ministry across Eurasia's eight time
• 1:18
  zones with 27 official languages.
• 1:22
  He served youth in 40 counties across Europe, Middle East and
• 1:26
  South Asia who were in the midst of sacralization, persecution
• 1:31
  and discrimination. These include training 600 youth
• 1:34
  leaders across the region. Diego travels extensible across
• 1:38
  Western Europe, which lives now in Spain with his son Diego
• 1:42
  Junior and his wife Omera. You will introduce us to the
• 1:46
  team of this week New Wine. This week is our turn from West
• 1:52
  Med to share on the Everyday Eurasia podcast.
• 1:58
  And this week you'll be hearing from a number of us about what
• 2:01
  the Lord is doing. And we have decided to choose a
• 2:04
  theme, and the theme is new wine.
• 2:07
  And the reason we've chosen this thing is because we really feel
• 2:10
  the Lord has chosen to, to, to put grace upon us, put grace
• 2:15
  upon our work, to put grace on upon our districts and our local
• 2:20
  churches. We're really feeling that we're
• 2:23
  living in a new time in a new one in a, in a, in a new time in
• 2:27
  which the Lord is really blessing us.
• 2:29
  We've seen most of our churches literally having to push out the
• 2:33
  walls because they're packed. There's a lot of people coming
• 2:37
  to our churches and we are opening in places.
• 2:40
  We open in points in in places where we never had before, in
• 2:45
  cities that have been hostile to the gospel and today, and we're
• 2:49
  able to have presence in those places.
• 2:51
  We see the Lord bringing a whole generation of people across the
• 2:55
  world to help us to church here in West Med, to be a presence,
• 3:01
  to be fired, to be a fire. Then it will explode all over
• 3:05
  our field. We like this theme of the wine
• 3:09
  because we feel that is what the Lord is doing, is doing
• 3:12
  something new and we are very grateful for everything that has
• 3:16
  gone before. We seem that we have a many good
• 3:20
  leaders and many good choices and it's been made in this field
• 3:23
  and that is what it brought us to where we are today.
• 3:26
  In a place in which we are able to buy new buildings, in a
• 3:29
  places what we are able to open new churches, in a place of what
• 3:32
  we are able to refer some of our abilities thanks to mission
• 3:37
  teams and to the generosity of a church and our believers and the
• 3:41
  time when people give. So we have in places that are
• 3:45
  decent and then we can welcome these new growths that we see in
• 3:49
  our context. In the Old Testament, new one
• 3:54
  meant blessings and abundance, and the New Testament the gospel
• 3:59
  and a new covenant. And in Acts we see a sign of the
• 4:03
  Holy Spirit and we really feel across our field that we have
• 4:08
  all those three presents present.
• 4:11
  We see the blessings of the abundance of the Lord and we see
• 4:15
  this new covenant and that we're experiencing, but also we see a
• 4:21
  new generation of people stepping up.
• 4:24
  We have so many students going to the learning centers and we
• 4:28
  have people applying for these three licenses.
• 4:31
  We have people going for local licenses.
• 4:34
  We celebrating. We're going to have a, we're
• 4:38
  going to have a, a church planting conference later on
• 4:42
  this year in which we're going to expect them to have over 50
• 4:45
  people who have said we would like to start something new.
• 4:49
  And we have camps and our plasters are on fire.
• 4:52
  We have board rings. So I really feel that we're
• 4:57
  living in this time of a new covenant, new time in a new
• 5:00
  wine. And of course, somebody was
• 5:03
  making fun about this because in the West Med field in the Second
• 5:06
  World is known for having some of the best wine in the world.
• 5:11
  And we thought was a fun way also to explain to you that the
• 5:16
  Lord is doing something here in this field.
• 5:18
  And we have a fantastic team. We have a great team of
• 5:22
  missionaries in which we all working towards empowering the
• 5:26
  locals and helping people grow in their own context.
• 5:30
  That we have a great team of local pastors that they
• 5:34
  sacrificial the sacrifice and they made for the gospel is
• 5:38
  unbelievable. Many working 2 jobs and then
• 5:42
  having to also work at the church and trying to help build
• 5:45
  the church around teams. And we have a fantastic group of
• 5:49
  these three superintendents that are working across now of five
• 5:52
  countries. And because we have added in
• 5:56
  Greece recently and then for the, for the very first time in
• 6:00
  a long time, we are able to have a stable and worshipping
• 6:05
  community and a group of people that are gathering them in the
• 6:09
  name of the Lord. We're registering the church and
• 6:12
  we're moving forward in what the Lord is called us to do there.
• 6:16
  So I want to encourage you to pray for West Net to be
• 6:21
  encouraged. What's happening here in a place
• 6:24
  where some things were stopped, some things were starting, but
• 6:28
  also some of the things were growing and they would
• 6:30
  capitalizing all of them and able to help and feel move
• 6:33
  forward and and also see this movement of people because a lot
• 6:39
  of our growth have come from people coming from other
• 6:42
  continents, because we see that the law is moving people groups
• 6:48
  all over the world. They move them all over the
• 6:50
  world. And some of them already has the
• 6:52
  needs that come here to our cities, to Lisbon and to Madrid
• 6:56
  and to pirates and to and to Florence and to Athens.
• 7:00
  And some others are non believers that are moving here
• 7:03
  and they're seeking the Lord. And they find within the Church
• 7:06
  of the Nazarene family and and a place for them to worship, a
• 7:12
  place for them to meet Christ. So many of our people meet Jesus
• 7:16
  here in our continent. And our challenge is to
• 7:19
  challenge them to know that they were brought here for a purpose
• 7:23
  and a reason and to be missionaries in this land that
• 7:26
  the Lords are put in. So thank you.

  Pray for them, pray for our context, pray for our churches,
• 7:32
  pray for all the plans we have this year.
• 7:34
  We are planning to receive 300 young people from across the
• 7:39
  region. And we're hosting an NYC here in
• 7:41
  Spain. We having a church planting
• 7:44
  conference, we're hosting a mission missionary kids as well
• 7:49
  coming into this into into a field and in different events
• 7:53
  that now we feel we're able to do and we're able to host
• 7:56
  because we have some sort of strength and because we see that
• 8:00
  the lore is behind us with abundance with blessings and we
• 8:05
  don't need covenant and above all with the Holy Spirit and
• 8:08
