- 0:00Surprise and happy Thursday morning, everybody.
- 0:05It's so warm out here in St. Louis, MO Supposed to be close
- 0:10to 80° today, 80° and guess who's back?
- 0:17That's right, gutter man. Oh, hold on, it's not a gutter.
- 0:22It's what it's a downspout. Hey, Wallace, that's not a
- 0:27gutter, that's a downspout. I that's when you can tell
- 0:33you're bored when you're correcting somebody on what you
- 0:36perceive as that's not a gutter, that's a downspout.
- 0:40All right, everybody look at this green grass right here.
- 0:44That's a song. And look at oh, you know what I
- 0:47just realized? Look at this.
- 0:49If you look in it, you can see like raw wood.
- 0:54Look, look through that window right there.
- 0:56I've never, well, I've been up in my attic before.
- 0:58I've looked up in there, but that's, that's raw.
- 1:01It's just the attic up there. I've never, I've never looked up
- 1:07in there, but I've had my attic perfectly clean and, you know,
- 1:13made sure it was perfect. I guess I have looked up in
- 1:16there before, but never from the outside like that.
- 1:20All right, everybody, like I said, it's Thursday.
- 1:23I hear somebody cutting wood over in the Yonner in the
- 1:25Chattahoochee. Somebody over in the
- 1:27Chattahoochee cutting some wood out here.
- 1:29It's one of those old, older guys.
- 1:32Real good guy. It's like 8:30 in the morning.
- 1:35That son of a bitch is over 8:30 in the morning.
- 1:39Well, boy, we start working six. We go to breakfast at 5:00.
- 1:45Get out of bed. Hey, Wallace, what are you going
- 1:47to do, waste your life away? Get up, he's a good neighbor
- 1:53too. Hey neighbor, when you watch us,
- 1:55I love you buddy. He watches all this 8:30 in the
- 2:00damn morning. Hey balls, some of us go to
- 2:03work. You know I'll never forget Rusty
- 2:07said. Herman, what time you get up in
- 2:09the morning? I said brother, I get up
- 2:11whatever time I got to get up When I did TV it was like 4:00
- 2:15AM. You.
- 2:17Hey, hey, when you not go to sleep, y'all just want to stay
- 2:20awake our whole lives. We'll pass out.
- 2:22Hey, why'd you pass out? Because I fainted.
- 2:25I ain't slept. Look at, look at.
- 2:28Look at. Hey, what are you doing,
- 2:31youngin? Look at that.
- 2:34Louis the legend. What are you smelling?
- 2:37You know he's smelling deer poop, all right?
- 2:41Wow. What a monologue, huh?
- 2:45What's that? Y'all want another?
- 2:46Look at the gutter? The legend.
- 2:48Oh, downspout. Hey, respond right here with the
- 2:52controversial. Is it a gutter or downspout?
- 2:57OK, I want to point out something that I had noticed and
- 3:03and it's quite heartfelt. Yesterday or last night, Dale
- 3:09Junior got on a heater. Junior was on a heater last
- 3:12night on the social media site X.
- 3:16Now, as bad as I want you to go on there and just listen to what
- 3:22he had to say or even mark the kid, Martin from Batesville, AR,
- 3:29the social media site X. close your ears, kids.
- 3:34It's a show, but it's still the best place to go.
- 3:38You know, everybody goes, oh, X is horrible, but everybody's
- 3:42there. That's where all the fighting
- 3:45starts. That's where the complete racing
- 3:47industry is most likely. The happiest, funniest place to
- 3:52go on social media is Instagram. I laugh for days.
- 3:56Kim's like, Oh my God, you're laughing, you're crying.
- 3:58What is so funny? And I show her these videos on X
- 4:02or not X, but Instagram, Instagram's the best.
- 4:07X is the show Dale Earnhardt Junior was on ex last night and
- 4:15he said some heartfelt things. He was just he was on a roll.
- 4:18He was commenting on everything, but he was on a roll.
- 4:20But everything he said was very heartfelt.
- 4:23I woke up this morning and I saw that Lou Holtz, the great
- 4:29football coach, you know, Lou Holtz passed away and Lou
- 4:34Holtz's son showed a picture of their family following a a
- 4:40Hearst, you know, taking their they great Lou Holtz to his
- 4:44burial place and a very emotional text by Dale Junior
- 4:51late last night. He saw it.
- 4:52He saw the post of the family following Lou Holtz.
- 4:57And he said when dad died, which this is Dale junior, when Dale
- 5:01Junior says when dad died, Dale senior when he died, it was
- 5:05devastating. And everybody DEI was they
- 5:09didn't know what to do. Everybody was numb, so it was
- 5:13Dale Junior. Dale Junior said.
- 5:15I hired Lou Holtz to come speak, and he says he believes Lou
- 5:19Holtz saved their team. You know, save DEI.
- 5:25It just kind of tells you what kind of.
- 5:27I think what I'm trying to say is that's a look inside Dale
- 5:32Junior's brain. I've always said Dale Junior is
- 5:35a man that is wise beyond his years.
- 5:41You know, Dale Junior's 50 years old going on.
- 5:43He's got like an 80 year old brain, meaning he's smart.
- 5:47So I noticed that then, then the next thing that Dale Junior
- 5:54talked about was this, this Nashville Fairgrounds.
- 6:00I I really wish Nashville Fairgrounds would stay, but Dale
- 6:07Junior said he went there and practice for the Cars Tour race
- 6:12and he said when he got on the racetrack it was like going back
- 6:16in time I think. Dale Junior said he had not been
- 6:19on the racetrack since in the 90s and he said it felt good.
- 6:24It was almost like going home. Dale Junior going on the
- 6:27Nashville Fairgrounds. I really would like to see this
- 6:33racetrack stay there and I guess Dale Junior.
- 6:38One big take away. Dale Junior is very close to
- 6:41Marcus Smith. You can see this relationship on
- 6:44social media. Marcus Smith likes puts a heart
- 6:48on everything Dale Junior says. You know, every morning I get
- 6:52up, I look and and you know, Dale Junior say something and
- 6:54there'll be Marcus with a heart. And we know that Marcus, you
- 7:00know, love him to death and his wife Cassie, but he is doing
- 7:04everything he can do to save this Nashville Fairgrounds.
- 7:10Dale Junior says that Marcus has got a plan to put up a big sound
- 7:14barrier wall all the way around the racetrack.
- 7:17Now, if you don't think, if you don't think Marcus is working
- 7:23his butt off to try to save this Nashville Fairgrounds, think
- 7:26about that that. I mean, all we got to do is put
- 7:30a roof on it next, right? If Marcus can put a sound
- 7:34barrier all the way around than old Nashville Fairgrounds to
- 7:38make the mayor happy. And you know, it's at a point
- 7:42right now where the soccer people, the mayor, people, they
- 7:45hate the fairgrounds so much. They're just, they're just
- 7:48trying to pick on something. And every time the mayor or the
- 7:53people in Nashville pick on the old Nashville Fairgrounds, then
- 7:57Marcus just says, OK, we'll do this.
- 7:59OK, we'll do that. But really intriguing switching
- 8:07subjects to Mark the Kid Martin out of Batesville, AR Mark
- 8:14Martin has recently come out in a post and he's been over in
- 8:19Charlotte a lot lately. Mark Martin has said something I
- 8:22think's worth repeating. Of course, everything Mark says
- 8:26is worth repeating. But Mark Martin says I'm
- 8:29understanding everything a lot more.
- 8:32I've been to the NASCAR R&D center.
- 8:34He says now I understand why the towers are so wide.
- 8:38Now I know why the rear of the car is short, shorter.
- 8:41But now I want to drive it to better understand it.
- 8:47That's it. I just want you to know.
- 8:49Mark Martin says he understands why NASCAR is doing everything
- 8:52now because he went and talked to him.
- 8:57Sometimes you don't want to talk to people because it ruins all
- 8:59the drama. Right now, Mark says he
- 9:02understands everything. There's a lesson to be learned,
- 9:07right? To everybody.
- 9:09Mike Kelton always said to me, Herman, if you got a question
- 9:13about something, just call me. I'm like, no, I'd rather talk
- 9:16about it, Mike. But I do call them or they call
- 9:20me. All right, everybody have a
- 9:23great Thursday.
