- 0:57Speaker 2: I got a three year old and a one year old.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Shuram has a.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Six six going on seven months, going on seven. Yes, sir,
- 1:04Speaker 3: let's go.

- 1:17Speaker 1: Shout out everybody following. And again we're on We're on
- 1:19Speaker 1: all the channels. We're even on for the for the
- 1:21Speaker 1: older PT six members out there.
- 1:23Speaker 3: We are on Facebook, very active Facebook page, Facebook page.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Yeah, and that that.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Goes with the brand. That's very dad centric. I love that.
- 1:34Speaker 1: And you know, the one that's been firing me up
- 1:36Speaker 1: is again if you're listening right now, audio channels, if
- 1:38Speaker 1: you're watching us on YouTube, the one that's been firing
- 1:41Speaker 1: me up the most, you guys know, Spotify. I went
- 1:43Speaker 1: in last week. I know we had our episode. By
- 1:46Speaker 1: the way, shout out to all PT six for consuming
- 1:49Speaker 1: that episode. I told a story about Rue having a seizure.
- 1:53Speaker 1: I got a couple of things wrong on the story.
- 1:56Speaker 1: My wife, My beautiful wife, Charlie. She corrected me almost immediately.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Oh good, yeah, coming those shoes laughing.
- 2:02Speaker 3: She said her stomach was hurting about the bear story
- 2:04Speaker 3: that we told.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Yeah, but she had a.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Report for me after hearing the way I told that story.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Oh okay, a lot of it true. I just got
- 2:11Speaker 1: a couple of things off, a couple facts off, and
- 2:13Speaker 1: I did go in. I went into the Spotify comments, which,
- 2:15Speaker 1: by the way, ninety six last I looked ninety six
- 2:18Speaker 1: Spotify comments.
- 2:18Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 2:19Speaker 2: People are flooding Spotify.
- 2:20Speaker 1: People are flooding the YouTube comments.
- 2:24Speaker 2: But I went in.
- 2:24Speaker 1: I woke up and when I got the MT six
- 2:26Speaker 1: APR and if you guys aren't familiar with that, that's
- 2:29Speaker 1: the Milk Team six after pod report.
- 2:32Speaker 2: So once I got the APR, she kind of told me,
- 2:34Speaker 2: She's like.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Hey, sweet Art, Rue wasn't a year and a half
- 2:37Speaker 3: a year old, she was eight months old.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Like, okay, I missed big miss on that. So I
- 2:41Speaker 1: went into the comments, Papa Team six, it's Willie one
- 2:43Speaker 1: show here. Hand up, I got it wrong. Ru was
- 2:46Speaker 1: eight months she wasn't a year and a half and
- 2:48Speaker 1: another thing I did get wrong, which makes sense because
- 2:51Speaker 1: as I was telling the story, it's bringing a lot
- 2:53Speaker 1: of emotion into going in and having the emotional the
- 2:57Speaker 1: emotional moments I was having, Like once I got to
- 2:59Speaker 1: the hospital, yeah, I didn't know, I said. The firefighter
- 3:02Speaker 1: told me she had had a seizure. We did not
- 3:04Speaker 1: know what was going on with Rue. We just knew
- 3:06Speaker 1: that she was unresponsive. Yeah for a big amount of time.
- 3:11Speaker 1: She started talking, but she was very out of it.
- 3:14Speaker 1: They didn't know what was going on. So you know,
- 3:16Speaker 1: as she's going over there in the ambulance and you
- 3:18Speaker 1: were sprinting to the hospital, did not know at that
- 3:21Speaker 1: point that she had had a seizure. Because I was like,
- 3:25Speaker 1: I want to say last week if I remember it,
- 3:26Speaker 1: I was like, hey, the fire the firefighter, whoever had
- 3:29Speaker 1: the phone.
- 3:29Speaker 3: It's like, we're just telling you that. Yeah, but that
- 3:32Speaker 3: wasn't the case that you gott We were we were, Yeah,
- 3:35Speaker 3: we were in the dark.
- 3:36Speaker 1: And so when we got there, and again I explained
- 3:39Speaker 1: this emotional story, so I'm kind of keeping it lighter
- 3:42Speaker 1: so I don't get into that box against Yeah. Yeah,
- 3:45Speaker 1: but yeah, going over there, we had no clue what
- 3:47Speaker 1: was going on with her. So then when we get
- 3:48Speaker 1: into the hospital and the moments that I'm talking about
- 3:50Speaker 1: where she's plugged in with ivs and needle and they're
- 3:53Speaker 1: getting all their vitals, we have no clue what happened.
- 3:57Speaker 1: So when she's doing whether it's a blood test, you're
- 3:59Speaker 1: in test all these things to try and eliminate what
- 4:02Speaker 1: it could have possibly been. Yeah, again, it's like, uh,
- 4:04Speaker 1: we're just kind of subtracting things as we Once she
- 4:07Speaker 1: was in the hospital and got you know, the the
- 4:10Speaker 1: brain stuff attached to her head, that's when we're learning
- 4:12Speaker 1: that it could be that it could have been a seizure.
- 4:15Speaker 1: So again that's the empty six APR.
- 4:18Speaker 3: So if we're just gonna grade Will on his dad
- 4:21Speaker 3: brain there, I don't think too bad. You were only
- 4:23Speaker 3: eight months off on her age.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:26Speaker 3: And then uh, you learned information later in the story
- 4:30Speaker 3: than what you had told.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Hey, but again, all dads know we have the ability.
- 4:38Speaker 1: I wasn't trying to exaggerate the story in this particular
- 4:40Speaker 1: sense to make it funny or anything else, but old
- 4:43Speaker 1: dads know they do their best on telling stories.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Yeah, then their wife comes into the room.
- 4:48Speaker 1: He said this like that's not what happened at all,
- 4:52Speaker 1: and what I was talking about it is exactly you
- 4:55Speaker 1: missed this part. You missed that part. Okay, I might
- 4:57Speaker 1: have missed I might have missed that, but I kind
- 4:59Speaker 1: of got the the overview of the entire story.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Just unlocked a memory of when we were at that
- 5:04Speaker 3: Halloween party and you're holding Scotti and you're telling Jill
- 5:09Speaker 3: some story and I forget You're like, oh, yeah, she
- 5:12Speaker 3: was six months in Charrow from the raft will. She
- 5:17Speaker 3: was like a year and a half, six months, year
- 5:21Speaker 3: and a half. I died, dude.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it was something with Rue. I forget what that.
- 5:26Speaker 3: But she's on the other side of the room. She's
- 5:29Speaker 3: six months old. She was a year and a half.
- 5:33Speaker 3: You know, she was a baby. Oh dude.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Good times. But we got a big snow day. If
- 5:40Speaker 1: you're in Nashville, Tennessee, big snow weekend coming up this weekend.
- 5:43Speaker 2: We'll get in, yes, sure, and went to the zoo
- 5:45Speaker 2: over the weekend against saw Zutopia.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Two boys. Just a fleeting thought. Derek the Funkle brought
- 5:53Speaker 1: this to our attention. If we want to start thinking
- 5:55Speaker 1: about Valentine's Day, we should start thinking about it now. Oh,
- 6:00Speaker 1: I see this as advice and encouragement. Will also knowing
- 6:04Speaker 1: in my heart of hearts that won't probably happen until
- 6:08Speaker 1: maybe the super Bowl happens, and then it's like, oh shit,
- 6:11Speaker 1: we got Valentine's Day next weekend.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Yes, sports take a pause for just that hair of
- 6:15Speaker 3: a second, which is perfect timing for Valentine's Day. It's
- 6:18Speaker 3: a nice little window right there that all men get
- 6:20Speaker 3: reminded that God this holiday. Man, Oh yeah, you gotta
- 6:24Speaker 3: do the dinner thing. Chef had a great note on
- 6:27Speaker 3: his Valentine's Day debacle. He already signed up for a
- 6:31Speaker 3: pretty Yeah you got.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Reservations for it at a very expensive spot. You didn't
- 6:36Speaker 1: know it was an expensive spot, but now you're learning
- 6:37Speaker 1: after the fact that you booked the reservation, Like you're
- 6:40Speaker 1: gonna need some coin going into this.
- 6:42Speaker 4: Place this Saturday after a week long trip to Miami.
- 6:45Speaker 4: Not only that, ooh ooh, Chef, but hey, Valentine's Day,
- 6:50Speaker 4: the missus deserves it.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Yeah, she's the best.
- 6:53Speaker 4: I love her dearly. Yeah, I'm very excited, and it's okay.
- 6:56Speaker 4: Money will be.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Follow up with me on this because we all know
- 7:00Speaker 3: I'm gonna forget.
- 7:02Speaker 1: But for the dads. We can support you on this day.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, that's why you're asking. That's not why
- 7:07Speaker 1: you even told this. But I'm just telling you now
- 7:10Speaker 1: we can throw some support your way. Yeah yeah, yeah yeah,
- 7:12Speaker 1: but follow up because I'll forget for dessert and don't
- 7:16Speaker 1: feel like you're nagging me, Like, hey, you said support,
- 7:18Speaker 1: Does that mean you're gonna throw me some cash?
- 7:20Speaker 4: Like I know, don't be afraid demanded, The stubbornness of
- 7:23Speaker 4: me is like, no, it's okay, but I will follow.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Up with you.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Okay, good news. On Valentine's they were dropping some some
- 7:32Speaker 1: new merch.
- 7:33Speaker 3: We're wearing it right now. We got some busting gear
- 7:35Speaker 3: on the back. What's it say on the back against
- 7:38Speaker 3: your It says busting your hold on. Let me, I
- 7:43Speaker 3: took a picture.
- 7:43Speaker 5: You're forever.
- 7:44Speaker 3: You're my forever rodeo.
- 7:46Speaker 2: You're my forever road.
- 7:47Speaker 3: You're my forever rodeo. Dude, imagine gifting that to wife
- 7:51Speaker 3: you on Valentine's. I gotta be honest. For any of
- 7:54Speaker 3: the pet sikos that are listening or empty siccos on audio,
- 7:59Speaker 3: please go to some kind of video format, whether it's
- 8:02Speaker 3: YouTube or Spotify. You have to see the shirt that
- 8:05Speaker 3: Will is wearing. I told Garrett, who's in charge of
- 8:07Speaker 3: our merch here at Bustin, that is officially my favorite
- 8:11Speaker 3: shirt we've ever made, hands down.
- 8:14Speaker 1: And if you are a Papa Team Siko out there
- 8:16Speaker 1: and your wife is aware that you consume this show,
- 8:19Speaker 1: and maybe you're a little much with the show to
- 8:21Speaker 1: where you might not have bridged the gap for her
- 8:24Speaker 1: to come on board fully for Milk six or maybe
- 8:26Speaker 1: she's flirting with Milk Team six, or maybe she is
- 8:28Speaker 1: an empty sixer. Yeah, but give to a sweetheart. You know,
- 8:32Speaker 1: I love this show, dude. Look at this. Look at
- 8:35Speaker 1: this merchandise that they have in the store BWTV dot.
- 8:38Speaker 3: Com, ewtv dot com. Because I'm telling you, you will
- 8:40Speaker 3: be wrapping the show obviously if you wear that shirt.
- 8:43Speaker 3: But that is a cool shirt. Yeah in hen raul minte,
- 8:46Speaker 3: which is Spanish for in general.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Yeah, you can embrace the brand while giving all the
- 8:52Speaker 1: praise to your wife.
- 8:52Speaker 2: You were my forever rodeo.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Yes, and I for Anyptsikos out there, they are going, Will,
- 8:58Speaker 3: what about my wife, She's a she's already bought in.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Look no further, I got a Milk Team Milk Team
- 9:06Speaker 3: six shirt.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Just sit on the front, in the front centered written
- 9:10Speaker 1: Milk Team six and then on the back on milk
- 9:12Speaker 1: Team six on duty all.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Day, all day.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, you can see you're doing a good job.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Thank you, sir, You're doing a good job. And we
- 9:21Speaker 3: have some new girl dad hats on.
- 9:24Speaker 2: These are new.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Yeah, don't sleep on the news.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Bures me all the neew merch bwtv dot com. We
- 9:30Speaker 1: have a lot of things to get through. We uh
- 9:33Speaker 1: proposed a question on last episode. Uh just threw it
- 9:36Speaker 1: out their hardest thing about being a parent. We have
- 9:38Speaker 1: a couple comments that we're gonna read from that. We
- 9:40Speaker 1: also have our voicemail or hotline that you can call
- 9:42Speaker 1: into six and one the dads where you jump in.
- 9:45Speaker 1: You you call the hot line, you tell a story,
- 9:47Speaker 1: whether it's a win, loss, a dad hack, something you're cracking,
- 9:50Speaker 1: a cold one too, like a good quality moment. Just
- 9:53Speaker 1: you're just telling us something, a little story about you
- 9:55Speaker 1: and embracing the BT six fatherhood. You can do that
- 9:59Speaker 1: and when you do get featured on the hot line,
- 10:02Speaker 1: the voicemail or now email, we will send you merch.
- 10:06Speaker 1: So if you get featured on the show, we will
- 10:08Speaker 1: also reach out to you, send you some merchandise for free,
- 10:12Speaker 1: and all you gotta do engage, engage with the pod.
- 10:14Speaker 1: But we got comments from YouTube, Spotify, the hot line,
- 10:17Speaker 1: the email Again, if you can't if you're international and
- 10:21Speaker 1: you can't reach the hot line, or you simply don't
- 10:23Speaker 1: want to call in and tell a story using your voice,
- 10:26Speaker 1: you feel much better articulating it and writing it down
- 10:29Speaker 1: via email six oh onededads at gmail dot com.
- 10:33Speaker 2: You can do that. We have emails.
- 10:35Speaker 1: We got a wifey shout out here, we got new
- 10:37Speaker 1: dad shout outs, we got a lot to get through.
- 10:39Speaker 3: We got husband shout outs. I have a husband, a
- 10:42Speaker 3: PT six shout out from his wife.
- 10:44Speaker 1: I love having that iteration in our show because now
- 10:50Speaker 1: we have been getting shout outs, whether it's a mom
- 10:52Speaker 1: or a dad's birthday, or they just want to throw
- 10:55Speaker 1: love to their partner's way via through a show or
- 10:58Speaker 1: a platform like ourselves. We did gets a pushback last week.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Wasn't somebody upset that we didn't read that we didn't
- 11:05Speaker 1: read like a shout out for.
- 11:07Speaker 3: Oh, her husband? Is that the one that in question?
- 11:10Speaker 6: I believe, so we had and so I I have
- 11:14Speaker 6: reached out and everything We had a happy birthday shout
- 11:17Speaker 6: out on Christmas Eve from an empty sixer that I
- 11:21Speaker 6: tried to explain it we missed because the episode had
- 11:23Speaker 6: dropped that week. The next week was best of and
- 11:25Speaker 6: then we came back on the first of it.
- 11:27Speaker 2: The guy got lost in them. He got lost in
- 11:29Speaker 2: the sauce.
- 11:30Speaker 3: He got a little loss on the birthday had happened
- 11:31Speaker 3: well and so, and he's he's not blaming me, he's
- 11:34Speaker 3: being very kind too. But I have an added weight
- 11:38Speaker 3: in this because our last two episodes we because of time,
- 11:43Speaker 3: I cut an email on both of those episodes. It
- 11:48Speaker 3: just so happened to be this one that got both
- 11:51Speaker 3: what was the what was the what was like the
- 11:54Speaker 3: reaction or the empty sixer being like ah.
- 11:57Speaker 6: The guy wrote us and said, hey guys, I want
- 12:00Speaker 6: to let you know I just got an earful through text. Basically,
- 12:02Speaker 6: the wife's like, look at all these birthday shout outs
- 12:04Speaker 6: there doing.
- 12:05Speaker 3: She's like, I swear.
- 12:06Speaker 6: I wrote one in I swear, and she sent it
- 12:08Speaker 6: on every channel in a good way. And so I
- 12:11Speaker 6: reached out to him and I just said, man, we
- 12:12Speaker 6: have it. I was like, here's why it didn't get read.
- 12:15Speaker 6: It will get read and send me your address. We'll
- 12:17Speaker 6: send you a shirt. And so that guy is getting
- 12:19Speaker 6: a little bit of merch. She fought the hard fight.
- 12:21Speaker 6: He said, Look, I love you guys, but I'm getting
- 12:23Speaker 6: an earful from the wifey.
- 12:24Speaker 1: He got an earful from the wife feet. It was
- 12:26Speaker 1: supposed to be a surprise to him. Surprise doesn't up
- 12:28Speaker 1: and he gets earful from the wifeyet because he's probably like,
- 12:30Speaker 1: oh man, it'd be cool if my maybe my wife
- 12:32Speaker 1: writes in.
- 12:33Speaker 2: But we also can't have that pressure put on us.
- 12:35Speaker 1: No, no, no, we can't have the expectation if we miss
- 12:37Speaker 1: a couple birthday show like there's this is this is
- 12:40Speaker 1: a growing community and what.
- 12:41Speaker 2: We can't guys, we're just guys.
- 12:43Speaker 3: What we can't do. We can't start acting like toddlers.
- 12:45Speaker 3: We're parents, we're adults. Yeah, yeah, you got to know
- 12:47Speaker 3: that some stuff we're gonna miss, it's gonna get lost
- 12:48Speaker 3: in the fray a little bit. We do. We hate that,
- 12:51Speaker 3: trust me. We want to shout everybody hate it. We
- 12:54Speaker 3: hate missing moments for people.
- 12:56Speaker 4: Yeah, the best issue to have because we have so
- 12:58Speaker 4: many awesome people writing in and in turn we can't
- 13:01Speaker 4: get to everyone. But we want to Derek's obast on
- 13:04Speaker 4: the phone. If any of you guys were here here
- 13:06Speaker 4: for the early days when I was running, I had
- 13:08Speaker 4: the phone, it's we've improved a lot. So this is
- 13:14Speaker 4: a This is a band of.
- 13:15Speaker 3: Four right here. It's a band of four, four idiots. Yeah, truly,
- 13:19Speaker 3: we're figuring it out as we go. Every time you
- 13:21Speaker 3: say we are not experts, I want to say and
- 13:23Speaker 3: we'll prove it to you too. Yeah, stay tuned.
- 13:26Speaker 6: We're also currently figuring out the email hat situation. So
- 13:29Speaker 6: in the juxtaposition of we're figuring out we have been
- 13:33Speaker 6: jumping through some the solution for that.
- 13:36Speaker 3: No, we're gonna have to.
- 13:37Speaker 6: Get a bundle of hats and mail them out ourselves here,
- 13:39Speaker 6: I guess, because we can't only ship to Canada, and
- 13:42Speaker 6: so thank you guys all for making life out.
- 13:44Speaker 3: We're gonna send some to Scandinavia, but shipped from the
- 13:47Speaker 3: warehouse Internationale. So we have to send that dude this
- 13:52Speaker 3: office and then we will ship the internationally, which I
- 13:56Speaker 3: love that solve again.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Group them in. It's a group of men and all
- 14:02Speaker 2: dads and all moms. No listening to this.
- 14:05Speaker 1: This is how things can operate at times. Man we
- 14:08Speaker 1: write checks, our.
- 14:09Speaker 3: Ass can't cash.
- 14:10Speaker 1: We get ourselves in some pickles. Yea to where then
- 14:13Speaker 1: we're getting the ear full from wifey.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:15Speaker 1: I could have done that a lot better. I could
- 14:16Speaker 1: have went I could have went about that a lot better.
- 14:18Speaker 1: I did say I was going to do this for
- 14:20Speaker 1: so and so. I just forgot. Yeah, Dad, bring kicks in.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Oh she was eight months old, she wasn't a year
- 14:24Speaker 1: and a half.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Yeah, assume me.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Yeah, we do. We want to, We want to. Let's
- 14:30Speaker 3: get into let's let's do some some some parenthood before
- 14:33Speaker 3: before the birth, before the birthday.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Shoutouts, let's do some Parentokay.
- 14:36Speaker 3: Please don't forget.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Yeah, we can't forget. And by the way, felas we do,
- 14:41Speaker 1: got to keep this one under an hour. We gotta
- 14:43Speaker 1: keep this episode under an hour.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Perfect, it's perfect, all right?
- 14:47Speaker 1: So last week pose the question hardest part about parenthood?
- 14:51Speaker 1: Oh yeah, something that we juggle with in our brains
- 14:54Speaker 1: as we're driving, as we try you know, anytime I
- 14:56Speaker 1: feel like new parents are parents, you're in some of
- 14:58Speaker 1: these deeper conversations.
- 14:59Speaker 2: You're trying to our articulate what parenthood is.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Why it's hard, It doesn't seem fun to do, but
- 15:04Speaker 1: it's also the greatest thing in the world. It's always
- 15:06Speaker 1: hard to just I'm always trying to find like an
- 15:09Speaker 1: articulation of how I would answer that question. But we
- 15:11Speaker 1: had some write ends. This one's from Caleb Gross. Just
- 15:15Speaker 1: got a chance to finish deisode.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Early Monday morning.
- 15:18Speaker 1: My opinion on the hardest thing about parenthood, aside from
- 15:21Speaker 1: all the sleepless nights and arguments with the independent toddlers,
- 15:24Speaker 1: it's definitely watching them grow up. It's the best thing
- 15:28Speaker 1: and the hardest thing at the same time. You want
- 15:30Speaker 1: them to stay little forever, but you were setting them
- 15:33Speaker 1: up and teaching them to be their own little person. Dude,
- 15:35Speaker 1: I could not agree more. I don't know how many
- 15:38Speaker 1: one on one conversations I have with through when we
- 15:40Speaker 1: talk about like when our third birthday was coming up.
- 15:42Speaker 2: I remember a car ride.
- 15:43Speaker 1: We were doing pizza Friday, so we were on a
- 15:45Speaker 1: drive going to our pizza spots. Shout out a home team,
- 15:48Speaker 1: no free shoutouts to home team, very big shout out, Yeah,
- 15:51Speaker 1: very big shout out to them. But we were on
- 15:53Speaker 1: the way back and we were talking about a birthday
- 15:55Speaker 1: and it's like, I know you're going to be three,
- 15:57Speaker 1: and I was trying to be more optimistic about her
- 16:00Speaker 1: turning three, even though I'm battling all these internal battles. Oh,
- 16:03Speaker 1: I want her to say, my little girl absolutely forever.
- 16:08Speaker 1: I want her to be my little bundle of joy forever.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Because we also have this digital picture frame at the
- 16:14Speaker 1: house that goes through a lot of old photos. So
- 16:16Speaker 1: every day I'm seeing all these old photos of ru
- 16:18Speaker 1: and I just smiled like.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Oh, look at little baby Ruver.
- 16:21Speaker 1: And Rue comes over and looks. So I'm being optimistic
- 16:23Speaker 1: to her about her turning three. And we're kind of
- 16:26Speaker 1: sitting there and we're on the final stretch down down,
- 16:30Speaker 1: cut that part out down, We're on the final stretch
- 16:33Speaker 1: down to the house, and Rude just hits me with
- 16:39Speaker 1: that a you're sad that I'm turning three, And I'm like, sweetheart,
- 16:43Speaker 1: I am said that you turning three?
- 16:45Speaker 2: Well, why you said? I'm just like sweethearted.
- 16:47Speaker 1: It's hard to explain, like, I'm so happy you're getting
- 16:50Speaker 1: bigger and you're able to do the things that you're
- 16:53Speaker 1: wanting to do, whether it's put words together, sentences together,
- 16:57Speaker 1: like write and get better, climb stuff, jump off things,
- 17:00Speaker 1: grow taller, get stronger, get faster. She loves being faster,
- 17:04Speaker 1: get better at dancing. But Dad, Dad struggles with the
- 17:08Speaker 1: fact that you are growing up in front of me,
- 17:10Speaker 1: because one day she's like, oh Dad, you know she
- 17:15Speaker 1: said something about I'll be little for you right now,
- 17:18Speaker 1: and I'm like, I know you will, But I just
- 17:20Speaker 1: play this story and movie in my head of you're
- 17:23Speaker 1: gonna grow up one day and you're not gonna be
- 17:25Speaker 1: with dad at anymore, like in our house, Like one
- 17:28Speaker 1: day you're gonna grow and you're gonna be liked at
- 17:29Speaker 1: You're gonna be like Mama Tour. You're our size and
- 17:31Speaker 1: you're that age, and you're gonna have little kids of
- 17:34Speaker 1: your own. And that makes me sad. It makes me
- 17:36Speaker 1: happy and it makes me sad all the same time.
- 17:39Speaker 1: I feel all of these emotions, like as you continue
- 17:41Speaker 1: to get older and when you're you're there with scarlet now,
- 17:45Speaker 1: but when it's scarlet, it's it's one month at a time.
- 17:48Speaker 1: You get just get sad that months are kind of
- 17:50Speaker 1: going a little faster. And then it gets to the
- 17:51Speaker 1: year marks two and a half, three and a half,
- 17:55Speaker 1: and it just feels like time flies, bro. And so
- 17:59Speaker 1: where's like Sodad is happy Insid. I'm like, yeah, I'm
- 18:01Speaker 1: both happy, and I am really happy that you're turning three.
- 18:04Speaker 1: I can't wait for you to be three. It's gonna
- 18:05Speaker 1: be an awesome year. But that it gets really sad
- 18:08Speaker 1: just seeing you grow up. It's it's it's the saddest
- 18:10Speaker 1: thing in the world. And I love Caleb's ride in
- 18:13Speaker 1: because that is very hard about parenthood because you just
- 18:16Speaker 1: get so family's incredible. You just get so connected emotionally
- 18:21Speaker 1: everything and you just pour into your little to your
- 18:24Speaker 1: little kiddos and just seeing them get older and put
- 18:27Speaker 1: their first sentences together and teach you things when they
- 18:29Speaker 1: come home from school and you just see the development happening.
- 18:33Speaker 1: And because she's right, she went into school today and
- 18:36Speaker 1: they have to bring in something every week to do,
- 18:37Speaker 1: like the alphabet. This week was the letter I. So
- 18:40Speaker 1: she said dinner.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Last night like I, eh, eh, eh, book like that
- 18:47Speaker 3: doesn't start that doesn't start with I. She's pretty close
- 18:51Speaker 3: yeah eh, and.
- 18:54Speaker 1: She beck igloo like that. That is one that is
- 18:57Speaker 1: one we can't make an igloo. We can't bring an
- 18:58Speaker 1: igloo into school. But to figure out.
- 19:02Speaker 3: What you're going to bring in for like show and
- 19:04Speaker 3: tail or, do over the letter. I could do a
- 19:06Speaker 3: marshmallowglue with toothpicks.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, saying in this morning at breakfast, she got
- 19:12Speaker 1: done with breakfast, I kind of screwed her little chair
- 19:14Speaker 1: over because she's going to do an illustration. So she
- 19:18Speaker 1: draws basically the family. She draws Mom, Mama, Dad, Dad, Waffle,
- 19:22Speaker 1: Rue and Scottie. And then I'm walking her through writing
- 19:26Speaker 1: illustration on the top because she knows the alphabet pretty well.
- 19:29Speaker 3: She has how to write every letter. She's got her
- 19:31Speaker 3: own little way right in.
- 19:32Speaker 1: It kind of reminds you of Toy Story where it's
- 19:34Speaker 1: got the writing on the bottom of each foot. Yeah,
- 19:37Speaker 1: kind of the broken the broken letters. And I'm like,
- 19:39Speaker 1: I l L, I could spell illustration. But she's writes
- 19:45Speaker 1: the illustration across the top, and as a three year old,
- 19:47Speaker 1: they write big letters, so it's not all going to
- 19:50Speaker 1: fit across the top. So then for illustration the TiO in,
- 19:53Speaker 1: she has to skew it down to the side. She
- 19:55Speaker 1: just writes TiO in down the steppic And I'm just
- 19:58Speaker 1: sitting there looking at this this illus with illustration written
- 20:02Speaker 1: over the top down to the side, and I'm just
- 20:04Speaker 1: staring at it. Trying to take it in because it's like, man,
- 20:07Speaker 1: she's just growing up, and her handwriting is gonna get better. Yeah,
- 20:11Speaker 1: her drawings are gonna get better. And at some point
- 20:13Speaker 1: she's gonna be she's not gonna be satisfied with having
- 20:17Speaker 1: to bend the word, and she's gonna want it to
- 20:19Speaker 1: fit on the top of the page, and that's gonna
- 20:21Speaker 1: make her frustrated. I'm just gonna remember the times where
- 20:24Speaker 1: there was so much innocence and you trying to figure.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Out how to write illustration across the paper. Uh huh,
- 20:28Speaker 2: you know what I mean.
- 20:29Speaker 3: She's gonna have a ruler, she's gonna be spacing out.
- 20:33Speaker 1: I gotta redo this, and then one day it's gonna
- 20:35Speaker 1: be writing your name and date and it's out the
- 20:38Speaker 1: top left of the top right corner because you're in
- 20:40Speaker 1: grade school or you're in your school or high school.
- 20:44Speaker 1: And I'm just gonna be thinking about back to the
- 20:46Speaker 1: time where we're just trying to figure out how to
- 20:48Speaker 1: fit illustration on the top of your construction paper.
- 20:53Speaker 3: I'm only at the beginning points of it. You you brought
- 20:56Speaker 3: up with Scarlett. I have felt it, but to a
- 21:00Speaker 3: very minor degree of what you're feeling right now. But
- 21:04Speaker 3: it's it's starting with her hair growth. I know that's
- 21:07Speaker 3: like a weird place to go, but it's like very visible.
- 21:11Speaker 3: It's like being able to mow your lawn and like
- 21:14Speaker 3: seeing the work that you've done. Her hair growing, it's
- 21:17Speaker 3: every day. I'm like, it's longer every day. Yeah, you're
- 21:22Speaker 3: a new person, Like I hate this, yeah, but I'm
- 21:25Speaker 3: so excited that her hair's coming in and that we're
- 21:29Speaker 3: playing with it in back time and stuff. But also
- 21:32Speaker 3: I'm like, you were just you were bald, you have
- 21:34Speaker 3: no hair. No, oh my god, gott he.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Now we're messing with a little ponytail to where it's
- 21:39Speaker 1: just she looks like a little Who from Doctor Suit,
- 21:42Speaker 1: like a Doctor Seus's book where she's got her little ponytail,
- 21:44Speaker 1: but it sticks straight up and you get you just
- 21:47Speaker 1: you love them because it's so adorable.
- 21:48Speaker 2: But it's also like, oh, you're getting hair now. Yeah.
- 21:52Speaker 1: And even though like to you when you're like, oh,
- 21:54Speaker 1: that's kind of myn like mine feels minor in comparison
- 21:57Speaker 1: to what you're going through.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Dude.
- 21:59Speaker 1: It's all whether you have a newborn a toddler and
- 22:02Speaker 1: I just have a toddler right now. But I'm assuming
- 22:04Speaker 1: every parent that goes through whatever iteration of life that
- 22:06Speaker 1: they're in, it's all the same emotion and the same feeling.
- 22:10Speaker 1: So when she rolls over to her belly for the
- 22:12Speaker 1: first time, it's just like it's it's pandemonium in the house.
- 22:16Speaker 1: When her hair is grown, when she starts saying dad,
- 22:19Speaker 1: they are Mama for the or they're just their first word,
- 22:22Speaker 1: or just consonants, they're just making sounds. It's like pandemonium
- 22:25Speaker 1: in those moments. You gotta try and bottle them up
- 22:28Speaker 1: because there's gonna be the next thing.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Yeah, the country I'm I will never tell you to
- 22:33Speaker 3: put a country song on, and I will never tell
- 22:36Speaker 3: you to turn off a country song. That's where I
- 22:38Speaker 3: stand with country. Yeah, I know it and I like it,
- 22:43Speaker 3: But those like those don't grow up little girl type
- 22:48Speaker 3: of like songs down they're hitting, dude, they truly are hitting.
- 22:54Speaker 1: We just had Luke Combs on the bus that which
- 22:56Speaker 1: will release in like early March, I believe. But just
- 23:00Speaker 1: sitting and talking with Luke Combs and you can tell
- 23:02Speaker 1: he's just he.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Loves Fatherhood yep.
- 23:04Speaker 1: And he brought up this album which I was fired
- 23:06Speaker 1: up about but it's called fathers and father and sons
- 23:09Speaker 1: or fathers and Sons.
- 23:10Speaker 3: Yes.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Another one that's just like it just has you living
- 23:14Speaker 1: in all the like your relationship with your parents, like
- 23:16Speaker 1: you being a parent ties it all together. There's that
- 23:19Speaker 1: one from Post Malone that I've brought up about his
- 23:22Speaker 1: baby girl growing up and she's getting married, that I'll
- 23:24Speaker 1: just have you if you're a girl.
- 23:26Speaker 2: Dad, you're in tears listening to that song.
- 23:28Speaker 3: That is the exact song that I was referencing. I
- 23:32Speaker 3: didn't know if I could say Luke Combs by I'm
- 23:34Speaker 3: glad you brought it up. The I hope he doesn't
- 23:37Speaker 3: find find out that I didn't hang the man that
- 23:41Speaker 3: song about yeah, hone Jill, that was like her song
- 23:46Speaker 3: during pregnancy, and she would cry every time. I never cried,
- 23:50Speaker 3: not once. And then when we booked Luke Combs, she
- 23:54Speaker 3: was like, honey, he's the guy, like I'm obsessed with him.
- 23:57Speaker 3: He's the guy that I was like, we'll play the song.
- 23:59Speaker 3: I don't remember the song, bro. I made it to
- 24:05Speaker 3: the first chorus and I was like, oh, Lee, dude,
- 24:08Speaker 3: I'm starting to feel these things now, like this.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Is and those feelings are the greatest thing in the world. Yeah,
- 24:16Speaker 1: even though, like as men, you feel we like it,
- 24:19Speaker 1: just it feels weak to us.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:21Speaker 1: But Bro, the amount of times you start crying as
- 24:23Speaker 1: a parent, I feel like I cry at least once
- 24:26Speaker 1: a week if you add up the average throughout a year.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Absolutely, Brother, our little two month stint whatever that was
- 24:34Speaker 3: where it was at least on this show, we were crazy.
- 24:37Speaker 3: The Jill and I were talking about the moment of
- 24:42Speaker 3: when she told me that she was pregnant. I told
- 24:45Speaker 3: her that I wanted to go to Target and go
- 24:47Speaker 3: to the baby section and just go walk around and
- 24:51Speaker 3: driving to Target, she wanted to drive. I put my
- 24:55Speaker 3: hand on her stomach, and that's when it really hit me.
- 24:58Speaker 3: I didn't really tear up, like look at the pregnancy test,
- 25:01Speaker 3: but I put my hand on her stomach and as
- 25:05Speaker 3: we were driving down sixty five to that Brentwood Target,
- 25:09Speaker 3: and Bro, it hit me like a brick wall. I
- 25:15Speaker 3: broke down. And I was thinking about that exact moment
- 25:18Speaker 3: very recently with Scarlet of like you were in there,
- 25:24Speaker 3: like you were like a little chicken nugget back then,
- 25:26Speaker 3: but like that was you. Like my hand was on
- 25:29Speaker 3: her belly and you were cooking in there, and now
- 25:32Speaker 3: you're here and you're this person. And I thought I
- 25:36Speaker 3: loved you then when I was like crying, But now
- 25:38Speaker 3: I have to like physically kind of hold back when
- 25:40Speaker 3: I squeeze you because I literally might pop you. Yeah,
- 25:44Speaker 3: I could suffocate you, could kill you.
- 25:49Speaker 1: But right though, those cheeks on your face right now,
- 25:54Speaker 1: Daddy could put them in the oven at three seventy
- 25:56Speaker 1: five and take a knife to them because I want
- 25:58Speaker 1: to eat them so badly.
- 26:00Speaker 3: I like, truly, it's it's insane. It's insane. I was
- 26:05Speaker 3: even happy I got home.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Got tears.
- 26:08Speaker 3: You're glossed over, Yeah, glossed over, you glossed over. I got.
- 26:11Speaker 3: I got home like later than you. Mondays are just
- 26:14Speaker 3: like crazy days here. That's usually my late day. But uh,
- 26:19Speaker 3: I was so excited that I caught her before she
- 26:21Speaker 3: got in her crib. I was like stoked on that.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:25Speaker 3: I used to come home to like Scarlett, like you
- 26:29Speaker 3: would kind of like walk in with and I'll do
- 26:32Speaker 3: this for the rest of my life, Like you kind
- 26:34Speaker 3: of walk in and you're like, oh man, you know,
- 26:36Speaker 3: fatherhood doesn't stop. I gotta keep being a dad. I
- 26:38Speaker 3: got all this stuff to do. And yesterday it was like,
- 26:41Speaker 3: I gotta get in before she goes into the crib.
- 26:43Speaker 3: I gotta kiss her. Yeah, I have to kiss her
- 26:46Speaker 3: before she goes in that crib.
- 26:47Speaker 1: And the hard part about that is when they get older,
- 26:49Speaker 1: like Ruby and three, she very much gets sad when
- 26:52Speaker 1: Mama and dadad like leaves the house. We're like wondering
- 26:54Speaker 1: when we're coming back, like, hey, Dad, are you are
- 26:56Speaker 1: you going on a plane, And because if she knows
- 26:59Speaker 1: I'm going on a plane, I won't be there for
- 27:01Speaker 1: that time or anything. Odada's not going on a plane
- 27:03Speaker 1: like that is just going to work for a little bit.
- 27:04Speaker 1: I'll be back, We'll be hanging out the back half
- 27:06Speaker 1: of the day. But then there's this like guilt side,
- 27:09Speaker 1: this sadness that creeps in because you just feel like
- 27:11Speaker 1: you're letting them down because they don't fully understand yet
- 27:14Speaker 1: and the fact that they don't understand and it's so
- 27:16Speaker 1: innocent that they're just.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Sad that you're leaving.
- 27:17Speaker 1: You're like, I feel so bad that I feel like
- 27:20Speaker 1: I'm taking something away from you right now because when
- 27:23Speaker 1: they're little, you have all those things. I got to
- 27:25Speaker 1: get back, like just to give them a kiss, good night.
- 27:27Speaker 1: But also you know that their brain doesn't fully comprehend
- 27:30Speaker 1: the dad has gone for the day.
- 27:31Speaker 3: They're just they're happy to see dad dad. It's worse time. Also,
- 27:37Speaker 3: that was from just one email response to our Oh yeah, yeah, and.
- 27:42Speaker 2: Again, got to keep this show under an hour.
- 27:43Speaker 1: And I was also thinking too, like when you were
- 27:45Speaker 1: telling the story about driving down the highway and your
- 27:47Speaker 1: hand is on Wifey's belly, on Jillie Bean's belly, and
- 27:49Speaker 1: now they're sitting in the car seat, in the back seat.
- 27:53Speaker 2: But just if you think about when you're you, you know, you.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Go through buds training. Yeah, they're pregnant, they're about to pop.
- 28:01Speaker 1: All the fears and unknowns that are weighing on you.
- 28:04Speaker 1: As much as you're enjoying the moment to put your
- 28:06Speaker 1: hand on it, also appreciating like I'm so fired up
- 28:08Speaker 1: to be a dead but I'm.
- 28:08Speaker 3: Also terrified, so fucking scared.
- 28:11Speaker 1: And now they're just sitting in the back seat and
- 28:12Speaker 1: you're like, yo, we're a family, Yes, Like how nuts
- 28:15Speaker 1: is this?
- 28:15Speaker 3: Yes?
- 28:17Speaker 2: Anyway, gotta keep.
- 28:17Speaker 3: It doing, got to keep it under our I got
- 28:20Speaker 3: Donnie Maz on YouTube. He says first time, long time,
- 28:23Speaker 3: not really first time, but father three four year old
- 28:26Speaker 3: and twenty month twin boys from Staten Island. Dude, I
- 28:31Speaker 3: want to meet Donnie. This is a pt siko. I
- 28:34Speaker 3: think the answer to Will's question about the hardest thing
- 28:36Speaker 3: is just knowing that you're doing it right. We all
- 28:40Speaker 3: have these goals on what and how to raise our
- 28:42Speaker 3: kids to be hard working, respectful and responsible people in
- 28:45Speaker 3: this world. But the reassurance of what you're doing is
- 28:48Speaker 3: correct and right and in the best interests of our children, ourselves,
- 28:53Speaker 3: and our family. Yeah, he's starting to have those thoughts
- 28:56Speaker 3: because he's got.
- 28:56Speaker 2: A four year old.
- 28:58Speaker 3: Yeah, he's got a four year old, and like the
- 29:01Speaker 3: four year olds starting to like develop that personality. I
- 29:04Speaker 3: could totally see that of like, yeah, am I pointing
- 29:06Speaker 3: them in the right direction. That's a whole other vault.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Yeah, all those fears that you try to live with,
- 29:13Speaker 1: like as they are going through because and Ruse and
- 29:16Speaker 1: she's three at school right now.
- 29:18Speaker 2: But it's not you know, you're not dealing with all.
- 29:20Speaker 1: The social issues of them coming home and you know
- 29:25Speaker 1: somebody might have said something mean to them, or there's
- 29:27Speaker 1: actual drama or beef going on with a friend, or
- 29:30Speaker 1: a situation happened and you're trying to coach them through,
- 29:33Speaker 1: like am I leading them the right direction? But I
- 29:36Speaker 1: love that that response.
- 29:37Speaker 3: From Dannie and Staten Island.
- 29:39Speaker 1: You just innately know that you're doing it right, but
- 29:41Speaker 1: doing it and doing it right too is just man,
- 29:43Speaker 1: and it's just pain. It's so sad, man.
- 29:48Speaker 3: It really yeah, it really right? Right, No, it's sad.
- 29:52Speaker 2: It is sad because that is true.
- 29:55Speaker 3: I'm not even close to being there, and I'll stop
- 29:59Speaker 3: saying that. But like, Scarlett's only six months, but I'm
- 30:06Speaker 3: a sorry to have those thoughts in my head of
- 30:08Speaker 3: like the person that she's gonna develop into, like will
- 30:10Speaker 3: she be excited for school or will mornings be a
- 30:14Speaker 3: drag like when I'm getting her ready for daycare? And
- 30:18Speaker 3: in my head, I like to tell myself, Oh, she's
- 30:20Speaker 3: gonna love school. I just have a feeling, yeah, I
- 30:22Speaker 3: have a feeling.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Like when he's like, you know, you're doing it right.
- 30:26Speaker 1: I think Over the weekend, Matt Lionert had a tweet
- 30:29Speaker 1: or a post that he put out because he's taking
- 30:31Speaker 1: his boy, his son.
- 30:32Speaker 3: Boy was in the fields.
- 30:33Speaker 1: Yeah, his son, who's a he's a quarterback, right, He's
- 30:36Speaker 1: going to TCU is he really? I think so, Like
- 30:39Speaker 1: he's a he's an athlete, Like he's got a he's
- 30:41Speaker 1: got what you want.
- 30:42Speaker 2: If you're a former athlete, you raise an athlete.
- 30:45Speaker 1: And I love just his vulnerability of posting that he's
- 30:49Speaker 1: struggling going to drop Is that right? That gud right there.
- 30:55Speaker 1: That's probably a rivalry in itself, it is, But he's
- 30:58Speaker 1: gonna he's gonna drop his.
- 31:00Speaker 3: Boy off at school, and he's like he's he's kind
- 31:03Speaker 3: of posting through it. And I loved it because this
- 31:07Speaker 3: is like, you know, this is a former quarterback.
- 31:10Speaker 2: This a guy, you know what I mean?
- 31:11Speaker 1: This a man's man, and his boy seems to be
- 31:14Speaker 1: like he's becoming a man's man. He's a quarterback, he's
- 31:16Speaker 1: on scholarship, probably has an nil deal going to sm you,
- 31:19Speaker 1: and he's got his dad just tweeted about how sad
- 31:21Speaker 1: he is that he's dropping his son off, Like, ah, Dad,
- 31:24Speaker 1: you come on. But they probably have such a bond
- 31:26Speaker 1: and a relationship that it's just so hard when you
- 31:29Speaker 1: get to that point.
- 31:30Speaker 2: I'm sure he had so many tears.
- 31:33Speaker 1: To where that's how you hope to feel when you
- 31:36Speaker 1: send your kid off to school and that's probably the
- 31:38Speaker 1: most painful feeling when you are dropping him off at school,
- 31:41Speaker 1: because you know, like, man, I was so intentional and
- 31:44Speaker 1: we did this right now. I wish I could have
- 31:45Speaker 1: all these moments back and you're not becoming a grown
- 31:48Speaker 1: man and you're going to college to where I'm going
- 31:50Speaker 1: to be far away.
- 31:52Speaker 2: You know, I'm going to be a flight away.
- 31:53Speaker 1: I'm sure he's going to go to a lot of
- 31:54Speaker 1: his stuff, but it just feels like it's a very
- 31:58Speaker 1: emotional time you watch lamb Man.
- 32:01Speaker 3: I've watched episodes in season one I was doing. You
- 32:05Speaker 3: guys watched lamb Man. You guys at home watched lamb Man. Yeah,
- 32:09Speaker 3: up until a very popular show the season two. Someone's
- 32:12Speaker 3: been tweeting about lamb Man. I forgot who Hey, just
- 32:14Speaker 3: talking about the season Finalely.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Finale is incredible. The finale is incredible. Anybody who's wavering
- 32:20Speaker 1: off of Lambman, because I understand that all against this
- 32:23Speaker 1: feeling because it's shut. It's such a good show. It's
- 32:28Speaker 1: and some of the story arcs you get off on
- 32:30Speaker 1: these side missions that you're just like, we don't need
- 32:32Speaker 1: any of this.
- 32:33Speaker 2: I don't need the Old People's Home.
- 32:35Speaker 1: I don't need the relationship with the Sun and the
- 32:38Speaker 1: gal who just had the baby. I don't need any
- 32:41Speaker 1: of that soap opry. Yeah, I don't need Rebecca and
- 32:44Speaker 1: the Australian guy. I think he's British. People are kind
- 32:46Speaker 1: of correct me. He's a British dude or an English dude.
- 32:48Speaker 1: I don't need the little love interest going on. I
- 32:51Speaker 1: need I need Rebecca to be as shark as a lawyer.
- 32:54Speaker 3: How she is in the season finale's great, but.
- 32:59Speaker 1: There's a there's an episode where the daughter is going
- 33:02Speaker 1: to TCU.
- 33:03Speaker 2: She's going off to school.
- 33:04Speaker 1: And her mom, by the way, the mom is the
- 33:07Speaker 1: uh uh from the movie, not the Varsity Blues. She
- 33:11Speaker 1: is the Sunday the Whip Creak. Absolutely, but the mom
- 33:16Speaker 1: is sending her to tc TCU and she's just broken
- 33:19Speaker 1: down as she's dropping her baby off, and she's calling
- 33:22Speaker 1: Billy Bob like, so you're just not gonna be here
- 33:24Speaker 1: with me today, Like you're just gonna go off to
- 33:26Speaker 1: work and pretend none of this is happening. And you
- 33:28Speaker 1: know Billy Bob, he's got his one liners to where
- 33:30Speaker 1: he just goes off to work and does this thing.
- 33:32Speaker 2: Is like Christ, these women in their emotions.
- 33:36Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, and Mom just feels like she's going
- 33:39Speaker 1: through it on her own. But that's how I envision
- 33:41Speaker 1: what those what those days are going to be like
- 33:43Speaker 1: whenever ruined, Scottie go.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Off to college.
- 33:45Speaker 3: Oh, just a mental pretzel, the mental pretzel of uh.
- 33:50Speaker 3: Scarlet needed to be under billy lights when she was
- 33:54Speaker 3: born and we had gotten no sleep. This was like
- 33:57Speaker 3: day two in the hospital and they're like, hey, for
- 34:00Speaker 3: y'all to get sleep and for her to be under
- 34:02Speaker 3: the billy lights, we can just take her to the nursery.
- 34:05Speaker 3: It's two rooms down, yeah, from the room we're in.
- 34:09Speaker 3: And bro them wheeling out Scarlet from our hospital room.
- 34:14Speaker 3: You would have thought she was going off to college.
- 34:17Speaker 3: Jill and I started weeping. And we had only known
- 34:20Speaker 3: Scarlet for maybe sixteen hours seventeen hours at that point.
- 34:26Speaker 3: And it's like I told Jill in that moment, I
- 34:29Speaker 3: was like, if this is this feeling, college is not
- 34:33Speaker 3: going to be okay.
- 34:34Speaker 2: I mean, daycare was emotional care.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Daycare is emotional dropping the rod of a school for
- 34:38Speaker 1: the first day in shro and I just gotta go
- 34:40Speaker 1: park in a parking spot just so we can have
- 34:42Speaker 1: a good cry for a second. I see her tearing up,
- 34:45Speaker 1: and I'm like trying to hold back tears. I'm like, hey,
- 34:47Speaker 1: you know, we ended up. We were ended up, like
- 34:50Speaker 1: laughing from him, like they're they're here, come the water works.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Uh huh.
- 34:54Speaker 2: You's got to kind of take a moment because she's like, oh, did.
- 34:56Speaker 6: You see Lioner's other posts about his kids he made?
- 34:59Speaker 6: I think it was like last week. He has a
- 35:00Speaker 6: video of him sitting at the table and his wife's
- 35:02Speaker 6: recording and the kid goes over and says, Hey, Alexa,
- 35:05Speaker 6: who's Matt Liner. Matt Lionert is a good car, a
- 35:10Speaker 6: great college quarterback that played at USC and did this
- 35:12Speaker 6: national Dad. His pro career did not amount to much.
- 35:16Speaker 3: Just shut off.
- 35:18Speaker 2: That's hilarious.
- 35:19Speaker 3: No, I did not.
- 35:20Speaker 2: Oh dude, dude, he does.
- 35:23Speaker 3: Man.
- 35:23Speaker 1: I enjoyed me some Matt Liner bro enjoy me. Some
- 35:26Speaker 1: Matt Liner offered him up some lollipop. People like, oh,
- 35:29Speaker 1: you're doing an advertising post everything. Hey, we're trying to
- 35:32Speaker 1: get our pt sichos, right, man, there's nothing like some
- 35:35Speaker 1: an ice cool lollipop with Chris Bapple.
- 35:37Speaker 3: Tell me you've never had lollipop without telling me you've
- 35:40Speaker 3: never had a lollipop. Will was putting out a legitimate
- 35:44Speaker 3: help for your dad.
- 35:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm trying to I'm trying to help my my
- 35:47Speaker 1: fellow PT six are out in that moment. Yeah, buddy,
- 35:50Speaker 1: I know it's hard. All PT six we got our
- 35:52Speaker 1: arms around you. Yeah, because you lose one off to college.
- 35:54Speaker 2: We're all sad. I'm not like in it with all
- 35:57Speaker 2: these dads who post about their stories. I'm in it
- 35:58Speaker 2: with them for sure. Got to keep it under.
- 36:02Speaker 3: Gott to keep it under an hour. I got Jason
- 36:04Speaker 3: H two eight seven six, He says PT. Sixer of
- 36:06Speaker 3: two girls, a five and three year old. Hearing Will
- 36:10Speaker 3: talk brings me back to when my oldest was diagnosed
- 36:13Speaker 3: with type one diabetes. As a father and man, is
- 36:16Speaker 3: the hardest thing to be in this situation where you
- 36:19Speaker 3: have no control over anything. One thing I've learned in
- 36:22Speaker 3: the past three years of her living with this is
- 36:24Speaker 3: that you have to take the little wins. Maybe you
- 36:28Speaker 3: can't control everything, but be the best of what you can.
- 36:31Speaker 3: My wife and I have tackled this as a team,
- 36:34Speaker 3: and her A one C hasn't been over seven in
- 36:36Speaker 3: the past one and a half years. That's very hard
- 36:39Speaker 3: to do. By the way, Yeah, very hard to do.
- 36:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:41Speaker 3: Well done by Jason.
- 36:42Speaker 1: H Well done by Jason. I have another one here
- 36:45Speaker 1: from Alex Briscolino. Oh a four the Dead's crew. This
- 36:49Speaker 1: is Alex Briscollno, I'm from Chicago and I'm a father
- 36:52Speaker 1: of two absolute.
- 36:53Speaker 2: Studs of children.
- 36:54Speaker 1: My oldest is two and a half year old boy
- 36:56Speaker 1: named Bennett and an eight month old daughter named Reagan.
- 37:00Speaker 1: So listening to the episode this week and listening to
- 37:02Speaker 1: old Willie Winshoff talk about the parts of parenting that
- 37:04Speaker 1: are the hardest and asking the BT six community what
- 37:07Speaker 1: they think are the hardest parts of parenthood is My
- 37:10Speaker 1: answer is that both the greatest and hardest part of parenthood.
- 37:13Speaker 1: He is He's putting a double stamp on it for
- 37:17Speaker 1: all of us watching them grow up. Oh, this thing
- 37:20Speaker 1: hits so hard because as a parent, there are so
- 37:22Speaker 1: many times that you reflect on the accomplishments of your
- 37:24Speaker 1: little one where it makes you so proud of them.
- 37:28Speaker 1: On the other hand, it makes you sad because all
- 37:30Speaker 1: the moments that we remember from when they were little
- 37:32Speaker 1: are now gone. I tell all the BT six community
- 37:35Speaker 1: to cherish every moment that you spend with your kiddo,
- 37:37Speaker 1: because it all goes by way too quick, from the
- 37:40Speaker 1: midnight feeds to my toddler wanting to have ice cream
- 37:42Speaker 1: for dinner and then wanting to listen to Scrilla on repeat.
- 37:46Speaker 1: All the emotions, tears, frustrations, crying, laughs, and love were
- 37:49Speaker 1: all worth it because at the end of the day,
- 37:51Speaker 1: your kiddo loves you with every ounce of there being.
- 37:53Speaker 1: Never forget that. It's just a reminder too, because I
- 37:57Speaker 1: love this ride and I appreciate you Alex. Shout out Alex.
- 37:59Speaker 1: But his oldest is two and a half years, Like
- 38:01Speaker 1: we're talking about it, My oldest is three. Your oldest
- 38:03Speaker 1: right now is six months. And we have all of
- 38:05Speaker 1: these emotions, talk about the memories that we have right now.
- 38:09Speaker 1: And you know, there's there's pt sixers out there that
- 38:11Speaker 1: have kids that are now off to college or they're
- 38:13Speaker 1: now grown, or they're listening to us and just thinking
- 38:15Speaker 1: about They would reiterate and say all of the same things,
- 38:19Speaker 1: and they almost envy that we have a three year old,
- 38:23Speaker 1: a two and a half year old with Alex, an
- 38:25Speaker 1: eight month old with Alex, a six month old with scarlet,
- 38:27Speaker 1: because they would either they would love to go back
- 38:30Speaker 1: in it and envy what we get to go through again.
- 38:32Speaker 1: They wish that they could relive it, and maybe they don't.
- 38:34Speaker 1: Maybe they're like, Man, I poured everything in towards the
- 38:37Speaker 1: most beautiful time ever. I wish I could relive these
- 38:40Speaker 1: these moments. There's these memories and moments, but I also
- 38:44Speaker 1: feel great about where everything's at. But boys, the young
- 38:47Speaker 1: PT sixers out there cherish all of it.
- 38:52Speaker 3: But yeah, good okay, good Son, good Son, good Son?
- 38:59Speaker 3: Good Are we under an hour?
- 39:01Speaker 2: I think we got to cut it off.
- 39:02Speaker 3: We can't get to these new dads. I do have
- 39:07Speaker 3: a very fun I thought we could jump into the
- 39:10Speaker 3: hate well really quick before we go into the positives hate.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Mail, hate mail.
- 39:14Speaker 3: We have our first hate mail two for the dad's
- 39:19Speaker 3: podcasts that we wanted to.
- 39:21Speaker 1: There's a lot of excitement that you have with this,
- 39:23Speaker 1: and I'm here's where my brain's going. I'm in fight
- 39:25Speaker 1: or flight right now. I got a PT six need
- 39:28Speaker 1: to be in fight or flight. Do we need to
- 39:30Speaker 1: think about barricading up Hey and going.
- 39:33Speaker 3: To here's the deal. People can get mad at this
- 39:36Speaker 3: PT six can deploy on this guy. I'm not against that,
- 39:41Speaker 3: but I have to say I think this guy pretty
- 39:44Speaker 3: much kind of nailed his summary of our podcast. Okay,
- 39:49Speaker 3: like he's not far off. This comes from Phoenix one
- 39:53Speaker 3: three eight on Spotify.
- 39:54Speaker 4: We didn't need to say his name for everyone here was.
- 39:58Speaker 3: Yeah, don't music. That's p h O E n i
- 40:02Speaker 3: X Dash one three eight on Tournament Phoenix Phoenix Dash
- 40:07Speaker 3: one three eight on Spotify. Yeah, this was two days ago,
- 40:10Speaker 3: he said, one star podcast. Oh, one star one star podcast.
- 40:19Speaker 3: Go back to the drawing board. Guys, it's like dumb
- 40:22Speaker 3: call of duty sport betting. Bro Talk. It's like dumb
- 40:31Speaker 3: call of duty sport betting. Bro Talk goes, well, I'm
- 40:34Speaker 3: a dad. Now he nailed. It was the full comment.
- 40:40Speaker 3: It's the full comment. I'm like, hey, you got the
- 40:43Speaker 3: premise the show. At that point, the show's just not
- 40:46Speaker 3: for you. Yeah, that's all it is. It's just not
- 40:48Speaker 3: for him. It's just not for him. So we could
- 40:50Speaker 3: go after him for sure.
- 40:52Speaker 2: We had to set of balls. He dropped his social
- 40:54Speaker 2: his social name.
- 40:58Speaker 3: Bro the comment again, one star podcasts, Get back to
- 41:03Speaker 3: the drawing board. Go back to the drawing board. Oh no,
- 41:05Speaker 3: it's like dumb call duty sport betting. Bro Talk goes, well,
- 41:10Speaker 3: I'm a dad.
- 41:10Speaker 4: Now, I bet his wife is right behind when he
- 41:14Speaker 4: wrote that, just like see this is this is so
- 41:17Speaker 4: dumb sports.
- 41:19Speaker 3: She probably loved the show Let's break it out and
- 41:22Speaker 3: I loved it.
- 41:23Speaker 2: For the people who do sports bet it's sports betting fun.
- 41:26Speaker 3: Oh yeah.
- 41:27Speaker 2: Does it have its moments of adversity? Yeah for sure?
- 41:30Speaker 4: Oh yeah.
- 41:30Speaker 2: Do dads love their bros? Yeah? Are there moments of
- 41:33Speaker 2: adversity with their bros?
- 41:34Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 41:36Speaker 2: We is call duty fun.
- 41:37Speaker 3: It's called duty fun. Is pubg fun?
- 41:40Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 41:40Speaker 1: Yeah, he's getting a great Katie ratio fun.
- 41:44Speaker 3: Yeah. Can't it be shitty at times? Absolutely? It has
- 41:47Speaker 3: its verse adversity boom fun, embracing the suck, embracing the suck.
- 41:54Speaker 3: He did nail it. He nailed it and one star.
- 41:57Speaker 3: It's if we nailed what he thinks we are. Why
- 41:59Speaker 3: would that'd be a five star podcast? I was about
- 42:02Speaker 3: to say, he broke down pretty much. I mean, minus
- 42:04Speaker 3: the sports banting. We don't really talk about that on
- 42:06Speaker 3: the show, but you know, yeah, welcome to the show, Phoenix,
- 42:12Speaker 3: Welcome to fatherhood Phoenix. Yah, Phoenix might not be a dad,
- 42:17Speaker 3: he might be an st six, but it could be
- 42:20Speaker 3: could be. Oh yeah, I guess it could be could
- 42:23Speaker 3: be an empty six hate.
- 42:24Speaker 2: The negativity to be negative.
- 42:27Speaker 1: Yeah, we like to have fun. We have no clue
- 42:30Speaker 1: what we're doing. That's why that's we sit here and
- 42:32Speaker 1: talk about with our community. Absolutely tell their own stories. Yeah,
- 42:35Speaker 1: make light of it. That's what we did before fatherhood.
- 42:38Speaker 1: I was telling you, realize how serious it is.
- 42:40Speaker 3: Yeah, true, and if we did come with all the
- 42:42Speaker 3: receipts at all these studies and stuff. At the end
- 42:45Speaker 3: of the day, I am just a bro. So who
- 42:47Speaker 3: am I to tell you what to do? At least,
- 42:50Speaker 3: I'm just hanging out on this pod and just saying, Hey,
- 42:53Speaker 3: I cry a lot when I see my daughter getting older.
- 42:55Speaker 3: Yeah it makes me sad. Yeah, because that's about the
- 42:58Speaker 3: only thing. I'm an expert in his crying.
- 43:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm a dude. I'm a bro. I love football. Yeah,
- 43:04Speaker 1: I love video games a lot of my past life.
- 43:06Speaker 1: I still love dabbling in some video games in this
- 43:08Speaker 1: life where I can find time to do it.
- 43:11Speaker 3: I enjoy.
- 43:12Speaker 2: I enjoy having fun with life.
- 43:13Speaker 3: Tell them what you said to Jill on the phone.
- 43:16Speaker 1: But yeah, it's over the weekend. Caught a pod because again,
- 43:21Speaker 1: football season's kind of coming to an end. So there's
- 43:23Speaker 1: not a lot of games on which, By the way,
- 43:24Speaker 1: I love the NFL. I love playoff football because games
- 43:28Speaker 1: are done by a reasonable hour. It's not like a
- 43:31Speaker 1: Sunday night FOOTBA or Monday night football kicks off at
- 43:33Speaker 1: like seven seven thirty.
- 43:34Speaker 2: That is a great take central times.
- 43:37Speaker 1: It's happening now at like five thirty to where you
- 43:39Speaker 1: get to enjoy the game, and by the time the
- 43:41Speaker 1: game's done, it's still about nine nine o'clock at night. Yes,
- 43:44Speaker 1: sweet a pocket to where it's like, oh man, there's
- 43:46Speaker 1: not a whole lot to prepare a whole lot for
- 43:49Speaker 1: the next week, to where you're trying to gather all
- 43:51Speaker 1: this information and storylines going on in the football world
- 43:54Speaker 1: so I could be prepped and ready to go for
- 43:55Speaker 1: all the shows that we do the next week. It
- 43:57Speaker 1: kind of felt like it is a good weekend. We
- 43:59Speaker 1: get to a couple games of football. We kind of
- 44:01Speaker 1: have an open night because Sean and I finished His
- 44:03Speaker 1: and Hers. By the way, if you're a couple out
- 44:05Speaker 1: there and you're looking for a show on Netflix, a
- 44:07Speaker 1: limited series His and Hers on Netflix.
- 44:09Speaker 2: Good. I love that actor.
- 44:10Speaker 3: I forget his name, John Yeah, Yeah, he's anttr guy.
- 44:15Speaker 2: He's a Washington fan.
- 44:16Speaker 1: I want to say we had it back and forth
- 44:18Speaker 1: one time back on Twitter in the early days.
- 44:21Speaker 2: In the early days.
- 44:22Speaker 6: He's the most fascinating man ever. He trained professional in
- 44:24Speaker 6: Russia to be an actor. Like his story is crazy.
- 44:27Speaker 2: Crazy, and he loves being a dad.
- 44:29Speaker 1: He's got a he's got that famous pot that viral
- 44:32Speaker 1: podcast with Shilah buff where they kind of talk about
- 44:35Speaker 1: parenthood and yeadhood. Highly encourage, recommend that as well. But
- 44:39Speaker 1: joh and I we finished his and hers like we
- 44:41Speaker 1: finished our show because it's only six episodes long, and
- 44:43Speaker 1: I'm sitting there, I'm like, oh, let's.
- 44:45Speaker 2: We got an opportunity tonight. We got a change.
- 44:49Speaker 3: Yeah, so uh eloquently quoted.
- 44:53Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, an opportunity to go have some fun and
- 44:55Speaker 1: play some video games tonight with the boys. It's about
- 44:57Speaker 1: nine to nine thirty. Got to get a couple of
- 44:59Speaker 1: hours under our belt. So I hit up Shurham and
- 45:03Speaker 1: it's Saturday. It felt like a day we alluded that
- 45:05Speaker 1: could be a possibility. Absolutely, colms are quiet throughout the night,
- 45:09Speaker 1: so I just shoot the eyes where we at tonight.
- 45:11Speaker 2: Boys.
- 45:13Speaker 1: Jared kind of gives us a I could be on
- 45:16Speaker 1: i'd be a game time decision. It is looking optimistic. Yeah,
- 45:20Speaker 1: it is looking like an opportunity is upon us. Yeah,
- 45:23Speaker 1: and Shuram hasn't answered yet, But I know Shuram's been
- 45:26Speaker 1: doing trying to have intentionality behind that not being on
- 45:29Speaker 1: his phone like screen time and everything else. So I'm thinking, like, Okay,
- 45:33Speaker 1: how do I get a hold of Shirm because he
- 45:34Speaker 1: hasn't hit the chat back. However, I see Shuram respond
- 45:37Speaker 1: to somebody on X a pt sixer out there drop
- 45:40Speaker 1: this psychotic meal with ollipops.
- 45:44Speaker 3: Dree that with the shrimp cocktail and the pizza Olio pizza.
- 45:48Speaker 2: It loved it a plus.
- 45:50Speaker 1: But then he also had some cold shrimp cocktail on
- 45:52Speaker 1: the photo too, and he's got some cold shrimp cocktail,
- 45:56Speaker 1: pizza and Oli pop kind of a you know, that's
- 45:59Speaker 1: a different but hey, we're not here to judge any
- 46:01Speaker 1: pizza judge.
- 46:03Speaker 2: But I see Sherm respond to him be like, oh,
- 46:05Speaker 2: this is awesome.
- 46:06Speaker 1: And Sherm is responding to that on X after the
- 46:10Speaker 1: group chat has been hit up. That's weird and people
- 46:12Speaker 1: have been reaching out to Shram, so I'm like, Okay,
- 46:14Speaker 1: that's a little weird. Maybe Shurm's maybe he won't be
- 46:17Speaker 1: able to go tonight, which would be fine, but we
- 46:18Speaker 1: just need some comments. We need some PT six communication
- 46:21Speaker 1: ye've been taking place. So I'm trying to scroll and
- 46:23Speaker 1: figure out my phone had died and I turned it
- 46:25Speaker 1: back on, so my messages hasn't hadn't loaded, because I'm
- 46:30Speaker 1: trying to type in Jill and see where I can
- 46:31Speaker 1: find Jill's old number so I can reach out to
- 46:33Speaker 1: Jill myself. So I can't find it, so eventually I
- 46:37Speaker 1: just call Shirm. Shearm picks up. He gives me a
- 46:41Speaker 1: debrief on the things have been going on the last
- 46:43Speaker 1: couple hours. He's been apparently ripping. I was a resume.
- 46:46Speaker 1: I have a resume for PT six. He's operating, I
- 46:49Speaker 1: really was. He felt good, and I'm like, I want
- 46:52Speaker 1: to talk to Jill. So he puts me on speaker
- 46:54Speaker 1: with Jill and I want to get I want to
- 46:56Speaker 1: see a Sherm can play with the boys.
- 46:59Speaker 3: She's like, I will, Hello, Will, Jill.
- 47:03Speaker 1: It's so good to talk to you. You sound beautiful. Hey, listen,
- 47:09Speaker 1: do you think sum can come out to play with
- 47:11Speaker 1: his friends tonight?
- 47:13Speaker 3: She goes like outside, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 47:17Speaker 1: Like come outside and play. This is me knocking on
- 47:20Speaker 1: the door. See, I'm sure he can hang out with
- 47:22Speaker 1: his friends to night. Yeah, and she gives them the
- 47:24Speaker 1: go ahead, she gives them the green light. It's up
- 47:26Speaker 1: from there.
- 47:27Speaker 3: It was up from there.
- 47:28Speaker 1: We get on comms, we get on the controller. We
- 47:30Speaker 1: have again, not call of duty, but puff.
- 47:33Speaker 3: G oh yeah, Phoenix would have been pissed with how
- 47:35Speaker 3: much fun we are having. It was and just a
- 47:39Speaker 3: little backstory of the leading into that phone call. I
- 47:45Speaker 3: basically or I'll save it for crack of cole one. Actually, okay,
- 47:50Speaker 3: or I can get it. I can get into it
- 47:52Speaker 3: for the crack of cole one. I know we have
- 47:53Speaker 3: other comments.

- 51:44Speaker 3: Welcome to the show, dude, be walked in, Welcome to you.
- 51:49Speaker 3: I kind of I forget everything that comes with these
- 51:52Speaker 3: new dads because I'm like so excited for him, and
- 51:55Speaker 3: then I kind of get a little PTSD flashback to
- 51:58Speaker 3: like my little Trench, and I'm like, oh man, those yeah,
- 52:02Speaker 3: those first four weeks. Yeah, but shout out the new
- 52:05Speaker 3: dad's when Kracker cole One, Kracker cole.
- 52:08Speaker 1: One, we got some of our Kracker cole one always

- 52:12Speaker 2: Lollipop has a new flavor, Shirley Temple.
- 52:15Speaker 3: Yes, they do.
- 52:15Speaker 1: So if you're like a non alcoholic bevy person, we
- 52:19Speaker 1: now have Shirley Temple available for ollipop again. Nine grams

- 52:25Speaker 1: or two to five grams of sugar par can And
- 52:28Speaker 1: they got a variety of flavors. I run through my
- 52:30Speaker 1: list all the time. Chris Bapple, Watermelonline, Classic Grape. Those
- 52:33Speaker 1: are my top three. Shirley Temple is in my top five.
- 52:36Speaker 1: It's a very good taste light on the tummy and
- 52:40Speaker 1: you don't feel guilty afterwards.
- 52:42Speaker 3: Will I could not agree more with Ollipop. I love
- 52:46Speaker 3: that the Shirley Temple. It's very Valentine's Day themed that
- 52:50Speaker 3: that's kind of my favorite thing. We had mentioned it
- 52:53Speaker 3: in our Little Valentine's clip. I love the pink, I
- 52:56Speaker 3: love the look, and of course you get Okay, I've
- 53:00Speaker 3: looked into this and I can't wait to do it
- 53:02Speaker 3: because I went to drink lollipop Ford slash but BWTB
- 53:08Speaker 3: to see how it works. But essentially, you get a
- 53:11Speaker 3: free can of ollipop right now if you buy any
- 53:15Speaker 3: two cans at an Ollipop store, and Ollipop will pay
- 53:19Speaker 3: you back. They will literally PayPal or Venmo you money.
- 53:23Speaker 3: If you send them your receipt that you bought two
- 53:26Speaker 3: cans of lollipop at a store, they'll pay for one
- 53:29Speaker 3: of the cans.
- 53:30Speaker 2: No ship.
- 53:31Speaker 3: I swear to god, I want to do it this
- 53:33Speaker 3: week because I'm like, that's that is like actually a
- 53:36Speaker 3: ton of fun. Like I want to I want to
- 53:38Speaker 3: see how it works. I want to get a Venmo
- 53:40Speaker 3: from Ollipop and what you need to do too, because.
- 53:43Speaker 2: This is where this will, this will be.
- 53:45Speaker 1: These are these are going to be future retweets. Oh yeah,
- 53:48Speaker 1: but you brought up the Valentine's Day theme. Imagine having
- 53:51Speaker 1: a couple of cans a Shirley Temple ollipop sitting there,
- 53:55Speaker 1: packaged with a new bus in Valentine's tea.
- 54:00Speaker 3: We didn't even bring this one up. Did we bring
- 54:02Speaker 3: this one up? I don't think we talked about it.
- 54:04Speaker 1: You keep my heart busting and a lot of the
- 54:06Speaker 1: fun little Valentine's Day hard candies that you used to
- 54:09Speaker 1: get from your little Secret crush says for the boys down,
- 54:12Speaker 1: bad for you. MT six no free shout outs, locked
- 54:15Speaker 1: in all written on the little hard candies Tier.
- 54:18Speaker 3: One lover, Tier one.
- 54:21Speaker 1: Dude, if I had one free to speak, yeah, freed,
- 54:24Speaker 1: but one iteration.
- 54:26Speaker 3: You own the company, permission to speak.
- 54:29Speaker 1: I feel like we should have more of Valentine theme
- 54:32Speaker 1: colors versus the black.
- 54:34Speaker 3: But that could be that could be a culture, It
- 54:36Speaker 3: could be a cold take. I think there.
- 54:39Speaker 6: Are color options. I don't know about color options for
- 54:41Speaker 6: that one. I know this black shirt that is the
- 54:43Speaker 6: same as Shermans will have pink text.
- 54:45Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, Shurm's got the white one on.
- 54:48Speaker 6: A black with pink text. I know that shirt, and
- 54:51Speaker 6: then I do believe I do believe I could be wrong.
- 54:53Speaker 6: There is obviously additional bussing merch that I don't know
- 54:56Speaker 6: if it's a hat or something that I believe is pink,
- 54:58Speaker 6: would be terribly wrong.
- 54:59Speaker 2: Love it either way.
- 55:01Speaker 3: What I'm what I'm talking about for the retweet, like say,
- 55:03Speaker 3: you had this shirt right here, my forever what is
- 55:06Speaker 3: it my forever rodeo?
- 55:07Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 55:07Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 55:08Speaker 1: If you have this shirt nice, nice and folded with
- 55:11Speaker 1: a couple lollipops, Shirley Temple sitting there, that's a photo
- 55:14Speaker 1: that's just ding.
- 55:16Speaker 2: That's retweet. Yeah, that's relimiting.
- 55:19Speaker 3: If you want to, Willie, will you see retweet that's
- 55:22Speaker 3: you're edited in the right.
- 55:23Speaker 2: Everyone's gonna fire me up.
- 55:24Speaker 3: That that's the gift that the boys got for their
- 55:26Speaker 3: wife and guys. Again, that works on any flavor at
- 55:29Speaker 3: any retailers. It does not have to be the Shirley Temple.
- 55:32Speaker 3: It could be Will's favorite classic grape, could be root beer, Chrisapple,
- 55:36Speaker 3: it could be Chris papple line, any of those flavors.
- 55:41Speaker 4: Ollipop is everywhere. Has anyone tried lemon lime yet?
- 55:44Speaker 3: I have not. I saw it.
- 55:46Speaker 1: I was going to go lemon lime, but I also
- 55:48Speaker 1: saw orange squeeze, so I wanted to try like the
- 55:50Speaker 1: orange soda style.
- 55:52Speaker 4: I want to go get my pub sub and I
- 55:54Speaker 4: saw it in publics and I grabbed it.
- 55:56Speaker 3: Quite delicious, Oh god God, like a good light one
- 56:00Speaker 3: like not one that doesn't feel like it's a like
- 56:03Speaker 3: a syrupy taste like lemon lime.
- 56:04Speaker 2: Feels like a good.
- 56:06Speaker 4: Very compared to other competitors that we will not name. Yeah,
- 56:10Speaker 4: it is, in my opinion, doesn't have that that syrupy taste. Yeah, dude,
- 56:15Speaker 4: it has that really light It's really punchy with the
- 56:18Speaker 4: lot with the lime taste.
- 56:20Speaker 2: I love.
- 56:21Speaker 4: It's incredible.
- 56:22Speaker 3: I was.
- 56:23Speaker 4: I was blown away, and I was wondering if any
- 56:25Speaker 4: of you guys have tried it.
- 56:26Speaker 3: No, have not, not yet.
- 56:27Speaker 2: Can't wait to get my hands on it. It's gonna
- 56:29Speaker 2: be two hand grabbed too.
- 56:30Speaker 3: Didn't even know they had an orange flavor. To be honest,
- 56:33Speaker 3: I'm big on like orange flavors. So that is the
- 56:37Speaker 3: next one. I want to have a full roll decks Man,
- 56:39Speaker 3: crack a col One, Lollipop, crack a cole one. Make
- 56:42Speaker 3: sure to go to drinkollipop dot com. That's forward slash

- 57:02Speaker 3: One is going to go to the upcoming snow weekend.
- 57:06Speaker 3: It's gonna be taking place here in Nashville. Come on,
- 57:10Speaker 3: optimism when big snow's coming.
- 57:12Speaker 1: Right now, we're looking at last I saw fifteen to
- 57:15Speaker 1: eighteen inches on one on the weather app.
- 57:19Speaker 3: Yeah, phone, I saw up to nineteen inches on weather
- 57:23Speaker 3: dot com.
- 57:24Speaker 2: It's gonna be nuts.
- 57:26Speaker 3: Some people dislike snow days. That's okay, that's o bad,
- 57:31Speaker 3: It's okay. We're just like, hey, we know it's coming.
- 57:34Speaker 3: We can't control what's about to happen to us. We
- 57:37Speaker 3: control how we respond. Yes, sir, you want to be
- 57:39Speaker 3: a thermostat and not a thermometer. Come on, you don't
- 57:42Speaker 3: want to be sitting there just because it gets cold.
- 57:43Speaker 1: Now you get cold, you get a little cold hearted,
- 57:46Speaker 1: you get a little pessimistic, get a little anti snow.
- 57:50Speaker 2: You don't want to do that. Hey, snow's coming.
- 57:51Speaker 1: What are we gonna do about it pro snow we
- 57:54Speaker 1: got here's what's here's how we are equipping ourselves. Okay,
- 57:58Speaker 1: right now, you're gonna assume that you can't get out
- 57:59Speaker 1: of the house. That's what you have to assume, because
- 58:01Speaker 1: we can get to a hill. We got the sleds,
- 58:03Speaker 1: sleds ordered ready to go. They're gonna be coming in. Uh,
- 58:08Speaker 1: you gotta get the outfits ready, the boots, the heavy
- 58:11Speaker 1: hout are where for the kiddos. They're gonna they're gonna
- 58:13Speaker 1: argue with you about one to put gloves on. I'm
- 58:16Speaker 1: more of a dad that'll take the approach. Okay, you
- 58:17Speaker 1: go out there and find out the hard way. Oh
- 58:19Speaker 1: you want to wear a dress outside instead of instead
- 58:22Speaker 1: of all these layers, Go ahead, be my guess.
- 58:24Speaker 3: Yeah, Frostbit's actually really cool. You should check it out.
- 58:26Speaker 1: Yeah, step outside. I'm telling you right now, it's freezing.
- 58:28Speaker 1: You're gonna hate that you're wearing a dress. But go
- 58:30Speaker 1: outside right now and find out for yourself. You're gonna
- 58:32Speaker 1: come back in.
- 58:33Speaker 3: You're gonna be all right, Dad, d Let's let's get
- 58:34Speaker 3: the let's get the outer world. Oh, Dad was right, mm, but.
- 58:38Speaker 1: Building a snowman will be on the docket, getting on
- 58:42Speaker 1: the sled. I'll be on the docket. Maybe get a
- 58:45Speaker 1: little snowball fight in just kind of see where Rou's
- 58:47Speaker 1: mental's at, because she might I might send her in
- 58:50Speaker 1: a blender.
- 58:51Speaker 3: Do you have a carrot for the snowman?
- 58:53Speaker 2: Knows?
- 58:54Speaker 3: Great note, I just want I didn't want to tell
- 58:56Speaker 3: you how to do it, but hey, this is PT
- 58:58Speaker 3: six game. Listen.
- 59:00Speaker 1: If you're thinking about it, well, you're in Nashville. You're
- 59:01Speaker 1: in a spot where it's gonna snow this weekend. Maybe
- 59:03Speaker 1: you're in a spot where it's snowing right now. Again,
- 59:05Speaker 1: be a thermostat, not a thermometer. We can't control. We
- 59:08Speaker 1: can't control the weather. It's happening to us. Yes, we
- 59:11Speaker 1: get to have we get snow day.
- 59:13Speaker 3: Also, I got I have some extra charcoal for you
- 59:16Speaker 3: if needed. I can put it in a little zip
- 59:18Speaker 3: block back because I know you got a propen.

- 59:23Speaker 1: a bet sixer right here. So if you're preparing prepping
- 59:26Speaker 1: for this snow day and you think you're gonna build
- 59:27Speaker 1: a snowman, go ahead and get what's needed for the
- 59:29Speaker 1: snowmak get some charcoal. Get some maybe black buttons. Get
- 59:33Speaker 1: the carrots for the nose, maybe a little cute hat,
- 59:36Speaker 1: a scarf, scarf, make sure you get the scarf, have to.
- 59:40Speaker 4: I have a have a quick tip on game here.
- 59:42Speaker 3: Oh please.
- 59:43Speaker 4: If you're a big sledding person, learn this one. When
- 59:46Speaker 4: I was a little kid, the old man made one
- 59:48Speaker 4: of the best causes ever made. Snow day wise, don't
- 59:52Speaker 4: get the saucer. You know the saucers and everything. The
- 59:54Speaker 4: little plastics sleds are great. Get you an actual wooden
- 59:58Speaker 4: sled with the iron ram, the old school style. Yeah,
- 1:00:01Speaker 4: rid those things, especially if you're on a hill. Ice
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: is over fly. You want to talk about having fun
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: on a sled, those things, especially if you got little boys,
- 1:00:12Speaker 4: if you know toddlers, you might want to be a
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: little more careful because these things go. But I'm telling
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: you that once you go, once you start on a
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: actual old school sled, one that goes up to like
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: twenty five miles an hour, you will never want to
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: go on like a plastic saucer again in your life.
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: Once you start, you're never gonna stop. You'll never stop.
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: That's mine.
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: Would you order just wondering what'd you order?
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: For floods.
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: For sleds.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: Yeah, ordered uh, you have to look at Amazon not
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: get that one. You don't want to go You don't
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: want to go too fast for real? Yeah, true, she'll
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: want to go fast. But I'm saying that that I
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: that's older old.
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: Yeahh the boys. I think three year old boys would
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: love something like that.
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: Probably, I would say like five to six and up
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: is probably when my dad got one, because they they
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: will like, if you're on a big hill, especially out
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: here in Tennessee, like you, it could be potentially dangerous,
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: so they will actually, especially if it's an icy road,
- 1:01:05Speaker 4: those things go.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: Yeah to me, to me, you want to a beginner
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: level sled and create the hunger for wanting something better
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: or wanting something fast. Yeah, you start off too fast
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: and you have a bad moment, then you're shine them
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: away from a dude. Snow days are fun. Sledding is awesome.
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I gotta. I have a snowboard here at the
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: shop that very easily. You just sit towards the rear,
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: you hold up the snowboard a little bit. It's a
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: great little makeshift slid. For now, because Scarlet, I mean
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: we're talking six months ye scarts.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: Where you put her out there and you kind of
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: just seeing what her reaction is to all the snow.
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: And you're like, look at the snow on the ground. Sligh, yeah,
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: oh look at that. They eat the snow. Do you
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: want to eat some snow? Can I feed her snow
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: that she drinks water? Right, it's fine? And then uh yeah,
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: what else as far as the snow day goes? You're
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: talking snow day prep and it turned what was your
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: last note? You said? Outfits boots, gloves, outfits boots gloves,
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: snow man, sled, build a snow man, yup, make sure
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: you have soup ready to go?
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: What do you want to do chili?
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Just just know whatever you're gonna need, whatever ingredients you're
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: gonna need inside the house.
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: To assume we're not going to be able to leave
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: the house.
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: You did, okay, So I just the not leaving the
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: house part remembered. Firewood, firewood, firewood, fire.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: Yeah, get the fireplace going, maybe get the kids down,
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: get the kids down early, and then an opportunity.
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: Come on, man, come on, Scrilla starts playing me Me,
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: Me me meanly. I don't even know if that's our
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: song for writing Shockwave. But maybe people don't.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: Familiar with Scrilla. Just go to Spotify right now, type
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: in Scrilla, Sit back. That's the that's theme music for
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: Papa Team six.
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: I love that. I am very side for this snow day.
- 1:03:01Speaker 5: Uh.
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: It will be Scarlet's first snow experienced, Scotti's first snow experience.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: Yeah, because Scotty was only like a couple months last year. Okay,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: so yeah, Scotty's first real experience.
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: She's gonna love this.
- 1:03:14Speaker 5: Oh.
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: I can just see it now.
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: I hope Scarlet lights up, dude. Uh, he was a
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: little a little iffy about the first snow day. Oh really,
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: you had to get a bought in. I do remember that. Yeah,
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: she was having a little trouble with the snowman. She
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: was crying a little bit.
- 1:03:28Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: Yeah, well winter over.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: I think I think Scotty's gonna love the snow. Who's
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: gonna love it now because last year she had a.
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: Lot of fun, uh huh uh yeah, no doubt. Scotty's
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: just gonna be pounding the snow. She's gonna be out
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: there snow angels.
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: Yeah, she's getting rude of it. Just lay on the
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: ground swao.
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: Yeah, it's gonna be a littleld it's gonna be a little
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: wett You just gotta embrace it.
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: And then don't be a thermometer roue.
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: Yeah. Hey, come on, that's a Dan Gable original. I
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: don't even know if he said.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: It, but these are the thermometer thermostat speech is one
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: that if you're worth a ship.
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: As a coach, you're telling it to your team.
- 1:04:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: Parts of the year where guys are starting to bitch,
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: you're starting to feel it a little bit. Listen, you
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: can't we can't control all this other bullshit. Yeah, old
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: man Dan's done that speech once or twice.
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Oh, I'm sure Dan.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a good coffee beans speech out there.
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: Google is saying that is a Martin Luther King junior quote.
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: Oh there we go, Yes, who.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: There we go.
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: That's wonderful. Well done, dude, well done. Yeah. Also, weatherise
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: your house. That was a big one for me last year.
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: Around the snow day, are pipes froze and if I
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: had gone underneath the house to check, I was seeing
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: that some of those pipes were running on the ground.
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: I needed to get them up in the beams or
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: whatever they're called.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, that's smart that you're you're putting some young
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: dads on game.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: They might need to go check the pipes.
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: Open your cabinets. That's a big one. I know, that's
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: a big one.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: Open the cabinets.
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: Oh yeah, for like keeping the sync from freezing over.
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: Apparently a helps the temperature to kind of enter into
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: like the underneath of the sink and keep those pipes warm.
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: That's good game.
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: It's been a little that game. I'm no expert. My
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: pipes have been frozen multiple times. Texans have we got
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: to get the community involved. When this drops, it'll be
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: Wednesday morning. Yeah, because you're listening hopefully on Wednesday morning
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: right now, we're Thursday.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: Snow isn't come yet.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: Yeah, so just drop any tips for snow days to
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: pre prep work, whether it's what is it weatherizing your house?
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: Winter rising?
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, weathering no, I think I said yeah either way, winter.
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: Rising your house?
- 1:05:32Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: Yeah, whatever games out there. We got embraced the snow, Dad,
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: you got embraced. And speaking of winter rising things or
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: weatherizing them. Uh. I took Scarlet to the zoo this weekend.
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: That is my crack a cold one. She just absolutely
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: crushed it. Dude, it's so much fun getting to hang
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: out with people outside the house. I don't know if
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: I touched on this last episode. Babysitter went absolutely fantastic.
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: Let's go absolutely fantastic for Jared show. So we have
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: her schedule, we know her openings, we have two date
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: nights scheduled for this month. Yeah, dude, let's go. Are
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: you kidding me? January twenty eight.
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: How was the feeling when you left the babysitter the
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: first time?
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: Dude? Really really well, I'm so glad that we did.
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: Here's a little dad hack. Meet the babysitter in person
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: before said babysitting night.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: That way you said a dad hack. That just feels
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: like you should probably just meet the babysitter.
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: Oh parents, Yes, sorry, parents, Yes, meet the babysitter.
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: Have kid meet them. There you go, good clarification.
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: Well, thank you, super babysit is seven.
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: How tall are you?
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: And they said you were pretty good? So I think
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: we're gonna go.
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: With yeah, all right, we'll see there.
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: Honey, you've met her, right, yeah, honey, I mean, come on,
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: what do you think I am? When you get here?
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: Just say we hey, look I told my wife about you.
- 1:07:04Speaker 3: I said, I met you. I know, we haven't I
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: know we haven't met. Just whenever you come into the
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: house to say to see if you tell that you
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: met me, all that we'll have a pizza there for you.
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: We'll buy you a pizza.
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: Okay, uh the but she was great, have your your
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: child meet them. Scarlet like hung out with her at
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: this coffee shop for like an hour and a half
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: and was like getting our chest, playing with their hair,
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: YadA YadA. So when she came over on the night
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: of Scarlet won friendly face, Scarlet was super sleepy and
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: she just melted onto Julia's shoulder and looked out like
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: a light dude. So leaving was the easiest thing in
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: the entire world. I mean, she was pto. Where was
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: I going, Trip to the zoo? Trip to the zoo.
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: So anyways, yeah, just getting out of the house is
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: absolutely incredible and getting to hang out with adult humans.
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: Got to meet some new friends. They were a couple
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: of friends of Jared's. That was very front, very fun.
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: They are actually about to enter into PT six here
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: in may Oh, which was I told Jared. I was like,
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: we got to hook up your boy Adam with some
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: for the dad's stuff. Lovely couple. Mom dude. Mom was
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: asking me some questions about the strollers, because guess what
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: Sherman did. He forgot to bring his stroller to the
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: zoo Saturday. I got to rent a stroller from the zoo,
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: got to pay money. That was fun, that was so fun.
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: I forgot the stroller.
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: Good good, got a stroller that's built for a four
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: year old, not a six month old. They had to
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: pack all these blankets and so she would fit.
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: You're sending jail photos. What's that stroller? We're what happened
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: to the stroller?
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: What stroller the Sherman, the Nuna or the Duna? We
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: have two strollers? Where are they? Ah?
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: I forgot them, and.
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: I'm going to I'm going easy on Jill there in
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: the back of her car. But I did not know.
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: I didn't know. I didn't know. Hey, I didn't do
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: that Jill under the bus. I kind of did everything
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: she does for the family, and hey, I was operating
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: under the assumption that I had messed up. As the
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: funniest part, so all of my pictures were very strategically
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: not Scarlet in the stroller throughout the entire day, and
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: then realized when I got home and the stroller wasn't
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: in there, I was like, Oh, it's in her car.
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: So this one's on Jill.
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: This one's on Jill. Finally put up the graphic where
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: it's like hang the banner where it's like a thousand
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: to zero and just put a one for Sureman, I
- 1:09:42Speaker 3: find the banner. Oh but dude, this year was just
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: a ton of fun. Jared and his girlfriend Mackenzie, they're
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: a wonderful, wonderful couple. We love hanging out with them.
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: It was very fun just to get to see Scarlett
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: interacting with them, to get to see Jared and st
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: Sixer interacting with Scarlet. Jared might be in a little
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: bit of trouble, he told us later that night. He
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: kind of fucks with babies now exact quote.
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: Yeah, duck with babies now.
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: He kind of fucks with babies now because Jared's a
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: gooom bret. He's a he is is so yeah with
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: goombrat tendencies and yeah, it was just it was really
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: fun to watch McKenzie interacting with Scarlet. Yeah, it's Scarlet
- 1:10:28Speaker 3: loves girls, loves girls. We're at Buffalo Wild Wings the
- 1:10:31Speaker 3: other night and there was a little table of teenage girls.
- 1:10:35Speaker 3: Scarlet watched him the entire day, entire thought she was
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: one of them and wanted like, Mom, Dad, you go away,
- 1:10:42Speaker 3: put me at that tape. Yeah yeah, but yeah, dude,
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: just getting out going and doing stuff the zoo. It
- 1:10:49Speaker 3: was a ton of fun. Didn't win arizd Scarlet very
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: well though. She's kind of got a little like stuff
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: in the cough, you know what I'm saying, just got
- 1:10:59Speaker 3: like some stuff in her lungs. So I kind of
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: got a little talking to from Jilly being on that.
- 1:11:04Speaker 3: We'll work on it.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: We're gonna be are winter rizing her. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: you got you got a molder.
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: I'm building up her straight.
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: Yeah, you're building up the straight little thing. The little cough.
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: That's good, honey, wire cheeks chapped? What's going on with that?
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: You didn't put any low share of vasoline on her? No?
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: I didn't.
- 1:11:21Speaker 5: Good?
- 1:11:22Speaker 3: You know, hey, did she have a whole other layer
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: underneath her jacket? No, she didn't.
- 1:11:27Speaker 5: Good.
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: We got to communicate about the stroller. Good. Good forgot
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: to put moisturizer on her.
- 1:11:31Speaker 5: Good.
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: Good to get a cough, good thought I was taking
- 1:11:34Speaker 3: Everything went great, though, everything went great. Thought I was
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: taking her to a restaurant. It was really just a
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: bar that served food. Good dude, the guy, the host
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: that was like at the door to the place we
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: walked in. When I walked in with Scarlett, was like,
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: Oh okay, they're doing a baby. They were very nice
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: and accommodating. Shout out the corner of the corner bar. Yeah,
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: we brought out the corner, no free shoutouts. It's a
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: great spot if you're in Nashville. They were very accommodate.
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: Speaking of zoo we saw Zutopia two on Friday night.
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: Tell me, tell me about it because I freaking loved Zootopia.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Bro Zootopia two is a banger, great story, great story,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: arcs with characters, great twists. Rus engaged the whole time.
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: We took rid of the movie theater on Friday night.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: Friday night, got to sit here for Scottie. So we
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: had a little you know, mommy daughter or mom and
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: dad taking Rue on a little date night to the
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: movie theater for a movie night and pizza. Friday didn't
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: get the pizza, but dude, Ru loved it. She's like
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: sitting up on our edge of the CT entire movie
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: to the to the whole point of where probably the
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: back third of the movie was left.
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: She had to go potty. Yeah, but she didn't want
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: to go potty. She wanted to watch the movie.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: Oh, it's like, all right, sweet a, Right, here's what
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: we could do this little trick in movie because we
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: can't pause the movie like we do at home. We
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: can't pause while you go to the bathroom. Ever we
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: get there's a there's a crowd in here, we can't
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: pause the movie.
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: Was she asking to positive, Yes, you see if we
- 1:12:59Speaker 3: could pause the movie?
- 1:13:00Speaker 5: Cute?
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: I love that.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: And I was like, but what we can do? This
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: is a part we just got done with a big moment.
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: There's still a little bit of.
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: The movie left.
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: If we run, we can run right now and go
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: to the go potty, and then we'll run back and
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: we'll be able to see great parts.
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: Of the movie.
- 1:13:12Speaker 3: Heck yeah, I was like, but if you don't want to,
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: you're you're gonna have to hold it.
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: You're gonna have to kind of wrestle around and hold it.
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: She's like, I want to hold it dead.
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: That's a big moment.
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: She held it. That's a big mill for sure. She's
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: just gonna pee.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: She's gonna be a through underwear and we're gonna, you know,
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: have a little code red, get some napkins, kind of
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: like held it it. Yeah, she held it tour. After
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: we run in the body, she goes botty. But Zutopia
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: two is phenomenal. Any parents out there who've seen Utopia one,
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: Zutopia two is incredible. If you haven't seen it with
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: your toddler yet, take your toddler. Yeah, if you haven't
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: seen Zutopia at all, you can just go watch Utopia two.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: You got start with Utopia one. It doesn't matter. But
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: Zutopia is the move.
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: That's what I was going to ask you as far
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: as Utopia two goes, I am a bit of a
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: snob with movies. I just wanted to make sure it's
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: not too many callbacks to the first. It's kind of
- 1:14:00Speaker 3: its own original story.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: It's kind of its own it's kind of its own
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: original to where Fox and Bunny like they you know,
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: they just they saved the day in the first one. Yeah, Yeah,
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: to where they are like vet cops now when they
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: kind of go off and do their own thing. I'm
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: like love the friction with the with the Chief, Like,
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: what is it the chief?
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: What is he a bull?
- 1:14:19Speaker 5: Uh?
- 1:14:20Speaker 3: Yeah? But they have like all those.
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: Little ties to the first one. But it's like a
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: new it's a newer story. It's a fun it's a
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: good one. It's a good one.
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: You'll like it.
- 1:14:30Speaker 3: Daniel Tiger would be very proud of Real for holding
- 1:14:33Speaker 3: it during the mode.
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: Yeah, Daniel Tiger would be bumped and Tiger was sitting
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: there just holding her hand through it.
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: God, but she loved it.
- 1:14:41Speaker 3: Bro.
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: Shakira, she's like the the antelope. Yeah, Shakira has another
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: banger song to where we've been hitting that song. We've
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: just been going back and forth on a repeat from
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: the first Utopian the second one. But she's got another
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: banger song.
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: I forgot that that was an original piece that she
- 1:14:57Speaker 3: did for that first one. And when the credits were
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: and we were watching Zoo House, Yeah, God, I forgot
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: what a banger this is.
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: It was good though. I highly recommend to all the parents.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: I love that everybody wants a good a good kids movie.
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: Yes, I actually have a dad hack or a survival
- 1:15:17Speaker 3: kit for you, specifically, will before we get into emails
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: and call in. Okay, I know that you're going to
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: be doing some moving here very soon.
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: I know the back has given you trouble in the past. Yeah,
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: I got some KT tape for you. I think it's
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: something that should be an every dad survival kit. As far,
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: it's not gonna help with anything structural. This is more
- 1:15:40Speaker 3: of like a muscular thing, but just to keep you loose,
- 1:15:44Speaker 3: to keep you operating during your move I got some.
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: KT tape for you. I appreciate that. Man. Shout out.
- 1:15:49Speaker 3: No free shout out to KT tap, Yeah, no.
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: Free shots to k t Yeah. Did we get in
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: some of the hotline?
- 1:15:55Speaker 3: I would love to. I do have a I guess
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: before we get in the hotline. I have a dad
- 1:15:59Speaker 3: hack here.
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: We'll do the birthday shout out after the hotline and

- 1:16:17Speaker 1: stuffed animals and the washer and dryer.
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: Love you guys.
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: We had a little bit of a situation last week
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: where Ruse coaching me up on Hey, you need it
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: back for Lama. Yeah, put Lama in the in the dryer.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: This one here another dad hack from Alex. That hack
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: for those out there that may be a little tight
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: on funds, start yourself a little emergency date night fund.
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: I love this.
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: I love this emergency fund. That screams Dave Ramsey, Love
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: Dave Ramsey. Been setting us out a few bucks each paycheck,
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: knowing a time like this would come. Daughter just turned
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: eight months old. Sleep aggression is in full effect. Mama
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: just stopped pumping, so hormones are all over the place.
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: This is great awareness in coverage right now from Alex.
- 1:16:55Speaker 3: Good Alex.
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: She's getting some flowers sent to work on Friday. Allage, dude,
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: What a gangster Sunday night. We are going to get

- 1:17:13Speaker 2: a little papery.
- 1:17:14Speaker 3: Yeah, we got no. We gotta cut that from the
- 1:17:16Speaker 3: episode because that's gonna get me in trouble with Jill.
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: We can't let Phoenix hear that one. That's crazy work, because.
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: That's a PT sixer operating next day.
- 1:17:25Speaker 3: Phoenix is gonna hate that. He's gonna hate it.
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: What a cold duty bro oh.

- 1:18:16Speaker 3: with the kids and sometimes we get together for some
- 1:18:18Speaker 3: ice cold dad juice. Once the kids are all in bed.
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: Either way, it's always a good time.
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: We might have to cut that comment.

- 1:19:44Speaker 1: to be featured on for the dads, this.
- 1:19:47Speaker 3: Is Andy with the Dad hackstro for us. Bro. I'm
- 1:19:57Speaker 3: so excited for this.
- 1:19:59Speaker 6: It's what I It's one of my favorite callings we've
- 1:20:01Speaker 6: ever received, just because of the voice and what he said.
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: What he said that.
- 1:20:05Speaker 7: I'll sorry, golly, boys, you got Andy here real quick.
- 1:20:12Speaker 7: I got a pro tip for expecting fathers, which is
- 1:20:14Speaker 7: the situation I'm currently in.
- 1:20:17Speaker 5: But before that, we'll let you know I'm a day
- 1:20:19Speaker 5: one listener.
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:20:20Speaker 7: I started listening first episode and then I was like, well,
- 1:20:24Speaker 7: probably do this because I.
- 1:20:25Speaker 5: Like these boys. Again, I figured to give me some
- 1:20:28Speaker 5: wisdom for expecting child two. Three years. A week later,
- 1:20:32Speaker 5: my wife's like, hey, I'm breaking. I'm like, well, good news.
- 1:20:35Speaker 5: I prepared. I've been listening to this podcast. So fast
- 1:20:39Speaker 5: forward for the expecting father.
- 1:20:43Speaker 7: He's probably gonna have to go on some daycara tours
- 1:20:46Speaker 7: and if you've never been there, you have no idea
- 1:20:50Speaker 7: what to ask these people. Yeah, we're in there asking
- 1:20:52Speaker 7: him like, uh, where they play at, where they sleep
- 1:20:58Speaker 7: or the doors locked?
- 1:21:00Speaker 5: We got none. Man, Before you go in, you have
- 1:21:02Speaker 5: to quit Google. You look like a hero to your wife.
- 1:21:06Speaker 5: You go in there and be like, what's the certification
- 1:21:08Speaker 5: of the teachers?
- 1:21:10Speaker 3: Teachers? Like?
- 1:21:11Speaker 5: What a question? From this moment, excuse me answer, I
- 1:21:14Speaker 5: didn't hear what you said. That's good. Uh, follow it up.
- 1:21:17Speaker 7: It's like who's c if your certified, and what do
- 1:21:18Speaker 7: we do to make sure you keep taking the courses?
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I.
- 1:21:23Speaker 5: Love that question. So yeah, you have to quit Google.
- 1:21:26Speaker 5: That's my pro tip and.
- 1:21:30Speaker 3: You'll have a good day day.
- 1:21:32Speaker 5: Bro.
- 1:21:32Speaker 3: That's au from Andy right there. That's a plus phone
- 1:21:36Speaker 3: call from Andy right there. Indeed, dude, the fact that
- 1:21:40Speaker 3: a guy that sounds like that loves his pot Phoenix
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: would piss his pants of Andy walk into a room,
- 1:21:46Speaker 3: would piss his pants Andy, so on.
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: It, dude, He's on it. You call the fluff right there, Andy.
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: His hack.
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: His pro tip is any situation or conversation you're about
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: to go into, use Google.
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: Hey, what are the questions to ask? Yes, went talking
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: to so and so as a parent.
- 1:22:03Speaker 3: And it is true. I talked about that on an
- 1:22:06Speaker 3: episode with you guys of our shopping experience. I was
- 1:22:11Speaker 3: the first guy that he described. I didn't Google beforehand. Yeah,
- 1:22:14Speaker 3: I didn't know anything to ask. The only thing was
- 1:22:17Speaker 3: the security measure, which was, like, you know, do the
- 1:22:20Speaker 3: doors locked? He's exactly right, dude, he's shout out Andy.
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: And like I think to times where we might be
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: sitting with somebody that maybe baby sits the kids, or
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: potential nanny or a doctor or whatever it is, troll
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: will rip off some of these questions and then we'll
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: cand I sit there because I'm kind of quiet the
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: whole time, and Troll look over to me and we
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: kind of just both smiled.
- 1:22:43Speaker 5: Jos.
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: She's like, you have any question, sweetheart. I feel pretty good.
- 1:22:48Speaker 5: It's pretty good.
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: But that game right there, I need a Yeah, you
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: fuff use Google. Hey, I'm about to meet with this
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: about to meet with this pediatrician. What are some good
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: questions to ask as a father?
- 1:22:58Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: Yeah, you had a situation with your new house where
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: you did the blue tape thing where you all went
- 1:23:05Speaker 3: around and you kind of blue taped everything. I know
- 1:23:08Speaker 3: renters do that all the time too, where you go
- 1:23:10Speaker 3: through and you take pictures of stuff in the house,
- 1:23:13Speaker 3: any of those little things where it's like Dad could
- 1:23:17Speaker 3: either go in completely blind or could go in and
- 1:23:19Speaker 3: look like he did his homework well done.
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: And I need Andy Colling in more. Yeah, I need
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: that voice in my life.
- 1:23:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm always and Andy please and sounds and Andy
- 1:23:33Speaker 3: sounds like an older dad.
- 1:23:36Speaker 4: Did he say how oldest kids were?
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: Well daycare?
- 1:23:38Speaker 4: So?
- 1:23:39Speaker 3: Yeah, but he has that voice of like a seasoned
- 1:23:43Speaker 3: early sixty who loves watching a football. I just don't
- 1:23:48Speaker 3: run the damn Yeah. I don't want to be that guy,
- 1:23:51Speaker 3: but just guessing his accent, I feel like he's anywhere
- 1:23:55Speaker 3: from Abilene, Texas to Little Rock, Arkansas. Is going to
- 1:24:00Speaker 3: be my guest, and that could be somewhere in Oklahoma too. Andy,
- 1:24:03Speaker 3: if you don't mind sharing your location, you just sound
- 1:24:06Speaker 3: like my kind of people. You just kind of sound
- 1:24:09Speaker 3: like a tics. Andy. I like those boys. I listened
- 1:24:12Speaker 3: to it.
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: That's your that's your neck of the woods. That's my
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: neck of the woods. He really throws for a loopies.
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: I got Felsen from Minnesota.
- 1:24:19Speaker 3: I'm from PRISONO man, like, damn Okay, California. This is
- 1:24:25Speaker 3: from V he says. I thought I was ready.
- 1:24:31Speaker 5: Boys, it's V again. That's a voicemail about an hour ago.
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: Hung up.
- 1:24:37Speaker 3: My wife looking at me and was like, you really
- 1:24:39Speaker 3: just butchered that from calling back because when it was happening,
- 1:24:44Speaker 3: we watched someone go off the road because Ike's hell out,
- 1:24:47Speaker 3: so everyone be safe.
- 1:24:49Speaker 8: But just my thing was is I thought I had
- 1:24:52Speaker 8: all this together because we're expecting our.
- 1:24:54Speaker 3: First in April, and then I listened to the episode
- 1:24:58Speaker 3: where you guys are talking about sucking you.
- 1:25:00Speaker 4: He could got of noses, and I look at my
- 1:25:02Speaker 4: wife and I'm like, what are they talking about?
- 1:25:04Speaker 3: And then I finally realized, like, I have no idea
- 1:25:07Speaker 3: what I'm doing here.
- 1:25:08Speaker 8: So my question is is there's all.
- 1:25:11Speaker 3: The basic stuff that you know, expecting fathers me, but
- 1:25:14Speaker 3: what is the stuff that really threw you for a
- 1:25:16Speaker 3: curve ball that you really had to adapt and learn
- 1:25:19Speaker 3: how to do. Appreciate you boys, talk to your fam'd
- 1:25:22Speaker 3: be sick as that.
- 1:25:23Speaker 6: That's a good phoney, really good question. The first phone
- 1:25:27Speaker 6: call he sent in was much more mild and generic.
- 1:25:30Speaker 6: The second one you could tell the wife was like
- 1:25:32Speaker 6: you suck at that?
- 1:25:32Speaker 3: And he's like, no, I'm calling back and getting and
- 1:25:34Speaker 3: it was an hour on the dot. He thought about it.
- 1:25:39Speaker 3: He pulled an handy and he said, what's a good
- 1:25:41Speaker 3: question I can ask these boys?
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: Naturally, that's a great feeling and thought that you felt
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: when hearing about the mucus and it's not sucking. Yeah,
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: because again that's that was news to me. It was like, oh, hey,
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: kids got a stuff. He knows, like, how do we
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: get this stuff even out of their noses? Now we
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: got this little bulb right here. That's when we first
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: learned about the bulb. Then we go to the manual snotsucker.
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: And then I'm learning through sure that there's this machine
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: of a snotsucker out there that you don't have to
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: sit there and feel like you're torturing the kid. They
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: actually probably have fun with it or love it. We
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: we're still in the process. I need to get my
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: hands on.
- 1:26:12Speaker 3: Those bro I ripped some mucus out this morning, by
- 1:26:15Speaker 3: the way, ripped some out with that electronic and all went, well,
- 1:26:19Speaker 3: she oh yeah, and dude, I'm talking so much. And guys,
- 1:26:24Speaker 3: we don't get any money from that company of whatever
- 1:26:27Speaker 3: that It's.
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: Crazy how much you pull out of their nose, Like
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: when I'm doing it with the tube, the manual one.
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: It's crazy how you'll keep hearing the noise and you're
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: like you got to take a breath and continue to
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: go because like, my god, they got so much up
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: there they do.
- 1:26:39Speaker 3: Sorry I cut you off.
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: Well, no, I was gonna just say. I felt like
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: that's a natural like you, we have no clue. We
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: don't know.
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: I want to say my first my first moments is
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: just always having the diaper bag ready and being in
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: like thinking ahead more. I'm very poor at being able
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: to think ahead. Stuff that's Chari is sitting there saying,
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: I'm like, or she might whether you want to call
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: it getting an ear for or we're just having a
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: conversation about it.
- 1:27:03Speaker 2: Trump's in there.
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, I haven't been able. I don't know
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: how to get my brain the forward think about some
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: of this stuff.
- 1:27:10Speaker 3: I to where I'm like learning on the fly.
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: There again, no matter even what we tell you, there's
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: gonna be things that come up that we're not even
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: currently aware of. There's gonna be things that I've already
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: forgotten that. Yeah, sure threw me for a loop.
- 1:27:22Speaker 3: As far as if he's talking about he's about to
- 1:27:25Speaker 3: be a father, correct, is the whole point of this.
- 1:27:28Speaker 3: There is a multitude of things that you're gonna have
- 1:27:32Speaker 3: to learn that you're gonna need to learn. But as
- 1:27:34Speaker 3: far as your basics of like getting sorry, swaddling, uh no, sucking, feeding,
- 1:27:44Speaker 3: and putting down for sleep, like if you get that
- 1:27:49Speaker 3: figured out, if you can go and changing diapers, dull.
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: Changing diapers, changing and you're gonna you're gonna do more
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: than you think. Yeah, it's not gonna be like you
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: let one go and.
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: You let it sit. No, you want to you want
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: to change your diaper aceps. They don't get it. Dipper ashes.
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: Having a cream on their little bump, Yes, a little
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: cream on their bumb like as you get done, kind
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: of wiping them with a good clean what are those
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: things called the cleans the little wipes, Yeah, a little
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: clean wipes after you get done doing that, putting a
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: little cream on their bum.
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: For wifey.
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: I don't know if she's pumping breastfeeding. You guys are
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: doing formula, but Choro was a mix of breastfeeding and pumping.
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: So Charle getting done as many times as I could
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: think about.
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: Her or think ahead.
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: It's like washing out, washing out all the things for
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: the breast pumping, like you being the guy to do that,
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: to help take that off, take the little things off
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: of their plate. Because again postpartums are real thing. So
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: being there for your wife, having constant communication and conversation.
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: You don't always have to be like over his shoulder,
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: how you feeling, how you feeling?
- 1:28:47Speaker 2: Anything I can do he are we doing?
- 1:28:48Speaker 3: Mmm? But just knowing your presences there and you're thinking
- 1:28:52Speaker 3: about these things around her world and her life to
- 1:28:54Speaker 3: where whether it's cleaning out things with the with the
- 1:28:57Speaker 3: with the breast pump, being like, hey, go change or
- 1:29:00Speaker 3: you you take take a take a load off? Yeah, okay,
- 1:29:04Speaker 3: can I throw a little extra dad hack that right in?
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: Alex would would do the date night guy. Yeah, Jill
- 1:29:11Speaker 3: had a snack bucket for whenever she was pumping. Bro
- 1:29:16Speaker 3: put together a little snack bucket for your girl, you know,
- 1:29:19Speaker 3: all of your favorites.
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: That's good, that's good game right there, that's good.
- 1:29:22Speaker 3: Get I didn't do it. Jill did it for herself.
- 1:29:24Speaker 3: But hey, maybe I could make the look like a
- 1:29:27Speaker 3: real petty sick. Yeah, and dude, just get all of
- 1:29:30Speaker 3: her favorite snacks and hey, what's this We already have cheeses.
- 1:29:33Speaker 3: We already have Welch's gummies. Yeah, but you know for
- 1:29:36Speaker 3: when you're pumping. Yeah, got your little slack basket.
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: Snack bucket being on type of diaper bag. Understanding cream
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: going on the bum with the baby when you're changing
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: the baby.
- 1:29:48Speaker 3: A lot, and you can never use too much. Now,
- 1:29:50Speaker 3: if you're on a tight budget, you can absolutely use
- 1:29:53Speaker 3: too much. But you really, that's my one tip on
- 1:29:55Speaker 3: the cream.
- 1:29:57Speaker 2: Decluttering the house.
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: There'll be a lot of stuff going on when the
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: baby comes to where again, wife, he's going to be
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: in it, so decluttering the house, cleaning up the kitchen,
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: picking up things around the house, making sure she has
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: a clean space. Because the women are essentially like locked
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: in the house for like the.
- 1:30:12Speaker 2: First eight weeks.
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: It feels like, Yeah, little stuff like that little interest
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: your wife has, Like maybe there's a sweet treat you
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: can bring her home. Maybe she's a latte girl, maybe
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: she's a coffee girl going out and getting the coffees.
- 1:30:24Speaker 3: If you don't have a rocker at your house, there
- 1:30:27Speaker 3: is a really nice rocker at Target that I swear
- 1:30:30Speaker 3: is one hundred dollars on the dot. It looks like
- 1:30:33Speaker 3: a white rocking chair that you would have on your
- 1:30:36Speaker 3: front porch. It comes with a nice little foot rest
- 1:30:38Speaker 3: on it too that sways back and forth as well.
- 1:30:41Speaker 3: That's like separate of the chair. It's one hundred dollars.
- 1:30:44Speaker 3: Even I know that's pretty expensive, but if you're in
- 1:30:47Speaker 3: the furniture game, you know that's a that's a pretty
- 1:30:49Speaker 3: good deal. Yeah, And get a nice little bit booty
- 1:30:52Speaker 3: cushion for dude, and that can be her little pump station.
- 1:30:55Speaker 3: That could be her little rock station. Having a good rocker, Yeah,
- 1:31:02Speaker 3: getting becoming a pro and swaddling. I have to.
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: I'm trying to think of anything else.
- 1:31:10Speaker 3: In the swaddling game for any Like new dads that
- 1:31:12Speaker 3: are listening are like, oh man, I gotta get on
- 1:31:15Speaker 3: the swaddling. Just on YouTube. That's what I did. I
- 1:31:18Speaker 3: looked up a video like almost how to tie your
- 1:31:21Speaker 3: tie type video. Swaddling's not too it's not crazy. You
- 1:31:25Speaker 3: just got to make sure you have a big enough
- 1:31:26Speaker 3: blanket or big enough towel for sure. For sure, get
- 1:31:29Speaker 3: him nice and tight.
- 1:31:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: Understanding the schedule. It's like eat, sleep, poop. You're trying
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: to get him to sleep for two and a half
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: two to three hours at a time.
- 1:31:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: Understanding what shifts you guys are gonna be taking. If
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: you guys are talking about who's going to be doing
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: what shift? Yeah, those would be the things in the beginning.
- 1:31:48Speaker 3: Yeah, and the start shopping for a car seats like
- 1:31:51Speaker 3: you're shopping for a car. That's how you could really
- 1:31:53Speaker 3: impress her. Yeah, honey, I'm looking at these. You know,
- 1:31:56Speaker 3: I got four options here. I like this one because
- 1:31:58Speaker 3: of that one. Da da du He can't go wrong
- 1:32:01Speaker 3: with the car seat. All of them are great. Start
- 1:32:03Speaker 3: shopping car seats in front of her on your phone.
- 1:32:06Speaker 3: Let her kind of see it over your shoulder.
- 1:32:07Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, what are you doing?
- 1:32:09Speaker 3: Just looking, just trying to figure out what car seats best. Yeah,
- 1:32:13Speaker 3: I've heard so, you know, Will Will says he's got
- 1:32:15Speaker 3: to do in a nuna, but we don't know, you know,
- 1:32:18Speaker 3: Sherman's got do. We're gonna have pressure cargo in the
- 1:32:21Speaker 3: car now. I'm just trying to make sure we're safe, right, Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:32:25Speaker 3: it's a good foundation. Good foundation. We got one last
- 1:32:28Speaker 3: one from Max, all right, got to keep it under
- 1:32:31Speaker 3: an hour. I have to keep it under an hour.
- 1:32:34Speaker 8: Boys, Max here pt six member to a nine month
- 1:32:38Speaker 8: old baby girl, have a dad hack and response to
- 1:32:40Speaker 8: your question at the end of your last podcast. For me,
- 1:32:43Speaker 8: the hardest part of being a parent doesn't have to
- 1:32:46Speaker 8: do anything with my daughter, but instead has to do
- 1:32:48Speaker 8: with self care and that change of identity. My wife
- 1:32:51Speaker 8: and I were fortunate enough to both you home for
- 1:32:54Speaker 8: the first five months of our daughter's life and being
- 1:32:56Speaker 8: excited first time parents. Our daughter was our focus twenty
- 1:33:00Speaker 8: four to seven, especially in those early months with learning
- 1:33:03Speaker 8: curves and figuring everything out. It just apped all of
- 1:33:05Speaker 8: our energy. This is where my dad hack comes in.
- 1:33:09Speaker 8: Regular happy hours with other parents. Now, don't judge me
- 1:33:12Speaker 8: because I do live in good old Wisconsin, but meeting
- 1:33:15Speaker 8: almost every Friday at a brewery with a couple other
- 1:33:17Speaker 8: dads and moms has been a game changer. Sometimes as parents,
- 1:33:21Speaker 8: we forget about the outside world or even what day
- 1:33:24Speaker 8: it is. But having some close friends that have kids
- 1:33:26Speaker 8: close in age and can relate brings you back to earth,
- 1:33:30Speaker 8: just like having this podcast. Hearing relatable stories and other
- 1:33:33Speaker 8: experiences makes you feel like you aren't alone. Happy hour
- 1:33:36Speaker 8: might not look the same as he used to, as
- 1:33:39Speaker 8: we have our diaper bags, snacks, toys, and everything else
- 1:33:42Speaker 8: for the kids, but I think as a parent we
- 1:33:45Speaker 8: appreciate the time with other parents and it's worth it.
- 1:33:48Speaker 2: Level up this dad.
- 1:33:49Speaker 8: Hack even more if you have all the wives meet
- 1:33:53Speaker 8: up beforehand while the dads stay back and keep the
- 1:33:57Speaker 8: kids for an hour. Give those moms an hour of
- 1:33:59Speaker 8: time to themselves. The moms deserve that and appreciate it.
- 1:34:04Speaker 8: Thanks boyse pt six, Forever appreciate it.
- 1:34:08Speaker 3: I hate to do this because that was a really
- 1:34:10Speaker 3: great call, but we will have to actually cut that
- 1:34:13Speaker 3: chef because Phoenix is gonna hate the fuck out of
- 1:34:16Speaker 3: the voice.
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: You made that way too seriously. Second, you said we're
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: actually going out. Hey, that's a that's a great phone call. Great,
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: a great call in. And he is one thousand percent right.
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: I want to say the biggest thing I know listening
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: to Charro is like going in the motherhood and everything
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: else was like the loss of identity of the life
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: that you had before. And I feel like she you
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: just get boxed into just being a parent like that
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: that becomes what your identity is.
- 1:34:51Speaker 2: Yeah, So having that those tips right there blows his
- 1:34:55Speaker 2: name again.
- 1:34:55Speaker 3: Max.
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: Having those tips right there from Max is spot on
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: because it it is it's a twenty four to seven
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: gig and kind of like lose yourself a little bit.
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: And then when you're in the suck and you're around
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: just your partner twenty four to seven the entire time,
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: like bickering and some things are just gonna happen, whether
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: it's resentment, whether it's subconscious, whatever it is, you're gonna
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: be around each other at all times, your roommate. You're
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: locked in the foxhole together. And that's awesome that he
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: got five months off, but as he's sitting there putting
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: everybody on game, it's like just being around that person
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: at all times can cause some just internal chaos, internal
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: dialogue that you have with yourself and just feel like, man,
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: is this what it's going to be like forever?
- 1:35:32Speaker 3: It is crazy. Just talking about the corner bar that
- 1:35:35Speaker 3: I went to with Jared and Mackenzie. I'll send you
- 1:35:39Speaker 3: the picture and you can bring it up. I brought
- 1:35:42Speaker 3: her little upright seat that we've talked about before. Ye
- 1:35:45Speaker 3: have that on the table. She's sitting there, Jared and
- 1:35:48Speaker 3: Mackenzie are having drinks. We're living life, we're being humans
- 1:35:53Speaker 3: in the wild. And Scarlet's right there, and like that
- 1:35:58Speaker 3: was my first sign being out and get hot wings
- 1:36:01Speaker 3: and fries and you know, a drink with friends and
- 1:36:05Speaker 3: stuff like you just feel.
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: Like your battery just gets recharged a little bit in
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: the biggest way. Everything I was thinking leading up to this,
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: I can. I can start throwing this into the equation
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: and it'll just bring me much more joy. Not that
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: you're not having fun and not having a lot of
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: joy in your life, but oh, I can go out
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: and do these things.
- 1:36:26Speaker 2: Scarlett crushed it.
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, things I tell myself on Hey, I can't
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: do this, I gotta stay home.
- 1:36:31Speaker 3: The kid blah bla blah.
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: Dude, if you figure it out and then the moment
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: you do step outside or I love the hack too,
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: the little tip on let the women go out for
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: an hour before while the dads hang back, pro move
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: have a nice school lollipop with the boys before they
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: go out and meet the women for dinner. I love
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: that man, pro move and we it levels up bro
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: again that that battery just fills up.
- 1:36:51Speaker 3: Yeah, just in a humongous shout out also to everybody
- 1:36:54Speaker 3: that's all these comments and emails and calls today have
- 1:36:58Speaker 3: been fantasy been great. Yeah, they've been really good.
- 1:37:01Speaker 2: They've been great.
- 1:37:02Speaker 3: Shout out to him too.
- 1:37:03Speaker 6: You could tell he wrote the intense wrote down like
- 1:37:07Speaker 6: it's it's a little bit of a script, like I
- 1:37:08Speaker 6: love it. Listening to it, I was like, Oh, this
- 1:37:10Speaker 6: guy said I'm gonna get on the fucking show and
- 1:37:13Speaker 6: this is how I'm gonna do it.
- 1:37:13Speaker 3: So that's great and I'm gonna give the dad some
- 1:37:16Speaker 3: real game. Also, shout out Wisconsin. When I was there,
- 1:37:20Speaker 3: I saw a Madison There was a dentist office where
- 1:37:24Speaker 3: the dentists also owned a brewery that was attached to
- 1:37:28Speaker 3: his dental office. Look, we don't shout out Wisconsin on
- 1:37:33Speaker 3: this show. Oh will I just Wisconsin Badger's haunt my
- 1:37:38Speaker 3: night man. Okay, well shout out.
- 1:37:40Speaker 2: Maybe he meant something by that again, that's me. That's
- 1:37:43Speaker 2: I'm taking that one.
- 1:37:43Speaker 3: Personal shout out. Lincoln, Nebraska. I've never been by. I've
- 1:37:48Speaker 3: heard really great things. And I bet they got some
- 1:37:50Speaker 3: dental breweries there. I bet they There we go, there
- 1:37:53Speaker 3: we go.
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: Come on, all right, I got a wifey shout out here,
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: wifey shout out before we end the episode with a
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: lesson of the week, which is gonna come to us
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: from Dan Gable.
- 1:38:05Speaker 2: It's gonna come to us from David.
- 1:38:06Speaker 3: Also, I have a lesson of the Week that I've
- 1:38:08Speaker 3: pushed three weeks. I can't read it for you what
- 1:38:11Speaker 3: you can read it. But we're still gotta have a
- 1:38:12Speaker 3: Dan Gable quote. I know, I know.
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: All right, Here we go, wipey shout out from Eric
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: Iyantis fellas Eric here from Godly Texas. I had to
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: write in the brag on my wife, Sophia, the ultimate
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: empty sixer and former Alito High School teacher. She's an
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: absolute badass. We have a photo right here of them. No,
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: the lovely couple it seems like they're out there on
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: a hike with the little one.
- 1:38:37Speaker 3: Or maybe yeah, keep reading, it's very different than a hike.
- 1:38:40Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, I see an animal in this photo a.
- 1:38:47Speaker 3: Hunting They get home.
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: On December seventeenth, she gave birth to our twin daughters,
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: and watching her step straight into mo mode with two
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: newborns and still love every second of it has been unreal. Well,
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: ten days before delivering twins, she was still climbing into
- 1:39:03Speaker 1: a deer, standing shooting pigs. Same woman, same great effort
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: and attitude That leads me to my best piece of advice.
- 1:39:10Speaker 1: Make sure you marry a badass, o, Mary, someone who's
- 1:39:13Speaker 1: constantly pushing themselves to be better. When she's leveling up,
- 1:39:16Speaker 1: it forces me to level up two as a husband,
- 1:39:19Speaker 1: as a dad, and a man.
- 1:39:21Speaker 2: We love the pod. You all keep crushing it. Thank you,
- 1:39:23Speaker 2: Eric Yantis. So they were hunting a lovely couple of times.
- 1:39:28Speaker 3: Just a brag on the Yantis family, but also to
- 1:39:30Speaker 3: brag on Alito, Texas man. That's a bear cut right there,
- 1:39:33Speaker 3: missus Yantis. Thank you for wrapping Alito high. Thank you
- 1:39:38Speaker 3: for teaching those young kids, and thank you for going
- 1:39:40Speaker 3: and splitting a hog. Yeah, yeah, just two weeks after
- 1:39:43Speaker 3: giving birth to twins?
- 1:39:45Speaker 6: Was that ten days before delivering between has a very
- 1:39:48Speaker 6: large belly in the picture.
- 1:39:49Speaker 1: Next, Oh my gouge, I'm thinking they're on a hike
- 1:39:52Speaker 1: with the newborn. Oh, hang on a second. This is
- 1:39:55Speaker 1: ten days before she's delivering twins. Come on, man, hey, honey,
- 1:39:58Speaker 1: we gotta get it. We gotta get in the before
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: we get into this delivery room. God, they just wrapped
- 1:40:03Speaker 1: Aldos so well and shout out Godly too. That's a
- 1:40:05Speaker 1: great community. They're truly in my neck of the woods.
- 1:40:08Speaker 1: That's really fun. Shout out the Yntis family. I love
- 1:40:11Speaker 1: shout out big shout out to them.
- 1:40:14Speaker 3: This Okay, before we end the episode, I have the
- 1:40:18Speaker 3: birthday thing as well, but this is from Candice Hurt. Hey, guys,
- 1:40:25Speaker 3: my husband Shane started listening to the pod shortly after
- 1:40:28Speaker 3: our son was born in July. He began referring to
- 1:40:31Speaker 3: himself as a pt sixer and myself as an empty sixer.
- 1:40:34Speaker 3: After overhearing several episodes, it quickly became something that we
- 1:40:39Speaker 3: now enjoy together. Shane is such a great dad to
- 1:40:42Speaker 3: our now six month old Cohen and always embraces the
- 1:40:46Speaker 3: good Times aka the Trenches. He refuses to comment until
- 1:40:50Speaker 3: we are all caught up, and we are so so
- 1:40:53Speaker 3: close to fully catching up on the podcast. Just have
- 1:40:57Speaker 3: to let you guys know how much we appreciates. It's funny,
- 1:41:01Speaker 3: it's entertaining, it's relatable, and with so much great advice
- 1:41:05Speaker 3: and added emotional intelligence.
- 1:41:07Speaker 2: Keep it up and thank you.
- 1:41:08Speaker 3: Ps. We just bought our first lollipops. So far Apple
- 1:41:12Speaker 3: Crisp remains at the top.
- 1:41:16Speaker 2: Indeed it does.
- 1:41:17Speaker 3: Good Lord, this might be an all timer episode for
- 1:41:20Speaker 3: ride Ins.
- 1:41:21Speaker 6: She wrote on five different of our channels to get
- 1:41:25Speaker 6: her husband shouted out as well. I think it was
- 1:41:26Speaker 6: an emails, Instagram, I believe it was x DMS. I
- 1:41:29Speaker 6: believe it was YouTube comment and maybe a Spotify comment
- 1:41:32Speaker 6: as well. All slightly different, but she's a milk Team.
- 1:41:35Speaker 3: Six to that. I say, Shane Hurt, thank you for
- 1:41:38Speaker 3: being an absolute sick of for getting your wife onto this,
- 1:41:41Speaker 3: for just celebrating everything that is fatherhood. Dude, You're a legend.
- 1:41:45Speaker 2: Shane.
- 1:41:46Speaker 3: Thank you. Drum roll please, we have Sarah Garcia, who

- 1:42:00Speaker 3: belated this to get right. This is a maketh this
- 1:42:03Speaker 3: is a make right. Hold on, let mean you're right,
- 1:42:05Speaker 3: You're right. Let me read this thing. Sorry. This is
- 1:42:10Speaker 3: from Sarah Garcia. This came in via email. Will. Hello,
- 1:42:13Speaker 3: I would like to request a birthday shout out for
- 1:42:15Speaker 3: my wonderful husband, Tyler Wright. His birthday is on December thirtieth,
- 1:42:20Speaker 3: and he will be thirty two this year.
- 1:42:22Speaker 2: Come on.
- 1:42:23Speaker 3: He has been a huge fan of your show since
- 1:42:25Speaker 3: twenty twenty. We live in Nebraska, so he has also
- 1:42:28Speaker 3: been a huge fan of Wills since his freshman year
- 1:42:31Speaker 3: at UNL. That's how you know they're a true siko.
- 1:42:34Speaker 3: Dude who calls it UNL tbr GBR. My husband made
- 1:42:39Speaker 3: me say all of that in parenthesis. He watches your
- 1:42:44Speaker 3: episodes religiously and very loudly. Every year for Christmas, he
- 1:42:48Speaker 3: asks for merch from your shows, specifically the dad gear.
- 1:42:52Speaker 3: And he is also the best dad to my son,
- 1:42:54Speaker 3: who is his step son. My son has even said
- 1:42:58Speaker 3: that he considers my husband his dad more than his
- 1:43:00Speaker 3: biological father. He always prioritizes our son's needs over his
- 1:43:05Speaker 3: own without hesitation. This birthday shout out is the only
- 1:43:09Speaker 3: president he asks for, and he will ship his pants.
- 1:43:12Speaker 3: If he gets it, please please please give him this gift.
- 1:43:16Speaker 3: It will make me the best wife ever and it
- 1:43:18Speaker 3: will mean that my birthday present has to be a
- 1:43:21Speaker 3: good one this year. Winkie face man, Sarah Garcia and
- 1:43:27Speaker 3: what was what was his name? Tyler Wright? Tyler, you're
- 1:43:31Speaker 3: doing good, bro, You're you're crushing you're crushing it man
- 1:43:33Speaker 3: and GBR baby GBR forever.
- 1:43:36Speaker 2: Thank you for the sport.
- 1:43:37Speaker 1: But even that that that right up right there, you
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: can tell that, uh that you're crushing it right now
- 1:43:42Speaker 1: being a stepdad, all the things that she said in
- 1:43:44Speaker 1: that note, big.
- 1:43:46Speaker 2: Shots to you.
- 1:43:47Speaker 3: Yeah, it's Sarah. We're sorry, we did not see that.
- 1:43:49Speaker 3: As we're to Sarah, We're sorry. We're it's Sarah. I
- 1:43:52Speaker 3: did quite don't want an empt sixer on our ass.
- 1:43:54Speaker 2: Hey, it just can't happen.
- 1:43:56Speaker 3: We're moving on to our Dan Gable quotes, our lesson
- 1:43:59Speaker 3: of the week. I still have two emails that we
- 1:44:00Speaker 3: didn't read that we'll have to do next episode. Yeah,
- 1:44:03Speaker 3: that's just the way she goes. Yeah, and I'm sorry, Sarah.
- 1:44:07Speaker 3: I'm sorry, Yo.
- 1:44:08Speaker 2: We are sorry.
- 1:44:09Speaker 3: That is chef's fault. Just point the finger at somebody. Sorry, Sarah,
- 1:44:17Speaker 3: well done, apologize, chef. I if I would just wasn't
- 1:44:21Speaker 3: a fucking idiot, this would aball be fixed. Go over
- 1:44:26Speaker 3: really really nicely. Yeah, Will, what was your topic lesson
- 1:44:33Speaker 3: or Dan Gable quote of the week?
- 1:44:36Speaker 2: You got a lesson?
- 1:44:37Speaker 3: I do?
- 1:44:37Speaker 2: Okay, good, It's brief. It's very brief.
- 1:44:40Speaker 1: Love it, uh, Dan Gable, this is a This is
- 1:44:44Speaker 1: a quote that I think just goes in well with
- 1:44:46Speaker 1: parenthood because we talk about the highest of highs in
- 1:44:51Speaker 1: parenthood and when you can, when you can, like uh
- 1:44:54Speaker 1: present what the gold medal of parenthoods feels like? It's
- 1:45:00Speaker 1: this quote right here from Dan Gable. It's gold medals
- 1:45:03Speaker 1: aren't really made of gold. They're made of sweat, determination
- 1:45:09Speaker 1: and a hard to find in a hard to find
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: Let me start that again.
- 1:45:13Speaker 3: Okay, take a second, we'll cut that the gold Medal
- 1:45:19Speaker 3: of parenthoid gold medals aren't really made of gold.
- 1:45:23Speaker 1: They're made of sweat, determination and a hard to find
- 1:45:27Speaker 1: alloy called guts.
- 1:45:32Speaker 4: Bro.
- 1:45:32Speaker 3: He's unreal with the quotes as Dan Gabel right there,
- 1:45:36Speaker 3: that's Dan Gable. I have one bracing this suck that
- 1:45:39Speaker 3: is that's the gold medal in a what was it
- 1:45:43Speaker 3: a hard to find alloy called what hard to find
- 1:45:45Speaker 3: alloy gold guts? That one gets your piss it does.
- 1:45:51Speaker 3: I actually want that one printed like that. That's cool.
- 1:45:55Speaker 3: I love that quote I had. I had one that
- 1:45:58Speaker 3: I thought applied very nicely to Fatherho just life in general.
- 1:46:02Speaker 3: Dan Gable is Dan Gable. Uh, freedom across the world
- 1:46:06Speaker 3: is a result of many individuals working together. That's Dan Gable.
- 1:46:12Speaker 2: That's parenthood.
- 1:46:13Speaker 3: That's parenthood working together, communicating.
- 1:46:17Speaker 2: That's what creates freedom.
- 1:46:19Speaker 3: Come on, I just love that. A wrestler slash wrestling
- 1:46:22Speaker 3: coach that was on his quotes page a freedom across
- 1:46:26Speaker 3: the world.
- 1:46:26Speaker 1: Man, imagine being Dan Gable knowing that what you do
- 1:46:31Speaker 1: that's gonna echo in eternity of wrestling is also going
- 1:46:34Speaker 1: to echo to.
- 1:46:36Speaker 3: For the Dad's podcast, Yeah, it's gonna echo into parenthood. Yeah,
- 1:46:40Speaker 3: it's gonna get the piss hot. Yeah, it's gonna get
- 1:46:42Speaker 3: the pissh It's gonna change lives. I so shout out.
- 1:46:46Speaker 3: That was our Dan Gable Quote of the Week segment
- 1:46:48Speaker 3: brought to you by Dan Gable and for the Dads.
- 1:46:53Speaker 3: Last but not least, it is very brief. We I
- 1:46:56Speaker 3: think this was even three episodes ago. For my lesson
- 1:47:00Speaker 3: the week. So this was kind of like my New
- 1:47:03Speaker 3: Year's resolution that I had for myself. But staying in
- 1:47:08Speaker 3: touch with those that you love. I have a one
- 1:47:12Speaker 3: hour round trip commute to Scarlett's daycare, sometimes longer with traffic.
- 1:47:18Speaker 3: I've decided during that time to call people that I love,
- 1:47:22Speaker 3: or people back in Texas that I just miss or
- 1:47:25Speaker 3: want to stay close to and share life with and
- 1:47:28Speaker 3: stories with. There is something so grounding about speaking with
- 1:47:33Speaker 3: those that you know and love so well, asking them
- 1:47:36Speaker 3: for advice, helping them with their struggles, asking about their
- 1:47:40Speaker 3: day and telling them about yours, or just being a
- 1:47:42Speaker 3: set of ears for them to vent and vice versa.
- 1:47:46Speaker 3: Life moves incredibly fast, and so far these calls have
- 1:47:50Speaker 3: aided in slowing things down, having a meaningful conversation with substance,
- 1:47:54Speaker 3: being able to laugh at yourself while telling a frustrating
- 1:47:57Speaker 3: story of fatherhood. It's sometimes just what the doctor ordered.
- 1:48:02Speaker 3: Have I read that before? No? I think it's just
- 1:48:05Speaker 3: been on my sheet. I was reading it, I was like,
- 1:48:09Speaker 3: have I read this on the pod book?
- 1:48:10Speaker 2: Off the press?
- 1:48:11Speaker 3: Okay, cool, it's a good one, thank you, and it's
- 1:48:14Speaker 3: been going. It's actually been going really well, these last
- 1:48:16Speaker 3: like three weeks, it's been a lot of fun.
- 1:48:18Speaker 2: It's a lesson I feel like I need to incorporate
- 1:48:20Speaker 2: in my life.
- 1:48:20Speaker 3: It's been good, dude. I've I've been catching up with
- 1:48:23Speaker 3: a lot of friends I haven't seen in person and
- 1:48:25Speaker 3: quite a while, and just it's so much fun tapping
- 1:48:28Speaker 3: in just hearing the little quips and personalities of like
- 1:48:32Speaker 3: their kids they're growing up, having a couple of laughs, yes, dude,
- 1:48:36Speaker 3: and just being able to like laugh about stuff that
- 1:48:39Speaker 3: I could call you and you would have a completely
- 1:48:42Speaker 3: different take on it than like somebody that I've known
- 1:48:45Speaker 3: since I was twelve years old. It's just like, I
- 1:48:47Speaker 3: don't know, it's fun.
- 1:48:49Speaker 1: So we're gonna have to cut that. Oh no, you're
- 1:48:56Speaker 1: talking about catching up with your bros not on this show.
- 1:49:00Speaker 3: Yeah, God forbid. I got one of their gamer tags too,
- 1:49:04Speaker 3: and like scheduled trying to introduce them into our PUBG world.
- 1:49:10Speaker 3: That would be a shame one of my high school
- 1:49:12Speaker 3: dues from back in the day. Try and get him
- 1:49:14Speaker 3: to play pubg with us. You better not play on
- 1:49:16Speaker 3: the sports book either, Oh no way. Oh and we
- 1:49:21Speaker 3: have a poll here to finish out the show. We
- 1:49:25Speaker 3: have a poll, A poll, A poll.
- 1:49:28Speaker 6: Well, last episode, we did a break and shout out
- 1:49:31Speaker 6: out some people that sent us things, and Shirm told
- 1:49:33Speaker 6: Pt six to send an emoji into the chat. It
- 1:49:36Speaker 6: was a very defsive decision which emoji, Sheram said, and
- 1:49:40Speaker 6: so I thought we'd just address it, Sam, do you
- 1:49:41Speaker 6: want to just read out what the emojis were?
- 1:49:44Speaker 1: I did see in the comments us with a bunch
- 1:49:46Speaker 1: of beach emojis, and I had no clue what was
- 1:49:48Speaker 1: going on. I was like, did I miss something in
- 1:49:50Speaker 1: the episode to where everybody just knows to drop beach
- 1:49:52Speaker 1: emojis At.
- 1:49:53Speaker 3: The at the h we did a little thank you
- 1:49:56Speaker 3: segment for all the stuff that's been sent in. At
- 1:49:58Speaker 3: the very end, I did, in fact, and actually lost
- 1:50:01Speaker 3: in the poll, which is hilarious. I said comment a
- 1:50:03Speaker 3: little peach, a peach, peach, And I started seeing all
- 1:50:08Speaker 3: these beach emojis that because I usually like checked the
- 1:50:11Speaker 3: episode like six fifteen, whatever went drops, I see all
- 1:50:15Speaker 3: these beach umbrellas, beaches, oceans, and I'm like, what's going
- 1:50:21Speaker 3: When did we talk about a beach in the episode.
- 1:50:23Speaker 3: I'm so, oh my god, oh my god. I only
- 1:50:27Speaker 3: saw two peaches. Yeah, I think only two people got
- 1:50:30Speaker 3: it right.
- 1:50:31Speaker 4: Crazy as far as that everyone in this room heard peach.
- 1:50:34Speaker 2: Yeah that was not a but uh I didn't hear anything.
- 1:50:38Speaker 3: It got translated to me, which is that's okay, that's okay.
- 1:50:43Speaker 3: But I'm glad we got that sold. I'm glad we
- 1:50:45Speaker 3: got that pole. So which one won the beach beach? So,
- 1:50:49Speaker 3: I mean I would say then that would mean that
- 1:50:52Speaker 3: you were wrong. I think you're right now that I
- 1:50:56Speaker 3: if everybody's dropping beaches and then the pole says no,
- 1:50:59Speaker 3: it was beach, not peached, that that would tell me
- 1:51:02Speaker 3: I didn't pronounce it correctly. You know. I think there's
- 1:51:05Speaker 3: only one way to go about this, to really kind
- 1:51:07Speaker 3: of settle it. If you have watched it all the
- 1:51:10Speaker 3: way to this point to the end, I.
- 1:51:12Speaker 1: Feel like everybody checks out the majority, like ninety nine percent,
- 1:51:17Speaker 1: they're gone.
- 1:51:17Speaker 3: The Phoenixes of the world. They're out here, they're out
- 1:51:19Speaker 3: of here.
- 1:51:20Speaker 2: Yeah, they've left one star reviews.
- 1:51:22Speaker 3: But if you don't think we need to go back
- 1:51:24Speaker 3: to the drawing board, come in a little beach A
- 1:51:27Speaker 3: What I said it once, I won't say it again.
- 1:51:30Speaker 2: Should it be a different emoji? What if people just
- 1:51:32Speaker 2: follow from last week.
- 1:51:33Speaker 3: So that's that's a good call comment. Let's come in
- 1:51:39Speaker 3: a bear. Let's come in a little bear face. Okay, yeah,
- 1:51:43Speaker 3: bear face, par emoji face, bear emoji face. Okay, let's
- 1:51:46Speaker 3: do that, okay. Or I wish there was a phoenix emoji.
- 1:51:50Speaker 3: That would be sick. Will's cooking up something. I'm trying
- 1:51:57Speaker 3: to into the emojis in my head. Bare face face,
- 1:52:02Speaker 3: bare face. That's perfect.
- 1:52:06Speaker 4: Great, sod great, so great. So wait, wait one second,
- 1:52:09Speaker 4: Happy anniversary, Alex. Love you so much. I hope you
- 1:52:12Speaker 4: have the best day ever. Oh for almost almost.
- 1:52:16Speaker 3: Let that one slip three, Just trying to sneak that
- 1:52:19Speaker 3: one in when everybody's tuned out. I'm waiting to see
- 1:52:23Speaker 3: she'll watch the whole episode. Okay, Joe Chef loves Alex.
- 1:52:30Speaker 2: What are you doing for the anniversary?
- 1:52:32Speaker 3: It's today?
- 1:52:33Speaker 4: I mean I'm going to be working today. I called her.
- 1:52:35Speaker 4: I sent her a little vemo for nails. Long text.
- 1:52:39Speaker 2: One old boy wrote in about how he had the
- 1:52:41Speaker 2: weekend prepped up.
- 1:52:43Speaker 3: Yeah, we've we've already discussed, we went over. It's just
- 1:52:46Speaker 3: it's an unfairn we got massages on Monday week. Well,
- 1:52:49Speaker 3: she lives in Knoxville. So that's the issue. So I said, hey,
- 1:52:54Speaker 3: go get your nails done. I sent her extra because
- 1:52:56Speaker 3: she does the build her jail and not the normal okay,
- 1:52:58Speaker 3: normal nails. Hey, he's kind of on it.
- 1:53:01Speaker 4: Made sure I was on it. Send her nice text
- 1:53:03Speaker 4: you send her flowers. I think I'm gonna try to
- 1:53:06Speaker 4: whenever we get done, I'm gonna try to get some
- 1:53:08Speaker 4: the game boys putting on flowers on Friday.
- 1:53:10Speaker 3: We Hate You Want or tour Workshop could before the
- 1:53:13Speaker 3: dads get us singing Graham for Alex. I'm singing She's.
- 1:53:23Speaker 4: She's at work right now at the Vet hospital, So
- 1:53:27Speaker 4: wouldn't that be something?
- 1:53:30Speaker 3: Get Elvis Presley go walk in there. Listen. This is
- 1:53:33Speaker 3: from Chef.
- 1:53:34Speaker 4: I'm sure I'll get a fun call. She's like, Hey,
- 1:53:35Speaker 4: you can't do that.
- 1:53:39Speaker 3: So I just want the office to know that I
- 1:53:41Speaker 3: love you and you're my number one.
- 1:53:42Speaker 4: Everyone in there needs to know.
- 1:53:43Speaker 3: You just have Elvis seeing something not romantic at all
- 1:53:48Speaker 3: at all. Scrella, Happy anniversary, Love you so much, Tier one,
- 1:53:54Speaker 3: lover Chef.
