- 0:01Speaker 1: Jerry, Katie and Josh six one.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Hundred off the air.
- 0:04Speaker 3: You've been just kind of quickly discussing all of our
- 0:06Speaker 3: food that we ate this weekend, which is what we do.
- 0:09Speaker 3: And I have become addicted to throw in whole chickens
- 0:11Speaker 3: on my trigger and letting them just you know, go
- 0:14Speaker 3: to town for about five hours.
- 0:16Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm just doing various things with them.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Well, it's good. You get the best bang for your buck.
- 0:20Speaker 1: First of all, I think so.
- 0:22Speaker 4: Full of all the crap.
- 0:23Speaker 3: You just buy a couple of organic hold chickens and
- 0:25Speaker 3: then you seizon them the way you want. And I
- 0:28Speaker 3: took a giant loaf of French bread, cut it in
- 0:30Speaker 3: half and opened it up, did my rotisserie chickens for
- 0:33Speaker 3: about five hours, pulled them off, shredded them up, and
- 0:36Speaker 3: then I slathered that French bread with some barbecue sauce,
- 0:39Speaker 3: provolone cheese, the shredded chicken, and then pepper jack cheese
- 0:44Speaker 3: on top of it and more barbecue sauce, and then
- 0:46Speaker 3: threw it back on the trigger for another twenty minutes.
- 0:49Speaker 3: Smoked sand It was a smoked sandwich. The bread got crispy,
- 0:53Speaker 3: that the cheese got smoked.
- 0:54Speaker 4: A little bit.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Oh so the bread even gets like a smoke.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Yeah it huh sounds so good. Yeah, you could even
- 1:05Speaker 1: have that for breakfast.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Yeah, breakfast so quick.
- 1:08Speaker 2: So I was watching this video over the weekend that
- 1:10Speaker 2: talked about how a lot of people are trying to
- 1:12Speaker 2: get protein in their diet, right, but some people don't
- 1:15Speaker 2: care for like the processed meats and eggs and things
- 1:18Speaker 2: that are traditional with American breakfast.
- 1:21Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:22Speaker 1: And there was this guy who had a video. He's like,
- 1:25Speaker 1: I'm eating shrimp alfredo for breakfast because there are no rules.
- 1:29Speaker 2: And I started doing a little digging, right, Apparently we've
- 1:32Speaker 2: all been duped. We've all been duped because it's essentially true.
- 1:36Speaker 2: This hardy American breakfast ye was engineered in the twenties
- 1:40Speaker 2: by Edward Burnet's and he completely fooled us. They called
- 1:45Speaker 2: him the father of public relations, and he was the
- 1:48Speaker 2: nephew of Sigmund Freud. Right, So he was hired by
- 1:51Speaker 2: the Beach Meat Packing Company to boost the sagging sales
- 1:55Speaker 2: of baconketing.
- 1:57Speaker 1: It's all marketing. He came in and he.
- 1:59Speaker 4: Consulted milk, milk, does it really do a body good?
- 2:02Speaker 2: He consulted his agency's doctor, and they agreed that a
- 2:06Speaker 2: heavier breakfast was better for people because it gave them
- 2:08Speaker 2: more energy to start the day. But then he took
- 2:11Speaker 2: this and he had the doctor right to thousands of
- 2:14Speaker 2: other physicians to see if they agree. But then he
- 2:17Speaker 2: published it, so he had over forty five hundred doctors
- 2:20Speaker 2: confirming this theory that Americans need to eat heavy breakfasts
- 2:24Speaker 2: to improve their health, and people.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Got on board with it. This was way back in
- 2:28Speaker 1: the nineteen twenties.
- 2:29Speaker 2: And now we're all convinced we need bacon, eggs, sausage,
- 2:33Speaker 2: hash browns, orange juice.
- 2:34Speaker 1: A side of fruit, and toast to start our day.
- 2:37Speaker 1: And it's just not true. It's not true.
- 2:40Speaker 2: And so the thing is here, why a lot of
- 2:43Speaker 2: people on his hair?
- 2:44Speaker 1: But it's funny just because like I.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Love breakfast food, but I always thought that there was
- 2:49Speaker 2: more to it, Like why can't we have lasagna for breakfast?
- 2:52Speaker 1: But you can. There are no rules.
- 2:54Speaker 4: You can't guess what. You're an adult.
- 2:55Speaker 1: You're an adult and you can do what you want.
- 2:57Speaker 3: You can have what lasagna and chocolate if gosh, yeah,
- 3:01Speaker 3: I'm gonna go do that and wash it down in
- 3:03Speaker 3: the mountain dew.
- 3:03Speaker 4: Hey, if you're on the dating world, you might be
- 3:07Speaker 4: familiar with some of the stuff floating around. Some of
- 3:09Speaker 4: the stories.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Gen Z singles right now are apparently going on practice
- 3:15Speaker 3: dates just to build confidence.
- 3:17Speaker 4: They're going out with people that they don't really you
- 3:20Speaker 4: have too much of an attraction to.
- 3:23Speaker 3: They're just going out and you know, practicing talking to
- 3:27Speaker 3: people and ordering and being out in the public. I
- 3:30Speaker 3: guess they're calling them practice dates to build dating confidence.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Would not just be lovely if I found out I
- 3:37Speaker 2: was the recipient of one of those they're just practicing on.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Mely, Yeah, they say off, they just want to stop
- 3:45Speaker 3: performing and act natural when they're out on the dates. Now,
- 3:49Speaker 3: that's very similar to something called goblin intimacy right now,
- 3:54Speaker 3: and they say the idea that is, instead of working
- 3:56Speaker 3: your butt off to present the very best version of
- 3:59Speaker 3: yourself when you're out there dating, just show up as
- 4:02Speaker 3: a goblin. Now, not in full costume unless.
- 4:05Speaker 1: You, I mean, unless they're into that.
- 4:09Speaker 4: I don't know, but just he was an ogre Katie.
- 4:16Speaker 4: But just show up as is. Be normal, Just be
- 4:20Speaker 4: the normal you.
- 4:22Speaker 3: You're not hiding any of your flaws, You're being upfront
- 4:24Speaker 3: about your baggage.
- 4:25Speaker 4: From the beginning.
- 4:27Speaker 3: They're saying, you're just starting things off by being real
- 4:31Speaker 3: and the other person can just take it.
- 4:33Speaker 4: Or leave it.
- 4:34Speaker 2: See, and I appreciate that, but I'm gonna tell you
- 4:37Speaker 2: right now, you're gonna scare everybody off. You can't come
- 4:39Speaker 2: out with like, you know, unkemptear, you've got your sweats on.
- 4:46Speaker 4: That's one thing in this story they say.
- 4:48Speaker 3: The big key to goblin intimacy or goblin intimacy is
- 4:53Speaker 3: not coming across as low effort. You want to be authentic,
- 4:58Speaker 3: but you still want to present and like you take
- 5:01Speaker 3: care of yourself, clean yourself up a little bit. But
- 5:04Speaker 3: it's just essentially your backstory and your life. That's what
- 5:07Speaker 3: you're just kind of laying out on the tape.
- 5:09Speaker 2: I've tried this and it doesn't necessarily work the way
- 5:11Speaker 2: you want it to. Like I've been the person who's like,
- 5:13Speaker 2: can I wear a basketball jersey to the first date?
- 5:16Speaker 1: Why not? And they know how much I love the nuggets,
- 5:18Speaker 1: you know, but it doesn't work that way.
- 5:20Speaker 4: I don't think that would work.
- 5:21Speaker 2: No, But to me that that tells you everything you
- 5:24Speaker 2: need to know, or a lot that you need to
- 5:25Speaker 2: know about me.
- 5:26Speaker 1: I really am a massive fan.
- 5:29Speaker 2: A lot of my life revolves around it, so I
- 5:32Speaker 2: would think that's easy, getting things out of the way
- 5:35Speaker 2: type stuff.
- 5:35Speaker 1: But yeah, you just gotta be careful with that one.
- 5:37Speaker 3: I would like it if I was out in the
- 5:39Speaker 3: dating scene and then the person in front of me
- 5:42Speaker 3: just was like, Hey, here's my life, this is what's
- 5:45Speaker 3: going on.
- 5:45Speaker 4: And I'm just good.
- 5:46Speaker 3: I think I don't thank you because I feel like
- 5:48Speaker 3: that's how I would be. No, but here's the thing,
- 5:51Speaker 3: is you Katie. So I've been into Jail's trauma about it.
- 5:55Speaker 3: I wear men's basketball shorts and I love Jail.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Oh no, don't love Jail. I'll stop it.
- 6:00Speaker 2: But so it does kind of make me think of
- 6:04Speaker 2: the new gen Z trend though, where they are dating
- 6:07Speaker 2: people who they view as uglier for lack of a
- 6:12Speaker 2: better term. But they're saying they're dating people that they're
- 6:15Speaker 2: not attracted to, and kind of the same thing. Yes, homely,
- 6:19Speaker 2: thank you, thank you, Yes the ugly tree and hit
- 6:23Speaker 2: every branch on the way down.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Oh does that means still yeah?
- 6:27Speaker 2: Okay, But they say they call this the six seven trend,
- 6:30Speaker 2: and that is not supposed to be. I know, I'm sorry,
- 6:33Speaker 2: but you're dating a six or a seven versus a ten.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Right, So that's where it comes from.
- 6:39Speaker 2: But here again, I just feel like, well you would think,
- 6:45Speaker 2: but they're saying that women primarily are doing this because
- 6:48Speaker 2: they think that these partners are going to treat them better.
- 6:51Speaker 2: And I've got news for you. You gotta worry about
- 6:54Speaker 2: the ugly ones too. You just do you do? You do?
- 6:58Speaker 3: That's been that's been a myth for years and years
- 7:01Speaker 3: that somebody ugly because they're just happy to be with you,
- 7:06Speaker 3: they'll try harder.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Yeah, and that is not but they all are cheating.
- 7:12Speaker 2: You can't trust anybody out there, Jeremy. But yeah, so
- 7:16Speaker 2: this is.
- 7:17Speaker 3: But it's because they say a lot of it too,
- 7:23Speaker 3: is the dating app burnout.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Everybody who's just picking their dates based on how someone
- 7:28Speaker 2: looks left right, swipe left right, blah blah blah. They're
- 7:32Speaker 2: saying that take that out of the picture, and you're
- 7:35Speaker 2: just dating somebody based on their interest level, the things
- 7:38Speaker 2: that they have listed on their profile, you're bound to
- 7:41Speaker 2: get a better match. But again, I'm just saying people
- 7:44Speaker 2: are out there doing your dirty regardless of how they look,
- 7:46Speaker 2: So just be aware, be aware.
- 7:48Speaker 3: And it's called six seven I know, I know, I
- 7:51Speaker 3: knew that you probably wouldn't like that.
- 7:53Speaker 2: There's also one more broke quick just because there's an
- 7:56Speaker 2: area on a grande term called grande en when it
- 8:00Speaker 2: comes to the dating world, and that has a lot
- 8:03Speaker 2: I think of his coffee exactly, But it has nothing
- 8:05Speaker 2: to do with the part. It has more to do
- 8:08Speaker 2: with her song thank You Next. Okay, So it is
- 8:11Speaker 2: just well, Josh, well, it's just it was her just saying,
- 8:16Speaker 2: you know, I've I dated this person and I'm like,
- 8:18Speaker 2: thank you next. Like you know, she famously dated Mac
- 8:21Speaker 2: Miller and she was nice about it in that song
- 8:23Speaker 2: because he passed away after she made that song. But
- 8:26Speaker 2: it was really it was Pete Davidson. She made that
- 8:28Speaker 2: song about right. But they say, like, with that in mind,
- 8:31Speaker 2: it is that you're not holding a whole lot of
- 8:34Speaker 2: like you're not mad at yourself or moving on because
- 8:38Speaker 2: a lot of people are giving your permission, arguing you
- 8:41Speaker 2: you're not keeping yourself in relationship that's not working just
- 8:44Speaker 2: because it's uncomfortable to end it.
- 8:46Speaker 1: You're moving on to the next one.
- 8:48Speaker 2: You're afraid of what exactly like, you're moving on and
- 8:52Speaker 2: there's no qualms about it.
- 8:54Speaker 1: So thank you.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Next is the theory as well that gen z ers
- 8:57Speaker 2: are looking at. And there's just so much to do
- 8:59Speaker 2: with dating now, there's all these so confusing.
- 9:04Speaker 3: What happened to just hooking up a church camp? I know,
- 9:07Speaker 3: you know, and then yeah, and then you're together forever?
- 9:10Speaker 3: What the church camp in it?
- 9:12Speaker 4: That's my new duty phrase, church camp. So I'll go
- 9:15Speaker 4: to church camp.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 9:18Speaker 4: My HOA is better than your h o A. My
- 9:21Speaker 4: HOA is better than your h o A.
- 9:28Speaker 1: What that's a weird. Yeah.
- 9:31Speaker 4: We went out with the entire h o A over
- 9:34Speaker 4: the weekend.
- 9:35Speaker 3: It was like Friday night, and we went and had
- 9:37Speaker 3: pasta and we did some drinking and we ended up
- 9:41Speaker 3: at a brewery with the.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Entire h o A and it was a great night.
- 9:46Speaker 4: So my ha is better than your h o A.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Yes, I thought you guys were just making some laws
- 9:53Speaker 2: and making people's lives.
- 9:55Speaker 4: Oh, we did that. Then we.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Sent out some notices on weeds and peak colors and
- 10:03Speaker 3: you know, spot cracks in your driveway.
- 10:05Speaker 4: And then we went out and tore it up.
- 10:10Speaker 3: One of the guys on the h o as he's
- 10:13Speaker 3: an older gentleman, but he was swearing by these drinks
- 10:16Speaker 3: called peach billinis.
- 10:18Speaker 1: I love a good peach below.
- 10:19Speaker 3: I have never had a peach before, and he made
- 10:22Speaker 3: everybody get a peach ballini.
- 10:24Speaker 1: They're so good.
- 10:24Speaker 3: I didn't do it.
- 10:25Speaker 4: I fought back. I was like, no, I'm I'm ordering
- 10:27Speaker 4: a peroni. I'm a grown man. I'm a grown man,
- 10:30Speaker 4: I'm not a peach.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Nick Knack got one though, and she said I drank
- 10:35Speaker 3: it a little too fast and the the night the song.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Of peach bllinis will catch up to you.
- 10:42Speaker 4: I had no idea. I had never heard of one before.
- 10:44Speaker 1: And you can get one with or without alcohol, so yeah.
- 10:47Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, definitely had alcohol.
- 10:50Speaker 3: And they had like a peach in it, like like
- 10:52Speaker 3: a peach on the side, and it looked really good.
- 10:55Speaker 4: But it came in like a Martini style glass too.
- 10:58Speaker 1: And I was like, I can't fancy. I can't.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Yes, that is one of those drinks that you know,
- 11:02Speaker 3: as a guy, You're like, I'd like one, but I'll
- 11:04Speaker 3: just make my wife order and drink something.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Realgulous coming up on peach season Tooi's for everybody, yes,
- 11:14Speaker 2: but I will say it was.
- 11:16Speaker 3: You know, it costs us a pretty penny to go
- 11:17Speaker 3: out and have some fun, and you know, the brewery
- 11:19Speaker 3: wasn't cheap either, just to grab a couple of beers.
- 11:22Speaker 3: And I came across this story this morning talking about funflation,
- 11:27Speaker 3: and I was like, that's what we hit this weekend,
- 11:29Speaker 3: was funflation. Everybody's upset that it's costing so much to
- 11:34Speaker 3: go out and just have fun. Yeah, to go get
- 11:37Speaker 3: some cocktails, to go to a concert, to go on vacation,
- 11:41Speaker 3: to go to a sporting event. It's so damn expensive anymore.
- 11:46Speaker 3: I mean, just to go to a sporting event is expensive.
- 11:48Speaker 3: And then you go downtown you got to find you know,
- 11:50Speaker 3: fifty dollars parking again.
- 11:51Speaker 1: The parking now I'm over ridiculous.
- 11:54Speaker 2: And you better pay that fifty dollars because if you
- 11:56Speaker 2: park somewhere sketch, you're gonna be worried about your car
- 11:59Speaker 2: the whole.
- 11:59Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, you know that's mudflation.
- 12:01Speaker 3: When you get Munds on the way back to your cart,
- 12:04Speaker 3: it'll cost you when you have to open up your
- 12:06Speaker 3: wallet and get cass to the muggers.
- 12:09Speaker 4: But I know, when we.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Go out to eat, it's just a little family of four.
- 12:12Speaker 3: I mean it is fully expected that you know, we'll
- 12:14Speaker 3: be dropping a Honda easy peasy at least, or you know,
- 12:17Speaker 3: one hundred and fifty.
- 12:18Speaker 4: Yeah, by the time it's all said and done.
- 12:21Speaker 3: I took my daughter to the movies this weekend. It
- 12:23Speaker 3: was just the two of us. It was fifty bucks
- 12:25Speaker 3: to go see Toy Story. After tickets, one popcorn, and
- 12:28Speaker 3: one drink that we shared and fifty bucks.
- 12:31Speaker 2: And that's like to have fun and everything in life
- 12:34Speaker 2: already before that is also expensive. I mean, just living
- 12:38Speaker 2: right now is costing us a pretty penny. So then
- 12:40Speaker 2: when you add going out and having a good time,
- 12:43Speaker 2: attaching that kind.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Of price tag to it is just it hurts your stomach,
- 12:47Speaker 1: or at least it does mine. Mike Tommy stomach hurts. Well.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Think about vacation season now too. Everyone's going leaving to
- 12:54Speaker 3: have fun.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:55Speaker 3: Funflation is hitting you at the airport, your rental car home.
- 12:59Speaker 2: I had to take out alone, really perfect because you're
- 13:03Speaker 2: going to New York.
- 13:03Speaker 3: Because I had pick the most expensive spot to go to,
- 13:06Speaker 3: No well.
- 13:07Speaker 1: And I had so many things hit me leading up
- 13:09Speaker 1: to this. My car.
- 13:11Speaker 2: I had then invest in getting a garage because I'm
- 13:14Speaker 2: having a garny to park it. I mean, so many
- 13:16Speaker 2: things hit my wallet already and then I have to
- 13:19Speaker 2: go have fun.
- 13:20Speaker 4: Yeah, then you got to buy new clothes and get
- 13:22Speaker 4: your pan on. I didn't know his job. It's this
- 13:27Speaker 4: is perfect thinking of somebody else.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Yeah, No, don't come for my nose, my vacation.
- 13:35Speaker 4: Ain't it your hair colors?
- 13:38Speaker 1: Way?
- 13:39Speaker 4: What happened this weekend.
- 13:40Speaker 2: It's the one thing I actually got off my couch
- 13:42Speaker 2: for and it was get a little too long.
- 13:44Speaker 1: I wanted it this dark.
- 13:45Speaker 2: It's gonna fade, okay, So it'll get lighter in like
- 13:47Speaker 2: a week, and by two weeks it'll.
- 13:49Speaker 4: Be almost back to Yeah, let's hope saying one.
- 13:51Speaker 1: But I do the box die. I am not ashamed
- 13:53Speaker 1: to shut up. Like no, I went.
- 13:56Speaker 2: And did the whole salon route once and my hair
- 13:59Speaker 2: felt I'm not like Josh will attest to this. You
- 14:02Speaker 2: remember when I went blonde for a minute. It comes poste,
- 14:07Speaker 2: so I've sworn all that often. It looks boxed different,
- 14:10Speaker 2: it looks awesome. It looks like my face in the
- 14:13Speaker 2: head is fine. Jeremy like coming for my area.
- 14:16Speaker 4: Aren't you impressed that?
- 14:17Speaker 3: That was like one of the first things I said
- 14:19Speaker 3: to you when you came in that I was like, hey,
- 14:20Speaker 3: your hair looks darker.
- 14:23Speaker 2: It was not nice the way it was one of
- 14:24Speaker 2: those things that you say, it's darker nice or.
- 14:28Speaker 4: Is that I'm getting used to it. I'm definitely getting
- 14:31Speaker 4: used to it.
- 14:32Speaker 3: Yeah. It washes you out, for sure, you know what, Jerry.
- 14:45Speaker 4: It looks fine.
- 14:47Speaker 3: I saw a guy this weekend who is probably in
- 14:50Speaker 3: his sixties.
- 14:52Speaker 4: It's my guess.
- 14:53Speaker 3: Okay, he's got stark white like beard, generally like salt
- 14:58Speaker 3: and pepper, you know, hair that you know, it's got
- 15:01Speaker 3: some gray in it.
- 15:02Speaker 4: And he showed up and I looked at him. I
- 15:04Speaker 4: was like, whoa, because it was like jet black.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, and you know when guys do it,
- 15:09Speaker 3: it doesn't match, like the eyebrows or the goatee or
- 15:12Speaker 3: the beard and the hair is jet black. And you're like,
- 15:15Speaker 3: did you just get out of your hair you're trying
- 15:19Speaker 3: to hold onto your eues.
- 15:21Speaker 4: Yes, absolutely, yes, I am. Hey, I did it before
- 15:25Speaker 4: we went to Colorado Company. We're on TV. Even though
- 15:27Speaker 4: my head is buzzed.
- 15:28Speaker 3: I even put a little hair color in because the
- 15:30Speaker 3: sides are gray even still, you know, so I do it.
- 15:33Speaker 3: I get it, you understand, But generally I go with
- 15:36Speaker 3: a color that you know accentuates my skin tone and
- 15:38Speaker 3: looks normal again.
- 15:40Speaker 1: I have hair,
