- 2:36Speaker 3: lot of good games, A lot of good games, lot.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Of good games.
- 2:38Speaker 4: You gotta how you gotta have a good undercard.
- 2:40Speaker 2: God, have a good undercard. Things are really exciting with the.
- 2:43Speaker 4: Main event by far.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Yeah, people are talking, People are whispering, some louder than others.
- 2:50Speaker 4: I think people were whispering last week. People are just
- 2:52Speaker 4: not right talking this week. You think they're little. Kids
- 2:54Speaker 4: are coming up to me on the street, Hey, Bud,
- 2:55Speaker 4: Bust and Bull, who you got, And I'm like, I'm
- 2:57Speaker 4: gonna be there, kid, You're gonna be in a school
- 2:58Speaker 4: frid Yeah, what's going on?
- 3:01Speaker 2: What's going on?
- 3:02Speaker 4: I feel nervous.
- 3:02Speaker 1: I've been seeing the fan base, like fan base accounts
- 3:07Speaker 1: just go back and forth all week long. Yeah, it's
- 3:09Speaker 1: getting a little gets a little nasty to Nebraska to
- 3:13Speaker 1: finally get a little nasty.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I get a little Nebraska nice six days a week.
- 3:17Speaker 3: That's a matt rualism, Like you want Nebraska to be
- 3:19Speaker 3: nice six days a week, but I need them on Saturday.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Like if I don't fear of getting a little bit
- 3:24Speaker 3: assaulted on Saturday, then Nebraska didn't do their job.
- 3:27Speaker 4: You've had this all right, we got to we gotta
- 3:28Speaker 4: hash this out for a second. So you've had this vibe.
- 3:30Speaker 4: You've had a very big brother vibe about this thing. Yeah,
- 3:33Speaker 4: and you're talking like a big brother who watched a
- 3:36Speaker 4: little brother not be nine or ten years old anymore.
- 3:39Speaker 4: But little brother's like fifteen now and you still feel
- 3:43Speaker 4: superior to him. But like you think, if he got
- 3:46Speaker 4: you in the right hold, or if he caught you
- 3:48Speaker 4: getting out of bed, like he could get you on
- 3:50Speaker 4: the ground. Am I wrong? Because that's the vibe I'm
- 3:53Speaker 4: getting on.
- 3:53Speaker 2: No.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Yeah, while you're telling you that, I remember my so
- 3:56Speaker 3: I have a younger brother's three years younger than me,
- 3:58Speaker 3: and I remember we would get into it and my
- 4:00Speaker 3: dad would a hey, man, someday he's going to be
- 4:01Speaker 3: bigger than you, and he's gonna be able to take
- 4:03Speaker 3: you out.
- 4:04Speaker 2: I'm thirty four, now I'm six. Seventy's six too.
- 4:06Speaker 3: I'll say, dude, listen when it comes to this game, Like,
- 4:12Speaker 3: I'm excited for Nebraska's opportunity to go against a blue
- 4:15Speaker 3: blood program. I'm excited for Matt Rule year three. I'm
- 4:18Speaker 3: excited for Dylan Royola. I'm excited for them to see
- 4:21Speaker 3: a real competition. And like it's tough to position. You
- 4:24Speaker 3: just put Nebraska in as like potentially being like, yeah,
- 4:27Speaker 3: Michigan State's younger brother and maybe even Nebraska's younger brother
- 4:30Speaker 3: at this point. But I'm excited for Saturday. I'm excited
- 4:32Speaker 3: for the Cornhusker fans because they have more hope and
- 4:35Speaker 3: optimism than they've ever had since I mean fifty one
- 4:39Speaker 3: was out there taking out heads.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Optimism is pretty high. Every year. Optimism, yep, oft is
- 4:44Speaker 2: pretty hire.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll say this, Optimism has been very high every year,
- 4:49Speaker 3: and then all of a sudden, this week it's like
- 4:51Speaker 3: until insert game, and then the year the game starts
- 4:55Speaker 3: to take place, and it's like, hey, will remember three
- 4:58Speaker 3: and nine best three in nineteen, Hey, well, remember we're
- 5:01Speaker 3: gonna be good, remember, and it's like, yepit.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Now we've heard nothing.
- 5:06Speaker 4: Don't you think in Week one, the fact that the
- 5:08Speaker 4: Sinci game was a one possession game and you got
- 5:11Speaker 4: the one possession game monkey off the back. Do you
- 5:14Speaker 4: think that does anything to alleviate your petrification if you're
- 5:18Speaker 4: in the fourth quarter and it's a dogfight, or are
- 5:21Speaker 4: you just over the cliff at this point there is
- 5:24Speaker 4: no fear even though you don't control anything because you're
- 5:26Speaker 4: just going to be standing on the sidelines. How do
- 5:28Speaker 4: you feel if it's seventeen, all five minutes to go Saturday.
- 5:31Speaker 2: I think that's the spot.
- 5:32Speaker 1: That's a spot you want to see Nebraskan Like, yeah,
- 5:34Speaker 1: they win the game one possession against Cincinnati, Like when Hertzog,
- 5:40Speaker 1: Hertzog gets the defensive holding call, keeps his composure, ends
- 5:43Speaker 1: up icing the game at the end, Like that is
- 5:45Speaker 1: awesome because we usually find a way to lose those games.
- 5:48Speaker 1: I think there's always that little bit of that little
- 5:51Speaker 1: that dude on the outside tapping on the window, that
- 5:53Speaker 1: little bit of nerves that is like, hey, you guys
- 5:56Speaker 1: haven't won a big game. Look we'll get into all this.
- 5:59Speaker 1: We'll get in all this is this the main event.
- 6:01Speaker 1: This is the main event of the show. It's the
- 6:03Speaker 1: main event of the show. Let's get to tech. We
- 6:05Speaker 1: got Texas Tech, we got a lot of like you
- 6:07Speaker 1: said it, we got a great undercard. We've got some
- 6:09Speaker 1: great games on the board. We'll get into it when
- 6:12Speaker 1: the bust and bull comes.
- 6:13Speaker 3: I do like Texas Tech Utah because this is when
- 6:16Speaker 3: we were talking about the futures. Obviously were Kansas State
- 6:18Speaker 3: who you know, talks the state goes zero yet again
- 6:22Speaker 3: against Mississippi State where Mississippi lose that game. But in
- 6:25Speaker 3: the futures conversation, like, you're the one that brought up
- 6:28Speaker 3: Texas Tech. You're the one that brought up Utah. Being
- 6:30Speaker 3: like that coach has been there forever. They usually have
- 6:32Speaker 3: ten win seasons, they have one bat year. All of
- 6:33Speaker 3: a sudden, people forgetting about them. So I love to
- 6:36Speaker 3: see where you stand in this whole thing.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Do you got greeneine in that juice?
- 6:42Speaker 4: No, this is a company that doesn't sponsor the show,
- 6:45Speaker 4: so we won't give them a free shout out. But
- 6:46Speaker 4: it's pure caffeine and water. It's really healthy though, organic caffeine.
- 6:51Speaker 4: Let me turn this all right, first, derive from Green
- 6:54Speaker 4: Tea if you're wondering, even though I'm what one game
- 6:57Speaker 4: above five hundred or five hundred or in my record
- 7:01Speaker 4: against the number not so great, but I don't think
- 7:04Speaker 4: that's what's important. What you said is important, and that
- 7:07Speaker 4: is I nailed all this stuff in the preseason. Thank
- 7:09Speaker 4: you for that. You're so yes, Texas Tech, brand new
- 7:12Speaker 4: team except the quarterback position. Utah not only did people
- 7:16Speaker 4: write them off, they disrespected them a little bit in
- 7:19Speaker 4: writing them off. And this is the only head coach
- 7:21Speaker 4: in the Big twelve that drives a motorcycle to work
- 7:23Speaker 4: in Kyle Whittingham, So that's worth something. And then the
- 7:26Speaker 4: other thing is they, like Oklahoma, who's been getting all
- 7:30Speaker 4: this praise, went and got a quarterback in an offensive
- 7:33Speaker 4: coordinator and they packaged them and brought them in and
- 7:36Speaker 4: it's working for Oklahoma and it's working for Utah.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Now.
- 7:38Speaker 4: My one concern is after Week one, some people, maybe
- 7:42Speaker 4: even including me, ran their mouths a little bit because
- 7:44Speaker 4: Utah just ran it up on UCLA. Unbeknownst to us,
- 7:48Speaker 4: UCLA was dead in the water, kind of like Florida
- 7:51Speaker 4: State last year, so it didn't mean as much in retrospect.
- 7:54Speaker 4: But that doesn't mean they're not a good team, just
- 7:55Speaker 4: means I got to pull the hot air balloon down
- 7:57Speaker 4: just a little bit, all right, Texas Tech, Like I
- 7:59Speaker 4: told you guys a couple of weeks ago, they have
- 8:02Speaker 4: multiple starting defensive linemen from last year that are not hurt.
- 8:05Speaker 4: They did not transfer, they're just not starting anymore because
- 8:08Speaker 4: they brought in better players. They get to go on
- 8:10Speaker 4: the road. I think it's the best o line they'll
- 8:13Speaker 4: face all year in Utah. I think this is the
- 8:15Speaker 4: best defensive line Utah will face all year. Line of
- 8:19Speaker 4: scrimmage battle is what we'll decide it. But I really
- 8:21Speaker 4: hope even if people out there don't know these rosters,
- 8:23Speaker 4: and I can't blame you. If you don't know them,
- 8:26Speaker 4: you probably have a life to live. This is Texas
- 8:28Speaker 4: Tech Utah. At least you need to know those quarterbacks.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Because those quarterback Devin Dempier for Utah is I think
- 8:35Speaker 4: seven touchdown zero picks guy. Also their leading rusher and
- 8:39Speaker 4: Baron Morton's been really good as well, So these are
- 8:41Speaker 4: two really good quarterbacks. I'm going to lean Texas Tech.
- 8:44Speaker 4: I think it's the biggest game we know, the least
- 8:46Speaker 4: about out of all the matchups this weekend. However, we
- 8:51Speaker 4: may get treated to it a second time during conference
- 8:53Speaker 4: championship weekend.
- 8:55Speaker 3: I like Texas Tech as well, and I think when
- 8:57Speaker 3: it goes I look at it like the transfer portal,
- 8:59Speaker 3: how the number one transfer portal class. I was nervous
- 9:02Speaker 3: in the beginning of the year when you look at
- 9:03Speaker 3: a team like Florida State and you're like, well, they
- 9:05Speaker 3: had so many chances for guys coming, how are you
- 9:06Speaker 3: going to get to jail?
- 9:07Speaker 2: How you to come together? And I think we've been proven,
- 9:09Speaker 2: like when you bring good.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Players in in the college football landscape, like they're gonna
- 9:13Speaker 3: gel relatively quickly and keep it moving forward. And that's
- 9:16Speaker 3: a big reason why I like Texas Teck in this one,
- 9:18Speaker 3: I love Utah. I love the motorcycle thing. By the
- 9:20Speaker 3: end of the day, text attack give me Utah. I
- 9:23Speaker 3: like Dan is it Dan Pierre Dan Pierre Davon.
- 9:25Speaker 4: Yeah, he didn't want Den. He wants Devon.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Dan Pierre.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Devon Dampierre running mobile quarterback and he is the leading
- 9:31Speaker 1: rusher for the team every game.
- 9:33Speaker 2: He's at the top of the rushing stats list.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Along obviously he throws the ball really well too, offensive
- 9:38Speaker 1: line driving a motorcycle to work.
- 9:39Speaker 2: For those three reasons, I'm going Utah.
- 9:42Speaker 1: I think a mobile quarterback is always dangerous in any
- 9:45Speaker 1: in any college football game. And so far, like they've done,
- 9:49Speaker 1: they whooped Ucla, they've handled business. The second two weeks
- 9:53Speaker 1: you were talking about Utah before the seas started again.
- 9:55Speaker 2: You were you were dead on the site.
- 9:58Speaker 1: With your all of your preseason picks, all your preseason rankings,
- 10:03Speaker 1: your quarterback rankings.
- 10:04Speaker 4: Everything was right, everything except the ones that got screwed.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Except the ones that got screwed up. That's not your fault.
- 10:09Speaker 4: That's the that's players and coaches.
- 10:10Speaker 2: That's the fault.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Yeah, but uh Dan Pierre behind an offensive line, him
- 10:14Speaker 1: running the ball. I like U taw this game, and
- 10:16Speaker 1: it's at Utah, tough place to play.
- 10:18Speaker 4: Time, a local still serving breakfast when they kick this
- 10:23Speaker 4: game off. Now, my question for the three of us
- 10:26Speaker 4: and anybody else out there, nobody thinks any team in
- 10:29Speaker 4: the Big twelve can win the national title, right, you're
- 10:32Speaker 4: just thinking about They're just it's good, hard nosed football.
- 10:35Speaker 4: It's entertaining to watch, but no one thinks about it.
- 10:37Speaker 4: The products getting better.
- 10:38Speaker 1: It's like it's like, hey, instead of watching just like
- 10:40Speaker 1: Big ten at SEC and then maybe a couple of
- 10:43Speaker 1: acc sques, you basically never really watched the Big Twelve
- 10:46Speaker 1: this year.
- 10:46Speaker 2: I feel like it's kind of hey, let me throw
- 10:48Speaker 2: on a Big twelve and I sail. They're always on
- 10:49Speaker 2: at weird times.
- 10:50Speaker 4: Sure, yeah, no different this week. My question, which is
- 10:53Speaker 4: going to be unanswered today because we got to let
- 10:55Speaker 4: the game happen, is this the kind of game that
- 10:58Speaker 4: we see some kind of performance in to where when
- 11:00Speaker 4: you get done with it, you're saying more than just
- 11:02Speaker 4: that team can win the Big Twelve. Like if someone
- 11:04Speaker 4: so dominant, so emphatic, is Texas tech roster able to
- 11:08Speaker 4: flex so hard, is Utah z o lying able to
- 11:10Speaker 4: pay the way so thoroughly that you say, you know,
- 11:13Speaker 4: that's better than just a Big twelve team like that?
- 11:15Speaker 4: That could be a playoff team. That's my unanswered robull
- 11:18Speaker 4: question about this game. Someone's gonna win, of course, does
- 11:21Speaker 4: someone win in a fashion that makes you say I
- 11:24Speaker 4: actually need to pay attention to them in the playoff picture?
- 11:28Speaker 2: My answer there leans no.
- 11:30Speaker 4: I lean know as well.
- 11:31Speaker 2: My answer there leans no.
- 11:33Speaker 3: It's like one of these teams or both rink the
- 11:35Speaker 3: top fifteen go in and have a dominant performance against
- 11:38Speaker 3: the other.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Yep, you're not thinking yourself, this is a playoff team.
- 11:41Speaker 1: No, No, I thought you were talking about the national
- 11:43Speaker 1: champions national championship.
- 11:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:45Speaker 3: When I say playoff picture, I mean like a checkuple unfortunately,
- 11:47Speaker 3: and I feel bad for the Big twelve saying that
- 11:49Speaker 3: that checks out.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Because it's like you look at Arizona State last year
- 11:53Speaker 1: when they were kind of making their push and they
- 11:54Speaker 1: were kind of like America was kind of root and
- 11:56Speaker 1: for him there at the end, like you can't sit
- 11:59Speaker 1: there and overlook Levitt Camps Kataboo, like they had guys.
- 12:03Speaker 1: It's like, oh, these are guys like in college football.
- 12:07Speaker 1: I don't know if like you Tall or Texas Tech,
- 12:10Speaker 1: like they've shown themselves yet. I think if they're gonna
- 12:13Speaker 1: do it, it's gonna be at the end of the
- 12:14Speaker 1: year if somebody has like whether it's an undefeated record,
- 12:16Speaker 1: a tough one loss, and guys are like jumping out
- 12:19Speaker 1: of the screen to where you're starting to watch them
- 12:21Speaker 1: the same way you did. Like Levitt was like a
- 12:23Speaker 1: recruited transferred that you probably talked about and you were
- 12:26Speaker 1: on a little bit, but he really came alive toward
- 12:28Speaker 1: the end of the season when they were starting to
- 12:30Speaker 1: get that national notoriety. Camp Skataboo like we you know,
- 12:32Speaker 1: spring football game, we knew about it.
- 12:34Speaker 2: We skid about him before anybody else. We playing all
- 12:36Speaker 2: four quarters in the springs developed him. Yeah, I developed dude,
- 12:40Speaker 2: and we.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Played that when we put did the spring the spring
- 12:42Speaker 3: game at ASU, Like I know multiple coaches, they're the
- 12:45Speaker 3: head coach. When I went to high school with the
- 12:46Speaker 3: special teams coaches, my head coach in high school. They
- 12:49Speaker 3: basically said that, hey, we gave you the best team,
- 12:51Speaker 3: like you're gonna you'll win this game, like it'll be awesome.
- 12:54Speaker 3: This Skataboo kid who just transferred like Sack Valley or
- 12:57Speaker 3: wherever it came from. He looks at the third quarter goes, hey,
- 13:01Speaker 3: I'm just gonna keep running.
- 13:02Speaker 2: You have to this game.
- 13:05Speaker 4: In the spring.
- 13:07Speaker 1: My staff was even saying to hey, we're gonna have
- 13:09Speaker 1: to stop giving Scattaboo Carris, and I was like, no,
- 13:12Speaker 1: he's got to run the football like we only moved
- 13:14Speaker 1: the ball.
- 13:15Speaker 2: He yeah. I even go one on one to end.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Like hey, listen, I know this is a spring game,
- 13:19Speaker 1: Like there's gonna be a lot of women out there
- 13:20Speaker 1: after the game, like I need you to run the
- 13:22Speaker 1: football for this team.
- 13:23Speaker 2: We have to win this. And it really was just
- 13:25Speaker 2: I was sitting there like, who the fuck is this
- 13:29Speaker 2: on the side, Like can we do something about that?
- 13:31Speaker 2: Like we actually just learned about sane lower bodies. Yeah,
- 13:34Speaker 2: we were literally in the ground floor the ground floor ball.
- 13:37Speaker 4: That's beautiful. Man thirty two carries in the spring game. Yeah,
- 13:40Speaker 4: that's what you gotta do.
- 13:41Speaker 2: You shaved off years. There's so much tricked off the tires.
- 13:47Speaker 3: This episode is also brought to you by Form Energy.

- 14:15Speaker 3: early mornings, long days. Form Energy helps you get it done.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Form Energy we do the work well.
- 14:20Speaker 1: One game that is one game that I am excited
- 14:22Speaker 1: about is an Auburn at Oklahoma right now? Oklahoma's favored
- 14:26Speaker 1: six and a half. The over under on this game
- 14:28Speaker 1: is forty eight and a half.
- 14:29Speaker 3: Ye, this a going back, coming back to your old
- 14:35Speaker 3: town seeing the ex girlfriend like Jackson Arnold could do it.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Don't you think? No? Same?
- 14:42Speaker 4: Wow?
- 14:42Speaker 2: I think this has got Oklahoma.
- 14:44Speaker 3: This has got Oklahoma big in a big way. I mean,
- 14:48Speaker 3: Jackson all those were two and fifty one yards against
- 14:50Speaker 3: ball State. Other than that, it's been mostly legs by
- 14:52Speaker 3: the guy. We're still having the confidence conversation about him,
- 14:55Speaker 3: Berenvana balls he did to my boys. But that defense,
- 14:59Speaker 3: the way they're able to disguise and distract a quarterback
- 15:01Speaker 3: who might be not as confident as he should be
- 15:04Speaker 3: second guess himself.
- 15:04Speaker 2: A little bit confident.
- 15:05Speaker 3: They're going to put him in passing situations. John Mattier,
- 15:09Speaker 3: John Mattier.
- 15:10Speaker 4: Number one quarterback in the SEC right now.
- 15:12Speaker 3: As advertised Dian Burks. And the defense is only held.
- 15:17Speaker 3: I think they've only given up one touchdown this year.
- 15:19Speaker 3: Who is that to Michigan?
- 15:22Speaker 2: That's right? So I mean I think Oklahoma's legit.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Yeah, and at least having the experience too to talk
- 15:29Speaker 1: about the threat of like a Bryce Underwood coming in too.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Hey, we can't let him ruin the game with his legs.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Like Jackson Rrel he's got his legs with this this
- 15:37Speaker 1: game going back to Oklahoma as all this boys thought
- 15:39Speaker 1: about probably since last Monday. Yeah, and him going into Oklahoma,
- 15:44Speaker 1: but he's going to be in July.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Yeah, gets I have.
- 15:48Speaker 1: I'm talking about that feeling to where coaches you're going
- 15:50Speaker 1: over the game plan and you're not really hearing what's
- 15:53Speaker 1: being said because you're just in your mind thinking about
- 15:55Speaker 1: we get through. You know, we get through this week,
- 15:57Speaker 1: like next week's Oklahoma and the Oklahoma game's coming up,
- 16:00Speaker 1: going back home, going back around my former teammates.
- 16:03Speaker 2: You know that defense is probably licking their chops to
- 16:05Speaker 2: play them.
- 16:06Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a great spot for Jackson Ronald. There's a
- 16:08Speaker 4: fly on my shoe and I want to swing so hard.
- 16:10Speaker 4: I want to swing so hard, But I'm focused. I'm focused.
- 16:14Speaker 4: I'm Jackson Ronald right now. I don't love the spot
- 16:17Speaker 4: for Jackson Artle. In fact, I hate the spot for
- 16:19Speaker 4: Jackson Arutle. So you mentioned that they hadn't really been
- 16:21Speaker 4: able to throw the ball. If you look at his
- 16:23Speaker 4: spray chart. There is no green dot in the middle
- 16:26Speaker 4: of the field. Deep third there is no green dot,
- 16:29Speaker 4: not even just a token third and twenty three. Heave
- 16:33Speaker 4: it up against like roast beef Tech, there's nothing. So
- 16:37Speaker 4: if I just got a bunch of hitches and I
- 16:39Speaker 4: got a bunch of ten yard underneath stuff to the sidelines,
- 16:43Speaker 4: and I got to face Brent Venables on the road,
- 16:45Speaker 4: who always takes something away, I don't really think you're
- 16:48Speaker 4: going to run it down OU's throat. I don't think
- 16:50Speaker 4: quarterback run is going to be what decides it for Auburn.
- 16:54Speaker 4: You got to be able to throw the ball. Now,
- 16:55Speaker 4: that sounds like the Michigan game, So it sounds like
- 16:58Speaker 4: I'm profiling the Ou Michigan game. There's one big difference,
- 17:01Speaker 4: and that is Auburn's probably got four receivers better than
- 17:04Speaker 4: the best that Michigan has this particular year. They got
- 17:07Speaker 4: guys where if all else fails, you could reasonably throw
- 17:10Speaker 4: it up and expect them to just win a fight.
- 17:12Speaker 4: I don't really think there's gonna be much that aesthetically
- 17:15Speaker 4: is pleasing about Auburn's offensive plan here. They're gonna run it.
- 17:19Speaker 4: It's gonna be very limited and then their best hoping
- 17:21Speaker 4: to pass the game probably still letting anything over the
- 17:23Speaker 4: middle is probably just throwing it up. And Cam Coleman's
- 17:26Speaker 4: just an alien. We should be should be in another planet,
- 17:29Speaker 4: but he happens to be playing for Auburn. He just
- 17:32Speaker 4: went up and turned a fifty to fifty ball into
- 17:33Speaker 4: an eighty twenty ball. Wow, we're in the red zone now.
- 17:37Speaker 4: But if that's your plan, that's a really tough tight
- 17:40Speaker 4: rope to.
- 17:40Speaker 2: It's not a good plan.
- 17:41Speaker 4: Yeah. And conversely, like I Matier moved the ball fairly
- 17:47Speaker 4: well against Michigan, Michigan's good defense, I don't think Auburn
- 17:51Speaker 4: is Like, I don't think Auburn is to the level
- 17:53Speaker 4: they are. I think there are plays to be made
- 17:54Speaker 4: against the secondary. You mentioned Burks, but it's not a
- 17:57Speaker 4: one man show, like there are guys beneath him and
- 18:00Speaker 4: behind him that make him able to be featured because
- 18:02Speaker 4: you can't just focus in on him one on one.
- 18:05Speaker 4: I just I think it profiles so well for Oklahoma.
- 18:08Speaker 4: I think the fact that Auburn did get past Baylor
- 18:11Speaker 4: in Week one has kept this line under a touchdown
- 18:15Speaker 4: right now. But I think Oklahoma wins by ten or
- 18:18Speaker 4: more like I think I think they win by double digits.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Yeah, this is and not to mention too, MATERI can
- 18:22Speaker 2: run the football as well, Yes, and which is which
- 18:24Speaker 2: is always? And he is poised in great on a
- 18:27Speaker 2: mic when the camera's on.
- 18:28Speaker 3: His face, he's he's got it. He's got every girl
- 18:31Speaker 3: in Oklahoma scoring.
- 18:33Speaker 4: It's got me.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Got up. And hey, at least you've got to be
- 18:40Speaker 2: feeling good about that. Your sec rankings are.
- 18:44Speaker 4: No one has screwed up my heisman pick yet that
- 18:47Speaker 4: feels good?
- 18:48Speaker 2: Yeah? Mine standing the dirt.
- 18:49Speaker 3: And one last thing about Jackson, Dexter and Arnold, like
- 18:52Speaker 3: if you're going to allow him to fill those like
- 18:54Speaker 3: small little five yard routes like venables will live in
- 18:56Speaker 3: that all day because he knows once he gets you
- 18:57Speaker 3: the red zone, no one does it better than him
- 18:59Speaker 3: in the red zone. And you're gonna get three and
- 19:01Speaker 3: a lot more times than not. Okhoma's getting six.
- 19:03Speaker 4: That's why I actually think explosive passing touchdowns. Did I
- 19:09Speaker 4: think there's a remnant there?
- 19:12Speaker 2: Oh?
- 19:12Speaker 4: Something got killed.
- 19:13Speaker 2: He might be laying on the floor.
- 19:14Speaker 4: Look for blood.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Yeah, let him die. If he dies, he dies.
- 19:19Speaker 4: What was I talking about?
- 19:20Speaker 2: Sorry? Red zone.
- 19:23Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't really even care if you let him
- 19:25Speaker 4: complete a couple of explosives through the air. If they
- 19:28Speaker 4: score on the explosives through the air, that's really Auburn's shot.
- 19:31Speaker 4: There's a huge difference in oh fifty two yard pass
- 19:34Speaker 4: play pushed him out of bounds at the nine versus
- 19:36Speaker 4: he scored, because that is I mean, I really would
- 19:39Speaker 4: be more worried about Auburn's offense with them outside the
- 19:43Speaker 4: red zone, but in plus territory, than I would with
- 19:46Speaker 4: him in the red zone. Which is a really weird
- 19:48Speaker 4: sentence to say, But this is the kind of game
- 19:50Speaker 4: that sets up down You.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Rather have them on the fifty than the twenty five.
- 19:53Speaker 4: If i'm but if I'm ou defense, I'm actually more
- 19:56Speaker 4: comfortable when they're on the sixteen than when they're on
- 19:58Speaker 4: the thirty. When they're on the thirty, I got to
- 20:00Speaker 4: defend the whole field, and their only shot of scoring really,
- 20:03Speaker 4: to me in my mind, is heaving it. Well, no
- 20:05Speaker 4: one's really heaving it on the sixteen.
- 20:06Speaker 2: What about the forty two yard line?
- 20:09Speaker 4: I love it. I would prefer the thirty nine. I
- 20:11Speaker 4: love the forty two, though.
- 20:12Speaker 1: I prefer the sixteen versus the thirty. Well, let's talk
- 20:15Speaker 1: about the forty two, because I don't feel like we've
- 20:16Speaker 1: talked a whole lot.
- 20:17Speaker 2: That's a fringe of two yard line.
- 20:18Speaker 4: That's a fringe rage.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Yeah, you gotta have that. So we're all going Oklahoma.
- 20:21Speaker 3: We are, We're all going Oklahoma. We don't believe in
- 20:24Speaker 3: Hugh Freeze.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Look at that. Unfortunately it was it was on my paper.
- 20:28Speaker 2: Really look at him. Hopefully a Husker sprice Underwood.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Jeez, Illinois, Indiana, you go to Indiana. I'll tell you
- 20:42Speaker 1: what I love in this game, and it's the over
- 20:45Speaker 1: over fifty and a half.
- 20:46Speaker 4: Did you how did your totals go last week?
- 20:49Speaker 2: I can't remember.
- 20:50Speaker 3: It looks like not great based on one Yeah, I
- 20:52Speaker 3: was gonna say those could have been.
- 20:54Speaker 2: But maybe even my one in four the one win
- 20:57Speaker 2: was the over. Yeah, do we know that? I should
- 21:01Speaker 2: know that. I'd just say, you know, I'll say I
- 21:04Speaker 2: like Illinois, like Bby Lama.
- 21:05Speaker 3: I think if you look at just who they've played Indiana,
- 21:08Speaker 3: it's like Kennesaw State, Indiana State olden Menton and it's
- 21:12Speaker 3: like there's there you can put a billion points on them.
- 21:14Speaker 3: Like teams look a lot better right now because they've
- 21:17Speaker 3: played nobody. Their numbers are better because they've played nobody,
- 21:21Speaker 3: and there's very few teams that have been, you know,
- 21:24Speaker 3: in real competition. And I guess like the real competition
- 21:27Speaker 3: Illinois has is Duke. They pay eight million dollars for
- 21:30Speaker 3: a quarterback and they held them in nineteen points. So
- 21:32Speaker 3: if I'm looking at that Indiana has, that was a
- 21:34Speaker 3: Tyler Morris, that wide receiver, and I think they kept
- 21:37Speaker 3: the production up like they lost them. They kept the
- 21:39Speaker 3: production up because of who they're playing. But you get
- 21:42Speaker 3: to Illinois, I think the defense is going to take
- 21:43Speaker 3: care of business. And I like them going on the
- 21:46Speaker 3: road and covering was it five and a half? I
- 21:48Speaker 3: have a card right here on y I'm asking Bloomington, Bloomington, Indiana.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Tough place to have.
- 21:52Speaker 3: The first Big ten game I ever started was in Bloomington, Indiana.
- 21:56Speaker 2: And I'll say this.
- 21:56Speaker 3: The stands are very close to student section is right
- 21:58Speaker 3: behind the visiting benches. I look behind, what do I
- 22:02Speaker 3: see a lady with some major league yabos? Very distracting.
- 22:06Speaker 3: We still ended up winning that game.
- 22:08Speaker 4: That's good. Better team now, too.
- 22:09Speaker 3: Better team now, yes, Michigan will we probably actually at
- 22:12Speaker 3: the same Back then, we were terrible.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Bloomington, Indiana, tough place to play.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Indiana didn't play a whole lot before they faced the
- 22:19Speaker 1: Huskers last year at the deed of my Huskers, they
- 22:21Speaker 1: whooped us on a sunny Bloomington, Indiana day. I feel
- 22:25Speaker 1: like they're gonna I feel like both teams are gonna
- 22:27Speaker 1: score here because I like, what's what's Olduddy's name?
- 22:29Speaker 2: Altenheimer? Altmeyer?
- 22:32Speaker 1: His name should be yeah, alt Neimer, Like I like
- 22:34Speaker 1: that boy, Altneimer. He's a good football player. Last year,
- 22:37Speaker 1: and it's just it's something I love Beilma. I think
- 22:39Speaker 1: the culture like run game, you got Altenheimer, you got
- 22:42Speaker 1: some defense.
- 22:44Speaker 2: Big Ten winning coach.
- 22:45Speaker 1: He haunts my dreams all the time because of what
- 22:48Speaker 1: they did to us when he was at Wisconsin and
- 22:49Speaker 1: we played him in the Big Ten championship. But there's
- 22:51Speaker 1: something about Signetti that I just feel uneasy, Like if
- 22:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna be confident in going against this man, if
- 22:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna go anyway, it's I'm gonna pick a total
- 22:59Speaker 1: on this game and it's gonna be over because I
- 23:00Speaker 1: think there's gonna be a lot of points scored.
- 23:03Speaker 2: So the first time I hated it more than the
- 23:04Speaker 2: second time.
- 23:06Speaker 4: You love Lucas Altenheimer moving the ball up and down
- 23:09Speaker 4: the field. You love points in this game. I love points.
- 23:13Speaker 4: You love Fernando Mendoza transferring in from I think it
- 23:16Speaker 4: was cal and then where he was last year. First off,
- 23:19Speaker 4: you kind of taught me into the over. But I
- 23:21Speaker 4: am going to take a side. But in my free time,
- 23:23Speaker 4: in my social life, I may bet some on the over.
- 23:26Speaker 4: I'm with you. I think Illinois is going to cover here.
- 23:28Speaker 4: I actually picked him to win, but that's not what
- 23:30Speaker 4: we're doing here. We're just learned Florida with you.
- 23:34Speaker 2: I would I would definitely say that Illini this.
- 23:36Speaker 4: Game because of Woltenheimer.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Yeah, if this is a pick them, I like Illinois.
- 23:40Speaker 1: But when we got we get the points, and then
- 23:42Speaker 1: Signetti's sitting over the five and a half points different.
- 23:45Speaker 4: So if we're just picking them, give me the five
- 23:49Speaker 4: and a half point dog out right. However, if we're
- 23:52Speaker 4: going spreads Illinois because it's a tough place to play,
- 23:59Speaker 4: it's tough came to pick pick it's buzzbo man, he
- 24:05Speaker 4: just killed a fly.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Give me over.
- 24:15Speaker 4: This is a prime tongue game. It's a prime tongue game.
- 24:20Speaker 4: I'm gonna be honest. The dog got right, not a favorite.
- 24:24Speaker 4: I love it. That's that's a man who needs to
- 24:30Speaker 4: be betting totals total.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Oh good times, boys, man, We're really just you can
- 24:41Speaker 1: feel it, and you can feel it in this room
- 24:42Speaker 1: right now.
- 24:43Speaker 2: We're up a stepisode to bring you booster with the Boys.
- 24:45Speaker 3: If we don't already know, the Boys of a fifty
- 24:46Speaker 3: profit boost tooken available every college football Saturday. That's a
- 24:50Speaker 3: fifty percent boost on any college football Saturday bet. Just
- 24:53Speaker 3: to open up the FanDuel sportsbook gap this Saturday and
- 24:56Speaker 3: look out for the boosting with the Boys.
- 24:58Speaker 2: PBT Florida Miami. That's right now, Florida Miami.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Miami minus seven and a half is the same spread
- 25:06Speaker 3: that Florida had against l s U. Will we say
- 25:09Speaker 3: the LSU game, So let's use you take care of business.
- 25:12Speaker 3: Miami has a better offense than l s U does Florida.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Billy Napier like five interceptions.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Let's be clear Florida should have won that cover last week.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Let's be clear they didn't.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Yeah, but also let's be clear, let's be clear, five
- 25:32Speaker 1: picks and you lose Mina had a day, should be
- 25:34Speaker 1: my uncle.
- 25:34Speaker 3: However, Florida a good point ship. They had five interceptions.
- 25:39Speaker 3: So if you're billion Napier, what do you do? Like, hey,
- 25:41Speaker 3: we want to run the ball now, Well, that's only
- 25:43Speaker 3: gonna get.
- 25:43Speaker 2: You so far.
- 25:44Speaker 3: We want to keep the ball out DJ likewise hand, Well,
- 25:46Speaker 3: he's got through five interceptions. I'm sure it's confidence as
- 25:49Speaker 3: is at all time high right now? So all then
- 25:53Speaker 3: Miami is covering.
- 25:56Speaker 2: That's it.
- 25:56Speaker 4: I got a question.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Go ahead.
- 25:58Speaker 4: So if you throw five picks the week before, like
- 26:00Speaker 4: you said, ideally, you'd like to have a run game
- 26:02Speaker 4: to lean on. Right. However, most times if you throw
- 26:05Speaker 4: the ball fifty times in a game, it's cause you
- 26:07Speaker 4: don't have a run game, right, You're forced to throw
- 26:09Speaker 4: the ball. What if I told you that Florida's leading
- 26:12Speaker 4: tailback is averaging six point five yards per carry and
- 26:15Speaker 4: they're still throwing it fifty seven point five percent of
- 26:19Speaker 4: the time so far this year, you would think to yourself,
- 26:22Speaker 4: that makes no sense. And you're right, you make a
- 26:23Speaker 4: good point. That makes no sense, thank you. So now
- 26:28Speaker 4: the time to run the ball. Unfortunately it's Miami, right,
- 26:31Speaker 4: You're not really going to run the ball all that
- 26:33Speaker 4: successfully on Miami. So your one shot is I believe
- 26:36Speaker 4: in their secondary I believe it's been retooled. But relatively speaking,
- 26:40Speaker 4: you are far more likely to do business through the
- 26:43Speaker 4: air against Miami than on the ground. How you call
- 26:46Speaker 4: in the game if your napier, are you really just
- 26:49Speaker 4: etch a sketch left to right erase the board? I
- 26:51Speaker 4: don't remember last week. My jobs on the line are
- 26:54Speaker 4: seasons on the line. I'm just gonna let him turn
- 26:56Speaker 4: it lose forty five or fifty times again, do you
- 26:59Speaker 4: really feel good about it that?
- 27:00Speaker 2: I think you know.
- 27:01Speaker 1: I think you got to run the football because you
- 27:02Speaker 1: want to get the Miami offense is really good. I
- 27:05Speaker 1: think you want to keep the ball out of Carson
- 27:07Speaker 1: Beck's hands and those receivers. You do want to solve
- 27:09Speaker 1: the game down, whether people are going to say it's
- 27:10Speaker 1: a reaction to the five picks or not. Like when
- 27:12Speaker 1: you look at this game isolated, you want to run
- 27:14Speaker 1: the football more, and obviously if you have the stats
- 27:16Speaker 1: that back it up, like we do need to run
- 27:18Speaker 1: the football more. It's just keeping the ball, like, you
- 27:20Speaker 1: got to keep this game close somehow, because if you
- 27:23Speaker 1: if you're going to lean on a Lagway who just
- 27:25Speaker 1: threw five picks. He could be having the yips right now.
- 27:27Speaker 1: He could be seeing goes there if you're going to
- 27:29Speaker 1: put the ball in his hands forty or fifty times, Like,
- 27:31Speaker 1: I'm not feeling comfortable as a coach if I'm in
- 27:34Speaker 1: that situation.
- 27:35Speaker 2: It's we got to run the ball.
- 27:36Speaker 1: We got to put a DJ in some better situations,
- 27:38Speaker 1: moving around out of the pocket, easier throws, everything else.
- 27:41Speaker 1: You're not trying to win the game in the first half.
- 27:43Speaker 1: I think you, if anything, you want to drag this
- 27:45Speaker 1: game out. Try to lean on him and win in
- 27:46Speaker 1: the you know, win in the fourth quarter. And he
- 27:48Speaker 1: talks about the wounded if you're going to have a chance.
- 27:50Speaker 3: You talked about the wounded animal last week, referring to Florida,
- 27:52Speaker 3: And it's like you had the etch and sketch, but
- 27:54Speaker 3: it's like, how many times are you gonna shake it up? Yeah,
- 27:55Speaker 3: because you just lost the US after you just got Yeah,
- 28:00Speaker 3: that is a dead animal. This is Unfortunately, billion Apiro
- 28:03Speaker 3: had to the guillotine right now, slowly, slowly, but surely.
- 28:06Speaker 3: And I think Miami is covering this.
- 28:08Speaker 2: One wants to take this take the over nod. Yeah,
- 28:15Speaker 2: do it again.
- 28:15Speaker 4: It's there behind you before you take it.
- 28:18Speaker 2: Though, I'm taking Florida. You should have looked behind you.
- 28:22Speaker 1: I called the game with Florida last week. I can't
- 28:25Speaker 1: help the DJ through five picks. I called that game.
- 28:28Speaker 2: This is this is a Josh Paige. Yeah you did failed.
- 28:30Speaker 2: They failed you.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Yeah, like I watched that game like they had every
- 28:33Speaker 1: opportunity to win that football game. They had every opportunity
- 28:35Speaker 1: to cover as well.
- 28:37Speaker 3: Yeah, incredible, Right, And so just so we're following, you're
- 28:40Speaker 3: also taking Indiana and we're going to back again.
- 28:42Speaker 2: But you're taking over over because the dog.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Because I know you seem like you're really thinking clearly
- 28:49Speaker 3: right now, you're taking the over.
- 28:50Speaker 2: You're not taking Indiana because I think we could have
- 28:53Speaker 2: thought he took Indiana as well.
- 28:54Speaker 4: Right, I got the over.
- 28:57Speaker 2: I think we all know taking Florida.
- 29:00Speaker 1: You all know, and the audience watching at home right
- 29:02Speaker 1: now too, Like my head's not clear, my head's not clear.
- 29:07Speaker 2: But I'm taking Indiana Illinois.
- 29:09Speaker 1: I'm taking over in the total points and I'm taking
- 29:12Speaker 1: Florida plus seven and a half.
- 29:14Speaker 4: If I could get the.
- 29:16Speaker 2: I don't know what to do.
- 29:17Speaker 4: From last week spliced UF with the my head's not clear.
- 29:22Speaker 4: I would appreciate that. Yeah, I would appreciate that I
- 29:25Speaker 4: am with what.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Day's clear and that his head's not clear.
- 29:27Speaker 4: Yeah, that's yeah. My instinct is to go decide you
- 29:31Speaker 4: went Florida. But I did it last week. I got
- 29:33Speaker 4: let down. And you're right, like the minus there were
- 29:36Speaker 4: minus four turnovers. They turned it over five times. Yeah,
- 29:39Speaker 4: that screams all right, bounce back. My fear is you're
- 29:43Speaker 4: right and it's just a dead team now. But they
- 29:45Speaker 4: didn't quit on him last year. They had every reason to.
- 29:48Speaker 4: They didn't mail it in last year. What if they're
- 29:50Speaker 4: just not good by the way, you mentioned the yips?
- 29:53Speaker 4: How about my top two preseason quarterbacks in the SEC
- 29:56Speaker 4: now have the yips. I'm watching Arch Manning and DJ
- 29:59Speaker 4: Lagway now to even be control.
- 30:01Speaker 3: That's not on you. That's not on you, and you
- 30:03Speaker 3: should have been right about that. And also arch Manning
- 30:06Speaker 3: reporter first by Jerremy Clump.
- 30:08Speaker 4: Is hurt, but denied by Steve Serkus.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Denied so aggressively.
- 30:13Speaker 1: That's like, well, okay, so aggressively, so aggressively.
- 30:18Speaker 2: He tell you that? Did he say? That's all right?
- 30:21Speaker 3: Guess he's not hurt, like these Obviously, we had this
- 30:24Speaker 3: conversation in the bus, like if you are Sark, you
- 30:27Speaker 3: eventually you have to come out and be like, yes,
- 30:29Speaker 3: he's hurt, because you need to protect your player as well. Yeah,
- 30:31Speaker 3: if you want players to come and play for you,
- 30:33Speaker 3: you want them to feel like you're going to look
- 30:35Speaker 3: out for them when it comes to the media. And
- 30:36Speaker 3: if he's not playing this one and you come out
- 30:38Speaker 3: week eight or nine, like by the way, Arch has
- 30:40Speaker 3: been hurt, it's a little late. So the time's kind
- 30:42Speaker 3: of ticking on that for like, hey, are you going
- 30:44Speaker 3: to protect your players?
- 30:45Speaker 4: Do you think that the concern in Austin. Maybe if
- 30:47Speaker 4: we confirm that he's hurt, Garrettnusmyer is going to go
- 30:50Speaker 4: I've been hurt too. We're still winning.
- 30:52Speaker 2: Somebody did call that? Who did that week one of
- 30:55Speaker 2: the show. I don't know how well I know, but
- 30:58Speaker 2: the audience doesn't know.
- 31:00Speaker 4: Paate State medical sources. Yeah, they really do bad, one
- 31:04Speaker 4: hundred percent. They really know you were.
- 31:07Speaker 2: On the inside there.
- 31:08Speaker 1: But even getting back to that point again, it's not
- 31:10Speaker 1: like the Gators like laid down and quitting that game,
- 31:12Speaker 1: and it was like an abysmal game for Napier they
- 31:14Speaker 1: still had penalties that you know.
- 31:16Speaker 2: Undisciplined football.
- 31:17Speaker 1: But it's just like you know, your queue out there,
- 31:19Speaker 1: your best players out there throwing picks in. My hopes
- 31:22Speaker 1: is that my man just had a bad game. They're
- 31:24Speaker 1: all rallying around him right now because they see all
- 31:26Speaker 1: the you know, each side of the ball, the offensive
- 31:29Speaker 1: line being having a really good defense. Hopefully the defense
- 31:32Speaker 1: is over there patting them on the back. He We're
- 31:33Speaker 1: going to bail you out. And they're hungry for this
- 31:35Speaker 1: game because this is I mean, Miami at Florida. This
- 31:37Speaker 1: place is gonna be rocket yeah, break or Florida at Miami.
- 31:40Speaker 1: My fears.
- 31:41Speaker 3: They say they're right around billion napier last year, and
- 31:44Speaker 3: it's like, yeah, it's like playing a game of Jango,
- 31:45Speaker 3: like you're gonna stack her and keep pulling out pieces,
- 31:47Speaker 3: keep on pieces. But the it's pretty high now. Yeah,
- 31:50Speaker 3: and you like, you don't really believe in billion Napier.
- 31:52Speaker 3: But it's like we got players, we got DJ Liway,
- 31:54Speaker 3: but DJ now has done five interceptions.
- 31:56Speaker 2: So from an offensive.
- 31:57Speaker 3: Standpoint, coaching standpoint, situation awareness, and Florida, there's not a
- 32:02Speaker 3: lot of things to hold on to. From a foundational
- 32:04Speaker 3: standpoint and be like, we feel confident in this, But.
- 32:06Speaker 1: How about the explosion of excitement when you're in Jayka
- 32:09Speaker 1: and you pull that one out, you think it's over,
- 32:11Speaker 1: and it stays yeah, and everybody goes crazy, goes crazy.
- 32:15Speaker 1: It could be Florida this week. Florida plus seven and
- 32:18Speaker 1: a half. Yeah, Miami confident?
- 32:22Speaker 2: Where are you going? Have you John alone in the
- 32:24Speaker 2: sand yet?
- 32:24Speaker 4: Over? I went to Miami and I laid the points
- 32:27Speaker 4: because the other thing I keep thinking about is Florida
- 32:30Speaker 4: could play good and still lose. Miami's a really good team. Yeah,
- 32:34Speaker 4: you know everyone, I kind of fell victim to this.
- 32:36Speaker 4: Earlier in the week, I made it all about Florida.
- 32:38Speaker 4: Well if they do this, if they what if they
- 32:40Speaker 4: don't turn the ball over at all and they still
- 32:42Speaker 4: just get beat because the other guy is a better team.
- 32:44Speaker 4: What if that happens. Carson Becks looked incredible.
- 32:47Speaker 2: It's a fair point.
- 32:48Speaker 4: I mean, they've erased, they got they got a better
- 32:50Speaker 4: I think they've got a better collection of pass catchers
- 32:53Speaker 4: this year than they did last year. And the huge
- 32:56Speaker 4: concern with Miami was they're replacing their top six receivers. Well,
- 33:01Speaker 4: you know, I mean That's why college football is the
- 33:03Speaker 4: way it is when you can portal guys in. It's
- 33:06Speaker 4: not a three year rebuild for all these programs, and
- 33:08Speaker 4: Miami is one of them who can answer a question
- 33:10Speaker 4: really quickly. So quarterbacks answered, receivers answered. That's why I
- 33:14Speaker 4: keep going to the secondary because they they swear their
- 33:17Speaker 4: secondary is improved, and it is improved because it was
- 33:20Speaker 4: terrible last year. But if there's a flaw or a
- 33:23Speaker 4: deficiency on Miami's team that hasn't been exposed yet, it's
- 33:26Speaker 4: the secondary. That's why that's their best shot this week.
- 33:30Speaker 4: But you're counting on a guy who turned it over
- 33:32Speaker 4: five times, which in one game is more than one
- 33:34Speaker 4: hundred and twenty one FBS teams have the whole season,
- 33:37Speaker 4: by the way, You're counting on that to be your hope,
- 33:39Speaker 4: and I don't trust it. That's why I'm laying the
- 33:41Speaker 4: points with Miami.
- 33:45Speaker 5: Carson Beck is your Heisman favorite right now?
- 33:46Speaker 4: Plus seven to fifty, My goodness, whoms to defunct that?
- 33:50Speaker 4: Where's my tier number two?
- 33:53Speaker 5: Number two? I think it was at nine to fifty.
- 33:58Speaker 1: Are you able to track if you hit a FanDuel,
- 34:01Speaker 1: how many people rocked with you on?
- 34:03Speaker 2: Like the Jommetier stuff.
- 34:05Speaker 4: Probably, So it's a good it's a good point. You
- 34:07Speaker 4: need to go find it. And I need to know
- 34:09Speaker 4: every one of those people. I don't think many of
- 34:11Speaker 4: them followed.
- 34:13Speaker 1: You just have to do a show, you know how,
- 34:15Speaker 1: Like at the top of your Bed we got people
- 34:16Speaker 1: tune in from Indian at Kansas, Georgia. You just need
- 34:19Speaker 1: to do a show to where it's just ten minutes
- 34:21Speaker 1: and you just rattled up Clark.
- 34:22Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, the show. Yeah.
- 34:29Speaker 4: I love the John Tiers Sick whoever they are, I
- 34:33Speaker 4: love them.
- 34:33Speaker 2: Yeah, here we go.
- 34:36Speaker 4: We're getting We're either getting closer or we're there? Are
- 34:39Speaker 4: we there?
- 34:39Speaker 2: It's Wednesday. That's the hard part about it. Bro.
- 34:44Speaker 5: Is there a reason y'all two are separated on this episode?
- 34:48Speaker 2: I thought Josh thought it was the more appropriate thing.
- 34:50Speaker 4: Me.
- 34:50Speaker 1: I'm fine, Yeah, I was just I was sitting down
- 34:53Speaker 1: on that chair. In terms of hey, do you mind
- 34:54Speaker 1: moving over there? We need to put Josh paper between us.
- 34:56Speaker 4: I was like, all right, I just wanted a warm chair.
- 34:59Speaker 2: Yeah, you forget you did the intro. So we were
- 35:03Speaker 2: sitting there.
- 35:03Speaker 1: But before when I was just chilling, I was reading
- 35:06Speaker 1: my notes were Yeah, I was I was you saw me?
- 35:09Speaker 1: I was like doing yoga. I was doing breath works right, yea,
- 35:12Speaker 1: Will do you mind moving? We going with Josh Payton
- 35:13Speaker 1: the middle chair so they can separate.
- 35:15Speaker 3: Us true classic game of the week. Every Weekend's got games,
- 35:19Speaker 3: but only one fits just right. This is true classic
- 35:23Speaker 3: game of the week. That game is going to be
- 35:26Speaker 3: The Busting Bull Michigan in Nebraska. Matt Ruhle Year three,
- 35:31Speaker 3: Bryce Underwood, Dylan Reyola. You want to feel good on
- 35:34Speaker 3: game day, even though you're nervous about your team.
- 35:36Speaker 2: What do you do? You grab the true classic pants,
- 35:38Speaker 2: a true classic T shirt. You put it on. You
- 35:41Speaker 2: feel good, look good, and hopefully your team plays good.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Let's get into it.
- 35:44Speaker 3: Three and oer the Michigan Wolverines going to Link in Nebraska.
- 35:49Speaker 3: Game started. I think I believe Will. According to Will,
- 35:52Speaker 3: it opened up at Michigan minus six and a half.
- 35:54Speaker 3: Turns out that was debunk That was a lie.
- 35:56Speaker 1: It was.
- 35:59Speaker 3: Minus three and a half when I placed a thousand
- 36:01Speaker 3: dollars bet on Michigan in June.
- 36:02Speaker 2: Was it a lie?
- 36:04Speaker 4: Wait? What was the claim? Let's run this right now,
- 36:09Speaker 4: I said.
- 36:10Speaker 3: While this game opened up at minus three, the world
- 36:12Speaker 3: still sees how good Michigan is something along those lines,
- 36:14Speaker 3: it Will responded without doing any homework. This game was
- 36:17Speaker 3: actually all six and a half in the summertime, and
- 36:20Speaker 3: I see these tweets, I think I placed the bet
- 36:23Speaker 3: on Michigan Nebraska in the summertime when we went over
- 36:26Speaker 3: to the bust and Bowl uh with one of our episodes.
- 36:29Speaker 2: So I go back June tenth, twenty twenty five.
- 36:32Speaker 3: I placed one thousand dollars bet on Michigan minus three
- 36:35Speaker 3: and a half, which was the line.
- 36:37Speaker 1: But what he's he's failing to realize and understand is
- 36:40Speaker 1: on June ninth, it was minus.
- 36:42Speaker 2: Six and a half.
- 36:43Speaker 1: I placed a bomb on Nebraska and it moved the
- 36:47Speaker 1: line down the three and a half the next day.
- 36:49Speaker 2: So when he took it and he said.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Oh, it's minus three and a half, I also sent
- 36:52Speaker 1: a photo confirming like, heybody, look closer, this is what
- 36:55Speaker 1: it was.
- 36:56Speaker 4: Can ask a personal question, go ahead, it's really personal,
- 36:59Speaker 4: and so if you don't want to add, you don't have
- 37:00Speaker 4: to answer what constitutes a bomb in Will Compton's world. Respectfully,
- 37:07Speaker 4: you're living in a different world than most of our
- 37:09Speaker 4: friends watching, So like what people would be surprised.
- 37:12Speaker 1: It's not like a My bomb is when I put
- 37:15Speaker 1: a grand on something, your bomb.
- 37:17Speaker 2: That's that's the sign of will Compton having confidence. That's
- 37:20Speaker 2: a sign. Yeah, that's that's bomb setting.
- 37:22Speaker 1: It's a lot, a lot like I'm in there, like
- 37:24Speaker 1: I'm in the fandos where I'm responsible a hundred piece
- 37:27Speaker 1: two fifty depending on how many games I do, and
- 37:29Speaker 1: you know, it would be like two fifty or one hundred.
- 37:31Speaker 1: Sometimes if I'm feeling really confident, I'll go five hundred.
- 37:34Speaker 1: And then I'm sprinkling a lot of parlays. I love
- 37:36Speaker 1: the parlays. Josh Pate, if you were a parlay guy'd
- 37:39Speaker 1: be Joshi Parlay. But I'll you know, I'm sprinkling fifty
- 37:42Speaker 1: on this. You got a long one, let me both
- 37:44Speaker 1: throw ten bucks on that.
- 37:45Speaker 2: That one might hit. Let me get a taste of that.
- 37:48Speaker 4: So a thousand like that is ten out of ten
- 37:51Speaker 4: confidence for thousand.
- 37:52Speaker 2: In Willie Sees World's that's that's a bomb.
- 37:54Speaker 3: Wow, WILLI sees World, one thousand dollars is a massive
- 37:58Speaker 3: nuke you would put on a bet slip.
- 37:59Speaker 2: Yep.
- 38:00Speaker 3: Yeah, we had this conversation on Monday. I thought the
- 38:01Speaker 3: same thing like, Okay, Will's putting a thousand on it.
- 38:03Speaker 3: That's a nuke for Will Compton.
- 38:05Speaker 2: What what a NW like? How would I say that
- 38:06Speaker 2: I'm confident in this game? So go Gordon.
- 38:09Speaker 3: It actually texted you both my bet slip for this
- 38:11Speaker 3: game if you want to take a look at it.
- 38:12Speaker 3: Oh so, when I think about the University of Michigan
- 38:25Speaker 3: and what they're able to do to teams.
- 38:28Speaker 2: By the way, Taylor put fifty grand on the game.
- 38:30Speaker 4: Yeah, this is not the metric system. This is real dollars.
- 38:32Speaker 2: It was a real dollars as domestic.
- 38:38Speaker 4: Are you sure about this?
- 38:39Speaker 2: Yes?
- 38:40Speaker 3: Here's why when you look at a blue chip, blue
- 38:44Speaker 3: blood program like the University of Michigan, the grittiness, the toughness,
- 38:48Speaker 3: the trenches is the things you want to look at
- 38:50Speaker 3: a team that says you think you're this, We're gonna
- 38:53Speaker 3: make you question who you are as a culture. We're
- 38:55Speaker 3: going to make you question everything you've done leading up
- 38:57Speaker 3: to this point. Example, Ohio State twenty and a half point
- 39:01Speaker 3: favorites going into Columbus last year. They decided they wanted
- 39:04Speaker 3: to play the same game we play. We win that
- 39:06Speaker 3: game thirteen to ten. We don't have passing. Last year
- 39:09Speaker 3: we play usc their first year in the Big Ten.
- 39:12Speaker 3: Everyone's really excited they can throw the ball over the yard.
- 39:14Speaker 3: We decided to go on a two minute at the
- 39:16Speaker 3: end of the game through the ground when we were
- 39:18Speaker 3: unable to pass the ball. You stack the box with
- 39:21Speaker 3: eight and we make you question how bad do we
- 39:24Speaker 3: really want this game?
- 39:25Speaker 2: Now?
- 39:26Speaker 3: I meant every word I said when I love Nebraska.
- 39:28Speaker 3: It really is GBR after Go Blue for me. I
- 39:31Speaker 3: think the fans there should be very excited about what
- 39:34Speaker 3: they have on their roster, what they've been able to
- 39:36Speaker 3: do Matt rul in year three. But when it comes
- 39:39Speaker 3: down to these one score games you're talking about where
- 39:42Speaker 3: you really have to figure out who you are, and
- 39:44Speaker 3: you were in one this year. That gives you confidence.
- 39:46Speaker 3: But then you have a team like Michigan which doesn't
- 39:49Speaker 3: have as much riding on this year. Everyone in the
- 39:51Speaker 3: Michigan world is like, hey, we're really excited about our quarterback.
- 39:54Speaker 3: Get a cop more piece round them, Like we're competing
- 39:56Speaker 3: for a national championship next year. If we do some
- 39:58Speaker 3: portal stuff, team will make you second guests at the
- 40:04Speaker 3: worst times and for sixty minutes when you have seventy
- 40:07Speaker 3: thousand people in Link in Nebraska, and you're so excited
- 40:10Speaker 3: about the opportunity ninety thousand people where the biggest banner
- 40:13Speaker 3: in that stadium is look how many cell outs we've
- 40:16Speaker 3: had people live, die, and breathe and in Nebraska for
- 40:19Speaker 3: that school, I want them to have all the hope
- 40:21Speaker 3: in the world.
- 40:22Speaker 2: And unfortunately this game might be a blowout.
- 40:25Speaker 4: Yet again, it's a lot of money.
- 40:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a.
- 40:31Speaker 4: Lot of money. It's a lot riding on it. I
- 40:35Speaker 4: feel like you want this game. I feel like you
- 40:39Speaker 4: need this game psychologically. You talk about for me, I'm
- 40:42Speaker 4: not just speaking for you. I'm speaking for Nebraska too.
- 40:45Speaker 1: Oh you're You're one thousand percent spot on, bro. This
- 40:50Speaker 1: is like there's the personal stuff, like, yeah, I want
- 40:53Speaker 1: to beat I want to beat Taylor badly at this game.
- 40:55Speaker 2: I want to trust me. I want to have some.
- 40:57Speaker 1: Messages to old Davy Pizza boy as well, but Nebraska too,
- 41:02Speaker 1: Like you know, everybody's you got the fodder see out
- 41:06Speaker 1: there in the social media world, Taylor, Hey, don't show
- 41:09Speaker 1: will this like you got the top ten scoring offense,
- 41:12Speaker 1: top ten scoring defense on the sample side that we've played,
- 41:15Speaker 1: our passing defense is like the number one pass defense
- 41:18Speaker 1: in this first three span of games since the year
- 41:21Speaker 1: two thousand, So there is a lot of that stuff.
- 41:23Speaker 1: There's also like, could Dylan Rala be in the Heisman talk? Absolutely,
- 41:27Speaker 1: stat wise, statistically he could. But none of that matters
- 41:31Speaker 1: unless you get a win like this against a team
- 41:35Speaker 1: like Michigan. You can talk about its Cincinnati, we barely
- 41:39Speaker 1: we eked it out against Cincinnati. It's a one score game.
- 41:42Speaker 1: Huskers of the pass find a way to lose that game.
- 41:44Speaker 1: That's where like optimistically, like when everybody's talking about, oh,
- 41:47Speaker 1: you barely won that game. No, No, the Siico Nebraska
- 41:50Speaker 1: fans know what optimism to pull out of that game,
- 41:53Speaker 1: whether it's on special teams, whether it's on the having
- 41:56Speaker 1: a big places by the defense in the second quarter
- 41:58Speaker 1: right before have to get points in the icy game
- 42:00Speaker 1: at the end of the game. But it's like that
- 42:02Speaker 1: little that that guy of nerves of anxiety just tap
- 42:06Speaker 1: it on the window of like, Hey, what's gonna happen
- 42:09Speaker 1: this week against a team like Michigan. This is another
- 42:12Speaker 1: This is another stone that the rule era needs to capture.
- 42:15Speaker 1: And it hasn't happened, like you twenty seven games losing
- 42:19Speaker 1: streak in a row against ap top twenty five opponents.
- 42:22Speaker 1: That stats there the world, in the headspace that Nebraska
- 42:26Speaker 1: lives in, this game means everything. This game, because we
- 42:30Speaker 1: beat Michigan, You're in the College Football playoff conversation. We
- 42:34Speaker 1: beat Michigan. Dylan Rail was in the Heisman conversation. I'm
- 42:38Speaker 1: confident because I know what me and coach will have
- 42:40Speaker 1: been building these last three years. I'm confident. But just
- 42:45Speaker 1: to speak for Nebraska as a whole, this game means
- 42:47Speaker 1: a shit ton. I also remember the feeling we had
- 42:49Speaker 1: a couple of years ago when we had the bust
- 42:51Speaker 1: and bawl and we went down fourteen, nothing like that,
- 42:54Speaker 1: and they have a long drive, punch it in, they
- 42:57Speaker 1: tip a pass, pick it off, and we needed more
- 43:00Speaker 1: Oriol Stadium on third and one against Blake Korum and
- 43:03Speaker 1: this Joe Moore offensive line, and we didn't have Memorial
- 43:06Speaker 1: Stadium because of all the pain that we've endured since
- 43:10Speaker 1: the Pollin era, since Willie See, we have a beat
- 43:12Speaker 1: Michigan since Taylor Wan was on the field two years
- 43:15Speaker 1: in a row.
- 43:16Speaker 2: His senior year we beat him at home. His junior year,
- 43:18Speaker 2: we beat him at our place.
- 43:19Speaker 1: That's the last time Nebraska's beat Michigan. So I'm aware
- 43:24Speaker 1: that is factual. You look at the last time Nebraska
- 43:26Speaker 1: beat Michigan was twenty thirteen at Michigan seventeen to thirteen.
- 43:32Speaker 2: That is factual.
- 43:33Speaker 4: Continue, so like there's a whole role there.
- 43:36Speaker 2: There's so much history.
- 43:37Speaker 1: That's like going into the feeling of every Husker fan
- 43:40Speaker 1: waking up on Saturday morning. For me, it's a little
- 43:42Speaker 1: different because there's some personal There's like a personal thing
- 43:45Speaker 1: where I want to get Taylor. Yeah, he's got a
- 43:47Speaker 1: bigger bond to me because he's got some cash. He's
- 43:50Speaker 1: got some sugar Daddy cash as well. But I am
- 43:53Speaker 1: as confident as ever going in to this game because
- 43:57Speaker 1: I feel like I know what kind of product we have.
- 43:59Speaker 1: It's just this game's gonna be one of the trenches.
- 44:01Speaker 1: I'm not worried about Rool and the guys on the outside.
- 44:03Speaker 1: I think we got some I think we got some
- 44:05Speaker 1: good skill guys. I think we got a good secondary.
- 44:08Speaker 1: To me, it's about the trenches. Michigan does a good
- 44:10Speaker 1: job running the football. They have a good front seven.
- 44:13Speaker 1: I wish we had fifteen still on Nebraska's roster and
- 44:17Speaker 1: Bryce Underwood's.
- 44:17Speaker 2: A hell of a player.
- 44:18Speaker 1: He's a tough player, and he's to say he decided
- 44:20Speaker 1: last week. There's no eyes downfield the whole time as
- 44:23Speaker 1: he's getting near the line of scrimmage to throw deep.
- 44:25Speaker 1: Once he decides he's gonna break the pocket a little bit,
- 44:27Speaker 1: he puts in his arm and he's gonna take off.
- 44:29Speaker 1: And we had trouble with soarsmy, So there are those nerves.
- 44:32Speaker 1: But this is I'm very excited because we're gonna get
- 44:35Speaker 1: a real test this We can see what kind of
- 44:37Speaker 1: team Nebraska has.
- 44:39Speaker 4: If I believe what I said when we were sitting
- 44:42Speaker 4: on the bus over here in the preseason about Nebraska.
- 44:44Speaker 4: If I believe that the rule rule is real. If
- 44:48Speaker 4: I believe that Dylan Ryola can progress under Dana Holgerson.
- 44:52Speaker 4: If I believe the wide receiver court Nebraska is among
- 44:55Speaker 4: the more underrated position groups in the Big Ten. If
- 44:59Speaker 4: I believe the program is going to arrive, if I
- 45:01Speaker 4: believe they're a playoff contender, which you and I both
- 45:04Speaker 4: believed preseason, this is the stage that's got to happen
- 45:07Speaker 4: on So while the viewers may watch and say, hey,
- 45:10Speaker 4: I know why he's nervous. I know why he's at
- 45:12Speaker 4: the very least excited, even though he's got a national
- 45:14Speaker 4: championship in the past couple of years. Why would I
- 45:16Speaker 4: be nervous? Well, because I feel like I've got a
- 45:19Speaker 4: lot motionally writing on this as well, and I need
- 45:22Speaker 4: it to happen.
- 45:23Speaker 2: The biggest Nebraska fan nationals tryna see your words.
- 45:25Speaker 4: That's documented. Yeah, yeah, that's the Pate model.
- 45:28Speaker 2: Has the wrong team favorite.
- 45:30Speaker 4: Let's talk about the Pate model. It has the wrong
- 45:33Speaker 4: team favorite here. It thinks Nebraska not only covers, it
- 45:36Speaker 4: thinks Nebraska wins outright. So if I believe all that,
- 45:39Speaker 4: but I still respect Michigan, and I do believe that
- 45:42Speaker 4: them tasting their blood on the road at Oklahoma means
- 45:45Speaker 4: a lot for this game. The conventional college football wisdom
- 45:48Speaker 4: in me says, Nope, until the team's arrived, they're not
- 45:52Speaker 4: gonna arrive against the team that's already arrived or a
- 45:55Speaker 4: program that's already arrived, and Michigan would be the latter
- 45:57Speaker 4: in Nebraska would be the former here. But then the
- 46:00Speaker 4: other side of me says, didn't you just watch Texas
- 46:03Speaker 4: A and m go do something people say they'd never do.
- 46:05Speaker 4: Last week on the road at Notre Dame. Isn't this
- 46:08Speaker 4: College football doesn't cannot just turn into had not all
- 46:12Speaker 4: the time. So this Saturday, I'm actually gonna roll with
- 46:16Speaker 4: the model, and I'm gonna pick Nebraska to win out right,
- 46:19Speaker 4: And I'm gonna believe in Matt rule and you and
- 46:22Speaker 4: the program that you guys have fifty to fifty built.
- 46:25Speaker 4: And I want to see what Memorial Stadium's like in
- 46:28Speaker 4: the fourth quarter when the game's on the line.
- 46:30Speaker 3: It's unfortunate you have to go down to It's unfortunate
- 46:33Speaker 3: you have to go down with him. We inter up
- 46:35Speaker 3: this episode to bring you Mikkel Ultra. Mikeel Ultra's got
- 46:39Speaker 3: this idea. We love play for an Ultra. It's all
- 46:42Speaker 3: about those little friendly competition when there's an Ultra on
- 46:45Speaker 3: the line.
- 46:46Speaker 1: Yeah, Like if we were playing a pig, that's where
- 46:49Speaker 1: I'd take you down and claim my Ultra.
- 46:51Speaker 3: I think we've all seen you play pig. Come on, man,
- 46:52Speaker 3: you know I'd own you. That beer would be mine.
- 46:54Speaker 2: See that's exactly my point.
- 46:56Speaker 1: Doesn't matter if it's touchdowns, hoops, ping pong, cornhole, whatever,
- 47:00Speaker 1: bragging rights taste better with an Ultra superior.
- 47:03Speaker 3: Is worth playing for Michelobultra Superior light Beer.
- 47:07Speaker 2: It's going to be a juicy atmosphere. Again, It's like.
- 47:11Speaker 3: Jury tells us it'll be a juicy atmosphere for the
- 47:13Speaker 3: first fifteen minutes of the game.
- 47:14Speaker 2: Well the game you went to didn't you go to
- 47:16Speaker 2: Colorado last year? Yeah, you guys were in that game. Yeah,
- 47:19Speaker 2: these were actually up the whole time, right.
- 47:21Speaker 1: Yeah, but it was juicy, juicy.
- 47:26Speaker 2: This is going to be Colorado two point oh.
- 47:28Speaker 3: I remember going to halftime and being like, and I
- 47:31Speaker 3: think I said this to g was Gee. I said, like,
- 47:34Speaker 3: Colorado was the worst coach team I've ever seen in
- 47:36Speaker 3: my life.
- 47:36Speaker 2: It was.
- 47:37Speaker 3: It was so bad, But yeah, Lincoln was rocking. Lincoln
- 47:41Speaker 3: was absolutely rocking.
- 47:42Speaker 1: Then look a couple of years ago, Willie See wasn't
- 47:45Speaker 1: on the jumbo tron.
- 47:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I think we're I think.
- 47:50Speaker 3: To get into a crazy main character syndrome to the
- 47:53Speaker 3: point where will actually thinks his words are affecting like
- 47:58Speaker 3: fan base. Like he told me yesterday, He's like, I
- 47:59Speaker 3: don't want to say too much right now because I
- 48:01Speaker 3: don't want bulletin board material.
- 48:02Speaker 2: For I'm thinking, you've completely.
- 48:07Speaker 3: Lost yourself so much so that two years ago, September
- 48:11Speaker 3: twenty third, twenty twenty three, Will is yelling at me
- 48:15Speaker 3: fingers like we're gonna be your candy ass for Buffington Wheels,
- 48:20Speaker 3: and now's hey, that's again, that's right before the game.
- 48:22Speaker 2: I had the mic in mind. I'm trying to get to.
- 48:24Speaker 3: Know on this September twenty third, was on the bus
- 48:26Speaker 3: that was shot on Monday. And so I sit here
- 48:32Speaker 3: Monday and Will comes in and shakes my hand. You know,
- 48:34Speaker 3: we both done the same thing. We walk in the back,
- 48:36Speaker 3: we talk our little shit, and then we walk out
- 48:38Speaker 3: and the next person comes in and I'm just like,
- 48:40Speaker 3: what's changed? Cause two years ago, when everyone's like Michigan
- 48:45Speaker 3: could win the Nation championship, probably Will has the roster,
- 48:48Speaker 3: Do has the coaching staff. But then Will, coming off
- 48:51Speaker 3: another non bowl season, first year quarterback or not even
- 48:55Speaker 3: you didn't have Rila yet you look committed to your program,
- 48:58Speaker 3: and he's like working, hiring baby, eating your candy ass,
- 49:01Speaker 3: We're gonna do this and we had a puncher's chance
- 49:03Speaker 3: all these things, and it's like, that's the fight I
- 49:06Speaker 3: love at a Will Compton. The fight He's in a
- 49:08Speaker 3: drag no matter what. Nebraska cornhusters. When you're down, I'm
- 49:11Speaker 3: gonna I'm gonna keep it. When we're up, I'm gonna
- 49:13Speaker 3: be waving that flag. Now we get to this week
- 49:16Speaker 3: and it's like it's like a little turtle. He's just
- 49:19Speaker 3: kind of like he gets a little scared, little spook,
- 49:21Speaker 3: like the moment's here and you're kind of having paralysis
- 49:24Speaker 3: by analysis because like all the words, all the thought
- 49:27Speaker 3: process where you're like, we're gonna be X, Y and Z,
- 49:30Speaker 3: so okay, well, now's the time. It's Saturday. Saturday is
- 49:32Speaker 3: right around the corner, and there's just crickets. There's a
- 49:36Speaker 3: I don't want to give the football team more bulletin
- 49:39Speaker 3: board material as if a thirty five year old at
- 49:43Speaker 3: the time of the game, thirty six year old will
- 49:45Speaker 3: have that much weight bearing on a game. And I
- 49:48Speaker 3: just say to myself, I'm getting to the point where
- 49:53Speaker 3: if Nebraska doesn't win this.
- 49:54Speaker 4: Game, oh no, don't say this will is done.
- 49:58Speaker 2: And I'm not I'm not. I'm not sure.
- 50:00Speaker 3: I'm not trying to important to these are words again they'
- 50:04Speaker 3: I'm not trying to. But like I can see the
- 50:07Speaker 3: pressure and if he's feeling that he's not even in
- 50:09Speaker 3: the building. It's like, I got a I got a
- 50:14Speaker 3: freshman quarterback who you know, obviously we don't have the
- 50:18Speaker 3: game we want against Oklahoma, but he's in the third quarter,
- 50:20Speaker 3: still jumping out, excited to be there. It doesn't It
- 50:22Speaker 3: seems like he's too ignorant at this point to flinch
- 50:24Speaker 3: at adversity, Like he doesn't really know the pressures of
- 50:27Speaker 3: like what us sitting here as fans are.
- 50:30Speaker 2: And if he feels this way, how is Matt Ruhle feeling.
- 50:33Speaker 3: I popped on the screen the other day of his
- 50:35Speaker 3: podcast and he goes, I'm so excited to see you.
- 50:39Speaker 2: I thought, oh are you?
- 50:42Speaker 4: Are you?
- 50:43Speaker 2: Bud? Yeah? Cool?
- 50:44Speaker 3: Jeckler sends me a blue heart emoji and then crying
- 50:47Speaker 3: tears this week, and I'm thinking thinking about it way
- 50:54Speaker 3: too like, hey, you gotta play sixteen minutes.
- 50:56Speaker 2: I'm not on the grid iron.
- 50:57Speaker 3: It'd be a lot better in Michigan's favor if I
- 50:59Speaker 3: was back then, But unfortunately I can't play the game
- 51:01Speaker 3: for him. But you can't lose this game on Monday
- 51:04Speaker 3: Tuesday Wednesday. And that's what they've done so far. We've
- 51:07Speaker 3: lost the game on Monday Tuesday Wednesday.
- 51:09Speaker 2: The pressure is building up so much.
- 51:10Speaker 3: It's like I truly sit here and I'm like, maybe
- 51:14Speaker 3: call Biff Pogi beg.
- 51:16Speaker 2: You gotta give him one, gotta give him more.
- 51:21Speaker 1: This is the same guy that was shut down after
- 51:23Speaker 1: the Oklahoma game asking me, Willie see what do I
- 51:26Speaker 1: do on the internet? What kind of picture? What do
- 51:28Speaker 1: I post? How do I talk to the fan base
- 51:30Speaker 1: after losing. I've never been in this spot, this spot
- 51:33Speaker 1: plenty of times, begging for some some guidance and advice
- 51:36Speaker 1: from MS King.
- 51:37Speaker 2: That's what I want. That's the guy I want right now.
- 51:40Speaker 2: Keep going and.
- 51:41Speaker 4: Listen, bulletin boar coming, bulletin boar, didn't coming going.
- 51:44Speaker 2: He wants it, he wants to I'm sure listen.
- 51:46Speaker 1: Michigan's probably is gonna play a lot of Willy Ce
- 51:48Speaker 1: tape before this game kicks off.
- 51:49Speaker 2: They need some motivation coming into this place once again.
- 51:53Speaker 2: Main character syndrome, keep going, you're doing it.
- 51:55Speaker 1: I like Nebraska. I like Nebraska. I think we finally,
- 51:59Speaker 1: I think we finally. I think we finally turned the page.
- 52:01Speaker 1: And that excitement's been like the It's like the same
- 52:04Speaker 1: excitement like Cincinnati. It's like this slow burn because you're
- 52:07Speaker 1: just you just feel like a caged animal. You just
- 52:10Speaker 1: feel like a caged animal. This is such a moment
- 52:12Speaker 1: for us. I hope Bud Crawford walks out with all
- 52:15Speaker 1: of his belts leading the Huskers in.
- 52:17Speaker 2: The Memorial Stadi.
- 52:19Speaker 1: I think the ninety seven championship team is going to
- 52:21Speaker 1: be there too. Everyone everyone's this is this is out there.
- 52:29Speaker 1: My face will be painted and it's gonna be fucking awesome. Man,
- 52:34Speaker 1: I'm excited.
- 52:35Speaker 3: I will say this in all seriousness. If you guys
- 52:37Speaker 3: win this game, I'm gonna shake your hand. I'm gonna
- 52:39Speaker 3: be happy for Nebraska. And I'm this is not a bit.
- 52:42Speaker 3: I will mean that.
- 52:43Speaker 2: I feel the same way with you. You I see you
- 52:47Speaker 2: can ask that is not the case. This is a
- 52:51Speaker 2: new this is a new year, this is a new team,
- 52:53Speaker 2: this is a new Willie.
- 52:54Speaker 4: See.
- 52:54Speaker 1: We lose this game, I'm not down at Like, yeah,
- 52:57Speaker 1: I will feel like the world's crumbling. You know, I'm
- 52:59Speaker 1: gonna do my thing about it. But you know, it's
- 53:02Speaker 1: like we were talking before the season, there's there's four
- 53:05Speaker 1: Like if we're talking about Nebraska football being a potential
- 53:08Speaker 1: college football playoff team, there's four games on the schedule.
- 53:10Speaker 1: It's Michigan's USC, it's Penn State, and it's Iowa.
- 53:14Speaker 2: And this is the first one. So even it's like
- 53:17Speaker 2: the second or third time he's told us this, this
- 53:21Speaker 2: needs it.
- 53:21Speaker 3: Listen, you've had two two days since Monday to think
- 53:25Speaker 3: about a bet. I told you, whatever you want to do,
- 53:27Speaker 3: we'll do. I like, I like for.
- 53:28Speaker 2: Something to come to the table now, okay, so I
- 53:30Speaker 2: would like to add to.
- 53:33Speaker 1: If you're open to it. We are locked in on
- 53:34Speaker 1: a bet for shaved heads and shaved faces for a
- 53:36Speaker 1: loser or like to throw in throw.
- 53:39Speaker 2: On the table loser of this game.
- 53:44Speaker 1: Fifty thousand dollars from Busting with the Boys goes to
- 53:46Speaker 1: the nil collective of the winning team.
- 53:50Speaker 2: Why wouldn't it be personal? Well, I'll throw. You don't
- 53:53Speaker 2: want to donate to Michigan if I would love doing
- 53:55Speaker 2: it to Michigan.
- 53:56Speaker 1: Absolutely if it's the bust and Bowl, So why not
- 53:58Speaker 1: with the bust and Bowl bus themed Busting with the.
- 54:01Speaker 2: Boys fifty dollars? So Nebraska loses, Nebraska loses Busting with
- 54:07Speaker 2: the Boys, I donate as well as you to Michigan. Yes,
- 54:12Speaker 2: all right, yeah, I think that's a fun hold on.
- 54:15Speaker 2: I think also if you want to add something more
- 54:17Speaker 2: to that.
- 54:19Speaker 3: If Michigan wins this game until they play next time,
- 54:22Speaker 3: you have to concede to the fact that Michigan is
- 54:24Speaker 3: the nineteen ninety seven National champions.
- 54:31Speaker 2: As long as it's vice versa.
- 54:32Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely, okay, but we're not done to do that.
- 54:39Speaker 2: I want you to grow your hair out. Oh that's
- 54:42Speaker 2: off the table. That's too much. That's where you draw
- 54:44Speaker 2: the line all the year.
- 54:46Speaker 1: Same Just for the record, we lose this game, I'm
- 54:50Speaker 1: gonna get Josh paiterr cut, I'm gonna get the buzz
- 54:53Speaker 1: back there, and I'm gonna I'm gonna bick this top
- 54:55Speaker 1: part and I'm gonna have aviators on.
- 54:58Speaker 4: Yeah don't. I don't big.
- 54:59Speaker 1: But as far as the growing out there, that's that's.
- 55:01Speaker 1: Here's what we got on the table. Shaved face and head,
- 55:04Speaker 1: no eyebrows. Fifty thousand bustling with the boys donates to
- 55:09Speaker 1: the n I n I collective of the winning team.
- 55:12Speaker 1: And then what was that The loser has to basically
- 55:15Speaker 1: concede the nineteen ninety seven National championship until until win again,
- 55:20Speaker 1: until they play again, until they play again.
- 55:22Speaker 4: Wait did they play next year?
- 55:24Speaker 2: Play next year?
- 55:25Speaker 4: We made with a check on that.
- 55:27Speaker 3: Wow, it was the next time mission and Bastros supposed
- 55:28Speaker 3: to because because last year we looked it up and
- 55:30Speaker 3: there was play for the next seven years. Yeah, maybe
- 55:37Speaker 3: changing schedules all the time. Man, how do we feel
- 55:40Speaker 3: about the best? I feel like there should be more
- 55:41Speaker 3: on the table.
- 55:43Speaker 2: That's where That's where we're at right now, no matter
- 55:45Speaker 2: what we're.
- 55:45Speaker 1: Locked in at. Shaved head, shaved face. That was a
- 55:48Speaker 1: hand shaved that.
- 55:50Speaker 2: I shook the hand on that I probably shouldn't have.
- 55:52Speaker 2: I wanted to be more.
- 55:53Speaker 5: Is it just shaved one time or you you bawled
- 55:55Speaker 5: for the rest of the year.
- 55:57Speaker 2: It's shaved one time. Seeah.
- 55:58Speaker 3: I like the idea of us being one of us
- 56:00Speaker 3: being bald the rest of the year, for the rest
- 56:03Speaker 3: this being I like this being a bet where you
- 56:05Speaker 3: go and it's like November December and you're still feeling
- 56:08Speaker 3: the effects of this bet twenty twenty the next time
- 56:12Speaker 3: they play that sucks bald and no mustache until twenty
- 56:17Speaker 3: twenty eight would be Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too now.
- 56:23Speaker 3: Were talking bold like bick or we can keep a
- 56:25Speaker 3: little buzz.
- 56:26Speaker 5: Like Josh Bate. That's not a shot, No it's not
- 56:30Speaker 5: at all.
- 56:33Speaker 2: Listen, Yeah, like I feel good about shaving my head
- 56:37Speaker 2: and knowing it's gonna come back. I will say, there's
- 56:44Speaker 2: there's been a couple of thoughts, what is but I know,
- 56:49Speaker 2: like my hair is.
- 56:50Speaker 3: Gonna look at the exact scent is like it might
- 56:54Speaker 3: be me and two paints next year the bus.
- 56:57Speaker 4: Let's send you my number, we'll talk.
- 56:58Speaker 3: Yeah, you figure it out. Ye dollars shaved Club's cool
- 57:02Speaker 3: sponsorship for that.
- 57:03Speaker 4: It's really cheap though, it's really affordable.
- 57:06Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, you can save a lot of money.
- 57:07Speaker 4: It's great.
- 57:08Speaker 2: I like the year.
- 57:09Speaker 3: I like you to keep that in mind for the
- 57:11Speaker 3: rest of the year. Calendar year or calendar calendar year,
- 57:13Speaker 3: calendar calendar years off.
- 57:15Speaker 2: But what are you doing?
- 57:17Speaker 4: What do I do?
- 57:18Speaker 2: Problem?
- 57:19Speaker 3: This is the problem that I keep talking about, is
- 57:21Speaker 3: like all the confidence every single year, every single week,
- 57:24Speaker 3: and now it's like time it's time for you to
- 57:27Speaker 3: figuratively and literally put your money where you're mouth.
- 57:29Speaker 2: The place bomb on fans.
- 57:32Speaker 1: You come to me with this, twenty five thousand of
- 57:35Speaker 1: my own dollars going to the nil Collective.
- 57:38Speaker 3: It's like, yeah, so we'll both just be donating to
- 57:41Speaker 3: one school, Like that's not really about It's like something
- 57:43Speaker 3: I think we boasted down and like if we had
- 57:44Speaker 3: like a backdoor conversation, we probably do that for.
- 57:46Speaker 2: Both schools, but yeah, through fifty each.
- 57:50Speaker 3: But it's like that doesn't feel It's like, however, no
- 57:55Speaker 3: problem signing a Tailwan donates fifty thousand dollars to Nebraska.
- 58:01Speaker 3: We'll have no problem with that, just like I'm assuming
- 58:03Speaker 3: you wouldn't have an issue with that either. That's like fun,
- 58:05Speaker 3: it's great for the programs and stuff like that. But like,
- 58:07Speaker 3: I want the loser to feel this loss because it's
- 58:11Speaker 3: been brewing, it's been marinating for so long.
- 58:14Speaker 2: And I see you this week and I'm like, this
- 58:16Speaker 2: is not the Compton.
- 58:17Speaker 5: I know, Josh, what are your thoughts?
- 58:19Speaker 4: What do you think?
- 58:20Speaker 2: I don't know it is.
- 58:21Speaker 4: When I come to this kind of predicament, I just
- 58:23Speaker 4: crowdsource it because my audience always comes up with something
- 58:26Speaker 4: better than I do. I would like to see you
- 58:27Speaker 4: throughout the first pitch at the Nebraska baseball game.
- 58:30Speaker 2: Would love that.
- 58:31Speaker 4: Yeah, like that would be no warm up. That would
- 58:33Speaker 4: be good.
- 58:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I actually got one, and we'd have to work
- 58:37Speaker 3: it out with the schools. Loser has to go to
- 58:42Speaker 3: the other team's school and be a cheerleader for a
- 58:45Speaker 3: game with the cheer squad.
- 58:46Speaker 2: Dressed in uniform and everything.
- 58:49Speaker 3: Now, so Michigan wins, you amazing blue two piece, get
- 58:57Speaker 3: some pomp poms in your hand, and I want you
- 58:59Speaker 3: four quarters on the style line.
- 59:04Speaker 4: Probably probably more looking at the spring game here due
- 59:06Speaker 4: to red tape. But yeah, it's a good idea. It's
- 59:08Speaker 4: a really good I.
- 59:08Speaker 1: Think be great because againcause the only thing that was
- 59:11Speaker 1: going on in my head is just like, yeah, it's
- 59:13Speaker 1: like that's a that's an awesome idea.
- 59:15Speaker 2: Uh, it's just the scheduling and ship like, hey, I
- 59:18Speaker 2: gotta go feeling. I got an example. You know, dress right,
- 59:30Speaker 2: child can give you pointers.
- 59:32Speaker 4: By the way, that's only if you lose, which you're
- 59:34Speaker 4: not going to.
- 59:35Speaker 2: That's the thing. He's not thinking about winning. Listen, I
- 59:39Speaker 2: can't play the game for these boys, Like, but you.
- 59:41Speaker 3: Saw the mom The only thing you've said is I
- 59:44Speaker 3: mean they never had Willy see on the jumbo tron.
- 59:46Speaker 3: I know Michigan's thinking about Willy c puts thing on.
- 59:49Speaker 1: You're like, well, I can't play for him, but this
- 59:53Speaker 1: bed thing is a complete Like this is like a
- 59:55Speaker 1: separate thing.
- 59:57Speaker 4: Mm hmm, it feels pretty correlated.
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: I think a mission or basket weren't playing this bat
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: would be here. Yeah, I like the dog on the road,
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: but I would take them.
- 1:00:09Speaker 5: So what's the final bet?
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: I don't know. Yeah, I don't know what the final
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: bet is.
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: No, yeah, it's but we're not push anymore. I would
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: love a long lasting bet. It sounds like you're not
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: willing to do that, right, that's off the table for Okay,
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: So it sounds like, here's the bet. Loser has to
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: shave their head and face the long lasting bet is
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: the nineteen ninety seven Yeah, you've already agreed to that. Correct, Yeah,
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: I haven't shook on it, but yes.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: So let's just let it. Let's just lay it out there.
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: You shave, everything's up for your eyebrows. Let it grow
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: back as this.
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: Loser concedes that the other team is the nineteen ninety
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: seven national champion, and then the winning team gets fifty
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: thousand dollars from Bust, with the boys donated to their school.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: Am I correct to saying all that?
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: I believe?
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: So?
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: Yeah, is there anything else before we shake on this?
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: I made the mistake of shaking on the shave face earlier,
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: any changes, any thoughts, brainstorm, no bad ideas.
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: I think it has to be for the football season.
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: I don't disagree, and you've got it's off the table.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: I'm not sure. I mean, yeah, yeah, yeah, no bad
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: it is in brainstorm like we're like, you both.
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: Have wis and kids, take family pictures.
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: And that's what makes it so much better. I told
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: town too, I walked in. I want you to know.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: I put it on the table that I'm betting anything.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: She's like, why, why why do you do this? And
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: I was like, because people have to know. It's it's
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: all good.
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: Till that Thanksgiving family picture. I think that would be awesome.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: Yeah, look a uh one shave nineteen ninety seven, fifty thousand,
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: fifty thousand dollars.
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: What are you putting in? You're of Nebraska two, so
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: what are you giving me? You have to grow your
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: hair out for a week.
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: Yeah, I'll be nice to you. I have been, I
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: have been.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: We path we sitting here for fifteen minutes.
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: No, I really think I just need to moderate this one.
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: I need to sit this one up. My advice to
- 1:02:06Speaker 4: you is lock all this stuff in in the spring.
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: Next time you would have gotten concessions on everything in
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: the spring, even in the summer, even in week one,
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: but you let it get the game week before you
- 1:02:15Speaker 4: threw the big tokens out there. He didn't bite on all.
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: The thing with Will is it's a no before yes.
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: And I thought, if I like, I've seen how confident
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: he is, and then we get to like where I
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: should believe he's most confident all we're Franklin the Turtle.
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: Oh not Franklin.
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: Unfortunately, that's where I kind of go back to, like,
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: maybe it's worth for our friendship.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: Noise rattles an empty cage, and my cage is full
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: of work. I know a rule and I've been building
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: these last three years.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: In the model, He's had quotes like that all year there.
