Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah, this is Mark Simon Show on sevent tenor.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Well it's Monday. There's a lot going on. We'll get
- 0:10Speaker 2: you caught up on everything. We'll get the latest Don Iran.
- 0:13Speaker 2: We'll get to Eric Swalwell, it's over for him. We'll
- 0:17Speaker 2: get to a mom Donnie in a silly grocery store.
- 0:19Speaker 2: We'll get to Bruce Blakeman, next Governor of New York.
- 0:23Speaker 2: We'll get to Artemis, the space craft and the astronauts.
- 0:27Speaker 2: We'll get to the Masters and a whole lot more.
- 0:29Speaker 2: We'll get to Kamala Harris became the laughing stock of
- 0:34Speaker 2: the Internet on Saturday. We'll explain why. So as we
- 0:39Speaker 2: speak right now, blockade is beginning. President Trump has decided
- 0:43Speaker 2: to put up a blockade on the straits of Hormouse. Now,
- 0:48Speaker 2: most people just casual watches of the news. You know,
- 0:52Speaker 2: they watched the evening news and they quickly read the paper.
- 0:55Speaker 2: You're a victim of fake news. You've been given a
- 0:59Speaker 2: false impress. And if you watch the Sunday shows, they
- 1:02Speaker 2: really go out of their way to just totally mislead
- 1:04Speaker 2: the public. Couple of things you got to know. Fact,
- 1:08Speaker 2: we get no oil out of the straits of Hormoose.
- 1:10Speaker 2: We don't need it for anything. It could be closed
- 1:12Speaker 2: forever and it doesn't affect the United States. If it's closed,
- 1:17Speaker 2: if it's blockaded, if it's closed, it completely screws up Iran.
- 1:22Speaker 2: It's their only source of revenue. Oil. That's all they do.
- 1:25Speaker 2: They sell oil, and if the Straits of Hormose are blocked,
- 1:29Speaker 2: they can't sell any oil and they've got zero revenue
- 1:33Speaker 2: coming in. It also screws up China. They are heavily
- 1:37Speaker 2: dependent on Iranian oil, so it really messes up China.
- 1:43Speaker 2: That's one reason we're not rushing to get it open.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Now here's another fact. We can open the Straits of
- 1:47Speaker 2: Hormoose at any time, anytime we feel like it. It's
- 1:51Speaker 2: an easy thing to do militarily. We've got the plan
- 1:55Speaker 2: on how to open it. Admiral Cooper Scentcom could execute
- 1:59Speaker 2: that in a second as he gets the go ahead,
- 2:01Speaker 2: could totally open the Straits of Hormoose. We're not going
- 2:04Speaker 2: to do that for a while because the longer it's closed,
- 2:06Speaker 2: the more it hurts China. It completely takes all revenue
- 2:10Speaker 2: away from Iran. And also it helps the United States.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Not only don't we need that oil. But if the
- 2:17Speaker 2: Straits of Hormoose are closed, it actually helps us. We
- 2:21Speaker 2: make more money because if it's closed Europe, India, many
- 2:26Speaker 2: countries that are totally dependent on that oil now have
- 2:30Speaker 2: to buy from the United States. We are actually oil
- 2:33Speaker 2: rich right now. We've got more oil than we need.
- 2:35Speaker 2: We're an exporter of oil now. In fact, right now
- 2:37Speaker 2: we're the biggest exporter of oil in the world. So
- 2:40Speaker 2: as long as the Straits of Hormose are closed, a
- 2:43Speaker 2: lot of these countries who used to buy that oil
- 2:46Speaker 2: now have to buy it from us. And they're also
- 2:49Speaker 2: thinking that after a while, they're going to start to realize,
- 2:52Speaker 2: you know what, this is a better supplier Straits of
- 2:56Speaker 2: Hormose Iranian oil. There's always a risk something could go
- 2:58Speaker 2: wrong in other war, another we're safe for buying US oil.
- 3:03Speaker 2: So this is benefiting us greatly. The blockade will go
- 3:07Speaker 2: into place, they have to clear the mines out and
- 3:09Speaker 2: all of that. We've got all kinds of it. Used
- 3:11Speaker 2: to be a big thing worrying about mines in the
- 3:13Speaker 2: shipping lane, but we've got all kinds of technology now,
- 3:16Speaker 2: all kinds of new mind detectors we didn't have before.
- 3:19Speaker 2: We've got underwater drones, all sorts of stuff that we
- 3:22Speaker 2: didn't have before, we weren't able to use. Here's President Trump.
- 3:25Speaker 3: They probably have a couple of mines in the water.
- 3:27Speaker 4: We have mine sweepers out there. We're sweeping these straight.
- 3:32Speaker 3: In addition to that one negotiating.
- 3:34Speaker 4: Whether we make a deal or not, it makes no
- 3:36Speaker 4: difference to me.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Yeah, so we were clearing the minds out. We've had
- 3:41Speaker 2: US warships going through the straits of horn Moose all
- 3:44Speaker 2: weekend just checking it out. Everything will be fine there. Again,
- 3:50Speaker 2: keeping it blockaded helps us. We make more money that way,
- 3:55Speaker 2: and it completely completely screws up all revenue coming into
- 3:59Speaker 2: Iran and messes up China. That's another reason. They'll stall
- 4:03Speaker 2: as long as they can.
- 4:04Speaker 5: Now.
- 4:04Speaker 2: As far as the talks, well, they'll continue. They were
- 4:08Speaker 2: twenty one hours over the weekend. Can you imagine sitting
- 4:16Speaker 2: in a hotel in Pakistan talking to Iranian negotiators for
- 4:21Speaker 2: twenty one hours? Now? Does anybody in the world want
- 4:24Speaker 2: to do that? If you're Steve Wikoff, you're living in
- 4:29Speaker 2: New York, having the time of your life, having fun,
- 4:31Speaker 2: building buildings, enjoying New York, who would give that up
- 4:36Speaker 2: to go sit in a hotel conference room in Pakistan
- 4:41Speaker 2: at a table for twenty and one hours talking to
- 4:43Speaker 2: Iranian negotiators with interpreters. But they did it. JD. Vance
- 4:48Speaker 2: led the negotiations. It didn't go well. The nukes were
- 4:50Speaker 2: the big topic.
- 4:51Speaker 6: The enrichment facilities that they had before they've been destroyed.
- 4:56Speaker 6: But the civil question is do we see a fundamental
- 4:59Speaker 6: commitment of will for the Iranians not to develop a
- 5:03Speaker 6: nuclear weapon, not just now, not just two years from now,
- 5:06Speaker 6: but for the long term. We haven't seen that yet.
- 5:07Speaker 2: We hope that we will. Now when it comes to
- 5:10Speaker 2: negotiating with Iran, everybody will tell you, whether it's Obama
- 5:13Speaker 2: or Biden or Pillary or anybody, that they're the worst
- 5:16Speaker 2: negotiators in the world. They're absolutely totally untrustworthy. Even if
- 5:23Speaker 2: they were a degree, they're lying about everything. They're always lying.
- 5:25Speaker 2: So obviously, in any negotiation there's ups and downs and
- 5:29Speaker 2: there's bumps, but with somebody like Iran, it's going to
- 5:32Speaker 2: be more ups and downs and a bumpier road than ever.
- 5:35Speaker 2: So the fact that the talks blew up and fell
- 5:37Speaker 2: through after day one is to be expected. There was
- 5:39Speaker 2: no agreement we've.
- 5:40Speaker 6: Been at it now for twenty one hours, and we've
- 5:44Speaker 6: had a number of substant discussions with the Iranians.
- 5:47Speaker 2: That's the good news.
- 5:49Speaker 6: The bad news is that we have not reached the agreement.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll blockade the whole thing and then we'll see
- 5:56Speaker 2: what happens. Where are they actually, they're in Pakistan Live
- 6:00Speaker 2: Star Serena hotel where they're having the peace talks. It's
- 6:04Speaker 2: a huge hotel. It's kind of a resort. It's got
- 6:06Speaker 2: fifteen acres, it's got four hundred rooms, it's got multiple
- 6:11Speaker 2: banquet rooms, huge banquet rooms, conference rooms, office complex. These
- 6:16Speaker 2: two delegations, by the way, are people, our team and
- 6:19Speaker 2: their team, one hundred and fifty people. So it's not
- 6:21Speaker 2: a little room. It's a big room. There's one hundred
- 6:23Speaker 2: and fifty people sitting in this room doing this negotiation.
- 6:28Speaker 2: But everything will be fine. The pope shooting off his mouth,
- 6:32Speaker 2: Pope Leo, who is a real left wing, woke pope
- 6:38Speaker 2: speaking out pretty much defending a ran going after the
- 6:41Speaker 2: US on this President Trump firing back at him.
- 6:45Speaker 7: We don't like it.
- 6:46Speaker 3: We don't like a pope that's gonna say that it's
- 6:49Speaker 3: okay to have a nuclear weapon. We don't want a
- 6:52Speaker 3: pope that says crime is okay.
- 6:54Speaker 7: In our cities.
- 6:55Speaker 5: I don't like it.
- 6:56Speaker 8: I'm not a big fan of Publio.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Yeah, now you we can't attack the pope. Is it's
- 7:00Speaker 2: going to hurt him, No, it's not going to hurt him.
- 7:02Speaker 2: He did this before with the last pope. Remember they
- 7:03Speaker 2: got no huge war awards and Trump only went up.
- 7:07Speaker 2: It was I think it was during the South Carolina
- 7:08Speaker 2: primary attack the pope. That's it, he's finished. He won
- 7:11Speaker 2: that primary easily, had this pope again. We love the pope,
- 7:15Speaker 2: but this guy's way to the left. The reel woke
- 7:19Speaker 2: and it was really inappropriate for the Pope to say
- 7:21Speaker 2: what he said, taking a side like that, and a
- 7:24Speaker 2: lot of people criticizing this pope because over the last
- 7:28Speaker 2: six months, as Iran was executing people in the street, slaughtering, killing,
- 7:33Speaker 2: executing thirty thousand protesters, this pope never said a word
- 7:39Speaker 2: and the demonstrators that survived ended up in the hospital.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Iran sent the Republican guard into the hospital to shoot
- 7:47Speaker 2: them in their hospital beds. Pope never said a word. So,
- 7:52Speaker 2: you know the hypocrisy left wingers are famous for. But
- 7:56Speaker 2: President Trump not afraid to lash out of him.
- 7:58Speaker 3: He's a very liberal and he's a man that doesn't
- 8:02Speaker 3: believe in stopping grime. He's a man that doesn't think
- 8:05Speaker 3: that we should be going with a country that wants
- 8:10Speaker 3: a nuclear weapons so they can blow up the world.
- 8:13Speaker 3: I'm not a fan of Bubblio.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Yeah, he's very very I'm Donnie like. He defends the criminals,
- 8:20Speaker 2: not the you know, not the police. Hey, over the weekend.
- 8:28Speaker 2: It ended over the weekend, but started on Wednesday. Al
- 8:31Speaker 2: Sharpton had his convention, and in his convention, believe it
- 8:38Speaker 2: or not, if you're a Democrat and you want to
- 8:39Speaker 2: run in twenty twenty eight, you have to show up
- 8:41Speaker 2: and kiss the Al Sharpton ring. And one by one
- 8:45Speaker 2: they all did it. There was Boota j. Edge and
- 8:47Speaker 2: he did very well there because remember it's an Al
- 8:49Speaker 2: Sharpton convention, not much substance there. It's left wing kooks
- 8:53Speaker 2: and the Pete Boodhage. Edge spews out those left wing
- 8:56Speaker 2: bumper stickers and they loved it. So you had Josh Piero,
- 9:01Speaker 2: who is out of all these people, probably the most
- 9:04Speaker 2: common sense of them, probably the smartest of the bunch.
- 9:08Speaker 2: He's Jewish, that's a problem for these Democrats. They don't
- 9:11Speaker 2: want He's pretty good as governor of Pennsylvania. Then he
- 9:16Speaker 2: had Mark Kelly, who strange looking guy, who you know,
- 9:20Speaker 2: the angry looking guy. But Democrats love that strange angry
- 9:24Speaker 2: Oh that's big with Democrats. Some people think the way
- 9:27Speaker 2: he handled himself there it looked like he was thinking
- 9:29Speaker 2: of running in twenty twenty eight. Problem with him, He
- 9:33Speaker 2: was under serious consideration to be Kamala's running mate, and
- 9:37Speaker 2: from what I hear, he had some vetting problems. The
- 9:40Speaker 2: vetting process, there were some things that eliminated him. So
- 9:45Speaker 2: I don't know what those are, but you've got that
- 9:46Speaker 2: to worry about. The other problem is, because of all
- 9:51Speaker 2: the recent Democratic talk, Mark Kelly is now officially, according
- 9:56Speaker 2: to Democratic definition, a war criminal because she always brags
- 10:00Speaker 2: about being a fighter pilot. He flew combat missions in Iraq,
- 10:05Speaker 2: and well what he did in Iraq was take out
- 10:07Speaker 2: bridges and take out power plays. That's what he did
- 10:11Speaker 2: on those combat missions. So by his own definition, he's
- 10:14Speaker 2: a war criminals. You're gonna have to worry about that.
- 10:16Speaker 2: But Kamala Harris made the strangest speech a because she
- 10:19Speaker 2: was apparently drunk. Everybody agreed. She appeared to be totally drunk,
- 10:25Speaker 2: and there's nothing worse than a drunk trying to be funny.
- 10:28Speaker 2: She tried to imitate Donald Trump. She got ridiculed all
- 10:32Speaker 2: over the internet. It's considered to be the single worst
- 10:34Speaker 2: impersonation ever of Donald Trump. Let me see if I
- 10:38Speaker 2: can play it here. It is horror, just horrible. Her
- 10:43Speaker 2: Donald Trump impression.
- 10:45Speaker 9: Is when he talks about America. First it's to withdraw
- 10:51Speaker 9: from these relationships and these connections, and then he kind
- 10:55Speaker 9: of read acts like a mob boss. So then he's
- 10:58Speaker 9: kind of like, you know, you take.
- 11:02Speaker 10: It Eastern Europe and I'll take the Western atmosphere, and
- 11:09Speaker 10: then you.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Over you get Asian.
- 11:12Speaker 2: And we'll just divide it up, right instead of understanding.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Now that's supposed to be an impression of Donald Trump.
- 11:20Speaker 2: It will go down on the record as a single
- 11:22Speaker 2: worst impersonation ever. Hey, Eric Swallwell, one minute he's running
- 11:28Speaker 2: for governor California. Next minute, everybody in the staff, campaign management,
- 11:35Speaker 2: everybody quits. He was staying with this big billionaire donor
- 11:38Speaker 2: who gave him a million bucks. In fact, that video
- 11:41Speaker 2: he did done from the billionaire's house. His response these
- 11:45Speaker 2: allegations of sexual assault are flat false. They're absolutely false.
- 11:50Speaker 6: They did not happen, they have never happened, and I
- 11:52Speaker 6: will fight them with everything that I have.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Yeah, sounds good. Let me give you a quick update.
- 11:59Speaker 2: This get bain staff, the management, the campaign, manage, everybody quit,
- 12:02Speaker 2: walked out the billionaire with us. He recorded that in
- 12:05Speaker 2: his house. The billionaire just threw him out of his
- 12:07Speaker 2: house and is demanding his million dollars back. In Congress,
- 12:11Speaker 2: Republicans and Democrats are calling for his expulsion. He most
- 12:15Speaker 2: likely will be expelled from the House. They'll probably give
- 12:18Speaker 2: him a chance to resign first. Swalwell will have to
- 12:21Speaker 2: drop out. He suspended his campaign, but he will have
- 12:24Speaker 2: to leave the race. All of these attacks, rape, sexual harassment,
- 12:29Speaker 2: inappropriate behavior, all the different women, all these attacks all
- 12:33Speaker 2: came at once. One minute, he's doing great in the race.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Next minute all this hit the fan. Now, how did
- 12:39Speaker 2: all this happen, all these women, everything all at once. Well,
- 12:45Speaker 2: it's believed it was packaged and coordinated with a lot
- 12:49Speaker 2: of money behind it, some zillionaires. And it's believed it
- 12:54Speaker 2: came from the Democratic side, not from the Republican side.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Republicans didn't really fear him. The Democrats wanted him out,
- 13:02Speaker 2: wanted him gone, they wanted to get rid of him.
- 13:04Speaker 2: So somebody put this all together and unleashed it all
- 13:06Speaker 2: at once, at exactly the right moment. Now, who could
- 13:09Speaker 2: have done such a thing? Well, could could be a
- 13:11Speaker 2: cabal of Democratic donors. But remember also in that race,
- 13:15Speaker 2: he was running against the billionaire Tom Stier, that left
- 13:20Speaker 2: wing climate change kook, Tom Sutton Styre, and Styre is
- 13:25Speaker 2: not a good talker, he's a horrible campaigner. He couldn't
- 13:27Speaker 2: catch up to Swalwell. Swawel always had a big lead.
- 13:31Speaker 2: So I'm just saying it's possible it was Tom Steyer,
- 13:36Speaker 2: the billionaire, who helped organize this hit job. And I'm
- 13:40Speaker 2: not saying that Swalwell is not guilty of all this stuff.
- 13:43Speaker 2: I'm sure he is, but uh, it could have been.
- 13:46Speaker 2: It could have been the Stire, somebody else. Now, with
- 13:49Speaker 2: Swawell leaving the race, does that mean Tom Steyer moves up.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Not really, because he may have billions of dollars. Remember
- 13:55Speaker 2: he used to run those TV ads about climate change.
- 13:58Speaker 2: He can run all the ads he wants, he can,
- 14:00Speaker 2: But the more people get a look at him, and
- 14:01Speaker 2: listen to him. The more uncomfortable to get with him.
- 14:04Speaker 2: He's just an uncomfortable, awkward sort of a guy, and
- 14:07Speaker 2: he's just got that one issue, that climate change stuff.
- 14:09Speaker 2: So he's not much of a candidate. There's a couple
- 14:12Speaker 2: others they think will rise up, the San Diego mayor
- 14:15Speaker 2: and a few others. This is what in California. It's
- 14:18Speaker 2: called a jungle primary. It's not separate Democrat Republican. Everybody
- 14:21Speaker 2: just runs in one big primary. It's an absolute mess.
- 14:27Speaker 2: And Steve Hilton is the Republican candidate. Some people think
- 14:32Speaker 2: he's got a really good shot, only because if it
- 14:34Speaker 2: ends up being Tom Steyer, who can't talk, Hilton is
- 14:38Speaker 2: a great talker. The only problem is California is now
- 14:43Speaker 2: two thirds of it is Democratic. It's hard for Republican
- 14:46Speaker 2: to win. Used to be a balanced state. They used
- 14:48Speaker 2: to elect Republicans all the time. Ronald Reagan, Arnold Schwartznegger,
- 14:53Speaker 2: he used to always often elect Republicans. Not the case anymore.
- 14:57Speaker 2: It's been a one party state for years. So obviously
- 15:01Speaker 2: Hilton had eva very tough time, but he's got a
- 15:03Speaker 2: better shot than most Republicans. So they will call for
- 15:07Speaker 2: Swollwell to leave Congress. Even everybody, the major major major
- 15:13Speaker 2: major Democrats have all turned on him now, and even
- 15:17Speaker 2: Leader Hakim Jefferies has called on him to drop out,
- 15:20Speaker 2: and he's calling for a Senate investigation. Even his big
- 15:23Speaker 2: supporter Adam Schiff pulled his support. There's a lot of
- 15:27Speaker 2: other stuff with him. He was running for governor California.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Turns out that people investigating him were able to show
- 15:33Speaker 2: he doesn't even live in California. He doesn't have a
- 15:36Speaker 2: residence there. He got some good friends who owned a
- 15:38Speaker 2: little house to claim that they had rented a room
- 15:41Speaker 2: to him, But that looks like it wasn't true. So
- 15:44Speaker 2: he's finished. That's it. You won't see him anymore. Hey,
- 15:48Speaker 2: we'll take some calls in a minute. Eight hundred three
- 15:50Speaker 2: to two one zero seven ten is the number eight
- 15:54Speaker 2: hundred three to two one zero seven ten.
- 15:58Speaker 4: In Mark on Demand. He's setting a preset for his
- 16:01Speaker 4: podcast on the iHeart Radio app. Now back to Mark's
- 16:05Speaker 4: the Moon on woor.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 16:12Speaker 2: seven ten is the number. Let's go to Lynn in
- 16:14Speaker 2: New Jersey. Lynn, how you doing?
- 16:16Speaker 5: Hey?
- 16:17Speaker 8: Mark?
- 16:17Speaker 11: How are you just a quick question. I'm wondering why
- 16:20Speaker 11: we didn't follow Mondami's suggestion and rather than send vance
- 16:25Speaker 11: to negotiate with the Iranians, why didn't we send social workers?
- 16:28Speaker 2: Oh, there you go, that's a good thing. The social
- 16:31Speaker 2: worker she's referring to. Instead of a police showing up
- 16:35Speaker 2: in a domestic violence call, we'll send social workers. Now,
- 16:38Speaker 2: the problem with mom, Donnie's so young, and he doesn't
- 16:41Speaker 2: know his history. And in fact, you know, the guy's
- 16:44Speaker 2: a great talker. Boy, he's powerful speaker, but doesn't seem
- 16:49Speaker 2: to do any homework er, study anything. You know how
- 16:51Speaker 2: shocked he was that we're going to have this budget
- 16:53Speaker 2: deficit of seven billion, while he couldn't believe it. Once
- 16:58Speaker 2: you go back about a year we announced we had
- 17:00Speaker 2: we're gonna have it. Eric Adams made a whole speech
- 17:02Speaker 2: announcing it. So apparently I'm Donnie does no homework. Also,
- 17:05Speaker 2: the social workers answering domestic violence calls, which are the
- 17:09Speaker 2: most dangerous calls to police officers respond to. We've tried
- 17:13Speaker 2: this program three times in the past. It doesn't work.
- 17:16Speaker 2: In fact, the social workers get nimed, shot killed. So
- 17:21Speaker 2: he doesn't do any homework. So let's go to Bill
- 17:25Speaker 2: in Pennsylvania. Bill, how you doing, I'm Mark. Oh, it's
- 17:29Speaker 2: happy hour, it's Bill.
- 17:31Speaker 5: Well, you know I've got to stop drap.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Amish Foster Brooks. Go ahead.
- 17:39Speaker 10: Uh, I'm you know this Italian drink called grapa, Yes,
- 17:44Speaker 10: uh you know, I mean it's poison.
- 17:48Speaker 2: On Saturday, I finally if I had a drink you
- 17:50Speaker 2: don't like. You had some groppa and you didn't like it.
- 17:53Speaker 3: Okay, it's two I was two shots and away on
- 17:56Speaker 3: Saturday of getting a butt tattoo of Joe PESHI.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Yeah, well you know that happened. I don't think your
- 18:04Speaker 2: butt's going to have a lot of viewers. I wouldn't
- 18:06Speaker 2: worry about the tattoo. Who's going to see it? Even
- 18:07Speaker 2: you can't see it.
- 18:10Speaker 5: Well, thanks for the compliment.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Yeah, you're welcome anytime. Thanks for calling. Let's go to
- 18:15Speaker 2: Mike in Florida. Mike, how you doing, Good morning, Mark? Yes, Mike.
- 18:20Speaker 10: Yeah, you know this accusation that he was you know,
- 18:24Speaker 10: raping his staff didn't happen yesterday. They knew about it
- 18:28Speaker 10: seven years ago when he was going after the president,
- 18:32Speaker 10: President Trump, you know, impeaching him every other week. So
- 18:36Speaker 10: you have to wonder, like why he fell into disfavor
- 18:40Speaker 10: all of a sudden.
- 18:43Speaker 2: You're absolutely right. They all knew about his shenanigans, or
- 18:47Speaker 2: they were hearing about it all the time, and they
- 18:50Speaker 2: kept it quiet. As I say, somebody put this all together,
- 18:54Speaker 2: packaged it up, and they wanted him gone, and somebody
- 18:58Speaker 2: unleashed this all once there's a billionaire running against some
- 19:02Speaker 2: Tom's tyre. Anytime you see a rough, tough billionaire like that,
- 19:06Speaker 2: he's chief suspect. But somebody like that put this together,
- 19:10Speaker 2: Absolutely right, Mike, they knew about it. Here's the former
- 19:13Speaker 2: Speaker of the House.
- 19:13Speaker 12: And remember in Congress knows not to not to let
- 19:17Speaker 12: any young staffer get around Swallow or Matt Gates. It's
- 19:22Speaker 12: not a secret there. There's a reason why you didn't
- 19:25Speaker 12: want those two people around him.
- 19:26Speaker 2: They all knew it even back then. Let's go to
- 19:29Speaker 2: Jay in New Jersey. Jay, how you doing, ay Mark?
- 19:33Speaker 10: You know, well, why didn't they kick out Swallwell, you know,
- 19:36Speaker 10: like Peter George Santos, he's far worse.
- 19:39Speaker 5: You know, George Santo's only lies.
- 19:41Speaker 10: And you know this lady that stole a tucks from
- 19:44Speaker 10: the Florida, she's still there too.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, I like to hear. Santos is a he's
- 19:49Speaker 2: a cute guy, but he was stealing money from donors
- 19:53Speaker 2: and there were financial, you know, crimes that took place.
- 19:56Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, had to get rid of him. Let's
- 19:58Speaker 2: go to Vincent and Brooklyn and Vincent. How you doing.
- 20:01Speaker 8: Good morning, Mark, Good morning Barra.
- 20:03Speaker 5: Mark.
- 20:03Speaker 8: This is to all our friends in the Blue States
- 20:07Speaker 8: who are complaining about a gas increase of fifty cents
- 20:11Speaker 8: of seventy five cents, mainly in the Blue The Blue
- 20:15Speaker 8: robber states, Well, I talked to my man yesterday in Italy,
- 20:19Speaker 8: and as you pointed out, when you.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Say you're a man in Italy, I hate to ask,
- 20:23Speaker 2: what does that mean? What does he do?
- 20:25Speaker 8: He's my buddy, man, He's my buddy. So anyway, he
- 20:31Speaker 8: was talking about the gas price, and as you pointed out,
- 20:34Speaker 8: Europe is totally dependent on it. Well, we complained about
- 20:37Speaker 8: a fifty cents increase and every day and that varies
- 20:41Speaker 8: from state to state. Well, in Italy, it does it
- 20:43Speaker 8: throughout the whole country, even though they have different provinces.
- 20:48Speaker 8: You can't raise the gas over a certain price, and
- 20:51Speaker 8: you can't lower it. Maybe there's a couple of pennies
- 20:54Speaker 8: difference between one gas station another. That's all they are paying.
- 21:00Speaker 8: And they go by leaders. One euro eighty one cents
- 21:05Speaker 8: per leader, which is seven euros and twenty four cents
- 21:10Speaker 8: per gallon. In fact, when I gas up, when I'm
- 21:13Speaker 8: in Italy, the gas the gas pompos t used second gardenos.
- 21:19Speaker 8: It's so smart because only leaders are coming out of there,
- 21:23Speaker 8: not gallons. But for all of you people in the
- 21:26Speaker 8: country are complaining about this temporary spike, think of that
- 21:30Speaker 8: seven euros and twenty four cents and right now the
- 21:34Speaker 8: euros worth more than the dollar. And as far as
- 21:37Speaker 8: Pope Leo goes Pope Francis, before he left office, before
- 21:42Speaker 8: he groked, he made sure he installed eighty left wing cardinals,
- 21:49Speaker 8: new cardinals from his pool. They're all leftists like him.
- 21:54Speaker 8: Pope Leo was one of them because he knew when
- 21:58Speaker 8: he groked, he wanted a leftist into Papercy just like him.
- 22:03Speaker 8: So that's where all of this.
- 22:05Speaker 2: That's not good, Vincent, great call, thanks for calling. We
- 22:07Speaker 2: got one of those left wing's, not a cardinal yet,
- 22:10Speaker 2: but we got one of those left wing archbishops here
- 22:12Speaker 2: in New York. We're running things now. Yeah, you may
- 22:15Speaker 2: I realize, all around the world, everybody's paying eight dollars
- 22:17Speaker 2: a gallon for gas. They've been doing it all along.
- 22:20Speaker 2: They're used to it. Now we don't have to We
- 22:22Speaker 2: don't have to raise gas prices here. We produce all
- 22:24Speaker 2: our own gas. We don't have to go by the
- 22:26Speaker 2: world price. You could order the oil companies to put
- 22:29Speaker 2: the gas price back down, and they could do it
- 22:31Speaker 2: and it wouldn't affect them. But if you do that,
- 22:34Speaker 2: they'll just start producing less and that will drive up
- 22:37Speaker 2: the price. So that's the little game. Hey, when we
- 22:39Speaker 2: come back, Michael Goodwin, the greatest columnist in America. We'll
- 22:43Speaker 2: talk to him next on seven to ten WR no.
- 22:47Speaker 4: More Marks alone on seventeen WR.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Well, Michael Goodwin, the best columnist in America. You can
- 22:56Speaker 2: read his column every Sunday and every Wednesday in the
- 22:58Speaker 2: New York Post. If you go to New York Post website,
- 23:01Speaker 2: all of his columns are up there. And he's with
- 23:03Speaker 2: us now. Michael Goodwin, how you doing, Good morning, Mark,
- 23:07Speaker 2: Thank you great column yesterday. The headline is the New
- 23:11Speaker 2: York Times hate filled agenda drags on. And let's point
- 23:15Speaker 2: out you worked at the New York Times when it
- 23:18Speaker 2: was the real New York Times. What the hell happened
- 23:20Speaker 2: over there to that place?
- 23:21Speaker 7: Yeah, I like to say I did my undergraduate work there,
- 23:26Speaker 7: but I got my BA and moved on. But look,
- 23:30Speaker 7: it is this particular story. I mean, The Times has
- 23:34Speaker 7: lost its way for a very long time, but this
- 23:38Speaker 7: particular story I think is borderline dangerous because what it
- 23:44Speaker 7: tries to do is paint Donald Trump as something of
- 23:49Speaker 7: a stooge to Benjamin Netan Yahoo. That nating Yahoo came
- 23:56Speaker 7: into the situation room with his staff, and the President's
- 24:00Speaker 7: national security team was there, and they just Times described
- 24:06Speaker 7: in great detail what it calls Netanyahu's hard sell to
- 24:12Speaker 7: go to war with Israel against Iran. And you know, Mike,
- 24:17Speaker 7: it's the situation room is supposedly secret, top secret, and
- 24:22Speaker 7: yet there are lots of quotations in the articles from
- 24:26Speaker 7: the president's cabidate and even the President himself. So somebody
- 24:31Speaker 7: in that room is leaking these secret deliberations. I don't
- 24:36Speaker 7: know who.
- 24:37Speaker 8: The Times doesn't.
- 24:38Speaker 7: Say, but it quotes very has very long quotations which
- 24:44Speaker 7: could only have come, if they're accurate, from somebody in
- 24:48Speaker 7: the room. I think a criminal investigation is warranted.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Yeah, but this is New York Times, though you know,
- 24:55Speaker 2: for four years they're writing articles, but he doesn't listen.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Trump won't listen. He doesn't listen listening the article is
- 25:01Speaker 2: all he does is listen to Yeah.
- 25:03Speaker 7: Yeah, that's right, that's right. And look, it's part of
- 25:07Speaker 7: this larger picture of the anti Semitism spreading, blaming Israel
- 25:13Speaker 7: for the war, when, as I point out, what the
- 25:17Speaker 7: story doesn't talk about it at all, is how Trump
- 25:20Speaker 7: has been on a decade long quest to stop Iran
- 25:25Speaker 7: from getting a nuclear weapon. He has been entirely consistent
- 25:30Speaker 7: about that from ten years ago until yesterday. He has
- 25:34Speaker 7: always said, we cannot let them have a nuclear weapon.
- 25:38Speaker 7: They are the world's single largest exporter of terrorism. So
- 25:43Speaker 7: he's talked about Hamas Hezbela, and so none of those
- 25:47Speaker 7: groups make an appearance in this time story, as though
- 25:52Speaker 7: Israel has no real legitimate reason to go to Iran,
- 25:57Speaker 7: go to war with Iran, and therefore non dates, he
- 26:01Speaker 7: hasn't even less legit memories, and so President Trump has
- 26:05Speaker 7: a hoodwinked by data yahoo. I mean, it's just it's
- 26:10Speaker 7: a scandalous idea to start with, but to paint it
- 26:14Speaker 7: as a result of that meeting, and he just ignores
- 26:18Speaker 7: the trail of history.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Yeah, a slight correction. He's been saying for forty years
- 26:24Speaker 2: that if he were president he would go after a rent.
- 26:26Speaker 2: In fact, the oldest interview where he said it was
- 26:28Speaker 2: forty six years ago, so right.
- 26:31Speaker 7: Right after the Iotolis came to Baler in nineteen seventy nine.
- 26:37Speaker 7: But this issue of a nuclear weapons goes to the
- 26:42Speaker 7: top of the list, beyond anything else Iran has done.
- 26:47Speaker 7: If it were to have a nuclear weapon has made
- 26:50Speaker 7: it clear it would use it first on Israel and
- 26:54Speaker 7: probably on the United States if it gets the missile
- 26:57Speaker 7: system so it can deliver a nuclear warhead on the
- 27:02Speaker 7: east coasts of the United States. That's what it says
- 27:05Speaker 7: it will do.
- 27:07Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, for years, politicians, actually both sides, they've
- 27:11Speaker 2: had these promises, a handful of promises they make every campaign.
- 27:15Speaker 2: I'll end their dependence on foreign oil. Right Trump did it.
- 27:19Speaker 2: He wiped out this promise, they can't use it anymore.
- 27:22Speaker 2: And the other one was I'll take care of he
- 27:24Speaker 2: ran out disarmament. Well, now he took that one off
- 27:27Speaker 2: the table. Is that why they're getting so mad they're
- 27:29Speaker 2: losing their campaign promises?
- 27:31Speaker 7: Right, and what would they do. I mean they when
- 27:34Speaker 7: you listen to the New York Times and or the
- 27:37Speaker 7: demograt Party, same thing. They have this full of criticism,
- 27:43Speaker 7: but they never give you an alternative vision. How do
- 27:47Speaker 7: you drive down gasoline prices if you won't drill for oil,
- 27:52Speaker 7: if you won't make the United States energy independent as
- 27:56Speaker 7: Trump has done, what would their answer be? All more
- 28:00Speaker 7: electric cards?
- 28:01Speaker 8: I guess.
- 28:01Speaker 7: I mean the green climate stuff that has driven up
- 28:06Speaker 7: the cost of energy everywhere. I mean, and they talk
- 28:10Speaker 7: about inflation, they talk about New York being unaffordable. Whether
- 28:16Speaker 7: green climate things are one of the reasons why New
- 28:20Speaker 7: York has become unaffordable. Any state that has adopted that
- 28:25Speaker 7: sort of stuff has gotten more extensive. So Democrats don't
- 28:30Speaker 7: have a coherent alternative idea.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Everybody read the Michael Goodwin's Calm from yesterday, very very
- 28:37Speaker 2: good coming. But again, what happened in New York Times
- 28:39Speaker 2: in the good old days. The Arthur Gelbs, the Max
- 28:43Speaker 2: whatever his.
- 28:43Speaker 7: Name was, Dake Frankel Abrosenthal was the Dean of the Laws.
- 28:50Speaker 7: At the same time, we're very straight line Americans. They
- 28:55Speaker 7: were not partisans. They were American first, and that's what's changed.
- 29:01Speaker 7: The New York Times is now run by progressive Democrats,
- 29:05Speaker 7: and they all walk in lockstep with the Democratic Party.
- 29:10Speaker 7: If you just look at the headlines on any given day,
- 29:15Speaker 7: they'll talk about experts. Worry, who are the experts, right,
- 29:20Speaker 7: the Ivy League professors or the experts always. I mean,
- 29:25Speaker 7: that's who the readership is aimed at. And that's the
- 29:30Speaker 7: way that they think that there's one way to look
- 29:33Speaker 7: at the world, and it's our way.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Yeah, although I should point out the Times traditionally, historically
- 29:40Speaker 2: has always been anti israel an anti Jewish, going back
- 29:44Speaker 2: to World War Two. Why is that?
- 29:48Speaker 7: I don't I don't know it has again, I can
- 29:53Speaker 7: only think that I know that there have been battles
- 29:57Speaker 7: within over this, but all to midlely, they have taken
- 30:01Speaker 7: this very kind of worldly view about, you know, the
- 30:07Speaker 7: way to look at the global map, and it has
- 30:10Speaker 7: always been a kind of Harvard or Ivy League idea
- 30:16Speaker 7: of how the world works, what politics is really about.
- 30:20Speaker 7: They've always looked looked down their nose at politics. They
- 30:24Speaker 7: find it a grimy, dirty profession and so they don't
- 30:29Speaker 7: really have respect for ideas that don't match their own.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Yeah, well it was did you hear President Trump the
- 30:38Speaker 2: other day. Go after the New York Times. How it
- 30:40Speaker 2: used to be the paper Record, it used to be
- 30:42Speaker 2: the Lady.
- 30:43Speaker 9: Yeah it was.
- 30:44Speaker 7: It was. I mean, as I say, I got my
- 30:46Speaker 7: first training there and it was great. And I still
- 30:50Speaker 7: look back on that New York Times as the real
- 30:53Speaker 7: New York Times.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Well, it's a great column. You can read Michael Goodwin's column.
- 30:58Speaker 2: It's at the New York Post website. All of the
- 31:00Speaker 2: columns are up there, and this column is every Sunday
- 31:03Speaker 2: and every Wednesday in the New York Post. Michael Goodwin
- 31:06Speaker 2: great is always. Thanks for being with us.
- 31:09Speaker 8: Thank you, Mark, Probably take care.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Hey, it's gonna be a nice, warm day. You know,
- 31:13Speaker 2: this whole week's gonna be warm. It's gonna hit over
- 31:16Speaker 2: eighty five, maybe even ninety middle of the week, but
- 31:20Speaker 2: it's gonna be a great day. So coming up at noon,
- 31:22Speaker 2: don't forget Buck Sexton, Clay Travis excellent show every day
- 31:26Speaker 2: noon to three. Then you got the most listened to
- 31:30Speaker 2: radio show in America. Sean Hannity at three, Jesse Kelly
- 31:34Speaker 2: at six, and have you heard Jimmy Fail If you haven't,
- 31:37Speaker 2: it's a really good show. It's very funny. It's every
- 31:40Speaker 2: night nine to midnights here on seven ten WR.
- 31:44Speaker 3: The Mark Simone Show continues on sevent tenor.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Hey, hey, look who popped up out of nowhere? Nicki Haley.
- 31:56Speaker 2: You remember that name, Nicki Haley. She was a presidential
- 31:59Speaker 2: candidate a couple of times. Trump couldn't stand her. Nobody
- 32:03Speaker 2: could stand her. She was an awful woman behind the scenes, lying, scheming.
- 32:07Speaker 2: Everybody that worked in the White House confirming worst person
- 32:10Speaker 2: they ever worked with. Why did Trump give her a job?
- 32:16Speaker 2: The lieutenant governor of South Carolina. He owed this guy
- 32:19Speaker 2: a lot. He said to him, you can have any job,
- 32:21Speaker 2: whatever job you want in the administration. And he said,
- 32:25Speaker 2: I really don't want to come to Washington. I'd like
- 32:26Speaker 2: to be the governor of South Carolina. If you could
- 32:28Speaker 2: get Nicki Haley out of here, that would be great.
- 32:30Speaker 2: So Trump said, yeah, I have a job. I could
- 32:33Speaker 2: dump her in. You an ambassador's meaningless job doesn't mean anything.
- 32:37Speaker 2: He threw her in there. They finally had to get
- 32:39Speaker 2: rid of eating from that, because you'd run around the
- 32:40Speaker 2: White House lying and scheming, and everybody you talk to,
- 32:44Speaker 2: every cabinet member, everybody that worked there, they'll tell you
- 32:47Speaker 2: a nightmare horror stories about Nicki Haley. When Trump got
- 32:50Speaker 2: elected the second time, remember, he quickly put out a
- 32:54Speaker 2: statement saying Nicki Haley will have no role in this administration. So,
- 33:00Speaker 2: because she's ostracized completely by everybody that ever knew her,
- 33:05Speaker 2: she bashes Trump. And because she's bashing Trump, they love
- 33:07Speaker 2: to talk to her. So the CNN Sunday Show there
- 33:10Speaker 2: was Nicky Haley saying Trump is causing chaos distractions, and
- 33:16Speaker 2: they never point out when it's an enemy of Trump,
- 33:19Speaker 2: a fired enemy of Trump, a former disgruntled employe. They
- 33:22Speaker 2: never put that out and they just put them online
- 33:25Speaker 2: as if there some sort of expert on all of this.
- 33:28Speaker 2: We'll talk more about those Sunday shows when we come back.
- 33:30Speaker 2: It's gonna be a nice, warm day to day. Weather's
- 33:33Speaker 2: going to be great all week. Hey, don't forget if
- 33:36Speaker 2: you can't listen live ten to noon, get the podcast
- 33:39Speaker 2: that we can listen to the show anytime you want,
- 33:41Speaker 2: day or night. And there's also an extra show for
- 33:43Speaker 2: podcasts listening to, a bonus show back right after the
- 33:46Speaker 2: news here on seven to ten WR it's.
- 33:50Speaker 9: The Marks among show on seven tenor.
- 33:58Speaker 2: Well, Hey, a nice warm day, seventies eighties, all this week.
- 34:02Speaker 2: That's great news. A lot to get to this hour.
- 34:05Speaker 2: So the blockade is now underway. We are now controlling
- 34:10Speaker 2: the Straits of horn Moose. US has blockaded it. It
- 34:13Speaker 2: will be strictly enforced now. A lot of experts on
- 34:19Speaker 2: this who've been watching this carefully are a little surprised
- 34:23Speaker 2: that Iran miscalculated this badly. The uh, you know, war
- 34:30Speaker 2: is not about the Straits of horn Moose. Having it
- 34:32Speaker 2: closed doesn't affect us in any way. We don't get
- 34:34Speaker 2: any oil from there. It completely completely screws up Iran.
- 34:37Speaker 2: It's their only source of revenue, and it seriously hurts
- 34:40Speaker 2: China because they depend on oil from the Straits of
- 34:43Speaker 2: horn Moose. But it was a bargaining chip in the
- 34:46Speaker 2: United States, bargaining for all kinds of things. And the
- 34:49Speaker 2: one thing, or you know, when Trump says they have
- 34:52Speaker 2: no cards, the only card they had was they've got
- 34:55Speaker 2: the Straits o hor Moose closed. Now. The only thing
- 34:57Speaker 2: is we could open it anytime we want milit tarily.
- 35:00Speaker 2: The plan to open it is pretty simple, straightforward. Every
- 35:03Speaker 2: general that's looked at it said it's a perfect plan,
- 35:07Speaker 2: one hundred percent success. Rate on it, sent Colm anytime
- 35:10Speaker 2: they want to open hor Moose can So why this, why,
- 35:13Speaker 2: all of a sudden, why does the Trump administration announce
- 35:16Speaker 2: they're closing it, they're blockading it. What this is a
- 35:19Speaker 2: lot of people have pointed out this is the biker
- 35:23Speaker 2: scene from a Bronx tale. You remember when he kept
- 35:27Speaker 2: telling them bikers to leave the bar, leave the bar,
- 35:29Speaker 2: and then finally remember he locked the door and he goes,
- 35:32Speaker 2: now you just can't leave. That's basically what this is.
- 35:36Speaker 2: And you remember that scene where it showed the bikers'
- 35:39Speaker 2: faces and all of a sudden they realized they've made
- 35:43Speaker 2: a huge mistake. So now Iran And again people can't
- 35:47Speaker 2: believe they miscalculated this. They're starting to realize they've made
- 35:50Speaker 2: a huge mistake.
- 35:51Speaker 5: Here.
- 35:51Speaker 2: We now control the straits of hor Moose. US Navy
- 35:54Speaker 2: warships have been traveling through the straits over the weekend.
- 35:58Speaker 2: There's nothing really Iran and do to those big US warships.
- 36:03Speaker 2: They are perfectly capable of defending themselves. If they could
- 36:06Speaker 2: hit one of those ships, they would have done so
- 36:09Speaker 2: in the last four or five weeks. They just can't
- 36:11Speaker 2: do it. Too many defense systems on those ships. Now
- 36:15Speaker 2: we've taken out their navy. It's completely gone. They do
- 36:18Speaker 2: have what they're calling the fast boats, the little tiny
- 36:21Speaker 2: fast ships. They can put a ton of explosives on
- 36:24Speaker 2: a fast ship and just shoot it across the water.
- 36:28Speaker 2: President Trump now saying, they're they didn't take out all
- 36:30Speaker 2: those ships before. It's a small number of them, but
- 36:32Speaker 2: we didn't hit them, just didn't consider them much of
- 36:35Speaker 2: a threat. But he said, now we're going to take
- 36:37Speaker 2: out all those ships. Just get rid of all of them.
- 36:39Speaker 2: We have very sophisticated mind sweeping technology. We will get
- 36:45Speaker 2: all the mines off the floor there of the straits
- 36:48Speaker 2: of horn Moose. We also have all kinds of new
- 36:50Speaker 2: mind detection. We have underwater drones, all sorts of SIMP systems.
- 36:55Speaker 2: One thing you've noticed in the last year, whether it's
- 36:58Speaker 2: Venezuela or all of suddenly unveiled these new weapons nobody
- 37:02Speaker 2: knew about. And you're going to see that here. So
- 37:04Speaker 2: the Straits of Hormus is now under US control, and
- 37:09Speaker 2: we'll see what We'll see what Iran does for the
- 37:11Speaker 2: rest of the day. President Trump mar a Lago yesterday.
- 37:17Speaker 2: Now it was quite a weekend. Saturday went to Miami
- 37:19Speaker 2: for the UFC fight, where he got an enormous standing
- 37:23Speaker 2: ovation from the crowd. Ultimate fighting UFC not something democrats enjoy.
- 37:30Speaker 2: This is not a Democrat activity. The crowd loves Trump.
- 37:35Speaker 2: He cheered them, we walked in, we had the whole
- 37:38Speaker 2: family with him, went over to say hello to Joe Rogan,
- 37:41Speaker 2: who he saw there. Then Sunday it was mar A Lago,
- 37:44Speaker 2: so he went from UFC ultra fighting Joe Rogan to
- 37:48Speaker 2: the mar A Lago crowd. How we yield that crowd
- 37:52Speaker 2: All of a sudden and surprise visitor yesterday at mar
- 37:55Speaker 2: A Lago was Ron DeSantis and his wife Trump meet
- 38:00Speaker 2: him on the golf course. DeSantis I don't think played golf.
- 38:02Speaker 2: He's not not really a golfer and certainly not good
- 38:06Speaker 2: enough to play a game with Trump. But he did
- 38:09Speaker 2: spend the day with President Trump. They had lunched together.
- 38:14Speaker 2: Nobody knows what that was all about. DeSantis is out
- 38:17Speaker 2: of office at the end of the year. It's his
- 38:19Speaker 2: second term. He's term limited out, nobody's gonna Nobody knows
- 38:22Speaker 2: what he's gonna do next. He's been a great governor
- 38:26Speaker 2: of Florida, just absolutely brilliant as governor of Florida. Other
- 38:31Speaker 2: than that, he's got a lot of problems. His personality
- 38:34Speaker 2: the biggest one of all. He has managed to alienate
- 38:38Speaker 2: just about everybody behind the scenes. He's and again I
- 38:42Speaker 2: don't know why, but he's one of the nastiest, rudest
- 38:45Speaker 2: guys in private, with people in the party, with people,
- 38:51Speaker 2: you know, donors, Even the donors, his biggest donors will
- 38:54Speaker 2: tell you how cold and rude he is to them. Again,
- 38:57Speaker 2: I can't explain why. I have absolutely no idea why.
- 39:01Speaker 2: So what's he going to do next? I don't know.
- 39:03Speaker 2: Before he was governor, he was a very undistinguished congressman.
- 39:09Speaker 2: As Roger Stone said, what do you say, an undistinguished
- 39:13Speaker 2: congressman in a bad suit? That's what he was before office.
- 39:18Speaker 2: So how did he become governor Florida? Donald Trump made
- 39:20Speaker 2: him governor Donald Trump. There were a bunch of people running.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Donald Trump took him from obscurity, promoted him, endorsed him,
- 39:27Speaker 2: and got him elected as governor. He should be very
- 39:32Speaker 2: grateful to Donald Trump. But again, he's not a nice
- 39:35Speaker 2: guy behind the scenes. Now here's one of the things
- 39:37Speaker 2: that really really irked Trump. Remember the mar Alago raid.
- 39:42Speaker 2: The FBI raided mar A Lago, went through everything, went
- 39:45Speaker 2: through Baron's room, went through Malanya's underwearge for everything. Ron DeSantis,
- 39:51Speaker 2: the governor, was tipped off about the FBI raid way
- 39:54Speaker 2: ahead of time and never told Donald Trump. Never told
- 40:00Speaker 2: I never told his mentor, his benefact never told him.
- 40:04Speaker 2: Trump got elected despite all the law fair all the
- 40:08Speaker 2: attempts to Trump got elected. Behind the scenes, Ron DeSantis
- 40:13Speaker 2: begged and begged to be attorney general. But again, nasty
- 40:18Speaker 2: guy behind the scenes. Trump would never trust him in
- 40:20Speaker 2: that kind of role, so he said, he just said
- 40:24Speaker 2: no way, and that was the end of that. What's
- 40:26Speaker 2: he going to do after this? I don't know. He's
- 40:28Speaker 2: a very ambitious wife. She's the one always pushing him.
- 40:32Speaker 2: So we'll see. Hey, mom, Donnie celebrated one hundred days,
- 40:38Speaker 2: and that's been a benchmark that they used for a
- 40:41Speaker 2: lot of politicians of the first hundred days. You look back,
- 40:44Speaker 2: what did you accomplish during the first hundred days? Nobody knows.
- 40:48Speaker 2: He had all these promises and he had a big speech.
- 40:52Speaker 2: He's a hell of a speaker. I guess that's what
- 40:54Speaker 2: he accomplished. He made some good videos, he made some
- 40:56Speaker 2: great speeches. So he held one hundred days celebration at
- 41:02Speaker 2: this big center in Queen's. Bernie Sanders showed up. That
- 41:05Speaker 2: was the one dignitary Bernie Sanders, So he spoke about
- 41:09Speaker 2: his first one hundred days. There's no real accomplishment, but
- 41:11Speaker 2: he's a hell of a speaker, so he made up
- 41:12Speaker 2: a bunch of things. It sounded okay.
- 41:15Speaker 13: Since we took office, murderers have hit record lows. There
- 41:19Speaker 13: has not been a murder on Staten Island in more
- 41:21Speaker 13: than one hundred.
- 41:22Speaker 4: And eighty days. Crime in our city is down there
- 41:28Speaker 4: you go.
- 41:31Speaker 2: Actually, crime is way up here in a lot of categories.
- 41:34Speaker 2: You won't get murdered. But subway crime is up, robbery
- 41:37Speaker 2: is up, felony stuff is up, cards, theft, A lot
- 41:40Speaker 2: of stuff is up. But you forgot to mention that.
- 41:43Speaker 2: Here's more.
- 41:44Speaker 13: No longer can someone charge you a hidden fee for
- 41:46Speaker 13: the hotel you book, or make it impossible to cancel
- 41:49Speaker 13: a gym membership. As we set the global standard for
- 41:54Speaker 13: protecting consumers, we will also ensure that New York City
- 41:58Speaker 13: remains the global center of business. We want to build
- 42:02Speaker 13: the strongest economy that our five boroughs have ever seen.
- 42:06Speaker 2: Well, you got to admit those are impressive. Impressive accomplishments.
- 42:09Speaker 13: No longer can someone charge you a hidden fee for
- 42:12Speaker 13: the hotel you book, But.
- 42:15Speaker 2: We all live here, We're not staying in a hotel.
- 42:16Speaker 2: How does that help us. It's great that get me
- 42:18Speaker 2: into the hidden fee, but we live here. We don't
- 42:21Speaker 2: need that. You're supposed to be helping the people that
- 42:23Speaker 2: live here. What was the other accomplishment?
- 42:25Speaker 4: Make it impossible to cancel a gym membership?
- 42:28Speaker 2: Was this a big problem? Do you know anybody had
- 42:30Speaker 2: their gym membership canceled? Is that an issue? But do
- 42:35Speaker 2: you see here a lot of that in the campaign.
- 42:37Speaker 2: How many times do somebody said, I can't believe they
- 42:39Speaker 2: canceled my team membership. It's the opposite problem. You You
- 42:42Speaker 2: can't cancel your gym membership. You ever try to cancel,
- 42:46Speaker 2: They beg you to stay, They charge your credit card.
- 42:48Speaker 2: You didn't realize you signed up for automatic renewal. They
- 42:51Speaker 2: get you know, it's like trying to get rid of
- 42:53Speaker 2: serious radio. You can't do it. Go go call them,
- 42:55Speaker 2: say you want to get rid of it. They'll give
- 42:57Speaker 2: you a lower price. That tell no, I don't want
- 42:59Speaker 2: to I don't care what your prices. They'll give you
- 43:01Speaker 2: a lower price. Seventeen dollars a month. You try to cancel, Okay,
- 43:05Speaker 2: we'll give you fifteen. I don't want it. I'm telling you,
- 43:07Speaker 2: I just want to cancel.
- 43:09Speaker 5: My guy.
- 43:09Speaker 2: All right, we'll give you twelve. I don't care what
- 43:12Speaker 2: the price is. I just want to cancel. We'll give
- 43:14Speaker 2: it to you for six a month. Really, you can't
- 43:19Speaker 2: get rid of It's the same thing with the gym membership.
- 43:22Speaker 2: Go stand what's up gym? Right there, there's lifetime fitness
- 43:25Speaker 2: right next to us, right next to go stand outside
- 43:28Speaker 2: and see if this people coming out crying to cancel
- 43:31Speaker 2: my membership. So I don't know what the hell he's
- 43:33Speaker 2: talking about. Now, what about the stuff he promised the
- 43:36Speaker 2: grocery stores? What happened to the free grocery years? The
- 43:39Speaker 2: government grocery.
- 43:40Speaker 1: Store, the same market that Fierro LaGuardia opened in nineteen
- 43:44Speaker 1: thirty six, so working people then could save money on
- 43:50Speaker 1: fruits and vegetables.
- 43:52Speaker 4: We will continue his legacy.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Now everything sounds great. Everything sounds great, government grocery store.
- 43:59Speaker 2: You'll have a fortune. Well, the problem is, first of all,
- 44:04Speaker 2: there's really no markup in the grocery stores. You know,
- 44:07Speaker 2: profit margin when they sell something, the profit on it
- 44:10Speaker 2: is like twenty percent or up to forty percent, somewhere
- 44:13Speaker 2: around twenty thirty percent. That's your profit margin. You know,
- 44:16Speaker 2: in the grocery business, it's one percent. That's why most
- 44:20Speaker 2: of the grocery stores are going away. You can't exist.
- 44:23Speaker 2: And if you run a grocery store, you know, if
- 44:26Speaker 2: you're Cristidis, if you're a whole food, you gotta be
- 44:29Speaker 2: a genius at running that business. To operate on a
- 44:31Speaker 2: one percent profit might be like no room for air.
- 44:35Speaker 2: I think it's one and a half percent maybe, but
- 44:38Speaker 2: so they're not really gouging anybody. So Mamdani came up
- 44:42Speaker 2: with a plan, one government grocery store in each borough,
- 44:47Speaker 2: five of them now, the first of all, the first
- 44:50Speaker 2: one in Manhattan. It's a government space in East Harlem.
- 44:54Speaker 2: That's great. But if it's a government grocery, let's say
- 44:57Speaker 2: you live in the village. Let's say do you live
- 45:00Speaker 2: in Tribeca. Let's see. I mean, who's going to go
- 45:02Speaker 2: to East Harlem? You know how far that is? Do
- 45:04Speaker 2: you know anybody? It drives like to the other end
- 45:06Speaker 2: of the county to get to get their groceries. No,
- 45:10Speaker 2: you need a neighborhood grocery store, so I don't know
- 45:11Speaker 2: what that does. He also said it would cost seventy
- 45:14Speaker 2: seven h seventy million for the five grocery stores. Well,
- 45:19Speaker 2: he announced the first one he's going to open to
- 45:21Speaker 2: be the East Harlem it's going to cost thirty million.
- 45:25Speaker 2: Well wait a minute. I'm not a math genius, but
- 45:28Speaker 2: you said you'd do five for seventy So if this
- 45:31Speaker 2: one's cost him thirty that means the real price is
- 45:33Speaker 2: one hundred and fifty million. And since it's the government
- 45:37Speaker 2: doing it, which always means cost overruns, that means it's
- 45:40Speaker 2: going to be three hundred million.
- 45:42Speaker 8: And uh.
- 45:45Speaker 2: Now look at this. They're not going to open till
- 45:46Speaker 2: twenty twenty nine. This is why you don't want the
- 45:50Speaker 2: government doing anything. As soon as the government got into healthcare,
- 45:54Speaker 2: all of a sudden, it was a total mess. It's
- 45:55Speaker 2: a total disaster. You ever go to the motor vehicle
- 45:58Speaker 2: department and wait in line three hours? Can you I
- 46:00Speaker 2: mentione buying your groceries that way? So twenty twenty nine
- 46:04Speaker 2: they'll get these open. Now, if you got tick my
- 46:08Speaker 2: friend John Katz and matitis He's an absolute expert in
- 46:11Speaker 2: how to create a grocery store. He's got hundreds of them,
- 46:15Speaker 2: probably the biggest expert in the city how to create
- 46:17Speaker 2: a grocery store. I guarantee if we said to him,
- 46:19Speaker 2: here's a piece of land in East Harlem, how soon
- 46:22Speaker 2: can you get a grocery store up there, he'd probably
- 46:25Speaker 2: tell you three months. If I really rushed two months,
- 46:30Speaker 2: I guarantee you, he wouldn't say, well, I can't get
- 46:32Speaker 2: it open un till twenty twenty nine. Three years now,
- 46:37Speaker 2: it wouldn't take three years. So that's the other problem
- 46:40Speaker 2: with the government trying to do anything. It's a total
- 46:42Speaker 2: total disaster whenever they attempt to do anything. Hey, this,
- 46:48Speaker 2: I don't even understand this shit. Do we even know this?
- 46:51Speaker 2: Chick fil A shooting? Chick fil A is a great place,
- 46:54Speaker 2: great chicken in New Jersey. At the Chick fil A,
- 46:57Speaker 2: A whole bunch of guys go in there and start
- 46:59Speaker 2: shooting up the whole place. Do we still haven't figured
- 47:03Speaker 2: out why it was a war zone in there. People
- 47:05Speaker 2: were shot. It was just horrific. Here's the nine one
- 47:09Speaker 2: one call a.
- 47:11Speaker 5: Gunshot victim at that location who don't enter the scene.
- 47:14Speaker 2: The scene.
- 47:15Speaker 8: It's not safe at this time.
- 47:17Speaker 2: Yeah, it was just horrible, horrible, horrible.
- 47:21Speaker 14: I've got an unconscious witness.
- 47:22Speaker 5: I've got one shot in the face. I really seemed
- 47:25Speaker 5: like I've got five victims, three gunshot victims.
- 47:29Speaker 2: This is nine o'clock Saturday night, Route twenty two location
- 47:32Speaker 2: in Union. Group of men stormed in, went behind the
- 47:35Speaker 2: food counter and just open fire. We don't know why yet.
- 47:39Speaker 2: Just a horrible story. Hey, Also in the news, Eric
- 47:43Speaker 2: Adams has announced he's now become a citizen of Albania.
- 47:49Speaker 2: You know what this guy's up to. He's now become Albanian,
- 47:53Speaker 2: which is great. If you want to open an Italian
- 47:55Speaker 2: restaurant in Westchester, all these all these Italian restaurants, it's
- 47:59Speaker 2: actually Banians running up. They're very good at restaurants, and
- 48:02Speaker 2: many of them, the Albanians came through Italy at some point,
- 48:05Speaker 2: so they're very good at Italian restaurants. But he announced
- 48:09Speaker 2: he's actually an honorary They've made him an honorary citizen
- 48:12Speaker 2: of Albania. He'll remain a US citizen. Todd Shapiro, his spokesman,
- 48:18Speaker 2: Todd Shapiro, friend of mine, great PR guy, the decision
- 48:22Speaker 2: by Albania. The grant Mayor Adam's citizenship reflects the enduring
- 48:26Speaker 2: relationship mutual of respect further strengthens the bond between New
- 48:30Speaker 2: York and Albania. Okay, but it could just be an
- 48:33Speaker 2: honorary thing. He described himself as an international mayor. He
- 48:39Speaker 2: loves Albania. His adult son has lived there for a while.
- 48:43Speaker 2: In fact, his adult son competed in the Albanian version
- 48:47Speaker 2: of American Idol. There is such a thing. Adams himself
- 48:52Speaker 2: traveled there quite a bit, one of the several inners.
- 48:55Speaker 2: So who knows, who knows why, but I kind of
- 49:00Speaker 2: we all miss him. Now, you know you weren't that
- 49:01Speaker 2: thrilled with him? And mayor now you'd give anything to
- 49:03Speaker 2: happen back. He was a lot better than what's going on. Now, Hey,
- 49:06Speaker 2: we'll take some calls. Next. Eight hundred three to two
- 49:09Speaker 2: one zero seven ten is the number, eight hundred three
- 49:13Speaker 2: to two one zero seven ten, Now.
- 49:17Speaker 1: More marks alone on Sevenay.
- 49:22Speaker 2: Let's take some calls. Let's go to John in Florida. John,
- 49:26Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 49:27Speaker 14: Good morning? Mark, wouldn't be the best interest of the
- 49:30Speaker 14: oil company's work which on right now, the lower the
- 49:34Speaker 14: prices while this is going on, because if we lose
- 49:37Speaker 14: the midtimes, they're gonna be pickle because of the Democrat
- 49:40Speaker 14: takes all. But they're gonna stop them from trapping dwelling
- 49:43Speaker 14: and every other dam.
- 49:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I know they like a convention. Oh the whole
- 49:46Speaker 2: midterm revolves around oil prices. It won't and they'll probably
- 49:49Speaker 2: come plunging down in a few weeks after this is
- 49:52Speaker 2: all over. You could make the oil companies lower the price.
- 49:55Speaker 2: There was no reason to raise it. Uh, they've just
- 49:58Speaker 2: raised it to match the international price, even though most
- 50:01Speaker 2: of the oil is sold here. But if you have
- 50:02Speaker 2: forced them to do that, they would just cut production
- 50:06Speaker 2: and that would raise the price. So you don't want
- 50:07Speaker 2: them to do that either. Let's go to Stuart in
- 50:10Speaker 2: South Carolina. Stuart, how you doing?
- 50:13Speaker 5: Hey?
- 50:13Speaker 9: Mark car are you you know? You mentioned Nicky Haley.
- 50:16Speaker 9: I've been in southa You're.
- 50:17Speaker 2: In South Carolina? Does everybody in there?
- 50:20Speaker 4: Ha?
- 50:20Speaker 5: Too?
- 50:22Speaker 9: We would not elect that woman as a dog catcher.
- 50:26Speaker 9: She you have to know South Carolina politics, but she
- 50:30Speaker 9: absolutely embarrassed the state over the flag, threw us under
- 50:33Speaker 9: the bus. We have so many tran plants here now
- 50:36Speaker 9: they don't know about the South Carolina politics. But yeah,
- 50:39Speaker 9: we can't stand that woman. When Trump hired or got
- 50:43Speaker 9: her out of South Carolina, we were very happy. We
- 50:45Speaker 9: knew she wanted to do well, and yeah she You know.
- 50:49Speaker 9: I was on radio for many years and I did
- 50:52Speaker 9: a lot of interview. Oh yeah, and Nicky Haley and
- 50:56Speaker 9: I were at many functions together. I used to do
- 50:59Speaker 9: a lot of interview. Was Eric Trump and that and
- 51:02Speaker 9: excuse me? And so I got to know Haley, and
- 51:07Speaker 9: you know, there's some real problems there. So everything that
- 51:10Speaker 9: you say, you're spot on, you really are all right?
- 51:13Speaker 2: Thanks for calling. Yeah, no, I've confirmed that with everybody,
- 51:16Speaker 2: from the President to everybody in the cabinet. Nicky Haley
- 51:19Speaker 2: behind the scenes, the nastiest, lying, scheming woman behind the scenes.
- 51:24Speaker 2: There was one time I was on a TV show
- 51:26Speaker 2: with a cabinet member. One time I said something like
- 51:28Speaker 2: that and he said, well, I'm not going to say
- 51:30Speaker 2: anything bad about Nicki Haley. And then we went to
- 51:33Speaker 2: a commercial and I said, what the hell was that?
- 51:36Speaker 2: And he said, worst person I've ever worked with in
- 51:39Speaker 2: my life. Everybody has confirmed it. Let's go to Chris
- 51:44Speaker 2: in Manhattan.
- 51:45Speaker 15: Chris, how you doing, Good morning, Mark, I'm okay, thanks,
- 51:48Speaker 15: listen about the oil and everything.
- 51:51Speaker 2: Let me point out, Chris, is what we call a panic,
- 51:54Speaker 2: panics about everything. We're going to lose the last election
- 51:57Speaker 2: because of abortion. What was the other thing you panic about?
- 52:00Speaker 15: Well, no abortion, I am I am still surprised that
- 52:03Speaker 15: we did not lose.
- 52:04Speaker 2: All price it's not an issue of any kind. The
- 52:08Speaker 2: president has no connection to the abortion issue. There's no
- 52:12Speaker 2: power over abortion nothing. It's no longer a federal issue.
- 52:15Speaker 2: It's a state issue.
- 52:17Speaker 8: All right.
- 52:17Speaker 15: Well, anyway about about the oil prices and everything. The
- 52:20Speaker 15: whole world is hating us now because we're causing the.
- 52:26Speaker 2: If you went back four months, they didn't love us.
- 52:29Speaker 15: Trump said yesterday that maybe the prices will still be
- 52:32Speaker 15: the same, we're a little bit higher during the election.
- 52:36Speaker 2: You still haven't figured this out, have you? What take
- 52:40Speaker 2: all the Trump comments for the last few weeks. They're
- 52:42Speaker 2: all over the map. The price will be plunging in
- 52:44Speaker 2: two weeks. The price will never come. He does this
- 52:46Speaker 2: all the time to confuse the enemy.
- 52:49Speaker 15: But now we're straight and not the Iranians. What's the difference.
- 52:53Speaker 15: We're still causing a shortage around the world.
- 52:56Speaker 2: Well, there's no shortage here.
- 52:58Speaker 15: I know, but but we can't lower our price is
- 53:00Speaker 15: artificially because we're the ones that's causing pain to everybody else.
- 53:04Speaker 8: So we can't do that.
- 53:06Speaker 2: That we're not We can open the streets anytime.
- 53:09Speaker 15: You're the best show on the radio.
- 53:12Speaker 2: Once again, Admiral Cooper sent com. They have the plans.
- 53:15Speaker 2: It's fool proof. They can open the streets or horms
- 53:17Speaker 2: any time they want. When they decide they're going to
- 53:19Speaker 2: open it, it will be open.
- 53:21Speaker 15: Just like that.
- 53:22Speaker 2: It's in our interest right now to keep it closed.
- 53:27Speaker 2: It'll be a few weeks. It'll be a few weeks,
- 53:29Speaker 2: but then the price is by summer, you're going to
- 53:32Speaker 2: be paying a two fifty for gas. It's going to
- 53:34Speaker 2: come up.
- 53:34Speaker 15: Okay, are we going to save the Iranian citizens that
- 53:37Speaker 15: we told to fight because we were coming and we
- 53:39Speaker 15: had their backs.
- 53:40Speaker 2: So far we have. Yeah. They were wiping them out
- 53:42Speaker 2: of like a thousand every day before.
- 53:44Speaker 15: Not anymore.
- 53:45Speaker 2: No, No, they're busy fighting us. They're not shooting in
- 53:48Speaker 2: the streets anymore. No, they can't shoot people in the
- 53:50Speaker 2: streets because they'd have to appear out on the streets
- 53:52Speaker 2: where we would blow them up. Republican guard in hiding.
- 53:56Speaker 2: Remember it's just before we started this war. They had
- 53:58Speaker 2: shot thirty thousand people in the streets. Let's go to
- 54:01Speaker 2: Rich and Myrtle beach. Rich, how you doing good?
- 54:04Speaker 5: Oh, my Lord, give him some prozac or something. He
- 54:07Speaker 5: needs to calm down.
- 54:08Speaker 2: It's that's just him, is that. There are a lot
- 54:10Speaker 2: of people, No they're Democrats, but a lot of Republicans.
- 54:14Speaker 2: They're happier, worrying and think everything's gonna everything's terrible. You know,
- 54:19Speaker 2: people like that, right, they.
- 54:20Speaker 5: Prefer well, they want to take up you know, we'd
- 54:22Speaker 5: legal in a million states now. They want to saw
- 54:24Speaker 5: smoking weed and calm down or something like that.
- 54:26Speaker 2: You know, everybody has one of them in the family.
- 54:28Speaker 2: Everybody's happy that there's always one in the family. Goes, oh, well,
- 54:32Speaker 2: it's never gonna know. They just want to be miserable.
- 54:35Speaker 2: They enjoy it.
- 54:36Speaker 5: Well, my brother moved down here from New York and he's,
- 54:39Speaker 5: you know, so anti Trump. He votes in the Republican
- 54:42Speaker 5: primary just to vote against Trump, which is another problem
- 54:45Speaker 5: with the state. And Stewart is right. I mean when
- 54:47Speaker 5: I moved down here twenty fourteen, I wasn't even here
- 54:50Speaker 5: two or three weeks and we all hated Nikki Hayley
- 54:52Speaker 5: and she's in the same ballpark as Mike Pence. Neither
- 54:54Speaker 5: one of them could get elected as a dog catch anymore.
- 54:57Speaker 5: But there's Eric fall. Thing is awesome because here's a
- 55:00Speaker 5: guy they needed him for so long and he must
- 55:03Speaker 5: have really pissed somebody off big time for them to
- 55:05Speaker 5: just turn on him on a dime and all the
- 55:07Speaker 5: stuff come out all at one time. They must really
- 55:09Speaker 5: want him out, which is awesome because you might actually
- 55:12Speaker 5: have two Republicans on a ticket for the governor of California.
- 55:16Speaker 5: You may actually have a Republican governor by default.
- 55:18Speaker 2: Yeah, it's tough because it's two thirds Democrat in California,
- 55:23Speaker 2: but it's possible. The best candidate in a long long
- 55:25Speaker 2: time is Steve Hilton. We'll see. Let's go to Mike
- 55:29Speaker 2: in Saint James, Long Island, Saint James James. Very nice, Mike,
- 55:32Speaker 2: how you doing fine?
- 55:34Speaker 5: Mark? Thank you. The new supermarket, city owned supermarket opening
- 55:39Speaker 5: in Harlem.
- 55:41Speaker 2: Schedule it's open in about three years.
- 55:43Speaker 5: Do you think that's a no big contract.
- 55:46Speaker 2: Well, that's another thing, very good point. Now, as they said,
- 55:50Speaker 2: the supermarket business is the toughest business in the world.
- 55:52Speaker 2: You're on a one percent profit margin. You got to
- 55:55Speaker 2: really know how to get the best prices. Government doesn't
- 55:58Speaker 2: know how to do that. You're right, they'll give it
- 56:02Speaker 2: to the highest bidder. It'll never work. It'll it'll cost
- 56:05Speaker 2: three times as much if the government tries to sell
- 56:07Speaker 2: you groceries. Anytime the government tries to sell you something,
- 56:10Speaker 2: it costs five times what it would in the private sector.
- 56:13Speaker 2: So hey, when we come back, Bruce Blakeman most likely
- 56:17Speaker 2: will be the next governor in New York. He'd be
- 56:19Speaker 2: a great governor. We'll talk to Bruce Blakeman next on
- 56:23Speaker 2: seven to ten WR.
- 56:25Speaker 4: Give wor oh, bri said on the iHeartRadio app.
- 56:28Speaker 1: To hear Mark Simone and all the WR hosts in
- 56:32Speaker 1: an instance.
- 56:34Speaker 4: Now back to the Marximo Show on wor.
- 56:38Speaker 2: Well, Bruce Blakeman running for governor. He's the Nassau County executive.
- 56:42Speaker 2: County executive is like a governor's job. It's basically the
- 56:45Speaker 2: same thing. And he's proven to be the best county
- 56:48Speaker 2: executive in America. Everybody wants, everybody who knows what they're
- 56:52Speaker 2: doing wants him to be governor. He'd be the best
- 56:55Speaker 2: governor we could have right now, Bruce Blakeman, and you
- 56:57Speaker 2: got to help him out. Go to Blakeman for New
- 56:59Speaker 2: York dot Com. I know you're supporting them, but you
- 57:02Speaker 2: got to help out. Donate volunteer. Go to Blakeman for
- 57:07Speaker 2: New York dot Com. Blakeman for New York dot Com.
- 57:10Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman, how you doing.
- 57:13Speaker 5: I'm doing great, Mark, and thank you for your support,
- 57:16Speaker 5: your dear friend. You are an amazing personality and I
- 57:23Speaker 5: just value our friendship. Thank you so much. We're doing great.
- 57:27Speaker 5: I just had a press conference where I indicated that
- 57:31Speaker 5: on day one as governor, I will pardon Sergeant Duran.
- 57:36Speaker 5: He was doing his job. It was a gross miscarriage
- 57:39Speaker 5: of justice to convict him and to put a sentence
- 57:42Speaker 5: of three to nine years on an NYPD veteran who
- 57:46Speaker 5: is just doing his job. He's got three children. I
- 57:49Speaker 5: think it's just a disgrace. It's the air of criminality
- 57:53Speaker 5: that now exists in New York State under Kathy Hoak
- 57:56Speaker 5: when Zorn Mndami. That ends on day one when I
- 57:59Speaker 5: become govern Yeah.
- 58:00Speaker 2: Duran is the cop who threw the cooler, and it
- 58:04Speaker 2: was a split second decision. He got in front of
- 58:06Speaker 2: a wacky left wing judge who just a while back,
- 58:10Speaker 2: somebody beat a homeless guy to death. He gave that
- 58:12Speaker 2: kid a gang member like three months. He gives this
- 58:15Speaker 2: cop three to nine years. So, as governor, you would
- 58:17Speaker 2: have the power to pardon him on that.
- 58:21Speaker 5: Yes, and I will pardon him at twelve oh one
- 58:25Speaker 5: on January first. It'll be the first thing that I
- 58:29Speaker 5: do as governor. Again, we are destroying the morale of
- 58:36Speaker 5: NYPD and other law enforcement professionals throughout the state. It
- 58:41Speaker 5: is a state where we have the most pro criminal
- 58:45Speaker 5: governor in America, and Kathy Hochel, you know, just think
- 58:49Speaker 5: about it. Mark every law enforcement policy issue she makes
- 58:56Speaker 5: makes it easier for criminals to pray on our community.
- 59:00Speaker 5: When is she ever promulgated a law that protects our communities,
- 59:06Speaker 5: that protects our law enforcement professionals. She fired two hundred
- 59:11Speaker 5: No excuse me, she fired a two thousand corrections officers
- 59:15Speaker 5: who were complaining that under Kathy Hocke's policies, the prisoners
- 59:21Speaker 5: were now running to jails, making it unsafe not only
- 59:25Speaker 5: for corrections officers, but unsafe for the prisoners themselves, and
- 59:30Speaker 5: making the surrounding communities around jails insecure. This is a
- 59:34Speaker 5: governor that is completely out of touch. I am going
- 59:37Speaker 5: to correct this injustice as Sergeant Duran twelve oh one
- 59:42Speaker 5: January first, twenty twenty seven. I will have the document
- 59:46Speaker 5: in front of me and I will gladly sign it.
- 59:50Speaker 2: That's great to hear. The other problem you got these
- 59:52Speaker 2: crazy left wing district attorneys that let all the criminals out.
- 59:56Speaker 2: They that's a state job, district attorney. Does the governor
- 59:59Speaker 2: have the power to rem move a district attorney?
- 1:00:02Speaker 5: Yes, the governor does have the power if they're not
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: doing their job. It's happened before. I think it's an
- 1:00:09Speaker 5: extraordinary measure that I wouldn't do lightly. But for instance,
- 1:00:15Speaker 5: if there was a district attorney that was not enforcing
- 1:00:18Speaker 5: the law, and if that district attorney was doing things
- 1:00:23Speaker 5: to make our communities less safe and doing it without
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: adhering to their oath of office to protect our communities,
- 1:00:33Speaker 5: yes I would remove that district attorney.
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: Hey, the reason we want you to donate go to
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: Blakemanfromnewyork dot com is the matching funds that you're supposed
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: to get. Of course you would get them, but it
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: looks like a total corruption with this finance board. How
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: did they justify denying you the matching funds?
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: Well, it's more political dirty tricks on the part of
- 1:00:55Speaker 5: Kathy Hochel. She's a cheater. We're not surprised. Basically, that's
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: been her mo. Here's the situation. Mark, there are matching
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: funds that are public finance.
- 1:01:11Speaker 9: That is the law.
- 1:01:12Speaker 5: We qualified for it, I was certified get it. And
- 1:01:19Speaker 5: then they changed the rules and regulations saying that the
- 1:01:23Speaker 5: governor and the Lieutenant governor have to file together and
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: that they would prepare a form for us to sign. Well,
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: they never prepared the forum. Then the Commission, which is
- 1:01:37Speaker 5: four Democrats the three Republicans, voted four to three to
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: decertify us from our right to get matching funds. It's
- 1:01:46Speaker 5: a disgrace. It's something that you would see in a
- 1:01:50Speaker 5: totalitarian government. We have become a totalitarian government. There's one
- 1:01:55Speaker 5: party rule, and when there's one party rule, the prospect
- 1:02:00Speaker 5: for tyranny increase by many, many multiples. And that's what
- 1:02:05Speaker 5: we now have in New York. We've got a governor
- 1:02:08Speaker 5: who runs the state as if it's their own personal
- 1:02:12Speaker 5: piggy bank. She runs the state with an iron cyst
- 1:02:18Speaker 5: and she's a bully, and we want to make people
- 1:02:21Speaker 5: in New York happy again. We want to put New
- 1:02:24Speaker 5: Yorkers first. She spent eight billion dollars of our taxpayer
- 1:02:29Speaker 5: money on non New Yorkers, on people who came here illegally.
- 1:02:32Speaker 5: They're here for fifteen minutes. They got free housing, free food,
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: free lodging, and a free cell phone. I mean, what
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: does that say to the hard working New Yorkers who
- 1:02:42Speaker 5: are struggling to make ends meet every day that their governor,
- 1:02:46Speaker 5: in the most overtaxed state in the United States is
- 1:02:50Speaker 5: fritting away their money, their taxpayer money, on people who
- 1:02:54Speaker 5: aren't New Yorkers. That also ends on January first. I'm
- 1:02:57Speaker 5: going to put New Yorkers first, New Yorkers happy again
- 1:03:01Speaker 5: by having a governor that cares about them and their families.
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: Well, you go to Blakeman from New York dot Com,
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman. Obviously, you know you've done well with taxes
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: and crime and everything in Nassau County. But when you
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: get up there to Albany, how much can you do
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: about taxes with that crazy legislature.
- 1:03:19Speaker 5: Well, it's a bargaining process, and the governor has a
- 1:03:22Speaker 5: tremendous amount of power when it comes to the budget.
- 1:03:25Speaker 5: So there are things that the legislature is going to want,
- 1:03:29Speaker 5: and there's things that I as the governor, So we
- 1:03:33Speaker 5: all have to and negotiate, but I'm not going to
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: give one inch on the things that are important to me,
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: and that is creating economic development and immediately cutting electric
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: costs in half. When you look at your electric bill,
- 1:03:51Speaker 5: only thirty percent of your payment goes for energy, only
- 1:03:54Speaker 5: thirty percent. The rest goes for excessive deliveryies, more taxes,
- 1:04:00Speaker 5: and the green energy scan that produces very little energy.
- 1:04:04Speaker 5: So that ends. We are going to be done with
- 1:04:07Speaker 5: all these experiments that cost billions and billions of dollars
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: and produce very little energy. We're going to open up
- 1:04:14Speaker 5: the Marcella's Shale to drilling. We have one of the
- 1:04:16Speaker 5: biggest natural gas reserves in the world that will create
- 1:04:20Speaker 5: a huge supply. And when you have a huge supply,
- 1:04:23Speaker 5: it brings down energy costs. So you're going to have
- 1:04:27Speaker 5: a governor that will immediately reduce your electric bills in half,
- 1:04:32Speaker 5: will work to cut taxes and create economic development and
- 1:04:35Speaker 5: prosperity for every family in New York.
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: You know, the Democrats love to yell about President Trump
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: raised gas prices, it's costing you an extra one hundred
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: a month. Nobody ever points out those policies you mentioned
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: took your electric bill from one hundred to four hundred
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: dollars a month. But again, can you really make those
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: changes without the legislature? Is that possible?
- 1:04:58Speaker 5: Yes? Because the governor as authority over the administration. The
- 1:05:03Speaker 5: electric bills are promulgated by rules and regulations of a
- 1:05:09Speaker 5: regulatory authority, and the governor has the power of appointment.
- 1:05:13Speaker 5: So yes, I will appoint people to those boards that
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: put the consumer first, put the rate payer first, and
- 1:05:21Speaker 5: not all of these green energy scam companies that contribute
- 1:05:26Speaker 5: millions of dollars to Kathy Hockel's campaign.
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, Bruce Blake when they pulled these dirty tricks
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: with the campaign finance board. When it comes to having
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: a debate, which of course you should have, what's she
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: going to pull there? Is she going to agree to debate?
- 1:05:42Speaker 5: Well, I'd like to have a debate every month from
- 1:05:45Speaker 5: now until the election. I think that it's important that
- 1:05:48Speaker 5: the people have an opportunity to measure us both to
- 1:05:52Speaker 5: see where we stand on policies, but of course she
- 1:05:56Speaker 5: will do everything in her power not to debate me.
- 1:06:00Speaker 5: She has said she's not taking matching funds because a
- 1:06:05Speaker 5: rule of taking matching funds says that you have to
- 1:06:07Speaker 5: be willing to debate. She wants no part of debating me.
- 1:06:11Speaker 5: How could she want to debate me when I have
- 1:06:13Speaker 5: a record of four years of making people happy, lowering taxes.
- 1:06:19Speaker 5: I have the safest county in America according to the
- 1:06:21Speaker 5: US News and we're report we have economic development and prosperity.
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: You've got the lowest poverty rate in the state. How
- 1:06:28Speaker 5: in the world is she going to want to debate
- 1:06:30Speaker 5: me when she's got four years of a record of failure,
- 1:06:35Speaker 5: of a record of making people miserable. We are the
- 1:06:38Speaker 5: most overtaxed, overregulated state. Our utility bills are fifty percent
- 1:06:42Speaker 5: higher than the national average. Our crime is out of control.
- 1:06:48Speaker 5: People don't want to use public transportation because of the
- 1:06:51Speaker 5: fact that they don't feel safe, and they need a
- 1:06:55Speaker 5: governor that's going to care about them and put them first.
- 1:06:57Speaker 5: And that's why I'm absolutely confident that on October first,
- 1:07:02Speaker 5: excuse me, on January first, of twenty twenty seven, I
- 1:07:05Speaker 5: will be sworn in as the next governor of the state.
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: Well, we hope so. Hey, you started twenty points behind
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: the polls, but every time you've ever run, you're always
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: twenty points behind the polls. Next thing, you know, you win.
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: But how's it going. I know you've come way up
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: in the polls recently.
- 1:07:20Speaker 5: Yeah, we've cut that more than in half. We are
- 1:07:25Speaker 5: in single digits.
- 1:07:26Speaker 9: Now.
- 1:07:26Speaker 5: We are six months ahead of our own schedule. And
- 1:07:29Speaker 5: that's because, you know, Kathy Hochel is helping my campaign.
- 1:07:34Speaker 5: Zoah and Mondami's helping my campaign. They're in league together.
- 1:07:37Speaker 5: They're failed policies. Now they're going to open up a
- 1:07:40Speaker 5: grocery store, a city run grocery store together. I mean,
- 1:07:46Speaker 5: why is the city and the state getting involved in
- 1:07:48Speaker 5: the grocery business. It's max of socialism, which is nothing
- 1:07:53Speaker 5: more than shared misery. I don't want to make people
- 1:07:55Speaker 5: miserable anymore. I want to make them happy, just like
- 1:07:58Speaker 5: I did in Nassau County. People in New York State
- 1:08:01Speaker 5: want to be proud of their government. They want to
- 1:08:03Speaker 5: be proud of their state, and right now they're not.
- 1:08:06Speaker 5: And it's a shame. And I will correct that situation
- 1:08:10Speaker 5: when I'm elected governor.
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: Well, Bruce Blakeman would be a great governor. We want
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: everybody to help out. You can donate, that's important. You
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: can volunteer. Go to Blakeman from New York dot com
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: and you can do it there. Blakeman from New York
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: dot com. Bruce Blakeman, great, thanks for being with us.
- 1:08:29Speaker 5: Mark, Thank you so much. God bless you. You're a
- 1:08:32Speaker 5: great American and the great New York.
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: Well, thanks a lot. We'll talk again soon. Thanks for
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: being with us. Hey, coming up, uh Buck and Clay
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: noon today, and you know Curtis is back every morning.
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: It's Curtis Sliwa and Larry Minty six to ten here
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: on seven to ten, wo.

- 1:09:00Speaker 2: Hey, nice day to day. It'll be seventy eight degrees
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: tomorrow eighty two, Wednesday eighty eight. Bet it hits ninety
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: upper eighties on Thursday, mid seventies next weekend. So this
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: is great news. Spring is here, summer not far away.
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: The Masters, Rory mcilray Rory two years in a row.
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: Two years in a row, which means winning three times
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: in a row. Never happens, never happens, could happen next year,
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: so that'll bring some excitement to it. Hey, we're out
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: of time. I'm here every day ten to noon, or
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: you can listen anytime. Just get the podcast. That way
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: you can hear the show whenever you want to hear it.
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: I'll be back tomorrow ten to noon. Thanks for listening,
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: talk to you later. Thanks for everything. Seven to ten
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: WR
