- 0:44Good morning, everyone, and welcome to another episode of Have Faith,
- 0:47Let It Begin. It's Friday.
- 0:49We've made it through another week, and I don't know about you,
- 0:52but sometimes by Friday, I'm worn out.
- 0:55I'm physically tired, mentally drained, and spiritually running on fumes.
- 1:00Today's message is about choosing peace over panic. My name is Angel, and welcome again.
- 1:06You see, we live in a world that runs on adrenaline.
- 1:10Deadlines, bills, bad news on TV, long commutes, and that constant voice inside
- 1:16that says, you're not doing enough.
- 1:20And before we even realize it, panic starts to take over. But here's what we've learned.
- 1:26Peace is not something you find by escaping the noise.
- 1:29It's something you discover within the noise when you allow God to step in.
- 1:35In John chapter 14, verse 27, it says, peace I leave with you.
- 1:41My peace I give you. I do not give you, excuse me, I do not give to you as the world gives.
- 1:49Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
- 1:54That verse always grounds me because Jesus doesn't say, I'll give you peace
- 2:00when your problems are gone.
- 2:01He says, I give you peace now.
- 2:05Even when the world feels upside down, even when your plans fall apart,
- 2:10his peace is right there waiting for you to reach out and take it.
- 2:15I remember a season in my life when panic was my middle name.
- 2:20Everything seemed to hit at once. Work, pressure, family worries, financial struggles.
- 2:27It felt like I was carrying the world on my shoulders. And I couldn't sleep.
- 2:31I'd stare at the ceiling until 2 a.m.
- 2:34My mind racing through every possible worst-case scenario.
- 2:37But the one night, instead of trying to solve everything myself, I prayed.
- 2:43Not for long. Not a fancy prayer. Just a few broken words.
- 2:48Like, God, I can't do this anymore. I need your peace.
- 2:52And you know what? Nothing around me changed overnight.
- 2:55But something inside of me did. The storm was still there.
- 3:00But suddenly I was pan I was I wasn't panicked I was trusting that's the power
- 3:08of his peace that's the power of the Holy Spirit it's something that it doesn't
- 3:13remove the storm it just doesn't remove the storm it it.
- 3:16It's steady. It's steadies how I say it. It steadies your heart through it,
- 3:22you know, and maybe you're listening right now and you're driving and you're
- 3:26commuting and you're saying life around me feels out of control.
- 3:30And maybe you're stuck in traffic already dreading the week ahead. Right.
- 3:35Even though it's Friday, you're already dreading the week already.
- 3:38Or maybe you're lying awake at night or overthinking what's next.
- 3:43What other shoe is going to foot is going to drop right and have foot you know i meant,
- 3:48here's what i want you to remember though take a deep breath as i was talking about early this week,
- 3:53take a deep breath peace isn't about having control it's about letting go and
- 3:58letting god lead he never promised an easy life but he promised a peaceful one
- 4:04and if you let him take the wheel.
- 4:08He'll take over and do something special.
- 4:11Sorry about that. I got caught up in that moment.
- 4:15So today, try something different because that's what he did for me. He took over the wheel.
- 4:21And when panic starts to rise, pause just for 10 seconds and say, God, I give this to you.
- 4:31Do that every time. Your mind will start to spin I'll see you next time.
- 4:36And it will then all of a sudden stop because when your mind starts to spin,
- 4:41this is what we need to say.
- 4:43God, I give you this. I give this to you.
- 4:46And you'll be amazed how quickly His presence calms the chaos.
- 4:50Let's pray. Heavenly Father, this week is over and the new week is ahead of
- 4:56us. Our weekend is ahead of us.
- 4:57We welcome you today and we thank you for being with us as we come to you today
- 5:02asking for peace. not the world's kind, but yours.
- 5:07Lord, you know our struggles, our fears, and the worries that keep us up at night.
- 5:13Calm our hearts and still our
- 5:14minds. Teach us to breathe deeply and remember that you are in control.
- 5:20You hear Noah in the background crying. This is what I'm talking about,
- 5:24right? Peace can come and go real quickly.
- 5:28So teach us to breathe, like I said, deeply and And remember that we know that
- 5:33you're in control of God. We know you're in control.
- 5:36So remind us that peace doesn't come from perfection, but from your presence.
- 5:41For every listener right now who feels overwhelmed, I know what you're going
- 5:44through. Trust me, I feel it too.
- 5:47Feel them with control, with comfort, strength and assurance that you are near.
- 5:52Just like I'm gonna go near to Noah's heart and calm him down.
- 5:56In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
- 6:00Come here, Noah. Noah. Come here, buddy.
- 6:03Come here. Come here. Come here. Come here. You want to say goodbye?
- 6:08Here, come sit on my lap. Here, say. Here, ready? You're going to say,
- 6:12say, happy Friday, everyone.
- 6:14Can you say, happy Friday? Happy Friday. Say, have faith, let it begin. Can you say it?
- 6:21Have faith, let it begin. Good. So as we head into the weekend,
- 6:26we hope that you carry this with you. Let it begin.
- 6:28Yeah, there you go. Peace doesn't mean everything's perfect, right?
- 6:32It means that you've chosen faith over fear And peace over panic So take a deep breath Smile,
- 6:38hug your kids like I'm doing right now And trust that no matter what's waiting
- 6:43around the corner God is already there Because you matter And never forget Have
- 6:50faith Let it begin Let it begin We'll see you again See you soon And take care Bye-bye, guys.
