- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: 5, 6, 7, 8, spooky!
- 0:01[SPEAKER_00]: Spooky, spooky!
- 0:03[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, spooky!
- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, spooky!
- 0:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm nervous!
- 0:07[SPEAKER_01]: Lightning!
- 0:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yes!
- 0:09[SPEAKER_01]: The thunder and the lightning!
- 0:10[SPEAKER_01]: Here we go!
- 0:23[SPEAKER_01]: Hi Tara, happy Halloween.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_01]: Happy Halloween.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_01]: By the time this air is going to be Halloween.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_01]: It will be, and we will have just on our live show the night before.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_01]: I will have just seen you in person.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my gosh, hi, hi.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_00]: Hi, Tara, for real.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I hate about the way that we have to record our episodes now is like, there's a little bit of like a lag between like the present time for us.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_00]: And when the episode is published, because we won't be able to talk about our live event until like, mid november now, but I hope you
- 0:53[SPEAKER_00]: I hope so too.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_00]: I hope we got to see a bunch of you.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I hope you had a great costume.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's like manifesting for the past.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_01]: Right now.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_01]: If Haley sounds a little underwater right now, she is very sick and she somehow pulled herself together for this episode today, so thank you.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: you know, just like you just have to have a bold lip and then it changes everything.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: It really does.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: You look happy.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you so much.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: That's so nice of you to say because I don't feel great.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: I know you don't.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_01]: I know you don't.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: But you know what I would say is I've always, I'm always sick on Halloween.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: For some reason, like every New York Halloween, like when I was living in New York, I was sick every single Halloween.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: And I would just stay home alone by myself.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but I feel like maybe this is like a nice sort of like, I'm sick on like the Halloween episode and it's not quite actually Halloween in our lives right now.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: Thank God, I'm putting this in a van.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: I know and so I'm kind of hoping this is like, you know, this year's version of it, like I'm sick of Halloween episode, but I'm not sick on extra Halloween.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I love that for you.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, so it's like the Maddox my life that I would be sick, but I do apologize for Sorry, I just didn't want people to ask.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I was just like let's just tell them let's just tell them what's up Let's just tell them what's up.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, speaking of what's up before we get into our spooky,
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: our episodes were kind of like recorded out of order this month and so I kept forgetting to actually talk about the book club pick.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: Well, in fact, this is the day before November 1st.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_00]: I know, we got to get ready real quick.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_00]: Where you read I will follow, we're going to skip this month because I know a lot of people were saying that they weren't having enough time to finish the books that I had picked.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: And so I'm going to give you some time to catch up.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: I know that I haven't finished reading Rebekah, and so I'm going to use this month to catch up on what I had been meaning to read.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_00]: So if there's any of the picks from the last couple of months that you do want to catch up on, you can always go back into our fable and see what people were saying before, and
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: You know, catch up on that, but I'm really excited for reading a sexy pick because this is either going to be something that's up your alley, a new genre adventure where you're totally going to skip at this month, because the book that I actually got right here is divine rivals by Rebecca Ross, which is a New York Times by selling book, but it is a fantasy romance.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: And so I think that that's why I'm not sure if you're going to like it.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: But I think it's a good entry point if you have never read fantasy or if you're into fantasy.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: And the reason that I picked this one is because it's an enemies to lovers between two rival journalists.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: And in the front cover it says when two young rival journalists find love through a magical connection.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: It must face the depths of hell in a war between gods to seal their fate forever, and the magical connection that they have is letter writing, and they both work at the same newspaper, one of whom is Iris Winno, and she has a single mother, and the other one is Roman Kit, and he comes from a very wealthy family.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, very, very on par.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I felt like this was a really like the tropes were there, they fit, but it's fantasy romance.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm really, really excited because Rebecca Ross has already scheduled to be on the podcast.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm so excited to talk to you about this.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this book is not a standalone.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: There's sequel, but it is coming out in December.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_00]: So you don't have to wait long if you do decide to read this.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: But I
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: I'm very excited for this one.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't actually read it, but everyone in my life tells me that I'm going to love it.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm super excited.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like it.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: Could you imagine if I just like did it like this book?
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: But no.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: I've actually already started it.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like 50 pages into it.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, great.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: So you're underlining everything that's in it.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm really excited to read it with you guys.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm excited for everybody else to read it and it's going to be fun time.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be a fun time and I love fantasy romance and I feel like no Vembers just like fantasy.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, sure.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: Time to get a little delusional because it's getting dark.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, just time to start your delulu fantasies now.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, exactly.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's just a little weird up for those three months of darkness after the year.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_01]: Here we go.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_01]: Please, we're positive about it.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but that's a great pick, Haley.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think, you know, I love all the books that you pick.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm always like, yes, spot on.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, no, no, no, no, no, I'm not going to read it.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, so I'm not going to read it.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: Not because I don't want to just see things.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: That's fine.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_01]: Just like not a reader, Goli.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: And there's nothing wrong with that.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: Like love what you love and don't participate in what you don't want to participate in.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: And if that's reading, that's fine.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: You like stories in other ways.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: And speaking of, we're going to tell a story today.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_01]: Our Halloween episode last year was such a hit.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_01]: Our fan fiction episode.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_01]: I know we love it, so it's fun.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's such a great time.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: And we're kind of going to bring some of those elements to the live show when we do that next week, which at this point will have been the day before.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_01]: But we don't know if it'll be the same thing, or if it's going to be a little different, because we're going to ask our audience to participate in the building of the fan fiction episode, which is very exciting.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_01]: But today, we are going to build
- 6:03[SPEAKER_01]: Halloween fan fiction episode, similarly to how we did last year, but of course different because we're not going to repeat ourselves.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_01]: And we kind of talked about it a little bit beforehand.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_01]: Last year, I think we flipped a coin.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_01]: We were like, okay, where it's heads or tails, we're going to go season two season five.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_01]: And we ended up going with season five, which was a lot of fun this year.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: We decided preemptively that we were going to go with season two.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because we did five last year.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_01]: So I might as well just pick the other.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, a lot of people were kind of asking for it.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_01]: We asked you guys what you wanted to see and what you wanted to see.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_01]: Mostly because a lot of people were like, Jess, bring back Jess.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: She has a mischief, feel very much like they go ahead.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know what I mean, totally.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_00]: And this doesn't mean anything to you, but I feel like Jess would be a marauder.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I kind of explained to you the marauders and they're like the freak out from Harry Potter.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you know, we're in my day.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: It's like a fan fiction spin-off of Harry Potter's parents and his friends.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, okay.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_00]: Gotcha.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_00]: Some people, this will fall into a very small niche of people who understand what I just said.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_00]: Gotcha.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: That's okay.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, we decided that we were going to go with season two.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_01]: We kind of loosely talked about what we want to do.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm curious to know, like I came up with like an A storyline and a B storyline.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I'm curious if you came up with something similar to me or maybe something a little different.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_01]: I just wanted to toss around some of the ideas that I have.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I kind of have an idea of what's kind of like kind of happening, which is funny.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: I sent you my yesterday or the day before.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_00]: I said you might notes from last year.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: They were just like the most like bare bones, which is kind of like how I am coming at this today Mostly because my brain is at its bare bones at the moment.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not gonna lie Yeah, that's very few signs.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_01]: I usually just want to say yeah, but we're like I wish this wasn't a creative episode because my brain is not like
- 7:56[SPEAKER_01]: The least capacity it could be.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to be fine.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to turn the thoughts.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: This is just like five and five, but I do have like some thoughts, especially because of what people were requesting from the episode.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: But it's something that we were talking about as we plan for this episode.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: Was maybe deleting an episode from season two and replacing it.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_01]: which is so funny because she says to me last night like so is this like replacing the bracelet dinner and I was like is this you fulfilling your fantasy of deleting the bracelet dinner because we all know how Haley feels about the bracelet.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_01]: I don't hate it.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_01]: If I don't hate it, whatever you could do without it, you could take it or let it.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, just so much less I think it's such an important episode season two.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_00]: It is an important episode.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: You're right.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it's just when it comes to episodes that I'm going to pick and I'm going
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: pick.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it's all that one.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: Then I'm going to pick and pick.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm just stealing this story, line of what was going on in that one and like kind of applying it to this because what like, I think we had thought of this like earlier this year was like murder mystery.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and Tara and I of course were like kind of plotting and planning and she said someone dies and I was like,
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, no.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_00]: We can't, can't commit actual murder.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: She was like, no, like someone pretend dies.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: One has to die.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: I said she was dying.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: I thought you were saying, like, someone dies.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, well, kind of show if we turned into.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's funny that you bring that up because I was actually thinking about this this morning, as I was like plotting and planning.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_01]: And I do think that if we're going to basically like lift out the
- 9:36[SPEAKER_01]: and replace it with an episode like this in our fan fiction world.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of also want to incorporate some of the strokes of the ins and outs of ends, because that also kind of has a little bit of murder in it as well.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_01]: Like a funny murder didn't happen exactly.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, did someone are we going to pretend like somebody actually died?
- 9:58[SPEAKER_01]: Or is it just that like,
- 10:01[SPEAKER_01]: there's like, now line up a body outside of Taylor Tosi store and like we're going to roll with it.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_00]: We, I kind of love the idea because like my idea is that like, it's the Brace Bridge society.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: They're like the ones that are doing the Brace Bridge dinner.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: Is that what it is?
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: The Brace Bridge group.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think as well.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: I imagine a similar sort of thing of like there is a group.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: We can call them whatever we want to.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: Who is going to do a murder mystery at the in?
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: And so they have decided then that they're now all going to do the murder mystery.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and take on all these roles and someone is like going to die.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: But I imagine from what you're saying maybe there's a B storyline of like, Jess has done this like murder and like maybe someone has actually died.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_01]: And like those are like the A and the B. Okay, so this is what I have for my A storyline.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I just have a little description.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_01]: Kind of a law if you were going to put this in like the box set description.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, in the DVD booklet.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_01]: Laurel, I has to plan a sophisticated DAR murder mystery dinner for Emily at the end of Pendants Inn.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_01]: When the DAR falls ill from food poisoning, Laurel, I plancy event for the townies instead.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_01]: fine.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_01]: The B story line could be something like Dean starts to notice mysterious things happening around stars hollow and he suspects Jess but doesn't realize that he and worry have developed a friendship.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: So like kind of
- 11:28[SPEAKER_01]: weaving the ins and outs of ends storyline into it.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and the Bracebridge dinner of it all as well, because, you know, he shows up to the Bracebridge dinner and says to worry, like, I hate that guy.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, why is what do you do?
- 11:41[SPEAKER_01]: And he's a sort of fight at school and like, I kind of got in the middle of it.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_01]: And like, now I don't like him, but he's also trying to notice that there's something between him and me.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_01]: the way that I kind of saw this playing out, at least in the beginning, is that we start out on a Friday night dinner, which we'd love to do, of course.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_01]: And at Friday night dinner, Emily hosts this murder mystery party every year.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's kind of something that we included in our Halloween fan fiction episode last year.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that like Emily always hosts this murder mystery dinner and in our episode last year it gets canceled and she has to come to stars hollow Thank you the car goes out.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: You know you do you love a power goes out there.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: I love the lights go down Lights come back up someone's missing.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I love that
- 12:29[SPEAKER_01]: So, the way that I see it, I'm at least hosting this annual Halloween murder mystery dinner at her house, but she's complaining to Lorelie and Bury about how it's always the same thing over and over and over again.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's monotonous.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_01]: She's trying to spice it up a little bit.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, I've been doing this for years and everybody's starting to complain about it because they want something that's a little more heightened.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_01]: And Lorelie's like, well mom, why don't you host it somewhere else other than your house if people are going to be predictable about it?
- 12:54[SPEAKER_01]: And like they already kind of know what's coming.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: Why don't just go in the volunteer.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_00]: Is this a good time between them?
- 13:01[SPEAKER_00]: No, okay.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_01]: No, she's like, well, why don't you just pick somewhere else?
- 13:04[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, that's a great idea.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_01]: And then the next day, you know, lower lies at the end of Pennants in, you know, the suquisuki, the Michelle Michelle of it all.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_01]: And then like,
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: jumpscare Emily appears and she's like what are you doing care and Emily is like well I picked the place for my murder mystery and Laura lies like where and she's like here and Laura lies like no Because there would be every owner and Michelle is of course very excited.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_01]: He loves Emily Gilmour And he loves the real truth.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like
- 13:34[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like he'd love a murder mystery and I feel like Suki would just love nothing more than to like plan the menu like a spooky menu for people and more like like her absolutely hell no does not want to do this.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_01]: And so my idea was that similarly to what happens in the Bracebridge dinner when the Bracebridge group gets snowed in, it would be really interesting.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: I said to Haley last night somehow the D.I.R.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_01]: is not able to come.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_01]: I said maybe they had strokes.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_01]: Because that happened to Emily and I have friends who I'm open.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_01]: There's nothing to do.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_01]: Like we will not make jokes about strokes Strucks are serious even though that did rhyme But it's just like that there was an episode really literally all her friends because actually But I was trying to think of what would inhibit them to come and that was the first thing that came to mind But I think them getting maybe food poisoning like
- 14:22[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, did they all go to Bitty Charleston's house and like obviously use time and then they got food poisoning and now they can't come but Emily can be there because she was too busy planning them because she raised at the end.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: I wonder if there's like an element of like Laura like doesn't want to do it but me shall remind her of like.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe not that the end was doing terribly, but maybe they need this, so maybe to reaffirm me as faith in her, I don't know, I'm trying to think of why she would have to do this, maybe that not the end is struggling for money, but maybe she wants to, you know.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_00]: uh help her in some way.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to think of like how to tie that in from Well, I wonder if if we are like coming off of ins and outs, maybe we get another episode with Real Mia in there and she wants to do this.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: Real Mia
- 15:17[SPEAKER_01]: not fake me uh real me uh like wants to do this because she wants to build a tighter relationship with Emily um you know she wants to kind of like restore the relationship that feels broken even though she and Emily have never had a relationship she wants to kind of have you know some sort of good rapport with Emily and also wants to watch the gap between like the you know the space
- 15:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so maybe as he's like there and he is like, yeah, we'll do it.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_00]: We should do it.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_00]: That's great.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: I like like stuck in the middle.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: Ready to commit a homicide.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_00]: She'd make so many killing her mom jokes.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_01]: So that's what I have so far.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like it's kind of inevitable that something's going to happen so that the D.A.R.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: ladies can't come.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_01]: And now Laura Lye is going to not put this entire evening that she planned to waste.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_01]: She's going to invite the people in her life to participate.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_01]: So it's just a matter of us figuring out who that is and what that looks like.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_00]: Is this the sort of thing then that everything that's been planned, like all the roles are planned out and like all of like the like the victim, my guess has been selected and so has the murderer.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_00]: So now we have to like assign them.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think so, right?
- 16:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think that's kind of the best practice for it because she's already planned all of this out.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_01]: But my question is, do you think that they should just have it happening in the independence in?
- 16:49[SPEAKER_01]: Or do you think that it should happen all around town?
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm, I think that it might be fun to happen all around town.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_00]: But like, I think
- 16:59[SPEAKER_00]: to like keep I guess like if we're it would like if we're going to keep it to the braced bridge meme the maddically like that pretty much stays locally yeah yeah centralized to that one location like maybe there's a little outing that they go on into the town square a la the slaves
- 17:17[SPEAKER_01]: Well, on the topic of the slaves, I was like, how are they gonna do this?
- 17:20[SPEAKER_01]: Because in the game of Clue, you're basically on your own.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_01]: I do think sometimes you play in teams, maybe if there's a lot of people, but you're usually playing on your own.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_01]: You're usually a character in the game.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_01]: And we kept thinking of this kind of like a game of Clue, but it would be interesting if they were almost paired up together all of the slaves in race bridge, or even if they were paired and triplicate,
- 17:46[SPEAKER_01]: like Luke, Laura, Lie, and Bootsie on a team.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 17:52[SPEAKER_01]: Just like a random one.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, like, just, you know, worried just in dean.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_01]: Ooh, forgetting that they're just in a rub a little early, a little early.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_01]: Or if it's in pairs, if like, they get selected randomly and basically all the pairs that we saw in the
- 18:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, or we could get a little different with it.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_01]: I think it would be interesting to see like Emily if like we're going to throw me into this story like Emily and me a paired up together.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_01]: Locked her in her terrace.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my gosh.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_01]: That would be so interesting.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they're a Claire indeed.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like they would make sense, but like we don't know.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_01]: Mrs. Kim and Paris would be hilarious Mrs. Kim and Bootsie.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_01]: I would pay big money to see that Yeah, I feel like Mrs. Kim and Lane would have never as a pair though Like she would.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but I just mean if it was drawn randomly Like they would pay and send a hat and they just like picked out and they were like this is your pair This is who you're getting with
- 18:53[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, it'd be interesting, but they probably want to plan something like that in advance, I think.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I wonder though if it's like the DR was like so planned out that like each person ends up with like a different name, because you know, I can clue like you end up being like Colonel Mustard, so it's like
- 19:12[SPEAKER_00]: Paris ends up being bitty Charleston because it was supposed to be bitty Charleston's character Yeah, we got what it's funny.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_00]: So wonder if there's like some level of it to that that like I can't remember the name of like any other of Emily's friends But like giving each of them like D.A.R.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_00]: name.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_01]: I'm thinking like presenting Laura like Gilmore She's a friend Natalie and she's not at least my favorite.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_01]: I love that more But I'm thinking of presenting Laura like Gilmore and I'm just like
- 19:41[SPEAKER_01]: who were those women, Katie Heddington.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, well, Katie Heddington has a scab on her face.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_01]: Boy, definitely be the prettiest one there.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, I'm trying to think of like those little, little babies and bitty, bitty, bitty.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_00]: Which we don't want to have the other names, but I'm just that's one of what it fits into.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_01]: Totally, because it feels very allotted the office.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_01]: There's been a mess.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'm like, they've all going to win.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to bring that to some point.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_01]: And like, Kirk is like, I'm Bitty Charleston.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_00]: Who's Bitty Charleston?
- 20:18[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_00]: And I feel like it's some point like in this, like Kirk is like Uber involved Uber.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_00]: Uber.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's super involved with all of this because like I feel like lower-lies like, oh, we can't do this because like the D.R.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_00]: is sick.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_00]: And let's like, let's figure out who like the murder was going to murder was going to be.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_00]: And Kirk is like, no, you can't tell us.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_00]: Like we have to do this.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: And I feel like me shall or someone is like, no, we have to, like, we're going to do this.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: And so maybe Laura, I know who the murderer is.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think she has to.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_01]: Like, she's planned this entire event.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I just, I want to create some sort of like exciting B storyline.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_01]: that can kind of play into all of this.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_01]: And I just think there's something so missed to this about just a mischievous night and like, you know, something to do with that.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_01]: Where I think you suggested this last year, like a bunch of things are happening around town.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_01]: and everybody keeps blaming JASP, but he's not the one doing them.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_01]: And one of the things I can explain from.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_01]: I wonder if we could incorporate something like that, because I do love the idea of keeping it inside the independent Zen for the Bracebridge dinner of it all.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_01]: And because we don't really know the independence in as like the ins and outs of the independence in, as well as I think we come to learn about the dragonfly, there's so many different locations, whereas with the independence in,
- 21:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's just like the lobby, maybe a bedroom, the kitchen, but you do have the, um, you do have the potting shed.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_01]: So like that could be a location.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: You have the kitchen, you have the, um, lobby, you have the dining room.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you could have one of the rooms upstairs, be a location.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_01]: So like there are certain things, but I would love to explore the Nooks and crannies of the independence in this episode,
- 22:14[SPEAKER_01]: here is the set up and the location for this specific room that we've been in before.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_00]: Like a laundry room where like the maids quarters, like that's where it's somewhere.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_00]: I guess maids quarters is more of like down nabby, but like we're like they prepare everything.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but I think that if we were to build almost like a Gilmore Girls game of clue, the locations around town will probably be more exciting.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, trying to go to like Mrs. Kim's to go to Luke Steiner, Luke who like
- 22:45[SPEAKER_01]: You know, of course.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like she hates Halloween, but something that I was thinking about in terms of like, um, I guess another very I guess like see storyline for like Taylor is that Um, like if it's going to open up right in the night dinner, I guess when we switch over to stars hollow is that everyone's at dosies buying their Halloween candy that they're going to pass out.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_00]: But then like someone as like Lorelei of course is open her bag and it's already eating it.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: but like everyone's all the sudden like wait if we all buy our Halloween candy from here we're all gonna be passing out all the same candy and so they all like decide to go get candy from elsewhere so they can all have different candy because a lot of the things that people are talking about it's like we didn't focus on that as much last year of like
- 23:29[SPEAKER_00]: what character, what touting would be passing out, what candy, and I was like thinking like where they would get it from, and like dosis.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_00]: But dosis, if they got like, you know, like Taylor bought a bunch of like the chocolate variety packs.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_00]: That's what everyone in Star's Hollow would be giving out.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_00]: So I wonder if they have that like realization that they all scatter to buy their gift.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's interesting.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_01]: Because they don't really talk much about,
- 23:55[SPEAKER_01]: Taylor's old fashion, so-to-shop hasn't opened up yet at this point in the story, or else like that might be the place where they could candy as well because he has like specialty candy there.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_01]: But they also talk about in season five, I believe, when Laurel and Luke are getting together, they talk about art, brush, and that girl, the candy queen, the chocolate queen.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_01]: I thought she had a flower shop and he had a candy shop.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, the fudge queen.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_01]: No, she was the fudge queen.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_00]: Was she?
- 24:25[SPEAKER_01]: But it was like they ran them at a flower and chocolate.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_01]: Like, yeah, they were like ran out of town.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_01]: But like, no one ever talks about their being like a little fudge shop or like a local candy shop.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, there's no?
- 24:37[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_01]: Interesting, so you feel like the conflict is like Taylor trying to keep people in town and buying candy from his store.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_00]: Um, maybe more of just like everyone realizing like, oh, we're all gonna, everyone's gonna end up passing out in the same candy.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_00]: And then you kind of like, they all just put it back and lower a lie tries to put it back to, but she's already opened it, such as pay for it.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_00]: But like I think that they're, they're all gonna go elsewhere, and it's gonna be a surprise, but everyone's passing out on Halloween.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_01]: for trick of treating because I think it would also be funny and like very stars hollow of them to all like claim a specific candy like but that and more you're like well we we claim multiple balls like yeah first are our candy and like Laura likes like fine red vines are our candy that's what we're getting out you know King size candy bars only exactly oh my gosh those were always such a dream when I was younger yeah
- 25:32[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that could be something really fun for them to kind of think is going to be the conflict at the beginning of the story.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_01]: When an actuality of that kind of like ends up becoming so back burner because people are like, oh my god, instead of just passing out candy on Halloween night, which is very fun.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_01]: We're actually going to participate in like a murder mystery.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_01]: I just think that they would get so into it very like.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_01]: Very, they shoot Gilmourse don't they where they all get dressed up and like, you know, very Brace Bridged in or where they're all into their characters, you know.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, they're going to like, I feel like everyone's going to like, fall deep into like, Yeah.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_00]: So if they get assigned a costume or do they get to show up as whatever they want to be.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like they would be assigned to something.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I feel like Laura, like, would have planned this would really, really well.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_01]: But I guess my question is something we have to decide together is is she going to stick to that
- 26:22[SPEAKER_01]: them having to show up as the DAR ladies is just hilarious.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_01]: But I also love the idea of her planning this for the DAR ladies and then she kind of has to throw that out the window and they all just show up as they are because she's planning this so last year.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of like the idea that everyone kind of shows up in their Halloween costume like whatever they were going to be.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_00]: For some reason in my mind, I see that that being a fairy and were you being a tree?
- 26:50[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't just make sense.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_00]: It does, Moria's tall.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_00]: There's something that I was like, he's a tree.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_00]: And she is a fairy.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, the tree.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, sure.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_00]: And just like the all kind of like show up in, you know, whatever costumes.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_01]: They were going to wear for Halloween.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_01]: Do you have any other suggestions for other people?
- 27:10[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of think that Taylor would show up as just like a cub scout leader because he has the costume.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_01]: Not a magician.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_01]: Or he would.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_01]: Did we have him do it in that last year?
- 27:18[SPEAKER_01]: I cannot remember.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_00]: No, we were talking about actually he might have been a magician in the Halloween episode, but we also talked about him being a magician in the Taylor do see.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think he would have the same costume every single year.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_00]: He seems like the type.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and like this is his only moment to shine.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like his only moment to shine in such a way that he like doesn't have to pretend that he doesn't love magic.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_00]: like I feel like other times at the year, like he's like kind of puts it away, but tonight he can do all his queen tricks.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_01]: So do you think Patti which opens like his assistant?
- 28:02[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, maybe, are they doing a couple's costume?
- 28:05[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like it might make it easier on Laura Lai to be like y'all are already paired up as couples and horses like puttin' half.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's like a, the attrition, so this is pretty funny to pull out of that hat.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_00]: Pull out of the hat?
- 28:21[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my God.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what patty would go as.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like that's a good, I feel like that's a good suggestion
- 28:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, hilarious.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_01]: I would love if Luke showed up in no costume just as himself.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he's like I'm a diner owner.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah So take it early, but just comes as a pancake.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_01]: I would love if just showed up as Luke as well
- 28:48[SPEAKER_00]: All-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all-all
- 29:11[SPEAKER_01]: Ooh, what they show up at all.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_01]: Like I feel like Mrs. Kim would be like, this is the Devil's holiday.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_01]: The Devil is dancing on all of our shows right now.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_00]: Well, there were people in my neighborhood who would pass out like Bible verses instead of candy on Halloween.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if she would fall into that camp like she would pass out like many Bibles, maybe.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if she'd be into it.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe Lane would have to like sneak in to be a part of this.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like Mrs. Kim is not.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think that that might be the best course of action.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_01]: I think that that might also contribute to the C storyline is that Lane has to find a way to sneak into this.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_01]: But that's not really a storyline.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_01]: She always has to sneak into wherever she goes.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's still a part of this.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_00]: It has to sneak into this, that she has to lie about where she is.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_01]: Even though Laura like him might lie to another parent, maybe it's similar in that they don't tell Laura lie.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I mean, Laura Leia, she lies all the time.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_00]: That's true.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_00]: Where Lane is.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_00]: She is a whole band and she doesn't tell Mrs. Kim.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_00]: Just whenever she decides, she doesn't want to lie.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she definitely likes to cherry-pick.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think Sue Kee and Jackson are going to show up as?
- 30:18[SPEAKER_00]: I actually feel like they're both really into it.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't think- I don't think Jackson is like begrudgingly being something.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, I'm trying to think.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_00]: Would they be something really popular?
- 30:28[SPEAKER_00]: Or would they be something really niche?
- 30:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like, would they be like Frankenstein sort of something where it's like really classic?
- 30:37[SPEAKER_00]: Or would they be vegetables?
- 30:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's time to be really cool.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: I also think that would be a good costume for Bebatt and Mori, but almost like young Frankenstein style.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_01]: Like he shows up as Frankenstein.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_01]: She shows up as Inga, you know?
- 30:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because I feel like they like scary Halloween.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_00]: From like 66, they were like, when Laura was like telling them they're like, oh, they're not really scary.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_00]: Really scary.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I feel like they would lean into like the scary and also comedy of it all.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, definitely.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, the height difference in that.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my gosh.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe that's what more and the other ways.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_01]: But I think that with Jackson and Suki, I mean, Suki's also going to be planning this menu.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_01]: her chance or do you think there needs to be a menu and I know it's a murder mystery dinner maybe they start out at the end of pennants in and it is a dinner they're all having dinner together and then the mystery commences yeah maybe that's like someone has been murdered someone dies a dinner like the murder the victim has been announced a dinner like that sort of thing yeah she may definitely be dressed to something
- 31:42[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what, I can't decide.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to come too much to, maybe.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to be there too much to people showing up as themselves, but I feel like Jackson would also be the kind of person to show up and be like, I'm a farmer.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_01]: And more or less, I'm happy you have to wear costumes.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_01]: Like, this is a costume.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a farmer.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_00]: Why do I feel like he would like it though?
- 32:06[SPEAKER_00]: Like a one-of-like show up as something.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_01]: I also think it would be hilarious if like, suki showed up as like little bokeh, and he was a sheet.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_02]: Wait, I love that.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_01]: I think that would be a lot of fun.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe Suek is a farmer.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that would be funny.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_01]: What if she showed up as a farmer and he showed up as like a, like a brass quad or one of the things that he made?
- 32:30[SPEAKER_01]: If he likes a brass cross-pollinance or, oh my god, he could show up as a chef.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_01]: That's cute, right?
- 32:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that would be so cute.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I feel like they're doing a little reverse.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like that would be really fun.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_00]: Who do you think Lucy would show up as?
- 32:44[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I don't know.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_00]: A turkey burger.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's turkey burgers is a very dry.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_00]: I just wanted you to do the impression.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, this is your love, this is your man.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_00]: But would Bootsie be the type that would show up with just like vampire teeth?
- 32:59[SPEAKER_00]: And that's it.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_01]: No, I feel like there is someone though who would do that.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_01]: You see his like a commit.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 33:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_01]: Like he commits fully to the bit.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_01]: Like I feel like he'd show up as a member of a band, like the Eagles, because it's not born yet.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 33:14[SPEAKER_00]: There's no one else to join in with him.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's just him.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's just him.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_01]: He's a one man band.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and he just performs by himself.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, one man, man.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think the town trou would be there?
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: Ooh, spooky spooky music.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_01]: What about the kinko's truce?
- 33:29[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_01]: Like he just shows up in Taylor's like, what are you doing here?
- 33:32[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, I don't know.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_00]: He was like, he had the bracelet dinner though.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_00]: Am I making that up?
- 33:39[SPEAKER_00]: He was not the bracelet dinner.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_00]: Who am I thinking that was?
- 33:43[SPEAKER_00]: Rune.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_00]: Rune.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_00]: Rune was a prisoner.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_00]: So he was supposed to work the murder mystery, maybe.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they hired him for the murder mystery.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my gosh, that would be a great sort of like, um, I guess at this point it'd be like a d-story line of like room, like maybe is going to like misunderstand something, not that he's going to kill someone.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_00]: And he's going to like misunderstand the idea of being a mystery, maybe.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_00]: But it's like he is like,
- 34:15[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's more of just like conversationally like oh, so when do I kill them and like Laura likes it like you understand that this is fake right You understand I need you to I need you to level with me.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_00]: Look me and tell me you know this is pretend
- 34:29[SPEAKER_00]: Like and he's like, I know it's pretend, but when do I when do I kill them like I feel like it's kind of that like it's just like kind of like a side thing of like look me in the eye and tell me you know this No, not going to kill someone tonight.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_01]: He's like yeah, yeah, sure.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_00]: And he went to my address pocket and gives it to her He was like I totally know
- 34:50[SPEAKER_00]: So she just keeps like looking at him like doing it.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's pretend.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_01]: So is he a waiter?
- 34:55[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he's a waiter at the dinner.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's not actually participating because he's like, I don't do this stupid town stuff.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_01]: But like, I am going to participate now.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_01]: I am getting paid, right?
- 35:03[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, wait, so then like I love kind of like basing it a little bit off the braze bridge dinner and like maybe Jackson is like the detective of the night he's like the MC like he walks in like very like What is the agath the Christie's what is the pirou is that what his name is like he walks in like with like a pipe and like he's dressed like a detective with like the hat on and he like is like
- 35:28[SPEAKER_00]: We have to figure out who's going to be killed.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_01]: Like he's almost kind of the narrator for the whole thing.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_00]: To be a little bit fun.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_01]: Interesting.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_00]: And so maybe Lorelei doesn't know who dies.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_00]: Only Jackson knows.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, and that's also interesting.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_00]: Or, I mean, not everyone knows who dies.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that's the, you mean thing.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_01]: But who the murderer is?
- 35:51[SPEAKER_00]: Who the murderer is?
- 35:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, interesting.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_01]: He's kind of there to like guide everybody.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe Sikis a little mad that, uh, he won't tell her.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that would be so funny.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_01]: But I saw like she should be dressed as a farmer.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_01]: But she's a well dressed still as a farmer.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that's so funny.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_01]: I also do think it's hilarious, like the idea of everybody just showing up as who they are, and being like, I'm a dance teacher.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_01]: I run the newspapers.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like, two of these shows up as a chef.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, I'm a chef.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_00]: Like, everyone acts a deadly shows up as they're jobs themselves.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_01]: We're as each other.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_01]: No, but I do really like that Suki is dressed as a farmer.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know what I ever forgot about?
- 36:37[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, say the girls.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_01]: Well, the girl who's acting for the last time.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_01]: very niche.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_01]: They are just like niche ladies.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_01]: And we never got to really see them dress up for Halloween, which is like devastating.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_01]: But maybe I think part of that B story line of like the Dean and Laurie and Jess Clara, that all is that like Dean was supposed to take Clara out trick or treating.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_01]: And now he can't because he's coming to the murder mystery dinner.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_01]: And that is why Clara has to come along with him because or do we think Dean doesn't have to be there?
- 37:12[SPEAKER_01]: That's also in my fantasy.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, okay, wait.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_00]: So what if Rory and Dean are doing a couple costume?
- 37:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's maybe like the reverse of they shoot Gilmore's where they're going to do a couple costume.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_00]: And he's like, I told Claire, I would take her trick or treating.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_00]: Also, all of the houses will be closed.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_00]: Like, because no one's going to be there.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_00]: But like, he, look at the other side of Sarasalo.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_00]: It'll be fine.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_01]: nobody would be really funny if he was like why have to take care of her treating and she was like I understand that I have to go to this event for my mom so they split off and yeah she's there having a great time with Jass and he ends up showing up at the end because no one's houses were open for Twitter trading it like they did it pretty quickly they made the rounds really quickly because yeah they were a ton of houses that were because everyone was a were daughter of mystery because there's only six people that live in town
- 38:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they went or they had to go for the other set of stars hollow, but like I feel like that's like something that happens really like Dean is like I'm going to like uphold my commitment to Clara
- 38:11[SPEAKER_00]: which is very nice of him as a brother.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_00]: I do like him as a brother admittedly in the show.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_00]: Deen compliment, bing bing bing bing.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_00]: Flaget doesn't have an often.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, flash it, breaking news.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_00]: But he goes with her.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_00]: Also gets her out of this event.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we're driving.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_00]: You're bing bing bing bing.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like spooky lightening thunder should happen when we mention Claire's name.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_00]: um but so she's not involved anymore.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_00]: Dean does that and so Rory has like a couple's costume that like only works as a couple and so maybe she has to convince Laura Lie to be the other half of it.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_00]: Ooh that's so funny.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_00]: And so I don't know what he would be but like it's very like those are um they shoot Gilmore's where she convinces Rory to be her partner
- 39:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I love that.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what it would be, I don't know what it would be.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_00]: Something we're like maybe they were going to be a tree in a fairy.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_00]: I just want something for he's tall and now Laura, I has to be the tall thing.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_00]: Does that not happen?
- 39:22[SPEAKER_00]: Does Dean not get compared to, it's like a tree?
- 39:25[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_00]: I did want to say I'm a climardi, like a tree.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_00]: But then I've redacted that after the, I think it was on our Patreon episode.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_00]: We were talking about Marty two weeks ago.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, interesting.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_00]: I redacted that feeling.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_01]: You did.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they did.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I don't know what Vory and Dean would be, but I do love the twist of Laura like having to show up as Dean's costume.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I just don't know what it would be.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_01]: It would also be hilarious if like I don't know they were going as like Rocky and Adrian from Rocky.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_01]: And like he can't go and then Josh shows up as Rocky, like kind of on his own, but like probably new that they were showing up and like you know when his sneaky way that he does where he just like very there's the rub like delivery I knew yeah tonight so I brought you food.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_00]: The only thing is, and maybe Team Jess will disagree with me, but I think it's true to the narrative, is that I don't think Jess would put in that much effort, because he never really did.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like that was kind of like the undertones of Jess.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's like he had a lot of other things going on, and like effort was not something that he put forth a lot.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that this would be I do think he did though when he was trying to win Roy over and he speaks to that.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, yeah, I did that when I was trying to get you.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_01]: I know have you.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah, I know.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's so frustrating.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but he tends to put forth less effort in my opinion when he's not trying to win Roy.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_01]: And the bracelet dinner is kind of one of the first times we see him trying to win Mario over.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_01]: But very subtly.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_01]: Very subtly.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe not as far as dressing up.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_01]: Or maybe he wears something that like is so similar to what Dean's costume would have been that he would just kind of get paired together just because.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_01]: And like that's the excuse.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, well, he was wearing a shirt that looked like, you know, this character.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_01]: And so we just kind of
- 41:18[SPEAKER_01]: Went with that.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_01]: That's like Dean shows up and is like, oh, okay.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_00]: I know this would have required a lot more planning on our part because I just thought of it, but I really would love if Vory and Dean were supposed to be a couple's costume.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_00]: And then she makes lower light dress up as the Dean part of it.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_00]: But then whatever Jess is wearing, and whatever Rory's wearing, they look like a different couple.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_00]: Like whatever costume Rory has when she's with Jess, they look like a different.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_00]: couples cost you and so it feels like a little switcheroo but it would require like a lot of like in-depth thinking maybe this is something that our besties could like retroactively add to the story for us because I wouldn't I'd have to put a lot of thought until like how you would switch that around it maybe it's like not even like it's not even like the same story it's not even the same world it's just like whatever sheep for me was wearing when she was just it looked like an entirely
- 42:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and so like they now look like they're dressed up together, but like Jess is just dressed like Jess I also love the idea of maybe like
- 42:30[SPEAKER_01]: Bory and Laurelized switching, switching costume like like dressing is each other and maybe like because Josh shows up dressed like Lou, Bory and Jazz to each other.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_01]: Look like it's Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, R
- 42:54[SPEAKER_00]: like kind of dig it Luke and like worry and jasser dressed like more lion Luke that would be oh my gosh I would love that that was so fun I also love the idea of the two of them dressing up like the two of them
- 43:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, but I, yeah, I agree with you.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_01]: I think that we would have to like get really analytical about it to be like worry where's this costume expecting to be a couple's costume with Dean.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_01]: She asks her mom to dress up as the other half of this costume because she and Dean are not going to be together and when she shows up, she actually ends up looking kind of like she goes more with just
- 43:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but like Jess is not the costume that Dean was supposed to be, um, I guess like the only thing I could think of is like he looks like Danny's you go most of the time.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, maybe by the end of this we can come up with something, but I do think that that would be really interesting that kind of pair.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_01]: worrying just together, unknowingly, like very awkwardly, but I'm curious who else you think would be showing up to this.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_01]: Like, is Emily still coming?
- 44:01[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think?
- 44:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because she didn't get sick.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_01]: She didn't get sick.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_01]: So she would show up, would she bring Richard?
- 44:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, oh, I think that he had no intention of coming because of the D.A.R.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_01]: then maybe, because if you remember at the Bracebridge dinner, this is when
- 44:18[SPEAKER_01]: Emily finds out that we had a hard
- 44:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, oh, what would they do?
- 44:26[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, I forgot what they were last year.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_01]: I would love to see Richard and Emily show up as Gomez and Morticia Adams.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm just, that's exactly what I was like, that's what she's gonna say.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think Richard would allow Emily to put him in a costume like that?
- 44:44[SPEAKER_01]: I think that under these circumstances where he is like, lucid, fancy-free,
- 44:50[SPEAKER_01]: And feeling like, yeah, for even now, yes.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_01]: I think he possibly would do that.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_01]: I could also see them dressing up as something classic, like, for to stare in, that's what I was thinking more along with the lines of like, one of her little DVD movies that Laura likes to call, they would show up as that would be, I feel like they would look very dapper, very like.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, very like Downton Abby five.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, I can totally see that too.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, which is exactly what Richard looks like.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_01]: I was going to say that feels normal.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_00]: He looks like Mr. Downton Abby.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_00]: The figure of his name is Robert.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_01]: I don't.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't watch the show very seriously.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_01]: I don't really.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not as familiar with the characters.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, who else would show up?
- 45:35[SPEAKER_01]: That's kind of outside of this like immediate town jurisdiction.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_01]: Like would Paris be there?
- 45:40[SPEAKER_00]: Also, I think Paris would get invited totally.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I mean, she does end up just staying because she's dropping something off her glory.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, something similar, you know, maybe they have like extra costumes or something.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like maybe she just gets like a witch hat or something and it fits.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I love that that would be so funny.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_01]: If Laura, I just had like spare costumes in the back, maybe she's on like, oh, which is hot, similarly to what you were just saying about like the vampire tea, like someone just shows up in vampire tea, like Paris, which is like pop on this, which is had me like.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but but she's also like now talking about like the Salem Witch Trials and like telling everyone how like wrong that was Yeah, and it was like spewing facts about like witches.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, and then it was just like normal women totally.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_01]: I love that.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah So the only other characters that we haven't really talked about with our costumes would be at our lane, which I think she would show up as like a really niche
- 46:43[SPEAKER_00]: musicians similar to me like she and Bootsie can kiki over that yeah I feel like we should have the CD as reference like yeah with her and be like See see the resemblance yeah 100% and the Michelle oh oh my god Would we shall be someone like pop culturey like Celine Dion?
- 47:03[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like he chow up his Celine Dion, but I want to say last year we said he would also show up his Celine Dion.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I don't know why that's ringing about to me
- 47:11[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I do think that like I don't know a lot.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe Red Light on the wedding night when he hangs out with the drag queens like what he's so up as like a Drag queen pop star all us the leaned on or would he just be himself?
- 47:22[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe maybe he's working the event.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, where he feels like he's working So you know, I think he'd be the person who'd be wearing his like normal like Perfect suit with a little vampire teeth.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, because didn't he not come to the Bracebridge dinner?
- 47:36[SPEAKER_01]: I don't remember him being there
- 47:38[SPEAKER_01]: I don't remember.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like he was.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_01]: Why would he not have been?
- 47:41[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's just like I said bridge.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't embrace the bridge.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_01]: Correct me on that.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_01]: If that's untrue, but I'm not reminding him.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_01]: I ain't there.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_01]: I never watched that episode.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_01]: You know that.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_01]: I was so talking to our listeners.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, okay.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_00]: Not yet.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, look to me.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_00]: Um, yeah.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_01]: I was more so we're feeling at our job here.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_01]: wouldn't be the first time.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't remember if he's there or not.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_01]: Like a part of me wants to say no.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like he would be there, though.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_00]: He'd be there, but we have little teeth, vampire to lampere teeth.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe kind of grumbly because he had plans.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_00]: And now he has to work instead.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, totally.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_00]: I love you.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_00]: There was a Celine Dion concert.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_00]: He was going to go to it.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_00]: No, he would be at the Celine concert.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_00]: He wouldn't care.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_00]: He would be like five minutes.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_00]: He would get fired from work.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's like fire me.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm out.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like we shall Celine Dion in the entailer so after the same.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, factual.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_01]: Like, if you had anywhere else to be besides the Taylor Swift concert, you would be at the Taylor Swift concert.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_01]: So let's start at the beginning and kind of map this out.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_01]: So like we said before, the cold open is at Friday night dinner, right?
- 48:49[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_01]: So it opens with Emily sharing with them, you know, our Halloween plans are the same as they always are.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_01]: We're hosting a murder mystery dinner, but the day arm happening outside.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_01]: I love that.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_01]: I love it thunderstorms.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe our editor can make some thunder and lightning here.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_01]: I really slept on effects set the stage.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_01]: So they started a Friday night dinner.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Emily is sharing that she is throwing the murder mystery party for the D.A.R.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_01]: She does it every year.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_01]: it is something that's starting to feel a little monotonous.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_01]: The women are starting to be like, hey, we want something a little different this year, but Emily and likes things done a certain way.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_01]: She's a very, like, glad they're meant to repeat kind of lady when it comes to her events and she's very specific about what she likes.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe no one has told her directly, but she heard from someone who heard it a little bit.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_00]: But Ryan, that they were talking about Emily's murder mystery party getting a little stale.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_00]: And she was like, ooh, no.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_00]: And so her and Richard are like,
- 49:45[SPEAKER_00]: we're going to fix this.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and then Laura likes just like just have it somewhere else.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she very casually offhandedly is like, just have it somewhere else.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_01]: Just like somewhere else.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_01]: I love it being kind of like that conversation they've had in the past where they're like, but we always go to Europe in the spring.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're up still there in the fall, it is.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that it would kind of be like that, like, oh, doing it somewhere else, huh?
- 50:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_01]: OK.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_01]: And so they decide they're going to do it somewhere else, and that's kind of where they leave Friday night dinner.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like a really nice, happy harmonious moment.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_01]: You know, quickly, easily, whatever.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_00]: But outside this thunder storm.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, foreshadowing.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_01]: So then, of course, we have the opening credits.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_01]: We're in because having a conversation, maybe they're having breakfast together before school.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_01]: Pumpkin pancakes.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_01]: Pumpkin pancakes, and they're talking about how they have plans for Halloween to go trick or treating with Clara, my favorite person.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_00]: What does she dress like of us?
- 50:50[SPEAKER_00]: Probably like Peppa Pig, but like Peppa Pig wasn't like around in 2001.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_00]: So, what's something like equally like a telly-tubby, telly-tubby, or like blues clues?
- 51:02[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe blues clues.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, maybe she's a little bit too old for that.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_00]: Like a lacrosse window.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe Lizzy McQuire, is that?
- 51:08[SPEAKER_00]: Ooh, is that that age?
- 51:10[SPEAKER_00]: That might have been a little bit older.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm, I can't remember like as she going as like little cartoon Lizzie McGuire I know I can totally see her doing that.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_00]: That way not feel like the right time, but like I'm trying to figure out something like the that that vibe.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe she's a rug rat.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe she's in jellica.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_01]: Oh Okay, all right.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_01]: Something like something like something pop culturey from two thousand one that she would be maybe a Barbie Maybe a Barbie
- 51:38[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_01]: Claire is so interesting.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_01]: Like if you like Clara would go is like a I don't know or slick from the way he's rich dinner.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_01]: Like a unicorn, like a Lisa Frank unicorn.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_00]: My instant that was like the Windy's girl.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like you know like the logo.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_00]: He's a nurse like she's windy.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, but I wanted to be a horse.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why that was made for Tuesday.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, I don't know.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what she's saying.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_01]: She's a horse girl.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_01]: She's a horse girl.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_01]: She's a horse girl.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_00]: She's a horse girl.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_01]: She's a horse girl.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_00]: She's a horse girl.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_00]: She's a horse.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_00]: She's a horse.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_00]: And the reason she went steam to go with her is because Dean is going to be a cowboy.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, she wants him to wear like a hat like the to gun hat and like they're going to have a little western theme and she's making him you know, we're the little like bandana around his neck and they're like have a little brother sister costume and she's a fun to share something like that.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_01]: in season four.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_01]: Remember when here there's like a hold-down?
- 52:37[SPEAKER_00]: You're thinking of season five when he gets the, um, the slushy machine and Laura lies wearing that, that too.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_00]: Or like all the truckers are coming through.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_01]: I forgot about that.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I envision it being something like that.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, worries.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_01]: Also going to come and be a cowgirl?
- 52:57[SPEAKER_01]: yeah something like that but she's going to make it like a niche from maybe from a movie i don't know yeah john wing and i don't know something like she she has like some sort of reference that they're both just like what yeah
- 53:13[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, so they're talking about it.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_01]: They're excited.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_01]: Dean is kind of maybe talking about how he's like, yeah, I'm going cause I want to be a good brother.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_01]: Luke comes over.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_01]: He's pouring coffee.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_01]: He's such a cramudge in about Halloween.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_01]: You know, but I think worried likes Halloween.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_01]: Like I think she likes getting dressed up.
- 53:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so I think she's more excited than it.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's true.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't even think about Donna read.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_01]: No, but I think that there's still litifying their plans with each other for Halloween and we're expressing her excitement about Halloween.
- 53:39[SPEAKER_01]: She gets really into it and like I feel like that's okay.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_01]: Love's candy.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like that's also a reason why Dean is bringing her is because he's not really a Halloween person But where he is so that like he kind of thinks it pertains.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and maybe a loop kind of like reassures him of that like it's for kids Because he's not really a Halloween person as we come to find out in season 7 and he's not really an anything person He's not a holiday person
- 54:13[SPEAKER_01]: coffee and the kitchen is going to normally do chatty chatty moments.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_00]: I do feel like Jess is in the background of the first scene.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe he's reading a book.
- 54:20[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe he's reading Frankenstein.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's there, but he's not.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's reading Frankenstein.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's there, but I don't think he's necessarily like participating.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe if Dean leaves at one point to go to school and where he's still there.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe because she doesn't have her first class or like some of the reasons why she doesn't go to school is early.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_01]: Like Dean leaves and Jess comes by and he's like, I like Halloween.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm.
- 54:42[SPEAKER_00]: Oh How do I mean it's cool It's cool like you're like, why are you blushing?
- 54:49[SPEAKER_02]: I'm so excited.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why something.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, oh my god, jess Wait, it's bridged in her.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no, here we go.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_01]: I know So we like to see an event is in
- 55:00[SPEAKER_01]: Laurelite and Suki are together kind of chatting over coffee.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe Jackson is there like they're discussing there like full menu He's the squash guy squash blossoms.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_01]: You know like he's got to the poms You know like he's got the zucchini to make like zucchini soup and stuff like he is the guy.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_01]: I did not squash soup Uuyami That sounds really good
- 55:23[SPEAKER_01]: So they're kind of maybe bickering about the menu.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's their Emma's own season too.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to lead you.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe bickering about what they'll dress up for Halloween.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_00]: Ooh, I kind of love that.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's a lot of fun.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_01]: And then what do you think?
- 55:41[SPEAKER_01]: Like Michelle comes in and he says, you know, maybe he's like your mother's here.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think the setup of this is like where we're going is like of course like Emily is going to have this event at the end.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that Michelle booked it without really telling Laura live.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, because I think that maybe Emily was like, I want to do this.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's really in tomato mystery.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe he's like, oh, or maybe he's really into terrorizing Laura live.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_00]: So like one of the two possibly go either way.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_00]: And he's like, your mother's here and so she's like, oh, and so she goes out and she's like, I came to see In and what we're going to do and she was like, I didn't tell you.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_00]: I thought I told you.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, oh.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_00]: And so he kind of walks away and now she's like, like, Drops this in her lap and she's just like, okay.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe there's other members of the DAR there.
- 56:39[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that would be funny.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_01]: She kind of brought her little bitties with her.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so she can't be like, can't say no.
- 56:44[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 56:45[SPEAKER_00]: Like, or she can't be mean as she normally would.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_00]: And so she kind of has to like, say, face a little bit.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_01]: OK, all right.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_00]: So it's to not seem unprofessional and maybe get their business in the future.
- 57:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, I think that that's a good way to position X. I know we were talking about including Mia in this, but I just think that would make things too complicated.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Emily's already got the complication of Richard and everything that's been going on with him and how grouchy he's been.
- 57:15[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think that's kind of going to be her storyline in addition to trying to plan this mystery situation and like impress the D.A.R.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_01]: ladies, and they're all showing up and they're kind of like, oh, this would be the perfect place for our murder mystery.
- 57:30[SPEAKER_01]: So glad that we've chosen a different location and four LICs, how excited they are and her mom is now excited and she's like, Okay, Emily's also like and think about all the events that you could host here once we host this event and we could bring your business business You know, she's kind of strong army her, but also the rely as excited that like her mom has done something.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_01]: right and like she has like a soft spot for that so she's like oh okay I guess we're doing this yeah um Michelle would be like wouldn't this be so fun and she's like this is not a mystery who the murderer I don't think it's a mystery anymore yeah I love that
- 58:12[SPEAKER_01]: So then we go back to lower lives and maybe like Emily like very similarly to how it is in presenting lower like a more like Emily keeps calling like Yeah, calling keeps leaving messages thing after thing after thing and Lower light is like
- 58:30[SPEAKER_01]: starting to deeply regret this.
- 58:32[SPEAKER_01]: And she's been doing it about it to worry.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_01]: And for you, it's like, look, it's gonna be fun.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_01]: Like, aren't you excited to see grandma doing something that makes her happy?
- 58:39[SPEAKER_01]: And if she's happy, then we're happy and it brings you business.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_01]: And this could be a really good thing, you know?
- 58:45[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that maybe Lora lies like, oh, then maybe Lori's like, haven't you always wanted to terrorize your mother and her friends?
- 58:53[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and so she's kind of like, oh,
- 58:56[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I can like my smurder mystery.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_00]: They don't have any say in it.
- 59:00[SPEAKER_00]: I can make this a scary spooky as I want to Yes, she was like you're and worries like that's not what I meant like that's not she's like don't take this too far And she's like how far is too far.
- 59:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I love it.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's so funny.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_00]: I love she gets kind of like spooky about it Now because worry has like introduced this idea to her
- 59:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, unknowingly.
- 59:22[SPEAKER_00]: She was trying to encourage her, but now she's like, what have I done?
- 59:25[SPEAKER_01]: I've created a monster.
- 59:27[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe this is when we find out that Claire is going to be a horse and where he's going to have to dress up as a cowgirl.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, because I think the more like once worried to help, she's like, are you going to come help me?
- 59:36[SPEAKER_01]: I need you to help me.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_01]: And help me.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_01]: I can't because I'm going trick her treating.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_01]: I already made a commitment and she's like, I'm fine.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_01]: Have your good old time, you and Dean Brown hold hands while Claire
- 59:51[SPEAKER_01]: And then I think we have to throw in like a little chilton just like very briefly because I want to somehow get Paris there so like I think it's similar in how we usually get Paris introduced into an equation that brings her to stars hollow that she's like, hey we have to work this weekend.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_01]: What are you doing this weekend and where is like it's Halloween.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, and she's like, well, I plans.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_01]: What are your plans?
- 1:00:14[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, to go trick or treating.
- 1:00:17[SPEAKER_01]: And Paris is like, yeah, I've never been trick or treating in my life.
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_01]: In fact, instead of trick or treating, I used to read the constitution.
- 1:00:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, I'm not sure what she does.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's what she did.
- 1:00:34[SPEAKER_01]: yeah so or maybe this is where book maybe this is when she's like I used to read about the Salem witch trials instead of going trick or treating yeah now I'm an expert on the Salem witch trials yeah um no I love the conflict maybe it's scary because like because that's scary yeah
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, scarier than the foundation of this country.
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_00]: That's something she would want to do.
- 1:00:59[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that was always that same.
- 1:01:00[SPEAKER_00]: Paris could have done in the whole world.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_00]: You picked read the Constitution.
- 1:01:04[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, man.
- 1:01:06[SPEAKER_01]: I was under a pressure.
- 1:01:07[SPEAKER_01]: Got it.
- 1:01:07[SPEAKER_02]: Got it.
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, Boris, as she can, she has plans.
- 1:01:14[SPEAKER_00]: And that's good for the leave things.
- 1:01:16[SPEAKER_00]: So then I go to like the scene to include a little bit of Madeleine Louise.
- 1:01:19[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, of course.
- 1:01:20[SPEAKER_00]: Like a little bit of like what do you guys do it?
- 1:01:22[SPEAKER_00]: Just like we're going to a party, like I'm sure they're following the mean girls, like a skinny costume, but I was like, I was never done.
- 1:01:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, me too.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_01]: Go off.
- 1:01:32[SPEAKER_01]: Double angel.
- 1:01:33[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe that's what it is.
- 1:01:34[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe that's later my Paris ends up.
- 1:01:36[SPEAKER_00]: It starts hollow spoiler spoiler alert.
- 1:01:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's because she doesn't want to just want to go out with Madeline Louise She just want to go be a slutty angel What maybe that's the conversation is like what are you guys doing?
- 1:01:50[SPEAKER_01]: They're like we're throwing a Halloween party and she's like okay, and they're like, why don't you come with us?
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_01]: You can be our Slutty something.
- 1:02:00[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 1:02:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like maybe maybe Madeline's going as slutty Dorothy and
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, he's just going at the end.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they're like, you can be like slutty todo.
- 1:02:14[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, I could think of nothing I'd want to do less.
- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_02]: I was not the cowardly lion, maybe.
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, possible.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_01]: Very possible.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_01]: Or the scarecrow.
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_01]: But I just love the idea of Natalie and Louise being like, two guys want to come.
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, maybe Paris is like she's committed to it until yeah, she's like I'm just gonna do whatever's worries doing per Paris per Paris so so typical so then we go to the independence in and I feel like taking a page up the brief bridge dinner of it all like
- 1:02:45[SPEAKER_01]: This is kind of when Boralai is curraling people that she knows, you know, she can use to set up this murder mystery like Jackson and Roon And Kirk and like Roon doesn't fully understand the assignment.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_01]: He's kind of like so like we were saying earlier.
- 1:03:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like when do I get to do I murder someone and she's like Look at me in the eye
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_01]: this is pretend and tell them that you know we're not doing this.
- 1:03:15[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like all of them kind of chatting Yeah, and Jackson is so excited.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_01]: I think to be like the detective narrator and he's already got his Brace British dinner.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_01]: He's excited
- 1:03:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm free to be like excited.
- 1:03:26[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm armed into being Squire West Bridge.
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_00]: No, but I think he's excited to have the pipe for some reason.
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_00]: I see him preemptively holding the pipe in his hand.
- 1:03:36[SPEAKER_01]: Like, he's like, all of Kirk as Jesus in the last supper.
- 1:03:39[SPEAKER_01]: Like, he's just like already in his character.
- 1:03:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's already here for it.
- 1:03:44[SPEAKER_00]: And like,
- 1:03:46[SPEAKER_00]: At first, maybe Suki was like, I had to convince him but when he was like found out about the costume for it and who he got to be, he was like, okay, because now he's not having to wear tights.
- 1:03:55[SPEAKER_00]: He gets to wear like a little detective outfit.
- 1:03:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:03:58[SPEAKER_01]: I would love that for him.
- 1:04:00[SPEAKER_01]: I can't even just see that.
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_01]: So then, of course, Michelle comes in and Emily's on the phone.
- 1:04:06[SPEAKER_01]: Hands to phone to lower a lie and Emily is like, I'm so sorry.
- 1:04:09[SPEAKER_01]: We have to cancel.
- 1:04:10[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why, but like, all of the D.A.R.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_01]: ladies went to Bittie Charleston's house.
- 1:04:14[SPEAKER_01]: either they all were all in for the desk, they were all hiding under the desk, but either they like went out and had too much to drink or they like, well I think they all like had poisoning, yeah, so now they cannot come to this event.
- 1:04:32[SPEAKER_00]: Can Natalie come?
- 1:04:34[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe Natalie wasn't there.
- 1:04:35[SPEAKER_00]: Can there be Natalie there?
- 1:04:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, would that make you feel better?
- 1:04:38[SPEAKER_00]: I just love Natalie.
- 1:04:39[SPEAKER_00]: I don't remember.
- 1:04:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, she's got that big tree.
- 1:04:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:04:44[SPEAKER_00]: Um, okay.
- 1:04:45[SPEAKER_01]: I'll take that.
- 1:04:46[SPEAKER_01]: We do have a lot of people in attendance though.
- 1:04:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:04:48[SPEAKER_01]: But we can go over that in a second.
- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, either way, you know,
- 1:04:57[SPEAKER_01]: You know, she just so much effort so much effort into this and I want to say that this was planned like pretty hastily like I want to say that Emily
- 1:05:06[SPEAKER_01]: and Laurelire kind of discussing their plans for Halloween.
- 1:05:08[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not too far out from Halloween when she suddenly is like, hey, I'd like to host this here, you know, maybe it's the sort of thing of like Emily like hands over the plans to Laurelire.
- 1:05:19[SPEAKER_00]: And it's the thing of like when Laurel is like, you get to terrorize them a little bit.
- 1:05:23[SPEAKER_00]: So like Emily is expecting one thing, but like ends up getting another.
- 1:05:26[SPEAKER_00]: And like Suki like runs away with like the spooky scary menu and like,
- 1:05:33[SPEAKER_00]: Laura, I make it kind of like thunder lightning sort of scary vibes Yeah, that like Emily wasn't expecting and so maybe she put a lot of effort into the plans that were already supposed to just kind of like fall into place Yeah, that's maybe by she's a little sad because she was like I was getting excited for it.
- 1:05:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly like she definitely put a lot of effort
- 1:05:54[SPEAKER_01]: into this, especially being such a movie, but if I feel like she'd incorporate like things especially in the vein of Clue the movie which is such an iconic film, like other spooky scary stuff, maybe some young Frankenstein, like she'd like to show who did Clue, and that had to have a good more girls fall that one.
- 1:06:12[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, you're totally so good.
- 1:06:14[SPEAKER_01]: Love that movie, it's so good, and I've watched it in so long, I have to.
- 1:06:18[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, I feel like I'm going to watch it, and then I'm going to have all these ideas for this episode.
- 1:06:22[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 1:06:23[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.
- 1:06:23[SPEAKER_00]: We should have watched it before.
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_01]: We really should have.
- 1:06:25[SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, so all in all, the point is, the dinner has been canceled.
- 1:06:31[SPEAKER_01]: The murder mystery dinner has been canceled.
- 1:06:33[SPEAKER_01]: And Laura likes to tell everybody and she's super bummed and we end up similar only to the Bracebridge dinner at Luke's.
- 1:06:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's Laura Lysuki and worry and they're all chatting about it.
- 1:06:41[SPEAKER_01]: People in town are kind of scattered throughout and they have this conversation of like we put so much effort.
- 1:06:47[SPEAKER_01]: all of those, you know, all of that food, all of those un-eaten pillaments, and then it's like the aha moment of, why don't we just throw this for the for the town?
- 1:06:56[SPEAKER_01]: And people kind of start chiming in being like, yes, absolutely.
- 1:06:59[SPEAKER_01]: I do it.
- 1:06:59[SPEAKER_00]: I do it.
- 1:06:59[SPEAKER_01]: I do it.
- 1:07:00[SPEAKER_00]: I do it.
- 1:07:00[SPEAKER_01]: I bet it's like, I'll just leave a bowl of candy on my porch.
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_01]: Like, let's do this.
- 1:07:04[SPEAKER_01]: It sounds like fun.
- 1:07:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:07:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think the people are into it.
- 1:07:07[SPEAKER_01]: Luke, of course, is like,
- 1:07:09[SPEAKER_01]: Strong armed into it.
- 1:07:11[SPEAKER_00]: He's into it because he's into Laura lie.
- 1:07:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he can speak exactly.
- 1:07:15[SPEAKER_00]: Laura lie.
- 1:07:16[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 1:07:19[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not sure if here is where Dean should kind of either be there or come in because he's picking up takeout or something.
- 1:07:26[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like she'll open the next scene.
- 1:07:28[SPEAKER_01]: The only reason I'm thinking about him showing up here is so just can hear that he's not going to be there.
- 1:07:33[SPEAKER_01]: That's the only reason that I am hesitant to put him in the next scene.
- 1:07:38[SPEAKER_00]: having dinner with them, like, as Dean does.
- 1:07:42[SPEAKER_00]: And he's like, I know you want to do that instead.
- 1:07:45[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, well, I wonder if instead of we can put him in the next scene, because I do think it makes more sense for, like, maybe the two of them to, like, stumble upon each other.
- 1:07:55[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, hey, I have to do this.
- 1:07:57[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they're as Jess is kind of like cleaning up, maybe a table nearby, like, Laura says to, worry, like, I need you to be there.
- 1:08:05[SPEAKER_01]: Like, are you going to come?
- 1:08:06[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, no, I'm trick or treating with Dean.
- 1:08:08[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, please, please come.
- 1:08:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if that's a nice nature, but maybe where he's like, maybe I'll get out of it.
- 1:08:15[SPEAKER_01]: I'll try to get out of it.
- 1:08:16[SPEAKER_00]: Or maybe it's like, where he's kind of like, oh, this sounds like a lot of fun.
- 1:08:20[SPEAKER_00]: And she's like, he's really going to go trick or treating Cal girl.
- 1:08:22[SPEAKER_00]: Ooh, yeah, that feels like she's more in line.
- 1:08:25[SPEAKER_00]: And she's like, maybe Dean won't mind.
- 1:08:28[SPEAKER_00]: And Laura lays like, maybe he won't.
- 1:08:31[SPEAKER_01]: And Jess is kind of lingering nearby and leads to a conversation.
- 1:08:33[SPEAKER_01]: Ooh, I love it.
- 1:08:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I love a lingering dress.
- 1:08:37[SPEAKER_00]: I love a lingering story.
- 1:08:38[SPEAKER_00]: I, anyone watching on YouTube, my eyes are just like watering.
- 1:08:41[SPEAKER_00]: So that's okay.
- 1:08:42[SPEAKER_00]: We forget you.
- 1:08:42[SPEAKER_00]: I just think I'm sobbing over jazz.
- 1:08:43[SPEAKER_00]: Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha,
- 1:08:50[SPEAKER_01]: So then kind of like we were discussing, I feel like there's a scene afterwards because we've got to incorporate lanes somehow.
- 1:08:55[SPEAKER_01]: So like maybe Rory and Lane are chatting about the event and kind of discussing how Lane's gonna get out of her house because there's no way this is Kim was coming to this or letting her go to this.
- 1:09:07[SPEAKER_01]: Cause wasn't there a pamphlet that she,
- 1:09:10[SPEAKER_01]: hands um everybody at the uh dance marathon wasn't it like dancing with the devil yeah something like that I feel like that's exactly how she'd be about Halloween she'd be like this is dancing with the devil you know um oh i'm so sad we don't have Dave or Gowski yet in season 2 you know me too next year we'll do season 3
- 1:09:30[SPEAKER_01]: But I feel like this is where we run into Dean and she's like, hey, look, like, my mom asked me to do this thing and he's like, you want to go.
- 1:09:36[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, yeah, I want to go.
- 1:09:37[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, I totally understand, like, I'm sad.
- 1:09:40[SPEAKER_01]: I'm disappointed.
- 1:09:40[SPEAKER_01]: But like, I got it.
- 1:09:42[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I think she tries to convince him, like, why don't you bring Claire with you?
- 1:09:45[SPEAKER_01]: Like, why don't you guys come together?
- 1:09:47[SPEAKER_01]: And we've got to have horses.
- 1:09:51[SPEAKER_01]: What is this episode without horses?
- 1:09:53[SPEAKER_01]: What's a murder mystery that I always, yeah.
- 1:09:56[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think that, you know, she tries to convince him, hey, you guys should come and he's like, no, she really wants to go trick her treating.
- 1:10:01[SPEAKER_01]: Well, like, yeah, swing my afterwards, but, you know, if I, I know you guys are going to have a great time and it sounds like a lot of fun.
- 1:10:07[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, she'd be a little too scared.
- 1:10:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like, yeah, for he's like, it's like, it can be scary.
- 1:10:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they know.
- 1:10:13[SPEAKER_01]: Dun, dun, dun, yeah.
- 1:10:16[SPEAKER_01]: So that's kind of where they leave things.
- 1:10:19[SPEAKER_01]: And so Dean is not attending this murder mystery.
- 1:10:22[SPEAKER_01]: And that is where we leave it.
- 1:10:24[SPEAKER_01]: So then the next scene is the beginnings of this murder mystery.
- 1:10:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think there is some chaos behind the scenes.
- 1:10:29[SPEAKER_01]: I love that we get that in the Bracebridge dinner.
- 1:10:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:10:32[SPEAKER_01]: Kind of where it's like, Roon can put his pants on because thighs are too big or the pants are too small.
- 1:10:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:10:38[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe Laura, I mean, not for you.
- 1:10:40[SPEAKER_00]: Laura, my brother is reminding him again of like, do not murder anyone.
- 1:10:44[SPEAKER_00]: This is pretend this is pretend.
- 1:10:47[SPEAKER_01]: And we have decided that I think we should keep all of this to the confines of the independence.
- 1:10:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:10:52[SPEAKER_01]: because I think everybody in town is at this dinner.
- 1:10:57[SPEAKER_01]: Or most people in town who run businesses and stuff are at this dinner.
- 1:10:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:11:01[SPEAKER_01]: They don't want to tell Mrs. Kim is patty, you know, so like if they were running around town like that may be a really good Fanfiction episode for next year like Halloween.
- 1:11:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, sure.
- 1:11:08[SPEAKER_00]: Well, do we season three and Dave Regal ski will be a full next year.
- 1:11:13[SPEAKER_01]: I'd love that Oh, she did season one last year like we should have gone in sequential order.
- 1:11:18[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, fun.
- 1:11:18[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm glad we can see We could pop around make a pop around.
- 1:11:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're talking about right
- 1:11:23[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for next year.
- 1:11:24[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 1:11:25[SPEAKER_01]: We're already setting up for next year.
- 1:11:26[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 1:11:28[SPEAKER_01]: So okay, so here's who's in attendance.
- 1:11:30[SPEAKER_01]: So Emily is still coming and she's bringing Richard.
- 1:11:33[SPEAKER_01]: And I do like the idea and not only for Haley, I do think that like, or do you think she should bring Richard?
- 1:11:44[SPEAKER_01]: Because I feel like that's her, I feel like that's her storyline through this, not just the planning of the murder mystery that like things are not great at home with Richard and that's been kind of brewing up until this point.
- 1:11:55[SPEAKER_01]: And this is where the tension breaks.
- 1:11:57[SPEAKER_01]: in the Bracebridge dinner.
- 1:11:59[SPEAKER_01]: So do we want to have that same storyline for Emily and Richard?
- 1:12:02[SPEAKER_01]: Does he show up and he's a couple's costume with her?
- 1:12:04[SPEAKER_01]: They're doing something like French, English, yes.
- 1:12:06[SPEAKER_00]: Because something that she's really into that's very up her alley like that, where he's really enthusiastic about it, because it makes sense with a later storyline that we have to kind of unveil as well.
- 1:12:21[SPEAKER_00]: So I say yes, I think he's there in enthusiastic.
- 1:12:26[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, and I think he's into how scary it's getting.
- 1:12:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:12:30[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I just love, like, I love Richard's maniacal laugh.
- 1:12:34[SPEAKER_01]: Like when Richard does like his wah-ha, like I just like, that feels so in line with what he's doing, right?
- 1:12:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's gonna love it.
- 1:12:42[SPEAKER_01]: He usually doesn't love her D.A.R.R.
- 1:12:43[SPEAKER_01]: events, and he's like, I'm obsessed with this.
- 1:12:45[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go.
- 1:12:45[SPEAKER_01]: Well, like, this is great.
- 1:12:48[SPEAKER_01]: So I got Emily Richard.
- 1:12:52[SPEAKER_01]: So you've got Emily, Richard, and she brings Natalie, the only person who survived the food poisoning.
- 1:12:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:12:58[SPEAKER_01]: Because somebody doesn't eat whatever food was poisoned.
- 1:13:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:13:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:13:04[SPEAKER_01]: Laura Lyon, worry, of course.
- 1:13:06[SPEAKER_01]: Jess and Luke, but that and Laurie.
- 1:13:09[SPEAKER_01]: Lane and Paris, Paris shows up, I believe.
- 1:13:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, sort of in the midst of all of this.
- 1:13:13[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, I had to drop off something for you and she's like, this could have waited till Monday and she's like, I didn't want to go to the party.
- 1:13:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know, she kind of like, oh, yeah.
- 1:13:23[SPEAKER_00]: And that's when Laura L'Oixby and like, here, you can be a witch.
- 1:13:26[SPEAKER_00]: And then she's like, the Salem witch trial, which she's right all about, alongside the Constitution.
- 1:13:32[SPEAKER_00]: The Constitution.
- 1:13:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, her and Richard are like in mother constitution.
- 1:13:36[SPEAKER_01]: How I would love to see that.
- 1:13:37[SPEAKER_01]: Miss Patty Taylor, Rune and Jackson are working there.
- 1:13:42[SPEAKER_01]: Suki, of course, is the chef.
- 1:13:44[SPEAKER_01]: Bootsin has to be there, or I'm leaving.
- 1:13:47[SPEAKER_01]: Michelle is there with his, he's also kind of working.
- 1:13:50[SPEAKER_01]: He's meant to be working there.
- 1:13:52[SPEAKER_01]: And the person that we haven't really talked about is Kirk.
- 1:13:55[SPEAKER_01]: Kirk!
- 1:13:56[SPEAKER_01]: And the reason that we have really mentioned Kirk is because Kirk is going to be our victim.
- 1:14:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and he knows that he's the victim and he shows up dressed as the victim And everybody's like, he heard we're not supposed to know who the victim is and he's like, but I'm the victim And they're like, yeah, he's like, so how I needed to dress up like the victim It was supposed to be like a reveal, but yeah, he's like, no, the victim Which is funny because like I imagine he's like dressed like someone like
- 1:14:19[SPEAKER_00]: Expertered him.
- 1:14:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but like that's probably not the method in which this person was murdered So like maybe he like didn't wasn't sure so he like it's like a bunch of different methods Yeah, yeah, like like he's like has like a pile of poison and he's like been shot
- 1:14:38[SPEAKER_00]: And like all of these different ways that like someone could die.
- 1:14:41[SPEAKER_00]: He's like had a heart attack.
- 1:14:42[SPEAKER_00]: Like I don't know.
- 1:14:43[SPEAKER_00]: Like I don't know.
- 1:14:44[SPEAKER_00]: Like I love it is a nice digging out of him.
- 1:14:47[SPEAKER_00]: And he just seems like I wasn't sure how I was supposed to die.
- 1:14:50[SPEAKER_00]: So I just kind of chose everything.
- 1:14:51[SPEAKER_00]: I just got to pick everything.
- 1:14:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:14:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like everyone was like, oh, I love that.
- 1:14:57[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like mad at me would be like, how fun.
- 1:14:59[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 1:14:59[SPEAKER_01]: I think the whole time she's like,
- 1:15:05[SPEAKER_01]: And then I feel like they start in or they sit down and sukees very proud of all the food that she's made.
- 1:15:09[SPEAKER_01]: I loved your suggestion which was that like food keeps coming out and Emily is like you were going to serve this to my friends.
- 1:15:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like this is it's spooky.
- 1:15:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's like the soup is it's like tomato soup, but it's like red with like eyeballs And it looks like what and like pasta that looks like brains Yeah, and everything is super fun and super delicious and Emily's kind of like horrified Yeah, but like everyone's having a really good time especially Richard.
- 1:15:32[SPEAKER_00]: He's loving it And so I think that she's like Hard pressed to complain because he's having such a good time and so she's like, okay, maybe this is good like
- 1:15:45[SPEAKER_00]: She's like kind of horrified to be eating brain pasta, but like, yeah, it's like the Johnny Machoney, yeah, this is actually a minute so delicious.
- 1:15:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because it's soupy.
- 1:15:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, of course, of course, and Emily loves soupy.
- 1:15:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so then, you know, Jackson comes out kind of as like the there's been a murder and I feel like Kirk would be in the middle of eating he'd be like
- 1:16:10[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay.
- 1:16:10[SPEAKER_01]: And then just like fall face first in his boot.
- 1:16:15[SPEAKER_01]: That is the energy I feel him coming in with.
- 1:16:17[SPEAKER_01]: He is committed.
- 1:16:18[SPEAKER_01]: But I just don't think he knows like his kids.
- 1:16:21[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like the whole time Roon is just kind of lurking around and Laura lies like don't you dare.
- 1:16:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like she's doing that finger thing that like your mom does to you.
- 1:16:29[SPEAKER_00]: Like do you step in wanting more of it?
- 1:16:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:16:34[SPEAKER_01]: And so Jackson kind of sets everybody up for this murder mystery and they have to go throughout the independence and and find these clues.
- 1:16:43[SPEAKER_01]: in order, like, collecting clues in order to figure out who the murderer is.
- 1:16:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I feel like everyone gets like an envelope maybe, like, kind of telling them something.
- 1:16:54[SPEAKER_00]: But the best part about it is that they all have the names of like the DAR women.
- 1:16:59[SPEAKER_00]: And so it's like Emily gets Emily go more and not only gets, not only, no last name.
- 1:17:04[SPEAKER_00]: Like, share.
- 1:17:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:17:07[SPEAKER_00]: But like Kirk, it's been Charleston, who was supposed to be revealed as the victim, but like he was like told.
- 1:17:13[SPEAKER_00]: So they all have, so they also have like, this is element of like none of them have the right names either, because it was supposed to be for the DR. Yeah.
- 1:17:21[SPEAKER_00]: And Laura lies like, well, I forgot to change that.
- 1:17:24[SPEAKER_00]: But
- 1:17:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:17:25[SPEAKER_01]: But I'd like to pair them up because I think that, you know, the drama that really unfolds is it has very little to do with them getting the clues and figuring out who the murder is.
- 1:17:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:17:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's all about, you know, what transpires, similarly to the Bracebridge dinner in these conversations that they have.
- 1:17:41[SPEAKER_01]: like Emily and Richard, who have been having these weird problems because Richard has been so grouchy and she can't figure out why.
- 1:17:47[SPEAKER_01]: And now all of a sudden, he's totally fine.
- 1:17:49[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I think that Laura and Luke could probably, you know, pair up, I wonder if she knows or if Jackson, I think that Jackson was meant to when they decide to make this a town he's saying, Laura is like, I want to play too.
- 1:18:01[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to have you choose who the murderer is.
- 1:18:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because I don't want to know.
- 1:18:06[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think that she's playing and I think she and Luke,
- 1:18:11[SPEAKER_01]: get, you know, paired together, or they'd be up.
- 1:18:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, obviously, but they're like, morey.
- 1:18:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't think I've ever been pairing up like, according to like, okay, I don't think you're the murderer, but we're going to figure it out together.
- 1:18:21[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe you like, little group start forming as they go through, and like, this is how we like break off into like little scenes that like are just like between two or three people, it's a kind of like,
- 1:18:32[SPEAKER_00]: You know, move the story along, but maybe they keep switching up because they're like maybe you're the murderer I just love the idea of Bebetmorey kind of getting into like a little spat of like it is you and they like how they exploded with the groups That's so much Um, I think this would be for you.
- 1:18:50[SPEAKER_01]: I was gonna say I think that it would be kind of fun to figure out how Jess and Roy get paired up together Because I'm kind of looking at this going lean is not here with her mom.
- 1:18:57[SPEAKER_01]: She's not gonna get paired up with her so
- 1:19:00[SPEAKER_01]: who is she going to get paired up with, maybe Paris, or maybe Suki snatches her because Suki is playing, and Jackson won't tell her who the murderer is, but he knows who the murderer is.
- 1:19:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it is.
- 1:19:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:19:12[SPEAKER_00]: And so I think that we're in Suki.
- 1:19:15[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, Jackson won't tell Suki and Suki's mad about it.
- 1:19:18[SPEAKER_00]: And so Suki's like, come on, Lane, and then Paris kind of just like, totally the one with them.
- 1:19:23[SPEAKER_01]: I think Paris and Natalie would be a really good.
- 1:19:26[SPEAKER_00]: Really interesting.
- 1:19:27[SPEAKER_01]: She'd be really intrigued.
- 1:19:28[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe she actually knows her knows of her.
- 1:19:30[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe like maybe Paris is like let me talk to you about the Sailor Witch Trials Yes, Paul's or she's like sure.
- 1:19:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think it would be interesting not only would be like great.
- 1:19:38[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go with the flow Yeah, but I think she's also dressed as a witch Oh, fine.
- 1:19:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's very fine.
- 1:19:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but I think that that's kind of how we're in just get pair together
- 1:19:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and this one their costumes, which on the mind.
- 1:19:54[SPEAKER_01]: I still don't know what that would be.
- 1:19:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I still love the idea of it though that they like in the looking like each other like they match together.
- 1:20:02[SPEAKER_00]: Totally.
- 1:20:03[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so
- 1:20:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think that, like, as we kind of move through this little, like, who done it, we're really kind of moving through these conversations that we do get a lot of fees in the Brace Birch dinner.
- 1:20:18[SPEAKER_01]: I think for Jess and Lori, it's, you know, why are you dating Dean?
- 1:20:22[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like wire us that for Emily and Richard, it's like, you know, I don't know how he reveals that he's no longer.
- 1:20:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's a little bit later, but like they're having like a fun time going through the clues and like He doesn't reveal that he's retiring in when they're in the slay When they're like writing around.
- 1:20:43[SPEAKER_00]: They're just kind of having a fun time and that's usually going to the On a roller coaster.
- 1:20:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, so maybe it's a conversation like that, but I wonder if maybe Rory and
- 1:20:54[SPEAKER_00]: just like just kind of follows for me initially because like at this point they're not like solidified as being like pals they're kind of just like keep like watching each other so maybe Rory's kind of off by herself and just like accompanies her and they like cross paths.
- 1:21:11[SPEAKER_00]: Exidently because he's been following her.
- 1:21:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, so For a mix up following you like you're just trying to copy my clues Yeah, they like and we found out maybe that's how a lot of you know people are going about it And then they just kind of end up in pairs, you know And I do think that's a really fun way to get Jess and Bri
- 1:21:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, together.
- 1:21:37[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe Luke and Laura lie in up together because something's on wrong.
- 1:21:40[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe Luke is going to fix something for her.
- 1:21:43[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe one of the clues has gotten something to do lodged between something.
- 1:21:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:21:49[SPEAKER_01]: And he's there to be more of like a handyman.
- 1:21:50[SPEAKER_01]: And that's how they end up chatting.
- 1:21:52[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think they're chatting about Jess?
- 1:21:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think so.
- 1:21:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think that maybe it's kind of the same conversation.
- 1:21:59[SPEAKER_00]: I like thematically that this is kind of like fitting into the same spot, even though it doesn't because it is winter, but like total, of course.
- 1:22:06[SPEAKER_00]: It still fits.
- 1:22:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but like how it's just doing in school.
- 1:22:09[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like she doesn't really want to talk about him because obviously they've had their differences and he was really really rude to her.
- 1:22:16[SPEAKER_01]: But maybe kind of like, uh, yeah, how are things going kind of,
- 1:22:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I feel like this would thematically work really well too because Laura Lied like well all of the clues point to know Like that sort of thing like I feel like the language that they're using is that like This is it's not it's not it's no mystery to anyone but you that he is not enjoying his time here.
- 1:22:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, totally
- 1:22:41[SPEAKER_01]: But then I think that we can kind of cut back and forth between everybody.
- 1:22:44[SPEAKER_01]: And the twist that I would love to throw in there is that, you know, Jess and Warrior chatting.
- 1:22:50[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they're up in the bedroom looking for clues.
- 1:22:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:22:53[SPEAKER_01]: And who's like in?
- 1:22:55[SPEAKER_01]: But teeny babies.
- 1:22:57[SPEAKER_01]: Because Fricker treating has ended early, because nobody is at their houses.
- 1:23:01[SPEAKER_01]: He's bought her candy.
- 1:23:04[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, isn't that nice?
- 1:23:05[SPEAKER_00]: That's nice.
- 1:23:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, another Dean compliment.
- 1:23:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:23:10[SPEAKER_00]: Two and one episodes.
- 1:23:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I feel like maybe there's like an array of like props that like have been used as like clues.
- 1:23:18[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's just like a rope and like a plastic axe.
- 1:23:21[SPEAKER_00]: And they're just both standing in there holding it and Dean locks in.
- 1:23:23[SPEAKER_00]: And then he's like, let's go on this happening here.
- 1:23:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and he just has a little sack of maybe one of those plastic pumpkin.
- 1:23:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he was like, I trick or treated for you and he got her a bunch of candy.
- 1:23:35[SPEAKER_00]: So do you think he gets mad?
- 1:23:37[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think at this point he's getting mad.
- 1:23:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's like kind of that thing of like what are you doing here?
- 1:23:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, we're looking for clues and he's like about your candy and she's like, that's so nice.
- 1:23:46[SPEAKER_00]: So like, just make some sort of comment about like, I don't know.
- 1:23:49[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that's so cute.
- 1:23:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:23:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:23:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:23:53[SPEAKER_00]: Like so sweet candy reference.
- 1:23:56[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
- 1:23:57[SPEAKER_00]: There you go.
- 1:23:58[SPEAKER_00]: Any kind of just like slithers out of the room.
- 1:24:00[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay.
- 1:24:01[SPEAKER_01]: So he's not gonna like it's not gonna be like the three of them now looking for.
- 1:24:06[SPEAKER_00]: Because I want to, because it's not quite that somatically yet in the show, I'm trying to think of that, maybe other people come in, and they're like, maybe they're there, and there's kind of like this tension of like, ooh, what were you guys doing?
- 1:24:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:24:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:24:23[SPEAKER_00]: And then other people start to come in because like everyone's looking for everybody's looking for the clues.
- 1:24:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, totally.
- 1:24:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's interesting, it's like Luke and Laura Lye walked in and then like it turned into kind of just and Luke going off by themselves and Laura Lye and Laurie and Dean kind of stay together kind of a thing.
- 1:24:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and maybe Laura Lye's like, hmm, candy for me, but just as like that backwards glance of like, hmm, it's going on here.
- 1:24:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, just like or like Luke said, come on.
- 1:24:48[SPEAKER_00]: We got to talk or like, I need your helper.
- 1:24:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, something to come out.
- 1:24:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, something to come out.
- 1:24:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it gets them out of there.
- 1:24:54[SPEAKER_01]: I love that.
- 1:24:55[SPEAKER_01]: Okay,
- 1:24:57[SPEAKER_01]: You know, is it the kind of situation when they're like, come on, we're all going to the lobby to see who has figured out who the murderer is?
- 1:25:03[SPEAKER_01]: Or do we want to cut back to Emily and Richard before we do that?
- 1:25:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think that maybe we're following them into the lobby.
- 1:25:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like, maybe someone has figured out who the murderer is.
- 1:25:14[SPEAKER_00]: Um, someone has like all of the clues have led to X, um, um, and so everyone's coming back, and so maybe they're having like a lovey-dovey moment after like, you know, they had been like half-heartedly looking for clues because they were having a nice little fun time, um, and so everyone's heading back to the lobby.
- 1:25:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:25:32[SPEAKER_00]: And, um, maybe someone, maybe there's several people who have guesses about who the murderer is.
- 1:25:38[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:25:39[SPEAKER_00]: And so I think everyone's guessing.
- 1:25:42[SPEAKER_01]: And they're all like, I think Jackson, I think that we walk in on Bootsie guessing and explaining his logic.
- 1:25:48[SPEAKER_01]: Um, because that's a logic logic.
- 1:25:51[SPEAKER_01]: Well, but that's why I want to know.
- 1:25:53[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 1:25:54[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but I think they're all like you said.
- 1:25:57[SPEAKER_01]: They're all kind of like going back and forth.
- 1:25:58[SPEAKER_01]: They're like, no, I thought that it was this person.
- 1:26:00[SPEAKER_01]: No, this person, this person.
- 1:26:02[SPEAKER_01]: And then we like, this makes sense because of this.
- 1:26:04[SPEAKER_01]: And they're all like Jackson, like, who is it?
- 1:26:06[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like,
- 1:26:09[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I never handed out the card.
- 1:26:12[SPEAKER_01]: Or he's like, I don't know.
- 1:26:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's like, I don't know.
- 1:26:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't have it.
- 1:26:15[SPEAKER_01]: What if Rune was supposed to hand out the card?
- 1:26:16[SPEAKER_01]: Ha ha ha.
- 1:26:18[SPEAKER_01]: What if Rune is the murderer?
- 1:26:19[SPEAKER_01]: And he just has not been playing this whole time?
- 1:26:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like, what if he had the murderer or a card and didn't give it to somebody?
- 1:26:24[SPEAKER_01]: Because he was like, I thought I was the murderer.
- 1:26:26[SPEAKER_01]: And Laura, I was like, how many times do I have to tell you?
- 1:26:30[SPEAKER_00]: You are not murdering her.
- 1:26:31[SPEAKER_00]: You are not murdering her.
- 1:26:33[SPEAKER_00]: Or maybe Jackson, it's Jackson looking at Laura like, I'm playing the game.
- 1:26:37[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 1:26:37[SPEAKER_00]: You have the murderers.
- 1:26:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:26:39[SPEAKER_00]: And then it turns out no one is no one was the murderer.
- 1:26:43[SPEAKER_00]: And like, Bob, that's kind of like, it wasn't about the murder.
- 1:26:47[SPEAKER_00]: Murderer was about the murdering all along.
- 1:26:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like the fun that we had along the way.
- 1:26:54[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 1:26:54[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's great.
- 1:26:56[SPEAKER_01]: That feels like a very, very star's hollow ending.
- 1:26:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:26:59[SPEAKER_00]: To like just kind of be like, there was no one who murdered anyone.
- 1:27:03[SPEAKER_00]: And Kirk is kind of like, well, what happened?
- 1:27:06[SPEAKER_00]: Why is it so effective in the murder?
- 1:27:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:27:09[SPEAKER_00]: How did I get here?
- 1:27:11[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you put yourself there, buddy.
- 1:27:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:27:13[SPEAKER_01]: You put yourself there.
- 1:27:14[SPEAKER_01]: The king goes down true, but it just comes in from like, stage left and is like,
- 1:27:19[SPEAKER_01]: put yourself there, buddy, put yourself there.
- 1:27:22[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe he's been helping with the event.
- 1:27:24[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe he's been doing so well.
- 1:27:28[SPEAKER_00]: But I feel like maybe they're like enjoying a nice bed afterwards, like everyone's kind of like what happened, and this is when Richard reveals.
- 1:27:36[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you know what I was thinking.
- 1:27:37[SPEAKER_00]: I wonder if Natalie knows who she's, ooh, wait, about Richard?
- 1:27:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:27:42[SPEAKER_01]: Ooh, I would hate Mike's like, well, maybe she knows because her husband told her.
- 1:27:46[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it was like, so I heard, so how is, how was this going?
- 1:27:50[SPEAKER_01]: I heard so and so.
- 1:27:52[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, wow.
- 1:27:52[SPEAKER_01]: So he told someone else and I got back to her.
- 1:27:55[SPEAKER_01]: Emily is like, what?
- 1:27:57[SPEAKER_01]: Oh.
- 1:27:58[SPEAKER_01]: Because I don't know if the reason that Natalie and Emily know each other is exclusively because they're in the DAR.
- 1:28:04[SPEAKER_01]: or if Richard works with her husband, probably a little bit of both.
- 1:28:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:28:11[SPEAKER_00]: No, at first I was like, no, I don't want it to seem like they're cheating.
- 1:28:13[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 1:28:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, or we could just have it be the same situation that it is at the braced bridge dinner where everybody's chatting and Taylor and him are having a conversation.
- 1:28:28[SPEAKER_01]: Taylor, we're doing magic tricks.
- 1:28:30[SPEAKER_00]: I, of course.
- 1:28:32[SPEAKER_00]: I want nothing more.
- 1:28:33[SPEAKER_00]: Well, this is happening.
- 1:28:34[SPEAKER_00]: And like, I kind of like the idea of not really being like, oh, this must be so exciting.
- 1:28:39[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of your first name on the town.
- 1:28:41[SPEAKER_01]: Now that you're retired.
- 1:28:42[SPEAKER_01]: And Emily is like, excuse me, yeah.
- 1:28:45[SPEAKER_01]: Spooky scary and ends up being scarier than it could have ever been for her.
- 1:28:48[SPEAKER_01]: He would have thunder and lightning.
- 1:28:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:28:52[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe the lights go out.
- 1:28:53[SPEAKER_00]: You don't even love it when lights go out.
- 1:28:54[SPEAKER_00]: That's what the power goes out.
- 1:28:57[SPEAKER_01]: Perfect.
- 1:28:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:28:58[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe the power out is someone.
- 1:29:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, someone but bad screams crooks to the floor.
- 1:29:05[SPEAKER_01]: We were just like, what was that?
- 1:29:06[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, I don't know, someone stepped on my foot.
- 1:29:09[SPEAKER_00]: It was her.
- 1:29:09[SPEAKER_01]: Can you just wanted something fun to happen?
- 1:29:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he just turned the lights out.
- 1:29:15[SPEAKER_00]: He's like bumped it.
- 1:29:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I love it.
- 1:29:18[SPEAKER_00]: And it's kind of just like they're in that place.
- 1:29:20[SPEAKER_00]: They leave the parties kind of over.
- 1:29:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but like they all had a fun time and maybe worries leaving with Dean with her little Halloween pumpkin bucket of candy he got for her at Jess and we never decided I guess what this event is called I guess just
- 1:29:38[SPEAKER_00]: Murder mystery.
- 1:29:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the Gilmore murder mystery.
- 1:29:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and we still get the glance though.
- 1:29:45[SPEAKER_00]: We have to keep the glance.
- 1:29:46[SPEAKER_00]: We have to get the glance.
- 1:29:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but then I really I really like the idea of this evening ending or rather this episode ending with a walk through town and stealing another plot point from another episode from ins and outs of ins and they're like walking up to Luke's
- 1:30:05[SPEAKER_00]: to go to breakfast, of course, and there's the chalk outline, and everyone is like, wait, I thought there was an aburter, don't, don't, don't, don't, and then nothing but another glance of just sitting across the street and worries like, hmm, and then we pan out and get a little, I got like that, I love that, it's fine, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:30:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like this year's episode.
- 1:30:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure.
- 1:30:32[SPEAKER_01]: They're definitely some parts to still flesh out.
- 1:30:34[SPEAKER_01]: Like there are some details I'd really want to weave in there.
- 1:30:37[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I'm still good.
- 1:30:39[SPEAKER_00]: I think I'd still want to weave in some details of just being a little bit.
- 1:30:43[SPEAKER_00]: A cues of being a trickster.
- 1:30:46[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that would make the ending that you just described.
- 1:30:51[SPEAKER_01]: A lot more delicious.
- 1:30:53[SPEAKER_01]: You know, that like he's accused of things throughout the entire episode and like and they don't always like he need to it.
- 1:30:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:31:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and they all like or not.
- 1:31:02[SPEAKER_00]: You do it.
- 1:31:02[SPEAKER_00]: But, but, um, cause like it's explained why it happened.
- 1:31:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:31:08[SPEAKER_00]: And so then they're like, oh, it wasn't just.
- 1:31:10[SPEAKER_00]: And then here it is.
- 1:31:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's like yeah.
- 1:31:14[SPEAKER_00]: I'm still a little mischievous.
- 1:31:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and we get a gliance.
- 1:31:17[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I love a gliance.
- 1:31:19[SPEAKER_00]: I love a gliance.
- 1:31:20[SPEAKER_00]: We love a gliance.
- 1:31:21[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even think it's funny.
- 1:31:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:31:24[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like there's stuff that can be fleshed out, like, what, Roy and Justice Costumes.
- 1:31:29[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of like, end up mad definitely.
- 1:31:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and like, really solidifying nose.
- 1:31:32[SPEAKER_01]: But all in all, I really like this.
- 1:31:35[SPEAKER_01]: I like the complexities of it.
- 1:31:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's definitely something that would happen.
- 1:31:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's a lot of fun.
- 1:31:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I feel like it also leaves room for like what could happen in next year's Halloween episode because I already have like kind of thoughts and ideas based on what we were saying in this I know, but I need to write down.
- 1:31:50[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 1:31:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to remember you're from now definitely not neither while I like that.
- 1:31:55[SPEAKER_01]: Put it in your pocket next year.
- 1:31:57[SPEAKER_01]: I shall.
- 1:31:58[SPEAKER_01]: I shall.
- 1:31:59[SPEAKER_01]: I will.
- 1:32:00[SPEAKER_01]: I shall.
- 1:32:00[SPEAKER_01]: But our next episode as promised is our Logan Gilmour to consider.
- 1:32:03[SPEAKER_01]: We know a lot of you had thoughts and feelings.
- 1:32:05[SPEAKER_01]: So we are going to respond to that.
- 1:32:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, more talking about my man.
- 1:32:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I love.
- 1:32:11[SPEAKER_01]: I know you do and we'll have more to say on that in the next episode.
