- 1:59Speaker 4: we're here to talk about Daredevil Born Again Episode three,
- 2:02Speaker 4: so let's get right into it. Shit fucked up faan
- 2:05Speaker 4: like then, you know, like I need that, uh the
- 2:08Speaker 4: meme of my man, not Walter White.
- 2:10Speaker 1: U What's what's Walter White's boy? Jesse?
- 2:12Speaker 4: I need to he can't get with like fam Like
- 2:17Speaker 4: someone asked us in the YouTube comments and they said,
- 2:21Speaker 4: if I haven't seen Daredevil Born Again, you know, I mean,
- 2:25Speaker 4: if I haven't seen the first Dared Devil, can I
- 2:27Speaker 4: enjoy this new Born Again series? And I said, Well,
- 2:30Speaker 4: the showrunner says you can. And then that was before
- 2:32Speaker 4: I seen episode three, and then after I watched episode three,
- 2:35Speaker 4: I wanted to go back and tell them, well, you know,
- 2:38Speaker 4: it doesn't fucking matter if you've seen the original, because
- 2:41Speaker 4: this one's gonna break your heart even though you haven't
- 2:44Speaker 4: seen them the beginning. From the beginning, you're gonna fall
- 2:47Speaker 4: in love with the character, and then it's gonna break
- 2:49Speaker 4: your fucking heart in episode three, like.
- 2:51Speaker 1: It did to me.
- 2:52Speaker 4: Because none of us knew Hector Ayala the White Tiger
- 2:56Speaker 4: before this series started. Unless you were a com of
- 2:58Speaker 4: a fan, you've never seen him in them, see you.
- 3:00Speaker 4: I quickly grew to love the character that after playing them,
- 3:03Speaker 4: did a magnificent job in the three episodes that he
- 3:07Speaker 4: was in.
- 3:08Speaker 2: And also, rest in peace.
- 3:10Speaker 4: I mean we'll get I mean, I mean yeah straight
- 3:14Speaker 4: up first yeah for real in real life. Rest in
- 3:17Speaker 4: peace to the actor. I don't have his name right
- 3:19Speaker 4: in front of me.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Com On de los Rez passed away from cancer last year.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Fuck cancer.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Combat cancer as always sucks because delivered a commanding performance
- 3:35Speaker 4: to me in these three episodes. And then his character
- 3:40Speaker 4: caught the hot one and I I was tight, fam,
- 3:44Speaker 4: I like I was in the group chat. Immediately in
- 3:47Speaker 4: the Four Nerds group chat, I was tight y'all immediately,
- 3:50Speaker 4: and I didn't want to spoil it for the rest
- 3:52Speaker 4: of the fans in there, the fan fam, you know.
- 3:54Speaker 4: And then so I was just like, yo, fam, I
- 3:57Speaker 4: hate this fucking show right now. That was my response
- 3:59Speaker 4: after seeing him.
- 4:00Speaker 2: So three, how much did you know of White Tiger?
- 4:03Speaker 4: I was, like I said, a big fan, just because
- 4:06Speaker 4: he was one of the rare Latin characters that I
- 4:08Speaker 4: grew up with. He was in Power Man and Iron Fist,
- 4:12Speaker 4: a comic book which was it was not the biggest
- 4:14Speaker 4: hit of a comic book because of that Power Man
- 4:16Speaker 4: a black dude, and I liked Iron Fesst a lot
- 4:19Speaker 4: as a character. I was always a big fan of
- 4:21Speaker 4: that comic. So I read that, you know, pretty heavy
- 4:24Speaker 4: as a kid, even though you know, nobody else was
- 4:26Speaker 4: for the most part. And White Tiger was in that joint.
- 4:29Speaker 4: So and he was rarely in a and like I
- 4:32Speaker 4: said before, in earlier episodes, he just had the coolest costume.
- 4:35Speaker 4: And then he had a little jade tiger, you know.
- 4:37Speaker 4: I was like, oh, that's so fly, you know what
- 4:38Speaker 4: I mean. My man got a little ambulet necklace. You know,
- 4:41Speaker 4: like my man rocking around with Joel's on.
- 4:43Speaker 1: You know what I mean. He can't beat the superhero
- 4:47Speaker 1: who has Juel's on, you know what I mean.
- 4:49Speaker 4: So I was down for it all that ice. I
- 4:51Speaker 4: was loving it. But yeah, so I was really hyped
- 4:54Speaker 4: to see him translated to the screen and you know,
- 4:57Speaker 4: my man beats the case. You know, looks on the suit,
- 5:00Speaker 4: you know, it has the classic look at me, I'm
- 5:02Speaker 4: looking fresh looking fly while the hot ones.
- 5:05Speaker 3: You know, I'm gonna be honest with you, I didn't
- 5:08Speaker 3: know how they beat that case.
- 5:10Speaker 2: I was sure that was going to jail. Come on,
- 5:14Speaker 2: this is.
- 5:14Speaker 4: The nypditious son, I like, because that was something I've
- 5:20Speaker 4: really enjoyed this episode, especially the court scene. Like I
- 5:23Speaker 4: remember they're talking about how this show they were looking
- 5:27Speaker 4: and making more of a courtroom drama and it didn't
- 5:30Speaker 4: work that way, and then they revamped it and this
- 5:32Speaker 4: is the Born Again that we got now. But watching
- 5:35Speaker 4: that courtroom drama, I'm like, this is something I could
- 5:37Speaker 4: get for. It was something that it didn't. We saw
- 5:41Speaker 4: a little bit and chihole, But that's what I was
- 5:43Speaker 4: looking for from both of these is you know, Matt
- 5:46Speaker 4: defending superpowered you know, criminals, organestes.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Right, I agree with you.
- 5:54Speaker 3: I like the fact that he's I mean, that's also
- 5:56Speaker 3: his premise, right, he's defending not to say, the helpless,
- 5:59Speaker 3: but defending those those who need defense, right, defending those
- 6:01Speaker 3: who who's down bad, who are it's not getting a
- 6:05Speaker 3: fair shape stuff like that, right, yep. And the other
- 6:09Speaker 3: part of the procedural court drama where I was concerned about,
- 6:13Speaker 3: which is where like she Hulk failed, is that I
- 6:16Speaker 3: didn't want the whole thing to be centered around Understand,
- 6:18Speaker 3: he's the lawyer, but I didn't want the whole thing
- 6:20Speaker 3: he centered around him being in the court.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Yes, he's in court a lot.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Yes you see the courthouse, but there's other shit happening, right, Like,
- 6:26Speaker 3: it's not center to the narrative of the show. Like, yes,
- 6:31Speaker 3: that's one of the places where Matt Murdoch lives, but
- 6:34Speaker 3: he's also fucking Daredevil and dere Derevil is about the streets.
- 6:37Speaker 3: So I want to see a good balanced combination of
- 6:41Speaker 3: the streets as long with the court. And that's what
- 6:44Speaker 3: I feel like they've done so far and are doing
- 6:47Speaker 3: as they continue this series.
- 6:49Speaker 2: So I think I like how they did it. I
- 6:52Speaker 2: like their approach, and I think I like the post
- 6:53Speaker 2: because it's balanced to me. But that to say all
- 6:57Speaker 2: that's all that, don't do it, but let us.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Go back that way.
- 7:03Speaker 2: There's no fucking way, bro.
- 7:04Speaker 4: And like I said, I was really enjoying the courtroom
- 7:07Speaker 4: drama this episode. I thought Matt presented a great you
- 7:11Speaker 4: know case and then great argument and then my man
- 7:15Speaker 4: on the stands you know, with.
- 7:17Speaker 1: The because it was the right thing, because you know
- 7:21Speaker 1: how they had an echo on that last.
- 7:25Speaker 2: I said, because it was the right thing, you know.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Yeah, it was great.
- 7:28Speaker 4: But then my man, you know, for the cops, you know,
- 7:32Speaker 4: for the city, came back vicious on that.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Head and I was like, you know, I don't give
- 7:37Speaker 1: funk about the right thing. You know, my man's right.
- 7:39Speaker 4: You know, the wrong person can do the right thing sometimes,
- 7:42Speaker 4: like this dude might be the wrong person.
- 7:45Speaker 1: So I thought he was doing the jail for sure,
- 7:50Speaker 1: I guess just yeah.
- 7:51Speaker 2: But they played it.
- 7:52Speaker 3: They still played it well because you actually touched upon
- 7:55Speaker 3: something that I ended up experiencing as a viewer, right
- 7:59Speaker 3: like you mentioned previously. Also you mentioned that the way
- 8:04Speaker 3: it looked in that courtroom, the way the camera, the
- 8:07Speaker 3: positioning of the direction on that, like how every time
- 8:10Speaker 3: they said anything about cops you've got, you panned over
- 8:14Speaker 3: to the fifty eleven cops in the corner staring down,
- 8:17Speaker 3: and it's just like, say something, Nigga. And then even
- 8:20Speaker 3: like like Daredevil, excuse me, Matt Murray, like he's standing there,
- 8:23Speaker 3: he hears them saying so and so can't testify, like
- 8:25Speaker 3: he hear them whispering their heinous acts.
- 8:28Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying, Like you just see them.
- 8:30Speaker 1: The was rising in this episode, right.
- 8:33Speaker 3: And I know, like you said, plot army, he has
- 8:36Speaker 3: to be he got to get free.
- 8:37Speaker 2: But I was just like I didn't think he was
- 8:39Speaker 2: gonna get free.
- 8:40Speaker 3: I in fact, was with his wife when they were
- 8:42Speaker 3: sitting there like he's not guilty.
- 8:44Speaker 2: I said, oh my god, Jesus, he got it.
- 8:46Speaker 3: He got like I literally felt how they felt like
- 8:49Speaker 3: Nigga actually worked. Listen, Matt gave on a great speech
- 8:55Speaker 3: and he really defended the shit out of out of
- 8:58Speaker 3: White Tiger.
- 8:59Speaker 2: But he didn't go last. And that's what and that's
- 9:01Speaker 2: what the thing.
- 9:02Speaker 3: There's there's a thing about who gets to speak last
- 9:06Speaker 3: and trials, right, and in this case, it was the DA.
- 9:09Speaker 3: So the DA technically had the last word. And yes,
- 9:12Speaker 3: you want to see who's speaking more andmpathfully. But also
- 9:15Speaker 3: sometimes because of like a recency bias, people may just
- 9:18Speaker 3: go by with the last thing they heard and the
- 9:20Speaker 3: last thing.
- 9:21Speaker 2: That they heard from the DA was good people do
- 9:23Speaker 2: bad things too.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Granted it wasn't now in hindsight I'm thinking about it
- 9:26Speaker 3: wasn't as strong an argument as Matts. I think when
- 9:29Speaker 3: I'm really thinking about it, because Matt you know why,
- 9:32Speaker 3: you know why he got the edge over the DA
- 9:35Speaker 3: when he was just like, not just regular people, like
- 9:37Speaker 3: they said, why take it didn't just help with people white,
- 9:39Speaker 3: I can.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Help the cops, cops.
- 9:41Speaker 2: And then it paneled the cops and the cop was like, yeah,
- 9:44Speaker 2: he helped us.
- 9:44Speaker 4: Too, you know, because some of them cops are definitely
- 9:49Speaker 4: agreeing with it, because not every cop is corrupt. I mean,
- 9:52Speaker 4: in my opinion, they are sorry you know it cos yeah,
- 9:56Speaker 4: no shots, but you know, it's what it is. But
- 9:59Speaker 4: in this and since some of those cops in the
- 10:01Speaker 4: courtroom were definitely not the punisher down cops like my
- 10:04Speaker 4: man offers a Powell, you know, bitch ass who I mean,
- 10:10Speaker 4: I gotta give it to him. My man is resilient
- 10:12Speaker 4: because I thought he was dead.
- 10:15Speaker 2: I don't think that should not have happened. God fucking alive.
- 10:19Speaker 4: Brow that nigga, that nigga dropped, dropped on his head,
- 10:26Speaker 4: like I swore, I heard the snap of the neck.
- 10:30Speaker 4: My man is in court, not barely bruised up, like
- 10:33Speaker 4: you know, Matt.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Was popping that ship. But my man should have been
- 10:36Speaker 1: a lot more, you know, concussed something.
- 10:39Speaker 3: Matt folded that nigga like a creep. It was no reason.
- 10:43Speaker 3: There's no fucking way, there's no way. That's just another thing.
- 10:47Speaker 3: I was like improbable. I was like, are you still walking?
- 10:50Speaker 1: In four seasons of Daredevil?
- 10:52Speaker 4: That is easily Matt's easiest fight, Like Matt struggles against everyone,
- 10:58Speaker 4: and he folded both of those cops with no problem,
- 11:01Speaker 4: to the point where he study energy to scream afterwards.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Ah, oh my god.
- 11:10Speaker 4: I don't know how they's still alive. I don't know
- 11:12Speaker 4: how they hear to testify. But you know, my man
- 11:15Speaker 4: Powell is a tough little bastard. I'll give him that.
- 11:17Speaker 4: Like he's an asshole cop, he's a bastard, but he's tough.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:21Speaker 3: And then and then you mentioned testifying, like the way
- 11:24Speaker 3: that start with this just fucking.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Nikki Torres like and that's real life too.
- 11:32Speaker 3: It's just like they was hyping him up for like
- 11:35Speaker 3: a week, like hey, you could do it, yeah, And
- 11:37Speaker 3: I'm like, ain't no way.
- 11:38Speaker 2: You had.
- 11:38Speaker 3: He had to run, he was about to get killed,
- 11:40Speaker 3: he had to run out the fire escape, and you
- 11:43Speaker 3: he's you're hyping him up, hiding him in the fucking
- 11:45Speaker 3: dry cleaning only for him to get on on fucking
- 11:48Speaker 3: stand and embarrass all ass.
- 11:51Speaker 1: But you're a badass. I don't. I don't get it, man, Like,
- 11:58Speaker 1: what are you going to do after that?
- 12:00Speaker 4: You already went on the stand all these times on
- 12:03Speaker 4: your face, half of them already your face and wanted
- 12:05Speaker 4: to murder you anyway.
- 12:07Speaker 2: You can't be an informant no more. And that's another thing.
- 12:09Speaker 2: You're not gonna be a comfidentional informant no more.
- 12:12Speaker 4: He did either way, you are still a loose in this.
- 12:15Speaker 4: Don't have to get wrapped up, fam.
- 12:16Speaker 1: I don't you know. I don't know how that was
- 12:18Speaker 1: a smart movie.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Well, the fact that he didn't testify was enough.
- 12:21Speaker 3: The fact that he it actually is still smart him
- 12:23Speaker 3: because remember remember the guy whispered nik Nikki Almos said,
- 12:26Speaker 3: Nicky Barnes, Nikki Torres can't testify, and he didn't, right,
- 12:30Speaker 3: and saw them constant in that.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Say something, My damn you say something.
- 12:39Speaker 1: I still don't know. I mean, I guess you know what.
- 12:41Speaker 1: He didn't.
- 12:42Speaker 2: He didn't, he didn't implicate anybody.
- 12:43Speaker 3: And he even fact he said, oh I wasn't there
- 12:46Speaker 3: and he fucking dipped and everything Matt yelled out after
- 12:49Speaker 3: the fact is not permissible in court anyway. So objection, Yeah,
- 12:55Speaker 3: on some face, Phoenix attorney ship objection.
- 12:58Speaker 4: In the side story, I guess to this episode, how
- 13:01Speaker 4: are you feeling about.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Miss's attorney after the backwards? But yeah, y'all know what
- 13:05Speaker 3: I meant about.
- 13:06Speaker 4: Mister Wilson fist and Vanessa and that relationship.
- 13:11Speaker 3: Listen, it is so is giving. It's giving Bravo Housewives drama.
- 13:16Speaker 3: And I'm fucking here for every goddamn and I'm gonna
- 13:19Speaker 3: be here for their drama because the way that they
- 13:22Speaker 3: even argue that's not an argument. And Vanessa's so fucking smart,
- 13:27Speaker 3: that's the thing. Like, yes, Wilson a smart, but Vanessa
- 13:29Speaker 3: is particularly smart and the way that she knows how
- 13:33Speaker 3: to deal and handle Wilson, and the way she communicates
- 13:37Speaker 3: with him proverbally and nonverbally, and the way that she
- 13:42Speaker 3: has control over him to a degree, right like, and
- 13:45Speaker 3: the way he's just a sip at the end of
- 13:47Speaker 3: the day, Wilson physical is a sip for some damn Vanessa.
- 13:50Speaker 3: So anything, right, Yes, he he's this and that, and
- 13:53Speaker 3: he's big and bad and he's done all this stuff whatever.
- 13:56Speaker 3: At the end of the day, that nigga is Scott
- 13:58Speaker 3: Summons when it comes to Vanessa. Okay, that is his woman,
- 14:02Speaker 3: and he will do anything for her and she can
- 14:04Speaker 3: get away with literal murder if she needed to.
- 14:08Speaker 4: Yeah, their relationship is so interesting because I think it
- 14:13Speaker 4: was said best in the first episode. It's like Vincent
- 14:17Speaker 4: has this no heclim Vincent Wilson has this view of
- 14:22Speaker 4: Vanessa that you know she was she was you know,
- 14:26Speaker 4: he put that pian a pedestal. And then when the
- 14:29Speaker 4: you know, when the p woke up, you know, and
- 14:31Speaker 4: there's a whole woman you gotta deal with. Yeah, he's like, oh,
- 14:34Speaker 4: this ain't exactly what I imagine, you know, like, this
- 14:37Speaker 4: ain't the Fendes thing.
- 14:38Speaker 3: Remember you think he didn't know who Vanessa was when
- 14:41Speaker 3: he like really established that deep seated love for her.
- 14:46Speaker 3: I think he knew very well who she was, which
- 14:48Speaker 3: is why they even though it's toxic as fuck, why
- 14:51Speaker 3: they could work so well together, why they are complimentary
- 14:54Speaker 3: to each other at the same time as being so toxic.
- 14:57Speaker 2: He knew what it was when he signed up.
- 14:59Speaker 4: He knew what it was, but for years he didn't
- 15:01Speaker 4: have to deal with it as a person. He had
- 15:03Speaker 4: to deal with the ideal, you know, and that's all
- 15:06Speaker 4: he had to deal with. He didn't have to deal
- 15:07Speaker 4: with the reality of a talking, breathing person who might
- 15:11Speaker 4: disagree with him, and now he does.
- 15:15Speaker 3: And I'm trying to remember in the previous series, did
- 15:18Speaker 3: we see a lot of Vanessa at all?
- 15:19Speaker 4: No, Remember Vanessa was in a coma for a lot
- 15:21Speaker 4: of it, that's right, Yeah, and then Vanessa recovers, but
- 15:25Speaker 4: you know, that's towards.
- 15:26Speaker 1: The end of it.
- 15:26Speaker 3: So to your point, that's making a lot more sense
- 15:28Speaker 3: because now because she was incapacitated for.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Incapacitated for something.
- 15:35Speaker 3: But also disappeared, not just inscapacitated, disappeared.
- 15:38Speaker 4: Disappeared and left her to run everything, which was like
- 15:43Speaker 4: that's a series or spin off. I would have loved
- 15:46Speaker 4: to see, you know, even an episode like even one off. Yeah,
- 15:51Speaker 4: Vanessa running the city while King Pen wasn't there. That
- 15:54Speaker 4: would have been I guess, you know, yeah, And I
- 15:58Speaker 4: guess we don't need to see too much of it
- 15:59Speaker 4: because you know, it's like Vanessa.
- 16:01Speaker 1: You know what it was.
- 16:02Speaker 3: She was a fucking g there's a fucking g. She
- 16:04Speaker 3: kept the niggas in line and everything was running smooth.
- 16:07Speaker 3: And now she's made me your bitch ass. You have
- 16:10Speaker 3: to be you want to play Mayor Wilson Fisk, and
- 16:14Speaker 3: now I gotta be first Lady Fisk.
- 16:16Speaker 2: And I don't want none of this ship.
- 16:18Speaker 3: She don't want that, and that she makes that you
- 16:20Speaker 3: could tell, even if she don't verbally say it, she.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Makes it clear she don't. She tasted the King Finn life,
- 16:25Speaker 2: she tasted.
- 16:26Speaker 1: The most yant.
- 16:28Speaker 3: She don't want that fucking five percent juice, five percent
- 16:32Speaker 3: ALC juice.
- 16:33Speaker 2: She don't want that ship. You don't want to want
- 16:35Speaker 2: cool it no more.
- 16:36Speaker 4: This is straight up ghosts and Tasha shout out to
- 16:38Speaker 4: my power lovers out there, because and it was always
- 16:41Speaker 4: straight one of the most hilarious things to me about
- 16:44Speaker 4: Ghosts and Tasha when Tasha once told Ghosts, I didn't
- 16:49Speaker 4: marry a club owner.
- 16:50Speaker 1: I married the biggest drug dealer in New York.
- 16:53Speaker 4: That's I want, you know, I'm not I'm not here
- 16:58Speaker 4: for that reform shit, Nigga, I'm here for that deally
- 17:01Speaker 4: dope shit.
- 17:02Speaker 2: And that's honest, because.
- 17:03Speaker 4: That's what Vanessa seems to be. Vanessa's like, I'm not
- 17:06Speaker 4: here for that mayorship. I'm here for that running the block.
- 17:09Speaker 3: You know, she was she And I don't even want
- 17:12Speaker 3: to say what I was about to say because I
- 17:13Speaker 3: don't want to get ahead of myself. But like she
- 17:15Speaker 3: she clearly and that's her mind, that is at the
- 17:17Speaker 3: forefront of her mind, you could tell.
- 17:19Speaker 2: And everything she'd do is she's saying, like.
- 17:23Speaker 3: So what if I just you know, set up this situation,
- 17:25Speaker 3: you know, if I can launder this and do this
- 17:27Speaker 3: and do that, Like you could tell, that's all she's
- 17:29Speaker 3: fucking thinking about, right, She's thinking about business. And also
- 17:32Speaker 3: I also wonder, because of the type of.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Time she on, is she just bored. She's that's the
- 17:37Speaker 2: other part.
- 17:38Speaker 3: She's bored and idle hand is devil's work, right, That's
- 17:42Speaker 3: what they say, Like like you said, like that's the
- 17:45Speaker 3: whole problem. Also partedly of why they're going to therapy,
- 17:50Speaker 3: it's because she don't even want to be in that life,
- 17:53Speaker 3: Like she don't want to go to the gallas with him.
- 17:55Speaker 3: She don't want to show up on the podium with
- 17:57Speaker 3: him and play wifey, that shit, mad boring. She want
- 18:01Speaker 3: to do what she want to do, and she want
- 18:02Speaker 3: to do what she knows she could do well and.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Achieve higher height. She's she's a king pin, a queen pin,
- 18:09Speaker 2: if you will.
- 18:11Speaker 1: How do you feel about Matt's therapist girl? Also, somehow, I.
- 18:17Speaker 3: Still think this is Buck's fault. I still think Buck
- 18:20Speaker 3: did this shit on purpose. I could I've been giving
- 18:22Speaker 3: him I couldn't. Maybe giving him way too much credit,
- 18:24Speaker 3: you know, buck uh right handling. Yeah, what I'm saying
- 18:28Speaker 3: about he knows since he knows who Matt Murdock is,
- 18:30Speaker 3: maybe he knew the connection between Matt and the therapists,
- 18:34Speaker 3: and maybe he did that shit on purpose. Because at
- 18:36Speaker 3: the end of the day, this lady is not the
- 18:37Speaker 3: only therapist in the city. So I'm just like why,
- 18:42Speaker 3: And I understand she's like a famous therapist and she
- 18:45Speaker 3: has a book, and maybe she's one of the best
- 18:47Speaker 3: of the best, but she's not the only best of
- 18:48Speaker 3: the best. This is New York City, so I don't
- 18:52Speaker 3: know how that came about. Like Tim, I'm saying, it's
- 18:54Speaker 3: like the stars just a line. No, Buck did that
- 18:57Speaker 3: shit on purpose. I could be wrong, but I'm just thinking, Yeah.
- 19:01Speaker 4: I'm holding out hope that you're right about that, because,
- 19:04Speaker 4: like I said before, Buck could be their version of
- 19:07Speaker 4: a character, the arranger or the Rose, not the Rose.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Doing some arranger ass ship the character, but just his moves.
- 19:18Speaker 3: His moves is giving. I'm arranging and connecting the dots.
- 19:20Speaker 3: I'm a dock connector.
- 19:22Speaker 4: There's also another one. I forgot about the foreigner. But
- 19:25Speaker 4: the foreigner was always like he was like the adversary
- 19:29Speaker 4: to Kingpin.
- 19:29Speaker 1: More so, but he more looks like Buck. You know.
- 19:33Speaker 4: The foreigner was like smooth, you know, suits all the time,
- 19:37Speaker 4: always fly, but he was straight up a Kingpin adversary.
- 19:41Speaker 4: And then he disappeared without anyone. I've been learning his
- 19:45Speaker 4: name as far as I know. The Rose and the
- 19:48Speaker 4: Ranger definitely worked for Kingpin.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Buckets snooty, Bucker snooty, and that's.
- 19:52Speaker 4: Why he gets off Rose. That's why he gets off rods. Like,
- 19:56Speaker 4: I really hope by the end of it he just pulls.
- 19:58Speaker 1: On the mask.
- 20:00Speaker 4: That would be ill, but I'm not sure if that's
- 20:02Speaker 4: the direction they're going. The roses, like he has this
- 20:05Speaker 4: ill purple mask and then he always is, you know,
- 20:08Speaker 4: cutting up roses and.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Stuff, cutting up roses.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, he you know, he's like cultivating roses.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Got got gotch That's cool. I like it.
- 20:18Speaker 1: It's either that or your ranger Buck is one of
- 20:20Speaker 1: those two.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Yeah, And that was one of the first things you
- 20:25Speaker 3: said when we started the review, just about how yo,
- 20:28Speaker 3: you know, Hector Ayala got got free kind.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Of just to get the hot pocket put in.
- 20:35Speaker 1: But see, I didn't want to, like with Foggy, I
- 20:37Speaker 1: can call it the hot pocket.
- 20:39Speaker 2: You know. It's it's tough, it's to respectful.
- 20:44Speaker 3: What's going it's who did it?
- 20:48Speaker 2: Right? We know what fucking was It wasn't it, Frank.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Castle, It can't be.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Can't be.
- 20:55Speaker 1: I don't believe it because there's too many.
- 20:58Speaker 3: There's too many wanna bees, as you saw by the
- 21:01Speaker 3: cops having the tattoos and all that stuff, and literally
- 21:04Speaker 3: like and first of all, one thing that's kind of funny,
- 21:06Speaker 3: Matt told Joe ass you cannot go out there in
- 21:09Speaker 3: that suit ever fucking again. And the next night my
- 21:12Speaker 3: nan hector and I understand, he said, and you know,
- 21:15Speaker 3: I get the philosophy, he said, this is who I am. Yeah,
- 21:17Speaker 3: you can't take this away from me. This is my
- 21:19Speaker 3: you know, this is my being as a person.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Duels chose me, nigga, I didn't choose the jewels.
- 21:24Speaker 3: However, Karma, you just got off of a cock killing,
- 21:30Speaker 3: you know, like.
- 21:31Speaker 2: First degree, second degree man, So you.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Just got off of all that shit and the next
- 21:35Speaker 3: day or assumingly the next day, you go out.
- 21:38Speaker 2: You don't think you want to lay low for a
- 21:40Speaker 2: little bit.
- 21:40Speaker 3: So that's why I was just like, damn, Like, you're right,
- 21:45Speaker 3: the streets, don't stop, the violence, don't stop, the crime,
- 21:47Speaker 3: don't stop. And I understand you're gonna do what he
- 21:49Speaker 3: said on stand the right thing, but you couldn't like
- 21:52Speaker 3: give it forty eight hours two days later. So that
- 21:57Speaker 3: again not a big not a like a fault of his.
- 22:00Speaker 3: I just was just like, damn, could you have waited
- 22:02Speaker 3: and then like again for that person who shot him
- 22:05Speaker 3: to then like walk away and have the punishes on
- 22:07Speaker 3: There's again, there's too many fucking cosplayers out there.
- 22:10Speaker 2: I don't I don't think that's right.
- 22:13Speaker 3: What would Frank have with shooting him?
- 22:17Speaker 4: I mean, all right, my first thought was maybe it
- 22:21Speaker 4: is because Frank is, you know, a psychopath, and that's
- 22:24Speaker 4: something that this show has shown.
- 22:26Speaker 1: You know, that Frank is touched like and the Punisher
- 22:29Speaker 1: show showed as well. But like you said, they did
- 22:35Speaker 1: have you know, evidence already that a lot of these
- 22:37Speaker 1: cops are emulating the Punisher wants to be like this
- 22:40Speaker 1: man all that type of good stuff.
- 22:44Speaker 2: I realized too obvious? Did that?
- 22:48Speaker 4: Like?
- 22:48Speaker 1: Yeah, and why would he do that?
- 22:52Speaker 4: Like you said, because even though as much of a
- 22:53Speaker 4: psychopaths as he is, I can't see him running up
- 22:56Speaker 4: and shooting Daredel in the head like that. And that's
- 22:59Speaker 4: pretty much the same thing.
- 23:01Speaker 2: But where is Frank? What happened?
- 23:04Speaker 3: Like I don't recall, like I needed to go watch
- 23:06Speaker 3: the end of the other series. Where did he end
- 23:09Speaker 3: up at the.
- 23:09Speaker 1: End of all that?
- 23:10Speaker 4: I can't even lie, y'all. I did not finish the
- 23:13Speaker 4: Punish the series. I guess I didn't finish it, so
- 23:15Speaker 4: I have no idea where to.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Carecter, like, is he still even active right now?
- 23:19Speaker 1: Well?
- 23:20Speaker 4: I think Defenders took place after that. I'm not sure,
- 23:23Speaker 4: And I mean, I don't even know if they want
- 23:25Speaker 4: to consider that cannon anymore.
- 23:26Speaker 1: That shit got weird. No, seriously, the show was weird,
- 23:29Speaker 1: Like I think I didn't watch it.
- 23:31Speaker 4: It was weird. But Punishment was in that. So he's
- 23:36Speaker 4: somewhere in New York City as far as I know,
- 23:38Speaker 4: I don't, you know, I'm not sure you know where
- 23:41Speaker 4: whereabouts are? I know he's going to be in Born Again.
- 23:44Speaker 4: You know, we already know that the John is in
- 23:47Speaker 4: this series. In fact, some news came out during the
- 23:51Speaker 4: like I think last week that John and writer of
- 23:57Speaker 4: I want to say the name of the shows we
- 23:59Speaker 4: own this City or we run this City. It was
- 24:01Speaker 4: an HBO Max series about police. I'm not sure what
- 24:05Speaker 4: city it took place in. It was very dark. I
- 24:08Speaker 4: watched the first episode and I was like, I'm good,
- 24:10Speaker 4: I can't watch more than this. But the writer of
- 24:13Speaker 4: that and John are writing a Punisher one shot episode.
- 24:17Speaker 4: There's gonna be like kind of like the Guardians of
- 24:20Speaker 4: the Galaxy holiday special or the wherewof by Night joint.
- 24:25Speaker 4: So they're writing that and they're shooting that soon.
- 24:27Speaker 1: So I'm not.
- 24:28Speaker 4: Sure exactly what that'll deal with, but I think it'll.
- 24:32Speaker 4: They said it played off of some of the stuff
- 24:34Speaker 4: that we've seen and there were Born Again, and the
- 24:36Speaker 4: ideas came to them while they were doing Derener were
- 24:39Speaker 4: Born Again. So okay, if this whole police and Punisher
- 24:44Speaker 4: thing isn't dealt with by the end of this first season,
- 24:48Speaker 4: I think that'll be something they'll definitely tackle.
- 24:50Speaker 1: And I'm really happy to see that because that's happened
- 24:53Speaker 1: in real life.
- 24:53Speaker 4: As you know, it's happened in real life, and Marvel,
- 24:56Speaker 4: as a com UPLEK company, has been trying to figure
- 24:58Speaker 4: out what to do with the Punisher for years because
- 25:01Speaker 4: of this. I've talked about this on previous episodes. They've
- 25:04Speaker 4: made him a ninja, they made him Frankistan, they've made
- 25:07Speaker 4: him an angel, they've done everything. They killed Frank Castle
- 25:11Speaker 4: recently as far as I know, and there's a new Punisher.
- 25:14Speaker 4: They've done everything to distance themselves from the idea of
- 25:19Speaker 4: just the Punisher who's out shooting criminals, because that's what
- 25:23Speaker 4: cops do. You know criminals and you know civilians more
- 25:27Speaker 4: than most games. I think, more like I can't remember
- 25:30Speaker 4: what the numbers are, but cops shoot way too many people.
- 25:32Speaker 1: It's ridiculous.
- 25:33Speaker 3: Do you think this is gonna give Matt a bad reputation?
- 25:36Speaker 3: Like he'll come and defend you, but your ass might
- 25:40Speaker 3: be killed.
- 25:41Speaker 1: No, I don't know. Nobody's making that connect. Well, I
- 25:45Speaker 1: mean no, they did reveal it.
- 25:46Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't think most of MAT's cases are like this,
- 25:51Speaker 4: So I don't think this.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Was like an exception.
- 25:54Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, Matt deals with high end shit, you know,
- 25:56Speaker 4: you know his shit is a little more because.
- 25:58Speaker 3: He did take this like pro boneus. He was just
- 26:00Speaker 3: like he just saw a guy in need, and it's like, oh,
- 26:02Speaker 3: I'm gonna jump in there.
- 26:03Speaker 2: True.
- 26:04Speaker 4: Remember his old law firm, rest in peace, foggy, you
- 26:06Speaker 4: know that's what they were. They were broke, you know
- 26:08Speaker 4: this new law firm. No, not so much, Shorty, ain't
- 26:12Speaker 4: rolling like that.
- 26:14Speaker 3: I am interested to see how Matt like continues to
- 26:19Speaker 3: play this game that like he doesn't want to go
- 26:22Speaker 3: and beat everybody's ass every night.
- 26:24Speaker 2: It's clear it's like.
- 26:27Speaker 3: When he saw, like when he was in the bathroom,
- 26:31Speaker 3: like going through it mentally and.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Officer Powell walked in.
- 26:36Speaker 3: Off right, when that nigga walked in and you taw
- 26:40Speaker 3: and like, you know, he walked up and he stepped
- 26:41Speaker 3: to him.
- 26:42Speaker 2: I said, slap him.
- 26:44Speaker 3: I was like, slap this ship out of him, like
- 26:46Speaker 3: bang his head into the fucking sink.
- 26:49Speaker 2: And yes, that's violent, but I'm like that's clearly what
- 26:51Speaker 2: he wants.
- 26:51Speaker 3: And I know he's holding back so much, and it's
- 26:54Speaker 3: just like, at what point is that shit gonna ball
- 26:56Speaker 3: boil over?
- 26:58Speaker 4: Like now, we saw Powell this episode, but we did
- 27:00Speaker 4: not see his man's right, No, we didn't see his
- 27:03Speaker 4: mans and that I.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Was like, damn, did his man's die?
- 27:05Speaker 4: No, his man didn't die, but his man, you know,
- 27:08Speaker 4: having a hard time recovery.
- 27:10Speaker 3: Because power wouldn't have been that lenient or he would
- 27:14Speaker 3: have tried to kill Matt right away.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely right, So.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Both of them survived. They got so bad.
- 27:22Speaker 4: Look, you know, tough old Irish cops man, you know
- 27:25Speaker 4: how it is like the basses you know, probably was
- 27:27Speaker 4: drunk at the moment, you know, popped up on PCP.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Who knows what else anything else?
- 27:32Speaker 2: What else is that?
- 27:33Speaker 1: Oh?
- 27:33Speaker 3: I like how they did that shell game with the
- 27:35Speaker 3: with the witness niky tourists, where like Cherry they had
- 27:38Speaker 3: when they took him and cherry like drove him away.
- 27:41Speaker 2: I was, all right, that was smart. That was very
- 27:43Speaker 2: smart move.
- 27:44Speaker 1: You know, they're very smooth.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Thought that was that?
- 27:47Speaker 4: Is that the No, that's not the same. After I'm
- 27:49Speaker 4: trying to remember where I know the Asian actor.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Who is is he the lawyer? I'm not sure what
- 27:57Speaker 1: he is?
- 27:58Speaker 3: Well, the one that we saw and then so the
- 28:00Speaker 3: one that was that that took Nick through the cop
- 28:04Speaker 3: I thought he was a lawyer.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Yeah, he's a lawyer. He's part of the firm.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, I thought he was one of the lawyers.
- 28:10Speaker 4: I was trying to remember where I know that after
- 28:12Speaker 4: from If anybody in the comments out there does no,
- 28:15Speaker 4: let me know the comments are anything else from this episode.
- 28:20Speaker 3: No, I mean just from a real life perspective again,
- 28:23Speaker 3: you know, rest in peace to Camar Della's face.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, you did a he did a phenomenal
- 28:27Speaker 2: that you mentioned.
- 28:28Speaker 3: He did a phenomenal job and a very heartfelt job
- 28:31Speaker 3: with a character I've personally never seen, never heard of before,
- 28:34Speaker 3: and for me to connect with him very quickly and
- 28:37Speaker 3: realize like he is like deeply one of the good
- 28:40Speaker 3: ones at least that you know that character he stands
- 28:43Speaker 3: for something and that's hard to come by in the
- 28:47Speaker 3: University MCU as it is, so you know, rest em
- 28:50Speaker 3: power to him and he did a beautiful job.
- 28:53Speaker 4: Yeah, and rest in power to the White Tiger as well,
- 28:55Speaker 4: to have Ayala the character, because that's up. Like for me,
- 28:59Speaker 4: I was a big fan. I was very happ to
- 29:01Speaker 4: see him in this series, like, oh, yeah, finally we
- 29:04Speaker 4: get the White Tiger in MCU. I mean not finally,
- 29:06Speaker 4: that's one of the characters I just didn't ever see
- 29:08Speaker 4: an MCU. Honestly, it's well, I see at this point,
- 29:11Speaker 4: I can't say that I spend to see every character
- 29:14Speaker 4: MCU because they're just trying to make this money and
- 29:16Speaker 4: they're gonna milk it forever and get every character they can.
- 29:20Speaker 4: So I was happy to see him in MCU and
- 29:22Speaker 4: then he gives murk. But the silver lining of that
- 29:25Speaker 4: is that there's a precedence for this is that hepter
- 29:31Speaker 4: is not always the White Tiger. Eventually, in the comics
- 29:34Speaker 4: and an animation in the other forms, his niece Ava
- 29:39Speaker 4: takes over, and you know, she's already been there, so
- 29:43Speaker 4: hopefully we will see that in the futures, you know,
- 29:47Speaker 4: Young Avengers, Young Defenders. I don't know however they want
- 29:50Speaker 4: to do it, but that'd be nice to see because
- 29:52Speaker 4: I want to see the White Tiger continue on and
- 29:54Speaker 4: I really like the character and what they represent, so
- 29:58Speaker 4: hopefully more White Tiger in the future.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Thefth done anything else before we get out of here,
- 30:04Speaker 1: nah man.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Just fantastic TV.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Great TV.
- 30:08Speaker 2: We fucking told.
- 30:09Speaker 3: Y'all the streets is that they are doing the damn
- 30:14Speaker 3: thing when it comes to Daredevil Born Again.
- 30:16Speaker 2: I know y'all would it.
- 30:18Speaker 3: It's I'm just so happy. I'm just so happy. I'm
- 30:20Speaker 3: just I'm just pleased and happy right now.
- 30:23Speaker 4: Word, I want to give a bit shout out to
- 30:25Speaker 4: Pedro Gomez Milean, the cinematographer of Daredevil Born Again, and
- 30:31Speaker 4: they're doing a fantastic job. Even before I knew their name,
- 30:34Speaker 4: I was this episode, especially like I said, that courtroom
- 30:37Speaker 4: shit had me on the edge of my seat. I
- 30:39Speaker 4: was sitting there and it was a lot had to
- 30:41Speaker 4: do with the acting everything, but also just the cinematography
- 30:44Speaker 4: and the shot selection. The handheld camera. They were like
- 30:49Speaker 4: moving in close on after faces. You know a lot
- 30:51Speaker 4: of shaky cam, but I mean not overt shaky cam,
- 30:54Speaker 4: just where it's like that you know a little bit
- 30:56Speaker 4: where you just feel the tension through the camera shots
- 30:59Speaker 4: and everything. So great work there, Pedro. We might have
- 31:03Speaker 4: them on the show, hopefully very soon, so look out
- 31:07Speaker 4: for that also, you know, bit shout out to the
- 31:10Speaker 4: whole Patrearon fam fam out there. Everybody has seen your
- 31:15Speaker 4: names shining at the end of every episode. So if
- 31:19Speaker 4: you'd like to join, you know, the few, the proud,
- 31:21Speaker 4: the millions, ten millions, head over to patreon dot com
