- 0:14Speaker 1: Hey, everybody. Welcome to Key. Welcome to Keisha. Welcome to
- 0:18Speaker 1: Pink Shade. Welcome to the Keisha Show.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Welcome to the Keisha Show. Hello.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Hello. In all transparency, if you're watching on video, you
- 0:27Speaker 1: will see Keisha and I are recording from hotel rooms. Now, Keisha,
- 0:32Speaker 1: I got to say, when you record at home, your
- 0:35Speaker 1: couch is blue and you're at a blue couch.
- 0:38Speaker 2: I know. I told them, I said, I need something
- 0:40Speaker 2: to match my aesthetic at home. So they gave me this. No,
- 0:44Speaker 2: I'm just totally kidding. They didn't know what the fuck
- 0:46Speaker 2: we were walking into. I mean, the place is a shoe.
- 0:48Speaker 2: It's a shoe box. It's not even a boot box.
- 0:51Speaker 2: That's how small it is. I know. It's tiny.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Look how big my room is. I've got like a whole.
- 0:55Speaker 1: I'm jealous. Look, I've got a couch over here you
- 0:58Speaker 1: can't even see.
- 0:59Speaker 2: No.
- 0:59Speaker 1: A whole couch, a window, and then way over there
- 1:02Speaker 1: is my closet and my bathroom.
- 1:05Speaker 2: No, we've got a window that the bed is damn
- 1:07Speaker 2: near touching. We got a TV wall that the bed
- 1:10Speaker 2: is damn near touching. Yeah. And then there's one little
- 1:13Speaker 2: small gap and there's the bathroom. So how we have
- 1:16Speaker 2: managed to do it, I don't know. We just haven't
- 1:18Speaker 2: really been in here a lot. Thank God. Yeah. But yeah,
- 1:21Speaker 2: it's really a struggle bus. You'd die if you saw
- 1:23Speaker 2: how small the bathroom is.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Oh, my bathroom is spacious.
- 1:28Speaker 2: No. Yeah.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Hyatt Regency Times Square for the win, and I hate
- 1:32Speaker 1: Times Square, but this is a great room.
- 1:35Speaker 2: So the hotel here is really cool. I love the vibe,
- 1:39Speaker 2: but the room is very small, and it wasn't cheap. Yeah. Oh, no.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Nothing is cheap this weekend. It's Comic-Con weekend.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Comic-Con. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:48Speaker 1: I haven't seen anybody walking around in a weird outfit.
- 1:51Speaker 1: I was hoping I would.
- 1:52Speaker 2: It'll probably happen today.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Yes, because we're recording on Friday.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:59Speaker 1: It'll happen today, for sure. So we should tell everybody
- 2:03Speaker 1: that yesterday we went to the Drew Barrymore show.
- 2:08Speaker 2: We did.
- 2:09Speaker 1: I've interviewed Ross Matthews a couple of times. He got
- 2:10Speaker 1: us tickets. So we were sitting right there on the
- 2:13Speaker 1: second row in swivel leather chairs. So nice.
- 2:17Speaker 2: I've been more comfortable. Yes. Everyone else was in almost
- 2:21Speaker 2: like stadium style.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Yeah, they looked nice. We were all so uncomfortable. but
- 2:26Speaker 1: I would have been like, my back would have been,
- 2:28Speaker 1: my back would have been killing me. Um, they lock
- 2:31Speaker 1: your phone right when you walk in the building. So
- 2:32Speaker 1: it's not even like they, they, you could take, or
- 2:35Speaker 1: you could text or anything like up until you walk
- 2:37Speaker 1: into the studio.
- 2:38Speaker 2: It's nothing.
- 2:39Speaker 1: So we were really having bonding time because we would
- 2:42Speaker 1: say things like, Oh, let me show you a picture
- 2:43Speaker 1: of nevermind. We don't have our phone. Um, but we
- 2:48Speaker 1: had a really good time. We had, I was telling, um, Kimberly,
- 2:53Speaker 1: I saw Kimberly last night and I was telling her
- 2:55Speaker 1: about it. I was like, we saw, I think, four
- 2:57Speaker 1: segments and then three interviews. And the interviews were James McAvoy,
- 3:06Speaker 1: Sean Lacey, the singer, and Charlie.
- 3:11Speaker 2: I remember her character's name. So it was good. It
- 3:15Speaker 2: was great. And we were there for a long time
- 3:18Speaker 2: and it went really fast. Yes.
- 3:20Speaker 1: And They did like an antiques thing, like how to
- 3:23Speaker 1: spot a good deal. I loved that too. And they
- 3:27Speaker 1: did a Drew's News where they just talked about news
- 3:31Speaker 1: stories and the three interviews. And then for me, the
- 3:34Speaker 1: most exciting was when they come to tell you when
- 3:37Speaker 1: you're waiting to go into the audience, they say, here's
- 3:39Speaker 1: who's on and here's when the show's going to air.
- 3:41Speaker 1: And y'all are going to have a chance to win
- 3:43Speaker 1: these prizes today.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Woo.
- 3:45Speaker 1: And here's how you clap. And they give you all
- 3:47Speaker 1: the instructions. And they said, here's who the guests are.
- 3:49Speaker 1: And they said, actress and chef Maggie Baird, da, da, da.
- 3:53Speaker 1: And I remember thinking, the only Maggie Baird I know
- 3:58Speaker 1: is Billie Eilish's mother. So, hmm, interesting. And then as
- 4:02Speaker 1: we were in line to go into the studio, I
- 4:04Speaker 1: saw her on the elevator. I looked at Keisha. I said,
- 4:06Speaker 1: that was Maggie Baird. That's Billie Eilish's mother. Keisha's like,
- 4:09Speaker 1: you're incredibly calm.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Yeah, she, I had to ask her, I said, are
- 4:15Speaker 2: you okay? Because I've seen you whoop it up. For
- 4:18Speaker 2: way lesser things, I said, she's freaking the fuck out
- 4:21Speaker 2: on the inside. That is how calm you were.
- 4:24Speaker 1: I couldn't believe it.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Because I'm like, there's no way she's just this calm
- 4:27Speaker 2: and cool. I know on the inside, she's like, oh
- 4:28Speaker 2: my God, oh my God, oh my God.
- 4:30Speaker 1: I couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe it. And then
- 4:33Speaker 1: when she came out and she was like prepping the
- 4:35Speaker 1: stuff for the segment, and then when she came out
- 4:37Speaker 1: and did the segment, the way it was set, we
- 4:40Speaker 1: were kind of behind some cameras, so we couldn't see
- 4:42Speaker 1: so well. But I, you guys... I'm now I'm Billie
- 4:46Speaker 1: Eilish adjacent. I'm one step away from meeting her because
- 4:50Speaker 1: Maggie Baird knows Ross and I know Ross. And so
- 4:54Speaker 1: it's going to happen one day, one day.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Okay. So you sound like me yesterday. I posted a
- 4:59Speaker 2: video and I was like, thank you, Mary pay for
- 5:02Speaker 2: introducing me to Ross. I touched Ross's hand.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:06Speaker 2: That hand has touched RuPaul.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Therefore I have.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Touched RuPaul's hand in some way. I'm like, it's going
- 5:12Speaker 2: to happen. I'm one step closer to RuPaul.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Did you tag Ross in that post?
- 5:17Speaker 2: Yes. And he messaged me. And then he posted my story.
- 5:23Speaker 1: He's so good. I was about to say, he's so
- 5:25Speaker 1: good about that. I bet he reposted it.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Yeah. He did. And I went, oh, my God.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Oh, my God. He's truly a very kind and generous person.
- 5:36Speaker 1: And is exactly how he seems. And is not just...
- 5:40Speaker 1: He looks great. He looks great. He's not any bullshit.
- 5:43Speaker 1: He says... we're friends and you can DM me anytime.
- 5:46Speaker 1: He really means it. And he answers all his DMS.
- 5:49Speaker 1: And I mean, I read.
- 5:50Speaker 2: To you when he saw you and gave you a hug.
- 5:52Speaker 1: I was like, I know just like, he's really like
- 5:55Speaker 1: a genuinely nice human. And it's, it's great to see that.
- 5:59Speaker 1: And I think Drew Barrymore also is a genuinely nice human.
- 6:04Speaker 1: I do. I think, I think she's a very genuine person. Now, what,
- 6:12Speaker 1: you know what, Keisha, what we'll do is when, We
- 6:15Speaker 1: are done with the weekend. You and Kimberly and I
- 6:17Speaker 1: will sit down and do a prime only $ 10 and
- 6:21Speaker 1: above level recap of the whole. And we'll tell some
- 6:24Speaker 1: other things that we observed at the Drew Barrymore show
- 6:29Speaker 1: that we will tell on the paid feed. How about that?
- 6:32Speaker 2: I think that sounds like a plan and a half.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Because we have opinions. Okay.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Beautiful. That's the experts that we are. Total loss of opinions.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Television, TV, hot.
- 6:45Speaker 2: If you put the two of us together and didn't
- 6:46Speaker 2: add Kimberly, I mean, we could solve world hunger.
- 6:50Speaker 1: She worked for Gary Marshall for 10 years. So she
- 6:53Speaker 1: does know about these things.
- 6:55Speaker 2: See? There you go. Yeah. We got this. We can
- 6:58Speaker 2: take over the fucking world.
- 7:00Speaker 1: That's right. Between the three of us. We got Kimberly
- 7:02Speaker 1: a booster seat, but we'll be good to go. Okay.
- 7:06Speaker 1: God bless Kimberly. You guys, Kimberly is so short.
- 7:09Speaker 2: I have not met Kimberly yet as we're recording, but
- 7:15Speaker 2: I will later on tonight. And I'm going to have
- 7:18Speaker 2: on high shoes, like high heels.
- 7:21Speaker 1: What I want to do at LibreFest, and then we'll
- 7:23Speaker 1: get to this recap. What I want to do at
- 7:25Speaker 1: LibreFest is get, and by the time you hear this,
- 7:28Speaker 1: we would have done it. I want to get Kimberly
- 7:30Speaker 1: and Amy back to back to see who's taller.
- 7:33Speaker 2: It sounds like Kimberly's shorter.
- 7:36Speaker 1: I think Amy might be taller.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Yeah. That's what it sounds like.
- 7:41Speaker 1: What did she tell us her feet are size five?
- 7:44Speaker 2: Yeah, they're like children's size. I was like, what the
- 7:46Speaker 2: fuck is that? I was like, what?
- 7:49Speaker 1: Kimberly's so cute. Okay. Okay. So, love after lockup, relationship rehab,
- 7:57Speaker 1: season one, episode two. It's called Trauma Bonds.
- 8:04Speaker 2: This is rough.
- 8:06Speaker 1: This is rough. I'm going to tell you guys once again,
- 8:08Speaker 1: this show is keeping my attention. I like Dr.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Ish.
- 8:12Speaker 1: I like everything going on here. I like the teasers
- 8:15Speaker 1: that they're getting. Whoever is producing this needs to be
- 8:18Speaker 1: producing all the Love After Lockup shows.
- 8:21Speaker 2: It's like someone got a pay raise, and so they said,
- 8:23Speaker 2: I'm going to work a little bit harder this time.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not janky at all.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Nope. Okay.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Thank you, WeTV. So, by the way, next week, I
- 8:34Speaker 1: told you I'm interviewing Dr. Ish and Justine and Michael
- 8:36Speaker 1: all together. Together? All three together. And they gave me
- 8:42Speaker 1: 15 minutes to which I said, I'm going to need
- 8:44Speaker 1: more for three people. So I'm going to be, it's
- 8:48Speaker 1: going to be some, it's going to be some rapid
- 8:50Speaker 1: fire questions coming from me.
- 8:53Speaker 2: That's all.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Yeah, it is. But you know, this is what we
- 8:57Speaker 1: take what we can get. We take what we can get.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Y'all know how you see the social media posts like,
- 9:02Speaker 1: what's in your bag? Where's this girl going? What are
- 9:05Speaker 1: you doing? Well, let me tell you what's in my bag, okay?
- 9:07Speaker 1: It's very exciting. It's breath mints, my reading glasses, my wallet,
- 9:11Speaker 1: my keys, and my Thrive Cosmetics Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara,
- 9:16Speaker 1: my lip stain, and their Focus Eyeshadow Palette has a
- 9:19Speaker 1: mirror so you can check yourself before you wreck yourself. Like,
- 9:22Speaker 1: I can't tell you how many times I used that
- 9:23Speaker 1: mirror while we were in New York. And lately, I'm
- 9:26Speaker 1: just super into Thrive's Lasting Mark Lip Defining Stain. That's
- 9:30Speaker 1: also a great thing to have in your bag because
- 9:32Speaker 1: you can use it all day. I'm like lining my
- 9:34Speaker 1: lips with that stuff as much as Lisa Barlow is, okay?
- 9:37Speaker 1: But sometimes really a lip stain will dry your lips out.
- 9:40Speaker 1: But this one is hydrating and kind of feels like
- 9:42Speaker 1: your bare lips instead of being, ew, like a dry lip.
- 9:45Speaker 1: So for me, I can throw on Thrive's Mascara and
- 9:48Speaker 1: this lip stain and be ready to go out into
- 9:50Speaker 1: the world for the entire day. That's all I need.
- 9:53Speaker 1: And did you know, I'm sure you did, for every
- 9:55Speaker 1: product purchased, Thrive Cosmetics donates products and funds to help communities. thrive.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Over $ 185 million in product and cash donations to over
- 10:06Speaker 1: 700 plus giving partners.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Hello.
- 10:07Speaker 1: They really, really put their money where their mouth is,
- 10:09Speaker 1: you guys, with Thrive. And all of their products are,
- 10:12Speaker 1: of cruelty free and made with clean skin loving ingredients
- 10:17Speaker 1: that work with you and not against you. And that
- 10:20Speaker 1: is what we need as ladies of a certain age.
- 10:23Speaker 1: So get your new everyday favorites and have 20% off
- 10:26Speaker 1: your order. That's 20% off your first order at thrivecosmetics.com
- 10:31Speaker 1: slash pink shade.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Okay.
- 10:32Speaker 1: 20% off your first order at thrivecosmetics.com slash pinkshade. That's
- 10:37Speaker 1: Thrive Cosmetics, C-A-U-S-E-M-E-T-I-C-S dot com slash pinkshade and tell them
- 10:44Speaker 1: we sent you. We start with Dr.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Ish.
- 10:50Speaker 1: They're standing on that line where he's asking basically who
- 10:54Speaker 1: wants to change, who wants to dive in. And Michael's
- 10:57Speaker 1: the only one that doesn't step over the line. But
- 10:59Speaker 1: then he does. That was a good cliffhanger.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Well, he did after just, he's like, okay, look, if
- 11:04Speaker 2: you cross this line, I'll buy you something after we're done.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Get over the fucking line. Like he had to be
- 11:09Speaker 2: coaxed into, he didn't want to cross that line. No.
- 11:13Speaker 1: And I think she's, she's like, do you want a
- 11:15Speaker 1: paycheck or not?
- 11:17Speaker 2: Yeah. We got nine kids at the house. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
- 11:21Speaker 1: So, um, and talking head, he goes, I don't believe
- 11:24Speaker 1: in this type of stuff, but my wife is adamant
- 11:27Speaker 1: on it. And so I should support her. And I
- 11:29Speaker 1: really think this is the dichotomy of Michael because we
- 11:32Speaker 1: see him saying things like this. Like, I want to
- 11:34Speaker 1: support my wife. Like, I need to be a good husband.
- 11:37Speaker 1: She's done so much for me. I want to do
- 11:39Speaker 1: this for her. But then you see him get so
- 11:42Speaker 1: fucking mad and triggered and mean that this niceness in him,
- 11:48Speaker 1: it's not great.
- 11:50Speaker 2: But he's not. We've seen him get angry before, but
- 11:55Speaker 2: not like just consistently mad. at the world. Like he
- 11:59Speaker 2: has been the last two episodes.
- 12:01Speaker 1: And he's, he says when he's, he's the kind of
- 12:03Speaker 1: person that when he's mad, he says mean things that
- 12:06Speaker 1: he knows will hurt you. Like very, and.
- 12:07Speaker 2: You can get, you can be mad without saying mean things.
- 12:11Speaker 2: He doesn't know that.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Just to like insult you.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Right.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Um, so, um, he tells Dr. Ish, um, he says
- 12:24Speaker 1: the kind of guy I am works for Justine and
- 12:27Speaker 1: maybe she won't like me if I'm soft. And she
- 12:30Speaker 1: was like, Oh my God, I would like it if
- 12:32Speaker 1: you softened up like a lot. And she goes, you know,
- 12:36Speaker 1: we could be in bed having an argument and turnover
- 12:39Speaker 1: and I could be crying and he could hear me
- 12:41Speaker 1: crying and he'll be like, turn over. Why the fuck
- 12:43Speaker 1: are you crying? Um, and, and he says, okay, well
- 12:48Speaker 1: maybe I just don't, I don't do well with processing
- 12:50Speaker 1: things right away. I have to take time. And Dr.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Ish says, I think I hear her saying, you don't
- 12:56Speaker 1: have to talk. She just wants you close. And he goes, oh,
- 13:00Speaker 1: we're going to talk. It's going to be till five
- 13:02Speaker 1: in the morning. We're going to talk. And she goes, yeah,
- 13:05Speaker 1: I'm going to talk. Yeah.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 13:07Speaker 1: He's right about that.
- 13:08Speaker 2: You got to meet in the middle. Like at some
- 13:10Speaker 2: point it's like, okay, we're not going to talk about
- 13:11Speaker 2: it tonight. But first thing in the morning. Yes. The
- 13:15Speaker 2: first birth at church means that we have got to
- 13:18Speaker 2: talk about this, you know? And cause like some people
- 13:21Speaker 2: are not like that. They don't want to talk. They,
- 13:25Speaker 2: and he seems like he's got to process it or
- 13:27Speaker 2: it's going to be a fight instead of a talk.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Yeah. I, I, my husband is very much similar in that.
- 13:34Speaker 1: And maybe it's a, an addict thing. Like, I don't know.
- 13:37Speaker 1: I think it is. It's a processing. It's a, It's
- 13:41Speaker 1: not even like an argument, but it's like if I
- 13:43Speaker 1: say like, hey, I'm thinking we're going to do this.
- 13:47Speaker 1: It'll take him a minute and it'll like the next
- 13:49Speaker 1: day he'll want to discuss it. He's like, no, I
- 13:53Speaker 1: think I want to tell you that I don't like
- 13:55Speaker 1: that or I want to, you know, he just takes
- 13:56Speaker 1: some time to process it. I think he wants to
- 13:58Speaker 1: form his words correctly so he doesn't come off as
- 14:01Speaker 1: an asshole.
- 14:02Speaker 2: And that's fine. But there's a flip side. You could
- 14:05Speaker 2: process things like Teresa Giudice does. Oh, gosh.
- 14:08Speaker 1: And just glitch out.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Yeah, totally glitch out. And four days later, she's like, well,
- 14:13Speaker 2: me and.
- 14:13Speaker 1: My you, we don't need you.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Right. Yeah.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Four days later. I think I was upset because you said. Yes.
- 14:21Speaker 1: So Dr. Ish goes, but can he come close and
- 14:26Speaker 1: you not talk like you're saying, like it could be
- 14:28Speaker 1: a compromise? And she goes, yeah, if I drop my clothes.
- 14:33Speaker 1: And he goes, yeah, we fucking talk.
- 14:36Speaker 2: God, that's that almost, that does not sound like a
- 14:41Speaker 2: married couple. That seems like fuck buddies to me. That's
- 14:44Speaker 2: how it came off. Like, I don't want to talk.
- 14:48Speaker 1: I hated that. I hated, I hated the way you said.
- 14:51Speaker 2: That we fell in love with.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Well, again, and then you see him in these talking
- 14:56Speaker 1: heads and he's like, I want to be this person
- 14:58Speaker 1: for her. So Dr. Is says, how does that make
- 15:01Speaker 1: you feel? And she says, empty. And then she says,
- 15:05Speaker 1: but the emptiness doesn't matter. It's actually comforting because I'm
- 15:08Speaker 1: so used to it. And then they're sitting together. They're
- 15:14Speaker 1: in a talking head together. And he goes, I hated that.
- 15:17Speaker 1: You made me sound like a predator. Like, I don't
- 15:19Speaker 1: care about your feelings. Bend over. And it's not like that.
- 15:23Speaker 1: And she says, you pick and choose when to care
- 15:25Speaker 1: about my feelings. And it can't be all in the
- 15:28Speaker 1: same moment. Like all in the same moment, you could
- 15:30Speaker 1: go from caring about my feelings to like bend over.
- 15:34Speaker 1: And he says, maybe sometimes I.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Don't have Phillies to fuck. You're just, it's just.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Your body, you know? That's true. And he goes, maybe
- 15:44Speaker 1: I don't have the mental capacity to always understand what
- 15:46Speaker 1: you're going through.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Right.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Right. So everybody grabs a key for their room and
- 15:53Speaker 1: they act like they're just grabbing, but they're clearly labeled.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Their names are on the doors. Yeah. Yeah.
- 16:00Speaker 1: And so Marcelino and Brittany are like, we're not sharing
- 16:03Speaker 1: a room. And Dr. Ish goes, because they had, you know,
- 16:06Speaker 1: the one key. And Dr. Ish goes, let's talk about it. Now,
- 16:09Speaker 1: I'm sure that they beforehand were like, we got to
- 16:12Speaker 1: get two rooms because, yeah.
- 16:15Speaker 2: I mean, they can't even get along enough to share
- 16:17Speaker 2: a room.
- 16:19Speaker 1: No. Can you imagine? They'd be like fighting over the
- 16:21Speaker 1: covers in the bed. Like, yeah.
- 16:23Speaker 2: That is just how bad it is because I could
- 16:25Speaker 2: share a room with just about anyone. Oh, I can't.
- 16:31Speaker 1: I could.
- 16:32Speaker 2: I think I.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Wait a minute.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Could I share a room with Scholar's biological dad? No.
- 16:41Speaker 1: You could not. Think about that tiny room you're in
- 16:44Speaker 1: right now. How would that go?
- 16:49Speaker 2: Maybe we couldn't.
- 16:50Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Are you alive or are you dead? Smothering the fucking
- 16:54Speaker 2: pillow in your sleep. I hate you.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Allegedly. Allegedly. Okay, so back to, okay, so everybody goes
- 17:01Speaker 1: to their rooms, right? So Julius and Alexis are like,
- 17:04Speaker 1: there's no TV. Like, what are we supposed to do?
- 17:06Speaker 1: Read books? Louis and Melissa are like, they're bugs. Now,
- 17:11Speaker 1: this is more than one time we hear about bugs.
- 17:15Speaker 1: I'm like, mm-mm.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Gotta go. Mm-mm. Nope. And Louis just like slaps it
- 17:22Speaker 2: off with his bare hand.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Yeah. So back to Brittany and Marcelino with Dr.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Ish.
- 17:27Speaker 1: He says, I can't room with somebody who doesn't respect me.
- 17:32Speaker 1: And she says, you can't say I didn't try for years.
- 17:35Speaker 1: I have done everything possible to make it work and
- 17:38Speaker 1: get my respect back for you. She says, I was
- 17:42Speaker 1: a raging alcoholic. I got sober. Now that's interesting because
- 17:46Speaker 1: when she first got out, we thought, gosh, she seems
- 17:49Speaker 1: to be drunk. She's drinking a lot, but we're like,
- 17:52Speaker 1: she's a former meth addict. But it's interesting that she says,
- 17:57Speaker 1: I was an alcoholic and I got sober. So she's
- 17:59Speaker 1: sober from everything now. She says, I was a raging alcoholic.
- 18:03Speaker 1: I got sober. I begged you. I cried. And it
- 18:07Speaker 1: seemed no matter what version of me I gave you,
- 18:10Speaker 1: you didn't want me anymore. And it seemed to start
- 18:15Speaker 1: the day that infidelity started. So then we see the
- 18:17Speaker 1: conversation on the couch with her talking to him about
- 18:19Speaker 1: his ex and also Amanda, her ex-girlfriend.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Who she introduced and brought into the relationship. Right. Sexually.
- 18:32Speaker 2: And then that's why you don't do a threesome with
- 18:34Speaker 2: someone that you know.
- 18:35Speaker 1: And also, I think she really was trying to like,
- 18:40Speaker 1: she felt him drifting away and was trying to spike
- 18:43Speaker 1: the marriage.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Yeah. Which I get it. It's like, isn't the Bunny
- 18:46Speaker 2: Ranch in Vegas? Like, why didn't y'all just hire someone
- 18:49Speaker 2: from the Bunny Ranch to do a threesome with and
- 18:50Speaker 2: you never have to see that person again? You don't
- 18:53Speaker 2: get your best friend. That's too close.
- 18:55Speaker 1: You're right. You're right. So Marcelino says, I want to
- 19:00Speaker 1: address the so-called infidelity. I never cheated on Brittany. And
- 19:05Speaker 1: she goes, wait, what? She says, I found out he
- 19:08Speaker 1: was talking to an ex, the only other girl he's
- 19:10Speaker 1: ever been in love with. He had sent her flowers.
- 19:13Speaker 1: He had hidden nude pictures of her on his phone.
- 19:17Speaker 1: He goes, it was crossing boundaries, but it wasn't cheating.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Yeah. So it seems to be a theme here about
- 19:26Speaker 2: what exactly cheating means. Because it means one thing for
- 19:30Speaker 2: the women and another thing for the men. And it's
- 19:33Speaker 2: clearly that the men think, unless I inserted something inside
- 19:38Speaker 2: of her, I wasn't cheating. Right. Which we all know
- 19:40Speaker 2: that's not true. Like, demolitional cheating. Emotional cheating is worse
- 19:45Speaker 2: than I think physical cheating.
- 19:47Speaker 1: I agree. And he says, okay, I understand. I, I
- 19:50Speaker 1: agree that that's what she thinks. I understand her feelings
- 19:53Speaker 1: on it, but they go back and forth on this
- 19:55Speaker 1: with Dr.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Issues.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Like you seem to have a different understanding of what
- 19:58Speaker 1: it is. He's like, I agree with what she's saying
- 20:01Speaker 1: that I, I agree that she thinks it's cheating, but
- 20:04Speaker 1: I didn't, didn't see it that way. So in the
- 20:07Speaker 1: talking head together, she says, I strongly believed in the
- 20:11Speaker 1: man Marcelino presented himself to be. And we see their
- 20:15Speaker 1: wedding with his stupid vows. And she says, I didn't
- 20:18Speaker 1: think I needed to tell him. It's not okay to
- 20:21Speaker 1: look at strippers online. It's not okay to text your
- 20:24Speaker 1: ex-girlfriend that you were in love with. And it's not
- 20:26Speaker 1: okay to try to cultivate a new relationship with your ex-girlfriend. Like,
- 20:31Speaker 1: I didn't think I had to tell him that, that
- 20:33Speaker 1: that meant cheating.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Well, I think, We all may need to have a
- 20:39Speaker 2: conversation with our men because it seems to me they
- 20:41Speaker 2: don't fucking know.
- 20:41Speaker 1: I mean, it is.
- 20:44Speaker 2: And it differs for it differs from person from couple
- 20:47Speaker 2: to couple because the women consider, oh, he's watching porn.
- 20:50Speaker 2: He's cheating. I don't consider that cheating. Right. You know
- 20:53Speaker 2: what I mean? But yeah, you emailing an ex and
- 20:57Speaker 2: sending them flowers. Well, you trying to get both of
- 20:58Speaker 2: y'all killed because that's what's about to happen. Okay. Crazy.
- 21:03Speaker 1: What was he trying to do? Trying to.
- 21:04Speaker 2: No. No. And I just pushed out two of your kids. Right.
- 21:12Speaker 1: So Brittany says they're back with Dr.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Ish.
- 21:15Speaker 1: And she says, I would have followed his lead until
- 21:18Speaker 1: the day I died. I respected him. I gave my
- 21:22Speaker 1: heart to him. And he goes, but you're leaving things out.
- 21:25Speaker 1: You're leaving things out.
- 21:26Speaker 2: The abuse.
- 21:28Speaker 1: And we're like, what? And she goes, I've hit him
- 21:31Speaker 1: a lot.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Whoa. We know she can fight because we've seen her
- 21:35Speaker 2: throw down.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Okay.
- 21:37Speaker 2: So we know she's not afraid and she could throw
- 21:39Speaker 2: a punch. I just didn't realize she was beating the
- 21:42Speaker 2: shit out of Marcelino.
- 21:44Speaker 1: And she goes, I know it's not okay. I know
- 21:46Speaker 1: that was bad. She goes, I was very angstful, very angstful.
- 21:51Speaker 1: I was very angry and rageful and in a dark, angstful.
- 21:54Speaker 1: I was angstful.
- 21:55Speaker 2: I'm going to use that all day today.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Rageful. She says, I was in a dark place and
- 22:00Speaker 1: I didn't know where to put it, you know? So,
- 22:04Speaker 1: Marcelino says he was an abused kid when he was
- 22:08Speaker 1: a teenager by a female. So, his mom?
- 22:12Speaker 2: I assume it's his mom. I don't know, but when
- 22:15Speaker 2: they showed that baby picture of him... Remind me.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. It was just him by himself.
- 22:23Speaker 1: He was so cute with all that hair.
- 22:24Speaker 2: My ovaries dropped. I was just like, that is a
- 22:26Speaker 2: beautiful child. Like, I want one. Like, I mean, he was...
- 22:32Speaker 2: You forget how good looking Marcelino is because he's.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Such an asshole now.
- 22:37Speaker 2: But what a beautiful baby. I would have had all
- 22:39Speaker 2: his babies too, Brittany.
- 22:42Speaker 1: He said, Dr. Ish says, well, no child deserves that.
- 22:46Speaker 1: And he goes, you know, man, you've been through some
- 22:48Speaker 1: serious trauma. And Marcelino starts crying. Like he's holding it back,
- 22:52Speaker 1: but he's crying. So Dr. Ish goes and sits by
- 22:55Speaker 1: him and puts his arm around it. And Marcelino's like, no, no, no. Like,
- 22:57Speaker 1: I don't want your pity. And he goes, I'm not
- 22:59Speaker 1: giving you pity. I'm just coming to sit by you.
- 23:04Speaker 1: And he calmed down. And he calmed down. And it
- 23:06Speaker 1: was like a switch. It was a switch.
- 23:09Speaker 2: It was like, see? I mean, it was just like camera.
- 23:13Speaker 2: I mean, lights on, lights off. I was like, damn.
- 23:16Speaker 2: That's almost scary. It is.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Because you see how cool and calm and collected and
- 23:21Speaker 1: how measured and metered he is. Like, we made fun
- 23:23Speaker 1: of him those first seasons. Like, the big words he
- 23:25Speaker 1: was using all the time. Like, I do not think
- 23:27Speaker 1: that the occupation of the blah, blah, blah. You know, like,
- 23:29Speaker 1: what are you saying? Use plain English. So Dr. Ish
- 23:34Speaker 1: says to Marcelino, you had to protect yourself as a kid.
- 23:37Speaker 1: So you do the same thing here. You get very
- 23:40Speaker 1: walled off. And Marcelino goes, yeah, I got that all
- 23:43Speaker 1: squared away. And Dr. Ish looks over at Brittany and goes,
- 23:46Speaker 1: you see how he just turned it off?
- 23:48Speaker 2: Yeah. It was so fast.
- 23:50Speaker 1: And she was like, yeah, this is what I'm dealing with.
- 23:54Speaker 1: And Brittany says, he did not deserve that growing up.
- 23:57Speaker 1: And he did not deserve that from me.
- 24:01Speaker 2: And so it sounds like, because it sounds like he
- 24:05Speaker 2: didn't fight her back.
- 24:07Speaker 1: No, absolutely not.
- 24:09Speaker 2: It sounds like he just would let her, which takes
- 24:13Speaker 2: a lot of control when someone's hitting you and you
- 24:16Speaker 2: don't hit them back.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Or push them down or anything, because for sure she
- 24:21Speaker 2: would have told us if he did. Yes. Right.
- 24:24Speaker 1: It wouldn't be, she started it, but he finished it,
- 24:26Speaker 1: you know? So I'm talking to Brittany says, I didn't
- 24:31Speaker 1: know the depths of his abuse, but when I heard
- 24:34Speaker 1: about it, I felt so wrong and God awful for
- 24:37Speaker 1: what I did. And I never want to be someone
- 24:40Speaker 1: who triggers someone else's childhood trauma because God knows, I mean,
- 24:43Speaker 1: what she's been through, right?
- 24:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:45Speaker 1: So Dr. Ish goes, okay, you guys are dealing with
- 24:50Speaker 1: two very different sets of trauma. You can have two
- 24:53Speaker 1: different rooms.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Thank God.
- 24:56Speaker 1: And the talking head Marcelino says, when I was a child,
- 24:59Speaker 1: if I was quiet, then maybe the abuse would be
- 25:02Speaker 1: over quicker. And that makes me introspective about how I've
- 25:06Speaker 1: dealt with Brittany. When she would get mad and go
- 25:09Speaker 1: from zero to 100, I would just shut down and
- 25:12Speaker 1: hope for it to be done quicker. And he says,
- 25:16Speaker 1: but he said, suppressing my childhood trauma. affected my relationship
- 25:21Speaker 1: with my wife. And I don't know if that, if
- 25:24Speaker 1: somehow they can weave that through to the cheating, because
- 25:27Speaker 1: that really is the issue here. The issue is when
- 25:31Speaker 1: she found out he was cheating and her reaction to it, right?
- 25:35Speaker 2: That way more. Yeah.
- 25:38Speaker 1: And then I think she was sober. I think she
- 25:40Speaker 1: was sober when the cheating happened. I think that the,
- 25:44Speaker 1: I think the drinking was right at the beginning.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Yeah. Okay.
- 25:47Speaker 1: I do. Because when we first saw their seasons, she
- 25:50Speaker 1: was out getting drunk with her friends and stuff. And
- 25:52Speaker 1: then when we saw them come back for like a
- 25:57Speaker 1: life after lockup, she wasn't drinking anymore. So I think
- 26:02Speaker 1: it was somewhere in between there, but the, the I
- 26:06Speaker 1: think the cheating was the thing that sparked it. And
- 26:09Speaker 1: then that caused her to flip and abuse him. And
- 26:12Speaker 1: then that caused him to shut down. Like it was
- 26:14Speaker 1: just a chain reaction, you know, and every, she was bad.
- 26:17Speaker 1: He was wrong. She was wrong. You know, everything was wrong.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Yeah. Okay.
- 26:21Speaker 1: So now we're in Justine and Michael's room and he's
- 26:24Speaker 1: just sitting on the edge of the bed.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Right.
- 26:26Speaker 1: And he goes, I'm just getting angry by the minute.
- 26:29Speaker 1: And she goes, well, what's going on? And he goes,
- 26:31Speaker 1: I got bugs in my hair and this room is
- 26:33Speaker 1: cold as shit.
- 26:35Speaker 2: I mean, it's me off too. Like, but did you
- 26:38Speaker 2: bring them with you? Like, why are they in your hair?
- 26:41Speaker 1: I think like, well, Louis was like, when we went
- 26:44Speaker 1: in our room, there were bugs. So I think that
- 26:46Speaker 1: like walking over, you know, maybe something landed and he's
- 26:50Speaker 1: got that hair. Maybe something landed and he was like
- 26:52Speaker 1: trying to get it out. And he probably just meant
- 26:54Speaker 1: like something landed and he was trying to get it out.
- 26:56Speaker 1: I don't think it was in his room.
- 26:57Speaker 2: I mean, that's enough to ruin my day.
- 26:59Speaker 1: Or piss me off. Yeah, I would be like, well.
- 27:02Speaker 2: And it's everybody's fault. Like it's everybody's fault that we're here.
- 27:05Speaker 1: And now I'm not sleeping.
- 27:06Speaker 2: My hair is cold.
- 27:08Speaker 1: And I don't sleep. Now I'm not sleeping because I
- 27:09Speaker 1: can't sleep because I think a bug's in my hair.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Because you think a bug's going to get on you. Yeah.
- 27:12Speaker 2: I mean, it's a little bit odd to hear a
- 27:14Speaker 2: guy say it, but you know, it is what it is.
- 27:17Speaker 1: I don't think anybody wants a bug to land in
- 27:19Speaker 1: their hair.
- 27:20Speaker 2: I'm thinking you lived in prison. Well, isn't your hair
- 27:24Speaker 2: in prison?
- 27:24Speaker 1: Well, that's what she said. She goes, you've been through
- 27:27Speaker 1: way worse.
- 27:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:30Speaker 1: He goes, you know, I just don't believe in all this.
- 27:32Speaker 1: I think it's bullshit. And he goes, I used to
- 27:34Speaker 1: serve psychiatrists. And she goes, who cares? You didn't serve him.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Who cares?
- 27:40Speaker 2: So every therapist is not a drug addict. He keeps
- 27:43Speaker 2: using it as an excuse.
- 27:45Speaker 1: It literally is like this excuse didn't work. So I'm
- 27:48Speaker 1: going to go for this one. That one didn't work.
- 27:51Speaker 1: I'm going to go for this.
- 27:53Speaker 2: He's pounded this in. I'm like, okay, but Dr. Ish
- 27:55Speaker 2: looks like he's not on fentanyl or crack. I think
- 27:58Speaker 2: he's good.
- 27:59Speaker 1: I think he's good. But he keeps like, I'm cold.
- 28:02Speaker 1: I'm mad about that. There's bugs. I'm mad about that.
- 28:04Speaker 1: I don't believe in therapy. I'm mad about that. I
- 28:06Speaker 1: used to, you know, he just keeps like reaching, you know?
- 28:09Speaker 2: Yeah. He sounds like me on a Thursday night.
- 28:17Speaker 1: And so he is talking out. He goes, I don't
- 28:18Speaker 1: believe in therapy. You know, I had a few therapists
- 28:21Speaker 1: as clients. I think all therapists are hypocrites. And she's like,
- 28:25Speaker 1: that's crazy. And he goes, nobody will ever understand what
- 28:29Speaker 1: I went through. And that's true. Everybody's experience is their own.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. But here you are in a situation with
- 28:36Speaker 2: other people who were in prison and So maybe you
- 28:39Speaker 2: have that chance to do the bonding. And then I
- 28:42Speaker 2: almost wish I could like say, Michael, do you know
- 28:44Speaker 2: how many doctors and nurses are addicts? Like there's a lot.
- 28:49Speaker 2: So I got to go to the fucking ER. If
- 28:51Speaker 2: you get shot, like, Oh, don't touch me. I know.
- 28:53Speaker 2: I didn't know a doctor that did. No, you're going
- 28:56Speaker 2: to save my life. It's the same thing. If he
- 28:58Speaker 2: can look at it from that viewpoint, but he's just,
- 29:01Speaker 2: he looks mad and hungry. If you ask me, he
- 29:05Speaker 2: just looks mad and hungry.
- 29:06Speaker 1: He's hungry. I don't think he's hungry. So she goes,
- 29:10Speaker 1: so they're back sitting on the bed and she goes,
- 29:12Speaker 1: you're just mad that you have to do something you
- 29:15Speaker 1: don't want to do. And I think that's comes to
- 29:17Speaker 1: the base of it. And he goes, I don't like
- 29:20Speaker 1: that he's going to try to tell me about me.
- 29:23Speaker 1: And she sarcastically goes, Oh, no, honey. He knows he'll
- 29:27Speaker 1: never get through to you. Oh, he should just know
- 29:30Speaker 1: he's never going to crack you. How would he dare
- 29:33Speaker 1: think he could help you? And then we could go
- 29:35Speaker 1: back to Vegas and things would be better and different.
- 29:39Speaker 1: He's like, yeah, that's right.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:41Speaker 1: He doesn't get the sarcasm. And so she, Justine goes,
- 29:45Speaker 1: but you could just talk to me and tell me
- 29:47Speaker 1: what's going on. He goes, yo, I don't want to talk. Like,
- 29:50Speaker 1: why do I always have to talk? Like, why can't
- 29:52Speaker 1: I just have a minute and not talk? And she goes, okay, fine.
- 29:56Speaker 1: You know, good luck with your bugs in your hair. And,
- 29:58Speaker 1: you know, she walks off.
- 30:00Speaker 2: He's just been a bratty kid right about now.
- 30:02Speaker 1: She said something about a tick. She said something about,
- 30:05Speaker 1: I'll take the tick out of your ass or something.
- 30:07Speaker 1: And I was like, did he get a tick?
- 30:11Speaker 2: I mean, because it looks like there are ticks where
- 30:13Speaker 2: they are. So I would die.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Do you know that one time, I think it was Violet. No,
- 30:23Speaker 1: it was Ginger. One of my dogs got a tick
- 30:25Speaker 1: on the tip of their nose.
- 30:28Speaker 2: I would fucking lose my mind.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Yeah. We took her to the vet to get it
- 30:34Speaker 1: taken off because we were like, we're not going to
- 30:35Speaker 1: be able to get that off.
- 30:37Speaker 2: No. Especially her. Of the dogs, it had to be Ginger.
- 30:45Speaker 1: I think it was Violet. I think it was Violet.
- 30:49Speaker 1: I can't remember. But it was bad. All of a sudden,
- 30:51Speaker 1: I was like, what is happening? There's this huge bump
- 30:54Speaker 1: on the nose. Yeah, a lot.
- 30:58Speaker 2: It's such a sensitive spot too. I know.
- 31:00Speaker 1: And the dog doesn't even fucking notice. All right, ladies,
- 31:04Speaker 1: let's talk and be honest here. A lot of us
- 31:07Speaker 1: are ladies of a certain age and we are so busy.
- 31:11Speaker 1: I was just talking to a good friend of mine
- 31:14Speaker 1: this weekend about this. We're so busy. We have no
- 31:16Speaker 1: time to think about anything and we're all stressed for
- 31:19Speaker 1: some reason or another. My stress is not your stress.
- 31:22Speaker 1: Your stress is not my stress. Everybody's got something going on.
- 31:25Speaker 1: And that's the idea behind Dame's Desire Gummies. Low desire
- 31:30Speaker 1: usually isn't a you problem. It's a stress problem. So
- 31:34Speaker 1: let's talk about it, okay? Desire isn't just physical. It's
- 31:37Speaker 1: in your head. It's tangled up with stress, mood, and
- 31:39Speaker 1: how much you're carrying in your daily life. And Dame

- 32:35Speaker 1: by a third-party lab with 53 women aged 24 to 52.
- 32:40Speaker 1: who reported low desire and stressful lifestyles. So the participants
- 32:44Speaker 1: reported improvement, and they said they had increased sexual desire

- 33:27Speaker 1: day that we go to the next day, we see
- 33:29Speaker 1: people like making breakfast and all this. And he, Michael,
- 33:33Speaker 1: is telling Justine, you know, I'm sorry for last night.
- 33:37Speaker 1: He doesn't say he's sorry, but kind of he says
- 33:39Speaker 1: he's sorry. And he says, I want to have the
- 33:43Speaker 1: courage to face my traumas. And I want to be
- 33:45Speaker 1: there for my wife because I know that she needs
- 33:50Speaker 1: me as much as I needed her when I was
- 33:52Speaker 1: on the inside. So, like, he's like, as we're going
- 33:55Speaker 1: through this and shit's going to come up for her.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Right.
- 33:58Speaker 1: Which it does.
- 34:00Speaker 2: It does. So.
- 34:01Speaker 1: They all go to breakfast and Louie's like, okay, you guys,
- 34:04Speaker 1: it's going to be a great day. We're going to
- 34:05Speaker 1: have therapy. You know, I started off at 6am with
- 34:08Speaker 1: the gym workout and dah, dah, dah. And they're like, wow.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Have you ever thought about being a motivational speaker? Like
- 34:13Speaker 1: you're like, you're really great. And Melissa goes, and it's
- 34:16Speaker 1: not fake.
- 34:18Speaker 2: No, it's not fake at all.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Melissa says, I call it toxic positivity. Um, And they're
- 34:28Speaker 1: talking to Justin, and Michael go, Melissa is so hard
- 34:31Speaker 1: on Louie. She is so hard on him.
- 34:33Speaker 2: You know, it's weird because she's so hard on him,
- 34:36Speaker 2: but we know how much she really fucking loves this guy.
- 34:40Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, she does.
- 34:41Speaker 2: And I think how much she loves him scares her
- 34:44Speaker 2: a little bit. And I gotta say, Melissa looked like
- 34:46Speaker 2: she had a bottle of red wine the night before.
- 34:48Speaker 1: She's a little puffy.
- 34:49Speaker 2: A little bit puffy. Yeah, very puffy.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Um like me this morning when i woke up so
- 34:54Speaker 1: the talk head marcelino and britney are like we love
- 34:56Speaker 1: louis like we love that guy they're like we wish
- 35:00Speaker 1: she wasn't so hard on him you know well.
- 35:02Speaker 2: Hey louis always gonna make sure everybody see all his
- 35:04Speaker 2: teeth like he is proud of those teeth he is
- 35:06Speaker 2: proud of those teeth like the teeth are his children
- 35:09Speaker 2: like i gotta show you guys this let's see a
- 35:11Speaker 2: picture of my teeth i mean he's come a long
- 35:14Speaker 2: way yeah for him and listen.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Of all the couples, they did it right. Within the
- 35:21Speaker 1: first week of getting out, he went to a dentist
- 35:23Speaker 1: to find out what he could do.
- 35:25Speaker 2: Because he wouldn't have come home with me with those
- 35:27Speaker 2: other teeth.
- 35:28Speaker 1: I know, but all these other people.
- 35:30Speaker 2: No, all the other people, they don't care.
- 35:32Speaker 1: But he did it. He was like, no, I'm going
- 35:34Speaker 1: to get it all together. Good for him.
- 35:36Speaker 2: Yeah, good for you, Louie.
- 35:38Speaker 1: So they're all sitting around talking and Justine and Michael
- 35:43Speaker 1: are like, yeah, you guys come to Vegas. It would
- 35:44Speaker 1: be so fun. Everybody bring the kids and Oh, they're like,
- 35:47Speaker 1: don't stay at our house. We've got nine people. But
- 35:50Speaker 1: is it pretty kids? And Kimberly goes, I would really
- 35:54Speaker 1: love that because we never hang out with anybody. You know,
- 35:57Speaker 1: I went on. I want to see his old friends
- 35:59Speaker 1: and my friends don't agree, you know, with what he's
- 36:02Speaker 1: got going on. And he says, I cut my grandmother off.
- 36:09Speaker 1: I cut my grandmother off. And she says, OK, Joey, Joey.
- 36:15Speaker 1: What did you do to your grandma? Like, let me
- 36:17Speaker 1: hold you accountable here. And he goes, nothing. And she goes, Joey.
- 36:21Speaker 1: And he goes, I stole from her. And Michael goes,
- 36:24Speaker 1: how much? How much? And he goes, 90. And then
- 36:28Speaker 1: he says, 90K. So, okay.
- 36:35Speaker 2: What?
- 36:36Speaker 1: He goes, she got 400K in there. She's lucky I
- 36:39Speaker 1: didn't take that.
- 36:41Speaker 2: What does your grandmother do? Number one, that she's just
- 36:45Speaker 2: got this money sitting in the bank like that. Number one.
- 36:47Speaker 2: And how long did it take for her to discover
- 36:52Speaker 2: that you stole $ 90, 000? How did he not snort himself
- 36:57Speaker 2: to death with all that money and all the drugs
- 36:59Speaker 2: that he was using? That is crazy.
- 37:02Speaker 1: And to make it and to make a joke. To go,
- 37:05Speaker 1: she had $ 400 and she's lucky I didn't take the
- 37:08Speaker 1: whole $ 400? No, the answer here is, I was using
- 37:12Speaker 1: at the time. I so regret it. I love my grandmother.
- 37:15Speaker 1: I hope one day I can restore the relationship. I've
- 37:17Speaker 1: worked hard to pay her back. No, he makes a
- 37:20Speaker 1: joke about how he should have taken all of it.
- 37:23Speaker 2: Okay, I got to confess. If I were sitting there
- 37:25Speaker 2: and he said that like that, I'd be on the
- 37:27Speaker 2: floor laughing. Because that shit is just like, wow, way
- 37:31Speaker 2: to make it small. Like, it was no big deal.
- 37:33Speaker 2: She's lucky I didn't clean her out. That was kind
- 37:37Speaker 2: of funny to me.
- 37:38Speaker 1: I mean, Michael kind of laughs.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Because it's like, damn. Okay.
- 37:44Speaker 1: I think Michael's like, this white guy is crazier than
- 37:47Speaker 1: I fucking thought.
- 37:48Speaker 2: Yeah. He has got some... Look, if they don't save
- 37:52Speaker 2: him during this whole thing, I give him five years.
- 37:56Speaker 1: It's very hard to watch, and it's hard to watch
- 38:00Speaker 1: on behalf of Kimberly, because she needs... she needs she
- 38:04Speaker 1: deserves she does.
- 38:05Speaker 2: She needs to get away from him but i think
- 38:09Speaker 2: that she thinks if i'm not here he is gonna he's.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Gonna die but it's not her responsibility and she hasn't
- 38:15Speaker 1: gotten there yet i know you know so dr ish
- 38:19Speaker 1: says um so today we're going to talk about trauma
- 38:25Speaker 1: fun um He says being incarcerated and loving someone incarcerated
- 38:31Speaker 1: can both be traumatic. So we're going in groups. And
- 38:36Speaker 1: Joey's like, right away I noticed it's felons and non-felons.
- 38:40Speaker 1: And I thought, I don't want to leave her alone.
- 38:42Speaker 1: He's going to say, you should leave him. You don't
- 38:45Speaker 1: need Dr. Ish to tell us that.
- 38:48Speaker 2: Yeah. The girls that she's with are going to go,
- 38:51Speaker 2: why are you fucking with this loser? Right.
- 38:53Speaker 1: Look at you, girl. You don't need this.
- 38:55Speaker 2: Come on. So.
- 38:58Speaker 1: He takes the felons in to chat with Yusuf Dahl.
- 39:03Speaker 1: He is a prison reform advocate. He works on changing
- 39:07Speaker 1: policy and law for people coming out of prison to
- 39:09Speaker 1: help them get jobs, help them get housing. He's obviously
- 39:12Speaker 1: very legit, very the real deal. Please have him on
- 39:16Speaker 1: every season.
- 39:17Speaker 2: I've seen him on something else.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Oh, you have?
- 39:21Speaker 2: Yeah. I cannot put it. It seemed like it was
- 39:24Speaker 2: something on WE tv, but I've seen him before.
- 39:28Speaker 1: He's yeah he's very legit and he seems like um
- 39:32Speaker 1: he should be on every season he's very um encouraged.
- 39:36Speaker 2: Soon as they get out they need to go to
- 39:38Speaker 2: both dr ish and yusuf.
- 39:40Speaker 1: Yeah just to get just one week one week and
- 39:43Speaker 1: So they have all these flags hanging in the yurt
- 39:47Speaker 1: and they say, um, every one is like a type
- 39:51Speaker 1: of trauma. So pull the ones that apply to you.
- 39:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:55Speaker 1: So we see all sorts of trauma you can get.
- 39:58Speaker 2: Right. Yes.
- 39:59Speaker 1: So they all a lot and they have a lot
- 40:02Speaker 1: of like the same ones over and over. Cause a
- 40:04Speaker 1: lot of people went through the same thing. So they,
- 40:08Speaker 1: they pull their, They're like exercise bands. And they pull
- 40:12Speaker 1: them and they say, okay, talk about like the one that,
- 40:16Speaker 1: I don't know if they get to talk about each one,
- 40:18Speaker 1: but they say talk about like just one that probably
- 40:21Speaker 1: affected you the most.
- 40:22Speaker 2: The most, yeah.
- 40:23Speaker 1: So Louie pulled up one and I can't remember what
- 40:28Speaker 1: his said. I think it was disappointment or something. But
- 40:33Speaker 1: he says, I was locked up from age 31 to 41.
- 40:39Speaker 1: And he said, it saved my life. I started doing
- 40:43Speaker 1: drugs so young, like eight years, 10 years old. And
- 40:46Speaker 1: so many people had expectations of me. And I let
- 40:50Speaker 1: so many people down. And he cries.
- 40:53Speaker 2: Yeah. So he was smart. He was good looking. He
- 40:56Speaker 2: was popular. He had all the potential in the world.
- 40:59Speaker 1: Going to college. Yeah.
- 41:00Speaker 2: Going to college and everything. So, yeah. And then he's
- 41:04Speaker 2: Donna's only kid. So he was like. Yeah. Mr. Sunshine,
- 41:09Speaker 2: like everything was on, was on him. And he never
- 41:13Speaker 2: really quite told us why he started drugs. Not that
- 41:16Speaker 2: I can remember.
- 41:19Speaker 1: So he starts crying and he says that he, and Dr.
- 41:23Speaker 1: Is says, who did you let down the most? Now here,
- 41:25Speaker 1: I thought he was going to say his mom.
- 41:27Speaker 2: No, I knew he was going to say his son.
- 41:29Speaker 1: I had 1000% forgotten he had a son.
- 41:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:34Speaker 1: Shocking brand new information to me. If I knew it
- 41:36Speaker 1: before it had left my brain.
- 41:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:39Speaker 1: And he says, mostly I let down my son. When
- 41:42Speaker 1: I went into prison, he was four. But when I
- 41:44Speaker 1: came out, he was 14. And he says, I don't
- 41:48Speaker 1: have a relationship with him, but I'm trying. And you
- 41:52Speaker 1: know he's trying. And he says, I would never have
- 41:56Speaker 1: made it to even be here if I hadn't gone
- 41:58Speaker 1: to prison. And so Yusuf asked him, like, explain that
- 42:02Speaker 1: to me, because most people come out worse than when
- 42:04Speaker 1: they went in. And he says, I don't know. When
- 42:06Speaker 1: I went in there, I took on a leadership role. I,
- 42:09Speaker 1: people came to me for advice. I just became a
- 42:11Speaker 1: different person. Um, and it really, it really worked. And
- 42:16Speaker 1: I think the only time he ever got in trouble
- 42:18Speaker 1: was when Melissa came to visit him and gave him
- 42:20Speaker 1: a blow job or something. And he got in trouble
- 42:22Speaker 1: on his work site when he was in that halfway house.
- 42:25Speaker 2: Yeah. I've been in prison 10 years. I'm willing to
- 42:30Speaker 2: risk a little bit for a blow job.
- 42:33Speaker 1: And he got like three months added on for that.
- 42:37Speaker 2: And I bet he was like, but that shit was
- 42:39Speaker 2: worth it. And I get new teeth when I get out.
- 42:41Speaker 2: It was worth it. It was worth it. Yeah.
- 42:44Speaker 1: So in a talking head, Brittany says, I really relate
- 42:48Speaker 1: to Louie because everybody can get high and drunk, but
- 42:52Speaker 1: not everybody can come back from that. He has such
- 42:54Speaker 1: a pure heart and not everybody can like, you know,
- 42:58Speaker 1: like she's proof. That you can come out and make
- 43:02Speaker 1: it work. And he is proof. And I think in
- 43:05Speaker 1: a lot of ways, Michael is proof, even though mentally
- 43:08Speaker 1: he's not great. You know, he hasn't gone back to
- 43:10Speaker 1: the street life, you know.
- 43:11Speaker 2: I don't think he was mentally okay when he went in. No.
- 43:16Speaker 2: I think he had a very rough childhood. You know,
- 43:21Speaker 2: because he got shipped back and forth between the parents
- 43:24Speaker 2: because he just, he wouldn't do right with his mom.
- 43:26Speaker 2: So she sent him to dad. He wouldn't do right there.
- 43:29Speaker 2: Then dad would send him back.
- 43:31Speaker 1: And then when he was a, then he was a
- 43:33Speaker 1: huge drug dealer and rapper and they all lived off
- 43:36Speaker 1: his money.
- 43:37Speaker 2: Okay. Okay. Okay. But you know what I'm saying? He
- 43:39Speaker 2: wanted to be a rapper. Yeah. Okay. Right. So, and
- 43:42Speaker 2: then we just found out this week that like his
- 43:44Speaker 2: 15 year old sister died. I know.
- 43:47Speaker 1: What was that about?
- 43:48Speaker 2: I don't know what happened though.
- 43:50Speaker 1: I don't know what happened.
- 43:52Speaker 2: And I've been looking.
- 43:53Speaker 1: And you haven't seen it. When did we look on
- 43:56Speaker 1: the Reddit? Did you look on the Reddit?
- 43:58Speaker 2: I did not look on the Reddit.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Reddit usually has all the answers. So, by the way,
- 44:02Speaker 1: probably Kimberly listened to this episode like, I know! Because
- 44:05Speaker 1: she's on the Reddit 24-7. But that was terrible that
- 44:10Speaker 1: he had a sister that died.
- 44:11Speaker 2: I was like, what the fuck?
- 44:12Speaker 1: I was like, 15?
- 44:13Speaker 2: Jesus. Okay.
- 44:16Speaker 1: So, Brittany, she has pulled, she talks about two that
- 44:21Speaker 1: she's pulled. One was sexual trauma and betrayal. She reminds
- 44:27Speaker 1: us of her horrible story, which was she ran away
- 44:30Speaker 1: at age 12 because her mom was on drugs.
- 44:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:33Speaker 1: She ran away at age 12, and she was with
- 44:36Speaker 1: a man who was 30. For six years, she was
- 44:40Speaker 1: with this man. She got hooked on meth. She had
- 44:44Speaker 1: two children that she gave up for adoption. She was homeless.
- 44:48Speaker 2: Yes.
- 44:48Speaker 1: They had to live in a park. She didn't know
- 44:50Speaker 1: where her next meal was coming from. She was like,
- 44:53Speaker 1: this man was sexually abusing me in the park while
- 44:55Speaker 1: I was pregnant. And she's probably, what, 16, 17 years old,
- 44:59Speaker 1: and he's in his 30s. She says, I never thought
- 45:04Speaker 1: I would be able to love a man or trust
- 45:07Speaker 1: a man. And so I do feel betrayal after all
- 45:11Speaker 1: the work I did and gave myself wholeheartedly to my husband.
- 45:17Speaker 1: And the infidelity just got me to my core. And
- 45:23Speaker 1: over in the other room, it's good, clean fun over there.
- 45:26Speaker 1: They're playing games.
- 45:27Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Marcelino's the head cheerleader over there. Like, girls,
- 45:32Speaker 2: we're going to get together and play. I mean, I've
- 45:34Speaker 2: never seen Marcelino laugh so hard.
- 45:36Speaker 1: I've never seen him smile like that. He was so happy.
- 45:39Speaker 2: He was having a good time. Yes. I was just like,
- 45:41Speaker 2: this is what he did. You know how sometimes you're like,
- 45:45Speaker 2: I really needed that. I think this is Marcelino's, I
- 45:48Speaker 2: really needed that moment.
- 45:49Speaker 1: Because clearly he did. So they're playing a game and like,
- 45:54Speaker 1: who's got the coolest tattoo? And they're, you know, and
- 45:56Speaker 1: he's smiling and who's a member of the Mile High Club?
- 45:59Speaker 1: And they're laughing and talking to him. Melissa goes, Marcelino,
- 46:04Speaker 1: just one of the girls is having a great time.
- 46:07Speaker 1: He really is.
- 46:08Speaker 2: I was just like, this is his happy place.
- 46:11Speaker 1: Yeah, these are his new friends. So, Now, Dr. Ish,
- 46:16Speaker 1: back in the yurt, asks Julius what bands he pulls.
- 46:20Speaker 1: And he says, poverty. He says, everything in my life
- 46:24Speaker 1: had to do with the way I grew up. We
- 46:25Speaker 1: were on Section 8 housing. We were on food stamps.
- 46:29Speaker 1: And we see his mom and all the kids. And
- 46:31Speaker 1: he says, and all that played a part in my choices.
- 46:35Speaker 1: He goes, I got locked up at 19 and out
- 46:39Speaker 1: at 26. And we talk about this a lot on
- 46:42Speaker 1: the show. Imagine what happens... in your life between 19
- 46:47Speaker 1: and 26? A lot. Oh, my God. If you go
- 46:51Speaker 1: to college, you have that whole college experience. You graduate college.
- 46:55Speaker 1: You get your first apartment. You have to learn how
- 46:57Speaker 1: to live with roommates. You got to learn how to
- 46:59Speaker 1: pay your own bills. So many things happened in those
- 47:02Speaker 1: years that he didn't do. I forgot he could talk.
- 47:08Speaker 1: This is the most we've ever seen him talk coherently.
- 47:11Speaker 2: We could understand it. Yeah. I was like, okay. Okay. Okay.
- 47:16Speaker 2: There is a brain in there rattling around. Um, so yeah,
- 47:21Speaker 2: I was just, cause he doesn't talk that much when
- 47:22Speaker 2: he's around Brittany.
- 47:24Speaker 1: And he doesn't talk Alexis and he doesn't talk that much.
- 47:27Speaker 1: He always seems baked. So, um, he's right now. He says,
- 47:31Speaker 1: I grew up, I had to grow up in jail.
- 47:34Speaker 1: And I think I've been doing a decent job. And
- 47:38Speaker 1: the talking head, Julia says, I've had to learn to
- 47:40Speaker 1: adjust to the outside lifestyle. And I sometimes think Alexis
- 47:45Speaker 1: expects too much for me. I'm really learning. And this
- 47:48Speaker 1: is my first relationship and I don't know what to do.
- 47:51Speaker 1: And I'm overwhelmed. And then all of a sudden they
- 47:52Speaker 1: have a baby.
- 47:52Speaker 2: That was, it was a lot. She, I mean, she,
- 47:56Speaker 2: I want to say she gave him no time. but
- 48:01Speaker 2: he was the one in prison doing jail talk, promising
- 48:04Speaker 2: her like, we're going to do this. We're going to
- 48:06Speaker 2: do that. And they're both young and dumb. And neither
- 48:10Speaker 2: one of them say, you know what? You come out,
- 48:11Speaker 2: you do the Keisha plan, the Keisha plan, what you
- 48:15Speaker 2: need to do. And then in a year, not much
- 48:18Speaker 2: to a year, we get back together and see if
- 48:20Speaker 2: we can do it. Also needed that.
- 48:22Speaker 1: Also condoms, birth control pills. These are things that also work,
- 48:26Speaker 1: you know.
- 48:26Speaker 2: See a common thing around here. They like to get
- 48:29Speaker 2: pregnant real quick.
- 48:31Speaker 1: They think that's going to lock a guy in and
- 48:33Speaker 1: it just girl, historically baby.
- 48:36Speaker 2: Yeah. Like it doesn't work.
- 48:39Speaker 1: Um, so, um, we go to Joey. Joey says, I
- 48:45Speaker 1: chose unforgiven because my whole family has abandoned me because
- 48:50Speaker 1: they've labeled me. They go, he's done drugs. He sold drugs.
- 48:54Speaker 1: He's got guns. He's stolen from us. He's done all
- 48:56Speaker 1: these things and he can't change. And Dr. Ish goes,
- 49:01Speaker 1: is there a part of you that thinks they're right?
- 49:03Speaker 1: And he goes, yeah. And he says, you know, I
- 49:06Speaker 1: love Kimberly and I love those kids and I love
- 49:08Speaker 1: the dogs. But I like that he mentioned the dogs.
- 49:13Speaker 1: He says, but by loving them so much and knowing
- 49:15Speaker 1: how I am, sometimes I think I should just let
- 49:18Speaker 1: them go to protect themselves. from me.
- 49:21Speaker 2: Ooh, that was deep.
- 49:25Speaker 1: That was, that was deep.
- 49:27Speaker 2: And it is, it is something that men do. They're like,
- 49:31Speaker 2: I'm not going to measure up. I love this person.
- 49:33Speaker 2: And the only way to show them how much I
- 49:35Speaker 2: love them is not to fuck up their life. Yeah.
- 49:38Speaker 2: That was kind of smart of him.
- 49:41Speaker 1: I should have done it a long time ago.
- 49:42Speaker 2: But then on the flip side, if he's not there,
- 49:44Speaker 2: I think he's not going to make it. Right.
- 49:47Speaker 1: But again, that's not her responsibility. It's his responsibility.
- 49:52Speaker 2: But you know how we like to be Captain Save-A-Ho.
- 49:54Speaker 1: I know.
- 49:55Speaker 2: I know.
- 49:55Speaker 1: We just do. Michael says, bro, like that's profound. And
- 50:00Speaker 1: that's selflessness. Like forget all that talk about everybody else says, man,
- 50:04Speaker 1: everybody's got an opinion. But not everybody's been through what
- 50:06Speaker 1: we've been through. And Yusef says, yeah, it's about forgiving yourself.
- 50:12Speaker 1: You've made mistakes, but you're still here showing up. And Dr.
- 50:17Speaker 1: Ish says, you got to give yourself some grace. These
- 50:19Speaker 1: things don't happen overnight. But I mean, I don't know
- 50:23Speaker 1: how long he's been out and gone back in and
- 50:24Speaker 1: gone to rehab. I mean, I don't know.
- 50:26Speaker 2: He's done a lot in a short amount of time.
- 50:30Speaker 1: Right, and I think he did a lot to get
- 50:31Speaker 1: himself to prison in the first place. You know, I just,
- 50:35Speaker 1: I fully agree with what Yusuf and Dr. Isher are saying.
- 50:38Speaker 1: And yes, give yourself some grace. But I, what we
- 50:42Speaker 1: have seen is he does not seem to be working
- 50:45Speaker 1: any kind of program actively. Like, if Louis, if you
- 50:51Speaker 1: found out he like fell off the wagon and started
- 50:53Speaker 1: drinking or something, you'd be like, my God, this man
- 50:55Speaker 1: has been working this program. Give him some grace.
- 50:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:02Speaker 1: So Michael says he chooses the poverty band. He says
- 51:08Speaker 1: poverty made me a hustler. I was around eight and
- 51:13Speaker 1: my mom would leave me and my siblings with my
- 51:16Speaker 1: aunt and uncle. And I could tell they didn't like us.
- 51:19Speaker 1: They didn't want us there, especially my uncle. And once
- 51:22Speaker 1: we were at their house and they were all sitting around,
- 51:25Speaker 1: they were eating some good food. Like they had rice
- 51:27Speaker 1: and beans and chicken. And I thought, oh man, we're
- 51:29Speaker 1: about to eat some good food. But then they gave us,
- 51:31Speaker 1: the other kids, rice and some ketchup. And he says,
- 51:37Speaker 1: and my little sister, she looked over and she said,
- 51:39Speaker 1: can I get some of that chicken? So I wasn't
- 51:42Speaker 1: going to ask, but for my little sister, I said,
- 51:44Speaker 1: can my little sister get some chicken? And my uncle said, no,
- 51:46Speaker 1: get back over there and eat your rice. And he said,
- 51:49Speaker 1: and later that night, he was eight years old. And
- 51:53Speaker 1: later that night, my uncle brought a bunch of chicken
- 51:55Speaker 1: bones and threw them out on my doorstep and told me,
- 51:59Speaker 1: if you want some chicken, you can eat that.
- 52:02Speaker 2: What adult would do something like that?
- 52:06Speaker 1: To an eight year old.
- 52:08Speaker 2: To an eight year old. I mean, it was bad enough.
- 52:12Speaker 2: They didn't give him, give them chicken. And then everyone
- 52:15Speaker 2: else had chicken. Like, For me, I would never do
- 52:19Speaker 2: something like that. It is just like how heartless, like
- 52:23Speaker 2: at eight years old, you see how heartless the world
- 52:26Speaker 2: can be. Just over food.
- 52:29Speaker 1: And to hurt your- A necessity. To hurt your little
- 52:33Speaker 1: feelings like that.
- 52:34Speaker 2: Over something that you need, like you have to eat.
- 52:37Speaker 2: You know what I mean? This isn't like, oh, they
- 52:39Speaker 2: got a big, they got a toy. I didn't get
- 52:42Speaker 2: a toy that big. This is food that we're talking about.
- 52:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 52:46Speaker 2: Yeah. Horrible.
- 52:47Speaker 1: And he says, and I'll never forget that. I'll never
- 52:50Speaker 1: forget that man. I'll never forget that. And in my mind,
- 52:53Speaker 1: I'm like, the minute Michael got some money, he did
- 52:55Speaker 1: something to fuck.
- 52:55Speaker 2: That man up. I kind of, like, hope he did.
- 53:01Speaker 1: Like, now look at, I mean, you can see Michael
- 53:03Speaker 1: being that, like, oh.
- 53:05Speaker 2: Arrogant. Y'all, like, let me show you. Let me show you. Yeah.
- 53:09Speaker 1: So they're like, wow. Thanks for sharing. Like, that's hard.
- 53:13Speaker 1: A child should never have to go through that. So
- 53:18Speaker 1: they say, Yusef, how many times have you heard a
- 53:20Speaker 1: story like that? He goes, too many times. I heard
- 53:23Speaker 1: stories like that a lot, and it never gets easier
- 53:25Speaker 1: to hear it. He says, but I know what it's like.
- 53:28Speaker 1: He goes, I've also been incarcerated. When I was 14,
- 53:32Speaker 1: I went to juvie until age 17. But what I
- 53:35Speaker 1: learned in juvie was the way to get ahead was
- 53:38Speaker 1: to sell drugs. So I got out. I started doing that.
- 53:42Speaker 1: And then I got, at age 23, put back in
- 53:44Speaker 1: prison for five years. And he goes, and at my trial,
- 53:49Speaker 1: I heard my aunt say to my mother, don't worry
- 53:52Speaker 1: about him. He's never going to amount to anything. He's
- 53:54Speaker 1: going to be just like his father.
- 53:55Speaker 2: And he goes, but now. There's some fucked up aunts
- 53:58Speaker 2: going on over here. Like, we have an aunt that
- 54:01Speaker 2: let the husband not feed the kids. And this aunt, like,
- 54:04Speaker 2: good God. It's awful.
- 54:07Speaker 1: He goes, but I've been out of prison for 20 years.
- 54:10Speaker 1: I went to Princeton. I started a successful business. I'm like, shit,
- 54:14Speaker 1: this man went to Princeton?
- 54:15Speaker 2: I know. And when he started his story, I don't
- 54:19Speaker 2: think the felons knew that he had been in prison before.
- 54:24Speaker 2: Because the look of shock on their faces was like, okay,
- 54:27Speaker 2: he does get us. You know what I mean? Which
- 54:29Speaker 2: I think that helps a lot. And look at what
- 54:32Speaker 2: he has accomplished, even though he was just like us.
- 54:36Speaker 2: I mean, and he went to prison for selling drugs,
- 54:39Speaker 2: which is all of them. It was drug related stuff
- 54:43Speaker 2: that got them in prison. I think, right? All of them. Yeah.
- 54:48Speaker 1: Louis, Michael, Joey, Brittany, Julius. Yeah, all drugs.
- 54:53Speaker 2: I think Julius too. All of them.
- 54:54Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, they all, you know, Louis went in
- 54:59Speaker 1: prison for armed bank robbery, but it was because he
- 55:03Speaker 1: was trying to get money for drugs.
- 55:04Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 55:07Speaker 1: Y'all, as we get older, we start to notice things
- 55:09Speaker 1: changing about our skin. I look at an old photo
- 55:11Speaker 1: and I see brighter skin, but now I have more
- 55:13Speaker 1: dark spots and my skin is just not as even
- 55:15Speaker 1: as it used to be. So that's exactly why I
- 55:18Speaker 1: started using GU Skin Care. It's spelled J-I-Y-U. It's a
- 55:23Speaker 1: Korean skincare brand that's taken over the internet because of
- 55:27Speaker 1: the before and after results that people are seeing. It
- 55:29Speaker 1: helps your skin look healthier, smoother, brighter, firmer, and more
- 55:32Speaker 1: youthful without requiring this complicated routine. So they have these
- 55:37Speaker 1: rejuvenation toner pads. It's like the entire Korean skincare routine
- 55:41Speaker 1: packed into a single swipe. Every pad is saturated with
- 55:45Speaker 1: eight clinically-backed Korean skincare actives. It's your shortcut to that radiant,
- 55:50Speaker 1: glassy skin. It's designed for the brightening, the hydrating, the soothing,
- 55:55Speaker 1: and the anti-aging all in one. It helps combat those
- 55:58Speaker 1: dark spots, melasma, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, which I have, discoloration,
- 56:03Speaker 1: fine lines, which I have a million of, and wrinkles.
- 56:06Speaker 1: I mean, we know I've got those, okay? And the
- 56:08Speaker 1: best part is they leave your skin feeling so hydrated,
- 56:11Speaker 1: like nourished, refreshed, not stripped down or irritated like other
- 56:15Speaker 1: toner pads. Korean skincare has become like the gold standard
- 56:18Speaker 1: for healthy, glowing skin, right? We see it everywhere. And
- 56:21Speaker 1: this is the best one because, again, it's all in one.
- 56:24Speaker 1: But if you're trying it for the first time, I'd
- 56:26Speaker 1: recommend getting the Glow Up Bundle. It includes GU's best-selling toning,
- 56:32Speaker 1: polish pads, and their moisturizer with the NAD +. You
- 56:35Speaker 1: guys know I'm very into the NAD +. It's the
- 56:37Speaker 1: easiest way to experience the full GU routine while getting
- 56:41Speaker 1: the best overall value. And we need values. Their dermatologist tested.
- 56:46Speaker 1: They have over 650,000 happy customers. Hello. And there's a
- 56:50Speaker 1: 90 day money back guarantee. So for a limited time,
- 56:54Speaker 1: GU is having a crazy deal for our listeners. Their
- 56:57Speaker 1: glow up bundle is already up to 45% off right now,
- 57:01Speaker 1: but our listeners can get it for an additional 20%
- 57:04Speaker 1: off plus free shipping. Insert our code. pink shade at

- 57:13Speaker 1: and use code pink shade for an additional 20% off.
- 57:17Speaker 1: And after you purchase, they'll ask where you heard about them.
- 57:19Speaker 1: Please support our show and tell them we sent you
- 57:22Speaker 1: the talking head. Julia says it is encouraging to see
- 57:26Speaker 1: somebody who was incarcerated and overcame their struggles. Cause I'm
- 57:29Speaker 1: really hoping I can do that.
- 57:31Speaker 2: Um, well, you know, like a bit to like Dermablend and,
- 57:36Speaker 2: Get the little stuff off your face first.
- 57:39Speaker 1: Because you're not going to get a.
- 57:41Speaker 2: Job at Wells Fargo.
- 57:42Speaker 1: What we need to do is we need to check
- 57:47Speaker 1: his and Brittany's Instagram, like their numbers, and see if
- 57:53Speaker 1: they have enough followers to get a brand deal with
- 57:55Speaker 1: the tattoo removal.
- 57:56Speaker 2: Because he needs it immediately. Because they're just so bad.
- 58:01Speaker 1: Imagine if he got all those tattoos off his face,
- 58:03Speaker 1: like he could still have the neck ones and stuff.
- 58:05Speaker 1: But if he got all those tattoos off his face,
- 58:07Speaker 1: imagine like he could probably get a job at Starbucks
- 58:11Speaker 1: or something, you know?
- 58:13Speaker 2: I just, I, and you shouldn't judge someone based off
- 58:18Speaker 2: of their tattoos, which I don't. But when you get
- 58:21Speaker 2: to the face, a little bit of judgmentalness comes out
- 58:23Speaker 2: of me. I agree. Why would you do that? Like, why?
- 58:26Speaker 2: A neck I can do, but a face? Yes.
- 58:29Speaker 1: And a neck I've, I've softened on over the years
- 58:32Speaker 1: because it's very common. You still hate it. I still,
- 58:36Speaker 1: I still hate it. The worst offender of a neck
- 58:38Speaker 1: tattoo ever on the history of time is Johnny of
- 58:41Speaker 1: Johnny and Chloe from 90 day. The other way he
- 58:44Speaker 1: had a huge Eagle across the front of his neck.
- 58:47Speaker 1: And it's just so you're looking at, I mean, it's
- 58:50Speaker 1: like this Eagles talking on the road.
- 58:51Speaker 2: That was a choice.
- 58:55Speaker 1: Um, When I'm out of town, you're going to be
- 58:57Speaker 1: covering 90 Day Hunt for Love and Chloe's on there
- 59:00Speaker 1: and she used to date Johnny. So when they show
- 59:02Speaker 1: the clip, she'll know who he is.
- 59:03Speaker 2: I'll see it. Okay. I fly like an eagle.
- 59:07Speaker 1: God bless. So he's a pirate. So.
- 59:10Speaker 2: They, Oh, I know what you're talking about. Yeah.
- 59:14Speaker 1: So they tell them you need to wear your trauma.
- 59:18Speaker 1: So they wrap all their bands around them and, you know, symbolically. So,
- 59:23Speaker 1: I wouldn't have wrapped it around my legs and tried
- 59:25Speaker 1: to walk out.
- 59:26Speaker 2: I don't know why they did that.
- 59:27Speaker 1: I was like, put them on your arms.
- 59:29Speaker 2: You literally put them on your arms, but they all
- 59:32Speaker 2: put them on. I don't know. They had to like
- 59:34Speaker 2: hop out of the, wherever they were.
- 59:36Speaker 1: No, I'm not exercising. So, um, all the non felons
- 59:41Speaker 1: now go to the yurt and he tells the non felons,
- 59:46Speaker 1: you know, Kimberly, Alexis, to pick their bands. So first
- 59:50Speaker 1: we start with Alexis who already looks like she's going
- 59:52Speaker 1: to cry and And she says she was bullied a
- 59:56Speaker 1: lot growing up. And they said, what was it about?
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: She says, well, it was racial stuff and weight stuff.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: Like they said, I'm too dark or I'm too big
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: or I'm fat. Like they called me an Oreo because
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: I was dark on the outside. But like I was
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: white on the inside because I acted very proper.
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: Guess who's heard that all their life? You. Oh, God. Yeah.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: Really?
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, and so I wanted to say it when
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: we were talking last week, but you just never know
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: how people will react. And sometimes you guys don't react
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: well to some of the things that we say every
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: now and then. You're like, oh, that's me. The listeners,
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: you mean? Yeah, but when you posted that reel from
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: when we were talking about Alexis and Julius, a lot
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: of people in the comments said what I wanted to say.
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: But I was kind of fearful to say it because
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: I didn't want to get attacked. But I'll go ahead
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: and say it now. A lot with Alexis and Julius
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: has to do with just colorism. And when it comes
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: right down to it, this is exactly how I feel.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: I feel like what she said, she was teased because
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: she's dark. She was teased because she's bigger. And in
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: her head... She's like, here's this guy who's good looking,
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: but not just good looking. Here's this guy who's light skin,
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: who's got pretty eyes. This makes me look better. And
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: oh my God, if I have a baby with this guy,
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: this baby's going to come out looking like everything that
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: I wanted to be as a kid. Which the baby did.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: She came out light skin. I think colorism plays such
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: a huge role in this relationship for her. I don't
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: think he gives a fuck. But for her, this is
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: not this is as good as I'm going to get.
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: I'm never going to get another guy like this. So
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: I'm going to take whatever he gives me. And I
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: got to say, he is I mean, she's gained weight.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: She she looks lost. Yeah. I mean, it is taking
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: a toll on her. Yeah. And then she's a new
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: mom as well. You know, and I can't even imagine
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: the shit that he says to her at home. I
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: just she's.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: When we met her before he was out, when we
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: just met her, and she was doing her, you know,
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: nursing assistant job working on her nursing degree, to me,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: I always was like, she seemed so cute and bubbly
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: and so happy and such a caregiver, you know, because
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: she had all these old lady patients and stuff. And
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: to see that she seemed so down and sad. And
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: if she's gaining weight, it's probably because she had a baby.
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: Baby, this is not healthy. You know, this is not
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: motivating her to get back on her grind.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: Cause this made me so sad.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: Lost weight. Yeah. When we met her, she said, I
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: lost weight. You know, this is the best that I've
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: ever looked. And he's just, this is not good for her,
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: but I, I don't think that she will ever let
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: him go. He will have to actually, he's going to
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: have five other kids on her. Yeah.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: Yeah. Like, um, like, um, uh, Bonita, uh, And... Moo
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: Moo now.
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: Moo Moo.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: Moo Moo. Yeah, like, Moo Moo had, like, three other kids.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: And then one with her. And she stuck around with him.
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: Yeah. And we were like, what does she see in this?
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: I mean, he looks five... He look as small as Kimberly.
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: Him and Kimberly are the same height.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: Because, I mean, Bonita is... smart and hilarious and beautiful
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: and a catch so what does she see in that
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: guy right.
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: It has it is the self-esteem and i think some
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: of it just comes from bonita is a bigger girl
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: so she may have got teased because she was a
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: bigger girl it's just all of it is from a
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: fucked up childhood stuff and it's sad it really is sad.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: We all need dr ish we do so um so
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: okay most i know Listen, what I'm going to do
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: is I'm going to give you the WeTV person's information
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: because I want you to talk to Dr. Ish separately.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: Oh, I would love to do that.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: Okay, relax. Because I'd love for you to talk to
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: him about this colorism thing because I can't speak to it.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: Do you know what I mean?
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: I mean, he watched the reel and he was kind
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: of like clapping hands because we all know as black
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: people or people of color, we know what an important role.
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: And it's just not with black people. it's people of color.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: The closer you are to whiteness, it's considered better. It
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: just is. It just always has been. So yeah, it's a,
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: it's a, with this couple is huge and it's sad.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: And it's so interesting to me because when I'm watching them,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: I'm seeing all the other things that we're talking about,
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: about how she obviously feels bad about herself and she
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: thinks this is a good looking guy. But in my mind,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: it was never, ever about black or light. I was like,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: It just really didn't occur to me. You know what
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: I mean? That just shows that it would be an
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: interesting conversation for you to have with Dr.
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: Ish.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: So back to her saying Oreo, which was how we
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: got on this conversation, which I think is fascinating that
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: you're saying that people called you that. I'm like, what?
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: It was bad. It was very bad. I mean, the
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: black girls tried to cut my hair. They plotted to
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: kill me. All kinds of stuff. Yeah. Yeah. And I
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: dress well. And I mean, I've always been cute.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: Of course.
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: Yeah. I had a tough time. Bully was bad.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: I don't know who they're messing with. So she says,
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: they called me an Oreo. And Dr. Ish goes, but,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: you know, because she's too dark and she was fat.
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: And Dr. Ish says, but did you believe that? And
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: she says, yeah. I wore all black to hide myself.
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: I faded into the background. I wanted no attention. I
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: was a doormat. I'd never stick up for myself. And
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: I've confided in Julius about these things that happened to
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: me when I was younger. And when he's trying to
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: insult me, he throws it back at my face.
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: Because he's so immature that he doesn't get that, like, okay,
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: this is a trigger for her. I could say a
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: lot of things, but I shouldn't say these things. Well,
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: he doesn't fucking know. His funeral just closed and it
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: closed while he was in fucking prison. Yes. Right.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: So then we see Yusuf talking to the felons because
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: they've now switched places. And he says, you know, it's
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: easy to see your partner and their faults, but it's
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: also important to see your own. He said, each felon,
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: each one of you have unique trauma related to your
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: incarceration and But everybody's walking around you with their own
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: bands that don't have anything to do with that. And
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: so it kind of gives them, you know, I mean,
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: I think the bands were a good metaphor. And it's
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: good to like pull the bands and what you wear.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: It's a very good metaphor. And we've never seen anything
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: like so interesting and deep on this show ever. So
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: thank the Lord. And so Yusuf leaves and thanks them.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: I hope we see him again. Now we're back with Dr.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: Ish and Kimberly.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: Kimberly.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: And she goes, this is going to be hard. And
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: she's pulled a bunch. Now, I was not expecting this.
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: I thought she was going to go into, you know,
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: men have hurt her. And so that's why she keeps
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: getting married or whatever. But she goes right into it.
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: Right into it.
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: Trigger warning for everybody here with Kimberly. She says, I was,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: she says the word, graped at 14 years old. A
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: friend's older brother grabbed me in the middle of the
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: night and told me if I told that he would
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: tell everybody I initiated it. So she never told anybody.
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: Until right now. Was she just supposed to? I don't
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: think she'd ever told anyone. She said she hadn't.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: She didn't tell at the time. But I don't know.
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: I mean, who knows? It doesn't matter. She didn't tell
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: at the time.
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: So she says, what happened to me as a kid
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: took away my choices. And there's a lot of time
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: with Joey. He makes choices and does not acknowledge what
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: I might want. And I don't know if she's talking
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: about loading the dishwasher or being a meth head. But
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: I think.
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: Both could be true. Right.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: You know what I mean? I was like, choices what?
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: Like he's going to choose to go use? Or are
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: you talking about like he chooses to not mow the grass?
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. So.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: That was terrible. I was so sorry to hear that. Melissa.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: So Melissa, interestingly, says a lot of my, because we
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: know she's grown up nice and had a nice life.
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: And she says, but we've seen her sisters and we've seen,
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: her dad and stuff. But she says, a lot of
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: my issues are with housing. It is because with one
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: of my exes, I talk about the princess in the
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: fairy tale. I thought I had that with him and
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: moved me and my daughter into a beautiful home. But
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: he got mad at me because I went to my
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: sister's wedding And when my daughter and I came back
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: from the wedding, the doors were locked. That was it.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: I never saw that house again. So, like, that meant
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: all their stuff, everything in that house. And he locked it.
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: That's horrible. And she couldn't get it out.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: And that had to fuck her up. Just like, I
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: can't even trust to live with someone.
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: Because I can't take care of my kid now. Like,
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: I have to buy all new. They were homeless.
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: Homeless. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: So she said, I had to stay at my father's
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: until I had made enough money to get an apartment.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: So never again will I allow myself to be in
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: my position. And I think that's why I work so much.
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: Because we know she's got the full-time job at the
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: postal service and she works at a bar.
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: This was sad. And I'm sure people are like, well,
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: this isn't traumatic. But that is very traumatic. You go
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: home and you are locked out of your home.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: And she probably didn't have your things. she didn't have
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: the resources to get a lawyer to like make them
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: open the doors. And probably if she got the police,
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: they were like, you don't own this house.
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: Yeah. That's horrible.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: She says, that's why I work so much because I
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: can't trust it'll never happen again. And in the talking head,
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: she goes, and this is why the reason I hold
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: on so tight to my things. Like it's, I won't
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: share my bank accounts and this is my apartment because
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: And this is the reason I throw it in his
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: face sometimes because it's my past trauma. Like, these are
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: my things. And Dr. Ish says, so we need to
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: rewrite some narratives, like, around money and stuff. And she goes,
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: I don't know if I'm capable of that. And he goes,
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: but do you think Louie is worth it? And she says, yes.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: And he says, but do you think you're worth it?
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: And she's like, I don't know.
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: Dr. Ish is on it, man. Yes.
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: So Marcelino says, I'm in an awkward position here listening
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: to all these women. These men have done these terrible
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: things to them. Well, Marcelino, you cheated on your wife.
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: You did a lot. Yeah.
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: He goes, but I have found myself being in a
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: situation of being abused as a child and in my
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: marriage and didn't deserve it. And they don't go into
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: this much. And I think it's because we already went
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: into it in the session with them alone.
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: So we move on to Justine. And so she pulls
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: up domestic violence. Now we know, we have known from
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: seeing her on the other show that she was, I
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: think it's the father of two of her sons. The
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: first two.
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: The younger two. Yeah. The younger. She got the Kylie
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: is the oldest. Right.
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: And then she went with the two sons.
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: Okay. Right.
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: So she says, I was with a man. that beat
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: me consistently for 12 years. So she tells the story
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: about the first time he ever hit her. And then she,
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: I mean, she goes into detail. He threw CDs at
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: her face and then dragged her on the ground, banged
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: her head on the sidewalk, continued to beat her up
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: in the house. And she ran out of the house
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: for help. The first neighbor wouldn't help her, but the
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: second neighbor did help her. And eventually she went back
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: home and got in the bed and, and she's like,
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: you know, it was hot where we live, but I had,
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: you know, a hoodie over my face. And somebody had
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: called her mom, I guess the neighbor, to come and
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: get her. And she said she opened the door to
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: her mom and she remembers how her mother looked at her.
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: And she says, and not only did I have to
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: see myself like that, but my mother had to see
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: me like that. And then she went back.
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: So this explains a little, this gives more background to
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: the relationship between her and Sherry.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: Because Sherry's like, now you've moved your three children to
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: another state to be with a prisoner.
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: And then, yeah. So this makes a lot more sense
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: on why. Because we couldn't understand why Sherry was so
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: tough on her. Yeah.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: And then you're going to have kids and now you're
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: stupid because you're having another kid.
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: Yeah. We get it.
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: We get it.
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: I mean, Sherry could be bitchy, but.
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: Horrible.
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: We get it.
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: We get it.
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: And she says, you know, my family hated him more
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: than they cared about me. And I was completely alone.
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: So I think once she went back that maybe the
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: family didn't talk to her for those 12 years.
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: Well, we know that Sherry has helped her out a
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: lot financially.
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: But I think that was after she left that guy.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: It sounds like because she says she was like they
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: hated him more than they cared about her. And she
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: was completely alone.
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: This was not an episode that we got to make
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: fun of a lot.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: Not a light episode. But again, I mean, it was heavy.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: So she cries and saying, I hate him. You know,
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: of course she does. So I hope I would love to.
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: I mean, and I don't know. And maybe I can
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: ask when I talk to them. Like, I don't know
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: where that man is. If he has any input in
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: his children's lives. If he's in prison.
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: I don't know. Yeah.
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: I put a piece of shit. So next time on,
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: we see Melissa saying, when are you going to update
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: the promise ring to the real ring? And then we
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: see Brittany crying and saying to Marcelina, please do not
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: ruin my son. And he goes, that's enough. And she's like,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: what's enough? You know, I think she's just like, I
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: brought him here. I know we're never going to fix it,
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: but I've got to get to the bottom of this
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: geo situation.
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: Justine says to Michael, you come at me like an inmate.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: And if you think I'm about to be on the floor,
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: I'm not about to be on the floor. And he's like,
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: fuck you. Fuck you, Justine. And we see him like
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: grabbing his suitcase and we don't know if he leaves.
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: I'm assuming not.
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: Your husband's saying, fuck you. Oh, it's bad.
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: He was like, fuck you. You hear me?
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: I mean, I think I, again, this is Michael. It's
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: so interesting. He is seems like, So, like, I love
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: my wife and so soft about her. And I think
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: he does. And I think he does. And he's so
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: soft and supportive. But I think when he gets mad,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: he goes back to inmate mode.
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: Quickly.
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: Quickly. And I think he has had to be tough
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: for the way he grew up.
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: It's awful.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: So, Dr. Ish is sitting with Joey in a drug test.
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: If you don't think I zoomed in so hard on
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: that drug test to see what I could read it.
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: But I don't know why you did it because we
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: all know it's positive. I think everything that they tested
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: for is positive.
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: I know, but I wanted to see what were the
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: things on that test. Was it fentanyl, cocaine? Because, listen,
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: you could get anything at the CVS. And he says
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: to Joey, what did you do? And Joey says, I
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: snorted it. And we see Kimberly go, I want to
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: hurt him. And then Joey is yelling, maybe I should
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: have hid it from you. Call me a fucking Uber.
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: So again, I don't know if this is them just
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: messing with us for previews. I haven't watched the next one.
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: But we do see, we have seen a clip of Dr.
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: Ish taking him into a bathroom. And we do see
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: this test on the thing that looks like a lot
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: of lines on it, which usually means it's positive for something. Now, this,
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: I snorted it. It could have been him talking about
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: something from four years ago. Like I, you know, either way,
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: not a funny episode. Um, but important in this instance,
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: like I've, I'm learning a lot from you, you know,
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: talking about this colorism thing, because I think their situation
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: is bad enough without having to add that into it.
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: You know, I think it has a lot to do
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: with her insecurity. I really do.
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: Again, and all those comments being mean under that last
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: reel that we posted on Instagram, I was trying to
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: respond to everyone saying, we want better for her. We
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: want better for her, for Alexis. She deserves a man
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: that is going to love her for who she is.
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: And she is smart. And she needs somebody that's going
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: to love her for her and not this guy.
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: You got to love yourself first.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: That's a good point.
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: God bless.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: Okay, well, that was fun. So, everybody, make sure you're
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: following us on social media, please. This Pink Shade Pod
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: and the Libra Lounge with Keisha. I probably won't put
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: up on a reel from this episode because it wasn't funny.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: And next week, I am going to interview Dr. Ish
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: and Justine and Michael together. I don't know when exactly
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: that's going to come out. It might come out the
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: next Monday, like as a co-mingled with this episode next Monday. So,
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: Everybody be on the lookout for that. And as you know,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: TLC Tuesdays, I'm doing with Kimberly. And when I'm out
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: of town in Italy in a few weeks, Kimberly and
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: Keisha are doing full monkey takeover. They're going to be
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: doing all the episodes for me while I'm gone together.
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: So when they meet in person this weekend at LibreFest,
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: let the magic begin. You have to squash the beef
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: is what I'm saying.
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: Yeah, the beef is so major.
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: Kimberly's always trying to pretend like she's got a fight
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: with Keisha so that it can go viral.
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: As soon as we see each other on a live,
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: it's like a love fest.
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: Yeah, it is. Oh, you look so pretty. You know?
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Yes. Yes. We fangirl out over each other.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: And so if you guys want to get all of the,
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: you know, the lowdown on what happens at Libra Fest
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: this weekend, join Pink Shade Prime. The link is in
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: the show notes. I'll be putting that up sometime this week,
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: telling all about what happened. The three of us will
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: get together and we'll recap and we'll kiki and we'll
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: talk about all the fun things that went down. And
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: we'll give you some scoop. And it's an inside gossip.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: I'm sure we'll find out lots of stuff. And I
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: can't wait. And again, the takeaway is I got to
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: see Billie Eilish's mom. So bring it all back. Bring
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: it all back to Billie Eilish.
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: Back to Billie Eilish. Yes.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: Everybody go listen to Wildflower. What a great song.
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: Love you guys. See you later this week. Bye.
