- 0:16exactly that. Right. It's all part of their effort
- 0:19to uphold the highest standards of service reliability
- 0:22and efficiency, while also, and this is key,
- 0:26enhancing customer safety and preparedness during
- 0:29these... changing weather conditions. So the
- 0:33whole goal is to prevent issues from like water
- 0:36seeping into electrical wiring or panels. Right.
- 0:39And their number one recommendation is to be
- 0:42proactive, not reactive. And that starts with
- 0:45professional help. Exactly. DUA really highlighted
- 0:48the importance of hiring certified electrical
- 0:51technicians, you know, to carry out regular maintenance
- 0:54and those preventative inspections. Wow. And
- 0:57they'll make sure all the external connections
- 0:59are properly insulated. And they also provide
- 1:01a really clear checklist for residents. Oh, nice.
- 1:04Yeah. Their recommendations include things like...
- 1:06tightly sealing electrical panels, replacing
- 1:09any broken meter glass, and closing any openings
- 1:13in rooftop electrical conduits to stop water
- 1:16getting in, and inspecting your earthing cables,
- 1:19all to ensure a safe, continuous power supply.
- 1:22Okay, but what if the power cuts out anyway?
- 1:25Discard all that. Yeah. Diwa actually has a really
- 1:27smart solution for this. They're urging customers
- 1:30to use their smart response service. It's on
- 1:32the Diwa smart app or their website. And that
- 1:35helps you identify the cause of any outage. Wow.
- 1:38So this tool basically tells you the next step.
- 1:41So if the issue is internal, you should get in
- 1:43touch with your buildings maintenance or an authorized
- 1:47technician to fix the fault. Right. But... If
- 1:51the problem is external, something on DEWA's
- 1:54network, then you call the emergency number 911.
- 1:57It's such a clear, simple system. Yeah. And for
- 2:00more tips, they say everyone should follow their
- 2:02official social media accounts. Good idea. And
- 2:04all the full details are at dewa .gov .ae slash
