[SPEAKER_02]: Shit 90's Show's Dot Me Shit 90's Show's Dot Me was not filmed before live studio audience
1:30
[SPEAKER_01]: are you ready to play another day?
1:33
[SPEAKER_01]: So are we?
1:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome back to shit 90 shows taught me.
1:37
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just darling here with my co-host Sarah Humphrey.
1:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Sarah, how are you?
1:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Jess, I think that will put that forget spell on me, which was just forget in case you forgot because I am so happy to be back about to cover season seven of Buffy the stink of season six
1:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I said, I have forgotten about all this for given.
2:00
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean not quite, but all this for given.
2:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I, I moved past, you know, onward enough word as they say.
2:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I, I didn't forget the stank of season six, but I was pleasantly surprised by the season seven premiere.
2:16
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot I think to be excited about in this premiere.
2:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I
2:21
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't see the season I think so far is off to a little bit of a bang.
2:26
[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like not like a bang bang, but like we're laying the groundwork.
2:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, famously, for us anyway, we have not enjoyed Buffy premieres.
2:36
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel as though more often than not, we are complaining about the Buffy premieres.
2:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and then we, I remember this happened at least more than once.
2:46
[SPEAKER_00]: We were like, well, we don't really like Buffy premieres.
2:49
[SPEAKER_00]: It's usually the finale's that are really good.
2:51
[SPEAKER_00]: So like, we'll give it its.
2:53
[SPEAKER_00]: space.
2:54
[SPEAKER_00]: But I didn't feel that way this time.
2:55
[SPEAKER_00]: I, I genuinely was excited.
2:58
[SPEAKER_00]: I, I felt when you often say with premieres of like the excitement, it felt like the first day of school.
3:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Probably because it was the first day of school.
3:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it felt like the first day of school.
3:10
[SPEAKER_00]: There was cute outfits to be seen.
3:13
[SPEAKER_00]: There was good one of the ourgile.
3:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Good.
3:16
[SPEAKER_01]: The archive is a moment in the early odds there.
3:18
[SPEAKER_01]: We all wore our guide.
3:19
[SPEAKER_00]: We all had our guide things.
3:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, our guide everywhere.
3:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
3:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, yeah.
3:25
[SPEAKER_00]: It was really exciting.
3:26
[SPEAKER_00]: The hair was hairing.
3:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and I was.
3:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't tell you.
3:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, no, I said, I have thoughts on that.
3:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
3:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we'll get there when we get there.
3:35
[SPEAKER_00]: But.
3:36
[SPEAKER_00]: I was really happy and I thought the storyline was really intriguing.
3:41
[SPEAKER_00]: I like that we're back in school.
3:42
[SPEAKER_00]: They've kind of felt like a little bit of a refresh.
3:47
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm curious if you are feeling this excitement that I'm feeling.
3:52
[SPEAKER_00]: I am.
3:52
[SPEAKER_01]: I hear is what I feel like, because we talked about last season at non-fium.
3:58
[SPEAKER_01]: The vibe was very different.
3:59
[SPEAKER_01]: It was darker.
4:00
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like, I mean, we haven't been in high school in a minute, right?
4:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Like that.
4:04
[SPEAKER_01]: We've been in college and then all this other stuff.
4:06
[SPEAKER_01]: But it really felt like the show had like moved on from the high schoolness of the show, if you will.
4:13
[SPEAKER_01]: And I really like that the show was, to me at least, it felt like the show was like, okay, we're pumping the brakes.
4:18
[SPEAKER_01]: We're so sorry about season six, like listen guys.
4:22
[SPEAKER_01]: We done fucked up.
4:24
[SPEAKER_01]: We're going back to high school.
4:26
[SPEAKER_01]: We're bringing it back to the Hellmouth.
4:28
[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to say Hellmouth about 70 times in the episode.
4:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Don't worry.
4:32
[SPEAKER_01]: It's all good.
4:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Like we know our roots as established by.
4:37
[SPEAKER_01]: probably my favorite thing from the premiere which was this morphing monster thing that turns into like every villain we've had throughout the season.
4:46
[SPEAKER_01]: So it really felt like the show was like making a promise to us of like we remember what we were and we're so sorry for what we did at least that's how I'm trying to take it because they should be sorry about what they did in season six.
5:03
[SPEAKER_01]: And so I really did enjoy that aspect.
5:06
[SPEAKER_01]: I like that right up front.
5:07
[SPEAKER_01]: We're getting like a possible villain in like the principle.
5:12
[SPEAKER_01]: I like that we found a way to easily have Buffy constantly being at the school beyond because she is Dawn's, you know, what's it called?
5:23
[SPEAKER_01]: caregiver.
5:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
5:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
5:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Supervisor, supervisor, supervisor, supervisor, supervisor, supervisor.
5:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Supervisor, supervisor.
5:33
[SPEAKER_01]: Guardian, that was the word.
5:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Guardian, supervisor.
5:38
[SPEAKER_01]: But I do like that we established away for her to constantly be at the school.
5:43
[SPEAKER_01]: I liked a lot of what we had going on.
5:46
[SPEAKER_01]: But can I tell you,
5:53
[SPEAKER_01]: What?
5:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Giles on a fucking horse.
5:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my gosh.
5:57
[SPEAKER_01]: So majestic.
5:59
[SPEAKER_01]: I died.
6:00
[SPEAKER_01]: When that was like our opening shot is fucking Giles on a fucking horse.
6:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, come on now.
6:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
6:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Come on now.
6:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Be ready, romance novel fantasy.
6:12
[SPEAKER_01]: He's so fabulous.
6:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Like he's just like the wind in his hair and the nice hills of England.
6:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
6:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we're just beautiful.
6:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's pretty iconic.
6:23
[SPEAKER_00]: We did get something before that though.
6:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Didn't we do have a flashback where.
6:30
[SPEAKER_00]: or something in the very, very beginning.
6:33
[SPEAKER_00]: What's the same?
6:33
[SPEAKER_01]: How to previously on?
6:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you're right.
6:36
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry.
6:36
[SPEAKER_01]: We opened the episode actually, you know what?
6:40
[SPEAKER_01]: There was a few things before this.
6:41
[SPEAKER_01]: In my mind, it opened with the horse.
6:43
[SPEAKER_01]: But there were a few things.
6:44
[SPEAKER_01]: There was like the spike in Istanbul, like, oh, he's a hero now, saving this lady.
6:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever.
6:52
[SPEAKER_01]: And then there also was like Buffy and Dawn in the cemetery.
6:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.
6:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yes.
6:59
[SPEAKER_00]: I, man, if they opened up with Buffy and Donna in this cemetery, I would have gotten so many flowers because I was like, I can see it opening, yeah, you know, I thought I was going to be them too fighting.
7:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I don't even remember spiking in Istanbul.
7:16
[SPEAKER_00]: I just remember cobblestone, honestly.
7:19
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the only thing I remember cobblestone is if it looks like it's a flashback, uh, then I ignore
7:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think your brain just goes somewhere else.
7:30
[SPEAKER_01]: I think you just dissociate during those scenes.
7:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it reminded me very much of like angels, flashbacks, where an Ireland, exactly.
7:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Where I'm like, I don't need to pay attention.
7:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you're glad you didn't do that when Giles was on a horse in England.
7:43
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I think I missed that.
7:45
[SPEAKER_00]: That's not a flashback.
7:46
[SPEAKER_00]: That's a watch now.
7:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I actually do want to start on the Giles and Willow storyline just because it is like, it's pretty small, right?
7:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, they're first of all.
7:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Anthony Stewart had me he rest in peace is only listed as a guest star we saw this coming Sarah like we thought he probably is going to be a full blown cast member so it's not a surprise I still a little bit of a disappointment however
8:12
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm happy that when he is in the show at the very least he's getting he's like intimate scenes where it's like just him and Willow.
8:19
[SPEAKER_01]: He's kind of imparting wisdom on her.
8:22
[SPEAKER_01]: He's almost like building her back up after what happened at the end of season six, which I really enjoyed.
8:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
8:30
[SPEAKER_00]: We'll look at it to the coven, which I'm excited about because when I heard about the coven, I was like, tell me more about the coven.
8:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I just want to see the coven.
8:39
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm glad that she's part of the coven.
8:42
[SPEAKER_00]: She's practicing solo magic about rising, making flowers bloom.
8:47
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, that aren't like local flowers, I guess.
8:50
[SPEAKER_00]: They're not like, they're not like, they're not bad, but whatever, because I'm pretty sure they're an invasive species.
8:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, girl, you don't
8:58
[SPEAKER_00]: And we know Willow, if anything, she would be like, oh, I just want to make this Daisy appear.
9:03
[SPEAKER_00]: And then she would get the invasive species that would kill the entire ego system.
9:10
[SPEAKER_00]: And then she would be like, oh, I hate me too.
9:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Up sees.
9:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
9:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
9:16
[SPEAKER_01]: But you like that we're getting her in the coffin.
9:18
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm with you.
9:20
[SPEAKER_01]: I will be really upset if we don't meet the coffin.
9:23
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
9:23
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to be honest.
9:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I just want, I want to know about the cup and I want to say I'm using black magic.
9:31
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I think they're good.
9:32
[SPEAKER_01]: They're like druids.
9:33
[SPEAKER_01]: They're like druids based on what she's saying because she's like everything is, it's very hippy.
9:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Like everything is connected.
9:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Everything has a soul.
9:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Like it is, but in my head, any cup and it's always performing black magic, you know?
9:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, yeah, yeah, I know.
9:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's like she's in a going.
9:49
[SPEAKER_00]: She went to the commune, you know.
9:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, she did go to the calm.
9:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
9:54
[SPEAKER_00]: That's for she to, to try to decompress from her magic addiction.
10:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and then she had like this weird moment, which I was a later on in the episode where she,
10:07
[SPEAKER_00]: woke up from some sort of vision or dream or episode.
10:11
[SPEAKER_00]: And she's just like the darkness that's coming that's going to eat us all.
10:16
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's just like I guess like the hell mouth is really hell mouth thing.
10:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Which yeah, she says the hell mouth is going to open and swallow us all.
10:23
[SPEAKER_01]: So she can tell you.
10:25
[SPEAKER_01]: like she can feel it, just like in a scene we'll talk about later with Hal Frick.
10:28
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like certain people can kind of sense that there's like dark shit happening, uh, Benny Sunnydale and Willow.
10:36
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, she's obviously connected to it, even beyond the fact that it's the Earth and everything's connected.
10:42
[SPEAKER_01]: Like she literally is from there.
10:43
[SPEAKER_01]: So she probably feels
10:55
[SPEAKER_00]: dude season one baby.
10:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah, it's like a connection.
10:59
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like it's it's very much like full circle a lot of things in the in the premiere, but also once again, I was like,
11:10
[SPEAKER_00]: just we're going to have to close the hell mouth another prediction that I made.
11:15
[SPEAKER_00]: I would wish if it's true.
11:16
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I'm giving and give myself some, like, quite a little bit early.
11:19
[SPEAKER_00]: But I think it makes sense for the hell mouth to be the big mad.
11:22
[SPEAKER_00]: We have to close the hell mouth.
11:23
[SPEAKER_00]: It's, and that's enough.
11:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody daily needs to be free of this ailment that's just being at for all this time.
11:32
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah.
11:33
[SPEAKER_01]: it seems as though that is what we're doing.
11:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I really appreciate among the how I felt like this premiere was an apology letter to me personally about season six.
11:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I have very much appreciated that in when Jiles and Willow are discussing Willow's powers and kind of her relationship with magic.
11:53
[SPEAKER_01]: We're really like backing off of the like magic is an addiction.
11:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, she says like, oh, it's like a part of her.
12:00
[SPEAKER_01]: It's no longer a hobby or an addiction.
12:02
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just like a part of her essence, whatever.
12:05
[SPEAKER_01]: You say whatever the fuck you got to say to make it so magic isn't an addiction on the show anymore.
12:10
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'll buy into it because I was so sick and tired of that story line.
12:13
[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I'm on board.
12:14
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm all in, you know, it will allow one.
12:18
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so juiced a season.
12:20
[SPEAKER_01]: This is fair.
12:21
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm okay.
12:22
[SPEAKER_01]: That is true.
12:23
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna put an endendom and endendom being that while I don't want magic as drugs I will allow at least one.
12:30
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so juiced willowow Or an I'm jacked in.
12:34
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm jacked in.
12:35
[SPEAKER_01]: That is also allowed.
12:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think I think that I don't think it's possible to be jacked in anymore
12:42
[SPEAKER_00]: I really don't.
12:43
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that we have passed at this point.
12:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Not that much willow and not that much zander for this episode and not much onya and not much trials.
12:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, truly, it was the Buffy and Dawn Show.
12:58
[SPEAKER_00]: But that's a spike.
12:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
13:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, there was not that much spike.
13:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Let me just go through every single character and say, we did not get much of
13:11
[SPEAKER_00]: double negatives instead of being like we mostly got Dawn and Buffy this.
13:17
[SPEAKER_01]: We got none of these other people and what you're right you're actually very right and I I didn't necessarily mind it like because I felt like for the most part the way they utilize the characters felt
13:33
[SPEAKER_01]: true like felt real.
13:34
[SPEAKER_01]: I liked that we got the continuation of like Xander still working in construction and he is attached to the plot line because he was able to get the blueprint for the new high school to be able to see that like this makes no fucking sense by the way.
13:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Like in any architecture situation for the principal's office to be where the library was like that's in the fucking center of the school like
13:56
[SPEAKER_01]: The principal's office is near the entrance, but okay, I did appreciate that he was involved in that way.
14:02
[SPEAKER_01]: He also will talk about later is the one who like Buffy calls for help in terms of like breaking a talisman and all of that stuff.
14:09
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, I thought that they were utilized in a way that made sense at least.
14:15
[SPEAKER_00]: right yeah yeah and it wasn't obviously it wasn't like the focal point of right this episode it's and I'm glad because it's about time we got Dawn to do her thing she'd been wanting to fight letter freaking fight come on yeah and yeah I like the standard scenes I think it's always funny how he's always carpooling
14:37
[SPEAKER_00]: or bringing Buffy and Dawn everywhere.
14:40
[SPEAKER_00]: It just reminds me that I still don't think Buffy can drive.
14:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Even though I saw her drive when she's a virgin who can't drive.
14:48
[SPEAKER_00]: She just can't drive.
14:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that she drove like once.
14:51
[SPEAKER_00]: She probably has her license, but she definitely does not.
14:54
[SPEAKER_00]: How does she get to work?
14:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Does she get to work?
14:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Does she get to work?
14:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Does she get to work?
14:57
[SPEAKER_01]: say because having the crash to kill a few cars at this point now because when she originally gave dawn like that little box I was like oh is it like keys to a car?
15:07
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm pretty sure it was that phone that you need later.
15:11
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
15:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Flip phone oh I'm so stupid.
15:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that right?
15:15
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
15:16
[SPEAKER_00]: This is my assumption.
15:17
[SPEAKER_00]: You're right.
15:18
[SPEAKER_00]: It has to be the flip phone.
15:19
[SPEAKER_00]: She's like can you believe the service I have down here?
15:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
15:23
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, she said it's a weapon and true words have never been said for a teenage girl.
15:27
[SPEAKER_00]: The phone is a weapon.
15:29
[SPEAKER_00]: This is so true.
15:30
[SPEAKER_00]: It's so true.
15:31
[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, you're right.
15:32
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know that Buffy has a car.
15:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe she does like a maybe they drive like a tandem bike or something like that's ridiculous, but I can see sure.
15:42
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll give it to you.
15:43
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, to be fair, Buffy runs so fast.
15:46
[SPEAKER_01]: She doesn't only need a car.
15:47
[SPEAKER_00]: She runs.
15:49
[SPEAKER_00]: or something.
15:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, no, she's a silly dust exactly.
15:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, nothing.
15:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, sorry.
15:56
[SPEAKER_00]: You know what it was?
15:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, when she went by feet gave Dawn the box, I thought at first, I'm like, is that Mr. Spiky or Mr. Sharpie?
16:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Should
16:17
[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
16:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Everyone's yelling at us right now.
16:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Steve, the steak.
16:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Two misters.
16:28
[SPEAKER_00]: And what's been years since we covered that episode.
16:33
[SPEAKER_01]: We fair to all of us.
16:35
[SPEAKER_01]: And all of us, I mean, you and me.
16:37
[SPEAKER_01]: No, Mr. No, Mr. What if it's sticky, though?
16:40
[SPEAKER_01]: What if it is Mr. sticky?
16:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Sharpie?
16:42
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I already said that.
16:44
[SPEAKER_01]: That's a marker.
16:45
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think I could copy where it's sticky.
16:47
[SPEAKER_01]: It's sticky.
16:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Just so stupid.
16:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Mr. Pointy.
16:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Mr. Pointy.
16:53
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a pointy.
16:54
[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
16:56
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like Mr. Sticky better.
16:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, um, yeah, I agree.
17:00
[SPEAKER_01]: I first thought was obviously a car my second thought even though Dawn definitely is an old enough drive if she's just going into high school, right?
17:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, um, my other thought was like a pocket knife or something.
17:12
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean, like a tiny weapon?
17:14
[SPEAKER_00]: No, like you go away with that school, but you're so right.
17:17
[SPEAKER_00]: It's the cell phone.
17:18
[SPEAKER_00]: And like it's so like I said before, so true.
17:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like your biggest weapon is the cell phone in high school.
17:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and I allow to complain that I thought Don was 16 and when you're 16, you are like at least in 10th grade.
17:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, maybe.
17:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe, okay, maybe they did it this way, right?
17:43
[SPEAKER_01]: Because Dawn would have already been in high school.
17:45
[SPEAKER_01]: However, they were reopening sunny Dale High.
17:49
[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe she was just in a different high school.
17:52
[SPEAKER_01]: And she's transferring back to sunny Dale.
17:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I thought they were insinuating that this, like, she was a freshman in college.
17:59
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought she was a freshman in high school.
18:01
[SPEAKER_00]: But,
18:01
[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't track, but I also think that they kind of just like laudy dot it.
18:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe she missed so much school from like all this other chicaneery that like she got help back.
18:12
[SPEAKER_00]: That would be so embarrassing.
18:14
[SPEAKER_00]: I got summer school once and I was shook and straight.
18:19
[SPEAKER_00]: And not summer school because I wanted to be there, summer school because I was a fucking idiot.
18:24
[SPEAKER_01]: I was just, I like did get that someone who would want to mean something.
18:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, there are people that want to be in summer school.
18:32
[SPEAKER_00]: OK, I'm glad.
18:33
[SPEAKER_00]: But then they took like wood shop, you know, in summer school.
18:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, my brother did summer school once.
18:40
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't remember what the subject I feel like a Spanish, but I don't remember for sure.
18:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Mine was English because honestly,
18:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Jessica it was just because I didn't do my homework and I didn't read the books and I well then there you go that's why I didn't write the papers and I didn't take the tests you did nothing I said just what I'm hearing basically you basically didn't attend class at all I didn't attend class and that's the crazy thing I was at every single class I didn't skip a class you didn't even like do like the cliff notes thing like you didn't even like fudge it
19:16
[SPEAKER_00]: I just got like that purple note that blue note book that you get to write the essay I remember the smiley face in it I wonder if kids you still kids use the little blue books.
19:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Do they still have those?
19:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean the alternative is that I guess everybody gets like an iPad or like a little Chromebook these days.
19:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, cuz
19:35
[SPEAKER_01]: My fucking hand would fall off if someone was like right me and S.A. in this blue book.
19:38
[SPEAKER_01]: I'd be like, go fuck yourself.
19:40
[SPEAKER_01]: I can't do that.
19:41
[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, no, no.
19:43
[SPEAKER_00]: When was the last time you read, like you wrote something down?
19:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I mean today.
19:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I write things down a lot, but I don't write essays down a lot.
19:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I write tiny little notes on a tiny little note pad.
19:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, it's cute, it's cute and it's pink.
19:58
[SPEAKER_00]: it sounds like you're not journaling.
20:01
[SPEAKER_00]: I journaled for a little bit.
20:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Do not journal.
20:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Generally speaking, I've tried.
20:08
[SPEAKER_01]: I have tried.
20:10
[SPEAKER_01]: I had one of those.
20:12
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't remember what they're called.
20:15
[SPEAKER_01]: The diaries that were like locked and you had to like speak a password into it.
20:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
20:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yes.
20:21
[SPEAKER_01]: I had one of those.
20:23
[SPEAKER_01]: passport journal, I forgot they were called never wrote in it like I've tried to journal so many times and it's just not I don't I don't think I'm that interesting Like dear diary my brother is so annoying.
20:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't sleep
20:39
[SPEAKER_00]: And he did not let you watch and play video games today.
20:43
[SPEAKER_00]: And then I terrorized the entire house.
20:46
[SPEAKER_00]: And then I just wrapped it up.
20:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think it was a combination of one.
20:51
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not very introspective.
20:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Two, nothing bad really happened to me specifically when I was younger.
20:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Besides the normal kids stuff.
20:58
[SPEAKER_01]: And like three, I'm very external.
21:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Like if I think it, I say it.
21:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you know, there's not much,
21:08
[SPEAKER_00]: My diary entries were essentially angel mobs.
21:15
[SPEAKER_00]: They were like, my days are so dark.
21:18
[SPEAKER_00]: There's no point to exist.
21:23
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm here.
21:23
[SPEAKER_01]: I am thinking it's like Alyssa is such a fuggly slut.
21:28
[SPEAKER_00]: No.
21:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe there was like a dash of that, but it's just like, what is my purpose on earth?
21:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing.
21:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Everything is meaningless.
21:37
[SPEAKER_00]: So emo.
21:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
21:39
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, yes.
21:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
21:41
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I don't think this is a surprise to literally anybody that I was not like an emo kid.
21:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Like there was not.
21:48
[SPEAKER_01]: There was not a lot happening that like you didn't know about to your face.
21:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, yeah, I was I deserve going to be such an emotional child, probably probably not.
21:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe, I don't know.
22:01
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I should, should it happen?
22:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but there was like a dash of that.
22:08
[SPEAKER_00]: I think like I read one of my diary entries where I was just like ranking my friends,
22:16
[SPEAKER_00]: That is burn bookish, that's burn bookish, but also very me to be like, so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and-so-and
22:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
22:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
22:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Boom.
22:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
22:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Rose did.
22:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Rose did.
22:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
22:42
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway.
22:42
[SPEAKER_01]: I want to talk about Halford and Ania, because Ania seems to not have any friends anymore.
22:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
22:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Just like me and high school and why I had to be so depressed in it.
22:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
22:54
[SPEAKER_01]: I was very happy to have Halford return and basically be like, girl, you've lost your edge.
23:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you need to get your shit together.
23:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, because.
23:04
[SPEAKER_01]: you are not actually doing vengeance correctly anymore.
23:08
[SPEAKER_01]: The Hoffman has noticed I've noticed.
23:10
[SPEAKER_01]: And on yet it's like this sounds like an intervention if it's an intervention on my friends be here and how frequent the sickest fucking burn of all times says they are.
23:19
[SPEAKER_01]: And for a hot minute Sarah it took the
23:21
[SPEAKER_01]: This was a thinker for me.
23:23
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you're looking around the back.
23:24
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm thinking they're in disguise.
23:26
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, oh my fucking god they're in disguise.
23:28
[SPEAKER_01]: And then like two seconds later, I was like, wait a minute.
23:30
[SPEAKER_01]: I had another friend.
23:31
[SPEAKER_00]: You were like trying to spot people that we, you were like, you're like, you're a club.
23:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Where is it?
23:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Really, I was like, where are these people in disguise?
23:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, we don't know how far it looks human.
23:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, other people going to look human too.
23:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but I'm really sad that Agna still has kind of lost her edge.
23:50
[SPEAKER_01]: especially because there we didn't see her with and this was her only scene.
23:54
[SPEAKER_01]: She had one scene this entire episode.
23:56
[SPEAKER_01]: So we don't know what is her relationship like with the scoobies.
24:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Like what you know what I mean?
24:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Like where does she stand in all of that?
24:03
[SPEAKER_01]: We have no idea.
24:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Not good, not good.
24:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure.
24:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean maybe it is because she did help save the day maybe.
24:11
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that Ania will be fine.
24:13
[SPEAKER_00]: I did like the oneness scene.
24:14
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was really funny.
24:15
[SPEAKER_00]: She was supposed to turn into somebody into a frog and she just turned them French and so fun.
24:21
[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, it's kind of evil.
24:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they were smelly and they had like a creepy mustache or something, what I think that's really, really.
24:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't very, I thought that was a funny line, but I'm sure we'll get more.
24:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Once again, this was not the oneness show.
24:36
[SPEAKER_00]: It was about Don and it was about Buffy.
24:39
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's okay.
24:40
[SPEAKER_01]: because I just mostly wanted to know where on your stands and everything.
24:45
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, like, I have assumed based on this one scene we did get that she is doing vengeance as like her job now, because we saw like the magic box got totally fucking destroyed last season.
24:58
[SPEAKER_01]: So is this what she's doing now, you know?
25:01
[SPEAKER_00]: She's living off her investments.
25:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Her stocks and bonds.
25:04
[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.
25:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, curly pop does not have to worry about her money.
25:11
[SPEAKER_00]: She's got to share that about her.
25:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well, she's smart.
25:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
25:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
25:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, let's switch to talking a little book.
25:22
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll get to spike at the end because that's kind of when he comes into play anyway.
25:26
[SPEAKER_01]: But let's talk about Buffy and Dawn and like the seemingly change in their dynamic a bit where Buffy, the first scene we see of them together is Buffy training Dawn on like how to kill a vampire, who has the power, he has the power, she even is like, you wanna bite some mango by her and like points it Dawn.
25:47
[SPEAKER_01]: I am so happy with this little scene.
25:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's about time.
25:52
[SPEAKER_00]: We've been waiting for this.
25:53
[SPEAKER_00]: I wish that I saw it a little bit farther along in their dynamic progression.
26:00
[SPEAKER_00]: For example, I wish that I saw a little less backseat passenger.
26:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, passenger, passenger driving, backseat driver, whatever.
26:13
[SPEAKER_00]: I wish I saw like a little bit more of them fighting together, but we have to earn it, right?
26:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Like we have to, we'll get it eventually.
26:20
[SPEAKER_00]: I just want it now.
26:21
[SPEAKER_00]: I want it now.
26:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I want that little bitch with the egg and Willy Wonka.
26:26
[SPEAKER_00]: I want it now, and I have to wait.
26:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I have to wait, that's why I have to do.
26:31
[SPEAKER_00]: But I enjoyed it a lot.
26:32
[SPEAKER_00]: I liked the vampire.
26:34
[SPEAKER_00]: They were like waiting on a baby vampire to come out.
26:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I came again out.
26:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm stuck.
26:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
26:40
[SPEAKER_01]: He got stuck.
26:40
[SPEAKER_01]: It was very, I can't put my arms down from a Christmas story where he's just like he's Ralphie.
26:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Is it Ralphie?
26:48
[SPEAKER_01]: No, Ralphie is the...
26:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Ralphie's the older brother.
26:51
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what the younger brother's name is.
26:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Up with that kid, which one?
26:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Back kid.
26:58
[SPEAKER_01]: He got stuck to the pole.
27:01
[SPEAKER_01]: You're talking about two different kids.
27:03
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay.
27:04
[SPEAKER_01]: So in a Christmas story, Ralphie is like the main kid who shoots his eye out.
27:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Randy is this younger brother who has the snow suit on and can't put his arms down because it's like so tight, he has so many layers on it, it's so tight.
27:19
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's flick and he's the one who sticks his tongue to the pole and gets it stuck.
27:25
[SPEAKER_01]: I never seen this movie.
27:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Have you never visited TBS on Christmas Eve?
27:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Because it plays for 24 hours stream.
27:36
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm too busy watching the homer channel.
27:40
[SPEAKER_01]: This is crazy talk, this, this, there's so many references in pop culture to this movie, like, fuh, oh, fuh, like, fragile, like, oh, it's a major award, like none of this is, oh my God.
27:53
[SPEAKER_00]: You need to watch this movie, it's so, it's so classic, it's a classic.
27:58
[SPEAKER_00]: cannot tell you how busy I am during the holiday season.
28:01
[SPEAKER_00]: I am so busy watching my shitty little Christmas movies.
28:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have time to watch the classics.
28:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
28:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I tried people.
28:14
[SPEAKER_00]: I have one passion in life and it's so shitty little.
28:19
[SPEAKER_00]: movies.
28:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Do love the Christmas ghost one.
28:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
28:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, a hot Christmas ghost.
28:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
28:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Hot Christmas ghost.
28:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
28:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, jeez.
28:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but anyway, you say, he can't put his arms down.
28:31
[SPEAKER_01]: He can't get out of the grave.
28:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, Buffy does end up having to help out.
28:35
[SPEAKER_01]: But I do love Dawn doing the little like summer salty move situation.
28:39
[SPEAKER_01]: That was great.
28:41
[SPEAKER_01]: She's learning.
28:42
[SPEAKER_01]: And I did love that Buffy.
28:43
[SPEAKER_01]: Also admitted, I missed my
28:47
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry, but these people she needs to take a biology class or anatomy class or whatever the heck, you know, good, um, good sisterly bones.
28:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I like I'd like this a lot.
28:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, Buffy's hair looked good in this scene in my opinion.
28:59
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought that it looked really, really good.
29:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, it looked the the blonde look great.
29:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought that the length looked great.
29:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, dawn's hair this season.
29:09
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, especially in the the scene where she are dialed scene.
29:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, amazing phenomenal hair.
29:16
[SPEAKER_00]: So sleek, and then it had the rap at the bottom.
29:20
[SPEAKER_00]: We love a little whoop at the bottom.
29:22
[SPEAKER_00]: It was the luminous and straight and shiny.
29:27
[SPEAKER_00]: It was beautiful, the most beautiful here.
29:29
[SPEAKER_00]: She would have been that girl.
29:30
[SPEAKER_00]: If she didn't like,
29:32
[SPEAKER_00]: be if she wasn't like such a weirdo that first day of school.
29:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, she would have ruled that school and if like make friends with like the outcast losers, she would have ruled that school.
29:43
[SPEAKER_01]: I am this is what I love because I'm on board with you for this and I I feel like
29:50
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not super dissimilar to Buffy's journey, where Buffy could have been the cool kid, but she comes in as kind of a weirdo.
29:58
[SPEAKER_01]: She's a slayer, no one knows it, blah, blah, blah.
30:01
[SPEAKER_01]: And she chooses to be friends with the weirdos, Willow and Zander.
30:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Dawn is following in big sis' footsteps, because she chooses the goth version of Willow, whose name is Kit, because I wrote it down, and the Italian smoker version of Zander.
30:20
[SPEAKER_01]: his name is Carlos.
30:22
[SPEAKER_01]: I believe he was Hispanic, but he was giving like super Mario, like he was like with his outfit.
30:29
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
30:30
[SPEAKER_01]: It's fine.
30:31
[SPEAKER_01]: But he's a smoker.
30:32
[SPEAKER_01]: He's name is Carlos.
30:34
[SPEAKER_00]: He's way too erased the only ethnic person of color on this show.
30:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Principal, what's his face?
30:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, of course.
30:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Dr. Joe was here from parenthood, right?
30:50
[SPEAKER_00]: That was what he was saying.
30:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the funny thing was that we asked the same exact question to our friend group about this was, because we were both like, who is his man?
31:01
[SPEAKER_00]: I know him, like, have we seen him in the show before?
31:05
[SPEAKER_00]: And Todd answered us both separately.
31:09
[SPEAKER_00]: for my parenthood, like that's how you knew him.
31:13
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, oh, it is, Dr. Joe.
31:16
[SPEAKER_01]: And you'll recently rewatched parenthood, too.
31:19
[SPEAKER_00]: I love parenthood.
31:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
31:21
[SPEAKER_00]: It's my comfort show.
31:23
[SPEAKER_00]: And I've been trying to chase that parenthood high for the last four months.
31:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
31:27
[SPEAKER_00]: I tried to tell you to watch the exception, but, you know.
31:30
[SPEAKER_01]: maybe in 10 years.
31:32
[SPEAKER_00]: It's too soon.
31:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
31:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah.
31:36
[SPEAKER_01]: So basically, uh, Buffy is like nervous is all get out.
31:41
[SPEAKER_01]: That Dawn is back on Sunnydale property, back near the Hellmouth.
31:46
[SPEAKER_01]: She's like some shit's going to be going down.
31:48
[SPEAKER_01]: She talks to the principal.
31:50
[SPEAKER_01]: She's like trying to get Dawn expelled, which is a choice.
31:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, she goes into the bathroom.
31:56
[SPEAKER_01]: sees this little piece of wood which ends up being a talisman and suddenly they're fucking ghosts and zombies and shit and then they poof out of existence and so she tries to go like make sure dawn's okay and bearish his dawn in front of the entire class which ends up honestly being fine because dawn and bearish has herself too he's so it's kind of just like a one to punch you know she's ruining her social
32:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
32:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, yes, what Buffy did isn't bears in because she doesn't she come in and she says something like, oh, I want to make sure she wasn't smoking I don't know.
32:34
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
32:35
[SPEAKER_00]: She like is like, don't know.
32:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
32:37
[SPEAKER_00]: And don't like, uh, yeah.
32:39
[SPEAKER_00]: And then I don't know.
32:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, just like so embarrassing and then Dawn sees like some guy asks for pencil and Dawn gets out her trap her keeper and her little like pencil holder within the trap her keeper and standing him a pencil and then he's like, I'm going to pencil you and then he turns into his zombie and tries to pencil her and then she screams she's on the floor and then everybody's looking at her like she's crazy and she's like, oh, it's a B. I'm like, definitely allergic.
33:11
[SPEAKER_00]: And then the worst excuse wasn't the worst excuse I've ever heard but then everybody in the class is like I guess the apple doesn't fall like far the tree because you know like
33:24
[SPEAKER_01]: because everyone in this school has older siblings who went to school with Buffy and so then like word trickles down gossip spreads of like Buffy was such a fucking weirdo like watch out for her weirdo sister like it's so especially in small towns news like that just like spreads like wildfire so yeah like pretty much immediately dawn is an outcast well hold up
33:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Would Buffy actually be the weirdo sister if everybody knew the entire high school fought with Buffy and she was seen as a heroine unless everybody forgot which did happen a lot in seasons like one and two.
34:03
[SPEAKER_00]: We're like they would experience these crazy things that happened in the school like the hyenas like the bug teacher.
34:16
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that, like, Buffy would be like the cool, like, hero because she saved the universe.
34:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, but because I agree with you, but what if we look at it this way where, like, to older, right, if all these kids have like older siblings and their older siblings, like, oh, yeah, Buffy's pretty cool and then they're experienced with Buffy as her running into the room, being like, oh, I don't know.
34:38
[SPEAKER_01]: They're like, oh, my older sibling is like,
34:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Also, I'm sure a large percentage of the older siblings died in that fight.
34:49
[SPEAKER_01]: So, oh, and they probably blame buffing.
34:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like the ghost Talisman people were.
34:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we're like, where were you when that where we'll try to eat me or whatever the hell you did this to us.
35:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and so All right, so Buffy is like trying to check on Don then meanwhile Don ends up going to the bathroom here's Kit crying and like it seems like Kit has also seen these ghosts I don't know why certain people didn't certain people didn't but that's never really explained We just know what has to do with the talisman in the bathroom.
35:22
[SPEAKER_00]: It's supernatural.
35:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, okay You have to actually maybe you had to touch the talisman
35:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, because it was in the bathroom, that's a good point.
35:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I had to touch it.
35:32
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure because I don't know if I saw a Don touch the talisman, but that's my only, I know he's a buffy touch.
35:38
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's a good theory on why, but she's like trying to connect with K and being like, did you see something?
35:44
[SPEAKER_01]: I saw something and suddenly the entire fucking floor of the bathroom just was like, poof gone and we end up in the basement, which has no student service supposed to be allowed down there.
35:55
[SPEAKER_01]: and built the school.
35:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Is this the ender's fault, let the florist collab?
35:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's construction company built it you think?
36:02
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, but if you did GM on the scene, not good, the ender, you about to be sued.
36:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Not a good look.
36:09
[SPEAKER_00]: There's a giant hole in the bathroom.
36:12
[SPEAKER_00]: That's terrible.
36:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so they're the one like succinct hole.
36:15
[SPEAKER_00]: The basement's a little creepy.
36:16
[SPEAKER_00]: It sounds like nobody cleaned up the basement after the great fire disaster.
36:22
[SPEAKER_01]: They were just like boarded it up and pretended it didn't exist anymore.
36:27
[SPEAKER_01]: That's where they bump into Carlos who's like I came down here to smoke and it's like
36:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Of all the places, like you came down to the basement and now you're an American Carlos, spot a being kind of boom.
36:40
[SPEAKER_00]: They can't hear it.
36:42
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a me.
36:42
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a me.
36:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Loads.
36:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Carlos, pardon me guys.
36:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Great.
36:47
[SPEAKER_00]: That's exactly it.
36:49
[SPEAKER_00]: That's exactly it.
36:51
[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.
36:53
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not telling you, you're just dressed like Mario, that's all I could think of.
36:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, our list is last name and buffy, if it's something like D. It's Trejo, it's Trejo.
37:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Carl was like, oh my god, and stuffy's like, I love your Italian accent.
37:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Can you make me some pasta?
37:20
[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to be eating these words with next episode.
37:28
[SPEAKER_01]: He's talks about Gobble Goole and all this stuff.
37:39
[SPEAKER_01]: He looks like Mario to me.
37:41
[SPEAKER_01]: What are you saying, anyway?
37:46
[SPEAKER_01]: They bump into Carlos.
37:47
[SPEAKER_01]: So now it was like, so I'm like, okay, here we go, new Scoobies, new Scoobies are like young Scoobies.
37:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Baby Scoobies.
37:54
[SPEAKER_01]: And Dawn calls Buffy from the basement and he's like, oh my god, I have great, great, great, great reception down here.
38:00
[SPEAKER_01]: And Buffy, meanwhile, was talking to the principal.
38:02
[SPEAKER_01]: And she makes it sound like her fucking dogs died, which is like so dark.
38:07
[SPEAKER_01]: And she,
38:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah, she's just like, oh, it's a dog emergency and then three and then the Mr.
38:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Principal is like, there's a big three dog dog emergency.
38:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like all your dogs died.
38:20
[SPEAKER_01]: How many dogs do you have?
38:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Really?
38:22
[SPEAKER_01]: I have tastes.
38:25
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like a lot of dogs.
38:32
[SPEAKER_00]: And then Carlos is like,
38:41
[SPEAKER_01]: got to exactly.
38:45
[SPEAKER_01]: So, Buffy goes down into the basement, of course she bumps into like all these like, again, spirits, whatever the hell they are.
38:51
[SPEAKER_01]: We're mad because, but it is, I don't know if we were supposed to know these people.
38:59
[SPEAKER_00]: I did it.
39:00
[SPEAKER_00]: I did not know either, but it made me feel like I should have.
39:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
39:06
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like, don't you fucking know us?
39:07
[SPEAKER_01]: And they were making me feel bad because I didn't fucking know them, but you know, what page if you're from season one ain't away.
39:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Do you okay?
39:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Any of your high school janitors?
39:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, not high school, no.
39:24
[SPEAKER_01]: There was a guy who used to be my bus driver named Larry, and then he was a janitor like later on.
39:31
[SPEAKER_01]: So I remember him.
39:32
[SPEAKER_01]: I loved him.
39:32
[SPEAKER_01]: It was Larry.
39:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, there were many other stuff.
39:36
[SPEAKER_00]: They were just like this really old crotchity janitor who was always grumpy, but like became like the mascot of our school, essentially, and all I remember is at one point in time, people were making like a fundraiser for him, and they made shirts with his picture on it.
39:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I said.
39:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if he was sick or just poor.
39:58
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not quite sure, I'm like in a race.
40:01
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't remember why people didn't, my teenagers were raising money for this crotch, the old janer.
40:08
[SPEAKER_00]: It was like, his name was like grumpy Joe or something.
40:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Grumpy Joe.
40:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Like there's like classic.
40:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Bremby Joe shares with his like a drawing of him like holding a mob.
40:24
[SPEAKER_00]: But like once again, why is like 17-year-olds raising money for Bremby Joe?
40:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Because the school system is fucking broken and people don't get pay enough money.
40:33
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't get paid a level of wage.
40:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
40:37
[SPEAKER_00]: if any of my friends remember this job and why we were raising money.
40:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, please keep me informed.
40:43
[SPEAKER_00]: I would love to know what ever happened.
40:44
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it was just four.
40:46
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, now he's fried dead.
40:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
40:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, he was really old.
40:51
[SPEAKER_00]: He shouldn't have been working.
40:52
[SPEAKER_00]: We're probably saving for his retire.
40:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, so he's the tire man.
40:55
[SPEAKER_01]: You weren't that's what it was.
40:56
[SPEAKER_01]: People were trying to raise money so he could fucking leave the, you know, mop behind and settle down and come up down.
41:05
[SPEAKER_01]: from porcrompy joe.
41:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, I don't even know how to get back to this.
41:11
[SPEAKER_01]: So, uh, right.
41:12
[SPEAKER_01]: So, Buffy is fighting these like spirits or whatever the fuck, right?
41:17
[SPEAKER_01]: She opens a door.
41:18
[SPEAKER_01]: They're the fuckest spike.
41:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Who has dark roots?
41:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, that's the first thing I noticed.
41:23
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, whoa, I loved that ramen as Justin Timberlake here that he's got going on.
41:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was long.
41:30
[SPEAKER_00]: I long.
41:31
[SPEAKER_00]: It's, yeah.
41:33
[SPEAKER_00]: It looked good.
41:33
[SPEAKER_00]: I liked the fruits.
41:34
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was like the best here.
41:35
[SPEAKER_00]: He's had in a while, honestly.
41:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he uh, it was weird.
41:42
[SPEAKER_01]: He was like acting strangely.
41:43
[SPEAKER_01]: He tells Buffy to duck.
41:44
[SPEAKER_01]: She doesn't.
41:45
[SPEAKER_01]: He's like talking to himself.
41:46
[SPEAKER_01]: He's laughing to himself.
41:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, very strange stuff.
41:51
[SPEAKER_01]: He starts yelling not at Buffy, but at
41:55
[SPEAKER_01]: you know, what we find out probably later is like whatever the manifestation is of this monster.
42:00
[SPEAKER_01]: He says, don't you think of drying?
42:01
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not fast.
42:02
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not a quick study.
42:04
[SPEAKER_01]: I dropped my board in the water and all the chalk ran.
42:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Sure to be canned.
42:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Should have seen that coming.
42:12
[SPEAKER_01]: It's so gibberish.
42:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, what does this mean?
42:14
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not paying attention to him.
42:16
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, it was just like when Grumpy Joe, the janitor.
42:22
[SPEAKER_00]: We'd go on and on, oh my mom, I love to hear, and all those kids took my mom, little cool against, like, Grumpy Joe, the janitor, you know, settled down over there, so be happy, and go up and go on.
42:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
42:40
[SPEAKER_00]: It was a bunch of nonsense.
42:41
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that blurb was more nonsense than the end blurb.
42:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of was understanding what he was saying later on.
42:48
[SPEAKER_00]: I have no idea what Spike was saying.
42:50
[SPEAKER_00]: What is he doing here?
42:52
[SPEAKER_00]: He's saying that this is my home now.
42:54
[SPEAKER_00]: How did you get there?
42:57
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't understand.
42:59
[SPEAKER_01]: From, okay.
43:00
[SPEAKER_01]: based on what he was saying later or the whatever this monster was saying later, I feel like he is fighting whatever monster has a grip on him and trying to tell Buffy that like
43:17
[SPEAKER_01]: He has a soul now, but these monsters are like trying to take over, right?
43:23
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, Buffy is very confused about like, what's by doing here?
43:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Why is he here?
43:28
[SPEAKER_01]: She sees he has like scratches over where his heart is, like he tried to cut it out of himself.
43:34
[SPEAKER_01]: What the fuck?
43:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Like she's like I have to deal with something like he ends up telling her the like the solution, which is that it was a talisman that raised all the spirits who just need to break it so she gets in to break it for them as they're like fighting all these
43:59
[SPEAKER_00]: It almost is like, okay, so he has his soul now, is all of the feels coming.
44:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Is he suffering from big feels?
44:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's what I'm wondering is, I don't know how long it's been.
44:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, right, wait, I don't think we are given any indication of how much time has passed because we know
44:20
[SPEAKER_01]: based on like what happened with angel that going from no soul to having a soul, like you're you're realizing everything you've done.
44:30
[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think that kind of sent him off the deep end, but then my question is like, how much of his erratic behavior is attributed to that?
44:41
[SPEAKER_01]: And how much is attributed to the fact that he has this like,
44:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Ghosty monster being a bit of a demon like being a bit of an asshole to him.
44:51
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
44:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah
44:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Are you getting information on the grumpy Joe?
44:57
[SPEAKER_00]: You're like, you always know me so well when because your face doesn't hide anything.
45:03
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, with it, I have no idea.
45:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, okay, so his name wasn't grumpy Joe.
45:10
[SPEAKER_00]: It was, no, I'm sad.
45:11
[SPEAKER_00]: It was Wild's Bill, the janitor.
45:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I'm not sad anymore, because that's better.
45:16
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll Bill, good old Wild Bill.
45:21
[SPEAKER_00]: So we definitely talking about it on the pod.
45:27
[SPEAKER_00]: There was shirts, I bet.
45:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, Wild Bill.
45:31
[SPEAKER_00]: There was shirts.
45:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I remember they were neat.
45:32
[SPEAKER_00]: They were neat.
45:33
[SPEAKER_00]: He was trying to retire.
45:34
[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't remember the raising of the money.
45:39
[SPEAKER_00]: But wild.
45:41
[SPEAKER_00]: She does remember his name was Wild Bill.
45:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Good for him.
45:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Wild Bill.
45:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Wild that wild guy.
45:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, he was old and he was grouchy and he was crotchity.
45:56
[SPEAKER_00]: There you go.
45:57
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess he was a little too wild.
46:00
[SPEAKER_01]: He said, you should have seen me in my youth.
46:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
46:03
[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
46:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
46:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway.
46:06
[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah.
46:06
[SPEAKER_01]: So I have no fucking clue what's going on with spike.
46:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I feel like it's a combination of both things, of both him trying to reconcile.
46:18
[SPEAKER_01]: everything he's done, and then also whatever is coming through the Hellmouth is like working through him probably because they're like
46:31
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, he can get close to her without her suspecting because he was an asshole before.
46:37
[SPEAKER_01]: So we can make him be an asshole again, yeah, he had a whole speech prepared and he says, like, oh, she won't understand, she won't understand, and then we get probably like one of my favorite scenes of the episode besides Giles writing a horse.
46:55
[SPEAKER_01]: And we start off with like, we see, we see who spikes talking to, and it's Warren.
47:01
[SPEAKER_01]: And he says, and I was like, oh, and he's smart.
47:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Because we literally have this conversation on the last podcast about like, why don't they bring villains back?
47:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, why don't they continue this story?
47:12
[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, we're doing this with Warren.
47:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, he says, of course, you want to understand Sparky.
47:18
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm beyond her understanding.
47:20
[SPEAKER_01]: She's a girl, sugar and spice and everything useless unless you're baking.
47:25
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm more than that, more than flesh.
47:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Then he turns into glory and I celebrated.
47:32
[SPEAKER_01]: And she says, more than blood, I'm, you know, I honestly don't think there's a human word fabulous enough for me.
47:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my name will be on everyone's lips, assuming their lips have been torn off, but not just yet, that's alright though.
47:45
[SPEAKER_01]: And then it turns into Adam and I was like, oh, okay.
47:49
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big, it's a big
48:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, and he says, so what did you think you'd get your soul back at everything and be gym Dandy, souls, slippery or then a greased weasel, why do you think I sold mine in the last?
48:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you probably thought that you'd be your own man, and I respect that.
48:23
[SPEAKER_01]: But then it turns into droolulu.
48:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm, also terrible red and black tips.
48:29
[SPEAKER_01]: I love her nails.
48:31
[SPEAKER_01]: She has the terrible nails.
48:33
[SPEAKER_01]: She touches like space and she says you never will.
48:35
[SPEAKER_01]: You'll always be mine.
48:36
[SPEAKER_01]: You'll always be in the dark with me singing our little songs.
48:39
[SPEAKER_01]: You like our little songs.
48:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Don't you?
48:41
[SPEAKER_01]: You've always liked them right from the beginning and that's where we're going.
48:45
[SPEAKER_01]: And then and then.
48:48
[SPEAKER_01]: as I predicted, and our season six brought up.
48:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you did, ma'am.
48:52
[SPEAKER_01]: There is our guy, our number one, Daddy VAMS, making an appearance, and he says right back to the beginning, not the being, not the word, the true beginning.
49:05
[SPEAKER_01]: The next few months are going to be quite a ride, and I think we're all going to learn something about ourselves in the process.
49:12
[SPEAKER_01]: You'll learn you're a pathetic schmuck.
49:15
[SPEAKER_01]: If it hasn't sunk in already, look at you, trying to do what's right, just like her.
49:20
[SPEAKER_01]: You still don't get it.
49:21
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not about right, not about wrong.
49:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Then it turns in a buffy and says, it's about power.
49:30
[SPEAKER_01]: This was so fascinating.
49:31
[SPEAKER_01]: It was fun.
49:33
[SPEAKER_01]: I loved the callbacks.
49:34
[SPEAKER_01]: I loved getting these characters back.
49:37
[SPEAKER_01]: But even more interesting to me,
49:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Is the fact that whatever this monastery manifestation is speaks in all these villains voices like knows the history right like like a like glory saying like oh there's not a human word fabulous enough for me like the mayor referencing that he sold his soul like you know what I mean I drew the referencing spike in her's history that was so interesting because it almost feels like
50:07
[SPEAKER_01]: It's reading spikes memories or something, you know what I mean?
50:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Like it has access to the past.
50:14
[SPEAKER_00]: I...
50:15
[SPEAKER_00]: have a different, I mean, I mean, it's the same.
50:20
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that this is a person or figure.
50:23
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that this is the how mouth manifested.
50:26
[SPEAKER_00]: I am very much.
50:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's like the how mouth as like an entity.
50:32
[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, the home mouth is going to know its own history, because it was there.
50:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so it is the evil that attracts all this.
50:43
[SPEAKER_00]: So I love that.
50:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that I'm just like so set on the I just like it's not going we're not going to see.
50:53
[SPEAKER_01]: a monster because it is like all monsters it's how are we going to see it in its physical form are we going to like pan through different villains throughout the season or was this just like a one time cameo from these people.
51:08
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I mean, I'm guessing it's a one time cameo unless we get a similar sort of flash.
51:17
[SPEAKER_00]: like, Buffy will experience it as well.
51:19
[SPEAKER_00]: I went piece of crazy when we saw that.
51:21
[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't know how you destroyed the hell, Mel, obviously.
51:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, if I knew, then I would do it, of course.
51:32
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's just like, how do you close in the hell, Mel?
51:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, how do you stop that connection between
51:41
[SPEAKER_00]: the other dimension and the same universe.
51:47
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
51:47
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not my business.
51:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, thank God.
51:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not the slayer.
51:50
[SPEAKER_00]: That seems like a big responsibility.
51:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I like this point and I think it opens the door to your point if it doesn't, if we don't get like a concrete physical form of this monster, it really opens the door for them to do some wacky shit.
52:23
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, like, and is by the only one who can see it as the other thing, right?
52:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Because we hear him talking to him about these in the room.
52:31
[SPEAKER_01]: She doesn't seem to see anything else.
52:33
[SPEAKER_01]: So it opens, it definitely opens a lot of questions that the big thing obviously being.
52:41
[SPEAKER_01]: very much ties spike directly to the center of the plot.
52:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Like he is going to need to be involved.
52:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said my piece about what happened last season, and I feel like the show really just wants us to forget it.
52:58
[SPEAKER_01]: Like the show really is just like he's good now.
53:02
[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know if that's going to work for me.
53:05
[SPEAKER_01]: However,
53:06
[SPEAKER_01]: If there's any chance of it working for me, it is in the way they've established so far with bringing in these past villains and like, really going all out for a final season.
53:16
[SPEAKER_01]: I felt like momentous to me.
53:17
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
53:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, the fact that they got all these people back was so thrilling and just like so exciting to me, especially like daddy vamps is back like that's crazy.
53:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
53:30
[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see I'm a little dubious on like how exactly
53:36
[SPEAKER_01]: work with spike in everything.
53:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, they're really wanting to talk on our heartstrings with how like sad he is now, um, I don't know.
53:46
[SPEAKER_00]: I, I, I, I feel like everybody, um,
53:52
[SPEAKER_00]: like knows how we feel about spike.
53:54
[SPEAKER_00]: And I like it's hard to be like, I feel, I want to be like, it's, it's, it's known and spoken about like we don't have to say every single episode that we podcast, we're mad at spike, spikes, socks, it's disgusting.
54:07
[SPEAKER_01]: I just know we're always mad at him.
54:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, and it's not because it's not deserving to say every single time every single episode that we're mad at him and it's disgusting when you did.
54:16
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just like, good no, like you've been no.
54:18
[SPEAKER_00]: So like we need to,
54:21
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, yeah, and I focus on what's ahead of us.
54:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
54:24
[SPEAKER_00]: So I just feel like we're mad spike.
54:27
[SPEAKER_00]: He sucks.
54:27
[SPEAKER_00]: He's disgusting.
54:28
[SPEAKER_00]: It's unforgettable.
54:30
[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm sling blame the writers of lessons spike.
54:34
[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't spike.
54:35
[SPEAKER_00]: You got it forgive.
54:36
[SPEAKER_00]: We forgive generally for much for devious deeds.
54:42
[SPEAKER_00]: We did.
54:43
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, also for game Andy for lying about rape.
54:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Remember that?
54:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.
54:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the character assassination that I showed it.
54:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is all true.
54:56
[SPEAKER_00]: We forget Felicity for just sucking absolute ass for six seasons.
55:03
[SPEAKER_00]: for or sees it felt like six.
55:05
[SPEAKER_01]: That's the last season felt like three seasons didn't have it itself.
55:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, this is all true.
55:10
[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, more on more a TBD on what's going to go on the spike, uh, what the heck's happening with him.
55:16
[SPEAKER_01]: I will say I agree with you about the hair.
55:18
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought his hair looked really good.
55:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, um, low ground out looks good.
55:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, but yeah, Buffy and C episode by like the principle is like, who we haven't talked a ton about.
55:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Principal would.
55:29
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what they're.
55:32
[SPEAKER_01]: They very much set him up to be like should we be suspicious of him?
55:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Why is his office over the Hellmouth?
55:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Like he like approaches Buffy and Dawn right away at school.
55:42
[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's it's a little like he's keeping a watchful eye on them.
55:46
[SPEAKER_01]: He knows everything about Buffy.
55:47
[SPEAKER_01]: He talks about how big her freaking like file was.
55:50
[SPEAKER_01]: So I think they're almost setting him up in a way that's a little too obvious for him to be involved.
55:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and he like sexy as hell.
55:58
[SPEAKER_01]: So like please don't let this man be evil.
56:01
[SPEAKER_00]: I think he 1,000 and 10% knows who Buffy is and that she's the slayer in her past, do I think that he's evil, no, because I think it's too obvious, but maybe he's involved in a different way and that like he is there to help like Buffy, but like has to be covert or something.
56:23
[SPEAKER_01]: Who's sending the help.
56:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Giles.
56:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Giles.
56:30
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I don't know British, but he's from the land of far away.
56:34
[SPEAKER_00]: So wait, are you saying that he's like a watcher?
56:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Is that what you're saying?
56:39
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I think he's like an otherworldly sort of a thing.
56:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he's the the the the peasants that be or whatever it is.
56:49
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know something like that.
56:53
[SPEAKER_01]: I think he is maybe he's an angel.
56:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Remember we thought angel was an angel.
56:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he is the angel that we talked about in season one.
57:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so he wants Buffy to be a advisor.
57:04
[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah.
57:06
[SPEAKER_00]: kind of like the Steve Buschemi gift like hey they're co-kids on one of you.
57:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Hello they're fellow kids yeah he's like I don't I can't are for you much money and it's you're not actually a counselor you're basically just like someone who can talk to the children and he's very impressed because apparently kid and Carlos the most Italian guy I've ever seen I have like giant files just like Buffy did and he was like oh my god they're socializing they're going to class like you're so impressive we must hire you now.
57:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
57:36
[SPEAKER_00]: So, um, you like, don't's helping the three of them together going to go to class.
57:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, yeah, Kit gave Buffy a hug.
57:46
[SPEAKER_00]: We, my favorite thing was when Carlos was like, uh,
57:52
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you were a mom.
57:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're the coolest mom ever.
57:56
[SPEAKER_01]: It was the fucking hair, Buffy.
57:58
[SPEAKER_01]: It was the hair.
57:59
[SPEAKER_01]: The hair looked awful, and I hated it.
58:01
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like a French twist, but it's falling out.
58:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Like it looked bad.
58:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it was a bad hairdo, which really sucks because earlier on, it was a good hairdo.
58:12
[SPEAKER_01]: And then she sucked it up for Dawn's first day at school.
58:16
[SPEAKER_01]: But overall, happy with the premiere.
58:19
[SPEAKER_01]: I like the trajectory we're set off on.
58:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see if they can maintain this.
58:24
[SPEAKER_01]: It's goodwill.
58:25
[SPEAKER_01]: But they've built up ever so slightly from the trash garbage that was season six.
58:32
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm excited about all that.
58:33
[SPEAKER_01]: I will say.
58:35
[SPEAKER_01]: a different premiere that I didn't enjoy as much was the angel.
58:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, sees a purpose of one deep down.
58:42
[SPEAKER_01]: Did you watch this episode, Sarah?
58:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, goodness.
58:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I can tell you exactly how many minutes I made into a beautiful.
58:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Please let me know if 15 minutes and
58:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, seconds.
58:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
58:57
[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, for people who didn't watch, we pick up where we left off where Angel has been trapped underwater by his son's own hand.
59:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
59:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Cordelia has been raised to the heavens to be like the powers that be or something.
59:12
[SPEAKER_01]: And so we get to, we spend a lot of this episode in like angels, weird, nightmare dreams situations.
59:19
[SPEAKER_01]: I personally didn't enjoy because every time angel is there hanging out with people, I'm like, obviously this isn't real.
59:25
[SPEAKER_01]: So they pulled it like, one time is fine.
59:27
[SPEAKER_01]: You want to do the Thanksgiving dinner?
59:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Great.
59:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Don't do another one.
59:31
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, yeah, um, Christmas for you.
59:34
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm done with this, uh, friend and gun in the mean time sense, courty and angel have been missing for three months.
59:42
[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, they've been like running the business, taking care of Connor, who's going to go, I Hunter, I think.
59:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, this bitch, you don't deserve a third name.
59:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was going to say, wasn't he Steven?
59:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like we can't let go.
59:57
[SPEAKER_00]: It's only confusing.
59:58
[SPEAKER_01]: Why is he hunter now?
59:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Where would a gardening come from?
1:00:01
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just like in shameless Jimmy's Steve.
1:00:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, he got, he got, but like he got a third name.
1:00:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know where Hunter came from for a second.
1:00:16
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that was like the name that the other guy gave him, and then I was like, wait, I'm in those Stephen.
1:00:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Who the fuck knows?
1:00:20
[SPEAKER_01]: But either way, Fred and God have been taking care of him.
1:00:22
[SPEAKER_01]: He's been trying to cover his tracks, so they don't find out that he's the one who ditched Angel underwater.
1:00:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Meanwhile,
1:00:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Wesley without glasses by the way.
1:00:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, where the fuck are he's glasses?
1:00:35
[SPEAKER_01]: How is he seeing with those glasses?
1:00:37
[SPEAKER_01]: He's still fucking what's her face from the law firm.
1:00:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Lila.
1:00:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Lila.
1:00:42
[SPEAKER_01]: He is also keeping this lady chained up in a closet, not for sexy reasons, but because he's using her to help him locate Angel.
1:00:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, he eventually finds out that Angel's under water.
1:00:55
[SPEAKER_01]: He saves him.
1:00:56
[SPEAKER_01]: He gives Angel as blood because Angel is like, he needs it pure from the source.
1:01:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Because he's so fucking depleted and whatever, um, basically Wesley saves the day kind of because he returns Angel.
1:01:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, this is when Fred and Gun find out that Connor's been lying to them.
1:01:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Angel does a whole daddy speech.
1:01:14
[SPEAKER_01]: I will say when he did say like, daddy's not done yet.
1:01:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you didn't see this the very end.
1:01:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Angels like giving this whole speech to Connor about like, oh, I didn't kill holds.
1:01:26
[SPEAKER_01]: He wanted you to think I did like, he's basically just lecturing him and then Connor tries to leave or do something and Angel like shoves him, which was like, oh, child abuse, um, he's like, deaf.
1:01:37
[SPEAKER_01]: He's not done yet.
1:01:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I was like,
1:01:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, daddy, um, but just for a second on then it passed because it's Angel.
1:01:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, and but yeah Angel basically long story short angels back Lila now runs the law firm because she literally decapitated that other guy that was in charge.
1:02:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Fred is still mad at Wesley because she's like, you don't even care.
1:02:08
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't even care.
1:02:10
[SPEAKER_01]: You just dropped him off and you don't even care to tell us because he knew the whole time that Connor was lying and he didn't tell, Fred ain't gone.
1:02:18
[SPEAKER_01]: She's all pissed off at him.
1:02:20
[SPEAKER_01]: And at the very end because they're like, they think Connor did something to Cordelia because like they know he does in an angel.
1:02:26
[SPEAKER_01]: They're like, where's Cordelia?
1:02:27
[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, I don't know.
1:02:29
[SPEAKER_01]: And we just see her and like this
1:02:32
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, sky, she's an angel, whatever, and she literally because she like has like the white, you know, light around her and she literally just goes, I'm bored and that's how the episode ends.
1:02:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so she's just in floaty land.
1:02:47
[SPEAKER_01]: She's in floaty land.
1:02:48
[SPEAKER_01]: The episode was kind of another thing burger to be honest, like I didn't care about the angel visions.
1:02:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I just like, yeah, I just like pulled up the episode just so that I can see the, yeah, that he's not done yet type of thing.
1:03:08
[SPEAKER_00]: That was a great Connor Steven Harris Harvey.
1:03:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.
1:03:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Is real bad.
1:03:17
[SPEAKER_01]: It's still floppy.
1:03:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Cordelia's hair is still really bad.
1:03:20
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like ever so slightly longer, but still weirdly blonde with really dark roots.
1:03:24
[SPEAKER_01]: It looks really bad.
1:03:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Fred and God on them seem like the same.
1:03:27
[SPEAKER_01]: And Wesley, like, I'm so sorry, our friend Tom Palmer really wants me to think Wesley's hot.
1:03:33
[SPEAKER_01]: He's not.
1:03:34
[SPEAKER_01]: He's like depressed hot.
1:03:36
[SPEAKER_01]: I guess like if you're into like a guy who looks like he's really been through the ringer.
1:03:40
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, maybe that's for you.
1:03:42
[SPEAKER_01]: I just feel like it's weird that he doesn't have glasses anymore.
1:03:45
[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't really like that change.
1:03:57
[SPEAKER_00]: separate from my type, you know, yeah, that's fair, very fair.
1:04:02
[SPEAKER_01]: But otherwise the episode was kind of black, like I didn't really care.
1:04:05
[SPEAKER_01]: I did like Angel saying Daddy's not done or whatever the hell he says because it was very funny to me and a little little hot, but only for a hot second and then it was like a where you'd say Angel never mind.
1:04:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Why does he have these creepy scars on his face?
1:04:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Has that was from him being underwater for three months with no blood?
1:04:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he's like, his life force is like going away.
1:04:25
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
1:04:27
[SPEAKER_00]: He did choke Wesley when Wesley... And then once again, how did you get out of the water?
1:04:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Wesley saved him.
1:04:33
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, the lady that Wesley had chained up was the lady that helped Connor Hunter Steven ditch Angel.
1:04:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yes, yes, yes, that lady.
1:04:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't like that.
1:04:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Justine.
1:04:44
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's for me.
1:04:44
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
1:04:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Either way.
1:04:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't like, yes, miles built.
1:04:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Why does everybody remember his name?
1:04:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
1:04:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Wild Bill.
1:04:53
[SPEAKER_00]: you were just schoolin' the south-faved money.
1:04:57
[SPEAKER_01]: What, Bill?
1:04:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Was he part of a western?
1:05:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Because he sounds like he was in a western.
1:05:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I think he was just like really crazy.
1:05:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I think he just said like really inappropriate things.
1:05:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Like racist things.
1:05:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Like yeah.
1:05:12
[SPEAKER_01]: And you were like, oh, Bill, you're Bill.
1:05:14
[SPEAKER_01]: You're Bill.
1:05:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Wild Bill.
1:05:17
[SPEAKER_00]: You're so wild.
1:05:19
[SPEAKER_00]: You're crazy guy.
1:05:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody remembers why we were raising money for him.
1:05:23
[SPEAKER_00]: But I swear to God, it wasn't like, I don't think it was cancer.
1:05:27
[SPEAKER_00]: I just like, no one is lying.
1:05:30
[SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about?
1:05:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing to do.
1:05:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Why I think it's part of the problem.
1:05:36
[SPEAKER_00]: I honestly think it could have been a money laundering scheme.
1:05:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.
1:05:42
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, Wild Bill.
1:05:45
[SPEAKER_01]: uh, anyway, that's what happened on Angel, but literally no one cares.
1:05:49
[SPEAKER_01]: We did get an email from Andrew, uh, mostly about about Buffy.
1:05:53
[SPEAKER_01]: We don't need to talk about Angel anymore.
1:05:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and he says, I love season seven.
1:05:59
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm given to understand.
1:06:00
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm in the minority in my opinion, and that the final season of Buffy the vampire wasn't generally robust.
1:06:05
[SPEAKER_01]: received well, but I've always been confused by that.
1:06:08
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to give anything away.
1:06:09
[SPEAKER_01]: I've always had a ton of fun with season seven.
1:06:12
[SPEAKER_01]: They chose the perfect big bad, but maybe I only think that because I love lost.
1:06:16
[SPEAKER_01]: You'll understand the connection soon enough.
1:06:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Or maybe you're smart enough to already get what I'm driving at.
1:06:22
[SPEAKER_01]: In any case, hopefully this will eventually make sense.
1:06:24
[SPEAKER_01]: The best way I can describe season seven is slumber party vibes.
1:06:28
[SPEAKER_01]: I love slumber parties, me.
1:06:32
[SPEAKER_01]: If you enjoy massive sleepovers, then this is the season for you.
1:06:36
[SPEAKER_01]: What?
1:06:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I love massive sleepovers.
1:06:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, only if everyone sleeps over, though.
1:06:42
[SPEAKER_00]: No, if someone leaves.
1:06:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Sure, then they move down the friends list.
1:06:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:06:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:06:47
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to take a stab that you didn't like Dawn's new friends introduced this episode, Kit and Carlos.
1:06:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Why would you think that, Andrew?
1:06:56
[SPEAKER_00]: because I think he's saying because I, if I had to guess, is because they're dorks.
1:07:02
[SPEAKER_00]: And if one of us, one of the two of us don't like dorks.
1:07:07
[SPEAKER_01]: This is true.
1:07:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:07:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, I hope you enjoy what's to come.
1:07:11
[SPEAKER_01]: And remember, from, okay.
1:07:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Remember, from beneath you, it devours.
1:07:21
[SPEAKER_01]: And for that's on the very sexual.
1:07:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I love how you're trying to sneak in references, I mean, yeah, I mean, like I think I'm picking up what you're throwing down and it's oral sex.
1:07:40
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I don't think it's that.
1:07:41
[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, it's giving set on my face, giving the whole mouth is beneath us.
1:07:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, so my husband wants to know if Wild Bill was named after Wild Bill Hickock who is like a figure in Western history.
1:08:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody remembers.
1:08:01
[SPEAKER_00]: This is the thing we all will remember who he is, but yeah.
1:08:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
1:08:08
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's just part of the archives at this moment.
1:08:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, well, one of that, you know, this is Waldwick, New Jersey lore.
1:08:17
[SPEAKER_01]: So this will be whatever one remembers this podcast was about, this wild bill, slash grumpy Joe.
1:08:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to I'm going to text another friend.
1:08:25
[SPEAKER_00]: How many high school friends?
1:08:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I'm going to like school friends do you have like if I had to reach out to someone I was friends with in my school.
1:08:33
[SPEAKER_00]: I'd have to like DM them on Instagram.
1:08:35
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm friends with most of my friends were in high school but they weren't friends with me while in high school.
1:08:42
[SPEAKER_00]: They were only friends with me after high school because of social flags.
1:08:46
[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
1:09:06
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to you probably.
1:09:09
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to the Hilary deaf concert.
1:09:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's so fun.
1:09:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:09:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's how much would you pay to see Hilary deaf is my question.
1:09:21
[SPEAKER_00]: But let me.
1:09:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
1:09:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they're lawn seats.
1:09:24
[SPEAKER_00]: They're lawn seats.
1:09:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
1:09:25
[SPEAKER_01]: For lawn seats how much would I pay?
1:09:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
1:09:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
1:09:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
1:09:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
1:09:28
[SPEAKER_01]: I would pay, um, I'd be like $50.
1:09:33
[SPEAKER_01]: How much do you think that I paid for launch?
1:09:35
[SPEAKER_00]: See, it's very tough.
1:09:37
[SPEAKER_01]: $80.
1:09:39
[SPEAKER_01]: I paid $17.
1:09:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay.
1:09:41
[SPEAKER_01]: I got very scared and I was like, oh my god, it's really bad.
1:09:44
[SPEAKER_01]: That's incredible.
1:09:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, yes, no.
1:09:46
[SPEAKER_01]: No.
1:09:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Is it incredible or is it Hillary?
1:09:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Please, have some dignity.
1:09:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Hillary, you should understand the millennials love you and they would pay more than 17, like grow bump into 20, like why are we rounding down?
1:10:03
[SPEAKER_01]: Hillary, how are you paying your bills in your overhead?
1:10:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, now.
1:10:09
[SPEAKER_01]: I've been ten dollars.
1:10:11
[SPEAKER_01]: This is not what dreams are made of Hillary.
1:10:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Please, $20 at least.
1:10:14
[SPEAKER_00]: I bought an outfit specifically for this occasion.
1:10:18
[SPEAKER_00]: It would cost four times the amount every day or this ticket.
1:10:24
[SPEAKER_01]: As she does, this is what dreams are made of.
1:10:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Will you cry?
1:10:26
[SPEAKER_01]: I love that song.
1:10:28
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, like I said, world's my song on the...
1:10:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Were you listening to it today?
1:10:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Because I saw you listening on discord daily stuff.
1:10:35
[SPEAKER_01]: I, you know why?
1:10:37
[SPEAKER_01]: The spoiler yourself.
1:10:38
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't want to be surprised?
1:10:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I know.
1:10:41
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to be surprised.
1:10:43
[SPEAKER_00]: First, I love being surprised.
1:10:45
[SPEAKER_00]: First, set list.
1:10:45
[SPEAKER_00]: That's insane.
1:10:47
[SPEAKER_01]: I would never even think to look up like, Oh, what songs are they going to play?
1:10:51
[SPEAKER_01]: I just go and see what they play.
1:10:55
[SPEAKER_00]: What dreams are made of is like the on course song.
1:10:57
[SPEAKER_00]: It's the last song.
1:10:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I have to say to the end, which of course I That's good unless like my friends I'm going with like unless there's an issue with them or my child.
1:11:10
[SPEAKER_00]: I will be sad right
1:11:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Mom's night out.
1:11:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh god, I just might kill myself now that I'm sorry.
1:11:18
[SPEAKER_01]: That's so strange.
1:11:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Are you gonna wear a shirt?
1:11:20
[SPEAKER_01]: That's as mama's night out But no I would it I'm not gonna spend money.
1:11:26
[SPEAKER_01]: I was thinking to your own a single shirt or piece of anything like a hand towel.
1:11:33
[SPEAKER_01]: Do you want anything that says the word mama on it?
1:11:37
[SPEAKER_00]: My mother-in-law bought me a boy-mom mug, which it's, okay, that's not so bad, it's bad, it's bad, you know, the thing is, is that it's a really good mug, it's like, see, that's what I'm saying, it's a good word.
1:11:52
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a good word.
1:11:52
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a good word.
1:11:54
[SPEAKER_00]: that we all like salad mug.
1:11:56
[SPEAKER_00]: The color is so pretty.
1:11:58
[SPEAKER_00]: It's this really pretty blue, like the inside of the mug is blue.
1:12:01
[SPEAKER_00]: And the outside is white.
1:12:03
[SPEAKER_00]: And I can get rid of the words.
1:12:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I would be fucking like mom, but I can't be using this mug.
1:12:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Does that am use it?
1:12:14
[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's any box that says future garage sale.
1:12:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh!
1:12:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Why, John?
1:12:24
[SPEAKER_00]: The shade.
1:12:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Is it?
1:12:27
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not.
1:12:29
[SPEAKER_01]: future girl.
1:12:31
[SPEAKER_01]: I love that specifically because like, okay, I don't ever have this issue for numerous reasons, but like, you know, there's like that, that, that stereotype, but like there's that trope of like the mother-and-law coming over and seeing if their shit they got you is like out.
1:12:51
[SPEAKER_01]: I just love that this mug isn't even in the cabinet.
1:12:53
[SPEAKER_01]: It is stowed away in a for future garage sale
1:12:57
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't be.
1:12:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:12:58
[SPEAKER_00]: No, it gave me such an egg.
1:13:00
[SPEAKER_00]: And it was so sweet.
1:13:01
[SPEAKER_00]: She it was really sweet.
1:13:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Actually.
1:13:03
[SPEAKER_00]: She got me like a basket, which I used the basket.
1:13:06
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not basket is whatever who cares.
1:13:09
[SPEAKER_00]: She got me a receptacle.
1:13:11
[SPEAKER_00]: I used in the and I used in the nursery.
1:13:14
[SPEAKER_00]: And it was a bunch of blue stuff like it was like, like this notebook and so everything is blue up.
1:13:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I got it.
1:13:22
[SPEAKER_00]: And once again, like, I really like the mug, I just can't be using anything.
1:13:26
[SPEAKER_00]: This is boy momma.
1:13:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Listen, I get it.
1:13:28
[SPEAKER_01]: That anytime I see anyone wearing like a mama bear shirt, I want to kill myself, like, so bad.
1:13:35
[SPEAKER_00]: And I want to die.
1:13:36
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the worst thing that I think the millennials do.
1:13:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I think like we're pretty good matchy outfits, but like all that stuff that's like,
1:13:45
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, but very scoffee and like yeah, oh my god, but first coffee.
1:13:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:13:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, it's we need to label everything and I don't know why that is like I don't need a sign that says kitchen in my kitchen like I'm pretty sure the stove in the fridge.
1:13:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Give it away.
1:13:59
[SPEAKER_01]: I can find it.
1:14:01
[SPEAKER_01]: I can look at the kitchen.
1:14:03
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why we feel the need to label everything, but it is too much.
1:14:07
[SPEAKER_00]: It's very chuggy.
1:14:09
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think the chugies outdated, but it's a gift.
1:14:13
[SPEAKER_00]: It gives you the heck.
1:14:13
[SPEAKER_00]: I think chuggy became chuggy, which is really unfortunate.
1:14:17
[SPEAKER_01]: The chuggy became chuggy.
1:14:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, the word chuggy.
1:14:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, chuggy.
1:14:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I got you.
1:14:23
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm keeping up now.
1:14:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's, have you heard, um, I'm trying to remember what, like the newest, like the new six seven is now like scuba, have you heard a scuba?
1:14:39
[SPEAKER_01]: I had, someone said, I think,
1:14:43
[SPEAKER_01]: I want to say will's nephew are nephew.
1:14:46
[SPEAKER_01]: There was something with scuba and him and he's like that age.
1:14:49
[SPEAKER_01]: So that would make sense.
1:14:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there was like a hand movement.
1:14:54
[SPEAKER_00]: It means nothing.
1:14:55
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like six, seven.
1:14:56
[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't mean anything.
1:14:56
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just scuba and some sort of like some like hand and gold saying, I'm going to want to die when your son eventually starts saying this weird ass shit.
1:15:07
[SPEAKER_00]: It's no sense.
1:15:08
[SPEAKER_00]: I just hope you hold.
1:15:09
[SPEAKER_00]: a little bit funny like just a little right now.
1:15:12
[SPEAKER_00]: He's just a flaming asshole, but I, there's hope.
1:15:17
[SPEAKER_00]: I just, because at least he has a personality, you know, he's not boring.
1:15:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Does he like he's literally, you're leaving them.
1:15:25
[SPEAKER_00]: I saw him downstairs for what reason.
1:15:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Right now, right now.
1:15:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for what reason?
1:15:30
[SPEAKER_01]: And you have good soundproofing.
1:15:31
[SPEAKER_01]: I can hear him.
1:15:34
[SPEAKER_01]: I hear him.
1:15:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's probably the microphone, it's pretty good.
1:15:36
[SPEAKER_01]: This is a big enough, you're my dog's barks from the link.
1:15:40
[SPEAKER_01]: They're not doing that right now, if I go out anyway.
1:15:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know, that's about it.
1:15:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, all right.
1:15:47
[SPEAKER_01]: We've established all of this stuff at the end of the podcast.
1:15:48
[SPEAKER_01]: And if you like things that say, like, boy, mom and everything, like, listen, we're not trying to be offensive, but it is silly.
1:15:56
[SPEAKER_01]: You do what you do, and if you like it, you like it, they're obviously a lot of people out there who like it, because they manufacture that shit, like it's going out of style.
1:16:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's up.
1:16:03
[SPEAKER_00]: If there's any boy moms out there that want a blue mug that want the blood the mug that's a really good mug.
1:16:10
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a good size.
1:16:11
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a finger finger fingers.
1:16:13
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a really pretty blue.
1:16:15
[SPEAKER_00]: If you want the mug.
1:16:17
[SPEAKER_00]: My thing is I will send you that mug.
1:16:22
[SPEAKER_00]: for free, and I will include shipping because you're listening to me.
1:16:26
[SPEAKER_00]: And as long as you're not mad at me, you know?
1:16:28
[SPEAKER_00]: There you go, beautiful, there's the agreement.
1:16:31
[SPEAKER_00]: You wanna claim the mug, you claim the mug, you know?
1:16:33
[SPEAKER_00]: But you had to prove that you're a boy mom.
1:16:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Not by sending me pictures, I don't need to see pictures.
1:16:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I don't know, just like, I don't want like randoms, like, I don't want like, Jeffrey from Ohio to be like, I'm boy mom, you know, you're not boy mom.
1:16:50
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a good Jeffrey from all over here, that head incredible.
1:16:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's everything.
1:16:56
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know if I told you, I didn't tell you the next week's episode titles.
1:17:00
[SPEAKER_01]: We should do that and then look it out here.
1:17:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see.
1:17:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, this is so funny.
1:17:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Season 7 episode two of Buffy is called Benef you.
1:17:07
[SPEAKER_01]: It devours your vagina from beneath.
1:17:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no, okay.
1:17:10
[SPEAKER_00]: So then that's like an next week reference.
1:17:12
[SPEAKER_00]: There you go.
1:17:13
[SPEAKER_01]: And then Angel, no one cares, but it's season four episode two, ground state.
1:17:18
[SPEAKER_01]: at least it's two words, and two words they did it, they did it everyone anyway that's next week's problem so until then everyone here and if the lesson
