- Lucas: Welcome back to Learn Telugu with Fexingo. I'm Lucas, and here with me is Luna. Luna: Hi, everyone! I'm so ready for today. We've been to so many shops already, right? Lucas: Yeah, we have. We've done sweet shops, flower shops, even a jewellery shop. But today, we're going somewhere totally fresh. Luna: Fresh like, produce fresh? Are we going to a fruit shop? Lucas: Exactly. A fruit shop. You already know some fruit names from earlier episodes, like apple, banana, and mango. Luna: Right, I remember. మామిడి is mango, and ఆపిల్ is apple. Lucas: Perfect. But today we're going to learn how to actually buy them. So first phrase, the most useful one: That means, I want fruits. Say it with me: Lucas: There you go. So when you walk into a shop, you say that. Luna: Got it. Now let's say we want a specific fruit. Like, I want an apple. Would that be నాకు ఆపిల్ కావాలి? Lucas: Exactly. I want an apple. Say it again, slowly. Lucas: Great. Now, what if you want to ask if they have mangoes? That's, do you have mango fruits? Literally, are mango fruits there? Luna: Oh, I like that. Lucas: Perfect. Now, say they have them. You want to ask for a kilo. Please give me one kilo of apples. That's a bit long but I think I got it. Lucas: You did. And then, of course, you want to know the price. So, ఇది ఎంత? How much is this? Luna: ఇది ఎంత? We've used that so many times, at the sweet shop, at the flower shop, at the coffee shop. It's my favorite phrase. Lucas: It's a good one. So let's put this all together in a little scene. You walk into a fruit shop. Lucas: The shopkeeper shows you apples and mangoes. You point to the apples and say, Lucas: Then you ask, Lucas: Yes, they have mangoes. You say, ఒక కేజీ ఆపిల్ ఇవ్వండి, and then ask ఇది ఎంత? That's a whole conversation right there. Lucas: Yeah, and you just did it all. Now let's do a quick review. First, I want fruits. Lucas: I want an apple. Lucas: Do you have mangoes? Lucas: Please give me one kilo of apples. Lucas: And how much is this? Luna: ఇది ఎంత? Lucas: You nailed it. And that's it for today. So, if you want to keep making progress like this, you know, it's thanks to listeners like you that we can make these episodes. Luna: Yeah, it's true. We keep it ad-free, and that's because some of you support us on buy me a coffee dot com slash fexingo. Lucas: Yeah. A small group of listeners already chips in monthly, and that really helps us keep going. So, if you've been enjoying these lessons, that's a way to say thanks. Luna: Totally. And now, back to fruits. I think I'm going to practice this the next time I'm at the market. Maybe I'll get some bananas too. Lucas: Good idea. You already know the word for banana, but you can also ask for them by saying That's a bonus phrase for you. Luna: Oh, nice. I'll add that to my list. Lucas: See you next time on Learn Telugu with Fexingo. Keep practicing these phrases, and you'll be a fruit shop pro in no time. Luna: Bye, everyone!
