  Speaker 1: I know a lot of people who have given up

  Speaker 1: on achieving the life of their dreams. But I know

  Speaker 1: they'd still want them if they could get to them.

  Speaker 1: But they just allowed to settle for so many reasons.

  Speaker 1: So who I'm talking to is you today? What's really

  Speaker 1: at the core of stopping you? What is that? Is

  Speaker 1: it your friends or your associates. Is it the fear

  Speaker 1: of what you think somebody else will think of you

  Speaker 1: if you decide to change. Is it what I used

  Speaker 1: to call the call of the wile? Is it the

  Speaker 1: fact that you keep thinking that the thing that you're

  Speaker 1: doing that's providing you these momentary moments of pleasure that

  Speaker 1: really ain't really good or healthy for you. You don't

  Speaker 1: want to stop doing that because you've got just a

  Speaker 1: little bit more something else you want to do. I

  Speaker 1: call that the call of the while. You know it's

  Speaker 1: just out there. Them streets is calling you, Them lights

  Speaker 1: is calling you. You know, them girls is calling you.

  Speaker 1: Them guys that's on the wrong side, keep calling you.

  Speaker 1: You can't seem to make a decision by the right guy.

  Speaker 1: You keep picking the wrong guy all the time. What

  Speaker 1: is it that's stopping you from having the life that

  Speaker 1: you really want to have. So whatever the reason you're choosing,

  Speaker 1: that's the reason that's stopping you from having the life

  Speaker 1: that you want to have. It's no good because at

  Speaker 1: the end of the date, here's the real deal. See,

  Speaker 1: God is available, and God is available for all of us,

  Speaker 1: and God has a plan for all of us, and

  Speaker 1: God wants the very best for all of us. That's

  Speaker 1: the truth of the matter. So now what we're gonna

  Speaker 1: do to get started having that life? First of all,

  Speaker 1: if it's your friends, I want you to understand something.

  Speaker 1: Your friends can't save you. A lot of your friends

  Speaker 1: offer no real help for you. Most of your friends

  Speaker 1: don't have the answer themselves. I mean, it's just a

  Speaker 1: wide range of reasons and misery love company. So usually

  Speaker 1: when your friends are in a bad position. They kind

  Speaker 1: of like company in that bad position. Your friends ain't

  Speaker 1: going to church, You're gonna be their friend. They don't
• 2:45
  Speaker 1: really want you to go to church. You know your

  Speaker 1: friends don't pray, so why would they offer up prayer

  Speaker 1: as a solution to you. You know, your friends don't

  Speaker 1: really really get the fact that if you treat people

  Speaker 1: but better, people would treat you better. So what's that?

  Speaker 1: So your friends are a lot of times the reasons,

  Speaker 1: you know, to peer pressure of what and then the

  Speaker 1: thought in your mind of what they gonna think once

  Speaker 1: they find out I don't do what they do anymore.

  Speaker 1: Who cares what they think other than you? I mean, really,

  Speaker 1: you can't let what somebody thinks of you stop you

  Speaker 1: from having the best life you wanted to have. If

  Speaker 1: I went by that theory right there, wouldn't I wouldn't

  Speaker 1: even be on this mic this morning. I would have

  Speaker 1: never become a stand up I would had I listened

  Speaker 1: to the people around me who clearly told me when

  Speaker 1: I quit my job to pursue this, boy, don't you

  Speaker 1: quit your job? You got a family, Boy, don't you

  Speaker 1: do this? You ain't got no bit that ain't no

  Speaker 1: security in that. Get yourself a job. Go down here,

  Speaker 1: and what's your brothers? Go to work over here? Go

  Speaker 1: to I heard all of that. I didn't let that

  Speaker 1: stop me from pursuing this. Why would you allow that

  Speaker 1: to stop you from pursuing your relationship with God so

  Speaker 1: you can have the best life you could possibly have?

  Speaker 1: You gang bang because they've convinced you that this is
• 4:09
  Speaker 1: the family situation and love that you don't have, and

  Speaker 1: they've convinced you that this is your only way, your
• 4:16
  Speaker 1: only source of getting over. And then you drum up
• 4:20
  Speaker 1: these ignorant reasons man for staying with it. But they
• 4:24
  Speaker 1: sound so good when you listening to everybody else you
• 4:27
  Speaker 1: surrounded by telling you why we gang banging? Why we
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: holding this block down? Why we slanging this thing here
• 4:34
  Speaker 1: right here? Why we letting it go like this here?

  Speaker 1: You keep listening to them when all in your heart

  Speaker 1: of hearts you know this ain't right, You already know,

  Speaker 1: but you allow that form of the call of the

  Speaker 1: wile that wanting to be accepted by a group of

  Speaker 1: people who trying to get you to accept the way,

  Speaker 1: so you con further they progress to even prove that

  Speaker 1: you're worthy to be around them. You got to commit

  Speaker 1: some type of crime to even prove that you're worthy

  Speaker 1: to be around them. Then when you get busted on

  Speaker 1: the crime, what happens to that where your family are

  Speaker 1: Now they don't come down there to see you because

  Speaker 1: guess what, they can't turn in They idea to desk

  Speaker 1: at a law enforcement center. So now your homies can't

  Speaker 1: come visit you. And then you know your family back

  Speaker 1: out here, they ain't taking care of your family because

  Speaker 1: it's all about them. Then you learn that what is

  Speaker 1: it that's stopping you from having the life that you

  Speaker 1: always wanted to have? What is it? Why are you

  Speaker 1: a repeat offender? Why do you keep checking yourself back

  Speaker 1: into that institution? Why? Man, why won't you get it together?

  Speaker 1: Why won't you give God a try? Why won't you

  Speaker 1: disassociate yourself? Why would you continue to be a part

  Speaker 1: of a revolving door system and becoming a farm system

  Speaker 1: for these institutions that ain't got nothing for you? But

  Speaker 1: you keep going back in there. And then every time

  Speaker 1: you go in there, and now your little home tell

  Speaker 1: me or your gang bangy little little silly little friends

  Speaker 1: try to make you think that's a badge of honor.

  Speaker 1: There ain't no badge of honor. Man, that's one mold.

  Speaker 1: What's one more scratch on that record? That's one mold.

  Speaker 1: That's one more nail in that coffin. That's one step

  Speaker 1: closer to that third strike where you ain't gonna ever

  Speaker 1: get out. It's one step closer to that graveyard you

  Speaker 1: keep on. Why would you not give God a try?

  Speaker 1: could really be? What is it that's stopping you? Because see,

  Speaker 1: I got news for you. There's nothing like waking up free.

  Speaker 1: I don't care who you are. There's nothing like waking

  Speaker 1: up with the joy in your heart. Now, if you

  Speaker 1: ain't gonna be free, get the joy in your heart,

  Speaker 1: the satisfaction of knowing that you're accomplishing something with your life.

  Speaker 1: Help somebody behind them balls, get in the program, Show

  Speaker 1: these young cats when they come in a better way.

  Speaker 1: But don't you dash sit there, man and just ride

  Speaker 1: it out, and man, just go and get the fullest

  Speaker 1: feels like to wake up and be on your way

  Speaker 1: somewhere knowing that you have something to accomplish, that you

  Speaker 1: can change somebody that you can stop somebody from going

  Speaker 1: down the roads you went down. It's a whole lot

  Speaker 1: of ways to make your life better. But why would

  Speaker 1: you not go and have the best life you can have?

  Speaker 1: What is that's stopping you? Really? Really? So you think

  Speaker 1: that Satan really has your best interest at heart, That

  Speaker 1: the little thing your mama kept telling you about praying

  Speaker 1: you wasn't listening was you. But you know, it ain't

  Speaker 1: ever too late to get back to that. It ain't

  Speaker 1: ever too late to turn around, it ain't ever too

  Speaker 1: late to get your life together, it ain't ever too

  Speaker 1: late to seek God, and it ain't ever too late

  Speaker 1: to pray. Don't forget to pray, don't be ashamed to pray,

  Speaker 1: and don't be too proud to pray, because prayer changes things.
