Latest / Brandon Fogal Evolution / #180 - Reddit Atheist Reacts to Christian Nationalism!
Transcript
- 0:00Worlds are colliding. So did you know that Christian nationalism is on the rise?
- 0:05Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
- 0:07Well, we're going to see from a Reddit atheist his perspective.
- 0:12Yeah, if you had told me that, again, the guy with a bunch of tattoos from the
- 0:17Crusades would be doing this, I would immediately believe it. Yep.
- 0:22And before people start calling him the Antichrist, you oppress enough people,
- 0:25don't expect a counter swing.
- 0:26I think that a lot of people view, and this is the reason why I think that it's happening.
- 0:30I think that it's happening primarily because they see encroaching religions,
- 0:35primarily Islam, taking hold in European countries. And I think that Americans
- 0:40are looking to inoculate themselves from that happening in America.
- 0:43And the way that they see that working is by taking on Christian nationalism
- 0:49as an oppositional perspective to Muslim nationalism or Islamic nationalism.
- 0:54And I think that's definitely what's happening here. And so these are people
- 0:59primarily who I don't know if all of them necessarily believe everything in the Bible.
- 1:03But what I think that they do believe is that they want to be told what to do
- 1:08based off of the Bible and not the Koran.
- 1:10And I think that whenever you look at the way that the demographics have changed and.
- 1:15OK, so right there, would you rather live under a theocratic rule of Islam or Christianity?
- 1:22And do we have to choose? Is it one one way or the other?
- 1:26So this Reddit user, I don't even, I don't know his name. I do watch him every now and then.
- 1:30I think it produces a lot of good content, but him, he is striking back about
- 1:35and implying this narrative that Christian nationalism is on the rise and it's
- 1:41being like headed by Pete Hegseth,
- 1:44who has a high position in the Trump administration.
- 1:48Where this goes is very interesting, but it doesn't even have to do with the
- 1:52fact that whether Christianity is true or Islam is true, I would fully guarantee
- 1:58to you, if you are listening to this, Christianity is true.
- 2:01But the person that is a Reddit user, not a Reddit user, but an atheist person
- 2:06like this, that talking head on Reddit, it's going to be fundamentally tougher
- 2:11for him to accept the Christian position.
- 2:14And he just sees it's scary with people that have a high position and wanting
- 2:20to impose religion on them and Christian religion nonetheless.
- 2:24Where this goes, it's very interesting for all and we should be ready.
- 2:29I don't think, I think people just hijack a lot of things. They hijack religion and they use it.
- 2:35But Christianity is true nonetheless. But if people want to take it in a bad
- 2:39direction, I'm not sure if they're taking it in a bad direction,
- 2:41but with Hexeth and what they're saying, but it's what people vote for.
- 2:45You get what you vote for. so we'll leave it at that follow me on x and instagram
- 2:50at brandonfogle have a great day peace everyone.
