- 0:17Speaker 1: with Sienna. We're going to talk about an event that's
- 0:19Speaker 1: coming up September 18th. It's called After Hours with South
- 0:23Speaker 1: Dakota ProStart. So first of all, thank you for taking
- 0:26Speaker 1: the time to chat. Let's talk a little bit about
- 0:27Speaker 1: this event and who is this event geared towards. And
- 0:31Speaker 1: then we're going to tell them how to get tickets
- 0:32Speaker 1: here in a minute.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Yeah, this event is geared towards anybody who has a
- 0:36Speaker 2: love for food and is interested in how we're fostering
- 0:40Speaker 2: the next generation of culinary industry leaders.
- 0:43Speaker 1: So this is a way to get something delicious, but also...
- 0:46Speaker 1: to help that next generation who is trying to get
- 0:50Speaker 1: into the job market and trying to become professionals in
- 0:53Speaker 1: their field.
- 0:54Speaker 3: So it's kind of a delicious way to help others, really.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Absolutely. Absolutely. Plum's Kitchen has been generous enough. They have
- 1:02Speaker 2: one of our ProStart alumni who worked for them, and
- 1:05Speaker 2: it was her decision to create this fundraiser to help
- 1:11Speaker 2: give back to the program that really helped foster her
- 1:13Speaker 2: love for food and going into the culinary industry. So
- 1:17Speaker 2: we're very grateful for Chef April Johnson.
- 1:20Speaker 3: I love that.
- 1:21Speaker 1: And we've got some chefs that are going to be
- 1:22Speaker 1: doing this. We've got a bunch of people who've already
- 1:25Speaker 1: signed up, but there is room. So if you'd like
- 1:28Speaker 1: to join us on the 18th of September, you can
- 1:32Speaker 1: buy tickets and it's affordable because you're going out, you're
- 1:35Speaker 1: getting food and you're getting like an experience as well.
- 1:38Speaker 3: So I think this is a really cool date night,
- 1:40Speaker 3: isn't it?
- 1:40Speaker 2: It's absolutely a great date night. You'll You'll get a
- 1:43Speaker 2: great meal. You'll learn about how to cook the items
- 1:47Speaker 2: that you'll be served that night. And then you'll also
- 1:49Speaker 2: get to interact with some of the high school students
- 1:51Speaker 2: that are currently taking the culinary arts program at high
- 1:55Speaker 2: schools around the state.
- 1:56Speaker 1: And the thing that's really neat, you know, there are
- 1:58Speaker 1: some people who like to complain. They're like, oh, these
- 2:00Speaker 1: kids today, these kids just don't want to work. The
- 2:02Speaker 1: kids that are here, they do want to work. Not
- 2:04Speaker 1: only do they want to work, they're working and they're
- 2:07Speaker 1: learning how to become better in their field. So we're
- 2:11Speaker 1: training the next generation, and this is an opportunity to
- 2:14Speaker 1: go out and watch them do that, watch them have
- 2:16Speaker 1: fun doing that, and then you get to eat some food, too.
- 2:19Speaker 3: So, I mean, it's just win-win-win, really.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Yeah, the students are absolutely amazing. All of the students
- 2:24Speaker 2: that take part in this program are ones that are
- 2:28Speaker 2: looking to hone their skills in culinary artistry and hospitality
- 2:34Speaker 2: management and really have a drive to do that in
- 2:37Speaker 2: the future.
- 2:38Speaker 1: And I'm looking at the menu right now and everything
- 2:41Speaker 1: on this menu looks so amazing. I'm going to throw
- 2:43Speaker 1: a link so folks can get all that. So we're
- 2:44Speaker 1: not just reading a menu on the radio. That might
- 2:46Speaker 1: be kind of silly. But if you want to see,
- 2:49Speaker 1: there's wine pairings, there's dessert station, there's pasta, there's appetizers,
- 2:53Speaker 1: there's salad station. There's a lot of different things on here.
- 2:55Speaker 1: And again, we'll throw a link to make it easy
- 2:57Speaker 1: for you to find it. And the cool thing is,
- 2:59Speaker 1: when you're looking at that, you can click a little
- 3:00Speaker 1: button and you can buy a ticket or maybe get
- 3:03Speaker 1: two tickets and do this for a date night.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Again, it's coming up Friday, September 18th. It's at 6 p.m.
- 3:09Speaker 3: And where is this located? This is downtown Sioux Falls.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Is that right?
- 3:12Speaker 2: Yes, it's downtown Sioux Falls at Plum's Cooking Company.
- 3:16Speaker 1: So if you want to go out afterwards as well,
- 3:19Speaker 1: you're already downtown. There's always so many things to do. Again,
- 3:21Speaker 1: it's called After Hours with South Dakota Pro Start. It's
- 3:24Speaker 1: September 18th. If you would like to get tickets, I've

- 3:29Speaker 1: super easy. Again, Facebook.com slash Sunny Radio and Facebook.com slash
- 3:34Speaker 1: Sioux Falls News. And again, thank you so much for
- 3:37Speaker 1: taking the time to chat with us about this. I
- 3:38Speaker 1: think it sounds like.
- 3:39Speaker 3: A lot of fun.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Oh, it's absolutely going to be a blast. So I
- 3:42Speaker 2: can't wait. I can't wait to see what the students
- 3:44Speaker 2: do and look forward to seeing everybody there.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Again, the event is coming up on Friday, September 18th.
