  Speaker 1: This letter is from Simon. Peter.

  Speaker 2: I am Jesus Christ's servant and his apostle. I am

  Speaker 2: writing to you people who believe in Jesus Christ.

  Speaker 1: As we do.

  Speaker 2: That is a valuable gift that God has given to

  Speaker 2: all of us. He has done this because Jesus is

  Speaker 2: completely good and right. Jesus is the one who saves us.

  Speaker 2: He is the God that we serve. I pray that

  Speaker 2: God will help you and give you peace in your

  Speaker 2: minds more and more. You will grow as believers because

  Speaker 2: you know God and you know Jesus our Lord.

  Speaker 2: More and more peace as you increase. your love for

  Speaker 2: Jesus Christ, whether it be in prayer, whether it be

  Speaker 2: in Bible study, whether it be in praise and worship, right?

  Speaker 2: The more and more that you feed that spirit, the.

  Speaker 1: More and more it becomes peaceful.

  Speaker 2: Now that doesn't mean that despair and negative things won't come,

  Speaker 2: but they just can't stay.

  Speaker 2: Because they can't stay.

  Speaker 1: There's not enough room.

  Speaker 2: When you are fixated on Jesus Christ and being able

  Speaker 2: to be in the Word and pray and praise Him,

  Speaker 2: there's no room for the enemy to come in. And

  Speaker 2: they will leave you. And they will also try to
• 2:44
  Speaker 2: find somebody that's weaker. And that's the thing I want
• 2:47
  Speaker 2: to talk a little bit about before I get into
• 2:49
  Speaker 2: verse 3, is that No matter how strong your faith is,
• 2:53
  Speaker 2: that doesn't mean that the enemy can't try to provoke
• 2:57
  Speaker 2: you by aggravating you through people that you love and that.
• 3:03
  Speaker 1: Love you. Don't forget about that.

  Speaker 2: And it's very easy to get discouraged and distracted by
• 3:13
  Speaker 2: the enemy.
• 3:14
  Speaker 1: The enemy is very clever.
• 3:16
  Speaker 2: And that's why you have to be on your P's
• 3:18
  Speaker 2: and Q's when it comes to your faith in Jesus Christ.

  Speaker 2: And it's not all about going to church. It's not
• 3:24
  Speaker 2: all about reading the Bible. It's not all about worshiping.
• 3:30
  Speaker 2: All of those things are very important. Don't get me wrong.
• 3:37
  Speaker 2: But the most important thing you could do is have
• 3:39
  Speaker 2: that relationship with Jesus Christ by allowing the Holy Spirit
• 3:43
  Speaker 2: to come in. Even when you don't know what to
• 3:45
  Speaker 2: pray about, the Holy Spirit prays for you.
• 3:48
  Speaker 1: Amen.

  Speaker 2: So God has given us everything we need to grow
• 3:52
  Speaker 2: as believers.
• 3:53
  Speaker 1: We don't need to seek anywhere. Hear me out. Verse 3.

  Speaker 2: God is very powerful because He is God.
• 3:59
  Speaker 1: He has used that power to help us.
• 4:02
  Speaker 2: He has given us everything we need to live in
• 4:05
  Speaker 2: a good way.
• 4:06
  Speaker 1: We can do these....

  Speaker 2: We can do things that please God. This is possible
• 4:12
  Speaker 2: because now we know Him. God has chosen us to
• 4:15
  Speaker 2: be His people because... He is very great and very good.

  Speaker 2: He chose people. People want to make it seem like
• 4:28
  Speaker 2: they're chosen and that they're uniquely.
• 4:34
  Speaker 1: Made, right?
• 4:35
  Speaker 2: But what it really means is God has chosen His people.
• 4:42
  Speaker 1: He made us.
• 4:45
  Speaker 2: So He also gave us that free will to choose
• 4:48
  Speaker 2: him or to choose this world and a lot of
• 4:51
  Speaker 2: us choose this world and we get we get chewed
• 4:54
  Speaker 2: up and spit out and we only yell out to
• 4:59
  Speaker 2: god when we're angry or when we're in desperate need
• 5:04
  Speaker 2: what about the victories what about when you're having a
• 5:06
  Speaker 2: great day you know what about when things are completely
• 5:11
  Speaker 2: in great terms whether it's with your job your significant
• 5:17
  Speaker 2: other And there's just so many different things that we
• 5:21
  Speaker 2: could be bringing the spirit in instead of pushing it away.

  Speaker 2: I want to get a little deeper, though. I want
• 5:28
  Speaker 2: to get a little deeper. Because the more and more
• 5:32
  Speaker 2: that is revealed to me, the more and more I
• 5:38
  Speaker 2: realize how distracted I was. Not just by alcohol, not
• 5:42
  Speaker 2: just by drugs, but by people, places, and things. that
• 5:46
  Speaker 2: gave me temporary pleasure. It was never everlasting. Now following Christ,
• 5:52
  Speaker 2: I really do have that joy in my heart and
• 5:55
  Speaker 2: in my core.
• 5:56
  Speaker 1: That does not mean I don't get nervous.
• 5:58
  Speaker 2: I don't have insecurities sometimes, but they don't consume me.

  Speaker 1: Praise God. Praise God.
• 6:06
  Speaker 2: And because of this, God has promised, and this is
• 6:09
  Speaker 2: 2 Peter chapter 1 verse 4, because of this, God
• 6:13
  Speaker 2: has promised that he will do very great and valuable
• 6:17
  Speaker 2: things for us. As a result, you can do what
• 6:20
  Speaker 2: is right, like God does. The people who belong to
• 6:24
  Speaker 2: this world want to do bad things. Those bad things
• 6:28
  Speaker 2: make them become worse and worse. But God gives you
• 6:31
  Speaker 2: the power to be free from all of that.
• 6:35
  Speaker 1: Glory to God. Just think about how.
• 6:40
  Speaker 2: Much we as human beings mess things up. whether it's
• 6:45
  Speaker 2: a relationship, whether it's a job, whether it's a friendship,
• 6:52
  Speaker 2: we have the tendencies to allow our emotions to get
• 6:57
  Speaker 2: the best of us. And I say this so freely
• 7:01
  Speaker 2: because I've been one of those people that I wanted
• 7:06
  Speaker 2: the worldly things.
• 7:08
  Speaker 1: And I could never get enough of it, one. And two.
• 7:12
  Speaker 2: it also brought upon me circumstances that I'm still in
• 7:18
  Speaker 2: and still overcoming because of my choices. The consequences of
• 7:24
  Speaker 2: my choices has led me here. Now, you don't have
• 7:30
  Speaker 2: to go down the same avenues as I did. You
• 7:36
  Speaker 2: have the opportunity, even right now as you listen to
• 7:39
  Speaker 2: this episode, to do the next right thing and to
• 7:44
  Speaker 2: please God. The more and more that you do what
• 7:47
  Speaker 2: God wants you to do, the more and more you
• 7:49
  Speaker 2: want to do it.
• 7:50
  Speaker 1: Amen? So I want to get deeper. Let's get deeper.

  Speaker 2: God has done all this to help you. So now
• 7:58
  Speaker 2: that you live in Christ, you must grow as believers.

  Speaker 2: Always try to do what is good. Then you should
• 8:06
  Speaker 2: start to know God more. Then you should learn to
• 8:09
  Speaker 2: control yourselves properly. this is not all. You should have
• 8:14
  Speaker 2: also learned to be patient and brave. I love how
• 8:17
  Speaker 2: it says that. You should also learn to be patient
• 8:21
  Speaker 2: and brave as you should live in a way that
• 8:24
  Speaker 2: pleases God, glorifying God in everything that you do. And
• 8:31
  Speaker 2: the one thing that I also want to mention is
• 8:35
  Speaker 2: you don't have to clean up to come to God.
• 8:37
  Speaker 2: You don't have to Get on your knees every time
• 8:40
  Speaker 2: you talk to God, too. You could be having a
• 8:43
  Speaker 2: conversation with God like you have a conversation with somebody
• 8:46
  Speaker 2: that's right there with you. And being honest. Because God
• 8:51
  Speaker 2: already knows your heart. How can God work on your
• 8:54
  Speaker 2: heart if you're sitting there and you're just telling these
• 8:56
  Speaker 2: foxborough prayers or you're just throwing up these haymakers and
• 9:02
  Speaker 2: just hoping that heaven hears you? No, you have to
• 9:05
  Speaker 2: be able to really dive deep into relationship and increase
• 9:09
  Speaker 2: that love. Because it's essential. You should not only please God,
• 9:15
  Speaker 2: but you should be kind to other believers. You should
• 9:18
  Speaker 2: not only love other believers, you, but you must also
• 9:23
  Speaker 2: love all people. Whether they believe in Jesus Christ or not.
• 9:27
  Speaker 2: Whether they believe in God or not. Whether they believe
• 9:31
  Speaker 2: in the Holy Spirit or not. You must love them anyways.

  Speaker 2: Forgive them for they do not know what they do.
• 9:39
  Speaker 2: And that's not to relieve them. That's to relieve you.
• 9:43
  Speaker 2: Because if you want to start living, and you want
• 9:47
  Speaker 2: to start really being prosperous, and you want to be successful,
• 9:51
  Speaker 2: you cannot hold grudges on people, places, and things that, one,
• 9:55
  Speaker 2: do not feed your purpose anymore.
• 9:57
  Speaker 1: Or two, that are lingering.

  Speaker 2: And that hold you back from what god really has
• 10:04
  Speaker 2: in store and i don't care how long you've known
• 10:06
  Speaker 2: somebody loyalty has an expiration date on it and those
• 10:11
  Speaker 2: people that you are so loyal to are not so
• 10:15
  Speaker 2: much loyal to you as you may think And the gossip,
• 10:19
  Speaker 2: the negativity that's behind the scenes, the wasted idle time.
• 10:26
  Speaker 2: I mean, I could get deeper into it, but I won't.
• 10:29
  Speaker 2: I'm a victim of that as well. I'm also a
• 10:32
  Speaker 2: villain of that. I can waste time. And let's get deeper.

  Speaker 1: Let's get deeper. Let's get deeper.

  Speaker 2: You should continue to grow as believers in all these ways.
• 10:56
  Speaker 2: Then it will show that you really know our Lord
• 10:59
  Speaker 2: Jesus Christ. People will see that your life has good results.

  Speaker 2: But some people do not live in these good ways.
• 11:10
  Speaker 2: They do not think that these things are important. They
• 11:14
  Speaker 2: are like blind people. They cannot really see anything properly.
• 11:19
  Speaker 2: They have forgotten that God has made them clean from
• 11:23
  Speaker 2: all the sins that they did in the past times. So,
• 11:27
  Speaker 2: my friends, try very much to live in a way
• 11:31
  Speaker 2: that pleases God. God has chosen you to be His
• 11:33
  Speaker 2: own people. Show that you really do belong to Him.
• 11:37
  Speaker 2: If you do these things, you will never turn away
• 11:40
  Speaker 2: from God. Then God will bring you safely into the
• 11:43
  Speaker 2: kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ that continues forever. Jesus
• 11:48
  Speaker 2: Christ is our Savior and God will be happy to
• 11:51
  Speaker 2: welcome you into His kingdom. You already know these things,
• 11:57
  Speaker 2: 2 Peter verse 1.

  Speaker 1: You know that they are completely true.
• 12:04
  Speaker 2: But because they are important, I will continue to tell
• 12:07
  Speaker 2: you more about them again and again. See, it says
• 12:11
  Speaker 2: this because sometimes we need to be reminded over and
• 12:15
  Speaker 2: over again.
• 12:17
  Speaker 1: Are shortcomings.
• 12:18
  Speaker 2: And as much as it may make us uncomfortable to
• 12:20
  Speaker 2: realize how much we fall short of God's standards by
• 12:24
  Speaker 2: living up to society's standards, having that relationship with Jesus Christ,
• 12:29
  Speaker 2: and I'm not just saying, oh, you're calling yourself a
• 12:31
  Speaker 2: Christian and you wear a cross. No, we're talking about
• 12:34
  Speaker 2: real believers. Without a shadow of a doubt, you believe
• 12:40
  Speaker 2: everything about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Take it from
• 12:44
  Speaker 2: somebody that was just a believer, for so long, it's
• 12:48
  Speaker 2: very difficult to grasp and to believe full-heartedly.
• 12:55
  Speaker 1: For some, it's easier. But for this follower of Christ,
• 13:01
  Speaker 1: I was a rebel.
• 13:04
  Speaker 2: I was not a completely horrible person, but my intentions
• 13:09
  Speaker 2: weren't always good. And Over time, the Holy Spirit was
• 13:16
  Speaker 2: really working on me. And I'm just so grateful for that.
• 13:21
  Speaker 2: You have this opportunity each and every day.
• 13:27
  Speaker 1: To be a better version of yourself and glorify God. Amen?

  Speaker 2: So, I want to leave this one minute open for discussion.

  Speaker 2: identity that is not mine.

  Speaker 1: Praise God. Praise Jesus. Praise Holy Spirit. The best is
