- 0:01What y 'all thought y 'all wasn't gonna see me?
- 0:04I'm the Osiris of this shit. I'm born atomically.
- 0:08Socrates, philosophies, and hypotheses. Can't
- 0:11define how I be dropping these mockeries. Lyrically
- 0:13perform on robbery. Hey y 'all, it's your boy
- 0:16Socrates here by myself. And this is a new segment
- 0:20called Socrates' Philosophies and Hypotheses.
- 0:24So yeah, I really love that song, Triumph, from
- 0:27the Wu -Tang Clan. I actually played that song
- 0:32at my wedding. It was my walk -in song and it
- 0:34was the same for my son. Anyway, so this is a
- 0:37little quick segment of where I just kind of
- 0:40drop some deep philosophical shit on y 'all.
- 0:43I'd love to hear you guys get involved. I'd love
- 0:47to hear your opinion about it. I'd love to hear,
- 0:49you know, pushback or whatever. You guys can
- 0:53always email me at thebullbrotherhood at gmail
- 0:57.com. Or you can always look us up on Telegram
- 1:00or all the other social media sites under the
- 1:03Bull Brotherhood. For X, it's Brotherhood without
- 1:06the E at the end for ER. So anyway, today we're
- 1:10going to talk about ethics and strategic ethics.
- 1:13And the reason why we're talking about this is
- 1:16because I was, me and my wife were invited actually
- 1:20to teach at a lifestyle place. They actually
- 1:25decided not to have us because they felt like
- 1:29we were too ethical. And I was like, wow, you
- 1:32know, and I've been known as the guy with ethics.
- 1:35Does that mean I'm perfect? That means I'm the
- 1:37most righteous guy on the planet? Absolutely
- 1:38not. But I just felt like people are misunderstanding
- 1:41what ethics means. And I think that I wanted
- 1:46to just kind of share my perspective on it. Something
- 1:49really quick. We're going to go with three basic
- 1:52fundamentals of ethics, what ethics is, and why
- 1:56I think ethics is important. So one, let me say
- 1:58what ethics is not, in my opinion especially.
- 2:01Ethics is not right and wrong, good or bad. I
- 2:05remember when I first got into this lifestyle
- 2:07and I was asking one of my mentors about hearing
- 2:10stories of so many cuckold couples that started
- 2:14off with someone cheating. The way, you know,
- 2:19it transpired with those two people not being
- 2:22able to communicate with each other or not really
- 2:24understanding themselves or not doing self -examination
- 2:27or not. A lot of times cheating for men is just
- 2:31a, you know, it's a situation of an opportunity
- 2:34that presents itself. Right. But, you know, I
- 2:37was really judgmental about that back then. And
- 2:40my mentor was like, man, you don't know the circumstances
- 2:43of how that worked out. You don't know the things
- 2:47surrounding it. And, you know, I was really judgmental
- 2:51back then, I have to admit. But what I realize
- 2:54is that ethics is not about right and wrong.
- 2:56It's not about judging a couple. So if you've
- 2:58done anything that, you know, we're going to
- 3:01say is unethical or not right, we're not saying
- 3:05that you're wrong. We're not saying that every
- 3:07time you do X, Y, and Z, you're going to get
- 3:09A, B, and C result. What ethics is, first I want
- 3:12to talk about what ethics is. Ethics are a set
- 3:15of... morals or principles or code of conduct,
- 3:18that does one thing. It increases your chances
- 3:23to get positive results. I'm going to say that
- 3:26again. Ethics are the codes or code of conduct
- 3:31or principles that you live by that increases
- 3:34your chances of getting the results you want
- 3:36and decreases your chances of things turning
- 3:40out wrong. So does that mean that there isn't
- 3:43a lot of cuckold couples, for example, and other
- 3:46couples that start off where one person is cheating
- 3:49and a lot of times that cheating ends up breaking
- 3:54open a conversation that the couple didn't know
- 3:57how to have before then, then that it turns out
- 4:02later on that everything works out great, they
- 4:04get into the lifestyle or they get into cuckolding
- 4:06and they realize that, you know, That was just
- 4:12a really difficult icebreaker to have a really
- 4:16good conversation. My thing is, if you don't
- 4:19want to have an upfront conversation with that
- 4:21person, I'm not here to judge you on that. What
- 4:23I am here to say is, as many stories as you hear,
- 4:27it turns out right, you'll hear way more stories
- 4:29where it turns out wrong. You'll hear way more
- 4:32stories of people feeling betrayed, people feeling
- 4:35like they can't trust that person anymore. So
- 4:38ethics, strategic ethics. is about a framework
- 4:43of ethics, of a way of stacking the deck in your
- 4:46favor, right? This is about understanding that
- 4:48every ethical choice is like a move in a game
- 4:50that increases your odds of success and respect
- 4:54in ethical non -monogamy space. So we have a
- 4:58code of conduct between me and my wife, and it's
- 5:01not about right and wrong, good and bad. For
- 5:03example, you know, we always play with condoms,
- 5:06or if we don't... We're going to have a conversation.
- 5:09We're going to make sure that person has a good
- 5:11protocol to take care of themselves. That's ethical.
- 5:15We always have these open conversations with
- 5:18people. We think that's ethics. Now, does that
- 5:21make us better than anybody else? Absolutely
- 5:23not. What it does do is it decreases my chances
- 5:25of getting STIs. When I communicate with people,
- 5:29if I meet you at a club or a hotel takeover and
- 5:32you don't have a wedding ring on. I'm not going
- 5:36to ask you or interrogate you on whether or not
- 5:39you're here, if your wife or significant other
- 5:42knows you're here. I'm not going to do that.
- 5:45What I'm going to do is I'm just going to assume
- 5:48that you're doing the right thing. But if it's
- 5:50in our face, we do step away from people who
- 5:53are cheating on their wives and their wives don't
- 5:55know. I even don't play with women or couples
- 5:58that say, well, my wife knows. What's going on?
- 6:01She's totally okay with it, but she doesn't want
- 6:03anything to do with it. That may be true, but
- 6:07the chances of that just being an excuse for
- 6:11you to get away with, you know, pulling BS is
- 6:15why I step away, right? Second principle we want
- 6:19to talk about is risk reduction, right? It really
- 6:23helps prevent you from high risk things like,
- 6:26you know, gossiping. Like telling other people's
- 6:30business, like, you know, doing things to get
- 6:36other people's public face out there without
- 6:38their permission. These things are not about
- 6:42right and wrong. It's about increasing your ability
- 6:44to operate well in this community. It's a small
- 6:47community. It's about avoiding the risks of what
- 6:51can happen when there's drama because of not
- 6:53being up front, when there's drama because. There's
- 6:56been confusion between the couple when there's
- 6:59drama, because if you're fluid bonded with someone
- 7:02else and you're not communicating that with other
- 7:04people and that person might want to play with
- 7:06you. So ethics is about just increasing your
- 7:11ability to succeed and decreasing the things
- 7:14you want to avoid in major drama. Right. And
- 7:17then the third thing I'll talk about is reputation
- 7:19currency. It emphasizes that in the Bull Brotherhood,
- 7:22we talk a lot about reputation as one of your
- 7:24biggest assets. In this community, I never forget
- 7:27the second hotel or third hotel takeover I went
- 7:31to, I found out there was a list of women, a
- 7:35group of women, my wife even has a group now,
- 7:37that women talk to each other and they talk about
- 7:41their experiences with other play partners. And
- 7:45they will give their assessments and they'll
- 7:47give their opinions. You know, what I like about
- 7:51the ones that I know about are the things that
- 7:53my wife talks about. They try to avoid talking
- 7:55shit about people, but they will definitely say
- 7:58if you're an unethical person, if you lie, if
- 8:01you don't, you know, if you're not upfront about
- 8:05things, if you are misrepresenting yourself,
- 8:08if you have somebody in your life that doesn't
- 8:10know or is not aware that you're doing this,
- 8:13these women will share that. On the other hand.
- 8:17You have women that share, oh, he's really good
- 8:19with play. He's honest. He's ethical. His wife
- 8:22is not involved, but she has left a voice memo
- 8:25or I've talked to her. You know, he's really
- 8:28open. He doesn't mind. Like for me, I get my
- 8:30wife involved in not every couple. You know,
- 8:34she's not involved in cuckold couples anymore.
- 8:36We've kind of adjusted the whole slut secretary
- 8:38thing. But I've gotten my wife involved in a
- 8:41lot of these things. And she is just there to
- 8:45kind of help me, you know. understand how things
- 8:47are working you know she's there to help me see
- 8:50things that i don't see she's there to help me
- 8:52avoid problems that i don't and i i like the
- 8:56fact that she can come in talk about things and
- 9:00explain things in a way that makes a lot of sense
- 9:04you know so that's really my little tick minute
- 9:07segment i'd love to talk more about this maybe
- 9:09we could do a whole episode but you know that's
- 9:13Socrates' Philosophies and Hypotheses. So my
- 9:16philosophy about ethical and being ethical. So
- 9:19look forward to this. I love your opinion and
- 9:23feedback on this. And we'll hear from you guys
- 9:26later. Take care.
