0:55
Speaker 3: Also now special Forces alone, right, yeah, say that you
1:00
Speaker 3: are in love Her from the Real Housewives of New
1:02
Speaker 3: Jersey and her husband Louis Ruias is now with us.
1:06
Speaker 1: Did I say that right?
1:06
Speaker 2: Yeah? You said it really good to make sure I
1:09
Speaker 2: got that right.
1:10
Speaker 1: Yeah, we just mean Louis Louie coming in hot today
1:12
Speaker 1: he was read ready to chat it up. Now I
1:14
Speaker 1: have to ask first and foremost, tell me the story.
1:17
Speaker 1: How did you all meet in the first place? How
1:19
Speaker 1: did that meeting? Please?
1:22
Speaker 4: Please we uh? I had taken my taking my company
1:28
Speaker 4: public on an Essex and I asked my assistant what
1:30
Speaker 4: do I do for this week? Because my other two
1:33
Speaker 4: partners said kids, they're married, and I was like, the
1:35
Speaker 4: single guy, a single parent, right, So she's like, go
1:38
Speaker 4: to the Jersey Shore. So rented house in Jersey.
1:39
Speaker 5: Shore, and let he's never been to the Jersey Shore.
1:42
Speaker 4: That was kid, you know, very little, but it wasn't,
1:46
Speaker 4: you know, normally a Jersey shot type of guy, right.
1:48
Speaker 4: So we I went down to the Jersey Shore, rented
1:50
Speaker 4: a house down there, and was there for a week.
1:52
Speaker 4: I went down on Saturday. I came back up to
1:55
Speaker 4: Wall Street on Thursday. And the next morning I was
1:58
Speaker 4: this is because I'll say, it's probably little better just
2:00
Speaker 4: singing my stoop was actually more runner then, but singing
2:04
Speaker 4: my stoop and I was like sad, you know, and
2:09
Speaker 4: because I just had it, like a really good moment
2:11
Speaker 4: in my life. And I was alone, you know, and
2:15
Speaker 4: my son comes touk to me. He's like, Dad, but
2:16
Speaker 4: you know, what's wrong, telling what's going on? And I'm like,
2:19
Speaker 4: let's pack up. We have the house for Saturday. It's
2:20
Speaker 4: Friday morning. Let's just go back to our house. We
2:23
Speaker 4: got pool there. We got our dogs there and it
2:26
Speaker 4: was raining. It was raining, you know, and so we
2:28
Speaker 4: so I decided to So we're just having a little
2:30
Speaker 4: moment there, and then Teresa walked by with their two
2:33
Speaker 4: friends stuffy.
2:35
Speaker 6: That was extra like that was my exercise, my my morning,
2:39
Speaker 6: like you know, ritual that I would go, we will
2:41
Speaker 6: go exercise walk like walk.
2:44
Speaker 4: COVID walking, everybody walking, so like, So then we're sitting
2:47
Speaker 4: there in Teresa's friend you know, and I didn't.
2:50
Speaker 6: Even want to, aimy, I didn't want to go walking
2:52
Speaker 6: at that time. It was eleven thirty in the afternoon.
2:54
Speaker 6: I usually go walking like early in the morning because
2:57
Speaker 6: before it gets hot. And that day we were hungover.
3:01
Speaker 6: We went out the night before I drove back up north,
3:04
Speaker 6: so I was hungover that morning.
3:06
Speaker 5: And then and then my friends are forcing me.
3:08
Speaker 6: They're like, come on, let's come on. It's rainy, it's cloudy, like,
3:11
Speaker 6: let's just go. And I'm like, not now, it's eleven thirty, crazy,
3:14
Speaker 6: it's too hot. Now I'm like I'm not going walking,
3:16
Speaker 6: and they come on, let's go. So sometimes I just
3:18
Speaker 6: wanted the viewers to know sometimes when you don't want
3:21
Speaker 6: to do something, that's when magic happens.
3:24
Speaker 1: Yeah, she's walking by, walking.
3:27
Speaker 4: By her friends. Her friend waves in some sort.
3:31
Speaker 6: Of well, I was pointing at his car. I tell
3:33
Speaker 6: you the exactly I said. My story never changes. He
3:36
Speaker 6: had a white rain drover with black rims, and I
3:38
Speaker 6: was just pointing. I'm like, oh, that guy has my
3:40
Speaker 6: car because I just got.
3:42
Speaker 5: Rid of mine. And then I guess when I pointed,
3:44
Speaker 5: he thought I waved.
3:46
Speaker 6: And then and then that's when my friends said, I'm
3:48
Speaker 6: gonna go talk my married friend. So it was my
3:51
Speaker 6: married friend and then meat and my other friend were single.
3:53
Speaker 6: So my married friend's like, I want to go talk
3:55
Speaker 6: to him, you know, talked to him for me either
3:57
Speaker 6: me or my friend Rosanna, you know. And then she
4:00
Speaker 6: went to go talk to him, and she was talking
4:03
Speaker 6: to him and then keep going sure yeah, I like.
4:08
Speaker 1: Yeah, I like that.
4:09
Speaker 4: So it's just so so so her friend, uh says,
4:14
Speaker 4: come over and talk. So we I went walked across
4:16
Speaker 4: the street. It was like they had the medium with
4:18
Speaker 4: grass whatever. So went over started talking to them a
4:20
Speaker 4: little bit. When my son walked to my son, I
4:22
Speaker 4: was all disheveled from just running, and uh, I had
4:26
Speaker 4: two business cards on me. We're just chatting a little bit.
4:28
Speaker 4: I didn't really know who you were, you know. Of
4:30
Speaker 4: course I knewho she was afterwards, because then you you know,
4:32
Speaker 4: you're googling everybody real fast, you know. And so yeah,
4:37
Speaker 4: again two business cards and uh that was really it,
4:40
Speaker 4: you know, just said whatever. You know. She's like, if
4:42
Speaker 4: I want to call you a text you, I'll reach
4:44
Speaker 4: out to you and whatever. So I'm like, okay, whatever.
4:45
Speaker 4: So we walked back packed up the cars, get to
4:48
Speaker 4: the get in the car. My son's like that, do
4:49
Speaker 4: you know who you were just talking to? Like no,
4:51
Speaker 4: they shows his phone whatever. So then I walked, I drove.
4:54
Speaker 4: We're driving past her on the way out and because
4:57
Speaker 4: it's like one way in, one way out of that area,
4:59
Speaker 4: and she and I said, Teresa, my son was, you know,
5:02
Speaker 4: just break up my chops because I didn't ask for
5:04
Speaker 4: your number, and she's like, long story short, She's like, listen,
5:06
Speaker 4: Ivan to talk to you. I'll reach out to you.
5:09
Speaker 4: So ab an hour and a half right home about.
5:10
Speaker 6: That, was embarrassed to give my number. His son was
5:13
Speaker 6: right there with his girlfriend. So I was like, I
5:15
Speaker 6: have your card, I'll text you.
5:18
Speaker 4: So about a half hour later, she texted me and
5:21
Speaker 4: you know that night we talked for a long time.
5:22
Speaker 6: But the text set well, my friend took my married
5:25
Speaker 6: friend takes my phone and then it's so weird.
5:29
Speaker 5: A psychic told me I wasn't going to meet someone.
5:32
Speaker 5: This is what you do understanding.
5:33
Speaker 6: It was like so crazy, Like as we're walking with
5:35
Speaker 6: my friend, I look at my friend and that's one
5:38
Speaker 6: of my best friends, and I tell you, I said.
5:40
Speaker 5: Oh my god.
5:41
Speaker 6: The psychic told me I was meeting somebody, and and
5:45
Speaker 6: like it was just weird how he said he just
5:49
Speaker 6: took like I know, he said he was just on
5:51
Speaker 6: Wall Street. And the psychic told me that I was
5:54
Speaker 6: meeting somebody on Wall Street. It was so so Me
5:57
Speaker 6: and my friend start jumping up, like as we're like walking,
6:01
Speaker 6: we're walking, me and her jumping up and down and
6:04
Speaker 6: I'm like what, I'm like, this is so weird.
6:07
Speaker 5: And then she took my phone and then she's like,
6:09
Speaker 5: I'm texting him, and then she.
6:11
Speaker 4: Just texted him like she said, hi, Lewis. It was
6:13
Speaker 4: very nice to Lewis.
6:14
Speaker 5: You still have He's so great, he.
6:16
Speaker 6: Has everything, Like that's what I love about.
6:22
Speaker 4: It's very nice to meet you. This is my number.
6:24
Speaker 4: Teresa and then just went from there. They just went
6:26
Speaker 4: into like conversation.
6:27
Speaker 1: Wait a second, but that first text was not written
6:29
Speaker 1: by you.
6:29
Speaker 6: What was my girlfriend when that went up to him
6:33
Speaker 6: because I was in bars, like, yeah, I don't know.
6:36
Speaker 6: I'm not a good text I'm a phone person. Yeah
6:39
Speaker 6: I hate.
6:40
Speaker 1: So it started with a lie.
6:44
Speaker 5: Yeah so yeah no.
6:45
Speaker 6: And we talked that whole night and then the next day,
6:49
Speaker 6: like on the phone a friend with.
6:50
Speaker 4: Her friend was like I had like fifty questions like
6:53
Speaker 4: vetting me out.
6:54
Speaker 5: Yeah that night and I'm like, I'm like, he's never
6:56
Speaker 5: gonna call me again. I'm like, what do you like?
6:58
Speaker 6: She made me asking like fifty question I'm like, this
7:00
Speaker 6: guy's never called me again.
7:02
Speaker 5: But he liked that. And then the next night he asked.
7:04
Speaker 4: Me hold along, right, these questions like scrambled, You're like
7:08
Speaker 4: fried forgetting this or permission in a relationship and starting
7:12
Speaker 4: against all these different things, and we just connected.
7:14
Speaker 5: It was really cool you connected with her.
7:17
Speaker 2: But Louis, when your son googled her and you said
7:19
Speaker 2: you googled her later, were you like all in did
7:22
Speaker 2: you have concerns like wait, what am I getting myself into?
7:26
Speaker 4: It was I gotta be honest with you. I wasn't. I wasn't.
7:29
Speaker 4: I wasn't all in and it wasn't out of ego.
7:31
Speaker 4: It was out of like, you know, just my own words.
7:34
Speaker 4: It was like I already had like a couple, like
7:37
Speaker 4: you know, as everybody does a couple of hand grainade relationships,
7:39
Speaker 4: you know, not everyone. Not not blaming them, but like
7:43
Speaker 4: it was on both sides, you know, so nothing was perfect.
7:45
Speaker 4: And so I really wasn't ready for that because even
7:47
Speaker 4: like we talked for two nights and the next day
7:49
Speaker 4: I didn't call her, and she says, and then she
7:51
Speaker 4: calls me late that night, like around eleven thirty pm,
7:53
Speaker 4: and she said, you know this is interesting. You said
7:56
Speaker 4: to me, if you don't call me, I'm not gonna
7:59
Speaker 4: know if you like me or not. And I'm like,
8:00
Speaker 4: you know something, You're so right, listen, I'm damaged, and
8:02
Speaker 4: so like I don't I don't, I don't, you know,
8:05
Speaker 4: I don't want you to pay for someone else's mistakes
8:08
Speaker 4: or some other sh that I've been through. Let's let's
8:10
Speaker 4: you know you're right. So then from that day forward,
8:12
Speaker 4: we really yeah.
8:13
Speaker 6: Because I was like, I don't know if this guy's
8:15
Speaker 6: playing games, yeah, and I'm like, because we talked for
8:18
Speaker 6: two days and then he didn't call me a third
8:19
Speaker 6: in and I was like, but then he said to me,
8:21
Speaker 6: I didn't. He's like, well, you're Teresa Judai, so I
8:24
Speaker 6: didn't know if you were busy.
8:26
Speaker 5: You know.
8:26
Speaker 6: And I was like, no, I won't be too busy
8:28
Speaker 6: for you if you call me, you know. And then
8:31
Speaker 6: I said and I said to him, I said, I'm
8:34
Speaker 6: not going to you know, if you if you want
8:35
Speaker 6: to play games, I'm not the right I'm the wrong
8:37
Speaker 6: girl for you to play games with. I said it straight,
8:40
Speaker 6: and that was it. He never like that was it.
8:42
Speaker 6: After that, it was like.
8:43
Speaker 2: I loved it because a lot of girls, a lot
8:45
Speaker 2: of women would be like he didn't call me and
8:47
Speaker 2: then just freak out and then be done with it
8:50
Speaker 2: because they're too afraid of getting hurt or too afraid
8:52
Speaker 2: of getting played. I love that you just directly called
8:55
Speaker 2: him and said what's going on?
8:57
Speaker 5: Yeah?
8:58
Speaker 6: Yeah, because I was just like, I'm not going to play,
9:00
Speaker 6: you know. I'm like, that's fine if you don't, you know, yeah,
9:03
Speaker 6: Like I just I'm just the wrong girl to play
9:05
Speaker 6: any games with, you know.
9:06
Speaker 4: Yeah. And then I told you, I'm like I look,
9:08
Speaker 4: I don't want to be hurt. I'm in a vulmble
9:10
Speaker 4: state right now. I was full time parent with two
9:13
Speaker 4: kids my oldest says autism, and I was a full
9:15
Speaker 4: time parent, so I was I already went through something
9:18
Speaker 4: that I didn't want to go through again. And then
9:20
Speaker 4: you know, then that whole day I was reading about you.
9:22
Speaker 4: My neighbors are you know who would just throw me
9:24
Speaker 4: like a little party for doing something in my company.
9:27
Speaker 4: I was like, they were like, you know, be careful,
9:28
Speaker 4: it is you know who. So like, like, you're like
9:32
Speaker 4: what I loved about your your guys story. I don't
9:34
Speaker 4: mean to flip the script. You leaned into love, right,
9:37
Speaker 4: I leaned, Yeah you did, and and I I you
9:42
Speaker 4: know when when you said that to me, that was
9:44
Speaker 4: like that was like a define moment of relationship, or
9:46
Speaker 4: even the beginning, because I'm like, you're you're not going
9:48
Speaker 4: to play games, you don't want to play games, but
9:49
Speaker 4: you're not also not You're also there to show up,
9:51
Speaker 4: you know, and it was kind of cool because I
9:54
Speaker 4: wanted to meet somebody amazing, and you know, in that moment,
9:57
Speaker 4: it was it was, you know, it just got better
9:59
Speaker 4: and better. You know, COVID dating was like walking, you know,
10:01
Speaker 4: so we would walk all the time, you know, just
10:04
Speaker 4: walk around. Remember the first time I kissed you, we
10:05
Speaker 4: were out walking and I said, hey, do you know
10:07
Speaker 4: anybody around here? It was, you know, playing that little
10:09
Speaker 4: move right, and she's like, no, I know anybody around here?
10:11
Speaker 4: And I kissed her. She goes, yeah, but they all
10:13
Speaker 4: know me. I'm like, not like that, you know, like
10:16
Speaker 4: I didn't get it. I just I was so naive
10:18
Speaker 4: to TV the show.
10:20
Speaker 5: I was like, oh my gosh, everybody was. I'm like, no,
10:23
Speaker 5: I was trying to keep him on the down low.
10:25
Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah. And then then like like maybe like
10:29
Speaker 4: two months later, three months later, because you know, it
10:31
Speaker 4: took about three months to get like even closely intimate
10:34
Speaker 4: any on any level. I'm like, I'm like, you want
10:37
Speaker 4: to want to travel a little bit, and you know,
10:39
Speaker 4: let's let's go away. My brother's in Florida, you know,
10:41
Speaker 4: so I got to I read it a private jet.
10:43
Speaker 4: I took her friend as like a security blanket for
10:46
Speaker 4: you too, you know, like you got a friend there, brother.
10:49
Speaker 4: But then we're down there and she's like, people are
10:51
Speaker 4: gonna know me down here. I'm like, no, no, it's
10:53
Speaker 4: Florida now. And we get there and I'm like, and
10:55
Speaker 4: she's like that you guys are hiding in the hallways
10:57
Speaker 4: because I didn't.
10:58
Speaker 5: Want to anyone a picture because then they were going
11:01
Speaker 5: to post it.
11:01
Speaker 4: I didn't know the whole picture thing. I didn't have
11:03
Speaker 4: social media. I had Facebook for my kids. I had
11:05
Speaker 4: no Instagram. I didn't know. I didn't get it. I didn't.
11:08
Speaker 5: He really didn't. He didn't understand.
11:11
Speaker 4: Sometimes how these shows that like my wife's son, it's like,
11:14
Speaker 4: you know, and I don't mean to say this in
11:17
Speaker 4: regards to any particular guy, but a lot of them
11:20
Speaker 4: like they you know, I've noticed that they are very invested.
11:24
Speaker 4: And I was like, I didn't. I didn't that wasn't important.
11:26
Speaker 4: I had my own means, you know. I was cool,
11:28
Speaker 4: and I really was like I was like, it was
11:30
Speaker 4: like it was one foot here being a dad and
11:33
Speaker 4: a parent, and the other in protecting myself and the
11:36
Speaker 4: other side was like, you know, testing a new relationship
11:39
Speaker 4: and finding love. But yeah, like I went on a
11:41
Speaker 4: show and I wasn't. I wasn't prepared for the show,
11:44
Speaker 4: what they would say, how they would gamify little scenes
11:47
Speaker 4: that like six months later it comes out and you're like,
11:50
Speaker 4: what the hell. I didn't know that, you know, like.
11:52
Speaker 6: And yah, I didn't know Amy, Like I didn't know,
11:55
Speaker 6: Like I didn't know that people were going to hurt
11:58
Speaker 6: my husband like that like they did on my you know,
12:01
Speaker 6: my house was in New Jurse. I didn't know that,
12:03
Speaker 6: because if I knew that, I would have warned him,
12:06
Speaker 6: Like I did not know.
12:08
Speaker 5: I don't, like, huh you did?
12:09
Speaker 4: You kept saying to me, make sure you watch the show.
12:11
Speaker 6: I said to him, watched the show because he's really smart.
12:15
Speaker 5: You know, I'm just saying.
12:16
Speaker 6: Nobody to the reason why I say he's so smart,
12:18
Speaker 6: because not just anybody could take their public you know.
12:21
Speaker 5: So I know he's a smart man. So I said
12:23
Speaker 5: to him, watch the show.
12:24
Speaker 6: But when he didn't understand to watch, he didn't watch
12:27
Speaker 6: the show.
12:28
Speaker 4: Now I watched the show, and the kids like laugh
12:30
Speaker 4: at me all the time when when I mean, we
12:31
Speaker 4: don't talk about this anymore. But like, like I did
12:34
Speaker 4: watch the show. I skip cheeseburgers. We'd go in our
12:36
Speaker 4: living room because I have my two sons, and I'd
12:38
Speaker 4: be like, I'm like, oh my god, that's research. I
12:40
Speaker 4: can't believe. Like I'm dating this woman's that's on TV.
12:42
Speaker 4: You know, I didn't pick up on all the you know,
12:45
Speaker 4: the heat seky missiles that are going.
12:46
Speaker 5: On all the whole, like you know all this watch
12:50
Speaker 5: to like study the show. What's actually happening? Yeah, like
12:54
Speaker 5: you know the you know what I mean, Yes, woman,
12:56
Speaker 5: I know exactly, she exactly.
12:58
Speaker 6: I didn't know either though, See I just said to
13:01
Speaker 6: him because I just want him to repare himself for
13:04
Speaker 6: I didn't even know that they were going to do
13:06
Speaker 6: what they did to him. I really didn't because like then,
13:09
Speaker 6: I remember the.
13:09
Speaker 4: First time we were filming, I went to go film
13:11
Speaker 4: with when she's like I started filming with her. They
13:13
Speaker 4: wanted to do a date night, and you know, her
13:15
Speaker 4: brother's on the show, you know, And I'm not here
13:17
Speaker 4: saying bad about the guy, because it's just, you know,
13:19
Speaker 4: there's there's we really haven't yet had our time to
13:22
Speaker 4: grow as brother in laws. You know, Like that's unfortunate,
13:24
Speaker 4: you know, but that's just the way life is. But
13:26
Speaker 4: I remember one time we were filming and and I
13:29
Speaker 4: was just eating, just getting into eating, and everybody, you
13:32
Speaker 4: know that look back down. Everybody was very well prepared
13:34
Speaker 4: for like what could come next. You know what this
13:37
Speaker 4: guy could say. That guy could say that it's a
13:39
Speaker 4: it's a gamification, right, And then he came at me
13:42
Speaker 4: in one scene and I was like, so take it back.
13:44
Speaker 4: I'm like, what are you doing?
13:45
Speaker 2: Man?
13:45
Speaker 4: Like you're just at our house on a sudden m pasta, Like,
13:47
Speaker 4: what's what's going on here? You know, like because that's
13:49
Speaker 4: how that show is here?
13:52
Speaker 6: No, I know, but I didn't know, because like it's
13:54
Speaker 6: it's not fair. Some people say to me like they knew,
13:58
Speaker 6: you know, he knew what he was signing up for.
14:00
Speaker 5: I'm like, no, he did not. I didn't even know.
14:02
Speaker 5: Guys I swore, like I did not know they were
14:05
Speaker 5: gonna hurt her. I'm so in love.
14:07
Speaker 4: I mean love you like you walk out a restaurant
14:11
Speaker 4: and the first time we got a wet ye just
14:15
Speaker 4: like he was always like I was at two thirty
14:17
Speaker 4: fifth rooftop.
14:19
Speaker 1: I'm like, no, we're cool.
14:20
Speaker 5: I get a phone and anti uster, no one's taking
14:24
Speaker 5: our picture.
14:24
Speaker 2: We're fine.
14:24
Speaker 5: We can totally let loose next day pictures everywhere. I'm like, dang,
14:28
Speaker 5: I should have listened to you.
14:30
Speaker 6: Oh yeah, Like they called me, They're like, there's no
14:32
Speaker 6: way you're getting out. Of this place, like they're going
14:34
Speaker 6: to get your picture now, I'm.
14:37
Speaker 4: Crazy, I do.
14:38
Speaker 5: I said to him, just smile, follow smile. I'm like,
14:44
Speaker 5: just smile.
14:45
Speaker 4: I'm like, what do I like. I'm like, okay, I'm
14:47
Speaker 4: just gonna touch your face and touch your face.
14:50
Speaker 5: I'm like, just smile. Follow my lead. Whatever I do,
14:53
Speaker 5: you just do And that's it.
15:04
Speaker 2: Did it test your relationship? Did it bring you closer together?
15:07
Speaker 2: How did it impact? I mean you all just to
15:09
Speaker 2: be thrust into this world and to have a lot
15:12
Speaker 2: of incoming that can usually do one of two things.
15:15
Speaker 6: I mean, thank god, like we are good, Like thank
15:19
Speaker 6: god we were solid because it like me and him
15:23
Speaker 6: we get along amazing, like not gonna one right. And
15:27
Speaker 6: it's like it was just the outside noise with us
15:30
Speaker 6: that were trying to break us up, like all the
15:32
Speaker 6: outside know with the show and everything.
15:35
Speaker 5: And like trying to hurt him and.
15:38
Speaker 4: Me.
15:38
Speaker 5: I want to like I'm a protective mode, like please
15:41
Speaker 5: like leave him alone.
15:43
Speaker 6: He did nothing, like I know how he is with me.
15:45
Speaker 6: I know how he choose my daughters. So that's why
15:47
Speaker 6: I was so like, That's why I was the.
15:49
Speaker 5: Way I was on the show.
15:50
Speaker 1: You mentioned the external noise. But what about on your
15:53
Speaker 1: inner circle? Who are the folks saying to you don't
15:56
Speaker 1: do this? Who are folks saying to you don't do this?
16:00
Speaker 4: Pretty big company and a lot of you know, by
16:02
Speaker 4: seven hundred employees, three partners, you know, we build something
16:05
Speaker 4: pretty amazing together a little by little, you know, over
16:07
Speaker 4: like twenty years. And my partner flies up, it's like,
16:10
Speaker 4: I need to want to take you and Louis out
16:11
Speaker 4: to lunch. And I'm like, oh, here comes right the advice,
16:13
Speaker 4: you know, the friend that's gonna give you the advice, Like, yo,
16:15
Speaker 4: you just got in the oven and you're going into
16:17
Speaker 4: the fire, am I? And then Louise, thank got My
16:19
Speaker 4: son's seriously, my son's like like, like, Joe, you don't understand.
16:23
Speaker 4: Like Teresa's different, you know, she we you know because
16:26
Speaker 4: at that it was just after you. You're like, I'm
16:28
Speaker 4: gonna come to your ass to make dinner for your family.
16:30
Speaker 4: So Teresa comes over and she's in the kitchen like
16:33
Speaker 4: she's a three two three New York Times best selling author,
16:35
Speaker 4: cookbook author, so she's and I'm just like, holy shit,
16:38
Speaker 4: she's banging it out in the kitchen. My mother's my
16:40
Speaker 4: mother's like this, my sister's a fan. I didn't know
16:43
Speaker 4: what I say. My dad have a Mexican dad is
16:45
Speaker 4: in the living room, like you know, like you know,
16:47
Speaker 4: just like who is this? Who is this? And a bunch?
16:48
Speaker 4: He's like, I know who she is. I'm like, I said,
16:51
Speaker 4: don't tell my father any thing. My father's like, you know.
16:53
Speaker 4: Then you put two and two together with the story
16:55
Speaker 4: of you and your ex husband, and that's where that
16:57
Speaker 4: kind of went.
16:58
Speaker 6: But you know, and at first I was divorced yet,
17:01
Speaker 6: and his mom said to him, she's not divorced, and
17:04
Speaker 6: I was like, I wasn't because I was.
17:05
Speaker 5: There was no rush.
17:06
Speaker 6: He left the country, so I was like, I did
17:08
Speaker 6: it wasn't divorced yet, So then I had to get divorced,
17:11
Speaker 6: and that I was quick.
17:12
Speaker 5: Because did you get divorced?
17:13
Speaker 2: Because it was the right thing to do because you
17:15
Speaker 2: were in a new relationship, right, I.
17:17
Speaker 6: Mean, I was gonna get divorced, but there was no
17:19
Speaker 6: rush because I wasn't with anyone.
17:21
Speaker 5: So then when I met him right away, I did it.
17:24
Speaker 5: I mean it was quick.
17:25
Speaker 4: It was my dad. I meanstill a quick story of
17:27
Speaker 4: my dad is really cool, Like my dad who I
17:29
Speaker 4: didn't grow up too close to right. I went to
17:32
Speaker 4: him and he's like, you gotta be careful like a dad.
17:34
Speaker 4: She's very different. She's not she's not she's not like
17:36
Speaker 4: everybody else. She's like if she was, she'd be such
17:39
Speaker 4: a you know, because when you're a TV and you
17:41
Speaker 4: got fame and you had all that celebritiness whatever youone
17:43
Speaker 4: call it, all that public figure stuff, you know, you
17:45
Speaker 4: could just be very different and titled.
17:47
Speaker 2: You know.
17:48
Speaker 4: And he's like, you know what, then you lean into
17:50
Speaker 4: that and you love her and you just you you
17:53
Speaker 4: take it. And you know, because I started taking a
17:55
Speaker 4: lot in the beginning, you know, and yeah, getting ridiculed,
17:59
Speaker 4: getting judge, to getting criticized. You know, anybody can make
18:03
Speaker 4: up a story that I was at Lama's running through
18:04
Speaker 4: my living room and they believe it, right, you know,
18:08
Speaker 4: and so so like it was, it was, you know,
18:10
Speaker 4: thank you, and so that's that's how that went. But
18:15
Speaker 4: you know, I I and and eventually I started saying
18:19
Speaker 4: to myself, maybe maybe inside of like nine months to
18:20
Speaker 4: a year, I said, wow, I recognized who she was
18:23
Speaker 4: as a person, as a mother, what she meant to
18:26
Speaker 4: be at that moment. And I'm like, man, I'm gonna go.
18:27
Speaker 4: I'm I'm I'm gonna fight for her even if I start,
18:30
Speaker 4: because it started happy to me lose, Like I lost
18:33
Speaker 4: a lot of stuff in my life, you know, my
18:34
Speaker 4: business and a lot of hits here there. My board
18:37
Speaker 4: fired me because they because of being in the public eye.
18:40
Speaker 4: And I'm like, yo, you don't understand, and you give me,
18:41
Speaker 4: you say the if we're we're alike. We you know,
18:44
Speaker 4: take our on vacation and some dude walk over, Hey, man,
18:46
Speaker 4: while you were sleeping, there's a guy in a towel
18:47
Speaker 4: over there, and I'm like, holy, they're so like off
18:50
Speaker 4: putting for me, Like I did not want to be
18:52
Speaker 4: famous and I want to be on TV. I was
18:54
Speaker 4: just like really happy I met a woman that like,
18:57
Speaker 4: like was that was the I was, you know, you
18:59
Speaker 4: know like even the your in relationships, you could be
19:01
Speaker 4: alone in those relationships. Yes, and this is it's albody's fault.
19:04
Speaker 4: It's just reality, right. So she she she like taught
19:09
Speaker 4: me how to like she she made it safe to
19:12
Speaker 4: love and not be judged, because you know, sometimes partners
19:16
Speaker 4: of relationships weaponize that you know, you love too hard,
19:19
Speaker 4: you love the red flags out of somebody and I
19:21
Speaker 4: just I just she was just perfect.
19:23
Speaker 2: You know, honestly, how long before you knew like this,
19:28
Speaker 2: this chaos probably started pretty quickly. How long before you
19:31
Speaker 2: knew I'm going to ask this woman to marry me?
19:34
Speaker 4: It was I mean we met in we met in July,
19:37
Speaker 4: and then we went through our first Christmas together, which
19:40
Speaker 4: you know, I'm like, mom, Dad Tretes once have over
19:42
Speaker 4: Christmas and it was we go in the house. I'm like, damn,
19:45
Speaker 4: you was really no balloon you know, she balloon person
19:47
Speaker 4: who's like a thousand balloons, And it was like wow, right,
19:51
Speaker 4: like so and there's these gifts in all this, and
19:54
Speaker 4: it was it was, uh, it was probably that winter,
19:58
Speaker 4: the curve of the year we went away from, you eve,
20:01
Speaker 4: the curve of the year that like, you know, like
20:03
Speaker 4: I didn't want to waste time. I was, you know,
20:05
Speaker 4: I was in a phase I was had the ability
20:08
Speaker 4: at that time to take a break from work. Worked
20:11
Speaker 4: really hard, you know, like had an exit of a
20:13
Speaker 4: company and still you know, has some residuals coming back
20:15
Speaker 4: from that. So I was like, let me just you know,
20:17
Speaker 4: like let's let me just let me just make this amazing,
20:22
Speaker 4: you know, And and you know, I wasn't really present
20:24
Speaker 4: in a lot of my relationships. It's funny. I'm just
20:26
Speaker 4: driving my son. He was just asked me out his
20:27
Speaker 4: mom and I was like something, don't you know, don't
20:29
Speaker 4: ever blame mom, you know, like you know you because
20:32
Speaker 4: he idolizes me, and like blame your dad too, but
20:34
Speaker 4: don't blame me, you know, like, don't don't grow up
20:36
Speaker 4: being mad at your parents. You know, just understand that.
20:39
Speaker 4: Like we're all we all work with what we know
20:42
Speaker 4: at the time, you know. So yeah, so it was,
20:46
Speaker 4: you know, and I still I still get uncomfortable when
20:49
Speaker 4: people are are you know, the being in the public eye.
20:51
Speaker 4: It's very it's very it's very intrusive, you know. And
20:55
Speaker 4: when i'm Malania protects me a lot. Come on, who
20:57
Speaker 4: you stay with me? You know, like she'll always grab
20:58
Speaker 4: my arm. We're just in Madrid like last week, and
21:01
Speaker 4: you know, for a work event, and you know, she's
21:03
Speaker 4: you know, but the girls have been amazing, you know,
21:06
Speaker 4: she's she's incredible.
21:07
Speaker 1: But is there going to be more of that to come?
21:09
Speaker 1: I mean, obviously we have to ask this for the fans.
21:11
Speaker 1: Are you all going to be back in the public
21:14
Speaker 1: eye on the show again? In some way. Where's the show?
21:17
Speaker 1: What's the status of the show.
21:19
Speaker 5: I don't know.
21:20
Speaker 6: I mean, we're waiting for Bravo to make a decision.
21:23
Speaker 6: That's where we're we're at.
21:25
Speaker 5: It's Bravo's decision to make.
21:26
Speaker 6: Yes, Yeah, they call the shots. Yeah, so whatever they say,
21:31
Speaker 6: if they want me back, you know, I'm willing to
21:33
Speaker 6: go back.
21:36
Speaker 5: You know, it's you know, it is I mean. And
21:38
Speaker 5: then I even said to him, I'm like, it's you know,
21:40
Speaker 5: if we don't and if I get asked back, who knows.
21:43
Speaker 5: I'm like, do you want me to go back?
21:44
Speaker 6: And he's like, whatever you want to do, Like, you know,
21:47
Speaker 6: just because you know, it was very ugly, and it
21:51
Speaker 6: was you know, they were trying to instead of they
21:53
Speaker 6: were coming after me.
21:54
Speaker 5: They wanted to hurt me. Instead of hurting me, they
21:56
Speaker 5: went after him to hurt me.
21:58
Speaker 3: You know.
21:58
Speaker 6: And when you say that, you mean of your own family,
22:02
Speaker 6: Well my cast members, Yes, my cast members.
22:04
Speaker 5: If you watch the show, you'll see it.
22:06
Speaker 1: Yes, yes, how are those relationships at this moment?
22:11
Speaker 6: Well, my brother I and my sister in law. I'm
22:15
Speaker 6: not speaking too, but I did reach out and I said,
22:19
Speaker 6: because you know, what time does heal all wounds, and
22:22
Speaker 6: you know, when time goes by, you forget things. So
22:25
Speaker 6: I'm just like, you know, g and I want Special Forces.
22:28
Speaker 6: We you know, we spent a lot of time before
22:30
Speaker 6: we actually started Special Forces, and we talked a lot
22:34
Speaker 6: about a lot of things. So I want to be
22:37
Speaker 6: a good example for my children. I have four daughters,
22:40
Speaker 6: and like I don't want them to ever say you know,
22:41
Speaker 6: I always I always tell them, like I always want
22:44
Speaker 6: you guys to get along. Please always be there for
22:46
Speaker 6: each other. I know you guys are going to marry
22:48
Speaker 6: other people, but always put you. You know, your your
22:52
Speaker 6: sister first or not first, but like always don't forget
22:55
Speaker 6: about your sister. Like, you know, be a family, be
22:59
Speaker 6: a beautiful family. Like if someone doesn't get along, just
23:02
Speaker 6: be the bigger person, try to make it work.
23:04
Speaker 5: Blah blah blah. So I can't, you know, I get
23:07
Speaker 5: to practice what I preach, right.
23:09
Speaker 6: So that's why with my brother, I reached out to him,
23:13
Speaker 6: and I mean I was, I put it out there,
23:15
Speaker 6: and because the only reason why I put it out
23:17
Speaker 6: there is Jeff Lewis asked me. So that's how the
23:19
Speaker 6: conversation started. So now I'm like, you know what, never
23:22
Speaker 6: say never, because before.
23:23
Speaker 5: I was just like absolutely not. I'm a Tian. I'm
23:26
Speaker 5: like very stubborn. I'm like it's never gonna happen.
23:30
Speaker 6: But now after like you know, time it's been over,
23:33
Speaker 6: I haven't really I would say my brother hasn't really
23:37
Speaker 6: been in my life. We've been married three years, but
23:39
Speaker 6: the drama started even before that.
23:42
Speaker 2: I was can you remember a time when you and
23:45
Speaker 2: Joe Melissa all got along.
23:48
Speaker 6: When I first met him, or my first Christmas they
23:51
Speaker 6: were at my house? Oh no, even when we moved
23:54
Speaker 6: into our house, that they came over that first Christmas
23:57
Speaker 6: when we moved into our house. So yes, So what
24:00
Speaker 6: how many years ago was that that Christmas we were together?
24:02
Speaker 6: And then that's so that was the last Christmas we
24:06
Speaker 6: had together with them?
24:07
Speaker 5: Twenty twenty one.
24:08
Speaker 1: Well, you say you reached out? Is there back and forth?
24:10
Speaker 1: Is there?
24:10
Speaker 2: Yeah?
24:11
Speaker 5: Yeah, so we're you know, I think we're gonna meet
24:14
Speaker 5: and like and speak.
24:26
Speaker 1: Listening to you all talk about the show. If Bravo
24:28
Speaker 1: called and said it's not coming back, would you all
24:32
Speaker 1: feel a stronger sense of disappointment or relief?
24:37
Speaker 6: I don't. I mean, it is what it is like, like, Okay,
24:41
Speaker 6: you know if they don't want me back, It's okay.
24:43
Speaker 6: If they want me back, I'll go back. It's I mean,
24:46
Speaker 6: I guess relief that the drama stop, you know, I
24:51
Speaker 6: guess obviously. But then I'm hoping I would love to
24:55
Speaker 6: go back and and hopefully that trauma wouldn't be as
25:00
Speaker 6: it was, just because you know, we all had a
25:03
Speaker 6: break and maybe people would change and do the right thing.
25:07
Speaker 6: And I don't know, just I will because you know,
25:09
Speaker 6: I get I've gotten how do you say the past? Yeah,
25:14
Speaker 6: since I've been on the show, people think I'm this
25:17
Speaker 6: person from watching me on Red Houses in New Jersey,
25:21
Speaker 6: always defending myself and they think I will take accountability
25:24
Speaker 6: and blah blah blah. And that's like they think they
25:26
Speaker 6: know me, but they really don't. I mean they're seeing,
25:29
Speaker 6: like again a clip it of like the hour show
25:32
Speaker 6: that they're putting out there. So I would love for
25:35
Speaker 6: everyone to really get to know the real Teresa, because
25:38
Speaker 6: like people that know me actually you know, they love me,
25:41
Speaker 6: and they're like, you're so different than how they show
25:44
Speaker 6: you on Housewives.
25:46
Speaker 1: You're kind of grinned. When I asked about relief or disappointment.
25:49
Speaker 4: I mean, you know, I have a different answer. I'm indifferent,
25:52
Speaker 4: and the reason why I'm in different would be in
25:53
Speaker 4: different because you know, Teresa, let's just say, you know,
25:57
Speaker 4: in reality started the show right, and you know it
25:59
Speaker 4: came to a halt because of a lot of a
26:02
Speaker 4: lot of gamifying on the show. There was a lot
26:04
Speaker 4: of jocking for positioning. There's a lot of like false
26:06
Speaker 4: things said and great narratives because as you guys know,
26:09
Speaker 4: like someone could say this today and a Monday and
26:11
Speaker 4: and you can't. It's very hard to change that narrative.
26:13
Speaker 4: So I've been living with this thing like he did this,
26:15
Speaker 4: he did and you know that's it. So I'm indifferent
26:18
Speaker 4: because I really wish that, you know, one she would
26:20
Speaker 4: go on her own terms too, she would be on
26:22
Speaker 4: a show that wouldn't have to live in in in
26:24
Speaker 4: being in defense all the time. I don't have you
26:26
Speaker 4: ever watched your swes is always defending herself and and
26:30
Speaker 4: not that you're always right, you know, and and that
26:32
Speaker 4: this is that's what I love about you, because you
26:34
Speaker 4: you I mean, one of the things I love about
26:36
Speaker 4: you is that you've You've grown. You're like, you're not
26:38
Speaker 4: afraid to grow. You've grown so much that you you
26:41
Speaker 4: can you take accountability inside of yourself, which probably would
26:45
Speaker 4: shock everybody, the viewers and the people on the show,
26:47
Speaker 4: because they you know, they they they position you that way,
26:50
Speaker 4: and you're you're you're such a you're You're like there's
26:53
Speaker 4: so much of you that people don't get a chance
26:55
Speaker 4: to see, you know, because it's it's a you know,
26:58
Speaker 4: it's a reality show. It's about you know, it's about ratings,
27:00
Speaker 4: it's about all that. But I wanted to say something
27:03
Speaker 4: in mine is that like ever since you know, I
27:07
Speaker 4: I've always been an advocate Foresa and her brother coming
27:11
Speaker 4: together and being being one, you know, and even after everything,
27:15
Speaker 4: and I've been through a lot of trust me everything,
27:18
Speaker 4: and I'm making this about me because I'm here just
27:20
Speaker 4: just like right now, you know, like you know, this
27:23
Speaker 4: is this is your deal, you know. I just I
27:26
Speaker 4: never get a chance to say this, and I've never
27:28
Speaker 4: I've been asked a million times do podcasts, and I'm like,
27:31
Speaker 4: you know, like he's just hate broccoli.
27:35
Speaker 5: So I'm like he did a podcast with me and
27:38
Speaker 5: and he would just we're just talking.
27:40
Speaker 6: That's why I'm like, I'm just saying it's like he
27:42
Speaker 6: doesn't even want this is the first time.
27:45
Speaker 4: It's really funny. We're drinking on as and she's like,
27:49
Speaker 4: I want my daughters to live. We didn't live like
27:56
Speaker 4: that was all taken out of complex but like but
27:58
Speaker 4: like I always from from from like day one, I've
28:02
Speaker 4: always remember when when if there was every little little
28:06
Speaker 4: friction with her brother in the beginning, and it's because
28:08
Speaker 4: of a TV show. If it's two families living in
28:10
Speaker 4: regular life, there is not that much function because there's
28:13
Speaker 4: always like jockeying who's better, who's not, And everybody could
28:15
Speaker 4: say whatever they want to say, but everybody, you know,
28:17
Speaker 4: it's it's being famous is like a drug, okay, and
28:20
Speaker 4: it's addicting and it feels good in the moment, right.
28:23
Speaker 4: But you know, from day one, I've always and people
28:26
Speaker 4: think the other opposite. I've always wanted you to be
28:28
Speaker 4: with your brother, as hard as it's been, as much
28:31
Speaker 4: stuff as I've been through, as much shit's been said
28:34
Speaker 4: or this or that and all the stuff that's happened.
28:37
Speaker 4: Like you know, when she reached out to her brother,
28:39
Speaker 4: I forget where you were when you did that, But
28:41
Speaker 4: like I was, like it was like so happy and
28:43
Speaker 4: relieved because you know, we need him in our lives
28:48
Speaker 4: because because life is too short. There's a lot of kids.
28:53
Speaker 4: There's four daughters, there's three kids over here, there's an
28:56
Speaker 4: ex husband that got deported. There there's a lot of trauma,
28:58
Speaker 4: a lot of feelings, you know, like there's a lot
29:00
Speaker 4: of stuff right and and having harmony would be what
29:05
Speaker 4: is really the only solution. I'm an outside I've been
29:07
Speaker 4: in Teresa's life almost six years, but like, like I
29:10
Speaker 4: like I firmly believe in that. So you know, I
29:14
Speaker 4: I welcome him back with open arms without even looking back,
29:17
Speaker 4: because you could you again, it's like it's life's too short.
29:21
Speaker 4: I just found out some shit about my dad, like
29:23
Speaker 4: a week ago. My dog just died. Like it was
29:27
Speaker 4: like you know, if you have pets, it's like you know,
29:30
Speaker 4: and it's just you know, as I'm fifty one years old,
29:32
Speaker 4: and as you get older, it's like, you know, you
29:34
Speaker 4: stop blaming. You start like you start you stop blaming that,
29:39
Speaker 4: you start stop making excuses, you start like just owning,
29:43
Speaker 4: you know, like and so we live like I've helped
29:46
Speaker 4: you live like that too, Because she would walk around
29:49
Speaker 4: like I'm like no, no, no, no, no, I know, yeah, Gabrielle,
29:53
Speaker 4: just here.
29:53
Speaker 5: There's more calmer because like hot headed.
29:58
Speaker 4: From a different lens, you know, because.
29:59
Speaker 5: Yeah, he dies, she's definitely calmed me down.
30:02
Speaker 4: Yeah, it's it's but it's it's again. What makes it
30:05
Speaker 4: even that much, What creates that storm is you know,
30:08
Speaker 4: a show and not saying that the show is bad,
30:11
Speaker 4: but instead of having you know, like like don't let
30:14
Speaker 4: it's like letting outside noise into your relationship. Yah, it's like,
30:16
Speaker 4: what's that going to do? You know, like and and
30:19
Speaker 4: you know you asked this question before. It's it's only
30:21
Speaker 4: made us stronger because that's as it has tested us.
30:24
Speaker 4: You know, you know I saw in you too, you
30:26
Speaker 4: would you would just like you just lean in. You know,
30:28
Speaker 4: it's like failing forward, right, but like you just go
30:30
Speaker 4: in deeper and deeper.
30:32
Speaker 5: And because it wasn't us, it was like the outside
30:34
Speaker 5: noise trying to hurt really.
30:36
Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, And if you can be a team together,
30:37
Speaker 2: which it looks like you have, that is the key
30:40
Speaker 2: to successfully This has been wonderful because truly, the people
30:44
Speaker 2: are the listeners of this podcast are all looking for
30:48
Speaker 2: what you two have and knowing that it can happen
30:51
Speaker 2: after one or several failed relationships that this is possible,
30:55
Speaker 2: and to hold on and to keep hope alive. Literally,
30:59
Speaker 2: this is a shining example of what is waiting for
31:02
Speaker 2: everyone if they're just willing to look forward and be
31:05
Speaker 2: patient enough.
31:06
Speaker 6: Yes, I mean if you want second time around, yeah,
31:10
Speaker 6: like put it out there and it definitely will happen.
31:14
Speaker 5: I mean I never knew.
31:15
Speaker 6: I didn't think I was going to get married again.
31:17
Speaker 6: I swear, I swear it wasn't even looking and it
31:20
Speaker 6: just happened, you know, because I was happy with myself first.
31:24
Speaker 6: That's very important, Like you have to be happy with yourself,
31:28
Speaker 6: be fulfilled with yourself before.
31:29
Speaker 5: You could be happy with someone else.
31:31
Speaker 6: So I remember I was just like living my life
31:33
Speaker 6: like you know, I had the girls and just happy
31:37
Speaker 6: with myself and then bang, and then he showed up.
31:40
Speaker 5: I swear like he showed up like I was walking by.
31:43
Speaker 5: People think I were.
31:44
Speaker 1: I mean, that's exactly almost almost want to call BS
31:48
Speaker 1: on that story. It's so unbelievable, I.
31:53
Speaker 4: Really do.
31:54
Speaker 5: Like, and that's the thing, Like he wasn't a Jersey
31:56
Speaker 5: Shore kind of guy.
31:57
Speaker 4: We didn't do anything but like kiss for like four months.
32:00
Speaker 4: People either, Yeah, it was like slow like I was.
32:04
Speaker 5: He didn't sleep at my house.
32:05
Speaker 6: I didn't sleep at his house because I had daughters,
32:07
Speaker 6: So I was like, you love that, and his son
32:10
Speaker 6: kept even asking him like that. Teresa never slept over,
32:13
Speaker 6: you know. And our first time was like in the city,
32:15
Speaker 6: we stay here. We got a hotel that I was like,
32:17
Speaker 6: it's going to have it.
32:18
Speaker 2: And I.
32:21
Speaker 1: I love that we we've said this.
32:22
Speaker 2: DJ told me he loved me before we ever even
32:24
Speaker 2: held hands.
32:25
Speaker 5: So I love that.
32:26
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, try to be professional.
32:31
Speaker 5: No, I love that. I love I love showing love.
32:35
Speaker 6: Yeah, I love like very we're both very affectionate, like
32:38
Speaker 6: my first husband wasn't and I was always the affectionate one.
32:41
Speaker 6: And then I'm like I found my person, Like I
32:44
Speaker 6: love being affectionate, like that's my thing, you know.
32:47
Speaker 4: And so is h you know.
32:48
Speaker 6: And he's like so romantic, like writes me poems. We
32:52
Speaker 6: give each other cards all the time, like my first
32:55
Speaker 6: husband never did that.
32:56
Speaker 1: Like I'm just like I just.
32:58
Speaker 5: Love he's my person.
33:00
Speaker 2: Yeah, And perspective is so everything, isn't it. And you
33:03
Speaker 2: only gain that through some wisdom that you've earned through experience.
33:06
Speaker 5: So that's what again this podcast is all about.
33:09
Speaker 6: Right, And if you're in a marriage that you're not happy, like,
33:13
Speaker 6: you know, you should go be happy, you know because
33:15
Speaker 6: sometimes like maybe the other person's not happy either and
33:18
Speaker 6: me and you should say something because you have one
33:20
Speaker 6: life to live and you want to live it the
33:22
Speaker 6: best way you know how, and go be happy and
33:25
Speaker 6: be in love and.
33:26
Speaker 1: All that I love it. This is not how this
33:30
Speaker 1: is always turned into a therapy. Every single podcast we
33:33
Speaker 1: do turns into some type of therapy and we feel
33:35
Speaker 1: better afterwards. But folks, are you ready to find love again?
