- 0:36Speaker 4: I haven't found much success in the United States dating,
- 0:40Speaker 4: so I came over to Lisbon and I'm in love
- 0:42Speaker 4: with this country.
- 0:43Speaker 1: In love, no man, no man yet still no. Oh,
- 0:47Speaker 1: you know, there's lots of them.
- 0:48Speaker 4: But I'm with my daughter and let me just say,
- 0:51Speaker 4: all the eyes are on her. But in course fabulous.
- 0:55Speaker 4: It's beautiful, the weather's fabulous, Tomorrow's and beach today.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Love, love, love, love this country. What about you, John,
- 1:01Speaker 1: what are you up to? Gosh?
- 1:02Speaker 3: You know it's a kind of rainy and gross here
- 1:04Speaker 3: right now. But getting on a plane same as Susan.
- 1:07Speaker 3: Tomorrow We're headed to nap Off for I have fun plants,
- 1:12Speaker 3: just for a weekend. It's not like you staying in
- 1:14Speaker 3: the United States. But I'm really looking forward to it.
- 1:17Speaker 1: John. Do you think we're going to have some good wine? Yeah? Thanks, Susan.
- 1:21Speaker 4: Rub it in okay, So I have one more thing
- 1:23Speaker 4: to ask a hair By the way, I was supposed
- 1:26Speaker 4: to be on that trip, but I did op for Lisbon.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Over well, Portugal is Portugal.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Let's just say I chose port wine over I chose
- 1:37Speaker 4: port Wine over red Lappa. Okay, Susan real quick question here. Yeah,
- 1:44Speaker 4: your hair. You know I follow you and your haircuts.
- 1:47Speaker 4: What are you doing with your hair?
- 1:48Speaker 2: Yes, Kathy, I gave myself a haircut yesterday. You just
- 1:51Speaker 2: said it looked long, and I just cut it last night.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Your highlights are so cool. I love them. I've never
- 1:57Speaker 3: seen you with like highlights up in front like that.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Many thanks, I love it. You know, it's funny.
- 2:01Speaker 2: I was reading some of the comments from the people
- 2:03Speaker 2: you know, and some lady. Most people like it. Some
- 2:06Speaker 2: lady goes, I wish you never changed your dark hair.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Two toned hair is not in. It doesn't look good
- 2:13Speaker 2: on you.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Did you look at her picture to see what she
- 2:15Speaker 3: looks like?
- 2:16Speaker 1: I don't even bother anymore.
- 2:17Speaker 4: We got to get into this episode because here's what
- 2:20Speaker 4: never changes. Yes, if there is one thing for sure,
- 2:25Speaker 4: it's the divorce. Haircuts changed, hair color changes, but divorce
- 2:31Speaker 4: never stops.
- 2:33Speaker 1: You know you think you have it bad?
- 2:34Speaker 4: Ladies, wait till you hear what some of these celebs
- 2:39Speaker 4: are going through in their chapter two?
- 2:41Speaker 1: Are you ready to get into it?
- 2:43Speaker 3: I'm ready and I can talk talking about Jessica Simpsons.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Jessica Simpson shares her side of run in with ex
- 2:49Speaker 3: husband Nick Lache. Jessica finds setting the record straight irresistible.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Don't we all sing your address? Recent claims made by
- 2:58Speaker 3: her ex husband Nick Lache, who detailed they're unexpected to
- 3:01Speaker 3: run in on a flight to Hawaii and recounted how
- 3:05Speaker 3: she sat in first class as her three kids, Maxwell fourteen,
- 3:09Speaker 3: Ace twelve, and Birdie seven flew in a separate class
- 3:12Speaker 3: of service with their dad, Eric Johnson. My mom bought
- 3:16Speaker 3: those tickets, Jessica clarified in a May twenty interview published
- 3:19Speaker 3: by Page six. It was my mom's treat for us
- 3:21Speaker 3: to go to Hawaii. The forty five year old added,
- 3:24Speaker 3: I'm sure she thought that sounded bad that if she
- 3:26Speaker 3: had purchased the tickets, her children would of course be
- 3:29Speaker 3: seated with her.
- 3:30Speaker 1: I think we need to get john Wait, you got
- 3:32Speaker 1: to stop right there. Really, any of our.
- 3:35Speaker 4: Mothers bought tickets for our kids and myself and my spouse,
- 3:40Speaker 4: whatever would they really put our kids, would our mothers
- 3:44Speaker 4: if they were alive, in my case, put our kids
- 3:47Speaker 4: in steerage and put us in first class.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Dear, I love it too, of course not.
- 3:53Speaker 3: And the fact that I'm sure she knew she had
- 3:56Speaker 3: a different seat. I'm sure she could look at the
- 3:58Speaker 3: tickets and say, okay, I'm in like three and they're
- 4:00Speaker 3: in twenty sevn y. She could tell that they were
- 4:03Speaker 3: in a different class, and she could have changed her ticket.
- 4:05Speaker 3: We all know that. So she chose not to. So
- 4:08Speaker 3: she's blaming this on her mom.
- 4:09Speaker 2: But can I just add one thing, Kathy, wasn't it
- 4:12Speaker 2: you that said to me when I was griping about
- 4:15Speaker 2: going to Italy next week with my granddaughter and you said,
- 4:18Speaker 2: you're not going to sit up in first class if
- 4:20Speaker 2: you get upgraded? I said no, because Bella can't, and
- 4:23Speaker 2: he said I would, Jessica. I'm gonna call you, Jessica.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Wait, there is a difference between buying a ticket and
- 4:32Speaker 4: being upgraded.
- 4:33Speaker 1: But wait, that is not bad enough.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Nick, who was married to Jessica from two thousand and
- 4:41Speaker 4: two to two thousand and six, recounted on a May
- 4:45Speaker 4: thirteenth episode appearance of Watch What happens live how we
- 4:49Speaker 4: crossed paths with Jessica two decades after their divorce. They
- 4:53Speaker 4: haven't seen each other in twenty years, and then they
- 4:56Speaker 4: spent six and a half hours on a flight to Hawaii, Like,
- 5:00Speaker 4: is this somebody's idea of a bad joke.
- 5:02Speaker 3: But they weren't together, you know how it isn't a
- 5:04Speaker 3: plane if you're not sitting near anybody, you don't even
- 5:07Speaker 3: see them. I mean they were on the same airplane.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Chances are they didn't see each other other than crossing
- 5:12Speaker 3: maybe like when they were waiting to get on the
- 5:14Speaker 3: plane and getting off the plane.
- 5:15Speaker 4: So yeah, well he does say that everyone was very
- 5:19Speaker 4: very cordial, very respectful. You know, first class is small,
- 5:24Speaker 4: so I want to know, with Nick in first class
- 5:27Speaker 4: with his wife Vanessa, I'm guessing maybe. So I'm guessing
- 5:31Speaker 4: maybe it was a little more cozy than what we're thinking.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Mm hmm. Moving but alone.
- 5:37Speaker 3: They all have good careers that they all could probably
- 5:39Speaker 3: afford it. I just didn't sound like they really were
- 5:42Speaker 3: because he said on that indycoone interview. But when I
- 5:45Speaker 3: say spent like we spent time, you know, on the
- 5:47Speaker 3: same flight, he says, in the same vicinity so I
- 5:50Speaker 3: don't think that means that they like they He would
- 5:53Speaker 3: have said I was in first class too.
- 5:54Speaker 1: We all know that this is about Yeah. I think
- 5:56Speaker 1: he was being planned.
- 5:57Speaker 4: I think they were all in the free drinks section.
- 6:01Speaker 1: I don't think they talked. I think they were all hottails.
- 6:04Speaker 4: I want to ask both of your questions, Joan, you
- 6:07Speaker 4: and I are widows, so Susan, I'm coming at you, baby,
- 6:11Speaker 4: if you ran into your acts on the flight, would
- 6:15Speaker 4: I know the answer, but just play with me here?
- 6:18Speaker 4: Talk to them? Would you try to sit next to them?
- 6:20Speaker 4: Would you avoid him?
- 6:22Speaker 1: I would definitely talk to them, definitely.
- 6:25Speaker 2: I don't know that i'd go out of my way
- 6:26Speaker 2: to sit next to him because he talks a lot.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Well, you have a.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Great relationship with your yes, and we all know that,
- 6:34Speaker 3: which is wonderful, great for you, great for your kids.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Like kept that family continuity good. You know they didn't
- 6:42Speaker 3: Conjessica Simpson and Nikola Chey didn't have kids together, so
- 6:45Speaker 3: I think when they split, they really split. There was
- 6:47Speaker 3: nothing left. There was no talking clearly for twenty years,
- 6:51Speaker 3: so like, who cares if they spoke at this point, like, hey,
- 6:54Speaker 3: hope you're doing well. You know, enjoy your time in
- 6:57Speaker 3: Hawaii would have been about all I probably would have done.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Yeah, especially with your wife next to you and your
- 7:01Speaker 2: children and they were all up there.
- 7:03Speaker 4: He said it was fine. So you know what, more powered,
- 7:06Speaker 4: I hope had a great time in Hawaii. Hope the
- 7:08Speaker 4: weather was good.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Well, so why it probably was.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sure. I'm sure.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Moving right along now we have Jason Biggs and wife
- 7:16Speaker 2: Jenny Mullin split kepterr eighteen years of marriage. Jason and
- 7:21Speaker 2: his wife Jenny after eighteen years. I mean that's a
- 7:26Speaker 2: long time. A rep for the couple confirmed to People
- 7:30Speaker 2: on Thursday, May fourteenth that Bigs forty eight and Mullin
- 7:34Speaker 2: forty six have separated, though they remain on great terms
- 7:38Speaker 2: and are focused on co parenting their two sons, Lazio
- 7:42Speaker 2: and Sid eight and twelve. A source close to the
- 7:45Speaker 2: pair tells People that Mullin and Biggs are doing great
- 7:49Speaker 2: and spent BIG's forty eighth birthday together as a family
- 7:53Speaker 2: on Tuesday the twelfth. Now, see that's cool. I said,
- 7:57Speaker 2: that's cool.
- 7:58Speaker 1: We would do that here.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Yeah, they're very much connected, the source says of Biggs
- 8:02Speaker 2: and Mullin's future as co parents. I have no doubt
- 8:05Speaker 2: they will remain on excellent terms. They met on the
- 8:10Speaker 2: set of a two thousand and eight movie, My Best
- 8:13Speaker 2: Friend's Girl. The pair were engaged in January two thousand
- 8:17Speaker 2: and eight and eloped in a private ceremony that April.
- 8:21Speaker 2: In July of that year, they exchanged valves for a
- 8:24Speaker 2: second time at a ceremony in Napa, California that featured
- 8:29Speaker 2: about forty guests in attendance, As people reported at the time.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Okay, Susan Wade, I have a question for both.
- 8:36Speaker 4: I know it's eighteen years later, but if you elope
- 8:41Speaker 4: and then you have a private ceremony, I don't know,
- 8:44Speaker 4: doesn't it kind of feel like I don't know. I
- 8:47Speaker 4: got it was eighteen years later, but I just want
- 8:49Speaker 4: I wanted that to work out. I did.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Well.
- 8:54Speaker 3: You know what the history of kind of Hollywood marriages
- 8:58Speaker 3: is they are pretty sure, you know, five six, maybe
- 9:01Speaker 3: ten years, eighteen years, you're starting to get invested like
- 9:04Speaker 3: this is one of the good ones. They're going to
- 9:05Speaker 3: stay together, and then they springing on us that they're not.
- 9:08Speaker 3: And I feel that one. It also has to you know,
- 9:10Speaker 3: has kids involved.
- 9:11Speaker 2: You know that they have, and they say here that
- 9:14Speaker 2: they kept their life together relatively private and helps tend
- 9:19Speaker 2: to keep their sons out of the public eye, so
- 9:21Speaker 2: they didn't app that.
- 9:23Speaker 4: Yes, absolutely, I think that's but I don't know. So
- 9:27Speaker 4: here's I mean, Joan, you and I were married. I
- 9:30Speaker 4: was married the longest of I mean, other than methusel
- 9:33Speaker 4: I've been married the longest of anybody. Joan, you were
- 9:36Speaker 4: married a long time, Susan. Actually, you know you were
- 9:38Speaker 4: married a long time.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Yes.
- 9:41Speaker 4: People ask me this all the time. Do you think
- 9:44Speaker 4: you should have to renew year marriage fast? Would you
- 9:46Speaker 4: have done that?
- 9:47Speaker 1: Joan? Would you have done that?
- 9:49Speaker 2: It's not necessary, but some people love to celebrate that
- 9:52Speaker 2: they're still in love, because I do that for a living.
- 9:55Speaker 1: So don't damn it. I just would do Would you
- 9:58Speaker 1: do it, Susan, I wouldn't.
- 10:01Speaker 2: If I had somebody maybe No, no, no, if I
- 10:05Speaker 2: was still in love after two no, no, No.
- 10:07Speaker 4: It's not vows, Honeybunny. It's renewing your marriage.
- 10:11Speaker 1: It's not. It's not a declaration. It is Kathy, it's legal,
- 10:15Speaker 1: and it is.
- 10:17Speaker 4: What I'm saying, Susan is and John, do you think
- 10:20Speaker 4: renewing your marriage like we go and renew our driver's license.
- 10:24Speaker 1: What every five six, sex years, four years, whatever. Well
- 10:27Speaker 1: it's different in every state.
- 10:28Speaker 4: But do you think you should have to renew your
- 10:31Speaker 4: marriage because I will tell you I dated a guy,
- 10:34Speaker 4: uh for not that long, but he had lived with
- 10:38Speaker 4: a woman and he said that every six months they
- 10:41Speaker 4: sat down and decided whether they wanted to recommit now
- 10:45Speaker 4: they weren't married.
- 10:46Speaker 1: But would you ever do that?
- 10:47Speaker 3: It's a big difference. I feel like I think you
- 10:49Speaker 3: opened up a whole can of worms because we're no
- 10:52Speaker 3: or what the answer is? Maybe like how it's not
- 10:54Speaker 3: like going to the DMV and say I'm going to
- 10:57Speaker 3: continue to drive. I'm going to continue to not drive,
- 10:59Speaker 3: to continue to drive. There's the only application is on you.
- 11:01Speaker 3: You're not going to drive anymore when you say we're
- 11:04Speaker 3: not going to be a couple anymore than the answers
- 11:06Speaker 3: and you have to get divorced. And so that's like
- 11:08Speaker 3: a whole big thing. I don't think that it's really feasible.
- 11:11Speaker 3: I don't think it's so bad to check in on
- 11:14Speaker 3: your marriage, you know, every few months, every few years.
- 11:17Speaker 3: I have a friend who he is a divorce attorney
- 11:21Speaker 3: and she is a couple's counselor, and they are married
- 11:24Speaker 3: and they have the greatest marriage. They have such a
- 11:26Speaker 3: weird like dichotomy of what they do and they are
- 11:30Speaker 3: so good at staying Mary because they do that, like
- 11:32Speaker 3: that's something that is in their like you know, monthly
- 11:36Speaker 3: check in. They sit down and go to dinner and
- 11:37Speaker 3: they talk about what's working, what isn't.
- 11:39Speaker 2: So that's it's like being in therapy. Right, It's like
- 11:42Speaker 2: being in therapy. You talk, you communicate.
- 11:45Speaker 4: Joe brings up a good point. Joe, a great point,
- 11:48Speaker 4: because think about it. You go out to dinner to
- 11:51Speaker 4: have your conversation about renewing your.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Marriage, not in your vows, like do we want before?
- 11:58Speaker 1: So how are we? What page are we on? Yeah?
- 12:01Speaker 1: He says no, you know what I'm going to say?
- 12:04Speaker 4: Okay, fine, I want the house in the Hamptons and
- 12:07Speaker 4: five percent of the checking accounting savings and your retirement.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Well yeah, and what do we do with our kids?
- 12:12Speaker 3: Like I mean, then that opens that whole thing if
- 12:14Speaker 3: you have kids of who you know, custody and stuff
- 12:16Speaker 3: like that. So I certainly don't think it's a good idea.
- 12:18Speaker 3: I get the point of checking in on your marriage.
- 12:21Speaker 3: I just don't think it should be like a legal thing.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Right right.
- 12:25Speaker 2: I think it's a good idea. I do, I actually do.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Well wait do you hear this? So recently, she shared
- 12:31Speaker 2: a photo of herself and Bigs on Instagram. A totally
- 12:35Speaker 2: approachable couple, not trying to seduce you, she wrote in
- 12:39Speaker 2: a caption, how cute.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Okay, they are a cute couple.
- 12:43Speaker 4: I mean they were, and you know what, they're going
- 12:45Speaker 4: to go on as because as you pointed out, John,
- 12:48Speaker 4: they're gonna go on in Hollywood. They're going to find
- 12:50Speaker 4: their next one. And you know, two years from now
- 12:52Speaker 4: will either be saying congrats on the marriage.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Or they moved on again.
- 12:57Speaker 2: It wasn't too long ago that we were. We did
- 12:59Speaker 2: a pod cast on the celebrations of divorce. Right, they
- 13:03Speaker 2: got a ring, they had a cake, they had a party,
- 13:05Speaker 2: a divorce party.
- 13:07Speaker 4: You know, whatever works, is what I say.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Okay, we got to move on.
- 13:21Speaker 4: Real Housewives of Miami star Lisa and her ex boyfriend
- 13:27Speaker 4: Jody Gliddon's they got their spying charges dropped. Lisa and
- 13:33Speaker 4: her ex boyfriend Jody are no longer facing criminal charges.
- 13:38Speaker 1: They were each arrested in April. Are you ready for this?
- 13:42Speaker 4: On one felony charge of interception of wire, oral or
- 13:47Speaker 4: electronic communications after allegedly placing.
- 13:51Speaker 1: A recording device in her ex husband's Lenny's car.
- 13:57Speaker 4: Amid their divorce proceedings in twenty twenty three. I'm just
- 14:00Speaker 4: going to say to you, I had to read this like,
- 14:02Speaker 4: hold on, there's too many people, So it gets worse.
- 14:07Speaker 4: They reached an agreement with the prosecution and the charges
- 14:11Speaker 4: will be dismissed mid June without any admission of guilt
- 14:15Speaker 4: or conviction. You got to love our legal system, Okay.
- 14:18Speaker 4: So that all just happened on Tuesday, May nineteenth, which
- 14:22Speaker 4: by the way, would have been my fifty third wedding anniversary.
- 14:26Speaker 4: So people reached out to Winetraub for a comment and
- 14:32Speaker 4: they both Lisa and Glyndon were accepted into the Advocacy
- 14:38Speaker 4: Program's Felony Trial Diversion program. This was according to court
- 14:43Speaker 4: documents obtained by People. The private, not for profit Justice
- 14:48Speaker 4: agency offers court ordered individuals the ability to have their
- 14:52Speaker 4: arrest record are we ready sealed and or expuse and
- 14:58Speaker 4: have the charges dropped by the State Attorney's office if
- 15:01Speaker 4: they remain and I'm quoting arrest free. This is all
- 15:06Speaker 4: according to the agency site. Will somebody please tell me? Wait, wait,
- 15:11Speaker 4: I have a question. Now, both of them were arrested.
- 15:14Speaker 4: So they were doing it.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Yep, well they were doing it together. They were together
- 15:19Speaker 3: doing it. But I mean the crazy thing is he
- 15:21Speaker 3: allowed her to borrow his car. The article says, yeah,
- 15:26Speaker 3: person allowed her to borrow his Mercedes Mercedes been GLS
- 15:30Speaker 3: six hundred Maybach.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Yes.
- 15:33Speaker 3: He discovers a few days later that there is this
- 15:36Speaker 3: weird thing underneath his seat and he pulls it out
- 15:39Speaker 3: and he sees it, his tape all over it, and
- 15:42Speaker 3: it is a recording device. Now who else could it be?
- 15:45Speaker 1: We back up for a minute.
- 15:46Speaker 4: I've never been divorced, but I'm going to say that
- 15:49Speaker 4: is a pricey car, and I'm divorced from somebody, and
- 15:53Speaker 4: I got my ex. You know, it's so many players
- 15:56Speaker 4: in this, in this cast of characters. Hey, honey, can
- 15:59Speaker 4: if I borrow your really expensive card because I'm thinking about.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Buying one for myself. Sure we're divorced, go for it.
- 16:08Speaker 3: I mean really, because she couldn't have gone to a
- 16:11Speaker 3: Mercedes dealership and gotten one.
- 16:14Speaker 1: What was she trying to learn though? I mean, what
- 16:17Speaker 1: was she trying to hear?
- 16:19Speaker 3: Well, I mean, he doesn't ever talk about what that
- 16:21Speaker 3: is like that she's trying to hear. But I'm sure
- 16:24Speaker 3: that there was contention between them because you're getting divorced.
- 16:27Speaker 3: He has a new girlfriend, she has a new boyfriend.
- 16:30Speaker 4: Okay, so Lenny, smart guy. When he finds the device,
- 16:35Speaker 4: he alerts his lawyer. They hire experts who sorry, who
- 16:40Speaker 4: recovered several recordings from the device, and the warrant claims,
- 16:44Speaker 4: adding that quote, one of the last recordings from before
- 16:48Speaker 4: the vehicle was returned to the victim, depicts Lisa and
- 16:52Speaker 4: Glyndon holding a discussion and the distinct sound of a
- 16:56Speaker 4: device such as the hidden recorder, being wrestled in place,
- 17:00Speaker 4: and then the device later captured the former couple speaking
- 17:04Speaker 4: about their kids, his plastic surgery practice, finances, and a
- 17:08Speaker 4: construction project. All this, again is according to the artist warrant.
- 17:12Speaker 4: I'm wondering if they discussed dental appointments.
- 17:15Speaker 3: You know, no, what they did way worse because listen
- 17:17Speaker 3: to this. It says detectives allegedly recovered deleted materilla from
- 17:23Speaker 3: the device, including a tape of Lisa and Glidden engage
- 17:26Speaker 3: in intimate activities and other conversations between them, which so
- 17:32Speaker 3: first of all, like that is all nuts. They had
- 17:35Speaker 3: all these discussions knowing that the device was recording. Obviously,
- 17:39Speaker 3: I guess they thought it's never going to give you know,
- 17:41Speaker 3: found It'll only be us hearing these these things.
- 17:44Speaker 4: No, no, no, Joan, Well you had me until the
- 17:48Speaker 4: last bit. Why would you engage think about this. You've
- 17:53Speaker 4: now returned the car to your ex husband, who has
- 17:56Speaker 4: filed for divorce in May of twenty twenty two, now
- 18:00Speaker 4: returned the car. You have engaged in these acts, said
- 18:04Speaker 4: these things, and you've given the car back with the
- 18:08Speaker 4: recording device intact?
- 18:09Speaker 1: Does that make any of.
- 18:11Speaker 3: You were confident that they had done such a good
- 18:13Speaker 3: job being spies that they would never be caught. Yet
- 18:15Speaker 3: they were terrible spies. Is never caught really fast?
- 18:19Speaker 1: Stupid criminals are always caught. Wait.
- 18:23Speaker 2: It says that she bought him from Amazon three months prior,
- 18:26Speaker 2: but she bought two of the exact same models, So
- 18:30Speaker 2: maybe she put the wrong one in his cost.
- 18:33Speaker 3: But why would you be recording yourself?
- 18:35Speaker 1: Like I know, I don't exactly. Okay, here's the last thing.
- 18:38Speaker 4: Though, they had it says amid their divorce battle, So
- 18:42Speaker 4: this was not a copathetic divorce clearly, but you know,
- 18:45Speaker 4: let's lend you the car. Anyway, they were involved in
- 18:49Speaker 4: and contentious proceedings. Lisa alleged she was being financially strangled
- 18:57Speaker 4: by Lenny. So you know what, if I'm being financially
- 18:59Speaker 4: strangled by God, I'm going to ask you if I
- 19:01Speaker 4: can borrow your car.
- 19:02Speaker 1: I mean, none of this makes sense.
- 19:04Speaker 4: And then his then girlfriend Katerina Matzappa I can't even
- 19:08Speaker 4: say her last name, Mazeppa, also filed a restraining order
- 19:12Speaker 4: against Lisa, although that was later dismissed.
- 19:15Speaker 1: You know what we call this in the home country,
- 19:17Speaker 1: a michig gos what Well.
- 19:21Speaker 3: The thing that shocks me the most is it sounds
- 19:22Speaker 3: like there is so much evidence against them. They have
- 19:25Speaker 3: her buying the devices, They have them talking in the
- 19:28Speaker 3: car where the device is hand and it sounds like
- 19:30Speaker 3: they are handling the device trying to tape it up
- 19:32Speaker 3: under the like they have all of this sales. They
- 19:34Speaker 3: have sounds of them like doing intemn So they have
- 19:40Speaker 3: them on the device, they had them in the car,
- 19:42Speaker 3: they had her purchasing device. Why did they drop these charges?
- 19:47Speaker 1: I don't know. But here's here's one other question I have.
- 19:50Speaker 4: Lenny was ordered to pay Lisa fifteen thousand dollars per
- 19:54Speaker 4: month in child support.
- 19:56Speaker 1: And that's how she's financially being strangled. Right.
- 19:59Speaker 4: Wait, so that's number one, Susan. Number two, Could she
- 20:02Speaker 4: not have afforded a better recording device.
- 20:07Speaker 3: Hired somebody to install it?
- 20:09Speaker 1: And moving right along on?
- 20:12Speaker 3: Moving on?
- 20:13Speaker 1: How about this?
- 20:14Speaker 3: Mandy Moore makes rare comment about ex Ryan Adams claims
- 20:18Speaker 3: he didn't ask her dad for a blessing to propose.
- 20:22Speaker 3: I don't know what you guys think about this. Let
- 20:23Speaker 3: me read this a little bit and then let's talk
- 20:24Speaker 3: about it. Danny Moore is recalling the moment her husband,
- 20:27Speaker 3: Taylor Goldsmith, asked for her dad's hand in marriage. That's
- 20:32Speaker 3: not really what happened. Asked for her hand in marriage
- 20:34Speaker 3: from her dad, which is allegedly something her first husband,
- 20:37Speaker 3: Right Adams didn't do. He was touched, Mandy recalled after
- 20:41Speaker 3: the Tuesday May nineteenth episode of What Was Us podcast
- 20:45Speaker 3: of her dad's reaction. I had been betrothed before, but
- 20:49Speaker 3: that person did not ask my father, So I think
- 20:51Speaker 3: my dad was very touched that it was done in
- 20:53Speaker 3: the traditional way. My dad appreciates that. But listen to
- 20:56Speaker 3: her dad she continued, but I believe he's also super
- 20:58Speaker 3: awkward and was like, oh my gosh, you don't have
- 21:01Speaker 3: to ask someone for my permission, has Taylor recounted it
- 21:04Speaker 3: to me. Mandy and Ryan Adams began dating in two
- 21:07Speaker 3: thousand and seven and tied the knot two years later.
- 21:09Speaker 3: After nearly six years of marriage, the pair called it
- 21:11Speaker 3: quits in twenty fifteen. Mandy and Ryan's divorce was finalized
- 21:15Speaker 3: in twenty sixteen. So later she becomes engaged with somebody else.
- 21:17Speaker 3: What do you guys think about that whole thing about
- 21:20Speaker 3: asking your father for or asking her father for the
- 21:23Speaker 3: hand in marriage.
- 21:24Speaker 1: It's all about the man. It's up to him. You know.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Some men really appreciate that and they think that's necessary,
- 21:31Speaker 2: and I admire it, but it doesn't matter.
- 21:33Speaker 1: You know, wait a second, I think it depends on
- 21:36Speaker 1: the age.
- 21:37Speaker 4: I'm just going to say, if you have a forty
- 21:40Speaker 4: year old daughter or a you know, I think that's
- 21:43Speaker 4: ridiculous young for Mandy Moore at the time. You know,
- 21:47Speaker 4: she's in her late thirties. I think now, so she
- 21:50Speaker 4: was in her early to mid twenties. I think it's appropriate.
- 21:54Speaker 4: I think it's as you said, Susan, it's kind chivalrous,
- 21:57Speaker 4: it's night.
- 21:58Speaker 1: But it's not that I wouldn't marry a guy who
- 22:02Speaker 1: did did Miss Daddy.
- 22:03Speaker 3: That's how I feel about it. And I ask you.
- 22:05Speaker 3: Both my sons did ask their soon to be father
- 22:09Speaker 3: in laws or their their father and now their father
- 22:11Speaker 3: in laws to marry their daughter. And both of my
- 22:14Speaker 3: son in laws asked John and I so say, like,
- 22:18Speaker 3: I think my kids ended up with really traditional cousins
- 22:20Speaker 3: and wives.
- 22:21Speaker 4: Can I just can I just tell you my husband
- 22:23Speaker 4: did ask my parents, but I was just.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Barely out of the credit when I got married.
- 22:28Speaker 4: But I have to tell you I can always I
- 22:31Speaker 4: try to do this about crying my daughter who has
- 22:34Speaker 4: been married since for like four years. But my husband
- 22:38Speaker 4: took his life right like right before he was going
- 22:42Speaker 4: to ask his permission to get married. And so we
- 22:46Speaker 4: were playing golf, my now son in law, my son
- 22:50Speaker 4: and I and at the end of the golf round,
- 22:53Speaker 4: he said, I have something I want to ask you guys,
- 22:55Speaker 4: and he asked our permission to marry my daughter. And
- 22:59Speaker 4: I got to tell you, I thought that was very sweet.
- 23:01Speaker 4: I think good manners and chivalry never goes out of style.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Yeah, my son in law, the one that married my
- 23:07Speaker 3: daughter Erica. John was really really sick, like he was. Yeah,
- 23:12Speaker 3: he died just a few months after that, but did
- 23:14Speaker 3: make sure, like wanted to ask him before he died,
- 23:16Speaker 3: like you could sit that he was kind of on
- 23:17Speaker 3: the wall.
- 23:18Speaker 1: And that's something you know your daughter will never forget.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Let me ask you girls something. This is what we
- 23:24Speaker 2: just read here and talked about. Was she Mandy griping
- 23:27Speaker 2: that the first husband didn't do it, or just matter
- 23:30Speaker 2: of factly saying that the new husband did but the
- 23:34Speaker 2: old husband didn't.
- 23:35Speaker 1: As that all that was. I feel like that.
- 23:37Speaker 3: Since she's even talking about it, certainly like you know,
- 23:40Speaker 3: stuck in her brain a little bit. Yeah, comes to
- 23:42Speaker 3: me and.
- 23:43Speaker 4: She says, see what her dad was touched. I think
- 23:45Speaker 4: she's just acknowledging. She is acknowledging that it was the
- 23:49Speaker 4: sweet thing, a sweet gesture for him to do. And
- 23:53Speaker 4: you know what, I love Mandy Moore. So if she's happy,
- 23:56Speaker 4: I'm happy.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Kind of at the end of this article, they say.
- 23:59Speaker 3: Two years later, Mandy began speaking out about her relationship
- 24:02Speaker 3: with her ex husband, and in twenty nineteen, The New
- 24:05Speaker 3: York Times published a profile in which seven women, including
- 24:09Speaker 3: Mandy came forward to share misconduct allegations against Ryan.
- 24:14Speaker 4: Yeah, that doesn't have anything to do that's just you know,
- 24:17Speaker 4: I hear you.
- 24:18Speaker 1: But that doesn't everything to do with asking permission. Okay,
- 24:31Speaker 1: let's talk about the Grammar here. Oh.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Camille Grammar reveals the very harsh text ex husband Kelsey
- 24:39Speaker 2: Grammer sent her after their split. Camille is opening up
- 24:44Speaker 2: about the aftermath of her split from ex husband Kelsey
- 24:47Speaker 2: Grammar on my eighteenth episode of Cynthia Bailey and Crystal
- 24:51Speaker 2: Kong miccoff Humbles Brag podcast. Camille fifty seven shared that
- 24:57Speaker 2: she hasn't spoken to Kelsey seventy one in fourteen years.
- 25:02Speaker 2: The exes wed in nineteen ninety seven and split in
- 25:05Speaker 2: twenty ten after Kelsey admitted to having an affair with
- 25:10Speaker 2: flight attendant Katie Walsh, whom he later married. And when
- 25:16Speaker 2: you ask me about the I'm sorry or the remorse
- 25:20Speaker 2: he said to me, he sent me a text saying
- 25:23Speaker 2: I feel no remorse for what I'm doing, Camille revealed.
- 25:27Speaker 2: And that was very harsh because I was very much
- 25:30Speaker 2: in love with him, and I believed he was very
- 25:32Speaker 2: much in love with me.
- 25:34Speaker 3: That's crazy. She had no idea.
- 25:36Speaker 4: Well, hold on, Johan, I got to be the bearer
- 25:38Speaker 4: of bad news here. It's as badly as I feel
- 25:42Speaker 4: for anybody that that happens. So because you're right, it
- 25:45Speaker 4: comes from nowhere, Joan. And you've got kids, and we
- 25:47Speaker 4: all care about our children. I have to say, this
- 25:51Speaker 4: is not a rare event, not just in Hollywood but
- 25:55Speaker 4: in life.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Right, do you agree with me? It happens all the
- 25:59Speaker 1: time time.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Most men will try to lie the way out of it.
- 26:02Speaker 2: But he's saying, I feel no remorse for what I'm doing,
- 26:05Speaker 2: meaning having the affair.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:07Speaker 3: I happen to have watched this season of Real Housewives
- 26:10Speaker 3: of every Hills. I don't watch all the Real Housewives.
- 26:12Speaker 3: I happen to watch this particular season, and I remember
- 26:16Speaker 3: Camille and a bunch of the other housewives are going
- 26:19Speaker 3: to New York to see Kelsey Grammer in a Broadway play,
- 26:22Speaker 3: and they all kind of arrive and she's so proud
- 26:25Speaker 3: of him, and she's talking about her wonderful, like talented husband,
- 26:28Speaker 3: and they are also excited to be going to see him,
- 26:32Speaker 3: and he barely gave them the time of day, any
- 26:35Speaker 3: of them, and was downright rude to her and dismissive. Yeah,
- 26:40Speaker 3: one or two minutes that he even saw her venue.
- 26:43Speaker 4: You want to know why he doesn't have time. He's
- 26:47Speaker 4: on his fourth marriage.
- 26:49Speaker 1: He doesn't have time.
- 26:50Speaker 4: This is a man, in my opinion, who acts first
- 26:55Speaker 4: and doesn't think later.
- 26:57Speaker 3: You know, I think he's a narcissist.
- 26:58Speaker 1: I mean whatever he is.
- 27:00Speaker 4: Yes, he doesn't take the in my opinion, he does
- 27:03Speaker 4: not take marriage as a commitment. He takes it as
- 27:07Speaker 4: this worked for me today. Yes, if it doesn't work out,
- 27:10Speaker 4: see you later. By don't care.
- 27:12Speaker 1: I'm moving on.
- 27:13Speaker 2: And she's honest about saying she was broken, and she
- 27:18Speaker 2: broke when the show was airing because it was getting
- 27:21Speaker 2: She was getting it from all sides, as you said, Jones.
- 27:25Speaker 2: She was part of the original cast of the Real
- 27:27Speaker 2: Housewives of Beverly Hills. Her split from Kelsey was documented
- 27:31Speaker 2: on the Bravo show. I don't feel like I was
- 27:33Speaker 2: getting a break, she says, because the show that fans
- 27:37Speaker 2: the audience then bigger than that. It's Kelsey's people, his
- 27:42Speaker 2: machine behind him to protect his image that were on
- 27:46Speaker 2: full force. She remembers calling him and saying, get your
- 27:50Speaker 2: dogs off me, Get your bulldogs off me, because I
- 27:53Speaker 2: don't want to keep reading this horrible stuff that you're
- 27:56Speaker 2: putting out there with your posy for your posse, to
- 28:01Speaker 2: protect your image. She added, Can you imagine when everybody
- 28:05Speaker 2: and maybe he didn't even say everything, you know how
- 28:08Speaker 2: that goes on social media?
- 28:11Speaker 3: Right?
- 28:11Speaker 1: Yes, but hold on, I.
- 28:14Speaker 4: And again, you know Kathy can be harsh sometimes, but
- 28:17Speaker 4: I think I'm real these are people in the public eye.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Yes, yes, So when you sign.
- 28:24Speaker 4: Up to be on the Real Housewives, you're signing up.
- 28:29Speaker 4: We have seen it with the current you know, the
- 28:32Speaker 4: current season of The Bachelor that isn't being shown as
- 28:35Speaker 4: of now. This is something you sign up for. And
- 28:39Speaker 4: while I feel badly for her, let me repeat, He's
- 28:42Speaker 4: on his fourth marriage, she's a reality TV star and
- 28:47Speaker 4: this happens.
- 28:49Speaker 1: Yeah, well she failed it though.
- 28:51Speaker 2: She said she kept getting kicked from every angle, she
- 28:53Speaker 2: couldn't come up for air. She was even suicidal, it
- 28:57Speaker 2: says she said. It felt like being thrown in the
- 29:00Speaker 2: middle of the ocean without a life, ramped and drowning.
- 29:03Speaker 3: I usually think that housewives, like all these housewives, like
- 29:07Speaker 3: their marriages are really fragile while they're being filmed, because
- 29:11Speaker 3: I feel like production finds any little thread that they
- 29:14Speaker 3: can start pulling on and hoping that things will unravel.
- 29:17Speaker 3: So they have drama, and I don't know if that's
- 29:20Speaker 3: like part of their story. I watched the season. I
- 29:24Speaker 3: remember rarely seeing Kelsey Grammar as part of it, Like
- 29:27Speaker 3: he was too good to be part of a Real Housewives,
- 29:29Speaker 3: so he was really rarely in it. So I'm thinking,
- 29:32Speaker 3: may be things unraveled because of the show, and.
- 29:35Speaker 2: She's letting public people get the best of her. She
- 29:39Speaker 2: went into a really dark place. She was so upset,
- 29:42Speaker 2: and she never would commit suicide, obviously, but she felt like,
- 29:47Speaker 2: how do I get out of this because I wasn't
- 29:50Speaker 2: getting any help. How would you expect to get help?
- 29:53Speaker 2: Erase it? You can't get help, you just move on
- 29:56Speaker 2: and be a better person. So Dan proud and speak
- 29:58Speaker 2: your piece and move on, right, Okay, So.
- 30:01Speaker 4: Before we move on, I got to be honest personally.
- 30:05Speaker 4: I have an issue with this because someone who says
- 30:09Speaker 4: I was so dark, I was like almost suicidal, but
- 30:13Speaker 4: not quite because I would never commit suicide.
- 30:16Speaker 1: It's died by suicide.
- 30:18Speaker 4: You don't put those as somebody who is a survivor
- 30:21Speaker 4: of a spouse who died by suicide.
- 30:23Speaker 1: I read that.
- 30:24Speaker 2: I was like, she's saying that, so that's how she felt, Like, yeah,
- 30:29Speaker 2: I understand it imagining you know.
- 30:31Speaker 4: Yeah again, I'm I'm not quite as friendly on this
- 30:35Speaker 4: one because when you're on a public when you're a
- 30:38Speaker 4: public figure, you're signing up for this, and you sent
- 30:41Speaker 4: up for the good, the bad, and the u of.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Kathy when when you said zip it in the world
- 30:46Speaker 2: attacked you for the first three months after the show,
- 30:50Speaker 2: I mean you had to survive it, right.
- 30:52Speaker 4: Yeah, And I assure you I was not even thinking
- 30:56Speaker 4: about suicide.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Of course, let's move on because now we Okay. Love
- 31:01Speaker 1: is blind.
- 31:03Speaker 4: Chelsea Griffin and Quame they break up after four years
- 31:07Speaker 4: of marriage. They announced their ending their marriage only after
- 31:11Speaker 4: four years. And this is a quote. Last week would
- 31:15Speaker 4: have marked our fourth wedding anniversary, Griffin wrote in a
- 31:18Speaker 4: statement in a joint Instagram post on Thursday, May fifteenth. Quote,
- 31:23Speaker 4: out of respect for the life we shared, I wanted
- 31:25Speaker 4: to address this moment directly with the community that has
- 31:29Speaker 4: supported us over the years. It's heartbreaking to share that
- 31:33Speaker 4: our marriage is coming to an end.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Chelsea continued.
- 31:37Speaker 4: This is not the outcome I hoped for, she said,
- 31:40Speaker 4: and I entered this relationship with deep love, commitment, and
- 31:43Speaker 4: the intention of building the lasting life together.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Don't we all? Don't we all? Though? Don't we all?
- 31:48Speaker 1: That's how we get in, that's you know, happened.
- 31:51Speaker 4: She also She also added that she poured her whole
- 31:55Speaker 4: heart into the marriage. It eventually became clear that they
- 31:59Speaker 4: were growing in differ directions. My mantra going forward is
- 32:02Speaker 4: that I am strong, I am resilient, and there is
- 32:05Speaker 4: still so much ahead of me, Griffin wrote. She also added,
- 32:09Speaker 4: while this chapter is deeply painful, I trust that healing
- 32:13Speaker 4: and clarity will come with me. So Huame shared his
- 32:17Speaker 4: own message in a separate slide, revealing the pair has
- 32:20Speaker 4: reached the difficult decision after realizing their ultimate life goals.
- 32:25Speaker 4: Don't feel aligned. I don't know what do you guys think.
- 32:29Speaker 2: I think it's nice that they both put it out
- 32:31Speaker 2: there that they tried and they couldn't do it, but
- 32:33Speaker 2: they want the public to know that's all.
- 32:35Speaker 3: But they're putting like when they should. They tried it
- 32:38Speaker 3: for four years. That seems like a reasonable amount of time.
- 32:40Speaker 3: They don't have children. It seems like it's an amical
- 32:42Speaker 3: divorce and they're ready to move on, and I bet
- 32:44Speaker 3: both of them will find somebody and be very very happy.
- 32:47Speaker 3: This is a learning, you know, a learning part of
- 32:49Speaker 3: their journey.
- 32:50Speaker 2: But they're both being respectful of each other and saying
- 32:52Speaker 2: they both tried.
- 32:53Speaker 1: I don't think there's anything wrong with it. It's beautiful.
- 32:56Speaker 4: I don't either, But I want y'all to remember that
- 32:59Speaker 4: these two met on love is blind, and that's not
- 33:03Speaker 4: like meeting on a blind date that your set you
- 33:05Speaker 4: up when they're going out with your next door neighbor.
- 33:08Speaker 4: This is a couple that didn't see each other. We
- 33:11Speaker 4: all know the premise of love is blind. You don't
- 33:13Speaker 4: see the person until until you know intergregation commitment. And
- 33:20Speaker 4: so I think I'm actually impressed that they made it
- 33:25Speaker 4: four years because to me, if you have not met
- 33:29Speaker 4: the person only through what you see behind the screen,
- 33:32Speaker 4: and you made it four years, I actually believe them
- 33:36Speaker 4: that they really an old college right, and I love
- 33:40Speaker 4: like you guys said, they came together to make the announcement.
- 33:43Speaker 2: I think it was very full of class. They were
- 33:46Speaker 2: really you think love is blind?
- 33:47Speaker 1: Do you think that premise works for dating someone?
- 33:50Speaker 3: I would love to know what their success rate is, Yeah,
- 33:55Speaker 3: because I feel like it's a very I think it's
- 33:57Speaker 3: a really hard premise. Like I think that there is
- 34:00Speaker 3: something to seeing a person. I think I have a chemistry
- 34:04Speaker 3: and you don't just get it from talking to them.
- 34:06Speaker 1: It's the whole package. Yes, it's the feeling. Yes, you're
- 34:09Speaker 1: exactly right. You're exactly right.
- 34:11Speaker 4: I agree with you, John, I do. But do you
- 34:13Speaker 4: know that Kwame's mother had an issue with them getting married?
- 34:17Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 34:17Speaker 3: I knew that.
- 34:18Speaker 4: They go into that, You go into it with that
- 34:21Speaker 4: right there, that's you know, that's an uphill battle right there.
- 34:24Speaker 3: When a lot of mothers have issues with their and
- 34:27Speaker 3: the girls, they never think they're good enough. So I'm
- 34:29Speaker 3: not sure if I was going to give a lot
- 34:31Speaker 3: of a lot of weight to like kind of what
- 34:33Speaker 3: she thinks. But I do really feel like they I mean,
- 34:35Speaker 3: four years, they gave it a hell of a try,
- 34:37Speaker 3: so you're proud to try. They tried.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Listen, I go on Love is Would you guys go
- 34:44Speaker 1: on Love Is Blind? Would you do it?
- 34:46Speaker 3: I wouldn't do it.
- 34:47Speaker 1: I don't know that I couldn't do it. No.
- 34:50Speaker 3: I mean, although it's a super popular show, they're I
- 34:52Speaker 3: have been problem finding it, finding people to participate in it,
- 34:55Speaker 3: but you know it wouldn't be for me. I don't think, okay.
- 34:58Speaker 3: I also think it's kind of too final. They really
- 35:00Speaker 3: do get married at the end, So I feel like
- 35:02Speaker 3: you need I feel like you really need some time,
- 35:03Speaker 3: even after being on show, to get to know each
- 35:06Speaker 3: other better. I don't I can't imagine break from the
- 35:08Speaker 3: show to marriage.
- 35:08Speaker 1: That's I think what you got here. Last one season,
- 35:11Speaker 1: one more Love is Blind, one last Love is Blind.
- 35:14Speaker 3: It's Love is Blind's Alexa Lomo speaks in breaks silence
- 35:19Speaker 3: a reason for Brennan lamo divorce Love is Blind. Alexi
- 35:22Speaker 3: Lamo is ready to open up about her decision to
- 35:25Speaker 3: get a divorce from a strange husband, Brennan after four
- 35:28Speaker 3: years of marriage. Another four year marriage from Love is Blind.
- 35:31Speaker 3: Maybe that's a statistic we should be talking about. I
- 35:34Speaker 3: had asked for it, Alexa thirty one shared in US
- 35:36Speaker 3: Weekly's exclusive sneak peek of the Thursday, May twenty first
- 35:39Speaker 3: episode of the He Said, Gee Said Podcast. It wasn't
- 35:43Speaker 3: because there was a lack of love on my part.
- 35:45Speaker 3: I just couldn't do it anymore.
- 35:48Speaker 2: I was tired, tired from what wait wait, wait, how
- 35:51Speaker 2: do you what do you mean? Tired, Like, how do
- 35:53Speaker 2: you get tired of trying? Tired of him, tired of sex.
- 35:58Speaker 3: Anything that has I don't know why she's tired.
- 36:00Speaker 1: I don't want to clean anymore, Like, what is tired?
- 36:04Speaker 1: So tight? It was? I just want you to know.
- 36:07Speaker 1: It wasn't a lack of love, Joan, it wasn't.
- 36:10Speaker 4: I think it had to do with, like you just said,
- 36:13Speaker 4: cleaning the house, cooking habit, sex, run.
- 36:15Speaker 1: In the air.
- 36:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I think he does. He snores at night. I
- 36:18Speaker 3: don't know, it's tired.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Was tired of that? Yeah?
- 36:21Speaker 4: Well.
- 36:21Speaker 3: Brendan thirty five, and Alexa got married in June twenty
- 36:24Speaker 3: twenty one during Love is Blind Season three, which aired
- 36:27Speaker 3: on Netflix the next year. The pair was later welcomed
- 36:29Speaker 3: a daughter of Vienna in July twenty twenty four. Well,
- 36:32Speaker 3: how wonderful. At least they they had had a baby.
- 36:35Speaker 3: They have a beautiful little daughter. When speaking with podcast
- 36:38Speaker 3: co host Blake Hortsman and Love is Blind, A lum
- 36:42Speaker 3: gi Nina malade Gabelli, I.
- 36:45Speaker 1: Have no idea A good job, good Joe.
- 36:48Speaker 3: I try I sound very Italian there, Alexa claimed the
- 36:51Speaker 3: split was mutual. My main thing was I just wanted
- 36:54Speaker 3: my daughter to see that what love looks like, and
- 36:56Speaker 3: that wasn't it. She explained, It would be my biggest
- 36:59Speaker 3: failure as a for that to be what she thought
- 37:02Speaker 3: it was. I mean so true. I mean you, it's
- 37:05Speaker 3: your job to show your kids what a good marriage
- 37:07Speaker 3: looks like. I mean, you're the yeah example that that
- 37:10Speaker 3: they'll ever seeing if they thought that they were sitting
- 37:14Speaker 3: about example.
- 37:15Speaker 4: You know what, Joan, you bring up a really good
- 37:17Speaker 4: point because all three of us are old enough to
- 37:20Speaker 4: know that we have friends.
- 37:22Speaker 1: I certainly do. Who said I stayed married for the children?
- 37:27Speaker 1: I did.
- 37:27Speaker 2: I stayed the longest time, and we lived separately, but
- 37:30Speaker 2: we weren't fighters. But I stayed because of the kids,
- 37:34Speaker 2: and I'll never forget. After Dickie had moved out, my
- 37:37Speaker 2: boys came up to me in the kitchen, said, Mom.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Why did you wait so long? We knew you weren't happy.
- 37:42Speaker 2: I said, for you, Yeah, you know, I could have
- 37:45Speaker 2: maybe found a decent guy in forty at when I
- 37:49Speaker 2: was forty instead of waiting, you know what I mean.
- 37:52Speaker 4: And that's why you got to hand it to her,
- 37:55Speaker 4: because she said it sounds so stupid. But I saw
- 37:58Speaker 4: something on TikTok and it was like, quote, if your
- 38:02Speaker 4: daughter was in the relationship that you're in, would you
- 38:05Speaker 4: be proud or would you be disappointed? She said, while
- 38:09Speaker 4: trying to hold back tears. And she said, I would
- 38:12Speaker 4: have been really disappointed. That would have broken my heart.
- 38:15Speaker 4: That was my answer. So why do I deserve this?
- 38:19Speaker 1: Then?
- 38:19Speaker 4: And that to me shows me what a strong, emotionally
- 38:23Speaker 4: empowered woman she is to know she is not doing
- 38:27Speaker 4: Vienna any favors by staying married. That you teach your
- 38:31Speaker 4: children from strength, not from necessarily submission, because it might
- 38:35Speaker 4: be easier to hang in for ten years.
- 38:38Speaker 3: Yeah, And there's also part of me that thinks, you know,
- 38:40Speaker 3: if the marriage was not good, staying married. Their daughter's
- 38:44Speaker 3: really young. I think she will never remember life of
- 38:46Speaker 3: her with her mom and dad together, So the spite
- 38:49Speaker 3: is going to be so emotional for her. It's how
- 38:51Speaker 3: she will know life.
- 38:53Speaker 1: And you're so right.
- 38:55Speaker 4: My son got divorced from his first wife when my
- 38:59Speaker 4: granddaughter was not even quite three, and he's happily married
- 39:03Speaker 4: now to a wonderful woman who is a great step
- 39:07Speaker 4: mom to my granddaughter.
- 39:09Speaker 1: And she doesn't remember. You're absolutely right.
- 39:12Speaker 4: She doesn't remember her parents living together, and she has
- 39:15Speaker 4: a stable home with my son his wife, and I
- 39:19Speaker 4: think that's far more important than quote unquote staying together.
- 39:23Speaker 3: Staying together for the kids, and it makes it easier
- 39:26Speaker 3: on them. And like you said, you know, and like
- 39:28Speaker 3: you said, Susan, maybe both of them have a chance
- 39:30Speaker 3: of finding another love and it being the right one.
- 39:33Speaker 3: And you know, every experience we have is part of
- 39:36Speaker 3: the chapter that leads us to the next chapter. So
- 39:38Speaker 3: this was a chapter that they're closing and hopefully it
- 39:41Speaker 3: leads to a better chapter that they're over.
- 39:43Speaker 2: And it's a learning isn't that Everything happens in our
- 39:46Speaker 2: lives for a reason, so you learn from it, right.
- 39:49Speaker 4: You know what one thing we know for sure as
