Waitaki District declares state of emergency
Heavy rain has flooded homes and businesses in the Waitaki District. A welfare evacuation centre has been opened in Oamaru with more than 20 people choosing to leave their homes. Waitaki mayor Mel Tavendale spoke to Ingrid Hipkiss.
