🚨Silver WARNING!🚨 The COMEX/LBMA Trap is Set: What They Aren't Telling You! - Precious Metals NEWS · SILVER / GOLD / $UFD: Surviving Global Economic Shifts | RONS BASEMENT

0:01
The Chinese markets are closed. The trap is set.
0:04
The Comex and the LBMA, those manipulators of the silver and
0:09
gold price are in charge. But what aren't they telling you
0:14
that I will tell you. I'll go out on a limb and tell
0:17
you something very interesting about what can happen this week.
0:21
And we got a lot more to talk about.
0:23
Massive stories. This is probably the biggest
0:25
live stream we've ever done together.
0:27
Thank you for joining me down here.
0:29
We're going to talk talk about China.
0:30
We're going to talk about Elon Musk, something he said which
0:34
will put a smile on the face of every silver investor out there.
0:38
We've got some cool charts to look at that show very, very
0:43
optimistic scenarios for the silver price as we head into the
0:48
coming months, quarters and years.
0:51
And we're going to hear from the smartest financial mind in the
0:55
history of the world. First, we're going to talk about
0:59
you. Thank you for joining me down
1:00
here in the basement. Seriously, we hit 80,000
1:03
subscribers. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
1:06
But it's really, really only possible because of you.
1:10
So please do subscribe to the channel.
1:12
That way you'll get updated every time we go live, put out
1:14
new content. We want you to come back, right?
1:17
This is all about community. And again, thank you very much
1:20
from upstairs, Susie right there and myself, We appreciate it.
1:24
Let's go out. Remember, did you hear the price
1:27
of gold and silver are gonna are gonna crash this week because
1:31
the Chinese are celebrating New Year.
1:33
Let's go out right now and get an update on the silver price
1:37
and then we're gonna talk about something.
1:39
They aren't telling you about this, but I will tell you and
1:44
should be OK. Well, OK, so so far, so far it's
1:52
working. The silver price down 1 1/2
1:55
percent, $76.38. The gold price currently in the
2:01
spot market still over 5005 thousand and $28.00 per oz.
2:07
But guys, it is early and let's dive into let's hear what one of
2:12
the sharpest minds in the silver and gold trading market from
2:16
London has to say about what's happening this week.
2:20
And then I'm going to tell you what they aren't telling you.
2:22
I won't tease you with that anymore, but we're going to go
2:25
out here and listen to Nick Ward from Gold Bullion Partners in
2:31
London. He's an authority on the gold
2:34
and silver trading market and he had a conversation with Clive
2:39
Thompson. Here we go.
2:41
Let's listen to what he says. We're just going to listen to
2:43
the first minute of this video. But this guy is sharp.
2:47
This guy knows what he's talking about.
2:50
Let's hear what he has to say. How do we even start the the
2:52
markets going crazy? But in two days time, on
2:57
February the 15th to the 23rd, the Shanghai Metals Exchange
3:02
closes for the Chinese New Year, as you know.
3:05
And that's nine straight days with no physical price anchor
3:11
from the world's largest physical metals buyer.
3:14
And that means that the paper casino in the West is basically
3:20
going to lose its referee. So this is going to be the
3:24
manipulation zone, if you like. And every time Shanghai goes
3:29
dark, the COMEX Wizards come out and slam prices with phantom
3:35
selling and naked shorting. And in all likelihood, I think
3:39
they're going to try and flood the market in the next couple of
3:42
weeks with paper contracts backed by nothing, while retail
3:46
traders are going to panic sell or give up their physical at
3:51
massive discounts, which is obviously exactly what they
3:54
want. OK, so there we go.
3:56
That's what everybody is saying. Did you hear what he said?
4:00
The referee is gone, right? Because China is the physical
4:04
market. So now it's all in the hands of
4:06
the paper market, the LBMA, the Comex, the anchor that that the
4:12
the physical anchor for the price of silver and gold are
4:15
going to be temporarily gone. The sky is falling.
4:19
Remember the old saying, when the cat's away, the mice will
4:23
play. OK, So it's going to be
4:24
interesting to see how this plays out.
4:26
We're not going to give too much credence on what's happening
4:29
just right now. We are early.
4:31
The markets only been open for 20 minutes.
4:33
But I'm going to tell you what I believe is going to happen and
4:36
this is what they're not telling you.
4:38
I think one week from now, we got to pretty good shot that
4:42
we're going to be sitting here with a higher silver price.
4:45
Now don't make any financial decisions based upon that
4:49
proclamation. But if you ever noticed in the
4:51
past, I mean everybody's talking about how China's closed and the
4:56
COMEX in the LBMA and they're right, OK, they're right,
4:59
they're right. But I've been around long
5:01
enough. And if you realized if you
5:03
witnessed this as well that when everybody is anticipating that
5:08
something is going to happen in particular in the any type of
5:12
financial market, often times the opposite happens.
5:16
So I'll go out on a limb, right? Like I'm not making a bet, I'm
5:19
not putting a ton of money into this.
5:23
But I think that it's very likely that one week from
5:26
tonight on Sunday, what would that be the 22nd of February
5:32
that we're actually going to have a higher silver price.
5:34
It's not out of the question guys.
5:37
And and because what happens is people front run, right, the
5:42
markets are based on expectations.
5:44
So last week, right, in the last two weeks when everybody
5:48
expected that, oh, the Comex and the LBMA are going to smash the
5:51
silver price, they already made their bets.
5:54
OK, I'm telling you, and I won't go on any longer, but I think we
5:59
got a better than even chance that a week from now we're going
6:03
to be sitting here with what could be much higher prices in
6:08
silver and gold. I'll eat my words if I'm wrong.
6:10
And you know, I'm not a financial advisor.
6:13
Don't make any financial decisions.
6:14
But enough on that. And here, here's one that sums
6:17
it up. Is this how you're starting to
6:19
feel? Let's say goodbye to Nick Ward.
6:21
Thank you, Nick, for that awesome commentary.
6:24
But here we go. This I think sums it up from
6:27
silver Dijon. It said, it says, did you know
6:30
the price goes down this week, right?
6:32
Like everybody's talking about it and there's this guy.
6:36
This is from a famous movie. Uh oh, hold on.
6:38
Am I sharing? Yes, I am sorry.
6:42
A famous movie. He's got a gun to the other guy
6:45
saying, and he says, if you say China is on vacation one more
6:50
time, I dare you. So we'll see how this all plays
6:57
out. It's going to be super
6:58
interesting. But what about Elon Musk?
7:00
What did Elon Musk say? And I've got some two things
7:04
that nobody talks about when it comes to solar demand.
7:07
But what did Elon Musk say about solar demand?
7:09
And what data can we look at that?
7:12
We know demand for silver is going to continue to absolutely
7:17
skyrocket. Let's go out here and take a
7:19
look at this one. Elon had a very simple, powerful
7:22
tweet. Solar will utterly dominate.
7:27
OK, up there we go. Solar will utterly dominate
7:30
future electricity production. He was talking about this from
7:34
Katie Miller. She says solar.
7:36
And guys, when you think, hold on, I got to look at you, I
7:39
apologize. I apologize.
7:41
I'm sorry, forgot to tell you this.
7:44
When you think solar, you think silver.
7:47
OK. And when you look at the word
7:49
solar and you look at the word silver, right, they they start
7:52
with S, they end with R and they got an L in the middle.
7:56
And there's just a couple letters you got to mix up.
7:58
Solar and silver are like the same darn thing.
8:01
When you what, when you drive by one of those solar farms and
8:05
you're on the highway and you see hundreds and thousands of
8:08
solar panels, Don't look at them as solar panels.
8:10
Look at those as little, little silver bars.
8:13
Like as far as the I can see now, let's go back and there's
8:17
two interesting things here. And then I've got a perspective
8:20
that no one else is talking about with why other reasons why
8:24
solar will continue to explode. Solar is now the dominant source
8:28
of new US power capacity, the dominant source of new US power
8:34
power capacity, and is on track to surpass coal in total
8:39
installed capacity before the end of this year. 70 gigawatts
8:46
of new solar capacity is scheduled to come online in the
8:49
next two years, a 49% increase in operating solar capacity from
8:55
the end of 2025. Now, when we look at the bar
8:59
chart over here, OK, when we look on the left at the bar
9:03
chart, you can see solar right continuing to grow.
9:07
However, when we look about two things on this, I'm sorry,
9:13
right? Number one, it's growing, but #2
9:17
OK, it's not that huge even now. So it's got a lot of room to
9:22
grow. Look how much is made by natural
9:24
gas, right? Look at how much is made by
9:26
coal. And don't forget, right, coal's
9:29
going down the the the amount of solar or silver power generation
9:35
has a lot of room for growth. Now let's go over here, hold on
9:40
here, and look at the share of total US power generation.
9:46
And there is the yellow line. I'm a draw a red line underneath
9:49
it is solar. When we look at it on a line, a
9:52
line graph, it's obviously going up.
9:55
But wait, there's more. There's a lot, lot more.
9:58
Because what people don't talk about when it comes to solar
10:01
power, I've got it written down. I may have to look at my nose,
10:03
but there's a few huge benefits #1 the solar power is generated
10:08
right where typically it's consumed.
10:11
Obviously what I'm referring to are people that have solar pan
10:14
panels on their house, but it doesn't require any massive
10:19
infrastructure. Think about what's the, what's
10:21
the, the, the other metal that everybody's talking about,
10:24
copper. All those wires crisscrossed all
10:28
around the United States. We got them in our yard.
10:30
We got them that's made out of copper.
10:34
That's very, very expensive. Wait till you hear the stat that
10:37
I dug up on this. But right it it's, it's very
10:41
expensive. It's also very hard to maintain.
10:45
We have above ground power lines here.
10:47
Anytime there's a thunderstorm and the wind blows, the power
10:49
goes out and the electric company has to come out.
10:51
And those guys make like 600 bucks an hour.
10:54
OK, so think about that with solar.
10:57
If I had, if people put solar panels and as they get better on
11:00
their homes, the power is generated on your roof and go
11:03
straight into your house. You don't need all those wires,
11:07
right, which are made out of copper, which is very expensive
11:11
and very hard to maintain. OK.
11:13
And on top of that, I looked it up, apparently big electric
11:18
utilities, they spend half of their money on the transmission
11:23
of the, of the electricity, meaning on those wires on that,
11:27
it's expensive as well. OK, the, the outlook for solar
11:31
is incredible. And one more thing, the cherry
11:34
on top, when they ship electricity from the coal plant
11:39
to your house in those expensive copper wires, part of the
11:43
electricity gets lost. I thought it was more, but
11:46
according to my research, it's only like 5 to 7% because of
11:50
Transformers. But we're not here to become
11:52
electrical engineers. We're here to talk about solar
11:55
and silver. And guys, I don't care how you
11:58
slice it or dice it, I don't think anything really compared.
12:02
I know nuclear could be and I'm, I'm, I'm kind of pro nuclear
12:05
myself, but in terms of efficiency of electric
12:09
generation. And then I'll say this, think
12:11
about if you're, if you're a poor person in India, they
12:14
hardly have electric wires, whatever in India and you're
12:17
finally making some money. Those people in India love
12:20
silver to begin with. And you and you want some
12:22
electricity, even just a little bit of electricity.
12:25
You stick the panels 2 panels on the roof of your house you
12:28
generate the electricity electricity boom, it goes right
12:31
straight into your house and solar panels right there they
12:35
they're they they talk about thrifting they talk about
12:38
whatever at the end of the day, the solar industry is consuming
12:42
massive amounts of silver. Sorry, I got off on a tangent.
12:45
OK, all right, next we're going to talk.
12:47
We're going to look at the charts, three good things in the
12:49
charts when we look at silver, we're going to get to that next.
12:52
First, I do want to say thank you to channel sponsor first
12:56
meant they are the silver specialist.
12:59
That's all they do is make silver bullion products in Las
13:03
Vegas, NV, world class silver bullion products.
13:07
They get their silver from First Majestic who owns First Mint and
13:12
they ship the silver from Mexico to Las Vegas, NV.
13:15
And then when you become a customer, it gets shipped
13:19
straight to you from the mine to the mint to you.
13:22
The freshest silver on the market.
13:24
They do have a discount code for US in the Ron's Basement
13:28
community, VIPRB, like very important person Ron's basement.
13:33
Now let's go look at the charts. Jesse Colombo.
13:36
We love this guy Jesse Colombo. He writes A substat called the
13:39
Bubble Bubble Report. He's got like, I don't know,
13:42
thousands and thousands of people that subscribe and pay
13:46
and he puts out little teasers from time to time and he put out
13:49
this chart guys, it's got 3 great things.
13:52
I need my list. It's getting late. 3 great
13:54
things that are happy in the silver market right now.
13:59
Let's pull this up. There's Jesse again.
14:01
That's the bubble bubble report. He said despite recent
14:06
turbulence, silver remains in a strong uptrend and is hovering
14:11
near oversold levels, which is typical setup for a rebound in
14:16
here. Look at this chart.
14:18
There's three things on this chart that we want to look at #1
14:22
like he said, here's the range right here, the 70 to 70 to $80
14:27
support range, and so far so good.
14:31
We'll go check on the spot price of silver here in a little bit,
14:35
but we are still in this range it consolidating and when we
14:39
consolidate what that means is we're building a strong
14:42
foundation for future growth in the silver price.
14:46
All the short timers, you know, a few of those sheeple that may
14:50
have showed up right there leaving, they're gone and being
14:56
replaced by people that are buying silver, physical silver,
15:00
mostly because this is a physical rally, hand over fist.
15:05
So there's the support zone. That's number one.
15:07
OK #2 we've got this right here and upward sloping 200 day
15:14
moving average, which is a confirmed uptrend.
15:18
I'll take my drawing off there so we can see it.
15:21
But that line right here, I'll draw right underneath it.
15:24
That's the 200 day moving average.
15:27
That means every day it gets updated as to the last 200 days
15:33
of the closing silver price and it can and it's a big indicator
15:37
as to momentum in any market whatsoever.
15:41
The other cool thing that's going on is that from a
15:44
technical perspective, right as we can see you down here, silver
15:49
right, is near. I'll get rid of my circle near
15:52
being oversold, right? We're getting down there.
15:56
That's I believe the RSI indicator and we're back down
16:00
here. We were way up here overbought,
16:03
right, overbought and you can stay in these areas for long
16:06
periods of time. However, at some point when
16:09
you're overbought, you will you will come back back to reality
16:13
and same is true when you are oversold, you will come back to
16:17
reality. OK.
16:18
Let's talk about Wells Fargo in the gold market and then we're
16:23
going to listen to and talk about the sharpest mind in the
16:30
the economic world, the guy, the guy who in my opinion makes
16:35
Warren Buffett and I like Warren Buffett, no doubt, but like
16:38
Warren Buffett doesn't hold a key to this guy.
16:41
We're going to listen to what he says about precious metals and
16:44
then we're going to talk about the number one key as to why we
16:48
are here in the precious metals market.
16:51
I do want to say thank you two First Mining Gold for sponsoring
16:55
Ron's basement. They enable us to get together,
16:58
have these awesome live streams. First Mining Gold is the
17:01
development stage gold mining company.
17:04
They have two projects spring pull in Ontario du Parquet
17:08
located in Quebec Separately, they both each have millions of
17:12
Oz of gold in the ground. You can learn more about the
17:16
company at firstmininggold.com. Please remember I'm not a
17:20
financial advisor. Always do your own research and
17:24
in Full disclosure, I've owned the stock and I owned it for
17:27
years before they sponsored the channel.
17:30
All right guys, let's talk about the gold price.
17:31
What did Wells, we haven't talked about this for a while.
17:34
The big banks, the big banks are saying big things about gold and
17:39
by default silver and Wells Fargo came out with a shocker
17:44
recently when it comes to the gold price.
17:47
Here we go. This comes from the guru.
17:50
Hold on. Little tech issue there, the
17:53
guru focus. Let's see.
17:55
Hold on, guys. Oh, here we go.
17:57
Get you up to the top. Here we are.
17:59
Wells Fargo raises their 2026 gold price target amid market
18:05
volatility. And when we talk about gold,
18:08
we're talking about silver. You know, gold's the granddaddy
18:11
of the precious metal in yellow. Wells Fargo Investment Institute
18:15
has significant significantly increased its Gold price target
18:19
for the end of 2026 to up to $6300 per oz, up from the
18:27
previous range of 4500 to 4700. That's a huge increase.
18:33
This adjustment represents a rise of nearly 35%.
18:38
Despite recent fluctuations, gold remains appealing compared
18:42
to other market sectors, particularly amidst volatility
18:47
in tech and AI stocks. Yeah, go figure, right.
18:52
The key factors driving the appeal include central bank as
18:55
structural buyers and rising geopolitical and political
18:58
policy uncertainties. Remember that bunk deal that we
19:02
had on Thursday last week when a Bloomberg came out and said, oh,
19:07
apparently Russia is thinking about getting back into the
19:11
dollar trading system. And then we actually heard from
19:15
Russia, from the task new news agency and from the Russian
19:20
Central Bank that we weren't aware of this.
19:24
So, you know, the level of geopolitical uncertainty in the
19:27
world is not going anywhere. Interest rates remain critical
19:30
with markets pricing and there's something key here.
19:34
Potential rate cuts by 2026 reducing the opportunity cost of
19:38
holding non yielding assets like gold.
19:41
Guys, we got like a big potential bonus factor when it
19:46
comes to interest rates because that's actually wrong.
19:48
The, the big money on the on the on the CME Fedwatch tool is not
19:54
anticipating significant interest rate cuts at all.
19:58
OK. Yes, they are anticipating some
20:01
interest rate cuts, but nothing like the present.
20:04
President of the United States Donald Trump is saying that he
20:08
wants from his new head of the Federal Reserve, Mr. Wash.
20:13
So this could even get better. Wells Fargo anticipates policy
20:16
uncertainties and interest rate changes will continue to benefit
20:19
gold. Central banks remain pivotal
20:21
long term buyers. I don't know why I highlighted
20:24
this with significant gold purchases reported in recent
20:28
years. OK.
20:29
So yeah, the central banks are buying and I won't go down this
20:33
path too far, right? But so are so is the world's
20:37
biggest crypto company, Tether, who right behind the world
20:41
central banks has become the world's largest buyer of gold as
20:45
gold continues to get tokenized on a worldwide basis and being
20:49
backed up by real physical gold and a vault in Switzerland,
20:53
which I think it's going to become one of the major factors
20:56
driving demand for gold independent as to whether or not
21:00
people like crypto or not that doesn't matter when the world's
21:03
biggest crypto company is becoming the world's biggest
21:06
private buyer of gold. That is telling us something.
21:09
Oh, and by the way, their CEO, when asked publicly recently
21:13
what his price target for gold was, he said, I don't want to
21:16
tell you because you won't believe how high basically, I
21:20
think the gold price can go. What about Ray Dalio, the one
21:24
and only Ray Dalio? Ray Dalio is commonly referred
21:29
to as one of the sharpest minds in the economic and financial
21:34
world. This guy built the world's
21:36
biggest hedge fund, and he started it out of a spare
21:39
bedroom in his apartment with like, no money.
21:42
OK, He's super smart, and he's got something very important to
21:46
say about precious metals. Let's go see what Ray has to
21:49
say, and then I'm going to give you the Zenger.
21:53
On top of what he's saying, Ray Dalio's calling for gold to be
21:57
the world's new currency to replace the Fiat system.
22:02
This is 48 seconds long. Let's listen to what Ray has to
22:06
say. It's the beginning of the end of
22:11
the monetary system as we know it.
22:14
It's not just the US dollar, it's the Fiat monetary
22:17
currencies. So the UK, the euro, Japan,
22:22
China all have similar debt problems and so on and are
22:26
dealing with the same interrelationships, which is the
22:30
reason you're seeing gold being chosen by the central bank.
22:34
They want a currency. Gold has always been the main
22:38
currency and it's the only non Fiat currency.
22:42
In other words, not the currency that can't be printed that they
22:46
want. And so that's why you're seeing
22:48
central banks move and sovereign wealth funds move to gold.
22:52
And that's the nature of the shift of the monetary system.
22:56
The monetary system is changing right before our very eyes.
23:02
Ray Dalio talking about the potential downfall of the Fiat
23:07
system, right? The dollar, the euro, the yen,
23:11
even China he throws in there. But there's something very
23:14
important for us to take a step back and remember, super
23:20
important gold and silver have always been the world's reserve
23:27
currencies. Will you drill that into my
23:29
head? I have to keep reminding myself,
23:32
we get lost in the dollar dream, we get lost in the euro dream,
23:36
we. When you look at the long term
23:39
history of the world period, gold and silver have always been
23:45
the world reserve currencies. They're the one thing over
23:49
thousands of years that every human that ever lived could
23:53
agree on. And that is that they are
23:56
valuable always and everywhere. So what we're seeing right now,
24:01
what we're living through right now, this period of change like
24:04
none other that most of us have experienced, right, is, is truly
24:08
a watershed moment. OK, look, I love my country.
24:13
I'm sure you do too, whether in the United States or wherever
24:16
you are. But we probably don't if you
24:17
live in a country that has a Fiat currency like the US
24:21
dollar. We don't like what our leaders
24:23
have done over the last 50 to 60 years.
24:25
And that's OK To say that, OK, when the US dollar was backed by
24:29
gold up until 1971, when President Richard Nixon
24:33
temporarily took it off the gold standard, things were a lot
24:37
better. I was born in 1970, OK?
24:40
I remember growing up a very middle class, very humble
24:43
beginnings, OK, with the world's best parents.
24:47
They both worked, you know, my dad worked, but middle, middle
24:50
class and we had a good life. We went to Disney World, right?
24:55
Middle middle class now in this world does not have as good of a
24:59
life, in my opinion, as if they did not.
25:03
The young kids can't even buy houses anymore.
25:06
They're saying the Gen. ZI feel sorry for him.
25:09
Like they've got like almost no chance and they don't want to
25:11
have kids because they're like, how do how do we make this work?
25:15
Anyway, I digress. Gold and silver have always been
25:18
the world reserve currencies. Let's go ahead and check on the
25:21
the silver and gold price and see what has happened since we
25:25
have been live and we will go out.
25:28
OK, it's gotten a little better guys.
25:31
Here we are the world spot price.
25:32
I think silver was down, I don't know, like $1.50 when we looked
25:36
earlier, and now we're just down about $0.93.
25:41
Look, look, I know, we know this week China is on holiday, OK?
25:48
And everybody, I'm telling you, I'm telling you, and I could be
25:52
dead wrong and Ollie Crowe and you can throw eggs at me and
25:55
send me mean emails if you like, but I think we got a better
25:58
chance than even that. A week from now, the silver
26:02
price and the gold price are actually going to be higher.
26:06
I've seen this, this, this show so many times before, especially
26:11
in financial markets when everybody's saying, oh, this is
26:14
going to happen, this is going to happen.
26:16
I remember I'm old enough, you probably are too.
26:18
Remember Y2K when the year 2000 rolled over and all the lights
26:22
were supposed to go out and the markets were going to crash?
26:25
Actually, that's when I first started getting interested in
26:28
precious metals like as a, I guess I was a prepper at that
26:32
point, whatever. And then it was a nothing
26:35
burger. So anyway, it'll be interesting
26:38
to see how this week plays out. Think about this, just because
26:42
China is closed their precious metals trading markets, does
26:46
that mean that the solar panel industry is going to stop using
26:50
silver? Does that mean that the AI
26:52
sector is going to stop consuming massive amounts of
26:55
silver? Does that mean that the mining
26:57
companies are are going to suddenly start making a lot more
27:01
silver? No, none of that's true.
27:04
The fundamental story remains intact.
27:07
I want to say hi to a few people today upstairs.
27:09
Susie requested that. So hey, if you like, I'm going
27:12
to pull up in comments in the comments section.

There's big, big. Everybody's talking about this
28:56
$1000 silver. Somebody came up with a real
29:01
plausible path to $1000 silver. OK, I know it sounds outrageous.
29:07
It even sounds outrageous to me, but I'm going to break it down
29:10
for you because when you look at the actual numbers in history,
29:13
and I'm talking about recent ish history, it really, really is
29:18
possible. Hey, thank you.
29:19
I love you and your wife. You know what they say?
