- 0:01Speaker 1: What a sure, and we're right into another new hour. Yeah,
- 0:07Speaker 1: insensitivity training for a politically correct world. Wooding, Greg Cannis
- 0:11Speaker 1: Junius Brown phones open Wooding text us over to two
- 0:18Speaker 1: two nine eighty seven. Hope you had a great three
- 0:20Speaker 1: day holiday weekend weekend, holiday weekend.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Cheers and jeers. Greg gory Well, cheers to accomplishing a
- 0:28Speaker 2: lifelong goal of making the perfect steak. That's not true,
- 0:37Speaker 2: that is true, that's not true.
- 0:39Speaker 1: You you told us a handful of months ago that
- 0:42Speaker 1: you would finally got it right. You would not figure
- 0:45Speaker 1: you had finally figured it out, that I topped it right.
- 0:49Speaker 1: And this whole thing I've never made a good stake.
- 0:51Speaker 1: He was in here, bragg in a handful of months.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Compared to that one that was garbage, this one was
- 0:56Speaker 2: a plus, straight from heaven. I thought it was restaurant level,
- 1:01Speaker 2: and I made it in the most basic way, in
- 1:03Speaker 2: a pan who went with RIBI full marbling, and I
- 1:08Speaker 2: put a pad of margarine in the thing, okay, And
- 1:11Speaker 2: I don't know if that was the magic touch. I
- 1:13Speaker 2: think you would be but only crap. It was so perfect,
- 1:16Speaker 2: perfect sere, and I thought I did it. I finally
- 1:19Speaker 2: did it.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Was it like medium, medium, rare.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Medium ish, And I thought, I can't top this. I'll
- 1:25Speaker 2: never do it again ever, Like the one I made before, crap,
- 1:28Speaker 2: Compared to this, it was so good.
- 1:31Speaker 1: I forget what your method was that last one that
- 1:33Speaker 1: you did. I don't said you got.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Right, But no, this one, I think I used a
- 1:37Speaker 2: different pan maybe, And it was just the perfect steak.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Was it the same cut, because that is the I
- 1:43Speaker 1: think that is the perfect cut.
- 1:44Speaker 2: I only do Ribbi, I won't do any other steak.
- 1:48Speaker 2: So I was thrilled. I was very pleased with myself.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Was it just like a little salt and pepper, little
- 1:52Speaker 1: salt and pepper.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Wow, that's it on the on a pan with margarine
- 1:56Speaker 2: in it. And it was awesome.
- 1:58Speaker 3: And you left the steak alone, let it move it around,
- 2:01Speaker 3: didn't move it around.
- 2:02Speaker 4: Using a picture of your plate before you eat.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Now, how are.
- 2:07Speaker 1: We going to believe it?
- 2:08Speaker 2: It will never be that good again. I can't top it.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Jeers to having a new addiction. So I ran. I
- 2:16Speaker 2: ran out of fake money on my fake slot machine gun,
- 2:20Speaker 2: so I thought, well, crap, I can't play it. I'm
- 2:23Speaker 2: not going to spend another penny on this.
- 2:25Speaker 3: You didn't put any more real money for you put more.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Real money into it. So I came up with the
- 2:29Speaker 2: new game. And now I'm hopelessly addicted to uncrossed by wordscapes.
- 2:34Speaker 2: So it's like you have the letters S, T, E
- 2:37Speaker 2: A M. So you do like steam te tea's seat
- 2:41Speaker 2: same meat like that. Oh my god, I went down
- 2:45Speaker 2: the rabbit hole of this for hours. I delayed anything productive.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I delayed anything fun because I'm like, I can't get up.
- 2:53Speaker 2: It was so good.
- 2:54Speaker 3: You didn't have to pay right, No, it's free.
- 2:56Speaker 2: You have to watch stupid ads in between puzzles. But god,
- 2:59Speaker 2: it's fun. And it's just a new addiction that I
- 3:03Speaker 2: need help.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Yeah, Greg does a very addictive personality. So whether it's
- 3:08Speaker 1: something like that or like a food item to go
- 3:12Speaker 1: crazy on peanut.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Butter M and MS totally, which I'm back on.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Which is one of the reasons. And I think you
- 3:18Speaker 1: and I are the same this way. Like drugs, like
- 3:22Speaker 1: you probably wouldn't be a good idea. Like if I
- 3:23Speaker 1: ever tried cocaine, I'd probably love it. I'll never and
- 3:26Speaker 1: there would be a big problem, right, And I've been
- 3:28Speaker 1: around it before, and I thought, no, I'll just pass it.
- 3:31Speaker 1: To the next person not going to do it. Another example.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I'm sure a lot of people remember me telling the story.
- 3:36Speaker 1: But like years ago, the station I worked for, we
- 3:39Speaker 1: had a Christmas party. It was at a bowling alley.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Has such a great time. I joined the league. Yeah yeah,
- 3:45Speaker 1: I went out and about the bowling ball, about the shoes,
- 3:48Speaker 1: the whole thing. Yeah yeah, Like my Thursday nights were
- 3:51Speaker 1: spoken for it. It was so lame, but I had such
- 3:54Speaker 1: a great time. This is why again no cocaine.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Yeah, it would be a problem anything that I go
- 4:00Speaker 2: get into even slightly all in, which is why I
- 4:03Speaker 2: can't get a video game console because you never see
- 4:05Speaker 2: you again. Forget it. I'd never come to work.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Uh Sammy weekend cheers and jeers.
- 4:11Speaker 4: My cheers is to seeing friends. I saw a bunch
- 4:15Speaker 4: of people this weekend and we went to.
- 4:17Speaker 2: A new tiki bar in town.
- 4:19Speaker 5: It's very exclusive and difficult to get into actually, and
- 4:22Speaker 5: it was cool. They had a little effects, all these
- 4:24Speaker 5: like lights and stuff that like when you order a
- 4:26Speaker 5: certain drink, like the octopus on the wall lights up
- 4:30Speaker 5: and it's the pirate starts talking at some point, Oh.
- 4:35Speaker 2: The room. Is there anything about tiki bars? Oh? They're
- 4:38Speaker 2: super fun. I related to this one person and I
- 4:42Speaker 2: know who's so into it. It's his whole life. Oh
- 4:45Speaker 2: I know someone like that too. That's why I guess
- 4:47Speaker 2: why I have it. He made his apartment like a tiki.
- 4:52Speaker 2: It's weird personality, it's weird. And then it gets all
- 4:55Speaker 2: the cops ceramic mugs.
- 5:00Speaker 3: You want to display those.
- 5:01Speaker 2: It's kind of tacky, right, it's tacky, it's hokey.
- 5:04Speaker 1: I'm not saying it can't be fun, and I think
- 5:06Speaker 1: in the right environment, you know.
- 5:07Speaker 3: What I mean, super friends, but it can't be your
- 5:10Speaker 3: neighborhood bar. You can't go there all the time.
- 5:13Speaker 1: White chicks put beads in their hair because they went
- 5:15Speaker 1: to the Bahamas.
- 5:16Speaker 6: There.
- 5:17Speaker 1: It's cool, it's great, and I'm sure it's like it's
- 5:20Speaker 1: all part of the thing. And the minute you step
- 5:21Speaker 1: off the plane your back home.
- 5:23Speaker 2: It's like, right, kind of a weird choice.
- 5:25Speaker 1: But we're not talking about people making it their life,
- 5:27Speaker 1: just actually just going to them.
- 5:28Speaker 2: But they're tacky. It's tacky.
- 5:31Speaker 3: What are you guys talking about? She said in Octopus
- 5:33Speaker 3: lights up on the bar?
- 5:35Speaker 1: Are you not getting glad you had a good time?
- 5:38Speaker 1: I'm just asking what's the general vibe on on tiki bars,
- 5:41Speaker 1: because I think it's by association. You have like a
- 5:44Speaker 1: name association, you know, and like you say a name
- 5:47Speaker 1: and immediately you think, okay, dork fat whatever it is, right,
- 5:53Speaker 1: like Debbie fat right.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Like, uh, when I.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Think when someone says tiki bar, there's some people I know,
- 6:00Speaker 1: and there's a type. There's a type of person that
- 6:02Speaker 1: the tiki bar tracks kind of nerdy middle aged man,
- 6:07Speaker 1: not even middle age, like I've seen a lot of
- 6:08Speaker 1: young but like even the younger, Like it's all the same,
- 6:11Speaker 1: whether they're young or old, it's all kind of the
- 6:13Speaker 1: same person.
- 6:15Speaker 2: I can see it in my head.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Right, So, are you going to go back?
- 6:18Speaker 2: Is that going to be your new place? No?
- 6:20Speaker 7: The problem for me with that place was, which is
- 6:23Speaker 7: very strange and I don't understand, was that they only
- 6:26Speaker 7: had hard alcohol.
- 6:27Speaker 4: And they're like mixed tiki drinks. They didn't have beer
- 6:30Speaker 4: or wine at all.
- 6:31Speaker 3: It was just my ties.
- 6:32Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Really, I didn't know that Tigu bars didn't have beer.
- 6:36Speaker 3: That's not the vibe.
- 6:37Speaker 4: Yeah, it was not. So, Yeah, it was really strange.
- 6:41Speaker 3: It has to be served in like half a totem pole.
- 6:43Speaker 7: There they came in like little fish shape bowls and
- 6:45Speaker 7: such school and my gears, my gears is to compromising
- 6:51Speaker 7: because it's the worst and I don't want to do it.
- 6:54Speaker 8: But not.
- 6:57Speaker 4: With the floors, but because right now, because the floors
- 6:59Speaker 4: have been or and.
- 7:00Speaker 1: So sam he's moving in with her boyfriend, like to
- 7:03Speaker 1: his place that he's already been in. He owns it,
- 7:05Speaker 1: right yeah, yeah, and so she's moving in, so of
- 7:08Speaker 1: course changes have to be These are the floors that
- 7:11Speaker 1: you had with your ex wife or girlfriend or whatever
- 7:12Speaker 1: the situation was. Sammy will not be walking on floors
- 7:16Speaker 1: and some other chick walked on.
- 7:17Speaker 7: Memory yeahes demands, so it's not even about the floors.
- 7:21Speaker 7: We're doing more stuff before the floors get put in,
- 7:24Speaker 7: which is just painting, cleaning stuff out, cleaning out the kitchen.
- 7:27Speaker 4: He's been there for ten years.
- 7:28Speaker 3: I don't think he's.
- 7:29Speaker 4: Cleaned out that kitchen one time.
- 7:30Speaker 7: He also stores random things in there, like he has
- 7:33Speaker 7: like masquerade masks and like his kitchen cabinet because he
- 7:37Speaker 7: has a joke, because he has he has a lot
- 7:39Speaker 7: of story.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Why they have to be so close to what started
- 7:45Speaker 1: as a joke. I know, every day becoming more and
- 7:48Speaker 1: more real.
- 7:49Speaker 7: Why Sam go to like a themed party one time?
- 7:51Speaker 7: But he had his Okay, he has a lot of
- 7:55Speaker 7: storage in his kitchen and not a lot in other places,
- 7:59Speaker 7: So it turned in like junk cabinets in his kitchen
- 8:03Speaker 7: for extra.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Stories, wait until you find the cod pieces.
- 8:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:10Speaker 7: And so it's been a lot of like getting rid
- 8:13Speaker 7: of this or where we you know, do we really
- 8:15Speaker 7: need to keep this in the kitchen or can we
- 8:17Speaker 7: put it somewhere else?
- 8:17Speaker 4: Can this go in storage?
- 8:18Speaker 9: Can they?
- 8:19Speaker 7: And it's just like it's been so much of cleaning
- 8:22Speaker 7: stuff out and going like how necessary is so?
- 8:25Speaker 10: What?
- 8:25Speaker 1: Let me ask you a question, Like you're compromising this stuff?
- 8:28Speaker 1: This is your compromise for what is he compromising for you?
- 8:31Speaker 1: What do you In other words, you're coming in with
- 8:33Speaker 1: your own demands and things and whatever that you have
- 8:35Speaker 1: to You know that he's going to have to compromise
- 8:37Speaker 1: on because you come in doing things a certain way
- 8:40Speaker 1: or wanting things a certain way. So you're talking about
- 8:42Speaker 1: your compromise, like what's his compromise?
- 8:44Speaker 4: No, we both have to compromise, and it sucks.
- 8:45Speaker 7: He's I mean, he's compromising by getting rid of things
- 8:48Speaker 7: and moving stuff around and having things different.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Give us some examples, like what like what you like?
- 8:54Speaker 1: What are you having him do that he has to
- 8:55Speaker 1: compromise on.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Is he going to throw the masks away? What do
- 8:58Speaker 2: you needs?
- 8:59Speaker 7: I don't know what he did with those masks, honestly,
- 9:02Speaker 7: but it's it's that he is very just attached to
- 9:06Speaker 7: the way he lives and how he does things.
- 9:09Speaker 4: So anything that I think is minor, he's.
- 9:11Speaker 1: What do you put your foot down so far? And said, no,
- 9:13Speaker 1: this is how it needs to be.
- 9:14Speaker 4: And he's like, all right, you guys, this is so bad.
- 9:18Speaker 7: He keeps food like way past the expiration day and
- 9:23Speaker 7: says that it's fine.
- 9:25Speaker 4: One of those I can't. I needed to throw stuff away.
- 9:31Speaker 4: I mean literally we're talking eight years, seven years.
- 9:38Speaker 7: Like I mean, there's like sugar I guess, which technically
- 9:42Speaker 7: doesn't go bad, but still like you're obviously not using
- 9:45Speaker 7: it because it's seven years old, and like sugar oats
- 9:49Speaker 7: other stuff that he says are dry.
- 9:51Speaker 4: But can't.
- 9:51Speaker 7: I mean, but all all of the vinegar type stuff,
- 9:55Speaker 7: salad dressings, all this stuff. He's like, that doesn't go
- 9:57Speaker 7: bad and I cannot is I can't. I'm like you
- 10:02Speaker 7: if it's been here for this long. I need to
- 10:04Speaker 7: get rid of this. I will buy you new ones.
- 10:07Speaker 3: But never turns like a mother.
- 10:09Speaker 6: No.
- 10:10Speaker 7: Yes, I don't know because then I looked it up
- 10:12Speaker 7: and I guess it doesn't and it's stable for like.
- 10:15Speaker 4: A really long time and never really goes bad.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Experience with that, I think anything you open, yeah, trust
- 10:24Speaker 1: and something like sugar.
- 10:26Speaker 4: Or X would have used it too, So you've got
- 10:27Speaker 4: to get rid.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Of She bought it to die ester eggs. You don't know.
- 10:31Speaker 4: I don't know, but yeah, that'd be horrible.
- 10:34Speaker 7: But yeah, he has this weird attachment to like, no,
- 10:36Speaker 7: it's wasting money.
- 10:38Speaker 4: It's only here that there's expiration dates on stuff.
- 10:40Speaker 7: These things are actually shelf stable, and I'm like, I
- 10:42Speaker 7: don't think they're being stored in the way that they need.
- 10:44Speaker 4: To be to still be good.
- 10:47Speaker 7: And it was like a battle to get rid of
- 10:49Speaker 7: like who then I'm like, you're hoarding old things.
- 10:52Speaker 4: I don't get it. Yeah, but he cooks what I
- 10:56Speaker 4: don't cook. He's the one who's always cooking, and he's like,
- 10:59Speaker 4: it's fun. You're being dramatic.
- 11:01Speaker 3: You've been eating it the whole time, and you didn't
- 11:03Speaker 3: know it was fifteen years old.
- 11:04Speaker 2: I do kind of have horder tendencies with food. Yeah,
- 11:07Speaker 2: you know, like I've moved five times in the last
- 11:10Speaker 2: fifteen years, and I've moved with a package of pasta
- 11:13Speaker 2: the entire time, Like it's just gone with.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Me everywhere or now it's just kind of a thing.
- 11:18Speaker 2: Right, that's like I got to take the pasta, you know,
- 11:20Speaker 2: the bottle of vodka that I've had for twenty years.
- 11:23Speaker 7: Don't you want a certain point go, I guess I
- 11:25Speaker 7: don't eat this pasta because I still like, what are
- 11:28Speaker 7: you holding on to it for?
- 11:29Speaker 2: Right?
- 11:30Speaker 1: It's like a very old people think like they love like,
- 11:34Speaker 1: I don't know, bread, They'll be in the freezer.
- 11:36Speaker 2: For like three years for generations.
- 11:39Speaker 1: My grandfather used to keep you know, he would have
- 11:40Speaker 1: like something steak or whatever in the freezer.
- 11:43Speaker 2: He would just cut the part off whatever, and oh
- 11:45Speaker 2: my god. Yeah, I hate freezing. Old people love that
- 11:48Speaker 2: me too. Freezing sound.
- 11:50Speaker 3: Once it goes in the freezer, it's forgotten.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, you're absolutely right.
- 11:54Speaker 1: I have that the deep freeze thing and the garage.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Anything goes in there. It's a hiding place. I can
- 12:00Speaker 1: put Christmas presents in there and they would never be
- 12:02Speaker 1: found again. To be like Clark Griswold finding old things
- 12:05Speaker 1: as she's locked up in the attic. Yeah, yeah, well
- 12:10Speaker 1: that's what it is.
- 12:11Speaker 3: Right.
- 12:11Speaker 1: You could talk about that, right, Morgan, Like when you
- 12:14Speaker 1: move in with somebody, you got to start with the
- 12:16Speaker 1: compromising and you know, because not just your way anymore.
- 12:20Speaker 4: That's true, And that's a whole another layer of you're
- 12:23Speaker 4: romantically involved.
- 12:24Speaker 2: So because you're closer.
- 12:28Speaker 1: See, And this is why I believe it's super important.
- 12:30Speaker 1: I know the Bible says otherwise, and the religious po
- 12:33Speaker 1: people and the moms and will tell you differently, like
- 12:35Speaker 1: you shouldn't live in sin or whatever before you get married.
- 12:39Speaker 1: I think it's super important, Like before you get married,
- 12:42Speaker 1: let's find out if you can coexist together.
- 12:43Speaker 2: It's one thing to be dating and you have.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Your place and they have their place, and you meet
- 12:47Speaker 1: up and most of the time you're staying over.
- 12:48Speaker 2: It's still not your place together.
- 12:52Speaker 1: And figuring out and figuring out if you can actually
- 12:55Speaker 1: live together with somebody.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Is a whole exercise.
- 12:59Speaker 1: And everything else can be perfect, but it just turns
- 13:01Speaker 1: out you just can't live together. Wouldn't that be nice
- 13:04Speaker 1: to know before you got married?
- 13:06Speaker 6: Hell?
- 13:06Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I think so too.
- 13:09Speaker 3: I think that should actually be a requirement before you
- 13:11Speaker 3: get married.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Six to six. I'm not even moving in with Sammy.
- 13:14Speaker 2: I already want to move out. Yeah they doing you're
- 13:19Speaker 2: doing it. Yeah, I can feel what he show.
- 13:26Speaker 1: And they do a nice job on ABC with Golden Bachelorette,
- 13:32Speaker 1: they're showing like there's not to be all these like
- 13:34Speaker 1: young hot people can be uh oldie people who are
- 13:39Speaker 1: age on them in the manionship.
- 13:40Speaker 11: You say they do a nice job, but the last
- 13:42Speaker 11: Bachelorette doesn't even happen because yeah.
- 13:45Speaker 2: That happens.
- 13:46Speaker 1: That happened, I'm saying, but you know, the uh, they
- 13:49Speaker 1: have a nice they have.
- 13:50Speaker 2: A nice the intentions are good.
- 13:52Speaker 1: It's nice. Yeah, yeah, right right away. I just think
- 13:55Speaker 1: that ours is much better. What do you show a
- 13:57Speaker 1: gold not the Golden bats Red, a golden Bachter Because
- 14:00Speaker 1: there's all these like older women. It might have been like,
- 14:03Speaker 1: you know, fun young sluts at one point and now,
- 14:06Speaker 1: but what happens when.
- 14:06Speaker 2: You're old slut?
- 14:08Speaker 1: Yeah yeah yeah, And so's they're still out there trying
- 14:12Speaker 1: to make it happen. They're on these websites and so
- 14:14Speaker 1: Sea Bass goes on there and he's talking to them,
- 14:17Speaker 1: But he's not being creepy and disgusting like a lot of.
- 14:19Speaker 2: The other guys that are on there are being real.
- 14:22Speaker 1: He's saying nice things. Now what's fun is that he's
- 14:25Speaker 1: got to type the messages in. It's not like a
- 14:27Speaker 1: voice thing.
- 14:28Speaker 11: I can't actually speak to them or they can't see me,
- 14:30Speaker 11: so it's so what you have to hear is the
- 14:32Speaker 11: typed out version of what I'm saying, right.
- 14:34Speaker 1: So like it's like one of those text speech kind
- 14:37Speaker 1: of things.
- 14:37Speaker 11: The other thing to know is that when I give
- 14:39Speaker 11: them money or coins, they'll hear the little chin. They
- 14:41Speaker 11: are hooked up to a personal massage device, so they
- 14:46Speaker 11: may have involunt.
- 14:48Speaker 1: They could put it where they want to, right, And
- 14:50Speaker 1: so yeah, that's when you hear that little chin, that
- 14:52Speaker 1: is sea bass tipping them. Might you might wonder why
- 14:55Speaker 1: are they sounding different all of a sudden.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Wouldn't you be excited to get thirty five cents?
- 14:59Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 14:59Speaker 2: I think so, And that's basically what the tip is.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Yeah, that cut.
