- 0:02No, be afraid.
- 0:06Be very afraid.
- 0:15Jon: I do before I kill him.
- 0:18Kearns: Wow.
- 0:19Ryan: This
- 0:19Kearns: Wow.
- 0:20Ryan: Much
- 0:21Kearns: I'm just happy after camera troubles.
- 0:23I'm just happy we see John.
- 0:26Jon: You and me both.
- 0:28There's one I can tell you about movies.
- 0:31I can find movies for you.
- 0:32I cannot fix anything on a computer.
- 0:35Kearns: The techie side gets a little tricky, but we made it everybody.
- 0:39And this is Xenomania, the first episode that we are doing
- 0:42in the new year, 2026, baby.
- 0:45Officially season two.
- 0:47Ryan: Yep.
- 0:47Jon: Yeah.
- 0:48Happy New Year's Maniacs.
- 0:50Ryan: New Year.
- 0:51This is gonna be a great season.
- 0:52we got a lot coming up, especially with this Goldie of an oldie,
- 0:56I think we can call it an
- 0:57Jon: Goldie of an Oldie, a Goldie.
- 0:59Ryan: oh, so.
- 1:02Kearns: He's the goldies.
- 1:03Besides maybe Dolly Parton, if you want to go that route.
- 1:05Ryan: Kurt Russell referenced so early on.
- 1:08He's, he'll be, he'll be making an appearance later this year.
- 1:10I'm excited for that.
- 1:11Now we're talking about the Sixth Sense, ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:15The first M Knight Shamoon production.
- 1:20Yeah.
- 1:20Jon: enough,
- 1:21Ryan: First
- 1:21Jon: close enough.
- 1:22Ryan: And he hits it out of the ballpark.
- 1:24I followed this group called Film Enquirer on Instagram.
- 1:27Nice little shout out there.
- 1:29And, they asked people what their first film was to watch for 2026,
- 1:33and I said, the sixth Sense.
- 1:35And they actually commented and they were like, know, there's a twist in it.
- 1:38And I said, yeah, you know, and it's great for first time viewers, which
- 1:42we all aren't first time viewers.
- 1:44We of course saw this back in 1999.
- 1:46but it's good for nostalgic reasons.
- 1:49It's a good movie, in my opinion.
- 1:51It's still holds up, though you can tell he's dead.
- 1:55Spoiler.
- 1:58Jon: Right off the bat, I mean, listen, you had 26 plus
- 2:01years to not have this spoiled,
- 2:03I mean, if somehow you've gotten this far without 6 cents being spoiled, I mean,
- 2:09Kearns: Now
- 2:10Ryan: There
- 2:10Jon: congratulations.
- 2:11Ryan: are some people who don't know, know, about this film or have
- 2:16just heard of it and are curious.
- 2:17So it's interesting to see that dynamic.
- 2:20Especially, I mean, again, like I said, we were all a part of the
- 2:24time when it first premiered 1999.
- 2:27Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 2:28Ryan: like just crazy.
- 2:30It was a crazy time for this.
- 2:33Jon: Yeah.
- 2:33Kearns: got a, of spoiling it, he's got a clip circulating.
- 2:37He is a standup comedian.
- 2:39Really dry humor.
- 2:40And he goes into, and as he's starting it up, he is like, and if you haven't
- 2:43seen it yet, it's been 26 years.
- 2:45Like you can, it's, it's your fault.
- 2:49He
- 2:49Jon: Yep.
- 2:50Kearns: but he, the whole bit is about how it's more believable that
- 2:53his wife didn't talk to him for like a year it was that he was dead.
- 2:57That's why men didn't notice the twist at all.
- 3:00It's pretty funny.
- 3:01Jon: But
- 3:02Kearns: it greatly.
- 3:02Ryan: I can agree with that.
- 3:04Jon: the thing with that is he really makes no effort to talk to her either.
- 3:10And he may you, you watch him and he like, he re Yeah.
- 3:15Yeah.
- 3:16Absolutely.
- 3:17if you get that intuition that the wife is mad, you kind of shut your
- 3:21mouth or you do what I tend to do and put your foot right, right.
- 3:25Deeply in your mouth and make everything way worse.
- 3:30Kearns: Yeah, that's one of my method too.
- 3:32But I've seen some pretty interesting, um, non-functioning marriages
- 3:35where it's just like icy silence
- 3:38Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 3:39Kearns: long periods of time.
- 3:41You're like, Ooh, waspy.
- 3:43Jon: Yep.
- 3:46Ryan: But it's the little tells.
- 3:47You can, see like especially rewatching it this weekend when she's like in
- 3:51bed and he checks on her and she pulls the cover a little more tightly.
- 3:56Or like, she's like warming her hands and you know, each time.
- 4:02The door.
- 4:03It's just interesting,
- 4:04Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 4:05Or, she's got another man over when she should know that he's in the house.
- 4:12Ryan: Yeah, As a first watch that's like, holy shit.
- 4:18Like what is this chick doing right now?
- 4:20Like, she's so unhappy.
- 4:22And then as you're like, after watching, you're like, oh man,
- 4:25I feel bad for Bruce Willis.
- 4:27He doesn't even
- 4:27Kearns: Yeah.
- 4:29Jon: See, I,
- 4:30Kearns: know.
- 4:31Jon: I ne I, I never had that going though.
- 4:34I never had that, watching it even the first time that's where things
- 4:38started to sort of go off in my brain that, uh, something's not as it seems,
- 4:45is they never showed, I mean, the, the only part of their relationship
- 4:50they showed was them happy and then him getting shot by a new kid.
- 4:56Ryan: Yeah.
- 4:58Yeah, it's pretty quick.
- 5:01Quick
- 5:02Kearns: lead up in like startup before things get supernatural and
- 5:06stuff, you sort of forget about by design because you're like, okay,
- 5:10he's a psychotherapist or whatever.
- 5:12A kid shrink he's well renowned and he is rich and his life is good.
- 5:17Oh, things have changed.
- 5:19Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 5:19Kearns: like immediately segues over to what's his face, what's the kid's name?
- 5:23Ryan: Haley, Joel Osman,
- 5:25Kearns: Hailey Joel Osmond, who was, that was a name that was so popular back then.
- 5:29He just popped up in, um, happy Gilmore too, to sum ACC claim.
- 5:34And, uh,
- 5:35Ryan: It's his
- 5:36Jon: He was just doing something else that I saw too, really recently.
- 5:41Kearns: he's making money again.
- 5:42But he looks different.
- 5:44He's not
- 5:44Jon: Oh, yeah.
- 5:45Kearns: kid anymore.
- 5:46Jon: he's a scruffy 30 something year old guy now.
- 5:50Kearns: he's a bey beer drinking man.
- 5:53And he probably still sees dead people.
- 5:55But yeah, the movie kinda like rolls right into that.
- 5:58And you get into your mite Shalan shenanigans Mite Shama Lanigan's where
- 6:04he's, know, and I, I'm only, when I watched Six Sense I didn't mind because
- 6:10I hadn't seen the same tricks 47 times.
- 6:14after the happening and Devil and Lady in
- 6:17Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 6:18Kearns: and the freaking village, that one pissed me off the most.
- 6:21'cause that movie had every right to be good.
- 6:24It really did.
- 6:25Ryan: until
- 6:25Kearns: And it was not.
- 6:27Ryan: The big
- 6:27Kearns: Yeah.
- 6:27Ryan: in the middle.
- 6:28Oh,
- 6:28Kearns: Uh,
- 6:28Ryan: road, there's cars.
- 6:30Kearns: I was scared of the killer Yellow.
- 6:35Jon: Yeah, I mean, he uses colors.
- 6:38I mean, in sixth sense it's red,
- 6:40Kearns: Mm-hmm.
- 6:41Ryan: Yeah.
- 6:42Red
- 6:42Jon: but, you know, he, I remember this movie coming out and there being a, oh,
- 6:47next, Hitchcock next, this one next.
- 6:50And I mean, he's been fine.
- 6:52Kearns: He's still riding that high.
- 6:54He's
- 6:54Jon: He's
- 6:54Kearns: that
- 6:54Jon: fine.
- 6:55Kearns: Even
- 6:55Jon: He's,
- 6:56Kearns: disappointed in the like by, you know, you let it go long
- 6:59enough, just like his career and it
- 7:02Jon: yep.
- 7:02Kearns: to get disappointing.
- 7:04Ryan: I wanna know who compared him to Hitchcock.
- 7:05'cause that,
- 7:06Jon: Oh, it was,
- 7:08Ryan: That's a
- 7:08Jon: that was a,
- 7:09Ryan: comparison.
- 7:10Jon: was a big thing after Sixth Sense, like.
- 7:13I mean, he was like, he was gonna be the next big, huge deal, and like
- 7:18maybe for 10 years he kind of was.
- 7:20And then it was, oh, this is really a one trick pony.
- 7:23He's just, every, there's a twist.
- 7:25So every movie, you just wait for the twist?
- 7:28Kearns: they don't pay off.
- 7:29They don't like it happening.
- 7:31What was the twist there?
- 7:32Ryan: trees.
- 7:34Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 7:35Kearns: That happenings twist.
- 7:36Was it?
- 7:37They decided to stop killing everyone.
- 7:39Ryan: Did anyone see trap?
- 7:41Like what was
- 7:42Kearns: Yeah,
- 7:42Ryan: Was that was him?
- 7:43He wrote and directed that.
- 7:45I was looking it up.
- 7:46It was so there were a
- 7:46Kearns: it wasn't so
- 7:48Jon: Sort of.
- 7:49Kearns: He, um, she like brings him into that.
- 7:52His daughter is the pop star in that movie, the director daughter.
- 7:56Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 7:58Kearns: they bring, Josh Hartnett her house.
- 8:02Like she switched Aussies at, they kind of switched directions.
- 8:06Is that the twist you're talking about, John?
- 8:07Where they like bring her into it as a main character?
- 8:11Jon: I mean, I haven't watched it, but based on what I know
- 8:13of it, it's kind of the twist.
- 8:15That trap is a setup.
- 8:18You know, they're setting Josh Hartnett up the whole time.
- 8:23Kearns: Yeah.
- 8:23Ryan: Okay.
- 8:24Kearns: The, the whole movie's about him knowing about it and trying to
- 8:26Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 8:27Yeah.
- 8:28Kearns: they switch settings to, residents and they like
- 8:31get him, but he gets away again
- 8:33Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 8:34Kearns: well, he'll come back and he does.
- 8:36And that's like the end
- 8:37Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 8:38Kearns: because
- 8:39Jon: I,
- 8:39Kearns: came back to kill his wife,
- 8:42Jon: I don't even know.
- 8:43Kearns: to kill.
- 8:44Jon: I don't know either.
- 8:45But I mean,
- 8:46Kearns: movie.
- 8:47Jon: listen,
- 8:47Ryan: twist
- 8:48Jon: the real whole reason, for Trap, I think is to expose his daughter singing
- 8:53more than it is to, you know, make a, movie that people are gonna go wild for.
- 8:59Kearns: Yeah.
- 9:00Like that's not a real good like.
- 9:02twist in, the village was that it was in modern day.
- 9:05Jon: Yeah.
- 9:06Kearns: the twisty twist.
- 9:08twist in signs was the, the water cups were relevant
- 9:13Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 9:14Kearns: were like susceptible and like swing away was to swing away at the alien.
- 9:18That was kind of
- 9:18Jon: Yeah, yeah.
- 9:19Kearns: right?
- 9:21I don't even know if there's a twist in Devil.
- 9:22Devil was such a bad movie.
- 9:24Ryan: Um, don't go on
- 9:25Jon: I don't even,
- 9:26Ryan: Um,
- 9:27Jon: don't even remember if I watched Devil.
- 9:29Maybe I did.
- 9:30It's vaguely familiar.
- 9:32Kearns: It's hard to get past the part where he's like,
- 9:35wait, something's going on.
- 9:36Drop your sandwich and the guy drops his sandwich and it drops
- 9:39on the jelly side or whatever.
- 9:40And he is like, the devil's here when he's here, bad things happen.
- 9:44And I was like, if it landed on the bread side, the devil wouldn't have been around.
- 9:48Okay.
- 9:48Ryan: You can,
- 9:49Kearns: Okay.
- 9:49Ryan: can save it.
- 9:50You can dust the dirt off the jelly.
- 9:52You can't, that gets embedded into it.
- 9:55Jon: Yeah.
- 9:56Kearns: acting style in Tarantino movies and stuff like that.
- 9:59There's also a very distinctive acting style for a lot of people
- 10:02in M Night movies, and that style tends to be kind of like bland,
- 10:08Jon: Yeah.
- 10:09Kearns: just sort of like weird deliveries.
- 10:11Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 10:12Ryan: Yeah.
- 10:13I,
- 10:13Kearns: Even
- 10:13Jon: Yeah,
- 10:14Kearns: Bruce Willis was kind of muted.
- 10:16Ryan: yeah,
- 10:17Kearns: Uh, he was great and unbreakable, though.
- 10:19If we're gonna do like M night, we better bring up unbreakable.
- 10:21That was
- 10:22Jon: yeah,
- 10:22Unbreakable and Split are probably his two best movies after six tenths,
- 10:28Kearns: Yeah,
- 10:29Ryan: What about
- 10:29Kearns: and they franchised them.
- 10:31Jon: the visits, it's okay.
- 10:33Ryan: I love that twist.
- 10:34Jon: but I mean, it's sort of the, idea I was getting at earlier is
- 10:38you go into an M Night movie now waiting for the Twist instead of, you
- 10:43know, focusing on good storytelling.
- 10:45He's, you know, disguising everything because, you know, he's gonna
- 10:50twist something near the end.
- 10:52And I, I don't know, I, the twist is fine, but I'd rather he made a good movie
- 10:58and if there's a twist, there's a twist.
- 11:00Kearns: Yeah,
- 11:00Ryan: Yeah.
- 11:01Kearns: I'm with you on that.
- 11:02Ryan: Like I feel like it's forced and I agree with that.
- 11:04Like he hits it well with the sixth sense, assign, he does well, unbreakable.
- 11:10I like.
- 11:12I feel like that was pretty straightforward.
- 11:14I mean, if there is twists, it kind of flows with it.
- 11:16But that's what you want.
- 11:17You want twists to flow.
- 11:19And a lot of his movies, they're, the twists have been
- 11:22forced down people's throat.
- 11:23Like old the Twist was like right there constantly in your face and it
- 11:29took over the story and the story is decent, but the twist is like, oh, okay,
- 11:36Jon: Yeah, and I don't think you get that as much from Sixth Sense as you
- 11:39do from a lot of his other stuff.
- 11:41And maybe it's because it was the first one and you know, you're
- 11:44going in blind not knowing that there's gonna be an m night twist.
- 11:48Kearns: Yeah.
- 11:48Jon: Yeah.
- 11:49Ryan: it was new.
- 11:50like saying crazy again.
- 11:51It's crazy 'cause the phenomenon for this movie was everyone was talking
- 11:55about it, premiering in August 6th, 1999.
- 11:58Like
- 11:59Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 12:00Ryan: skipping school and watching it on the cheap box, on good old pay-per-view.
- 12:05Just to see it, to see what the hype was about.
- 12:09Jon: Yeah,
- 12:09Ryan: the shit outta him.
- 12:10Jon: I think, I think I went opening weekend.
- 12:13Ryan: Okay.
- 12:14Kearns: I didn't see it in the theater.
- 12:15I think I saw it similarly on a cheat box, oddly enough.
- 12:21But
- 12:22Ryan: Old
- 12:22Kearns: yeah, it was, I mean, we're kind of going into it without the enthusiasm.
- 12:27We would've when we had done a first watch back then,
- 12:30Jon: Oh, absolutely.
- 12:31Ryan: Yeah.
- 12:32Kearns: of the state of his career and all the things he's done again
- 12:36and again, and again and again.
- 12:37But it really was a good movie.
- 12:39It is a good movie.
- 12:40It was a good movie and a great first watch.
- 12:42If you've never seen an M Night movie and you watch the 6 cents, you're
- 12:45gonna enjoy it because everybody did.
- 12:48It made like $672 million Box office, something like that.
- 12:53Ryan: you are right on the money.
- 12:55Kearns: bang Baby.
- 12:56I looked it up before we started and I was, I'm glad I didn't forget the number.
- 13:00Jon: and the, the sixth,
- 13:02Ryan: that's, you know.
- 13:02Jon: the sixth sense twist isn't as forced.
- 13:07Right.
- 13:08You see, to make the sixth sense effective, the way it's effective the
- 13:13first time you watch it, the twist works.
- 13:17The, you know, those moments when, Hailey Joel lets him in on the concept that he
- 13:24sees dead people, they don't know they're dead, and they usually want help to Bruce
- 13:30Willis going home and be, and you know, that realization that, oh, I am dead.
- 13:38Kearns: Yeah.
- 13:40And the reveal of that is really good.
- 13:42Jon: Yep.
- 13:43Yeah.
- 13:44Kearns: At least I feel the reveal of that is really good.
- 13:46the breath at that perfect time.
- 13:47When he is like, his wife is napping or next to
- 13:50Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 13:52Kearns: or sleeping, it must be nighttime.
- 13:54Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 13:54Kearns: kind of is reciting, you know, some of them don't even know they're dead.
- 13:58Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 13:59Kearns: of thing.
- 13:59It's good.
- 14:01It's just good.
- 14:02I.
- 14:02Jon: His ring falls onto the ground.
- 14:05Ryan: in it.
- 14:07Jon: Yeah.
- 14:09Yeah.
- 14:09And that, that's what I take from it now.
- 14:11That's what I take from it now.
- 14:14Mm-hmm.
- 14:15I take the, emotion of those last 20 or so minutes, it's from Helly Joel in the
- 14:23car with mom saying it, explaining to her and making her believe that he sees
- 14:31dead people to then Bruce Willis going home and realizing, damn, I'm dead.
- 14:38Kearns: Yeah.
- 14:39Ryan: Yeah.
- 14:40And him noticing like he can't open up the door and it's
- 14:45Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 14:45Ryan: I feel like, again, we're talking about, like, you're talking about bland.
- 14:50like there's a lot of emotion in that scene, but then there's a
- 14:53lot of emotion in the scene when Joel, Oman, his character Cole,
- 14:57reveals that he can see dead people.
- 15:00Um, both, both of those scenes are very high up there, and it's
- 15:04interesting because of course it's the finale, which should have
- 15:08a big feeling for every viewer.
- 15:11But the biggest view, which is the reveal, is the midpoint.
- 15:15Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 15:15Ryan: it can hit and sometimes it can't.
- 15:17And it, it hits in this, which is
- 15:19Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 15:20And I think the thing he does really, really well with this, that's not
- 15:24a twist, is up until the moment he reveals he sees dead people, you don't.
- 15:32Kearns: Right.
- 15:33Ryan: Uh, which is cool.
- 15:35Jon: And then from then on, you see what he sees.
- 15:38Kearns: Yeah, that is cool.
- 15:40Jon: you know, you're sort of in, I mean, I think you kind of know what's
- 15:44going on with, the kid, but you don't have it until that moment and then
- 15:49you see them all and you see the kind of life that he has to be living.
- 15:56Ryan: Well, it starts off like,
- 15:58Kearns: Oh, it's gonna be horrible.
- 15:59Ryan: uh, I mean, everyone thinks he's got mood swings, he's got schizophrenia.
- 16:03Like they all think he's dealing with these problems.
- 16:06Everyone thinks he's a And it's like, no, he's seeing things that he
- 16:13can't handle, he doesn't understand.
- 16:15Jon: Yeah.
- 16:15Yeah.
- 16:16Ryan: and you know, I mean, I consider it, I mean, we're covering
- 16:20it, so it's considered horror, but it's like feel good horror.
- 16:24Like if I had to make a Hallmark channel dedicated to horror
- 16:27films, I'd show the six sense, you
- 16:31Jon: Oh, for sure.
- 16:31You wouldn't have to cut anything either.
- 16:33Like it's a, maybe some language here and there, but for the most
- 16:37part you don't have to cut very much.
- 16:41Kearns: It's not very graphic at all.
- 16:44The, jump scary scenes are, um, like pretty, pretty mild.
- 16:50Ryan: the
- 16:50Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 16:51Kearns: The girl vomiting was the worst part for me.
- 16:53Yeah.
- 16:53Jon: Yeah.
- 16:54Ryan: That
- 16:54Jon: Ah,
- 16:54Ryan: gets me.
- 16:55Still gets me.
- 16:57Kearns: But I mean, it's the sixth sense.
- 16:58It's like tough to do an episode on the sixth Sense 'cause it's like, Hey,
- 17:01we're doing an episode on you guys now,
- 17:03Jon: mm-hmm.
- 17:04Ryan: Well, I, I'll
- 17:05Kearns: but
- 17:05Ryan: guys one.
- 17:06Uh, when you were watching it, were you guys thinking about
- 17:09Scary Movie three and the
- 17:11Jon: No,
- 17:12Ryan: What?
- 17:12No.
- 17:13Jon: I didn't even remember a scary movie three until you just brought it up.
- 17:16Ryan: No.
- 17:16When the kid was talking to each person, like in that scene, and he's like,
- 17:20he's gonna be a, you know, you're gonna have a boy, he's gonna be an asshole.
- 17:24And it's just.
- 17:25Kearns: Yeah.
- 17:26Jon: I, I'm amazed that you can remember things from the scary
- 17:30movie series by a specific number.
- 17:33Kearns: Yeah.
- 17:33That is pretty impressive.
- 17:35I don't know which, which one is the one with Charlie Sheen and, uh,
- 17:39Ryan: Three.
- 17:39Kearns: that's three.
- 17:40Jon: Is it three?
- 17:41Kearns: the science one, right?
- 17:43Ryan: do you
- 17:43Kearns: Yeah.
- 17:44Ryan: my wife's dead, so hold on.
- 17:46Her body split in half.
- 17:48So wait,
- 17:48Kearns: Which, yeah, which.
- 17:49Ryan: and this is,
- 17:50Kearns: Yeah.
- 17:52he ask which half too?
- 17:53Like which half he can access it.
- 17:56Jon: But, um,
- 17:58Ryan: that's
- 17:59Jon: you, what you.
- 17:59Ryan: with the
- 18:00Kearns: crap.
- 18:00Ryan: impersonator too.
- 18:01Kearns: scene in that movie though is the, the dogs are acting
- 18:04weird and then they like come by on a ball and stuff like that.
- 18:09That's the best scene in that whole movie.
- 18:13Like they're doing circus tricks.
- 18:15Oh, I
- 18:16Jon: It
- 18:16Kearns: in college.
- 18:17That was the
- 18:17Jon: is
- 18:18Kearns: we did when we saw Mystic River and then we bought the ticket for Scary
- 18:21Movie three and we snuck into Mystic River and I walked out of Mystic River
- 18:26halfway through and paid for the ticket.
- 18:28I was like, I'm not paying for that pile of crap movie and not paying
- 18:31for this masterpiece of a film.
- 18:34And they were like, wait, what are you doing?
- 18:36The movie's already started.
- 18:37I'm like, yeah, I just need to buy the ticket.
- 18:39Ryan: I feel guilty.
- 18:41Just gimme
- 18:42Kearns: wouldn't even get into it.
- 18:43I was like, if you guys can't put it together, I'm not
- 18:44gonna put it together for you.
- 18:45I'm just, I'm paying you for one ticket for Mystic River now.
- 18:50Ryan: you know, cookie Dough Bites.
- 18:51I'm going back to scary movie three guys.
- 18:54Kearns: Yeah.
- 18:54Ryan: I,
- 18:55Kearns: That
- 18:55Jon: so
- 18:55Kearns: the same theater that I watched somebody get slapped in the
- 18:57face for How bad Broken Lizards, uh, club Dread was they stood
- 19:02Jon: I love club dread.
- 19:03Ryan: Pineapple
- 19:04Kearns: friends stood up and one of them was like, yeah man,
- 19:06it was supposed to be good.
- 19:07These are the guys who did Super Troopers.
- 19:08His friend just slapped him in the face, so
- 19:13Ryan: I, I agree with John,
- 19:15Jon: Broken Lizard has
- 19:16Ryan: great.
- 19:17Jon: missed.
- 19:18They've never missed for me.
- 19:21E even the ones you, even the one you've ne ones you've never seen
- 19:25or heard of have been good smoking.
- 19:27Salmon was freaking amazing.
- 19:30Ryan: That's the one where the, the waiters?
- 19:32Kearns: Yeah.
- 19:33Jon: Yeah.
- 19:34Ryan: Super Troopers two was okay.
- 19:37It
- 19:37Jon: Super Troopers.
- 19:38Two is fine.
- 19:39There's a third one coming.
- 19:41Ryan: I do wanna see it.
- 19:42I am excited for it.
- 19:43I'm not gonna
- 19:43Jon: Maybe, maybe they'll go back to filming in, our area
- 19:48Ryan: Oh, get pulled over.
- 19:49Littering in,
- 19:51Kearns: Littering in
- 19:52Ryan: littering
- 19:53Kearns: Tastes like
- 19:53Jon: because that that whole opening is local.
- 19:56Ryan: Oh,
- 19:57Kearns: We got so excited for these other movies we're talking about
- 20:00and like we were just monotone through the whole six sense portion.
- 20:03Do you have a game for us tonight, John?
- 20:05Jon: I absolutely have a game.
- 20:06I have a keeper cut for you guys.
- 20:08Ryan: Ooh.
- 20:09Kearns: Oh, keeper Cut.
- 20:09Ryan: So I, it's just, I hope you didn't go with my suggestion,
- 20:12which I was like, I, I made
- 20:14Jon: I didn't.
- 20:14It's it's still four and four.
- 20:17Ryan: I was like, we should get rid of five and
- 20:20Kearns: Oh man.
- 20:22first one.
- 20:23Jon: Start off with a banger.
- 20:24Ryan: all Bruce Willis films.
- 20:26Jon: Oh, yeah.
- 20:27Yeah.
- 20:27There's no, there's no hiding this.
- 20:30Ryan: Oh.
- 20:30Oh, wait, so
- 20:31Jon: It's all Bruce.
- 20:32Kearns: Well, it's
- 20:33Jon: Yep.
- 20:33Kearns: Willis, I have to cut 12 Monkeys 'cause I know Die Hard and
- 20:37Fifth Element are coming up and.
- 20:40Ryan: He might
- 20:40Kearns: Look who's talking.
- 20:41You're gonna put, look who's talking in here?
- 20:43Because you're a clever bastard.
- 20:44You're not.
- 20:44You're not.
- 20:45I'm hip to you, John.
- 20:46Ryan: he, he figured I, he might've figured us out, so he
- 20:49might be twisting it around.
- 20:51So, uh,
- 20:52Kearns: That's exactly what he threatened to do.
- 20:53But I'm still cutting 12 monkeys.
- 20:55Ryan: to monkey is so good.
- 20:57Real quick.
- 20:57Kearns: Didn't they get in trouble for how much damage they did to like
- 21:00a capitol building in Philadelphia the
- 21:03Jon: I think they might have.
- 21:04Kearns: Yeah, something like that happened.
- 21:06Ryan: Um, it's based off a French film actually.
- 21:09And the French
- 21:09Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 21:11Ryan: Uh, you've seen it, John.
- 21:12Jon: I haven't seen it.
- 21:13I know it's based on a French film, but the name is escaping me right now.
- 21:17Is it Lae?
- 21:18Ryan: It's
- 21:19Jon: Okay.
- 21:20Ryan: all still frames and it's like just pictures with a narration that sets
- 21:25Jon: Huh?
- 21:26Ryan: up for 75 minutes.
- 21:28It's
- 21:29Jon: I
- 21:29Ryan: a brilliant art film, if I should say.
- 21:32Um, they do it better, but I am gonna cut it too 'cause I agree
- 21:36there might be, some other choices.
- 21:38Like if
- 21:38Kearns: Keeping.
- 21:39Look who's talking.
- 21:40Ryan: oh yeah, hell yeah.
- 21:41I am.
- 21:41Yes.
- 21:43Jon: All right, we'll, see if this was a good move.
- 21:46Next movie.
- 21:48Ryan: Keep,
- 21:49Kearns: Keep
- 21:54Ryan: there's like, yeah,
- 21:56Kearns: instantly.
- 21:57Ryan: am.
- 21:57I can
- 21:58Kearns: Uma Thurman, you look a lot like your daughter.
- 22:01Jon: Yeah,
- 22:02Ryan: Which
- 22:02Jon: sure does.
- 22:03Ryan: the stranger things.
- 22:05Kearns: and Robin,
- 22:05Ryan: Seriously,
- 22:06Kearns: Hated it.
- 22:07Jon: I have, I have heard,
- 22:09Ryan: Really?
- 22:10Jon: very mixed opinions.
- 22:12Kearns: Absolutely not, not a single inkling of a risk was taken.
- 22:16Season four was a masterpiece of art and storytelling.
- 22:19Season five was a giant, like, it was like stepping on a milk
- 22:23dud in the dark in like August.
- 22:26So it squishes between your toes like, you know what just happened?
- 22:30And you know the, like, what's gonna happen next?
- 22:33That's basically what Stranger Things season five finale was like.
- 22:38They tried a little twisty, arty thing in there with like, is she dead?
- 22:41Is she not dead?
- 22:43If you haven't seen it yet, sorry.
- 22:44And don't watch it.
- 22:45but it's so dumb.
- 22:47I don't know.
- 22:47Ryan: know.
- 22:48You
- 22:48Kearns: was just too safe.
- 22:49They played it too safe.
- 22:51Ryan: Well, yeah.
- 22:52I. I think they felt like they had no choice because the kids grew.
- 22:57And feel though they kind of went with the ending they wanted to do for season one.
- 23:04You know, is she
- 23:05Kearns: Yeah,
- 23:06Ryan: Is she not gone?
- 23:07It's very ambiguous.
- 23:09Um, but the d and d,
- 23:12Kearns: they spent
- 23:12Ryan: the
- 23:12Kearns: more time, 'cause you're gonna do the d and d part.
- 23:15Ryan: yes.
- 23:16Kearns: more time on will's coming out scene than they did
- 23:19on the fight with the final boss.
- 23:22I'm just gonna put that out.
- 23:24Ryan: Only
- 23:24Kearns: Only a minute difference.
- 23:26It was seven minutes total, like ish, just below seven minutes
- 23:30total for each, which is wild.
- 23:32Ryan: they cleared up.
- 23:33Why The mind flare, what do you call it?
- 23:36There was no demic organs is because reremember in season three, they
- 23:40Kearns: I didn't even have a gripe with that dude.
- 23:42Ryan: hold on.
- 23:42What?
- 23:42John, John, how far are we into this?
- 23:45Kearns: He's not gonna watch it.
- 23:46Ryan: I
- 23:47Jon: Me?
- 23:47No, I'm probably not gonna watch.
- 23:49I haven't finished season four.
- 23:53Once the episodes got to
- 23:54Kearns: Season
- 23:55Jon: once, once they got to movie length episodes, they started to lose me.
- 24:01Ryan: It's worth it.
- 24:03Kearns: in the
- 24:03Jon: B.
- 24:03Kearns: episode too, because it's such like a, a mi or no, it's such
- 24:07like a c plus kind of episode.
- 24:09It's two hours long of that too.
- 24:12Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 24:12Kearns: have to like, watch them wrap up everybody's little plots and character
- 24:16growth arcs and you're just like, shut up.
- 24:18Nobody cares.
- 24:19I know what you're doing.
- 24:20This is gonna suck.
- 24:21And then two hours later you're like, God dammit, I knew it was gonna suck.
- 24:26Ryan: I, I did enjoy it.
- 24:27I'm happy.
- 24:28I'm happy it's done.
- 24:29They're coming out
- 24:29Kearns: You know what it's like, it's like getting a free shot at Halle Berry.
- 24:33She's super into you, but you like, you myth it and you get nervous and you like
- 24:36just touch side boob and you have to live with that for the rest of your life.
- 24:40Ryan: Berry from the
- 24:41Kearns: that's what, that's what season five of Stranger
- 24:43Things final episode felt like.
- 24:46You could have had full swordfish, Halle Berry,
- 24:49Ryan: Damn it.
- 24:49Kearns: Ball, Halle Bear, any Halle Berry.
- 24:51You could have Halle Berry today.
- 24:52What are you, what are you saying?
- 24:55Men would fight wars over that lady.
- 24:57To this day,
- 24:59Jon: Absolutely.
- 25:00Kearns: boobed.
- 25:00You could have had, the greatest night of your life.
- 25:02Jon: Absolutely.
- 25:03Kearns: you get a shot.
- 25:04Nope.
- 25:04That's what the last episode's like.
- 25:07Ryan: I
- 25:08Jon: All right.
- 25:08Ready for movie three?
- 25:09Kearns: giving me side eye.
- 25:10Yeah, let's do
- 25:11Jon: Yeah,
- 25:12Kearns: canceled.
- 25:13Jon: movie three.
- 25:14Kearns: He,
- 25:15Ryan: yeah, keep in Fifth Element.
- 25:18It's a, yeah.
- 25:20Kearns: Tucker should be on this poster.
- 25:22It's a crime
- 25:22Ryan: he?
- 25:23No, he's not.
- 25:23That is a crime.
- 25:25It's, you know, they offered the role to Prince.
- 25:28I'm happy he turned it down and
- 25:30Kearns: multi pass.
- 25:32Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 25:33Kearns: got the alien opera lady, but they don't have Chris Tucker.
- 25:35Ryan: They got
- 25:36Jon: Yeah, it's an interesting, yeah, he's there.
- 25:39He is down there.
- 25:40Yeah.
- 25:41Kearns: I just
- 25:41Jon: He's like off of Bruce's shoulder.
- 25:44Ryan: Yep.
- 25:45a great movie.
- 25:48Jon: Right?
- 25:48So we're keeping fifth element.
- 25:49How do we feel about moving number four?
- 25:54Ryan: I am gonna cut
- 25:54Kearns: See now I feel like he's trapping us.
- 25:56Ryan: cutting it.
- 25:58Cut.
- 25:5812
- 25:58Kearns: What?
- 25:59You
- 25:59Ryan: Cut Armageddon.
- 26:00Kearns: wanna close your eyes, Ryan.
- 26:02Ryan: Animal
- 26:03Kearns: asleep.
- 26:04Ryan: in my soup.
- 26:05Jon: That's, that is the one scene I cannot stand.
- 26:10The rest of the movie's fine.
- 26:11I actually kind of like Armageddon.
- 26:12If it was like a half hour shorter, I'd probably like it a lot more.
- 26:16Kearns: I do like Armageddon, but I like it for like a blockbuster
- 26:19and I like it for what it is.
- 26:21And what
- 26:21Jon: Yeah,
- 26:22Kearns: is one of the greatest movies Bruce Willis ever made.
- 26:25Cut.
- 26:28Jon: I think I may have you guys,
- 26:30Kearns: If this was a Steve Buscemi list, I would keep it
- 26:34Ryan: be
- 26:34Jon: I don't know.
- 26:35Kearns: in this movie.
- 26:36Jon: I don't know.
- 26:37'cause I ca, I mean without even looking at his filmography, I have three keeps
- 26:42Kearns: Yeah, it's Buscemi, it's Fargo.
- 26:44Gotta keep it.
- 26:45Jon: and that's four.
- 26:46Yeah.
- 26:47Yeah.
- 26:48I would have a hard time keeping this as a
- 26:50Kearns: Billy
- 26:51Jon: res,
- 26:52Ryan: Yeah.
- 26:52Jon: air Airheads.
- 26:55Kearns: that would be way harder to do Steve Buscemi than it would be like you
- 26:58could throw the island in there and stuff.
- 27:00Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 27:01Yep.
- 27:01Kearns: All
- 27:02Jon: Alright,
- 27:02Ryan: Steve Chemi episode.
- 27:02Jon: let's see how we feel about Movie five.
- 27:05Ryan: Ah, hold on.
- 27:07I'm
- 27:07Kearns: he chose, he specifically chose Die hard two.
- 27:10Ryan: I'm two for two.
- 27:12Kearns: Die harder.
- 27:13Ryan: is five.
- 27:15Jon: So a Christmas movie.
- 27:16Ryan: It is a Christmas film.
- 27:18Actually.
- 27:18Diehard two is actually really good, he's already put Die.
- 27:22He put diehard last year for us for our last list.
- 27:27Crap.
- 27:28Kearns: This is a cool one.
- 27:29'cause if you watch the TV cut.
- 27:31When he lights the gasoline on fire to blow up the plane, he,
- 27:35I forget what he says, but his voice is so utterly ridiculous.
- 27:39It's one of the best ones.
- 27:41Not as good as the Big Lebowski.
- 27:43you find a stranger in the Alps, that one, that's one of
- 27:46the best TV edits of all time.
- 27:49Let's, he's like Mr. Connor, Um, I really don't want to do it, but I'm gonna have
- 27:57to cut it 'cause I don't trust you.
- 27:59Ryan: Hmm.
- 28:01Kearns: Yeah.
- 28:01And it's also not die hard.
- 28:03Like if it was die hard, I'd probably have to keep it.
- 28:05But it's die hard too, which is arguably just as good.
- 28:08But
- 28:08Ryan: he might have
- 28:09Kearns: I
- 28:09Ryan: with a vengeance on here.
- 28:10You know what, I'm gonna cut
- 28:11Kearns: would keep die hard with a vengeance over die hard too.
- 28:14Yeah.
- 28:14Ryan: Zeus.
- 28:16My name's not, not.
- 28:17It's Zeus.
- 28:18Kearns: I played Die Hard with a vengeance video game, like way too much.
- 28:22Ryan: trilogy.
- 28:23Kearns: Central Park.
- 28:24Yeah.
- 28:25Running everybody over.
- 28:27Jon: So, Ryan, you're cutting this.
- 28:28Ryan: the games were like huge.
- 28:30Three.
- 28:31Yeah.
- 28:32Three for two.
- 28:33Kearns: We both we're both.
- 28:34We've done the exact same thing so far.
- 28:36Ryan: Yes.
- 28:36We have,
- 28:38Jon: All right.
- 28:39We'll see if that pays off for you guys.
- 28:41Ryan: but let's say,
- 28:44Jon: Planet error
- 28:46Kearns: Hmm
- 28:46Ryan: um,
- 28:49Kearns: Hmm.
- 28:50How many movies are left after this one?
- 28:53Jon: after this too?
- 28:55Kearns: And I would have to keep them both.
- 28:57Jon: Yep.
- 28:59Kearns: This is the trap, Ryan.
- 29:00This is the trap.
- 29:01He's laid it out nicely.
- 29:04I'm gonna get a better look at that poster for some reason.
- 29:07Seeing how that's looking with the gun on it.
- 29:10Ryan: good film too,
- 29:11Kearns: It is good.
- 29:12Jon: I love Planet Share.
- 29:14Ryan: any other,
- 29:16Kearns: I'm gonna keep it.
- 29:18Ryan: you know what, I'm gonna cut it.
- 29:20I'm gonna take the mystery box.
- 29:21Uh, Alex.
- 29:23Kearns: Keep it.
- 29:24I still get one to keep, one more, to keep.
- 29:26One more to cut.
- 29:27And the next one's gonna be super juicy so that you, you have to agonize
- 29:30over it because you don't know what the last one is, which won't be a
- 29:33Jon: Maybe.
- 29:34Kearns: you,
- 29:35Jon: Maybe.
- 29:35I mean, Ryan's cutting.
- 29:37Kearns: you have to keep them both.
- 29:38Jon: Ryan's keeping the last two, and we'll see how he feels about that
- 29:41because here's movie number seven.
- 29:45Ryan: I'll
- 29:46Kearns: I,
- 29:46Ryan: it.
- 29:46I like the last Boy Scout.
- 29:47Kearns: I'm gonna, I'm going, gonna cut that one.
- 29:51I'm gonna go ahead and say what everybody's thinking.
- 29:53I'm gonna cut.
- 29:55Ryan: I have no choice.
- 29:57I'm just gonna enjoy it.
- 29:58I'm gonna grin it.
- 29:59It's not a bad film.
- 30:01Jon: No, it's fine.
- 30:02Ryan: I.
- 30:02Jon: fine.
- 30:03Yeah.
- 30:03I mean, once you get past that opening with the shooting on
- 30:07the football field, like in the middle of a game, like it's fine.
- 30:11It's fine.
- 30:12Kearns: um, which Damon Wayne's Buddy Up movie is better?
- 30:15This one or the one with Adam Sandler?
- 30:18Uh, what the hell was it called?
- 30:20Where he does
- 30:21Jon: Oh,
- 30:22Ryan: about,
- 30:22Jon: Bulletproof.
- 30:23Kearns: Bulletproof.
- 30:24Bulletproof is
- 30:25Ryan: hundred
- 30:26Kearns: so good.
- 30:26Ryan: better.
- 30:27Kearns: Bulletproof's one of the best movies like comedies I
- 30:30think I've ever seen, actually, like I laughed until it hurt.
- 30:34Ryan: That was the time when, like you had money talks as well with
- 30:37Kearns: Yeah.
- 30:38Ryan: Charlie,
- 30:39Kearns: Come on, let's
- 30:40Jon: May
- 30:40Kearns: look.
- 30:40Who's talking?
- 30:42Ryan: with a vengeance.
- 30:44Jon: you are both gonna be sorely disappointed at the movie you are keeping
- 30:50Ryan: Oh,
- 30:50Kearns: Oh no,
- 30:51Ryan: is one
- 30:51Kearns: that was just cruel.
- 30:53Ryan: Okay,
- 30:54Kearns: just cruel.
- 30:55I
- 30:55Jon: this isn't even, this isn't even that late.
- 30:58Kearns: I just, I resent that
- 30:59Jon: This is,
- 30:59Kearns: Parker's in the picture now.
- 31:01Jon: this is like early nineties.
- 31:03Ryan: Really
- 31:04Jon: It's not even that late.
- 31:05This was like, all right, I'm just gonna make movies that are
- 31:08die hard in a different place.
- 31:12Kearns: Striking.
- 31:12All right.
- 31:13So I would rather have last boy scout than striking distance.
- 31:16For sure.
- 31:16Ryan: I guess striking distance as well.
- 31:18So you know what, but that's a good marathon start horrible and then like work
- 31:22it up to like the better, you know, maybe
- 31:26Kearns: We knew he was gonna do this, and we still fell for it.
- 31:29Still fell for it.
- 31:30You
- 31:31Jon: mean,
- 31:32Ryan: I
- 31:32Jon: I went,
- 31:33Kearns: mayhem.
- 31:34Jon: I went 12 monkeys, pulp fiction, fifth element, 1, 2, 3.
- 31:40Kearns: We kept them all.
- 31:42Ryan: Well
- 31:42Jon: Oh, y'all, you both cut 12 monkeys.
- 31:45Kearns: Oh yeah, you're right.
- 31:46We did cut 12 monkeys.
- 31:47Ryan: Fiction and fifth Element are excellent, sir.
- 31:50Kearns: Yeah.
- 31:50I'm glad we had those
- 31:52Jon: No, I mean, those are fine.
- 31:56Ryan: It's great.
- 31:57Jon: I knew I was gonna get you guys.
- 31:59I knew at least one of you is keeping striking distance.
- 32:05Kearns: thought we were friends.
- 32:06So
- 32:07Jon: I mean, you, yeah.
- 32:08You were, both getting way too comfortable with the format of
- 32:10me trying to get you to, to have no spots left for a good movie.
- 32:15Kearns: yeah, it's true.
- 32:16we had you figured out for a bit there.
- 32:18Jon: you're getting too comfortable.
- 32:19I had to mess it up.
- 32:21Kearns: Let me think here, let me think here as we wrap up
- 32:24this episode on the sixth Sense.
- 32:26Bruce Willis did two movies while technically three movies, if you count
- 32:30the cameo four movies with M Knight.
- 32:33Ryan: Yep.
- 32:33Kearns: So he did split, he did Mr. Glass, he was the cameo in Split Rather.
- 32:39He did
- 32:40Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 32:41Mm-hmm.
- 32:42Kearns: Glass.
- 32:42He did, uh, or just Glass, is it called?
- 32:45I forget what the last of that trilogy is.
- 32:47Jon: I think it's just glass.
- 32:48Kearns: he did, this one.
- 32:49Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 32:51Kearns: and then he was a, Tarantino.
- 32:53I as well.
- 32:54Right.
- 32:54He did two Tarantino movies or one He was in Pulp Fiction.
- 32:58Ryan: Fiction.
- 32:59Jon: Fiction.
- 33:01Ryan: I think just the one.
- 33:02Kearns: Oh,
- 33:03Jon: I think just the one, yeah.
- 33:04Kearns: had to, uh, had to rope him into that because
- 33:07that really blew up the casting
- 33:10Ryan: Oh,
- 33:10Kearns: when he was able to get Bruce Willis?
- 33:12Yeah.
- 33:13That's a cool story.
- 33:14Tarantino tells it on a podcast, I don't remember which one, if it's Rogan or Two
- 33:19Bears, one cave or something like that.
- 33:21But he, he does an interview and he talks about the process getting Bruce
- 33:25Willis and then Bruce Willis passed on it initially and then came crawling back
- 33:30'cause everybody was telling him Tarantino was gonna be like the next big thing.
- 33:33But that's not how Tarantino tells it.
- 33:36Tarantino doesn't tell it like that.
- 33:37'cause that's a bit of a pompous way to, to describe it if it's you.
- 33:41But that's the way I interpreted it.
- 33:45Came back.
- 33:45He's like, I actually, I got a chance to look over the script again.
- 33:49You know, one of those things.
- 33:50Ryan: Yeah, but
- 33:51Jon: Yeah.
- 33:52Ryan: he wanted to be either Jules or Vincent Vega, and he was
- 33:55like, you should just be butch.
- 33:57he took it.
- 33:58Kearns: Yeah.
- 34:00And then I think it's because he was talking about how Butch's character
- 34:03would act, and he was like, that's why you have to be butch because you're
- 34:08the only one who seems to get, like, has an understanding of the character.
- 34:12Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 34:13Kearns: he got him that way, but he had Travolta too.
- 34:15Like having Travolta and Uma Thurman on board is pretty huge.
- 34:19Ryan: was like low in his career at this time.
- 34:21So I, I
- 34:22Jon: Oh, yeah.
- 34:23Ryan: I might be mistaken, but that's what I think, right.
- 34:26Jon: No.
- 34:27Yeah.
- 34:27This is the, Travolta revival and like sort of started the tradition of
- 34:32Tarantino reviving actor's careers.
- 34:36He did that a bunch.
- 34:38Kearns: right, right.
- 34:39Ryan: and this is like before Michael, right?
- 34:41Because he came popularity
- 34:43Jon: Yeah.
- 34:43Ryan: as well?
- 34:44Yeah.
- 34:44Jon: Yeah.
- 34:45Yeah.
- 34:46Pulp Fiction.
- 34:48Pulp Fiction brought him back and you got Michael and Phenomenon and like,
- 34:52he kind of wasted it for a while.
- 34:54Kearns: He did phenomenon after Pulp Fiction.
- 34:57Jon: I believe so.
- 34:57Yeah.
- 34:58Kearns: Wow.
- 34:58I love phenomenon.
- 35:01Ryan: Phenomenon
- 35:01Kearns: you're saying you, he wasted it.
- 35:03You mean like phenomenon
- 35:04Jon: Uh,
- 35:04Kearns: movie.
- 35:04You don't like it?
- 35:05Oh, I, love that movie.
- 35:07Ryan: 96.
- 35:08Jon: I, I, it, I thought it was okay when I watched it originally.
- 35:11I don't think it would hold up
- 35:13Kearns: I've seen it like six times.
- 35:16Ryan: Does it hold up, is the question?
- 35:18Jon: you get broke,
- 35:19Kearns: it's
- 35:19Jon: you get Broken Arrow.
- 35:21Kearns: yeah.
- 35:23Jon: I love Broken Arrow.
- 35:24Broken.
- 35:24Arrow is my favorite spoiled movie story.
- 35:29Kearns: Oh
- 35:29Jon: So I'm, I'm sitting there watching this like shortly
- 35:33after it came out on video in my apartment with my two roommates.
- 35:39And you know, it starts and Travolta comes on screen.
- 35:42One guy's seen it, one guy hasn't seen it.
- 35:44I've seen it.
- 35:45This.
- 35:45This guy's just like, oh, I love this movie.
- 35:48Travolta's such a good villain.
- 35:51And the guy's like, dude,
- 35:53Kearns: It's the Twist.
- 35:54Yeah.
- 35:56You fool.
- 35:58Best, um, best Travolta villain movie.
- 36:00What do you guys think?
- 36:02Ryan: Uh,
- 36:03Kearns: at least three.
- 36:06Jon: battlefield Earth.
- 36:07Ryan: well you,
- 36:10Kearns: Claim, my friend,
- 36:12Ryan: did
- 36:12Kearns: that is a great guest,
- 36:13Ryan: the full thing?
- 36:15Jon: No,
- 36:15Kearns: hot
- 36:16Jon: no.
- 36:17Kearns: That that movie was playing on a loop in my house for like three
- 36:20weeks because I had the hot box.
- 36:21Oh my God.
- 36:23Is that movie bad?
- 36:24Ryan: That.
- 36:24Yeah, I was gonna say that movie had high hopes.
- 36:26I wish I had the
- 36:28Kearns: Any Oscar winners are in that movie?
- 36:29Is it just Forrest Whitaker?
- 36:32Ryan: I,
- 36:34Kearns: I think there's like a battlefield earth like thing where you can go down.
- 36:37Like all of the awards of surrounding that horrible movie.
- 36:42So face off.
- 36:43By the way, it was a phishing for you guys to bring up Face
- 36:45Off as Best, Travolta villain.
- 36:47Ryan: is he really the villain?
- 36:49Kearns: That's the, that's why I brought it up.
- 36:50I was trying to stir the pot.
- 36:52Ryan: Is he really the villain though?
- 36:53Jon: before we get to our final thoughts on Sixth Sense, I almost
- 36:58forgot what movie we were doing.
- 36:59We've been so far away from it this whole time.
- 37:01Um,
- 37:02Kearns: That's the only thing that's made
- 37:03Jon: bef
- 37:04Kearns: listenable.
- 37:05Jon: be Before, before our opinions.
- 37:08Do you guys want to hear some other people's opinions?
- 37:12I have three reviews for you.
- 37:13Kearns: into that.
- 37:15Jon: I, have a five star.
- 37:18There's a lot of five stars.
- 37:19It was harder to find, this is the rare one.
- 37:21It was kind of hard to find low scores.
- 37:25So five stars.
- 37:26even if you know the twist going in M Knight, SHA Milan's
- 37:30sophomore feature film.
- 37:32I don't think it was a sophomore, that was nominated for six Oscars, including
- 37:37Best Picture is still a masterful thriller that proves that he is a talented director
- 37:43with a cast at the top of their game.
- 37:45It's a fair review.
- 37:46Like, I mean, it's a fair,
- 37:47Kearns: game.
- 37:48Jon: yeah, I mean, I don't know about that part.
- 37:51It's not Bruce's best.
- 37:52It's definitely, it's definitely not Tony Collette's.
- 37:56What's his first?
- 37:57Kearns: Praying with Anger came out before the sixth Sense in 1992, which
- 38:01is considered to be his first feature film since it technically was though.
- 38:06It played mostly at festivals and it was autobiographical.
- 38:12Jon: Oh,
- 38:14Kearns: All right, so you're right, reviewer were,
- 38:17Jon: okay.
- 38:18Kearns: although
- 38:19Jon: the one.
- 38:19Kearns: technically, right?
- 38:20Ryan: What's
- 38:21Jon: Yeah,
- 38:23Ryan: What's the,
- 38:24Kearns: The twist is his career.
- 38:27Ryan: is that why he was praying with anger?
- 38:30Kearns: Yeah, for real.
- 38:31All right, John, we stepped on you hard.
- 38:33Jon: it, it, it's okay.
- 38:35Um, I was questioning the actors at the top of their game be I've, we've
- 38:40definitely, we've seen Bruce better.
- 38:44Tony Collette gets a lot better.
- 38:46Ryan: I
- 38:47Kearns: I guess Hailey, Joel might be the, that might have been his best.
- 38:50Jon: Well, I mean,
- 38:51Ryan: that was the
- 38:52Jon: maybe,
- 38:53Ryan: right?
- 38:54Jon: maybe
- 38:54Ryan: role.
- 38:56Jon: so.
- 38:56I, I mean, it might, maybe it's Misha Barton's best
- 39:01Kearns: Oh yeah.
- 39:01M well, Misha Barton was in what?
- 39:03The oc
- 39:05Jon: I. Like I said, they might be Misha Barton's best.
- 39:08Kearns: Fair point.
- 39:09Um, no, Hailey Joel was better in secondhand Lions.
- 39:13Ryan: Oh, he,
- 39:13Jon: Oh yeah.
- 39:14I forgot about secondhand lines
- 39:16Kearns: Raucously Good movie.
- 39:18He was in
- 39:19Jon: and
- 39:19Kearns: intelligence too, but I
- 39:20Jon: yeah, he was, yep.
- 39:22Ryan: fors Gump Jr.
- 39:25Kearns: Oh dude, he was in Tusk, bro.
- 39:27Ryan: Yes.
- 39:28Yes, he is.
- 39:29Jon: Yeah, yeah, he is.
- 39:31Kearns: Um,
- 39:32Jon: I think,
- 39:33Kearns: quite a lot.
- 39:34Ryan: He's in, here, he's in Entourage, which, you know the movie at
- 39:40Kearns: He's in a movie with Tom Sellick.
- 39:43Say what?
- 39:47Ryan: Wait, what?
- 39:47What movie with
- 39:49Jon: tell me, tell me.
- 39:50It's a Magnum PI six sense crossover.
- 39:53Kearns: Kinda looks like it, it's called Last Stand at Saber River.
- 39:57It sounds like a porn.
- 39:58Jon: Oh.
- 40:00Kearns: Secondhand lions.
- 40:02I'm, I'm staking my claim.
- 40:03That movie is phenomenal
- 40:04Ryan: No, I, I second that with you.
- 40:07That's a great film.
- 40:08Kearns: and he's older in it, so he actually gets to act a bit instead of
- 40:11just being like, kid do this, kid do
- 40:13Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 40:14Kearns: All right,
- 40:14Jon: Yeah.
- 40:15Kearns: I'm with you, John.
- 40:16I think, hereditary would be, I don't never remember the actress and I feel
- 40:20terrible for this 'cause she's quite good.
- 40:22I
- 40:22Jon: Tony Collette.
- 40:23Kearns: Is it Tony Collette?
- 40:24She's
- 40:24Jon: Yep.
- 40:24Kearns: and hereditary.
- 40:26even though I don't like hereditary as much as like everyone else seems to,
- 40:31because it's a ripoff of Rosemary's baby and I will, I will die on that hill.
- 40:35spoiler for the episode.
- 40:36We're gonna probably do one day on Hereditary, but yeah.
- 40:39I think she grows with her career as well 'cause Six Sense
- 40:42Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 40:43Kearns: role too.
- 40:43Jon: Yeah.
- 40:44Yeah.
- 40:45Ryan: And she's had,
- 40:47Jon: Yep.
- 40:47Ryan: a great career.
- 40:48I mean, little Miss Sunshine, uh,
- 40:51Kearns: Such a good movie.
- 40:52Ryan: Juror number two, nightmare Alley, Mickey 17, like, I'm going all over.
- 40:57Jon: Yeah,
- 40:58Ryan: had a, a great career.
- 40:59And
- 41:00Jon: went on her, she, she's had a really, really nice career.
- 41:03And Bruce is kind of like the action version of someone like Michael
- 41:06Kane who does like, good movie.
- 41:09Good movie, paycheck movie.
- 41:12Good movie, good movie Paycheck,
- 41:15Kearns: Yeah,
- 41:17that's fair.
- 41:18Ryan: with Moonlighting.
- 41:21Kearns: Oh man.
- 41:21Jon: moonlighting.
- 41:22Kearns: a good movie.
- 41:23Jon: The first two,
- 41:25Ryan: Oh.
- 41:25Jon: first two, three seasons of Moonlighting are as good a television.
- 41:29Hudson Hawk was not, yeah, Hudson Hawk was good.
- 41:32Kearns: I mean,
- 41:32it was an enjoy.
- 41:33I didn't even know it existed, and it was on one day and I was watching
- 41:36it back when I had television like,
- 41:39Jon: his,
- 41:39Kearns: He's singing
- 41:40Jon: his,
- 41:40Kearns: He's singing
- 41:41Jon: his first season, cameo in Miami Vice.
- 41:44Be, which was before Moonlighting.
- 41:50Ryan: And he
- 41:50Jon: an episode there.
- 41:51Kearns: that.
- 41:53Did you, find a zero review or a one star review?
- 41:56Jon: I found a one and a half.
- 41:57I just wanted to touch on one more thing from that and how excited
- 42:01I am for the potential for horror at the Academy Awards this year,
- 42:05because I think it's very reasonable that Frankenstein gets nominated.
- 42:10I think it's also become pretty inevitable that sinners is gonna get some noms too,
- 42:18Kearns: It's definitely
- 42:18Jon: and
- 42:19Kearns: because of just the nature of the film.
- 42:22Jon: mm-hmm.
- 42:22It's also, I mean, of the movies I saw this year that are, you know, you
- 42:27would consider to be Oscar contenders, it's about as good as any of them.
- 42:32Kearns: I'm guessing you just said Frankenstein is as good as any of them.
- 42:35Jon: I said sinners is, but Frankenstein is too.
- 42:39He, he.
- 42:40Kearns: I would rather Sinners win than uh, the other movie that's in
- 42:44contention that we've all talked about.
- 42:47Jon: See, I like that movie.
- 42:48Kearns: I know you did.
- 42:49I don't want to get
- 42:50Jon: I liked it a lot.
- 42:51Kearns: another 20 minutes on a
- 42:52Jon: Nope.
- 42:53Nope.
- 42:53Alright, one star, which I, I don't really agree with this one star either.
- 43:00The so-called twist ending is predictable after the first scene.
- 43:05The whole story is in service of the twist.
- 43:08I agree.
- 43:08And ultimately feels hollow, like all M Night shaalan movies.
- 43:13Kearns: So we saw this one after he'd seen other ones, so
- 43:17Jon: Absolutely.
- 43:17Kearns: he's been tainted.
- 43:18Jon: Absolutely.
- 43:19Kearns: But if
- 43:20Jon: Absolutely.
- 43:20Kearns: broski, if you had, I don't believe that he knew
- 43:23what was going to happen.
- 43:24Not a chance.
- 43:25Ryan: No,
- 43:26Jon: No.
- 43:26Kearns: like, every M Night movie's got a twist.
- 43:28I'm gonna watch the sixth
- 43:29Jon: Yeah, yeah,
- 43:30Kearns: know what's gonna happen.
- 43:31Jon: yeah.
- 43:32Yeah.
- 43:32Kearns: he sat down staring at the tv like, oh, there's the twist.
- 43:35He got shot.
- 43:36He's dead already.
- 43:38Like, I don't believe it though.
- 43:39I think this is
- 43:39Jon: No.
- 43:40Kearns: bola.
- 43:41Ryan: turned.
- 43:42He turned the TV off before the best parts came.
- 43:45It's like it's over.
- 43:47Jon: Yep, yep.
- 43:49And then we have the great half star review.
- 43:54Ryan: half stars.
- 43:56Jon: Oh, I, I think the half star is because they don't allow you to do zero.
- 44:01So, 'cause this is a zero star review.
- 44:05The start of a career for one of the most overrated over sensationalized
- 44:10director to ever exist in cinema.
- 44:14A cheek knockoff of an Are you afraid of the dark episode?
- 44:19Predictable, pointless, have seen better film on teeth.
- 44:24Kearns: You and I just watched that episode.
- 44:26That's so funny.
- 44:28Jon: Between the plot holes, the predictability and the
- 44:31general idiocy of the film.
- 44:34This should have been a one and done.
- 44:36But no, somehow this insipid little film was a success.
- 44:41Astounds me
- 44:44Ryan: I love the, are you afraid the dark?
- 44:46Shout out.
- 44:47You know, that's.
- 44:49Kearns: it's called The Tale of the Dream Girl, the one they're referencing
- 44:53Jon: Uhhuh.
- 44:53Kearns: by the way.
- 44:54And we did, we literally just watched it, because Kim, turned onto it for
- 44:58some reason, and we didn't remember it.
- 45:01So we gave it a watch and it was like, it was good, but we
- 45:06definitely predicted the ending.
- 45:08Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 45:08Ryan: I know which one this is.
- 45:13Kearns: Yeah.
- 45:14Jon: 'cause I never saw any of those.
- 45:15Kearns: I spoil it for the listeners?
- 45:17Ryan: Yeah.
- 45:18Kearns: So.
- 45:20Jon: everything else.
- 45:20Kearns: true.
- 45:21It's the one where he's like, dude, he works in a bowling alley in this
- 45:23like, smoking hot eighties girl, well, I guess nineties comes in all the
- 45:28time and is like in love with him.
- 45:31And he is in love with her and he is trying to like, you know,
- 45:34do things that teenagers do.
- 45:37his sister rags on him all the time.
- 45:39And, it goes back and forth and then you find out at the end that things
- 45:44are getting weird and she's like really pushy and she's calling him
- 45:47at weird times and all this stuff.
- 45:48And then we figure out they, he's dead.
- 45:51sister's the only one who can see him for some reason.
- 45:53They never flushed that out.
- 45:55And, the mother that's been interacting with him throughout
- 45:57the entire show and has been sad about stuff is because he's dead.
- 46:01But, if he hasn't really been interacting with him, they just
- 46:03tricked us, like the sixth sense.
- 46:05And then the dream girl is.
- 46:09to get him to cross over with her to like the other side.
- 46:13that's like the whole premise of the episode.
- 46:15And then he leaves and it's been neat.
- 46:18Ryan: it's a good episode actually.
- 46:19I remember that episode now
- 46:21Kearns: It's pretty good.
- 46:22Watch it again.
- 46:23Check out.
- 46:23Smoking Hot nineties girl.
- 46:26Ryan: from a
- 46:26Kearns: She's got, she's like 25.
- 46:27It was back when they used to cast like retirees as teenagers.
- 46:31So everybody relax.
- 46:33All right.
- 46:33Ryan: retirees
- 46:35Jon: And I mean,
- 46:36Kearns: The pain,
- 46:37Jon: when, I don't even know, when are you afraid of the dark came out?
- 46:40Ryan: early
- 46:40Kearns: it was on, uh, sn.
- 46:42Yeah, it was on sncc and it, was like the eight o'clock I used to watch.
- 46:46Are you Afraid of the Dark?
- 46:47And then roll over to Monster Vision.
- 46:48Ryan: Yep.
- 46:49Nine 30 on Saturdays.
- 46:51Kearns: So it was nine 30 and then Monster Vision started at 10.
- 46:54Ryan: Yep.
- 46:55Jon: Like what years?
- 46:56Kearns: I don't know, I was in like second through fourth grade.
- 46:59So.
- 46:59Ryan: the
- 47:00Jon: So I like, I mean, it's probably fairly legit that you found her hot.
- 47:04Anyway,
- 47:05Ryan: So
- 47:05Kearns: Well, I found her hot like now, not back then.
- 47:09I was too young.
- 47:11Jon: it's like that's the age my Alyssa Milano crush started.
- 47:14Kearns: Well, I mean, yeah, that transcends age and
- 47:17Jon: Like I,
- 47:17Kearns: That's Alyssa Milano.
- 47:19Jon: I, she and I are the same age.
- 47:21So like who's the boss was like, oh, hi.
- 47:25Kearns: Yeah, that'll
- 47:26Jon: And then yeah.
- 47:28Kearns: No, uh, yeah.
- 47:32Are you afraid of the dark ran?
- 47:35At that time there was some like reality or some like comedy sketch
- 47:39show that came on before it, and then two more shows came on before
- 47:41that started at eight, ended at 10,
- 47:43and then Nick at night started.
- 47:45That's when you knew that the good times were over
- 47:47Ryan: oh,
- 47:48Kearns: like the Honeymooners came on.
- 47:51Yeah, whatever came out right after SNCC was like disappointing.
- 47:53And then they put a buffer show in between them.
- 47:56They put like a mid-range age show in there.
- 47:58But yeah.
- 48:00Anyway, we all think the sixth sense is great.
- 48:04Jon: I think the sixth sense is fine.
- 48:06Kearns: Yeah, it's fine.
- 48:07Jon: It holds up differently.
- 48:08Like I was texting you guys while I was watching it about how it wasn't
- 48:12holding up, and then I got to that last 20 minutes and it changes how you
- 48:18feel about the whole movie because you know, as you get older and you have
- 48:24loss and you have, and really starting with Misha Barton's funeral on, it's
- 48:30just a very emotional end to a movie
- 48:35Kearns: Yeah.
- 48:36Jon: and it elevated it quite a bit for me.
- 48:38I, think I put 6 cents in about the 3.75 range.
- 48:43Kearns: 3, 7, 5.
- 48:44All right.
- 48:45Fair.
- 48:45Ryan: 3, 7, 5.
- 48:47Kearns: What do you think Ryan?
- 48:48Ryan: No, actually, you know what?
- 48:49I was gonna go with the too.
- 48:503, 7, 5, like watch.
- 48:54It's great.
- 48:55know, you get the twist.
- 48:57I watched it when I was in middle school, then rewatching it again,
- 49:00older, my twenties, getting a better understanding and rewatching it again.
- 49:05It's got a good story.
- 49:07M Knight's a good writer at that time for his first big blockbuster, but not a five
- 49:13outta five and it's not really a four.
- 49:15It's that 3.75 for me.
- 49:17I
- 49:18Kearns: Yeah, it's below a four.
- 49:19I'll give it a 3.5 just to be different, it's a good, it's a good movie.
- 49:24The Acting's done well.
- 49:25It's a,
- 49:25Jon: Yeah,
- 49:26Kearns: done film.
- 49:26You will enjoy it if you watch it without knowing what's
- 49:28Jon: yeah,
- 49:29Kearns: You should have enjoyed it when you fir.
- 49:30Everybody enjoyed it when they first came out,
- 49:32Jon: yeah.
- 49:33And you can still enjoy it now.
- 49:36Kearns: at the end
- 49:37Jon: There's,
- 49:37Kearns: It's a gimmicky movie
- 49:39Jon: mm-hmm.
- 49:39Kearns: sick of the gimmick.
- 49:41Jon: Yeah.
- 49:41if this was the only time he employed these tricks, I think
- 49:46it would still hit better.
- 49:47But that, became just his brand, kind of dampens it a little bit.
- 49:55Kearns: Are we ever gonna do Shutter Island?
- 49:57Ryan: Oh,
- 49:58Kearns: you think it's not
- 49:59Jon: could,
- 49:59Kearns: horror?
- 50:00Jon: we could
- 50:01Kearns: I'm gonna shut up about it, but I have an opinion about this
- 50:04movie compared to Shutter Island.
- 50:05I'll wait until the Shutter Island episode to start saying all that stuff.
- 50:09So stay tuned, dear listeners.
- 50:12Ryan: curious.
- 50:13Jon: stay tuned.
- 50:14Kearns: the top five
- 50:16Ryan: Top five first.
- 50:17Top five of 2026.
- 50:19I'm
- 50:19Kearns: and the fastest one ever.
- 50:21It's gonna be a record.
- 50:23Ryan: so I am going with top five M night film.
- 50:30Kearns: I will end, I will literally hit the button
- 50:33Ryan: Are you, Dr. Evil?
- 50:35You're gonna press the red button.
- 50:37All right, hold on.
- 50:37I don't wanna go into the incinerator, but my top
- 50:40Kearns: sharks with.
- 50:41Alright, let's hear it.
- 50:43Ryan: top five.
- 50:44I'm gonna start off with, number five.
- 50:45It's based on a French language switch, graphic novel named Sandcastle, which
- 50:50I just learned about today actually.
- 50:52written, directed, and produced by M Knight.
- 50:54Again, top five M Knight films.
- 50:55It's old, follows a group of people who are vacationing, a rapidly
- 51:00aging on a secluded beach that they're brought by the hotel.
- 51:05It's really in your face.
- 51:07Like I said earlier with the Twist, you know, you see the, rapid aging and guess
- 51:12the idea of them escaping is the twist.
- 51:15But if you want a good M Night movie, I'd recommend old, and it's
- 51:19pretty recent coming out in 2021.
- 51:22four would be
- 51:26I kind of fell off him with like, know, the happening the village and, uh,
- 51:32devil, even though I did enjoy my first watch of it, I agreed there's a lot
- 51:38of problems with it, seeing it again.
- 51:41I feel like the visit's a good number four, just because
- 51:44there are a couple good twists.
- 51:45You know, it follows two young siblings, who go to stay with
- 51:49their estranged grandparents.
- 51:51But during the stay, the siblings notice their grandparents behaving bizarrely, and
- 51:55they set out to find the truth behind the strange circumstances at the farmstead.
- 52:00Number three, we are going with 2002 signs.
- 52:05I do enjoy the film.
- 52:07It was, a nice change, when I feel like at that time there wasn't a lot of
- 52:11science fiction or for me from that, my perspective, there wasn't a lot of science
- 52:16fiction that was at least in my face.
- 52:18focuses on a former priest named Graham Hess, who discovers a series
- 52:23of crop circles in his cornfield and the phenomenon in a result
- 52:26of extraterrestrial life stars.
- 52:28Mel Gibson, Joaquin Phoenix, And then that leads to number two, split.
- 52:34It's the sequel to the Unbreakable Trilogy, it's its own film following
- 52:39a man played by James McAvoy with Dissociative identity Disorder, who
- 52:44kidnaps an IMP persons three teenage girls and an isolated underground facility.
- 52:49did enjoy it.
- 52:50It's a nice follow up.
- 52:52Uh, the twist is what makes it a sequel, which was a nice nod.
- 52:57And number one is Unbreakable.
- 52:59Can't put the six sense on here.
- 53:01So Unbreakable is my number one.
- 53:04Basically it follows, David Dunn, played by Bruce Willis, who survives
- 53:07a train crash with no injuries, leading to the realization that
- 53:11he harbors superhuman abilities.
- 53:13As he begins to grapple with the discovery, he comes to the attention of
- 53:16a disabled comic book store owner Eisha Price, who manipulates David to understand
- 53:21him or as we know him, Mr. Glass.
- 53:24would recommend those five if you love M Night movies or if you
- 53:27want to give him night movies.
- 53:28Chance.
- 53:29And John, I'm curious to hear what your top five are.
- 53:32'cause I know you went with twists, so I'm curious.
- 53:35Jon: did go with Twist and the, the, the closest we're gonna get to a
- 53:41spoiler in my top five twists in horror.
- 53:45Is that just the title?
- 53:47I'm not gonna give you, give away anything except a brief description.
- 53:51I'm not gonna tell you the twist.
- 53:53So my number five.
- 53:56Now as we roll out of Christmas, my title number five is Better Watch Out.
- 54:04so a babysitter and the 12-year-old boy that she's sitting are forced to defend
- 54:09the home from a ruthless home invasion.
- 54:12Kearns: Babysitter trope kind of always comes back around, doesn't it?
- 54:15Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 54:16Kearns: call's coming from in the house.
- 54:18Jon: Yep.
- 54:18Yep.
- 54:19my number four is a movie starring Nicole Kidman called the others.
- 54:25Kearns: Yeah, one's a good one.
- 54:28Jon: Yeah.
- 54:28A woman and her two photo sensitive children live in her family estate.
- 54:33The trouble we begins when mom starts to believe the house is haunted.
- 54:37Kearns: It freaked me out in that movie was the locking of the doors.
- 54:41Jon: Yeah.
- 54:42Kearns: around and lock the doors after they went through them.
- 54:44I was young and I was like, this is, I don't like this.
- 54:46I don't like this at all.
- 54:48Jon: Mm-hmm.
- 54:49number three, one of Ty West's earlier movies, and I've really
- 54:54come to like what Ty West does, and it's the House of the Devil.
- 55:00a struggling college student takes a babysitting job that isn't all it seems.
- 55:05She's paid $400 and told that she's actually watching an older woman,
- 55:10and that's just the beginning of the weirdness in this one.
- 55:14Kearns: Interesting.
- 55:15Ryan: That
- 55:16Jon: Yeah, I, I think that has to go on the calendar somewhere.
- 55:20Ryan: Something.
- 55:21Jon: we've talked about the director.
- 55:23We did a whole episode on this, one of this director's movies.
- 55:26It's Eli Craig who directed Clown in the Cornfield, but this goes back before Clown
- 55:31the Cornfield with Tyler Labin and Alan Tig, it's Tucker and Dale versus Evil.
- 55:36Kearns: Nice.
- 55:37Jon: Which takes the twist on the hillbillies and the
- 55:41hillbillies as psycho killers.
- 55:43Two hillbillies vacationing at their new cabin are mistaken for psycho killers
- 55:47by a group of camping college students.
- 55:50Violence and hilarity ensue.
- 55:55And my number one I've been talking to you guys about for a couple of days
- 56:00now, I think, I think it's gonna get bumped onto the schedule really soon.
- 56:05It's, directed by Alexander Aja, who you know from other stuff he
- 56:10did later on, and it's high tension.
- 56:14Ryan: Yes.
- 56:16Jon: so a sadistic killer invades Maria and Alexia's Quiet
- 56:20weekend at a secluded farmhouse.
- 56:22The killer wipes out Alexia's whole family and kidnaps her Marie
- 56:26hides and then chases after to save her friend and catch the killer.
- 56:31Kearns: Nice.
- 56:33Ryan: you mentioned that to me.
- 56:34Yeah.
- 56:34This past weekend I looked it up.
- 56:37It looks good.
- 56:38Got my interest on there?
- 56:41Jon: Yep.
- 56:41Don't read too much.
- 56:42Kearns: up the top fives.
- 56:44Jon: yeah.
- 56:44Don't spoil that.
- 56:45Twist for yourself.
- 56:47Now
- 56:47Ryan: synopsis.
- 56:48Jon: twist.
- 56:49That's a twist.
- 56:52Kearns: Ah, that's actually high praise from John, guys.
- 56:56Ryan: Okay.
- 56:56Jon: Yeah.
- 56:57Kearns: All right, well that wraps up.
- 56:59That wraps up the top five and the
- 57:02Jon: right?
- 57:02Kearns: of the sixth Sense.
- 57:03Thank you guys.
- 57:05Jon: Yeah.
- 57:08See ya.
