- 0:06Hello. What's your least favorite scary
- 0:08movie? Things get messy when you make a
- 0:12deal with the devil. Welcome to What's Your least
- 0:14favorite Scary Movie? The podcast where we talk about
- 0:16the good, the bad, the ugly and the absurd and all of our
- 0:19favorite. And least favorite scary movies?
- 0:21Because we believe every horror movie rightfully has its fan
- 0:23base. Even if we don't always get it.
- 0:25My name is Travis. My name is Jesse and welcome to
- 0:27February. Yeah, new month.
- 0:29New month We don't have a poll, do we?
- 0:32No, look, I'm, I'm just going to level with everybody.
- 0:35We were woefully unprepared for this one right here.
- 0:38In fact, I didn't even get a chance to do call for reviews
- 0:40because we picked this movie for February.
- 0:44We we decided our schedule very last.
- 0:47Year. Yeah, it was, it was a we've
- 0:49been dealing with being stuck in our house, so it's been a lot.
- 0:52Yeah. Not that we're neglecting the
- 0:54show or anything like that. It's just we've we've had other
- 0:57things that we've had to kind of handle in the meantime.
- 1:00And I really. Being stuck in pits of ice.
- 1:03Yes, that's a huge part of it. And it really did just kind of
- 1:07take some mental resources away and, you know, like, I'm sorry
- 1:11it happened that way. But yeah, we're here.
- 1:15We're talking about the babysitter this week.
- 1:17Yeah, so we're just gonna hop right into it.
- 1:19Yeah, let's do a good time. Let's go.
- 1:21Let's go. All right, so The Babysitter
- 1:24released on Netflix October 13th, 2017.
- 1:28That's where you watch it is Netflix.
- 1:30Do you want to run it anywhere? No, you watch it on Netflix.
- 1:34Can I stream it somewhere else? No, you can watch it on Netflix.
- 1:36Maybe someday on Netflix. I've seen it's on Netflix all
- 1:44on. All I am trying to say is I'm
- 1:47seeing Netflix movies pop up in other places.
- 1:50I've seen Hush on Peacock, Netflix OK Netflix forever.
- 1:57So it was written by Brian Duffield, directed by Mick G
- 2:01music by Douglas Pipes. Fantastic name for a composer.
- 2:05Yeah, right. Like he was born for that.
- 2:08He's absolutely meant to be destined.
- 2:10Only if he does everything acapella.
- 2:13We're on an Oregon. We're on an Oregon.
- 2:16I prefer acapella. Let's see special effects.
- 2:19I got there wasn't a designated special effects makeup artist,
- 2:22but the makeup department head was Francisco X Perez, starring
- 2:27Judah Lewis as Cole, Samara Weaving as B, Robbie Amel as
- 2:32Max, Hana Mae Lee as Sonya. Bella Thorne is Allison, Emily
- 2:39Allen Lind is Melanie and Andrew Batchelor as John.
- 2:43Yeah. Travis.
- 2:45Yeah. Time for our favorite game on
- 2:46this show. Budget or button?
- 2:53Shoot, this is a tough one. It's got it looks good, but it
- 2:58also looks like it could have been made cheap.
- 3:00So I'm going to go buck tab. Yeah, I actually don't have, no,
- 3:03I don't have a number for it. Netflix.
- 3:06Yeah, yeah. They're pretty selective with
- 3:08releasing that information. I did find one site that stated
- 3:13it made $404,000, I don't know from where.
- 3:19OK. But it does have a 6.4 out of 10
- 3:22on IMDb. Cool.
- 3:23You know, I think even some of these Netflix ones, some of them
- 3:27get theatrical releases so they can be considered.
- 3:29I don't think that this movie was ever going to win awards,
- 3:32but you know, maybe like horror theme awards maybe.
- 3:36I don't know if that's what they were thinking.
- 3:38I that's interesting. I've got something in the fun
- 3:40facts. It's not awards related, but it
- 3:42like did make lists. Oh, OK, cool.
- 3:44Interesting. We'll talk about that in a
- 3:45minute, all right? I did.
- 3:47I did notice the theme in 2017 and I'm choosing to label that
- 3:52theme. I'm just a kid in my life as a
- 3:54nightmare. It's not fair.
- 3:59You know it. So the first one, is it chapter
- 4:011? Yeah, definitely.
- 4:03Yep. A bunch of kids.
- 4:05Bullshit clown shit. Yeah, like me isn't drug.
- 4:09What is that guy? The guy that Eddie encounters?
- 4:15It's not important. Yeah, it's.
- 4:17Whatever I'm I'm just thinking of all the monsters Pennywise
- 4:19became. Yeah, it so it Chapter 1
- 4:23released September 9th, 2017 on a budget of 35 million and a
- 4:27gross of 719,000,000. So did OK.
- 4:31It did OK. It did OK.
- 4:35IMDb. Score of 7.3 out of seven.
- 4:38It it did all right with the with the people.
- 4:41Yeah. Yeah.
- 4:43OK, second movie wish upon. Oh my God yes that movie shoof.
- 4:49I don't remember much about it but I remember there was an
- 4:52elevator scene that made me feel real tense because I fun fact
- 4:57about me, I'm afraid of elevators.
- 5:00I will take them when I have to. I don't like it.
- 5:03Yeah, they're they're pretty scary for me.
- 5:06This is kind of a repeat of our Patreon episode.
- 5:09I for some reason remember musical instrument scenes,
- 5:12especially when they're wind instruments, because I just
- 5:15remember the dad. OK, a tramphone is not a wind
- 5:17instrument, it is brass. This.
- 5:18Is a saxophone, is that that's brass?
- 5:20OK, whatever. Look, I'm not a band person, OK?
- 5:24I don't know this shit, all right?
- 5:25I was in choir, a cappella. We had a piano that was a.
- 5:29Were you acapella or not? God damn it sometimes.
- 5:32Regardless, I just remember the dad after a wish going well,
- 5:36he's just like down there playing saxophone for people.
- 5:38And I was like what the fuck is this?
- 5:39What is happening? I don't remember that as much.
- 5:43It's there, I promise. OK Wish upon released July 14th,
- 5:482017 Budget of 12 million Worldwide Gross 23 million.
- 5:52IMDb 5.1 out of 10. We were part of that 23 mil.
- 5:56We were. We were.
- 5:57And then the third movie, we have seen it one time.
- 6:01OK, Game of Death. Game of Death.
- 6:04I'm pretty sure that was a me pick during it in October.
- 6:07Was that the? They have the game and it like
- 6:10they have to choose somebody to like, they have to murder people
- 6:14or their heads explode. Yeah, I remember that.
- 6:16That's the one that's on the shutter.
- 6:17Yes, Yeah, that's right. Yeah, and it was a surprisingly
- 6:19graphic. Yeah, I need to watch it again
- 6:23to remember how I feel. I remember feeling kind of it.
- 6:25Was OK, I think. Yeah, yeah.
- 6:27I can't really remember too much myself.
- 6:29Yeah, I think the weirdest thing was that they were all teens.
- 6:31It ended up being important to the plot, but it was just kind
- 6:34of like this feels like it was meant to be for young adults but
- 6:37they also needed them to not be able to drive and purchase
- 6:41things. Stuff.
- 6:43Anyway, Game of Death released March 20th, 2017.
- 6:46I don't have a budget, but I have again a worldwide gross
- 6:50number of $8120. IMDb 5.0 out of 10.
- 6:55So the Internet agrees. It's kind.
- 6:57Of. Yeah, OK, OK.
- 6:59I only have one tagline, but I do have a tagline which we don't
- 7:03always get. That's true.
- 7:04Straight to streaming. Especially Netflix Moon.
- 7:06Yes. OK, what is it?
- 7:07Dreamgirls can be a nightmare. That's pretty good.
- 7:10Yeah, that's really bad. Yeah.
- 7:12OK, I have a few fun facts. OK, As I stated, this was really
- 7:17hard for me to look up because if you try and look up
- 7:21Babysitter 2017 movie behind the scenes, like you get a bunch of
- 7:25indie films like homemade productions for the Babysitter,
- 7:30you get the K Pop group, BTS. It was just it was difficult.
- 7:36So I've got a few things. OK, the first thing that I was
- 7:41alluding to before in December 2014, The Babysitter actually
- 7:45appeared on the 2014 Blacklist, which is a list of the best
- 7:48unproduced movie scripts. Whoa, really?
- 7:51Yes. So this has been sitting out
- 7:53there for a little bit Before it was eventually bought up, MC GS
- 7:57production company Wonderland Sound and Vision did buy the
- 8:01rights to produce this. They ended up Co producing it,
- 8:04Co financing it with New Line Cinema.
- 8:06OK. But before he was pulled in to
- 8:09direct, a couple of the other names that were out there were
- 8:12Joe Lynch and Jason Eisner. Jason Eisner, That sounds
- 8:16familiar. Oh, what was a shotgun?
- 8:18Oh yeah, duty great short list of.
- 8:21Directors, yes. Yeah, Mick G has a a music video
- 8:27background which I think is definitely visible in this and I
- 8:31think it kind of works for the tone of the script, me
- 8:34personally. Those would have been 3
- 8:37completely different. Movies.
- 8:38Absolutely it would. I want to see a version done by
- 8:42each of them. You know, if we and I have
- 8:46watched Hobo with a Shotgun now, I watched it one day when I was
- 8:49here by myself. That movie's fucking crazy.
- 8:53If we had that, we could have had some Trailer Park Boys.
- 8:55Oh my God, yeah. Can you imagine Ricky being one
- 8:59of the babysitters? Oh my God, he's Max.
- 9:03I was gonna say. He's the one with that shirt.
- 9:05That would be Randy. Yeah.
- 9:08We just have to have Randy there.
- 9:10The only other thing I had was that it was shot in LA OK, so
- 9:14that was that was kind of a let down to end on.
- 9:17But you know, we have, you know, the information.
- 9:20We got some what ifs there. I actually that's kind of cool
- 9:22that you have the, the short list of directors there, cuz
- 9:25that, that's interesting. Yeah man, wow, way different.
- 9:29Like all three of these people have very distinct styles.
- 9:32Very distinct styles, so I like. Honestly, I want to travel to
- 9:37the other alternate universes where each of them got there.
- 9:41Yeah, OK, so that's it for fun facts and background, and we're
- 9:46just going to go ahead and get right to our good, bad, ugly and
- 9:49absurd tracks. Please kick it off.
- 9:52I. Feed the floor to the gentleman.
- 9:55This is a good segue because the very first thing I wrote down
- 9:58was the style of this. Yeah, McGee has a really, like,
- 10:02he's got a signature style. I think it really works well
- 10:06with horror movies. We've seen some of his other
- 10:09movies that he's done that are like comedies and that style
- 10:12works for this too. But I, I just think like the
- 10:16punchiness of everything It, it works with the, the gruesomeness
- 10:20of like the things that he's doing here.
- 10:23And I, I think it works better with horror timing than it does
- 10:26with comedic timing. And yeah, it's just, it's
- 10:30really, really stylized and it has this really awesome look to
- 10:33it. And it it just, yeah, it looks
- 10:35phenomenal. Speaking of the movie itself
- 10:38though, like the story, I like how they build up the
- 10:41relationship with B and Cole because it makes it that much
- 10:46more heartbreaking for him whenever he has that moment
- 10:50where he's like really sad that she betrayed him and it makes
- 10:54his. Responsible for taking his
- 10:55innocence away. Yeah, and it makes his whole
- 10:58growing up that much more interesting seeing him have to
- 11:02make that decision of like, OK, like I have to drive my car into
- 11:05you now. Like you leave me with no other.
- 11:07Yeah. And that was I love that line.
- 11:09Like, I like you did this. I drove a car into you.
- 11:13Yeah. That was just like final line to
- 11:14her. Yeah, cuz she was like, don't
- 11:16you get it? I'm the big bad and he's like,
- 11:18I'm an adult cuz I loved you. And then I found out you were
- 11:22using me and you were going to go somewhere else and you're
- 11:24going to use other kids. So I drove a car into you.
- 11:27Yeah. Great line.
- 11:30And he doesn't say anything else after that.
- 11:32Yeah, it's great. I like the action moments that
- 11:34we have here, like the the horror moments.
- 11:37I just like the idea of having like the group of high schoolers
- 11:41there. And they all are their own
- 11:43distinct like stereotypes of a high school character.
- 11:46But they play it all so well, and it's written so well.
- 11:49And I love it too 'cause you can't see them being a group of
- 11:52friends all together, but you can see how B would be the
- 11:55common friend between them. You can see that for sure.
- 11:58And also just the idea of murder and Satan is the thing that
- 12:03brings these different types of people all together.
- 12:06And it was a really nice blend of people.
- 12:08Satan. Yeah, and the movie has some
- 12:10really good humor to it too. Like it, it knows how to have
- 12:13like, some good, like, like it eases off a little bit and it'll
- 12:18like throw in some funny moments and but it knows how to like,
- 12:21ease right back into the horror, like right after that.
- 12:24And it's all pretty seamless. And I don't know, I think this
- 12:26is a really well made movie altogether.
- 12:29OK. Yeah, I I agree.
- 12:31The very number one thing for me is that relationship between B
- 12:35and Cole, because you can see it like she's definitely that older
- 12:38person that he's got kind of a crush on, but also just admires
- 12:42because she's funny, she's cool, she's badass.
- 12:45She's into the nerdy shit. Yeah.
- 12:47She treats him like a human being in a way that most other
- 12:50people are not treating him. And you can see the importance
- 12:53of that. Also, Smara weaving is just.
- 12:56Yeah, she's awesome. She's amazing, yeah, that's
- 12:58great cast, fantastic and everything she does.
- 13:00But she does this role especially spectacularly and we
- 13:03get her trademark whale at the end, which is great.
- 13:09Yeah, when he's driving a car into.
- 13:11Yes. No, it's actually when he burns
- 13:13the book. That's right.
- 13:14Yeah, Yeah, yeah. So I think that that's great.
- 13:17I like, like you said, it's a really good balance of horror
- 13:20and humor. I think if it went too much in
- 13:23one way or the other, it would feel off.
- 13:24But it's a great balance. And I love those moments of
- 13:27like, they did, they take a moment to pause from like all of
- 13:32the murder stuff, and they address other things that are
- 13:34going on, like Max's whole thing of teaching Cold to stand up for
- 13:39himself. I love that moment man.
- 13:41That was so good. Like he's about to kill him.
- 13:42He's like hold on, this dude is dissing you in your own house,
- 13:46go fuck him up. Other side of the coin of
- 13:48treating him like an adult, treating him like a whole person
- 13:52and. It's crazy how the killers are
- 13:54the most like nice people when it comes to that right there.
- 13:56Like they're like, hey, you're a person.
- 13:58I'm still going to kill you, but I'm going to treat you like a
- 14:00person. And I also kind of like it in a
- 14:03way, it kind of gives me Scott Pilgrim vibes with the way he
- 14:07kind of faces off one person after the other.
- 14:09Like we have those different battle scenes and settings and
- 14:12different ways of defeating them.
- 14:14And I think that it just, it all flows really nicely.
- 14:17And this is this is just one of those movies.
- 14:19It's a nice easy movie to watch. It's one that I watch a lot, a
- 14:23lot when I'm, like, working on sewing projects.
- 14:26And I just want something in the background that I can, like,
- 14:29digest without having to, like, stop and stare at the screen all
- 14:32the time. Yeah, but it is also really
- 14:34enjoyable to stop and stare and watch the screen the whole time.
- 14:37Yeah. OK, so let's go into some bad, I
- 14:41guess. Yeah, I this is a movie that I
- 14:46struggle to think of much bad with it.
- 14:49Not that it's like a perfect movie or anything, but like,
- 14:52it's hard for me to single anything out in particular.
- 14:56I guess. Like even though like the
- 14:59editing and like the way that this movie is shot is really
- 15:02tight, there are some parts of the style that kind of aren't
- 15:06necessary. Like you have like moments of
- 15:07like the text where like all of a sudden it's like, fuck yeah on
- 15:10the middle of the screen. It's like, I don't need you to
- 15:12tell me. Fuck yeah.
- 15:13Like I, I will say fuck yeah whenever I feel fuck yeah, you
- 15:16know? And it doesn't really Take Me
- 15:19Out of it too much because again, you have something like
- 15:21that. And Scott Pilgrim too, but I
- 15:25feel like they did it in Scott Pilgrim in a way that was it
- 15:29made more sense. I think we had the same
- 15:31conversation like two or three years ago with My Valentine
- 15:35because it is a similar kind of stylistic choice, but it wasn't
- 15:38consistent enough to feel intentional.
- 15:41Yeah, and that really is, that might be the only thing I could
- 15:45really critique about this movie itself, you know?
- 15:49Yeah, I, I honestly and like, I like those moments, but I agree
- 15:53with you that it does tend to feel kind of inconsistent with
- 15:55how it's done. Yeah, I mean, like the movie,
- 15:58like The thing is like it's not a big story.
- 16:02Like it's so simple. Like it's hard to really like.
- 16:05I'm not going to ask you to go bigger with it.
- 16:07Like I'm fine with it. Like a small story, like we
- 16:10don't really have to have much and I.
- 16:12Think babysitter movies should be simple?
- 16:15Yeah, yeah, I think so too. Yeah, it's just, yeah.
- 16:18I mean, like, I don't know, it's hard.
- 16:21It's just one of those movies that it is what it is.
- 16:24OK, yeah, I I think I pretty much agree with you on on all
- 16:28those points. OK, what is your ugly?
- 16:31Oh boy, ugly. God it's so tough.
- 16:37I hate that this kid has to feel like he has to demolish like
- 16:41huge parts of his childhood. That way he feels like he can be
- 16:44a normal person or a grown up and be taken seriously.
- 16:48Because that's one of those things where when he's like
- 16:51talking about his tree house is being taken down, you're going
- 16:53to regret that when you get older.
- 16:55Because that's like one of those things that you'll go see and
- 16:57that will bring back memories and stuff.
- 16:59And, you know, you might even want to climb back up in there
- 17:01and just like, take a look. Yeah.
- 17:03Also. Like let's I don't know, like
- 17:06I've done that with my aunt before.
- 17:08Like she would take us out to her tree house that she was in a
- 17:11lot when she was younger. Those are I've got several
- 17:14pictures of us there even, but it would be cool.
- 17:17To be able to like revisit it. And that's just like one of
- 17:20those ugly things, like it's, I understand why he did it.
- 17:24And he's like a, he's like a preteen at this point or
- 17:27something. He's 12.
- 17:28OK, yeah, so preteen. And he, you know, he's really
- 17:31trying to make that jump, but he's not making rational
- 17:34decisions. And it, you know, it's just like
- 17:35a hard time. It's an awkward time to be in
- 17:38right there. And it's just really unfortunate
- 17:41that he has to go through such shit to try and feel normal.
- 17:44Yeah, I'm gonna say my ugly is Melanie's dad.
- 17:49I thought about that too. He's kind of funny as like a
- 17:53comedic relief type character. He shows up more in the sequel.
- 17:56Yeah, he's funny as a comedic relief character, but when you
- 17:59stop and actually think about like, the reality of him as
- 18:02Melanie's primary caregiver, it's sad.
- 18:07The worst part is he's out in the front one with Melanie
- 18:10standing right behind him and he's using the garden hose as
- 18:15his like Dick, like spraying it on the car.
- 18:17Like that's intentional, dude. Nobody like.
- 18:19Who are you getting that for? That is not your natural
- 18:22shooting area right there. Ergonomical.
- 18:25No, like chess hive dude. You don't bring it down to your
- 18:27Dick unless you're trying to make it your Dick.
- 18:30He was trying to make it his. Dick.
- 18:31And he was trying to make it his Dick.
- 18:32Yeah, OK, absurd. Absurd.
- 18:36So where the fuck were all the neighbors during all this shit?
- 18:39Like they're in like an actual neighborhood.
- 18:41We see all kinds of houses. There's gunshots.
- 18:44Affluent, yeah. Affluent.
- 18:46Thank you. Yeah.
- 18:47And you know, like cops will be there and there's like, no,
- 18:51there's no presence. What?
- 18:53I mean, there are two cops that show up.
- 18:55And after the cops show up, like you would think that people look
- 19:00living in the neighborhood, anytime you see lights outside
- 19:03of your house, you go, oh, absolutely everybody peeks.
- 19:06And after seeing cops show up and then like 20-30 minutes
- 19:11later you start hearing shotgun blasts all of a sudden at that
- 19:13house and the cops are gone like.
- 19:15You need more nosy neighbors. Yeah, exactly like that.
- 19:18It was just like, come on, where are the people you know?
- 19:22Yeah, Also the amount of like, apparently they they have like a
- 19:26tarantula infestation. Yeah, because.
- 19:28Like that crawl space, Like, is that normal?
- 19:31Like, where was this? This is LA like, yeah, or
- 19:34torrential. Is like in your house normal
- 19:36over there? I don't fucking know.
- 19:37That's terrifying. Yeah, I don't want any part of
- 19:39that. Yeah, and Mom's way too casual
- 19:42about it. Yeah, right.
- 19:43Like tarantulas? Isn't that spider is big enough
- 19:45to set off a rat trap? Yeah, it is.
- 19:48Yeah. Like, God, that's my nightmare,
- 19:51OK. My absurd is at the very end
- 19:54when Cole, in his moment of like, final ascension into
- 19:59adulthood, tells his parents he doesn't need a babysitter
- 20:02anymore because Sir, you ran a car into your fucking house.
- 20:06I think you're never going to be left home alone again.
- 20:08Yeah, You know, that was such a weird plan.
- 20:11He's like, OK, I burned the book, I got the keys.
- 20:15I got to drive it into the house on top of her.
- 20:18How do you even know that's going to work?
- 20:20I. How does he know that he's gonna
- 20:22barrel roll off that ramp perfectly right where she's at?
- 20:25Well cuz they commented him about him like adjusting some of
- 20:28those RC cars before. Yeah, but still and.
- 20:31Doing a barrel roll so. RC cars.
- 20:34I know real cars. I agree.
- 20:36I'm just saying that's the callback that they're doing.
- 20:39OK, whatever. But yeah, no, there's no way
- 20:42he's getting left home alone again.
- 20:43Ever. No, no.
- 20:47OK. Overall, what do you rate this?
- 20:49This is a good 7 for me. Right here.
- 20:51Yes. I feel very strongly that it's a
- 20:537 as well. Yeah.
- 20:54OK. All right, cool.
- 20:56We're good to talk. Let's do this.
- 20:58We start off just seeing Cole being scared of getting a flu
- 21:01shot I got. This person's like, come on,
- 21:04man, don't fuck with me right now, like.
- 21:05I've I've done 62 other shots today.
- 21:08I got 94 more to go. We got to get this done.
- 21:11Yeah, yeah. I like that's real.
- 21:14Yeah, it is. That's a very real feeling.
- 21:17Why does he need his whole shirt off to get the shot?
- 21:19That's a great question. I also like this moment with him
- 21:23in the gym and he just gets a dodge ball to the head and a guy
- 21:26in the background out of focus is just like pussy.
- 21:28I my head cannon is that that's the coach, and it's specifically
- 21:33the coach from 21 Jump St. Oh my God.
- 21:36Rob Riggle. Yes.
- 21:37Yeah, because it even kind of sounds like Rob Riggle's voice
- 21:39it. Kind of does.
- 21:40You're right. Yeah.
- 21:41Wow. Great head cannon.
- 21:42You love it. We see Cole and Melanie standing
- 21:46outside of the school and she says that her dad got this dream
- 21:50car after the divorce. I called it the Midlife Mobile.
- 21:54Midlife crisis mobile? Yes, absolutely.
- 21:57Another cool thing about this shot, this is one of the things
- 21:59that I really like. Like the style with this movie
- 22:01is like they're in like they're having a conversation.
- 22:03Everything around them is in slow motion, but they're like
- 22:06like moving at normal speed, which is really cool.
- 22:08I thought it was like he looked really cool.
- 22:10And then she asked if they can give Cole a ride home.
- 22:14He goes. Your parents are probably
- 22:15expecting you to take the bus. Are they expecting you to take
- 22:17the bus, Cole? And he goes, you know, probably.
- 22:19Yeah, he's like, yeah. He's like.
- 22:21Brian, take the bus. All right, see you at home,
- 22:23neighbor. It's not even that far out of
- 22:25the way. They're neighbors and.
- 22:27Then Cole doesn't even ride the bus, he walks.
- 22:32So as he's on his way home, Jeremy and his crew stop by and
- 22:36just decide that they're gonna harass him a little bit.
- 22:38Listen, Jeremy, he's a shit. But he comes up with some really
- 22:43funny, mean nicknames for Cold. Colonoscopy.
- 22:45Full advantage, yeah. Yeah, colon cancer.
- 22:50So bad. Yeah, yeah, but you know, that's
- 22:52true to the teenage bullies. Yes, because he's really mean.
- 22:56He's really mean. Cole's got some good answers to
- 22:58him here. He's like he.
- 22:59Is kind of like responding, but he doesn't have confidence.
- 23:02That's one of those things like he's smart and witty enough.
- 23:05Like he just needs to approach it with confidence and he'd be
- 23:08fine. Yeah, because like he's trying
- 23:10to brag to Cole that he got with one of the high school kids and
- 23:14he was like, I don't care about this man.
- 23:17And he's like, why don't Like, you know what?
- 23:18Like I'm going to make you care and then whenever he starts to
- 23:21care, he's like, I don't want you to care.
- 23:23It's fucking head games man. But at this point, B rocks up,
- 23:28totally calls out Jeremy. He says hey, what are you doing?
- 23:30And she whispers something in his ear what she's going to do
- 23:33if he messes with Cole again. And then she pops his front.
- 23:37Yeah, great. Love it.
- 23:39It's a it's a great moment and she gives Cole a ride the rest
- 23:42of the home, rest of the way home, and she asks if they
- 23:45bother him a lot, if he's the one who eggs his house and he's
- 23:48just kind of like, no. And then she goes.
- 23:51You look away when you lie. I.
- 23:53Gotta tell. And he's like, listen, we are,
- 23:57here's what you need to do. Next time they're chasing you,
- 24:00they've almost got you, drop like a sack of rocks, then kick
- 24:02him in the Dick. Yep.
- 24:04Which is solid advice. Yeah, great self-defense right
- 24:06there. Well, OK, I'm gonna take it a
- 24:09little bit back because don't ever drop to the ground if you
- 24:13can avoid it. That's almost a game ender for
- 24:16you if you don't know how to grapple your way back up.
- 24:19If you're being chased, yes, and they're right on your heels,
- 24:22just drop and trip them over you and then take that opportunity
- 24:25to kick them in the Dick. That's assuming that you can get
- 24:28like surprise them with your dropping.
- 24:29Yeah. Anyway, she he says something
- 24:33like, oh, I'm your little Protestant and she's confused
- 24:36and this feels so realistic for your 12 year old.
- 24:38Like kind of knows the word but doesn't know the actual word.
- 24:41And she goes, no, I would be the prostitute and your parents
- 24:43would be whatever. Like we're not having this
- 24:45conversation. I would hang out with you
- 24:46anyway, 'cause you're cool. And she's just, yeah, like I
- 24:49said, she's just like this great.
- 24:51Like babysitter but also friend for Cole.
- 24:54Yeah, Yeah. So he's back home.
- 24:58He's trying to be a grown up. He's, I think he's working on
- 25:00his RC card here in the kitchen or is that later?
- 25:02That's later. This is his mom has left to know
- 25:06that she's in the crawl space. So he goes to help and talk to
- 25:09her. And, you know, she's saying
- 25:11like, oh, we're just going to leave the spiders alone because
- 25:12they eat bugs. And then the dad tries to take
- 25:16him to drive in the parking lot, which I mean, I guess it's cool
- 25:20that he's doing it when he's still young.
- 25:23Maybe it's too young. Maybe it's like a coal is so
- 25:26afraid of everything. We need 4 years to ease him.
- 25:28Into this. You know, they know him better
- 25:30than we do. Yeah.
- 25:32Yeah. He's afraid to drive the car in
- 25:34an empty parking lot, even. And then his dad is like, do
- 25:37you, the other kids make fun of you for still having a
- 25:39babysitter at your age? And he goes, yeah, but then they
- 25:41see her and. Then they get jealous.
- 25:43Yep. His parents are in their bedroom
- 25:46that night and he's like going in to talk to them.
- 25:49Dad is binging Mad Men and Cole is like, oh, is that a show I'm
- 25:55not allowed to watch? And they're like, it's just
- 25:56dense. Like it's just, it's not that
- 25:58it's like on HBO and yes, sexy scandalous.
- 26:01It's just dense for adults. And then he goes and he binges
- 26:05presumably at least the first season and says, who cares?
- 26:08Which is my exact feelings after watching the first season of Mad
- 26:12Men. I'm sorry if you love Mad Men.
- 26:15I had to force myself through that season.
- 26:17I never want to watch anymore. When did you watch it and why
- 26:20did you watch it? It was several years ago and I
- 26:22watched it just because I was like, oh, I want to start a new
- 26:27show. Sorry, no.
- 26:27I mean, like, why did you see it all the way through to the end
- 26:30of that season if you didn't care?
- 26:31Because I thought it was going to get better and it didn't.
- 26:33And I watched like half of the first episode of the second
- 26:36season and I was like Nope, not for me.
- 26:37Look, I just think you don't like AMC shows because you also
- 26:41don't like Breaking Bad. I liked the last season of
- 26:43Breaking Bad. You probably a little Better
- 26:46Call Saul Also. I think I would like Better Call
- 26:49Saul. Yeah, I've never watched Mad Men
- 26:51either. It's not really caught my
- 26:53interest. Yeah, no, I just agree with
- 26:55Cole. Who cares?
- 26:57So he's on the bus with Melanie again.
- 26:59They're talking about like, you know, do parents have sex?
- 27:03And she's like, yeah, yeah, they probably have sex whenever
- 27:06you're in the house, too. And then she's like, and you
- 27:08know, that's what Bea is doing whenever you're she's
- 27:11babysitting. He's like, no way.
- 27:12And she's like, well, I dare you to stay up and see what happens.
- 27:16So that is the crux of this movie.
- 27:20But there. So that night be arrives, they
- 27:24have a dance party. Oh, before, though, we see like
- 27:28he's watching from the distance at school and he sees her with
- 27:30the dude at one of the it's like a store, like a grocery liquor
- 27:34store. And this is going to be one of
- 27:36the guys that comes to the party later.
- 27:38I it makes you think in the moment that it's her boyfriend
- 27:42because she's like all up on him and like kissing him on the
- 27:44cheek and stuff. But we'll see you later that
- 27:47it's not quite like that. Yes.
- 27:49OK, so then she arrives. Dance, party, swimming.
- 27:52They make pizza and they talk about their intergalactic dream
- 27:55teams. It can have five people, 6 if
- 27:57you absolutely have to have a duo.
- 27:59But the duo has to make sense. Like you can't have a Predator
- 28:02and an alien because that doesn't work.
- 28:05They cancel each other out. So I can't remember that her
- 28:08team, she's got Sigourney Weaver.
- 28:11Kirk, Picard, Ripley, and then Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum
- 28:16from Independence Day. And xenomorphic.
- 28:19Xenomorphic. Yeah, Yeah.
- 28:21So the whole plan is that they eventually get to the big bads
- 28:26spaceship and Ripley sneaks in and releases the xenomorphic.
- 28:30Yeah, this is cool. I like their whole chemistry
- 28:33here. Yeah, I like this scene,
- 28:34especially with them watching the movie in the backyard on the
- 28:37projector and throwing the shadow cast.
- 28:39Yeah, it's just really cool. I like it.
- 28:41Yeah, the the whole, it just feels like a really good time.
- 28:44And then she's like, all right, time for bed.
- 28:46And he's like, I'm not tired. She goes, I'm exhausted.
- 28:49And she's like, what if I give you a shot?
- 28:52Will you go to bed? Which seems like one of those
- 28:54like older person trying to be cool, the younger person moment
- 28:58And Cole, because he's afraid of everything, is also afraid of
- 29:02taking the shot. So he says aren't you going to
- 29:05do it with me? And she goes OK, and she goes
- 29:07back to get it and he dumps it in the plant.
- 29:09Yep. While she's doing that.
- 29:10And then she comes back and she's like, you didn't even wait
- 29:12for me. I've had these moments at bars.
- 29:15You've done that before. Not where I've done it, but
- 29:18we're like somebody else is like, let's do a shot together
- 29:20and then I go get them and they've already taken theirs and
- 29:22I'm like. Oh yeah, why it's not together
- 29:25then? Yeah, we just.
- 29:26Both had a shot. But you know it's fine.
- 29:28Yeah, so she tucks them in and he's pretending to be asleep,
- 29:33and he stays up and he starts to call Melanie to talk about
- 29:37everything. And she's like, I bet they're
- 29:39having orgies down there. Yeah, they're texting that.
- 29:42Oh, they are OK. Yeah, yeah.
- 29:43Yeah, about 11 forties. When people come in and we see
- 29:47around there around the circle, we've got Max, Allison, John,
- 29:51Sonja, Samuel and B They're playing truth or dare, but the
- 29:55version of truth or dare where you have to spin a bottle to
- 29:57make your choice. Interesting.
- 29:59So two games combined? Yeah.
- 30:01Yeah, and B is dared to kiss everybody in the group and she
- 30:05does something different for each of them, which I think is
- 30:07fun. Yeah, yeah, she does like the
- 30:10Godfather. Yeah.
- 30:11Yeah, to Robbie and now. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 30:16But she, she goes through all that and she goes to Sam last.
- 30:18And then he, like, stands up and he's like, listen, I don't even
- 30:21know you guys really that well. I just don't feel good about
- 30:24this. And she goes, just relax and she
- 30:27kisses him. And you have this moment where
- 30:29you're like, man, she's not just nice to this geeky little kid
- 30:33that she babysits, so she's nice to the other geeks.
- 30:35Yeah, he was also kind of like cold, too, when he was like, you
- 30:39know, he was afraid and he was trying to back out of it, and
- 30:41then he just dies. Yeah, and then she stabs 2
- 30:44knives into his head, which damn be way to be strong.
- 30:49Yeah, yeah. First of all.
- 30:50Penetrate the skull like that, holy shit.
- 30:52With both hands. Yeah, yeah, it's really tough.
- 30:55Yeah. And so they have to gather the
- 30:58blood in these gauntlets. And this starts John just
- 31:03consistently getting sprayed with blood.
- 31:05I like this running gag where it's just like every time, just
- 31:08like blood shoots on him all over the place.
- 31:10And you can tell make G like John Batchelor.
- 31:14He was batch on Vine or Bach. I don't know how it was
- 31:17pronounced but you can tell him MC G really likes him because he
- 31:20also used him Holiday. Yeah, and shit, there's another.
- 31:24That family switch. There's another.
- 31:27It's another. Netflix movie that he did.
- 31:29Yeah, I think he's in that. He probably is I.
- 31:30Think he is? He's in pretty much everything
- 31:32I've seen MC G do. Yeah, yeah.
- 31:35So they then they start referring to Samuel as Sacrifice
- 31:39Samuel. And they're like, man, I got
- 31:40Sacrifice Samuel in my mouth, which I think is just just a
- 31:44great little tiny bit of writing.
- 31:48And at this point, Cole has already snack out to watch all
- 31:51of this. Like, he's seen all the kids.
- 31:52And he's like, well, this is great.
- 31:53And then he sees the murderer. He's like, Nope.
- 31:56And then he hears B say, OK, now we've got to go collect the
- 31:59blood of the innocent. So he runs to his room.
- 32:02He calls the cops, grabs his pocket knife, and he's going to
- 32:05try and get out the window. But he hears them.
- 32:07They're too close. So he just climbs into bed and
- 32:10he, I was really proud of him in this moment because they go to
- 32:13take his blood. And we hear Max say, like,
- 32:16wouldn't it just be quicker and easier to just kill him?
- 32:18And she goes, no, for this to work, you gotta have that high
- 32:22shelf, pure shit. And he is like a fountain of
- 32:24that to us. Yeah, so sad.
- 32:28Yeah. So sad.
- 32:30Yeah, and he's afraid of needles.
- 32:31So they that's why she like gave him, you know, the sleep stuff
- 32:35and is trying to do this and. See.
- 32:36Yeah, yeah, we find out later, but it's relevant to this point
- 32:40that she. Oh, no, actually, she says it
- 32:42right here. She.
- 32:43She gave him enough like of a sedative in the shot to keep him
- 32:46asleep for 8 hours minimum. Yeah.
- 32:49So Sonya takes the needle and draws the blood and.
- 32:53Just to give him two times she missed the vein the first time
- 32:56sucks. Well, yeah, she missed the vein,
- 32:58but it also makes me think Italia because she was getting
- 33:01her blood checked for like once every couple of weeks for so
- 33:05long with her, her autoimmune thing that happened this summer.
- 33:09And we would go to the vet and they like they draw it like
- 33:14through a little tube and everything and it is a really
- 33:16impressive setup. But her veins started scarring
- 33:19up. Yeah, she got scar tissue built.
- 33:21So they just kind of started drawing the blood in straight
- 33:24into the vial like this. They had to with her because it
- 33:27wasn't wanting to go through the the to be loop thing.
- 33:31I don't know. I don't do blood.
- 33:33So the to be loop thing. Yeah, the to be loop thing
- 33:35that's, I mean definitely the scientific name for.
- 33:38It that's what I've always heard, they leave and he's like,
- 33:42OK, this is my chance. I'm going to escape from the
- 33:44window. Before they leave, Bee is the
- 33:46last one out and she kind of looks over and notes that the
- 33:49windows open and she. You can see it on her face.
- 33:51She's like, that wasn't open before.
- 33:53Yeah. So they leave and he he gets out
- 33:56of bed, ties his sheets together, and he's getting ready
- 33:59to go out the window. And then B is right behind him.
- 34:02He sees her, passes out, and when he wakes up, he's tied up
- 34:05to a chair. Max is shirtless.
- 34:07We never find out why Max is shirtless.
- 34:09They never answer it now like this.
- 34:10And that's the very first question is like, why is he
- 34:12shirtless and. Like why is that your first
- 34:14question? That's a great first.
- 34:15Question. Even funnier is that when he
- 34:17asks why John is covered in blood, he goes because nobody
- 34:19will give me their shirt. So where did Max's shirt go?
- 34:22Why? Why does he hate John enough to
- 34:24not give him the shirt that he's not wearing anyway?
- 34:27Would never work. So they're going back and forth
- 34:30like every time B asks him a question because they're just
- 34:33trying to figure out how much he knows.
- 34:34Yeah, how much he's seen. And he's got the pocket knife
- 34:37and he's cutting the rope. And they're like, they don't
- 34:39realize that he's, he doesn't realize that there's a mirror
- 34:41behind him. And he keeps cutting the rope
- 34:42and they just keep talking about how they can see it.
- 34:44But they're not stopping him. So I don't blame him.
- 34:46You got to keep going. That's your way out right there.
- 34:48Yeah, and eventually they feel comfortable because B says that
- 34:52the blood was for science. And he's like, you could've just
- 34:54told me, and I would have let you.
- 34:57And she was like, all right, And tie him, let him go.
- 34:59And then the cops pull up. And then she goes, why are the
- 35:03cops here, Cole? Why would the cops show up if
- 35:06you didn't see anything that you felt like was worth calling the
- 35:08cops over? And so they bust in.
- 35:11Max throws a fire poker. Yeah.
- 35:14Into one of their eyes. The other one shoots Allison in
- 35:18the boob. And then BTCBS knocks out both
- 35:22cops. And then the radio is going off
- 35:26and she asks Cole what is the code for all clear.
- 35:30And he says something. I didn't write it down.
- 35:33It's. Like a 10 something.
- 35:35I don't know, yeah. And she was like you still don't
- 35:38get it. You look away when you lie.
- 35:41So she makes him give the all clear code and the stopping for
- 35:44food code and they said Roger that.
- 35:47Enjoy your double double. We still could have lied to her
- 35:50here and just looked her in the eye.
- 35:52Yeah, like, come on, Cole. Oh well, yeah, Allison wakes up
- 35:56and she starts like she's hysterical, which is fair.
- 35:59She was shot in the boob and is really close to her heart.
- 36:02I thought for sure it was like a death kill, like a death blow.
- 36:07But no, she's just mourning the loss of her boob.
- 36:09Nobody wants to know to rebuild them anymore.
- 36:10Nobody's going to want to suck on that nipple.
- 36:12Yeah. I mean, I don't know, maybe if
- 36:14you guys somebody that truly loves you, but also you're kind
- 36:17of a bad person. Yeah, she's pretty superficial.
- 36:20Yeah. Yeah.
- 36:21I don't think it's going to happen.
- 36:22Then while they're all like comforting him and trying or
- 36:25comforting her and trying to make sure she's OK, figure out
- 36:29what they need to do, why she's bleed, like because she's going
- 36:31to bleed out. Cole escapes.
- 36:34He runs out and they are all following him.
- 36:37He goes upstairs and John follows and falls down.
- 36:42Bannister knocked over. He falls into an award like one
- 36:45of those pointy little woods, and it goes right through his
- 36:48neck. So Cole climbs out his window
- 36:52for real this time. But Max gets up there, it's
- 36:54starting to pull the sheet rope back up, and Cole falls to the
- 36:58ground, runs into the shed, and he finds a large firework in his
- 37:02mom's power drill. Yep.
- 37:04And so he goes down into the crawl space.
- 37:05He's ready. I actually applaud this plan.
- 37:08It's a good plan. Yeah.
- 37:09He was like, he's in a good spot, You know, he can defend.
- 37:13Except for the fact that Sonya's the one that follows him into
- 37:15the crawl space, and she is not afraid of spiders.
- 37:18Yeah. And she almost leaves.
- 37:21She's about to leave. And he flicks the spider off the
- 37:24blanket that he's hiding under, and it lands in a rat trap, gets
- 37:29squished, which we see all of, and it's gross.
- 37:34And she realizes that he's there.
- 37:35And so she comes back for him. He shoots the firework at her,
- 37:38misses. It's bad.
- 37:41And we think Cole, surely he's done here.
- 37:44But no, he managed to get out, puts the puts the screws back
- 37:51into the crawl space door and then sprays her with a shit ton
- 37:55of bug spray and then the firework finally deploys.
- 37:59Yeah, and apparently that bug spray is flammable because it
- 38:01just explodes and it knocks him back.
- 38:03Yes. And I like Max, like walks up.
- 38:05It's like holy shit the Jew just explodes on you.
- 38:08And Cole pauses, looks over at the crawl space, and says no.
- 38:12Yeah, I like his answer to that. Yeah.
- 38:18So like he respects game, respect game.
- 38:20He starts to chase him. He's like, I will give you a
- 38:23head start. And he goes, come on, man,
- 38:24you're the quarterback. Yeah, he goes.
- 38:27It is what it is, Max. Life's not cold.
- 38:30Life's not fair. So he starts running.
- 38:32He hears B's voice in his head drop like a sack of rocks.
- 38:36Kick him in the Dick. So he does that.
- 38:38He misses Max's Dick. Yeah, he's like you missed.
- 38:41And he goes, well, I'm sorry your Dick is small.
- 38:43He goes, it's not small. It's really big.
- 38:45And it's again, it's like you missed.
- 38:46You didn't kick my Dick. He's like, no I didn't.
- 38:48And he's like yeah that's weird cuz I got a big Dick.
- 38:50He's like no you don't, Which you probably don't do it if you
- 38:54missed your Dick. Just saying Max is starting to
- 38:58choke him, and he's like, no whining.
- 39:00And I don't think Cole is actually whining in this moment.
- 39:02He's, like, struggling to breathe.
- 39:05Yeah. Which is, I mean, you're choking
- 39:07somebody. Yeah.
- 39:08Like, you can't. Don't tell them how to die.
- 39:11Yeah, like let me die on my own terms here.
- 39:13Dude, like, but then they hear the sounds of X and goes, does
- 39:17this guy do this to your house all the time?
- 39:19You got to you got to defend your house, Cole.
- 39:21You got to be a man. Tell him what's up.
- 39:24So he goes over to Jeremy and he starts quoting the movie that
- 39:28him and B were watching earlier. It's a bad ass song.
- 39:30Take this right foot, kick you on your cheek and he delivers it
- 39:35with confidence that he hasn't had before.
- 39:37He's like. There's not a damn thing you're
- 39:38gonna be able to do about it. And then the kick is so bad.
- 39:41Yeah, God, he whips, lifts entirely, falls on his butt.
- 39:45He's just, Yeah. And then Jeremy is about to,
- 39:48like, start hitting him, and he goes, listen, they did murders
- 39:52inside the house. There's dead cops.
- 39:53They're trying to murder me. Please help me.
- 39:56I'll wear a blue headband. I will do whatever you say.
- 39:59Please just help me. And he goes, oh shit, really?
- 40:03There's murders, Murders. OK, here's what we're going to
- 40:06do. I'm going to get on my bike and
- 40:07then you climb on the back of the bike and we'll get away from
- 40:11here. And then he and.
- 40:14To the head and then he does this little dance and he just
- 40:19gets out of there, man, That's that's another.
- 40:23It's just a fun moment right there.
- 40:25I like it. Yeah, because I mean, honestly,
- 40:28if I'm a bully and I have somebody that drops that line on
- 40:31me, I'm not going to have the benefit of the doubt because I'm
- 40:34a bully. I'm not a nice person.
- 40:35So I'm not going to like, OK, well, just in case I need to try
- 40:38and say this kid, no, I'm going to be like, wow, what a weird
- 40:41way to try and get out of my bullying.
- 40:42Yeah, like I, you know, like you're desperate.
- 40:45This is kind of sad. I'm going to egg your head now.
- 40:47Yeah. And I like Max, goes over to him
- 40:49as I talk too much. Yeah.
- 40:51Yeah. Just like next time.
- 40:52I'm like, you just need to punch him.
- 40:53Yeah, so Cole takes that advice and immediately.
- 40:57Punches him. Punches him in right.
- 40:59And he climbs up to what's left of his tree house, and he's,
- 41:01like, trying to knock some of the ladder steps down.
- 41:03But Max is an athlete, and he's able to just climb the tree
- 41:07anyway. Yeah.
- 41:09And so they're up there. And he's like, I can't let you
- 41:14die with egg on your face. I'm gonna give you that, that
- 41:17dignity. And he wipes it off.
- 41:18And his hands are covered in egg yolk.
- 41:20And it's really gross. And I don't know.
- 41:23We've all touched a smashed egg before, like we felt the yolk
- 41:27and everything is a gross feeling.
- 41:29And then when the tree house breaks from underneath him, he
- 41:32tries to grab a branch. He can't.
- 41:34Rope gets wrapped around his neck.
- 41:36And then that's how Max goes. It's.
- 41:38A Suspiria moment right there. Yeah, it really is.
- 41:41Yeah. Yep, so Max is now being shot at
- 41:47by B who has the cop shotgun now.
- 41:50And so Cole runs over to Melanie's.
- 41:52Now Max Cole. Yeah.
- 41:54And we know that B knows about Melanie because she had talked
- 42:00to Nicole about Melanie earlier and says, who's what's the deal
- 42:02with that cute chick across the street?
- 42:04You know, like trying to be encouraging and things that
- 42:07they're young and cute and have crushes on each other.
- 42:10So he runs into Melanie's house and he's like, wait, your door
- 42:14automatically locks, right? No, people's doors don't work
- 42:17like that. Cool.
- 42:18What? What?
- 42:20What do you mean by? That it's not a car, it's a
- 42:22house. Even with the car usually like
- 42:26the automatic lock is after like 60 seconds.
- 42:28Yeah, and that's how it. Is in my car, yeah.
- 42:30Yeah. So they're like hiding and B
- 42:34comes in and she's finding them and they're just like doing
- 42:36this, like really tense, like tiptoe around the house.
- 42:40Yeah, cat and mouse game. Here, Yeah.
- 42:41And this is probably, I'm going to say, like, the highest
- 42:43tension in the movie. Yeah, because, man, it could go
- 42:47so wrong so quickly. Yeah, and they managed to run
- 42:52off into one of the rooms there, I think.
- 42:54It's a bathroom. Yeah.
- 42:55I think it gives bathroom vibes. Yeah, and he's just telling her,
- 42:59hey, you gotta call the cops. Yeah, he's like, you gotta call
- 43:02the cops. I'm really sorry that I pulled
- 43:04you into this. He's like, you are my best
- 43:06friend and I don't want you to get hurt, No.
- 43:08And then she kisses him. No.
- 43:11And he doesn't look happy about it.
- 43:12And she goes what? Because the last person I saw
- 43:15get kissed died right after. That's a good point.
- 43:18I, you know, understand the trauma there, Yeah.
- 43:21Yeah, also what a weird like first kiss story to have.
- 43:24Yeah, yeah. So he's like, OK, he gives her
- 43:27the codes to tell the cops. When she calls 1053, OK, there
- 43:31it is. And she goes, how do you know
- 43:32that? And he goes, well, I used to
- 43:34want to be a cop. And she goes, you never told me
- 43:35that. He goes, yeah, the only person I
- 43:36ever told that was B. So not only did B do this huge
- 43:40betrayal, but she used some of these secrets that he told her
- 43:44against him. And it's just she really is Don
- 43:48Draper. She.
- 43:49Is, yeah. Piece of shit.
- 43:52So he's got a plan. He's going to get it out and
- 43:54Laura B away and he's going to take her down.
- 43:57So he runs out the house, he's screaming down the neighborhood
- 43:59again. We're the neighbors.
- 44:01This kids making the scene. I wish that we had had like kind
- 44:04of an homage shit Halloween there where they turn porch
- 44:07light. On yeah, they just turn it off.
- 44:09Yeah, that would have been. Yeah, like that would have made.
- 44:11Sense. Acknowledge it, acknowledge it.
- 44:13Just say like, hey, this is a neighborhood where people don't
- 44:15help each other. Exactly.
- 44:16Yeah, but he makes it back into the house and he follows.
- 44:20The house is clean, it has gotten cleaned up so quickly
- 44:25which this fascinated me in a way where I really wanted to
- 44:28know their scene shot schedule cuz I was like surely they did
- 44:31all of the murders and stuff after shooting this last scene.
- 44:34Yeah, you would think so. Yeah, cuz they really fucked
- 44:36that place up. Yeah.
- 44:37And so I don't, I don't believe, I think she could have cleaned
- 44:40this up this much. No cuz this like.
- 44:42So much blood. From, like, the beginning of the
- 44:45night, it feels like this movie happens in real time.
- 44:48Yeah. Like it doesn't feel like we're
- 44:50having time jumps for anything. No, Yeah, there's not for sure.
- 44:53Yeah. So he sees Allison in a chair
- 44:57and he, like, keeps testing her breathing and like, pokes her a
- 45:01few times and he's like, OK, cool.
- 45:03So he starts to go into the kitchen and Allison's alive.
- 45:08She starts attacking him and he punches her in the boob.
- 45:10And she's like, why would you do that?
- 45:12Because you're trying to kill me?
- 45:13And she goes, she said that her wish, because this whole thing,
- 45:16the whole thing is that they mix the blood with the sacrifice
- 45:19with the blood of an innocent, drip it on the pages of this
- 45:22book while reading the recitation.
- 45:25And they get their wish. And Allison's wish is to get her
- 45:30dream job. And he goes, what is your dream
- 45:33job? And she goes, I want to be a
- 45:34journalist, and Cole and I have the same.
- 45:38Are you fucking kidding me? Like, yeah, right this time.
- 45:41Because he goes, well, like, not to be weird, but you're super
- 45:44hot and you seem smart, so it just seems like you could have
- 45:48just become a journalist. Yeah, it's like you seem like
- 45:51you're kind of are primed to have a pretty cool life.
- 45:54Yeah, and then she has this more.
- 45:56She's like, you think that you really think that?
- 45:59Like we could just call this whole thing off and of course
- 46:02she doesn't actually mean it. Yeah, she goes back and she
- 46:05starts attacking him. And he goes because this is what
- 46:09you had referenced before when he was working on a toy car his
- 46:12dad saw him using like the knife, which that was stressing
- 46:16out too. Like first of all that knife is
- 46:18very large and very sharp, but also you're ruining it.
- 46:20Yeah, it's not meant for that coal.
- 46:22And his dad had put it in the dishwasher and he goes, why are
- 46:25you putting in the dishwasher? He goes because it's covered in
- 46:27my fear. And then we cut to the parents
- 46:30at the Hyatt where they're having their sex away weekend.
- 46:34Yeah, she's. Just giving them a distracted
- 46:36hand. Job.
- 46:36Yeah. And she goes, was that you who
- 46:39put the knife in the dishwasher? It goes in the knife block.
- 46:43Leslie Bibb, we need to talk because if it's a dirty knife,
- 46:47we should not be putting it back into the knife block.
- 46:49Dirty. Yeah.
- 46:50Yeah. Like.
- 46:52Where has the RC carbon? Do you want that same knife
- 46:55cutting up your chicken or whatever you're gonna have for
- 46:57dinner later? No.
- 46:58No. You do not want.
- 47:00That yeah, that's bad. That's just bad.
- 47:02Bad parenting all. Right like what?
- 47:05What was your plan with Did you even wash it before you put it
- 47:07up? Leslie Bibb, her character
- 47:10doesn't have a name beyond Mom, so I'm.
- 47:11I'm. Addressing her?
- 47:12Yeah, I'm just addressing her as a human.
- 47:14In this moment, yeah. That that's maybe like one thing
- 47:19that could change is like that having been a running thing with
- 47:24them before, everything goes down as I'm getting annoyed with
- 47:26the knife not being in the right spot.
- 47:28That would have been nice. Yeah, that actually, yeah,
- 47:30because. This right here.
- 47:31I'm like, no, he said. It was dirty when you put it in
- 47:32the dishwasher. That's what you put dirty dishes
- 47:34in the dishwasher. Exactly.
- 47:35Yeah, it makes so much sense. Or if you don't want the knife
- 47:39to sit in the dishwasher because that's legit.
- 47:42Yeah, just hand wash it. Yeah, hand wash it real quick.
- 47:44Boom, back into the knife. There we go.
- 47:46Like, literally. Like when you're done with the
- 47:49knife, clean it and put it in the knife lock doesn't go in the
- 47:51dishwasher. That's all you need to say.
- 47:53Like, we could even just turn that.
- 47:54But I like the idea of it being a running gag.
- 47:56The beginning of the movie. Yeah.
- 47:57OK. Anyway.
- 48:00Knife tangent over. Yes, knife tangent over for now.
- 48:04So anyway, B comes in and shoots Allison.
- 48:08Yeah, that. Explodes.
- 48:09Blood and brain all over coal and she's I'm like, well now I
- 48:13gotta skip town again. And she's like, the question is
- 48:16what to do with you? And he goes, you're never really
- 48:19my friend. That was just something that you
- 48:21could use and he's so sad and she's like, well, it doesn't
- 48:25have to be like this. We could tell the cops that they
- 48:29attacked us together and that we ran away, and then I could make
- 48:34you feel confident and strong and get you everything you want.
- 48:37I used to be small and scared all the time like you.
- 48:40Yeah, she like, she's already made several wishes.
- 48:42Why does she need to keep making wishes?
- 48:44Why not just make it right the first time?
- 48:47I feel like part of it, like it's almost like an addiction to
- 48:50be able to get whatever you want, but I also think part of
- 48:53it is maybe like a side effect of dealing with this kind of
- 48:57thing, like wanting more and more power, but also needing to
- 49:01bring more and more people in to keep feeding the book or
- 49:03whatever. Again, that's a head cannon I
- 49:05have. I've only watched this equal one
- 49:07time because. I can't remember if they address
- 49:09it. Yeah, I.
- 49:10Feel like they do, but also like Samara Weaving clearly shot all
- 49:13of her scenes in a day. Yeah, in the sequel they tried
- 49:17to turn. I'm not gonna get too much into
- 49:19it. OK.
- 49:20If if you all haven't seen the sequel yet, I won't get too much
- 49:22into it. Yeah.
- 49:23I mean, it's worth it to see it once.
- 49:25It was OK, it was fine. As one of Jen Ortega's earlier
- 49:28roles, yeah. But yeah, anyway, so he he burns
- 49:34the buck. Yeah, He's like, I'm not gonna
- 49:36let you do this. So the goods, Yeah.
- 49:38Yeah, and that's that's when she's saying that like, you
- 49:40know, you're nice and charming and good looking and then you
- 49:44find out that Don Draper had a wife at home this whole time.
- 49:47You're a piece of shit. And she goes, did you just ruin
- 49:50Mad Men for me? And he goes, it's been on
- 49:52forever. You'll live.
- 49:53No. It's been off TV forever.
- 49:55It's already ended. Like, yeah, you should know if
- 49:57you if you were that interested. Yeah, so he burns the book and
- 50:04she tosses it, and she's trying to put it out.
- 50:06And he runs over to Melanie's house and takes Melanie's dad's
- 50:10car. And she's, like, cheering my
- 50:11mom, like, yeah. And then he goes and crashes it
- 50:15into his house. Yep, just ramps it.
- 50:18Barrel roll is right on to her and.
- 50:19We never address how this house is going to collapse any minute
- 50:23because not only is the front of the house like broken in, he
- 50:27also blew up their crawl space. That's their.
- 50:30Foundation. Foundation support beams all
- 50:34just demolished. Oh God, And once again, I know
- 50:37we keep bringing this up on this podcast and at this point we're
- 50:41beating a dead horse, but why the fuck did we not get a car
- 50:45breaking a house and Christine? Yeah, right.
- 50:48I'm still so mad because that was one of the scenes I was
- 50:51looking forward to most. John Carpenter, he can't let
- 50:54McGee show you up like that. Come on, man.
- 50:57You got to remake it. Remake the movie.
- 50:59Remake it, you can do it. We believe in you, John.
- 51:03And maybe, maybe Travis won't have a secret alliance with Rob
- 51:07Zombie when you guys fist fight. If you release the car cut the
- 51:11car house cut of Christine, then we'll beef squash.
- 51:14And if you guys want to know what I'm referencing when I talk
- 51:17about Rob Zombie being Travis's secret ally, you can go check
- 51:20out the January bonus episode where we did another tournament.
- 51:23Oh, yeah, Yep, Yep, that's. Right, that's there.
- 51:25I forgot to plug it at the beginning of the episode, but
- 51:27now you know what we're talking about.
- 51:28That's also what I was referencing when I seated the
- 51:31floor to the gentleman. And same when I was talking
- 51:33about the trombone knife to the butt.
- 51:36That is the thing that happens in the movie that we discussed.
- 51:38So, yeah, so. That's you.
- 51:41You can go listen to that episode for a single purchase,
- 51:45or you can pay a $1.00 more and be a budget to your Bubby and
- 51:49get all of the bonus episodes and stickers and all kinds of
- 51:52fun stuff. All right, plug over.
- 51:54Plug over. All right, so he's driven a car
- 51:57into the house. Yeah, and into B and she's
- 51:59trapped under there. It's like the beginning of
- 52:01signs. Yep.
- 52:04And this is where they talk about his intergalactic dream
- 52:10team cuz he was like, well you never ask.
- 52:12And she goes, I'm normally so good about that.
- 52:14And he says Admiral Adama Data, who's the third one?
- 52:24Predator. Predator and then.
- 52:27Him. Her.
- 52:28And she goes, you didn't say that we could put ourselves in
- 52:30there. And he goes.
- 52:31It's science fiction, you can do anything you want.
- 52:34Great answer. And she's sad and she goes, I am
- 52:38the big bad. And he goes and I'm an adult.
- 52:40I rent a car into you. Great.
- 52:44Answer still has a lot of going to do though.
- 52:46Yeah, yeah. But this like, and that's one of
- 52:49the the things with this movie is that like, yeah, he's got
- 52:51these like grown up moments, but he's still written so much like
- 52:54a. Kid.
- 52:54Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
- 52:55And I think, like, that's some of the best part of this movie,
- 52:59is that he's just such a realistic kid.
- 53:03Yeah, they did it really well. Yeah, so.
- 53:05The cops arrived. Yep.
- 53:07And now the neighbor neighborhoods gathering around.
- 53:09Yeah, everybody's now seeing the destruction when somebody drives
- 53:12a car into the house. That's all it takes, apparently.
- 53:14Yeah, it doesn't matter. All of the shotgun blast, the
- 53:17cops that arrived the first time, the breaking of the tree
- 53:22house, the explosion, none of that.
- 53:25Yep. None of it.
- 53:26Yep. And we got the bullies over
- 53:29there. The the two hench men of Jeremy
- 53:31are kind of admiring Cole's work.
- 53:33It's like, yeah, Cole killed like 50 people.
- 53:35Yeah. Yeah, that's, I mean, that's how
- 53:39that's going to spread around. And Jeremy, like, doesn't have
- 53:42power over the hench men right now.
- 53:44And Melanie's dad is freaking out and telling the cop he's
- 53:47like, protect and serve, protect the car.
- 53:51He's so mad about it. And then his parent, Cole's
- 53:54parents come home and they're like just so concerned about
- 53:56him. And he goes, I don't need a
- 53:57babysitter anymore. And like I said at the beginning
- 54:00of this show, the fuck you do, Cole?
- 54:04Yeah. And then we cut to mid credits
- 54:10and the cops are inside and B's body is no longer under the car
- 54:14but we do get a rack. Yep, just jumps.
- 54:16Jump scare. Yep, that's how it ends.
- 54:18That's how it ends. All right, I'm keeping -7 I
- 54:21still feel strongly and this is like a perfectly 7 movie.
- 54:25I will bump it up to a 7.5 just cause talking about it gave me a
- 54:28little bit of appreciation for some of those things like that,
- 54:32that realistic kid riding and everything.
- 54:35Yeah, that's fair. OK.
- 54:36So new average 7.25 good. And I think like I said, my
- 54:43suggestion just to tie up a couple of little loose things,
- 54:48you know, have have the knife be more of a running gag at the
- 54:51beginning. That way it pays off more.
- 54:53Yeah, point your seats a little bit better.
- 54:55And if you're going to do the like text insert on screen, it
- 54:58needs to be more consistent throughout.
- 55:00It needs to feel fully stylized. Yeah, man, I, I don't really
- 55:04know for me what I would change like there.
- 55:07And I like a lot of this stuff here.
- 55:11I don't know, let's see the movie.
- 55:12It doesn't really try to be realistic, so if I'm asking for
- 55:17realism here, it's hard, but. I think honestly them talking
- 55:20about science fiction a lot is kind of a wink in the nod from
- 55:23the writer to be like. We're having.
- 55:26Fun. Yeah, we're having fun.
- 55:28Don't think too hard. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 55:31OK. OK, Talia.
- 55:34Talia's seen this plenty of times.
- 55:36She was pretty sleepy. This was kind of a role reversal
- 55:40nightmare for Talia because she feels the responsibility to look
- 55:44after the cats all day. She's the babysitter home.
- 55:46She is the babysitter, but she would never make a deal with the
- 55:49devil. No.
- 55:50She's upset because B is giving a bad name to babysitters.
- 55:54Yeah, Yeah. And also, Talia has the blood of
- 55:57an innocent. She does.
- 55:58And she's a little bit afraid that that's why we've been
- 56:00letting pet vet take her blood. How much?
- 56:04Because she's just like a faucet of all of that stuff.
- 56:08Wow. So I think this really scared
- 56:10her and really upset her and this is a nightmare scenario for
- 56:14her. I think Talia would give this an
- 56:168. Yes, it that's exactly.
- 56:18Because she would want the same full 8 hours of sleep that Cole
- 56:21was supposed to have. Yeah.
- 56:24Who is Zoe's ultimate warrior? Zoe and Cordelia were being
- 56:31obnoxious about wanting to get on our laps the entire time, so
- 56:34they were both very into this movie.
- 56:36I'm going to say the mom because the mom was the only one that
- 56:41was down to tackle the bugs, the nasty bugs, and that's Zoe's
- 56:44job. That is.
- 56:46She takes it very seriously, She.
- 56:47Takes it very seriously and sometimes she won't even kill
- 56:49him, she'll just like capture him and be like.
- 56:52What are you going to do? Guys.
- 56:54Bug here like me. Like I did my part.
- 56:57You do your thing, yeah. Yeah, she's really good.
- 57:00I'm really curious to see how the dynamic of that shift Snow
- 57:02that we have Cordelia here because she seems like she's
- 57:05like. Cordelia attacks the thin air.
- 57:08I don't think I think Zoe is going to let her keep looking
- 57:11stupid like that because then she could keep being on bug
- 57:14control. I I foresee Cordelia being a
- 57:18very ferocious cat with the bugs when they start to show up.
- 57:21I foresee Zoe not allowing them to be a team.
- 57:25Probably not, no. OK, so that brings us to
- 57:29Cordelia. Is this a hoot or is this a
- 57:32holler? I think it's a hoot for her.
- 57:34I thought we said Hoot was bad and Holler was good.
- 57:36No hollers so bad. It's in the hollers.
- 57:38But who? It's a who.
- 57:39OK, so it's a who? OK, yeah, I feel like we're
- 57:42gonna go back and listen to one of our To the Wrong Turn episode
- 57:45and be like oh shit, we got. It backwards.
- 57:48I, I did, I think I fucked it up one time when we did it.
- 57:51Yeah. It's a new thing guys.
- 57:52We're we're working it out. So yeah.
- 57:55We're in the workshop. These stooges OK, I have wait.
- 58:01We got to do tagline. Tagline and we have to do who we
- 58:04related to and dream sequel. And what would Don do?
- 58:07And. What would Don?
- 58:08Do so many things. My God, I'm so sorry.
- 58:11OK, well, first of all, who did you relate to?
- 58:13Who did I relate to? That's a really good question.
- 58:18I think I probably related to Sonia just in terms of the hair
- 58:23or the makeup and the nails, because that's kind of what got
- 58:26her was when she was down in the in the crawl space, her nails
- 58:30got caught on the rat trap and then she got sprayed with bug
- 58:32spray and exploded. And I have firework trauma as
- 58:36well. You do Don't.
- 58:37You. I feel like Sonia's probably a
- 58:38really good one for me to relate to.
- 58:40Great. Yeah, I'm going to pick Cole
- 58:42because being with you, I have had to grow up and face my fears
- 58:49of attacking some bugs that I used to be terrified of.
- 58:52Yep. Going back to Zoe, she'll
- 58:54present some of them, but she does not do the killing blow.
- 58:57But sometimes she doesn't. She just alerts us and I have to
- 58:59go in there and like, finish off the bugs.
- 59:02So I've had to step up and tackle some spiders and some
- 59:06really nasty bugs with like a lot of legs.
- 59:09And it's scary. But you know, you have to grow
- 59:12up and you have to learn how to handle those fears.
- 59:15OK, so I related to that. OK.
- 59:18And I appreciate you taking care of the bugs because I can't.
- 59:23Yeah, somebody's got to do it. Yeah, it's not going to be me.
- 59:25Yeah, so I, I did it. I I'm doing it all right now we
- 59:29can do tagline. Now we can do tagline.
- 59:31OK, so the the original tagline was Dream Girl Nightmare.
- 59:36Dream Dream girls can be a real nightmare.
- 59:38Yeah, it requires many sacrifices.
- 59:43Babysitting. My this is for the overlap in
- 59:50our audience who like horror movies but also like the
- 59:54Babysitters Club because I almost wanted to say Christie's
- 59:58Big Idea, but cross out Christie and write B because that's the
- 1:00:01very first book in the Babysitters Club series.
- 1:00:03It's called Christie's Big Idea. You know, we can do that.
- 1:00:06Oh, OK, yeah. OK, I'll show you the cover of
- 1:00:09it so that way you can make the the tagline look like the title,
- 1:00:13OK? Yeah.
- 1:00:14All right. We'll, we'll do that.
- 1:00:15All right, all right. B is big idea.
- 1:00:18OK, It might be bright idea. It's some, it's Christie
- 1:00:21something idea. We'll get the cover right now,
- 1:00:24and that's what. It was, yeah.
- 1:00:25Look at the cover art right now. And that's the text I did.
- 1:00:28Yeah. OK, what would Don do?
- 1:00:30Don would have driven. I think Don.
- 1:00:32Would have heard exactly this, yeah.
- 1:00:34Like this is exactly what Don would have done.
- 1:00:37He would No notes. Yeah.
- 1:00:38And Don was like, you know what? Yeah, I think the only thing he
- 1:00:41would probably do is like he would have helped Kohl's stand
- 1:00:45up to Jeremy. He wouldn't have just told him
- 1:00:47what to do and he would have gone over there with him.
- 1:00:48Yeah, I think so too. Yeah.
- 1:00:50OK, OK. That was the easiest one.
- 1:00:53Yeah, it's exactly, exactly what happened, Yeah.
- 1:00:57I've seen that in several Fast and Furious movies.
- 1:01:01All right, OK, so now we can do reviews.
- 1:01:03OK, great. This is the one out of 10 on
- 1:01:05IMDb, and once again, I had to scroll through several.
- 1:01:07Look, if you don't like a movie, that's fine.
- 1:01:10I can appreciate people not liking movies.
- 1:01:12Just tell me why instead of just saying it's bad.
- 1:01:14Yeah, just explain why you think it's bad.
- 1:01:16Yeah, that's fine. This one did OK.
- 1:01:21I don't even know where to begin.
- 1:01:22I suppose a list would suffice since this drek isn't worthy of
- 1:01:26an actual review. Total lack of chemistry between
- 1:01:29the leads, 2 dimensional cartoon characters with all the depth of
- 1:01:32porn performers. Sophomoric writing, and no, not
- 1:01:35in a good way. With horrendously banal
- 1:01:37dialogue, awkward cinematography complete with excessive out of
- 1:01:41place lens flares, and every first time film maker trick in
- 1:01:44the book as Camp goes pretty awful with an obvious music
- 1:01:48video type sound treatment more suitable for a Mountain Dew
- 1:01:51commercial. I truly do not understand what
- 1:01:54the goal was with this movie. I've seen intelligently made
- 1:01:56Camp before that was actually entertaining and compelling.
- 1:01:59This plays out like it was written by a 12 year old on an
- 1:02:01ether binge. Wow, that is a little bit harsh.
- 1:02:06I disagree about the lack of chemistry.
- 1:02:08I do too. They had such great chemistry.
- 1:02:10Like that was a believable relationship.
- 1:02:12I also disagree about the banal dialogue, I do too.
- 1:02:15I I think that there's a lot of fun and witty dialogue, but also
- 1:02:19just enough that like grounds it and he feels like an actual 12
- 1:02:22year old instead of a movie 12 year old.
- 1:02:24Yeah, I agree. I don't think the writing is to
- 1:02:26fall here and I can understand if the way that this is shy and
- 1:02:30presented is not your style. It has taken you a few watches
- 1:02:34to. You're pretty harsh on it.
- 1:02:37The first time we watched it was.
- 1:02:38I real, yeah. I don't remember not liking it.
- 1:02:40I remember always being like, it's pretty good.
- 1:02:42I remember you being like, it felt too much like a music
- 1:02:44video. And then we looked it up and we
- 1:02:45saw Mick G used to do music videos, but we've watched it
- 1:02:48several times since then. I think it's just going on.
- 1:02:50You OK? Interesting.
- 1:02:51So maybe that's what this person needs to do.
- 1:02:52Maybe, you know, yeah, like I I can understand where they're
- 1:02:56coming from for sure. Like it's a very distinct to it
- 1:02:58and it may not be your thing. Yeah.
- 1:03:02That's OK, cuz movies aren't for everyone, but I think this is a
- 1:03:05fun movie and it's a movie for me.
- 1:03:07Yeah, as we discussed, we don't have audio, we don't have
- 1:03:10listeners. Yeah, Sorry about that.
- 1:03:12Sorry. Yeah, We'll have it for next
- 1:03:13week's maybe, which we do know. And we can go ahead and tell you
- 1:03:15now. Go ahead.
- 1:03:17It'll be my pick. And we're not doing a
- 1:03:20traditional Valentine's Day movie this month, which is a
- 1:03:23first for us. We could, but, you know, we're
- 1:03:27not. And instead I'm choosing a
- 1:03:30different movie. I'm choosing Wolf Creek.
- 1:03:33Yeah. So yeah, that's the.
- 1:03:37It is streaming anywhere as of February.
- 1:03:39OK, let's see. Wow, a lot of free places.
- 1:03:43You can watch it for free on Tubi, Pluto TV, Fandango at
- 1:03:47home, or Plex. Or if you want to rent it, you
- 1:03:49can rent it from YouTube, Google TV, Apple TV, or Prime.
- 1:03:52Awesome. So everybody can watch it easily
- 1:03:54for free. Great.
- 1:03:55I like that it's a good movie. If you've not seen it, it's.
- 1:03:58It's worth watching at least once.
- 1:04:00It's got some pretty iconic moments it is based on, like
- 1:04:04backpackers disappearing in the Australian Outback.
- 1:04:07Yeah, like it's got some like history to it and it's got great
- 1:04:10performance from John Jarrett. Not Jeff Jarrett.
- 1:04:14No. John Jarrett, Yes.
- 1:04:16I should wear my muscle tank that I got from Jeff Jarrett.
- 1:04:19Yeah. Recorded though, you should,
- 1:04:22yeah. It will be loose on me because I
- 1:04:25have no muscles. Yeah, you know, it's OK.
- 1:04:28You wear it proudly. Yes, you earned.
- 1:04:31It I earned it, I got hit with it in the.
- 1:04:34Office. You did?
- 1:04:34Yeah, but it's AI. Love the movie.
- 1:04:38It's a good one. It's a it's a early 2000s banger
- 1:04:42for sure. So check it out, be ready for
- 1:04:46it. I'm excited to talk about it.
- 1:04:47We would also like to shout out our bubbies.
- 1:04:50We have Joe Freaka, Trump, as is his name, Amber, Michael, Lord,
- 1:04:55Zombie, Tyler, Chad, Johnny and Jason.
- 1:04:58Yeah, Carmel. Did you get word zombie?
- 1:05:01Yes. OK, good.
- 1:05:03Yes, I yeah. I'm sorry, I just, I gotta try,
- 1:05:08yeah. It's a good problem to have.
- 1:05:09It is. It's a good problem.
- 1:05:10Thank you guys. We appreciate you guys.
- 1:05:12The support means a whole lot to us.
- 1:05:14It has helped us with equipment that has been dying on us.
- 1:05:16Yes. To be able to replace it, it's
- 1:05:18made a big difference. It helps us with the stickers
- 1:05:22and the confetti and all of that.
- 1:05:25Stuff. I just want to say I am trying
- 1:05:27to get you your stickers, but with our current icy snowy
- 1:05:32situation, we saw the melt for the very first time yesterday.
- 1:05:36And I think that that was like a I'm going to do this today
- 1:05:38because we got so much shit backed up.
- 1:05:40I'm not coming back until this shit melts.
- 1:05:42That's what I got from the guy. The guy seemed over it.
- 1:05:44Yeah. And I felt really bad because I
- 1:05:46was just like, it was one of those.
- 1:05:48I didn't realize that he was there, like, and within hearing
- 1:05:52distance. But I said, Oh my God, I hope to
- 1:05:54God my tags are there because I ordered them two weeks ago.
- 1:05:57And yesterday was the last day of day.
- 1:05:59Mary, it's still too cold for me to put the sticker on.
- 1:06:02Yeah, but at least I have it now.
- 1:06:04And I just, I hope he didn't think that I was, like, mad at
- 1:06:07him for not being down here because we couldn't get out of
- 1:06:09our cul-de-sac. No, for a whole week.
- 1:06:11Yeah, but we're barely getting up there now.
- 1:06:13I was. I was literally sideways in my
- 1:06:15car driving up to our house. And we have defensive driving
- 1:06:19lessons. Yeah, it was.
- 1:06:20It's sketchy right now. Yeah, it was scary.
- 1:06:24And I wasn't mad at him for not delivering the mail.
- 1:06:26I get it. I had the same conversation with
- 1:06:28my pharmacy and they're like, we'll try and get you your
- 1:06:29medicine as soon as we can. And I was like, I know.
- 1:06:31So I'm refilling it early because I don't know how long
- 1:06:34it'll take for it to get here. So depending on how the weather
- 1:06:37goes, it should start melting in the next few days.
- 1:06:39But ICE is kind of keeping the the stickers here with us for
- 1:06:45right now, yes, but we'll get them to you, I promise.
- 1:06:47They'll get to you. Yeah.
