- 0:02Speaker 1: With a dou a little baby. We back again ground
- 0:05Speaker 1: the show. Your Eyes do not deceive you. I am
- 0:08Speaker 1: recording on a Motorola razor. My camera is down right now.
- 0:12Speaker 1: I don't know what the hell is going on, but
- 0:14Speaker 1: we're gonna thug it out. I'm here with the homiet
- 0:18Speaker 1: whence Jamal Joe FERNIESI and it's your boy Lesteroni on
- 0:23Speaker 1: the rocks.
- 0:23Speaker 2: It's what a do.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Ain't nothing stopping us, No technology is gonna stop this
- 0:28Speaker 3: from happening.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Facts, bro, man, it's been It's been an eventful week,
- 0:35Speaker 1: an eventful couple of weeks, you know, considering the election
- 0:39Speaker 1: and everything as well. I'm just bro. I feel like
- 0:45Speaker 1: we've been in a blender dog.
- 0:46Speaker 3: I feel like it's been tough. Yeah, it has been tough.
- 0:51Speaker 3: So let me see. The election was last Tuesday. It's
- 0:55Speaker 3: been a week. Yeah, and it hasn't got any different.
- 0:58Speaker 3: I feel the feedback from the election is still present today.
- 1:04Speaker 3: I don't think anything has changed. I think everybody still
- 1:07Speaker 3: feels strongly about getting their voice out. Like we said
- 1:11Speaker 3: we had the conversation, it's just a new norm.
- 1:15Speaker 4: It's still lingering.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure, it's definitely we're in a transition period.
- 1:20Speaker 1: For sure. Things have been changing over the last twenty
- 1:24Speaker 1: years just in general, even kind of going back to
- 1:27Speaker 1: what we were talking about as far as racism and
- 1:29Speaker 1: how it's progressed and the openness of it. You know,
- 1:34Speaker 1: things have changed so drastically in the last twenty years
- 1:38Speaker 1: that it's like, I think it's everything's kind of starting
- 1:41Speaker 1: to catch up and realize like, Okay, this is the
- 1:43Speaker 1: new norm. We need to set some boundaries here and
- 1:45Speaker 1: start making some changes and stuff. It's just it's wild, man.
- 1:51Speaker 1: We're getting to a place where you can't trust information
- 1:56Speaker 1: no matter where it's coming from. That part is like,
- 2:01Speaker 1: to me, that's the scariest part, because now we don't
- 2:04Speaker 1: have any true, tried and true this is the truth sources,
- 2:09Speaker 1: or at least we don't feel that way like we
- 2:11Speaker 1: were able to in the past. And it's almost like
- 2:14Speaker 1: now like you got to go through something yourself to
- 2:18Speaker 1: like verify it, because you could even you could even
- 2:22Speaker 1: find people online talking about something and you'll find a
- 2:25Speaker 1: whole like troll side of it where they're trying to
- 2:29Speaker 1: tell you the wrong thing or trying to tell you
- 2:31Speaker 1: something incorrect just to kind of like troll you know
- 2:34Speaker 1: what I mean, Like whenever you're looking for an answer
- 2:35Speaker 1: for a question or something online. I don't know if
- 2:37Speaker 1: y'all have come across that, but like there's like a
- 2:39Speaker 1: section of it where it'll just be like intentionally telling
- 2:44Speaker 1: you the wrong thing for what you're searching, Like telling
- 2:46Speaker 1: you the thing that could be the worst possible outcome,
- 2:49Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Like to basically get you
- 2:51Speaker 1: to mess up, like if you're asking for tips for
- 2:53Speaker 1: a lawnmower or something and be like, yeah, you know,
- 2:55Speaker 1: definitely don't you know, don't put oil in it for sure,
- 2:58Speaker 1: you know, just tell you like the wrong thing because
- 3:01Speaker 1: they just want you to mess it up, you know
- 3:02Speaker 1: what I mean. And it's like, bro, we're getting into
- 3:05Speaker 1: it like a weird place with that dog, I will say.
- 3:09Speaker 5: I mean, you definitely miss it almost makes you kind
- 3:12Speaker 5: of missed the ignorance's bliss kind of life, you know
- 3:14Speaker 5: what I mean. As far as like, like you said,
- 3:16Speaker 5: you kind of mentioned a lot of times that too
- 3:18Speaker 5: much information, have much information, it kind of makes you
- 3:23Speaker 5: miss when you had like three outlets and you just
- 3:25Speaker 5: take it or leave it, you know.
- 3:27Speaker 1: And that's how I feel about the election. I had
- 3:29Speaker 1: even commented that on one of the posts that we put,
- 3:32Speaker 1: like I just wish I was ignorant all this stuff,
- 3:35Speaker 1: you know, was they said one of the top Google
- 3:38Speaker 1: searches after I mean the day before the election or
- 3:41Speaker 1: the day of the election, one of the two one
- 3:43Speaker 1: of the top Google searches was did Joe Biden drop out?
- 3:46Speaker 4: Yeah? And like Donald Trump racist?
- 3:49Speaker 1: Yeah? Like And they weren't even saying, like, you know,
- 3:53Speaker 1: they were debating on if if the length of the
- 3:56Speaker 1: campaign hurt Kamala Harris, like what the red for the loss?
- 4:01Speaker 1: But it's like, aside from that, it's like, bro, the
- 4:05Speaker 1: fact that people are saying, did Joe Biden drop out
- 4:09Speaker 1: of the race? Where how much information we have at
- 4:11Speaker 1: this point for you not to even if it's only
- 4:14Speaker 1: been three months, Bro, the type of access that everybody
- 4:18Speaker 1: has and not know that, Bro, Like, for that to
- 4:21Speaker 1: even be a search is crazy, dog, That's crazy.
- 4:25Speaker 3: That's just And that shows the impact of trending topics.
- 4:29Speaker 3: And I mean, if y'all want to go into the
- 4:32Speaker 3: Elon Musk and how you control Twitter social media.
- 4:36Speaker 4: For the political race, I mean, we can, but we
- 4:39Speaker 4: don't have to. But it's like.
- 4:42Speaker 3: The social media is a direct source for people now
- 4:47Speaker 3: to learn their news. It's not digging through reliable sources,
- 4:52Speaker 3: like no, let me see what Instagram talking about.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Let me see what Twitter talking about.
- 4:55Speaker 5: You know, yeah, I think I can't remember who it was.
- 4:58Speaker 5: I want to say it was, but it might have
- 5:01Speaker 5: been somebody else. But you know what I'm about to
- 5:04Speaker 5: tell you. How he basically said that now people care
- 5:07Speaker 5: more about being first, not being right. You know, you
- 5:11Speaker 5: get the first word of something and you put the
- 5:12Speaker 5: information out. You don't verify, you don't check it. You
- 5:16Speaker 5: just want to be the first one to put it out.
- 5:17Speaker 5: And I feel like that's a lot of what we
- 5:19Speaker 5: get now, So it's kind of hard to you know,
- 5:23Speaker 5: ciphe through through that sometimes microwave media.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Bro, it's so funny to me. This is kind of
- 5:31Speaker 1: like a sidebar, but it's just in the same vein, Like,
- 5:34Speaker 1: it's so funny to me. How as time progresses, everything
- 5:40Speaker 1: is so much like pro wrestling dog like, the more
- 5:44Speaker 1: the more you the more you peel back the layers
- 5:46Speaker 1: and stuff. And there's a crazy correlation there with Donald
- 5:49Speaker 1: Trump specifically, because there's a lot of things that point
- 5:54Speaker 1: to Donald Trump basically taking the wrestler mentality wrestler style
- 6:01Speaker 1: and molding it into the political sphere to be able
- 6:04Speaker 1: to use it in a way where it got him
- 6:06Speaker 1: where it is, you know what I mean, Like basically
- 6:09Speaker 1: he used it as a way to maximize his style
- 6:11Speaker 1: of charisma. He kind of he kind of borrowed that
- 6:15Speaker 1: wrestling model of how you create friction with an audio.
- 6:20Speaker 4: Over.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Yeah, and he and he kind of mastered that and
- 6:24Speaker 1: brought that forward. And even like what we were just
- 6:27Speaker 1: talking about now, like people just want to be first.
- 6:29Speaker 1: That's a thing from wrestling, Like just from the point
- 6:31Speaker 1: of view of like people would try to leak information
- 6:34Speaker 1: from a wrestling company to kind of like ruin like
- 6:37Speaker 1: what what the what a match was going to be
- 6:39Speaker 1: or whatever. Ye say, hey, I heard that that this
- 6:43Speaker 1: guy's going to win because you know, Shawn Michaels is
- 6:45Speaker 1: going on vacation, so they're going to give the belt
- 6:47Speaker 1: to Undertaker because of this or that or whatever. And
- 6:51Speaker 1: then it doesn't happen, and then the person that leaked
- 6:54Speaker 1: the information, their cover is something along the lines of
- 6:57Speaker 1: like his wrestling plans change, you know what I mean, Yeah, exactly,
- 7:00Speaker 1: And it's like, but you know that kind of defeats
- 7:03Speaker 1: the whole purpose of if you're giving some information and
- 7:07Speaker 1: it's supposed to be a fact and it's not a fact,
- 7:10Speaker 1: you're giving wrong information. The whole point is the things
- 7:15Speaker 1: can't change you feel me. And that's kind of something
- 7:17Speaker 1: that's happening with the political landscape too, where it's like
- 7:23Speaker 1: you see and hear something and then they tell you
- 7:26Speaker 1: something different after, like no, no, you're not supposed to
- 7:28Speaker 1: take this information, and this is the real facts here,
- 7:32Speaker 1: and then you're reading the real facts, and then the
- 7:33Speaker 1: real facts have a disclaimer that says, actually, you got
- 7:37Speaker 1: to read these articles to get the full context. And
- 7:40Speaker 1: then by the time you're reading everything, it's just you
- 7:42Speaker 1: basically coming up with your own decision because all of
- 7:45Speaker 1: this stuff falls in a gray area, you know what
- 7:47Speaker 1: I mean, There is no fact. It's all fiction, you
- 7:50Speaker 1: know what I mean?
- 7:51Speaker 4: You know what's crazy?
- 7:52Speaker 3: And I kind of hated it at first, but now
- 7:55Speaker 3: I appreciate a little bit. When you're on Facebook or
- 7:59Speaker 3: Instagram and the AI, as soon as you click the
- 8:02Speaker 3: comment section, the AI has a summary of the comment
- 8:05Speaker 3: section for you, and it says, like the population is
- 8:10Speaker 3: stating like this is fake, that nobody's agreeing to this.
- 8:13Speaker 3: There's no certified, reliable sources that proven this stuff is factual.
- 8:19Speaker 3: This is all like just speculation from a group of
- 8:21Speaker 3: people who are just spreading these comments. I'm like, wow,
- 8:24Speaker 3: that's crazy. I didn't even have to look in the
- 8:25Speaker 3: common section, but and that's the very first thing that
- 8:28Speaker 3: comes up, and it tells you, like, pretty much, this
- 8:31Speaker 3: is bullshit.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Don't worry about it. This is bullshit. Don't worry for
- 8:35Speaker 4: any purposes. Bet I'm not even gonna entertain this article
- 8:39Speaker 4: from this point.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Yeah, And it even bleeds into like personal and creative
- 8:45Speaker 1: projects and other stuff that I do because and I
- 8:48Speaker 1: don't know, Quincy feels this, it's like you kind of
- 8:51Speaker 1: fall into that as like an artist or just anybody
- 8:55Speaker 1: trying to get anything creative off. You gotta create content,
- 8:59Speaker 1: You got to provide information and constant basically just constant
- 9:05Speaker 1: entertainment all the time, you know what I mean. Because
- 9:08Speaker 1: of the landscape that we're in, you know, the same
- 9:10Speaker 1: way the stuff is happening with politics, That's how it
- 9:12Speaker 1: happens with everything else. You know what I'm saying, Like
- 9:14Speaker 1: things are coming across certain waves because it's what works
- 9:18Speaker 1: in this setting, in this environment, and if you're the
- 9:22Speaker 1: type of person that this is not your wave. It's
- 9:24Speaker 1: super tough to navigate, you know what I'm saying, because
- 9:26Speaker 1: that's how I am. It's like, we're not the type
- 9:29Speaker 1: of people that be online like yo, you know, tell
- 9:32Speaker 1: me what it is chat, you know what I'm saying.
- 9:34Speaker 1: You know, we don't say stuff like that. We ain't
- 9:36Speaker 1: come up like that. So for us to be on
- 9:38Speaker 1: that wave is different and it's difficult. Sometimes. I heard
- 9:42Speaker 1: Asap Ferg, which now he's trying to go by Ferg,
- 9:46Speaker 1: just Ferg, just so people can identify him as him,
- 9:49Speaker 1: not so much that he's not on the ASAP wave.
- 9:52Speaker 1: It's just he was like that was like more like
- 9:55Speaker 1: a group think, and I'm trying to be on my
- 9:56Speaker 1: own wave, you know. But he was saying, just as
- 9:59Speaker 1: an older art artists, how you know, this vulnerability and
- 10:04Speaker 1: this talking into the camera and this giving yourself to
- 10:07Speaker 1: the audience, that's a new thing and you got to
- 10:09Speaker 1: embrace it if you're trying to be you know, current
- 10:12Speaker 1: and sit in certain spaces. And it's funny because I've
- 10:17Speaker 1: been working with artists lately, just getting into like more
- 10:21Speaker 1: of my production side and you know, just working on
- 10:24Speaker 1: helping other people put their songs together, not on like
- 10:28Speaker 1: the songwriting tip or anything like that, but just like
- 10:32Speaker 1: producing the instrumental and kind of executive producing kind of vibe,
- 10:35Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. That's like the kind of
- 10:37Speaker 1: thing I've been trying to be on and talking to
- 10:41Speaker 1: the artists. It was kind of like the same conversation,
- 10:43Speaker 1: like trying to figure out where you could fit into
- 10:47Speaker 1: the space. Like because you have to play the game
- 10:49Speaker 1: to a certain degree, you know what I mean, And
- 10:53Speaker 1: you can talk to authenticity thing all you want on
- 10:56Speaker 1: one side, you can also argue the other side of
- 10:59Speaker 1: like you got to stay with the and this is
- 11:00Speaker 1: the people that's winning either way. You slice it like
- 11:04Speaker 1: it's just a weird thing, and it's it's just not
- 11:10Speaker 1: like things are changing so fast that it's hard to
- 11:14Speaker 1: keep up, you know what I'm saying. Back, You know
- 11:17Speaker 1: the way that things have progressed in the last twenty
- 11:20Speaker 1: fifty one hundred years, they're progressing in ways that things
- 11:23Speaker 1: have never progressed that fast before in the history of time. Bro, Like,
- 11:27Speaker 1: you cannot point to any period on the recorded history
- 11:32Speaker 1: that they were making strides the way we're making strides
- 11:35Speaker 1: right now, Bro, you know what I'm saying. So it's
- 11:38Speaker 1: like it's just a lot of it's just a lot
- 11:40Speaker 1: to deal with as people.
- 11:41Speaker 4: Bro.
- 11:45Speaker 1: I agree, But yeah, man, that's basically kind of like
- 11:51Speaker 1: the sum up to me of like just the whole
- 11:53Speaker 1: political thing and the information and disinformation and all the
- 11:56Speaker 1: stories that are coming out and all this and that
- 11:58Speaker 1: it's like, Bro, to a certain point, you look at
- 12:02Speaker 1: how many people didn't vote compared to their last of
- 12:04Speaker 1: elections this time. You know, I think people just get
- 12:07Speaker 1: to the point where they're just like, bro, like they're
- 12:10Speaker 1: just giving up, you know what I'm saying, Like not
- 12:12Speaker 1: even giving up, like in life, but it's just like
- 12:15Speaker 1: you get to a point where you're dealing with so
- 12:16Speaker 1: many things coming at your angles that it's like, bro,
- 12:20Speaker 1: what like you don't even know which threat to pull
- 12:23Speaker 1: last to some point, you know what I mean? Yeah,
- 12:26Speaker 1: And it's just it's like I said, Bru, it's a
- 12:28Speaker 1: lot having a lot changing, a lot of things that
- 12:31Speaker 1: are going on, like and it's just Bro, I don't know, Bro, do.
- 12:36Speaker 5: You think it'll ever Do you think it'll ever revert
- 12:39Speaker 5: or will always continue to go in the direction of
- 12:43Speaker 5: this need or not? I wouldn't even call her need.
- 12:46Speaker 5: But it's access to so much information.
- 12:49Speaker 4: Do you think it'll ever kind of revert?
- 12:52Speaker 1: So Like to me, it's like a two part answer,
- 12:55Speaker 1: because the quick answer is people will adapt to whatever
- 12:59Speaker 1: this situation is regardless, So it might take some years,
- 13:02Speaker 1: but if the access is taken away, people will learn
- 13:06Speaker 1: how to deal with it, and then the new people
- 13:08Speaker 1: born will never have had that access, so they don't
- 13:10Speaker 1: even have to withdraw from it, you know what I mean.
- 13:13Speaker 1: So people will always adapt. But on the other side
- 13:16Speaker 1: of it, I always reference this short story that I
- 13:20Speaker 1: read in elementary school, and I know y'all heard it
- 13:22Speaker 1: because I mentioned it on the podcast. But there's basically
- 13:24Speaker 1: a guy that went into the future. When he went
- 13:27Speaker 1: to the future, everything looked kind of simple to him,
- 13:31Speaker 1: and it was weird, and he felt like he might
- 13:33Speaker 1: have went to the past by accident. And then he
- 13:35Speaker 1: finally found someone who was actually mowing their lawn with
- 13:39Speaker 1: like a manual lawnmower, like back in the day, and
- 13:41Speaker 1: he's like, hey, what year is it? This is that
- 13:43Speaker 1: he started asking him, and the guy, you know, basically,
- 13:45Speaker 1: he told him that he came from the past or whatever,
- 13:48Speaker 1: and the guy told him like, Yo, we you know,
- 13:51Speaker 1: something happened and we had to kind of revert back
- 13:54Speaker 1: to the old way of stuff, like we were doing
- 13:56Speaker 1: too much and we had to slow it down. So
- 13:59Speaker 1: like now people are riding bikes more, you know, we
- 14:02Speaker 1: don't use so much energy, this, this, and that.
- 14:04Speaker 4: Whatever.
- 14:05Speaker 1: The tone of the story, it was like a little
- 14:06Speaker 1: kid story. So the tone was more like just hopeful
- 14:09Speaker 1: about like you know, pollution things like that. You know,
- 14:12Speaker 1: it was when I was a kid, Bro, So this
- 14:15Speaker 1: had to be like, you know, twenty twenty five years ago,
- 14:18Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So it was like an
- 14:20Speaker 1: older story. But the point in saying that is I
- 14:24Speaker 1: definitely could see something because that story always stuck with me, Bro,
- 14:28Speaker 1: And I definitely could see something where we just get
- 14:30Speaker 1: to this point where things get so crazy, dog that
- 14:32Speaker 1: they have to like revert back, you know what I mean.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Like like I could see, honestly, Bro, like in my
- 14:38Speaker 1: lifetime a situation where like a certain amount of devices
- 14:43Speaker 1: will just get bricked, Like, hey, these things are just
- 14:46Speaker 1: not gonna work anymore. Sorry, we just have to do this,
- 14:50Speaker 1: you know what I mean, And there's just gonna be
- 14:52Speaker 1: like a like a shut off of a certain thing
- 14:55Speaker 1: that we've been doing and people are just gonna have
- 14:57Speaker 1: to adapt to it. Like I could see.
- 15:00Speaker 3: Something like that happening bro a lot of histories repeating itself,
- 15:03Speaker 3: and you know, like we go back to those stories,
- 15:05Speaker 3: how we where all the kids spend their time outside
- 15:08Speaker 3: on bikes and you know where people was because you
- 15:11Speaker 3: saw that all the bikes parked outside of somewhere and
- 15:14Speaker 3: like it's crazy because now and you know, I fought,
- 15:18Speaker 3: like certain Facebook neighborhood pages, especially the neighborhood around to
- 15:21Speaker 3: live on Avalon and like they see like forty scooters
- 15:25Speaker 3: parked a Islam McDonald's and they get so tight because
- 15:28Speaker 3: they're blocking the front door, and it's like, but that's
- 15:30Speaker 3: how it was back then. That's how you know when
- 15:32Speaker 3: people were posting up somewhere, it was bikes back then.
- 15:35Speaker 3: Now it's electric scooters with some things like things are
- 15:38Speaker 3: trending from the past. It's coming back again and just
- 15:41Speaker 3: a touch back on a core memory and then like
- 15:43Speaker 3: that Lesser brought up that core memory of his and
- 15:47Speaker 3: how different things are.
- 15:48Speaker 4: I remember when I was in second grade, my dude,
- 15:52Speaker 4: and it's gonna time me a little bit. But that's fine.
- 15:55Speaker 3: I was in second grade and it was like ninety
- 15:57Speaker 3: two and our teacher, our second great teacher, was asking
- 16:02Speaker 3: us if we were gonna vote for Bush, George Bush
- 16:06Speaker 3: or our Gore. They're ogs, the O g George Bush
- 16:10Speaker 3: and our Gore. No hold on, let me let me
- 16:12Speaker 3: make sure I'm saying right.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Yeah. If it was ninety two, it was Bush.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Yeah, no, no, no, it was Clinton and Bush.
- 16:20Speaker 4: Clinton he was a vice as vice president, and we all.
- 16:24Speaker 3: Voted in the classroom as second graders, and healiate that bro.
- 16:27Speaker 4: I remember this is a core memory my head.
- 16:29Speaker 1: I remember that to everybody.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Tallyed that ship up in second grade. Our teacher asked
- 16:35Speaker 3: us if we talented up because it was so innocent.
- 16:37Speaker 3: There's no way that shit happens today. There's no way
- 16:41Speaker 3: a teacher right now in the second grade classroom would say,
- 16:44Speaker 3: who's voting for Kamalo, who's voting for Trump?
- 16:47Speaker 4: Yeh could happen to day. It'll divide your classroom, and
- 16:52Speaker 4: it was the teacher would lose his job within the week.
- 16:54Speaker 5: And that's crazy, It's actually pretty crazy.
- 16:57Speaker 4: And that's so it's a corumber. I still remember to
- 16:59Speaker 4: this day, man, and it's like I don't see that
- 17:03Speaker 4: ever happening again.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Yeah. Something that is interesting that I've heard across different platforms.
- 17:09Speaker 6: Lately is the idea that as.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Organized religion starts to dwindle down, people are kind of
- 17:16Speaker 1: transferring that energy into politics, and politics is kind of
- 17:19Speaker 1: becoming the new religion.
- 17:22Speaker 4: Yep.
- 17:23Speaker 1: And when you think about it, it really it really
- 17:25Speaker 1: makes sense because it's not just a wishful thinking when
- 17:29Speaker 1: you think about in the past, how not politicized things were,
- 17:36Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Like you didn't see people
- 17:38Speaker 1: with you know, a whole bunch of merch all the time,
- 17:41Speaker 1: you know, supporting their candidates even out of season. You
- 17:45Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, Like, you didn't see the craziness
- 17:48Speaker 1: that's going on now.
- 17:51Speaker 3: It wasn't It just wasn't a detriment of your character
- 17:54Speaker 3: as a human being on who you voted for, you
- 17:57Speaker 3: know what I mean. Yeah, that's what I feel like
- 18:00Speaker 3: people are disowning family members now for who you.
- 18:03Speaker 1: There was more nobility in the candidates back in those
- 18:06Speaker 1: days too, you know what I mean, Like it was
- 18:08Speaker 1: a situation where where they were carrying themselves outwardly in
- 18:11Speaker 1: a way where everyone would feel like, oh man, this
- 18:15Speaker 1: is a stand up dude, you know what I mean. Yeah,
- 18:17Speaker 1: And this is not the that's not the world were
- 18:20Speaker 1: in anymore with politics. M that that vibe is gone.
- 18:25Speaker 5: That's kind of the point that I was saying about
- 18:28Speaker 5: that conversation we was having a few weeks back where
- 18:30Speaker 5: I was like, you know, the shock factor when Kanye
- 18:33Speaker 5: West said George Bush doesn't like black people. Compared to now,
- 18:38Speaker 5: there is no shock factor, Like it's an everyday conversation.
- 18:41Speaker 5: It's just a different dynamic with the people in these positions,
- 18:45Speaker 5: you know.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I could imagine that, like, you know, if somebody was,
- 18:54Speaker 1: you know, a colored person in the sixties and they're
- 18:58Speaker 1: they're walking by somewhere and they're not allowed to go
- 19:00Speaker 1: in and somebody else is like, dang, they're not letting
- 19:03Speaker 1: you in there. I can't believe that. They'll be like
- 19:05Speaker 1: why can't you believe it? You know, their signs everywhere.
- 19:08Speaker 1: It's like, we're like that now. But it's just more
- 19:11Speaker 1: like in a mental way, you know what I mean,
- 19:13Speaker 1: Like it's not like a physical thing there that's saying
- 19:16Speaker 1: you know this, you know these people are not allowed
- 19:20Speaker 1: to go in here, you know what I mean? Or whatever.
- 19:22Speaker 1: It's not like in the laws. It's just now it's
- 19:25Speaker 1: just like in your face.
- 19:29Speaker 3: Yeah, and and that that I don't want to insult
- 19:34Speaker 3: these keyboard warriors and TikTok. That is the whole purpose
- 19:38Speaker 3: of these discussions.
- 19:39Speaker 4: You know what I mean.
- 19:40Speaker 3: We are We're called the Grounded Show. We're grounded individuals,
- 19:45Speaker 3: and we're trying to relate this to our simple ass
- 19:47Speaker 3: lives that we don't live like all these over exerting
- 19:52Speaker 3: I'm not going to use curse words people who are
- 19:54Speaker 3: just so you know, deep rooted into their beliefs, Like, yo,
- 19:58Speaker 3: you got to have these conversations. What people are outside
- 20:00Speaker 3: of what your belief is. This is a purpose of it.
- 20:03Speaker 3: This is what these conversations are about. This is what
- 20:06Speaker 3: we talk about it. If not, then go talk to
- 20:08Speaker 3: a fucking wall. It's better than talking to me about it.
- 20:11Speaker 3: I'll tell you right now.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Yeah. And it's something we've even discussed in the past,
- 20:14Speaker 1: like just the concept of philosophizing, you know what I mean,
- 20:18Speaker 1: I believe that's how you say it. I'm not sure
- 20:20Speaker 1: I might get fact checked on that, but it's just
- 20:22Speaker 1: the idea of people coming together and sharing ideas to
- 20:26Speaker 1: expand your mind and you carry those ideas in your
- 20:30Speaker 1: day and it helps you to be informed and make
- 20:33Speaker 1: better decisions, you know what I mean. Like it, brouh.
- 20:37Speaker 1: It's even like as simple as this for me when
- 20:39Speaker 1: it comes down to the politics thing, you know what
- 20:41Speaker 1: I'm saying, And not even on some like racism shit,
- 20:47Speaker 1: but just from the statistic factual standpoint, I look at
- 20:52Speaker 1: it like this, Bro, there's X amount of Puerto Rican people.
- 20:56Speaker 1: I'm Puerto Rican, right, So there's X amount of Puerto
- 20:58Speaker 1: Rican people in the United States. There's X amount of
- 21:01Speaker 1: white people in the United States. That X for the
- 21:04Speaker 1: white people is way larger than the X for the
- 21:07Speaker 1: Puerto Rican one. So I just accept the fact that
- 21:12Speaker 1: a majority of people that are not like me are
- 21:15Speaker 1: gonna be making the rules because that's the majority here,
- 21:19Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, Like you fight for that
- 21:21Speaker 1: equality and that always I'm never gonna be disrespected and
- 21:26Speaker 1: I'm never gonna be like treated like a sub person,
- 21:29Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. And that's that's the right
- 21:32Speaker 1: that I have that I do feel as an American.
- 21:35Speaker 1: I am proud of that because if somebody you know,
- 21:38Speaker 1: I'm a business owner, bro, if somebody comes to me
- 21:42Speaker 1: and talks to me any kind of way. I could
- 21:44Speaker 1: tell them exactly how I feel and tell them to
- 21:46Speaker 1: go somewhere else because I'm not helping you. And regardless
- 21:49Speaker 1: of the color that they are, they can't bring a
- 21:52Speaker 1: cop back. I'm good, I'm chilling, you know what I'm saying.
- 21:55Speaker 1: I could tell you get the f out of here.
- 21:58Speaker 1: I'm not efing with you. And I know that I'm
- 22:01Speaker 1: not going to have no lawful repercussion, you know what
- 22:05Speaker 1: I'm saying. I'm not at risk that you know they're
- 22:08Speaker 1: gonna come and say, hey, this minority guy said this
- 22:11Speaker 1: to me, lock them up, you know what I mean?
- 22:14Speaker 1: Like that I do appreciate as an American, but I
- 22:17Speaker 1: also understand that I'm outnumbered, bro. So to me, it's
- 22:21Speaker 1: like not that I don't care about it, because I
- 22:25Speaker 1: stay very informed and I do care about it, and
- 22:28Speaker 1: I like to see where things are going. And I always,
- 22:31Speaker 1: like I said, Bro, I wish I was ignorant, you
- 22:34Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. It would be so much easier
- 22:35Speaker 1: to just not even care about stuff like this and
- 22:38Speaker 1: just go about your day. But it's just I can't
- 22:40Speaker 1: do that, you know what I mean. But I can
- 22:43Speaker 1: also be realistic about it, you know what I mean.
- 22:45Speaker 1: And that's just you know, it's not the point of
- 22:49Speaker 1: view that when I tell people that they agree with
- 22:53Speaker 1: or even feel like that's the kind of point of
- 22:55Speaker 1: view I should have, they kind of feel like it's
- 22:57Speaker 1: like a give up kind of thing. But I honestly
- 22:59Speaker 1: don't look at it like that, bro Like. I just
- 23:01Speaker 1: look at it like what it is factually in front
- 23:05Speaker 1: of me, you know what I mean. I don't attach
- 23:07Speaker 1: any emotion to that conclusion that I'm coming to, you
- 23:10Speaker 1: know what I mean, It's just a fact of life.
- 23:12Speaker 6: Broe.
- 23:17Speaker 1: What do you think about that?
- 23:20Speaker 4: Hey, I feel you. I feel you. I think.
- 23:24Speaker 5: I agree with you the person I am. It's hard
- 23:28Speaker 5: for me to just detach myself from it. But that's
- 23:33Speaker 5: just the person I am, you know what I'm saying. Yeah,
- 23:36Speaker 5: but I do agree with you.
- 23:37Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying.
- 23:38Speaker 1: It is what it is.
- 23:39Speaker 5: But also there's the other side of me that's like,
- 23:43Speaker 5: I'm still gonna call bullshit when I see bullshit, you know.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Yeah, No, that's exactly what I was saying, bro Like,
- 23:50Speaker 1: because I think that way. I'm I'm not about to
- 23:53Speaker 1: less some white people just talk to me. However they
- 23:56Speaker 1: want to talk to me like that. That's not what
- 23:58Speaker 1: I'm saying at all. But you know, I'm just it's like,
- 24:03Speaker 1: I don't know, bro, Like America is a funny thing, man,
- 24:07Speaker 1: because it's like we're in a situation where, like I said,
- 24:12Speaker 1: I can come here and be sure that the right
- 24:16Speaker 1: the laws are gonna protect me the same way they're
- 24:18Speaker 1: gonna protect somebody else, But at the same time, it's
- 24:22Speaker 1: not necessarily a place for me, if that makes sense,
- 24:27Speaker 1: you know what I mean. It's like a weird It's
- 24:28Speaker 1: a weird thing, Bro, It's a weird I don't know, man.
- 24:32Speaker 1: And I feel like, just how many different people here
- 24:36Speaker 1: have different opinions, bro, Like, I just don't see it
- 24:39Speaker 1: ever getting to a place where where we kind of
- 24:42Speaker 1: come to like a majority agreement, dog, because there's just
- 24:44Speaker 1: so many different people, you know what I mean, there's
- 24:47Speaker 1: just every I know, you know, when I listened to
- 24:51Speaker 1: the Breakfast Club, Charlemagne always says that black people are
- 24:54Speaker 1: not a monolith, and it's like, Bro, that's anybody, dog.
- 24:59Speaker 1: White people are not a monolith. Spanish people are not
- 25:02Speaker 1: a monolith. Like everybody thinks differently in every group, Bro,
- 25:06Speaker 1: Like you know, we said the neighborhood I grew up in, Bro,
- 25:10Speaker 1: we was all the same. We was all minorities, we
- 25:13Speaker 1: was all our families was making the same money, our
- 25:16Speaker 1: family's in the same situation. Everything was the same, Bro.
- 25:18Speaker 1: And we all had different opinions, and we all saw
- 25:21Speaker 1: everything a different way. How we come from the same
- 25:24Speaker 1: exact stuff and all have such varying opinions on everything, bro.
- 25:29Speaker 1: And can you say the other person's wrong? You know
- 25:32Speaker 1: what I mean? Like, how can you say everybody else's
- 25:34Speaker 1: opinion is wrong except for years? You know what I mean?
- 25:37Speaker 1: This is it's it's a lot, bro, it's a lot
- 25:40Speaker 1: to digest. And it's kind of like what we've been
- 25:42Speaker 1: talking about earlier.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Yeah, it's way too much confidence in that you are
- 25:49Speaker 3: not that smart.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Exactly exactly, Bro. Yeah, man, And.
- 25:55Speaker 4: That's what somebody's saying the.
- 25:58Speaker 5: I forgot the quote, but basically like some along the
- 26:01Speaker 5: lines of, you know, the smartest thing I can say
- 26:03Speaker 5: is that I know nothing or something like that.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I forget, Yeah exactly. Yeah, I know exactly what
- 26:08Speaker 1: we're talking about, though, But it's just just knowing that
- 26:11Speaker 1: that everything is fluid in life, Bro, that that's going
- 26:15Speaker 1: to put you in a in an intellectual place that's
- 26:20Speaker 1: going to have you being able to navigate through things
- 26:22Speaker 1: without emotion and even be able to deal with it
- 26:24Speaker 1: a little easier, bro, Because it's like we always talked about,
- 26:27Speaker 1: like in the beginning when we first started the show,
- 26:29Speaker 1: and we're really getting into these kind of topics. It's like, Bro,
- 26:34Speaker 1: you know that everybody's going through their own life and
- 26:37Speaker 1: the most important thing to them is their life, and
- 26:40Speaker 1: rightfully so they're the ones that's living it. Their life
- 26:43Speaker 1: or death is on them, and nobody cares about that
- 26:46Speaker 1: like them, you know what I'm saying. So it's like
- 26:48Speaker 1: you got everybody thinking that way. You've got to be
- 26:51Speaker 1: able to put yourself in somebody else's shoes because if
- 26:54Speaker 1: you can't, you're never going to get ahead. You're never
- 26:56Speaker 1: going to get ahead if you're just thinking it's just
- 26:59Speaker 1: like this and that's the that's it. You'll get ahead
- 27:01Speaker 1: with the people that think like you, for sure. But
- 27:04Speaker 1: that's where you're staying. If that's comfortable for you.
- 27:07Speaker 4: Cool.
- 27:07Speaker 1: If it's not comfortable for you, then you're gonna have
- 27:09Speaker 1: to be able to accept that there's the other ideas out.
- 27:12Speaker 5: Here, and there's no growth in not accepting it.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Facts. Well, yeah, man, I gotta get ready to slide.
- 27:20Speaker 1: If y'all down, we can hit them songs, bro. I
- 27:24Speaker 1: want to do that a little second, yes sir, Yes, sir.
- 27:27Speaker 1: I'll kick it off just so y'all could kind of
- 27:28Speaker 1: see what the vibe is. So I hit the guys
- 27:33Speaker 1: up in the chat a couple of days ago, like, hey,
- 27:35Speaker 1: let's do a thing. We'll bring up three different songs
- 27:38Speaker 1: or albums or just something sonically for people to check out.
- 27:43Speaker 1: So the three things are going to be something new,
- 27:46Speaker 1: something that's just new to you, and something that you're visiting.
- 27:50Speaker 1: So as far as music goes for me, the new
- 27:54Speaker 1: song is a song called The Gentleman by Pete and
- 27:58Speaker 1: Boss that actually ties into the new to me because
- 28:02Speaker 1: Pete and Boss are these two old English guys like
- 28:07Speaker 1: from England that rap and they do like drill rap
- 28:11Speaker 1: and like it's like like super gangster rap. But they're sliding, bro,
- 28:16Speaker 1: Like they're like, I'm telling you, these dudes are like
- 28:19Speaker 1: sixty seventy year old white dudes, bro, and you watch
- 28:23Speaker 1: the video and you're like, dog, this is crazy, but
- 28:25Speaker 1: they are sliding like they got flow. They got lyrics
- 28:30Speaker 1: they got like the swag, they got their production in.
- 28:33Speaker 4: My Boss artists.
- 28:36Speaker 1: No, no, no, it's just these old guys, like you look.
- 28:38Speaker 4: Them up and that's really I say, I seen what
- 28:41Speaker 4: you're saying. I didn't know if that was really there.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Yeah on the cover, yeah, on the cover them right,
- 28:46Speaker 1: But no, no, but check this out. It's not really
- 28:49Speaker 1: them because the New to Me is a song by
- 28:53Speaker 1: nine in Decks. Those are the artists nine, like the
- 28:56Speaker 1: number nine and Decks like Dexter nine in Decks p can'ampire.
- 29:01Speaker 1: So nine in Decks is like these younger white dudes
- 29:05Speaker 1: from England that's rappers, and they basically just made Pete
- 29:10Speaker 1: and Boss like made that persona and changed their voices
- 29:13Speaker 1: up to kind of sound gruffier and older, just like
- 29:16Speaker 1: got two older dudes to play them and they shot
- 29:20Speaker 1: videos for them like they played it like them old
- 29:23Speaker 1: dudes was really the ones behind the music. So like
- 29:26Speaker 1: they played it like that for like like a couple
- 29:28Speaker 1: of years straight. Bro, like nobody knew, like yo, who
- 29:31Speaker 1: is like people suspected? Like, bro, there's no way it's
- 29:35Speaker 1: these old dudes. But their lip syncing, the lyrics and
- 29:39Speaker 1: the videos, the voices kind of match what they look like.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Like when you hear the guys talk, you're like, bruh,
- 29:45Speaker 1: it's them, you know what I mean. But it's like,
- 29:47Speaker 1: you know it's not them because they're just rapping so
- 29:51Speaker 1: like like it's so loaded, like the flow, you know
- 29:55Speaker 1: what I'm saying, Like, there's no way these old dudes
- 29:57Speaker 1: are rapping like that dog. There's just no way. So
- 30:00Speaker 1: finally it got discovered that it's nine in Decks that's
- 30:04Speaker 1: doing them, and like nine in Decks just started releasing
- 30:07Speaker 1: music this year.
- 30:08Speaker 4: That's crazy.
- 30:09Speaker 1: So twenty twenty four is like the only music that
- 30:12Speaker 1: I seen from nine in Decks, Like I haven't seen
- 30:14Speaker 1: like no older stuff. And Bro, their music is dope too,
- 30:17Speaker 1: Like they have similar voices to Pete and Boss because
- 30:22Speaker 1: it's them, but it's not the same voices because they're
- 30:24Speaker 1: putting on voices for pet and Boss, so basically like them.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Two songs is like new and new to me because
- 30:30Speaker 1: they just dropped some new Pete and Boss stuff, But
- 30:33Speaker 1: the nine in Deck song is like an older one.
- 30:36Speaker 1: Brou the Pete and Boss stuff and the nine in
- 30:39Speaker 1: Deck stuff is dope to me, Like I like both
- 30:41Speaker 1: of them. Bro, I listened to both of them as artists.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Dog like it's crazy, bro. And then the thing I've
- 30:47Speaker 1: been revisiting is to get Richard I Trying soundtrack. At
- 30:51Speaker 1: the time, I was real in like my Super Gangster Bag,
- 30:56Speaker 1: and like that was like a movie soundtrack, so it
- 30:58Speaker 1: wasn't like something that like you were like trying to
- 31:00Speaker 1: pick up right away. Obviously you heard the songs you
- 31:03Speaker 1: know here and there. But I've been like really revisiting
- 31:06Speaker 1: the soundtrack and like really just like taking it in
- 31:10Speaker 1: AO in a way that I didn't when I was younger,
- 31:12Speaker 1: because I didn't really listen to it like in its
- 31:15Speaker 1: entirety when I was younger. But that's actually a pretty
- 31:17Speaker 1: dope album, bro, to get Rich of I Trying soundtrack
- 31:20Speaker 1: from the movie even though it has like the same
- 31:22Speaker 1: name as like the actual album. And that's kind of
- 31:25Speaker 1: like another part of it too, where it's like, Bro,
- 31:27Speaker 1: you're not about to get me thinking this is like
- 31:29Speaker 1: get rich of That Trying, which is definitely nothing like
- 31:31Speaker 1: Get rich of That Trying. But it's a slider, bro.
- 31:35Speaker 1: I Like one of my favorite songs on there is
- 31:37Speaker 1: that I don't know Officer one. Bro, that song is fired.
- 31:42Speaker 3: That's crazy that's a crazy story. That's a crazy story.
- 31:45Speaker 3: I never even fucking would have put that together. That's
- 31:48Speaker 3: a dope approach to making music though.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Yeah. Bro, I thought it's crazy though, because like they
- 31:53Speaker 1: really like were able to kind of put it pull
- 31:56Speaker 1: it off, and you could tell they were putting promo
- 31:58Speaker 1: into Pete and Boss, you know, the old guys, like
- 32:01Speaker 1: they were sure. They shot multiple videos. Like once you
- 32:04Speaker 1: check them out later, you'll see, like there's multiple videos.
- 32:06Speaker 1: There's like them freestyling like at radio station type things,
- 32:11Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So like that's where it's like, bro,
- 32:14Speaker 1: like this thing really had people thinking it was like
- 32:16Speaker 1: that because it would look so authentic the way that
- 32:19Speaker 1: they did it, But it was really just the old dudes,
- 32:22Speaker 1: you know. I mean it was really marketing.
- 32:25Speaker 4: Yeah, marketing for real, Bro, that's that is I like that.
- 32:30Speaker 3: I'm gonna have to turn to the little ear to
- 32:34Speaker 3: them tracks for sure.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Yeah. So who's the next? Who got they? Who got
- 32:39Speaker 1: their songs?
- 32:40Speaker 5: Man, I'll go ahead and go So it's new new
- 32:44Speaker 5: to me and something I've been revisiting.
- 32:48Speaker 1: New. So yeah, something that's new, something that's new to you,
- 32:51Speaker 1: and something that's you You listened to before that you're
- 32:54Speaker 1: just listening to again for whatever reason.
- 32:56Speaker 5: All right, So I dropped this joint in the chat
- 32:58Speaker 5: about a week and a half ago. So this is
- 33:00Speaker 5: a new joint off Freddy gibbs new project. It's called Ruthless.
- 33:05Speaker 5: I forget the name of the song that's sampled right
- 33:07Speaker 5: like off the top of my head, but it's a
- 33:09Speaker 5: fire song. Like It's crazy because I like Freddy Gibbs
- 33:13Speaker 5: and I've never been, you know, a huge fan. I
- 33:17Speaker 5: like him, but I've never really like dig through his
- 33:19Speaker 5: discography like that.
- 33:20Speaker 4: It was twelve once. Yeah, there it is, thank you.
- 33:25Speaker 5: But when I heard that song or that project, because
- 33:28Speaker 5: I actually let the whole project rid, it sent me
- 33:30Speaker 5: down a whole like rabbit hole of just checking out
- 33:33Speaker 5: Freddy Gibbs.
- 33:34Speaker 1: I'm like, Yo, this man is nice, he'd bro. You
- 33:39Speaker 1: don't get his dude because like people put him on
- 33:42Speaker 1: the corny side because of his antics. And it kind
- 33:44Speaker 1: of goes back to what we were saying earlier. He's
- 33:46Speaker 1: not like one of these younger artists, so he don't
- 33:48Speaker 1: play the internet the way that the younger artists played.
- 33:51Speaker 3: My favorite shit on Vultures was back to me and
- 33:55Speaker 3: Freddy Gibbs versus and.
- 33:56Speaker 4: He went crazy when I loved that song Dog still
- 34:01Speaker 4: on Vultures.
- 34:02Speaker 5: So definitely, Yeah, check out that new Freddy Gibbs album.
- 34:06Speaker 4: Yeah, I sent that.
- 34:09Speaker 3: I listened to it that. I'm pretty sure it never responded.
- 34:12Speaker 4: But you did, you did? You said yeah, no, No,
- 34:14Speaker 4: I was like, bro, I was like no.
- 34:15Speaker 3: As soon as he was like I sent it to
- 34:16Speaker 3: all my boys because we're all fucking one twelve fans,
- 34:19Speaker 3: it was like, Yo, listen to this sample.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Yeah you know, he went dummy.
- 34:22Speaker 5: So that's a new one, a new one to me.
- 34:27Speaker 5: It's called every Day and it's by it has whiskalif
- 34:32Speaker 5: for big crid, uh currency.
- 34:37Speaker 4: Uh smoke, uh, Jet Life boys.
- 34:40Speaker 5: Yeah, it's all of them basically, and that is off
- 34:45Speaker 5: the Full Court Press project in twenty twenty two. And Yo,
- 34:49Speaker 5: so that one made me listen to that project, which
- 34:53Speaker 5: then I went down another rabbit hole of going back
- 34:54Speaker 5: and listening to Wiz and So. Something I've been revisiting
- 34:58Speaker 5: is the O N I f C album Like Classic,
- 35:03Speaker 5: that album last I didn't like when it came out.
- 35:07Speaker 5: I knew it was fire, but going back and re
- 35:09Speaker 5: listening when I f C Dog this man was in
- 35:12Speaker 5: his super.
- 35:13Speaker 3: Bad Yeah he was. That's when he was established. I
- 35:16Speaker 3: feel that's when he was in Like, yeah, I made it.
- 35:19Speaker 3: I made it kind of because.
- 35:23Speaker 5: I love old school wi Is.
- 35:24Speaker 4: But that to me, Cam there he had two chains
- 35:27Speaker 4: on the Yeah, that was his like studio studio album
- 35:31Speaker 4: that weekend.
- 35:33Speaker 3: A change artists, you know what I mean, everybody out there, Yeah, yeah.
- 35:41Speaker 4: That's a good. That's a good.
- 35:46Speaker 3: My my new, my new new to me, big exa plug.
- 35:50Speaker 3: And I know he dropped two albums this year and
- 35:53Speaker 3: I've only listened to his latest one, which is take Care.
- 35:58Speaker 3: He reminds me of like money Bag Yo, like maybe
- 36:03Speaker 3: a Rick Ross. It's the same kind of kid and
- 36:05Speaker 3: the same kind of flow every pretty much every song.
- 36:08Speaker 4: But what he does with the production is what stands
- 36:10Speaker 4: out to me.
- 36:11Speaker 3: And if you can get things cleared that he stands
- 36:16Speaker 3: out to me even more so. He had like the
- 36:18Speaker 3: title track is the first track take Care, and he
- 36:21Speaker 3: sampled tell Me Why Her Loves Turned Cold by Willie Hutch,
- 36:26Speaker 3: which is the same sample as Stay Fly by three
- 36:29Speaker 3: six Mafia, and he used to he used to sample
- 36:32Speaker 3: straight up and it just went off on it And
- 36:35Speaker 3: I was like, and that's how he started the album.
- 36:38Speaker 4: So I was like, I, I now you got me.
- 36:40Speaker 4: If that's the first track I'm listening to, that's your
- 36:42Speaker 4: title track. It's the first track, and.
- 36:44Speaker 3: You're coming out that stay Fly beat and you're going off,
- 36:47Speaker 3: I'm listening to that.
- 36:48Speaker 1: He's really good, I said, the vibe with his records, Yeah,
- 36:51Speaker 1: and I haven't even gone back to his previous ones.
- 36:54Speaker 4: And then he dropped and the beat goes on by
- 36:56Speaker 4: the Whispers, which you know that's the Will Stiff Will
- 37:00Speaker 4: Smith Miami same sample, and he went off on that
- 37:04Speaker 4: that track is called bro went off on that.
- 37:06Speaker 3: I was like, all right, and for someone who I'd
- 37:09Speaker 3: never listened to before, and the best times I listened
- 37:12Speaker 3: to albums when I'm in the gym because I got
- 37:14Speaker 3: an hour to spare, So if I could play it
- 37:16Speaker 3: all the way through and not skip the track, any
- 37:20Speaker 3: track on the album and the first time listened, that's.
- 37:22Speaker 4: A good album for me.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Fact.
- 37:24Speaker 3: So he sold me there. I've been listening to that
- 37:26Speaker 3: one to repeat. I'm eventually gonna go back and see
- 37:28Speaker 3: if he's consistent with it. But his recent one, I
- 37:32Speaker 3: think it just dropped like in October take Care he's
- 37:35Speaker 3: new to me. I know he's been around for a minute,
- 37:38Speaker 3: but definitely someone I'm gonna probably keep an year out too.
- 37:44Speaker 4: Revisiting my beautiful, Dark Twist and Fantasy.
- 37:51Speaker 1: You've been in your Kanye bag lately?
- 37:53Speaker 3: Yeah, Well, so I started with who did I start
- 37:56Speaker 3: with the jay Z first?
- 37:58Speaker 1: Or Drake first?
- 38:00Speaker 4: Who that start with first? No? I think it was
- 38:04Speaker 4: Kanye first.
- 38:04Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm still on Kanye so I you know, I
- 38:06Speaker 3: started with college dropout, their registration graduation.
- 38:11Speaker 1: I thought you had already was running through the discographies,
- 38:15Speaker 1: like of all the artists, like you had already started.
- 38:17Speaker 3: Yeah, but I'm still I'm still stuck on my beautiful
- 38:20Speaker 3: Oh got I ran Life of Pablo for a while,
- 38:23Speaker 3: I ran Yesus, and then I just kept going back
- 38:27Speaker 3: because the production, like starting off with Dark Fantasy and
- 38:32Speaker 3: Nicki Minaj, you might as beeat the scene, but if
- 38:35Speaker 3: it was far too clean, the button down the one
- 38:38Speaker 3: below made of centuries ago, Like I'm not gonna reading
- 38:41Speaker 3: his lyrics or something.
- 38:42Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying. Listen up, children, zip it
- 38:46Speaker 4: listen like can we get much higher?
- 38:49Speaker 3: And they're rolling in the dark Fantasy with the kid
- 38:51Speaker 3: Cutty and like every single track for like Monster to
- 38:55Speaker 3: Sow with Paul, the verses he had on there, Get
- 38:59Speaker 3: Deviling in New Dressed with that guitar breakdown and Rick
- 39:02Speaker 3: Ross versus, and like, it's just such an immaculate album
- 39:07Speaker 3: that I needed to be remember and it's still right.
- 39:11Speaker 4: It's literally right there starting my work.
- 39:15Speaker 3: And every time I go back, it takes it doesn't
- 39:18Speaker 3: even take me back to the time anymore because I
- 39:20Speaker 3: remember the time I listen to it. It's just it
- 39:22Speaker 3: makes me love it like I heard it for the
- 39:24Speaker 3: first time.
- 39:24Speaker 4: Man, It's just it's.
- 39:26Speaker 3: Such a well produced all of the Light's interlude. I
- 39:29Speaker 3: tell everybody to this day at my funeral, all of
- 39:32Speaker 3: the Lights interlude, lower my casket to that song.
- 39:36Speaker 4: Please.
- 39:37Speaker 3: That is forever for the for the rest of my life,
- 39:39Speaker 3: if itever happens early or late, that is a song
- 39:43Speaker 3: that once you play in my funeral, It's just.
- 39:47Speaker 4: Like I said the production house.
- 39:49Speaker 3: Of course, of course, yeah, I'm saying, but like, it's
- 39:52Speaker 3: just so impactful. Even all of the Lights the regular record,
- 39:55Speaker 3: how we had like twelve different artists from like Elton
- 39:57Speaker 3: John or Rihanna to cut he like all people just
- 40:00Speaker 3: doing like two seconds parts of that song just to
- 40:04Speaker 3: make Fergie, just to make that song so glorious what
- 40:07Speaker 3: it is.
- 40:07Speaker 1: Probably has to pay zero point five percent.
- 40:10Speaker 4: He probably makes money off that.
- 40:11Speaker 1: He probably gotta pay every time that shit gets streamed.
- 40:14Speaker 3: Bro, people probably listening to that ship have no idea
- 40:16Speaker 3: what went into it, Like, oh yeah, that's cool calling
- 40:19Speaker 3: the album and it's like, every time I go back
- 40:22Speaker 3: to it, I appreciate the genius that he was and
- 40:25Speaker 3: he probably still is, but unfortunately he doesn't make that
- 40:27Speaker 3: same kind of caliber music.
- 40:29Speaker 1: But yeah, hey man, I got a slide, dog, I'm
- 40:33Speaker 1: gonna leave the people with this and the beat goes
- 40:37Speaker 1: on by the whispers. Dog, that's one of the best
- 40:39Speaker 1: songs of all time.
- 40:40Speaker 2: Bro.
- 40:41Speaker 1: It's a long song, but it's one of them songs
- 40:43Speaker 1: that it's still not long enough because it's so groovy. Bro,
- 40:46Speaker 1: So make sure y'all check that out. Man.
- 40:48Speaker 6: It stayed.
- 41:02Speaker 2: Apt, not.
- 41:30Speaker 7: Not not.
- 42:18Speaker 8: Not not not after act, not be at not doing
- 43:20Speaker 8: after act, not do at nothing after a
- 44:00Speaker 4: H
