- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we go. This is our last
- 0:02Speaker 1: break of the day. It's been a fun day. We've
- 0:04Speaker 1: had a great day on this Monday. Thank you so
- 0:07Speaker 1: much for listening. Junior. Before we get out of here,
- 0:10Speaker 1: before Steve's closing, you have a question for him.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Yeah, Can I ask you?
- 0:15Speaker 3: Did you did you have to learn how to be rich?
- 0:18Speaker 2: Did you have to learn it? Did it scare you
- 0:20Speaker 2: two to be rich? Did I have to learn it?
- 0:25Speaker 1: What?
- 0:25Speaker 2: Junior?
- 0:26Speaker 3: Let me ask you a question. What you think I
- 0:27Speaker 3: was doing before it happened? Let me and you know
- 0:33Speaker 3: what I was doing before, Junr. I was mastering the
- 0:37Speaker 3: art of poverty. I happened to be an expert. I'm
- 0:42Speaker 3: actually better at not having than having because I learned
- 0:47Speaker 3: a lot more when I didn't have.
- 0:50Speaker 2: It taught me a lot of lessons. Man. That's why
- 0:53Speaker 2: I know how to get over.
- 0:54Speaker 3: I know how I can survive through hard times because
- 0:57Speaker 3: I've been in them and I'm and like, man, people
- 1:01Speaker 3: get mad at them and they self in their situation.
- 1:03Speaker 3: But man, just master it, master how to do because
- 1:08Speaker 3: the one thing I have mastered and I'm very proud
- 1:12Speaker 3: of myself for doing it. And I was telling this
- 1:14Speaker 3: to somebody and they said, man, that sounds crazy. You
- 1:17Speaker 3: know what I've done, Junior, I've mastered the art of suffering.
- 1:22Speaker 3: I know how to suffer extremely well. And one of
- 1:27Speaker 3: my partners was talking to me and he said, MAO,
- 1:29Speaker 3: that's crazy. Why would you want to know how to
- 1:33Speaker 3: master suffering? I said, because in the event that I
- 1:37Speaker 3: have to suffer, which I have had to do many times,
- 1:41Speaker 3: I did really well at it. Now I did really
- 1:45Speaker 3: well at it because I had a secret weapon, prayer.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Prayer has helped me get through all of my difficult times,
- 1:57Speaker 3: and it got me to the point where I gave
- 1:59Speaker 3: a speech last night and I said, I'm unbeatable. You
- 2:04Speaker 3: can't beat me. I don't care what you do. If
- 2:07Speaker 3: you talk about me behind my back, I'm gonna keep going.
- 2:10Speaker 3: If you knock me down, I'm going to get up.
- 2:14Speaker 3: You can damage me, but you can't defeat me. Because
- 2:22Speaker 3: of the one thing I've learned about having a relationship
- 2:24Speaker 3: with God, I am never ever going to give up.
- 2:28Speaker 2: So now what you're gonna do about that?
- 2:31Speaker 3: See, eventually you're gonna get tired of kicking me, but
- 2:35Speaker 3: I'm never going to give up. So when you tired
- 2:39Speaker 3: of kicking me, I'm still keep it moving. And if
- 2:45Speaker 3: I don't take the time to come down off the
- 2:47Speaker 3: wall to kick you back, it's better for me. Because
- 2:52Speaker 3: the Bible says, stay on the wall. Stay on the wall.
- 2:58Speaker 3: When they throwing rocks at you, Stay on the wall
- 3:02Speaker 3: when they talking about you behind your back, Stay on
- 3:04Speaker 3: the wall. See what happens is man, if you come
- 3:07Speaker 3: down off the wall, you not I'll eye level with
- 3:11Speaker 3: the enemy. The rocks stay throwing. Now they right there
- 3:14Speaker 3: the eye level. If a person is throwing a rock
- 3:17Speaker 3: at me and I'm up on the wall, even if
- 3:19Speaker 3: it hit me, how bad can it hurt? Because he
- 3:22Speaker 3: had to throw up Because that's what haters have to
- 3:26Speaker 3: throw from. They have to throw from the bottom. Because
- 3:29Speaker 3: I've never had a hater doing better than me.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Never.
- 3:33Speaker 3: And if you think, let me give you an example.
- 3:37Speaker 3: If you think you have a hater that's doing better
- 3:39Speaker 3: than you, Let's say you have a supervisor on your job,
- 3:44Speaker 3: and this supervisor is making your life as miserable as
- 3:47Speaker 3: he can and he's just being a hater. Now I
- 3:50Speaker 3: just said, you'll never have a hater that's doing better
- 3:53Speaker 3: than you. Well, my boss is, well, he's not doing
- 3:56Speaker 3: better than you. You know why he's hating on you
- 3:58Speaker 3: because he see you coming. He sees in you that
- 4:02Speaker 3: you have everything it takes to overtake him, that you
- 4:07Speaker 3: are probably the next one to have his position, so
- 4:11Speaker 3: he'll come to hate. So it ain't that he's better
- 4:13Speaker 3: than you. He know you better than him. You'll never
- 4:16Speaker 3: have a hater that's doing better than you. Remember that
- 4:20Speaker 3: and stay on that wall, man, and recover. It's okay.
- 4:25Speaker 3: You're going to be fine. You just gotta keep it moving. Man, y'all,
- 4:33Speaker 3: for those of you listening, don't ever give up. I
- 4:36Speaker 3: don't care how dark it seems for you. I don't
- 4:39Speaker 3: care what the news is. I don't care what results
- 4:42Speaker 3: have come in. I don't care what statistics say. Don't
- 4:48Speaker 3: you ever give up. Back in the eighties, man, there
- 4:52Speaker 3: was a sign that said one in every twenty thousand
- 4:55Speaker 3: comedians will make it to the Tonight Show. I saw
- 4:59Speaker 3: that in a comedy club. So every night before I
- 5:03Speaker 3: went on, man, and I kid you not, I used
- 5:05Speaker 3: to hum the Tonight Show thing. I would harm that
- 5:12Speaker 3: every night before I went on, and somebody heard me
- 5:15Speaker 3: doing it. One time I was outside in the parking,
- 5:17Speaker 3: like getting ready for a show. They said, hey, man,
- 5:18Speaker 3: well you humming the Tonight Show thing? I said, yeah, Man,
- 5:21Speaker 3: He said why, I said, because there's a signist says
- 5:24Speaker 3: one in every twenty thousand comedians will make it to
- 5:26Speaker 3: the Night Show. He said, and you think you're gonna
- 5:28Speaker 3: be the one. I absolutely think so. He said, Man,
- 5:33Speaker 3: that's one in every twenty thousand, just one. I said, okay,
- 5:39Speaker 3: then I'll just be at one. I didn't understand what
- 5:43Speaker 3: are you was talking about. Now you know something, man,
- 5:49Speaker 3: And he said, in order to make it, you had
- 5:50Speaker 3: to be on the Tonight Show. I never made it
- 5:53Speaker 3: to the Tonight Show until after I was successful and
- 5:57Speaker 3: Jay Leno was the host, and I appeared on Tonight Show.
- 6:01Speaker 3: But I had already made it because you don't know
- 6:04Speaker 3: how God work, so in order for you to make it,
- 6:08Speaker 3: that was the benchmark back in the day. You had
- 6:10Speaker 3: to appear on the Tonight Show. That was the benchmark
- 6:13Speaker 3: for all comedians.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Man.
- 6:14Speaker 3: If I could get on Tonight's Show, then it was
- 6:16Speaker 3: the Letterman Show. If I could get on I've been
- 6:18Speaker 3: on all of them, but I got on them after
- 6:21Speaker 3: I was successful. Because the God I served does exceedingly
- 6:25Speaker 3: and abundantly over all I can think. I asked, and
- 6:29Speaker 3: I'll never give up on him. So don't give up
- 6:31Speaker 3: on yourself. Those are my clothing remarks today. Have yourself
- 6:35Speaker 3: a good one today. Talk to God today. He would
- 6:38Speaker 3: love to hear fun. I did that in the voice
- 6:40Speaker 3: of Scarface.
