- 0:01SPEAKER_05: Alright, welcome back everyone to To the Moon with the Lunit.
- 0:04SPEAKER_05: Today's Bitcoin price is 78K.
- 0:07SPEAKER_05: Today we've got some exciting guests, and we would love for Tim here to go ahead and introduce everybody on uh with us today.
- 0:16SPEAKER_13: Alright, first off, I got a surprise.
- 0:18SPEAKER_13: So let's just uh let's just go like let's go this.
- 0:23SPEAKER_13: Yes.
- 1:06SPEAKER_08: Bitcoin video magazine.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: Bitcoin video magazine.
- 1:12SPEAKER_07: Let's go.
- 1:20SPEAKER_13: All right.
- 1:20SPEAKER_13: There we go.
- 1:22SPEAKER_13: That was cool today.
- 1:25SPEAKER_13: Right on.
- 1:26SPEAKER_13: Hello, everybody.
- 1:27SPEAKER_13: Hello, Anthony and Danielle.
- 1:29SPEAKER_13: It's a pleasure to be here.
- 1:30SPEAKER_13: We have our entire crew today.
- 1:32SPEAKER_13: It's not uh common that uh that we're all together like this.
- 1:37SPEAKER_13: It's the first time we've been on a uh podcast altogether, so we're very excited to bring being be here and we join you from around the world.
- 1:46SPEAKER_13: Um California is in the left square and in an L shape.
- 1:53SPEAKER_13: And then uh Bitcoin Bazooka is uh in Germany at 6 30 a.m.
- 1:58SPEAKER_13: his time when this started.
- 1:59SPEAKER_13: Okay.
- 2:00SPEAKER_13: So I have our uh myself, Tim Tation.
- 2:04SPEAKER_13: Uh I'm the founder creator of Bitcoin Video Magazine, but I couldn't do it without these guys, particularly uh my co-producer Joe, also fourth wall digital, and uh friend of mine for over 20 years.
- 2:19SPEAKER_13: Uh in the EDM music scene, uh, Temptation actually was originally a DJ name, but more of a lighting.
- 2:26SPEAKER_13: I called it Timo's Illusionations or Temptation's Illusionations.
- 2:30SPEAKER_09: Nice.
- 2:31SPEAKER_13: Um Joe's an artist that that's done some uh big installation pieces at Burning Man and other uh big shows and things like that, and he's been in AI for uh about as long as it's been around and teaches classes on.
- 2:47SPEAKER_13: I met Bitcoin Bazooka through the Bitcoin Army when this idea started to kind of come to fruition because it was always there, and then all of a sudden it started just materializing more.
- 2:59SPEAKER_13: Um, he became one of my closest confidants, and it was just kind of weird that we started talking and then talking more and feeding back and being truthful with each with each other, and I appreciated the the truth and his artistic perspective and things like that.
- 3:16SPEAKER_13: He's also an artist, he does some incredible video work and he's a great editor, also.
- 3:21SPEAKER_13: Uh Gen XPTC, I met through the Bitcoin community.
- 3:25SPEAKER_13: Um, he's a he's our code slayer, just developed our uh website, Bitcoin Video Video Magazine.com.
- 3:32SPEAKER_13: It's amazing, been in the space for quite a while himself, and is often heard on Bitcoin today with Lauren Hoddle and Terrence Michael and uh a bunch of other spaces, particularly when there's uh tech or engineering involved and explanation.
- 3:51SPEAKER_13: So we have a good team here and uh we're super excited to be on the show.
- 3:56SPEAKER_05: Oh my gosh.
- 3:57SPEAKER_05: Thank you guys all for somehow synchronizing all of your schedules to be here with us today.
- 4:03SPEAKER_05: It's super cool just to see what you guys are creating, and uh, you know, we were able to chat a little bit before we even started, and just getting to hear parts of your story is so cool.
- 4:14SPEAKER_05: So thank you guys for figuring out a way for all of you to be together, um, just from all over the world.
- 4:20SPEAKER_05: So, and it's also nice to have some Cali people uh on the show as well.
- 4:25SPEAKER_10: Yeah, I know.
- 4:25SPEAKER_10: This is like I think uh you guys might be no, we had we had someone else, uh Josh.
- 4:30SPEAKER_10: He was he was in California, but um, I'm sorry, I'm just still blown away.
- 4:34SPEAKER_10: Like uh Gen X, BCC on here.
- 4:36SPEAKER_10: I love I love like the the profile picture, and bazooka is all the way in Germany right now, and the Game Boy camera.
- 4:45SPEAKER_10: This is just so cool.
- 4:46SPEAKER_10: Uh Bitcoin Video Magazine.
- 4:48SPEAKER_10: Um, so if you guys share with us, like how long has this been around, this idea, how did it all just kind of like what sparked this?
- 4:57SPEAKER_10: And then also at the same time, I know you guys gotta introduce like the the Bitcoin army, it also sounds like in just friendships, but um it's uh how do you guys even coordinate work?
- 5:08SPEAKER_10: Like, you know, everyone's at different places, you know.
- 5:11SPEAKER_10: So, like if you just break down like where did this idea spark from and like how did this all come together as well?
- 5:17SPEAKER_13: Well, this is our production studio here, this is our production board, and uh this is where all the magic happens.
- 5:27SPEAKER_13: We um we meet weekly and um and we work remotely, obviously.
- 5:33SPEAKER_13: Uh we have a pretty clean format, I think, which is just an eight chapter magazine in video format that covers the entire ecosystem of Bitcoin.
- 5:49SPEAKER_13: So we have uh we start out with a news desk, and the news desk uh we have one of here's a story that you guys will appreciate where we're starting with news desk, might as well start at the beginning.
- 6:00SPEAKER_13: So I was telling Joe, I'm like, man, you know, I really wish that we could find like an Asian Natalie Brunel or someone like this that was really educated about Bitcoin, could talk about it, kind of like a news anchor or something like this.
- 6:17SPEAKER_13: But she has to be Asian because I want the news desk to be NGU, because then you have like Nguyen, like Natasha Nguyen is the name I'm thinking of.
- 6:29SPEAKER_13: Or maybe I had something else, and he's all what about Natasha Nguyen?
- 6:31SPEAKER_13: And I'm all yeah, that's kind of a little bit Russian, but also has that Asian kind of flair, and you know, and um and NGU, of course, is an acronym for number go up, right?
- 6:43SPEAKER_13: And um so that's so I'm like, but that would be so expensive, we can't afford that.
- 6:48SPEAKER_13: But maybe what he's all he's all bro, I'll make her.
- 6:56SPEAKER_13: So how did that how did that work?
- 6:58SPEAKER_13: How did Natasha Nguyen and and Dez come about?
- 7:02SPEAKER_13: Because Dez is there's news and then uh new for Nuin and Dez for desk, right?
- 7:10SPEAKER_13: Okay, okay, okay.
- 7:11SPEAKER_13: I like it.
- 7:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 7:13SPEAKER_03: So so we came up with her, we we got some iterations, um, you know, we we got her whole backstory, we came up with this stuff about her.
- 7:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah, their whole history, yeah, yeah, and so then we you know, spent a lot of time, had a lot of you know, back and forth asking other people what do you think about these voices, the look, you know, and and uh with with anything, you know, we had some like kind of less uh let's say a little more flirty kind of AI, what's popular?
- 7:54SPEAKER_03: And so people were like, Yes, go with that, and like two were like, no, that's like uh more professional, Maxie, she's very smart, you know, blah blah blah.
- 8:04SPEAKER_03: So you know, we got her, and um yeah, it's it it's been amazing to to do it in uh it's it's uh force me and him and everybody on the team really.
- 8:15SPEAKER_03: I mean, I know a lot of us are on it super good anyway, but me probably the most which makes you be on top of things because you're like looking, okay, what's uh what's happening that that she would want to talk about.
- 8:28SPEAKER_03: So I had to kind of look at it through her eyes and stuff, and then Tim, um Tim's a great facilitator of a lot of things, you know.
- 8:37SPEAKER_03: So uh we had it we had the idea of them interacting with with with an actual real person early on, but Tim was like oh no no, right away.
- 8:48SPEAKER_03: Like he set it up for it to happen and told and every everybody was into it, of course.
- 8:54SPEAKER_03: But like in my mind, I was kind of like, okay, we'll use into that, and he's like, No, for his next episode, like let's do this.
- 9:01SPEAKER_03: And I think it turned out really cool that we're doing one of that too.
- 9:05SPEAKER_13: We had the uh the Bitcoin gingers uh in Gothenburg, Sweden, that we cut to, and we uh Joe worked with we worked with the kind of scripting with uh Natasha and with Dez so that uh and and with the Bitcoin gingers the uh you know in Gothenburg to like be able to have that kind of feedback and kind of you know kind of blend of fantasy and reality, right?
- 9:31SPEAKER_20: Good morning, Natasa! Good morning.
- 9:34SPEAKER_20: So just in, we hear that the Neglen are considering a 36% tax on unrealized games, and we think this is a very sad development for the compass here in EU.
- 9:44SPEAKER_13: And um that was really cool.
- 9:45SPEAKER_13: And then I talked to Tim Naymyr, founder and president of Illinois Bitcoin Council.
- 9:51SPEAKER_13: Hey y'all, Tim Neemeyer here, president of the Illinois Bitcoin Council, who also leads the meetup that Stacy goes to, as a matter of fact.
- 9:57SPEAKER_05: Thank you for being here.
- 9:58SPEAKER_13: So I'm like, hey Tim, man, you wanna you wanna talk to uh to our uh AI anchor bots and and and present this thing and we're gonna make it look real and this is gonna be great.
- 10:08SPEAKER_13: He's all dude, I'm down totally.
- 10:10SPEAKER_13: Yeah, and so he's reporting on the streets, and and so that's that's been really fun.
- 10:14SPEAKER_13: And the the idea of the news desk is really because um I think that maybe that is something that the noobs might kind of come to, come for rather is like, okay, let me check out what's happened.
- 10:28SPEAKER_13: You know, maybe they'll they're not on Twitter X, they're not, you know, they're paying attention to other markets and things that are happening and and maybe the bigger, you know, macro news stuff, but not in the Bitcoin news.
- 10:39SPEAKER_13: And to have, you know, a little opening section that kind of touches on what's recently kind of taken place is uh something that's great.
- 10:47SPEAKER_13: We just made a connection with and we'll be working with uh a guy who does something called the Bitcoin Act.
- 10:53SPEAKER_13: And the Bitcoin Act, he's based in uh Switzerland, and um he is uh he writes a newsletter that covers the entire regulatory, legislative kind of Bitcoin law around the world, and releases that weekly.
- 11:10SPEAKER_13: And I'm all bro, I'm all you gotta you gotta join in with us, and you know, we'll plug you in and stuff like this, and that's kind of what we're about is we really want to um be uh we we want to be uh something of a of a bigger team than just you know the four of us, and we want everyone to be able to play.
- 11:30SPEAKER_13: But usually if you know people are like, dude, that sounds great, that sounds fun.
- 11:35SPEAKER_13: We want to we want to get involved, and so that's you know, kind of how we're growing.
- 11:40SPEAKER_13: And um so yeah, so that's chapter one is in eight chapters.
- 11:45SPEAKER_13: Chapter two is uh podcast highlights, and so we're looking for you know uh maybe 30 seconds or a minute, minute and a half of just something that's impactful.
- 11:57SPEAKER_13: Okay, let's go.
- 12:01SPEAKER_13: Or whether it be from small, uh, you know, smaller podcasts that are having you know plebs on, like Josh, uh the Mexican magician, or like uh Beacus, who just you know wrote uh wrote published his uh his first book and is getting rave reviews and things like that.
- 12:21SPEAKER_13: And we're like um we kind of want and continue to just try to represent the underdogs and the rookies and the people that grew up that have the str the street smarts and the right attitude to uh just come together and uh you know and and and build unity together.
- 12:40SPEAKER_10: Yeah, that is so cool, Tim.
- 12:43SPEAKER_10: And like it really brings it like with the plebs too.
- 12:46SPEAKER_10: Like, I like how I'm super focused too.
- 12:49SPEAKER_10: What we realize with this podcast, like we we wanna we wanna like highlight plebs.
- 12:53SPEAKER_10: Like these are the people on the ground, on the boots that are like you know, trying to orange pill people, trying to talk to people about Bitcoin, uh, you know, they're just trying to and constantly learn about Bitcoin too.
- 13:03SPEAKER_10: I think like that's something that kind of gets mixed with plebs, like uh thinking that um you know plebs know it all, but we're always constantly learning.
- 13:11SPEAKER_10: Yeah, and so um that's one thing that I really appreciate.
- 13:14SPEAKER_10: Uh, and I know you mentioned Josh uh uh dirty hands clean money, he's awesome.
- 13:20SPEAKER_10: Like we love it.
- 13:22SPEAKER_13: I got a quick little clip if you want to see uh bust it out if you want to see him.
- 13:26SPEAKER_13: This is gonna be an issue number three, and uh let me do a quick share screen here.
- 13:55SPEAKER_20: That's what I didn't want, bro.
- 13:56SPEAKER_20: I don't that was my fear, you know.
- 14:11SPEAKER_05: That's awesome, dude.
- 14:12SPEAKER_10: That's awesome, Tim.
- 14:14SPEAKER_10: And uh just to and you guys have two um issues out, right?
- 14:19SPEAKER_13: We have two issues out.
- 14:20SPEAKER_13: Our first our Genesis issue was appropriately released at block 93750, which was uh on January 3rd, um the Genesis block on the Genesis uh issue.
- 14:34SPEAKER_13: We released our issue number two uh just after uh Bitcoin Las Vegas.
- 14:39SPEAKER_13: So we're kind of quarterly right now, and just to kind of give you a quick little explanation of what we're trying to do, I'm gonna play one more quick clip here.
- 14:49SPEAKER_13: Hold on.
- 15:05SPEAKER_13: We may not start off eight weekly, in fact, we won't, or bi-weekly, or maybe not monthly at first, but we will get there and we're gonna rock and we're gonna bring you stuff that's exciting from around the world, not just from California or USA or North America.
- 15:21SPEAKER_13: We're going to bring it from all around the world.
- 15:25SPEAKER_13: We hope that you join us.
- 15:26SPEAKER_13: Next up, we have community section, and this is gonna be with Joyce from Vancouver Island, British Columbia on starting a Bitcoin circular economy.
- 15:37SPEAKER_13: Can't wait for this section.
- 15:38SPEAKER_13: We'll see you guys later.
- 15:40SPEAKER_13: It's like crazy hot, hottest California summer in like so many years.
- 15:46SPEAKER_13: Is that what you said to yes?
- 15:49SPEAKER_03: I was like, I'm kind of jealous just listening to it to be honest.
- 15:54SPEAKER_13: I should turn it off for this, really, but my apologies.
- 15:58SPEAKER_13: So moving past chapter two, we have chapter three, which is lifestyle and culture.
- 16:03SPEAKER_13: And for the lifestyle and culture, I'm like, I I wanted, you know, in issue number two, I'm like, bazooka man, dude, you've you've got it going on, and I I really would love to share a little bit of what you're doing um with the rest of the world.
- 16:19SPEAKER_13: And so maybe I'll show just a quick little clip of that if you guys are down.
- 16:23SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 16:47SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 17:00SPEAKER_12: Instead of following a linear step by step, this mental process functions as a web or constellation of reach, often allowing for rapid creative leaf across different familiar domains.
- 17:13SPEAKER_13: So that's a little bit about bazooka, and that kind of brings us to bazooka.
- 17:19SPEAKER_13: Let's hear, let's hear some of your thoughts, and uh, and uh, you know, thank you for joining us this this morning, this beautiful morning in Germany.
- 17:29SPEAKER_09: Thank you, Zuka.
- 17:31SPEAKER_05: Yeah, thank you.
- 17:32SPEAKER_15: Yeah, my pleasure.
- 17:33SPEAKER_15: Nice for having me.
- 17:34SPEAKER_15: Um yeah, um, what kind of thought?
- 17:38SPEAKER_15: Um I was basically searching for for some people to talk about Bitcoin in the first place.
- 17:44SPEAKER_15: That was my my reason to set up my X account actually.
- 17:48SPEAKER_15: Um because I somehow Bitcoin found me and I was so happy about it and uh learned so much about it and wanted to share it, yeah.
- 18:00SPEAKER_15: And uh I found nobody in the real world, so I went into the interwebs.
- 18:05SPEAKER_15: And um then I realized that uh that I wanted to connect more into the uh the whole ecosystem, and um somehow I I found myself even more in the space, and um um I'm basically a media designer.
- 18:23SPEAKER_15: I learned like um the traditional like Photoshop and um creating uh flyers layouts and stuff, and I have um uh background in uh uh independent uh electronic music production.
- 18:41SPEAKER_15: So I'm uh yeah, I'm a visual and audio guy, and um I wanted to um to combine all of that in one like um yeah, in one ecosystem in one space, and um uh yeah Bitcoin opened this for me to to be just be myself and use all my my my uh my skills and stuff I love and yeah, I was searching for people and joined the Bitcoin army and um I don't know, I can't I can't explain.
- 19:12SPEAKER_15: Somehow I just I just found Tim and I was just it was just a post I saw, if I remember correctly, was uh actually a Bitcoin cousin who kinda uh pushed me into your direction and I was uh just basically writing to you, and somehow we felt in love and started working, and everything uh fit fits so well together, and uh also our expertise because Tim is also coming from kind of a subcultural environment uh uh with your uh um skateboarding and um snowboarding experience and uh yeah for me also the same.
- 19:54SPEAKER_15: I'm more like um I had always like uh the kind of normal jobs like in the world of theatre, but was always um trying to find something beside that parallelly, like uh to express myself like in the world of of art or music, and um yeah that's that's that's what I see in Bitcoin that I combine everything what I learned in my life, all my the stuff I I I want to do and have fun.
- 20:22SPEAKER_15: Um I can do this in Bitcoin now.
- 20:25SPEAKER_15: This this is what I'm uh what motivates me to to uh to push further, yeah.
- 20:32SPEAKER_05: That's great.
- 20:33SPEAKER_05: I think it's awesome that you know extended yourself and put yourself out there to be able to you know communicate with other Bitcoiners.
- 20:41SPEAKER_05: I I admire that because sometimes that's an intimidating thing because when you're in the real world, not everyone understands your mindset, you know, and that could go with a lot of other things too.
- 20:51SPEAKER_05: Um it's really great that you know you found this.
- 20:55SPEAKER_05: Like, I mean, man, if you had you not done that, you wouldn't be able to express yourself in this way and work with these guys, these awesome people that are just creating it.
- 21:03SPEAKER_05: It's just so cool.
- 21:05SPEAKER_10: Yeah, so I have to ask Bazuka, how many cats do you have?
- 21:12SPEAKER_15: Two actually.
- 21:14SPEAKER_10: Are they black?
- 21:15SPEAKER_10: Are they black?
- 21:16SPEAKER_10: They are black, yeah, yeah.
- 21:17SPEAKER_15: Black, most like 90% black, yeah.
- 21:19SPEAKER_10: Okay, because I'm like, I always see, you know, on you on my timeline, I just it's just like and a talking cat.
- 21:29SPEAKER_10: I'm like, dude, this is great.
- 21:31SPEAKER_10: I'm like, and then in a little bit no I'm like, I had no idea.
- 21:34SPEAKER_10: I was like, this is so cool.
- 21:36SPEAKER_10: Like once we set this up with Tim, I'm like, dude, awesome.
- 21:39SPEAKER_10: Like we all I always see Bazooka on my timeline, and now I'm like, this is perfect.
- 21:43SPEAKER_10: And like just to hear like your actual voice and not me now is really nice.
- 21:51SPEAKER_13: Put put your cat on for a minute.
- 21:53SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 21:54SPEAKER_03: I was gonna say at our last meeting, he had his and I thought he was gonna come on here with it, might be a camera thing, but yeah.
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: He's got his his cat.
- 22:01SPEAKER_03: He came to our last meeting as his cat.
- 22:03SPEAKER_15: Oh yeah, everyone.
- 22:05SPEAKER_15: Nice.
- 22:08SPEAKER_15: Nice to meet you.
- 22:09SPEAKER_05: Is that what you're seeing on your door?
- 22:10SPEAKER_05: No, no, it's a it's a actual black cat.
- 22:15SPEAKER_13: So Bazooka is a little bit kind of likes to lay under the radar and and just chill, not really super social, but he loves to express himself.
- 22:26SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 22:32SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 22:32SPEAKER_15: Yeah, yeah, yes and no.
- 22:34SPEAKER_15: It's like I'm kinda twisted.
- 22:36SPEAKER_15: There was a time I was actually going out regularly um playing music in Europe and um Belgium, UK, uh Berlin.
- 22:48SPEAKER_15: But I don't know.
- 22:49SPEAKER_15: You're changing over the time, and um I'm getting older, and um I don't know.
- 22:54SPEAKER_15: I prefer the the safe environment of my of my little uh people.
- 23:00SPEAKER_10: Yeah, whatever worked for you too.
- 23:03SPEAKER_10: Um was there a moment where you're just like or did something happen to you, bazooka, where you're like, hey, you know what?
- 23:08SPEAKER_10: I kind of want to be a little bit more private, a little bit more uh held back a little bit, and or in your own zone, type of deal.
- 23:16SPEAKER_15: Absolutely, yeah.
- 23:18SPEAKER_15: It's it's a little bit based on my how can I say on my brain because I am an ADHD autist person.
- 23:26SPEAKER_15: Um it was always kind of how can I say a little bit exhausting because um as an ADHD autist person you you concentrate on on your sensorical system so much.
- 23:42SPEAKER_15: So, for example, just going out sometimes, just going shopping can be kind of exhausting, um, talking to people, um yeah, I guess this is normal even if you don't have autism, but putting a mask on like me can be exhausting.
- 23:59SPEAKER_15: And I figured after a while, maybe after I was maybe I don't know 20-25 years working in the field system.
- 24:09SPEAKER_15: Um and I don't know, maybe it was shortly after the whole uh uh uh C thingy going on uh in the beginning of um the 20s.
- 24:21SPEAKER_15: After that, somehow I figured I can work better and more decent when I am focused in my in my own little uh ecosystem, my own little environment.
- 24:34SPEAKER_15: And also, this goes parallel with Bitcoin.
- 24:37SPEAKER_15: It uh supports exactly this.
- 24:40SPEAKER_15: You are you are um you are able to to create your own little system which works for you.
- 24:47SPEAKER_15: Yeah, um this is amazing actually.
- 24:51SPEAKER_15: I I it took me years to to sum up, or maybe it I don't know, maybe I was desperate or so because we are saying yeah, Bitcoin is is finding you, not you don't find Bitcoin, yeah.
- 25:01SPEAKER_15: And it was exact exactly like this.
- 25:03SPEAKER_15: I was finding for for a solution of um not being too distracted out there and and and be able to express myself at the same time.
- 25:15SPEAKER_15: Yeah, because it yeah, it can be complicated if you um if you kinda isolate yourself and you do a lot of stuff, and the good thing is you get really good on the stuff because you have time and put put the effort in it, but at the same time uh you have to go all outside somewhere uh somehow because when you write songs, for example, the whole day you want to show them um in in in the club or your friends or whatever, so you always have to like it's not possible to live just in a cave, yeah.
- 25:47SPEAKER_05: Even with Bitcoin, yeah, even even for your health, you know, just being able to go outside, you know, get secure and all of that.
- 25:55SPEAKER_15: Absolutely, absolute.
- 25:57SPEAKER_15: Yeah, it's not it's not that I'm completely uh just sitting at home, but I prefer the safe environment of my of my pets and my my garden and stuff, yeah.
- 26:06SPEAKER_10: Dude, that's great, and I it's so cool, like Bitcoin, like it how we're all like different personalities, right?
- 26:13SPEAKER_10: Whether you're like, hey, I want to be isolated or I want to be by myself, I want to be in my own space, or I want to be out on a podcast, or I want to like create a Bitcoin video magazine, like it doesn't even matter.
- 26:24SPEAKER_10: All walk of life, it's crazy how Bitcoin brings everyone together, and um, I don't know, it's just always mind-blowing to me.
- 26:31SPEAKER_10: Uh people who are super cody, people who have like uh um, you know, uh new death, new end, uh, you know, whatever it may be, right?
- 26:40SPEAKER_10: It's like just everything.
- 26:42SPEAKER_10: I'm always blown away by like how big uh Bitcoin brings everyone together.
- 26:46SPEAKER_05: And you're connecting people from around the world, so that's another awesome thing, which is it feels impossible, but somehow you made the impossible possible, and it's so neat because now people that you're having on as guests, and you know, you're having those conversations too.
- 27:01SPEAKER_05: I think that is like the coolest thing because that's one of the things that I've learned as I was, you know, uh you know, learning more about Bitcoin too was how it had it is all over the world and how people are really like it helps people.
- 27:17SPEAKER_05: You know, it's been helping people, it's helping them get out of situations, even using Bitcoin in their in their systems.
- 27:25SPEAKER_05: And um, I just think it's been really eye-opening for me um to see that.
- 27:29SPEAKER_05: So I just think what this is is so cool.
- 27:32SPEAKER_05: I honestly hadn't heard of a video magazine in general.
- 27:35SPEAKER_05: Yeah, like I didn't know this existed.
- 27:38SPEAKER_05: I don't know if I lived under a rock my whole life, um, but this is super cool.
- 27:43SPEAKER_13: And super different.
- 27:45SPEAKER_13: Awesome.
- 27:47SPEAKER_13: That's what we mean it to be.
- 27:49SPEAKER_13: Uh the the video magazine I think came from like the early punk zine kind of uh kind of uh strategies where you know in different you know cities in metropolis uh you might have, you know, there were there were of course big magazines like uh Rolling Stone or um music magazines and things like that at the time, but in any metropolis there would always be the kids that went to the clubs that would print their own zines uh you know on with their Xerox black and white copiers and just distribute them.
- 28:25SPEAKER_13: I I did some of like some smaller things like that in high school, and we would stuff them into lockers and no one knew who wrote them, and we had a you know a couple writers and stuff like this, and it was really cool.
- 28:38SPEAKER_13: We would write stupid poetry or you know, uh list our favorite songs and whatever and just blast them out to basically it's gorilla marketing, and so Bitcoin Video Magazine is definitely partially gorilla marketing, and um, you know, I I think uh we're just we're super blessed to have the team that we have put together.
- 28:59SPEAKER_13: Uh Gen XBTC brings so much to the table.
- 29:02SPEAKER_13: I mean, our lead sources um in terms of um of the content that we can you know intake is almost limited, uh limitless, I mean, uh on X because we see something cool.
- 29:17SPEAKER_13: Like I saw this guy, Thomas Grobat, he and his wife are are uh you know doing little video clips of them, you know, riding their motorcycles through South America.
- 29:27SPEAKER_13: And I'm all I wonder what this guy's story is.
- 29:29SPEAKER_13: So I just reached out to him and I'm like, hey, I've been checking out your post, and it looks like this is really interesting.
- 29:36SPEAKER_13: What's your story?
- 29:37SPEAKER_13: And he's all oh well, you know, my wife and I we decided to sell our uh our apartment.
- 29:43SPEAKER_13: I I you know closed up shop.
- 29:44SPEAKER_13: I had a f you know, five five employees just decided to buy Bitcoin and you know take this opportunity to um sell everything except for our backpacks and our bikes and some camping equipment and just you know travel the world for a little while.
- 29:59SPEAKER_13: And uh I'm all dude, that's incredible.
- 30:02SPEAKER_13: Can you tell that story?
- 30:03SPEAKER_13: And he's like, Yeah, sure, how do you want me to tell it?
- 30:06SPEAKER_13: And I'm all you know, kind of scripted it out a little bit together, and um he's like, dude, I got this, and uh, you know, people submitted like all this rad.
- 30:17SPEAKER_13: I mean, I wish I could use more, but you know, it's I think that part of our niche is to keep that very compacted and you know, one to three minutes for like our bumpers, and which I'll show you in a second what a bumper is, and um maybe three to seven minutes or so for our like main title section.
- 30:38SPEAKER_13: Um but uh Gen X like also just knows everybody in this industry, and um and has been you know getting us some some good nods of appreciation and uh and uh as well as of course being incredible creating our website, bitcoin video magazine.com, but also um his apparel line is incredible without rulers uh without dash rulers.com.
- 31:08SPEAKER_13: Uh do you do you do you want to talk about that a little bit?
- 31:10SPEAKER_13: By the way, just to brag on him for a minute, he worked he he actually designed um he he's designed some some bigger uh websites.
- 31:19SPEAKER_13: I maybe I shouldn't say anything.
- 31:21SPEAKER_13: I'll I'll I'll I'll keep it at that right now.
- 31:26SPEAKER_03: While he's still muted, I'll say this.
- 31:29SPEAKER_03: I own hundreds of shirts.
- 31:31SPEAKER_03: Uh I'm a t-shirt person, I've been to a million shows, concerts, I get all kinds of crazy shirts.
- 31:37SPEAKER_03: I wouldn't have shirts the best shirt I own.
- 31:42SPEAKER_03: Oh the package or like what you call with like oh I would totally recommend Google something whatever.
- 31:56SPEAKER_03: Just get something you want to get the package that it comes in.
- 32:00SPEAKER_03: So cool, so cool.
- 32:03SPEAKER_13: He he gave me this as a gift, and and this is wow, and and so I open it up and I have it it's like and there's like codes in there and stuff, and it's like okay, I got now I'm collecting stuff in here.
- 32:17SPEAKER_13: But um, but it's just absolutely amazing, and and and literally the quality that of the shirts he uses is some of the highest quality.
- 32:25SPEAKER_13: I don't I can't explain what it is, but um and the reason for that is is because Bitcoiners don't want to part with their Bitcoin unless it's for a value for value, right?
- 32:37SPEAKER_13: So V for V.
- 32:38SPEAKER_13: I don't want to trade my Bitcoin for something dumb, but I mean I collect you know Bitcoin art and stuff like this, and when I see something very cool, I'm gonna do it.
- 32:47SPEAKER_13: And like when we needed stickers, I I was shopping around online and I'm all why would I pay fiat dollars to a fiat person to give me fiat stickers?
- 33:01SPEAKER_13: And I actually um reached out uh to Proof of Inc.
- 33:05SPEAKER_13: and I'm like, here's what I'm looking for.
- 33:08SPEAKER_13: Can you do it?
- 33:09SPEAKER_13: And he gave me a quote that was way less than um than what I was looking at, and way better stickers and more of them.
- 33:18SPEAKER_13: And I happily, in fact, I I tipped I tipped on top of what he quoted me in sats because I'm like, bro, that's too cheap.
- 33:26SPEAKER_13: That's that's not that's not enough.
- 33:28SPEAKER_13: But you know, he values SAT and Bitcoiners value sats and and earning in sats, and that's the best thing that you could possibly do is uh and and and Bitcoin in order to be money needs that velocity, it needs that uh circulation, and and the community appreciates it, it helps us all grow and inspires us to learn more about it and stuff.
- 33:54SPEAKER_13: So, you know.
- 33:56SPEAKER_10: Yeah, no, yeah, if you don't and uh that's awesome, Tim.
- 33:59SPEAKER_10: And that's actually one thing that we've learned from our podcast is we need to spend more Bitcoin.
- 34:03SPEAKER_10: And how do we do that?
- 34:04SPEAKER_10: So we'll we'll go to places, ask them, hey, you guys accept Bitcoin, even get their wheels turning.
- 34:09SPEAKER_10: Like, hey, everyone hears it way more, so just asking those little questions, like it.
- 34:14SPEAKER_10: I don't know, it's just a little bit more intimate and a little it gets people's wheels turning when they're like, wow, like someone's asking me if we accept Bitcoin.
- 34:20SPEAKER_10: Um, and then the other thing is, yeah, so now whenever someone has a product or a service like to love on them, like we'll go ahead and buy that.
- 34:27SPEAKER_10: And what we'll do too is like I think it'd be this is actually perfect.
- 34:30SPEAKER_10: So what we could do is like if Gen X wants, uh we you know, when we air this episode, we'll go ahead and like purchase something and do like a giveaway for somebody.
- 34:39SPEAKER_10: So we'll purchase something from him and then he can do a giveaway, yeah.
- 34:42SPEAKER_10: Uh so someone can see like his product, and then they can go ahead and spotlight it when they receive it.
- 34:46SPEAKER_10: Yeah, and then it's just like it's just get this thing going.
- 34:50SPEAKER_10: So please, Gen X, if you're there, please say something.
- 34:54SPEAKER_10: Right, right.
- 34:54SPEAKER_14: Hey, how's that doing?
- 34:56SPEAKER_14: Is that good?
- 34:56SPEAKER_14: Yeah, yeah.
- 34:57SPEAKER_14: Perfect.
- 34:58SPEAKER_14: All right, yeah, you guys are nice.
- 35:01SPEAKER_14: Um what do you what do you want me to what do you want me to what do you want to know first?
- 35:05SPEAKER_14: What do you what can I say?
- 35:06SPEAKER_03: I I'll I'll ask this because Tim said he didn't know, and I was just thinking of it.
- 35:11SPEAKER_03: Whatever that cotton is or whatever the material is, it kind of feels cool and smooth, way better than almost every other shirt I've ever owned.
- 35:20SPEAKER_03: Is that some special kind of Egyptian cotton?
- 35:22SPEAKER_03: What's going on there with that?
- 35:23SPEAKER_03: That's amazing.
- 35:24SPEAKER_14: Yeah, so that's a so you know there's a lot of options of apparel that people will have manufactured, and that one is a uh 100% carded cotton.
- 35:36SPEAKER_14: It comes from a New Zealand company.
- 35:38SPEAKER_14: Okay.
- 35:39SPEAKER_14: Um and yeah, that you got Tim, you said that like that value for value.
- 35:46SPEAKER_14: There's a thing that you know, people who have come to Bitcoin or other things that they really value, um, they came out of that fiat system where things were diluted, and they're not willing to part with their time and money for something that's subpar or that they're not gonna value.
- 36:04SPEAKER_14: So, you know, if you're gonna do something for a Bitcoiner, um, you better like up your game uh because they expect no less and they shouldn't expect less.
- 36:14SPEAKER_14: Um so yeah, I a lot went into the selection um as far as like the business, even not having it printed by another company, and that's not to discourage anybody that does do that, but proof of work was well, if I'm the you know, I started in design before I got heavy into development, and uh you you have to do the work.
- 36:43SPEAKER_14: Um and again, it's just that's that's one of the things for me that stood out.
- 36:48SPEAKER_14: And there's a there's a history on why and how without rulers came about.
- 36:54SPEAKER_14: Um some people will will share the sentiment and they've seen certain things in the world.
- 37:00SPEAKER_14: Um but yeah, it's uh it comes from you know, we all have different ways of educating, and for me, I wanted it to be more of the opsec friendly, you know, only other bitcoiners.
- 37:16SPEAKER_14: And honestly, like a lot of bitcoiners will see some of my stuff and they don't know it has anything to do with Bitcoin because it's usually technical, and and a lot of that, like Tim showed you one of the boxes, that's about like customization and it being for you, and there isn't another one exactly like this, and to educate, um, like you saw some hexadecimal.
- 37:42SPEAKER_14: Um, sometimes I send people on a little bit of a scavenger hunt just trying to understand the messages, and you know, things are coded in hexadecimal because Bitcoin uses hexadecimal to help um dispel a lot of the technical fears that people have if they don't have a technical background.
- 38:01SPEAKER_14: Like, hey, this isn't actually as hard.
- 38:04SPEAKER_14: So when you decode some hex code that I have in there for you, there's a message behind it.
- 38:11SPEAKER_14: You have to do proof of work now to decode that message to see it, and it also like you just took a step into understanding something technical that now you see, like, wow, that actually wasn't that bad.
- 38:24SPEAKER_14: I I understand what's going on here, you know, to a degree.
- 38:28SPEAKER_14: Yeah, you you need to do the work to solve it, and um yeah, anyway, so that's without rulers.
- 38:35SPEAKER_14: Um, there's a lot behind the brand, even why it's black and white in color and why he's in chains.
- 38:44SPEAKER_14: And um I think just one of the things that happened was you know, everybody has different experiences through COVID.
- 38:54SPEAKER_14: Um I I come from big tech, I've seen a lot of like dilution of quality and principles, as I think a lot of us have.
- 39:06SPEAKER_14: And um I walked away from it to take over a high school Girls Lacrosse program, and I played rugby.
- 39:16SPEAKER_14: Um I didn't know lacrosse.
- 39:18SPEAKER_14: So um it's one of those things that like look what happens when when people get free to to to breathe a little bit and to put some time and energy into something that they don't need a monetary return on.
- 39:33SPEAKER_14: And that's that's a lot about like what I saw through COVID coaching high school kids, seeing the breakdown of people who supposedly were supposed to be leading, and so there's a lot more behind the brand other than just um selling apparel.
- 39:51SPEAKER_14: Um, I I do have a art print, um, a lot of other stuff, but anyway, Tim and I um met uh just through some mutuals, and uh then I met Joe and Bazooka um after that.
- 40:09SPEAKER_14: Um and it's you know it's important that people get out there and meet other people.
- 40:13SPEAKER_14: Um, I did stay away from uh social media entirely um for a long time, um, but there comes a point where it's like I I've I've capped how far I can go with my my understanding of Bitcoin.
- 40:29SPEAKER_14: For me, I like to be on the technical side, there's a lot to learn, nobody knows it all.
- 40:35SPEAKER_14: And it really led me into some areas that I really didn't expect and offer to bring some value to people and to learn a lot from smuggles as well.
- 40:47SPEAKER_13: And Andreas Antonopoulos used to say that in Japan there's no word for expert.
- 40:54SPEAKER_13: The kanji for it is uh continual learner.
- 40:59SPEAKER_06: Yes, yeah, nice.
- 41:01SPEAKER_10: The um uh Gen X, uh, we could just end right there.
- 41:06SPEAKER_10: That was so good.
- 41:08SPEAKER_10: Oh my god, I'm just kidding now, by the way.
- 41:10SPEAKER_10: No, we're not ending it, but man, that was so good.
- 41:12SPEAKER_10: That was so deep, and I and I and like and again, it's just funny how the way Bitcoin works is like there's surface level, there's like intermediate level, there's deep level, like like I don't even know.
- 41:23SPEAKER_10: I think hexadecimal, I think it's we can we can go deep, but you guys are gonna need to take a nap after.
- 41:30SPEAKER_10: Yeah, that's so funny, but no, that's so good, and then um uh yeah, because I just did an episode, uh it dropped today with um uh Mac uh Crater, and it was uh talking about like the you know, uh I don't want to get too deep in it, but the soft fork and the hard fork and stuff like that, and it was just a huge warning experience because I was like, wow, and I'm pretty sure just listening to what you just shared, it even probably goes even deeper.
- 41:57SPEAKER_10: Um so and then with your apparel, uh what kind of a what kind of is it shirt?
- 42:02SPEAKER_10: Is it just shirts only?
- 42:04SPEAKER_10: Is it pants?
- 42:04SPEAKER_10: Like what kind of sweaters?
- 42:06SPEAKER_14: Mainly I specialize in uh top garments, men's and women's, um, hoodies, shirts, tank tops.
- 42:14SPEAKER_14: Um, I have other equipment.
- 42:17SPEAKER_14: I have different types of printers depending on the surface.
- 42:20SPEAKER_14: Um, I have uh like I can make mugs, I can print on metal, uh, but the store now it's pretty much my art prints.
- 42:29SPEAKER_14: Like I do have a a company that prints a really high quality ink on a on a nice canvas wood frame.
- 42:37SPEAKER_14: Um so it's pretty much like my art prints.
- 42:40SPEAKER_14: Um there's hats, embroidered stuff, um, but most of the stuff uh is done is done by me.
- 42:47SPEAKER_14: Um so if you get something, um the art prints, I don't print those myself.
- 42:53SPEAKER_14: Uh I actually have a company do that, but it's it's all my stuff.
- 42:56SPEAKER_20: Okay, wow, that's pretty good.
- 42:58SPEAKER_14: But there's other stuff.
- 42:59SPEAKER_14: There's um I have these Halloween collections that I do.
- 43:03SPEAKER_14: Um, those are actually being worked on right now and will be coming out soon.
- 43:08SPEAKER_14: Um you'll see some of the 2025 Halloween stuff.
- 43:12SPEAKER_14: And last year, you know, Halloween, timeline-wise, that's when the um, you know, the white paper was released.
- 43:23SPEAKER_14: And so the Halloween collection is really about the origins of Bitcoin.
- 43:29SPEAKER_14: Last year it was about Satoshi and the white paper in different forms.
- 43:33SPEAKER_14: Um, there's a lot of things.
- 43:37SPEAKER_14: Yeah.
- 43:38SPEAKER_14: There's a lot of things that like like my goal is for people to okay, once they realize that hey, maybe I like that design, but why is it have that on there?
- 43:49SPEAKER_14: Or on the Federal Reserve, you see my my octopus with the badger eaten into it.
- 43:54SPEAKER_14: Why is there a duck in there?
- 43:57SPEAKER_14: And and you'll then you'll start to.
- 44:00SPEAKER_14: Understand, okay.
- 44:00SPEAKER_14: Well, the story with the Federal Reserve, and like there's a lot of deeper meaning.
- 44:04SPEAKER_14: Like, I want people to ask questions, yeah, and and find it as like an avenue to learn more because there's it's so broad, and like not one of us is gonna understand this enough alone.
- 44:17SPEAKER_14: You really need to you know the the word communities cringe, you know, in in the Bitcoin space, but you do need some type of network um to to help your learning, and yeah, it takes time.
- 44:32SPEAKER_13: I think 2026 is the year for circular economies.
- 44:36SPEAKER_13: That's that's what I'm hoping.
- 44:38SPEAKER_09: Nice.
- 44:40SPEAKER_10: I just want to listen to Gen X all day.
- 44:42SPEAKER_10: Oh my gosh.
- 44:44SPEAKER_10: It's like so insightful and deep and like the meaning and how like like one I feel like one clue leads to another clue, and then you're just like now you're asking questions and you can't figure it out, so now you're gonna go ask you need to ask someone who like who like it think deep or be like, yeah, think of it like this way.
- 45:02SPEAKER_10: But yeah, it's so it's so that's so good.
- 45:05SPEAKER_05: But you're such a great example of being a lifelong learner, and then you're also uh like putting that into your clothing of like and your your your your products that you are going to continue to learn whether you want to or not, you're gonna learn something new by wearing my apparel, and so I just think that's that's a very uh you know kind of an under the layer there of what you've been trying to do yourself, and then also putting that into your products too.
- 45:32SPEAKER_05: That's really cool.
- 45:34SPEAKER_14: Yeah, for sure.
- 45:34SPEAKER_14: I mean, everybody has their own talent or wisdom that they're bringing, and everybody has something to offer.
- 45:43SPEAKER_14: People have different ways of conveying that things have changed a lot, especially on like X.
- 45:48SPEAKER_14: We used to actually do a lot of education, and people just weren't really so into it.
- 45:54SPEAKER_14: And you know, when some of the events most recently that have happened, it caught a lot of people off guard because they didn't come in the same way as other people.
- 46:02SPEAKER_14: Um, so you know, my goal is just to I have my own way of sparking curiosity and hoping that people, you know, find it an interesting way to learn.
- 46:14SPEAKER_13: The mission of Bitcoin Video Magazine is to bring that fun back in the learning and illustrate it like in your face, like you're gonna learn this because you want to learn it.
- 46:25SPEAKER_13: You have to learn that.
- 46:26SPEAKER_13: Don't miss, don't be missing out.
- 46:28SPEAKER_13: That's that's how the chapters roll around from like with Josh the Mexican magician, that would be our pleb profile, and then we would have a tech deck, which we might explain.
- 46:41SPEAKER_01: Hi, my name is Emily, and I know nothing about Bitcoin.
- 46:44SPEAKER_01: Today we're going to be creating a non-fisodial Bitcoin wallet.
- 46:47SPEAKER_13: Uh, how to get your wallets off an exchange and into self-custody.
- 46:53SPEAKER_13: Um, actually, Because is doing the next tech deck on the Byzantine Generals problem, and I'm super excited about that.
- 47:01SPEAKER_13: Uh mining and energy.
- 47:03SPEAKER_13: Mining and energy is is such an important aspect of uh of Bitcoin.
- 47:08SPEAKER_13: Here, I'll just show you a quick clip of uh who was on the last episode on uh Bitcoin mining.
- 47:14SPEAKER_19: I wanted to come to you with a breakdown of one of the most important parts of Bitcoin mining, and that's mining pools.
- 47:22SPEAKER_19: If you're new to the space and recently started mining, maybe with something like a BitAx Gamma or maybe even like a BitMade S19, understanding how mining pools work is key to your success.
- 47:37SPEAKER_19: Mining Bitcoin on your own, known as solo mining, is like playing the lottery.
- 47:41SPEAKER_19: Yes, you might win big, but most people will mine for years and never find a blog.
- 47:49SPEAKER_13: Dude, that's so good.
- 47:50SPEAKER_13: That is so good.
- 47:52SPEAKER_13: So, you know, you're looking at this stuff and you're like, dude, these guys are clowns or freaks or whatever, but you know, you actually learn what mining is about and how to start mining and things like this.
- 48:03SPEAKER_13: And um, you know, I think these are all things that we're all passionate about, and to be able to be able to share that education and be well-rounded, it just brings up the community.
- 48:14SPEAKER_13: And like, like I said, we I think we have to kind of go back to those cypherpunk roots, just remember where we came from and what our purpose is, and it's not number go up, maybe the first chapter is, but then after the first chapter, there's so much more.
- 48:29SPEAKER_13: And uh, so we're we're doing some kind of ridiculous things.
- 48:34SPEAKER_13: One of the ridiculous things are our bumpers.
- 48:37SPEAKER_13: So our bumpers are like maybe a minute long, and so uh I I brought to the group and to uh Gen X and these and these guys, I'm like, man, I'm all what are some bumpers that would be really fun?
- 48:49SPEAKER_13: And I actually shared one with Anthony and hopefully he shared one with that with you, Danielle, the the noob corner or something like this, right?
- 48:57SPEAKER_13: But one of those is a Bitcoin glossary, right?
- 49:00SPEAKER_13: Because there's all kinds of words that may mean this, may mean that.
- 49:04SPEAKER_13: So if you guys want to see too pretty funny, our interpretation of how of how we should share the glossary, this is what we came up with here.
- 49:26SPEAKER_21: Your secret code, the guardian of your big coin, madam share.
- 49:38SPEAKER_21: It's the whisper that unlocks your wealth hidden deep.
- 49:58SPEAKER_04: Satoshi, the smallest unit of Bitcoin named after its mysterious creator.
- 50:12SPEAKER_04: One Bitcoin equals one hundred million Satoshi like tiny whisper whispers of value.
- 50:29SPEAKER_05: That's awesome.
- 50:30SPEAKER_05: I think what you guys are doing is so cool because I think that's what I think people need this, you know.
- 50:36SPEAKER_05: I think it's something that when you're saying glossary, it made me think.
- 50:39SPEAKER_05: I don't know if you've talked to Lindy McGee.
- 50:41SPEAKER_05: She created a a children's book for Bitcoin, and she has a whole glossary in that book.
- 50:46SPEAKER_05: And I'm like, where was this when I first started?
- 50:49SPEAKER_05: I'm like, where is this thing?
- 50:51SPEAKER_05: This is like I still look back in there sometimes and I'm like, okay, wait, let me just make sure I got this right.
- 50:56SPEAKER_05: No, it's but you know what's uh this is such a niche in a way because it's um a lot of people need those short clips, you know, those short ideas of shit that's kind of what's going on in our our society, right?
- 51:10SPEAKER_05: So it's very helpful for that quick learning.
- 51:13SPEAKER_05: Um they're on their phones or watching these things, anyways.
- 51:17SPEAKER_05: Why not learn something while you're doing that?
- 51:19SPEAKER_05: And so, and you've made it very entertaining and also just super unique.
- 51:25SPEAKER_05: That's what I would say.
- 51:26SPEAKER_05: Very unique to what um it is.
- 51:28SPEAKER_05: So I think I just think what this is is so cool.
- 51:31SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 51:32SPEAKER_13: So this is essentially what you're looking at in uh when you watch it.
- 51:36SPEAKER_13: In a 60 minutes, every every show is about 60 minutes, and you got eight chapters.
- 51:42SPEAKER_13: So after the uh tech deck, you would have a bitcoin bitcoin mining and energy, and then a company profile, and then the last is community before the credit.
- 51:54SPEAKER_13: But most importantly, what our goal is is to make this uh these we want to decentralize the media and make this like a user, uh a user contributed uh project and like just a big old incubator for creators, and so we put together uh a contributor media kit that um that we pay every that we'll pay contributors and sats.
- 52:21SPEAKER_13: You know like right now we don't have that much of a budget, but you know what, we'll still pay in Bitcoin for sections, whether it's we have three different categories, whether it's raw, so we'll take raw footage and we'll put something together with it and edit it, and then we'll pay by the second, because you can pay enlightening sats by the second.
- 52:40SPEAKER_13: Um, so if if I get raw footage and I put it put together, or Joe or Bazooka puts together two minutes and 46 seconds, then uh you know it's like I forget how many sats it is.
- 52:52SPEAKER_13: It depends.
- 52:53SPEAKER_13: We want to start setting the price in sats and carry that to the so let's say it's$20 a minute for raw footage and it's$45 a minute for edited footage, and then you have super edited footage, which is like Bitcoin video magazine style section, it's done.
- 53:10SPEAKER_13: We don't even have to touch it, which is like$75 a minute.
- 53:14SPEAKER_13: And um, anyways, um those those can be all broken down, but we want and this will get better as we grow and as we develop a budget, and as we have more subscribers, we have more viewers, and you know, we want to represent every single corner of the world, and uh and and and that's that's how we want to grow this.
- 53:36SPEAKER_13: We want everyone to be so excited about it.
- 53:38SPEAKER_13: One of the one of the most um longstanding and successful TV shows was America's funniest home video.
- 53:46SPEAKER_13: You guys remember that?
- 53:47SPEAKER_13: Yeah, and they had such low overhead because they're like, hey, we'll give away, you know, ten thousand dollars at the end of the show to the best video or a hundred thousand dollars or at the end of the year, once a year they'd give away like a million dollars.
- 54:01SPEAKER_13: And so they're just getting hours upon hours and hours of footage.
- 54:06SPEAKER_13: But with us, I'm like, well, we have to let's reward everybody, and uh what we want to do is lock in that twenty dollars worth of sats, which if that's um you know, if that's uh 32,000 sats right now, or something like that per minute, then we'll lock that in into the next episode, and then we'll readjust at that time.
- 54:30SPEAKER_13: So building up the market might go like this, like this and like this, but one Bitcoin is one Bitcoin, and if you're stacking to get closer to your goal, that's gonna be another way to stack to get closer to your goal.
- 54:42SPEAKER_13: So that's really cool.
- 54:44SPEAKER_10: So, how long would that's that's amazing, Tim?
- 54:46SPEAKER_10: So, how long uh does it take for you guys like coordinating and like putting up a full uh uh issue?
- 54:56SPEAKER_13: It's like about 150 or 200 hours of editing, right?
- 55:02SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 55:03SPEAKER_13: Something like that for one hour of what you get of what you want, something like that, right?
- 55:09SPEAKER_10: And and then um and for in the future, right?
- 55:12SPEAKER_10: So I know you want this to grow.
- 55:14SPEAKER_10: So, like how many people do you would are you like you thinking it can get to like in your guys' future now, right?
- 55:21SPEAKER_13: In two years, we will be the number one show in all of the Bitcoin space because we'll be the go-to that the plebs, the the maxis, the veterans, everyone loves, but the but it's approachable for the noobs.
- 55:36SPEAKER_13: And the noobs can come in and see what's going on, and what we'll be doing is we'll be um contracting out sections on MSMs and and things like that.
- 55:46SPEAKER_13: And in two years, what bazooka and I uh say MSM is gonna be is what do we call it, bazooka?
- 55:54SPEAKER_15: Super cable.
- 55:56unknown: Nice.
- 55:58SPEAKER_13: Yeah, we'll be on super cable in two to three years.
- 56:02SPEAKER_13: So this year we're focusing on increasing our frequency to uh bi-monthly consistently.
- 56:09SPEAKER_13: Next year we'll focus on getting that to monthly, and in 2028, we're gonna be bi-weekly.
- 56:16SPEAKER_13: Um, and eventually we'll go, we'll have a one-hour weekly show of this caliber or better that covers those entire spaces on uh major network or networks or cable, super cable, whatever.
- 56:32SPEAKER_13: Nice.
- 56:33SPEAKER_13: And go ahead, sorry.
- 56:35SPEAKER_13: No, no, go ahead, Tim.
- 56:36SPEAKER_13: So I was gonna say one of the things that we're that we're doing is we're trying to drive people to um participate as well.
- 56:46SPEAKER_13: One of the things that when that that when Gen X was talking that I I wanted to mention but didn't is that uh you know you could set up numerous Bitcoin wallets or many wallets in one wallet, and it's not just about savings and spending.
- 57:01SPEAKER_13: There's three categories there's savings, there's spending, and then there's spending in Bitcoin.
- 57:06SPEAKER_13: And when you open up this category, if you manage that, you can DCA everything in your life.
- 57:13SPEAKER_13: So, for instance, I had a pair of Bitcoin Converse that were really unique that I thought, wow, those things are so cool, but they were like 120 bucks.
- 57:21SPEAKER_13: And I'm like, there's no way I'm spending$120 on Converse that I grew up skateboarding and that it's you know blew through in a month that I was spending, you know, maybe 30 bucks on.
- 57:32SPEAKER_13: But you know what?
- 57:32SPEAKER_13: They're so cool that I would spend eighty dollars on.
- 57:37SPEAKER_13: And so I opened a wallet specifically for those, put eighty dollars worth of Bitcoin in that wallet, and uh one day I'm checking it and it's like$122.
- 57:48SPEAKER_13: I'm like, dude, that's my shoes, and so I dollar cost average those shoes.
- 57:53SPEAKER_13: I put$80 in, but now the Bitcoin is worth$122.
- 57:58SPEAKER_13: So I bought the$120 Converse and I didn't go over my budget or anything like that.
- 58:03SPEAKER_13: I DCA'd into them.
- 58:04SPEAKER_10: Cool, nice, nice.
- 58:06SPEAKER_10: No, that's really good.
- 58:07SPEAKER_13: Part of part of our website um and part of our whole program is that education heavy side.
- 58:14SPEAKER_13: Uh, we're gonna utilize QR codes and other things necessary to go into even deeper dives.
- 58:22SPEAKER_13: Here's a little just a little teaser from our Bitcoin pizza day.
- 58:26SPEAKER_09: Uh, Bitcoin army.
- 59:05SPEAKER_13: Oh, I'll just play this as well.
- 59:06SPEAKER_13: This is another bumper.
- 59:08SPEAKER_13: It's just a flip of it.
- 59:13SPEAKER_16: Counterfeit currency creates a counterfeit kingdom.
- 59:16SPEAKER_16: This is why everything feels so fake.
- 59:28SPEAKER_13: So yeah.
- 59:30SPEAKER_05: That's really awesome.
- 59:32SPEAKER_05: What you're what you guys are doing.
- 59:33SPEAKER_05: I think this is like I said, I'm I am in awe of this whole when you uh he had mentioned when we were gonna meet with you guys a Bitcoin video magazine, and I'm like, what is I can't even wrap my head around this, right?
- 59:46SPEAKER_13: Does it make sense?
- 59:48SPEAKER_05: It totally makes sense, and it's so awesome.
- 59:51SPEAKER_05: I literally was like, I'm trying to understand the words that are coming out of your mouth, but I'm not understanding.
- 59:56SPEAKER_05: And then he I was able to look at all the clips you sent him, Tim.
- 1:00:00SPEAKER_05: And I go, wait, and then I just kept going deeper into it, and I was just like, oh my gosh, this is so helpful.
- 1:00:06SPEAKER_05: Like it's unique, right?
- 1:00:08SPEAKER_05: It's different, it's like out of you know what you would normally see of more of an educational formal education, but it's in in engaging, and um, I think how you guys have done it is super awesome, and you've been able to work together with everyone's you know, own talents and all over the world, and you guys getting to meet from you know other Bitcoiners all over the world.
- 1:00:31SPEAKER_09: I just think this is like this is this is really cool.
- 1:00:34SPEAKER_05: Are there any other I guess and well, I don't think so.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_05: Any other video magazines for Bitcoin?
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_13: No, for Bitcoin, absolutely not.
- 1:00:43SPEAKER_13: This is definitely the first of its kind.
- 1:00:45SPEAKER_03: Honestly, I'm I'm with you.
- 1:00:47SPEAKER_03: I I then you know, I kind of it took me a second to like grasp it in my head too.
- 1:00:53SPEAKER_05: I often feel like I live under a rock.
- 1:00:55SPEAKER_03: So no, I don't feel like there's another one that there isn't something like this that I'm aware of that that's like taking that whole issue status and chapter kind of thing, some like story movie stuff.
- 1:01:10SPEAKER_03: Like sometimes when people remake movies or stories, they try to implement that a little bit.
- 1:01:15SPEAKER_03: But again, those are like a one-off thing.
- 1:01:17SPEAKER_03: Like I it but again, it took me a minute to get it too.
- 1:01:20SPEAKER_05: So yeah, I mean, because there's a layout.
- 1:01:23SPEAKER_05: I mean, there's a layout, so when you as again, as I'm like you know, going through the magazines visually, right?
- 1:01:30SPEAKER_05: I'm like, oh, there's actual in a regular magazine, there would be a chapter about this, there'd be a chapter about this, there'd be a chapter about this.
- 1:01:37SPEAKER_13: Some ads, some articles, yeah.
- 1:01:39SPEAKER_05: Right, right, exactly.
- 1:01:41SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
- 1:01:43SPEAKER_05: This is all this is so cool.
- 1:01:44SPEAKER_05: I love I love what you guys are doing.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_03: And I'll I'll say this too.
- 1:01:49SPEAKER_03: Gen X did an awesome thing.
- 1:01:51SPEAKER_03: He was mentioning the contributors, and we're really looking forward to that too, is to like get people like again from all over the world to like be part of it too, you know.
- 1:02:02SPEAKER_03: Um so and and Gen X a great thing.
- 1:02:05SPEAKER_03: If you go to the website, I think right now you can upload, right?
- 1:02:08SPEAKER_03: Is that correct?
- 1:02:10SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:02:11SPEAKER_03: So like if you've got something, your story you want to share, even if it's like this is how I found Bitcoin, this is how I got in, or this is why, or maybe you can talk about that more, Tim, or Gen X or whoever, just about like some of the things we're actually looking for, because this their show would be a great board.
- 1:02:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:02:29SPEAKER_03: I would show you.
- 1:02:31SPEAKER_13: For anyone out there that wanted that has a story that Bitcoin on the streets is kind of the perfect place.
- 1:02:37SPEAKER_13: It's in our community chapter, it's kind of a sub chapter uh with circular economies and Bitcoin on the streets.
- 1:02:44SPEAKER_13: And this would be uh an example of someone who sent in, and we're giving we we we're giving away shirts, we're giving away prizes.
- 1:02:52SPEAKER_13: Our sponsors um just uh stamp seed just give gave away a beautiful new stamp seed uh set uh with with um you know titanium um plates and stuff like that.
- 1:03:04SPEAKER_13: And so this guy sent uh Satoshi Steve sent raw footage and is like, hey, I went to Steak and Shake and uh, you know, I talked to the manager there and stuff.
- 1:03:16SPEAKER_13: What do you can you do anything with this?
- 1:03:18SPEAKER_13: It's you know, he's like, Can you do anything with that?
- 1:03:20SPEAKER_13: I'm like, I'm like, yes, as a matter of fact, we can.
- 1:03:24SPEAKER_13: And so I'll show you a little bit of that real quick, and then uh, and then we'll do one more with uh with uh Bitcoin Manny.
- 1:03:39SPEAKER_02: Okay, we're at staking shake in Victorville, California.
- 1:03:44SPEAKER_02: I purchased this with Bitcoin today.
- 1:03:51SPEAKER_02: This is the manager, and I'm gonna ask a couple questions.
- 1:03:57SPEAKER_13: We'll be giving away free prizes from our sponsors to our Bitcoin Video Magazine audience.
- 1:04:08SPEAKER_17: Alright, hey, so what causes inflation?
- 1:04:11SPEAKER_17: Uh things that can affect it, like we increase minimum wage, costs of goods go up to like compensate for that, and then we keep like increasing wages to uh afford things, but then people don't want to make profits to keep just like playing this game with things like going up and down.
- 1:04:25SPEAKER_17: That is a great answer.
- 1:04:26SPEAKER_17: Hey, thank you very much for taking the time.
- 1:04:29SPEAKER_13: Okay, so I'm gonna I'm gonna give a quick uh I'm gonna give a quick we're ridiculous people, okay?
- 1:04:38SPEAKER_13: It's uh this is like one of our sponsors, this is more or less the conversation I have with uh one of the early sponsors, this is like six months before we watch.
- 1:04:50SPEAKER_11: Hey, what's up, like Bitcoin video based?
- 1:04:56SPEAKER_11: Bitcoin video sponsored of uh Bitcoin video series curves.
- 1:05:09SPEAKER_11: I don't know about a robust.
- 1:05:23SPEAKER_10: Who are you?
- 1:05:25SPEAKER_10: Calling me.
- 1:05:30SPEAKER_10: So fun.
- 1:05:31SPEAKER_10: No, this is gonna be great.
- 1:05:33SPEAKER_10: This is gonna be so good.
- 1:05:34SPEAKER_10: I'm so excited to watch your guys' journey and like how you guys grow over the next couple years.
- 1:05:39SPEAKER_10: So cool.
- 1:05:40SPEAKER_10: There's no and there's no one that does it, even come close to it.
- 1:05:43SPEAKER_05: I feel honored that you guys wanted to come on our podcast to join.
- 1:05:47SPEAKER_13: We we're plebs and we're and we're we want to grow with plebs.
- 1:05:51SPEAKER_13: We want to start from the bottom and bring everyone up with us, and like and and likewise, we're all one team, and we just all need to act like one.
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_13: Team together.
- 1:06:03SPEAKER_14: There's a um there's something I I say now and then um you look at like people have come in come to Bitcoin at different times from different perspectives for different reasons and it's so overwhelming from everything that we were raised to to know and it's a stark contrast and it's like only those willing to you know look at things differently or accept maybe that some things that I I was taught um aren't as they really were advertised and that's a difficult thing to like break the foundation of some things it's scary, it's harder, and but at the same time, nobody's older than 17 years old understanding Bitcoin.
- 1:06:53SPEAKER_14: Like to keep that in perspective that you'll hear me, you know, on some of the technical conversations or others, and it's like it seems like so far away, but everybody started at the same point, and there's some people who they matriculate really fast in one area and others in another in a different one.
- 1:07:15SPEAKER_14: But the thing that I liked about when the team brought you know this project was you see these phases, most people that were got in early, they're gone.
- 1:07:29SPEAKER_14: Like there's not that many here to carry on that knowledge.
- 1:07:32SPEAKER_14: There's few people, and you know, next year there's gonna be even less as you have more people kind of cycle in and people cycle out, and this is all just finite.
- 1:07:44SPEAKER_14: So you've got a limited amount of time to access this information, and one of the biggest challenges we have, I'm like uh I'm the younger end of the Gen Xers, like almost millennial.
- 1:07:56SPEAKER_14: And for me to even talk to another Gen Xer is like I'm speaking in totally different language, even if they came up the same as me, maybe had some similar struggles in life, successes, not just monetary.
- 1:08:10SPEAKER_14: And take advantage of this because you know, you you hear people talk about think of your Bitcoin stack not as its its energy and its power today, but what that is ten years from now.
- 1:08:26SPEAKER_14: And you really treat it differently and treat the people that you have access to and people that have some alignment on just values.
- 1:08:35SPEAKER_14: And and this isn't, yeah, like people are into number go up.
- 1:08:40SPEAKER_14: That that's really hard to deny, but as Tim said, like there's a lot outside of that, and the the more that people study it oftentimes, not always, the more that they see like, wow, I was born at this time just out of luck.
- 1:08:58SPEAKER_14: But but the whole rest of it is not luck, because this is a hard path, and people are gonna ask you 10-20 years from now, regardless of whatever the state of Bitcoin is, what was it like?
- 1:09:11SPEAKER_14: And and you're here now, so yeah, if that helps kind of keep things in perspective, and just the alignment that you have with people today, like to put to put a team together to work on something, we're so few.
- 1:09:26SPEAKER_14: Yeah, like like go out, go to the grocery store and find try and find one person that you know what I mean.
- 1:09:33SPEAKER_14: It the odds are pretty slim.
- 1:09:35SPEAKER_14: So uh take advantage of the people that you have access to to share, to learn, uh, and be humble and uh yeah, think about it like you would in the future.
- 1:09:45SPEAKER_10: Yeah, dude, that's so good, Ginax.
- 1:09:48SPEAKER_10: Like, because you know you said like, oh, like uh a little bit of things, right?
- 1:09:53SPEAKER_10: Where we're like breaking the foundation of like how we grew up, but it's literally everything was a lie.
- 1:10:00SPEAKER_10: Everything was a lie.
- 1:10:02SPEAKER_10: To education, to the food, um to everything.
- 1:10:05SPEAKER_10: I could go on forever to to everything, the money, uh, the value, what we go to work for, and how like they're just like we're just like modern, we're just like slaves and like in these modern chains.
- 1:10:17SPEAKER_10: And how everyone just walks around like a zombie, like in slow motion, like thinking this is normal, and how like in how everything is, it's it's really like it gets it really humbles you because you realize that you've been lying your whole life, and you're just like, there's no way, there's no way.
- 1:10:35SPEAKER_10: And then, like you said, you go and you do your reading and you do your research, and you're like, wow, like this is all like they're just like they're they're just treating us like pieces of dirt.
- 1:10:45SPEAKER_10: And what's crazy is like every time I go and I read a book or I listen to a podcast, and I'm like, wow, like that's like that's real.
- 1:10:53SPEAKER_10: Oh my gosh, and then I'll just like buy a shit ton of Bitcoin.
- 1:10:58SPEAKER_14: It makes me so mad.
- 1:11:00SPEAKER_10: I'm like, dude, this is crazy.
- 1:11:02SPEAKER_14: Yeah, the challenge to like uh watching The Matrix hits different after you've after you you've studied Bitcoin, and and it's what's interesting is that path that one takes, like you'll hear people reference you know, Wizard of Oz.
- 1:11:18SPEAKER_14: Some people they don't want to look what's behind the curtain, even though they could.
- 1:11:24SPEAKER_14: It's just too much of a foundational break in their mind for them for them to do that.
- 1:11:29SPEAKER_14: And the challenge for us, every generation has their own challenges.
- 1:11:33SPEAKER_14: I think about like the the young men who were getting off boats during World War II just getting lit up straight out of high school, and the you know, the women and their role in war, like the women of your country needed to do some things very differently, like you have to adapt.
- 1:11:55SPEAKER_14: And there's a challenge that we have in that we're not really gonna be so much the beneficiaries to me of all of us.
- 1:12:06SPEAKER_14: Um it's gonna be the people later, and that's a hard thing because we have to live in the fiat world and challenge these think these thoughts and things that we were raised to believe, and try and do whatever we can for our families, for our community.
- 1:12:23SPEAKER_14: That's a really tall order to have to think about after the fight when you're in the fight.
- 1:12:30SPEAKER_14: And and that's that's where we're at, you know.
- 1:12:32SPEAKER_10: Yeah, yeah, that's so that's so good.
- 1:12:35SPEAKER_10: It's so good.
- 1:12:35SPEAKER_10: It's wild how it's wild with how Bitcoin makes you think like literally outside the box.
- 1:12:42SPEAKER_10: Like we're like, we're out, we're way outside the box.
- 1:12:45SPEAKER_10: We are way outside the box.
- 1:12:46SPEAKER_10: People look at it.
- 1:12:47SPEAKER_10: I always tell people too, like, we think so futuristic that it's they can't even comprehend it.
- 1:12:53SPEAKER_10: Like there's they're they're they're they're they're like, what are you guys talking about?
- 1:12:56SPEAKER_10: What are you guys doing?
- 1:12:57SPEAKER_10: Scam, pyramid scheme.
- 1:12:59SPEAKER_10: I'm just like, dude, what are we what are you talking about?
- 1:13:01SPEAKER_10: There's literally a pyramid on your dollar.
- 1:13:03SPEAKER_10: What are you talking about?
- 1:13:04SPEAKER_10: Like, you just go, you uh, you know, uh I sorry, I tried, I threw that in there, Gen X, for you.
- 1:13:10SPEAKER_10: I know you're all about the symbols.
- 1:13:11SPEAKER_14: Um, you should see the Federal Reserve Collection.
- 1:13:14SPEAKER_14: Oh, it's so bad.
- 1:13:15SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 1:13:16SPEAKER_10: Um, but yeah, I just wanted to uh yeah, again, this is I know I got that too from River.
- 1:13:22SPEAKER_10: I got that from River.
- 1:13:25SPEAKER_10: Crazy.
- 1:13:26SPEAKER_10: It's wild.
- 1:13:26SPEAKER_10: That's wild.
- 1:13:27SPEAKER_10: We did uh we did uh a podcast recently with Paula uh from the Bitcoin Edge.
- 1:13:33SPEAKER_10: Um I'm not sure if you guys are familiar with her.
- 1:13:35SPEAKER_10: She's amazing, she's from Zimbabwe, and she she felt the inflation and saw that and moved over to uh you know the United States and stuff like that.
- 1:13:44SPEAKER_10: So she didn't get to she saw both sides and she's like wow.
- 1:13:48SPEAKER_10: Uh it's just a huge transformation, a huge a huge mind shift.
- 1:13:52SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 1:13:52SPEAKER_14: Um Tony, can I say real something super quick?
- 1:13:56SPEAKER_10: Yeah, of course.
- 1:13:57SPEAKER_14: Um, I just want to say about Bitcoin Video Magazine, we're still at this stage where a lot of people I get this question a lot, a lot of other people do.
- 1:14:08SPEAKER_14: Like, give me one resource to go learn.
- 1:14:12SPEAKER_14: And it's really hard, it's vast.
- 1:14:16SPEAKER_14: Um, each one, like there's breadth and then there's depth.
- 1:14:20SPEAKER_14: And one thing that I really liked about about Bitcoin Video Magazine, or really any team, is we're helping like consolidate information in a digestible way.
- 1:14:34SPEAKER_14: And as you know, as time has gone by, there's people that usually from the TradFi who think maxies are delusional, and it's like, well, we have different goals.
- 1:14:44SPEAKER_14: And I don't think that we're really that we really need to align.
- 1:14:48SPEAKER_14: But what I do know is that if we if people aren't able to get the education or have different delivery options because people absorb differently, um we need people to understand how Bitcoin works.
- 1:15:03SPEAKER_14: It doesn't have to be super, super deep for everybody, but without that, you start to have concerns about the life of this protocol when it's just controlled by governments or corporations.
- 1:15:15SPEAKER_14: And so that's the thing I I think I appreciate about this team is it's taking a lot of information and consolidating it to be digestible for people.
- 1:15:26SPEAKER_14: Maybe not everybody, but it's there.
- 1:15:29SPEAKER_14: And especially now you have new cohorts coming in, um, older people with more capital.
- 1:15:36SPEAKER_14: You know, they're in here now, but they're not all as interested.
- 1:15:41SPEAKER_14: But the younger people will be because they're coming up with some struggles that my boomer parents some of them didn't, you know, some of them had, some of them didn't.
- 1:15:50SPEAKER_14: But this isn't like this isn't Candyland and Shoots and Ladders.
- 1:15:55SPEAKER_14: This is like this is like 3D chess, and you've got one pawn, and that's what we're playing with.
- 1:16:01SPEAKER_10: Yeah, that is so good.
- 1:16:03SPEAKER_10: That is so good too because I think Gen Z, um, we talked to a bunch of we've had a bunch of Gen Z's on our podcast, and I think that they're gonna be the ones that are really gonna shift everything because they're the ones that's getting the worst of the debasement, they're the ones that are like realizing like wow, this this traditional system that everyone's grown up with that's that's older than us, like we cannot participate in this anymore.
- 1:16:26SPEAKER_10: And I really think they're just gonna and they're if you really think about it too, their whole entire life has been uh digital, yeah, right?
- 1:16:33SPEAKER_10: Except what their money.
- 1:16:35SPEAKER_10: And so you know what they're like, dude, we we're we're done, like scrap this whole game up.
- 1:16:39SPEAKER_10: Don't know how it's gonna look like.
- 1:16:41SPEAKER_10: Um, but I whether it's like five, ten, twenty, you know, I in you know, listening to you, Gen X, it sounds like it's gonna be down the road.
- 1:16:50SPEAKER_10: Either way, it doesn't matter.
- 1:16:51SPEAKER_10: I still think it's gonna something's gonna happen.
- 1:16:53SPEAKER_10: There has to be like a pivotal moment, a black swan, or or it happens slowly.
- 1:16:59SPEAKER_10: Either way, um something has to happen because this is not sustainable at all, the way that the the route that we're going.
- 1:17:07SPEAKER_10: You see these videos on on on uh way more frequently now on on X.
- 1:17:12SPEAKER_10: I'm rarely on Instagram, like X is uh I'm on mostly X, but you see these stories of these girls and these guys are like man, I can't pay for this, like I'm working two jobs.
- 1:17:21SPEAKER_10: Like, how do people even make a living?
- 1:17:23SPEAKER_10: Like, how do we videos?
- 1:17:24SPEAKER_05: I have those conversations in real life.
- 1:17:26SPEAKER_10: Yeah, well, um yeah, in real life too.
- 1:17:28SPEAKER_10: But I'm saying, like, also like you just see like I don't know, you when they like they just like have a moment where like, man, I can't pay my student loans, I can't pay my rent, I work two jobs, and it's like, man, if they just think outside the box and like man, like let me this obviously is not working.
- 1:17:45SPEAKER_10: Like, let me take a step back and like you know, take a bird's eye view of everything and see how I can like maybe pivot because a lot of people were trained in school, we're trained to just hey, uh, this is how it works, and like just do it.
- 1:17:58SPEAKER_10: You know, we call it the life song go to school, get a job, get a degree, get a degree so you can get a good job, so you can get married and buy a house.
- 1:18:06SPEAKER_10: Like that does not exist anymore, yeah, at all.
- 1:18:10SPEAKER_10: Yeah, like that is like those days are our parents' days, um, where they're buying car, they're buying stuff for like 10 cents, right?
- 1:18:19SPEAKER_10: Like, it's just crazy.
- 1:18:20SPEAKER_05: But that's like goes into like what Gen X was saying was you know, it's it's scary to even think that way for a lot of people, you know.
- 1:18:28SPEAKER_05: They're like, holy crap, like everything that I went through, or I've like was taught by my parents is a lie, you know, or it's like totally shifting, or you know, you're you're just it's a total mindset shift.
- 1:18:41SPEAKER_05: Um, and it's very hard to swallow because I remember when he was going through his process of learning more about Bitcoin, I was not ready to.
- 1:18:51SPEAKER_05: Um, and so just watching him, I remember all these light bulbs like firing off in his brain.
- 1:18:57SPEAKER_05: Like I remember he was just going, and I this probably happens to everybody, right?
- 1:19:00SPEAKER_05: But it was just like light bulbs just exploding, and he was just like, Did you can you you know?
- 1:19:08SPEAKER_05: And it was just like never heard it was like this.
- 1:19:10SPEAKER_10: It was like I was like, This is crazy.
- 1:19:14SPEAKER_10: It's crazy, and and then I'm like, and then I'm like, hey, I know this is crazy, but like I'm literally dumping everything into this, like it had this is the way, like this is the way, and it it started grab it started like very like uh gradually, and then it was like, and then suddenly then suddenly Anthony.
- 1:19:33SPEAKER_14: You mentioned or Danielle, you mentioned something really important, like a lot of people they're too busy just trying to keep their nose above water to look anywhere else, and that's um that's I think the most people they they find validation when they see somebody who's already achieved you know whatever they define as success.
- 1:19:58SPEAKER_14: Usually it's like monetary, like you don't have to worry about anything financially, but what they don't know is that as you said, like that was a different game board, and I have to do things in a different way for this time.
- 1:20:11SPEAKER_14: Um there's a movie.
- 1:20:13SPEAKER_14: Uh, this is a quiz for you guys.
- 1:20:15SPEAKER_14: I will ask you later.
- 1:20:17SPEAKER_14: Uh it's my own, it's my only ask.
- 1:20:19SPEAKER_14: Um I have to think.
- 1:20:21SPEAKER_14: It's called the movie's called Cocoon.
- 1:20:25SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 1:20:25SPEAKER_14: And it's from the 80s.
- 1:20:27SPEAKER_09: Uh-huh.
- 1:20:28SPEAKER_14: Please watch that movie.
- 1:20:30SPEAKER_14: And then some point uh you see me on a space or whatever.
- 1:20:35SPEAKER_14: Um, I'd like I'm curious to see what correlations you find to Bitcoin.
- 1:20:40SPEAKER_10: One more time.
- 1:20:40SPEAKER_10: It's called the Cocoon.
- 1:20:42SPEAKER_10: It's in the 80s.
- 1:20:43SPEAKER_10: Just cocoon.
- 1:20:44SPEAKER_10: Yep.
- 1:20:45SPEAKER_10: And what's your question though?
- 1:20:46SPEAKER_10: What was your question?
- 1:20:48SPEAKER_14: I just I want you guys to watch the movie and then think about from a Bitcoin lens when you see the cast, how they behave, what the story was about, what correlations you might see to today and people understanding Bitcoin.
- 1:21:05SPEAKER_10: Nice.
- 1:21:06SPEAKER_10: I'm excited.
- 1:21:07SPEAKER_10: I'm I got homework.
- 1:21:12SPEAKER_14: It's a good work, man.
- 1:21:13SPEAKER_14: Nothing's free here.
- 1:21:14SPEAKER_14: Yeah.
- 1:21:15SPEAKER_13: You guys, from a historical standpoint to support what you all have all been talking about, um, in terms of Bitcoin Google searches around the world and Bitcoin adoption around the world, it has always been for the last 15 years in the countries that have had the highest uh the highest inflation, the the strictest uh bank controls, uh Nigeria, different parts of Africa, Turkey, Venezuela, Argentina, etc.
- 1:21:48SPEAKER_13: And historically, you've always seen that when those countries were really struggling with inflation or being able to move money and stuff like this, that uh that they would start peaking in the Google searches and in um general adoption.
- 1:22:05SPEAKER_13: And it's weird because for the first time here in the US, we're seeing the effects of that that we haven't seen in our lifetimes, and that young people are, like you said, just all of a sudden trying to grasp.
- 1:22:22SPEAKER_13: And you know, we talk about 40 trillion dollars in uh you know in in national debt, and and how that how how many hundreds of thousands of years that would be at a dollar a second, how many you know, sand pieces of sand on a beach is it is one trillion, but let alone 40 trillion.
- 1:22:44SPEAKER_13: It's a couple hundred thousand years, 40 trillion is uh at a at a dollar a second.
- 1:22:49SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:22:50SPEAKER_10: And they just and they just keep going.
- 1:22:52SPEAKER_10: Like right now, they're just going fired up.
- 1:22:54SPEAKER_10: It gets it gets me, it gets me fired up.
- 1:22:56SPEAKER_10: The um, but hey guys, we could do this all night.
- 1:22:59SPEAKER_09: I want to, I want to uh oh yeah, all day and all night.
- 1:23:04SPEAKER_10: Yeah, well, all day for uh bazooka.
- 1:23:08SPEAKER_10: Where are you located at?
- 1:23:10SPEAKER_14: Uh Earth at the moment.
- 1:23:11SPEAKER_14: Oh sometimes you'll find me uh on the West Coast, sometimes you'll find me in Norway.
- 1:23:16SPEAKER_14: Okay.
- 1:23:17SPEAKER_14: That depends.
- 1:23:18SPEAKER_10: Okay.
- 1:23:18SPEAKER_13: I and then uh final show and tell if that's cool.
- 1:23:24SPEAKER_13: Okay, so we're gonna always produce cool stuff for giveaways and for our merchant store and stuff like that, and we're never gonna rent a seat.
- 1:23:33SPEAKER_13: So this looks like a little, what is it?
- 1:23:37SPEAKER_13: Oh my gosh, wait, wait.
- 1:23:38SPEAKER_13: What this has issue number one and issue number two, there's there's your chapters right there, right?
- 1:23:46SPEAKER_13: And it's like an album kind of like this.
- 1:23:53SPEAKER_13: But what you do is if I go like this and and scan it and hit that, so that's gonna take us directly to either the first uh either the first YouTube or the other side will take you to our website.
- 1:24:13SPEAKER_09: So if we go like that.
- 1:24:16SPEAKER_13: So what it is is uh I scanned the same thing.
- 1:24:21SPEAKER_13: But what it is is it has a Faraday barrier between the two with NFC chips on each side, and those NFT C chips will scan to a phone and then go directly to our website and to our first issue.
- 1:24:35SPEAKER_13: So we're we're gonna always create creative things.
- 1:24:38SPEAKER_13: Uh we create with the creative creations department over here, and we're gonna have fun things to collect and uh and uh give away.
- 1:24:46SPEAKER_05: That is so amazing.
- 1:24:48SPEAKER_05: I don't even know.
- 1:24:50SPEAKER_13: I didn't even know that existed.
- 1:24:52SPEAKER_13: I don't think this is ever a double Faraday on a single product hasn't.
- 1:24:57SPEAKER_13: I mean a double NFC on a single product, I don't think has.
- 1:25:00SPEAKER_13: So we designed it with uh with that Faraday barrier so that the NFCs will only have one 80-degree um uh signal on from each side.
- 1:25:10SPEAKER_05: I don't even know exactly what you're saying, but I know that that is simple.
- 1:25:14SPEAKER_14: Did you guys um just for context?
- 1:25:17SPEAKER_14: I know did you guys already look at the site?
- 1:25:21SPEAKER_14: The site shows a lot of the stuff that that the teams talked about, like how each uh issue is like structured and that's all laid out on the team.
- 1:25:30SPEAKER_13: Can you do a share screen real quick and just go to the contributor thing and just show them that?
- 1:25:34SPEAKER_13: Gen X?
- 1:25:36SPEAKER_13: Yeah, I saw that.
- 1:25:37SPEAKER_13: Let me see.
- 1:25:37SPEAKER_13: Wait, I bet I could.
- 1:25:38SPEAKER_13: I bet I could.
- 1:25:40SPEAKER_10: Yeah, I I've seen some of that stuff, Gen X.
- 1:25:42SPEAKER_10: It's super cool.
- 1:25:43SPEAKER_10: I was playing on your guys' uh on the on that uh before we got on here.
- 1:25:52SPEAKER_14: I'm working on some uh classified stuff at the moment, so I can't I can't share.
- 1:25:57SPEAKER_14: Sorry.
- 1:25:59SPEAKER_13: There's the website, but you can check out the videos here.
- 1:26:01SPEAKER_13: It's separated by by chapters and bumpers, in fact.
- 1:26:05SPEAKER_13: So cool.
- 1:26:08SPEAKER_13: You can actually hit the contribute button right here, and then articles on there too.
- 1:26:15SPEAKER_13: Yeah, get paid in fact, and then if we go here, I can actually attach a file from my from my uh from anywhere on my computer, etc.
- 1:26:27SPEAKER_13: And um I'll just cancel that because I'm not gonna attach.
- 1:26:30SPEAKER_13: And then you put in what category you're submitting to, your description of that, and your name, and handle, n pub, and then wallet address.
- 1:26:42SPEAKER_13: Or you can put your wallet address in here, that's fine too.
- 1:26:45SPEAKER_13: And yeah, you can submit that.
- 1:26:47SPEAKER_13: We're gonna we will check it out, we'll get back to you within about three days, and we'll let you know uh if that's something you can work with.
- 1:26:55SPEAKER_13: We got submission guidelines here, um a little deeper right there.
- 1:27:00SPEAKER_13: But yeah, that's um that's what we got what we got going on here.
- 1:27:06SPEAKER_10: So yeah, mana is awesome.
- 1:27:08SPEAKER_10: Adam is awesome from mana.
- 1:27:11SPEAKER_19: Uh-huh.
- 1:27:12SPEAKER_13: Yeah, I had an awesome talk with him and Lee earlier today.
- 1:27:16SPEAKER_13: They're gonna they're gonna be helping us do some storytelling.
- 1:27:20SPEAKER_13: Yeah, he's great.
- 1:27:22SPEAKER_09: He's great.
- 1:27:23SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 1:27:24SPEAKER_05: Well, we appreciate you guys, like we said earlier, just being with us and all that you're doing for the big Bitcoin community.
- 1:27:32SPEAKER_05: Each of you have conspiracy realists.
- 1:27:35SPEAKER_05: There we go.
- 1:27:36SPEAKER_10: Um we need to change it now.
- 1:27:38SPEAKER_10: It's like every conspiracy is true until it's false now.
- 1:27:42SPEAKER_10: Like it's not even a conspiracy anymore.
- 1:27:45SPEAKER_13: We've all started six months before the headlines published it.
- 1:27:50SPEAKER_13: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:27:52SPEAKER_13: Well, we changed in that.
- 1:27:53SPEAKER_13: No, but thank you guys so much.
- 1:27:56SPEAKER_05: Oh, absolutely.
- 1:27:57SPEAKER_05: I'm so excited to dive deeper into your guys' uh Bitcoin video magazine, and I think what you've created is super cool.
- 1:28:05SPEAKER_05: I think what each of you have contributed to this magazine is even awesome, what makes it awesome.
- 1:28:12SPEAKER_05: Um, so I just think I think this is gonna be super helpful for people like me coming into the Bitcoin space maybe later on, or you know, being you know a partner in this and trying to figure out what the heck is Bitcoin.
- 1:28:26SPEAKER_05: Um, and that's what this is all about.
- 1:28:30SPEAKER_05: So thank you guys for being with us and um yeah, this is gonna be cool.
- 1:28:36SPEAKER_13: Thank you guys.
- 1:28:37SPEAKER_13: Thank you.
- 1:28:38SPEAKER_13: Cheers.
- 1:28:38SPEAKER_13: Thank you.
- 1:28:39SPEAKER_13: Have a wonderful evening.
