- 0:06Drama Darling, Drama Darling, Drama Darling. Hey, everybody, what's up.
- 0:21It's Amy Phillips here at Drama Darling and this is the podcast where we
- 0:26talk all things Bravo and beyond. Today it's Real Housewives of New York,
- 0:31Crappy Lake, the Finale if you will, The bentan Folly has really come
- 0:36to light tomorrow below Deck down Under, and we got some Orange County coming
- 0:41up, Project Runway and The Bachelorette Finale this week. Recording that later today
- 0:48with Deanna Chang. I don't know about you, guys, but I just
- 0:51can't wait for that Golden Bachelor. That's what I'm excited about. Joining me
- 0:57today is Emily de Reesis welcome back. Hi. Oh my god, bag,
- 1:07I actually might watch. I might join Bachelor Nation for Golden Bachelor.
- 1:11Oh watch how I'm excited about that? I know what, No, I'm
- 1:19just I my jaws drop because I this came out of the woodwork for me.
- 1:23I didn't expect Emily to say that that's a big announcement for today.
- 1:26I did. That's a huge announcement. Yes, because I don't typically watch
- 1:32it, I'm gonna say I maybe we'll watch it okay, but I know,
- 1:34I don't know for sure, but let's have all the bachelor's I've been
- 1:38interested in. This is the one I'm in, the Golden Yes. Now,
- 1:42Also, here's my idea. And I wouldn't want to offend anybody,
- 1:47you know, but I want to put my vote in for the first Golden
- 1:51Bachelorette to be. Vicky Goudlis said, Oh, I mean, do you
- 1:56have chills or do you have chills? Now? You would keep it very
- 2:00interesting? Oh can we? Okay, so first of all, you have
- 2:05to be sixty and older. I'm assuming she's sixty, right, she's got
- 2:07okay safty? Well, yes, I mean it's just a Google search away.
- 2:13I mean, what are we if we're not R and D. At
- 2:15this point, Vicki and I got to work to my podcast. It A
- 2:20GoGG will say to age okay, sixty one, okay, so it's perfect,
- 2:24It's perfect. Oh my gosh, it's such a great idea. And
- 2:29she will like, oh my gosh, she'll whoop it up. But also
- 2:32she will uh you know that it will be in. It would be interesting
- 2:38to see how much she would create. I think she needs someone to work
- 2:42off of, another woman to work off of Oh you mean the just bring
- 2:46all the traits of megas in and just have them in the sidelines. Oh
- 2:51my gosh, her and Shannon, Well there you go. How old is
- 2:54Shannon? Oh man? I just closed the window and it was please,
- 3:00I gotta go back to shut it in that window. Shit, there there
- 3:05is a storm of bruin. Well you missed. You missed the her A
- 3:09quake. As you've been traveling, Darling. I know, I of all
- 3:15the things, I'm a low key prepper. And when I say lo ki,
- 3:19I'm very much a prepper in the sense that I'm ready for the big
- 3:23one in Los Angeles, the big quake. So I've got your generators,
- 3:29I've got your food that doesn't expire for fourteen years, I got your propane
- 3:31stoves. And I was not near any of the fun I was. I
- 3:37missed. The big part is done. It was a real dun. I
- 3:39mean, the power didn't go out. Maddie was literally chanting, power out,
- 3:45power out. You know, I'm like, we don't want that,
- 3:47lady, Okay, I want to make shadow puppets because that's what we do.
- 3:51That's what we did last time. But Shannon Badoor is fifty nine years
- 3:54old. I don't make the cut. I I I'm sorry, I don't
- 4:00make the cut. So that's that. But yes, you've been in Maryland,
- 4:05you've been in New Hampshire. Yes, we needed to stay Maryland back
- 4:10in Maryland. You did not fly home based on this storm, which was
- 4:14a good idea. Correct. Well, you know, I took my ten
- 4:17year old nephew with me to New Hampshire, who lives in Maryland. So
- 4:21the plan was always just to come back to Maryland to drop him back off,
- 4:26and I stayed. Once I heard about the world ending, yea,
- 4:30I decided to extend my trip. But yeah, we had a great time
- 4:35in New Hampshire. Did some fly fishing, but they've had so much rain
- 4:42where we were in New Hampshire that we were doing a lot of like line
- 4:46fishing because he's also ten so that's more fun for him. And we did
- 4:51not catch much because the water was so high that you needed to get a
- 4:57line down below the current to really catch. WHOA, that's someone who's talking
- 5:00about someone who knows they're fishing. Well, I sound like I know,
- 5:05but that's something I learned. Uh, second to last day I was there,
- 5:10I was like, oh, that's why they're not biting this year.
- 5:15And and then this guy, this grizzled old man who also my dad would
- 5:18have says he says the same thing. He's like, you got to use
- 5:23a lead sinker, which is lead? And yeah, what is the what
- 5:32is a more organic version of an element that's not lead? Right? There
- 5:42are better options, darlings. Sound off in the comments with your unleaded sinker
- 5:46options. By the way, speaking off gas your sinkers, you have to
- 5:51off gas your sinkers. I know this. I grew up on boats.
- 5:57I got to give a shout out to one of your the darling it was
- 6:00I saw in the comments. I graced the comments and saw Mark Stanley is
- 6:05from Aberdeen. He said, I'm in Aberdeen. Oh my gosh, like
- 6:11twenty minutes from where I am and twenty minutes from where I grew up.
- 6:14I don't. Yeah, I go to the Aberdeen Panera to meet my dad
- 6:17sometimes. Oh my god, Mark, I grew up in Cecil County,
- 6:26Northeast. Yeah. So Halla, halle mama, pla monk, mamma.
- 6:34We have some speaking of some Halla mama, I'd like to give some shout
- 6:40outs to some wonderful new Patreon subscribers, and I just want to say thank
- 6:46you Jules, thank you, Tina, thank you, Megan, thank you,
- 6:55Kathleen Darling, thank you hold On, I said, Kathleen. Oh,
- 7:01thank you, Blake, and you went up, you upped your pledge,
- 7:08So thank you for joining the next tear up Darling and gosh, just
- 7:13so many oh and another and a Kathy and a Karen and a Beverly and
- 7:16an Andrew and a Tony I mean, and an LW got. The list
- 7:21is going on. This was a hot weekend for pledges and Jennifer, Thank
- 7:26you Jennifer. So you guys over on Patreon, it's poppin'. I mean,
- 7:31I'd work it. I've work it by little ass off because this is
- 7:33what I love to do. And I appreciate you guys subscribing because this is
- 7:39our life. Okay. We want to focus on the things that really matter.
- 7:42That's these shows, these shit shows. So go ahead and join me
- 7:46over at patreon dot com. Back slash Drama Darling. And you know,
- 7:50Emily, you weren't here for this big news, but there is a Drama
- 7:54Darling hotline. Now it is up and it is hot because I'm collecting callers
- 8:01about the Bethany Rachel podcast so that I can air their everyone's grievances APPLI and
- 8:09also not just grievances, but also maybe some support on some of the things
- 8:13that were said in that. But that hotline is going to be open for
- 8:16people, you know, twenty four to seven, and if you want to
- 8:22pop in there and just leave a message about gosh, you know skincare,
- 8:30fly fishing, you know, crappy Lake, you name it seven four seven,
- 8:35three two two one two eight eight. The next step is to get
- 8:39that live onto the show, and I am. I'm pretty hot and bothered
- 8:45about it. I'm pretty close. That doesn't make sense. Uh, I'm
- 8:48pretty close to make that happen. But in the meantime, we've got this
- 8:50hotline, which is great. Option, that is great, and your job
- 8:54is technology. So yeah, me and Ralph we're both in it. And
- 9:00Marlowe. So I'm so excited you're back. Emily. I missed you,
- 9:07me too. I missed the Darlings. I missed. I was so remote
- 9:11and so out of it though, like I I got, there's no way
- 9:15I could have tuned in. I didn't even know Hillary was a West Coast
- 9:20hurricane. Am I the one that broke the news to you? No,
- 9:24you definitely broke the news. I was on a plane when you texted me
- 9:26that there was an earthquake and I was like what. I was flying back
- 9:31to Maryland. Yeah, but uh yeah, I was getting alerts from my
- 9:37various utility companies alerting me about a big storm. And I was like,
- 9:41well, I have a first one to tell you about Hillary. I knew
- 9:45it wasn't that what I met. That's how it I was, That's how
- 9:48out of it I was. I was like, I assumed Hillary was hitting
- 9:52the Carolinas or Florida. I didn't know. I was like barely looking at
- 9:54my phone. Well, oh my gosh, it's so crazy. In the
- 10:01meantime, we do have a little dish to serve up, because that's how
- 10:05we do. First of all, I want to say congratulations to Lisa vander
- 10:09Pump for being one big boss bitch. She is opening a third restaurant inside
- 10:13of the Flamingo, Las Vegas. This is joining her already existing vander Pump
- 10:18Cocktail Garden, which is in Caesar's and vander Pump Paris, which is in
- 10:24Paris, Las Vegas. So this is going to be another restaurant. This
- 10:28is absolutely completely in line with what I said and what I predicted, And
- 10:33I mean, it doesn't take a genius. Okay, I'm just saying that.
- 10:37But I did say, you know, when we were talking about pump
- 10:39closing and you know, all that stuff, and I said, look,
- 10:43she's pulling up you know, she's pulling up the landing gear and she's going
- 10:48to fly her little little Nikolayne fixtures over to Vegas and spread hawings. So
- 10:56I think that, I mean, this is again, like this is huge.
- 11:00This is a third restaurant in Vegas. This is this, It's all
- 11:03happening. And I would I wonder too if it's like kind of uh in
- 11:07name only, Like she's licensing her name for the restaurant. So I wonder
- 11:13if this is like a less less risky proposition for her, you know,
- 11:18like maybe she's she so maybe she gets like a royalty. I'm totally just
- 11:22wondering. I have no idea what the deal is on. The hot line
- 11:26is open for people also the Patreon page and the discord. I mean,
- 11:30I can be reached, you know what I'm saying. I am one fucking
- 11:33reachable broad That's all I have to say about that, no go ahead.
- 11:37So yeah, licensing her name, Yeah, maybe it's you know, as
- 11:43a former president has done. You know, you license your name on these
- 11:46buildings and then you kind of get like a really nice royalty, but then
- 11:50like you don't also have to take the risk of the asset. So maybe
- 11:56that's something that she's doing, which I think that they do. Like I
- 11:58think cake Boss is something like that Gag Boss. Yeah about that, the
- 12:05pocket Book, Yeah, yeah, so yeah, I wonder, but hopefully
- 12:07it's got to be cheaper than running restaurants in West Hollywood. Oh my gosh.
- 12:13Also the Flamingo. That's great. I was actually looking at that space
- 12:16to do my Cabaremi there. But they really, I mean, they've got
- 12:20like their Vegas acts that they're are they're locked and stocked. They don't they
- 12:24weren't gonna have anyone in for like just a three night only type of thing.
- 12:28They've got their acts. It's it's very Vegas. But it looks really
- 12:33cool and I'm very excited about this. So that's fun. That's some fun
- 12:39news. Okay. Now, I don't know if you heard any of the
- 12:43rumblings last week about larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan, you know, basically fanning
- 12:50the flames of an engagement between the two of them. Uh, and they
- 12:56I didn't know this, but apparently they have a podcast called Separation Anxiety,
- 13:01and they the couple confirmed that they while they aren't engaged yet, Marcus I
- 13:09is doing research for a massive diamond ring for Larsa And apparently he was kind
- 13:16of like joking in a cheeky way that he was looking for a location for
- 13:22a wedding and that it's in the works. And then the paparazzi and the
- 13:26tabloids ran with that. Well, I mean, of course they did.
- 13:31He told TMZ that that they were having had a wedding date in the works,
- 13:35So now you know, he said he got one hundred calls and text
- 13:39messages of people congratulating, and then I bet I know one that didn't,
- 13:43and that is Michael Oh, Mamma Mia. I bet Michael was not one
- 13:50of those. And Scottie for that, Matty. But Tennis Rodman was right
- 13:56on board with it. He thought it was great. Tennis Rodman. I
- 13:58haven't heard from him him in a while, and I'm rachable broad a lot
- 14:05line. Dennis Dennis hit me up. Larsa said, uh no, we're
- 14:09not engaged. I mean, it's like these people with their contradictions just putting
- 14:16out lush show. They really do. They want to get they want to
- 14:18get some press and and so they're kind of shutting down the rumors that they're
- 14:24officially engaged. But maybe they're talking about it. My god, anything for
- 14:30a podcast, you know, download and I mean, darlings, look,
- 14:35let me know what I have to do to get a download. But I
- 14:37am reachable. Just give me the hint because I'm not your I'm not going
- 14:43to do like an expose. I'm not going to do a gotcha interview.
- 14:46I mean, that's just not my cup of tea. I don't know how
- 14:50interested I would be in listening to that podcast. But I also bet but
- 14:56I'm also surprised that it's not on my radar at all at all. All
- 15:01it existed, I mean, Google knows everything about me. You would think
- 15:05that that would have been somewhere in my periphery of Google News. I mean
- 15:11the Larsa and Marcus thing was, but yeah, but not the rest podcasts.
- 15:15Yeah right, well that is talk about like you know, everyone has
- 15:20a podcast. I mean, I didn't know they were that serious, Like
- 15:24I mean, I thought they were just like paparazzi serious. I didn't really
- 15:28think that deep down they were committed enough to have a podcast together. And
- 15:31that's a commitment. Because also Larsa's downplayed it a lot too. You know,
- 15:37she was saying she was just saying they were really casual and all that.
- 15:41But you know, well, in other news, the Feds want Jenshaw's
- 15:46earnings, her Salt Lake City Real Housewives earnings, to help pay her fraud
- 15:50victims, and they're starting to go after her earnings. But she and her
- 15:58co defendants haven't paid any of this six point seven million dollar restitution owed to
- 16:02the victims for the telemarketing fraud scheme, and the Manhattan Federal Prosecutors are asking
- 16:10a judge to sign off on an order to garnish twenty five percent of her
- 16:14earnings from Shed Media that produces Salt Lake City, and the order says the
- 16:21earning should continue to be paid to the court clerk until Shaw's release date from
- 16:26prison, which is August thirtieth, twenty twenty eight. As of February,
- 16:30the media company owed Shaw thirty four thousand dollars her salary for one episode of
- 16:36the reality show Court Papers Show, and twenty five percent of the disposable earnings
- 16:41on that or five thousand is set to be garnished by the court to go
- 16:45toward the restitution. So yeah, her Shaw and her co defendants were ordered
- 16:52to pay six point seven million and it remains unpaid. They're also seeking the
- 17:00prosecutors to seize two pieces of expensive jewelry from from Shaw to cover separate four
- 17:07uh uh, to cover a separate fee for this And let's see what else?
- 17:15Maybe a ring here, a gold eighteen carrot rose gold and diamond ring.
- 17:22She needs to get Kim Zulciak to do a carrying transitions auction of her
- 17:27stuff boat take. Yeah, but the boot take, I don't know what
- 17:34this wasn't Kim selling like way overpricing her stuff, but it was selling right,
- 17:38and it got I think it could helped get that, Sure did it?
- 17:44Sure did so? Sure did so? Kim over there. Yeah,
- 17:48she doesn't have a lot of money for them to garnish. Let's just put
- 17:51it that way. Well, neither did Kim. Right. Well, remember
- 17:56when the Feds like seized all those handbags and they were all fake fake,
- 18:00Okay, fay fay, fay fake. Remember that. Yeah, that was
- 18:03rough. That was rough. That was rough. So you know, okay,
- 18:10that's all for the news. We got other things to talk about.
- 18:14We have to talk about first. Let's discuss New York hobba duh. So
- 18:25all right, Okay, did you watch Miami last year where Nicole had that
- 18:32big party in the bank. No, oh, okay, because I watched
- 18:37some of Miami. Wait, I watched some of Miami. Okay, up
- 18:44until the hot mic. I feel like I watched it. I maybe I
- 18:51forget this party, but it was like the I think it was the finale.
- 18:55I think it was the finale. But it was really quite beautiful,
- 19:00beautiful, beautiful. But it just reminded me because Aaron's was in a huge
- 19:06bank, which was too much. That was too much space, that was
- 19:10too much, too much acoustics, too much ceiling to talk with on a
- 19:15one microphone with one speaker, it was too much as a speaker, oh,
- 19:22as a producer yourself, and as a performer both of us. Uh,
- 19:27classical performers, yes, classical performances too well, and a high marble
- 19:36ceiling. You just cannot get over what an absolute horrific I mean event,
- 19:42this was like, yes, I we have been at so many events with
- 19:48these housewives and none have made me feel as uncomfortable as this one practically.
- 19:52I mean look, I might be overstating, but I couldn't get out of
- 19:56there fast enough. I couldn't handle this. I was like, this is
- 20:02unbelievable. Six speakers in that kind of room. You're a val renewal.
- 20:08Oh, I am disgusting. I love the idea. How about make it
- 20:17more intimate? And then she gets up there and then she's like just the
- 20:22classic generic basic match you know vows after ten years you're going to start with
- 20:29when we met all those years ago at the draft bar, I never thought,
- 20:34are you kidding me? That's all you have after ten years? Also
- 20:40like this, I might be very old fashioned, but when you give a
- 20:44speech, write it on paper, write it off your phone, paper,
- 20:48thank you? Don't. It drives me crazy at a big event. I
- 20:52don't care what it is. No, it is important enough for you to
- 20:56write. Then write it out on paper. Yeah, type it out.
- 21:00I don't know it out, put it on a card. It bothers me.
- 21:07I'll tell you what Captain Sandy did it and you know, sorry,
- 21:10sorry Sandy. Captain Sandy did it when she was marrying two people for the
- 21:17first time. She was the officiant and on on one of the yacht charters
- 21:22and she married them, and she had her phone and she was reading from
- 21:26her phone like you know, now you may kiss the bride type of thing.
- 21:30And I was living. I was fit to be tied. I mean,
- 21:33throw me over the scroll like that would look cool. Just something,
- 21:40just anything. Didn't print his out, I mean he had it. He
- 21:45had a piece of paper. He did have a piece of paper. And
- 21:48that guy that that walked out down. You don't need four sheets of paper,
- 21:51that one guy, that's just me out. Maybe he did, Maybe
- 21:56he needed it in large print. You know what I'd rather that. I'd
- 22:00rather ten sheets of paper, yeah, than one iPhone. Also, you
- 22:04can't see. The lighting was terrible. It was dark, it looked cold.
- 22:10It clearly didn't have enough food. Never does with Aaron, it never
- 22:15does. And you know what, size right. As much as she complains
- 22:19she's dead on right with this eron gal, she is not providing the food.
- 22:25Who was sponsoring the food? That's what I was thinking. I was
- 22:30like, how do you when when she when earlier in the episode, when
- 22:33Brinn mentions that, I was like, oh, well, then it's gonna
- 22:37be amazing food, right, because it's going to be a sponsored thing.
- 22:41Right. What was there that was sponsored? I don't understand it. There
- 22:47were so many flowers just in one place. Like I clocked some arrangement that
- 22:52was enormous, and I thought, Nah, you gotta you gotta fill this
- 22:57place up. If you're gonna if if if one bouquet, you need several,
- 23:03you need some Yeah, in a in a grand room like that,
- 23:07you gotta have. You're gonna spend so much money on flowers, so I
- 23:12mean, or even even if you even if it's sponsored by flowers, like
- 23:18you have to have so many make it. You're gonna need to steal some
- 23:22of Charret's sip and sea balloons and bears to to uh to decorate this,
- 23:29you know, because this was something that needs it didn't need to happen.
- 23:32It didn't need to happen this way, you guys, or you know it
- 23:36just didn't. Yes, here's the other option. If you're looking to get
- 23:40if you want to have an event in a big, grand room, this
- 23:44is uh. A lot of times these grand rooms are automatically decorated for the
- 23:48holidays, So do it at the holidays and then you don't have to spend
- 23:52all that money. Yeah, it seems like it was the holiday. I
- 24:00mean right, I mean last week. Last week Jenna was decorating her tree
- 24:06with her god all of her god children, you know, and her son.
- 24:08I'm wrong, they won't So at that bank, they were like nocorated.
- 24:14No, they are not well because guess what that bank isn't live,
- 24:18you know what I mean, Like, that's just a spot. It's just
- 24:22a spot. They're better off just going to it, like the chase on
- 24:26the corner. You know, at least they're gonna have a tree and some
- 24:30hot coco and maybe you can sign up for you know, roth Ira and
- 24:34open some kind of nice account. But I just I had some issues with
- 24:41that party. It was so it was the least amount of intimacy we've ever
- 24:45seen in a vow renewal situation. We've seen many vow renewals, the one
- 24:51that works, that one that is not the kiss of death, but go
- 24:53on. So maybe because this party was so bad, you know, I
- 25:00don't I don't worry about their relationship that's the great news. They seem they
- 25:04seem great. Yeah, look he's a deadhead. You're gonna find success with
- 25:11a dead head. He is about as relaxed and chill and he's into her.
- 25:15And I was totally on board with their relationship until they did a bowl
- 25:19renewal. Oh well yeah, it's the kiss of death. I'm sorry.
- 25:23I just we just haven't seen one that hasn't been the you know, Canary
- 25:30and the coal mine kind of thing. Yeah, right, yes, that's
- 25:37that's what that. So we'll see what happens. Well, but I do
- 25:40like them as a couple. I root for the I think that they'll be
- 25:45fine hopefully, but you know, yeah, I'm not totally invested. You've
- 25:52now you're now like you've backed off. Okay, yes, I will not
- 25:56be sponsoring. Yeah, I was not asked to be a smaller. That
- 26:00invitation was ridiculous with the sponsors. Yes, this was Yeah, it was
- 26:07like a charity event. Yes, it was like Coachella. That's really whoever
- 26:14made that joke, I don't know it was. She had some funny things
- 26:17she was saying. She was like, I'm gonna need adderall if you want
- 26:18me to pay attention I mean she was spot on like with everything, and
- 26:25oh how about that one speaker that thought he had something where he's like when
- 26:29I got arrested for a fake idea in high school, and it's like crickets.
- 26:33I mean, the editing was actually really funny, but I I just
- 26:37get uncomfortable with these types of things because I think to myself, well,
- 26:41first of all, if the person who's saying their vows is shushing the audience,
- 26:45yeah, it might not be an audience problem. It might be a
- 26:48party problem or a you problem. You know. When she said I need
- 26:53to go over with the party planners the run of show, I was like,
- 27:00excuse me, I think we're in for some trouble here, because if
- 27:03you have a run up show at a vow renewal, yeah you bet,
- 27:07not more than you can chew. And they did unless it singers, unless
- 27:11someone's going to sing a song or something. But let me tell you this.
- 27:15I just read that at Jack Antonoff and Martha, the popular couple that
- 27:26got married that Taylor Swift was at this weekend. Okay, but that's what
- 27:29I'm saying. Taylor Swift's speech was fifteen minutes, and I was like,
- 27:33whoa too much. Taylor, are you serious? It was fifteen minutes,
- 27:37that's what I read, and even Taylor saying, well, that's what I
- 27:41don't know, and that's what I'm saying. I didn't say that she did.
- 27:45And I was like, even for Taylor Swift, I don't even Taylor
- 27:48Swift, You're gonna have to take that mic away, hone, I'm sorry,
- 27:52Yes there is. Look these people start to get this is where the
- 27:59narcissism and the anything I do is fine, you know, And this is
- 28:03what makes her a great housewife. This is a perfect display of someone who's
- 28:07a great housewife. This event was nails on a chalkboard for me. I
- 28:11couldn't get over the the acoustics, the the the poor preparation, it seemed
- 28:18like from afar at how this event was taking place, the amount of people
- 28:22there, the again the I'm just gonna go on with the same stuff.
- 28:26But then when her sister came over and shushed them, Okay, did you
- 28:32think that that was a little pre planned? Yeah? I don or the
- 28:37producers were like, I think maybe it wasn't so much planned as egged on
- 28:41by the producers to be like, hey, why don't you go over and
- 28:45tell those because everyone else was talking. Everybody, I mean, Brin had
- 28:51it right, like, are you just gonna go around and tell everybody to
- 28:53stop chatting? And I love that. Jenna immediately is like, oh,
- 28:57oh you no, you're right, you're right. I'm sorry, I'm sorry,
- 29:02because she's so like, we don't want any problems. We I mean,
- 29:04that would definitely be me in the situation. Oh no, no,
- 29:07no, we're fine. We're waitish, you know, like, I mean,
- 29:11you don't want to be rude either. I get that, but I
- 29:15did think that like the sister thought, I'm going to have my moment and
- 29:21I'm going to go over there, because I think she pre planned it where
- 29:25she thought they're definitely going to be arguing. I'm sure they'll be arguing,
- 29:29so my line will be can you please stop arguing? And they weren't even
- 29:33arguing. No, we weren't arguing. What are you talking about talking about?
- 29:37That's what? That's what. Yeah, that's when I thought it might
- 29:41have been a producer egging her on to be like, hey, they're arguing
- 29:45over there, maybe could you just ask them to like not argue. That's
- 29:48pretty rude, right, And that's when she went over and said that because
- 29:52it's it, it felt very unnatural for her, and yeah, just didn't
- 30:00click. And then also the best part was when the mom came up and
- 30:04she's like ready to just check. I mean, oh, I felt so
- 30:11bad for her. And then the daughter's like, shut the fuck up.
- 30:15The word she was just became a monster. And then the mom was like,
- 30:21oh, I check. Oh, I guess we'll talk later. I
- 30:25mean, I felt so bad for her. You know, it was so
- 30:26funny. Even the mom was bored. Yeah, like she and she was
- 30:32like sad that she couldn't fight, was sad she was whisked away. I
- 30:37mean that sister just whisked her away. Was like nope, I think it
- 30:42was meimed already because it was so crazy. But the Aaron's dad's girlfriend Jackie
- 30:49with the side eye, did you pick up on that to the side I
- 30:53took the camera, No to Aaron. Oh, it's amaz I I that's
- 30:59the best part of the entire episode. Go back, gosh, okay,
- 31:03when Jackie's dad comes up or I'm sorry, When Aaron's dad walks up with
- 31:08his girlfriend Jackie and introduces Aaron at the party to Jackie, Jackie does this
- 31:15you know, I'm not looking you up and down, but I'm looking you
- 31:19up and down. Look. And I mean I saw it on Twitter before
- 31:23I saw the upste No way, I can't wait to get back. She
- 31:26had a red hour puss look on her face. Oh it's so good,
- 31:30it's worth the episode. It's I saw her bank. I just saw her
- 31:37look directly at the camera like John Crison Sky in the office, like you
- 31:42know, So that's what I saw. And then Aaron's dress was ill fitting
- 31:48and honey, I'm sorry, look I'm gonna ask. I'm in a Shambrai
- 31:53jumpsuit. That look it's probably just as ill fitting. But the point is
- 32:00I think it looks good. Thank you. I just feel like the sides,
- 32:06the cutting of the sides and then having to see the tape there,
- 32:08it's not working. You can't just keep fiddling with it all night. It's
- 32:13not good. It was certainly cool, but it looks great. I loved
- 32:17the back list part of it. That part I was like, I loved
- 32:22everything. And then when she turned around and it was like pushing and pulling
- 32:27at her skin. That looks painful. I felt like that dress in that
- 32:32event, I felt like I wanted to keep boobs. Yeah, I wanted
- 32:37to get out, but yeah, we wanted to get out. You were
- 32:39the left, that was the right. I was like, get us out
- 32:43of here, but we can't. We're caged in. The acoustics are terrible
- 32:46and oh gosh. Also, I was curious about how much those earrings weighed,
- 32:52because did you see the back of the earring was just this gigantic cue
- 33:00And I was like, oh, that's all. Yeah, I could not
- 33:04pull that off because my lobes, like the holes are a little lower and
- 33:08they're not like really centered in the middle of my lobe. So I feel
- 33:10like, yeah, I can't wear heavy earrings, and so I always have
- 33:15to wear like a light If I'm gonna wear a long earring, it's gonna
- 33:19have to be light or else it just looks like it's pulling my lobes.
- 33:22No, I mean, it looked good. I just was like, that
- 33:27looks really heavy. But that's just me. I can't wear four hundred thousand
- 33:32dollars or a million dollars worth of diets. It was wild that she got
- 33:37that, and then Uba unfortunately couldn't make it to the show. I mean
- 33:39the show, the run of show the show, the run of show.
- 33:43You know who they needed at that vowerule show is that Richard J Alexander from
- 33:50Jay all the Way from Broadway Darling. Yeah, he came in and he
- 33:55said, you sit here, and you sit there and then you hold hands
- 34:00and then I don't do ten minutes of speeches. Everyone right, somebody know
- 34:06how spike a chair? That was the best. It's like again waiting for
- 34:08uff. How about that guest with the hair on fire that was like,
- 34:15what is on my bag? And then just puts it out with one swipe?
- 34:21Do that is she like a Marvel character? Was so confused like that
- 34:30epic and that they even could they had a camera on like it within the
- 34:35vicinity was great too. Again was that planned? Like? How boring was
- 34:39this party where the producers like, I don't know, someone on fire,
- 34:44set it on fire. I don't know. That was the second time we've
- 34:49seen somebody's hair caught catch on fire on a Housewive show. The first one
- 34:53was I believe Shannon, Oh remember that I art. I mean it was
- 35:00like a seal, you know, seal just just popping up on the rocks
- 35:07waiting for some fresh fish, like cy So cy leaves. She doesn't even
- 35:13make it to the Yeah, yeah, I have to ask you something.
- 35:15How do you feel about Brin hitting on Aaron's husband? Well, I thought
- 35:21it. She was relentless. It's like it's just not funny, like but
- 35:27it's all in good fun, and I really I know that that's going to
- 35:30become a thing. But yeah, because you know Brent, because you all
- 35:36know Bryn, she doesn't mean anything by it. But I also am like,
- 35:40it's not like you did a couple jokes. Let it lie. You're
- 35:45absolutely relentless. Stop it's annoying. Okay, So like you think it's a
- 35:51joke, But do you think like if she even got the hint of a
- 35:55bite, like that's what I mean, Like she's putting it on there so
- 36:00so much that like maybe off camera, like you know what I mean,
- 36:06Like if there's just a hint of something. I mean, she's kind of
- 36:10playing with fire. I think I will are uncomfortable. Yes, she's playing
- 36:16with hair on fire brand brand hair on fire Liar, Liar. I was.
- 36:21I was extremely uncomfortable, not only because of the venue and the party
- 36:25and the speeches and the and then Brin's sunglasses and how uncomfortable she was,
- 36:30and she's so restless, like in her own skin almost, and especially at
- 36:36this event that it was like, literally I was having so many visceral reactions
- 36:40to a show that I didn't think would was ever going to do that,
- 36:45you know, let alone have a vow renewal party and just throw me for
- 36:47a loop. But I wish I could pull those sunglasses off. I wish
- 36:52I could wear sunglasses like inside at night because it looks cool. I just
- 36:58would be like, yeah, so I just like at her extragery, like
- 37:00I be making up something to say right off, but I thought it looked
- 37:05really cool. Oh yeah, and the whole white outfit. I loved it.
- 37:08But it's like to me when she's making those jokes and they're just bad,
- 37:15like dad, you know, I want to say call them Dad jokes,
- 37:17but they're not that. They're just like it just shows how uncomfortable she
- 37:22is, and it's like, yeah, it's not funny, And if anything,
- 37:27it it's a real turn off, Like that float, that way of
- 37:31flirting ends up being to me a turnoff. If I were like the recipient
- 37:37of that, if I were him, if I were Abe, I'd be
- 37:39like, Okay, turn it off like this is annoying. It would be,
- 37:45Yeah, that's why, like a dude doing that would annoy the shit
- 37:49out of me. But then I think too about some of the soundbites that
- 37:52I've heard from the Bethany and uh Rachel podcast where she's talked about like her
- 37:58and now these are soundbites are I'm paraphrasing, but basically how like her thing
- 38:02was to go after taken dudes. And I thought, like, brit come
- 38:07on, like I kind of got that vibe a little bit. Oh right,
- 38:13So because like I just thought that that was uh one or two like
- 38:20little lines just in front of Aaron as a fun thing with my right in
- 38:24front of Aaron. Much better sweets or I don't know, but like that
- 38:29just felt like wow, Yeah, it was like County right, it was,
- 38:34And I think like if Aaron was there, it would have been a
- 38:37different story. But the fact that she wasn't is just strange. Yeah,
- 38:40Like even Jess seemed a little uncomfortable, but maybe I'm reading into that.
- 38:45Well that's because she was still wearing lingerie from the other night and she hates
- 38:49it so much. Oh my gosh. We got to talk about the new
- 38:54show that Everybody loves coming to you on Sunday Night on CBS. Everybody loves
- 39:01Pavit. Does he not remind you? Yeah? Yeah he I love Pavit.
- 39:15Yeah I do too, because, as I said, I get real
- 39:20anxious when they start talking about their kids, like preschools and Povit definitely is
- 39:27my voice in that conversation any race car drivers again, Ray Ramono, the
- 39:32same as Mychina impression. You know, this is the thing. Uh.
- 39:39They talk about the Montessori School, about the applications and she's like, I
- 39:44don't think you understand the urgency of this, and we have less than two
- 39:46weeks to get the applications in. And he's like and she's like, our
- 39:50kids could speak Mandarin. He's like, they can't even speak English. Run
- 39:53now, So, I mean he's got all the funny lines. And if
- 39:59you watch it back, she's scrolling through these applications and she's got the Montssori
- 40:05School up. I'm the one that's like the one that has the celebrities that
- 40:10go to it, and she's like scrolling. She's like, I just want
- 40:14to see what your you know, if this is feasible, like what your
- 40:17take is on it? And she kind of scrolls down to show the big
- 40:20sixty two thousand dollars and it's such a setup you can see, and she's
- 40:23just waiting for him to respond, you know what I mean, I'm going
- 40:28to give you a bye. I'm going to give you a pass. Okay,
- 40:31okay, Jessel. That's fine because you really set Povet up for a
- 40:37nice pivot there, and he had some great fun jokes that seemed authentic in
- 40:42the moment, but you know, you set them up and that's fine.
- 40:45And like her line saying, I mean you need to invest like Tom Cruise
- 40:51sent his kid here, you know, things like that, which seems very
- 40:54like are we Is she really for real? Like, yeah, it's not
- 40:58a little performative, thank you. Yeah, we don't want to see that.
- 41:04It's too fun now, No, And I think maybe this is the
- 41:07also we're maybe that's a little bit of the people's issue, not mine.
- 41:12I still love this new Roney, but maybe that's kind of like I'm saying,
- 41:16as the audience. Usually that's behavior we see in a new housewife and
- 41:22their family is a little bit performative, and now we're seeing a whole cast
- 41:25at once having those moments. So we're on a point like we don't we
- 41:30don't know where to totally trust the authenticity yet. So maybe that's kind of
- 41:37like what we're picking up on, and likely what we're picking up on,
- 41:40they'll be a little bit more natural because it's it's weird because usually you get
- 41:46one new housewife a season and either their husband is totally not on board and
- 41:52kind of a dick I eat like Shane and Emily. Yeah, and then
- 41:55once he gets they kind of get into it and then and that goes away,
- 42:00or we get this weird performance art oh a sketch, oh and scene
- 42:08you know. So yeah, yeah, kind of what we're getting. That's
- 42:13like what we're getting. And I did love that. She was like,
- 42:15oh no, they're asking for boards and associations. Are you part of anything
- 42:19other than the Fried Chicken Committee? And he was like, it's a street
- 42:22food association of New York City, which is amazing. I mean, the
- 42:27Fried Chicken Committee, It's great. And I think that I love this scene.
- 42:31I loved it. Everybody loves Povet, love Povet. And her use
- 42:35of the word inept was hysterical. I was like, oh my, you're
- 42:37so how could you not know I was like, whoa, she needs to
- 42:43go to this school. I think she does. I did think it was
- 42:49refreshing that like prices do matter across the board with this Rony cast, they
- 42:53do talk about pricing and money and like price tags being an issue or just
- 43:01like impressive, whereas like in other casts, it's like money is no object.
- 43:07And yeah, so I do kind of appreciate that. I agree.
- 43:12I agree. I think that all the husbands so far on this show are
- 43:16proving themselves to be very likable and actually decent husbands. I don't get any
- 43:22douchey vibes or many of them, I mean wearing a shit. I love
- 43:27it. Yeah, they're just like you dudes. Yes, Abe is great
- 43:31and the fact that he like he's a grateful dead I loved his vows by
- 43:36the way, I thought they were really really quite beautiful and yeah, yeah
- 43:39I felt so. So. I don't feel like any of them are trying
- 43:45to do a camera grap like none of them are trying to be the like
- 43:50they're nobody's going to be selling an apron after this, Oh thank god.
- 43:54Yeah, yeah, Abe is great. Everybody loves POV it is great,
- 44:00and David size husband is great too. He's just first of all, I
- 44:06was so happy that that kid drew on that carpet. I was like,
- 44:08thank you, because you know, girls and Jessel with your white ass houses,
- 44:16I can't. This is just not practical with kids. Stop stop it.
- 44:22Yeah, and then like to be like upset. She actually didn't get
- 44:25as upset as I'm sure she probably would have liked to have. But the
- 44:29cameras were on her. But you set the table for this child, for
- 44:34this something to happen. You have absolutely no right to be angry or disappointed
- 44:38or upset. Uh. It's called just get child friendly things and expect that
- 44:45it will be destroyed, or like, get ruggabules on top, put ruggables
- 44:51down on top of your carpet. For the problems, I've got rocks.
- 44:58Oh my gosh. Well, we do get a little scene with Jenna and
- 45:02the architect, and she's into interior design. She renovated a brownstone that she
- 45:07got for Hampshire. So I didn't know. Oh I didn't know that.
- 45:14I haven't watched shit Spreads. Okay, that's Emily. So what characters did
- 45:17she play on that? She's the regular? Remember her? Oh yeah,
- 45:22yeah, yeah, she runs the hotel before they arrived, Like she's a
- 45:29character. Yeah, character, that's so cool. Well, they apparently were
- 45:37set up, but I love that they just like, you know, they
- 45:39didn't have a romantic interest, but they continue to be friends. And she's
- 45:43making, you know, designing this Canadian On the notes it said Canadian playhouse.
- 45:49Yes, well, I mean but it's her house, right, Yeah,
- 45:53so she went in coffins for the nursery, right right. And I
- 46:00love that she was really hard plugging those love scene lashes. That was great.
- 46:04I know that was really cool. Yeah. I love that that was
- 46:07women supporting women. I was like, I want to get some Yeah,
- 46:12well that really wraps up. Oh shit, No, Jenna is single.
- 46:16Jenna say she's single. And also Meredith and Brooks were ethic it together.
- 46:22Oh my god, thank you for bringing that up. She's like, Aaron's
- 46:28like, you have to come to my shabbat. We'll have no food.
- 46:30I would love that, Like, yeah, we would love that. This
- 46:37is a great party. I am just like, can I be a speaker
- 46:42too? That was amazing. How do they know each other? Who knows?
- 46:51Who knows? It's anybody's guests. Okay, but Jenna single and she's
- 46:54saying like she's making moves. So now I'm wondering, do you think the
- 46:59woman that she's with now is the same woman that she was with her and
- 47:02shooting they just got back together? Yeah, I think I read that.
- 47:06Yeah, I could be mistaken, but I think that's what I read.
- 47:09That they were on again off again. Oh okay, good, all right,
- 47:14great? Yeah, great, Well that's that. That is that.
- 47:19Let's talk about Oh yeah, we got to talk about crappy wig and this
- 47:23is the last Nelly I know. Amy. I cried at the end.
- 47:29I got a little choked up too. I mean Greg Mills, Greg Mills.
- 47:35What was his name? Wait? Greg? Greg? Greg? Yeah,
- 47:39I know, But isn't that Is that Greg? His name too,
- 47:43Craig Mills, isn't it? Yeah? I know Greg Mills, but it's
- 47:45Greg Craig. Okay, okay, I'm getting him confused, Greg Mills.
- 47:50We both know Greg Mills. I'm sure we all know Greg. Great guy,
- 47:55Second City alum, Greg Mills. But not the gentleman in Benton that
- 48:00was crying his eyes out over that warmed his art and just the residents they
- 48:08you know, other than the guy with the sign at the end that said
- 48:12show us your tits. You know, they really showed up for these ladies
- 48:16at the end, and tell guy got me the hotel. Hotel guy got
- 48:22yeah, that's what I was like, I'm fine, I'm fine. What
- 48:24okay? I know because he was one of the ones that I thought had
- 48:30his guard up and was kind of like along for the ride and pretty cool,
- 48:34but I didn't know he was getting emotionally invested. And I thought it
- 48:37was really sweet, so sweet, And they have a Benton billboard? How
- 48:43much does that cost? That could have gone towards the playground. I was
- 48:46like, is that green screen? You know what? I mean? Oh,
- 48:51good call. But they have them like out the window. But I
- 48:55wonder if they're like, we're gonna do like a green screen billboards. So
- 49:00yeah, because why wouldn't the town met at the billboard. Wouldn't that have
- 49:02been the better? It's way out, I mean, it's all the freeway,
- 49:06Emily, I mean, well it's not there's not. The point is
- 49:09not many people are coming or going into Benton, so they could have gone
- 49:13to that billboard. I mean it's a fair point. But I'm just supporting
- 49:19your green screen, I know, because been much better visual than the town
- 49:22around that. I know you're right. Well, Lou's Broadway director is there,
- 49:30Richard J. Alexander. And then the editing of hearing Lou walk into
- 49:36the theater. I need to see the doctor for parasites because I still lose
- 49:38the ships and I forgot my underwear. Poor Lou. Here she is dealing
- 49:46with the ships in Benton, which no surprise, but like she's plugging her
- 49:52way through this. You know that's got to be very uncomfortable. Well,
- 49:58I appreciated that, even with what I thought was could could be considered kind
- 50:04of a low stakes thing where it's just like they're hosting this like little follies.
- 50:08Like Lou was actually as nervous as though she was like performing like fun,
- 50:14yeah Broadway or something. Yes, I loved how serious she took it.
- 50:20And the rehearsal was such a hot mess. Yes, I mean I
- 50:24it started off fun with her looking at the theater seat, saying like I
- 50:29like to stand on stage and look and just take it all in. That's
- 50:31what I do before my cam rays. And then she's and Sony's like I
- 50:38guy, and Lou's like you rehearse it? Just shocked. I'm like,
- 50:44that's a read but then the arguing and lou stomping off. You know that
- 50:50was intense because I did see like a little bit of both points. Sonya
- 50:54was like, he needs Corny Cox needs the changes. You have changes,
- 51:00and then but they're wasting time and and once you heard the song, I'm
- 51:02like, I don't think any giving Courtney the changes would have mattered. And
- 51:07long No, with that rap that they had, I mean, it was
- 51:13something else they they they had some lyrics in there and they you know,
- 51:17Courtney Cox was following along, and you know, they did exactly what it
- 51:22had to be. It was going to kill no matter what because they're naming
- 51:29people in the audience and making a personal Yeah it's kill City. You went,
- 51:35yeah, absolutely absolutely. It didn't need to be any better. And
- 51:38it wasn't even that it could have been worse. It just was what it
- 51:43was. It wasn't going to ever be like this epic, but it was
- 51:46it going to become a single. No, Well, I'm sure leu Anne
- 51:50would have loved that, but it's not going to make the cut. But
- 51:54I did love you know what they did. It's the But they do have
- 51:58two completely different styles of you know, their musical talent, so it was
- 52:01hard to blend the two. Yeah, but I did the direction to have
- 52:07them come out like that was very good, mister Alexander. I appreciated that.
- 52:13Yeah, yep, and uh and I love that. Luanne was like
- 52:17I might do an Ariana Grande Ariana Grandie grande tony. Oh my god,
- 52:24that was so funny. And then the first singer didn't have a microphone.
- 52:28She's standing out there. That was weird. Yeah, but par for the
- 52:31course on something like this. You know, like they had that one tech
- 52:35rehearsal and they basically they that was it. It wasn't like they had like
- 52:40multiple dress rehearsals where they were going to iron all this stuff up out multiply,
- 52:45you know, like it was kind of I can't I can't believe that
- 52:49was the only thing that went wrong. Yeah, you're right. Well,
- 52:53Paula Abdul was very involved. She was scurrying backstage to get to her girls.
- 52:59I was very impressed with that, and also, oh my gosh,
- 53:04such a professional. I wondered where I think that Michael, I'm sorry,
- 53:10Richard J. Alexander slept in the hotel, but I'm wondering where Paula slept
- 53:15because I don't think they put her up in the Benton Hotel good because Jen,
- 53:20Yeah, because Richard did make a comment about the motel, But I
- 53:23don't know. Maybe that was just for the show. Sonya eating like right
- 53:30before the show. Wow, I cannot do that. Oh I cannot do
- 53:34that. And Lou said it too, She's like, how can you eat?
- 53:37Like I'm so nervous. But I guess you know that makes everyone's Yeah,
- 53:42everybody's so different, Like I get. I always think that, like
- 53:45for something that I could do, someone's going to be the exact opposite.
- 53:49So that would be the exact opposite. Yeah, handle, Oh yeah,
- 53:52that was so funny. I mean she's shoving popcorn in her mouth before going
- 53:57on. That was amazing and boy oh boy, it was a success that
- 54:02it was a huge audience and I love the show. It was sad to
- 54:06see It's sad to see it ending, but they really proved themselves to be
- 54:10in two incredible ladies. We need these every summer, Bravo. If you're
- 54:15not going to give us the Summer by Bravo commercials anymore, then we need
- 54:19to have a crappy Lake style show every summer. And I'm not talking about
- 54:24stars on Mars, which has been fun. I am talking a crappy Lake
- 54:30style whipping it up and a small town and not that song what's so small
- 54:37talent's pissing everyone else, the John Mellencamp song. No, there's that song
- 54:44that you can't do that in a small town. Oh, I don't know,
- 54:46it's yeah, well whatever you out of there's no show. Oh okay,
- 54:54Well, sorry, don't know about it. Didn't do it, didn't
- 54:58do it wasn't made. But I really hope they do. So we've kind
- 55:02of talked about this. Yeah, give what what would be your ideal next?
- 55:07I said last week, I said trace AGAs, You're okay. I
- 55:12didn't hear that. That would be great. I think trace Megas would be
- 55:15good. How about you, I'm gonna say not trace Amgas. Well I'm
- 55:20not. I'm gonna say not Vicki only because she was such a fucking stick
- 55:23in the mud on the Peacock Girls trip that I'm oh, that's right.
- 55:29Tell everybody I died sad. That was so funny. That was so good.
- 55:32Though I know that that proves the point even more. I'm gonna say,
- 55:37Phedra and Derinda, but maybe you need to have two, you have
- 55:44to have same same. I don't know, but I would love freakin' frack.
- 55:49I would love a portion. And I was just gonna say great,
- 55:52yeah, okay, all right, well Emily, that's it for us.
