Speaker 1: I am recording this little mini episode because your girl
• 0:19
Speaker 1: it's a little off. Fuck listen. We recorded our podcast,
• 0:27
Speaker 1: which hopefully you just listened to. If you haven't listened
• 0:29
Speaker 1: to it, why are you listening to this first? That's weird.
• 0:33
Speaker 1: We recorded our episode on Monday, January thirty first, whatever
• 0:38
Speaker 1: day it was, and we waited. We specifically waited to
• 0:42
Speaker 1: record our podcast later on in the day because we
• 0:45
Speaker 1: found out that Tom Brady was going on a radio
• 0:47
Speaker 1: show and it was gonna be the first time that
• 0:49
Speaker 1: he was speaking to the public since this whole is
• 0:52
Speaker 1: he retiring? Is he not retiring debacle that happened in
• 0:55
Speaker 1: this past weekend. Okay, so we were like, oh my god,
• 0:58
Speaker 1: he's gonna come on. He's gonna be pissed off, he's
• 1:00
Speaker 1: gonna call out some people, and we're gonna have the
• 1:03
Speaker 1: first reaction to It's gonna be great. It's gonna be
• 1:05
Speaker 1: great for our bench franchise. That didn't happen. He had
• 1:09
Speaker 1: maybe the most vanilla interview that I've ever heard him have,
• 1:13
Speaker 1: and he's had some vanilla interviews, but bottom line is,
• 1:17
Speaker 1: he didn't retire. He said I'm gonna think I'm still
• 1:19
Speaker 1: thinking about it. I'm still working through it. So we
• 1:22
Speaker 1: went on to record our podcast and it was great.
• 1:24
Speaker 1: You should listen to it again again. Why are you
• 1:27
Speaker 1: listening to this first? And a couple hours later, our
• 1:33
Speaker 1: guy Tommy b posted an Instagram post or Twitter post
• 1:38
Speaker 1: saying that he is retiring The New York Jets just
• 1:44
Speaker 1: tweeted this better be real. Yeah. I think it is,
• 1:51
Speaker 1: you guys, and I think it is very anticlimactic. I
• 1:56
Speaker 1: thought we were gonna have some kind of like Steven
• 1:58
Speaker 1: Spielberg directed LG video or see You Later video. It
• 2:04
Speaker 1: was going to be beautiful. I'm sure it was all
• 2:06
Speaker 1: gonna make us pumped up and wish that he was
• 2:08
Speaker 1: still playing. But no, we may as well have gotten
• 2:12
Speaker 1: a TikTok video. Okay, bye Jackson Mahomes that Tom Brady
• 2:16
Speaker 1: wasn't even in. But we don't. We don't have any
• 2:19
Speaker 1: of those things. A lot of people are reacting to
• 2:23
Speaker 1: his goodbye because he did not thank the Patriots, He
• 2:28
Speaker 1: did not thank Bill Belichick, he did not thank Robert
• 2:31
Speaker 1: Kraft in his goodbye. He thanked just about literally every
• 2:35
Speaker 1: single person on the bucks down to like the security staff. Basically.
• 2:42
Speaker 1: So a lot of people are freaking out about that.
• 2:44
Speaker 1: But you gotta remember when he left the Patriots a
• 2:46
Speaker 1: couple of years ago, he did all of his goodbyes. Then,
• 2:48
Speaker 1: Oh I see right now, Belichick is trending. So that's nice.
• 2:51
Speaker 1: He did all of his goodbyes already. He doesn't need
• 2:53
Speaker 1: to do it again. But still maybe a little bit spicy.
• 2:58
Speaker 1: But people are posting there on just memories of him
• 3:01
Speaker 1: on Twitter right now. As I scroll John Gonzalez he
• 3:03
Speaker 1: raids for Sports Illustrated buddy of mine. He's like, I'm
• 3:06
Speaker 1: gonna miss him, and it's just a picture of Brady's
• 3:08
Speaker 1: pants ripped when he's playing golf. So many fund memories,
• 3:11
Speaker 1: you guys. But that's all we get. That's all we get.
• 3:16
Speaker 1: And you know what, maybe we deserve this because we
• 3:18
Speaker 1: are a culture that just needs need this news as
• 3:23
Speaker 1: soon as possible. No, I could have waited. I could
• 3:28
Speaker 1: have waited and let Brady have his moment. I don't
• 3:30
Speaker 1: know when. I just know he like a budget went
• 3:34
Speaker 1: into this goodbye, you know what I'm saying, Like a budget.
• 3:37
Speaker 1: There was a budget for the goodbye video, and we
• 3:41
Speaker 1: don't get that there was We get more from Gronk
• 3:45
Speaker 1: in his USAA videos that don't don't Why why we get?
• 3:53
Speaker 1: We get more from him in those videos than we
• 3:54
Speaker 1: did from a goodbye from Tom freaking Brady. It's early.
• 4:02
Speaker 1: I'm I'm cranky now. This is how my day's gonna start.
• 4:04
Speaker 1: I'm cranky. No more, Brady, we have nothing. Maybe I'll
• 4:10
Speaker 1: print off these good byes and post them up on
• 4:13
Speaker 1: my wall, frame them. I have to go tell my
• 4:18
Speaker 1: boyfriend now, who's still asleep, who is a huge Patriots fan,
• 4:22
Speaker 1: that Brady retired and didn't even think the Patriots. It's
• 4:25
Speaker 1: gonna be devastated. It's gonna be devastated. This is a a
