- 0:03Speaker 2: your pals.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Allen Repiday, REPI day, my Alan. How's it going?
- 0:07Speaker 3: You got the giggles? The giggles already, it's.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Spent a long time. We have oil Horse Brewing. I
- 0:13Speaker 2: don't know, I can't say that right, Oil Horse Brewing,
- 0:16Speaker 2: water Holer.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Again, water Holer.
- 0:18Speaker 2: They're from East Texas when we were draking from Longview, Texas,
- 0:21Speaker 2: when we're driving back from Alabama. Uh, this is a
- 0:24Speaker 2: Coalsh sixteen outs and that's one four point eight percent
- 0:26Speaker 2: alcohol volume, proudly brewed in long.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Twenty two IBus. The Colsh is a clean, crisp, easy
- 0:34Speaker 3: drinking German style ale that's fermented like in ale, but
- 0:38Speaker 3: finishes like a lagger. You can generally expect light mault character,
- 0:45Speaker 3: mild floral or herbal hop notes, crisp, dry finish, high drinkability.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Oh that's yeah, every like that, man.
- 0:55Speaker 3: I'm just I'm just telling you that.
- 0:56Speaker 2: The worst says a second, I'm gonna take a picture
- 0:58Speaker 2: of this is beautiful, beautiful peace we got here?
- 1:03Speaker 1: The hell's going on here? Why is this so close?
- 1:06Speaker 3: I don't know, but that's most delicious.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I had that when I rolled through the other day.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Cheers to you, buddy.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Chere's Maus and mass A.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Good things everybody.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Oh buddy, I had. I think this is what I
- 1:23Speaker 2: had when I rolled through. We stopped, so we're going
- 1:26Speaker 2: on our way back, and I was like, I don't
- 1:27Speaker 2: want to drive the whole way. Let's let's mix it
- 1:28Speaker 2: up a little bit.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Stop here, stop there, stopped in Tyler Top and stopped
- 1:32Speaker 1: in long View. And this one was really cool. Downtown Longview,
- 1:37Speaker 1: cool little area. The brewers really really looked super old.
- 1:42Speaker 1: I mean part of that old like brick walls and
- 1:44Speaker 1: the old town.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Yeah, like the old downtown look that you get those
- 1:47Speaker 3: small towns here in Texas exactly tixus.
- 1:50Speaker 2: It was awesome, very smooth, light malt and hop characters
- 1:53Speaker 2: was slightly a slight grassy flavor. Perfect period with a
- 1:57Speaker 2: hot summer and knowing your lawn.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Well we got the hot summer part. Yeah. Check did
- 2:03Speaker 1: you recently? I have not? I mean I gotta do
- 2:06Speaker 1: it tomorrow.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Oil and gas drilling require significant amounts of water and
- 2:11Speaker 2: also produces liquid waste and byproducts called production water, which
- 2:15Speaker 2: sometimes must haul out of the out of the well site.
- 2:19Speaker 2: That's where you get okay, oil.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Oil Horse, real community, real beer crafted to remove gluten.
- 2:28Speaker 1: They go, oh, look at that.
- 2:30Speaker 3: Well, that's fun. So if you're gluten sensitive, this could
- 2:32Speaker 3: be a good option because they.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Remove the gluten.
- 2:35Speaker 3: It's not good if you're gluten free because they'll still
- 2:37Speaker 3: be gluten in it. Yeah, if you have like a
- 2:39Speaker 3: sensitivity like het, just get an upset Tom.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Tom.
- 2:43Speaker 2: You know you're there at one oh one West Tyler Street,
- 2:46Speaker 2: long View. I think they're open every day. Oh, they're
- 2:49Speaker 2: closed on Mondays, okay, Oh and Sundays.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Oh. I had no idea breweries closed on Sunday. That's weird.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Go through there, well, I think I went here on
- 2:59Speaker 1: not Sunday or Monday. I got there right when I
- 3:01Speaker 1: was like, hey, there, it looks like they're about to open.
- 3:02Speaker 1: So that's why we detours, like, oh, we get there
- 3:04Speaker 1: right when they you know, open the doors or whatnot. Uh,
- 3:07Speaker 1: here's I don't know if I get.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Some pictures or not. I'm not showing the people. But
- 3:11Speaker 2: you know, cool joint, many really cool joint. A lot
- 3:17Speaker 2: of stuff on a lot of beers on tap. They
- 3:19Speaker 2: had a great selection. The beer to go was right
- 3:22Speaker 2: there next to the counter as well. They had singles,
- 3:24Speaker 2: which my favorite. Hey can I get some singles? And
- 3:26Speaker 2: because there's another place we went to and I'll talk
- 3:28Speaker 2: about it later that they didn't offer singles.
- 3:29Speaker 1: You gotta buy four packs. I only wanted one beer.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I was like, I.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Almost an you know what, I'm good. I was like,
- 3:37Speaker 3: screw it, but can I get an empty can and
- 3:39Speaker 3: a pint of this?
- 3:41Speaker 1: Dude?
- 3:43Speaker 2: This dude rolled in as I'm about to check out
- 3:46Speaker 2: or whatever, like six foot six, big old dude with
- 3:49Speaker 2: the other man, and he's like, I never had craft
- 3:51Speaker 2: beer before. I never had you know whatever, what's uh?
- 3:54Speaker 2: What's good? So she's kind of telling them different types
- 3:56Speaker 2: of beer styles. If he's never had beer, he's not
- 3:58Speaker 2: gonna know the styles of beer right right, And so
- 4:01Speaker 2: he's like talking about this and that, and you know,
- 4:03Speaker 2: they had also other things that weren't beer there, so
- 4:06Speaker 2: they had non beer products.
- 4:07Speaker 1: You know, he was like some white doctor pepper.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Yeah, but uh, they didn't have any spirits, but they
- 4:12Speaker 2: had like wine and something too.
- 4:13Speaker 1: So anyway, they're trying to help me. I go, I go, dude,
- 4:16Speaker 1: you can try them all. They'll hand you. They'll hand
- 4:18Speaker 1: you samples of all this stuff, and he's like, for
- 4:20Speaker 1: really yeah, and.
- 4:21Speaker 2: So he already had like one, I go, you can
- 4:22Speaker 2: ask for every one of them. Like they want you
- 4:25Speaker 2: to try, they want you to get something that you like. Uh.
- 4:27Speaker 2: And they were just the same, right, they were just
- 4:29Speaker 2: real friendly, real uh friendly beer tenders.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Uh. The crowd and there was kind of mixed between
- 4:34Speaker 1: like older and younger people. Really. Uh. It's just a
- 4:37Speaker 1: real cool place.
- 4:38Speaker 2: And they let they allow dogs inside, okay, And so
- 4:42Speaker 2: of course two was in there, just Parkour and off
- 4:44Speaker 2: for everything. Wants to get in everybody's buses. Parkore, Yeah,
- 4:46Speaker 2: wants to drink everybody's beer.
- 4:48Speaker 1: So really cool, really cool.
- 4:51Speaker 2: This is delicious, I will say, Yeah, it looks like
- 4:54Speaker 2: a cult you're supposed to look. Not a lot on
- 4:56Speaker 2: the carbonation, if you notice, Like I didn't really hard
- 4:58Speaker 2: for it, but the that's one thing that's missing. It's
- 5:01Speaker 2: got the perfect color. But yeah, when I cracked the can,
- 5:05Speaker 2: it bubbled up. So I mean obviously there was nothing
- 5:06Speaker 2: like problem with the leak or anything like that. But yeah,
- 5:08Speaker 2: just not a lot of carbonation with this one. But
- 5:10Speaker 2: the flavors there, you know, for the the smell, the look,
- 5:15Speaker 2: and the flavor checks all the boxes.
- 5:17Speaker 1: For a colt One.
- 5:19Speaker 3: And definitely crushable, right, Oh, it's definitely a crushable beer
- 5:23Speaker 3: that you can just take the pound town and have
- 5:25Speaker 3: a little bit of fun.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, yeah, absolutely so really cool place if
- 5:30Speaker 2: you're ever out in East Texas.
- 5:32Speaker 1: How far is Tyler from long with you? About an
- 5:33Speaker 1: hour and some change. I don't know like anybody could
- 5:36Speaker 1: even know that.
- 5:36Speaker 2: You can look it up on your phone, look it
- 5:37Speaker 2: up on on that but yeah, it's not far from
- 5:39Speaker 2: the DFW Metroplex, so easy to get to. Not far
- 5:42Speaker 2: from the highway either, you know. I was like, I
- 5:44Speaker 2: kind of want to come back out here and just
- 5:46Speaker 2: have a little Friday night action because it looked at.
- 5:47Speaker 1: A stage and stuff too, Okay, either a DJ or
- 5:50Speaker 1: some local music I'm sure, which is always fun, you know.
- 5:54Speaker 3: Cheers by cheers, malls and males.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Good, here's everybody finish it off.
- 6:01Speaker 3: I gets the thumbs up for me for sure, like
- 6:04Speaker 3: really good.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Yeah, like the can art. The only thing, like I
- 6:07Speaker 2: said about this one, is the carbonation. That's the only
- 6:10Speaker 2: thing it's missing, which I know you're a fan of
- 6:12Speaker 2: it not being there, because then.
- 6:14Speaker 1: All of a sudden you get the bubble and you know,
- 6:16Speaker 1: I mean, this is that.
- 6:17Speaker 3: I definitely want carbonation, right, I mean I can I
- 6:20Speaker 3: can handle the bubble, okay.
- 6:23Speaker 2: But it's just it just didn't have it throughout the beer,
- 6:27Speaker 2: and it dissipated pretty quickly. So with you get like
- 6:29Speaker 2: an expert on the horn to find out why that's
- 6:31Speaker 2: like that. Because when I opened it and I poured,
- 6:33Speaker 2: it looked like, you know, decent, not crazy. I mean,
- 6:36Speaker 2: it was dissipating pretty quick, but massive thumbs up. And
- 6:39Speaker 2: it's one of my favorite styles. So oh yeah, I
- 6:42Speaker 2: mean and Alston taps is pretty damn good. Oh yeah,
- 6:44Speaker 2: pretty good, pretty good, pretty good.
- 6:47Speaker 3: But yeah, well we got here water hauler from a
- 6:51Speaker 3: oil horse. You guys ever had that before? Oil horse?
- 6:55Speaker 3: Have you ever hauled water? Let us know after you
- 6:58Speaker 3: done hauling it, what do you do with it? I
- 7:01Speaker 3: don't know where your backyard.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Place for there's a place.
- 7:05Speaker 3: It's just like the trash dump, but it's the water dump.
- 7:09Speaker 1: I don't know. See you don't know. That's why I'm
- 7:12Speaker 1: asking the people.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Tell us where you haul it. As always, guys, I'm alan,
- 7:17Speaker 3: We'll talk to you later.
- 7:19Speaker 1: There's this
