- 0:03Speaker 2: Flynn as Hester and Hester.
- 0:07Speaker 1: From carrying each other to and Natty to carrying each
- 0:11Speaker 1: other on the air Control Live from the Mercedes Benz
- 0:18Speaker 1: Baton Rouge Studio.
- 0:20Speaker 2: It's off the bench, all right, welcome back here.
- 0:47Speaker 3: This microphone it needs to go to good one doesn't.
- 0:55Speaker 4: How can we fix that microphone?
- 0:58Speaker 3: I hate this. Cassie set me up for failure today
- 1:02Speaker 3: on purpose. She walked in here said I'm giving him that.
- 1:06Speaker 5: She didn't put her card up there. We didn't put
- 1:09Speaker 5: our card up Cassie. Wow, a mic over here the show?
- 1:14Speaker 3: Okay, yeahs like a little like a little mole, A
- 1:18Speaker 3: little mole in the show. Right, well, plan center in here. Hey,
- 1:22Speaker 3: you ruin OTB got it? Mess it up? A droopy
- 1:26Speaker 3: mic and don't set their card up.
- 1:29Speaker 6: Messed up, Cassie, messed up.
- 1:31Speaker 4: I'm sorry. I'll do better, be better.
- 1:34Speaker 3: I actually feel bad.
- 1:37Speaker 6: Why did you have to say so nicely?
- 1:38Speaker 3: I know, gosh, I'm sorry. I did find out finally
- 1:41Speaker 3: how much twelve personnel the Philadelphia Eagles use last year
- 1:46Speaker 3: and why it's important for the New Orleans Saints hit
- 1:48Speaker 3: me with it this year to maybe sign Noah Fense
- 1:51Speaker 3: because two tight ends right now on the shelf thirty
- 1:53Speaker 3: six of the time, which is a lot. You know,
- 1:57Speaker 3: ten years ago that would not have felt like a
- 1:58Speaker 3: big number, and maybe in twelve personnel, but in today's football,
- 2:01Speaker 3: that is a big number. Thirty six percent of the
- 2:03Speaker 3: time you had two tight ends on the field.
- 2:07Speaker 5: Yeah, it's and we were talking about this, like, twelve
- 2:12Speaker 5: personnel is not the same twelve personnel in the modern
- 2:15Speaker 5: day football as it was twenty years ago because there's
- 2:20Speaker 5: most of the tight ends back then we're just more traditional,
- 2:23Speaker 5: bought first past second type guys. But now the twelve personnel,
- 2:28Speaker 5: with the evolution of the tight end position, you got
- 2:31Speaker 5: you have a lot of the traditional.
- 2:33Speaker 6: Guys the old school.
- 2:34Speaker 5: I can do both, you know, blocking, you know, sixty passing,
- 2:38Speaker 5: forty percent, whatever it does. You have different types of
- 2:41Speaker 5: tight ends. You have your pass catching that you can
- 2:42Speaker 5: split out, so you can do a lot more. So
- 2:44Speaker 5: it actually kind of takes the place of twenty one
- 2:48Speaker 5: personnel and eleven personnel because tight end is being utilized
- 2:52Speaker 5: as a fullback in the running game a lot more
- 2:55Speaker 5: than it used to be.
- 2:56Speaker 6: Yeah, for sure, so that's kind.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Of don't really exist anymore.
- 2:59Speaker 5: They don't really exists because you can utilize them with
- 3:01Speaker 5: the tight ends because the tight ends a little bit
- 3:03Speaker 5: more athletic these days and stronger and just it's just
- 3:06Speaker 5: a different position. And then they have the passing.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Well, but they can yeah, they can do more.
- 3:10Speaker 5: Right, Yeah, But then you have the ones that are
- 3:13Speaker 5: kind of glorified receivers.
- 3:15Speaker 3: True, if they're an F they'll never be confused for
- 3:18Speaker 3: a Y.
- 3:19Speaker 5: But it's all the same y'all twelve personnel. But that
- 3:21Speaker 5: goes to show like, but to your point, Kellamore does
- 3:25Speaker 5: want to utilize the tight ends. And when we talk
- 3:29Speaker 5: about it, here, the best teams in the NFL, the
- 3:31Speaker 5: best offenses in the NFL are utilizing under center and
- 3:36Speaker 5: more traditional personnels than the teams that are going and
- 3:40Speaker 5: strictly and gun. And I believe that that's the way
- 3:43Speaker 5: college football will eventually follow that, and it's it goes
- 3:47Speaker 5: it's cyclical football cycle, Like, oh, for sure, offenses wanted
- 3:51Speaker 5: to go more gun defense is caught up. All right, Well,
- 3:53Speaker 5: we got to go back under center and do more
- 3:54Speaker 5: traditional things. And you can do two years ago exactly.
- 3:57Speaker 5: So lived in twenty one personnel. So the offenses some
- 4:00Speaker 5: of the best offenses in the NFL. So you look
- 4:03Speaker 5: at the Eagles, look at the Niners, the Chiefs, Packers, Lions.
- 4:08Speaker 5: You look at those guys and what are they doing.
- 4:10Speaker 5: I'd love to see the stats top five offenses in
- 4:13Speaker 5: the NFL last year what their percentage underneath the center
- 4:16Speaker 5: was and then the gun. So we'll see, which is
- 4:22Speaker 5: kind of interesting for our quarterbacks for the Saints. Yeah,
- 4:27Speaker 5: how many under center STAPs did Spencer Rattler take in college?
- 4:30Speaker 6: How many did Schuck take?
- 4:33Speaker 3: I would say none, Yeah for Spencer, Yeah, Chuck took
- 4:38Speaker 3: a Jeff brom has some some pro principles, not a
- 4:41Speaker 3: ton right, I act like he took forty.
- 4:45Speaker 5: Maybe that's something to look at as far as if
- 4:47Speaker 5: you're looking for something to hang your hat on or
- 4:51Speaker 5: talk about in a quarterback competition.
- 4:54Speaker 3: More comfortable under center because Jalen Hurts was under center
- 4:58Speaker 3: a lot. I mean I remember seeing them. Yeah he
- 5:01Speaker 3: should be because you have the best running back in
- 5:03Speaker 3: the NFL behind you. So there's no better play to
- 5:06Speaker 3: me than hard play action with a running back like
- 5:10Speaker 3: say Kwon Barkley, where the linebackers are basically at the
- 5:12Speaker 3: line of scrimmage and then they're oh blank, yeah, and
- 5:15Speaker 3: they try to get back into their coverage lanes.
- 5:17Speaker 6: Yeah, there's a difference.
- 5:18Speaker 5: So one huge advantage to being under center is a
- 5:21Speaker 5: quarterback turning us back to the defense. When you turn
- 5:25Speaker 5: your back to the defense, it puts the defense on
- 5:27Speaker 5: their heels a little bit. It gives them whether it's
- 5:29Speaker 5: a split second or a full second, it's not that
- 5:32Speaker 5: much time, but it makes them hesitate because they can't
- 5:36Speaker 5: see the ball. When you can't see a football, you hesitate.
- 5:42Speaker 5: And whether all it takes is a split second for
- 5:46Speaker 5: a receiver or a tight end to get by you
- 5:48Speaker 5: or gain the leverage or outflank you.
- 5:50Speaker 6: And so playing with.
- 5:51Speaker 5: Your quarterback playing with his back to a defense is
- 5:53Speaker 5: a huge advantage. And you don't get that in the
- 5:56Speaker 5: traditional clap system gun and you just don't unless you
- 6:00Speaker 5: go into a pistol and you make like a very
- 6:02Speaker 5: valiant effort cognitive decision to say, all right, we want
- 6:06Speaker 5: to turn our back to the defense.
- 6:08Speaker 6: That's what you're missing.
- 6:09Speaker 5: But you're seeing that come back around the play action
- 6:12Speaker 5: and just strictly under centered because the quarterback, it's a
- 6:14Speaker 5: huge advantage because you know where everybody's going to be, right,
- 6:18Speaker 5: so you can turn your back. The defense doesn't know
- 6:20Speaker 5: where you're trying to go, so it hesitant. It makes
- 6:24Speaker 5: people hesitate. So I think it's a huge advantage. And
- 6:26Speaker 5: what college football is kind of missing right now is
- 6:29Speaker 5: that element of the game. Whether it's just even just
- 6:31Speaker 5: a little bit even ten percent of the time, right,
- 6:34Speaker 5: that would be a huge benefit I think to most offense.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Befit the running back as well, My god, in alignement
- 6:43Speaker 3: going sideline like sideline the sideline and turning your numbers
- 6:46Speaker 3: to the sideline to run power and counter and it's gross.
- 6:50Speaker 3: I hate it.
- 6:51Speaker 5: And you just think about, like turning your back for
- 6:53Speaker 5: a quarterback if you're not raised to do that and
- 6:57Speaker 5: have done it and have that in your foundation of
- 6:59Speaker 5: your training, Yeah, it's hard to do. Like it's just
- 7:03Speaker 5: a hard thing to say. All right, Hey, take a
- 7:05Speaker 5: step under center, be super casual and common a pro
- 7:08Speaker 5: about it. Yeah, turn your back and then flip your
- 7:11Speaker 5: head around, find the safeties, find where your guys are.
- 7:13Speaker 5: That takes training, right, And like we're I didn't even
- 7:17Speaker 5: think about this going into this segment, Like we're just
- 7:19Speaker 5: kind of talking this out. But like, if Spencer Ratler's
- 7:21Speaker 5: never done that, that's an adjustment he has to make.
- 7:23Speaker 5: I don't even know how much they did it last
- 7:25Speaker 5: year with the Saints. I'm sure it is year two,
- 7:27Speaker 5: so I'm sure it's way more comfortable this year. But
- 7:30Speaker 5: I don't know about the history of Schuck and how
- 7:33Speaker 5: hard it could be if he hadn't doesn't have that
- 7:35Speaker 5: foundation in those principles.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Man, Okay, let me ask you this then, because Spencer
- 7:40Speaker 3: Rattler is not the biggest quarterback, right, he's six foot even.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Probably that might even be like, yeah, yeah, Teller Check's
- 7:48Speaker 3: a big fellow, all right. So when you're under center,
- 7:52Speaker 3: hard play action, because once you hit your back foot,
- 7:56Speaker 3: there's a lot a lot of things in front of you.
- 8:00Speaker 3: It gets loud in there. For a shorter quarterback like that,
- 8:04Speaker 3: is it more difficult to try to find your target
- 8:07Speaker 3: compared to somebody like Tyler Shuck?
- 8:09Speaker 5: I mean, I think the easy answer is going to
- 8:11Speaker 5: be yes, But I don't honestly know. I was never
- 8:14Speaker 5: a short quarterback. I quarter six one quarter. But I
- 8:19Speaker 5: can say that the like the the myth against short
- 8:22Speaker 5: quarterbacks has kind of been like myth busted because we
- 8:27Speaker 5: have shorter quarterbacks that do it.
- 8:28Speaker 6: At a high level.
- 8:29Speaker 3: You got something like, I mean, so you.
- 8:33Speaker 5: Got Russell, you got Kylie, you got Bryce, you got
- 8:35Speaker 5: you had Drew. How many short quarterbacks are playing? Yeah,
- 8:38Speaker 5: I mean the NFL at a high level, and.
- 8:39Speaker 3: You pick is not playing at a high level, but
- 8:41Speaker 3: he's gonna probably be the starter. Dylan Gabriel got drafted.
- 8:44Speaker 6: How tall is to.
- 8:47Speaker 7: Not?
- 8:51Speaker 6: So? I think there's proof that it can.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Be done official height not.
- 8:56Speaker 5: Not that's what they just said at the combine to
- 8:59Speaker 5: it to official height not not six.
- 9:05Speaker 3: Six six yeah, eleven probably not. So. Katie and I
- 9:11Speaker 3: were watching The Materialists with Captain America. Yeah, and so
- 9:20Speaker 3: like in the movie, she is like a matchmaker. In
- 9:24Speaker 3: every conversation that she started, like trying to find a
- 9:27Speaker 3: match was like height and then salary, like he's blank high,
- 9:32Speaker 3: here's the salary. Like and the whole movie was like
- 9:36Speaker 3: basically about like you had to be a certain height
- 9:40Speaker 3: you had, Like they kept talking about height over and
- 9:42Speaker 3: over and over again. It's like he's five ten. It's like,
- 9:45Speaker 3: so he's five eight more five eight, right, And like
- 9:48Speaker 3: that was Pedro's And sorry if you hadn't seen it yet.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Spoiler alert on the materialist uh Pedro's character in the movie,
- 9:57Speaker 3: he was five six yeah, and had a surgery where
- 9:59Speaker 3: he broke his legs add six inches.
- 10:02Speaker 4: To my wait. I think that's a real thing.
- 10:04Speaker 3: I think it is. Yeah, and they like they talked
- 10:06Speaker 3: about it. He's like, well, I had no confidence. I
- 10:08Speaker 3: couldn't talk to a girl, but now I got these
- 10:10Speaker 3: extrating I'm like, what y'all not know? Low man wins I'm.
- 10:14Speaker 5: Talking about here on the dating game.
- 10:17Speaker 3: So like again, I'm I got five eleven at the combine,
- 10:20Speaker 3: I'm five to ten. I don't know why, why do
- 10:22Speaker 3: we got to do that? Why we got to be
- 10:23Speaker 3: listed six to one in the program over five eleven?
- 10:27Speaker 3: Just be yourself. Yeah, don't know the six to two
- 10:30Speaker 3: in a quarter in there.
- 10:31Speaker 5: I think it's your position. It's better, is like the
- 10:37Speaker 5: only tall right now? If you got it, if you
- 10:39Speaker 5: have that quarter, you talk about it, you bring it up,
- 10:43Speaker 5: because that's.
- 10:43Speaker 3: A five to ten and a half.
- 10:45Speaker 5: Why not that's I'm five to ten.
- 10:47Speaker 3: I'm not five eleven.
- 10:50Speaker 5: Ask my children how old they are right now?
- 10:53Speaker 3: Exactly. It's very childish nine and a half. I'm ten
- 10:59Speaker 3: and a half.
- 11:02Speaker 5: If God gave you an extra quarter an inch you
- 11:04Speaker 5: tell people about it. Sorry, sorry, people that are six too,
- 11:08Speaker 5: I'm taller than you.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Yeah, but like you've got over the I got you
- 11:12Speaker 3: you better than you got over six foot. So just
- 11:15Speaker 3: say if you're.
- 11:15Speaker 6: Six two and a half, you're taller than me.
- 11:17Speaker 3: Cassie. When you tell somebody how tall you are, do
- 11:19Speaker 3: you give any kind of half or quarter measurements? No?
- 11:24Speaker 4: Sorry, No, I'm just five too.
- 11:25Speaker 7: Yeah, okay, are you five too?
- 11:28Speaker 6: Are you five quarter?
- 11:30Speaker 4: I might be five to one in a quarter?
- 11:33Speaker 6: Rounds up around now?
- 11:35Speaker 4: Last time I measured myself, like, I think I'm five.
- 11:38Speaker 3: To true circle. I did it yesterday. What because of
- 11:42Speaker 3: the movie, I'm like, is it that big a deal
- 11:44Speaker 3: to be under like five five ten and a half?
- 11:48Speaker 3: Oh a half? Yeah, I feel better and a half?
- 11:52Speaker 6: People? Would you round up? Around down?
- 11:55Speaker 3: Round down?
- 11:55Speaker 6: Always?
- 11:55Speaker 5: What if you if you're five ten and three quarters?
- 11:59Speaker 4: I think if you're three quarters you can round up.
- 12:01Speaker 3: No, but I don't need to about what six tenths?
- 12:06Speaker 6: Otherwise those three fess.
- 12:09Speaker 3: Do you got over the threshold of six foot six two,
- 12:12Speaker 3: six two and a.
- 12:13Speaker 5: Quarter, Like I said, if you're six two, I'm taller
- 12:15Speaker 5: than you.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Do you say I'm forty in a quarter now.
- 12:21Speaker 6: Age.
- 12:22Speaker 5: No, I think you're a little bit more stuck on
- 12:23Speaker 5: the my new shi of our age than I am.
- 12:26Speaker 3: No, forty.
- 12:27Speaker 5: They always say you got seniority on me somehow. No,
- 12:30Speaker 5: it's like you just you're just warned. Okay, So here's
- 12:34Speaker 5: the argument. In college, he always said he had seniority
- 12:36Speaker 5: because he's a month older than me. Yeah, And I said,
- 12:39Speaker 5: seniority means like a senior that is a year that
- 12:42Speaker 5: you are in school. I have been in school one
- 12:44Speaker 5: year longer than you. Yeah, because I went to high
- 12:46Speaker 5: school at a normal age instead of report evangel then
- 12:50Speaker 5: going to middle school with mustaches.
- 12:52Speaker 6: So I have seniority on you even though you're older
- 12:55Speaker 6: than me. I've been at the school longer, you know.
- 12:57Speaker 4: For you, I think I'm with you on this one.
- 12:59Speaker 7: I can back context in that context that he's giving it.
- 13:03Speaker 6: I think that's the only context.
- 13:05Speaker 3: Like I had a a but like here the bottles
- 13:08Speaker 3: in before you came to this world.
- 13:10Speaker 6: Yeah, you have seniority, and obviously.
- 13:12Speaker 7: In radio life, but a lot of contexts of school
- 13:16Speaker 7: we didn't really like that.
- 13:17Speaker 3: It really used to be in Yeah, for sure. For
- 13:19Speaker 3: four years we talked about it.
- 13:22Speaker 4: Okay, no, I think it's five six and a half.
- 13:25Speaker 4: But I just say five six you ask me?
- 13:28Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I guess when I want to.
- 13:30Speaker 4: Maybe I grew who knows, maybe I'm five to seven.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Now.
- 13:33Speaker 5: In our profession, people are so concerned about a height.
- 13:35Speaker 5: When we're doing it, you get measured a lot, so
- 13:37Speaker 5: you know exactly what you are, So why not just
- 13:39Speaker 5: say it? You got the information, tell it. Most people
- 13:42Speaker 5: don't have the information because they don't measure themselves.
- 13:45Speaker 4: Right, Me and te Bob had the same size hands.
- 13:48Speaker 6: You'll do and you don't have big hands.
- 13:53Speaker 4: Me and Taylors are like about the same size too.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Yeah not me? Yeah yeah eleven that's not big. You're
- 14:00Speaker 3: nine inch king enough to so the hell of a football?
- 14:03Speaker 3: I just asked chat GPT how tall I was? Would
- 14:07Speaker 3: it say five eleven?
- 14:11Speaker 6: Liar?
- 14:12Speaker 5: We knew chat Gpt is a liar. No, I'm not
- 14:15Speaker 5: saying you're.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Like, I'm not lying. I'm trying to round down. Hell,
- 14:18Speaker 3: So if it say, is it a quarter for you?
- 14:21Speaker 3: I swear to God, come on, come on six three?
- 14:26Speaker 5: Searching the web, mhm, I like this six two six
- 14:32Speaker 5: dash two.
- 14:34Speaker 3: And no, no other measurements, no other measurements.
- 14:36Speaker 6: Weird, one hundred and eighty eight centimeters.
- 14:38Speaker 7: Actually, well, did you know the drummer from Maroon Five's
- 14:41Speaker 7: name is Matt Flinn?
- 14:41Speaker 3: Yes? Really, I did not know that.
- 14:44Speaker 4: I don't know that either until you get.
- 14:45Speaker 6: Tagged a lot of stuff.
- 14:46Speaker 5: Really, I was like, yeah, yeah, ah, some concerts in Brazil.
- 14:51Speaker 5: Hell yeah, hell yeah, thanks Bro. I used to respond
- 14:54Speaker 5: to him and'll be like, hell yeah, dude, thanks dude.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Your middle name is not Clayton though.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Yeah, your your Twitter handles tear? Can I just say that?
- 15:01Speaker 3: And it kind of bothers me a little bit.
- 15:03Speaker 5: I mean, I am there in three. There wasn't any
- 15:06Speaker 5: like you wore three for three strategy.
- 15:10Speaker 3: So I was it should be Matt Flynn's.
- 15:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:13Speaker 5: And in college it's how it all came about. In college,
- 15:16Speaker 5: I was inflant three at LSU dot EEDU, I wass two,
- 15:20Speaker 5: So I just used that. I mean, it's just easy.
- 15:23Speaker 5: That's terrible.
- 15:24Speaker 3: It's a terrible handle. You know, you can change it,
- 15:26Speaker 3: it's not too late.
- 15:27Speaker 5: And then it was like back in the day when
- 15:29Speaker 5: Facebook was starting, You're you had to have a university
- 15:32Speaker 5: login to be able to get a Facebook account, so
- 15:35Speaker 5: that was attached to my Facebook account, so it was
- 15:37Speaker 5: inflant three there and I was like, I don't know.
- 15:39Speaker 5: I'm just too lazy to change it. Don't really care.
- 15:42Speaker 5: It's a big deal. I didn't know it'd come up.
- 15:44Speaker 5: And twenty twenty five on July twenty fifth.
- 15:49Speaker 3: So my mine used to be Jacob Ester twenty two
- 15:51Speaker 3: because when I made I was in the NFL. And
- 15:53Speaker 3: Peter Burns back to TV again. He was so mad
- 15:56Speaker 3: that I didn't have eighteen. It's like that makes no
- 15:58Speaker 3: like really, like that makes no sense. Well you have
- 16:00Speaker 3: twenty two? Was like, that's number aware I got. I
- 16:01Speaker 3: got twenty two tattooed on my body, Like what do
- 16:03Speaker 3: you mean? Like, yeah, but you were. I'm like all right,
- 16:06Speaker 3: so my god, dude, back up, I'll change it. WHOA,
- 16:08Speaker 3: So I'm gonna be that to you now.
- 16:09Speaker 6: What was your aim screen name?
- 16:12Speaker 3: No doubt, freight thirteen train. I wore thirteen in high school.
- 16:17Speaker 3: The radio announcer you used to call me freight train
- 16:18Speaker 3: when I run the I ran the football. I have
- 16:21Speaker 3: friends to this day that still call me freight just
- 16:23Speaker 3: like it was a fright. I'm like out of context.
- 16:26Speaker 3: That's probably a little weird. So it was freight thirteen train.
- 16:30Speaker 3: But mine was, uh, if you don't remember, you weren't
- 16:36Speaker 3: on there.
- 16:37Speaker 6: No, I was on it.

- 18:31Speaker 6: I've been to Thibodeaut there at.
- 18:33Speaker 5: Their headquarters, and you truly have a grocery store and
- 18:35Speaker 5: a local market that care. They care about the food

- 18:42Speaker 5: get your grocery shop and done at local Rowse's market.
- 18:47Speaker 8: Hi you can two certain comes.
- 19:07Speaker 1: From the locker room to the airwaves gets off the
- 19:10Speaker 1: bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 19:17Speaker 8: So when we found we could not make sense, well
- 19:21Speaker 8: you said, do we would still be friends?
- 19:26Speaker 3: Clad?
- 19:27Speaker 2: That was over?
- 19:37Speaker 3: Okay, what a ready for that?
- 19:43Speaker 7: This is like the only song I know besides the
- 19:46Speaker 7: first one I played that Matt said was aggressive.
- 19:48Speaker 4: This one, Yeah, and it's good.
- 19:56Speaker 5: Like I like the d M that's got a little
- 19:59Speaker 5: bit more musical fla to like he got the hardcore
- 20:01Speaker 5: that's just like electric music. I like the ones, got
- 20:05Speaker 5: a little intro, Mud got the little do.
- 20:07Speaker 4: You like their house music?
- 20:10Speaker 6: That's probably better? I like lyrics?
- 20:12Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 20:14Speaker 3: God, did did techno make its way to Tyler, Texas
- 20:19Speaker 3: switch Out? Oh my gosh it was. It was like
- 20:21Speaker 3: a small little moment in tree for that where techno
- 20:26Speaker 3: it didn't reach my car. No, I mean I would
- 20:29Speaker 3: never have a fan. And maybe it was because so
- 20:32Speaker 3: I went to a super religious school and a lot
- 20:35Speaker 3: of the parents are like, no secular music, and they're like, well,
- 20:38Speaker 3: we can get away with techno because there's technically no words.
- 20:41Speaker 3: So maybe that was what we had to play. Kurt
- 20:45Speaker 3: Franklin and our pre and that was like a big
- 20:49Speaker 3: deal that we got him, like many.
- 20:52Speaker 4: Christians.
- 20:53Speaker 3: I told you we got away with Creed because Scott
- 20:55Speaker 3: Stack came to a game. Okay, so into that, like
- 21:00Speaker 3: this is two thousand and one, it's like the height
- 21:03Speaker 3: of Creed. Well, so brock Berlin grew up in Orlando
- 21:09Speaker 3: until he was like in middle school age maybe and
- 21:12Speaker 3: him and Scott were friends from that. So Scott, no,
- 21:16Speaker 3: so Scott's that came to a game, he was on
- 21:18Speaker 3: the sidelines. I can think about that, like two thousand
- 21:20Speaker 3: and one, the Freed lead singer, like this a big deal.
- 21:23Speaker 3: So of course like his evangel like they wouldn't let
- 21:27Speaker 3: you play secondary music, but they'd sell out real quick
- 21:29Speaker 3: if somebody famous was there. And we like Creed pre
- 21:32Speaker 3: game and so imagine going from Kirk Franklin stomp, which
- 21:35Speaker 3: is a banger, don't get me wrong, but that's like
- 21:38Speaker 3: all you could hear, and like sometimes we get like
- 21:40Speaker 3: the Brave Heart theme music like instrumental. Like, so we
- 21:43Speaker 3: go from that to being able to play Creed A
- 21:47Speaker 3: big deal, A big deal. We were ready to go.
- 21:51Speaker 3: So y'all played on Fridays. So was he there?
- 21:54Speaker 6: The friday after he took flight.
- 21:58Speaker 3: I don't know, people didn't like even really make it
- 22:03Speaker 3: a big as big of a deal as it should
- 22:05Speaker 3: have been. That he was at a high.
- 22:06Speaker 6: School football Now, that's a big deal in.
- 22:08Speaker 3: Two thousand and one. It'd be a big deal now,
- 22:10Speaker 3: but two thousand and one.
- 22:12Speaker 5: Like I remember, it was like a big deal when
- 22:14Speaker 5: two thousand six Sugar Tim mcgrawl's on the sideline of
- 22:16Speaker 5: the Sugar Bowl in two thousand and six he was
- 22:20Speaker 5: at the time Creed's height. Yeah, high school football team.
- 22:26Speaker 6: I mean, b brock Berlin, I mean, does.
- 22:30Speaker 5: It touched by an angel Man, Golden arm friends with
- 22:34Speaker 5: the Creed lead singer.
- 22:36Speaker 3: He had it all when an arnge Bowl played in
- 22:38Speaker 3: the NFL, Gatoray Player of the Year, USA Today Player
- 22:41Speaker 3: of the Year. He has his own day in Shreeport.
- 22:46Speaker 6: He has a brock Berlin Day. What day is it?
- 22:48Speaker 3: Mark something? We had like whole ceremony in the gym
- 22:52Speaker 3: and everything. I remember March something.
- 22:55Speaker 6: What's what's Jake Yesterday? February thirty first?
- 22:57Speaker 3: Don't have one of those? Yeah, exactly, yeah, our thirtieth
- 23:01Speaker 3: m h.
- 23:04Speaker 5: M.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Although brock Berlin doesn't have a jersey retired evangel, which
- 23:08Speaker 3: is who does Rock does not only Josh Boody the
- 23:11Speaker 3: only one make that makes sense? That is USA today players.
- 23:18Speaker 6: That is a.
- 23:22Speaker 5: It's egregious. It's egregious. It's a fireable I don't know
- 23:25Speaker 5: who do you fire. It's a fireable offense. For sure,
- 23:28Speaker 5: it's stupid. I know you're listening over there in Treeport.
- 23:32Speaker 5: They let's go ahead and do it in the future.
- 23:34Speaker 3: In the future, because like right now, let me think
- 23:36Speaker 3: about time that show two to four.
- 23:38Speaker 5: I don't think my opinion is going to change.
- 23:41Speaker 3: So it's three twenty six right now, and you're listening,
- 23:45Speaker 3: evangel do this for me. Retire Brock Berlin's number seven retire.
- 23:53Speaker 3: Keante Dawson's number County played seven years in the NFL,
- 23:56Speaker 3: played at Texas Tech. Retire, John David Boodie's number retire.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Jonathan Wade leaving somebody off. Oh no, no, no, no,
- 24:14Speaker 3: forgive me. Blake Shaping retire his jersey.
- 24:17Speaker 6: Okay, let's let's not get in the weeds here.
- 24:20Speaker 5: Rock Berlin, Okay, yeah, you're right, like Rock Berlin, let's
- 24:25Speaker 5: just let's just not ask for everything. Let's just ask
- 24:26Speaker 5: for the most obvious thing. But anybody maybe just put
- 24:29Speaker 5: up to a vote fair enough, maybe just vote have
- 24:32Speaker 5: anybody with with two brain cells.
- 24:33Speaker 3: But number seven should never be worn again.
- 24:37Speaker 7: I told you, man, this is super off topic, but
- 24:41Speaker 7: like it just came up on It just came up
- 24:45Speaker 7: on my Twitter again and I sent it to y'all yesterday.
- 24:49Speaker 7: But probably the most disappointing thing that I've seen in
- 24:52Speaker 7: a really long time is barstool was asking a bunch
- 24:56Speaker 7: of kids if they showed him. Showed the kids a
- 24:59Speaker 7: picture of Tim Lindsey come yea, and none of them.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Knew The same kids didn't know who Chipper Jones was.
- 25:05Speaker 4: That's crazy.
- 25:07Speaker 5: Chipper is not as bad an age standpoint.
- 25:10Speaker 3: But I mean Chipper kind of played about.
- 25:12Speaker 9: The same time career got cut short.
- 25:15Speaker 3: Yeah, just do a deep dive into that that same
- 25:21Speaker 3: I think it's it's going to piss.
- 25:22Speaker 4: You off, it's gonna make me.
- 25:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:24Speaker 5: I mean, it's just like just like a shooter happened
- 25:27Speaker 5: in five years ago.
- 25:28Speaker 3: Or just like Shreveport evangel not retiring brock Berlin's jersey.
- 25:31Speaker 5: Yeah, like we've are all Andrew, welcome to our life.
- 25:35Speaker 5: We had this moment two weeks ago when my guy
- 25:39Speaker 5: that's my looked a straight and square in our face. Yeah,
- 25:42Speaker 5: and told us, well that movie that ain't my generation,
- 25:45Speaker 5: is it?
- 25:45Speaker 3: Yeah? And I don't know that it hurt him like
- 25:48Speaker 3: I wanted it to. It didn't hurt the disappointment on
- 25:51Speaker 3: wit Weeks's face. It hurt him that he let us down.
- 25:56Speaker 6: I did I respect that? Yeah? I mean I don't respect.
- 25:58Speaker 5: I don't respect that answer of no, but I respect
- 26:01Speaker 5: that the will to make it right right.
- 26:04Speaker 6: Garrett didn't have that.
- 26:05Speaker 3: No, he didn't so like Blake Shape and said he
- 26:07Speaker 3: had seen it, but he just didn't.
- 26:08Speaker 6: Remember the character.
- 26:09Speaker 5: If I'm an NFL scout, that's probably the one knock
- 26:11Speaker 5: I got on him.
- 26:13Speaker 3: Next year, where's the draft?
- 26:14Speaker 4: Never seen Varsity Blues?
- 26:16Speaker 3: You haven't?
- 26:17Speaker 4: No, I'm saying like that. If I was like, no,
- 26:19Speaker 4: I've definitely I have it on DVD.
- 26:21Speaker 6: You do you know what Varsity Blues does?
- 26:23Speaker 4: No? You can borrow my dvd.
- 26:28Speaker 3: Right, A passage in text.
- 26:30Speaker 7: So I've seen like every football movie though, Damn I
- 26:35Speaker 7: had an older brother.
- 26:36Speaker 4: Can't get anything right today?
- 26:41Speaker 3: All Right, I'm gonna let the room cool off a
- 26:43Speaker 3: little bit.
- 26:44Speaker 6: How many times do we like get upset about this topic.
- 26:47Speaker 3: I think our listeners is probably like, hey, guys, you
- 26:49Speaker 3: are the only two that have seen it in Alandra.
- 26:51Speaker 5: Well listen a bit, people, this is actually emotional damage.
- 26:54Speaker 4: I'm just very upset about tim. Is it old? Like
- 26:56Speaker 4: how old is it?
- 26:57Speaker 3: Nineteen ninety nine?
- 26:58Speaker 4: Yeah, and that was like way before I was born.
- 27:00Speaker 6: That's easy on the adjectives.
- 27:01Speaker 9: Okay, I was born in two thousand and three, so
- 27:08Speaker 9: like that was that was only cole of years.
- 27:11Speaker 3: You were at l s U when she was born.

- 30:59Speaker 3: points it out. We always have the argument is it
- 31:04Speaker 3: Dawson's Creek or is it Pacey's Creek. There's definitely Pacey's Creek?
- 31:09Speaker 3: And have you seen the latest? Have you seen the
- 31:11Speaker 3: latest movie involving Joey and Pacey?

- 31:20Speaker 5: start to a Friday. I don't know why you got it.
- 31:26Speaker 5: Bring up stupid ool Honkey. I did see it and
- 31:35Speaker 5: I didn't love it.
- 31:38Speaker 3: But Katie Holmes Joshua Jackson.
- 31:40Speaker 5: Doesn't change the fact that the name of the show
- 31:42Speaker 5: is Dawson's Creek and not Pacey's Creek.
- 31:44Speaker 3: I actually think it was like a big Alpha movie.
- 31:45Speaker 3: The fact that it ended up being Pacey's Creek though,
- 31:47Speaker 3: even though Dawson got the title.
- 31:49Speaker 6: I actually think Joey's a liability. I think Dawson turned out.
- 31:52Speaker 5: I thank god.
- 31:55Speaker 6: He didn't end up with her. She sucks.
- 31:59Speaker 3: You hate Nou ended up with pay.
- 32:06Speaker 5: Pacey had low standards. Dawson didn't better character Jonathan Moxon
- 32:14Speaker 5: this way, this conversation was gonna go our.
- 32:16Speaker 6: Charlie Conway say it again?
- 32:18Speaker 3: Better character Jonathan Moxon or Charlie Conway.
- 32:23Speaker 6: Uh, Jonathan Moxy.
- 32:28Speaker 3: Just saying its two pretty good ones.
- 32:30Speaker 6: But Jonathan boxing.
- 32:31Speaker 3: Okay, Cassie, do you know what a goo goo doll is?
- 32:37Speaker 3: Have you ever heard this song?
- 32:38Speaker 4: Yes?
- 32:38Speaker 3: Okay dolls?
- 32:41Speaker 4: Well, I I only knew that because Hunt talks about
- 32:43Speaker 4: Google dolls all the time, The dolls. This song?
- 32:48Speaker 3: God, what were you playing that?
- 32:49Speaker 4: He thought it was match Box twenty Vertical Horizon?
- 32:52Speaker 1: Yeah?

- 33:02Speaker 3: I should have known Casie is gonna have a catalog
- 33:04Speaker 3: of Goo Goo dolls because the Hunt.
- 33:06Speaker 5: I'm not a big Goo Goo doll fan, but I
- 33:08Speaker 5: do like their songs, the Wild. I mean, I'm not
- 33:11Speaker 5: a not I'm not like I've just never been like
- 33:14Speaker 5: songs and they were a band like a fan to me,
- 33:17Speaker 5: it's like, man, I know their their singer, I know
- 33:19Speaker 5: their history. I know like they're deep cuts. Like that's
- 33:22Speaker 5: a fan to me. I mean, I know the Google
- 33:23Speaker 5: Doll's hits, and they're great, great.
- 33:26Speaker 3: Song Bilbo Baggins inside the Bay for a Chat One
- 33:30Speaker 3: Tree Hill, greater than Dawson's Creek.
- 33:32Speaker 5: Rebut oh you're fired. They're both bangers. Great, how do
- 33:37Speaker 5: we block somebody?
- 33:41Speaker 4: Wait? Is this true?
- 33:42Speaker 7: Buddy Money says the Wallflowers are at the House of
- 33:44Speaker 7: Blues tonight.
- 33:45Speaker 4: There's no way why I would have known about this.
- 33:51Speaker 3: Feels like we might have missed one here. Oh no,
- 33:56Speaker 3: Jacob Dillon and the crew at the House of Blues
- 33:59Speaker 3: and the laundre let it slave it Wallflowers.
- 34:02Speaker 7: Yeah, dude, I just said I didn't.

- 34:08Speaker 3: As we literally during the break, You're like, I don't
- 34:10Speaker 3: want to go back to New Orleans again.
- 34:12Speaker 5: You're thinking about a let's cash you got in your
- 34:13Speaker 5: car now.
- 34:14Speaker 4: General Mission's only fifty seven dollars.
- 34:17Speaker 5: That's an indictment.
- 34:20Speaker 4: Bruh.
- 34:22Speaker 3: I love the Wallflower It's thirty years old, so you know,
- 34:25Speaker 3: take a price to kind of fluctuate there.
- 34:28Speaker 6: You know a lot about.
- 34:28Speaker 5: Them, well, what the Wallflowers, Yeah, you know old the
