- 0:00Speaker 1: So there's a moment every parent has when you realize
- 0:02Speaker 1: the person living in your house potentially knows way more
- 0:06Speaker 1: than they should. They know when you're lying, they know
- 0:10Speaker 1: the rules sometimes make no sense, and worst of all,
- 0:14Speaker 1: they know exactly how to call you out on it. Today,
- 0:19Speaker 1: I'm going to do something a little bit risky because
- 0:23Speaker 1: we are going to get some questions asked that maybe
- 0:28Speaker 1: I'm not ready to hear, because if kids are actually
- 0:32Speaker 1: right about how things should work, there's a chance I'm
- 0:36Speaker 1: in big trouble. Be honest, do adults actually know what
- 0:43Speaker 1: they're doing?
- 0:44Speaker 2: Ishi? Ishi?
- 0:47Speaker 1: Well, the voice you're hearing, it's me, It's mad, it's
- 0:51Speaker 1: beard lost joining me as always as the closet of
- 0:53Speaker 1: the Stay Out of My Fridge podcast, I love the
- 0:56Speaker 1: Ishi queen princess girl rocking a Beatles shirt? What's up, dude?
- 1:04Speaker 2: Nothing?
- 1:05Speaker 1: We're officially today gonna put dad's versus kids head to
- 1:09Speaker 1: head and see who's actually right. What do you think
- 1:13Speaker 1: about that?
- 1:15Speaker 2: I think I'm gonna win.
- 1:17Speaker 1: You think well, thinking could get you in trouble? What? What?
- 1:21Speaker 2: How could I get me in trouble? I don't know.
- 1:23Speaker 1: What If you answer a question and you bust yourself. Yeah,
- 1:30Speaker 1: that's what I said, didn't I good?
- 1:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm sewing a shirt right now.
- 1:34Speaker 1: You're sewing a shirt. Say that five times fast.
- 1:36Speaker 2: I'm sewing a shirt. I'm sewing a shirt. I'm sewing
- 1:39Speaker 2: a Sure, I'm doing it. Sure, I'm sewing a shirt.
- 1:41Speaker 1: You're showing a shirt. That's cool, you are sewing a shirt.
- 1:47Speaker 1: We have been deep into cards today, haven't we. Yeah,
- 1:51Speaker 1: a lot of football cards, well, some football cards, some uh,
- 1:54Speaker 1: some baseball cards?
- 1:55Speaker 2: What uh?
- 1:56Speaker 1: What do you think? And you're you're pretty new to
- 1:57Speaker 1: the card game, right, Yeah? What do you think of
- 2:00Speaker 1: the stuff?
- 2:00Speaker 2: Like?
- 2:00Speaker 1: Doesn't it make sense what we're potentially doing? Yeah?
- 2:03Speaker 2: I want to make my own binder with stuff from
- 2:07Speaker 2: the cards and stuff in it.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Yeah, and stuff and stuff and stuff and stuff what what?
- 2:12Speaker 1: Stuff and stuff and cards? Are you thinking that you
- 2:15Speaker 1: potentially want to start collecting when you get shown binder?
- 2:17Speaker 2: Football?
- 2:18Speaker 1: Yeah, anything in general for your personal collection, like teams, players, teams.
- 2:23Speaker 2: I want Josh Allen players and.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Bills team, the Bills team. That's cool. Yeah. And I've
- 2:28Speaker 1: kind of always collected Pittsburgh stuff. It's just fun for me.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I'm not doing it to get rich by any means.
- 2:33Speaker 1: But we were we bought a couple of cards that
- 2:36Speaker 1: we're going to try to sell. We're gonna try to
- 2:38Speaker 1: get rid of some so we can feed buying cards
- 2:40Speaker 1: that that we want. We bought a pack of some
- 2:43Speaker 1: don Ross cards. It was like eight bucks, and we
- 2:45Speaker 1: potentially got like if we sell them all sixty bucks worth,
- 2:48Speaker 1: that'd be cool.
- 2:50Speaker 2: You've also got some stuff in here on like a
- 2:53Speaker 2: lot of stuff in here of.
- 2:54Speaker 1: The cards or Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Yeah, you've got over there the signatures and stuff.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm a big fan of pie Rats. But yeah,
- 3:03Speaker 1: something that we're we're having fun with. I'm gonna see
- 3:06Speaker 1: some cards. Ilow as the camera person for a couple
- 3:09Speaker 1: of short form videos you might see throughout the week.
- 3:12Speaker 1: So if you guys want check out the Beard and
- 3:13Speaker 1: Bee on the Tickety Talk. Good stuff. So all right
- 3:18Speaker 1: we are I think we jump right into some some
- 3:22Speaker 1: some some fun some games.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Huh.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Okay, So I thought the first one will do for
- 3:27Speaker 1: the first little segment, we're gonna do instant reaction, right,
- 3:33Speaker 1: And what do you know what an instant reaction is?
- 3:35Speaker 2: Yes, okay, it's a reaction that happens almost immediately.
- 3:40Speaker 1: I thought you were gonna say instantly, and I was like, well, no,
- 3:43Speaker 1: of course, an instant reaction is a reaction that happens instantly.
- 3:46Speaker 1: But okay, let's try the sout. Are you ready?
- 3:50Speaker 2: Yes?
- 3:50Speaker 1: What is something that adults say that immediately makes kids
- 3:56Speaker 1: stop listening? So if I say, hey, listen, you stop listening,
- 4:03Speaker 1: not if.
- 4:03Speaker 2: You say it like listen. If you say listen, then
- 4:08Speaker 2: I don't listen.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Really interesting, Well, it depends depends on what it's either
- 4:16Speaker 1: that or or what I can hear you thinking.
- 4:20Speaker 2: I don't really have anything. I was saying that for
- 4:23Speaker 2: like a lot of kids, but I don't do that,
- 4:25Speaker 2: and I don't have very much things that I don't
- 4:28Speaker 2: listen to.
- 4:29Speaker 1: So there's nothing that an adult or even myself could
- 4:33Speaker 1: say that would get you to kind of zone out
- 4:35Speaker 1: and be bored and not want to listen.
- 4:37Speaker 2: When you talk and you talk and talk and talk
- 4:41Speaker 2: and talk and talk and talk about just random things
- 4:46Speaker 2: with mom and stuff or like your friends and stuff,
- 4:49Speaker 2: then I kind of just zone out and I don't listen.
- 4:52Speaker 1: What do you mean random stuff?
- 4:55Speaker 2: Like?
- 4:55Speaker 1: What's random stuff talk about?
- 4:57Speaker 2: Like hang out with your friends, going golfing and stuff
- 4:59Speaker 2: like that. I just don't know. I don't listen.
- 5:02Speaker 1: You got beef against golf.
- 5:05Speaker 2: No, I'm saying that it's annoying, Like not annoying, it's
- 5:11Speaker 2: like boring for you to just sit there and talk
- 5:16Speaker 2: about your friends. And you're like, I'm not saying your
- 5:21Speaker 2: friends are boring or anything. I'm being like, if you're
- 5:24Speaker 2: talking about talking and talking about them and then talking
- 5:27Speaker 2: and talking and talking and talking.
- 5:28Speaker 1: About no, I just sit around and talk about my
- 5:30Speaker 1: friends when you mean like stories of things that have
- 5:34Speaker 1: happened in our lives. That's not talking about my friends.
- 5:38Speaker 1: That's talking about stuff that you do with your friends.
- 5:40Speaker 1: It's talking about life.
- 5:42Speaker 2: I'm just I just zn't out what's coming boring interesting?
- 5:48Speaker 1: That's all I have to do is talk about what's
- 5:50Speaker 1: happening in my day to get you to zone out,
- 5:53Speaker 1: not to know.
- 5:53Speaker 2: I mean like, no, I mean like you just talking
- 5:57Speaker 2: about a story of doing your friends. Just zone out?
- 6:01Speaker 1: Cool. So the next time you tell me a story
- 6:03Speaker 1: about you and your friends that you then I'm just
- 6:05Speaker 1: gonna zone out and I listen. No, why is that
- 6:09Speaker 1: fair for me?
- 6:09Speaker 2: I've been trying really hard recently to listen. It's just
- 6:13Speaker 2: you used to talk about really boring stuff and then
- 6:16Speaker 2: I would just zone out. Wow, Like you could, for instance,
- 6:22Speaker 2: talk about your friends dancing in a car, and then
- 6:25Speaker 2: I just zone out. It's like boring. But recently it's
- 6:31Speaker 2: been getting better, and I've so.
- 6:34Speaker 1: That was just an example, because I can tell you
- 6:36Speaker 1: confidently I've never told you a story about me dancing
- 6:38Speaker 1: in a car with my friends.
- 6:40Speaker 2: That was just an example. Okay, But I mean, like
- 6:47Speaker 2: sometimes I dude zone out. But like I've been trying
- 6:51Speaker 2: really hard, not too recently interesting, I've just been listening. Huh.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Okay, that's good to know putting that up here. I
- 6:59Speaker 1: got another question for what is the fastest way for
- 7:03Speaker 1: an adult to embarrass a kid in public?
- 7:06Speaker 2: Mmm?
- 7:09Speaker 1: What do you think the fastest way for an adult
- 7:11Speaker 1: to embarrass a kid in public?
- 7:13Speaker 2: Is?
- 7:13Speaker 1: You are thinking very hard and deep on.
- 7:15Speaker 2: This, I have a lot of things, all right.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Well, that tells me something. Podcasts are much better when
- 7:20Speaker 1: you talk, probably.
- 7:23Speaker 2: When like you just start breaking down dancing.
- 7:28Speaker 1: So breaking down dancing is just.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Automatically and I just like so much cringey dancing.
- 7:37Speaker 1: So cringey dancing. Do not, okay, do not. I'm not
- 7:42Speaker 1: in public, Okay, I can't wait wait till I chaperon
- 7:48Speaker 1: one of your dances.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Do not.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm pretty much a star at your school now,
- 7:52Speaker 1: so I would love it if I chaperone it. I'm
- 7:54Speaker 1: gonna dance it. No interesting, Well, I saw the way
- 7:58Speaker 1: that you were dancing at your school to that stuff,
- 8:01Speaker 1: and that was embarrassing and cringey. No, yeah it was
- 8:06Speaker 1: you saw her.
- 8:08Speaker 2: I saw that. Did mom send you a video?
- 8:11Speaker 1: I was there the day that we did the book
- 8:13Speaker 1: reading and we were all in the gym and you
- 8:15Speaker 1: guys were.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Oh, I thought you were talking about the school day.
- 8:19Speaker 1: No, no, no, I wasn't there. Nor did your mom
- 8:21Speaker 1: take videos?
- 8:22Speaker 2: No? Yeah, I was like, it wasn't that bad. Everybody
- 8:27Speaker 2: was doing to keep a shuffle with officer an officer.
- 8:30Speaker 2: It was mister, I can't say names on here. Yeah
- 8:34Speaker 2: that's not I'm just couldn't say mister.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Okay, missed that. Mister. Let me ask you this, what
- 8:40Speaker 1: is one word that adults use that kids hate.
- 8:45Speaker 2: I'm gonna talk about me. I hate when you say
- 8:49Speaker 2: I'll tell you when you're older, I'll tell you when
- 8:50Speaker 2: you're older. He says that every day, and it's so annoying.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Every day you go I'll tell you when you're older.
- 8:58Speaker 1: That's how I say it. Give me your best impression.
- 9:02Speaker 2: I'll tell you when you're older.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I'll tell you when you're older. That's pretty cool. That's
- 9:06Speaker 1: pretty You hate.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Me and my sister and Avery hate it. We both go,
- 9:12Speaker 2: We all go.
- 9:14Speaker 1: You growl when I say that. Is there something that
- 9:17Speaker 1: your mom says that you hate or is it just me?
- 9:21Speaker 2: Wow? I love what my mama says.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Oh, there we go. That's very nice. And brown noses
- 9:27Speaker 1: of you?
- 9:27Speaker 2: I will.
- 9:30Speaker 1: What is something chocolate?
- 9:31Speaker 2: I know what to mean.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Yeah, that's exactly what I mean.
- 9:33Speaker 2: You get chocolate on your nose chocolate because I was
- 9:38Speaker 2: eating Nicella never heard and it was all over my face.
- 9:42Speaker 1: You've never heard the saying brown noser? Okay, well you
- 9:46Speaker 1: know what. I'll tell you about all about it when
- 9:48Speaker 1: you're older. Hey, what's something that adults do that they
- 9:50Speaker 1: think is cool but definitely, in your opinion, is not
- 9:55Speaker 1: cool at all?
- 9:57Speaker 2: Oh? When you do what is really cringey dance move?
- 10:02Speaker 1: Everything embarrassing and not cool is me and my dance moves?
- 10:06Speaker 1: That's it? What what is the fringy dance move? Explain it?
- 10:10Speaker 1: Because they can't see.
- 10:11Speaker 2: You if you did, you you go because your golf
- 10:15Speaker 2: swing every.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Morning, it's really annoying getting ready for golf season. He
- 10:18Speaker 1: just goes, well, you're jealous on my sweet golf. It's
- 10:20Speaker 1: because I have a great swing and it's only going
- 10:22Speaker 1: to get better with practice. Oh, bless you. That's what
- 10:24Speaker 1: happens when you make fun of me too much. My goodness,
- 10:29Speaker 1: you good over there? Okay, so practice my golf swing,
- 10:34Speaker 1: practice my dance moves. No, I'll tell you when I'm older.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Got it?
- 10:37Speaker 2: No? Do not? What are what are?
- 10:41Speaker 1: What are some things that I think I'm good at
- 10:47Speaker 1: but you think I'm not? Oh my gosh, what are
- 10:50Speaker 1: you allergic to answer? What is going on? I'm just
- 10:53Speaker 1: sneezing in the studio. Did you hear that one? Or
- 10:55Speaker 1: you wanting to repeat it?
- 10:57Speaker 2: Repeat it?
- 10:58Speaker 1: What do I think that I'm good at but you
- 11:01Speaker 1: think I'm not? I don't have anything nothing. So everything
- 11:06Speaker 1: that I think i'm good at, I'm good at.
- 11:08Speaker 2: I have some some things that you think that you're
- 11:11Speaker 2: not good at, but I think that you're good at.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Like what you said you had some things?
- 11:15Speaker 2: Well, I don't really know if you think that you're
- 11:18Speaker 2: good at it or not. Are one of our oldest
- 11:22Speaker 2: podcasts videos. I roasted you about this. Your pancakes.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Yeah, they're fantastic. My pancakes are way better than your
- 11:32Speaker 1: French toast.
- 11:33Speaker 2: They're not. They are. My sister thinks they're better.
- 11:36Speaker 1: I'll ask her. Yeah, if she wasn't at practice right now,
- 11:38Speaker 1: i'd call her. But well, we'll follow up on that one,
- 11:41Speaker 1: because I'm pretty sure my pancakes is better than your friends.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Toaster.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Mm okay, okay, if you could ban one of my habits,
- 11:51Speaker 1: something that I do forever?
- 11:52Speaker 2: What is it? You know what video that's from? And
- 11:55Speaker 2: comment on below what video that's from? Little thing for
- 11:58Speaker 2: you guys to do, little.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Thanks for you guys to do. Do some research, do
- 12:02Speaker 1: some research, do some homework.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Try to figure out what video that was in.
- 12:07Speaker 1: But you can't, But you can't.
- 12:10Speaker 2: But she was so old. I'll give you one hand.
- 12:12Speaker 2: It was so old that Avery was still in.
- 12:16Speaker 1: The podcast hand she gave a hand. Do you know
- 12:21Speaker 1: which one it is? You don't? Okay, all right, let's
- 12:24Speaker 1: see here, let's mix this up a little bit. All right,
- 12:29Speaker 1: this one's going to really get you thinking. You're yawn
- 12:32Speaker 1: and you're tired, or you're overthinking but what rule do
- 12:35Speaker 1: you think makes sense to adults but it doesn't make
- 12:39Speaker 1: any sense to kids? Did you just blow your nose
- 12:42Speaker 1: in your shirt? Because if you did, that would have
- 12:44Speaker 1: been absolutely disgusting. Okay, sneeze in. Okay, what rule makes
- 12:51Speaker 1: sense to adults but not to kids. There's gotta be
- 12:55Speaker 1: a rule out there that we all do, we all say,
- 12:58Speaker 1: we all follow, and you're just like what, it doesn't
- 13:01Speaker 1: make any sense.
- 13:02Speaker 2: I have one not being able to play in the rain.
- 13:06Speaker 2: That doesn't A lot of parents don't let you do that.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Like you guys don't let me play in the rain.
- 13:11Speaker 1: When have you ever said, hey, can I go play
- 13:13Speaker 1: in the rain?
- 13:13Speaker 2: I've always asked you. I said, can I go play
- 13:16Speaker 2: in the rain? You go no, do cold? No, do gold, no,
- 13:20Speaker 2: do gold, no, no no. Once I literally went under
- 13:25Speaker 2: the sprinkler, No, not the sprinkler, under the whole because
- 13:28Speaker 2: I couldn't go play in the rain.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Well, I have to imagine it doesn't rain a lot
- 13:33Speaker 1: when it's nice. If it's twenty five and thirty degrees
- 13:36Speaker 1: and it's raining, that's called freezing rain, you're not gonna
- 13:38Speaker 1: go play out and that you'll get sick. So apparently
- 13:43Speaker 1: playing in the rain doesn't make sense to kids. I
- 13:46Speaker 1: could see that. Why do you think that we tell
- 13:49Speaker 1: you you can't play in the rain.
- 13:51Speaker 2: You don't want to take that pros but you don't
- 13:54Speaker 2: want it to get sick?
- 13:55Speaker 1: Okay, do you enjoy being sick?
- 13:58Speaker 2: No, I'm not gonna get that's sake if I dress nicely, how.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Do you dress nicely for cold rain?
- 14:05Speaker 2: I put on a bunch of pants, and I put
- 14:08Speaker 2: on my snow pants.
- 14:09Speaker 1: You put on a bunch of pants and snowpants, and
- 14:11Speaker 1: all of a sudden you're protected from getting sick in
- 14:13Speaker 1: the freezing rain.
- 14:15Speaker 2: On a scarf, put on a hat, put on a gloves,
- 14:19Speaker 2: put it on your boots like the the rain boots,
- 14:24Speaker 2: and then go get your umbrella and jump in the rain. Interesting.
- 14:28Speaker 1: I think that sentence in itself explains what we're coming from.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Where we're coming from already? What do adults overcomplicate in
- 14:38Speaker 1: your opinion? For no reason?
- 14:40Speaker 2: What does that mean? So?
- 14:41Speaker 1: What do we tell you that you think makes like
- 14:45Speaker 1: two doesn't make enough sense? It's something that we add
- 14:49Speaker 1: extra steps to that, we make a little extra confusing,
- 14:52Speaker 1: that we make it harder than it really is. There's
- 14:57Speaker 1: got to be something.
- 14:58Speaker 2: Making like some type of food, because you're always like, oh,
- 15:01Speaker 2: you gotta add a little bit of brown the sugar.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Oh no, you gotta add a little bit of power tugger.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you gotta add it's a little bit. You
- 15:08Speaker 2: gotta add a lot of this. Yeah, and then you
- 15:10Speaker 2: just exaggerate the steps.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Really, so you think that recipes are two think you
- 15:18Speaker 1: just like.
- 15:19Speaker 2: You'd like to add extra stuff because everybody makes someone
- 15:23Speaker 2: without that ingredients everybody.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Yeah, so you're faulting us because we're out there just
- 15:31Speaker 1: maybe we watch a little bit too much next level chef.
- 15:34Speaker 1: We're trying to put a little bit extra flare to it.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Huh. It didn't really bring in the next level step.
- 15:42Speaker 1: I didn't need to bring it in. No, all right,
- 15:44Speaker 1: my bead, everybody no need for that, I guess. So
- 15:48Speaker 1: let me ask you this, all right, what do adults
- 15:52Speaker 1: think it's dangerous? But you think it's just fine and
- 15:57Speaker 1: it's not dangerous. It's okay, you're just being dramatic. I'm
- 16:02Speaker 1: not gonna get hurt. It's not unsafe, it's fine.
- 16:06Speaker 2: M hmm.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Maybe we're just doing so well that we don't ever
- 16:12Speaker 1: tell you not thteen.
- 16:14Speaker 2: This is some kids, not me because I actually listen
- 16:17Speaker 2: to this rule, but some kids don't. Fighting on your
- 16:20Speaker 2: bike or like a skateboard or roller skates without like
- 16:24Speaker 2: knee pads, shoulder.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Pads, Like you're pointing to your elbow and saying shoulder pads.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Sorry, elbow pads?
- 16:32Speaker 1: Where are your shoulders?
- 16:33Speaker 2: Okay? Cool?
- 16:33Speaker 1: She doesn't know that would have been a funny moment
- 16:37Speaker 1: if you are on camera pointing to your elbows and
- 16:39Speaker 1: saying shoulder pads. I mean that's so. I mean most
- 16:43Speaker 1: kids think that they don't need helmets or nothing. They
- 16:46Speaker 1: just get on the bike and go, everything's fine, right.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Once mean, like we weren't disobeying a rule. We kind
- 16:51Speaker 2: of forgot what.
- 16:54Speaker 1: I didn't say anything.
- 16:55Speaker 2: We kind of forgot that we didn't have them on.
- 16:59Speaker 2: So we what in the diveway? She was on her bike,
- 17:02Speaker 2: I was on my bike. We were riding. She looks
- 17:05Speaker 2: over at me and she goes, I will you don't
- 17:07Speaker 2: have your helmet on. I look over at her and
- 17:10Speaker 2: I go, you don't have your helmet on either, And
- 17:12Speaker 2: we didn't move at all, be like like stopped it.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Then we went and goke on our collaborate and listen,
- 17:21Speaker 2: we stopped and then we went to go get our
- 17:22Speaker 2: helmeuts to be safe.
- 17:24Speaker 1: That's smart, look at you go.
- 17:27Speaker 2: I remember one time she was trying to be Edna
- 17:30Speaker 2: on her rollers, the electric scooter. She walks on like
- 17:36Speaker 2: her feet, I mean everybody walks on her feet right,
- 17:40Speaker 2: like her knees are bat and she goes skirts her
- 17:44Speaker 2: way around anyway. But she was trying to be hurt
- 17:47Speaker 2: on her electric scooter. So she was like down and
- 17:49Speaker 2: holding onto the bars a really big bump, and she
- 17:52Speaker 2: fell off of it and scraped turney's so bad. Do
- 17:55Speaker 2: you remember that?
- 17:56Speaker 1: Oh? Is that why her knees bad to this day?
- 17:58Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure? Wait, actually is it? I don't know.
- 18:01Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure because she like scraped it so bad
- 18:06Speaker 2: that it was like bleeding so bad. But she hadn't
- 18:10Speaker 2: wear band aids. Oh my goshds and band aids and
- 18:14Speaker 2: band aids.
- 18:14Speaker 1: And bids and bids had band aids on their band aids.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Is that what you're trying to say?
- 18:18Speaker 2: That those band aids have band aids on their brand aids?
- 18:22Speaker 1: Unbelievable? Interesting? Oh were you breathing like that? I feel
- 18:30Speaker 1: like you guys, something funny does ah?
- 18:35Speaker 2: But it was like bad, she still had rocks in it,
- 18:39Speaker 2: and then we had to take cheezers and get them out.
- 18:42Speaker 2: And then she didn't write again. She hasn't wrote since whoa.
- 18:47Speaker 2: I don't know if she has other Monka. She's never
- 18:49Speaker 2: wrote here again.
- 18:50Speaker 1: It's still here somewhere. Anyways. Let me ask you this,
- 18:55Speaker 1: what's the most embarrassing way that an adult use social media?
- 19:01Speaker 2: When they do like TikTok dances, it's not good, especially
- 19:07Speaker 2: for the kids. It's like really embarrassing.
- 19:10Speaker 1: So you that's the second time or third time you
- 19:13Speaker 1: have mentioned dance and cringey and.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Okay because you're just cringey like that.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Well, I don't dance on social media. I just rack
- 19:22Speaker 1: to people shaving beards. Is that cringey? No, that's great,
- 19:27Speaker 1: it's not embarrassing. Is there any speaking of apps? Is
- 19:29Speaker 1: there any apps out there that you think that adults
- 19:31Speaker 1: just need to stop trying to understand or no, YouTube, YouTube.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Some adults just need to stop understan trying to understand why.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Like mom, she's always like, what is that? What are
- 19:45Speaker 2: you watching? I'm like, I'm watching Purple Starzo two. What
- 19:51Speaker 2: are you watching?
- 19:52Speaker 1: Purple Starzo two?
- 19:53Speaker 2: It's a YouTube that YouTuber that I watched Callie Kayla.
- 19:57Speaker 1: What do they do?
- 19:58Speaker 2: They do like Christmas in like challenges and stuff. They're
- 20:03Speaker 2: kind of like it. You know that one channel Ever
- 20:06Speaker 2: used to watch and there was a bunch of kids. Sure,
- 20:12Speaker 2: I don't know their names. She used to watch them
- 20:14Speaker 2: all the time. Now she never watches them. I don't
- 20:16Speaker 2: even think she subscribed to them.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Well, it's probably pretty hard because the kids aren't kids
- 20:20Speaker 1: anymore and they're probably out of the house and being like,
- 20:22Speaker 1: why did you make me do so much off on
- 20:24Speaker 1: you to wait? You know what I mean? Yeah, kind
- 20:29Speaker 1: of like stranger things. It doesn't make sense how they
- 20:30Speaker 1: can still be kids when they're adults. Right, we shouldn't
- 20:34Speaker 1: go that far, should we. It's crazy to me because
- 20:36Speaker 1: you know everything about stranger things and never even though
- 20:39Speaker 1: we were at dinner yesterday with some friends and you
- 20:42Speaker 1: knew like everything, You knew more about stranger things than
- 20:45Speaker 1: people that have seen stranger things, and you've never seen
- 20:47Speaker 1: stranger things. Explain to the world listening how you know
- 20:51Speaker 1: much about so much about stranger things with never watching
- 20:55Speaker 1: stranger things? YouTube YouTube shorts mom Ever saying what don't
- 21:00Speaker 1: you want here?
- 21:02Speaker 2: No? No, because she sees like no snap and Millie
- 21:05Speaker 2: Bobby Brown no snaps? I said, no a snap? No
- 21:09Speaker 2: what stop? Noah snap? Millie Bobby Brown, Fin wolf Hard.
- 21:16Speaker 1: I mean all of them, all of them, that's three
- 21:19Speaker 1: of them, all of them, Sadie, don't look at me
- 21:25Speaker 1: like that. If kids can control the Internet for a day,
- 21:30Speaker 1: what would change? If you could control everything? That's that's
- 21:35Speaker 1: talk about it. Everything's going to change.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Like what more just kid appropriate stuff?
- 21:40Speaker 1: Like what?
- 21:41Speaker 2: Like?
- 21:41Speaker 1: What do you define as kid appropriate stuff?
- 21:44Speaker 2: No swear words, no inappropriate videos? Of course?
- 21:47Speaker 1: Of course, how do you know that those exist?
- 21:50Speaker 2: It's just obvious.
- 21:51Speaker 1: How is it obvious? What if nobody's touched a phone before,
- 21:55Speaker 1: then they wouldn't know, right.
- 21:56Speaker 2: If you know? Like YouTube, when you're scrolling and scrolling
- 21:59Speaker 2: and growing, don't you hear some swear words? Then you
- 22:03Speaker 2: just scroll past them? Yeah?
- 22:05Speaker 1: And like what's your favorite swear word?
- 22:07Speaker 2: Good?
- 22:08Speaker 1: That was a test you passed?
- 22:09Speaker 2: You go on videos that are appropriated, You're gonna.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Have arthritis from all you're swaving.
- 22:14Speaker 2: No, it's still like I do it because then I'm
- 22:19Speaker 2: watching ki appropriate.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Stuff, right, Okay, So I don't watch like I don't.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Watch scary parts and strange things and like the little
- 22:29Speaker 2: clips I only watch, like behind the scenes and little
- 22:32Speaker 2: clips that are scary.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Like just okay, so that's one thing that should change,
- 22:37Speaker 1: more kid appropriate stuff. Which crazy thing they have kids?
- 22:41Speaker 2: YouTube?
- 22:42Speaker 1: I know, and I used to use it, I know.
- 22:45Speaker 2: I just don't use it anymore because I'm not a
- 22:47Speaker 2: little little don't Why are we whispering you YouTube?
- 22:51Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 22:51Speaker 2: YouTube YouTube kids. It's like younger kids.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Than my kids appropriates to I know, but they're like
- 22:59Speaker 1: baby videos all right. So that's one way that you
- 23:02Speaker 1: think you need. So you want more kid appropriate like
- 23:06Speaker 1: teenage stuff.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Yes, like nine to sixteen year old stuff more appropriate.
- 23:12Speaker 1: Okay. What's another thing that you think you would change
- 23:16Speaker 1: on the internet to make it, you know, more kid
- 23:19Speaker 1: not kid appropriate, but something that would change if you
- 23:21Speaker 1: controlled the Internet for a day.
- 23:23Speaker 2: What would change Instagram so I can watch it?
- 23:27Speaker 1: They make Instagram for kids, Jamie kids Messenger, No, that's Facebook.
- 23:34Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure they came out with a maybe it's
- 23:35Speaker 1: a teen thing. I'd have to look. Maybe it might
- 23:37Speaker 1: be Instagram for teens. But why what do you think
- 23:40Speaker 1: is on Instagram that you want to see so much?
- 23:42Speaker 1: Isn't it going to be the.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Same stuff like my besties post like their mom's post
- 23:47Speaker 2: pictures and stuff that I like.
- 23:48Speaker 1: So you want Instagram to look at your friend's mom's pictures.
- 23:52Speaker 1: That's cringey.
- 23:53Speaker 2: That is not cringey. I want to look at my besties.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Can't you see them?
- 23:58Speaker 2: No? Like over Tama, I like to watch what they
- 24:00Speaker 2: got for like Christmas and.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Stuff over summer. You want to see what they got
- 24:04Speaker 1: for Christmas.
- 24:05Speaker 2: And stuff over breaks. I want to see what they
- 24:08Speaker 2: got and what they're doing, like because I don't see
- 24:11Speaker 2: my besties ever because I live so far away from them.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Fair and you're and you're at the age where you
- 24:17Speaker 1: guys all don't have phones to be like annoying and
- 24:20Speaker 1: on video calls all the time.
- 24:23Speaker 2: I have a phone, but you know what I mean,
- 24:25Speaker 2: Like like I don't call her conscertly. I call them
- 24:27Speaker 2: once and if they don't pick up, then I just
- 24:30Speaker 2: leave it alone until they call me back.
- 24:31Speaker 1: That's smart.
- 24:32Speaker 2: And then the next days two or something like that,
- 24:36Speaker 2: then I'll call them back and see if they answer. Yeah,
- 24:39Speaker 2: same thing with like parents and stuff. You don't just
- 24:42Speaker 2: call call, call, call, call, call. You gotta give it
- 24:45Speaker 2: a break. They gotta be tired of it. It's like
- 24:48Speaker 2: and tired of it.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, trust me, I'm gonna I'm gonna. I'm gonna
- 24:53Speaker 1: clip that right there and then send it to you
- 24:55Speaker 1: all the time. Give it a break. Must be exhausting
- 24:58Speaker 1: I do instead of always calling just talking, I'm not.
- 25:02Speaker 2: I only text them and then they answer me.
- 25:06Speaker 1: I was talking in general, I was at a game,
- 25:09Speaker 1: talk in NonStop or all in the kitchen.
- 25:14Speaker 2: I was really excited one day because my vestie was
- 25:18Speaker 2: on her phone at some point at a game and
- 25:23Speaker 2: I had nothing to do at games, and I had
- 25:25Speaker 2: my phone and I texted her. She almost replied immediately,
- 25:28Speaker 2: and we just kept on going back and forth so
- 25:30Speaker 2: we could like have a normal conversation.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Normal conversation was really nice. Be a text message, it
- 25:36Speaker 1: was really nice. Why don't you just go and hang
- 25:37Speaker 1: out with her?
- 25:38Speaker 2: She can't. I was at a game too far a
- 25:41Speaker 2: week and she wasn't.
- 25:42Speaker 1: I thought you meant that she was at the game.
- 25:44Speaker 1: You were at the game and you were having a
- 25:45Speaker 1: normal conversation via text.
- 25:47Speaker 2: No, but some people sit next to each other and
- 25:50Speaker 2: text to each other. It's annoying. Like I was watching
- 25:53Speaker 2: high school musical last night, and they were they they
- 25:59Speaker 2: were literally in the same room looking at each other
- 26:02Speaker 2: and he goes he goes hey, and then they just
- 26:05Speaker 2: kept on talking. It made me so mad, like I
- 26:08Speaker 2: almost wanted to get up and move my TV outside
- 26:12Speaker 2: my door because I was so mad.
- 26:14Speaker 1: So why don't you just change the channel? Okay, Well,
- 26:16Speaker 1: I'm going to keep that in mind when you start
- 26:19Speaker 1: getting a little older, and I want to see if
- 26:20Speaker 1: you text people while you're in the same room hopefully
- 26:23Speaker 1: not hopefully that we're raising you and you know you're
- 26:26Speaker 1: doing this stuff where you can sit in front and
- 26:28Speaker 1: just have normal conversations with normal people, because I think
- 26:31Speaker 1: that's a lost you know, a lost skill, a lost
- 26:35Speaker 1: value in life. Right yeah, all right, Well they say
- 26:38Speaker 1: time flies when you're having fun, and guess what, kid,
- 26:41Speaker 1: it does. We already did over thirty minutes.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Are you being serious?
- 26:44Speaker 1: I'm being very serious? How wild?
- 26:47Speaker 2: Right? Yeah, that's a wile that's not just only been
- 26:50Speaker 2: like ten minutes.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Wow, I know. I just looked at the clock over
- 26:52Speaker 1: there and I was like, wow, it's over thirty minute.
- 26:54Speaker 1: So let's let's wrap this up because we gotta go
- 26:57Speaker 1: finish dinner. We have to get all of the cards
- 27:01Speaker 1: that we have everywhere organized and put away, and we
- 27:04Speaker 1: got things and stuff to do, right, Okay, all right,
- 27:06Speaker 1: well I can't thank everybody enough for taking some time
- 27:09Speaker 1: out of their busy day to give this a listen, right, Yeah,
- 27:13Speaker 1: if you had one piece of advice for everybody, what
- 27:16Speaker 1: would it be?
- 27:17Speaker 2: Be kind?
- 27:18Speaker 1: Be kind? And rewind your VHS tapes? Right yeah, for
- 27:23Speaker 1: the eleverd you just bust on, Missy Elliott. Wow. All right.
- 27:28Speaker 1: On that note, we're out of here because we gotta go.
- 27:31Speaker 1: We gotta look for something to uh to cook and
- 27:35Speaker 1: you know, make for dinner. Do you say dinner or supper?
- 27:39Speaker 2: I say dinner? Who says supper?
- 27:41Speaker 1: A lot of people say supper?
- 27:43Speaker 2: I know.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Remind me and we'll put a poll up on our YouTube,
- 27:46Speaker 1: the Beard Laws Network home with the Stay of the Fridge,
- 27:49Speaker 1: Stay of My Fridge Podcast, and we'll see if people
- 27:50Speaker 1: say dinner or supper. All right, and when we have
- 27:54Speaker 1: the leftovers and all that stuff, I just just keep
- 27:56Speaker 1: in mind they're mine, they're not yours, So stay out
- 27:59Speaker 1: of my bridge.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Bye bye, next week next week.
- 28:05Speaker 1: That we're just kind of like that. I felt like
- 28:08Speaker 1: that was weird. Yeah, looking us with an outro.
- 28:12Speaker 2: Bye bye bye bye bye bye bye bye bye bye
- 28:16Speaker 2: bye bye bye bye bye bye bye bye bye bye.
