- 3:13Speaker 4: we thank you for this time together. Thank you, Father, God,
- 3:16Speaker 4: for walking with us through the fire. Thank you for
- 3:20Speaker 4: your divine protection, Thank you for your grace, thank you
- 3:24Speaker 4: for your mercy, Thank you for your direction. Father, Father, God,
- 3:29Speaker 4: we bless your holy name. Father. We asked it you
- 3:31Speaker 4: will bless this time together this verse by verse study.
- 3:35Speaker 4: We ask for revelation. We ask for guidance and a
- 3:39Speaker 4: fresh and nineteen of fall on this episode. And we
- 3:44Speaker 4: asked this in Jesus's mighty name. Hop rate, amen and amen, hallelujah.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Glorify Jesus Christ.
- 3:53Speaker 4: All right, we changed up a few things on the podcast.
- 3:57Speaker 4: If you notice, we have a whole new intro, one
- 3:59Speaker 4: verse at a time as we started the podcast, and
- 4:02Speaker 4: we also wanted to add the verse of the day.
- 4:06Speaker 4: You can't get enough of God's word, right, So today's
- 4:11Speaker 4: verse of the day is James Chapter one, verse twenty two,
- 4:17Speaker 4: and it says, be ye doers of the word and
- 4:21Speaker 4: not hearers, only deceiving your own cells. Now, today's study
- 4:29Speaker 4: isn't just about listening to scriptures, but it's about living
- 4:34Speaker 4: the scriptures. Amen, Take this verse, memorize it. We have
- 4:41Speaker 4: to guard against deceiving our own selves because we could
- 4:45Speaker 4: think just because we listen, or just because we go
- 4:48Speaker 4: to church, we're good. When the Bible does not say that.
- 4:54Speaker 4: The Bible says, we gotta walk it out. Amen, we
- 4:59Speaker 4: gotta walk out the world word. Man, that's a song.
- 5:04Speaker 4: If you're listening out there, Zone three, that's a song.
- 5:06Speaker 4: Walk out the word. Now, today's message is is there
- 5:14Speaker 4: no bomb in Guilliad Part two? Because we're gonna finish
- 5:19Speaker 4: up those verses. Now. Have you ever watched someone that
- 5:25Speaker 4: you love, that you cared about, that you're concerned about,
- 5:31Speaker 4: make destructive decisions, destructive choices in our lives? Right? And
- 5:36Speaker 4: if we try to warn them, we pray for them,
- 5:40Speaker 4: we even cry over the decisions that they're making, but
- 5:44Speaker 4: yet they refuse to change. Have you ever been there,
- 5:49Speaker 4: I've seen it. I've gone through it recently with my
- 5:52Speaker 4: own family. That's exactly where Jeremiah finds himself. Today's lesson
- 5:58Speaker 4: reveals the heart of a prophet and ultimately the heart
- 6:06Speaker 4: of God himself. Amen. It's very emotional in our heart
- 6:15Speaker 4: wrenching passage of scripture, but let's go over it together.
- 6:20Speaker 4: Verse twenty one says, for the hurt of the daughter
- 6:25Speaker 4: of my people, I am hurt, I am black. Astonishment
- 6:33Speaker 4: have taken hold of me. Now this is very emotional, right, astonishment.
- 6:42Speaker 4: Even though Jeremiah was a faithful man of God, he
- 6:47Speaker 4: was not exempt from feeling the pain of what was
- 6:51Speaker 4: about to happen to the nation. He is not a
- 6:56Speaker 4: detached preacher. Here. He is grieving. His heart is connected
- 7:05Speaker 4: to the people. The pain of the people became his
- 7:13Speaker 4: own pain when he was the one that was right
- 7:18Speaker 4: with God. He was the one that was serving God
- 7:21Speaker 4: and being faithful to God, but he still felt the
- 7:25Speaker 4: pain of their disobedience. Now this verse, it reveals the
- 7:33Speaker 4: true heart of ministry and any good minister that is
- 7:37Speaker 4: worth his salt. Right, we're not called to just simply
- 7:43Speaker 4: preach a message and then go home, right, eat a sandwich.
- 7:47Speaker 4: We are called to carry burdens. We're supposed to carry
- 7:52Speaker 4: the burdens of the people. Jeremiah was not excited that
- 7:58Speaker 4: judgment was coming at all. His heart was broken because
- 8:02Speaker 4: people refuse to receive God's mercy. Now, remember Jesus himself
- 8:10Speaker 4: wept over Jerusalem because of the unbelief, right, because of
- 8:16Speaker 4: their unbelief. Now, ministry is marked by compassion, not condemnation.
- 8:30Speaker 4: If your ministry is spending more energy and more time
- 8:35Speaker 4: on condemning the people. You're missing the mark and man.
- 8:40Speaker 4: We are to have compassion on one another now and
- 8:45Speaker 4: for honest sometimes Christians become better at criticizing people than
- 8:52Speaker 4: crying for people. Jeremiah teaches us something different here. Instead
- 8:59Speaker 4: of saying I told you so, he says, my heart
- 9:04Speaker 4: is broken. That is how Jesus looked as sinners. That's
- 9:16Speaker 4: how we should look at our community. If our city
- 9:21Speaker 4: is broken, if our schools are hurting, if our families
- 9:25Speaker 4: are hurting, our first response should be compassion, not anger,
- 9:35Speaker 4: not being judgmental. Jeremiah had every right to gloat because
- 9:44Speaker 4: they resisted them. They threw them in prison. The false
- 9:47Speaker 4: prophets mocked them. He had over one hundred false prophets.
- 9:53Speaker 4: He was contending with that, we're opposing his message, and
- 9:58Speaker 4: in my flesh out of been like, yeah, but no,
- 10:05Speaker 4: that's not God's will and God's purpose. Amen twenty two.
- 10:10Speaker 4: Is there no bomb in Giliad? Is there no physician there? Why? Then,
- 10:16Speaker 4: is not the health of the daughter of my people received? Now,
- 10:23Speaker 4: Gilead was famous for producing healthy, healing bombs. It's like
- 10:29Speaker 4: a healing bomb. And Jeremiah asked a heartbreaking question if
- 10:37Speaker 4: healing even exists, Why aren't my people healed? Now? The
- 10:46Speaker 4: problem was God's lack of healing. The problem was the
- 10:53Speaker 4: people refused the cure. God was sitting there ready to heal,
- 10:58Speaker 4: waiting to heal them, but it was the people who refuse. Now,
- 11:05Speaker 4: God will always provide the remedy. The issue is are
- 11:13Speaker 4: the people willing to receive that remedy? God is willing
- 11:19Speaker 4: to forgive. But humanity, the question is are we willing
- 11:28Speaker 4: to repent? The great physician was never absent the patient
- 11:37Speaker 4: refused the treatment. Now Jesus is still the bomb in Gilead.
- 11:42Speaker 4: He still heals the broken marriages and broken hearts and
- 11:48Speaker 4: broken addictions and broken minds and broken families, broken lives.
- 11:54Speaker 4: The question isn't can Jesus heal? The question is will
- 12:00Speaker 4: we come to him and allow him to heal us? Amen?
- 12:12Speaker 4: Now I want you to pray for someone who has
- 12:16Speaker 4: wandered from God. Instead of arguing with them, we need
- 12:21Speaker 4: to love them. We need to encourage them, and we
- 12:25Speaker 4: need to intercede for them. We need to ask God
- 12:29Speaker 4: to become their bomb in Gilead. Amen. All right, let's
- 12:44Speaker 4: go to the next verse, actually the next chapter. We're
- 12:50Speaker 4: gonna transition to chapter nine. Verse one, Oh, that my
- 12:58Speaker 4: head were water in my eyes, a fountain of tears,
- 13:05Speaker 4: that on my week, day and night for the slain
- 13:09Speaker 4: of the daughters of my people. Now Jeremiah wishes he
- 13:16Speaker 4: could cry endlessly right here. This is not emotional exaggeration.
- 13:24Speaker 4: He is spiritually burden for his people. I believe this
- 13:32Speaker 4: might be where they get that turn from cry mea river. Right,
- 13:38Speaker 4: Jeremiah just wanted an endless amount of water to come
- 13:43Speaker 4: out of his eyes and to cry tears. Now, spiritual
- 13:51Speaker 4: maturity produces compassion, not hardness or not bitterness. Jeremiah's showing
- 13:58Speaker 4: us what it looks like when a servant of God
- 14:02Speaker 4: cries and carries the weight of people who are lost.
- 14:10Speaker 4: This is similar, like I said earlier to Jesus, crying
- 14:16Speaker 4: and weeping over Jerusalem. Now, if you ever stop crying
- 14:22Speaker 4: about people who are far from God, something is wrong
- 14:26Speaker 4: spiritually Jeremiah. He shows us that real ministry feels things deeply.
- 14:37Speaker 4: Now Verse two, all that I had in the wilderness,
- 14:41Speaker 4: a lodging place of wayfaring, of wayfaring men, that I
- 14:47Speaker 4: might leave my people and go from them, for they
- 14:51Speaker 4: be all adulterers and a simily of treacherous men. Now Jeremiah,
- 15:02Speaker 4: he feels overwhelmed here. He desires isolation because of the
- 15:08Speaker 4: corruption around him. And man, I've felt that before. Hallelujah.
- 15:15Speaker 4: I know we've all felt that, Like, you know what,
- 15:17Speaker 4: I just want to be by myself, you know, I
- 15:20Speaker 4: just want to do my own thing. I don't even
- 15:23Speaker 4: want to be around people. Even strong servants of God
- 15:30Speaker 4: can feel emotional exhaustion when surrounded by persistent rebellion. But
- 15:40Speaker 4: God still calls them to faithfulness, still cause them to
- 15:44Speaker 4: be faithful. Sometimes leadership is heavy. Jeremiah isn't quitting his calling.
- 15:51Speaker 4: He's just expressing the weight of it. If you ever
- 15:57Speaker 4: want to go into ministry, this is how it looks
- 16:00Speaker 4: like a man. Do a good, good in depth study
- 16:07Speaker 4: of this Book of Jeremiah, and you'll get a good
- 16:11Speaker 4: understanding of what pastors go through and what spiritual leaders
- 16:15Speaker 4: go through to stay faithful. Verse three. And they bend
- 16:23Speaker 4: their tongues like their bold for lies, but they are
- 16:28Speaker 4: not valiant for the truth upond the earth, for they
- 16:38Speaker 4: proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me,
- 16:42Speaker 4: says the Lord. Now this truth has been replaced with
- 16:48Speaker 4: deception when lion becomes normal behavior. They just they have
- 17:03Speaker 4: bent their tongue like their bold for lies. They just
- 17:06Speaker 4: speak lies like it's normal, like it's common now truth.
- 17:15Speaker 4: When truth is rejected, deception becomes the default language of society.
- 17:21Speaker 4: Let me say that again. When truth is rejected, deception
- 17:29Speaker 4: becomes the default language of society. And we're seeing this today.
- 17:38Speaker 4: When truth is removed, confusion takes it place. When we
- 17:42Speaker 4: see the Ten Commandments moved out of the courthouse, when
- 17:45Speaker 4: we see prayer moves out of the schools, what do
- 17:48Speaker 4: you think is going to replace that? Verse four and five,
- 17:55Speaker 4: Take ye heed every one of his neighbor, and trust
- 18:00Speaker 4: and any brother, for every brother will utterly supplant, and
- 18:08Speaker 4: every neighbor will walk with slanderers. Wow, And they will
- 18:13Speaker 4: deceive everyone his neighbor and will not speak the truth.
- 18:18Speaker 4: They have taught their link their tongue to speak lies
- 18:23Speaker 4: and weary themselves to commit iniquity. All right, let's break
- 18:30Speaker 4: this down. Now. Relationships are broken we see here in society,
- 18:36Speaker 4: and trust begins to disappear, and deception becomes normal, like
- 18:42Speaker 4: you can't even trust your neighbor. Now, remember we said
- 18:49Speaker 4: before how sin will never stay private. It will never
- 18:54Speaker 4: stay in one controlled area. Sin wants to take over
- 18:59Speaker 4: every area possible can. Sin can spread into relationships, families,
- 19:06Speaker 4: and entire communities. When a society loses truth, it loses
- 19:13Speaker 4: trust at the same time. And when trust is gone,
- 19:17Speaker 4: everything else breaks down. When you don't have trust in
- 19:24Speaker 4: a relationship, trust in a marriage, or trust at work,
- 19:35Speaker 4: a lot of times that's when people separate. That's when
- 19:44Speaker 4: relationships will not continue. Now Verse six, thine inhabitation is
- 19:53Speaker 4: in the midst of deceit. Through deceit, they refuse to
- 19:58Speaker 4: know me, says so Lord. Now deception becomes an environment
- 20:08Speaker 4: they live in, and it blocks their relationship with God.
- 20:19Speaker 4: Deception doesn't just affect behavior, it blinds spiritual understanding. We
- 20:27Speaker 4: got to understand that sin is a barrier between us
- 20:32Speaker 4: and God. We can never enjoy a close and intimate
- 20:38Speaker 4: relationship with God if we continue to love our sin.
- 20:43Speaker 4: You can't walk in lies and clearly hear God at
- 20:48Speaker 4: the same time. Truth opens our eyes, but deception will
- 20:54Speaker 4: blind us spiritually. Seven eight Therefore seven and eight excuse me. Therefore,
- 21:02Speaker 4: thus says Lord of hosts. Behold, I will melt them
- 21:08Speaker 4: and try them. For how shall I do for the
- 21:15Speaker 4: daughters of my people. Their tongue is as an arrow
- 21:21Speaker 4: shot out speaketh the deceit, and speaketh peaceably to his
- 21:28Speaker 4: neighbor with his mouth. But in heart he lieth, and
- 21:36Speaker 4: he waits, seeing how deception is running rampant. Now God
- 21:43Speaker 4: describes judgment as a refining fire. People speak peace outwardly
- 21:51Speaker 4: but plan to harm inwardly. When God sees it, God
- 21:56Speaker 4: sees the heart right. God's refining process exposes what is
- 22:06Speaker 4: real and what is false. That's why we need to
- 22:11Speaker 4: stay close to God. We need to stay close to
- 22:15Speaker 4: the Holy Spirit. We need to stay close to his word.
- 22:22Speaker 4: Now God is trying to help his people. He is
- 22:32Speaker 4: not trying to destroy his people. He is trying to
- 22:37Speaker 4: expose what's destroying him. He's trying to let them know
- 22:41Speaker 4: that this deception is not going to end well with you.
- 22:47Speaker 4: Verse nine through eleven. Shall I not visit them for
- 22:51Speaker 4: this thing, says the Lord. Shall not my soul be
- 22:55Speaker 4: avenged on such a nation as this. For the mountains
- 23:01Speaker 4: I will take up, and weeping and willing they are
- 23:06Speaker 4: burned up, so that none can pass through them. And
- 23:13Speaker 4: I will make Jerusalem heaps and a den of dragons.
- 23:19Speaker 4: And I will make the cities of Judah desolate. God
- 23:26Speaker 4: declares judgment, not out of cruelty, but out of justice.
- 23:33Speaker 4: A man, God is a just God. He knows how
- 23:36Speaker 4: to judge fairly. God knows how to revenge another one.
- 23:43Speaker 4: So if you're in a situation where your enemies are
- 23:47Speaker 4: rising up and people are coming at you, don't trip.
- 23:54Speaker 4: God will always avenge us if you allow him to.
- 24:05Speaker 4: Judgment is what happens when God finally lets people express
- 24:11Speaker 4: the path they chose without him. Now, this is the
- 24:20Speaker 4: end result of rejecting God repeatedly. If there is a pattern,
- 24:25Speaker 4: sometimes we could develop a pattern in our brain, we
- 24:31Speaker 4: could develop habits. And if you've developed a habit of
- 24:35Speaker 4: saying no to God continuously, then you could be in
- 24:41Speaker 4: a place where judgment is inevatable, unavoidable. Right, not because
- 24:51Speaker 4: God stopped loving us, but because people just simply stop
- 24:57Speaker 4: listening to God. All right, let's tick you break.
- 25:03Speaker 2: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 25:07Speaker 2: is the hiss hop radio show.
- 25:16Speaker 5: Please do not at all in my brow, guy nod,
- 25:20Speaker 5: that is you hearing me?
- 25:21Speaker 6: Is you hearing me?
- 25:22Speaker 5: I'm feeling like I'm tnc I'm ready to show why
- 25:25Speaker 5: you actually friending me.
- 25:26Speaker 3: You ain't friending me.
- 25:27Speaker 5: You're trying to tell me out and gee, I gotta
- 25:29Speaker 5: let you go. Let it go, a ge, let it go.
- 25:33Speaker 5: Why you trying to guess me? I ain't testical experien
- 25:36Speaker 5: in the backseat.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Tell me what it go? Tell me wed it go?
- 25:40Speaker 3: Tell me wedding go it on? You are once was right,
- 25:44Speaker 3: But I feel like I'm in the very love wait,
- 25:48Speaker 3: I don't even know. I just gotta find my way
- 25:51Speaker 3: back home.
- 25:52Speaker 6: I feel like every thard in my mind, I'll be
- 25:54Speaker 6: trying to decide, But sometimes I don't know, Like every
- 25:58Speaker 6: time at the time this guy.
- 26:00Speaker 3: Of Mamama, so food's on thrown.
- 26:03Speaker 6: Like every daring in my mind, I'm shot in the
- 26:06Speaker 6: side sometime I don't know every single time at the time,

- 26:26Speaker 5: Standing on that barbie, im it's tallness, ain't your reside said?
- 26:29Speaker 3: I don't want none of that I might try res

- 26:46Speaker 6: I don't need a feature, Holy spirit feature, yody, I follow.

- 27:00Speaker 3: In my mind, I'll be trying to the side.
- 27:02Speaker 6: But just sometimes I don't know, like every time at.
- 27:06Speaker 3: The time, I just gott to remind myself. Fool's on
- 27:09Speaker 3: the thrown.
- 27:10Speaker 6: Like e we dared in my mind, I'm shying at
- 27:13Speaker 6: the side. Sometimes I don't know every single time at

- 27:33Speaker 3: I just let it go. I just let it go away.
- 27:36Speaker 3: Why you trying to gast me here? I ain't touch
- 27:38Speaker 3: a cold experience in the backseat.
- 27:40Speaker 6: You tell me where to go, tell me where to go,
- 27:43Speaker 6: tell me where to goes.
- 27:45Speaker 3: It's just letting you up. I'm right with I be
- 27:48Speaker 3: like I'm in the vale when I don't even know.
- 27:52Speaker 3: I just gotta find my way back home, like I
- 27:55Speaker 3: retart in my.
- 27:56Speaker 6: Mind to be trying to the side.
- 27:58Speaker 3: Sometimes I don't don't know.
- 28:00Speaker 6: See like every time at the time, I just got him.
- 28:03Speaker 3: Mind myself whose songs thrown? Feel like every dog in

- 28:13Speaker 6: I just got it with mind myself. Gos on wrong,

- 31:19Speaker 4: our message because we got to put it into action,
- 31:23Speaker 4: just like we said in our verse of the day.
- 31:27Speaker 4: So this challenge is call your accountability partner and ask
- 31:31Speaker 4: them where in your life if you allowed compromise or
- 31:36Speaker 4: deception instead of truth. Ask God for clarity in correction
- 31:46Speaker 4: if needed. This week, Amen, we always need to maintenance
- 31:51Speaker 4: our hearts, and we always need to fact check our

- 33:01Speaker 4: Zone three has been the trivia champ. I know that

- 33:48Speaker 4: was the name of the prophet who confronted King a
- 33:52Speaker 4: Haveb and Queen Jazebel. Like I said, the first one
- 33:58Speaker 4: wins ragged rights for today. Also, quick community shout out.

- 35:55Speaker 4: for taking time out to check us out every day
- 36:00Speaker 4: at eleven PST. But Jeremiah eighty nine, But it teaches
- 36:08Speaker 4: us today in today's episode, is that God grees over
- 36:12Speaker 4: lost people, and we should too. We should have a
- 36:16Speaker 4: heart for the loss. Also, truth is essential for a
- 36:23Speaker 4: healthy society. If we walk away from truth, that we
- 36:28Speaker 4: are in danger as a nation. Amen Reception destroys trust
- 36:38Speaker 4: and community. Right people don't want to be around people.
- 36:43Speaker 4: If you destroying my trust, then I'm gonna walk away
- 36:47Speaker 4: from you a man. Also, sin spreads beyond individuals. Sin
- 36:56Speaker 4: cannot be contained locally. Sin will spread about the old nation.
- 37:01Speaker 4: That's why you can't tell people, Oh, you just live
- 37:04Speaker 4: how you want is none of my business. It doesn't
- 37:08Speaker 4: bother me. No, we have to stop the corruption before
- 37:12Speaker 4: it spreads. God's judgment isn't always the first thing that
- 37:23Speaker 4: he wants to do. He wants to redeem us. But
- 37:27Speaker 4: God is just and his judgments are always righteous. We
- 37:33Speaker 4: have a righteous king of righteous God that one day
- 37:38Speaker 4: who is going to evaluate and judge our lives. We
- 37:41Speaker 4: have to give an answer to him. Man, get it
- 37:45Speaker 4: right now, and God still calls people back through repentance.
- 37:51Speaker 4: Now is an opportunity. Now is the time. Tomorrow's not promised.
- 37:56Speaker 4: Now is the time to repent, to receive God's help
- 38:02Speaker 4: while he is offering it to us. Because one day, beloved,
- 38:07Speaker 4: if we wait long enough, it will be too late. Amen.
- 38:15Speaker 4: When I pray that that will happen, that will not
- 38:17Speaker 4: happen to any of us. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, give
- 38:23Speaker 4: us hearts like Jeremiah, hearts that feel what you feel. God,
- 38:31Speaker 4: pull us away from deception and into your truth. Heal
- 38:37Speaker 4: our land, our families, and our communities, and draw us
- 38:42Speaker 4: closer to You, O God. And we asked these things
- 38:46Speaker 4: in Jesus' name. Amen, and remember it's not about us,
- 38:51Speaker 4: It's all about the Christ and us God bless.
- 39:00Speaker 2: Hmmmm. You are listening to the light of Las Vegas.
- 39:10Speaker 2: This is the hisis Hop radio show.
