- 0:24SPEAKER_09: Oh my god.
- 0:25SPEAKER_09: I did it again, Ren.
- 0:27SPEAKER_04: What did you do?
- 0:27SPEAKER_09: I started talking when Felicia.
- 0:30SPEAKER_04: I do that too every time.
- 0:31SPEAKER_04: It's because I get so hyped up.
- 0:33SPEAKER_09: Well, and you know, we're used to the other, we're used to not having her.
- 0:36SPEAKER_09: I mean, we had it for so long without her.
- 0:38SPEAKER_09: And now we do have her.
- 0:39SPEAKER_04: But we have it, and we need to appreciate it.
- 0:42SPEAKER_04: Thank you, Felicia.
- 0:43SPEAKER_04: We love you.
- 0:44SPEAKER_09: We do love you, Felicia, and we're sorry that we're not going to be seeing much of you.
- 0:47SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 0:48SPEAKER_04: Do we break the news?
- 0:49SPEAKER_09: I don't I I have kind of.
- 0:52SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 0:53SPEAKER_09: I know.
- 0:53SPEAKER_09: She threw a tortilla at me.
- 0:57SPEAKER_04: I wish I could see their reactions.
- 0:59SPEAKER_04: We're at our new recording location.
- 1:01SPEAKER_04: Well, yeah, we're testing it out.
- 1:02SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:02SPEAKER_04: We're testing it out.
- 1:03SPEAKER_04: Desert River Guides in Farmington, New Mexico.
- 1:06SPEAKER_09: And it won't be long before we'll be going live on radio.
- 1:09SPEAKER_09: Well, first of all, we're at the Desert River Guide.
- 1:12SPEAKER_09: Right.
- 1:13SPEAKER_09: And we have, and your lovely mother is here.
- 1:15SPEAKER_03: My lovely mother with her lovely little dog Coco.
- 1:17SPEAKER_09: And I want to say with a leash that will hold me back.
- 1:21SPEAKER_09: And that dog is about the size of a cantaloupe.
- 1:24SPEAKER_04: It's like a Japanese sailor rope.
- 1:26SPEAKER_09: It's great.
- 1:27SPEAKER_09: But anyway, um wait, hold on, hold on.
- 1:30SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 1:30SPEAKER_09: Oh my god.
- 1:31SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 1:31SPEAKER_09: Okay, um, so today.
- 1:33SPEAKER_04: That's a taste of our humor.
- 1:35SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:37SPEAKER_09: So today is special for me too because uh, and I found out that you have seen this show.
- 1:42SPEAKER_09: I I was kind of shocked and surprised.
- 1:45SPEAKER_02: Shocked and surprised.
- 1:45SPEAKER_09: I was, I was, because this is more, you know, you're you're a Comic-Con kind of girl.
- 1:50SPEAKER_02: Oh, fair.
- 1:50SPEAKER_09: And in you and do costumes and and I know I think in spotties.
- 1:55SPEAKER_09: Yes.
- 1:56SPEAKER_04: We've been to many a con together.
- 1:57SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 1:58SPEAKER_09: And I love your con.
- 1:59SPEAKER_09: I'm still one you're gonna have to come down here sometime in your Joker outfit.
- 2:03SPEAKER_13: Oh my gosh.
- 2:05SPEAKER_13: I think I know what we're gonna talk about in the race today, too.
- 2:08SPEAKER_09: So we you know, next time we have a theme, next theme we come up will be something like that, okay?
- 2:13SPEAKER_04: It could be Joker energy.
- 2:14SPEAKER_04: That'll be the whole show, and nobody will know what I'm talking about.
- 2:19SPEAKER_09: But I'm I'm a I'm a major Rocky horror picture fan.
- 2:23SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 2:23SPEAKER_09: I mean, I have been I was working at a station in Big Spring, Texas, and I talked the movie guy into bringing it in.
- 2:33SPEAKER_09: Uh he didn't want to because it's the the the crowd is messy.
- 2:37SPEAKER_04: Oh, I'm oh yeah.
- 2:38SPEAKER_09: You know, they are messy.
- 2:39SPEAKER_04: They throw things at the screen, they really get in there.
- 2:42SPEAKER_09: Hot dogs.
- 2:43SPEAKER_09: Hot dogs.
- 2:43SPEAKER_09: Red hot dogs, uh raw hot dogs.
- 2:45SPEAKER_04: I don't know the yeah, I don't know them full yeah.
- 2:48SPEAKER_04: Frankfurter.
- 2:49SPEAKER_09: Whenever Frankfurter, Dr.
- 2:50SPEAKER_09: Frankfurter, yeah, they go hot dogs.
- 2:53SPEAKER_09: And there's a participation, you know, so every time Janet comes on the screen, they're like, damn it, Janet!
- 2:59SPEAKER_04: Janet, and they're singing the songs.
- 3:00SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
- 3:01SPEAKER_04: One of the one of the actresses from just you know, in the local theater gets up and plays her.
- 3:06SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 3:06SPEAKER_04: Oh, that's so much fun.
- 3:07SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 3:09SPEAKER_09: It was good in the sound, the me and the music itself, and the reason we're doing it now is because I don't think we can do it on radio when we go live on AMFM radio.
- 3:19SPEAKER_04: We're gonna get it out of our system.
- 3:21SPEAKER_04: I love it.
- 3:21SPEAKER_04: I wondered why you had such a fire to do Rocky Horror this week.
- 3:24SPEAKER_09: Yeah, I I wonder, because the next two shows are our last two recorded podcasts from this day from this day on.
- 3:32SPEAKER_04: Sounds so serious.
- 3:33SPEAKER_09: Yeah, from this day on we'll be doing well, at least through July and August.
- 3:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 3:38SPEAKER_09: At least, and we'll see how it goes from there.
- 3:40SPEAKER_03: Fair.
- 3:41SPEAKER_09: Alright, so um Rocky Horror Picture Show.
- 3:44SPEAKER_09: Yeah, so I I want to start all these songs.
- 3:47SPEAKER_04: Can I can I describe my history with it?
- 3:49SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah.
- 3:50SPEAKER_09: Well, I'm glad you brought that up because I wanted to know exactly how in the world did you dress up?
- 3:56SPEAKER_09: Because I can so see you dressing up.
- 3:58SPEAKER_04: It's it's it's it's funny.
- 4:00SPEAKER_04: Scotty's gonna be involved in this story, and so is my involved in that.
- 4:03SPEAKER_04: When I was a kid and I saw Rocky Horror Picture Show when I was 12, it scared me.
- 4:09SPEAKER_04: It's just funny to think now with all the horror movies I watched, I was just um really sensitive to the thoughts of being like kidnapped and trapped in a house, and you know, and then everybody was so sexy, I didn't know I didn't understand.
- 4:23SPEAKER_04: So as a kid, it just like really stressed me out, and I had like nightmares that night.
- 4:28SPEAKER_04: It wasn't that I was afraid of it, but it was just too much for me.
- 4:31SPEAKER_04: I had no idea.
- 4:32SPEAKER_04: You didn't.
- 4:34SPEAKER_04: No, you didn't show it to me.
- 4:35SPEAKER_04: I put it on.
- 4:36SPEAKER_04: Oh, oh, oh.
- 4:37SPEAKER_04: And I only say my mom might be able to collaborate because I just remember you being there.
- 4:42SPEAKER_04: Um, yeah, no, you're good.
- 4:45SPEAKER_04: I think you were like, let's turn this off.
- 4:48SPEAKER_04: I think you were the one who was like, this isn't good for you.
- 4:51SPEAKER_09: You sound just like your mother.
- 4:53SPEAKER_04: Oh, thank you.
- 4:53SPEAKER_04: I can only do it when I don't realize.
- 4:55SPEAKER_09: And I meant that as a compliment.
- 4:57SPEAKER_04: Thank you.
- 4:57SPEAKER_04: Um but years and years and years pass, and I never watched it until my good friend Scotty here watched it and said that it was awesome.
- 5:03SPEAKER_04: Yes, dude.
- 5:04SPEAKER_04: You liked it?
- 5:04SPEAKER_04: I really liked it.
- 5:05SPEAKER_04: I like it.
- 5:05SPEAKER_04: I love Scotty.
- 5:06SPEAKER_09: She can do whatever she wants.
- 5:07SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 5:07SPEAKER_09: She doesn't have to do the accent.
- 5:10SPEAKER_04: She does the good.
- 5:11SPEAKER_04: She saved my life.
- 5:13SPEAKER_04: She's got good taste.
- 5:15SPEAKER_04: She's friends with me.
- 5:16SPEAKER_04: Yeah, well, uh, yeah, we watched it and I found that I I loved it.
- 5:20SPEAKER_04: I just definitely as formature audience.
- 5:23SPEAKER_09: Yes, absolutely.
- 5:23SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 5:24SPEAKER_09: And you know, I think I'm gonna talk to the folks at the Island Theater, see if they can't bring it back.
- 5:28SPEAKER_04: Oh, that would be a plan.
- 5:29SPEAKER_09: You know, for a week's run or something.
- 5:31SPEAKER_09: I mean, it's still playing all over the world.
- 5:32SPEAKER_04: And then maybe they could even provide their own like little props of people are throwing raw hot dogs at the screen.
- 5:38SPEAKER_04: Maybe they're just throwing like styrofoam.
- 5:40SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 5:41SPEAKER_09: They can make some fake ones.
- 5:42SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 5:42SPEAKER_09: It was a nasty mess.
- 5:44SPEAKER_09: And the guy cussed me.
- 5:45SPEAKER_09: Uh the guy at the movie theater owner cussed me afterward, but oh, oh, he cussed me and then he later he smiled at me and said, Let's do it again.
- 5:55SPEAKER_09: So yeah.
- 5:56SPEAKER_09: The place was packed almost every and we showed it at midnight.
- 6:00SPEAKER_03: Oh, perfect.
- 6:01SPEAKER_09: So we had people coming over from Midland, Texas, all over San Antonio.
- 6:05SPEAKER_09: They were not San Antonio, that's too far out, but San Angelo, places like that.
- 6:09SPEAKER_09: People were coming in just to see that show.
- 6:10SPEAKER_04: Well, and speaking of like the group everything, that's gotta be pretty amazing.
- 6:14SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 6:14SPEAKER_04: Something like that.
- 6:15SPEAKER_09: All right, well, this it was it the the show itself was originally rected uh directed by Jim uh Sharman.
- 6:22SPEAKER_09: It was produced by Lou Adler and Michael White.
- 6:25SPEAKER_09: Screenplay, who like the guy is a freaking genius, in my opinion, is uh was Richard O'Brien.
- 6:31SPEAKER_09: Richard O'Brien with help from Jim Sharman.
- 6:33SPEAKER_04: If I'm not uh if I'm not mistaken, does he play the the butler in the movie?
- 6:38SPEAKER_09: He does, yeah, yeah, yeah, he does, you're right.
- 6:41SPEAKER_09: Um and then uh they had Tim Car Curry starring with Susan Saradin and uh Barry Boswick were the main three characters, and it was narrated by Charles Gray.
- 6:50SPEAKER_09: And uh music was by Richard Hartley.
- 6:53SPEAKER_09: So Richard Hartley did the music, uh, but uh Richard O'Brien was uh helped with all of that.
- 6:58SPEAKER_04: Cool.
- 6:59SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 6:59SPEAKER_04: Um was it like kind of early in Susan Sarandon's career?
- 7:03SPEAKER_04: Oh, it was, it was extremely early.
- 7:05SPEAKER_04: Because now Susan Sarandon, Tim Curry, those are all like legends.
- 7:09SPEAKER_09: Exactly.
- 7:09SPEAKER_04: Well was all even in it.
- 7:11SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 7:11SPEAKER_09: And that was before Meatloaf was Meatloaf, I think.
- 7:14SPEAKER_09: Yeah, or like he didn't know.
- 7:15SPEAKER_09: Eddie, you played Eddie, yeah.
- 7:16SPEAKER_09: Played Eddie.
- 7:17SPEAKER_09: Um and I don't think he sings, he plays the dang uh saxophone.
- 7:22SPEAKER_04: Oh, he means.
- 7:27SPEAKER_04: You've seen it, right, Pom?
- 7:28SPEAKER_09: Cinematographer, which we need to give him credit, is Peter Susk.
- 7:32SPEAKER_09: I don't know, Ren.
- 7:33SPEAKER_04: Let me let me Yeah, you check that out for me.
- 7:36SPEAKER_04: Stretch my what is it?
- 7:37SPEAKER_04: Peter Sushis sushi's it it it looks um it looks uh uh Polish.
- 7:46SPEAKER_09: Yeah, kind of.
- 7:47SPEAKER_09: The choreography was off the charts.
- 7:53SPEAKER_04: I'll let you folks handle that.
- 7:55SPEAKER_09: I'll put it all on the uh Buzzspot webpage too, so that it's all on there.
- 7:59SPEAKER_09: But we do need to go into order.
- 8:01SPEAKER_09: Um and I'm not too sure if you're familiar with all the songs, but we need we just need to go to order.
- 8:07SPEAKER_09: And the first one, of course, it was done by Richard O'Brien.
- 8:10SPEAKER_09: And that's uh and it's the science fiction double feature.
- 8:14SPEAKER_04: This one is everything.
- 8:18SPEAKER_09: Yeah, I love it.
- 8:56SPEAKER_12: They got caught in a cellular gem, then it was a base, it came from outer space, and this is how the message ran silence fiction Dr.
- 9:32SPEAKER_12: Creature, the Android Spitman, and Francis stars in what I'm at double feature which you show.
- 10:17SPEAKER_12: I knew Leo G.
- 10:19SPEAKER_12: Carol was over a barrel when Tarantula took to the hills.
- 10:28SPEAKER_12: And I really got hot when I saw Jeanette Scott fight a trip that spits poison and kills.
- 10:38SPEAKER_12: Dana Anderson cruise, gave him the ruse, and I think the news lots of skills.
- 10:49SPEAKER_12: But when worlds collide, said George Powell to his bride, I'm gonna give you some terrible thrills, like a scratcher, the picture Doctor Match, the Android and France for the planet, one to the late night, double picture, grid you show by To the late night, double feature, pitch, show in the back row.
- 12:28SPEAKER_12: Uh to the late night, double feature, picture show.
- 12:44SPEAKER_09: Do do do show.
- 12:47SPEAKER_04: That is such a mood.
- 12:48SPEAKER_04: Oh it's dreamy, it's cosmic.
- 12:50SPEAKER_09: You know, it brings back so much.
- 12:52SPEAKER_09: I I want to say that um I started to listen to the soundtrack before we did the show.
- 12:56SPEAKER_13: Cool.
- 12:56SPEAKER_09: But I said, nope.
- 12:58SPEAKER_09: I want to feel that feeling that I had when I did it.
- 13:01SPEAKER_09: I mean, it brings that back.
- 13:02SPEAKER_09: I can't tell you how many times I've seen the show.
- 13:04SPEAKER_04: Um, growing up as a bit of a weirdo too, and becoming more of a weirdo as I get older.
- 13:09SPEAKER_09: I hate that you call yourself that.
- 13:10SPEAKER_09: Not a real way.
- 13:11SPEAKER_04: I mean it in a really strong way.
- 13:14SPEAKER_04: It's true.
- 13:15SPEAKER_04: When you're when when I was a when I was a kid, people called me weird and it hurt my feelings.
- 13:19SPEAKER_04: So I said, you know what?
- 13:20SPEAKER_04: I am weird and I love it.
- 13:22SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 13:23SPEAKER_04: Um, I'm freaky, and I'm gonna flow on it, or whatever the Bruno Mars line is.
- 13:28SPEAKER_04: And uh that's what I liked about Rocky, watching Rocky War Picture show.
- 13:31SPEAKER_04: It is it is for people.
- 13:33SPEAKER_09: Yeah, absolutely, I agree.
- 13:35SPEAKER_09: All right, well, listen, I wanna I wanna get uh we're gonna have Debonese today, we're gonna have Ren Rants.
- 13:39SPEAKER_09: Now, I do not want you to do, we'll save the second rant for the show itself.
- 13:44SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I have an idea of what I want to talk about today.
- 13:47SPEAKER_09: Okay, perfect.
- 13:49SPEAKER_09: You'll I guess Scotty's involved because you put your hand on Scotty's shoulder.
- 13:53SPEAKER_04: And I I stared really deeply into her eyes and intent.
- 13:56SPEAKER_09: When we do this, are we both gonna we're both gonna do like this?
- 14:03unknown: We're all done.
- 14:05SPEAKER_09: We don't have video, but we've had a little huddle.
- 14:09SPEAKER_04: We had a big little huddle.
- 14:10SPEAKER_04: You feel hyped up.
- 14:11SPEAKER_09: Anyway, Davenise is coming up.
- 14:12SPEAKER_09: We have uh Rin Rance is gonna be later on, uh the last part of the show.
- 14:16SPEAKER_09: And then, of course, I think we should answer an email, and I have, I think, one of the perfect ones for this.
- 14:21SPEAKER_09: For the summertime, I think.
- 14:23SPEAKER_04: I keep looking at Scotty, but it's because she knows how much I like to give advice.
- 14:27SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 14:28SPEAKER_09: As long as you just keep playing the music, we're good.
- 14:31SPEAKER_09: Yes, ma'am, yes, sir.
- 14:32SPEAKER_09: Yes, ma'am, yes, sir.
- 14:34SPEAKER_04: Yes, Colonel.
- 14:35SPEAKER_04: General.
- 14:36SPEAKER_09: Did you are you demoting me now?
- 14:38SPEAKER_04: No, you're the general, and I guess I'm Colonel Wren.
- 14:40SPEAKER_04: I don't know.
- 14:41SPEAKER_04: Colonel Wren.
- 14:42SPEAKER_04: Here, here, let's uh let's figure this all out.
- 14:44SPEAKER_04: Let's play another song.
- 14:45SPEAKER_09: Yeah, see how she straight through everything.
- 14:48SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and make it look like it's your fault when you're the one who's like listening to it.
- 14:51SPEAKER_09: So the next the next one in here is uh Susan Search and then uh Barry Boswick, and it's one of my favorites.
- 14:57SPEAKER_09: Damn it, damn it.
- 15:00SPEAKER_09: Three times real fast you start it.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: I've got something to say.
- 15:06SPEAKER_02: Yes, man.
- 15:07SPEAKER_02: Uh-huh.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: I really love the skillful way.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: You beat the other girls.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: To the bride.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 15:24SPEAKER_15: The river was deep, but I swam it.
- 15:26SPEAKER_15: Janet, the future is ours, so let's plan it.
- 15:30SPEAKER_15: Janet.
- 15:30SPEAKER_15: So please don't tell me decan it.
- 15:33SPEAKER_15: Janet, I've one thing to say, and that's damn it.
- 15:36SPEAKER_15: Janet, I love you.
- 15:40SPEAKER_15: The road was long, but I ran it.
- 15:43SPEAKER_15: Janet, there's a fire in my heart and you fan it.
- 15:46SPEAKER_15: Janet.
- 15:46SPEAKER_15: If there's one fool for you, then I am it.
- 15:49SPEAKER_15: Janet.
- 15:50SPEAKER_15: I've one thing to say, and that's damn it.
- 15:52SPEAKER_15: Janet, I love you.
- 15:57SPEAKER_15: Here's a ring to prove that I loved your bad.
- 16:03SPEAKER_10: There's three ways that love can woo.
- 16:09SPEAKER_15: And that's good or bad or medium.
- 16:15SPEAKER_14: Oh, J A N E T, I love you so.
- 16:21SPEAKER_12: Oh, it's nice to the fatty little row has a rat.
- 16:25SPEAKER_12: Now we're engaged among so flat.
- 16:28SPEAKER_12: That you met mom and you know dad.
- 16:30SPEAKER_12: Oh brat.
- 16:31SPEAKER_12: Wanting to say a let's Janet.
- 16:49SPEAKER_13: Janet.
- 16:52SPEAKER_13: I love to do.
- 16:57SPEAKER_13: That's one thing left to do.
- 17:02SPEAKER_15: And that's go see the man who began it.
- 17:06SPEAKER_15: When we met in his science exam it.
- 17:09SPEAKER_15: Make me give you the eye and then panic.
- 17:12SPEAKER_15: Now I've one thing to say, and that's damn it, Janet.
- 17:16SPEAKER_15: I love you.
- 17:24SPEAKER_13: I met it.
- 17:29SPEAKER_13: I love you.
- 17:37SPEAKER_09: That was uh that was Susan Saradin with lots of help from Wren.
- 17:41SPEAKER_02: Saradin?
- 17:42SPEAKER_02: I thought it was Sarandon.
- 17:43SPEAKER_09: Sarandon.
- 17:44SPEAKER_09: Sorry, did I say Saraden?
- 17:45SPEAKER_09: Yeah, Sarandon.
- 17:46SPEAKER_09: Sarrandon.
- 17:47SPEAKER_09: Did I say it the first time, Susan Saradin?
- 17:49SPEAKER_04: I think you said.
- 17:50SPEAKER_09: Is Susan Saradin a person?
- 17:51SPEAKER_04: Uh well, wherever there is a Susan Saradin, she's really confused as why you keep saying her name and saying that she's in Rocky Horror.
- 17:58SPEAKER_09: Sorry, Susan.
- 18:00SPEAKER_04: Shout out to all the Susies.
- 18:02SPEAKER_09: Listen, you know that you Richard O'Brien, the guy that's uh actually responsible for this thing, was unemployed.
- 18:07SPEAKER_09: He was an actor in London during the early 70s, and he wrote most of the Rocky Horror Picture Show during the one winter just to occupy himself.
- 18:17SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 18:18SPEAKER_02: Just to I think about that for a second.
- 18:20SPEAKER_09: He's uh he's loved science fiction, he's a B horror movie uh fan, big time, and he wanted to combine the elements to get all of that.
- 18:29SPEAKER_04: He really he really created a feel because that I think is what shocked me so much as a child is it's such a like thought-out little pocket dimension.
- 18:39SPEAKER_04: It's hard to describe, and you get swept away into it, and I was just like as a kid, but you can put it on even now, and it just takes you to this special little place, which I guess was in this guy's head that he just had to get on paper so he wouldn't go mad.
- 18:54SPEAKER_09: Well, remember that for yourself, because I think you gotta put some crap on paper.
- 18:58SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah, good point.
- 18:59SPEAKER_04: Um you see how much I talk.
- 19:00SPEAKER_04: Some of this should just be going onto the paper.
- 19:02SPEAKER_09: Yeah, you get you a keyboard and type.
- 19:05SPEAKER_09: So I'm gonna give I'm gonna get you a computer and I want you to type like crazy.
- 19:10SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 19:10SPEAKER_09: Just type and type, and I've got the belches.
- 19:13SPEAKER_09: I'm sort of just type and type.
- 19:16SPEAKER_04: Just the way you were doing it.
- 19:17SPEAKER_04: It was giving you kind of fun emphasis.
- 19:19SPEAKER_04: Listen here.
- 19:21SPEAKER_04: This is how it's gonna work.
- 19:22SPEAKER_04: I wish we had video.
- 19:23SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 19:24SPEAKER_04: Someday, someday.
- 19:25SPEAKER_04: But uh, oh my gosh.
- 19:26SPEAKER_09: We're gonna do YouTube uh for sure.
- 19:28SPEAKER_04: And I'm gonna try and start editing some videos because I love to edit.
- 19:31SPEAKER_09: Okay, yeah, well, I gotta get to that computer sooner then.
- 19:34SPEAKER_09: Okay, so um, you know, I'm not real wild about this song, but we gotta play it because it's part of it.
- 19:39SPEAKER_09: And this has uh all Richard O'Brien and Susan Saradin.
- 19:43SPEAKER_04: Sarandon.
- 19:45SPEAKER_04: Sarandon.
- 19:46SPEAKER_04: Saran Rap.
- 19:47SPEAKER_04: You know, Susan Saran.
- 19:48SPEAKER_09: Oh, I'll have to remember it that way.
- 19:50SPEAKER_09: Saradin.
- 19:51SPEAKER_04: S Saran Rap.
- 19:55SPEAKER_09: Sorry.
- 19:56SPEAKER_09: And Barry Boswick.
- 19:58SPEAKER_09: Uh that they're performing this one, and then it's another Richard O'Brien, too.
- 20:01SPEAKER_09: It's all you.
- 20:02SPEAKER_04: That's all me.
- 20:02SPEAKER_09: It's all you.
- 20:03SPEAKER_09: Play it.
- 20:03SPEAKER_04: All right, play it baby.
- 20:05SPEAKER_04: I'm not gonna play the song.
- 20:05SPEAKER_04: I'm gonna talk over it the whole time.
- 20:07SPEAKER_04: Just kidding.
- 21:40SPEAKER_12: Streaming Flow morph the sun and light come streaming in to my life.
- 22:32SPEAKER_12: In the darkness of everybody's life.
- 22:45SPEAKER_09: Thank you, Christine.
- 22:47SPEAKER_04: No, no, so in um theater, just so everybody knows how much time is left before the show goes on, they'll be like, you know, 20 minutes to house, and everybody in the green room goes, thank you, 20.
- 22:59SPEAKER_04: Thank you, 20.
- 23:00SPEAKER_09: Oh.
- 23:01SPEAKER_04: So that you hear that you've acknowledged the time.
- 23:04SPEAKER_05: You've acknowledged the time.
- 23:05SPEAKER_09: Alright, so that's I I used to, when I coached.
- 23:08SPEAKER_05: Coached?
- 23:09SPEAKER_09: Yeah, I did coach baseball and football.
- 23:11SPEAKER_09: That's right.
- 23:11SPEAKER_09: Hey, little little guys.
- 23:13SPEAKER_04: And you'll have to keep going.
- 23:14SPEAKER_04: I have something that we have to do.
- 23:15SPEAKER_09: Okay, well, real quick, I just made them reply.
- 23:18SPEAKER_09: Whatever I said to them, they had to say it back to me, and then add sur at the end.
- 23:21SPEAKER_09: Perfect.
- 23:22SPEAKER_09: There you go.
- 23:22SPEAKER_09: That's what it was for.
- 23:23SPEAKER_04: That's pretty much what it is.
- 23:25SPEAKER_04: I was just gonna say, where where did you live in Colorado?
- 23:27SPEAKER_04: Uh I lived in Lamar.
- 23:28SPEAKER_04: Lamar.
- 23:29SPEAKER_04: Lamar.
- 23:29SPEAKER_04: And doesn't your son live in Lamar?
- 23:31SPEAKER_09: No, no, no, he did.
- 23:32SPEAKER_09: He went to school in Lamar.
- 23:33SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 23:34SPEAKER_04: Was he there for baseball?
- 23:35SPEAKER_09: He was no, uh golf.
- 23:37SPEAKER_09: Golf.
- 23:37SPEAKER_05: Golf.
- 23:38SPEAKER_05: Oh.
- 23:38SPEAKER_05: He's a golfer.
- 23:39SPEAKER_05: There's a lot of people that go to Lamar for baseball.
- 23:41SPEAKER_05: No, he was.
- 23:42SPEAKER_05: And I'm like, I'm so sorry you guys moved here.
- 23:47SPEAKER_09: That's why he came back.
- 23:49SPEAKER_05: It's like, it's desolate.
- 23:51SPEAKER_05: Really sad.
- 23:51SPEAKER_05: All you have is a Walmart.
- 23:53SPEAKER_05: Might as well just cry.
- 23:54SPEAKER_05: I drove through there.
- 23:55SPEAKER_09: It wasn't that bad.
- 23:56SPEAKER_09: But it smells, there's like a cow.
- 24:00SPEAKER_09: Cattle.
- 24:01SPEAKER_04: What did your dad used to say?
- 24:02SPEAKER_04: Smells like money.
- 24:04SPEAKER_04: Gosh dang it, Dad.
- 24:05SPEAKER_09: No.
- 24:06SPEAKER_09: Oh.
- 24:06SPEAKER_09: Your dad and I'd get along fine.
- 24:08SPEAKER_09: Well, because I've said the same thing.
- 24:10SPEAKER_09: Oh, she's no, she says.
- 24:12SPEAKER_04: There's been some drama lately.
- 24:14SPEAKER_04: Oh, never mind.
- 24:15SPEAKER_04: Let's move on.
- 24:16SPEAKER_04: You'd get it, you'd you'd get along on the the never mind.
- 24:19SPEAKER_04: Let's let's move on.
- 24:20SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 24:23SPEAKER_09: You're digging a hole too deep to get out of, Ren.
- 24:25SPEAKER_09: I'm getting sweaty.
- 24:27SPEAKER_04: This is one of those moments.
- 24:28SPEAKER_04: I'm glad we don't have a camera.
- 24:29SPEAKER_09: Um, you know, I was gonna acknowledge a couple of things.
- 24:32SPEAKER_09: We're and we're gonna we're gonna do uh Dave Venez next, but I wanted to acknowledge a couple more things.
- 24:37SPEAKER_09: He he showed uh what O'Brien did was show a portion of the unfinished script to the Australian director Jim Sharman, and that's how Jim got involved.
- 24:46SPEAKER_09: He decided to uh direct it uh in a small experimental space upstairs at the Royal Court Theater.
- 24:53SPEAKER_04: Wow.
- 24:54SPEAKER_09: Yeah upstairs, okay.
- 24:55SPEAKER_09: Upstairs.
- 24:56SPEAKER_04: And so the whole mansion was a was a theater?
- 25:00unknown: Yeah.
- 25:00SPEAKER_04: Just like different sections of the theater?
- 25:02SPEAKER_04: That's really cool.
- 25:02SPEAKER_09: That's all originally, yeah.
- 25:04SPEAKER_04: That's really cool.
- 25:05SPEAKER_09: Um, but you know, it was the same theater they did Jesus Christ Superstars.
- 25:09SPEAKER_04: Oh, sick.
- 25:09SPEAKER_09: So how how ironic is that?
- 25:11SPEAKER_09: Beautiful.
- 25:12SPEAKER_04: That's very cool.
- 25:13SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 25:13SPEAKER_09: Alright, so we got David's coming up.
- 25:15SPEAKER_09: Let's do what let's do another song.
- 25:16SPEAKER_09: All right.
- 25:16SPEAKER_09: How many we do how many we have down?
- 25:18SPEAKER_04: We have three.
- 25:19SPEAKER_09: Three down.
- 25:19SPEAKER_09: Oh, oh, what did we just play?
- 25:23SPEAKER_04: We played over at the Frankenstein Frankenstein place.
- 25:27SPEAKER_04: You guys are seeing now I've got the belts.
- 25:29SPEAKER_09: I'm like, You guys are gonna have to take your headsets off because you're gonna have to do this right after that.
- 25:34SPEAKER_04: Yeah, everybody, I need you to stop what you're doing, put down your dishes, put down your food.
- 25:38SPEAKER_04: You need to get up and dance in this song because it is a dancing.
- 25:42SPEAKER_09: This is Lil' Nel, who also played the um fiery redhead.
- 25:47SPEAKER_09: Oh yeah.
- 25:47SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 25:51SPEAKER_09: And Patricia Quinn and Richard O'Brien.
- 25:53SPEAKER_03: Richard O'Brien.
- 25:54SPEAKER_09: And it's time warp.
- 25:56SPEAKER_09: Let's do it again.
- 25:56SPEAKER_09: Uh baby.
- 25:57SPEAKER_09: I wanna I wanna say keep your hand on your hip and let your backbone slip, right?
- 26:01SPEAKER_09: Is that how it goes?
- 26:02SPEAKER_09: It's astounding.
- 26:05SPEAKER_06: Time is fleeting.
- 26:08SPEAKER_06: Madness takes its toll.
- 26:13SPEAKER_06: But listen closely.
- 26:16SPEAKER_08: Not for very much longer.
- 26:20SPEAKER_06: I've got to keep control.
- 26:27SPEAKER_13: Do it.
- 26:52SPEAKER_16: It's just a jump to the lens.
- 26:58SPEAKER_14: Put your hands on your hip.
- 27:20SPEAKER_08: It's a dreamy, all fantasy freely.
- 27:26SPEAKER_08: So you can't see me.
- 27:29SPEAKER_08: No, not at all.
- 27:31SPEAKER_08: In another dimension, with voyeuristic intention.
- 27:37SPEAKER_08: Well secluded.
- 27:40SPEAKER_06: I see all with a bit of a mind flip.
- 27:45SPEAKER_08: You're into the time slip.
- 27:48SPEAKER_06: And nothing can ever be the same.
- 27:53SPEAKER_08: Let's get started sensation.
- 27:56SPEAKER_08: You're under sedation.
- 29:50SPEAKER_07: Just what is David Meads?
- 29:53SPEAKER_07: According to Webster's dictionary.
- 29:56SPEAKER_07: Well, you're not gonna find it there.
- 30:00SPEAKER_07: According to Google.
- 30:02SPEAKER_07: Huh?
- 30:03SPEAKER_07: No.
- 30:04SPEAKER_07: Wikipedia?
- 30:06SPEAKER_07: Not there either, huh?
- 30:09SPEAKER_07: According to my script, David Meads is David's own language.
- 30:14SPEAKER_07: A word of the week.
- 30:15SPEAKER_07: Something like.
- 30:21SPEAKER_09: Okay, I got my David Meads word of the week.
- 30:23SPEAKER_09: It's orgasm.
- 30:25SPEAKER_09: Orgasm.
- 30:26SPEAKER_07: Oh no, okay.
- 30:27SPEAKER_09: That's sex with a prostitute.
- 30:31SPEAKER_07: See?
- 30:32SPEAKER_07: I told you.
- 30:33SPEAKER_07: Use that word in a sentence this week.
- 30:35SPEAKER_07: I dare ya.
- 30:36SPEAKER_07: This has been David Needs.
- 30:39SPEAKER_09: Uh we should have gotten commercial after that.
- 30:42SPEAKER_09: You're my face red.
- 30:46SPEAKER_04: I I appreciate that you're pulling out some more of the risque stuff before we have to go back on air.
- 30:50SPEAKER_09: Yeah, I figured I'd I mean, I've always Don't you cut your eyes at me, young lady.
- 31:00SPEAKER_04: She's just observant.
- 31:01SPEAKER_09: Yeah, she is.
- 31:02SPEAKER_04: But she's also exactly protesting.
- 31:05SPEAKER_09: She's also judging me.
- 31:07SPEAKER_09: I've seen this look.
- 31:08SPEAKER_09: I've been married.
- 31:09SPEAKER_09: She's got it down a path.
- 31:11SPEAKER_04: I've seen this look before.
- 31:12SPEAKER_04: She's either judging me or she has a piece of lint in her eye.
- 31:17SPEAKER_04: One or the other.
- 31:18SPEAKER_09: It's doubtful that it's that, but it could be that she's all right.
- 31:22SPEAKER_09: Well, listen, let's take a little bit of a break.
- 31:23SPEAKER_04: Oh, real quick, I just wanted to say I have a cute story about time warp, and it's why like uh Rock and Horror Picture Show has always been in my heart.
- 31:29SPEAKER_04: When I was like 13 years old, I went with my friend Julia to Seattle for Soccer Con, which is one of the country's biggest anime conventions.
- 31:37SPEAKER_04: If you didn't think I was a big enough nerd already, there was like an entire room dedicated to people singing karaoke.
- 31:43SPEAKER_04: And when somebody put this song on, the entire audience jumped up onto the stage.
- 31:48SPEAKER_04: It was shaking.
- 31:49SPEAKER_04: There wasn't a single person left in the seats, but we all got up on the stage, did the time warp and sang it together.
- 31:55SPEAKER_09: It's so much fun to do the time warp.
- 31:57SPEAKER_09: I'm just gonna say it's time less.
- 31:59SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 31:59SPEAKER_04: Time less.
- 32:00SPEAKER_09: Oh, the time warp is time less.
- 32:04SPEAKER_09: Anyway, I love that show.
- 32:06SPEAKER_09: Let's go to commercial, come back, play some more music.
- 32:08SPEAKER_09: You bet.
- 32:09SPEAKER_09: Can I just say something?
- 32:11SPEAKER_09: What?
- 32:11SPEAKER_09: When I used to- No, you can't.
- 32:12SPEAKER_04: I'm gonna stop you right there.
- 32:14SPEAKER_04: Revoked.
- 32:14SPEAKER_04: Okay, yeah, go ahead, say something.
- 32:16SPEAKER_09: Every time I flattuated, I sang Britney Spears.
- 32:19SPEAKER_09: Oops! I wanted the whole room, especially if it was silent.
- 32:25SPEAKER_09: I wanted the whole room to know before it hit them.
- 32:27SPEAKER_04: Were you wearing like a big white skirt?
- 32:28SPEAKER_04: Did you have a Marilyn Monroe moment where you had to hold it down?
- 32:31SPEAKER_09: I can't tell you.
- 32:33SPEAKER_04: That's too personal.
- 32:34SPEAKER_09: Yeah, we're getting way too long.
- 32:36SPEAKER_09: Alright, coming up, we're gonna do, we're gonna answer an email.
- 32:39SPEAKER_09: I think this is pretty legit because it's uh about uh Marie sitting and she wanted to know about her her kids' summer vacation.
- 32:45SPEAKER_04: Ooh, my favorite.
- 32:46SPEAKER_09: So, and this is gonna air in June towards the end of June.
- 32:49SPEAKER_09: So it's about time summer vacation started.
- 32:53SPEAKER_09: Okay, so uh what do you think, Ren?
- 32:54SPEAKER_09: You got anything you'd like to say?
- 32:56SPEAKER_09: Excuse me, Scotty.
- 32:59SPEAKER_04: He's like turned his laser beam game aside.
- 33:03SPEAKER_09: I didn't want to just totally leave you out.
- 33:04SPEAKER_09: I'd asked Karen, but she didn't have a microphone.
- 33:06SPEAKER_09: Well she can use mom.
- 33:08SPEAKER_09: She's kind of she's kind of soft-spoken, your mom.
- 33:10SPEAKER_03: I kind of like that she's like our backup crew member.
- 33:13SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 33:13SPEAKER_04: I yeah, I do that.
- 33:14SPEAKER_04: I'd like to do that.
- 33:15SPEAKER_04: I don't have a headset today.
- 33:17SPEAKER_04: I feel so left out.
- 33:18SPEAKER_04: I'm really sorry.
- 33:18SPEAKER_04: I need to get another headset.
- 33:19SPEAKER_09: Damn it, Wren.
- 33:21SPEAKER_09: Not Janet.
- 33:22SPEAKER_09: Damn it, Janet.
- 33:24SPEAKER_04: There's gotta be damn it.
- 33:27SPEAKER_04: Mama Grant.
- 33:29SPEAKER_04: I gotta I gotta think of a phrase.
- 33:31SPEAKER_04: There's gotta be one in there.
- 33:32SPEAKER_09: Well, they pulled all the attention off of you, Scotty.
- 33:35SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 33:35SPEAKER_04: Thank you.
- 33:37SPEAKER_04: My question was gonna be, just real quick for everybody, if you had to, if tonight you had to put on, or not tonight, but really soon you had to put on a production of Rocky Horror Picture Show and you had to pick a character to play, who would y'all play?
- 33:49SPEAKER_09: Oh, good question.
- 33:50SPEAKER_04: My ideal would be the butler guy with a big hump on his back.
- 33:54SPEAKER_09: Really?
- 33:55SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 33:55SPEAKER_04: Or I would be Eddie.
- 33:56SPEAKER_09: I was gonna say, I would probably want to be Eddie.
- 33:59SPEAKER_04: Yeah, he'd be a you'd be a good Eddie.
- 34:01SPEAKER_09: Yeah, I don't think I could pull Brad off.
- 34:02SPEAKER_09: I'm not I don't know, maybe I could.
- 34:05SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 34:05SPEAKER_09: I'm an asshole.
- 34:08SPEAKER_09: Sure, that's an asshole.
- 34:11SPEAKER_09: But um, no, I yeah, I could I think Eddie.
- 34:14unknown: Eddie.
- 34:14SPEAKER_09: I don't know, or the doctor.
- 34:15SPEAKER_09: I like the guy in the wheelchair too.
- 34:17SPEAKER_03: Oh, that's fine, yeah.
- 34:18SPEAKER_03: The guy showing everybody.
- 34:20SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 34:21SPEAKER_03: My mom has her dog, Coco, who's very cute, but she's a horrible breath, and she's breathing into my face, breathing right onto my face.
- 34:28SPEAKER_04: I was like, I don't think that's me.
- 34:30SPEAKER_04: I know she's okay.
- 34:31SPEAKER_09: Well, you lucked out, Scotty.
- 34:32SPEAKER_09: We're gonna go to song.
- 34:35SPEAKER_09: So you'd be thinking about something funny to say, okay, after this song.
- 34:40SPEAKER_04: Who would you dress up as, Scotty?
- 34:42SPEAKER_04: That's magenta.
- 34:43SPEAKER_04: Magenta.
- 34:43SPEAKER_09: Magenta?
- 34:44SPEAKER_09: I can still see you as magenta.
- 34:45SPEAKER_04: And then then we'd be like, she's one of my favorites.
- 34:47SPEAKER_09: I didn't like much little nail much.
- 34:49SPEAKER_09: She was okay.
- 34:50SPEAKER_09: So magenta?
- 34:51SPEAKER_04: Yeah, magenta was way funny.
- 34:52SPEAKER_04: She's got the small wear.
- 34:55SPEAKER_09: Ooh.
- 34:56SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 34:57SPEAKER_04: Ooh.
- 34:57SPEAKER_09: We played Time War.
- 34:59SPEAKER_09: I want to tell a song.
- 35:01SPEAKER_09: What happened?
- 35:02SPEAKER_09: Oh.
- 35:03SPEAKER_09: We want to I want to talk about it.
- 35:05SPEAKER_09: I want to tell a story about this song, Tim Curry, that's next on his sweet transvestite.
- 35:12SPEAKER_09: Alright, well, I had a uh oldies rock and roll show.
- 35:16SPEAKER_09: AM rock and roll show that was number one in the market here.
- 35:20SPEAKER_09: AM.
- 35:21SPEAKER_09: It was AM radio.
- 35:22SPEAKER_09: I took it to number one.
- 35:24SPEAKER_09: Yeah, major deal for this area.
- 35:26SPEAKER_04: Not the most markable.
- 35:27SPEAKER_09: No.
- 35:28SPEAKER_09: And so one morning I was playing tribute to Rocky Horror and I played sweet transvestite.
- 35:35SPEAKER_09: Phone rings.
- 35:36SPEAKER_09: And a guy is chewing my ass.
- 35:39SPEAKER_09: I'm in the car, my son's now asking me what a transvestite is.
- 35:43SPEAKER_09: I mean, he went on and on and on.
- 35:44SPEAKER_09: And I took it and I said, Sir, I'm sorry.
- 35:47SPEAKER_09: You're welcome to change the radio station.
- 35:50SPEAKER_09: Um but let me just say this.
- 35:53SPEAKER_09: You know, now he goes, he's asking me what that is.
- 35:55SPEAKER_09: And I'm like, let me just say this.
- 35:57SPEAKER_09: If he learned that somewhere else, wouldn't you rather have him ask you what a transvestite is than some stranger?
- 36:04SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 36:05SPEAKER_09: And there's this long pause on the phone, he goes, Well, damn it, you're right.
- 36:12SPEAKER_09: Oh yes.
- 36:13SPEAKER_09: He says, I take back everything, and I'm like, well, that's good.
- 36:17SPEAKER_09: I'm sorry if I offended anybody, you know, but he goes, No, we listen to you every morning.
- 36:21SPEAKER_09: I I just that just pissed me off.
- 36:23SPEAKER_09: He goes, but I'm now I'm over it now.
- 36:25SPEAKER_04: Cool.
- 36:26SPEAKER_04: It's a parenting moment for him.
- 36:28SPEAKER_04: Like, if you hadn't brought it up, it would have been brought up eventually.
- 36:31SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 36:31SPEAKER_04: Sometime.
- 36:32SPEAKER_04: At some point in his life, and he'd be like, Dad, what's this?
- 36:36SPEAKER_09: Well, if he went to that, it'd be great, but he might not.
- 36:38SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 36:40SPEAKER_04: It's good that he trusted.
- 36:41SPEAKER_09: Yeah, exactly.
- 36:42SPEAKER_09: Alright, so I love this song.
- 36:44SPEAKER_09: Tim Curry does it.
- 36:45SPEAKER_09: It's written by our buddy O'Brien and uh that other guy, I can't remember now, but I'll make sure he gets he gets credit.
- 36:52SPEAKER_09: It's uh sweet transvestite.
- 36:54SPEAKER_04: The song that made America question its sexuality.
- 36:58SPEAKER_09: Let me go get my fishnet.
- 37:01SPEAKER_11: I got a pursuit.
- 37:04SPEAKER_11: See you've met my faithful handy man.
- 37:10SPEAKER_11: He's just a little broad guy because when you knocked, he thought you were a candy man.
- 37:20SPEAKER_11: Don't get strung up by the way I look.
- 37:24SPEAKER_11: Don't judge a book by its cover I'm not much of a man by the lot of days, but by not a one of a love.
- 37:36SPEAKER_11: I'm just a sweet transvestite.
- 37:41SPEAKER_11: From transsexual, transovation.
- 37:50SPEAKER_11: Let me show you a ride in libid, play you with sign.
- 37:55SPEAKER_11: You look black, you both could groove in.
- 37:59SPEAKER_11: All of you want something visual, it's not two of us wrong.
- 38:04SPEAKER_11: We could take in an old Steve Reeves move in.
- 38:08SPEAKER_14: I'm glad we caught you at home.
- 38:11SPEAKER_14: Could we use your phone?
- 38:14SPEAKER_14: We're both in a bit of a hurry.
- 38:16SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 38:17SPEAKER_14: We'll just stay where we are, then go back to the car.
- 38:22SPEAKER_14: We don't want to be any worry.
- 38:26SPEAKER_14: Well, you got caught with a flat world.
- 38:29SPEAKER_11: How about that?
- 38:31SPEAKER_11: Well, babies, don't you panic?
- 38:35SPEAKER_11: By the light of the night, it'll all seem alright.
- 38:40SPEAKER_11: I'll get you a satanic mechanic.
- 38:44SPEAKER_11: I'm just a sweet trans vestiger.
- 38:49SPEAKER_11: From transsexual, transophania.
- 38:57SPEAKER_11: Why don't you stay for the night?
- 39:01SPEAKER_11: Or maybe a bite?
- 39:03SPEAKER_11: I could show you my favorite obsession.
- 39:07SPEAKER_11: I've been making a man with blonde hair and a tan.
- 39:12SPEAKER_11: And he's good for relieving my tension.
- 39:16SPEAKER_11: I'm just a sweet transvestor.
- 39:21SPEAKER_11: From transsexual, transylvania.
- 39:29SPEAKER_11: Hey, hey, I'm just a sweet transvestider.
- 39:38SPEAKER_11: Transylvania.
- 39:45SPEAKER_11: So come up to the lab and see what's on the slab.
- 39:52SPEAKER_11: I see you with discipline.
- 40:12SPEAKER_11: But not.
- 40:19SPEAKER_09: We're done.
- 40:20SPEAKER_09: Are we are we done?
- 40:21SPEAKER_09: That's it.
- 40:21SPEAKER_09: Oh that's it.
- 40:28SPEAKER_09: They couldn't have picked somebody better to do that song.
- 40:30SPEAKER_04: God, right.
- 40:31SPEAKER_04: His vocals are like on par with some of the best rock singers I've heard from the 60s and 70s.
- 40:38SPEAKER_04: Like, I'd rather listen to him sing than Mick Jagger.
- 40:41SPEAKER_04: Amen.
- 40:42SPEAKER_09: Oh, oh, that hurt me.
- 40:43SPEAKER_09: I'm sorry.
- 40:44SPEAKER_09: That hurt deep.
- 40:45SPEAKER_04: I have a lot of respect for the Rolling Stones.
- 40:47SPEAKER_09: If you cut deep.
- 40:48SPEAKER_04: But if it comes down to it, they're getting cut.
- 40:51SPEAKER_04: They're getting cut, the Rolling Stones.
- 40:53SPEAKER_09: Oh, everybody just turns off the rip the puzzle.
- 40:56SPEAKER_04: Look, I like Beast of Burden, okay?
- 41:00SPEAKER_09: I like Bitch.
- 41:02SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah, that one's a good one.
- 41:03SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 41:03SPEAKER_09: That's pretty good.
- 41:04SPEAKER_04: Sympathy for the devil, I like that too much.
- 41:06SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 41:07SPEAKER_09: Um, all right, so uh we uh we we talked, we gotta we're gonna answer an email, but that's our first song coming out, right?
- 41:13SPEAKER_09: Or is it the second song coming out?
- 41:15SPEAKER_04: I think second.
- 41:16SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 41:16SPEAKER_09: Well, let's go ahead and do another Tim Curry because it's the next we're I'm playing these in order as Picked Him as Order.
- 41:22SPEAKER_09: And this one, I like this one too.
- 41:24SPEAKER_09: This is where he uh uh talks about this is where he makes Rocky.
- 41:29SPEAKER_04: He makes Rocky.
- 41:30SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 41:31SPEAKER_09: It's like in Make You a Man.
- 41:32SPEAKER_04: That's what freaked me out too as a kid.
- 41:33SPEAKER_04: There's a lot of horror elements to it.
- 41:35SPEAKER_04: Rocky horror.
- 41:36SPEAKER_04: He just builds this guy and he's like, now you're my love slave.
- 41:42SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but as an adult, it's like it's so heightened.
- 41:48SPEAKER_09: It rounded my life.
- 41:50SPEAKER_04: There we go.
- 42:53SPEAKER_11: Oh, honey! He'll eat nutritious, high protein, and swallow raw eggs.
- 43:06SPEAKER_11: Try to build up his shoulders, his chest, arms, and legs.
- 43:11SPEAKER_11: Such an effort.
- 43:13SPEAKER_11: If we only knew of my plan in just seven days, I can make you a name.
- 43:27SPEAKER_11: He'll do press-ups and chin-ups, do the smirch, clean and jerk.
- 43:33SPEAKER_11: He thinks dynamic tension must be hard work.
- 43:39SPEAKER_11: Such stray you are slaving.
- 43:41SPEAKER_11: I just don't understand when it's just seven days.
- 43:47SPEAKER_11: Oh, baby, I can make you a man.
- 43:56SPEAKER_09: I'll make you a man.
- 43:58SPEAKER_09: Hey, I want to tell it real quick, you know, thanks to artificial intelligence software, McDonald's drive-thru customers can now speak their order to a computer.
- 44:07SPEAKER_13: Whoa.
- 44:08SPEAKER_09: Yeah, McDonald's says it'll revolutionize the way they get your order wrong.
- 44:17SPEAKER_13: Sorry.
- 44:18SPEAKER_09: I was really excited to use.
- 44:20SPEAKER_09: Calm down, folks.
- 44:20SPEAKER_09: I'll be here all week.
- 44:24SPEAKER_04: Folks, calm down.
- 44:25SPEAKER_04: Okay, anyways.
- 44:27SPEAKER_09: All right, so let's uh what are we gonna do?
- 44:29SPEAKER_09: Oh, we're gonna answer an email.
- 44:30SPEAKER_04: We're gonna answer an email.
- 44:32SPEAKER_09: Yeah, you're gonna have to switch the thing again.
- 44:35SPEAKER_09: Switch your thingy again.
- 44:36SPEAKER_04: How good I am at it.
- 44:37SPEAKER_07: Yeah, you're pretty good.
- 44:38SPEAKER_07: Baboom.
- 44:39SPEAKER_07: Baboom.
- 44:40SPEAKER_07: Questions?
- 44:41SPEAKER_07: You got an email.
- 44:42SPEAKER_07: We've got answers.
- 44:44SPEAKER_07: An email.
- 44:45SPEAKER_07: You may not like the answers, but we got them.
- 44:48SPEAKER_07: We just got an email.
- 44:52SPEAKER_07: I wonder who it's from.
- 44:54SPEAKER_07: Ask Ren and David.
- 44:56SPEAKER_09: Help! Marie wrote in.
- 44:58SPEAKER_09: She said, Help.
- 44:59SPEAKER_04: I need somebody.
- 45:01SPEAKER_09: Oh, we should get that, download that.
- 45:03SPEAKER_09: Yeah, that would be another good alternative.
- 45:05SPEAKER_04: Help! Ren and David are on their way.
- 45:07SPEAKER_09: Uh oh, I need we need some horses galloping in the background.
- 45:13SPEAKER_09: Yes.
- 45:14SPEAKER_09: I have no plans for my kids' summer vacation recess.
- 45:19SPEAKER_04: Ooh, okay.
- 45:19SPEAKER_04: Now I feel very passionate when you've got some.
- 45:21SPEAKER_09: I already got an idea.
- 45:23SPEAKER_04: I have no plans for our kids this summer break yet.
- 45:26SPEAKER_04: I'm not sure we can afford it, but I would like to do extra fun stuff this summer.
- 45:29SPEAKER_04: I hate for my kids to just stay home and play video games all day, every day.
- 45:33SPEAKER_04: Any non-travel budget-friendly suggestions?
- 45:36SPEAKER_09: Oh boy, do I.
- 45:37SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah.
- 45:38SPEAKER_09: We're sitting right at one.
- 45:40SPEAKER_04: Oh yeah.
- 45:41SPEAKER_04: This is a really cool thing that I'm really excited we have in Farmington now.
- 45:44SPEAKER_09: Uh this River Guides.
- 45:46SPEAKER_04: Yeah, Desert River Guides.
- 45:47SPEAKER_09: They're opening this.
- 45:48SPEAKER_09: We're gonna be actually doing our radio show here.
- 45:51SPEAKER_09: Mm-hmm.
- 45:52SPEAKER_04: They made us a little spot.
- 45:54SPEAKER_09: Beginning in July the 4th, on the 4th of July.
- 45:57SPEAKER_09: I think I should stand up and salute or something, put my hand on my heart.
- 46:01SPEAKER_09: Are you gonna wear red, white, and blue that day?
- 46:07SPEAKER_04: Because of my hair.
- 46:08SPEAKER_04: Okay, yes, that is what what I'm doing now because that's hilarious.
- 46:11SPEAKER_04: What I'm gonna do is I'm gonna make you all listen to me shotgun a beer while singing the uh American anthem.
- 46:18SPEAKER_04: Ha! That's my delight forest tradition.
- 46:21SPEAKER_09: We got totally off of Mickey's problem.
- 46:24SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah.
- 46:24SPEAKER_04: Oh my gosh.
- 46:25SPEAKER_09: Sorry, Mickey.
- 46:26SPEAKER_04: I'm so sorry, Mickey.
- 46:34SPEAKER_04: I know this sounds weird, but um there's a lot of like Yoga with Adrian is a channel that Scotty and I follow a lot where you do yoga, um, and you'd be surprised at how fun and good it is.
- 46:45SPEAKER_09: Yoga's good for you too.
- 46:46SPEAKER_09: Good for the soul, good for the mind.
- 46:47SPEAKER_04: It's like meditation almost.
- 46:49SPEAKER_04: And she's got all these different, like month-long uh routines that you can do every day, you can look forward to it.
- 46:56SPEAKER_04: And there's all sorts of other things like that on YouTube, especially with how quarantine played out.
- 47:01SPEAKER_04: There's a lot of educators, there's a lot of um, you know, just cool YouTube people who are trying to make content that get kids involved just at home.
- 47:10SPEAKER_09: Perfect.
- 47:10SPEAKER_04: That's one of my that's one of my suggestions too.
- 47:12SPEAKER_09: I like that too.
- 47:13SPEAKER_09: Um, you know, and I I I I'm a firm believer in going to the park.
- 47:17SPEAKER_03: I mean the park too, yeah.
- 47:19SPEAKER_09: Especially around here.
- 47:20SPEAKER_09: Our parks around here are very nice, they're very safe.
- 47:23SPEAKER_09: Uh they've redone a couple of them, so I yeah to the park.
- 47:27SPEAKER_04: Yep, and uh one more thing, I feel like people have a lot of pressure to enjoy summer like to its fullest.
- 47:33SPEAKER_04: Like you see the book in a teen movie, everybody's at the beach, and no.
- 47:38SPEAKER_04: At the end of the day, the only thing you need to do to enjoy the summer is just enjoy the warmth and enjoy the time off.
- 47:43SPEAKER_04: And however you do that is valid.
- 47:46SPEAKER_09: I agree.
- 47:48SPEAKER_09: Let me tell you something about a microphone and no video.
- 47:52SPEAKER_09: They can't hear your head nod.
- 47:55SPEAKER_05: I know, I'm just interrupting you all, and I'm like, yeah, these are good suggestions.
- 47:59SPEAKER_05: Uh you can go rock hunting.
- 48:01SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 48:03SPEAKER_05: That's a good are you.
- 48:04SPEAKER_05: That's actually not a bad idea.
- 48:05SPEAKER_05: I love rock hunting, but also because I'm studying to be a geologist.
- 48:08SPEAKER_04: So we have some pretty interesting mineral deposits in in this area, right?
- 48:12SPEAKER_04: Like you get some minerals really interesting, especially out in Chocherry.
- 48:15SPEAKER_05: It's really cool.
- 48:16SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 48:16SPEAKER_05: Um it's just her own wedding, going to the lake.
- 48:19SPEAKER_05: Those always are really fun.
- 48:20SPEAKER_04: Yeah, the lake rocks, especially.
- 48:21SPEAKER_09: You can you can bring spotty anytime.
- 48:23SPEAKER_04: I just might force her to come along if she will, if she will allow me to.
- 48:28SPEAKER_04: I'm not working.
- 48:29SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 48:29SPEAKER_04: And if it's on Sundays, it might be nice.
- 48:31SPEAKER_09: Oh, yeah, because you're uh you're one of the manager people, aren't you?
- 48:34SPEAKER_09: I am, yeah.
- 48:35SPEAKER_09: You're a dead gum manager.
- 48:36SPEAKER_04: Shout out to Durango Drew.
- 48:37SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 48:38SPEAKER_04: I love you guys.
- 48:39SPEAKER_04: You know my time.
- 48:40SPEAKER_09: I uh I was a manager too, so I I feel your pain.
- 48:44SPEAKER_04: You had your own cafe too for a while.
- 48:46SPEAKER_09: I did, yeah.
- 48:47SPEAKER_09: Bakery.
- 48:47SPEAKER_09: Bakery, you did.
- 48:48SPEAKER_09: Oh my god.
- 48:49SPEAKER_04: We all know that struggle here.
- 48:51SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 48:51SPEAKER_09: Play this close.
- 48:53SPEAKER_07: Uh-oh.
- 48:54SPEAKER_09: I'm bored.
- 48:55SPEAKER_07: You have been listening to Ask Ren and David articulated, well-thought-out answers to your well-articulated, thought-out questions.
- 49:04SPEAKER_00: Wake it up, wake it up, wake it up, wake it up.
- 49:06SPEAKER_07: If you would like your questions answered, email the generalswakeupcall at gmail.com.
- 49:14SPEAKER_09: That's all right.
- 49:15SPEAKER_09: Hey, I I I I I said unjustly at the beginning of this that meatloaf did not have any lines or something.
- 49:24SPEAKER_04: Any lines.
- 49:25SPEAKER_09: You know, there used to, I used to, there you I used to have a joke with that with the word meatloaf, too.
- 49:32SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I don't understand why that's the rock star name you picked, but never let your meat loaf.
- 49:37SPEAKER_04: Never let your meat loaf! You gotta be earning those bills, meat.
- 49:43SPEAKER_13: You can't be loafing around.
- 49:46unknown: That's fine.
- 49:48SPEAKER_04: Well, I guess he does carry his weight though, because yeah, this is a great this is a great song, too.
- 49:52SPEAKER_09: I forgot all about it.
- 49:53SPEAKER_09: I think he plays horn in this.
- 50:04SPEAKER_10: When you get the job and you felt all right, don't seem the saints coming back.
- 50:10SPEAKER_10: Green into my life.
- 50:11SPEAKER_10: I thought I was divine.
- 50:13SPEAKER_10: I used to go around and scuba, and listen to the music on the radio.
- 50:19SPEAKER_10: My saxophone was blowing on a rock and roll show.
- 50:22SPEAKER_10: Climb in the back seat, beating the time.
- 50:27SPEAKER_10: I was my soul.
- 50:33SPEAKER_13: I would leave that's my soul.
- 50:35SPEAKER_13: I'm gonna do that, I'll be a roll.
- 50:39SPEAKER_13: I would leave that's my soul.
- 50:41SPEAKER_13: I'm gonna do that, I'll take the roll.
- 50:44SPEAKER_13: I would bless my soul.
- 50:47SPEAKER_10: I'm gonna do that, I'm gonna go My hand used to swim from the perfume of smell.
- 51:08SPEAKER_10: My hands kind of bumble with the protest pill.
- 51:10SPEAKER_10: I taste the baby that's when it's milk.
- 51:17SPEAKER_10: Get that control with some hair on the mother how I was singing so on the baby time, single along, the penicillo, peril, I want to be blessed for soul, picking up the roll.
- 51:36SPEAKER_13: I bet you that's the soul, I wish it was so I didn't go to this soul, I wish I'd be like, I really love that rock and roll.
- 52:54SPEAKER_04: See, that's why you'd make a good Eddie.
- 52:56SPEAKER_04: You got that, you got that old school rock and roll.
- 52:58SPEAKER_09: I I do.
- 52:59SPEAKER_09: I I I just can't sing for flip, but lip syncing.
- 53:04SPEAKER_09: Oh, too, I can do that.
- 53:06SPEAKER_09: Lip syncing.
- 53:07SPEAKER_04: You know, I think that's also a valid way to do maybe the Rocky Horror Picture Show, too.
- 53:10SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 53:11SPEAKER_04: I think a lot of productions just lip sync.
- 53:13SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 53:14SPEAKER_09: I agree.
- 53:14SPEAKER_04: Lip sync for their lives.
- 53:17SPEAKER_09: Well, listen, uh, you know, I I I am really I just want to say again how much I appreciate uh Cody and uh Ryan letting us uh invade this space and we're gonna be here all summer long on uh every Sunday, and people, you know, you're gonna hear this before we actually start uh recording, uh actually being live, but you're invite you're welcome to come down and add your two and three cents.
- 53:40SPEAKER_09: So Scotty, you can come back.
- 53:44SPEAKER_04: I I like to be in.
- 53:47SPEAKER_04: I think it's always fun to have a third person who kind of changes out.
- 53:50SPEAKER_04: I don't know.
- 53:51SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 53:51SPEAKER_09: Well, I do have uh line on a couple of guests.
- 53:53SPEAKER_09: I mean uh Mayor Ducan is supposed to be back in.
- 53:56SPEAKER_04: Very cool because I missed him last time.
- 53:58SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 53:58SPEAKER_09: Uh well we want to find out.
- 53:59SPEAKER_09: You know, we had him at the first of the year, gonna find out how midway through the plans are going for the year and then what the remainder of the year.
- 54:08SPEAKER_09: Um we're gonna have Keegan back on, my grandson.
- 54:12SPEAKER_09: Keegan?
- 54:12SPEAKER_09: They're coming through town.

- 54:16SPEAKER_09: We'll we'll have uh we'll have Keegan on.
- 54:18SPEAKER_09: We'll find out where he's doing.

- 54:22SPEAKER_09: They're gonna be in town.
- 54:22SPEAKER_09: Oh, very quick.
- 54:23SPEAKER_09: Yeah, so you can sit right here where Rebecca's sitting.
- 54:25SPEAKER_09: Actually, we're gonna change things around because I'm gonna put the speaker on this.
- 54:29SPEAKER_09: This is technical stuff.
- 54:30SPEAKER_09: We don't I don't need to talk about.
- 54:32SPEAKER_02: Shut up, Ren.
- 54:33SPEAKER_09: No, I refuse.
- 54:35SPEAKER_04: This is the board up.
- 54:37SPEAKER_04: This stuff's exciting for me.
- 54:38SPEAKER_04: Okay, you go ahead, David.
- 54:40SPEAKER_09: No, that was it.
- 54:40SPEAKER_09: I just we have all kinds of exciting stuff coming up for the show.
- 54:44SPEAKER_02: You bet.
- 54:44SPEAKER_02: Period.
- 54:45SPEAKER_02: I'm just gonna go.
- 54:45SPEAKER_09: We're gonna get Eric Campbell back to do live performance.
- 54:47SPEAKER_02: He rocks.
- 54:48SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 54:49SPEAKER_09: Oh my god, yeah.
- 54:50SPEAKER_09: Um I'm I'm I want to have what is that guy's name?

- 54:58SPEAKER_09: All right, so coming up, we're gonna do Rin Rans.
- 54:59SPEAKER_09: What movie?
- 55:00SPEAKER_09: Can we give him a teaser on the movie or have you decided yet?
- 55:03SPEAKER_09: It's uh you don't you don't have to if you don't want to.
- 55:06SPEAKER_09: Well why do you keep looking at her?
- 55:07SPEAKER_04: We were talking about Tim Curry while some of the songs play.
- 55:10SPEAKER_04: We talked about clowns, so my one Oh my one, that's my hint for you, clown.
- 55:15SPEAKER_09: Okay, clown.
- 55:16SPEAKER_04: We're clowning around today.
- 55:21SPEAKER_09: Don't throw your stuff at me.
- 55:22SPEAKER_04: Yeah, my headphones just blew off my head.
- 55:24SPEAKER_04: That was a lot.
- 55:25SPEAKER_09: Alright, so uh the next one we're gonna do is uh that was that was me loaf.

- 55:36SPEAKER_04: Um Susan Sarandon.
- 55:39SPEAKER_09: Sarandon.
- 55:40SPEAKER_04: Sarandon.
- 55:41SPEAKER_09: I want you to say the title.
- 56:02SPEAKER_12: I thought there's no use of getting too heavy to head.
- 56:10SPEAKER_12: It only leads to trouble.
- 56:17SPEAKER_12: Now all I want to know is how to go.
- 56:23SPEAKER_12: I've tasted blood and I want more.
- 56:29SPEAKER_12: I'll put up no resistance.
- 56:32SPEAKER_12: I want to stay the distance.
- 56:35SPEAKER_12: I've got an itch to scratch.
- 56:38SPEAKER_12: I need a system.
- 56:40SPEAKER_12: Touch it, touch it, touch it, touch me.
- 56:43SPEAKER_12: I wanna be dirty.
- 56:46SPEAKER_12: Will we chill me, fulfill me?
- 56:49SPEAKER_12: Which I won't believe.
- 56:56SPEAKER_12: Then if anything grows, why you close?
- 57:02SPEAKER_12: I'll oil you up and rub you down.
- 57:08SPEAKER_12: And that's just one small fraction of the main attraction.
- 57:14SPEAKER_12: You need a friendly hat.
- 57:17SPEAKER_12: Oh, I need a action.
- 57:19SPEAKER_12: Touch it, touch it, touch it, touch me.
- 57:22SPEAKER_13: I wanna be dirty.
- 57:27SPEAKER_13: Be to touch me.
- 57:33SPEAKER_08: I wanna be dirty.
- 57:55SPEAKER_13: Creature of the night.
- 57:57SPEAKER_14: Creature of the night.
- 58:00SPEAKER_08: Creature of the night.
- 58:03SPEAKER_06: Creature of the night.
- 58:08SPEAKER_16: Creature of the night.
- 58:15SPEAKER_04: Was there anything cuter than the Susan Sarantin?
- 58:18SPEAKER_04: Surrender in our world.
- 58:19SPEAKER_04: Sarandon.
- 58:20SPEAKER_04: Sarandon?
- 58:22SPEAKER_09: No.
- 58:22SPEAKER_04: It's an oddly like really sweet song too.
- 58:25SPEAKER_04: Because you know, Janet's character is very uptight and inexperienced.
- 58:29SPEAKER_04: And she's having a little bit of an awakening, and it's it's uh it sounds empowering to me.
- 58:33SPEAKER_09: Yes, it was it was good for her to be awakened.
- 58:36SPEAKER_04: Awakened, and I'm sure there's a lot of people who are awakened when they saw Susan Sarandon.
- 58:41SPEAKER_04: Can you tell that I love Susan Sarandon?
- 58:44SPEAKER_09: I I wasn't gonna go there, but yeah, but I'll I'll leave it alone.
- 58:49SPEAKER_09: I'm just glad that Scotty actually exists.
- 58:52SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 58:52SPEAKER_09: Because I've been thinking.
- 58:55SPEAKER_09: Yeah, well, I've yeah.
- 58:56SPEAKER_09: Yeah, If I'm just showing my flesh, she's got some great um my operation forms for later.
- 59:02SPEAKER_09: She turns into a boss.
- 59:05SPEAKER_09: She's got some great tats too, and you know, we've we've talked about tats, and I and you know, I'm thinking about getting another one, but you know, when you get to be my age, the skin gets kind of you know, this one was really cute when I first got it.
- 59:18SPEAKER_09: He was an adolescent dragon with my belly and can't get a flame going.
- 59:23SPEAKER_09: So it's a little puff of smoke.
- 59:25SPEAKER_09: But uh yeah.
- 59:26SPEAKER_04: You can always get it touched up.
- 59:27SPEAKER_09: I wanted to give his mother on this arm big and have a tail come down around him like that, right?
- 59:33SPEAKER_09: Oh and have an eye patch on because the wizard I have on this side has got a seed.
- 59:41SPEAKER_09: Now there's a theme to tattoo, right?
- 59:43SPEAKER_13: Let's do that.
- 59:46SPEAKER_13: I don't need to.
- 59:47SPEAKER_09: I know, I've seen some of Rin's like this little character over here.
- 59:50SPEAKER_09: I at first it kind of like, God, Rin, that's it.
- 59:53SPEAKER_04: I know, people think it's demonic.
- 59:55SPEAKER_04: It's it's a hanya, if you want to look it up.
- 59:57SPEAKER_04: It's a Japanese, it's a type of Japanese demon.
- 1:00:00SPEAKER_04: Um, they're not devils, they're just like um vengeful spirits.
- 1:00:05SPEAKER_04: They're they're women.
- 1:00:06SPEAKER_09: You know what I'm gonna do?
- 1:00:07SPEAKER_04: They're women who have been wronged or hurt or fueled by jealousy, and they just turn into these snakes.
- 1:00:12SPEAKER_09: And I love that.
- 1:00:13SPEAKER_09: I I I mean it because to me that's kind of fits your personality.
- 1:00:18SPEAKER_04: Exactly.
- 1:00:19SPEAKER_04: That's what I explained it to everybody.
- 1:00:20SPEAKER_04: I was like, as a woman with rage issues, I really appreciate it.
- 1:00:23SPEAKER_09: Well But I've never seen rage in you, though.
- 1:00:25SPEAKER_09: I'm sure your mom has, and she's here to testify, but uh oh, she's just shaking her head.
- 1:00:31SPEAKER_09: Nope, nope, nope, not me, not now.
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_09: I gotta write home with her.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_02: No matter what it is, she'll say something.
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_09: So that's that's why I wanted her for this show, too.
- 1:00:44SPEAKER_09: It's not rage.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_04: Thank you.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_04: I mean, I can get into a rage, but a lot of it is as a def defense, even?
- 1:00:51SPEAKER_04: So that's why I like her, and I also like these masks because you know they would make them into masks and use them in kabuki theaters.
- 1:00:57SPEAKER_09: Yeah, I've seen the masks.
- 1:00:57SPEAKER_04: And the sort of all artful representation they'd often do.
- 1:01:00SPEAKER_04: It's upfront, it's big and scary, bulging eyes, and like the big scary grin.
- 1:01:04SPEAKER_04: But if the performer turns their head down, the mask looks like it's crying.
- 1:01:08SPEAKER_04: All of this like shaping moves to it looking like they're sort of tragic figures.
- 1:01:15SPEAKER_04: Um, they're not demonic, they're not even like evil.
- 1:01:19SPEAKER_04: It's just a representation of like strong human avoidance.
- 1:01:22SPEAKER_09: You're giving me goosebumps, not gonna.
- 1:01:24SPEAKER_04: I'm so glad.
- 1:01:24SPEAKER_04: I definitely thought about this tattoo.
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_09: Yeah, you can tell you put some thought on it.
- 1:01:28SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah, just a little.
- 1:01:29SPEAKER_09: Um, alright, so we're gonna do Rin Rants here in a little bit, but I think we we need to I think we need to play Well, we might even be able to play two more songs, right?
- 1:01:37SPEAKER_04: Well, we want to leave some songs for for the second show.
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:01:41SPEAKER_09: I don't know.
- 1:01:42SPEAKER_04: Let's play, let's play Eddie, since Eddie's been a theme.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_04: And then uh That's by Jonathan Adams.
- 1:01:48SPEAKER_09: And then we'll say we'll do Rin Rance, we'll say to the rest, we'll have a little chat.
- 1:01:51SPEAKER_04: We'll even want to more.
- 1:01:53SPEAKER_04: Like a like a good performer does.
- 1:01:55SPEAKER_09: Where have you heard that?
- 1:01:57SPEAKER_04: Everywhere?
- 1:01:58SPEAKER_04: Where have you not heard that?
- 1:02:00SPEAKER_09: Before I forget though, speaking of performers, um, because I do we haven't talked about it yet.
- 1:02:05SPEAKER_09: Uh we have a great amphitheater here.
- 1:02:07SPEAKER_09: It's a fantastic amphitheater.
- 1:02:09SPEAKER_04: Lions Wilderness Amphitheater.
- 1:02:11SPEAKER_04: I think we call it Sandstone, but that's just like the theater company.
- 1:02:15SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:02:15SPEAKER_09: We're gonna we're gonna talk about off mic too, because I know that you're doing a production of Midsummer Night Stream.
- 1:02:22SPEAKER_04: Yep.
- 1:02:22SPEAKER_09: And you both are in it.
- 1:02:23SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 1:02:24SPEAKER_04: She's Hermia, I'm Helena.
- 1:02:25SPEAKER_09: Hermia.
- 1:02:27SPEAKER_04: Hermia.
- 1:02:28SPEAKER_09: And Helena.
- 1:02:28SPEAKER_04: And Helena.
- 1:02:29SPEAKER_09: And uh Derek is in it too.
- 1:02:31SPEAKER_09: You're both.
- 1:02:32SPEAKER_04: He is.
- 1:02:32SPEAKER_04: What is he playing?
- 1:02:34SPEAKER_04: He's uh uh Oberon, King of the Fairies.
- 1:02:38SPEAKER_16: And he's always he's like embraced this role.
- 1:02:43SPEAKER_04: Oh my god, this role.
- 1:02:44SPEAKER_04: He has such his ego, he's in like a good way, right?
- 1:02:47SPEAKER_04: He's playing this king, so he's definitely gonna play him like this egotistical, you know, not even evil guy, but like I'm the king.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_04: Ha ha, my minions.
- 1:02:56SPEAKER_09: So that's coming up.
- 1:02:57SPEAKER_09: Uh that's when's your first live show?
- 1:03:00SPEAKER_04: August 17th.
- 1:03:02SPEAKER_04: 17th, that's right.
- 1:03:03SPEAKER_04: And then it's gonna be the rest of that weekend, uh, the 17th, and then the following weekend.
- 1:03:08SPEAKER_09: So this is gonna be before that, so that's great.
- 1:03:10SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 1:03:11SPEAKER_09: So if you're in Farmington, if you're not in Farmington, you hear this, you need to come to Farmington.
- 1:03:15SPEAKER_09: Yes, yes.
- 1:03:16SPEAKER_09: Anywhere in the world, come see us.
- 1:03:18SPEAKER_09: You folks that are listening, we have listeners in what did I tell you?
- 1:03:20SPEAKER_09: Britain.
- 1:03:21SPEAKER_09: Great Britain.
- 1:03:21SPEAKER_04: Great Britain in England.
- 1:03:23SPEAKER_04: To all my UK listeners, thank you very much.
- 1:03:25SPEAKER_09: Bunch of them over there.
- 1:03:26SPEAKER_09: I love it.
- 1:03:27SPEAKER_09: So you guys load your little butts in and cross the ocean.
- 1:03:30SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it's easy.
- 1:03:31SPEAKER_04: Just do it.
- 1:03:32SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 1:03:33SPEAKER_09: Come see Red.
- 1:03:35SPEAKER_09: Come see Scotty.
- 1:03:36SPEAKER_09: Yeah, come and Derek.
- 1:03:38SPEAKER_09: Dork.
- 1:03:39SPEAKER_09: I want to call him Dork.
- 1:03:41SPEAKER_04: I call him Dork so far.
- 1:03:42SPEAKER_04: Dork, total.
- 1:03:43SPEAKER_09: I bet he loves that.
- 1:03:44SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 1:03:45SPEAKER_04: Darren.
- 1:03:45SPEAKER_04: Yeah, Darren's the one we give him a lot.
- 1:03:47SPEAKER_04: I'm just like gonna ask you, Scotty.
- 1:03:49SPEAKER_04: I was gonna ask you something.
- 1:03:49SPEAKER_04: Oh well, next time.
- 1:03:50SPEAKER_09: My first wife and I had pet names for each other, too.
- 1:03:53SPEAKER_09: Or she said we did.
- 1:03:54SPEAKER_09: And I said, We do?
- 1:03:56SPEAKER_09: She goes, yeah.
- 1:03:57SPEAKER_09: And I said, Well, okay, you call me asshole, I call you bitch, I guess.
- 1:04:03SPEAKER_09: I never remember calling a pet name.
- 1:04:06SPEAKER_09: She listens, so she's gonna kill me for that.
- 1:04:08SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 1:04:08SPEAKER_09: But it's the truth.
- 1:04:09SPEAKER_09: I mean, I just I almost did it, I did it in a loving, kidding manner.
- 1:04:12SPEAKER_09: It sounds like a married anymore, but I did it.
- 1:04:16SPEAKER_04: It sounds like a sitcom dynamic, definitely.
- 1:04:19SPEAKER_09: It does.
- 1:04:19SPEAKER_09: It does.
- 1:04:20SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:04:20SPEAKER_09: And she is actually uh the stepmom of the gentleman that runs this place.
- 1:04:25SPEAKER_09: So, yeah, roundabout way.
- 1:04:27SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 1:04:27SPEAKER_09: So the yeah, so much respect.
- 1:04:29SPEAKER_09: Yeah, all in the family.
- 1:04:30SPEAKER_09: All in the family.
- 1:04:31SPEAKER_09: You're good folks.
- 1:04:32SPEAKER_04: All right, um let's get to Eddie?
- 1:04:35SPEAKER_04: Ren Rance?
- 1:04:37SPEAKER_09: Yeah, we're gonna play one more song and then and then uh we'll save the rest for the next show.
- 1:04:42SPEAKER_09: Because I think we should close with Eddie and then we'll do Ren Rans.
- 1:04:45SPEAKER_09: I had something else I was gonna add.
- 1:04:46SPEAKER_09: Oh, about the play.
- 1:04:48SPEAKER_09: Uh okay, so here was my question.
- 1:04:50SPEAKER_04: Oh, I remember what I was gonna ask Audie too.
- 1:04:52SPEAKER_04: Go ahead.
- 1:04:53SPEAKER_09: We probably should ask this uh not recorded, but I'm gonna put you on the spot.
- 1:04:58SPEAKER_09: But um, you know, they have music from Masada House is the last weekend in August.
- 1:05:03SPEAKER_09: So are they bumping music from Masada House or you guys will not?
- 1:05:08SPEAKER_02: I actually told you the wrong date.
- 1:05:11SPEAKER_04: Our opening date for our opening show is August 12th.
- 1:05:14SPEAKER_09: August 12th?
- 1:05:15SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah.
- 1:05:16SPEAKER_04: Good and gone before the Masada House is the 12th.
- 1:05:19SPEAKER_09: So you're gonna be able to make because you have to be on stage with me for the Masada House.
- 1:05:23SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:05:23SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 1:05:24SPEAKER_04: And so the show, just to correct, Midsummer Night Stream at the Lions Wilderness Amphitheater in Farmington.
- 1:05:28SPEAKER_04: Um the first opening weekend is August 12th, and the following weekend, we're doing it for two weekends, is August 17th.
- 1:05:36SPEAKER_04: 19th.
- 1:05:36SPEAKER_04: Or 19th.
- 1:05:37SPEAKER_04: 19.
- 1:05:37SPEAKER_04: Seven days would be because seven plus twelve is nineteen.
- 1:05:42SPEAKER_04: And then here's what I was gonna say about Scotty.
- 1:05:44SPEAKER_04: Um, we're really excited to do this production.
- 1:05:46SPEAKER_04: We know that Shakespeare can be a little hard to embrace for the layman.
- 1:05:51SPEAKER_04: Um we assure you we're gonna put on a very good, entertaining, funny show.
- 1:05:55SPEAKER_04: So Scotty has some experience with Shakespeare.
- 1:05:58SPEAKER_04: If you want to tell him about it.
- 1:05:59SPEAKER_09: I love Shakespeare and people need to be enriched.
- 1:06:01SPEAKER_09: I mean, those plays were way ahead of their time.
- 1:06:05SPEAKER_13: Very much so.
- 1:06:06SPEAKER_09: And and if they're done right, they're still.
- 1:06:09SPEAKER_09: Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:06:10SPEAKER_09: And you'll laugh your butt off or you'll cry or whatever.
- 1:06:13SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 1:06:14SPEAKER_04: It's just all about uh a lot of the performing too.
- 1:06:16SPEAKER_04: Sometimes you just gotta perform to the back seats, you know?
- 1:06:18SPEAKER_05: Yeah, maybe you really gotta exaggerate and really be able to like speak through your body language while you're speaking.
- 1:06:24SPEAKER_04: Sometimes like with how obvious exaggeration.
- 1:06:30SPEAKER_04: I don't speak Italian, but when you watch an opera you you get a feeling for what they're talking about.
- 1:06:34SPEAKER_04: But you're gonna like this, Dave, too.
- 1:06:36SPEAKER_04: Um I'm coming, I'm gonna several several years ago.
- 1:06:40SPEAKER_04: The Farmington High School Drama Department.
- 1:06:42SPEAKER_13: It was like five or six years old.
- 1:06:44SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it was probably the first thing I ever did with Scotty.
- 1:06:46SPEAKER_04: It was probably how we met.
- 1:06:47SPEAKER_04: Was um it was a production of Hamlet?
- 1:06:50SPEAKER_04: Macbeth.
- 1:06:51SPEAKER_04: Macbeth.
- 1:06:51SPEAKER_04: Yeah, Mike Beth.
- 1:06:52SPEAKER_04: With Star Wars.
- 1:06:52SPEAKER_05: We matched it up with Star Wars.
- 1:06:54SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:06:54SPEAKER_04: And she was a she was a Twilight.
- 1:06:56SPEAKER_04: If you don't remember, those are the ones where they were like all painted.
- 1:06:59SPEAKER_04: She was all red.
- 1:07:00SPEAKER_04: She had the big, like, uh, you know, the big tentacles on her head.
- 1:07:04SPEAKER_04: It's not really tentacles, they're like Leku.
- 1:07:06SPEAKER_04: They're called Leku for the Star Wars fans, but she was all painted up and she was.
- 1:07:10SPEAKER_09: It's like brain poo-poo.
- 1:07:13SPEAKER_05: No! It's like her alien form.
- 1:07:15SPEAKER_05: She was like an alien.
- 1:07:16SPEAKER_09: Oh my god.
- 1:07:17SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:07:18SPEAKER_05: But uh big pimple.
- 1:07:19SPEAKER_09: No, I'm it's really not until you look it up.
- 1:07:22SPEAKER_09: It was pretty interesting.
- 1:07:23SPEAKER_05: It took us about two hours to do that makeup.
- 1:07:25SPEAKER_09: That's the most defensive I've ever seen you in.
- 1:07:28SPEAKER_04: Well, it's just because if you look at well, it's because Twilikes are like the beautiful women of the universe.
- 1:07:33SPEAKER_04: You know, in Jabba's palace, there's that green girl who's dancing, and and she doesn't come to him, and so she he drops her into the rag ragnord pit.
- 1:07:42SPEAKER_04: What are they called?
- 1:07:43SPEAKER_06: Uh I don't know.
- 1:07:44SPEAKER_04: Anyway, we're getting off topic.
- 1:07:45SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 1:07:46SPEAKER_04: Sarry rocks, we rock, let's play.
- 1:07:48SPEAKER_09: Yeah, don't forget about the play, though.
- 1:07:50SPEAKER_09: You guys come and see the uh Midsummer Night stream.
- 1:07:54SPEAKER_04: Yep.
- 1:07:54SPEAKER_09: And uh that's uh starting in August.
- 1:07:57SPEAKER_09: Yep, okay, thanks, ladies.
- 1:08:00SPEAKER_04: Thank you, thank you.
- 1:08:00SPEAKER_09: No, thank you.
- 1:08:01SPEAKER_09: No, no, no, thank you.
- 1:08:04SPEAKER_16: Thank Eddie Eva's trouble.
- 1:08:13SPEAKER_16: He was the thorn in his motors side.
- 1:08:23SPEAKER_16: She tried in vain, but it never caused her nothing but shame.
- 1:08:34SPEAKER_16: He left home the day she died from the day she was born all in front of the rock and roll born with the move back.
- 1:09:19SPEAKER_01: Everybody showed him I very nearly loved him.
- 1:09:26SPEAKER_01: Hey, Mr.
- 1:09:27SPEAKER_01: To me, stay safe inside me.
- 1:09:44SPEAKER_16: Make it walk.
- 1:10:24SPEAKER_11: What a gun makes you cry.
- 1:10:49SPEAKER_07: Time for film rant with Ren.
- 1:10:52SPEAKER_07: Hate 'em or love 'em.
- 1:10:54SPEAKER_07: New or classic, Ren Rant's on them all.
- 1:10:57SPEAKER_07: You're friend.
- 1:11:01SPEAKER_04: Today, on this very special episode of Ren Rants, I'm finally talking about a movie that I wanted to talk about forever because the person who understands is with me, Scotty.
- 1:11:13SPEAKER_04: Hello.
- 1:11:13SPEAKER_04: Scotty, do you want to tell them what we're gonna talk about today?
- 1:11:16SPEAKER_09: I don't even want to see this thing.
- 1:11:17SPEAKER_04: Joker?
- 1:11:18SPEAKER_04: Or you don't want to see the way we're interacting?
- 1:11:20SPEAKER_09: No, this is fine.
- 1:11:22SPEAKER_09: Oh, the the movie.
- 1:11:23SPEAKER_09: The movie.
- 1:11:24SPEAKER_04: That's okay.
- 1:11:24SPEAKER_04: It's not for everyone, but how do you put it into words?
- 1:11:28SPEAKER_04: I had a tattoo in the movie.
- 1:11:30SPEAKER_04: That's how much I love it.
- 1:11:31SPEAKER_04: Yeah, she has a tattoo on her leg that's like Joker's tattoo.
- 1:11:35SPEAKER_04: It's a big old Joker tattoo.
- 1:11:37SPEAKER_04: And another day in Chuckle Town.
- 1:11:39SPEAKER_04: Another day in Chuckletone, which is a line from the movie.
- 1:11:41SPEAKER_04: Where do we even start?
- 1:11:42SPEAKER_04: It's from 2019.
- 1:11:43SPEAKER_09: I might be able to handle that.
- 1:11:45SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:11:45SPEAKER_09: I thought you were talking about the one with the damn clown.
- 1:11:47SPEAKER_04: Oh no, no, no.
- 1:11:48SPEAKER_04: We're not talking about it.
- 1:11:50SPEAKER_04: This is the best.
- 1:11:51SPEAKER_04: That's fine.
- 1:11:51SPEAKER_04: This is much better.
- 1:11:52SPEAKER_09: Now that I could probably handle.
- 1:11:53SPEAKER_04: Yeah, you you probably would.
- 1:11:55SPEAKER_04: It's um, it's uh like a definitely a different take on the original DC character of Joker.
- 1:12:01SPEAKER_04: Definitely.
- 1:12:01SPEAKER_04: It's not even so much an origin story, as I think it's like a whole new take on it.
- 1:12:06SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it's it's it's not it's tied to the Batman mythos because, yeah, he's a Batman character.
- 1:12:12SPEAKER_04: But that feels very secondary to watching this character evolve.
- 1:12:16SPEAKER_05: Like Batman wasn't the main target in the whole film.
- 1:12:18SPEAKER_05: It was like how Arthur Fleck was being treated and handled in the world of Gotham, how he was being suffocated by it, his mental illness was being overlooked, like they're just like everything.
- 1:12:30SPEAKER_04: And and it's at that point in history where they were just closing down mental institutions and they were cutting funding for for therapy and and people getting meds.
- 1:12:39SPEAKER_04: And honestly, to me, the story is about a guy who is kind of telling everyone around him, I'm gonna fucking snap.
- 1:12:47SPEAKER_04: Sorry, I'm gonna snap.
- 1:12:50SPEAKER_09: It's alright, this one's gonna have an adult.
- 1:12:52SPEAKER_09: This one's before we're on the radio.
- 1:12:54SPEAKER_04: Um, I'm going to snap, and I need help, and I need something, something to intervene and help me, and everyone just fits in his face and cuts him off.
- 1:13:04SPEAKER_09: I've got to see this.
- 1:13:05SPEAKER_04: Oh, it's so good.
- 1:13:06SPEAKER_09: And the only reason I say that is because I didn't know the front story to why he's like that.
- 1:13:12SPEAKER_04: There's like a couple of different origin stories.
- 1:13:15SPEAKER_04: I think definitely the one that this one takes from a little bit, and also that a lot of the modern day interpretations uh Joker come from is Alan Moore's The Killing Joke, which is basically about Joker's origin story about how he was a comedian who had a wife and a mom, but he was a terrible comedian, and one day his wife leaves him and he loses his job and his mom dies, and he snaps and becomes crazy and becomes a Joker.
- 1:13:43SPEAKER_04: And uh Joker 2019 takes elements from that.
- 1:13:46SPEAKER_04: Arthur Fleck, played by the incomparable Joaquin Phoenix.
- 1:13:50SPEAKER_04: Oh my gosh.
- 1:13:51SPEAKER_04: He he wants to be a comedian too.
- 1:13:52SPEAKER_09: I love Joaquin.
- 1:13:53SPEAKER_04: Oh, he's so freaking good in this movie.
- 1:13:55SPEAKER_04: He won an Academy Award for it.
- 1:13:57SPEAKER_04: He's trying to- Oh we gotta see this.
- 1:13:59SPEAKER_04: Oh yeah, he's trying to be a comedian, but he's just weird and di and like detached from people.
- 1:14:04SPEAKER_04: So his humor's strange not there.
- 1:14:07SPEAKER_05: It's just very interesting how they like handle it and tackle it.
- 1:14:10SPEAKER_05: He goes to like a comedy scene and he'll laugh at all of the wrong jokes.
- 1:14:13SPEAKER_05: He'll laugh at the buildup of the joke and not the joke itself.
- 1:14:16SPEAKER_05: And it's just so interesting.
- 1:14:17SPEAKER_05: And he's taking notes, and you're like, oh no, this poor man, this guy, he's not getting it.
- 1:14:23SPEAKER_09: So to me, the ultimate uh joker was um heath the guy that's gonna be.
- 1:14:29SPEAKER_09: Yeah, oh my god.
- 1:14:30SPEAKER_05: Scotty Logs.
- 1:14:31SPEAKER_05: I love that one.
- 1:14:32SPEAKER_05: That was also a really good interpretation of Joker.
- 1:14:34SPEAKER_05: I think what made this Joker a lot more like why we attached to it is because of that mental issues and the mental health of it.
- 1:14:42SPEAKER_05: It was just like he It was like a part where he was in therapy and he was just like, I just don't want to feel so bad anymore.
- 1:14:47SPEAKER_05: And I was like, that's me.
- 1:14:51SPEAKER_05: That's it.
- 1:14:51SPEAKER_02: He doesn't really know what's wrong with him.
- 1:14:53SPEAKER_02: His therapist just is overworked and doesn't care, and he's just like, I just don't want to feel so bad anymore.
- 1:15:00SPEAKER_04: And then later on, after he's done something very insidious, you'll have to see it.
- 1:15:07SPEAKER_04: It's kind of morally great.
- 1:15:09SPEAKER_04: It's just called Joker.
- 1:15:10SPEAKER_04: Um he's talking to I hope it's available on my screen.
- 1:15:15SPEAKER_04: It's available on Amazon.
- 1:15:17SPEAKER_04: It's on there.
- 1:15:18SPEAKER_04: It might be on HBO, it's on HBO Max too, if you have that.
- 1:15:20SPEAKER_04: But he's talking to her and and he's like, You're not listening to me.
- 1:15:26SPEAKER_04: I don't think you've ever heard a single thing I've ever said.
- 1:15:30SPEAKER_04: I just told you that for the first time in my life, I feel seen.
- 1:15:36SPEAKER_04: And he's just like, it related to the scene, like people are seeing seeing him and celebrating him because he he basically I don't want to give anything away.
- 1:15:44SPEAKER_04: Yeah, he committed a crime, but it's kind of starting like a like a revolution in Gotham.
- 1:15:49SPEAKER_04: The way Gotham is portrayed is amazing.
- 1:15:52SPEAKER_05: Todd Phillips just nailed it on the directing, and like the cinematography of it was just incredible, showing how like Gotham can be suffocating, how dirty it is, yeah, how gross it is, and then that those upper class people don't see what the norm is.
- 1:16:06SPEAKER_09: And Bruce Wayne is an upper class person, isn't he?
- 1:16:08SPEAKER_04: And he's a he's a kid.
- 1:16:10SPEAKER_04: He's a kid in this one.
- 1:16:11SPEAKER_04: Oh, is he really?
- 1:16:12SPEAKER_04: The big Wayne influences Thomas Wayne, his father, who's like Who was an asshole, wasn't he?
- 1:16:17SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and still is.
- 1:16:18SPEAKER_04: He still is, and he's like a big mogul in that town, and he's running for mayor, and he's very like anti-poor.
- 1:16:25SPEAKER_04: He's like, we're always just gonna look at those who have made nothing out of their lives as clowns.
- 1:16:30SPEAKER_04: And it's like, yeah, wow, so that's where the face comes out.
- 1:16:34SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and so he embraces it.
- 1:16:37SPEAKER_09: Oh, Robert De Niro's in it too.
- 1:16:39SPEAKER_09: Mind yeah, I have goosebumps like that.
- 1:16:44SPEAKER_13: Every time.
- 1:16:45SPEAKER_09: Alright, well, I've watched it today.
- 1:16:46SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it's the bad day movie, it's a good one.
- 1:16:48SPEAKER_04: And uh Robert De Niro's in it.
- 1:16:49SPEAKER_04: I didn't even mention it.
- 1:16:51SPEAKER_09: Oh my god.
- 1:16:52SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and there was some controversy surrounding it when it came out.
- 1:16:54SPEAKER_04: People thought that it was gonna like cause mental, mentally unstable people, loners to like shoot up movie theaters.
- 1:17:01SPEAKER_04: Just like Dark Knight, and it's that's not what happens.
- 1:17:04SPEAKER_04: The message to that movie was completely different than what they were thinking it was.
- 1:17:07SPEAKER_09: I'm excited to see.
- 1:17:09SPEAKER_04: I think Joker's a really good one.
- 1:17:10SPEAKER_09: Good call, good call.
- 1:17:11SPEAKER_09: Glad you didn't do the clown.
- 1:17:12SPEAKER_09: Didn't want to do the clown.
- 1:17:13SPEAKER_04: Yeah, who needs it?
- 1:17:14SPEAKER_04: We got Joker.
- 1:17:16SPEAKER_04: Joker, baby.
- 1:17:16SPEAKER_04: Another day in Chuckletown.
- 1:17:21SPEAKER_07: Be listening each week for yet another ranting with Rin.
- 1:17:26SPEAKER_00: And you, sweetheart, you are just playing with me.
- 1:17:28SPEAKER_07: She's relentless.
- 1:17:32SPEAKER_09: I'm so glad we had this time.
- 1:17:36SPEAKER_04: I feel like I need a closing song.
- 1:17:38SPEAKER_04: I keep forgetting.
- 1:17:39SPEAKER_04: Because you have yours, or maybe I should just learn the Carol Barnett song.
- 1:17:43SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 1:17:43SPEAKER_09: I'm trying to think, uh, what are some of the songs that uh I always know closing time.
- 1:17:48SPEAKER_09: Closing time.
- 1:17:50SPEAKER_04: I'd play that when I was closing the movie theater by myself.
- 1:17:53SPEAKER_04: So it would be so cool.
- 1:17:56SPEAKER_04: To take me home.
- 1:17:57SPEAKER_04: Take me home.
- 1:18:01SPEAKER_09: Man, I don't know if I could have handled you two at the same time again.
- 1:18:04SPEAKER_09: I don't know.
- 1:18:05SPEAKER_04: Well, you'll get a refresher, you'll get a palate cleanser, we'll come back recharged, and uh we'll sap all your energy again.
- 1:18:13SPEAKER_09: Alright, so the next show, um, after this one, we'll play the remainder of that wonderful uh movie soundtrack.
- 1:18:21SPEAKER_09: Uh Rocky Horror Picture Show for me.
- 1:18:24SPEAKER_09: I'm very, very excited.
- 1:18:25SPEAKER_09: Okay, so um so next week, we the remainder we've got uh the songs that we have remaining are Rose Tip My World, which is really cool.
- 1:18:34SPEAKER_09: It's a long one though, and then I'm coming home.
- 1:18:36SPEAKER_09: Or I'm going home, not coming home.
- 1:18:38SPEAKER_09: That's uh the Tim Curry one that's where he talks about blasting off superheroes, uh science fiction double feature reprise.
- 1:18:46SPEAKER_09: And then we're gonna do the time walk again.
- 1:18:49SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 1:18:50SPEAKER_09: That's the end of the movie.
- 1:18:51SPEAKER_04: That's just a jump to the lap.
- 1:18:53SPEAKER_09: Yeah, just a crazy little jump to the lap.
- 1:18:56SPEAKER_09: Uh Scotty, it was nice to have you.
- 1:18:58SPEAKER_09: Well, first let me give uh uh Karen, would you like to say anything?

- 1:19:05SPEAKER_09: And and and the puppy too.
- 1:19:06SPEAKER_09: I can't remember the puppy's name.
- 1:19:08SPEAKER_04: I sure wish I was seeing Coco.
- 1:19:10SPEAKER_04: Coco Chanel.

- 1:19:13SPEAKER_04: That's her name.
- 1:19:14SPEAKER_09: I used to wear Chanel number five.
- 1:19:16SPEAKER_04: That's one of my mom's favorite.
- 1:19:18SPEAKER_04: You know, she designed that.
- 1:19:21SPEAKER_09: I love the way she said that.
- 1:19:23SPEAKER_09: She designed that.
- 1:19:26SPEAKER_12: I'm so glad you asked.
- 1:19:27SPEAKER_09: I well, it was uh, you know, it was I I think we talked about this on one of our podcasts, but it was for lovely mother that had me go do a read that I enjoyed.
- 1:19:37SPEAKER_09: Um and and and it was felt like I was getting into character too.
- 1:19:40SPEAKER_09: I felt kind of strange.
- 1:19:41SPEAKER_09: I felt embarrassed at first, but then everybody else was doing the same thing.
- 1:19:44SPEAKER_03: But theater is alive in Farmington.
- 1:19:49SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
