- 1:14Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 323.
- 1:18Sean McAllister: Sean McAllister and Dana Roselli here with you.
- 1:21Sean McAllister: And Dana, you have a glow because you've been away closer to the equator for a little bit.
- 1:26Dayna Roselli: That humidity really does wonders for your skin.
- 1:28Dayna Roselli: Does not do wonders for my hair, though.
- 1:30Dayna Roselli: I could never live there.
- 1:31Dayna Roselli: No.
- 1:32Dayna Roselli: Well, no.
- 1:33Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's I have a lot of hair.
- 1:35Dayna Roselli: So it needs to be back at all times.
- 1:38Dayna Roselli: But anyway, yeah, went to Panama.
- 1:39Dayna Roselli: I don't want to get into a big thing because I know this is a podcast about Las Vegas, but I did want to point out that I took two nonstop flights there on Copa Airlines.
- 1:48Dayna Roselli: And a lot of people that have asked me about my trip to Panama, because they've seen pictures and videos, were shocked to hear there's a nonstop flight.
- 1:54Dayna Roselli: So I thought that was really worth sharing.
- 1:56Sean McAllister: I was surprised by that too.
- 1:58Dayna Roselli: And Panama, great uh airport.
- 2:00Dayna Roselli: Easy, beautiful, uh, like newer parts.
- 2:04Dayna Roselli: You land right in Terminal 2, you go down the stairs, you're in immigration, you go out the door and get your bag, and you're on your way.
- 2:10SPEAKER_02: Great.
- 2:10Dayna Roselli: So it was great.
- 2:11Dayna Roselli: Uber rides, I mean, from the airport to I stayed in the city, um, the Waldorf Astoria there, you know, I don't know what it was, like 20 minutes or whatever.
- 2:20Dayna Roselli: And like, I think it was like$18.
- 2:22Dayna Roselli: Uber's very cheap in Panama.
- 2:24Dayna Roselli: But anyway, Copa Airlines is great.
- 2:26Dayna Roselli: We even got meals, Sean.
- 2:27Dayna Roselli: I had breakfast and dinner fair.
- 2:30Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I guess they serve meals.
- 2:32Dayna Roselli: So I was like, I haven't had a meal.
- 2:33Dayna Roselli: I smelled it coming, and then the cart was rolling down, and I smelled the choices, and it was good.
- 2:40Dayna Roselli: Had a nice omelet for breakfast.
- 2:42Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh, that's great.
- 2:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so it was great.
- 2:45Dayna Roselli: Um, so anyway, um, and very affordable when I booked.
- 2:48Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 2:49Dayna Roselli: I don't know at all times.
- 2:50Dayna Roselli: But Copa Airlines is great, goes down to Panama and back.
- 2:53Dayna Roselli: They do have other flights that aren't nonstop, but I went on a Sunday evening to a Thursday evening, and there were two nonstop flights back and forth to Vegas.
- 3:01Dayna Roselli: I think there was one on Saturday too.
- 3:02Sean McAllister: Oh, that's amazing.
- 3:03Dayna Roselli: Yeah, Panama was wonderful.
- 3:05Dayna Roselli: I was shocked.
- 3:05Dayna Roselli: I'd never been there.
- 3:07Dayna Roselli: I I've only transferred to go to Costa Rica there in the airport, but um, I've never visited.
- 3:12Dayna Roselli: It was a friend's 50th birthday, and I just must say I enjoyed it so much.
- 3:16Dayna Roselli: I love that there's like water in city and historic neighborhoods and shopping and islands.
- 3:23Dayna Roselli: It just has everything you would need.
- 3:25Dayna Roselli: It's funny too, because everyone kept DMing me because Bethany Frankel was there when I was there.
- 3:30Sean McAllister: Yeah, I was watching her.
- 3:31Sean McAllister: She was popping up all over the place, little cafes, going down the street, bopping around.
- 3:37Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so as soon as we would see it was funny because we'd be like, hey, we were just there because we recognized like the couches or the tables or whatever.
- 3:44Dayna Roselli: But you know, Bethany also is constantly pushing content out.
- 3:49Dayna Roselli: So she may have been there weeks before, a week before, but it was funny to see some of the places that she was recommending that we had gone to and been like, yeah, that she's right, that was good.
- 3:58Dayna Roselli: Um, the food's amazing there.
- 4:00Dayna Roselli: It's so affordable to visit there.
- 4:03Dayna Roselli: Um, the shopping was great.
- 4:05Dayna Roselli: Oh, the colors and the art and just the people, so nice.
- 4:10Dayna Roselli: And I wanted to point out um that the tipping was really interesting because I had an appreciation that people appreciated our tips, which I feel like that's gone away.
- 4:21Sean McAllister: Really?
- 4:22Sean McAllister: So, like how is it still the standard like 20% tipping in Panama too?
- 4:27Dayna Roselli: No, I think it's 10%.
- 4:28Dayna Roselli: There, so anything above that is like wow, you really, yeah, it was 10%.
- 4:33Dayna Roselli: I think on a couple of the like we went to a couple nice restaurants and then other place days we just bopped around, got a little ceviche here and a drink, moved on, got something else.
- 4:41Dayna Roselli: So, but um mostly what I saw was 10% at the bottom of, and I can't think of what, maybe even the bill, I don't know, different things, receipts or whatever.
- 4:49Dayna Roselli: Um, so when you tip above and beyond, you know, we were just kind of in our 20% mode.
- 4:56Dayna Roselli: Um it, you know, and even tip at all, because it says it would be nice or recommended if you had great service, but it doesn't like force you to all of your servers were like, Man, look at these ballers I'm serving over here.
- 5:10Sean McAllister: Well, kind of dropping some cash, right?
- 5:12Dayna Roselli: But not with that attitude, with this gracious big smile, beautiful people, just appreciative.
- 5:19Dayna Roselli: They had no attitude about I'm here to work for ti.
- 5:23Dayna Roselli: It was just welcome, what do you guys want?
- 5:26Dayna Roselli: And then when you give them a tip, they're just like, um, thank you so much, and a huge smile, and then they wrap up, you know, with with just making sure you have everything you need.
- 5:36Dayna Roselli: It just was such a nice feeling.
- 5:38Sean McAllister: So nobody flipped the iPad around right in front of you and said, You need to make some choices before you pay.
- 5:43Dayna Roselli: No, and sometimes they were surprised you even tipped at all.
- 5:46Dayna Roselli: They were just thankful that you even tipped it all.
- 5:48Dayna Roselli: So it was so nice.
- 5:49Sean McAllister: That's great.
- 5:50Sean McAllister: And having it be affordable on top of that, yeah, that's a win-win.
- 5:54Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 5:54Dayna Roselli: So we really enjoyed that.
- 5:55Dayna Roselli: We took a boat ride out to Toboga Island.
- 5:57Dayna Roselli: It was great.
- 5:58Dayna Roselli: And um, we tipped 20% to the the driver and his son.
- 6:02Dayna Roselli: Um, and they were so appreciative.
- 6:04Dayna Roselli: Like, oh my gosh, like I, you know, so it was it was great.
- 6:08Dayna Roselli: Um, a lot of fun.
- 6:09Dayna Roselli: Panama, I highly recommend it for a trip.
- 6:12Dayna Roselli: And you know, I went and landed on a Monday morning, Sunday night, and came back on a Thursday.
- 6:16Dayna Roselli: Left there at 5 30 p.m.
- 6:17Dayna Roselli: And it was a it was a perfect, it was almost like a really super long weekend, but I feel like I got a lot in and really enjoyed it.
- 6:24Sean McAllister: Well, good.
- 6:24Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 6:25Sean McAllister: I'm glad that it was a good vacation that jellyfish didn't get you.
- 6:30Dayna Roselli: Well, I did actually.
- 6:31Dayna Roselli: So I got bit a little bit by a jellyfish.
- 6:34Dayna Roselli: Um, they're called, he called them something, the captain of the ship that was we went swimming when he anchored and we were like, Do you guys feel little things pinching?
- 6:42Dayna Roselli: And I was like, I do.
- 6:43Dayna Roselli: And then we got out, I had a little bit of a rash on my leg and I was laughing because he said it's not it's like jellyfish, like little, I don't want to say parts of a jellyfish, but he said, What happens is because the water was very warm.
- 6:55Dayna Roselli: He said, in this time of year when it transitions from colder to warm and the two blend together, it creates some, I don't know what, and it's a certain season, and he goes, Sometimes they pinch at you.
- 7:05Dayna Roselli: Um, shouldn't do anything, but sometimes it can leave a little rash.
- 7:08Dayna Roselli: So he just told I bought I just poured uh cold water on it, it was fine.
- 7:13Dayna Roselli: And then I bought a little uh ointment when I got back to the hotel to fix it.
- 7:17Dayna Roselli: But I was like, oh my god, if this gets bad, it's like I literally called it.
- 7:22Sean McAllister: Well, I'm glad that it didn't get bad.
- 7:24Sean McAllister: It didn't get bad.
- 7:25Sean McAllister: And that the ointment in Panama I went to the pharmacy, they're so nice.
- 7:30Dayna Roselli: Pharmacia, I got a$10 big tube of antihistamine ointment.
- 7:37Dayna Roselli: They were so nice.
- 7:38Sean McAllister: I bet.
- 7:38Sean McAllister: Yeah, those pharmacias are great.
- 7:40Dayna Roselli: They are.
- 7:41Sean McAllister: Hey, uh back here in Las Vegas on the Las Vegas strip, there has been some moving and shaking going on with casino management starting at uh Caesars Palace, Caesars Entertainment, I should say, which owns Caesar's Palace, um, has been bought by Tillman Fertita.
- 8:00Dayna Roselli: Yeah, big news, right?
- 8:02Dayna Roselli: I mean, we kind of heard a buzz that this might happen, um, but then it just kind of dropped and it was like, wow.
- 8:08Dayna Roselli: Um, so apparently uh they entered into a definitive agreement, Caesar did, to be acquired by Fertita Entertainment in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately 17.6 billion, including the assumption of approximately 11.9 billion of Caesar's outstanding debt.
- 8:26Dayna Roselli: And I guess it could just move forward, but I did notice there was this little um go shop period through July 11th of 2026.
- 8:35Dayna Roselli: And during that time, Caesars and its financial and legal advisors may solicit, consider, and negotiate alternative acquisition proposals from third parties.
- 8:46Dayna Roselli: So I guess we'll have to wait till July 11th to know for sure.
- 8:51Sean McAllister: And it seems like uh some of the management should stay in place.
- 8:57Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 8:57Sean McAllister: Um, but uh that all remains to be seen as whenever new management comes in, you know that that things can change a little bit.
- 9:06Sean McAllister: But time will tell.
- 9:07Dayna Roselli: Yeah, the Fertita family as a whole open and run great hotel casinos and entertainment stuff.
- 9:13Dayna Roselli: So I mean, you know, if this is a changeover um that's positive for everyone, then hey, bring it.
- 9:20Dayna Roselli: Um, Caesar's properties have been staples in Las Vegas forever.
- 9:26Dayna Roselli: And you know, even when they got bought bought last time, it's like not too much changes, but sometimes it can.
- 9:31Dayna Roselli: So we'll have to see if he takes over what changes will come.
- 9:35Dayna Roselli: You know, I think I think we kind of a lot of people really felt that Caesars was kind of putting a hold on a lot of like refurbishing things because it was kind of feeling like they might get bought.
- 9:45Sean McAllister: Yeah, yeah.
- 9:46Sean McAllister: Yeah, so that deal with uh Tillman Fertita and Caesars Entertainment, a done deal.
- 9:51Sean McAllister: What's not a done deal yet is the potential buyout of MGM Resorts International.
- 9:58Sean McAllister: Uh, Barry Diller, who owns People Inc., has put in an offer um to buy out uh MGM Resorts.
- 10:07Sean McAllister: He's had shares of MGM resorts for years, but now wants to go in and uh buy out the company.
- 10:16Sean McAllister: Um, and one of the interesting things that I was reading about is uh that Diller says, you know, as we enter this age where AI is kind of taking over, these real life in-person experiential things like Las Vegas are really going to start to be more meaningful to people because uh those experiences cannot be uh duplicated, replicated, initiated by AI.
- 10:49Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 10:51Sean McAllister: We don't think well, not yet.
- 10:54Sean McAllister: Not yet.
- 10:56Dayna Roselli: But yes, no, he makes a good point, and it's interesting.
- 10:59Dayna Roselli: He's definitely got his eye on something.
- 11:02Dayna Roselli: He sees what it can be if he took over.
- 11:06Dayna Roselli: So yeah, we have to watch that.
- 11:07Dayna Roselli: I mean, can you imagine though, like two big sales if this happens?
- 11:10Sean McAllister: I know it really could true.
- 11:12Sean McAllister: I mean, yeah, having just Caesar's Entertainment have new ownership, that's already a massive uh effect on Las Vegas as a whole because they own so many properties, uh, especially Center Strip.
- 11:26Sean McAllister: But uh you toss in possible management uh ownership changes at MGM, and that's that's the bulk of the Las Vegas strip.
- 11:36Dayna Roselli: MGM Grand, Luxor, Excalibur, Bellagio, Aria.
- 11:39Dayna Roselli: I mean, the park MGM, it goes on, you know, cosmopolitan now.
- 11:43Dayna Roselli: So um the two biggest.
- 11:45Dayna Roselli: It'll be interesting to see what happens.
- 11:47Dayna Roselli: So anyway, that's what's going on there.
- 11:48Dayna Roselli: For more details, you can Google it.
- 11:50Dayna Roselli: And uh Sean and I just like to tell you a couple of the things going on that could, you know, possibly affect you or you might be hearing about buzzing in Las Vegas.
- 12:00Dayna Roselli: Hey, we went to see No Doubt, um, and they were great.
- 12:04Dayna Roselli: I went separately, you went separately, um, different days, but we saw them at the sphere, and you know, I really, really enjoyed it.
- 12:11Dayna Roselli: I mean, there were not I didn't know every single song, but I don't know that it really mattered.
- 12:15Sean McAllister: No, it didn't matter at all.
- 12:16Sean McAllister: I didn't know every song, but I knew the bulk of them.
- 12:20Sean McAllister: And it was just they put on such a great show.
- 12:24Sean McAllister: Gwen Stefani, I mean, moves around that stage.
- 12:28Sean McAllister: She likes kicks and runs and hops and she looks like she's having a lot of fun.
- 12:34Dayna Roselli: I could tell this is really, I don't know, made her happy doing this.
- 12:37Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 12:37Dayna Roselli: I could tell.
- 12:38Sean McAllister: It seems like it.
- 12:39Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 12:39Dayna Roselli: And you know, I was never a no-doubt fanatic, liked their music, but so, and I I don't think you were either, is to the point where we learned a lot because the storytelling that they like Gwen would go off and kind of change her outfit and stuff like that, and they'd show videos, but they were always so interesting and they would tell stories about the band back in the day.
- 12:57Dayna Roselli: And I I felt like I learned a lot and I found it very interesting.
- 13:00Sean McAllister: Yeah, I did not know that uh Gwen and Tony dated.
- 13:04Sean McAllister: Yeah, they were together, and um, like Don't Speak was like their breakup song.
- 13:09Sean McAllister: Right.
- 13:10Sean McAllister: And how many times have they had to play that together since then?
- 13:14Dayna Roselli: And the band was like, we had to, you know, take this on.
- 13:17Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 13:18Dayna Roselli: Like, you know, people walking into work basically, you know, that it just broke up that were together.
- 13:22Dayna Roselli: So yeah, it was it was great.
- 13:24Dayna Roselli: The visuals were good.
- 13:26Dayna Roselli: Um, I love that she called people up on stage, embraced, she would read some of the signs.
- 13:32Dayna Roselli: Yeah, when someone was there, you know, and take pictures and selfies.
- 13:35Dayna Roselli: It was great, very interactive.
- 13:36Dayna Roselli: I thought they really did it right.
- 13:38Sean McAllister: And part of the production, you saw a lot of uh pictures, some pictures, but mostly video.
- 13:45Sean McAllister: And it had to have been like old VHS recordings of the band, like when they were in their early days in Orange County and just starting out playing fairs and festivals, and seeing that footage and the fact that it survived, and even their show posters from throughout the years, yeah.
- 14:07Sean McAllister: I'm like, man, who had the the foresight to hang on to this stuff?
- 14:14Sean McAllister: Obviously, they didn't know at some point it would become part of the production inside of the sphere in Las Vegas, but uh just having all that stuff made me think, God, I've thrown away a lot of my a lot of my personal history.
- 14:28Sean McAllister: Not that I'm headlining the sphere anytime soon, but they that's just really cool stuff to hang on to.
- 14:34Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and you can see a lot of some of that stuff over at the Venetian with that free pop-up that they had going on over there.
- 14:39Dayna Roselli: I mean, you could buy VIP tickets too, but they had a whole experience.
- 14:43Dayna Roselli: So um, next up, uh Kenny Chesney's coming back, Backstreet's back in in August, uh, Metallica will be in the fall.
- 14:51Dayna Roselli: Who else?
- 14:52Dayna Roselli: Someone else was mixing up.
- 14:54Dayna Roselli: So all that coming up at the sphere.
- 14:56Dayna Roselli: They have a lot going on.
- 14:57Dayna Roselli: Well, I love when people listen to us and send us notes.
- 15:00Dayna Roselli: We always say, email us, send us a note.
- 15:02Dayna Roselli: What do you want to hear about?
- 15:03Dayna Roselli: Tell us about a deal.
- 15:04Dayna Roselli: And we got a note from Barthos Beer Bar in Las Vegas, and I love this.
- 15:09Dayna Roselli: Uh, they say, Hi guys, a couple weeks ago, you mentioned in your podcast to get in touch with you if there's a good deal.
- 15:16Dayna Roselli: So they just opened a little living room style bottle shop with an artsy touch with the largest selection of German beers.
- 15:24Dayna Roselli: It's at the District on Commerce in Wyoming in Las Vegas, and they offer$3 PBR every day during opening hours.
- 15:32Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 15:33Dayna Roselli: And I guess they soft open when they had written us this, and they said um about a week ago, so more than a week ago, but um, they said they're on a limited run menu right now, but they're gonna add more, they're gonna have more specials.
- 15:45Dayna Roselli: Um, and they said, check out our Instagram, which we did.
- 15:48Dayna Roselli: We went over and looked, and it's um Barthos Vegas at Barthos Vegas, and it looks really nice.
- 15:57Sean McAllister: It does, and it is like kind of a living room feel, and they're playing off of that with uh some of the things that they have going on in there.
- 16:05Sean McAllister: For example, every Wednesday night, they have board game nights.
- 16:10Sean McAllister: Love that they welcome players of all levels, uh all games are welcome.
- 16:15Sean McAllister: They say bring your favorites, or you can discover some of the classics that they have there.
- 16:21Sean McAllister: There's drinks and snacks.
- 16:23Sean McAllister: That's a fun that's a fun night out.
- 16:25Sean McAllister: It is.
- 16:26Sean McAllister: I like board games.
- 16:27Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 16:28Dayna Roselli: They're so fun.
- 16:28Dayna Roselli: And uh July 4th, they're having a big red, white, and bruise party starting at 5 p.m.
- 16:34Dayna Roselli: So anyway, um, check them out.
- 16:36Dayna Roselli: We love that they emailed and we think it's great that there are places that are have great deals at this time when everyone's trying to save a little bit of money.
- 16:45Sean McAllister: And uh again, if you're listening and you uh have a business with a great deal, or if you've been somewhere recently where you were like, wow, that was pretty insane that we got that for X amount, um, email us ideas at vegas-revealed.com and we'll share because we want everyone to know about a good deal.
- 17:08Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 17:08Dayna Roselli: Love it, love it, love it.
- 17:10Dayna Roselli: Hey, we went over to the Vanderpump Hotel, and actually, when this audio podcast drops, you and I are sitting there doing 25 live shots around the country because we're gonna be at the top of the Vanderpump uh to have a backdrop of the Las Vegas strip.
- 17:23Dayna Roselli: We're doing uh something that uh for stations across the country where we're gonna be pushing all the different summer things happening in Las Vegas.
- 17:31Dayna Roselli: So we look forward to that.
- 17:32Dayna Roselli: But we did go up there for the site visit and we got to see the new pool area at Vanderpump and the views that you get.
- 17:39Dayna Roselli: We got to walk through the hotel casino.
- 17:41Dayna Roselli: We walk by the Gigolo Bar.
- 17:43Sean McAllister: The Gigolo Bar, yeah.
- 17:45Dayna Roselli: So it looks nice.
- 17:46Dayna Roselli: Um, we're gonna go to the grand opening and get more, you know, in-depth then and really be able to check out stuff.
- 17:51Dayna Roselli: But it is, I mean, the top area, you know, the pool area was Dre's for so long.
- 17:56Dayna Roselli: Um, but now it's a more relaxed atmosphere in the day and the evening.
- 18:00Sean McAllister: And it just a really nice, uh an elevated feel up there.
- 18:05Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 18:06Sean McAllister: Really.
- 18:06Sean McAllister: Um, the part of uh Dre's that used to be the uh the nightclub y part because it's Dre's Beach Club up there, but there was an indoor and outdoor space, the pool and then the indoor clubby kind of vibe.
- 18:20Sean McAllister: Um that's going to be mostly for events at this point.
- 18:25Sean McAllister: Um, but that could be activated as uh something else in the in the future.
- 18:30Sean McAllister: Um, one thing that I found out that I thought was really interesting is that if you stay at Vanderpump Hotel and order room service, the food comes from Giata.
- 18:40Sean McAllister: Right.
- 18:41Sean McAllister: The Giata De Lorentis restaurant that's been there for a while.
- 18:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah, because everyone was saying, Oh, is it gonna close?
- 18:46Dayna Roselli: No, she's staying open.
- 18:48Dayna Roselli: And in fact, what did they say?
- 18:49Dayna Roselli: They're doing brunch seven days a week.
- 18:51Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so expanded hours.
- 18:53Dayna Roselli: I think it's wonderful.
- 18:55SPEAKER_02: It is great.
- 18:55Dayna Roselli: And if anyone's not familiar, it's the old Cromwell.
- 18:58Dayna Roselli: So the Cromwell has now turned into the Vanderpump Hotel.
- 19:01Dayna Roselli: Lisa Vanderpump, reality star, restaurateur.
- 19:04Dayna Roselli: She's got cocktail lounges up and down Las Vegas.
- 19:07Dayna Roselli: So um it's a really great addition to the strip.
- 19:10Sean McAllister: And Lisa has said she is doing a reality show about opening her first ever hotel and the fact that it's on Las Vegas Boulevard doesn't hurt.
- 19:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 19:21Sean McAllister: Uh so she's been around at the property.
- 19:25Sean McAllister: Lots of fans have snapped pictures of Lisa doing uh a lot of the promotional filming that's that's going on right now.
- 19:33Sean McAllister: Um, and Lisa's got a lot of fans, and so there's a lot of people who are gonna come here and see her.
- 19:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 19:38Dayna Roselli: Or hope to.
- 19:39Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 19:40Dayna Roselli: We'll be there June 11th for the big party and red carpet and all that.
- 19:44Dayna Roselli: Hey, while we were up there, we saw the Hard Rock Hotel Tower, um, which we see when we drive on the ground, but it was fun to see from a distance um how far along it is.
- 19:52Dayna Roselli: Almost like, I mean, uh maybe even more than halfway at this point, but wanted to point out, you know, it's supposed to open, you know, fourth quarter of 2027.
- 20:01Dayna Roselli: That's what they said originally.
- 20:02Dayna Roselli: Don't know the update on timeline for that.
- 20:05Dayna Roselli: I'm sure things change, but it looks like fourth quarter of 2027.
- 20:09Dayna Roselli: Um, but uh they are hiring already on their website for top-level positions.
- 20:14Dayna Roselli: So FYI actually went and looked because I was writing a script for our television show, and they're in full swing to hire.
- 20:19Dayna Roselli: So if you're interested in coming to move to Las Vegas or you're working on another property and you want to move over to another one, apply.
- 20:26Sean McAllister: And it really is amazing to see how quickly that guitar tower has uh come to be.
- 20:33Sean McAllister: I mean, uh, that's the site where the old Mirage volcano used to be, and now it's a giant glass guitar that really dominates the skyline of the Las Vegas Strip.
- 20:46Dayna Roselli: And a lot of people say, Oh, wait, you can stay in and like they just think it's just like built for show.
- 20:52Dayna Roselli: Oh no, you can stay in the guitar tower.
- 20:53Dayna Roselli: It's a hotel.
- 20:54Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 20:55Sean McAllister: And they're building an entire, like uh they're connecting the casino to the guitar tower, so that's gonna be a huge area um of new casino space, too.
- 21:08Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's gonna be great.
- 21:09Dayna Roselli: Listen, we get a lot there like I feel like a lot of people are excited about it, but then you get the occasional comments on social media whenever we post about it and we get a lot of hate.
- 21:18Dayna Roselli: Like, it's awful, it's an eyesore.
- 21:19Dayna Roselli: I don't, and I'm like, uh I don't know.
- 21:21Dayna Roselli: Sean and I are staying firm.
- 21:22Dayna Roselli: We like it.
- 21:22Dayna Roselli: I like it, I think it's cool.
- 21:24Sean McAllister: Yeah, I think that it's I you know what it's grown on me because I was one of those people uh when the renderings first came out, but now actually seeing it there, I mean, it's pretty cool, and it is massive, massive.
- 21:40Dayna Roselli: But it just adds to we need a little, you know, new something.
- 21:44unknown: Absolutely.
- 21:45Dayna Roselli: You know, something different, you know?
- 21:46Dayna Roselli: We've had a lot of luxury hotels open recently and they're wonderful.
- 21:49Dayna Roselli: Love the Fountain Blue, love Resorts World, but it's kind of fun to go back to okay, now we got a guitar, you know, we've got a castle and we've got the pyramid and we've got the Eiffel Tower.
- 21:58Dayna Roselli: We haven't had like a thing, right?
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: A theme.
- 22:01Dayna Roselli: A theme in a while.
- 22:03Dayna Roselli: So yeah.
- 22:03Dayna Roselli: And the people that like visit Florida or live down there where they have the other hard rock uh guitar tower.
- 22:09Dayna Roselli: They say, Oh, you're gonna love it.
- 22:10Dayna Roselli: It's just the coolest thing to drive by.
- 22:12Dayna Roselli: And our ours is way bigger, by the way.
- 22:14SPEAKER_02: It is.
- 22:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 22:15Dayna Roselli: Hey, went to see the Yachtly crew at the Sahara.
- 22:17Dayna Roselli: They are doing summer pool concerts.
- 22:19Dayna Roselli: So FYI.
- 22:20Dayna Roselli: I, first of all, love that there are yacht rock fanatics out there.
- 22:26Dayna Roselli: So many people were dressed in the nines and their captain's hats.
- 22:30Dayna Roselli: The yachtly crew, fantastic.
- 22:33Dayna Roselli: Um, and yeah, people were really excited about this.
- 22:36Dayna Roselli: And I think because Sean and you and I always say we like covers.
- 22:39Dayna Roselli: It's like because they sing yacht rock and you know all the music.
- 22:42Dayna Roselli: And I realize I'm such a fan of yacht rock.
- 22:45Dayna Roselli: You know, I actually listen to the Yacht Rock station on my Apple Music.
- 22:48Dayna Roselli: So um, it's good stuff.
- 22:50Dayna Roselli: Everyone knows the words, it was a vibe.
- 22:52Dayna Roselli: Um, but really nice out there at the pool deck.
- 22:54Dayna Roselli: I've never been to the pool deck at night when they have concerts, and it's so spacious.
- 22:59Dayna Roselli: Great, like LED screens, a great stage, drinks, cabanas.
- 23:04Dayna Roselli: So it was wonderful.
- 23:06Dayna Roselli: I'm glad they're doing this.
- 23:07Dayna Roselli: And when we walked in to go to dinner first, there was a line wrapped around to get in.
- 23:12Sean McAllister: Oh, no way.
- 23:13Dayna Roselli: They're very popular.
- 23:14Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 23:15Dayna Roselli: Anyway, shout out to the Yachtly crew.
- 23:17Dayna Roselli: They're fabulous.
- 23:18Dayna Roselli: Um, but FYI, the other concerts coming up, Billy Bob Thornton and the Boxmasters coming June 13th, Sugar Ray, June 20th, Smashmouth performing July 4th.
- 23:29Dayna Roselli: Uh, the Totally Tubular Festival is set for July 25th.
- 23:34Dayna Roselli: And this includes a bunch of different bands, old school bands, including like Flock of Seagulls, The Motels, The Escape Club, and many more.
- 23:42Dayna Roselli: So that'll be fun.
- 23:43Dayna Roselli: Spin Doctors are performing in October.
- 23:45Dayna Roselli: Doors open at 7:30.
- 23:47Dayna Roselli: Uh, when I looked, most shows, I think they're all like$47, and they usually have a like buy one, get one for locals.
- 23:53Sean McAllister: Oh, good.
- 23:54Sean McAllister: Great.
- 23:55Dayna Roselli: So it was great.
- 23:55Dayna Roselli: I loved it.
- 23:56Sean McAllister: I might need to head over there at the Sahara Pool concerts to my agenda for the summer.
- 24:02Sean McAllister: Hey, there is some new entertainment over at Fountain Blue Las Vegas.
- 24:06Sean McAllister: Award-winning mentalist duo Mind to Mind has an exclusive residency over there inside Azul.
- 24:15Sean McAllister: And this is gonna showcase their one-of-a-kind talents.
- 24:19Sean McAllister: Those mentalists just always blow me away because they just somehow there's a trick to it.
- 24:26Sean McAllister: There's gotta be.
- 24:27Sean McAllister: I don't know what it is, and I think that's what bugs me a little bit.
- 24:30Sean McAllister: But they do sleight of hand, they know what kind of thoughts are in your head, uh, mind reading, thought reveals, predictions.
- 24:39Sean McAllister: And just like everybody else who sees them, that'll make you say, How is that even possible?
- 24:45SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 24:45Sean McAllister: I have no idea.
- 24:47Sean McAllister: Uh, they're known as world champions of mentalism.
- 24:51Sean McAllister: They uh gained a global following through their appearances on America's Got Talent, Britain's Got Talent, Masters of Illusion.
- 24:58Sean McAllister: They've been on a bunch of other shows, but there are tickets now on sale for Mind to Mind over at Fountain Blue.
- 25:06Dayna Roselli: And I think I saw Tom Brady went to one of the soft openings.
- 25:10Dayna Roselli: He's been bouncing around the Fountain Blue a lot.
- 25:13Dayna Roselli: Um, so that was cool.
- 25:14Dayna Roselli: And then you and I actually uh missed lat uh when this runs last night's like preview, media preview kind of soft opening because we had to get up early for these live shots around the country and we couldn't make it, but we are going to get there because I look forward to seeing this.
- 25:29Dayna Roselli: It sounds great, and I love that they're doing something with the Azul space.
- 25:33Sean McAllister: Oh, yeah, for sure.
- 25:34Dayna Roselli: It looks nice.
- 25:35Sean McAllister: Yeah, so that's a great addition over there at Fountain Blue.
- 25:39Dayna Roselli: Well, we just mentioned Tom Brady.
- 25:41Dayna Roselli: Let's talk about more celebrities coming up now in Celebrity News with a Vegas twist.
- 25:48Dayna Roselli: All right, we head back over to Lotus of Siam.
- 25:51Dayna Roselli: The original location is back open, which is super exciting.
- 25:55Dayna Roselli: We told you that Oprah had visited the other location down the road a few months back, and now BTS stopped by the new location.
- 26:05Dayna Roselli: Uh, Lotus of Siam posted a Instagram and said thank you to V, J Hope, and all the members of BTS for always visiting Lotus of Siam when they're in town.
- 26:14Dayna Roselli: Posted a picture that uh V actually shared on his page.
- 26:19Dayna Roselli: And so um members of the army were there, and I guess a lot of fun was had.
- 26:24Sean McAllister: Oh, I bet it was.
- 26:26Sean McAllister: That was really cool.
- 26:26Sean McAllister: I mean, BTS kind of took over Las Vegas.
- 26:30Sean McAllister: There was a marquee takeover, they did four shows uh at Allegiance Stadium over Memorial Day weekend, the long weekend, um, and tons of people.
- 26:41Sean McAllister: I know my uh social media feed was just flooded with all the people who went to the concert and who were taking in every bit of BTS-ness that was happening around Las Vegas.
- 26:56Sean McAllister: There were specialty drinks, specialty menus, photo ops.
- 27:01Sean McAllister: Everything.
- 27:02Sean McAllister: Everything.
- 27:02Dayna Roselli: I mean, they even had like, yeah, immersive experiences at the museum Arte Museum and all sorts of stuff.
- 27:08Dayna Roselli: Did you mention that already?
- 27:09Dayna Roselli: No, not yet.
- 27:10Sean McAllister: But that was crazy popular.
- 27:12Sean McAllister: Huge line for that.
- 27:14Dayna Roselli: In case you're curious of what V ordered, they put that down.
- 27:17Dayna Roselli: You ready?
- 27:18Dayna Roselli: V ordered the famous crispy garlic prawns.
- 27:21Sean McAllister: Oh, those are delicious.
- 27:23Dayna Roselli: Pad say ooh.
- 27:24Dayna Roselli: I don't know if I said that right.
- 27:25Dayna Roselli: I'm sorry.
- 27:26Dayna Roselli: EW.
- 27:27Dayna Roselli: Um, and sticky rice.
- 27:29Dayna Roselli: Another favorite is the Pooh Pad Pong Kari.
- 27:34Dayna Roselli: So what they posted pictures of all of it, and it looks absolutely delicious, and I'm starving, so I need to put that away.
- 27:41Sean McAllister: Lotus of Siam is fantastic.
- 27:43Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 27:43Dayna Roselli: So welcome back.
- 27:44Dayna Roselli: I'm glad the original location over there.
- 27:45Dayna Roselli: Commercial center, just off East Sahara, is back open.
- 27:48Dayna Roselli: Hey, uh, we were at Caesars, as I said, the Vanderpump Hotel the other day, and we were talking with some folks from Caesars, and they were talking about what a pleasure it was to have the hacks crew um film this season.
- 27:58Dayna Roselli: They filmed a lot in Las Vegas for this final season.
- 28:01Dayna Roselli: And I just wanted to say it's always nice to hear that people are great to work with when you love a show.
- 28:05Dayna Roselli: And they said they were fabulous.
- 28:07Sean McAllister: Yeah, everyone from the on-camera uh talent, the stars of the show to all the behind-the-scenes folks who make the show happen.
- 28:16Sean McAllister: Um, they said it was an absolute joy having them here and working with them.
- 28:20Sean McAllister: Super easy to work with.
- 28:22Sean McAllister: I just finished the uh finale last night.
- 28:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's so good.
- 28:26Dayna Roselli: So I cried.
- 28:28Dayna Roselli: I right you don't want to give it away, but I definitely the ending shot with Vegas and the drone.
- 28:33Dayna Roselli: Ugh, they really did Vegas well in the show.
- 28:36Sean McAllister: And so and what's great about it is it wasn't fake Las Vegas on a soundstage somewhere else.
- 28:42Sean McAllister: They came here, they found some really great, unique places to film.
- 28:49Sean McAllister: A lot at Fountain Blue, there was a lot at Caesars, the Bellagio Fountains were in there, Carbone Riviera.
- 28:56Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 28:56Sean McAllister: Um, those martinis look great when they were sitting and having that Martin at Carbone.
- 29:00Sean McAllister: I was like, oh man.
- 29:02Sean McAllister: And the view isn't too bad either.
- 29:04Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 29:04Dayna Roselli: My friend's coming into town next weekend, and he said, Listen, I want to go to Carbone.
- 29:08Dayna Roselli: I haven't been yet.
- 29:09Dayna Roselli: So I'm like, all right, you know, I'll go.
- 29:12Dayna Roselli: Let's do it.
- 29:12Dayna Roselli: Let's do it.
- 29:13Dayna Roselli: So I'm I'll stay tuned for that.
- 29:15Sean McAllister: Oh, that'll be great.
- 29:16Sean McAllister: And it was, it was uh, and hacks that was the final, the finale series finale.
- 29:23Sean McAllister: So no more hacks, but um you're right.
- 29:28Sean McAllister: They did do Vegas well in this final season.
- 29:30Dayna Roselli: They did.
- 29:30Dayna Roselli: They just did, yeah, they did it right.
- 29:32Dayna Roselli: Just something about it didn't feel it didn't feel I mean, it was funny, but it didn't feel forced and super fake.
- 29:39Dayna Roselli: No, it was just, I don't know.
- 29:40Dayna Roselli: The Diva opened, which was with the plaza, right?
- 29:43Dayna Roselli: Yeah, yeah.
- 29:44Dayna Roselli: That was great.
- 29:44Dayna Roselli: I mean, a lot of it's nice to see everyone get, you know, their credit in the in such a popular, you know, award-winning show.
- 29:52Sean McAllister: For sure.
- 29:53Sean McAllister: And like you just mentioned, it wasn't just properties and locations on the Las Vegas Strip.
- 30:00Sean McAllister: They went downtown, they went out to a few different places outside of the immediate valley.
- 30:07Sean McAllister: So it was it was really good to see that.
- 30:09Dayna Roselli: And hey, another celebrity sighting, my friend was over at the Wynn uh and said they saw Kevin Hart come out of Zero Bond, the new, you know, private members-only club.
- 30:18Dayna Roselli: And then I was looking at his Instagram, and he had done a whole weekend in Vegas that he needed to recover.
- 30:24Dayna Roselli: Um, he was out and about all over.
- 30:25Dayna Roselli: I think I saw him at Omnia Day Club.
- 30:27Dayna Roselli: I think he was playing golf with Usher, maybe or something.
- 30:30Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 30:31Dayna Roselli: It was a whole thing.
- 30:32Dayna Roselli: Anyway, always fun to see uh people in town.
- 30:34Dayna Roselli: And obviously, we had the uh American Music Awards here.
- 30:37Dayna Roselli: I was out of town in Panama, but seems like it went off without a you know, a hitch and uh a lot of different performers, new kids on the block look fabulous.
- 30:45Dayna Roselli: I saw their performance, they're so good.
- 30:47Dayna Roselli: Man, yeah.
- 30:48Sean McAllister: So they just have the best time.
- 30:49Dayna Roselli: They do, and they're coming back here to park MGM this summer, so get it while it's hot.
- 30:54Dayna Roselli: Their show's great because they said after this run, they announced you know, they're extending.
- 30:58Dayna Roselli: I think they're back in the fall and all that, but then after that, they might tour a little bit.
- 31:02Dayna Roselli: But Donnie said, you know, the door's open to come back.
- 31:05Sean McAllister: Well, it better be.
- 31:06Sean McAllister: The door has had better always be open for new kids, right?
- 31:09Sean McAllister: And backstreet for for that matter.
- 31:11Sean McAllister: Yes, because they've both become I don't know, I feel like they've become staples of Vegas Entertainment these days.
- 31:18SPEAKER_02: Agree, agree.
- 31:19Sean McAllister: This era of Vegas, anyhow.
