- 0:14Speaker 1: goal line. He throws it into the end zone. Touchdown,
- 0:17Speaker 1: Saint Hawks. It's Michael Bumpas with a diving catch in
- 0:21Speaker 1: the end zone. Our ten yard touchdown reception for Puppus
- 0:26Speaker 1: and the kid out of Washington State has found himself
- 0:29Speaker 1: a place on this team. Powered by Seahawks dot Com.
- 0:34Speaker 1: What of twelves? This is Hawk Talk Recap edition. The
- 0:37Speaker 1: Seahawks beat the forty nine ers twenty six to twenty
- 0:40Speaker 1: three down in Arizona. They get it done to finish
- 0:43Speaker 1: the season twelve and four, twelve wins for the fifth
- 0:46Speaker 1: time in franchise history. But let's talk about what happened.
- 0:50Speaker 1: See what had happened at First World. What had happened
- 0:55Speaker 1: was on Hawk Talk Nasa Choe. It wasn't pretty, but
- 1:01Speaker 1: the Hawks got it done. Now the offense seemed to
- 1:04Speaker 1: it took a while to get going. I described the
- 1:06Speaker 1: offense as my mom's like ninety five scored back in
- 1:10Speaker 1: the day. Okay, we got to we had to warm
- 1:13Speaker 1: that thing up. It wouldn't turn over at times. That's
- 1:16Speaker 1: what it felt like. The offense went through. You look
- 1:17Speaker 1: at the drive chart, first time punt, punt, field goal,
- 1:20Speaker 1: field goal, punt, into the half punt punt. It didn't
- 1:23Speaker 1: get going until the fourth quarter. Something about the fourth
- 1:25Speaker 1: quarter and Russell Wilson and the Seahawks team, they just
- 1:29Speaker 1: seemed to get it done. So it wasn't pretty. You
- 1:31Speaker 1: got the W twelve and four. What are your thoughts? Well,
- 1:34Speaker 1: that's the thing man too, is Yes, of course it
- 1:36Speaker 1: didn't look great to start, but you know what Pete says,
- 1:38Speaker 1: can you win the game the first quarter? Can you
- 1:40Speaker 1: win game the second quarter? Can we win game the
- 1:42Speaker 1: third quarter? No? Can you win in the fourth. That's
- 1:44Speaker 1: exactly what we saw on Sunday. Yeah, you'd like it
- 1:46Speaker 1: to look better. Yeah, you're scoreboard watching as we were
- 1:49Speaker 1: as the game was going on, checking on what was
- 1:50Speaker 1: going on in Green Bay, checking on what's going on
- 1:52Speaker 1: in New Orleans. Those guys obviously didn't do us any favors.
- 1:56Speaker 1: So if the seatings stayed the same, and like you mentioned,
- 1:59Speaker 1: the fourth quart with things just flipped the script man,
- 2:01Speaker 1: and we've seen it so many times from Russell Wilson
- 2:03Speaker 1: in his career. They were down sixteen to six with
- 2:05Speaker 1: fourteen minutes and they, like you mentioned, they've done nothing.
- 2:08Speaker 1: But then, of course, in true Russell Wilson fashion engineers
- 2:11Speaker 1: three straight touchdown drives and they get that twenty six
- 2:13Speaker 1: twenty three victory. Tyler Lockett, Baby, let's go. Everyone's asking
- 2:18Speaker 1: where sixteen man? Why's Tyler Locket not getting involved? And
- 2:21Speaker 1: they kind of force fed him early. They had some
- 2:23Speaker 1: motives behind it. They want to make sure my man
- 2:25Speaker 1: gets the receptions record, so they did that. But that
- 2:28Speaker 1: got him going, and I was excited to see it
- 2:30Speaker 1: because you're gonna need sixteen the ball out. You have
- 2:32Speaker 1: two clutch touchdowns, one touchdown back of the end zone
- 2:35Speaker 1: where he was diving, has to get under it and
- 2:37Speaker 1: then want to seal the game over the shoulder. I'm like,
- 2:40Speaker 1: did the forty nine is not watch film? You know
- 2:42Speaker 1: this is gonna happen. Fourth down in the red zone.
- 2:45Speaker 1: They're going to the corner to lock him. Ask Pet Carrol,
- 2:47Speaker 1: I'm like, were you surprised they got man in that situation?
- 2:49Speaker 1: Because they've been doing well playing zone, but the forty
- 2:52Speaker 1: nine is rolled the dice. Shoddy was prepared. He thought
- 2:55Speaker 1: he was gonna get this look. He ran the perfect concept,
- 2:57Speaker 1: look like a mesh concept, got locked the ball. We're
- 2:59Speaker 1: gonna about that play. I'm a little later. But a
- 3:02Speaker 1: lot of things happened this game, right. Russell Wilson continued
- 3:07Speaker 1: to stack up his franchise touchdowns record, also passed Dan
- 3:11Speaker 1: Marino with the most touchdown the first nine seasons. DK
- 3:15Speaker 1: surpasses large and when it comes to his receiving yards
- 3:18Speaker 1: and then lock it doing his thing. It wasn't a
- 3:21Speaker 1: pretty game, but some beautiful things happened. As far as
- 3:24Speaker 1: personal accolades, yeah, no question about it. And while those
- 3:27Speaker 1: personal accolades were happening, we had scoring drives eight play
- 3:30Speaker 1: seventy five yards of fourteen play eighty five yard drive
- 3:33Speaker 1: and then three play seventeen yard drive after we got
- 3:35Speaker 1: the fumble forced play bens to Mayoa. But no, I
- 3:38Speaker 1: mean it was kind of good. Things happened offensively happen.
- 3:41Speaker 1: We checked off some records there for sure. On the
- 3:43Speaker 1: defensive side of the ball, it started great, man. They
- 3:46Speaker 1: four straight punts, exactly what we expected. Them to do
- 3:49Speaker 1: against CJ be third in that four diners offense is
- 3:52Speaker 1: banged up as they were, then it kind of got
- 3:54Speaker 1: a little dicey after that. The forty nine ers scored
- 3:56Speaker 1: of their next four drives, three straight field goals and
- 3:59Speaker 1: then a touchdown. But like they've done all season, when
- 4:02Speaker 1: they needed it the most and they need to get
- 4:03Speaker 1: a stop, they got it done. They forced they got
- 4:06Speaker 1: to stop. Seahawks, came back down and scored again. Then
- 4:09Speaker 1: at the end of the game, after they forced a plunt,
- 4:11Speaker 1: they forced a fumble with the strip sacked by Bets
- 4:13Speaker 1: and Maoa forty and Irons get a garbage touchdown late
- 4:16Speaker 1: in the game. The game was ready over at that point.
- 4:18Speaker 1: So this defense has been playing well for a month.
- 4:20Speaker 1: We've been talking about this since week eleven, how much
- 4:22Speaker 1: they've changed how they've been playing. So it was good
- 4:25Speaker 1: to see them continue to do that. And honestly, man,
- 4:28Speaker 1: I just love that the confidence is still there. Doesn't
- 4:31Speaker 1: matter how either side of the ball is playing when
- 4:34Speaker 1: we need to make a play, Russell Wilson comes from
- 4:36Speaker 1: the fourth quarter, doesn't matter what the defense looks like
- 4:38Speaker 1: throughout the day, but if it's late in the game,
- 4:40Speaker 1: then you get a stop and they create a turnover,
- 4:42Speaker 1: they're gonna come up with it and do it. And
- 4:43Speaker 1: also bump big ups to Russell Wilson for taking care
- 4:47Speaker 1: of his boy. Demo swag gets you that one hundred thousand,
- 4:51Speaker 1: Get you that honey k Demo you deserve if baby
- 4:54Speaker 1: six touchdowns four hundred plus yards. This guy's is a
- 4:57Speaker 1: big part of this team. Not to show us how
- 4:59Speaker 1: close this team is. Right, they didn't like Demo if
- 5:01Speaker 1: they weren't riding for each other, like yeah, man, I'm
- 5:04Speaker 1: gonna take this knee. But now they made sure his
- 5:06Speaker 1: boy got his money. Honeycase and that to MoMA Demos
- 5:08Speaker 1: send that to Mom's all right, let's talk about these
- 5:10Speaker 1: play makers. Playmakers alright, first play Amaker. We got Tyler
- 5:26Speaker 1: Lockett twelve receptions, ninety yards and two touchdowns. Tyler Locker
- 5:31Speaker 1: bro Bobby English record for receptions in the season. Bobby's
- 5:34Speaker 1: record was ninety four. He finished the day with a
- 5:36Speaker 1: hundred on the season. He's the only SEOL player to
- 5:39Speaker 1: ever have a hundred receptions. One hundred receptions in college.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I had two hundred receptions in four years. This two
- 5:46Speaker 1: got one hundred in sixteen games. It's impressive. It was
- 5:50Speaker 1: nice to see. It couldn't happen to a better guy.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Tyler Locke is one of the nicest guys I've ever
- 5:54Speaker 1: met in my life. Pete Crow said before the game.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Locke is like, Hey, don't worry about my records. You know,
- 5:59Speaker 1: it's all good. I would have been like a Pete,
- 6:01Speaker 1: I need seven of those things, man, I need to
- 6:03Speaker 1: get this record. I just like Tyler Lockett as a
- 6:06Speaker 1: person and as the player. And the great thing about
- 6:08Speaker 1: it too, is like to get a hundred receptions when
- 6:10Speaker 1: you play with DK Metcalf on the same offense, that's
- 6:14Speaker 1: really impressive. Just to get that many targets, that many receptions.
- 6:17Speaker 1: We've talked about Tyler his whole career. Typically in most games,
- 6:20Speaker 1: if he has twelve receptions, he was probably targeted twelve
- 6:23Speaker 1: times or thirteen, and if it was thirteen, it was
- 6:26Speaker 1: because Russell had to throw it went away, not because
- 6:28Speaker 1: he dropped it, not because the deep death has a
- 6:30Speaker 1: backman a good play. I mean, Tyler Locke is just
- 6:32Speaker 1: so efficient. Tyder career high touchdowns with ten on the season,
- 6:36Speaker 1: and now it's back to back thousand yards seasons for
- 6:38Speaker 1: Locke's becoming the sixth player in franchise history to do so.
- 6:41Speaker 1: And when you think about it, because you see all
- 6:43Speaker 1: these gaddi numbers throughout the league. You know, whether it's
- 6:46Speaker 1: stuff on digs, whether it's Julio Jones, whether it's Hopkins.
- 6:49Speaker 1: So you see, so I think fans are a lot less.
- 6:52Speaker 1: They're desensitized almost to what a thousand yards is. And
- 6:55Speaker 1: just the way this team has been over the last decade,
- 6:57Speaker 1: he run the football so much so this is not
- 6:59Speaker 1: insignificant to have backback thousand yard seasons within this offense.
- 7:02Speaker 1: It's only been done one other time with Brian Blades
- 7:05Speaker 1: and Joey Galloway. So it's definitely something that shouldn't be
- 7:07Speaker 1: lost on with backback pousing yard seasons. The teammates man
- 7:11Speaker 1: DK Metcalf also got some records. On Sunday, d K
- 7:15Speaker 1: he only had three catches for twenty one yards, but
- 7:18Speaker 1: he became the first Seahawk receiver to every reas thirteen
- 7:20Speaker 1: hundred yards and he passes Steve Largen's record when it
- 7:23Speaker 1: comes to yards in the season. This young man is
- 7:27Speaker 1: just on the rise. And I'll always go back to
- 7:29Speaker 1: you because you called it early. I was kind of
- 7:32Speaker 1: like on the fence. Lar all right, he could be
- 7:33Speaker 1: a really good receiver. But no, this guy's a rising star.
- 7:35Speaker 1: He reaches the Pro Bowl, he's breaking franchise records. Tyler
- 7:39Speaker 1: Locket and DK Metcalf one of the top duos in
- 7:42Speaker 1: the NFL. Hopefully these guys play together for a very
- 7:45Speaker 1: long time. Russell Wilson tell me about Russell Man. People
- 7:48Speaker 1: people aren't impressed by Russell, But I like the way
- 7:51Speaker 1: he played yesterday. Yeah. So, of course you look at
- 7:53Speaker 1: the box score. Twenty and thirty six, one hundred and
- 7:55Speaker 1: eighty one yards, two touchdowns. Not something gonna write home
- 7:58Speaker 1: to mom about. But here's when it counts. We call
- 8:01Speaker 1: that winning time. Okay, he was April eleven. In the
- 8:03Speaker 1: fourth quarter, he had scrambles of eleven yards and sixteen yards.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Both touchdown passes came in the fourth quarter. When it's
- 8:09Speaker 1: time to win ball games, Russell Wilson is your guy.
- 8:11Speaker 1: I don't care what has happened in the game. He
- 8:14Speaker 1: could be oh for forty, they could be down twenty
- 8:18Speaker 1: five points going into fourth quarter, and he's gonna be
- 8:20Speaker 1: confident that they're gonna win. He never waivers. And what
- 8:23Speaker 1: I like about Russ two is we're getting in that
- 8:26Speaker 1: part of the season, especially now we're getting in the playoffs.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Take care of the football. That's number one priority. Pete
- 8:31Speaker 1: always talks about it. It's all about the ball. Russell
- 8:34Speaker 1: was not going to turn the ball over on Sunday.
- 8:36Speaker 1: I think a lot of risks exactly. I think Russell did. Yeah,
- 8:39Speaker 1: And I think a lot of those passes people, you know,
- 8:41Speaker 1: you guys talked to Pete Carroll this morning and he
- 8:43Speaker 1: said a lot of those were just throwaways. Man. You know,
- 8:44Speaker 1: the forty nine ers had a good defense and then
- 8:47Speaker 1: they skiing. You know, they were in good position a
- 8:49Speaker 1: lot of time and throw it away. What he did,
- 8:51Speaker 1: what he needed to do, took care of the football,
- 8:53Speaker 1: and he played well down the stretches. That's what we need.
- 8:55Speaker 1: You mentioned earlier, Tidan Rito for second place with two
- 8:58Speaker 1: hundred and sixty six touchdown passes in the quarterbacks first
- 9:01Speaker 1: nine seasons, also two touchdowns on the day. Russell Wilson
- 9:05Speaker 1: joined Kurt Warner, Tom Brady, and Drew Brees as the
- 9:08Speaker 1: only non first round quarterbacks that they're forty passing touchdowns
- 9:11Speaker 1: in a single season in NFL history. All Russell does
- 9:15Speaker 1: stay within his budget. He got a safe way. He
- 9:17Speaker 1: got one hundred dollars, he's gonna spend ninety five. He
- 9:19Speaker 1: ain't gonna do nothing crazy. Russell Wilson is responsible and
- 9:22Speaker 1: also you mentioned about him in the fourth quarter thirty
- 9:26Speaker 1: five times. He's led a team on game winning drives
- 9:28Speaker 1: thirty five times. I mean, this man is just clutch,
- 9:32Speaker 1: and it might look different. It might look spectacular where
- 9:35Speaker 1: he's throwing the deep ball, or it might be just
- 9:37Speaker 1: a slow grinds where you have to be patient. He
- 9:39Speaker 1: can win games in different ways. We're lucky to have
- 9:42Speaker 1: Russell Wilson as our quarterback. Next playmakers Chris Carson and
- 9:46Speaker 1: Alex Collins. Carson had eleven carres for forty four, two
- 9:50Speaker 1: receptions for thirty nine yards eighty three total yards, and
- 9:53Speaker 1: that's kind of where he's been hovering around. Right. He
- 9:55Speaker 1: hasn't had a breakout game, but he's gonna hold the
- 9:58Speaker 1: defense responsible, he's gonna get the tough yardist and he's
- 10:01Speaker 1: gonna contribute when it comes to the past game then
- 10:03Speaker 1: Alice Collins man, I mean last time he played was
- 10:06Speaker 1: what against the Rams. I think the last time he
- 10:07Speaker 1: shot it back in Week eight. I want to say
- 10:09Speaker 1: week eight or nine, he gets in the game here
- 10:11Speaker 1: and he was a big part of that fourth quarter man.
- 10:14Speaker 1: He had a couple a couple of carries that sealed
- 10:16Speaker 1: the deal. He had five carris for twenty nine yards
- 10:18Speaker 1: and one touchdown. And you can't forget he hit the
- 10:21Speaker 1: river dance on him. You know it was called the
- 10:23Speaker 1: river dance. Am I saying that right? Yeah? It was
- 10:25Speaker 1: a little river dance. He uh. Back when he's in Arkansas,
- 10:28Speaker 1: he made that famous. I remember he there's a story
- 10:30Speaker 1: back in the day if him dancing with some girl
- 10:32Speaker 1: learning how to do a little river dancing. He hit
- 10:34Speaker 1: that little jake at the end. Got to pay there.
- 10:37Speaker 1: It was great to see Alice Collins, especially he jumped
- 10:39Speaker 1: up because of Carl's Hyde was inactive, not because of COVID,
- 10:42Speaker 1: because of another illness. So it's great to see him
- 10:44Speaker 1: get in the end zone and contribute on this offense.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Let's talk about this d line man. Vince Mayo, Rashim Green,
- 10:50Speaker 1: two names that you weren't really expected to count on
- 10:54Speaker 1: this year, and these guys are coming through, especially after
- 10:56Speaker 1: Green suffered an injury during Camp. I believe at a
- 11:00Speaker 1: scrimmage will kind of shut the thing down. A neck injury.
- 11:02Speaker 1: He bounces back. Yeah, three tackles, one sack, one tackle
- 11:05Speaker 1: for loss, two quarterback hits and a forced fumble. And
- 11:08Speaker 1: then Mayoa three tackles, two sacks, one tackle for loss,
- 11:10Speaker 1: one force fumble, one qb him. These guys are active,
- 11:14Speaker 1: especially late, and I think we talked about it before.
- 11:16Speaker 1: It's because they're fresh. They're not asked to play sixty
- 11:19Speaker 1: seventy plays, man to playing about thirty or forty plays.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Nice rotation. When you see these names on the stat sheet,
- 11:25Speaker 1: you know this defense is playing well, you know, and
- 11:27Speaker 1: it's great because everyone on the defensive line is contributing, right.
- 11:29Speaker 1: So Carlos Dunlap kind of when we made that trade,
- 11:32Speaker 1: he kind of ignited this defense a little bit, at
- 11:34Speaker 1: least on the defensive line getting pressure. You know, more
- 11:36Speaker 1: people doing resources make sure he's blocked. So everyone else
- 11:39Speaker 1: kind of started stepping up, right, Because if more people
- 11:41Speaker 1: are winning their individual battles, they're gonna have a good production.
- 11:44Speaker 1: So the fact that Mayo is contributing, the fact that
- 11:46Speaker 1: Rashie Green's contributing, Huna Ford and Brian Mulnay, dun Lap,
- 11:50Speaker 1: Jay Reid hopefully he's okay with that abdominal injury, but
- 11:54Speaker 1: if he isn't, it's good to see the depth that
- 11:55Speaker 1: we have on the defensive line. It's good to see
- 11:57Speaker 1: these guys balling out the big guys up front and
- 12:00Speaker 1: do it without you. Appreciate everything you're doing now, bums
- 12:02Speaker 1: talking about these receivers. We already talked a little bit
- 12:04Speaker 1: about the record breakers. But it was a good, good,
- 12:08Speaker 1: overall day for that receiving corps. Yeah, it was good man.
- 12:11Speaker 1: This lead Uncle Will had one catch, but his catch
- 12:14Speaker 1: was saucy. He made a dude miss okay, uncle Will,
- 12:17Speaker 1: let me let me say something. Jacob Hollister had to catch.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Demo had one hundred thousand dollars catch. Yes, Huney k
- 12:26Speaker 1: off of one catch, that's a good night for you.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Then obviously Lockett with twelve ninety yards DK with three
- 12:32Speaker 1: for twenty one. It was just solid nothing Spectackler, I
- 12:35Speaker 1: mean tire Lockett led the way. It was his turn again.
- 12:38Speaker 1: I can't stress enough. They needed to get sixteen going
- 12:41Speaker 1: before they got into the playoffs. Freddy Swain had a target,
- 12:44Speaker 1: didn't come up with him. I love just seeing eighteen
- 12:46Speaker 1: out there anyway. Freddie Swain. This brings a lot to
- 12:48Speaker 1: this ball club. He's a good ball player. Again, nothing spectackler, man,
- 12:52Speaker 1: ye's got a dub just twelve and four. You know,
- 12:54Speaker 1: all you guys out there, the office needs to do this.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Defense needs to do that twelve and four home playoff game.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Let's get it. We are so spoiled. You know how
- 13:02Speaker 1: many people or this is locker clean out day. Okay,
- 13:05Speaker 1: that's the worst day in the NFL. There's so many
- 13:07Speaker 1: people are thinking about what their offseason gonna look like.
- 13:09Speaker 1: What's the wife doing and going to Cobbo or going
- 13:11Speaker 1: to Hawaii. Know, the Seafs getting ready for a playoff
- 13:14Speaker 1: football game at home, which I love. And one other
- 13:16Speaker 1: thing about demos one hundred thousand dollars catch is first
- 13:20Speaker 1: of all, I love the presence of mine from Russ
- 13:22Speaker 1: and knowing that they could have taken a knee and
- 13:23Speaker 1: get take care of his boy. But also love the
- 13:25Speaker 1: play call, man, because you're up three. Yes, the game
- 13:28Speaker 1: at that point didn't mean anything, even the Seawks would
- 13:30Speaker 1: have lost. You don't want to end on a note
- 13:31Speaker 1: like that, but it's a play call, bump. He used
- 13:33Speaker 1: to run this at Monroe High School instead of handing
- 13:36Speaker 1: the ball off. It's a little touch pass, so if
- 13:38Speaker 1: it's if he drops it, it's incomplete. So it's just
- 13:40Speaker 1: a heads up play, heads up call safe, got the
- 13:42Speaker 1: man his payday. Savvy. That's a savvy play right there.
- 13:46Speaker 1: All right, let's break down. Tyler lock is game selling
- 13:50Speaker 1: touchdown with about two and a half miens. Let's see her.
- 13:52Speaker 1: They're gonna try get him to jump off sides. No,
- 13:54Speaker 1: they're gonna staff the ball. Let's just coming. Russ has
- 13:57Speaker 1: time trolls man out there locking back to catch Touchstown Seahawks.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Why not go back to the guy that's got you
- 14:05Speaker 1: this far all day to day. Tyler Lockett, running for
- 14:10Speaker 1: his life across the back of the end zone, makes
- 14:13Speaker 1: the catch. Russ has just enough time to feather that
- 14:17Speaker 1: touch pass. It's a completion for a touchdown. The Seahawks
- 14:21Speaker 1: on top eighteen sixteen, fourth down, I mean, this was
- 14:27Speaker 1: the game right here, clutch. Now they are on the
- 14:30Speaker 1: four yard line. They get a man look and Chris
- 14:33Speaker 1: Carson does a great job of picking up this blitz
- 14:35Speaker 1: right here, like doesn't dominate. The blizz, doesn't just get
- 14:37Speaker 1: him out the play, but does enough to allow Russell
- 14:40Speaker 1: to buy time for this mesh concept to work. Tyler
- 14:42Speaker 1: Lockett starts on the right side of the formation. DC's
- 14:45Speaker 1: on the left. You got Demo on the left as well.
- 14:48Speaker 1: DK and Locket are gonna mesh around the goal line,
- 14:50Speaker 1: and then you have just in case Demo work in
- 14:52Speaker 1: the back of the end zone. I in case Russell
- 14:54Speaker 1: has to toss one up. But this is just Locke
- 14:57Speaker 1: un faster than you. I'm quicker than you, and I
- 15:00Speaker 1: worked the back at his end zone like nobody's business.
- 15:03Speaker 1: I love the concept when they when I saw a
- 15:05Speaker 1: man in this situation, I'm like, it's over, especially if
- 15:08Speaker 1: they run this mesh concept. I thought the Niners were
- 15:10Speaker 1: gonna stay in his zone and kind of make Russell
- 15:12Speaker 1: have to fire one in there. But that's not what happened.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Tyler Lockett comes up clutch steals again. Yeah, they decided
- 15:18Speaker 1: to bring pressure with Fred Warner. And you made a
- 15:19Speaker 1: good point, Chris Carson. The nice little blitz pick up
- 15:22Speaker 1: and as a running back, you don't need to kill
- 15:23Speaker 1: the guy. He just need to get in his way
- 15:24Speaker 1: and make sure he doesn't sack your quarterback. And you
- 15:26Speaker 1: talk about that mesh concept. When they cross DK metcalf
- 15:29Speaker 1: attracts so much attention. The safety goes with him, the
- 15:33Speaker 1: corner on that side goes with him, the linebackers underneath
- 15:35Speaker 1: Demo occupies the other corner, and then Tyler Man. We've
- 15:38Speaker 1: talked about this from from camp Man. We love running
- 15:41Speaker 1: corners in the end zone with Tyler Lockett and it's
- 15:44Speaker 1: worked every single year. Team just can't stop it. And
- 15:46Speaker 1: like you mentioned, it's really hard to go man in
- 15:48Speaker 1: this situation because right there, the corners outside leverage on
- 15:53Speaker 1: Tyler Lockett. He doesn't want to get beat to the
- 15:55Speaker 1: back of the end zone. He was gonna get be
- 15:56Speaker 1: it outside, which means he is already at a disadvantage.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Tyler just nice stutter step runs across and no corner's
- 16:03Speaker 1: gonna win that battle. If you're outside leverage and Tyler
- 16:05Speaker 1: Lockett is running a corner across the field, there's you
- 16:07Speaker 1: have no chance. And Russell Wilson, as Fred Warner's getting closer,
- 16:10Speaker 1: just a night perfect touch bass throws it to only
- 16:13Speaker 1: where Tyler Lockett can catch and of course finish a
- 16:15Speaker 1: little toe taps wag. We've seen those who do it
- 16:18Speaker 1: thousands of times make it looks easy. Tyler Lockett is
- 16:21Speaker 1: my spirit animal. I Warren Uber sixteen. He Warres number sixteen.
- 16:25Speaker 1: I was, I'm five eleven. Small dude. He's a small dude.
- 16:27Speaker 1: He's getting it done. Love seeing Lockett do what he'd do.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Time for the best formation known to full ball. Here
- 16:37Speaker 1: comes the Seahawk offense onto the field and the Vikings
- 16:40Speaker 1: defense trudging out there knowing that one kneel down and
- 16:45Speaker 1: the Seahawks are gonna wind the clock down and win
- 16:48Speaker 1: this one. It's the victory formation on Hawk Talk, victory
- 16:52Speaker 1: formation it is. The Seahawks have been in this formation
- 16:54Speaker 1: twelve times this year, as you mentioned, only fifth time
- 16:56Speaker 1: in franchise history where the Seahawks have won twelve games.
- 16:59Speaker 1: The last three times the Seahawks have won twelve games,
- 17:01Speaker 1: they went to the big game, the Super Bowl. And
- 17:04Speaker 1: here's the thing, man, it's the NFL. Do not apologize
- 17:06Speaker 1: for wins. There's no style points. At the end of
- 17:08Speaker 1: the day, your resume is what your win loss record is.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Nothing else matters. At the end of the day, the
- 17:13Speaker 1: Seahawk got the w finished the season strong twelve and four.
- 17:17Speaker 1: I think we won six of seven down the stretch,
- 17:19Speaker 1: and now we got a full head of seam headed
- 17:20Speaker 1: in the playoffs. I love at twelve and four can
- 17:23Speaker 1: complain with that, and hey, big up City offensive game plan,
- 17:26Speaker 1: making sure that Lockey got his, making sure Dk got his,
- 17:30Speaker 1: and Russell discontinues to pad his stats and become one
- 17:33Speaker 1: of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. I love that
- 17:35Speaker 1: they forced the lock of the football, get him his
- 17:37Speaker 1: seven receptions early, and not only did it help him individually,
- 17:41Speaker 1: it helped the team. It opened up the game. He
- 17:43Speaker 1: was clutched towards the end of the end of the
- 17:44Speaker 1: game as well. Like we mentioned, twelve catches ninety yards.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Like the game plan, a patient game plan, patience. There's
- 17:51Speaker 1: gonna be times where they can open it up, but
- 17:53Speaker 1: they're patient last night in the work. Yeah, no, it's
- 17:55Speaker 1: great to see that with Locke, and like you mentioned,
- 17:57Speaker 1: we're gonna need him down the stretch. We're gonna need
- 17:59Speaker 1: him in this playoff frunds. He needs to be going.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Just let's DK metcalf and on the other side of
- 18:03Speaker 1: the ball like they have all season. Man, this defense,
- 18:04Speaker 1: they got important stops and clutch stops when the game
- 18:07Speaker 1: was on the line. They got force the pon when
- 18:09Speaker 1: they needed to force a fumble, when they needed to
- 18:11Speaker 1: in this defense. That's all they've done. They played amazing
- 18:14Speaker 1: football the last month and a half, eight weeks, and
- 18:16Speaker 1: when games were on the line, like they're doing all season,
- 18:18Speaker 1: they come up big time for the postseason. This is
- 18:21Speaker 1: what you work for. You set yourself up. You're twelve
- 18:23Speaker 1: and four, you got a home game. Rams are coming
- 18:26Speaker 1: into town. Beat him through times now, Peace said, I don't.
- 18:29Speaker 1: I don't fall for that. Oh it's hard to be
- 18:31Speaker 1: the team three times in a season nine eight. Get
- 18:33Speaker 1: it done. Aaron Donald gave bullets and board material. I
- 18:36Speaker 1: know they don't listen to this podcast, so I'm gonna
- 18:38Speaker 1: talk noise for him too. Let's go, Aaron Donald, Let's
- 18:41Speaker 1: get this thing done. Signed for the postseason. Yeah, no
- 18:43Speaker 1: question about Aaron Donald that you wanted to see us.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Where're gonna get the Seahawks? Man and Aaron Donald on
- 18:48Speaker 1: the Rams defensive line has had a lot of success
- 18:50Speaker 1: against the Seahawks over time, but the Seahawks got him
- 18:53Speaker 1: figured out. Man, I think again. We'll talk about this
- 18:55Speaker 1: a lot on the preview podcast. Seahawks don't turn the
- 18:57Speaker 1: ball over. They didn't win this football game. The Rams
- 18:59Speaker 1: got a whole lot of other question marks on their offense,
- 19:02Speaker 1: so you might want to worry about that side of
- 19:03Speaker 1: the ball first. It's that time of the year. Survive
- 19:06Speaker 1: in advance reminder, guys. Find complete coverage of the Seahawks
