- 0:30Speaker 1: private jets. That's what do you do? I don't know
- 0:32Speaker 1: what you're talking about. You do? I see Instagram? It's
- 0:37Speaker 1: all your Instagram friend, I saw you. It was a
- 0:39Speaker 1: music video. No allegedly. Where where are you this week?
- 0:45Speaker 1: B T? Where did you go this week? Come? I
- 0:48Speaker 1: was in Florida. I had to shoot a commercial because
- 0:51Speaker 1: I'm doing a brand ambassador deal with this company. So
- 0:53Speaker 1: you know, I'm just out here trying to get my coins.
- 0:55Speaker 1: You feel me? I love it brand ambassador. I would
- 0:58Speaker 1: ask O c T how she doing, but I would
- 1:00Speaker 1: rather to hear much about the Brandon dust and the
- 1:03Speaker 1: ship Solo. What you're doing henlous life of Sue Solo? Well,
- 1:08Speaker 1: I'm just trying to get Like BT, I haven't been
- 1:10Speaker 1: on a private jet before. So hint, hint, if you
- 1:12Speaker 1: feel like calling that, ain't got to let me know, say,
- 1:14Speaker 1: I'll break the Hennessy. We've been enjoying ourselves though, just
- 1:17Speaker 1: trying to get my bearings with like the thirty jobs
- 1:19Speaker 1: that I feel like I have right now, You've got
- 1:21Speaker 1: a lot of jobs. I do feel like I have
- 1:22Speaker 1: a lot of jobs. But they all go together. They
- 1:24Speaker 1: all go together, you see, Like Hennessey can support this event,
- 1:27Speaker 1: this events. You know, it's it's a fig I like
- 1:29Speaker 1: how you move Yeah, smart, not hard. Okay, let's get
- 1:33Speaker 1: into in case you missed it, So best friends Katanji
- 1:40Speaker 1: Brown Jackson. Jackson is now officially confirmed as the first
- 1:43Speaker 1: black female Supreme Court justice. People don't seem to understand
- 1:49Speaker 1: why this is a big deal, So I'm a fan again.
- 1:53Speaker 1: She'll be the first black female justice in the Court's history,
- 1:56Speaker 1: and therest justice in decades to have served as a
- 1:59Speaker 1: public offend herself. Basically, it just seems like she's very
- 2:02Speaker 1: well educated, she knows what it's like on both sides,
- 2:05Speaker 1: or will know what it's like on both sides, and
- 2:08Speaker 1: she seems the most eligible to possibly help make change.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I'm just saying like, throughout this administration. They're getting some
- 2:15Speaker 1: things right. You know, we're the first black woman vice president,
- 2:18Speaker 1: you know, the first black woman justice. You know, if
- 2:21Speaker 1: it's super in court, like what you want to tell
- 2:25Speaker 1: Joe Popping right now? What did you take my money?
- 2:30Speaker 1: But where's the vice president? Then? Where's she? What's the
- 2:32Speaker 1: next story? Yeah? Because I mean they might be putting
- 2:36Speaker 1: people in possess I mean she did. She did read
- 2:40Speaker 1: the confirmation with a head. She working, though she working.
- 2:45Speaker 1: All this Outsina is also working. He just released a
- 2:48Speaker 1: new to Hong call Shake the World Donations. She suddenly
- 2:52Speaker 1: come back for me and crops and around, just get
- 3:02Speaker 1: it till a y'all. August, I've seen a fan. I
- 3:09Speaker 1: feel like August seeing you need to sat down. I
- 3:12Speaker 1: am in August. I'll seeing a fan. I'll consider myself
- 3:15Speaker 1: a fan. I do enjoy his music when I know
- 3:16Speaker 1: about it. It just kind of seems like he releases
- 3:18Speaker 1: stuff and it's music just not consistent, like right, and
- 3:23Speaker 1: it's just it's just mighty funny to me how it's
- 3:25Speaker 1: come around now, you know, with the Smith's in the
- 3:29Speaker 1: well not so good light, and he just wanted to
- 3:32Speaker 1: release projects and tell all books and all that I'm
- 3:35Speaker 1: just it's just the timing for me. I just missed
- 3:38Speaker 1: when you know, he was just putting out, you know,
- 3:40Speaker 1: music that didn't pertain nothing else. You know, he had
- 3:43Speaker 1: the short hair, that's what he was doing, this thing,
- 3:45Speaker 1: We had the short hair. When the songs did not
- 3:47Speaker 1: include his entanglement, because he definitely mentioned the entanglement with
- 3:51Speaker 1: in this song as well, I feel like that's the
- 3:52Speaker 1: whole promo for the album August real talk. I'm just
- 3:59Speaker 1: trying to figure out, like how much do you want
- 4:01Speaker 1: to shake the world like my guy? You had the
- 4:04Speaker 1: headlines in the Chokehold all last year, man Kevin Jada
- 4:08Speaker 1: came out about the relationship that Jada actually called an entanglement.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Got into an entanglement with a guess that's what I said,
- 4:15Speaker 1: which in mis means it's a little more than casual.
- 4:18Speaker 1: It was the thing like relationship. Yes, it was a relationship. Yeah.
- 4:22Speaker 1: I always thought that situation was just kind of like,
- 4:25Speaker 1: you know, weird because they never they never came out,
- 4:29Speaker 1: you know that they were you know, until they did
- 4:32Speaker 1: they did or whatever. We just used to see him
- 4:34Speaker 1: hanging out with the family. I thought he was friends
- 4:37Speaker 1: with her son. Do you think you know what I'm saying,
- 4:41Speaker 1: Like because the way it looked, because like the pictures,
- 4:44Speaker 1: he would like hang out with everybody. So I always
- 4:46Speaker 1: just thought he was just friends with you know, with
- 4:48Speaker 1: her son or something kind of like when Lori Harvey
- 4:51Speaker 1: was dating, did he somethinge um start out to Loria Harvey?
- 4:57Speaker 1: You know Michael B Jordan. They said, Michael, get that
- 4:59Speaker 1: hair back on your hand. Listen. They are doing their things,
- 5:01Speaker 1: so listen. On Twitter, user actually said something to August.
- 5:05Speaker 1: This girl said, when we're shaking my bed, and he replied,
- 5:09Speaker 1: I ain't having sex. I gotta keep harnessing my energy
- 5:12Speaker 1: and life force to continue suthoning energy for all the
- 5:15Speaker 1: spells that have been casted. You know a lot of
- 5:18Speaker 1: people believe in like, you know, voodoo, and you know,
- 5:20Speaker 1: because he's from from New Orleans and that's it's a
- 5:23Speaker 1: very big thing in New Orleans cultures. As far as
- 5:25Speaker 1: I understand, I apologize if I'm wrong, please yea. So
- 5:33Speaker 1: people thought he was tripping, like they thought something was
- 5:35Speaker 1: wrong with him, So sources reached out to verify if
- 5:38Speaker 1: his tweets were actually his tweets, and he said, yeah,
- 5:41Speaker 1: I said what I said, that's that's normal for people
- 5:43Speaker 1: to you know, feel like somebody casting spells and stuff.
- 5:48Speaker 1: I mean, that's what he's doing. So so he said
- 5:52Speaker 1: he's not having sex so he can harness his energy.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Is that something that you feel like you might ever
- 5:57Speaker 1: need to do in your life? Bet if need be
- 6:00Speaker 1: absinent to you know, you know I was using the Germans.
- 6:04Speaker 1: What'd you say? What you say? Do men hardness their
- 6:10Speaker 1: energy by refraining from sex? I mean I don't. I
- 6:13Speaker 1: don't know about everybody, but I know that I feel
- 6:16Speaker 1: like I feel like, you know, sometimes it does make
- 6:21Speaker 1: you more focused, you know, when you when you are
- 6:25Speaker 1: away from women and you know, not indulging in sexual activities.
- 6:29Speaker 1: You know, I find myself, at least for me, more
- 6:32Speaker 1: focused and you know, have more of a clear mind. Um,
- 6:36Speaker 1: you know, but I can't say for everybody. I don't
- 6:38Speaker 1: know about you know, all these long periods of times,
- 6:40Speaker 1: you know, I don't know about now. I don't know
- 6:44Speaker 1: about all that in a long period of time, I
- 6:47Speaker 1: got well. Russell waited for his marriage to Sierra. He did.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Is that why Channing Crowder is calling him a cornball? Yeah?
- 6:58Speaker 1: That will be with him. Russell Squaire had she she
- 7:06Speaker 1: has a good situation. But she was you gonna leave future,
- 7:09Speaker 1: She's get with Russell Wilson. I think that's future and everybody, Yeah,
- 7:18Speaker 1: that's true. Everybody has a top. You're gonna leave future
- 7:21Speaker 1: and get Russell when you get so god damned square
- 7:24Speaker 1: and I love him on the field. He's a square.
- 7:27Speaker 1: He's a square. He go from this level of toxicity.
- 7:30Speaker 1: You just want something stable. You want the guy that
- 7:33Speaker 1: was sitting with that girl with that big old mom
- 7:35Speaker 1: at the draft, that was laughing and you knew she
- 7:37Speaker 1: deserved to be with the goofball. You want you want
- 7:40Speaker 1: to get goofball. That was that was messed up because
- 7:45Speaker 1: you can't say a man is a cornball because of
- 7:48Speaker 1: how he is in life and how he treats his woman.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna say this. You cannot say a man is
- 7:54Speaker 1: a cornball who has two hundred million dollars. I mean no, no, no, no, no,
- 8:00Speaker 1: no no no no no no. Women can do that.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Women can say I don't care how much money you got,
- 8:06Speaker 1: But as a man, you cannot say another man is
- 8:10Speaker 1: a cornball that got two hundred million dollars. Yes you can.
- 8:14Speaker 1: You can't. If you corny, your corny the money don't
- 8:16Speaker 1: make you un corny. I don't think he's corny. You
- 8:20Speaker 1: think I don't think he's corny. I think it's a
- 8:23Speaker 1: respectable guy. You know what I'm saying. Everybody do things differently.
- 8:26Speaker 1: That's their way. You know what I'm saying. Lead them alone. Yeah,
- 8:29Speaker 1: now with somebody would call me corny if I got two.
- 8:31Speaker 1: His whole point was to me. She she leveled up.
- 8:34Speaker 1: I feel like he said, you don't go from a
- 8:37Speaker 1: future to a Russell Wilson because clearly you have a type.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Now let me tell you something. Your type might not
- 8:43Speaker 1: be the type for you. Just because you have a type,
- 8:45Speaker 1: don't mean your type gonna work out when you're young. Yeah,
- 8:48Speaker 1: you want to date the dope boys in the trap.
- 8:49Speaker 1: You want to have fun, live wild life on the
- 8:51Speaker 1: wild side. What ship they play you on? Off? You're
- 8:54Speaker 1: ready for someone who is same. Like you just said.
- 8:57Speaker 1: You go through periods in your life where you know
- 8:59Speaker 1: you having fun, you outside, you doing your thing, But
- 9:02Speaker 1: there comes a time when you're looking in the mirror
- 9:04Speaker 1: like baby, I'm only gonna be the young, but it's long.
- 9:09Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I need to secure something.
- 9:11Speaker 1: I need to secure my future. And I feel like,
- 9:13Speaker 1: you know, no, puney right, she realized what she was
- 9:17Speaker 1: worth and she decided to be with a man who
- 9:19Speaker 1: was specting that. That's like that. Everybody go through stages
- 9:22Speaker 1: in their life. You know what I'm saying. Shout out
- 9:24Speaker 1: to Russelan Sierra, because baby, somebody pulled up Channing Crowder's
- 9:27Speaker 1: high school photos show ugly. Now since he's talking about bodies,
- 9:36Speaker 1: it ain't no telling how many fifty cent got because
- 9:39Speaker 1: this man would not lead to here and a real
- 9:40Speaker 1: long money. She wants his money here, how much he
- 9:44Speaker 1: got in the bank. And I don't care either if
- 9:46Speaker 1: I if you want me two dollars, I want my
- 9:47Speaker 1: damn to a money, especially when you sued me and
- 9:51Speaker 1: it backfired, I definitely want my money. Okay, But listen,
- 9:56Speaker 1: you guys, it was wrong for him to repost that video.
- 9:59Speaker 1: He not have posted that on his Plassen Internet exactly.
- 10:04Speaker 1: So does that excuse any of this at all? On
- 10:08Speaker 1: the internet? It was, but come on, now, why would
- 10:11Speaker 1: he be We know he is a savage. Okay. I
- 10:15Speaker 1: just think it's heavy enough that she already has someone
- 10:17Speaker 1: that she trust without a video that she did not authorize.
- 10:21Speaker 1: You know, she was hurt. Now I can't understand the argument,
- 10:24Speaker 1: Like everybody, A lot of people reposted it, why fifty
- 10:27Speaker 1: Is it because he has the money? But I think
- 10:29Speaker 1: it's because he has such a big platform that it
- 10:32Speaker 1: it blew it up even more, you know what I mean.
- 10:33Speaker 1: I thought that was kind of tough toever he's gonna
- 10:35Speaker 1: throw a lot, but at this point says he's not
- 10:37Speaker 1: letting up. I heard he had investigated for on your
- 10:40Speaker 1: ass and he wants to bring you to the forefront
- 10:43Speaker 1: so you can pay him his money. Becoming like the
- 10:45Speaker 1: rs keep be talking about garnishing checks and all types. Ship,
- 10:50Speaker 1: I need my money by Monday. Now Shanty is getting
- 10:54Speaker 1: her flowers. She got a star on the Hollywood Walk
- 10:56Speaker 1: of Fame. Like some people are confusings as to how
- 10:59Speaker 1: that happened. But Shanty is very talented. She contributed a lot.
- 11:03Speaker 1: She's kind of young, though. We'll shout out to Shawn
- 11:05Speaker 1: t Man, shout out to my girls, scissors winning that
- 11:09Speaker 1: Grammy Jazz and something we're winning. I love it. I
- 11:12Speaker 1: love it. It's like, yeah, it's the black girl magic
- 11:16Speaker 1: for me. And speaking of black girl magic, we have
- 11:19Speaker 1: a very special guest coming in today. We're gonna be
- 11:21Speaker 1: talking to Coco Jones. If you don't know who she is,
- 11:24Speaker 1: you're about to find out Hillary Banks from Ben Larry. Y'all.
- 11:29Speaker 1: I don't want to give him a season. I just
- 11:30Speaker 1: want to let him know. Y'all need to come right back.
- 11:32Speaker 1: It's Bert right back period. We'll be right back with
- 11:35Speaker 1: more of The Baller Alert Show. Still listening to a
- 11:40Speaker 1: special edition of The Baller Alert Show. It's a special
- 11:43Speaker 1: cloth Alert. Well, you know I could be the person
- 11:45Speaker 1: on your team. I thought you had your own thing
- 11:50Speaker 1: though I do, but when I saw the boost that
- 11:53Speaker 1: you and I both got from one event, I realized
- 11:57Speaker 1: we can do a lot more together than alone. I
- 11:59Speaker 1: don't know Hillary. After a while, just going to upscale
- 12:03Speaker 1: adventisn't get played out, which is why I think you
- 12:08Speaker 1: should buy Kylo out of my influence. Posh, think about it.
- 12:14Speaker 1: We clear out Kylo and we rebrand as this female
- 12:17Speaker 1: forward space Foller Nation. Welcome back to the podcast. Is
- 12:22Speaker 1: your best Friends to solo and listen. We've been talking
- 12:25Speaker 1: about black Girl Magic and we might as well just
- 12:28Speaker 1: keep it going. Ladies and gentlemen, we are talking to
- 12:30Speaker 1: Coco Jones. No, I'm a little but her, because I
- 12:37Speaker 1: came in looking like radio, and since is out here
- 12:39Speaker 1: making her rounds. Okay, she's got the yes. I literally
- 12:44Speaker 1: ran from the studio to go get chat. You see
- 12:46Speaker 1: a little one too, And then I came here. She
- 12:48Speaker 1: did the one to and the three Okay cocko Johns.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Where the hell did you come from? Oh my gosh, Well,
- 12:54Speaker 1: a lot of people know it from Disney, and they
- 12:56Speaker 1: know me from leg Shine, But really, I'm from Tennessee
- 12:59Speaker 1: and I've been singing since before I could talk. Country girl.
- 13:03Speaker 1: My whole my whole life is singing Lebanon, Tennessee. I
- 13:07Speaker 1: never knew there was a Lebanon, Tennessee. Most people, she said,
- 13:14Speaker 1: I was sing every chance in l A and Disney
- 13:18Speaker 1: and all those cool things. You know. I was doing
- 13:21Speaker 1: talent competitions when I was younger, and I just wanted more.
- 13:24Speaker 1: I actually gave like this ghetto little CD than my
- 13:28Speaker 1: mama made on her windows PC. I gave this casting
- 13:30Speaker 1: lady at this huge casting call with like five thousand kids.
- 13:33Speaker 1: A year later, she asked me to be on Disney's
- 13:35Speaker 1: Talent competition. From there, I was auditioning for shows, not
- 13:38Speaker 1: getting them because I was not good then I got
- 13:40Speaker 1: a couple and then from there I got a movie.
- 13:43Speaker 1: And that's when it was like, okay, well most world
- 13:45Speaker 1: is different. Now you're a good thing. You didn't get
- 13:48Speaker 1: finesse because maybe maybe out here for ness and you know,
- 13:51Speaker 1: you go to them small town, they'd be like, yeah,
- 13:52Speaker 1: you want to be maybe a star. But my mom
- 13:59Speaker 1: is un and as of well, she's an entrepreneur. She
- 14:01Speaker 1: comes from an entrepreneur family. So she was like, Mom,
- 14:05Speaker 1: I know, I think it sold up. How you really
- 14:07Speaker 1: just took some accountability. What you said was you went
- 14:10Speaker 1: on some auditions, you tried for some things, and you
- 14:12Speaker 1: didn't get them because you weren't good. Most people will
- 14:15Speaker 1: not admit that. Oh no. I definitely looked back and
- 14:18Speaker 1: I'm like that was rough, like rooting for her, thank god,
- 14:22Speaker 1: But you know, everything is trial and error. And I
- 14:24Speaker 1: feel like, because I was so green, I didn't know
- 14:26Speaker 1: what work I did. I knew what didn't, so I
- 14:28Speaker 1: just had to, you know, evolve and adapt. But was
- 14:31Speaker 1: singing I can always rope somebody in Okay. I looked
- 14:34Speaker 1: online the little research and it says that you are actress, singer,
- 14:38Speaker 1: rapper and lord dancing. What BYA was this I've been
- 14:41Speaker 1: trying to work with you guys. When I used to
- 14:47Speaker 1: when I was younger, I used to wrap yes, But
- 14:49Speaker 1: now the girls really be rapping, So I don't even
- 14:51Speaker 1: want to put that when I don't want to, don't
- 14:53Speaker 1: want somebody to interview, like yeah, kid, the freestyle real quick,
- 14:57Speaker 1: also right, but also to their like, I really respect
- 15:01Speaker 1: the girls out here who are coming with them sickening
- 15:04Speaker 1: and so I'm like, that's not these girls, these dudes.
- 15:07Speaker 1: I mean, look, you know, West females, we gotta work
- 15:09Speaker 1: harder just to get the same respect, which is not cute,
- 15:11Speaker 1: but per we do we do at school. You definitely
- 15:13Speaker 1: said that. So Strength of a Woman Festival is coming
- 15:15Speaker 1: up in Atlanta, May sixth to the eighth. Now it's
- 15:18Speaker 1: had like Mayor J Blige obviously and featuring some amazingly
- 15:21Speaker 1: talented women since you brought them up. You have legendary
- 15:24Speaker 1: artists like Shaka Khan, you have Escape, You even have
- 15:27Speaker 1: newer talent like Queen Nyja arm A Red of the Great,
- 15:30Speaker 1: who is in fact from Atlanta. So Coco, I think
- 15:34Speaker 1: it's safe to say that it really is the Year
- 15:36Speaker 1: of the Woman, Like women have music in a choke hole.
- 15:40Speaker 1: I'm not arguing with nobody. Do you feel like this
- 15:43Speaker 1: is your time to come in? And how or where
- 15:45Speaker 1: do you think you can actually leave your mark at
- 15:47Speaker 1: such a time where women are so oh well, I
- 15:50Speaker 1: definitely feel like people that can watch my journey, they
- 15:54Speaker 1: can put into perspective that things really do take time,
- 15:57Speaker 1: and hopefully they can stay motivated to continue on their
- 16:00Speaker 1: paths of achieving whatever it is that they dream about,
- 16:03Speaker 1: and that keeps them up the things that they can't
- 16:05Speaker 1: imagine not doing because people don't know, like I started young,
- 16:09Speaker 1: but like I've been doing this and I had a
- 16:11Speaker 1: long long time where everything was moving slow, you know,
- 16:15Speaker 1: and I watched like a peek and then I watched
- 16:17Speaker 1: a fall. But now I feel like I'm back at
- 16:19Speaker 1: the peak, and so I want to tell people, like,
- 16:21Speaker 1: just because you're in a valley doesn't mean you're done.
- 16:23Speaker 1: It doesn't mean your windows closed. It just means there's
- 16:25Speaker 1: gonna be a different route than what you thought. But
- 16:27Speaker 1: just keep walking in that route. You know? Now, is
- 16:29Speaker 1: the internet correct? One? It says shout out was wisdom
- 16:33Speaker 1: from a twenty four year old. Okay, put that back.
- 16:41Speaker 1: So tell me what came first, music or acting? Oh,
- 16:44Speaker 1: music for sure, Music for sure. I actually I won
- 16:47Speaker 1: this talent competition. I was competing against my age I
- 16:50Speaker 1: won that one, and then I competed against adults. I
- 16:52Speaker 1: won that one, and the judge was the one that
- 16:54Speaker 1: was like, okay, I'll work with her for free. He
- 16:55Speaker 1: worked with me for a year and that's when I
- 16:57Speaker 1: created that get a little ep if I like leapovers
- 17:00Speaker 1: at basketball. It was the start. It was. It was
- 17:04Speaker 1: the start. So singing was my first thing. And then
- 17:06Speaker 1: I was bothering my mom like what else can I do?
- 17:08Speaker 1: She was like, just audition for the Brocket commercial. I
- 17:10Speaker 1: don't know, child, So then I didn't. I was like, oh,
- 17:12Speaker 1: this is cute too, So I started doing both and
- 17:15Speaker 1: whenever one was like slower, the other one would be faster.
- 17:18Speaker 1: So you always have something something to do with. She's smart,
- 17:21Speaker 1: she know how. She like, I'm gonna work every angle
- 17:23Speaker 1: basketball music, I'm gonna do it all. Oh my god,
- 17:27Speaker 1: where did basketball come from? Is that a real thing?
- 17:30Speaker 1: Well for me, yeah, my dad played professional ball, so
- 17:34Speaker 1: I thought sports was going to be my way in.
- 17:36Speaker 1: But then I realized that you can get paid to sing,
- 17:39Speaker 1: and I was like, I'm gonna take a permit time.
- 17:42Speaker 1: So were you really not into sports? It was just
- 17:44Speaker 1: more like the family. Oh no, I was into it.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I'm so okay. I was. I was very into it,
- 17:49Speaker 1: but I was more like I felt more in my
- 17:52Speaker 1: passion bag when I was on a stage or when
- 17:54Speaker 1: I'm in a studio. So I had to chase that
- 17:56Speaker 1: how tall are you? That's a good height for like
- 18:00Speaker 1: women's basketball. I would never know. I'm not even five feet.
- 18:03Speaker 1: So I just so you definitely wouldn't relax. Okay, So
- 18:09Speaker 1: how the hell did you get the role of playing
- 18:12Speaker 1: Hillary Banks on bel Air Man? I mean, it's still
- 18:16Speaker 1: such a blessing. I literally whenever I see the advertising,
- 18:19Speaker 1: I'm like, thank you guys, thank you God. Because I
- 18:22Speaker 1: actually didn't want an audition for him. It came across
- 18:25Speaker 1: my my email like auditions do, and my team was like, yeah,
- 18:27Speaker 1: we think you should email for this, and you know,
- 18:30Speaker 1: I didn't want to. I have like this impression that
- 18:33Speaker 1: I didn't fit the role. I felt like if they
- 18:35Speaker 1: were doing a reimagination, if they were doing a recreation,
- 18:38Speaker 1: they wanted Hillary to look exactly like you did before,
- 18:40Speaker 1: and I was like, my hair doesn't do that. I
- 18:42Speaker 1: don't look like that. I'm not that shade. I don't
- 18:43Speaker 1: even want to do this. So I told my acting manager,
- 18:45Speaker 1: I was like, can I audition for Ashley? He was like, girl,
- 18:47Speaker 1: Ashley spoil if. I was like, hey, so I didn't,
- 18:53Speaker 1: and I honestly it was very strategic about it. So
- 18:55Speaker 1: then I had a conversation with Morgan Cooper, our director
- 18:58Speaker 1: and creator, and he basically was saying he had researched me.
- 19:00Speaker 1: He knows what I can do, what I bring to
- 19:02Speaker 1: the table. He was like, just do that. That's what
- 19:04Speaker 1: I'm looking for. So then I got to really play
- 19:06Speaker 1: Hillary with no restraints and no like no limiting beliefs
- 19:10Speaker 1: about myself of what they were looking for. I just
- 19:12Speaker 1: got to like, do me, and a couple of days later,
- 19:15Speaker 1: I got that's that's so. That's so dope. And I
- 19:18Speaker 1: also seen um in an interview where you were talking
- 19:21Speaker 1: about like how um, you know when you got the
- 19:25Speaker 1: role and everything, and you know, really how I made
- 19:26Speaker 1: you feel because you was like, I might not get this,
- 19:29Speaker 1: so I don't want to audition, but then you did
- 19:31Speaker 1: it anyway. But that just tells you you know things,
- 19:33Speaker 1: you know, life works in mysterious ways because there's so
- 19:37Speaker 1: many things that you know, you probably didn't want to
- 19:39Speaker 1: do and you did it and you got it and
- 19:40Speaker 1: you said, look, man, my whole life is changing all
- 19:43Speaker 1: over again. And I like how you talked about the
- 19:45Speaker 1: slow times in your career because a lot of artists
- 19:48Speaker 1: they don't talk about that. You know. Everybody just talked
- 19:49Speaker 1: about like, yeah, I went through the struggle, but you
- 19:51Speaker 1: know I made it out. But people never talked about
- 19:54Speaker 1: the slow times because you came from Disney and you know,
- 19:59Speaker 1: I've seen interview you was talking about like you thought
- 20:01Speaker 1: your life was just gonna blow up and just keep
- 20:04Speaker 1: increasing and stuff like that. So I really thought that
- 20:07Speaker 1: was that was dope too. So with this new found fame,
- 20:10Speaker 1: you know, with the with the new show, like, how
- 20:12Speaker 1: do you feel now? Do you feel different? Honestly? You know,
- 20:16Speaker 1: I have this one interview and the lady who interviewed
- 20:18Speaker 1: me said it best. She said, like, we're so happy
- 20:20Speaker 1: you're having your renaissance moment. And I was like, oh my,
- 20:23Speaker 1: that is literally it like it feels kind of like
- 20:26Speaker 1: deja vu because I remember when everything was so live
- 20:30Speaker 1: and everyone was talking about what I was doing and
- 20:34Speaker 1: I was a kid, you know, I was like so young,
- 20:36Speaker 1: I didn't know that that would ever stop. And so
- 20:38Speaker 1: for me now, I love that I get to have
- 20:41Speaker 1: this opportunity again to like kind of reintroduce myself, you know,
- 20:44Speaker 1: because now I'm growing, nobody's telling me what to say
- 20:47Speaker 1: or what lines, like, I'm playing this dope character and
- 20:50Speaker 1: I know who I am musically and sonically, and also
- 20:53Speaker 1: I have all this experience, so I'm like a Ricky
- 20:57Speaker 1: and that you are the new, a greater version of yourself.
- 21:01Speaker 1: And I think over time it's totally okay for us
- 21:04Speaker 1: to continue to find newer, greater versions of ourselves, no
- 21:07Speaker 1: matter what that looks like. So who do see you
- 21:09Speaker 1: for being being able to go through all of that?
- 21:11Speaker 1: And I know that Disney stuff might have been a
- 21:14Speaker 1: lot of pressure because I think a lot of people
- 21:15Speaker 1: always a song when you come from Disney, Man, you
- 21:18Speaker 1: just gonna go Yeah, life is just gonna be beautiful.
- 21:21Speaker 1: It's no joke. It's a huge machine. But I look
- 21:24Speaker 1: back at it and I'm so grateful for all of
- 21:26Speaker 1: those opportunities because I have a whole fan base that's
- 21:29Speaker 1: been watching me since we was all like teen, you know,
- 21:32Speaker 1: Like it's crazy. They're not like They're not like, you know, faulty.
- 21:37Speaker 1: They really stuck with me. So I'm honored and hopefully
- 21:41Speaker 1: with my new music and with these new projects, I
- 21:44Speaker 1: can inspire them to keep going and like I can
- 21:46Speaker 1: be like, thank you all for rocking with me, you know,
- 21:48Speaker 1: because without your fans, who's checking for you? Hello? I'm
- 21:51Speaker 1: grateful for them because I was like, SI's got like
- 21:53Speaker 1: over a million followers. I know, I didn't come from
- 21:55Speaker 1: val Air, which is just Premier a couple of weeks.
- 22:01Speaker 1: They love her. So did you question your role because
- 22:05Speaker 1: of skin complexion? Did you feel like that that was
- 22:07Speaker 1: gonna take a big part in it? Oh? I mean
- 22:10Speaker 1: when I auditioned, I thought that they were, you know,
- 22:13Speaker 1: looking for someone of a lighter shade to to really
- 22:17Speaker 1: be similar to O. G. Hillary. So that made me
- 22:19Speaker 1: kind of like apprehensive to audition. But once I got
- 22:23Speaker 1: the role, I was like, Okay, this is huge, this
- 22:25Speaker 1: is a huge moment. This is an honor, This is
- 22:28Speaker 1: about representation, This is about opening minds of people who
- 22:31Speaker 1: look like me. This is way bigger than me, you know. Yeah,
- 22:34Speaker 1: It's so sad how colorism played such a big part
- 22:37Speaker 1: and even the things that we think we should try
- 22:39Speaker 1: to achieve or things we should go for. So I'm
- 22:41Speaker 1: glad that you continue to push through because who else
- 22:43Speaker 1: would they have gotten for that role. Like everyone seems
- 22:45Speaker 1: to absolutely love you in the role. Thank you. Not
- 22:49Speaker 1: about color, but if y'all don't know she's beautiful, you've
- 22:52Speaker 1: got some color to her. And I think that's why
- 22:54Speaker 1: it's so dope that you're so pro woman, because we
- 22:57Speaker 1: want to see more dark skin or darker skin women
- 23:00Speaker 1: in the industry. And you're just you're just you just
- 23:02Speaker 1: seem so genuine and proud to be who you are.
- 23:05Speaker 1: So we're excited to have you on the show today.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Thank you so much. I'm happy to be here. Google Jones,

- 23:21Speaker 1: too many followers. Not like you need any more follows, followers,
- 23:26Speaker 1: that's a period. I'm very good. Let's want to take
- 23:28Speaker 1: the follow me. Okay, caliber watch the show. I'm an
- 23:31Speaker 1: advertising Come on now, that's like a quick commercial break.
- 23:34Speaker 1: But when we come back. We're gonna do baller mail.
- 23:38Speaker 1: We'll be right back. Stay tuned with more of the
- 23:41Speaker 1: Baller Alert Show message. Welcome back to the ball Alert
- 23:48Speaker 1: podcast Show. Ferrari is out on vacation being nasty, but
- 23:54Speaker 1: I am here to do the baller mail already ready
- 23:58Speaker 1: all right, this one is kind of crazy. What's up, y'all?
- 24:01Speaker 1: What's up all nation? My twin brother is smashing our cousin.
- 24:05Speaker 1: His nasty ass won't stop, and it's completely out of pocket,
- 24:09Speaker 1: and I want to tell our dad and our cousin's dad.
- 24:14Speaker 1: This is completely discussing, and I feel like I need
- 24:16Speaker 1: to put them on blasts. What do y'all think? What
- 24:23Speaker 1: my lord? We have to start having them put their
- 24:26Speaker 1: race down because I'm trying to figure out or not
- 24:31Speaker 1: I'm trying to figure out. I want you to tell
- 24:34Speaker 1: the folks. Honestly, this is chaotic, chaotic what I'm hearing.
- 24:44Speaker 1: I'm okay. So, as I was coming up, I was
- 24:47Speaker 1: always like the goody goody. I was always like the
- 24:50Speaker 1: second mom. I'm the oldest of all my siblings, so
- 24:53Speaker 1: my intuition is saying snitch my intention. But you know what,
- 24:58Speaker 1: here's another thing. I feel like Karma is a mother,
- 25:02Speaker 1: it really is. And so sometimes I don't know me personally,
- 25:07Speaker 1: I would maybe you know what I would do. Maybe
- 25:08Speaker 1: I'll be on some like inspector type stuff like leave
- 25:11Speaker 1: some clues, leave some clues around so in that way
- 25:14Speaker 1: the Lord can tell them and they'll see the clue
- 25:16Speaker 1: and then they piece it together. And then I wasn't
- 25:18Speaker 1: a snitch, you know what I'm saying. I was just
- 25:19Speaker 1: I was just working for Christ, the Lord do his work,
- 25:22Speaker 1: the Lord. You just work. Hey man, girl, I gotta
- 25:26Speaker 1: to say all I'm gonna say I is y'all nasty
- 25:28Speaker 1: and um, you know, if you need to snitch, then
- 25:31Speaker 1: go ahead. I'm sorry, like snitch just just this is
- 25:34Speaker 1: just you? Is that illegal? Not everywhere? So that's why
- 25:40Speaker 1: I need to know where y'all that is You Caucasians,
- 25:43Speaker 1: what race are you and what state are you in?
- 25:46Speaker 1: Because if your state allows it, then leave them be.
- 25:50Speaker 1: If if you'll state allows it, clearly that's what y'all
- 25:54Speaker 1: need to tell somebody because that is nasty. You need
- 25:58Speaker 1: to tell somebody. You need to tell a family member.
- 26:00Speaker 1: You might not have to be the one to deliver
- 26:02Speaker 1: the bad news, but you should tell somebody to tell
- 26:05Speaker 1: somebody because this is nasty and it's and it is
- 26:09Speaker 1: bad because yeah, I see the movie about some stuff
- 26:15Speaker 1: like that too, and their kids didn't look good. You
- 26:19Speaker 1: know what, I think it's all the wrong turn. I
- 26:21Speaker 1: think it's very much the wrong turn. You guys are
- 26:24Speaker 1: very much lost lost. I'm telling you because your baby's
- 26:27Speaker 1: the Sharon promises that you know what else you could do?
- 26:31Speaker 1: You could write an anonymous email. That's what I'm saying.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Just tell all the tea and and don't sign it.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Just put with love. Just type it up and just
- 26:39Speaker 1: drop it because they can trace the email. They can
- 26:42Speaker 1: see where the email. Yes, I don't need that. There
- 26:45Speaker 1: I go getting caught again. Look at you. You know
- 26:48Speaker 1: you don't even know how to do stuff and not
- 26:49Speaker 1: get caught. I'm a sending an email about this my
- 26:55Speaker 1: last email, Joe, and I don't this not for my
- 27:01Speaker 1: last Lord have mercy COO. Once again, thank you for

- 27:22Speaker 1: always come back and just let us know. Okay, we
- 27:25Speaker 1: got to hear your your your experience when you go
- 27:27Speaker 1: to Magic City for the first but just go there
- 27:30Speaker 1: for the food press No, we just go there for
- 27:33Speaker 1: the food. That's a let of thing. We go to
- 27:34Speaker 1: strip clubs and we know I'm already knowing so many
- 27:37Speaker 1: people have told me that this part of culture. I'm like, well,
- 27:39Speaker 1: at this point, let me just see what people in
- 27:40Speaker 1: l A thought. I was weird because I was like,
- 27:42Speaker 1: it was like when you have I'm like, oh, I'm
- 27:43Speaker 1: a Magic City. They're like, you have the strip club
- 27:46Speaker 1: in the day the time I said, I'm here eating.
- 27:47Speaker 1: When I'm hungry, here having food. I'll pop in during
- 27:51Speaker 1: the day, just a little, just a little quick just
- 27:55Speaker 1: call Monday night, child, no Monday night. Give nobody has work?
- 28:00Speaker 1: What is Atlanta? Nobody no job here? And give it.
- 28:03Speaker 1: We are the work. Okay, we are the word. Oh
