- 0:02Speaker 1: Today's variety, Big ninety eight point seven. It's Gabe and Angie,
- 0:05Speaker 1: Sonny and eighty two here today on Big ninety eight
- 0:08Speaker 1: point seven. And happy Sinco de Mayo.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Yes, happy Sinkle am I goo as.
- 0:13Speaker 1: You are getting to know Angie. You might not know
- 0:16Speaker 1: this about her, but she is Latina and she is bilingual.
- 0:20Speaker 3: You can speak Spanish.
- 0:21Speaker 4: I can, yeah.
- 0:22Speaker 2: And I figured for Sinkle and Mayo by the way,
- 0:25Speaker 2: perfect weather to get out, great day on a patio
- 0:28Speaker 2: and sip on Margarita's. And I figured I would teach
- 0:32Speaker 2: you some phrases. I feel like Sinkle the Mayo. People
- 0:35Speaker 2: go out to restaurants, they start drinking and then they
- 0:37Speaker 2: start trying to say things in Spanish, and I'm here
- 0:40Speaker 2: for it.
- 0:40Speaker 4: I like it. But I'm gonna give you a few phrases.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Mos servey, saucer, Mos margarita's.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Yes.
- 0:46Speaker 4: Everybody knows yes.
- 0:48Speaker 2: So I'm gonna give you some phrases that you can
- 0:50Speaker 2: use during your time out celebrating Sinkle the Mayo that
- 0:53Speaker 2: maybe your server hasn't heard a billion times. Okay, all right,
- 0:57Speaker 2: So when they're handing you your fifth margarita and they're
- 1:02Speaker 2: giving you a little bit of side eye, like are
- 1:05Speaker 2: you sure you want to be having another one? You
- 1:08Speaker 2: just shrug your shoulders and say man ganta be bed man. Yeah,
- 1:14Speaker 2: and that means I love to drink. Oh yeah, there
- 1:17Speaker 2: you go, I love to drink.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Can't give you that is that one in your day
- 1:20Speaker 1: to day life on every day and not sink.
- 1:26Speaker 4: Yeah, oh you got it. Gave you up fast. Okay.
- 1:29Speaker 2: So then when someone is offering you water to hydrate,
- 1:33Speaker 2: but you're not ready to start drinking water, you're still
- 1:36Speaker 2: trying to get your buzz on, you can just say
- 1:38Speaker 2: you can just say tequila mi agua.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Oh sure, tequila is my water.
- 1:44Speaker 4: That's right, you got it.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Say tekla miagua tequila agua.
- 1:48Speaker 4: There you go right on, all right.
- 1:49Speaker 2: But now this is your final phrase. This is for
- 1:53Speaker 2: when you know you've hit your limit and you do
- 1:55Speaker 2: need to hydrate, and you get the attention of your server.
- 1:58Speaker 2: You say wood mississita lagua memory at all. You might
- 2:05Speaker 2: have to break that one down for me, poor nisissita
- 2:09Speaker 2: lagua agua. Oh memo, o.
- 2:13Speaker 4: It's please, I need water. I'll die.
- 2:18Speaker 3: I happy sinko to may to you.
- 2:21Speaker 1: From us here at big ninety eight point seven. He's
- 2:26Speaker 1: riety big ninety eight point seven. It's gave an Angie
- 2:28Speaker 1: Happy Monday. What a gorgeous weekend, and we're gonna keep
- 2:32Speaker 1: that rolling today mostly sunny, a high of eighty two,
- 2:34Speaker 1: and then we get to do it again tomorrow sunshine
- 2:37Speaker 1: and seventy two.
- 2:37Speaker 3: So a beautiful way to start the week anyway.
- 2:41Speaker 1: And one way we're gonna celebrate that, we're gonna celebrate
- 2:44Speaker 1: Sinko to Mayo today is with little victories. We'll start
- 2:47Speaker 1: the show with some positivity. Angie, do have a little
- 2:49Speaker 1: victory from the weekend. And by the way, we do
- 2:51Speaker 1: want to remind you that if you ever have a
- 2:53Speaker 1: little victory and you want to share it with us,
- 2:55Speaker 1: please do that, text it to us or call us
- 2:57Speaker 1: at seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 2:59Speaker 2: My younger child Liam doesn't have a concussion and that's
- 3:05Speaker 2: a little victory.
- 3:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:08Speaker 2: My kids were rough housing on Friday night, and as mom,
- 3:12Speaker 2: I'm always like, don't rough house, don't roth house.
- 3:15Speaker 3: What's the worst.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Hill it happens and he his older brother ate and
- 3:23Speaker 2: slammed his head into the floor.
- 3:25Speaker 4: Thankfully it was carpet, but he was like.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Dizzy, blurred vision took him into the er to make
- 3:31Speaker 2: sure it wasn't a concussion. And what I love is
- 3:33Speaker 2: that the doctor said, no, not a concussion, but he
- 3:36Speaker 2: got his bell rung real good. I love that.
- 3:41Speaker 4: That's like the official diagnosis was he got his bell rung.
- 3:45Speaker 2: But the victory is a A it's not a concussion,
- 3:48Speaker 2: and B they finally learned their lesson, no more rough housing.
- 3:51Speaker 3: There you go.
- 3:52Speaker 1: That is really funny to hear that phrase or that
- 3:55Speaker 1: term come from a professional doctor. That's right, somebody who
- 3:58Speaker 1: went to a jillion years of school to let you
- 4:00Speaker 1: know that your kid got his bell rung.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Yep.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I'll tell you what, Angie, my entire weekend could have
- 4:04Speaker 1: been a little victory. That'd be a major victory though.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Just what a gorgeous weekend for sure. But I tell
- 4:09Speaker 1: you what, I did something this weekend that I've been
- 4:11Speaker 1: planning for like months and months and months, just never
- 4:14Speaker 1: got around to it.
- 4:15Speaker 3: So I do.
- 4:16Speaker 1: This is one of the adult choices I've made. I
- 4:20Speaker 1: at some point every couple of years will take every
- 4:23Speaker 1: sock and underwear that I own and I just throw
- 4:28Speaker 1: them away. Wha And then I will go to the
- 4:31Speaker 1: store and spend I'm not kidding like a one hundred
- 4:34Speaker 1: and twenty dollars on eight bags of the exact same
- 4:38Speaker 1: sock and multiple bags of new underwear.
- 4:42Speaker 4: I love this for you. This is your bougie thes.
- 4:46Speaker 3: This is my one thing.
- 4:47Speaker 1: So I am floating on a cloud for the next
- 4:51Speaker 1: like twelve days. I will be wearing brand new socks
- 4:54Speaker 1: every single day here, and a brand new pair of
- 4:57Speaker 1: underwear right here to Big ninety eight point seven every
- 5:00Speaker 1: day for the foreseeable future, until I obviously have to
- 5:03Speaker 1: wash them and then all the fun's got.
- 5:04Speaker 4: That's so funny.
- 5:05Speaker 2: I think it's wild that I know, at this moment
- 5:07Speaker 2: you're sitting in like the freshest sundaies.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Bridy Big ninety eight point seven.
- 5:15Speaker 1: It's gave an Angie in a beautiful Monday today Sunny
- 5:18Speaker 1: and eighty two.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Bringing up.
- 5:24Speaker 2: We played this song last week when we were talking
- 5:26Speaker 2: about breakups, for the part where he says.
- 5:28Speaker 4: We're breaking up.
- 5:30Speaker 2: But we had a listener Amber text in and she said, oh,
- 5:34Speaker 2: how funny my ex actually did keep my cat because
- 5:39Speaker 2: in the song he says, you have my sweaters my hand,
- 5:42Speaker 2: I can't find my cat. The hardest part of breaking
- 5:44Speaker 2: up is getting back your stuff, and that made me think,
- 5:47Speaker 2: oh gosh, yeah, what have people been keeping from their exes?
- 5:51Speaker 4: Poor Amber? Her boyfriend kept her ex boyfriend kept her cat.
- 5:55Speaker 3: I thought keeping animals was sort of a myth.
- 5:58Speaker 1: I thought I always kind of assumed that was sort
- 6:00Speaker 1: of agreed upon in the beginning, like, Okay, we really.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Know who's pet.
- 6:04Speaker 4: This is right.
- 6:05Speaker 1: You know, if Corey and I, you know, God Willing
- 6:08Speaker 1: ever got divorced or whatever, she can have all the cats.
- 6:10Speaker 3: That's solely fine.
- 6:11Speaker 1: There's no question who the dog goes with, right, Oh,
- 6:14Speaker 1: I mean like, yeah, there's no question. So I always
- 6:17Speaker 1: thought that was kind of a myth, and then to
- 6:18Speaker 1: hear it really happened to someone exactly kind of sad.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I was thinking about that. I don't know if there's
- 6:24Speaker 1: anything I really obviously care that much about that an
- 6:28Speaker 1: ex is kept. I don't think, you know, other than
- 6:29Speaker 1: probably some hoodies, maybe assured some sweatpants or.
- 6:32Speaker 4: I feel like that's part for the chorus.
- 6:33Speaker 3: Yeah at that point, signing up for it.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Yeah, text or call a seven on one to eight
- 6:38Speaker 2: O one ninety eight seven. What has an X kept
- 6:41Speaker 2: after you split? Or what did you keep from your ex?
- 6:44Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 6:44Speaker 2: I broke up with a guy in two thousand and eight,
- 6:48Speaker 2: and it was right when gosh, what a time those
- 6:50Speaker 2: ages ago. And it was right around when the BlackBerry
- 6:54Speaker 2: Curve came out that was like the hot new phone.
- 6:57Speaker 2: It wasn't even smartphone time yet, and I got it
- 7:01Speaker 2: for him and I put him on my phone plan.
- 7:03Speaker 4: Big mistake.
- 7:04Speaker 2: We broke up not that long after, and I wanted
- 7:07Speaker 2: the phone back. He did not give me back the phone.
- 7:10Speaker 2: He kept the phone and then ran the bill up
- 7:13Speaker 2: to over one thousand dollars. Really yes, And at the time,
- 7:17Speaker 2: I was like twenty years old.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, there's nothing that sticks out to me.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Did you ever have an X like keep a pet
- 7:26Speaker 3: or anything?
- 7:27Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, same bag, No way, no, same X.
- 7:31Speaker 2: He kept our dog Lulu, But I didn't fight for
- 7:35Speaker 2: that one like he kept he was. I think he
- 7:37Speaker 2: was trying to do it to hurt me, like, well,
- 7:39Speaker 2: I'm keeping Lulu, And then I was like, that's fine.
- 7:43Speaker 2: She's really hard Workiny.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Big ninety eight point seven. It's gave an Angie Sonny
- 7:51Speaker 1: and eighty two today. I mean, I've been waiting months
- 7:54Speaker 1: to say that.
- 7:55Speaker 4: I know, it's so exciting.
- 7:56Speaker 2: I feel like I'm finally gonna get a tan, and
- 7:59Speaker 2: I just I'm a better person when I'm tan.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Well, this past Friday and this past weekend, but we
- 8:05Speaker 1: got to spend some time with the guys and ladies
- 8:08Speaker 1: over at Team Elite as they were having their first
- 8:10Speaker 1: annual blowout sale.
- 8:11Speaker 3: We got to be a part of that. It was
- 8:12Speaker 3: really cool.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Yeah, it was exciting, and we also just got to
- 8:15Speaker 2: kind of know the guys. Yeah, and we got into
- 8:18Speaker 2: this discussion when we were, you know, exchanging, Oh where
- 8:22Speaker 2: are you from? Where are you from? What do you
- 8:24Speaker 2: call yourself as a local living in Fargo or in Morehead?
- 8:30Speaker 4: Like what do you call yourself?
- 8:32Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 8:32Speaker 2: Because I was like, are you guys Fargo lights? But
- 8:36Speaker 2: that doesn't sound right?
- 8:37Speaker 3: Is it a far going?
- 8:39Speaker 4: Is it a far goal?
- 8:40Speaker 3: I have no idea.
- 8:41Speaker 1: So I've been here about six sish months, seven months?
- 8:45Speaker 3: You've been here? What are you at three or two?
- 8:46Speaker 4: Two?
- 8:47Speaker 3: Two months?
- 8:48Speaker 1: Yeah, So we obviously don't know as well as you
- 8:51Speaker 1: who's hanging out with us right now here on Big
- 8:52Speaker 1: ninety eight point seven. So we're coming to you with
- 8:54Speaker 1: that question as to quote unquote like you know, newbies, Yeah,
- 8:59Speaker 1: the area?
- 9:00Speaker 4: What do you call yourself?
- 9:01Speaker 2: Seven?
- 9:01Speaker 4: On one two it oh one ninety eight seven.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Text us or call us, we love a phone call.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Let us know what you call yourself as a local living.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Here, because in Texas, right, you're just you're like a Texan.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, in Idaho you're an Idahoan.
- 9:16Speaker 2: I guess, yeah, but like what's a I don't Yeah,
- 9:20Speaker 2: what are you sound right?
- 9:22Speaker 1: That's what we kind of got to when we were
- 9:24Speaker 1: having the discussion with Andy and the guys at Team Elite.
- 9:27Speaker 4: Yeah, are you a moreheader?
- 9:28Speaker 2: No?
- 9:29Speaker 4: If you live in Morehead, that.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Doesn't sound right. I don't know.
- 9:32Speaker 1: I'm not sure because fargo Light, Fargoing, Fargin, Like, I'm
- 9:36Speaker 1: not sure how great all of those sound. There's gotta
- 9:39Speaker 1: be something that rolls off the tongue a little better, right.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Yeah, someone's gotta know who's been here longer. I just
- 9:44Speaker 2: know that when I accepted coming onto this show doing
- 9:50Speaker 2: the Big ninety eight point seven Morning Show, the second
- 9:53Speaker 2: I like signed on the dotted line, I was like, Okay,
- 9:56Speaker 2: I guess you can call me Fargolina.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Ariety, Big ninety eight point seven.
- 10:03Speaker 1: It's Gabeen Angie, Sunny and eighty two Today, A beautiful
- 10:06Speaker 1: Monday and an exciting week here at Big ninety eight
- 10:09Speaker 1: point seven.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we've got something big coming for you on Thursday.
- 10:14Speaker 4: It's the Big Money Boy, right.
- 10:17Speaker 3: It is back.
- 10:18Speaker 1: You maybe heard a couple of things about it being
- 10:21Speaker 1: back over the weekend, and we did just want to
- 10:23Speaker 1: clarify that. We saw a couple of texts and messages
- 10:26Speaker 1: through the Facebook about hey.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Do we have an updated board? Can you post the board?
- 10:30Speaker 1: It has not started, so don't worry if you think
- 10:32Speaker 1: you've missed something, if you've missed a number or whatever,
- 10:35Speaker 1: you have not. The Big Money Board, brought to you
- 10:37Speaker 1: by Lilostahl Research, is back on Thursday.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Yes, and first things first, you can't win unless you're registered.
- 10:45Speaker 3: Pretty tough to do. To do that, you.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Can't win if you're not part of the whole shebang.
- 10:50Speaker 2: So you can go to Big nine eight seven dot
- 10:52Speaker 2: com to get registered, or text money to seven oh
- 10:55Speaker 2: one two waight oh one to ninety eight seven.
- 10:57Speaker 4: That'll get you started. That'll get you registered.
- 10:59Speaker 2: When you are on Big ninety eight seven dot com,
- 11:02Speaker 2: you'll see that there's a game board there to download. Yep,
- 11:08Speaker 2: you gotta have that so that you can see what
- 11:10Speaker 2: numbers you know you want to pick. And here's the thing,
- 11:12Speaker 2: it's better if you work together. So big ninety eight
- 11:15Speaker 2: point seven inner circle, that's what you need to be
- 11:18Speaker 2: following on Facebook.
- 11:20Speaker 4: That's the group you want to be in.
- 11:21Speaker 2: So you guys can compare boards, like what number has
- 11:25Speaker 2: been picked, you know whatever, or if.
- 11:26Speaker 1: You had to run into the gas station or you
- 11:28Speaker 1: drop the kids off at daycare and you happen to
- 11:30Speaker 1: miss whatever number was called. Yeah, there's a lot of
- 11:33Speaker 1: people on the inner circle who do a very good
- 11:35Speaker 1: job of keeping everyone updated exactly.
- 11:37Speaker 2: And then the most important part, you gotta listen.
- 11:40Speaker 3: That's right, Yeah, you have to listen that part.
- 11:43Speaker 4: Yes, the most important piece.
- 11:44Speaker 2: We will call out your name and then you have
- 11:47Speaker 2: nine minutes in eighty seven seconds to call us back.
- 11:51Speaker 2: If you call us back within that timeframe, then you
- 11:54Speaker 2: have the opportunity to pick numbers on the board to match.
- 11:58Speaker 2: You can win up to twelve one hundred dollars this
- 12:01Speaker 2: go round, which is major. There's never a bad time
- 12:04Speaker 2: to win money, not vy never, but the timing. It's
- 12:07Speaker 2: summer vacation, you're trying to go to the lakes, you're
- 12:10Speaker 2: trying to do all these things.
- 12:11Speaker 4: It's not bad to have extra cash in your pocket.
- 12:13Speaker 3: That's right. If you had twelve hundred dollars, what are
- 12:16Speaker 3: you doing with it?
- 12:17Speaker 2: Hello, I'm buying the massive floaties, the massive, like the
- 12:23Speaker 2: huge ten person floaties, like a few of them, so
- 12:26Speaker 2: I can invite every person I've ever known to hang
- 12:29Speaker 2: out on the lake with, like in the big inflatable
- 12:33Speaker 2: plumbing bube.
- 12:34Speaker 1: I kind of like this idea where you're going. That's
- 12:36Speaker 1: really cool? Yeah, all right, The Big Money Board is
- 12:38Speaker 1: back Thursday. The Big Money Money Board, excuse me, brought
- 12:41Speaker 1: to you by Lilisol Research for Future Generations.
- 12:44Speaker 3: Be ready to go this Thursday.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Text money to seven oh one two eight zero one
- 12:49Speaker 1: nine eight. Today's variety Big ninety eight point seven. It's
- 12:54Speaker 1: Gabe and dang Sonny and eighty two today. And there
- 12:58Speaker 1: was an email we received last week that I had
- 13:01Speaker 1: kind of saved to bring to you this morning.
- 13:03Speaker 2: I was gonna say, because I don't always check the email.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Yeah, well this email was so it just related so
- 13:11Speaker 1: hard just for you if you have had to move,
- 13:14Speaker 1: or if you've ever had like lived in an area
- 13:17Speaker 1: and were the new kid or the new guy or whatever.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Now, yeah, if you've lived here in Fargo, your whole life.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Maybe you've had to help a buddy or your girlfriend,
- 13:24Speaker 1: you know, move across town, whatever the case may be.
- 13:27Speaker 1: But this email says, hey, dear Big ninety eight point
- 13:30Speaker 1: seven Morning Show. I know sometimes you guys get emails
- 13:33Speaker 1: and solicit advice. I'm looking for some, he said. I'm
- 13:36Speaker 1: a single guy with a few friends in the area.
- 13:39Speaker 1: With few, not a few, with few friends in the area. Okay,
- 13:43Speaker 1: the one person I thought was actually a pretty good
- 13:45Speaker 1: friend left me hanging after he said he would help
- 13:47Speaker 1: me move over the weekend. Not even a phone call,
- 13:50Speaker 1: and he wouldn't pick up his phone, so I left
- 13:52Speaker 1: a message begging for help. I mentioned that I didn't
- 13:54Speaker 1: have any help and he knew I was alone. It
- 13:58Speaker 1: was one of the worst physical experience, says I ever
- 14:00Speaker 1: went through. Moving a king size mattress by yourself down
- 14:04Speaker 1: two flights of stairs and up one flight of stairs
- 14:07Speaker 1: is not something I would wish on my worst enemy.
- 14:09Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, I've moved a king.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Size mattress just a handful of rooms or areas over
- 14:15Speaker 1: in my own house before, just to get it out
- 14:18Speaker 1: of the way to like vacuum and stuff.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Yeah, nightmare, A horrible I have a king sized bed,
- 14:23Speaker 2: and let me tell you I've never moved.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Hey, it's just not moving exactly right, he says.
- 14:28Speaker 1: He continues on and says I shot him a text
- 14:30Speaker 1: that night, asking Hey, what happened.
- 14:32Speaker 3: I really needed your help this weekend.
- 14:34Speaker 1: His reply, I'm sorry, but I've had a lot going
- 14:37Speaker 1: on and couldn't deal with the stress of helping someone move.
- 14:39Speaker 1: When I asked him what was going on, he said,
- 14:42Speaker 1: just life. I'm stressed about life and I needed some
- 14:45Speaker 1: alone time. Should this gentleman who will remain nameless, okay,
- 14:50Speaker 1: unfriend this person in real life, a real life unfriend,
- 14:54Speaker 1: real life unfriending. Let us know what you think. By
- 14:57Speaker 1: the way, at seven oh one two eight zero one
- 15:01Speaker 1: eight seven.
- 15:02Speaker 2: The thing is, I understand needing alone time. I understand
- 15:06Speaker 2: feeling overwhelmed and not being able to extend yourself to
- 15:10Speaker 2: help others. I get that. I've been in that boat.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Here's where I called b s. He could have the
- 15:17Speaker 2: first time this guy reached out to him been like, Hey,
- 15:21Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I have a lot going on, blah blah blah,
- 15:23Speaker 2: Like he could.
- 15:24Speaker 4: Have given this answer hours before.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Right, he was ignoring him throughout the whole I need
- 15:31Speaker 2: help moving process. And then finally once it was done,
- 15:34Speaker 2: it was like, oh, yeah, man, sorry, I needed someone untime, Like,
- 15:38Speaker 2: I don't like that you didn't have to wait that
- 15:40Speaker 2: long to let him know.
- 15:41Speaker 4: I feel like that was shady.
- 15:43Speaker 1: For all we know, he was on the golf course
- 15:45Speaker 1: with some other buddies, you know, ever and bush lights
- 15:47Speaker 1: and shooting a ninety?
- 15:48Speaker 4: Was he hanging out with you, gab?
- 15:52Speaker 3: But here's what I will say.
- 15:54Speaker 1: I do think when you move and you ask people
- 15:57Speaker 1: for help and they say they are going to help,
- 15:59Speaker 1: you should be able to expect them to be there
- 16:02Speaker 1: and help.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Right.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Was that what it was that he had asked him
- 16:05Speaker 2: before and he said yes, and then the day of
- 16:07Speaker 2: just didn't okay, I feel like I missed that.
- 16:10Speaker 4: No, yeah, unfriend of this guy. That's rude.
- 16:14Speaker 3: That is rude. But here's what I will say.
- 16:16Speaker 1: You do get to a certain point, at a certain
- 16:19Speaker 1: age where when you're asking for help with move in
- 16:22Speaker 1: and lift in and like actual physical work. Yeah, I
- 16:25Speaker 1: think you're just throwing out a hail Mary and hoping
- 16:28Speaker 1: nobody wants. Nobody on earth wants to help you move,
- 16:33Speaker 1: no one. They might do it out of the kindness
- 16:35Speaker 1: of their heart, they might love you. That is the
- 16:37Speaker 1: last thing they wanted spading their Saturday doing. So when
- 16:40Speaker 1: you ask someone for help and they're like, oh yeah,
- 16:43Speaker 1: I always kind of go yeah, they'll probably be like
- 16:45Speaker 1: an hour or two hours late or whatever.
- 16:47Speaker 2: I see, but then don't say yes that you're gonna
- 16:49Speaker 2: do it.
- 16:50Speaker 3: I agree, I do agree. I agree you.
- 16:52Speaker 2: I feel like automatically we're friends game, and so if
- 16:56Speaker 2: I ever have to move from the place I'm in now,
- 16:59Speaker 2: I feel like you should help me move. Because when
- 17:03Speaker 2: you purchase a truck, you automatically silently sign the contract
- 17:07Speaker 2: that you're gonna help your friends move.
- 17:08Speaker 3: That is true.
- 17:09Speaker 4: You have the truck.
- 17:10Speaker 1: If you ever really need some friends, all right, go
- 17:13Speaker 1: buy a truck, and then they just come calling. Yeah
- 17:17Speaker 1: seven one two eight zero one nine eight seven Should
- 17:20Speaker 1: this guy unfriend this guy in real life?
- 17:22Speaker 3: What do you think?
- 17:25Speaker 1: Today's variety Big ninety eight point seven It's gave an Angie,
- 17:27Speaker 1: Sonny and eighty two.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Today a beautiful way to start your work week.
- 17:31Speaker 1: We got this pretty interesting email last week, just if
- 17:36Speaker 1: you're just tuning in. Essentially a bit of a group
- 17:38Speaker 1: therapy for everyone here today, A guy asked his buddy
- 17:41Speaker 1: to help him move. His friends said he would help,
- 17:43Speaker 1: and then basically no show, no called, no texted, no nothing. Yeah,
- 17:48Speaker 1: left him unread in real life, And so we wanted
- 17:52Speaker 1: to know, as our emailer ones, I should I un
- 17:55Speaker 1: friend this dude in real life? Is this even worth
- 17:58Speaker 1: my time? This friendship? And there were some people pretty
- 18:01Speaker 1: fired up texting us here at seven oh one two
- 18:04Speaker 1: eight zero one nine eight seven, for example Tim, Tim
- 18:07Speaker 1: came out kind of fire and Tim said a man
- 18:09Speaker 1: is only as good as his word. Pretty messed up
- 18:12Speaker 1: for his friend to say he'd help and then not
- 18:14Speaker 1: show up. Not sure if it's worth a complete unfriending,
- 18:18Speaker 1: But if it was me, our friendship would be different
- 18:21Speaker 1: moving forward.
- 18:22Speaker 3: That's kind of what I was telling you off the air.
- 18:24Speaker 1: If this ever happened to me going forward, this would
- 18:27Speaker 1: be someone all right, instead of texting quite a bit,
- 18:29Speaker 1: talking quite a bit.
- 18:31Speaker 3: I probably am hanging out with you when I have to.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel you, Alana texted. Unfriending in real life
- 18:37Speaker 2: is harsh. He already doesn't have a lot of friends.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Give him a pass this time. Yeah, that is true.
- 18:43Speaker 2: He did say he has few friends. Maybe do give
- 18:46Speaker 2: him a pass.
- 18:47Speaker 3: I would agree with that.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Yeah, Grant, he texted as well, said helping someone move stinks.
- 18:52Speaker 1: The friend should have just said he didn't want to
- 18:54Speaker 1: help from the beginning. However, not worth unfriending. But I
- 18:58Speaker 1: understand why you'd be upset.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Okay, so it looks like, you know, being mad makes sense,
- 19:04Speaker 2: but maybe not unfriending. But Catherine said he did him
- 19:07Speaker 2: a favor. No fake friends, Fargo has plenty of nice people.
- 19:11Speaker 2: He'll make more friends.
- 19:12Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that's very I think that's very sweet.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, all right, Well Eric is a lot like
- 19:17Speaker 1: who is that Catherine?
- 19:19Speaker 3: Eric's a lot like Catherine.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Eric said, unfriend That dude can't believe anything he says.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Ever again, who wants to be friends with someone they
- 19:27Speaker 1: don't trust? Oh wow, okay, very good point. I feel
- 19:30Speaker 1: like he's been in this situation before.
- 19:33Speaker 3: I feel like Eric's been ghosted in real life once or.
- 19:35Speaker 4: T Yeah, yeah, Brett said, bro is but hurt.
- 19:39Speaker 3: It's not a big deal. Oh dang, very nice. Variety
- 19:47Speaker 3: Big ninety eight point seven.
- 19:48Speaker 1: It's Gabe and Angie, Sonny and eighty two today, and
- 19:51Speaker 1: we've got Gabe's good news of the day. Now, when
- 19:55Speaker 1: I hear and see stories like this, I never know
- 19:58Speaker 1: at first, like, oh, is this Jen you in or
- 20:00Speaker 1: is this are we just doing this for views on YouTube? Okay,
- 20:04Speaker 1: but what Jeff did in here is why I'm sharing
- 20:08Speaker 1: this story, which is very very cool. After showing a
- 20:11Speaker 1: simple act of kindness, this homeless man has received nearly
- 20:16Speaker 1: one hundred thousand dollars in donations.
- 20:19Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, what did he do?
- 20:20Speaker 3: And here's where it gets good.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Despite having been homeless for eight years, Jeff was approached
- 20:26Speaker 1: by a stranger saying he needed money for baby food
- 20:30Speaker 1: for his child. He did not hesitate to give the
- 20:33Speaker 1: man his last dollar. Well, this stranger just happened to
- 20:38Speaker 1: be social media influencer Jimmy Dartz, who has made a
- 20:41Speaker 1: name for himself for his high dollar random acts of
- 20:44Speaker 1: kindness videos. He was so touched by Jeff's generosity that
- 20:49Speaker 1: he gave him five hundred dollars on the spot. Now,
- 20:51Speaker 1: after sharing the story with his millions of followers, he
- 20:55Speaker 1: started a fundraiser for daily, which had collected ninety four
- 20:59Speaker 1: thousand dollar in just four days.
- 21:02Speaker 4: This is amazing. This is a go fundme I can
- 21:04Speaker 4: get behind.
- 21:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:05Speaker 1: And now, when Jeff was asked about giving away his
- 21:09Speaker 1: very last dollar, here's what he had to say.
- 21:11Speaker 5: I was thinking myself, Oh my gosh, this man needs
- 21:15Speaker 5: baby food for a child. It's like, you know, what
- 21:19Speaker 5: kind of person would say no to someone like that.
- 21:21Speaker 5: I'm not built like that.
- 21:23Speaker 1: So obviously, Jeff has been praised by a ton of people,
- 21:26Speaker 1: noting that his selfless act of kindness hopefully has inspired
- 21:30Speaker 1: others to help. Jeff said he wondered if one day
- 21:34Speaker 1: he might just die on the streets. Now, he says,
- 21:36Speaker 1: he feels hopeful for the future, and he's deeply grateful
- 21:40Speaker 1: to everyone who contributed to help change his life.
- 21:44Speaker 4: I'm so emotional. Well you do this to me every time.
- 21:47Speaker 1: What a beautiful story, and congratulations to Jeff. It sounds
- 21:50Speaker 1: like you know a guy who really needed some help
- 21:52Speaker 1: and could really deserve it. So the world is full
- 21:54Speaker 1: of nice people. If you can't find one, you gotta
- 21:57Speaker 1: be one. You remember Jeff today,
