- 0:00Speaker 1: Five million dollars to put it specially we shoot it.
- 0:02Speaker 2: But I don't like it, you take it. I'm taking
- 0:05Speaker 2: that five. I'm gonna just take the five. I gotta
- 0:08Speaker 2: take the five. I don't know, though, man might not
- 0:10Speaker 2: take five million dollars. You was taking it because here's
- 0:13Speaker 2: what you would do. Hate the special.
- 0:15Speaker 3: You would take that five. You earned it through all
- 0:18Speaker 3: the things you've done.
- 0:19Speaker 2: You earned.
- 0:20Speaker 3: But here's the thing. I'm gonna tell you what you
- 0:21Speaker 3: would do. You'd be on a revenge tour for sure.
- 0:25Speaker 2: You would be at two.
- 0:26Speaker 4: Plans would be falled up twenty four seven.
- 0:30Speaker 2: I know that special.
- 0:31Speaker 3: My thing is this, I feel like if I had
- 0:33Speaker 3: a terrible special, I would be like, Man, I know
- 0:36Speaker 3: that wouldn't hidden come see me.
- 0:38Speaker 2: I'm good, I'm back. I wouldn't.
- 0:40Speaker 3: But if I got five millionaire I didn't like it,
- 0:44Speaker 3: It'll be okay. Because there's a there's a sea of
- 0:48Speaker 3: specials that people don't like. It doesn't usually turn me
- 0:52Speaker 3: off from the comedian as a whole.
- 0:53Speaker 2: No, a bad.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Special, I'm gonna give you another chance.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Every artist I love some piece of art that I
- 1:01Speaker 3: didn't enjoy. So my favorite comedians I don't love all
- 1:04Speaker 3: their specials, my favorite singers, I don't love all their albums,
- 1:06Speaker 3: my favorite actors, I don't love all their movies. I'm
- 1:08Speaker 3: okay with an artist. I love putting out something that subpar,
- 1:11Speaker 3: and I'll come back to you three or four in
- 1:13Speaker 3: a row. Five million is hard to come by. Nefinitely
- 1:17Speaker 3: like five million, men, but it stinks.
- 1:18Speaker 2: I'd be like, soul, my.
- 1:23Speaker 3: Soul, you you principal. You ain't that principal for the
- 1:27Speaker 3: you know how much money?
- 1:28Speaker 1: Five million dollars, million dollars is a lot of money.
- 1:31Speaker 2: You can go back on the road the next day.
- 1:34Speaker 4: But my rich soul would be burning if I hated
- 1:41Speaker 4: the special.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Yeah, because that's what you got to think about some
- 1:45Speaker 2: sets that you hated. If that was it and it's
- 1:47Speaker 2: out there people when you when you bumb Let's.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Let's say my Brooklyn set is the Netflix special. I'm
- 1:55Speaker 4: would be like, I gotta get revenge. So the next
- 2:00Speaker 4: comedy specially would be called.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Revenge and you put up for free.
- 2:03Speaker 4: I would put that out for free, for free from
- 2:07Speaker 4: myself mixtape.
- 2:09Speaker 2: I think what happens? We have, honestly, so many specials.
- 2:13Speaker 3: The thing about a comedy special in eighty and through
- 2:16Speaker 3: ninety Before Netflix, I'll say they were not that often.
- 2:22Speaker 2: It was a huge it really meant special, literally meant
- 2:26Speaker 2: special because they I mean few and far between.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Then Comedy Central started doing some half hour specials. That's
- 2:32Speaker 3: what Kevin Hart. We found those on team.
- 2:33Speaker 2: But before that, if HBO didn't put it out, you
- 2:35Speaker 2: didn't have a movie. That's it, you know what I'm
- 2:38Speaker 2: saying for for.
- 2:39Speaker 4: Brown, that's yeah, in an actual movie people.
- 2:44Speaker 3: That's why comic view was so important because like that
- 2:47Speaker 3: was the only other way to get introduced because people
- 2:49Speaker 3: wasn't spending the bread like the companies weren't spending the
- 2:51Speaker 3: bread on the full special for comedian. That's why Bernie
- 2:54Speaker 3: doesn't never had a not that's why. But Bernie never
- 2:57Speaker 3: had a special full special. He didn't need it though,
- 3:00Speaker 3: because his death. Comedy, I mean, his Kings of Comedy.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Comedy was just enough. And it's comedy, y'all don't know.
- 3:07Speaker 3: The Kings of Comedy was great. The twenty five minutes
- 3:10Speaker 3: is better than forty five.
- 3:11Speaker 2: It is. As a comedian, you can have a much
- 3:15Speaker 2: much more fire twenty five minutes, stressed said enough, less
- 3:19Speaker 2: is more. Forty five you gotta have a little more
- 3:22Speaker 2: fluff in the hour.
- 3:24Speaker 4: That was the perfect the burning Max said was a
- 3:28Speaker 4: perfect time.
- 3:29Speaker 2: It was just like boom, no wasting motion.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Were just like there was not a molecule of him
- 3:34Speaker 4: overstaying his welcome because it was just quick. It was like, man, huh,
- 3:40Speaker 4: I remember my glasses. Was just like whoo, burning back.
- 3:47Speaker 4: That's how you do comedy.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Smoke a cigarette. Man. It was just like it was
- 3:52Speaker 2: the birth.
- 3:53Speaker 4: He didn't overstay as welcome, He didn't give us extra pumps,
- 3:56Speaker 4: he didn't just.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Talk his way out of it.
- 3:59Speaker 4: He just gave us the exactly what we needed to
- 4:01Speaker 4: be like, yo, when you coming back, threw the money
- 4:05Speaker 4: on the table, when you coming back, that's what you want.
- 4:10Speaker 4: You want us saying when you coming back? Now, Hey,
- 4:14Speaker 4: so what you about to do? A lot of these
- 4:17Speaker 4: comedi especially be like so what you finna dude? I
- 4:20Speaker 4: got you got to go, man dog.
- 4:26Speaker 1: He gave us just the right of man.
- 4:28Speaker 3: I remember me and but less to watch that in theaters.
- 4:30Speaker 3: I remember thinking I might I can't breathe I was,
- 4:33Speaker 3: I was, I couldn't. I was laughing so hard, catch
- 4:37Speaker 3: my breath. I was like, nobody can be this funny man.
- 4:42Speaker 1: I was trying to maintain. I was just like, man, this.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Is just the story man. When he was telling the
- 4:48Speaker 3: story of his niece and nephews. I was in the
- 4:50Speaker 3: living room watching it like I wasn't in the theater anymore.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Him downstairs, he looked down like, I'm sure he it
- 5:00Speaker 3: could be like, I'm sure, I said, that's a funny way.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Yeah, man, I.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Said, Man, I want to do this because we was
- 5:10Speaker 3: in that theater. It was packed, we was dying in there.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a great time, man.
- 5:17Speaker 3: So I'm always comparing specials to that.
- 5:21Speaker 2: That is like, I don't be getting those feelings, man,
- 5:25Speaker 2: not as much. So many now and then I'd be
- 5:28Speaker 2: getting those feelings. But there's so many I was trying
- 5:32Speaker 2: to think of them.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Like the last time I had to watch a special
- 5:35Speaker 3: where I was like, whoa.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Mike Gips, never underrated, never faded.
- 5:40Speaker 2: That was some heat, man, I.
- 5:42Speaker 4: Was like, because I went in watching it like casually.
- 5:46Speaker 4: He was visiting family in Utah, and I was like, oh,
- 5:49Speaker 4: the Mike Gips And I was watching it and I
- 5:51Speaker 4: was just like who I was laughing, and then I
- 5:55Speaker 4: wanted to see it again and again.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Yeah, my favorite specials I run them back. It's like,
- 6:01Speaker 3: I've never seen it before. Yeah, I know, Jamie Fox,
- 6:04Speaker 3: I might need security. I run that back. That that
- 6:08Speaker 3: Brady Bunch joke, that bit with the piano set. Man,
- 6:11Speaker 3: you this is unfair. Nobody can steal this joke from you.
- 6:14Speaker 1: That's what's missing, man, the replayability.
- 6:18Speaker 2: It's hard because I'm not turning the bread down. They
- 6:22Speaker 2: gave me six specials twenty million a pop, or I'd
- 6:25Speaker 2: be like, man, water is wet, women be shopping, babies
- 6:28Speaker 2: are young. What sucks be barking?
- 6:31Speaker 4: What's the minimum amount to where you be? Like, so
- 6:36Speaker 4: you're not you're gonna you're gonna take the five million
- 6:38Speaker 4: and put out a trash special. What's the minimum amount
- 6:42Speaker 4: to where you be like, I'm not putting this out.
- 6:44Speaker 1: What's not enough money to where you be?
- 6:46Speaker 2: Like?
- 6:46Speaker 1: You know what, I'm a veto this. I'm not gonna
- 6:49Speaker 1: put it out.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Is it my first thing on a on a platform.
- 6:57Speaker 2: It's your first Netflix my first Netflix special? Yeah, and
- 7:03Speaker 2: and I hate it and you hate it? You know
- 7:06Speaker 2: it's garbage. And how much money?
- 7:08Speaker 4: What's the minimum to where you be like, it's a
- 7:11Speaker 4: million dollars enough?
- 7:13Speaker 2: Yes, so a million.
- 7:15Speaker 4: You're still gonna be like put it out five hundred thousand?
- 7:18Speaker 2: What? Yes, easy work, five hundred easy work. Do you
- 7:25Speaker 2: know how much money five hundred thousand dollars is.
- 7:28Speaker 4: I'm not doing five hundred What if I hate it?
- 7:33Speaker 4: I'm like, here's your money back? Five hundred grand. Yes,
- 7:37Speaker 4: if I hate the special, I'm not doing the five
- 7:40Speaker 4: hundred grand is not enough.
- 7:42Speaker 3: I would five hundred thousand dollars and be live watching
- 7:45Speaker 3: it like this is terrible in it, guys, another joke
- 7:48Speaker 3: didn't go over.
- 7:50Speaker 2: I would be in the bath with the cash.
- 7:53Speaker 1: I would. I would be five hundred yes, yes.
- 7:58Speaker 2: I'd be on a flight to do my I hate
- 8:00Speaker 2: the special anyway, I'm taking a shower right now, thirty thousand,
- 8:05Speaker 2: meeting the sky. You can hate the special that now,
- 8:08Speaker 2: and I would do it again.
- 8:10Speaker 4: I would be That's what I'm saying.
- 8:11Speaker 1: You already got money. Why are you doing this for
- 8:14Speaker 1: five hundred?
- 8:14Speaker 3: Because there's a plane on the Emirates that's called the residence.
- 8:19Speaker 3: The residence has a seat, has a shower, personal has
- 8:23Speaker 3: a bedroom.
- 8:25Speaker 2: It cost the price.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Already did this.
- 8:28Speaker 3: I didn't have the bedroom. I had the seat. Oh yeah,
- 8:31Speaker 3: the residents man y'all can fly around earth. Oh man,
- 8:35Speaker 3: I'm not coming down on.
- 8:36Speaker 4: I can see if you didn't have money. I can
- 8:38Speaker 4: see if you didn't have the money.
- 8:40Speaker 3: If you got the money, I could make a whole
- 8:42Speaker 3: nother movie with the five hundred. I could make Churchy
- 8:45Speaker 3: Season two alone. I could make a zombie film. I
- 8:50Speaker 3: could put it into the Patreon.
- 8:52Speaker 4: I need seven figures if if I'm gonna hate it,
- 8:55Speaker 4: I need seven figure.
- 8:56Speaker 2: You tripping?
- 8:57Speaker 3: Yeah, you man, you are far removed from five hundred
- 8:59Speaker 3: thousand dollars, and you need to get back to your
- 9:01Speaker 3: room because.
- 9:03Speaker 2: You rabbit mind.
- 9:06Speaker 3: If Netflix has a cashier's check, they already taped it.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Don't need you to sign here. Five hundred five hundred.
- 9:15Speaker 3: That's going into your back. It's not stopping anything else.
- 9:17Speaker 4: You hate it, I hate it. It's gonna be out there.
- 9:21Speaker 2: You can get it back. You can That not enough.
- 9:24Speaker 2: They gonna be ripping me the shreds so to special trash.
- 9:29Speaker 3: They do that to people all the time, even if
- 9:32Speaker 3: you love your special.
- 9:33Speaker 1: I mean, Shulman never recovered.
- 9:35Speaker 2: She has been fine ever since, but.
- 9:37Speaker 1: She never recovered from what from that Netflix special.
- 9:41Speaker 3: I don't think she was hurt by it at all.
- 9:44Speaker 3: People hate specials that you like. You could love your special.
- 9:48Speaker 3: When people be like this is trash, they gonna something
- 9:51Speaker 3: different If you love it personally, that's what. But you're
- 9:53Speaker 3: worried about you're talking about. You agree with it.
- 9:55Speaker 4: The trash I'm talking about. I hate the special. The
- 9:58Speaker 4: public hates the special. It's a garbage special.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Your account loves it. It's just pure money putrid. Yes, man,
- 10:07Speaker 2: you've earned enough. I would do it for less than that.
- 10:12Speaker 2: One hundred tony. You must not know me. Fifty thousand, Yes,
- 10:18Speaker 2: I don't. I don't think. Why are you doing this? Thousand?
- 10:24Speaker 2: There's a plane called the Resident.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Come on, man, it's a garbage special.
- 10:30Speaker 3: I don't care. I don't care. I got paid, Come on, man,
- 10:35Speaker 3: for fifty k.
- 10:36Speaker 2: It's a job I've done. I've done terrible work for less.
- 10:40Speaker 4: I was done terrible work to file work for less
- 10:43Speaker 4: and terrible work.
- 10:44Speaker 3: I got paid thirty grand at a bank. It took
- 10:47Speaker 3: me a year and I didn't do no work. I
- 10:50Speaker 3: took that money, didn't they. I turned into terrible day's work.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Every day of the week I was at Boeing watching YouTube.
- 10:57Speaker 1: My name is on the line.
- 10:58Speaker 2: My name is on the line for all my work.
- 11:01Speaker 3: I haven't been proud of a lot, but I always
- 11:03Speaker 3: deposited that check and I always spent that bread. What
- 11:06Speaker 3: you're talking about, man, I used to I used to
- 11:09Speaker 3: flip burgers, used to prayer times like this or rhyme
- 11:13Speaker 3: like this.
- 11:13Speaker 2: What I would be proud? This is trash man.
- 11:17Speaker 4: Now now, mind you, twenty years ago would have been like,
- 11:21Speaker 4: give me the five hundred thousand, Kevin.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Today and in the future, come on, ain't gonna be like, no.
- 11:29Speaker 3: I'm cashing out, baby, you for real? All jokes aside
- 11:35Speaker 3: all jokes.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I'm dead serious.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Netflix.
- 11:39Speaker 1: You have money, it's not enough.
- 11:42Speaker 2: You watch it, you don't like it. They're like, you
- 11:44Speaker 2: gotta wire it back.
- 11:45Speaker 4: I'm wiring it back. I'm like, here's y'all money back.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Let's do. Let's do another one. Please, No, no other one.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Ain't no other one. No, I can't. I can't. I
- 11:56Speaker 2: can't have my Netflix debut be trash to be man?
- 12:00Speaker 3: Then will it could be? Netflix could be Prime could
- 12:02Speaker 3: be too. It could be if you gave you five
- 12:06Speaker 3: hundred to put it on Tony Baker.
- 12:08Speaker 4: All these people to be in the commonsation be like
- 12:10Speaker 4: Tony needs a Netflix special? Where is your Netflix special?
- 12:13Speaker 4: And then it comes out in this garbage?
- 12:16Speaker 2: Tony needs another Netflix special that take comfort in the
- 12:20Speaker 2: five hundreds. Your next special could reference it. It's not
- 12:24Speaker 2: the end of your career. I'm not afraid of failure.
- 12:26Speaker 2: It don't make me no never mind, I'm.
- 12:28Speaker 4: Not really afraid of failure either. But it's just like,
- 12:32Speaker 4: I hate this ship right here. I hate it. I
- 12:36Speaker 4: don't want y'all seeing it.
- 12:40Speaker 2: My problem is I was poor for long, so I
- 12:45Speaker 2: will take the money. Tell you why.
- 12:49Speaker 3: I'm gonna tell you why. Specials, movies, TV shows. Lots
- 12:53Speaker 3: of people have taken their bread and turned into some trash.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Oh for sure.
- 12:56Speaker 2: So why am I gonna be the martyr of perfectness? Because?
- 13:00Speaker 1: But no, because you already have money.
- 13:02Speaker 2: And so do they. People have turned in the worst specials,
- 13:06Speaker 2: the worst movies.
- 13:08Speaker 4: But they don't have the integrity.
- 13:10Speaker 2: And neither do I. Filthy rich. If they can take
- 13:14Speaker 2: that money and turn in some trash and leave it
- 13:17Speaker 2: to their children, I could leave that to my grandchildren.
- 13:19Speaker 2: All jokes.
- 13:20Speaker 3: I wouldn't have probably spend it all on the plane,
- 13:21Speaker 3: but I would take that flight the show. Then I
- 13:25Speaker 3: probably put there and my grandkids gonna be like, my
- 13:27Speaker 3: papa is special, was trash, but because of him.
- 13:30Speaker 2: I can go to school. Man, Look, you gotta bring
- 13:33Speaker 2: That's what we talk about legacy. It's all what I'm thinking.
- 13:36Speaker 3: If I die after that special you like my papa's
- 13:39Speaker 3: integrity is good more soup, sir, not my baby, I
- 13:42Speaker 3: would feel better.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Like I could do a trash movie for that. I
- 13:45Speaker 2: could do a trash movie for what.
- 13:47Speaker 4: It's different because the movie is not me that's writing it.
- 13:51Speaker 4: The stand up special is me. It's my voice, my material.
- 13:55Speaker 4: It is literally me.
- 13:57Speaker 1: If I'm in the trash movie, I didn't write this script.
- 14:00Speaker 2: I'm not wrote it. If I wrote it in this trash,
- 14:03Speaker 2: I'll be like, Yo, we're not putting this out.
- 14:07Speaker 1: We're not putting this out.
- 14:08Speaker 2: If I if I personally think the script that I
- 14:11Speaker 2: wrote is trash, I was like, nah, we not for
- 14:14Speaker 2: the five.
- 14:15Speaker 4: We're not doing this. This is garbage. And I'm the
- 14:19Speaker 4: star of the film. I'm the I'm the writer.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Director, and the u Wes Anderson. But you're acting too,
- 14:25Speaker 2: And I'm.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Like, man, this is garbage.
- 14:29Speaker 4: You think Quentin Tarantino puts out movies he hates.
- 14:32Speaker 2: No I don't think so, but he ain't me. I
- 14:37Speaker 2: got kids to feed. I got I'm about to have
- 14:39Speaker 2: to pay for college.
- 14:40Speaker 4: I'll being an unsempable piece of garbage. I did Madam
- 14:43Speaker 4: Web too. They gave me five hundred thousand. I'm the
- 14:47Speaker 4: Madam Web too.
- 14:49Speaker 2: There's not as much personal blame if you're in.
- 14:52Speaker 4: I'm just I was just in the movie.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Man tone, I don't seen some specials that that person they've.
- 14:57Speaker 4: Seen it, Oh, is garbage.
- 15:00Speaker 2: And they let it go out and they cast that check.
- 15:02Speaker 3: They not gonna be better than me and and I
- 15:05Speaker 3: have integrity in a lot of ways, but not on
- 15:07Speaker 3: no art.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Come see me live, man. Matter of fact, since I
- 15:11Speaker 2: got special, they coming, I'll be funny on Instagram that day.
- 15:17Speaker 2: If I call it out, people will forget it. I
- 15:21Speaker 2: would take the five and I think I was tripping,
- 15:23Speaker 2: but get it for the five too, and I'm right back.
- 15:26Speaker 1: You can make content out of it.
- 15:28Speaker 2: That's why I'm maybe I never lost.
- 15:30Speaker 1: I got comedians to really lose.
- 15:32Speaker 3: I'm telling somebody was like when I made this video
- 15:34Speaker 3: by mo Nique, They're like, what if she comes back
- 15:36Speaker 3: at me? It's great because I'm remember when Teddy Rody
- 15:40Speaker 3: called you broke. It was like, as long as I'm
- 15:42Speaker 3: not trying to harm me, it's all materials, all jokes.
- 15:46Speaker 3: And I'm also self aware enough. I would never stand
- 15:48Speaker 3: behind something that I don't like and act like it's good.
- 15:52Speaker 3: I'd be like that was a boy. But I got
- 15:55Speaker 3: kids to feed, I got a legacy. I'm not letting
- 15:58Speaker 3: nobody don't. I'm not gonna have the integrity on the five.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Y'all put a lot of trash out. You ain't gonna inteprety,
- 16:04Speaker 3: ain't gonna start with me.
- 16:05Speaker 1: I need six I need seven figures.
- 16:08Speaker 2: I need seventy eight bucks.
- 16:12Speaker 3: I put videos out that I don't love all the
- 16:14Speaker 3: time that I well, what's the difference.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Somebody likes it free, There's no pressure though.
- 16:21Speaker 3: And also what I think is funny and good isn't
- 16:23Speaker 3: always what people think it's funny because I can hate
- 16:24Speaker 3: it and people could love it. There's a lot of
- 16:26Speaker 3: videos I put up that I'd be like, Nigga, you
- 16:28Speaker 3: ain't funny. You shouldn't even be doing this, and it'll
- 16:30Speaker 3: be like, well, you is the funniest. This is my
- 16:31Speaker 3: favorite video.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Right.
- 16:32Speaker 3: So I know sometimes as a comedian, I could be
- 16:35Speaker 3: harsh on my own self. So if you give me
- 16:38Speaker 3: the five and I don't love it, that don't mean
- 16:40Speaker 3: nobody will. Some people like specials. I'd be like how
- 16:42Speaker 3: I never laughed at all? And people be like, man,
- 16:45Speaker 3: I was, this is great?
- 16:47Speaker 2: So I'm not gonna be the one who was like, no, man,
- 16:50Speaker 2: I died the five. Man.
- 16:53Speaker 3: All right, let's hop into the episode Today's Top ten.
- 16:57Speaker 3: I'm sorry, Welcome to the Ball Brothers podcast. I'm Kevin Stay.
- 17:01Speaker 3: We talk about movies and sometimes we ran about specials. Man,
- 17:03Speaker 3: if you're watching this, you ain't got nothing to do anyway,
- 17:05Speaker 3: So what you're worried about? So we wasted sixteen minutes
- 17:09Speaker 3: talking about a hypothetical situation. You wasted the whole hour,
- 17:14Speaker 3: You wasted the whole forty five?
- 17:16Speaker 2: What?
- 17:17Speaker 4: What?
- 17:17Speaker 2: What? What rush are you in get to the topic? Why? Why?
- 17:23Speaker 2: If you're watching this, you already ain't doing what you're
- 17:25Speaker 2: supposed to be doing, and if you are, you ain't
- 17:27Speaker 2: giving it your full attention. So what doesn't matter how
- 17:29Speaker 2: much time we waste. It's all time waste. The whole
- 17:32Speaker 2: thing is a time was. It's all entertainment, all right.
- 17:36Speaker 3: For the first topic, Top ten original Nintendo game. This
- 17:44Speaker 3: is the one I'm talking about. Updown left bea updown
- 17:48Speaker 3: left right, aba be starting We Actually I'm throwing Contra
- 17:51Speaker 3: on right and this is not Super Nintendo Original Original one.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Contra was great.
- 18:00Speaker 3: It's so funny when I when I played Contract for
- 18:02Speaker 3: the first time, it's so funny, like to where video
- 18:04Speaker 3: games are now.
- 18:05Speaker 4: I was like, man, this it don't get no better
- 18:08Speaker 4: than gun. Would never I remember playing. It was like, yo,
- 18:11Speaker 4: it don't get no better than this. I remember looking
- 18:13Speaker 4: at my brother like, ain't nothing better than this?
- 18:16Speaker 2: It never will be.
- 18:17Speaker 1: It ain't gonna get no better.
- 18:18Speaker 2: You could shoot a flamethrower while flipping. And the one
- 18:22Speaker 2: who got a spread gun the spread.
- 18:24Speaker 4: If you had the spread.
- 18:26Speaker 2: On contra, you was undefeated.
- 18:30Speaker 4: You was like even when you laying down in the
- 18:34Speaker 4: bay stage where you just running, when you running straight,
- 18:37Speaker 4: you gotta lay down on the thing.
- 18:39Speaker 1: You got to.
- 18:39Speaker 4: Spread the spread Gunshow how the dudes couldn't do nothing
- 18:43Speaker 4: against the spread.
- 18:44Speaker 1: They was jumping.
- 18:45Speaker 4: They were like, man, they got the spread, they was
- 18:48Speaker 4: blowing up. You had to spread, dud when you died.
- 18:52Speaker 4: When you had to spread, he was like no, no.
- 18:55Speaker 4: Then you went back to the pellets.
- 18:56Speaker 2: She's like the pellet bullets.
- 19:00Speaker 4: You was like, man, I need I need to know
- 19:02Speaker 4: the capsules where the capsules at?
- 19:05Speaker 2: And then you hated that damn laser. But the laser
- 19:07Speaker 2: was strong. There was shoot it.
- 19:09Speaker 4: You had to just lay one shot off and let
- 19:12Speaker 4: it go through everything.
- 19:13Speaker 1: But you an't have the patience.
- 19:15Speaker 4: You was used to hitting the buttons rapidly, so the
- 19:19Speaker 4: laser never really worked out and your aim had to
- 19:22Speaker 4: be precise. You like, man, when the spread comes back
- 19:26Speaker 4: and the fire, one was cool, but it was weak,
- 19:28Speaker 4: but it was it just looked cool.
- 19:29Speaker 3: The fire just looked I'm like, no one will ever
- 19:32Speaker 3: touch me. I got fire coming.
- 19:36Speaker 4: But then they would they would work the ankle and
- 19:38Speaker 4: come underneath the underneath the circle and.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Now you're back to the plant.
- 19:45Speaker 3: The fire was there was too much distance with the flames.
- 19:48Speaker 3: First of all, wasn't that the same fire on Mario
- 19:50Speaker 3: Brothers that you throw is the same fire from Constance
- 19:53Speaker 3: and they have two fires.
- 19:54Speaker 4: That's like one grab grabbed the little thing from Toper
- 19:58Speaker 4: Mario brother to Marios Ace on there.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Oh yeah, super Mario Brothers one and two.
- 20:03Speaker 2: And three three was on it original yeah two Marist
- 20:08Speaker 2: Brothers three.
- 20:08Speaker 1: I think I think Mario's had three slots on him.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Three. I think you had three slots.
- 20:15Speaker 3: I feel like I feel like I feel like that's
- 20:16Speaker 3: the best selling game of all time. Well, the Mario franchise,
- 20:20Speaker 3: maybe not the actual game. I wouldn't be surprised you
- 20:22Speaker 3: want to take up three.
- 20:24Speaker 4: I think Super Mario Brothers, Super Mario Brothers two, and three?
- 20:28Speaker 2: What's them? I like two the best, I like three.
- 20:33Speaker 1: A lot of people don't. A lot of people like
- 20:35Speaker 1: three the best.
- 20:35Speaker 4: And I get it, you're a raccoon, You're flying, I
- 20:37Speaker 4: get it, We're going it's dope. But it was something
- 20:42Speaker 4: about two I was really enjoying. But all three of
- 20:44Speaker 4: those I feel like are golded.
- 20:46Speaker 2: I feel like that.
- 20:47Speaker 3: I also I remember feeling like the music was really
- 20:51Speaker 3: popping when they went to the under didn't.
- 20:55Speaker 2: I was like, Okay. What I like about two is.
- 21:06Speaker 4: That we could be different characters, and I like how
- 21:08Speaker 4: every character had.
- 21:09Speaker 2: A different attribute. Luigi could jump and.
- 21:12Speaker 4: Super high, Princess could float, Toad was super strong, so
- 21:16Speaker 4: when you was on those desert stages and you have
- 21:18Speaker 4: to dig, Toad like and Mario was just like the
- 21:22Speaker 4: general character. He was just middle of the road for sure.
- 21:26Speaker 4: But I just I just liked the different worlds on
- 21:28Speaker 4: the on the two. And then you had the little
- 21:30Speaker 4: gamble where you can gamble on the little slot machine
- 21:33Speaker 4: and try to get free men.
- 21:34Speaker 3: Good times, man, good time, Mario duck hut, gotta go
- 21:38Speaker 3: on there.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Tone now, come on now, tone what you're saying.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Now, let's let's talk about other games before we get back.
- 21:48Speaker 4: You held this two is two to one note though, tone.
- 21:52Speaker 3: But you gotta remember you you looking at it at
- 21:54Speaker 3: forty seven.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Even then we held the gun at the TV.
- 22:00Speaker 4: It was cheating and then you was just and then
- 22:01Speaker 4: the dog laughing at you. Dog he would come up
- 22:10Speaker 4: with the dust. Not duck the duck Hunt tall. It
- 22:13Speaker 4: was too simple, man.
- 22:15Speaker 2: But it was. It was revolutionary.
- 22:17Speaker 1: I mean, I'll give you that.
- 22:18Speaker 2: It was you could shoot at the TV.
- 22:20Speaker 4: You can shoot at the TV like you remember where
- 22:22Speaker 4: you was remember the clay. Yeah, that's what you was
- 22:26Speaker 4: more sophisticated when you have to clay this like that
- 22:29Speaker 4: was like.
- 22:30Speaker 2: But but we got tired of duck Hunt fast. Duck
- 22:33Speaker 2: Hunt didn't it didn't take the whole man.
- 22:35Speaker 4: We were just like you played duck Hunt for ten
- 22:37Speaker 4: minutes and let's get to the real games.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Put that contract back on hold it for us.
- 22:45Speaker 4: We'll put duck Hunt to the side for that, to the.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Side of number five. Man, you ain't gonna tell me
- 22:51Speaker 2: six more games better than duck Hunt. You want to do?
- 22:55Speaker 4: Now, what about Tetris? Tetris is fire. I love the
- 23:00Speaker 4: I played Tetris to this day.
- 23:01Speaker 3: I play a game on my phone called Wooded Puzzle.
- 23:04Speaker 3: Woody Puzzle is basically Tetris that goes down.
- 23:07Speaker 4: Tetris is eternal. Tetris will never die. Get that, Tetris
- 23:13Speaker 4: will never die.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Man, that is eternal.
- 23:16Speaker 3: Tetris was so fun as a as a what a
- 23:20Speaker 3: simple game to really you talk about like hours spent.
- 23:26Speaker 4: I was in there just Tetris is firing, and you
- 23:29Speaker 4: always feel like, man, I could, I could, I could
- 23:31Speaker 4: beat this if I.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Could just get a line. Man, y'all holding out on
- 23:35Speaker 2: the line.
- 23:35Speaker 1: It was always you.
- 23:37Speaker 4: You had everything perfectly set up for that long piece
- 23:41Speaker 4: to come in and just be like boom, but it
- 23:43Speaker 4: would never come in. Then you forced to cover up
- 23:47Speaker 4: the slot.
- 23:50Speaker 2: You know the ts ain't going in. Good man. I
- 23:53Speaker 2: set it up for the line, and you're gonna go
- 23:55Speaker 2: t T block block block, and then they gave you
- 23:58Speaker 2: a long piece. When you all the way to really
- 24:02Speaker 2: turn it around.
- 24:02Speaker 4: That's when they'd be like, but give them the long
- 24:04Speaker 4: piece now now that we're at the top of the screen,
- 24:07Speaker 4: get that long piece in there.
- 24:08Speaker 3: They give you the line early. Don't give me the
- 24:09Speaker 3: line at the top of the level. Man, I can't
- 24:11Speaker 3: do nothing with the line.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Now when I needed it. Sick of it all right,
- 24:15Speaker 2: Tetris is for sure.
- 24:16Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely, we gotta get Super Techno Bowl in there, man,
- 24:20Speaker 4: there's no way you leave it off. Tech Bowl super
- 24:23Speaker 4: techmo that's the one where we got the real players
- 24:27Speaker 4: on there and the real team.
- 24:28Speaker 3: There's one thing that was funny about tech Moo boil.
- 24:30Speaker 3: First of all, you gotta use your imagine that ship
- 24:32Speaker 3: the score touchdown.
- 24:33Speaker 2: You gotta run diagonal up the field. Keep doing this
- 24:37Speaker 2: down the field up. That's what's your.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Juke because that turn that turns and they would chase you.
- 24:42Speaker 4: They couldn't do nothing with in line in a straight line, man,
- 24:53Speaker 4: Nobody cut him off in the past.
- 24:54Speaker 3: The last guy in line should have meet met you, right,
- 24:58Speaker 3: But he's like, I gotta go and I can't go.
- 24:59Speaker 1: On, can't I can't go. I just got to keep running.
- 25:02Speaker 3: I used to love when you score a touchdown and
- 25:04Speaker 3: they would cut to the animation.
- 25:10Speaker 4: In the second when you had the running the run touchdown,
- 25:14Speaker 4: and then if you score on the past you would
- 25:16Speaker 4: hop into the other dudes. Sometimes you would get the
- 25:20Speaker 4: animation like if it was a close tackle, you about
- 25:23Speaker 4: to pass the ball, they would show you that dude
- 25:25Speaker 4: diving for you, like it's my ball gonna make it through.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Yes, it was so rare.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Man was high.
- 25:34Speaker 2: He was like people in the audience are like there
- 25:38Speaker 2: was just little circles in circles.
- 25:40Speaker 4: Punch out, Man, Mike Tyson's punch out, Let's get it.
- 25:46Speaker 2: I would remember when that first came out. I probably
- 25:49Speaker 2: didn't sleep good for Man. I didn't get enough glasses. God,
- 25:53Speaker 2: I couldn't get it. Man, I was like this, and
- 25:55Speaker 2: then you were you were.
- 25:56Speaker 4: You would run across these fighters and you ain't know
- 25:58Speaker 4: how to beat them at first.
- 26:00Speaker 2: You had to figure out their pattern.
- 26:02Speaker 4: I remember when I first fought King Hippo and I
- 26:05Speaker 4: was just like, I was just I just kept trying
- 26:07Speaker 4: to hit him. I was like, yo, he's blocking everything. Man,
- 26:11Speaker 4: I didn't know he can only be hitting when he
- 26:13Speaker 4: opened his mouth, and so I was just like working
- 26:15Speaker 4: and then you tied in the little maggots breathing pink,
- 26:18Speaker 4: and then he just like by one here and quit.
- 26:21Speaker 2: I'm like, man, what was supposed to do?
- 26:23Speaker 4: Once I hit him in the mouth and started working
- 26:25Speaker 4: his little band aid on his stomach, I was like
- 26:29Speaker 4: bow and I was like hoo hoo. And then he'll
- 26:32Speaker 4: never get back up. I was I got your ask.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Somebody said Sonic on Genesis, Girl.
- 26:39Speaker 4: You just gonna go to a completely different Sis said original,
- 26:42Speaker 4: purposely original Nintendo Aba B.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Star, she said.
- 26:47Speaker 4: Sherry Tucker said, Sonic on GENII. I know y'all doing
- 26:51Speaker 4: Nintendo games. Sonic on Genesis, what's the best movie you've
- 26:58Speaker 4: ever seen? I'm gonna tell you the best movie I've
- 27:00Speaker 4: ever seen was Thriller by Michael Jackson. That's the best
- 27:04Speaker 4: move I've ever seen, hands down.
- 27:06Speaker 2: That's what it be like on Instagram.
- 27:09Speaker 3: Sure it might not have heard it, but on the Instagram,
- 27:11Speaker 3: don't be pissed off when they don't hear.
- 27:13Speaker 2: When they don't maybe off the top and people don't
- 27:15Speaker 2: follow directions. I beloved, what the hell are you doing?
- 27:21Speaker 2: All right? Well, there was a wrestling game on the
- 27:23Speaker 2: original Nintendo. Oh, pro Wrestling. That was Starman. I mean
- 27:28Speaker 2: just we ain't got the money for the license yet.
- 27:31Speaker 4: No Startman, Starman, the little creature from the Black Lagoon.
- 27:36Speaker 1: See dude, it was.
- 27:38Speaker 2: It was the dude that looked like Rick Flair Man.
- 27:41Speaker 2: It was pro wrestling though. Let me look it up,
- 27:45Speaker 2: because bro I was pro wrestling was fire. You knock them,
- 27:49Speaker 2: you throw.
- 27:49Speaker 4: Somebody out that ring, and then you dive on.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Them from there.
- 27:52Speaker 3: Start Starman, King Slender, Yes, Giant Panther.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Pro wrestling was fired. Bro I used to feel. Yep,
- 28:05Speaker 2: you hold each other and then you do the movie.
- 28:07Speaker 2: You do the kick flip. Yeah. I ain't saying we
- 28:10Speaker 2: got to put it on, but I love that.
- 28:11Speaker 4: Pa paper Boys, paper Boys a good time, Pap. I'm
- 28:16Speaker 4: not mad at paper Boy.
- 28:17Speaker 2: I love paper Boy. That was such a simple game.
- 28:19Speaker 2: It was you just delivering papers.
- 28:21Speaker 4: Let's get double Dragon up and oh man, double Dragon.
- 28:26Speaker 2: That's what I'm you know what I like about this.
- 28:28Speaker 3: At this time, you can play at home and then
- 28:29Speaker 3: you go to the Arcade, and they had the Arcade
- 28:32Speaker 3: still had the better version. Graphics was just like man,
- 28:35Speaker 3: these graphics, like I can finish it at home, but
- 28:37Speaker 3: I can't.
- 28:37Speaker 2: Yeah, my home. They officially the video games were better
- 28:40Speaker 2: than ourcade. Double Dragon was a good time.
- 28:43Speaker 1: I guess we got to end it with Zelda.
- 28:45Speaker 2: You sure you want to keep three marios on? All right,
- 28:49Speaker 2: we'll take off because we got three marios. What's missing? Patreon?
- 28:55Speaker 2: We got, We took Mario two off, we got Duck
- 28:59Speaker 2: Hunting still off pro wrestling, it's still making it. Man,
- 29:02Speaker 2: I never played Zelda, wasn't I'm with you, Remo. I
- 29:05Speaker 2: never played Zelda.
- 29:06Speaker 4: But I know we can't have a we can't have
- 29:08Speaker 4: a definitive techmobowl list. I mean, uh Nintendo list without
- 29:14Speaker 4: Zaeldern Guyja game.
- 29:17Speaker 1: To me, you should be on there.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Get it, getting get Mario two out of here, putting
- 29:22Speaker 2: Ninja Gaiden for sure. I always said, gaydon, I don't know.
- 29:26Speaker 2: I don't know. Nobody else said around do doc a
- 29:30Speaker 2: sorry game. I don't remember ever playing that on the Nintendo.
- 29:35Speaker 4: Turtles that first That first Turtles was really.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Hard, man. That was a tough game. I never beat it.
- 29:43Speaker 2: You couldn't go that far. I love Kuming food. Do
- 29:49Speaker 2: we need all the marios we need?
- 29:51Speaker 4: We need to on there for sure, you have to
- 29:53Speaker 4: have Super Mario Brothers on there, and you have to
- 29:56Speaker 4: have Super Mario three.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Super Mario Brothers is the reason for the season.
- 30:00Speaker 3: I give you one, you gotta have three. But Mario's
- 30:05Speaker 3: taking up two slots.
- 30:06Speaker 4: I mean, but it deserves the Double Drivel. I used
- 30:10Speaker 4: to love Double Drive and Blazing steel Fire. They had
- 30:14Speaker 4: me in the hockey. This is what I'm saying, man,
- 30:18Speaker 4: what you want? What you want to take out? You
- 30:19Speaker 4: want to take over one of the Marios again.
- 30:21Speaker 3: I don't know, man, because I can't take off Contra
- 30:24Speaker 3: the contrat and I played Mario Mario one, I played
- 30:27Speaker 3: a lot just because it was when we first.
- 30:29Speaker 1: That was the reason for the season.
- 30:32Speaker 3: Enough, Mario three, I played a lot because I loved it.
- 30:34Speaker 3: Mario two, I don't remember playing that much. Tetris is
- 30:37Speaker 3: just my team.
- 30:38Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 30:39Speaker 3: Techmo Bowl was great. Punch Out I love Too and
- 30:43Speaker 3: paper Boy and Double Dragon. I never played Zelda.
- 30:46Speaker 4: What it means I never got into Zelda. Are we
- 30:49Speaker 4: doing this personally or we talking about the defending?
- 30:51Speaker 2: I think we got to do personal I'm not being real.
- 30:58Speaker 4: Yeah, it put Double Dribble up in there, man. Double
- 31:02Speaker 4: Dribble was a good ass time mention for.
- 31:04Speaker 2: You, though, Zelda.
- 31:07Speaker 4: But I never got in the zelder never. I just
- 31:10Speaker 4: knew it was a gold cartridge that looked fired. But
- 31:12Speaker 4: I never got in the zelder me personally.
- 31:15Speaker 2: And dunk Hunt, you're still man, duck huts out of here. Man.
- 31:18Speaker 1: It was fun for five minutes.
- 31:20Speaker 4: It's the big league choosing games them first two minutes
- 31:24Speaker 4: of big League. Choose the best thing you've ever choose.
- 31:28Speaker 4: But then after a while you're just like, man, that's
- 31:31Speaker 4: a good point. I'm just shooting at the screen. Now
- 31:33Speaker 4: you're gonna start cheating, and then there's no emotion.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Did you? Was you a cheater? Yeah? Cheating on there.
- 31:38Speaker 4: I would start out legitimate, and I just get mad
- 31:40Speaker 4: at that stupid dog laughing at me, and I would
- 31:42Speaker 4: get up clothes to be like, huh, how you like
- 31:44Speaker 4: this dog? I ain't missing now, bitch. I hated that
- 31:50Speaker 4: dog laughing at me. Man, Man, he was giggling.
- 31:54Speaker 2: I wish you could shoot the dog. Yeah.
- 31:56Speaker 4: I shot him every time. I shot him, every time
- 31:59Speaker 4: he jumped back.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Get to the bushes out like Papa, Pap sick of
- 32:03Speaker 1: this dog.
- 32:03Speaker 2: I ain't even going for the ducks no more. I
- 32:05Speaker 2: wanted the dog. I want to kill you.
- 32:09Speaker 1: He wasn't loyal man, punk Ass only.
- 32:12Speaker 2: With you when you killed the duck. Yeah, he's only
- 32:14Speaker 2: with you when you went with you, when you wouldn't
- 32:16Speaker 2: when you he want you in the ja. That man like.
- 32:22Speaker 1: I was unloaded on that punk ass dog Man.
- 32:24Speaker 2: He had to spread. He would have died. The spread,
- 32:26Speaker 2: the conscious spread, conscious spread would have been like you
- 32:29Speaker 2: can't hide. Nothing would have made it out of the
- 32:32Speaker 2: grass with the spread.
- 32:33Speaker 4: Mosquitoes, dragonflies, dogs, cats, anything.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Oh shoot, Mega Man. I never played Mega Man like that.
- 32:43Speaker 2: I was big Mega Man.
